Anastasia

She leans whispering,

whilst black deadened eyes stare back ~~

Amidst translucent

reflection, she now reflects ~~~*

In compassionate sorrow.

Her sibling taken

having disappeared years back ~~

Background beauty blooms

in ignorance of her loss ~~~*

If only they knew the truth.

REMEMBERING THEM IS DEEP SORROW

Remembering them
is deep sorrow piercing the
inconsolable
heart that must weep to release
what the flesh can't overcome.

A-NOT-SO-JOLLY CHRISTMAS

presents, carols and cheers?
But for one it won't
be a jolly Holiday
diagnosed with breast cancer.

High School

High School, what a drag
My best friend has class today?
Why did she start now?
School for her starts tomorrow
I wish I could have done more
