Pandora's Kiss

"Pandora's Pearls"

Crystal tears drown under the best velvet distinctive feel.
A Ghostly feel that lead into a clear diamond road.
I found myself seduced down an Ancient Silk Caravan path,
There she hid behind the golden stones she built around her heart.
She was a white gem against the deepest night.
She spoke Latin words upon this dreamy sky.
Her eyes were deep and the size of my mother’s midnight pearls.
I fell in to the stare of her bedroom eyes.
Wishing to taste the sweetness of her coconut milk fragrance.
She lowers the cloak to reveal the beauty in her black pearly eyes.
Raven hair under her soft sensual disguise.
Her lips redder than the violet rays of the sunset.

She buried her beauty, and then exposed what’s under the cloak.
Soon, her body turned into rot and bones.
Her fingers pointed towards another path,
A rugged road of stones and pearls.
I took a blade and press it against my skin,
Concealing my life shut, after she revealed all my forbidden sins.
Her lip, her eyes, her pearly grin, my last vision as my blood drew thin.
A sweet kiss of death before I fell into the eyes of Pandora’s Spell.

Hidden Treasures of the Humble Poet

This is to a gentle poet
Who spends time as if in hiding
Humble and kind, not needing praise
Writing only for the love of writing

The things you’ve written are treasures
But their beauty is hidden away
Overshadowed by people in the spotlight
Who receive attention every day

But you… you’re the sound of silence
Like wings of a bird in flight
The flicker of light in a distant storm
The twinkling of stars at night

You are beauty which goes unnoticed
Like the first cup of coffee’s steam
The sun setting in the evening
Dew on the grass in the morning

You’re the warm glow of subtlety
Lavender blowing in the breeze
Fresh air after a rainy day
Salt in the air near the seas

Thank you for showing your beauty
Not only in your lovely poems
But also in your true character
In the humility you have shown

I hope one day you’ll be noticed
Get the praise you have been deprived
But for now, be safe in the shadows
Soon enough, your day will arrive

3/16/2013

This is dedicated to all of the deserving poets who may never have a tribute written for them. I can think of several off the top of my head whom I'd love to write a tribute for... because of their humility, compassion, and kindness, evident through their poetry as well as their comments on poems and/or blogs.

A Gift From God - A Sonnet

I am a wish a prayer from mortals lips
That reached heaven and touched God’s fingertips
And returned to earth wrapped in flesh and blood
A gift from God’s unconditional love

So love and cherish me as God does you
And guide and teach me well in all I do
And through the years a garden we will grow
Filled with the fragrant beauty of the rose

And on the day I reach maturity
And feel the need like leaves to leave the tree
To show the world the colors that are me
Rejoice in all the beauty that you see

For I am your child the gift that God gave
No More than a wish and a prayer - away.
                            ~~~~~
The Flower
“A Flowers Wilt”
Witness into the small existence
That abides the beauty of-----------
Freelancers all around,
Just to get a good look.
A baneful abrasion, the flower took
It captivates you in-------------
Reeling you, and reeling you,
until you pick the right flawless touch.
Dandelions swaying thin,
And here we fall like petals.
Ready to exploit, the beauty of----------
Inhale the fragrance,
Courtyard azure eyes,
Embarking in a wishful eternity,
A crush they become, when the loveliness up and left.
A bully against arrogant, thru feminine perfumed veils.
Tulips waiting for better auspicious’ sky.
Asters claim the eclipse's dinginess censors it from the brilliance of the sun.
~
A lonely rose
In My Helix World-
The out-and-out are born.
Cries in the dimness,
A sweet Lotus echo’
Slight yelps of agony, carried off by pollen breeze.
The earth revolves to fast,
It injects herbal essence into the wind.
For a split second, we feel the pixie dust.
Channel the essential, as it fades.
Earlier beauty, calmness-
A flourish smile,
Rusk of flower, a bluebird’s bread.
Like candles and dew they stream and limber energy.
Opposing others of its humane,
Against the command of its importance,
Pierced by its own elegance,
Thriving slowly of its own will,
A short while, gone astray!
The Flower wilts.
The gardener cries.
Evening Primrose in your dream
I wanna be like the fragrance of an Evening Primrose gentle and sweet beneath your sheet Cluster of petals which bloom pink blossoms to wither softly into your sleep Tell me What is the colour of your night? Do you need me by your side? Let your window slightly open Call the wind to breeze me in Let your candle slightly burning Feel me swaying deep within Tell me What is the colour of your night Do you need me by your side? Don't feel blue and don't be lonesome I would stay till dawn greets day Then you'll find me by the stream Evening Primrose in your dream
Mother and Child
And She said Yesterday I lived for thoughts and dreams But today I live in my daughter's happiness All my goals I left behind to watch her reach her own All my friends I do not see to stay with her at home Money might get tight, but what is money compared to the pure joy of a child What is money compared to the warmth I find in her large hazel eyes Success lies dormant on shelves for years to come But what is success compared to first giggles compared to first steps,compared to first mouthfuls and her little grabs, Compared to gurgles and babbles compared to the first time she calls me mama compared to moments she holds on to my hands What is beauty 'n the world compared to a pearl this beautiful child,this coloured coral petite pretty girl And she said Yesterday I lived for thoughts and dreams But today I live in my daughter's happiness I had my days of wine and chocolate eclaires Roses on the doorstep,unsigned love letters with spiced scent of cologne and romantic words Today I live in my daughter's shadow to watch her live her own thought and dream I watch her bloom in Autumn gardens from Princess of hearts becomes queen Tomorrow i might not be here and maybe she would never get to see the white of my hair and wrinkle in my smile but today she knows I would love her forever long more after i die
Person of Colour
Person of colour is coherently germane,
He is never insane.
Some things about this person of colour may seem strange,
He is simple and he is yet to engage.
This person of colour loves the critics,
It is from them, he ticks.
This person of colour is natural,
And so, he is not a trial.
This person of colour loves to exchange
Ideas beyond his range.
This person of colour loves keyboard,
Tis with this he comes on board.
This person of colour is a charcoal- a black beauty.
This person of colour is me.
.."?Your Beauty!"..
Blackberry kisses, within the celestial starlit mornings hour....
Stirring these passions aglow, amid the flickering flames of desire ~
Caressing such thoughts of you; smouldering embers, that burnish so very brightly!
These ardent heated emotions; florids, of the blue oranges rising ~
Crossing the boundaries of a tomorrows promise....
Once thought to be but only, a forbiddens dream?!
As I now feel your ivory breast, pressing softly to my burning heart
Beating, beneath the magic of your silkened strawberry lips; moist ~
Burying this arrow of our light, gently, inside of thee....
To gather your cries, as you reach for the sky
And arch as a bow, your life; pouring its pleasures
Upon this world of my own, soul!
Tasting now your glistening sweetened nectars; ripe
While twirling unto the delight, of such joyous and piercing prose....
These mounds of vanillas creams, melting, their flavours into me
Entangled, within this fairy tales maze, of your alluring eyes ~
Which consume my very being, with the breath, of your beautiful gaze!
Intensely dissolving these walls once built; like painted clay, inside of a broken kiln....
This barrier now breached, by your majestically perfect smile ~
To become but a flowing river once more, of glittering and sparkling currents
Beneath your rainbows colours, of everything, that was forever meant to be!?
This tenderness of your touch, as soft as a whitened doves; smooth and subtle....
Quenching my deepest thirst; as you engrave your longing nails
Of rosebud scarlet, into the cores of my no longer bleeding, searching heart!
Dripping with its desires for you; pulsing and exploding, inside....
Mesmerized, by your presence; and cast, upon the shores of your love ~
As the candle light glows, afore these shadows that dance; their enchanting trance
And the silhouettes sway, beneath their yellowish moon....
Aflame, amid your igniting embrace; while you stroke these fires, that burn
Yearn, for only you and you alone; your light, and your touch ~
The very essence which breathes this life, your life, profoundly, inside of me!
Within these blackberry kisses; dreams, of a tomorrows horizon
Now thriving, atop the crystals waters, of this sea of love....
Pounding; throbbing; penetrating; tingling; the warmth of your breast, pressed
Eternity, upon the tip of my tongue; your sugar laced taste ~
*UNICORN*
.                 Like the UNICORN
At times I fear I am the mysterious of all animals.
Like the Unicorn I my self do not feel real
My inner beauty is the only thing you can steal.
I am my own mythological creature..
A roaming soul with a little will power to heal
Ages of my forgotten tear.
Like the Unicorns prophecy so unclear.
I compare your beauty to be the eye of my stare
I propose to you the one who possess a magical power so rare
Absorbing the energy of the sun in to my own spear
Untamed like the wild horse is the way I appear
I have no feelings of real existence, my life to you I compare.
Like you I want my thoughts and memories to disappear
Wasting away absorbing natures life
Drowning in my own and everyone's emotions
Haunted in the woods by a hunters knife.
Thousands of wolves hungry for my motions
Fallen in to thoughts of legends and myth
Pondering in a past life who am I with
I feel a  touch upon my bones.
Am I he the Unicorn
A horse with one horn
Unlike the Unicorn who fell to exist
My suffering  really does exist.
How I wish every thing about me was fake
Your magical beauty  I can't resist.
To be like you hiding upon the mist
Like the Unicorn who is a horse when it has no horn.
I feel like a nobody when my life slips into the abyss
A depth of wishing to have never been  born
With the vision of  Heaven’s Realm with a Unicorn twist
Like the Unicorn who only exist in stories, Legends and Myth.
I come out of peoples mouths like a blown kiss.
Shedding many tears feeling all alone.
I want to be like the Unicorn who are bound to roam
Take me away from this wonders of thorns.
Give me a magic Medallion to free my spirit out of these pits
Infatuated with the gorgeous sight upon the Unicorns.
A passion among beauty is where my life fits.
TO SHE: DRAWN TO THY BEAUTY {quatrain}
Drawn to thy beauty, grace rains down;
     I choose this drowning than a drought –
Where ten thousand are called mine own;
     Yet, deny thee and live without.
Skilled not enough to understand;
     Words unheard, find their voice through thee;
As I reach out then find thy hand;
     I see light take darkness from me.
Chaos knits together unity:
     Thoughts run free, once captive in chains;
Cleansed from fear in thy purity;
     Would I leave, canceling such gains?
