Three gifts from Heaven
All priceless in their appeal
Yes.. Faith, Hope and Love
They descend on us like rain
And the greatest of these.. Love!

One Wise Wish

A pearl more precious
than possession of knowledge -
If I had wisdom
beyond that of Solomon,
I’d have no need for wishes.

For Kristen Bruni's Contest:
"If I had One Wish. . . . "

Mantra in Mantle

They don’t walk to them
To beseech their shows of hands
They as a rule stay
On a raised dais and talk down
At their feet on crusade grounds

Golden Platform

Corn silk flags the wind
Sunflowers dance the road's ditch
sun falls down the sky
leave me end of day wonder
tip like a wink over pond.

The crowd is untrue

The crowd is untrue,
Thus the need to stand aloof,
...Honestly be friends
With an honest few, is right.
Aye, the key to the victory.

Cower not under
The impulse of consumerism,
Since you aren't a beast.
Thus, to set things as always,
Means giving the best in you.

Give and Take

There comes a moment
when at the crossroads of life...
a need of poetry,
an encompass of one’s self
to give of and to receive.

Ask his ink why he slumber
Or his papyrus
Words they themselves would forget
Since their lord is indisposed

Yellow leaves

Yellow leaves falling
into the lake. Its surface
caressed by the breeze.

My thoughts hop from leaf to leaf
cleaving the breeze up to the Sun.

Will Strands Of Thread Hold

Will strands of thread hold

Hidden thoughts within my mind

Words never spoken

Fearing to give utterance

Or will silence be broken.

Eyes On The Inside

Eyes on the inside

Dreaming of the outside world

Safer to be there

Than to be found wandering

On an endless inner sea.

Always say thank you. Being affable and kind is the sweet honey popular for catching flies, but a “trick” that brings no shame. Mix splendid charm with great humor and honesty. . . . and goodness gracious! Since graciousness is goodness, it’s the golden rule for me!

Devils Within

“It's a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways ” – Siddhartha Buddha

Our friends we follow willingly and happily enemies we scorn but we of conscience know best our devils come from within Listen, be aware there’s a right path and a wrong refuse to give in heavenly voices guide us to eternal salvation

Of what use is time
If it’s consumed by passion
Servicing others
Servitude that drowns your dream
While you toil and save and pay

Do You Want to See?

See oh psychic eye
Reveal to me this future
Shrouded in secrets
Oh Whisper fortuneteller
Of this paranormal show.

Silence psychic eye
Reveal nothing more of this
Of worlds unspoken
Such wisdom requires time
I’m not sure I want to know.
