Where Reveries Reside

Tears subside,
hushed breaths draw ebbing tide,
soft virgin sands, un-walked and damp, shine.

A delicate filigree of silvery brine
brings an interlude where grief and beauty entwine,
gently swaying between now and then.

Thoughts of ‘remember when’
stir again.

Scattered far and wide,
bygones shimmer in rock pools,
scents on breezes ride...
elusive remnants of love
under bitter-sweet moonlight.

There is a place where reveries reside,
ensconced in time between the lows and highs,
where troubles disappear in ocean’s sighs
and hopes return with happiness inside.

Where shades of blue, and rose hues coincide
to nurture promises of sweet reprise,
there is a place where reveries reside,
ensconced in time between the lows and highs.

A haven to reflect on love’s divide,
recall that smile, the twinkle of those eyes
with fondness, then let woven dreams arise
with threads of gilded memories to guide...
this is the place where reveries reside.

A wall between

Loves call awaits me

    Or perhaps it is knocking

        What if I answer

            Once opened finding no one

                Only a wall between us

A haven of repose-w

Solitude value
Depends on one’s self only
Prison, heaven, hell
It may be sanctuary,
As we ourselves make it up.

A New Day

Away all sorrow

   Move swiftly into the past

      Today's a new day

        Wanting only happiness

            Tomorrow is further still...

A Long Shadow

Slipping into shapes
sun drips streams 'round darkest depth
and I, feeling small,
find even smallest ants cast
shadows long 'neath vast blue skies.

Sucker

kiss of venus fly trap
suck the marrow from my bones,
encase my heart, secrete,
dissolve the myth of wings...
death be true to death

*love, death or truth may be the sanctuary

"Mended Cracks"

The cracks in my heart

can barely be seen by eye

                                                  only felt with words

                       and a reflection of pain

that you have also been through...

pride of Ephraim

"a Didactic Tanka"

   bright were the arrows,
      struck the pride of Ephraim.
          Ephraim harlot…
`pride she stood, as city’s queen,
               `pride’s econ, icon no more.

                 A Contest: Remembering 9/11

My heart goes out for the sake of innocent lives lost in this inferno. In no way, is my verse meant to be insensitive to this tragedy of innocent lives lost. I just want to write about the higher precept reason, misunderstood, behind the game and not the end human concept stress. Love's energy policy must be balanced it has damages imposed in the economics of the human concept of greed. It is only that I think this game to be fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Read in Jeremiah Chapter 51:11-14 kjv to justify the prediction of which I speak. The world monetary policy led by America is the image of a prostitute.(c kjv Rev. Chapter 17&18) This economy as is must be destroyed. (Rev. 17:16-18)

Contest:Gogyoka

Sponsor: Joann Grisetti

##Gogyoka, is a form of Japanese poetry pioneered by Enta Kusakabe in 1957 in his quest to find freedom from the constraints of tanka poetry. Unlike tanka, gogyoka does not have any syllable requirement for the length of its lines. The only hardfast rule of gogyoka is that the poem should be five lines long, with line breaks occurring as a result of natural breath-pattern, which is individual to a particular speaker and their language.
