"September, beautiful month of my birth, is nigh, but I cannot feel glad." September, drifting in with glow of moon, you stifle Summer’s ardor. . . and she grieves. In guise of fire, the Fall comes all too soon. Your breath grows cool. You’ll blow and loosen leaves. The hills and woodlands will reflect new hues. You stifle Summer’s ardor. . . and she grieves. In Autumn’s chill, the colors are a ruse. For as you pass, the trees are set ablaze. The hills and woodlands then reflect new hues. Though warmth may linger through your final days, old Sun is waning, yet he still seems strong! For as you pass, the trees are set ablaze. September, you’re a melancholy song. Though time be short, you paint a brilliant dusk! Old sun is waning, yet he still seems strong. October looms. . . Your ending will be brusque. September, drifting in with glow of moon, though time be short, you paint a brilliant dusk. In guise of fire, the Fall comes all too soon.

The Eternal Tree

I am Alive Forever and always Essence Rebirth Renewal
I have earth to ground me I have wind to move me I have fire to cleanse
my spirit I have rain to quench my thirst for growth
I have sun to enlighten me feed me I am my own mother

Out of the Sun

             in the sun
              to long
The skin became the bark of a tree
the soul turning to brittle scars
 for uncaring worlds to see.
             my face
            is a pile of
           old owl bones
sewn into banks of midnight creeks...
even the plump, over ripened ones
no longer look at me...
but if their car was desert flat,
their oil grim reaper black
they'd paint a wormy, water colored smile...
slide it through my barbed wired heart
so long as I could spin the jack...
so I spin it until their potholes turn to satin-
              in the sun
               to long
the mind has smoothed over
like pebbles in Saturn rings..
a forgotten spice in the conversation of life
an hour later the word snuggles up to me

Tomorrow or forever( which ever comes first),
I'll stay wrapped inside
till my skin turns back to ivory
to an easter egg yesterday
to a time of bouncing ball and spinning jack,
when the mind was a great silky nest...
the face a flowered meadow place
where watercolors swirled all day,
the heartworms kept at bay.

I'll stay hidden within the briar,
till the jewels of memories sooth
every scar - every stripe,
the molten knots of cruelty,
till the sweetened fruit reclaims the tree.
until then only my curtains breathe...
       ...stayed in the sun
              to long

Like The Sun

Like the sun awakened, from slumber grey
Blessing every tortured fray
embraced my soul, your glorious gaze
and set my lonely heart ablaze
like the sun amass a brand new morn
upon your whispered wind was born
our love, till endless ages sworn
like sun enveloped, rainy days
you devoured all my hopeless haze…
and since dost now my heart amaze
with joy and laughter, lifes’ rephrase
but like the sun, twas time to set,
now life dost seem just wretched fret
sunless days chase moonless night
drifting along alas lonely plight
A Godly gift you were to thee
rewarding every desperate plea
now I must sail amidst raging sea
blind to hithers destiny.
But I shall rise above the moon
Amidst the troubled waters swoon
For love like ours it strengthens mast
To ride relenting waters vast
Till time dost ask for my return
To the place my tethered soul doth yearn
And all my cares shall be set free
your womb my love this soul shall flee
where thine was always meant to be
in Heavens Grace… Eternally

Moon and Sun

Although we meet the dying day Our sun ensconced in melting blue The moon’s held high to swing and sway Her light may sprinkle, softest hue No other reason but for you There’s a time when all stars must go When the sky can hold only two And that is when my love will grow. One night, the whitest white will stray Snowflakes sticking to dying rue The sun may flash its final ray But after that, the golden’s through And once again the night is new We’ll let the winters beauty show The fireplace our burning cue And that is when my love will grow. There is a time in early May When flowers bloom and spring is new Then laughter shakes as children play Shrieking with fun that’s over-due Who could cry today, guess a few. . . I’ve felt the sunshine’s warmest glow One day I’ll feel your warmest, too And that is when my love will grow. When sunshine fades, moon glows anew; And when she dips once more, he’ll go And when they’re in the sky, just two- And that is when my love will grow.

Every Day

Slow is the sun knowing that I am already awake...
Unwilling are these eyes to search that which has already been seen
Now, time waits upon my hands to make something unknown
Does anyone know how long it's been?
All my life has turn a shame
Years are passing without a gain...

Moments becomes hours for me, when I see the others smile in minutes
Old is my mouth; for not having strength for such movements
Now, time waits upon my hands to make something unknown
Does anyone know how long it's been?
All my life has turn a shame
Years are passing without a gain...

This mind, beats so much more than this heart
Unwilling are these eyes to search that which has already been seen
Easy is the wind to those that welcome its flirty touch
Soft are the sounds of the leafs being crushed
Dazing is the street light, when watched throughout the night
Animals pass and smell my sent; small acquaintances if you might
Yonder noises: added ingredients, to help imagination take a flight

Watching children play
Eying women walk
Dim; the lights will say
Nothing seems to stop
Everyone's alive
Sadly, so am I
Death's a friend to each one of us
All of us will cry
Yelling out: Come friend, tears will not shed mine

This mind, beats so much more than this heart
How heavy is the rain on a wet coat longed?
Undisturbed is the playing of my high school song
Rusty is my skin, but I not worry for it to be touched
Sounds of other voices keep me hushed
Dealing with myself so long
Aging is my only grown
Yield please earth, been so still, I feel you spin

Friday games I never win
Reaching out to grab myself
Inside me, there is no help
Does anyone know how long it's been?
All my life has turn a shame
Years are passing without a gain...

Slow is the sun knowing that I am already awake
Awake to feel the air up above me
Tumbling down in quakes
Riding upon hopelessness
Dying upon wait
Alone with my heart inside
Yearning for her to stay...

While I was standing near My Autumn tree

The audio version of the Poem can also be heard on my You Tube
Channel 'RavindraKK1' or by using the below given URL

While I was standing near My Autumn tree The Sun was fading, with all its grandeur and beauty, Somewhere far, very far away amid the Poplar trees. I was in a state of enchanted stillness, Beholding the gold which was showering on me, With every gush of wind coming from the east. The earth was wrapped in a lovely darkness, Slowly the Sun rays slipped away from the hands of the evening, but It embraced the night in her arms perhaps to console its forlorn heart. I was glued with the fragrance of Autumn, while the Sun was still fading slowly, Leaving only a yellow and radish glow in the sky. The golden leaves of Poplar were still falling on me, Coming to me while flying from the Poplar tree. Suddenly the birds said adieu to me, reminding me once again the passing of time, While I was standing near my Autumn tree. Ravindra Kanpur India 4th Sept. 2011

Of Fawn And Fairy

Inside this forest
so bright and mild
a fairy lived
her name, Wonder Child

For all the forest
knew of this girl
to which they knew
she would change the world

A fawn she crept
upon one day
it sensed no danger
no need to escape

Her acquired ability
to speak with those
on four legs with fur
scurrying would go

She was as a spirit
in the woods she did walk
she would talk to the animals
to her they would flock

She'd gentle reach down
and with the smallest of hands
much like the grains of sand
beside them she'd stand

Together as one
the fairy and fawn
if you close your eyes tight
you may see them at dawn

Donna G Fowler

by Donna G Fowler

"I have seen the fawn wake up at dawn...
and then she did not tarry.
This tiny deer so full of cheer
set out to find the fairy.

She knew that the winged one
would help her through the day
and with the sun at end of day
would quietly slip away.

But fawns grow into beautiful deer
and time just passes on.
Now the mother deer, it is so clear,
seeks the fairy to teach her own."

Donna, I hope you don't think I am presumptuous to think this would improve on your beautiful poem... No, It is just an example of how perfection can trigger creativity in the least of us...
You have my honest admiration and respect for this and many other fine works in your portfolio... Love Ya! Jake

Mother Doe and Fairy
Inspired by Donna G. Fowler’s
‘Of Fawn and Fairy’

I saw the fawn wake up at dawn...
and then she did not tarry.
This tiny deer so full of cheer
set out to find the fairy.

She knew that the winged one
would teach her the right ways
and with the sun at end of day
would quietly slip away.

 Fawns grow into beautiful deer
as time just passes on.
Now the mother deer, it is so clear,
seeks the fairy to teach her own.

The fairy knew her language
and all the others too.
She had tutored many youngsters
in the proper things to do.

The forest had been good to her
and the years had been kind too.
When the Doe felt life within her
she knew just what to do.

She knew just where the fairy should be
each and every day.
She wanted her to teach her fawn
to live the forest’s way.

The mother doe was nearing
the birth of her first fawn.
She arrived there at the clearing
just at break of dawn.

She sensed the fairy knew --
for she felt her presence there.
The comfort she had sought to find
Could be felt in the morning air.

She lay down in the comfort
of a nearby grove of trees
And quietly awaited there
in the cooling morning breeze.

Then she heard the quiet flutter
Of tiny little wings
She saw the fairy coming
as the birds began to sing.

She now relaxed and soon she knew
the peace the forest sends
And she found herself surrounded
by scores of tiny friends.

They all had heard the news
and all had been invited
To come and see the miracle
of two friends reunited.

The fairy knew why she’d been called
to this very special place
She was here to help the deer
receive God’s special grace.

It was not long – it had begun
And quickly, it was over.
There lay the mother doe and fawn
in the comfort of the clover.

The fairy then took stardust
and sprinkled it in their eyes.
Now when they exchange gazes
their love is not disguised.

The fairy and the doe and fawn
then went their separate way
knowing this would not be the last
of many special days.

Jake, I knew you could continue this after what you placed in my review. First I am honored that you were inspired by something I started. Secondly, this is an amazing continuation of my poem. You are so visual in this and I could see the field of clover and the new baby fawn. I felt as if I were there watching. Fantastic job my friend.. I'm so excited!!!!

From The Glowing Embers

You glow deeply like a warm summer's night,
while I shine brightly as the sun -
opposite puzzle pieces of dark and light,
complementary pieces that fit just right,
causing time itself to come undone.

Through thick and thin,
virtue and sin,
you could be poor, you could be rich,
you ease the edge, you ease the itch.

I will love you more than power and money,
breathe in the essence you emote,
taste your mysterious honey,
sweet and golden down my throat.

When you're right, when you're wrong,
this is all part of our love song.
You satiate my appetite,
leaving just enough room
for me to sip up your tears,
sip up your remaining gloom,
until we have conquered our fears,
and there is nothing left but light.

When the temperature turns colder,
as we become frail and older,
from out of the glowing embers
of our Autumn, late September,
there will appear a most precious gem,
causing me to reminisce all over again
about that long-ago fateful spring,
when we began our passionate fling.

And after all these years, I still sing:

"You glow deeply like a warm summer's night,
while I shine brightly as the sun -
opposite puzzle pieces of dark and light,
complementary pieces that fit just right,
causing time itself to come undone."

This Most Auspicious Day

This most auspicious day, in any given year,
comes with blushing hue of dawn when that brilliant sphere
which sets a trenchant course so earth won’t go astray
shows us its abounding span of light, for midway
through our planet’s cycle, June’s Solstice time is near. . .

Winter left me feeling hollow, but I now can hear
trills of birds, smell lilac, and see the sky more clear.
And it’s in the warmth of sun that I wish to stay
this most auspicious day!

Blooming like a sunflower, radiating cheer,
I’m in my element when summer months appear.
The sun beneath my skin ignites desire to play.
Who can think of labor when lust for life gains sway?
Time to shine in Zenith sun is time I hold dear. . .
this most auspicious day.

I drift into the night

I dream about a day that may never come,
I watch my life unravel, simply come undone.
My feet begin to drag as I walk across the floor,
Still I cannot wait for what the future has in store.

I go out for a walk as the sun is getting low,
The sky explodes in colors as I watch it go.
It kisses the horizon and then it goes away,
It seems to mark the end of just another day.

I stand upon a hill as the light begins to fade,
I think about the day, decisions that I made.
Light begins to falter as it all goes dark,
I feel this spark growing inside my heart.

I look into the valley as the darkness grows,
I see the sparks of fireflies they seem to glow.
I hear the birds sing they soon will retire,
I look up at the moon it appears to be on fire.

The stars up above look like diamonds in the sky,
I watch the lights on planes as they streak by.
I think of the darkness filled with all these lights,
They seem to be like beacons to guide me through the night.

I lay upon the grass and gaze upon the stars,
They sparkle so bright in a sky dark as tar.
I close my eyes and imagine I can fly,
Travel to the moon as it rises high.

The day has give way to the wonders of the night,
Everywhere I look, I catch another sight.
As time flies by, I wonder where it went,
A breeze blows, carrying a floral scent.

I climb from the hill it’s time to go to bed,
Visions of the night still dancing in my head.
Soon tomorrow shall become today.
The sun will rise and the stars will go away.

Time for a walk

The sun hung low in the sky
And the light was beginning to fade
Maggie the Schnoodle and Jack the Retriever
Stood before me
Tails wagging
Noses pointing to leashes
Looking expectantly
Tapping their toe/paw
Checking the clock
Clearly reminding me
It was now time for their daily walk.

Okay, I promised. We'll go after I do just one more thing.
I’ll just check my email, oh and just search Google on that one thing I heard about...
Oh look there, well I wonder if anyone’s done any research on that, let’s see...
Well, hmmm, are there any blogs with opinions on the matter, let’s see…
Ah ha! I must bookmark this page and come back to it,
For I must take the dogs out before it gets dar………………k?

How can it be? Where did the sun go?
Why, only a moment ago there was plenty of light.
Alright Jack, let's go Maggie …how 'bout a walk by the light of the moon?

Summer Scent

Summer scent is the smell of freedom
where we can escape the flavor of boredom
so we plan to have our vacation on the beach
where we can relax and fresh air is within our reach

The warm wind tenderly embraced my spirit
I felt excited on this first visit
on an island where refugees can find paradise
an island where spending time is wise

The dulcet breeze gently kisses lush green trees
and the mirthful sun smiles over the vast seas
Where surfers play with gigantic waves
and are not certain on what road it paves

The fluffy clouds are smoothly sailing
the birds are singing and harmoniously dancing
There are butterflies that are colorful in hue
like enchanted fairies changing colors from pink to blue

I need my sun block, it's time for swimming
the tables are full because later we're all eating
Ladies are smiling to many cool surfer dudes
Children are hungry seeing delicious exotic foods

I picked a shell that whispered peacefully in my ears
and we built castles that we fancied over the years
out of the small grains of white sands
and all you need is helping hands

God was really great in creating splendid wonders
that were loved by all especially the nature lovers
There are numerous oceans that are aquamarine
and abundant trees and grasses that are green

The brother sun was slowly hiding
because the sister moon was coming
I guess it was our time to pack
but there will come a time for us to go back

Go back to a place of leisure and freedom
where you'll not taste the flavor of boredom
It would be hard for us to say goodbye
because truly we will come back and say Hi!

Never giving up (Revised)

(Verse 1)
There’s an aching in my back
An my knees are buckling in
My body’s hurt n bruised
friends r’ say ‘n take a step back ‘n relax

got so much on my mind
faster and faster I here myself say
I cant give up when I’m half way through
pure determination drives me hard and true

Never giving up
I can see it now the sun is shine ‘n on me
Never giving up
I’m almost there the inspiration I need

(Verse 2
The devil can try to slow me down
Putting all those boundaries road blocks round
But without a flinch in my face
I’ll jump up move and around
My destiny is calling to me
Got lots to accomplish no time to tire
There’s a sunrise coming up in my face
My dreams are right there I’m following through

(Hook x 2)
Never giving up
been a long time but the sun is shine ‘n on me
Never giving up
I never looked back now I see inspiration in front of me

Strawberries And Unknown Girl

     Strawberries And Unknown Girl

Strawberries grow unaided in the field
Green, red and magic on the day
Sentinels stationed; they speak kindly of the Sun
And sometimes of an unknown girl
She’s there just out of reach
In the air, partaking of sweet pleasures
Years collect themselves in silence
Still sense her song and mystery adrift
Along strawberry rows aligned in history
Those corridors of time in endless days at play
And there she stays a fair young maiden
A constant unknown wonder to this day

The End

The time will come
When days will end.
All life will cease.
The end of Men.
The earth will die
With no remorse,
As nature takes
Its plotted course.
No children left
To wonder at the sky,
Asking all their questions
With wondering eyes.
The time will come
When the sun will rise,
Only to be seen
By dead men’s eyes.
No plants to drink
The golden light,
They all will be gone
Struck dead in their plight.
The population will perish,
The world will stop;
All will be gone,
Animal, plant, human, and crop.
The time will come
When all will grow dark,
No sun left
To find the earth as its mark.
Then the wounds are too deep,
Too many to mend.
Time will be over,
The earth is dead.
The end.

A couple in Love

A young couple sits together on the beach
As he holds her close darkness approaches,
The sun free falls toward the sea.
Refusing to let her go he kisses her,
And whispers in her ear,
“I love you”
He lets his true feelings show
Three words so simple yet so meaningful
She smiles realizing she wants to be no where else in the world.
“Let’s never forget this” she says
60 years later…
An old couple celebrating their anniversary,
Wades into the water as the sun drops to the horizon.
Holding hands the woman looks at him with teary eyes,
“Do you remember…” she begins to say
“The first time I told you I loved you?” the man responded with a smile
“You told me never to forget” he chuckled
Tears roll down her cheeks as he holds her close
Refusing to let her go he whispers in her ear,
“Let’s never forget this”

Home Awakens

The house sits silent.

All but for the creaks and groans

as the house settles on it’s aging foundation.

The arthritic sound of wood.

A faint hum from the refrigerator,

is the backdrop, to the passing of time

from the Grandfather clock in the hall.

A cat sits on the stairwell landing.

A silent witness to the night.

It’s green eyes glowing softly,

within the slash of moonlight.

The gentle sounds of sleep

come from the rooms above.

The slow steady drip of a faucet,

the only sound within the home.

A breeze sweeps through an open

French door, billowing, gauzy curtains.

Carrying with it the scents

of Honey suckle and Rose.

The wood rope swing that hangs

from the gnarled tree, is caught

up in the nighttime breath, to cast about.

The old rope squeaks it’s protest.

The wind in the leaves rustle out

their own soft song. Singing to sleep

the birds and small creatures of the day.

Welcoming the night hunters.

As the night passes and the sun begins to rise,

so too the house awakens.

The cat uncurls to stretch

and head out the open door.

the drip of the faucet,

is now a steady stream,

Washing off a face of sleep.

From the kitchen, comes the smell

of coffee freshly brewing.

So starts the new day.

The sun will ride this day's sky,

to set once again.

The house will settle anew,

welcoming the night time stage.

Healing Season

Autumn came this summer
on a cool winter's day
Then spring walked in behind her
Then spring soon danced away:
A flower grew beside her
from a freshly fallen pile of snow
And the petals fall onto the ground
shortly after the winds blows:
As quickly as the seasons change
so the same, time does pass
and the memory of frozen ground
is soon your bed of grass:
The time which a flower bares it's bloom
or clouds share their summer rain
Quickly passes with the shifting winds
As it guides away your pain:
My lover spoke just as a friend
As a stranger, then took my hand
As one beginning drew to another end
the setting sun made me understand:
The Earth is not that far around
The sun rises in the day
And as quickly as the lightning strikes
The storm can roll away.

Arm Chair Traveler

Is it any wonder
that words plucked out of the air
cannot describe these common things?
Too often, heedless, what eyes
acknowledge as ordinary, is ours
to behold with brighter vision, a privilege to savor

The scenery surrounds every curve. Let us savor
each contrast, views that stab our wonder
grabbing our fervor. An open road, and the world is ours!
This is a time of admiration, a breath of new air
that is stirred by beauty seen with new eyes.
Mountains, valleys, rivers, streams, wondrous things!

We who split devotion into two things
He who loves the highlands, or he whose passion may be a seaside savored.
Let our wheels and hearts take us far, where eyes
would spy a snow capped peak, where climbing trails would make one wonder
how the view must be from elevation, or how thin the air
How looking down upon the vast, an earth that's ours

Perhaps we'll see a mighty purple rise, while having our
first glimpse of the western sky. While packing our things
let us not haste to travel on..let us linger, hold the vision, that takes air
from lungs, delay departure. Savor
a picnic from the road, to dawdle, chat and wonder
where the next stop should find us, and what will feast our eyes

Where days are bright and the sun and breeze sting our eyes
Choosing to take the back road highways, our
wheels flying like wings over hills and valleys, and wonder
of all wonders....discovery delight in the smallest things,...
a seagull soaring above, a blue blue sky at his back, a sun to savor
Finding thrill from the damp foggy morning, or the sunshine and salty air

Perhaps a seaside village, so quaint and sweet, having an air
of vintage life. Or skycrapers meeting the modern day sky, which rise in amazement
before eyes
The choices are unlimited, so much to savor
The choice to dream can be ours
There are no proper words to describe these things...
Is it any wonder?

A chance to breathe the air from a high mountain peak is ours
A chance for eyes to feast on a wave or breeze of seaside things...
Close eyes, imagine them all, and be impelled to savor a world of wonder

'Space and Time'

Space and time, matter,
energy, gravity, light,--
the laws of physics,
both known and unknown, and we
are children of the Big Bang.

Into the night sky
I gaze, awed by space and time
and the wide expanse
of the Milky Way, a dot
among endless galaxies.

Through this soup and stew
of space and time, dark matter,
and dark energy
they spin and swirl and collide,
filling this big universe!

Our own Milky Way
formed from this vast space and time
and sprouted our Earth,
this blue orb circling the Sun,--
the cradle of all known life.

Space and time, matter,
energy, gravity, light,--
the laws of physics,
both known and unknown, and we
are children of this Cosmos.

A Ripple in Time

A ripple in time, we are here for a moment like fleeting vapors in this vast, great universe-- members of a divine God. Into the night sky I gaze, awed by space and time and the wide expanse of the Milky Way, a dot among endless galaxies. They spin and swirl in a dance in the gaping voids of space and blackness, their light coming to us from a time before our Earth formed. A ripple in time, we are here for a moment like fleeting vapors in this vast, great universe-- members of a divine Whole.

The Unseen Miles

Yeah I can get so hyped up with life so high I'm so freaking verbally drunk like a psycho,
Mind so wrong nothing in my vocabulary at that time in my mind can get right though,
A piece of this hate cake in this corrupt dictionary I'm going to have to take a bite though,
Whether the answer is written in hell yeah or heck no,
Im going to shoot through your deer less body like a scoped out rifle,
You just another liar if you say my words aint make your mind shake and awake with a stifle,
Im shooting sideways, up, down, so much I get high low,
I could be telling true lies when you see my fake gun ridden smiles,
I might just shoot self in head because Im getting a little too suicidal,
Im in need of God because I keep skipping planned revivals,
Im reading the rhyme master Shakespeare I aint reading the Bible,
Im playing with word bullets shiny as a burning star struggling for simple survival,
I want people to tell the truth but cant help but keep telling themselves lies though,
Hiidden demons in the book of lifes closet dont tell me how it is because I know,
I too onced played with life like a toy plastic as Tyco,
Im going to stand out in this world like the tower of Eifel,
Im going to bring out all my freaking hidden poetic files,
Im putting word ryhme puzzles together like floor tiles
Im going to do it now not later gator or after while crocodile,
I got little time in life left on the sun dial,
I got but few years or even months left before I face my ultimate trial,
But first Im going to have some fun into the night sun until I get riled,
But family comes first I must start to think of my own seed, my very own child,
I got to stop the ways of living stupid like Im out of hand so wild,
I must drink from the fountain of life like the Egyptians do from the Nile,
Pull my own way out this ****ing trash, this bull *****pile,
I got to stay strong in the mean time because everything in life takes a little while,
Sometimes I dont give a **** about nobody because it feels as if I have nothing to live for, but now I got a child I would die for
So now I must keep living because if I die I know I would leave behind a child behind that I would cry for,
I must walk that road less traveled like a car breaking down on the open road still trying to idle,
Walking amongst greats is going to be my own personal hypo,
I will walk strong in the days that I die in my last UNSEEN MILES......

The day Passes By

Sometime I can’t see past the day.
Many times I get in my own way.
Thoughts swirl, then land on the page,
Just like a beast released from a cage.

The sun rises as I thought it would.
The light shines down, just like it should.
I hear a voice and drift away,
Wonder where I will wind up today?

My mind wanders what shall I do?
I see a smile, it sees me through.
I can’t see where I’m going, just where I’ve been,
I know that the start is a good place to begin.

I begin to live my life day by day.
Words speak what my heart has to say.
I seem to find comfort where there was none,
I see so much peace I try to grab some.

The day flies by, I don’t know where it went.
I dig in my pocket, but the money is spent.
I find a piece of paper that you gave to me,
All of a sudden, I see what will be.

I spread my wings expecting to fly,
To reach out, then soar through the sky.
The sun sets, it starts to get dark,
Another day recorded inside my heart.

The stars come out and shine so bright,
Guiding me through my journey this night.
They sparkle like diamonds catching my eye,
The last thing I see as the day passes by.

Char- Sun On the night of the charred sun a male child is born The Indians called the harvest Moon a charred sun This became the child’s name as he grew in wisdom He was not a warrior he was born to be a healer Char sun grew into a very strong spiritual man When he was small, a white man had given him a flute He told Char sun if he learned to play it, sweet music would arise All of nature’s living things would come to sit at his feet He would sneak off into the woods for hours at a time practicing One night Char sun saw the same Moon he was born under A voice began to speak to him and a fire entered him The voice told him to play your gift will lead you His fingers flew across the flute and the music was sweet Coming from the forest were the deer, squirrels, eagles and bears The rest of the tribe heard the music and began pouring into the forest Curious about where the sweet music was coming from and why Arriving upon such as seen the chief bent down and knelt on one knee The remainder of the tribe slowly dropped one by one to their knees For Char sun has become the holy man within the tribe The animals that follow him carry the spirits of our ancestors The chief stands to his feet and declares “This night Char sun Has become our holy man called by the great king of the sky The song of their tribe began to rise, paying homage to the king Our winters will be fruitful and our land will prosper cried the chief Char son was born to guide us into the holy lands Each warrior here will follow and protect him The buffalo will run and our bellies will be full Our time of famine has been broken through the gift Of Char sun Carole Cookie Arnold Constance La France’s Contest Tell His Story

Dusty mats of coconut, and hats,
And wicker chairs that creak; and chats, and cats
On sills that suck the early sun that spills
Through glass to pass into the frills and twills
That talk and twitter, pass the time till tiffin,
Pass the time of day this way until
The chills of morning pass, and cups and saucers
Clink and find the sink.

				The daily round’s
Begun and yarns are spun in sun and shade
Until the fading light brings night; and glass
That’s black as peat reflects the hats and cats
Upon themselves while vats of black-tar dark
And bats are kept outside.

				And clinks announce
The hour for drinks.

The Tree and I

The Tree and I

I met a tree today while walking under cloud ridden skies. She was a young oak past her sapling age. Her bare branches, still in winters hold, stood stark against an evergreen backdrop. I felt her loneliness seep into my being, so I slipped over and gave her a hug. I whispered to her, “I know lonely too”, and heard an audible sigh within her wind swept branches.

a young oak
stands bare in winter's keeping---
brown carpeted ground

After a length of time, undetermined, I slid to the ground and leaned against her trunk. I was content to keep her company for a short time on such a dreary day. Nowhere else did I need to be. No one else did I need to see. So, I leaned my head gently against her rough bark and as we both shared a quiet moment of contemplations.

a woman sits
at the base of a tree---
cloud laden sky

Eventually I felt the cold and damp seeping into my skin and I shivered. The young oak felt this and spoke to the breeze in her highest limbs. She asked it to blow the clouds from the face of the sun so that we could both enjoy the warm rays… and so it was that we were both sun kissed on this early morning day.

clouds drift
away from the sun---
a girl smiles

This soon became a daily ritual, loneliness drifting away with each visit. She listened to me, as I listened to her, and time flew more quickly by. Spring arrived before we knew it as the young oak beamed with her new buds. It seemed our visits now became less lonely, filled as we were with the awakening of Mother Earth.

new buds
on a young oak---
birds singing

I shared with her and her with me, throughout the winter’s days. We laughed together and wept together during the longest of lackluster days. A friendship formed of kindred spirits that helped chase the blues away. With spring’s awakening, our confidence gaining, we rejoice in the birth of each new day.

green grass
returns to the lawn---
daffodils bloom

The Other Side

The Other Side
Tick Tock, Tick Tock, time rattles, the clock in the clock tower, flows forward!
Tick, tock, tick tock, time waits for no man.
There is a liar and a thief, Just One!! For all other liars and thieves are his victims,
And he is the author of the illusion of fear, and the suffering that fear begets.
And he is the author of hatred, and the suffering that hatred begets.
And he is the author of death, and the suffering that death begets.
And when the clouds come overhead, and the whirlwind, grasps unsuspecting innocents,
He laughs in his deception, and attempts to convince even the elect, that the sun will
never shine.
But there is a tock, a tick, a time, that waits for no man, not even him.
And time and time again, when we hold on, when we endure, the SON Comes!!
And light reigns anew,
So I tell you, to my students and teachers of a younger generation,
Fear not, for the storm is upon us, and we are a misjudged and misunderstood species,
But in the end, if we look with waiting, for the sun on the other side of the whirlwind,
If we continue to look toward that SON!!
Then we will get to the other side.
Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, time waits for no man.
And if we endure, then we will outlast the rager!!!

As i traverse, never know when my sun will retire wholly
As its gaze bump on whole, to split out my knight errant shadow,
Dusty and encrusted sole of mine, wild creatures hum their pitying elegy like a widow While colourful grasses rest on their sandy and muddy couch delightfully.

The cloud coming with veiled complexion, my sun must go into bed,
The moon surfacing, the exact time for shadowy walkers,
Might stop in your hut to taps your wood like woodpeckers,
Chide me not, don't let your eyes go red.

For, that which comes to a man goes to another man
Maybe whirl whirl like wind or yours drizzle drizzle like rain,
Which thou cannot trick upon, as thou lives among human
For, mankind race is a journey to the same terrain.

For traveller am i since birth put me on
Chide me not away, nor my time sit upon.

Before The Light

There are too many times when my eyes open and it’s still dark.

It’s useless to think that I’ll go back to sleep, and it’s no good at all to lay in bed and watch the passing parade of worries that comes marching down the Main Street of my mind. When I do that, the entertainment seems to take on its own life. The parade grows longer, more spectacular, with the noise of marching bands, my thoughts, growing louder. Clowns scurry ahead of the band leader, throwing red balls in the air. There are too many balls to count.

The best thing I can do for myself is to rise from my bed. But there are days when it seems too much to bear being home before the rest of the world rises. There’s just too much emptiness in my small house.

I leave, escaping to DD's, where I sit and sip my coffee over a newspaper. Sometimes there are others sitting waiting for the light to come, too–like the woman who gives an animated “Hello” to everyone she meets, staring too long into our eyes. She takes out her cell phone to call a friend about the rashes on her legs. Something is biting her during the night. Raj and the other DD workers snicker, and I am drawn to–but at the same time repelled by–her morbid troubles.

Sometimes, in the winter, it seems as if the time I spend in the dark before the light comes is endless. I don’t think it’s normal for darkness to last so long; it’s probably one of the punishments for eating the apple in Eden.

I much prefer the early light of June and July, when the morning allows the gentle unfolding of life around me. Somehow, when the sun is in the sky at 6:30 a.m., a passing gasoline truck rattling my windows does not sound so lonely. Nor do I mind the sun revealing the stains from spring rains on my windows … or the birds loudly announcing their presence in the trees. Their manic chirping awakens schoolchildren eagerly counting down the days til summer.

When the darkness is especially long, and I have already sought out the comfort of others who cannot sleep, I will sometimes return home and do what I am so reluctant to do — sit still. I take up my position in a special chair near a window that looks out onto the street. I close my eyes and listen to the heated rhythms that only my body can make. My breath … my ins and outs.

But I wonder; why is it so hard to be still? Especially in the dark before the light.

In my grave

A weak shout louder than a gun shot
Out of a mouth full of depressed misery and dead emotions
A walk to infinity
A search for the light in a place so bright, yet so dark
Between sun light and dawn
Where birds sing for roses

Away in distance
Where destiny lead my way

It's going to be okay
Last words my ears choose to hear
To relieve the pain in my heart
Darkness filled my eyes
Don't try to make it shine
I smell the end
I feel the tears of grief drowning me alive

I lay down in my coffin
Under the soil
In the freezing ground
Isolated from all around
No need to make a sound
Or wear the mask that hides what's beneath

Surrounded with woods
beneath the ground just as I was
Tossed as a stone
Like a leaf fallen from an autumn tree into a lake so deep
With my skinless skull and wrist bones where cuts of regret cant be seen

I lay In my cave
In my only home
With my only friend
My rival my enemy
I can't let go...

Thoughts rushing into my mind
Bursting in and out
Words I never thought I'd speak
Words my tongue never dares to say I know how it feels
Now after I'm gone

My lips are fading
My soul is drowning
My body is decaying

I reach the limit
Where heart beats doesn't matter
Where I can't breathe the air
Where my only road is to hell
I'll bathe in fire from this day and forever

Never made you proud
Forgive me and make it better

Two roses laid on my grave
Endless time passes as the sun goes by
Nothing stirs
Pure melody in silence
A selfish wind blows taking with it one
and there goes one in vain dropping it to far away
I gaze through emptiness
Waiting for my eternal time to end
For my angel to appear
And save my weeping spirit from my sins
Which have become my reality...

when night comes

when the night comes and the moon
calls me i have to go
i battle the skeletons that have ahold
of me and wont let go
crying and begging them to let me
have life they refuse the night is
you have to go prowling the streets
like the lines in the road
looking for a lover who has no soul
some one to feed me clouds from
the sky
some one to play the drums to the
tune in my head i want to go to mars
and you sir
can take me

darkness arrives

but now the night and moon light
has a hold on me
this life that i live by myself with no
one else to tell

whispers scared of the opinions
scared of jugdements

one last time

The Golden Girl

The Golden Girl as named by Vienna (thanks girl) Appointments here appointments there Rushing round yet getting nowhere. I would love the time to stop and stare At the golden daffodils waving in the air Strong and tall, basking in the sun Nothing to worry about, having daffodil fun. I am going to take the time to see, The beauty that’s surrounding me. The golden trumpets of daffs in the sun I am going to learn the names of some. My little car was a Burnt Gold Daf My first car Limerick raised a laugh To Vienna that named me the Golden Girl I am going to stand and let my trumpet twirl I thank you for the name suggested, I thought about it and inwardly digested. The Golden Girl I am going to be From now on that Golden Girl is me. Follow the sun and enjoy life while I can Stop and stare at every gorgeous man Look but don’t touch while I can. The golden sun sets every day None know how much time we have to play. So take the time to stand and stare At gorgeous things everywhere Every day try to fulfil a dream You never know when you may roll in the stream
This is inspired from my limerick " My First Car" if you did not read it you will not understand the last line here.

As the golden rays of sunlight creep into my bedroom window,
I hold my tears back, yearning for just a few more hours to hold you.
Time has grown to be my nemesis, my curse,
For I realize that when the sun ascends into the heavens, I descend into the pits of hell.
As I give in to your embrace and caress your tender caramel skin,
I dream of time coming to a standstill, where eternity is our safe haven.
For now though I must press my lips against yours and say my farewells,
Slowly walking away, gazing back as you depart, I begin to call out to you.
Don’t abandon me, let us travel the world, and discover things
We never dreamed of, and grow old together.
However you can’t hear me say these absurd things, and I begin to asphyxiate,
I lust for the sensation of your touch, and I yearn for the echo of your voice.
Patience, I tell myself, in due time we will be as we should,
And when that time comes we shall watch the sun rise every morning and I will breathe

October's Crown

The growing dusk draws this fall day to term.
October crowned in warmth and brilliant light.
The sun across it arc shines to confirm,
that these fall days be passionate and bright.

Heroic are the colors autumn wears.
Yet, soon its rich-hued robe will fade away,
to know the sting of winter's icy airs.
We wish our coldest season would delay.

The gleanings of these golden days are rich.
We hold such gifts within our hearts, sublime.
Nostalgia is the providence from which,
we warm our souls the span of winter-time.

Hold fast, through dormant season, sharp and cold.
Soon, warmth will grace spring's light to be extolled.

The Ballad of Intimate Darkness

Through light of day and darkness of my heartbeat
My love for you, you shall see
Twelve Angel's smiles beyond this artists' cold feet
Whose legs once belonged to me
The sun and moon can marry not another
More perfect than you to me
And the evening can not break the time we share
My love for you, you shall see
A soft man you gave kisses to walked half the Earth
With legs that belonged to me
Whose only pure thought was that of a dove
To love and set you free

Now this is the time that your eyes may have read
My love for you, you shall see
If I am the shadow that can not move on
With legs that belong to me
The ink I have written will become the blood
And sin will haunt over me
Because of my veins, myself I have opened
My love for you , you shall see

The eyes of men, with envy and magic
Tempted your true love from me
And not to be jealous I smile as the victim
My love for you, you shall see
With feet that the demons or Angel's may swear
Are legs that belong to me

Yet her necklace massages her as if I
Were holding her closer to me
My body more dust than can be
Often my reflection she sees in the mirror
My love for her, she will see
And memories may move her hand to caress
Legs that once belonged to me

For the moon and the sun will eclipse out of love
As the legs that once belonged to me
Through heaven and hell I shall still feel her moisture
On the legs that once belonged to me
From the turning of wind on the teardrops of kin
And the burning with-in of my shadows and sin
Away, free as a bird she shall be
My fond love for her, she shall see

Milk Spill

Under inexorable gravity’s pull,
galaxies often move toward one another.
Closer and closer they come to each other,
till astronomic smashups happen in full.

For no less than two of them, possibly three,
such a scenario has been predicted,
as computer simulations depicted
through the Hubble images researchers see.

Milky Way will have a new identity.
It’s destined to get a major makeover.
Andromeda’s bound for a broad takeover.
Milkomeda’s what they’ll call this entity.

In that head-on cosmic collision in view—
a colossal stellar encounter full-blown—
it is indeed likely our Sun will be thrown
from its present locale to a region new.

The galaxies into each other will plow,
but our planetary realms won’t be destroyed
nor be propelled into an outer space void,
though stars will not have the same orbits as now.

They’ll go round a novel galactic center.
The fate for our own solar system in store
is perhaps to be tossed far off from the core
of the reshaped ellipse that it will enter.

Of course, by the time the collision takes place,
the surface of Earth, without intervention,
will be much too hot for water retention,
because of the Sun’s super-luminous face.

This means no terrestrial life could subsist
or think that the heavens are seemingly strange.
Thus no one we know of would notice the change,
and our worldly woes will have ceased to exist…

For a while, the night sky will be all ablaze
with new star formations in radiant rays,
but at last in the merger’s more final phase
it will look like spilled milk in a bright white haze.

Still there’s no need to fret or to get upset.
This melding won’t start till four billion years hence.
And that’s way away in the far future tense…
So it’s no use crying over spilt milk yet!

The elephant is in the room,
In fact the entire house,
But nobody really addresses its presence,
Or the damage it represents.

It’s not clearly seen,
Like a ghost wondering about,
The feelings may be present,
But nobody seems to drag it out.

When will this elephant leave,
Or is it permanently there to stay,
Like a bad nightmare,
That never goes away.

Is it even possible,
To send the elephant on it’s way,
To make room in this home,
For another person to stay.

Or will this always be,
The elephant's circus tent,
Where its memory lives alone,
With no room for another to roam.

There should be such joy in this home,
Yet sadness seems to lurks about,
Creating this dark cloud,
That prevents the sun from fully coming out.

How does one permanently banish the elephant,
So it’s negative presence does not return,
To allow the space for love to grow,
And the sun to fully glow.

The elephant must be hunted down,
One must stand up to it and show strength,
That the elephant might know its time is done,
And turn tail and run.

So now it’s time to face that elephant,
And all that it entails,
To send it on it’s way,
So that the sun will shine brighter,
Each and every day.

***** Volcanos Beauty

Inside the Volcano there are hidden cracks,
where no one can see or knows anything about.
They're the cracks where all the ' Garbage ' is .
The garbage grows, grows, expands, and expands
through all the days and the passing seasons.

Everyone is a wear of it's outstanding Beauty
when the Sun shines down on it's high peaks,
than the through the cloud cover it is breath taking.
It is noticed until it starts to grumble, groans and
let's a bit of steam off now and than.

Everyone than looks at it so differently and wonders
why it is groaning, growling, letting off the steam.
Do they not know it is about ready to ' Explode'?
It has been stuffed with so much ' garbage' through
the years that no one ever knew or saw it's now full.

One quiet Beautiful Sun Shinning Morning it happened
not one person below was prepared they were going on
about their busy lives not realizing that the ' Beautiful
Volcano ' had reached it's limit the cracks were over
flowing from the garbage of all the years passed.

The eruption came so Violently, quickly it caught everyone
by surprise they stood stunned, shocked, and afraid.
How could something that has been so beautiful become
so Ugly people all ran in fear of it this once Quiet Beautiful
Volcano that had been the talk of the town is now Ugly.

The folk below so confused, angry, mad, that the beautiful
one could take no more and had been stuffed and stuffed
with their years of crap that the ' cracks ' inside could
hold no more inside that it finally had to 'ERUPT".
Everyone became angry, and mad asking how cold this be.

When the Volcano was quiet, still, beautiful everyone Loved it
But when it became Ugly and Erupted than not one person liked
it anymore because of the Damage it caused and they held her
the Blame for all that had happened how could something so quiet
still and Beautiful cause such havoc on the land and fold below.

They view the volcano so differently now they never look it's way.
Once so Beautiful on the outside stuffed full inside with their garbage
and they stay Angry for ever blaming her for the destruction left
behind, broken pieces of lives never to be the same again time passes
and soon it's all forgotten they once again look at the Beautiful Volcano.

Until the day comes again down the road when it reaches it's breaking
point and ERUPTS for the final time than there is nothing left alive.

Shadow of a butterfly reaching through the light shining
Through transparent window panes.
The shadow of me hiding in the shade casted
By the wall beneath the sill.

Sunlight of this evening lighting up my bedroom,
Helping me to see my surrounding.
Sunlight of this day, for me, it was brightly burning,
All while bicycling home.

Shadow of a bird symbolizing flying and basking
In the sun, which soothes my pains.
The shadow of me concealing itself and fasted
Inside my head as I sit still.

Rays of a sunset touching the glass, illuminating
The colours and the wall.
Rays of a sunrise waiting for night to pass, wishing
To shine so I may finally roam.

Shadow of a cage: this window the only thing
Keeping me as solitary as I can be.
The shadow of me welling up deep within,
Descending into sorrow.

Light of the sun embracing countries, forever travelling.
Sunrise awaiting my horizon.
Light of the sun reminding me how
There will be a day of my dream coming true.

Shadow of the blue twilight gently glowing
Throughout this room where I am free.
The shadow of me restlessly reflecting
Upon thoughts of the days beyond tomorrow.

Sunshine everyday warmly reassuring
That it will always shine on through.
Sunshine everyday piercing
The gray clouds of any day.

Shadow of thoughts filling
My mind with a saddening realization.
The shadow of me is suddenly being embraced,
My Sun ensuring in time I will attain all I’ve dreamed.

Please don't
They are angry
At us for deceiving
We're left in this cold alley
Thrown like dog's
Im waiting for the right time
But my pulse is not going so fast as when they were here
Because of a religion im a target
Because i want to be myself
They want me
And my beloved
Please tell me your ok
Tell me is over now
All she asked me
My self with frozen tears falling down
A little bit longer and we are gonna be in heaven
She said i am lying
I said
Sometimes truth is hidden between lies
She want's me to hold her tight
But we must play dead until every one else die
I asked her back
Do you remember?

When We met each other
Playing dead with the dogs
She said back
I do
And look at us now
Playing dead again with death by the side
I told her there how much i loved her
She stood quiet
After long seconds she said with her trembling voice
Me too
Snow is cold
Heart is not strong
I told her to focus
It was gonna be over soon
Then she said repeated i love you
Then i stood quiet
I was gonna say love you too
When a soldier jumped at us and started shooting at the dead bodies
I looked at her pretty eyes
Her frozen lips i say the move and i spelled "I Love You"
Right there bullets got her
Her blood was every were
The soldier wasted all his bullets
Then he left
My cried there
But the cold didn't my tears fall

Two nights later
The invasion was over
I was able to stop playing dead
I ran to her body
And hug it tight
Saying sorry and repeating i love you hundreds of times
For that time the sun shined bright on that solo tunnel
I looked at the sun with fear
And asked why did she left...
She promise me before they came here she wasn't gonna die
Not with my son inside
Then tears broke from my eyes like a river
Two lives in one
How can that embrace my life
Then i stood up and walked away
Leaving behind
The note i never lend to her...

My love, much time have passed since last time, i am most certain i haven't called either
send a picture of me, but everything is fine, hope you are too, by the way i wanted to
remind you how much and how strong i love you, i promise one thing, I will not die, you
will see me one more time, a time that will cut forever, hope the sun is burning bright
there, i heard snow is bad, i will come back home in 6 days, ti'll then put your love on
the pocket, i'll be back home darling...

Much Love, your Husband Wes Ortiz

In the midst of conclusion,
this breathtaking, last sight.
Fitting the peace of final sigh,
the picture perfect landscape
spread out beneath a sky clear as Heaven’s light.

The vastness of nature’s reach and the danger of death
combined in dance creates an epic last note
in which one edge of balance will topple onto the other.

In a flash, my past performs a scene
to the rhythm of panic
as I’m held on edge by the arms of a murderous heart,
refusing to let me fall to forgotten love,
telling me to hold on…
Beyond the threshold of the rugged horizon
Heaven's gates beckon.

Should I let go?
To die inside myself or to live in slavery?

I look up to the now brilliant, crystalline sunset.
Time is running out for choice
as bloodied hands lose their foothold.
I look back to see the shadows multiplying,
encompassing the hope of life.

As night chokes the permeating beams,
I shut my eyes
and give up the fight that was never mine…

Doesn't love know that i'm dying inside

Much time has passed since I last inked a page,
unlinked the chain caging my blemished heart
bleeding sorrow art upon this stage of limbo still
I clutch the air to feel, yet I feel ill of love
as she eludes the days beyond my tears that fall.
Behind this door disguised not one person knows
the decay that flows through my withering soul
as a broken hull would tardily sink a vast ship
waters of solitary time drain my veins of love,
her pain raw…
with each rise of sun she conquers me more.
This deafening voice has silenced me with doubt
as violent bouts of crazed loneliness creep,
plundering into my life it seeps through my lips
and spits out swallowed words of stars and moons
beyond the cloud and the sun that swoon the day
I lay alone...
my heart shivering between lungs that breathe life
like a cold knife pressed against my shriveling skin.
Doesn't love know that I am dying inside,
that I hide defeat with fake acts that keep me away
from pity and pray in a faith I practice none
yet I am the one brought down to my knees
curled as a fetus praying through tears
that wash my face with bitter taste…
I’m dying for love to find my soul,
find that place where two become whole.

Little Brown Feet

On quiet days in mid autumn
When sun and clouds play ‘peek-a-boo’
Somber thoughts linger in crisp air
Of some other time and place where
Harmattan winds in December create
A hazy fog of dust and sand
Draping the sun from dawn to dusk

I hear sounds of children’s laughter
Singing ‘Ring around the Roses’
Playing ‘Na fo’ and ‘jumping rope’
No one took note the birds were silent
No one had seen them fly away
No one recognized the warning
Soon horror and mayhem would ensue

Little brown feet tender, yet fast
Pound the earth skipping, jumping
Lean and strong; weaving in and out
Through serpentine reeds of brown and green
Dust clouds rise, burst with each tap
Happy voices chanting a local jingle
‘Who bucks it takes it... free rope”

On quiet days in mid autumn
When leaves of Oaks and Elms
Brown, red, yellow, gold and rust
Carpet concrete sidewalks
Rustle loudly beneath my feet
I still hear eerie sounds of wailing
Of children’s terrifying screams

In some other time and place where
Harmattan winds creep south
Like an iniquitous invading force
Bringing in chill and fog of powdery sand
Then sudden sounds of terror assault the ears
Trembling in shock powerless to move
Little brown feet melt with nowhere to run

They huddle behind walls of mud bricks
Others dash towards the woods
Leaving broken flip flops and tennis shoes
Scattered on fields of dust
Through thickets, shrubs and razor grass
Little brown feet bare running scared
Now bruised and bleeding unaware

Hades’ orchestra plays its symphony
Emitting a cacophony of sounds
Mortars falling! Red-tail rockets sailing!
RPGs rip and the AKs unrelenting rat-ta-ta-ta….
While Harmattan winds like a steam engine blows
Long hard fierce and cold
Little brown feet will skip no more

Mankinds "Friendship"

The dagger of mankind enters my chest

I feel the burn as the flesh is torn open

My insides churn and reveal themselves

As if I am giving birth and mankind is the father

The holy ghost will laugh as this is happening

The spirit of evil embraces tears of his own

These tears are true tears only he feels my pain

He feels the same pain I feel, as he was cast away

Mankind and the ever loving Lord of Light turned their back on him

Evil was shunned and left to die, just as I was

The great villian of time, Mr.Einstein was shunned

This rage fueled him to disrupt the time continuim

As he did to "Old Science", I do to mankind

All I did was speak the truth

The one crying for me now is my only true friend

We have gone to war together without knowing it

Columbus was alone when he wanted to disrupt philosphy

He was alone when he fell off this flat earth

Disrupting the peonic views of "mankind" and paving ways for today

Just as the sun rotated around these same idiots that judge me

Mankind is not ready for the truth that I speak

Only few have heard my words and sought after the truth

Now the sun no longer rotates around the bigotry of man

It rotates around me.......

So enter that dagger into my chest

And thrust it as hard as you can

Join hands with one another to make sure you drive it in

For this is only time that you come together to accomplish

As I await my only tearing friend to take me away from you

My tears I shed are for him....but they are of joy and need

I need his friendship, for it is truth, unlike mankinds........

Good morning old man

As the morning sneaks up,
we will all arise.
And what shall we see,
at first light by day?
Look around and all will be known,
the birds are chirping,
and the sun is shown.
Wake up sleepy head,
open those tired eyes.
A new day has come to greet you,
and teach you something new.
See the clouds that are passing by,
and trees that are waving to say hi.
The grass and the dew,are together as one,
until the morning light of the sun.
Squirrels come out to play hide and seek,
as deer wander to drink from the creek.
The mountains are mystified,
and all that's around.
Creatures of the night,
will not be found.
Feathered friends and fish to swim,
bugs fly by,and songs to be sung.
It's time for spring to be sprung.
All is trying to be green,
and all is calm in the wakening.
An old man sit's on his creaky old porch,
a cigar he smokes, the sun may scorch.
A hat he wears on his pale old head,
a cane by his side,it's the color red.
In coveralls he does wear,
a handkerchief in pocket,
and coffee in hand.
He breathes the air so clean and fresh,
as he let's out a yawn,and then a stretch.
A red bone hound joins his side,
this his friend and his pride.
The sun is warm upon his brow,
he get's up to feed the cow,
the chickens and goats you see.
It's time to work and then to rest.
now the day is falling,
and the moon slowly rises.
Sounds of crickets chirping away,
owls hoot and coyotes prey.
Shadows falling upon the land,
trees covering soil,animals and land.
Water trickling on the rooftop,
we need you rain please don't stop.
See you soon tomorrow my friend,
this is goodnight, and not the end.
Tomorrow will bring a new day in store,
and the day after, and many more.
Sweet dreams sleepy head,
go and rest you old man.
I'll see you and greet you again,
to say once more, good morning old man.

Internal Sky

As the clouds appeared,
they seemed to turn colors.
Beautiful colors that were violet,
pink, blue, and some with a yellow
sensation that filled the air with
a sweet, sweet smell of summer,
Along with the colored clouds,
There was a breeze that the sun blew,
it seemed that the sun was concentrating
on cooling me off.
The trees did not stir one leaf.
The sun was concentrating on me!
It made me proud, proud to know
someone recognized the pain in me.
The clouds moved on slowly, leaving
a trail of colors in the sky.
My attention rose to the sun, it
had moved as though it had been
shot across the sky by a gun, then
slowly, slowly to its death it dropped.
The stars appeared like diamonds,
the moon a sapphire – they are the
love of the night. I soon went
into the deep sleep of eternity.

The Moon and The Sun

A new dawn has break
The moon waits for the sunrise
before taking leave

Up above the sky
She beams, her face still glowing
after her vigil

Soon she will retire
when sun takes over her place
to give the world light

The moon and the sun
just like the night and the day
takes turn in cycle

As the earth moves on
in its rotation in life
orbiting in space

In measured distance
calculatedly running
in their own courses

How graceful they move
never in haste nor languid
always synchronized

Time keeps up with them
she moves in fluidity
as she marches on

pull though

we live in an angelic world made by numbers
all that i know that its made by nature
stones fall and trees grow
day by day we all grow together
all along we live in a beautiful world
we all rejoice together and bound together like leafs on a tree
just like how they fall and die
we can all do it some how we all have
some one to lean on
close our eyes and get lost in motion transition between man and nature
we can all pull though
sea is spinning around the world
the rain comes and goes
every time you see the snow comes a white light in our eyes
we all grow with cakes and candles
the old faces fade and so do the new
but we all live in a beautiful world
the sun rises every morning
for some others have there backs turn
but wats ever happed to our souls its happened to someone else
so dont look back and grow old
burn your anger not your soul
just think that your still have this beautiful world
were the sun will always smile in the morning at you
every time i look around i see beautiful
long green grass
gliding objects all over my head
and me and you together
i know we can all live together as the light touches our hands we think of future plans
so make me unstopperble

Only Love Can Break Your Heart

Yes, only love can break your heart,
Take your world and tear it apart.
Best to be sure right from the start,
The sun shines as clouds do part.

I try to remember but then I forget,
So many dreams turn into regret.
I reach for something but I’m not there yet,
So much in life seems to ride on a bet.

The sun awakes and shines in my eyes,
With nowhere to hide I lose my disguise.
Love is not something that money can buy,
I watch to see another day pass by.

As time passes I just drift away,
I seem to get lost in things that you say.
I wish for change, perhaps it may,
I was hoping this time some could stay.
It starts to get hot as thoughts melt together,
I get lost in a dream filled with white heather.
They say there might be a change in the weather,
Still I drift away and float much like a feather.

I can’t forget how it was in the start,
Nothing could ever tear us apart.
Sometimes it was like some kind of fine art.
Only to realize that love can break your heart.

Everything in life is in a constant state of change A mountain may appear fixed for it is unlikely to change noticeably in our lifetime Yet from the perspective of infinite time that mountain is just as transient as the morning mist Even as one looks at the mountain it is changing The sun, wind, rain, snow and other forces of Nature are continually changing that mountain It may take millions perhaps billions of years for a noticeable change but Nature has infinite time for the change

peace sun

I woke up this morning and said a prayer for you,
the sun shines through my blinds and it's a shame i can't be there with you
your heart beat creates earthquakes,
your tears bring the rain,
and for the second time it has flooded here again
I'm sorry if i disappointed you,
I'm sorry if i ever lied,
because what i'd do to go back would mean
i could reverse the time that you died.
sick to my stomach i can't bear the thought,
but when the sun shone through this morning
it brought a peaceful thought back to my heart
through out each day i kneel down and pray
and know you're living in the sky
I try making wishes from stars flying by
but the sight must be quicker then the blink of my eye
i'll never know why,
til it's my time to go,
I look around this city realizing all friends are faded foes
I can't hold on, i hold it within,
it is my faith in peace that keeps me from disintegrating within.

Feelings SMP

An unidentified tomb stone so is your mystery

Downpour after the drought so refreshing is your confidence in our love

Nourishment after the famine your trust sustains me

Lay me down in your certainty & bed me with the tenderness of your heart

Shower me with your generosity & pamper me with your care

Dry my hair with your patience & perfume me with your sensitivity

Stay true to your promises you will

Intense as the sun are your desires and motives

Dreams as free as the flight of birds

Tropical origin you must be from your very soul leaks warmth

Convincing, inviting you open the door to possibilities

Charm you possess far surpass the rest of your species

Intriguing your customs and your way of life

Zest for passion you possess

Eager to live life, eager to learn you generate enthusiastic excitement

Free from limitations yet perhaps bounded by the heart you reach out for love

Longing to be understood wanting to be seen & heard you express this through

Take time my love stop & notice life be stress free as you ought to be

Privileged you are for from bondage you do not long to be released

Make time my love the sun sets oh too quickly

Stop and smell the grass make time for love make time for you make time for me

Dark Days

The morning fog settles low to the ground.
The clouds above are black and grey.
Thunder roars a mighty sound.
As I awake, no sun today.
The forecast tells of dark days.
Lightning strikes electrify.
Slicing through the great black sky.
Clouds continue to roll in,
keeping speed with the wind.
As I awake, no sun today.
Rain slaps hard at my windowpane.
The forecast tells of dark days.
Thunder shakes the walls in my room.
It rains and rains until the rise of the moon.
The wind begins to whistle a tune.
Forecast calls for dark days.
I hope its not a hurricane.
Wind spins the weathervane.
Trees fall across the lane.
I hope its not a hurricane.

The heavens declare

The heavens declare God’s glory

As the body without the spirit is dead
So too the moon is dead
It has no light of its own
Without the light of the sun
She cannot shine and give light
In the darkness

So too as the sun rises
In newness each day
So too shall the moon
Rise in newness of light
Reflecting the Glory

Like a whirling dancer
The heavens swirl
And sway dressed
In her skirt of stars
To the lyrical rhythm
The musical beat
Of The word of life

On the High Peak

Oh how beautiful the sun that was rising,
The sun I had spent my life despising.
It marked a time of torture, a time of grief,
The dead, knotted trees above me had not one leaf.

I wished for my life to end, for my sorrow was not known,
Tears would not come, the pain went down to the bone.
Comfort was all I wanted, my heart was so sore,
My one true love was no more.

My eyes darkened and my soul gave a mighty shriek,
For I had pushed the knife inside me on that high peak.
I opened my eyes, life was still mine,
My mistake was realized, in God I do trust for he lived in the beginning of time.

May Gloom

Today is May 9th, and the gloom is here!
Usually this time of year on the coast it is not clear.
Today though the sun is shining through,
Maybe a sign from the Lord, winking His eyes for
me and you.

On the coast here in Santa Barbara, we go through
this every year.
It’s gray, gloomy, most of the time and the sun
usually hides and it’s not very clear.

But this morning, I was pleasantly surprised.
The Lord has let the sun shine through the clouds,
He’s allowed it to shine through His eyes.

A lot of times, we let life’s problems allow this gloom.
But through faith, we can avoid the approaching doom.
Belief in our Father is a pre-requisite, just pray in humbly
adoration and remember it’s His spirit.

It’s in all of us, if we search and look.
Having problems? Read with faith and study His holy book.
Gloom is a reality; it is with every one of us.
When we pray to our Father be happy, reverent and trust
in His son Jesus.

Looking at the sun as it sets
It’s light suffusing the clouds
The day has come to an end
The setting sun; setting space for the moon
The night is about to take control of the rest of the time
Darkness is approaching; the shinny light fading for the night
The beginning is coming to an end; bringing everything to conclusion.

The sun is yet to set
The moon has already made an appearance
Is this a dethronement of supremacy? We all wonder
What is the rush all about?
We sure need a light but nobody asked for a fight
Things are getting worse than expected with worst coming unexpectedly
Who could imagine the sun setting at a time we need its shine?

Born new, now young; getting old
Passing every stage of life as the future unfolds
There is time for everything; time to die will sure come
Nobody is sure of that tale anymore as our young folks are now gone
Leaving the old to mourn their young ones; thought it’s the other way round
Thought there was procedures; but the processes didn’t wait
All is sinking to oblivion; how can the sun set in the morning?

We'll make love like it's our last

Her touch has rendered me weak.
I've lost the strength to speak
And to fight the feeling.
I lost control.
My nails swept her cheek
While she stayed there, kneeling.
Her smile started to hum
While my heart began to drum
To the beat of her swaying.
At last I'm whole.
We couldn't keep from
Each other, now we're laying
And watching the sun lose size
Hand in hand with closed eyes.
The sun remains yonder.
Our bodies' heat
Continues to rise
As we let our hands wander.
Necking in the flowers,
Minutes feel like hours
But time's still flying too fast.
We're both complete.
This night is ours.
And we'll make love like it's our last.

My pink sunset

                MY PINK SUNSET

When the sun is setting and night time begins to fall.
The sky turns to a very mellow pink color.
Thats the time for me to close my eyes and dream.
Looks as if the sun sitting on the tip of a mountain
or melting over the deep blue sea.My dream of a
soothing soul under a pink sunset and a field of
pussy willows and clovers.

The Sands Of Time

Grains of sand trickling down the narrow crystal neck of the hourglass Each grain a measure of that mysterious entity called Time The grains above hold the future The grains below store the past The moving grains capture the present At the hour's sunrise your flow begins At the hour's sunset it ends - The Sands Of Time

Another day

Another day, the sun rises
Life lived in bland monotony
I find at best I am complacent
existing on the borderline of contentment
It's rarely found to be of favor
but everyday you'll find me here
Waiting patiently for another chance
to leave my mark on so dull a world
Maybe today will be the day
that this bleak existence I suffer
Finally gives way to a new spark
and I find excitement has been born
I wish only to have a moment
A brief passing of time
Let me live my fifteen minutes
dancing quietly in the spotlight
Another day, the sun sets
I look out my window
With a sigh I find my bed
Another day passed,
Another day wasted.

FREE CEE i dare thee to read words that might blind thee

There was a time of kicked-back comfort and laid-back ease
Times when both butterflies and buttercups were ever blessed by a breeze
Days when wings were anointed and petals pointed to the sky
Times with the assurance that neither butterflies nor buttercups ever die

It was a time which convinced me that kids such as I could actually fly
Back when all I needed was a set of swings to get me high
But swing sets of steel rust and corrupted metal caustically corrodes
And even innocent and tiny tadpoles turn into poisonous toads

Then came a time when swings didn’t get me quite high enough
So I turned to substances that warned me yet I called their bluff
It was a time akin to aching actualities and wretched realities
When beautiful butterflies and buttercups sustained scathing casualties

It was a time when jumping rope brought hope and childhood’s pure delight
And I never sweated no matter how heated the sun became nor how very bright
I needed not to find shade that made me subservient to laughter’s lovely sound
Laughing was my only prerequisite need when the fact of a fantasy was finally found

Suddenly a sacramental sun became a consistently malicious moon
Malevolent nights and evenings that got even with me arrived too soon
A breeze became a winter’s wind that made ease Mother Nature’s greatest lie
When I discovered that children grow old and buttercups and butterflies do eventually die

I am thankful for the time I was allowed to spend with you.
and knowing the happiest time in my life lasted one week true.

To kiss your tender lips and hold your healing hands
was something very special experienced by a simple man.

To see the mark upon your face like no other woman would dare
gave me a sense of truth in a time when I was lost in despair.

Yes I made mistakes but I can not refuse my love
because I know deep down in my soul youre all I'm thinking of

My vanilla bean my lion queen youre still my number one
and if your love was meant to hurt me I'd do it over just for fun

48 hours on the phone a record in my book
We talked about everything from religion to what we cooked

We told each other I love yous and we said sweet dreams
We snored until the sun came up or until the morning sun gleamed

We read books to each other for hours on the phone
and we played online games when we were bored at home

I am so greatful to have met someone just like you
but I admit that I was the biggest mistake that you could ever do;)

for someone who will always remain in my heart thank you for the time shared:)

The Moon And The Sun

Breathing goes heavy, heart beating so fast.
Jumped over the levy, I looked into the past.
The lights flicker,a thunderous boom.
The sky lights up, it fills the room.
Blue moon, Blue moon.
High up in the sky.
As it falls down, the Sun Will Ar rise.
Taking turns, taking turns, like a playground slide.
As the sun goes down, all hope abides.
Grief of the strong, grief of the meek.
As grief takes over, all grow weak.
Sing songs that the sirens sung, when all is over, it’s just begun.
The sun’s back up and over again, leaving the dark with nothing to fend.
Later on the moonlight Ar rise again.
All sun light dies.
Illuminating the stars, the world, the sky.
The sun comes back up!
May all darkness abide.

Calling me home

The bells call to me from
My home in Tuscany

I will walk again across the bridge
and over the hill to a hundred smaller hills

Vineyards abound grapes ripe and falling
to the ground

The mornings are cool and the clouds lay
low on the top of the hills. They cover
all the Vines with heavenly droplets

When the sun rises all you can see for miles
are deep purple clusters shimmering as
if they were the pot of gold at rainbows end

The rich earth under foot comes alive with
the essence of spiced Carmenere, mushrooms
with a light scent of Ginger

The soil is so soft and inviting like a beautiful
women it beckons you to walk with her

As your walking you notice the many colors
of orange and golden hues that decorate the

The old houses are much in the same with the
exception of the doors. You may see burgundy
to bright red, green and even purple to catch
your eye and fill your heart with remembrance

Bread, fresh bread you might smell wafting across
you along with the aroma of freshly ground coffee
so rich you can taste it when you inhale

There is a special time of the season when the
Sun flowers are in bloom. They can be seen as
far as your eyes may travel and are breathtaking
from any view

We are definitely visitors in this most beautiful
city in all the world. I can only stay a short while
because the enchantment of it touches my soul

This is a magical place and I feel that if I visit
for to long it will disappear and be gone to me

As A young women I found myself there
It is the only place in all the world that I feel
welcomed and truly loved

It doesn't judge, it takes you in and you become
a part of all of it. Some time very soon I will return
once more

I want to feel the Sun and see the cloud
shadows fall over the hills in the late afternoon
I want to try to find myself again and perhaps
I will finish what life started for me so very
long ago

The bells call to me from
My home in Tuscany...

Granted and Given

It is all in the Stars if you look hard enough.
There is always the morning Star twinkling.
And then there is the evening Star blinking.
And then there are layered clouds in a fluff.
Then there is the Sun and Moon and stuff.
Sometimes it looks like the Moons winking.
Sometimes it looks like the Sun is thinking.
Makes me wonder if their day can be rough!
What a wondrous world I live in.
What balance I live by every day.
My life must be granted and given.
So no wonder I take time to pray.
It is granted and given each day just to be me.
Just look up once a day and this you can see.

A picnic on the moon

A Picnic on the Moon

If the sun doesn’t come up tomorrow and our time on earth is through
I can say I loved an angel and that angel you know was you
A cherubim without wings with a radiance all your own
I now know you are a blessing and I have reaped what I have sewn

Walking together hand in hand through the heavens up so high
Sharing a few smiles as we dance across the sky
Chasing away the clouds as we hurdle the mountain tops
Riding on the winds of time and hoping the ride never stops

Reaching up towards the heavens as I grab a star passing by
And have a picnic on the moon with a sparkle in my eye
Time will have no meaning as we sit there on the sand
As we gaze down on the earth while we hold each others hand

Waiting on a comet that will show us the way to heaven above
Spreading some joyful cheer in a mansion built on love
I was lucky to find an angel one that didn’t have wings
She made the colors of the rainbow and the other angels sing

So if the sun doesn’t come up tomorrow and my time on earth is done
I found an un-winged angel that I knew was the very one
That would hold my hand forever as we danced across the sky
Knowing we would share our lives forever in the heavens up so high

How do these vessels of time -
My days -
Get filled?

Through a restless and a wonder,
By and in and out of mind,
An yet, more than these:
Through surrender to the turning
Of the summer sun
Across the summer sky,
Gravity to hold me here,
And waiting for Messiah.

its never the same

She laughed; he cried, she is happy, his unhappy. She is loved and known by every one; his hated and has no personality. She smiles every time she thinks of her perfect life. He cries every time he thinks of his sad and sorrowful life. She can see her future bright as the sun and wide as heaven. He can see his future sinking in the middle of nowhere. She swims in the river of love and eats in the valley of happiness. He sleeps in the valley of sorrows and wakes up in the arms of sadness. She has great ambitions. He has no clue; life seems not to make any sense to him. Her self-confidence can never be underestimated as widely written all over her. He raises up with the sun light and sets as the dawn break. he is sad as he indicates but still has faith.

Finding Innocence in the Laughter That Escapes Pillowcases.

Behind the sun, with a little bit of assuredness, I saw the shades of his smile
swing toward the moon...
and I cursed six p.m. In a voice that hid the memories of
when I wore my shoes underneath the shadows of stars and in the feel of his lips
when sixteen is innocent despite the cold exposure
of skin.

I wonder if he knows I whisper to him in his sleep, my promises slipping underneath the
blanket he holds tight around him,
and feathers escape pillowcases when I laugh,
they tickle toes and dissolve the taste of fear
as my tongue finds the outline of his lips after the sun falls down and his
is apparent.

I tidy myself up on Mondays, and wreck the idea of perfection with my curls...
I wear jeans that smudge mountains across back pockets and imagine how the hem of my
burgandy dress would fall across chilled creek splashed rocks,
I wonder if I'd be able to stay pretty when my hands fall into mud and the wind attacks my
but he smiles, you see, when the sun falls...
he smiles when I change my clothes...
and he kisses me when my curls detest reality and Monday smirks at the idea of cleanliness
as my imagination drowns hems and rips fabric.

So I kick off my shoes with the idea that my toes can taste Tuesday and my feet can squash
the memories of
and revel in innocence as I discover
the cold exposure
of skin.

Such A Strange World

Such A Strange World

Such a strange world we live in
Cold air blowing while the warm sun shines
Snowflakes drifting softly to the ground
Shining like chips of the purest diamond they cover the ground
The sky turns into the deepest of baby blues as the sun rises
Making the soft white clouds brighter as they float by
White disappears turning grey in the face of winter’s fury
The winds blow as the light of the sun dies behind the clouds
The soft snowflakes turn to razors as they are whipped by the wind
All of the beauty of the earlier world is gone and forgotten
Snow dunes and ice mounds bury life as they move across the land
Shovels come out under the dim light of amber streetlights
Paths shoveled and reshoveled time after time throughout the night
The morning comes with its own shade of amber
The clouds are gone and the paths are clear
The streets have their own beauty and purity
The sun shines on the fresh snow, untouched by man
Showing that beauty can create chaos
Teaching that chaos can create beauty
A world of contradictions
Such a strange world we live in

Then Came the Storm

The last time I saw you I think you knew,
The lines on my face track all I’ve been through.
Your smile seems eternal, it touches my heart,
Holding me together when the world falls apart.

I remember a kinder and gentler time,
Time marches on as the clock unwinds.
I return to a time in the not distant past,
I draw my next breath, hoping it won’t be my last.

I try to have faith and simply believe,
No more tricks are left up my sleeve.
It feels much like a disappearing act,
You have come this far there’s no turning back.

The sun comes up I must be on my way,
Hoping tomorrow shall be better than today.
Clouds moves in and it appears it may rain,
Forgetting all sorrow, erasing all pain.
Suddenly I hear the thunder crack,
I grab some new cards off of the stack.
I put down the ones I can’t use anymore,
I brace myself for the storm in store.

The clouds get dark it looks like night,
Except for the lightning sparking quite bright.
The wind starts to howl sweeping me away,
I come apart as the seams start to fray.

The sunshine burns through the cover of clouds,
A rainbow appears with the hope it allows.
I drift to the calmness after the storm,
The sun shine through, the air it warms.

The last time I saw you the answer was clear,
Someone should grab the wheel to steer.
I don’t know how I got here but this is true,
Life’s not the same since I lost you.

The Queen

All the night she hear her parents fight,
-and come the morn the storm has yet to die.
Tears upon a cheek,
is how no child should be.
It's so hard sometimes,
watching it unwind.
-But when the sun has set,
and it's time for bed, she goes to sleep,
and in her dreams,
she becomes a Queen.
Oh, yes, she becomes a Queen.
It'll be ok, trust me,
one day she'll be free,
'cause I believe, she will see,
that she is a Queen.
Someday, she will be The Queen.

All the day she slave until she weak,
-juggling responsibilities.
Emptiness inside,
is no kind of life.
It's so hard sometimes,
to take things in stride.
-But when the sun has set,
and it's time for bed, she goes to sleep,
and in her dreams,
she becomes a Queen.
Oh, yes, she becomes a Queen.
It'll be ok, trust me,
one day she'll be free,
'cause I believe, she will see,
that she is a Queen.
One day, she will be The Queen.

All the afternoon you woo my eye,
-everyday I watch you pass me by.
Things inside my soul,
you may never know.
It's so hard sometimes,
finding the right lines.
-But before this song ends,
one thing must be said, listen to me,
you're what I need,
would you be my Queen?
Oh, yes, would you be my Queen?
I would bow down on one knee,
for your majesty,
'cause I believe, to be complete,
you must be The Queen.
Just say, you will be my Queen.

I'll say it one more time,
before I say goodbye.
You can do anything,
be anyone you like.
-Just believe,
in yourself, you'll see,
you can be a Queen.

I believe...
You will be The Queen.

Soft Glowing Embers

The birds are rejoicing this morning...Each species is trying to out sing the other..The
sunrise calls me to enjoy its glow of kaleidoscope of color dancing off the whispy
charcoal clouds..The quiet__freedom from manmade sound is just temporary for cars and
trucks constantly interrupt the peace but the birds don't slow down one bit...They are just
praising God for the glorious day that he has honored them to live.. The mist or fog in the
first valley is not as dense this morning as if it is has dried out somewhat but rain is
suppose to come back in so we will be having more fog and mist..Thanks God for the
moisture and the cool of the day for the heat of summer will be here and along with it
uncomfortable weather...The color of the sky has changed again ..It seems that the sun
is trying to warm the sand colored clouds with a soft glowing fire that is just barely
burning.. The embers are soft red hot on the horizon. . The roosters are trying their best
to bring the sun on up....The other birds have quieted somewhat..It seems that they have
had their time of worship and have gathered food to carry home to the young...Now the
embers on the horizon have renewed and a bright glow comes form the sun fire that
warms the earth....Thank you Lord for the time on the porch to renew and refresh my inner

In the Shade

The sun is warm and golden,
Beaming down on hill and glade;
But I’m shivering inside because
I’m sitting in the shade.

Every sunny bench is taken
So I’m perched within the gray.
I’m a prisoner of shadows,
Though I’m free to walk away.

Still, the sun slides through the heavens
And the shadows stretch and move.
I’ll remain where I’m reposing,
Like I’ve got something to prove.

In an hour, give or take,
I think my bench will catch some rays;
But until that time arrives
I’m in a goosebump-making phase.

It’s a fool who waits for something
That is not in her control,
For the wiser person knows
Anticipation takes its toll.

Mother Star

I am aimed and directed for a shooting star.
In the midst of a collision I am traveling far.
Nothing can stop me for I am on a lifelong mission.
I’m timing the clocks and gaining some recognition.
I am in and out of reality stumbling onto a delusion.
Sometimes I want to run free and go into seclusion.
The wind tries to hinder me so I shew it to go away.
I stand on the Moon and make the Sun arise a new day.
I am looking down at a world that is misunderstood.
If I could have I would have and then again I should.
But that is neither here nor there so I will fair.
I have accumulated a bit and have much to share.
However, there is a cornerstone one can get stuck.
One must find the mother Star and hope for lady luck.
Once you find it you will be well on your way,
You’ll rise with the Sun and be brighter each day.

Today, I Guess

Today, I Guess

I stood in the shower, ‘til the water turned cold,
felt like a tough day was about to unfold.
On the edge of the bed, I sighed and got dressed,
I’m gonna’ really miss someone today, I guess.
The pot of coffee I made was a little too strong,
I lost count of the scoops, and perked it too long.
Like a wet, heavy blanket, you can’t throw aside,
the last page of our fairy-tale, storybook lied.
The bill must’ve arrived for past sins I must pay,
I guess I just really miss someone today.

Picked up the newspaper, again and again,
I’m seeing the words but I don’t comprehend.
All my thoughts and my focus, just seem to digress,
I just really miss someone today, I guess.
The sun may be shining, but my skies are grey,
I want the hot sun to burn these dark clouds away.
Like eyes on a painting, I’m staring so far away,
I guess I just really miss someone today.

The unscathed proclaim, that time heals all wounds,
still I’m haunted by flashes from a warm afternoon.
Perhaps more time is needed, but nevertheless,
I just really miss someone today, I guess.
Feels like my ship's docked in Melancholy Bay,
I guess I just really miss someone today.

My spirits always pick up upon her arrival,
her loving smile is essential, to my soul’s survival.
Before falling asleep I whisper, “Darling, I had a bad day”,
she says, “I know you did honey, I had one yesterday”.
We get up every morning with great loss to address,
that’s what happens when you really miss someone, I guess.
The sun may be shining, but my skies are grey,
I guess I just really miss someone today.

Through the mind's eye

I close my eyes and I hear a sound,
Running water, joyful and unbound.
Leaping and roaring, swirling and swishing,
Loud slaps of waves crashing.
But the chaos yet fuels peace within me,
As I close my eyes and let my mind see.
Past the horizon, beyond the mundane,
My mind wanders off as I hear the sound of the rain.
Pitter patter of raindrops on the window sill,
Exuding calm as I stand still.
The raindrops purge the earth and all within,
Washing away my wrongs and my sins.
And I envision dew drops, sparkling and profound,
As they fall from blades of grass, purifying the ground.
And I find that sheer joy I can’t deny
Myself to feel through my mind’s eye.
And I can hear the wind howling through the trees,
Taking with it the seeds and the leaves,
It ruffles the feathers of the birds flying high,
The feel of freedom none other can satisfy.
A dazzle of colour, gray, green and blue,
Circling and singing a melodious hue.
And such are the birds that sail the air free,
That in my mind’s eye I vividly see…
And far off, I hear the fain song of a bird,
Ecstatic that the sun is now peeping at the world.
The first rays pierce through the darkness to reach the earth,
Lighting up a vibrant world, increasing its worth.
I can hear the pigeons cooing and the monkeys chattering,
Each one expectant and eager for a new beginning.
And a benevolent sun does smile down upon us,
Through my mind’s eye I can see him relish the early morning rush.
And through my mind’s eye, I witness time pass by,
As the sun hides his head under the blanket of his great bed.
And like the mice who play while the cat is away,
The moon peeps over the dark forlorn cloud
And invites a din magnificent and loud,
Of hidden creatures, loyal to the dark,
But beautiful and graceful like the singing lark.
With their voice like melody, they dance and fly,
This is what I see through my mind’s eye.
Animals of prey gear up for the hunt,
They move about stealthily, nighttime has begun.
An eerie silence reigns all around,
Such peace is very difficult to be found.
And again time flies as if on wings,
And the sun rises once more to brighten up things.
It seta again making way for the night,
My mind’s eye has shown me the most wonderful sight.

Life's Seasons

Swirling leaves, the earth grows still awaiting its time of sleep. The skies turn grey. The time grows short. The birds take to the sky on retreat.
The snow falls from the heavens above. The wind becomes blustery and cold. The sun shines on the blankets of snow reflecting hues to gold.
The rain comes down and torrents. Little petals of green appear. The earth bursts forth in color
a time that spring is near.
The sun shines gloriously above the earth. The grass is full and green. The fields are full of flowers as far as the eye can see.
Each season is a creation of a part of a continuous link. A time of birth and renewal, a time of reprieve and sleep.
God has given us this earth as a special gift. It is a promise from him above. That our lives should never become mundane and in God we should trust and love.
Make each day that you live a memorable one. Leave your signature behind. Reach out and touch the heart of a loved one. Visit a friend in need. Take the time.
For when you enter in to the heavenly gates and your time on earth is done. When your seasons have now passed away God will say enter my little one.
For when your life is over what will you have left behind? The memories of your patience and love passed on eternally throughout all mankind.

Blue Moon tonight which is very rare
It happens on New Years Eve once in nineteen years
Will you be watching to see if it peeks through
In New York City, Albany, or Calimazu

Maybe in Ormand Beach, Florida
Utah, Alaska a state so fair
How about in the United Kingdom
Africa, Asia, Malayia, or Bonnie Scotland where

It may shine on ice and snow
Or rain reflecting streets
Somewhere on the desert plain
Where the sidewinders sleep

Will the clouds part for just
A short time for you and me
So we can see this phenominum
That will be such a treat

I will be watching and hope
For just a peek, if only for a moment..
That would be so neat
My day will be filled with excitement

As I watch and wait
This could be the night
That I might stay up late
Sit out on the porch in the cold

Hoping to share with you
A night of anticipation
Of a moon that is blue
Will it cast a shadow

On my gray gray hair
Or hide all the wrinkles
That shows my character
So that youth is reflected

On this night so fair
On this night so rare
On this night to share
On this night be there

(Some explanation of Blue Moon. (1) Earth close to sun-so earth gets more sun and moon
will be brighter. (2) Moon will be closer to earth so seems larger. (3) Full moon rises to a
point nearly opposite the sun and because sun is low this time of year the full moon will rise
particularly high. Blue moon is not blue in color but two full moons in one month because we
do not use lunar calendar but one devised by man. Last blue moon on New Years Eve was
l990 and next will be 2028 or every 19 years.) (There are several explanations how the term
came into being but I will let you look it up.)

The Message

It was a message

touchingly saying

the life is but a passage,

.but where are you ??continued search for any clue,

a crying soul begging to know and heart to rule

on the edge of
that mountain where he sat..watching the sun ,

watching the rise till the set ,,recalling past ,

living the now ,loving then ,trying to keep little of it..,

the same she does..with no regret ......

on that mountain where is the days are very few ,

trying to grasp little of life and love true while

the days continue flit

.but who is she ?!she is apiece of the large universe having

so much of his grit.

trying to be in his place, watching with him how the sun plays ,

and it's beauty stealing the days..,

To her he said ..bask with me in the life ,in the sun ,

as not every day we will stay and being touched by sunny ray,

In that place seeing him watching the sky and it's blue..

If this is the case and what is said is very true then hand in hand ,

and face to face ..the fate they draw ,

If this is the case then every day the love grow .as what you plant you always
get why to rue?....

It was her tool ,it was a feeling
a touching call from your soul... bask with me ,let us glow ..and there
I sat ..watching the sun
and more of you ..becoming more and very sure that the seed is very
true ..and the worries were never due ,

                      it was a message

it was a feeling ..continued singing only you ......

IT IS A GOOD DAY MY FRIEND

No more regrets for time gone by,
You do what you can,
And then with a sigh,
You let it go.
What might have been
Could I begin again,
Should have
Would have
Could have
Is not a good place to dwell,
A cold dark miserable prison cell.
If only I'd done this
Instead of that,
Will drag you into the fires of hell.

All around miracles abound
In a universe without end.
The rain comes down,
The sun comes out,
It is a good day my friend.

No more fear for time to come,
From what tomorrow holds
I simply cannot run.
It's truly so.
No sense to fret
Over what's not yet.
Should be
Could be
Would be
How can I embrace today
Worrying about what's on its way?
What if this
Or what if that
Turn's life's colors into a dull gray.

All around miracles abound
In a universe without end.
The rain comes down,
The sun comes out,
It is a good day my friend.

cantor of chaos

night cantors into the mind,
a sable tail paints blackness to the eye
sky nymphs straddle the moon... singing

spider sprints across the faceless dream
soul woven in silky-slick yesterday
bike bells,pigtails, sweet lemonade

bitter scythe swings a rancid promonade
put a chew toy upon the train tracks
for certain the puppy found its way

youth violently tossed aside ,
diamonds turned into clay
where's the sun when life marches cold
sun tender heart slung to icy bays

but the sun will softly turn the blinds,
put rainbows into burned out eyes,
all things will scar with a stitch of time
{like bent berries on winters tangled vine}.

green shoots will bouton sky into songs
place gentle moss over jagged rocks
turn the day back into diamonds..
age back into daydreaming brooks

Thankful When

Thankful When

When sunlight gleams upon mornings frost
When you can see the guiding light all is not lost
When the days grow short, autumn walks the land
When you in need be thankful for a helping hand
When winter wind are blowing wild and free
When nature plays a springtime symphony
When white capped waves are riding high
When the sun touches the ocean from the sky
When all the autumn foliage is aglow
When we see the crystal sparkles in the snow
When the time is yours just for the taking
When the golden morning sun is awakening
When the people wave, smiling and greet
When you are passing them on the street
When the tides of life run against you
When you try but there is nothing you can do
When there is a chance to repent all our sinning
When He is giving us a brand new beginning
When Christ ascended and rose in glory
When all hope centered on the Easter story
When forever you truly want me to stay
When we have more time for fun and play

The Sins I Commited When I Loved Him Too Much.

I knew the rules, the engagement of us, he had a wound on his chin, he told me it was ages

he told me about her, he never spoke her name softly enough.

I sat on floors as I looked out windows, I stared for the time it took him to pull his
jeans up, I heard his fingers fumble at the button, his callouses rubbing against metal
and the quick goodbye of a zipper, and I knew it was summer, but the sun seemed to mock
me, the sun rose two hands too far for me to feel her.

“One day, one day, you'll love only me,” I whispered to myself, loud enough to break the
silence but quiet enough so he wouldn't know he had hurt me, though my tone wasn't
convincing and I could never stop the tears.

I pressed my back against pillows and sunk quietly into where he lay his head as I closed
my eyes, I made myself familiar with the fabric of blankets, the soft pattern of quilts
and discovered a new way to hide, and I hid from him so he would stay...

I would have done anything if he would just stay.

He reached over to kiss me, to touch my cheek and run his hand over the freckles no one
ever saw, he smiled for a second, for the moment it took for me to curl up into him, my
lashes tickled his arm, my tears traced over his tattoo and I found it hard to let go.

I composed myself, I looked into his eyes, I thought about how sad it was that I begged
for him even when he was right there, I stopped for a second when he opened his mouth, I
followed the trails of his breath as if they were swimming through my air, and he told me
that I was the only one who ever made him happy...

I shook my head, I blinked and found love to be ironic because the feel of him was killing
me, I kissed him, lips meeting and sins committed, and for the time it took him to walk
out my door, I turned my head and stared out my summer promising window...

just to watch him leave.

Sun, Moon and I

When you walk
along with the trend of the sun
and go with the moonlight
life’s circle of the past
will become a moment of today
until today is renewed as tomorrow.

The circle of life
though no one is able to escape from it,
occasionally, hesitates steps
if I should go forward or backward
stop at the roadside and think
if there is any way to escape from the circle;
the sunset glows under my feet exceptionally red this evening.

Sunlight Slipping through the Cracks

That small keyhole of morning sifts through the nighttime sky,
casts an orange shadow upon drawn curtains,
hear the birds chirping and hear the grasshopper’s cry,
the moon is dipping and the sun feels shy.

Alarm clocks have not yet sounded,
eyes are still heavy with sleep,
new corners of the bed have yet been founded,
hours left to snooze remain uncounted.

Orange dissolves into a subtle gold,
fresh grass blades shining with dew,
the sun once again feels bold,
squirrels peek out of their wooded folds.

The Forgetful Fisherman

The forgetful fisherman was as wise as he was forgetful.
Some even said that he used to be a Zen Master,
but that was along time ago and he had forgotten about that.
Early one morning a little boy approached the fisherman asking him for advice.
"Sir, my father would like me to help on the boat, but I am fearful of the ocean."
"Every time I get near it, I am desperately afraid. What should I do?"
The fisherman sat contemplating the boy's problem.
Finally he spoke, 'My child, You have to learn to control your FEAR."
"No, that's not it!!!" He said interrupting himself.
There was a long period of silence,
and the boy was unsure if the fisherman had fallen asleep.
Finally, he opened his eyes and spoke, "You have to learn to eliminate your FEAR,"
But quickly corrected himself again by yelling, "STRIKE THAT!!!"
This time there was an even longer silence
and the boy sat and watched
as the sun changed horizons
The boy thought the fisherman had forgotten about his problem
and was about to get up and leave when the fisherman spoke again,
"You have to learn to destroy your FEAR."
But was quick to point out, "Oh, Lord no that's not it!!!"
"Neither do you need to learn to bury it," he added quickly
and then was silent for a long time.
The boy sat with the fisherman until the evening started to creep up on them,
The sun was about to kiss the ocean, giving the sky a tangerine haze.
The boy really needed to go Now!
As he got up the forgetful fisherman told him "STOP!"
"FEAR is a sickness that crawls inside of you and dies," said the fisherman.
"The SICKNESS grows," he continued.
"It penetrates,
your every being,
                  leaving you,
in a constant state of FEAR.
Making you its servant,
You need to learn to release your FEAR."
'Is that it?" the boy asked getting up to leave.
Let me think about it for a little while," the forgetful fisherman replied.

Golden afternoon

The pretty glow of the golden sun as it sets

is a sight to behold on this afternoon;

the sweet warmth of this sight

can be felt only once in the day...

Bright gold and orange pellets

of dust float in the soft sunlight

tracing invisible words

of what you want to say...

Like this is a wonderful time

filled with a magic of its own

Just like every time

the sun makes its way through fields & lawns....

Forever Moon

If the sun never rose again,
Would it always be night?
Or would it merely be day,
Without the light?

If the moon never left the sky,
Would time really go by?
Or would the World stay still,
As we moved around,
Or when our feet hit the ground.

What would it look like
If there were no stars overhead,
Would it ever look the same again?
Or would it just look plain,
If the sun never rose again.

My moon light

It's time I put you in your rightful grave.
Time to put the dirt over your night lit face.
It's time to face the sun light, leaving the beautiful safe memories.
It's time I find my sun and leave my dark cool moon.

I Finally Understand Why You Can't Go Home Again

The sun never shines here in south town
It’s only covered up
by a dust of regrets and letdowns
that i can never come clean of

the shadows dance in the alleyways
the darkness plays in the sun
the children all searching to find a way
for these shades of gray to be fun

we've been living on the wrong side of town
for way, way to long
we are lost when we wake up
still lost when we lay down
and i think it's time we find our way out

lately I’ve begun to notice
things haven’t changed at all
they are all the same
as they were when I was small

maybe my eyes have changed
maybe my life is stained
maybe I can’t understand
why the colors drain and the sun dims

maybe we've been living on the wrong side of town
for way, way to long
we are lost when we wake up
still lost when we lay down
and i think it's time we find our way out

As the Sun Goes Down

As the sun goes down
We whisper softly to each other
At the time of twilight
Is when we find it the hardest
In a meadow at the top of a hill
We hold together, hand in hand
We’ll paint the sublime picture
The one of life together
Together forever inside our never, never
We’ll always be there together

I’ll await you for your arrival
As of now, I know it’s near
We’ll seek each other
For without we’ll be de-feathered
While I wait alone, at the steps of were we first met
Here and now, I look for your bliss
At the time of sunset as the shadows dance
They show me worlds for me to glance
I see a world of twilight and frown
While I wait here, as the sun goes down

As the sun goes down
I sit alone in my room and write,
To you letters and poems of my disgrace
I tell you all my secrets so that they’ll die with you today
Please keep them as I rise alone
To face each day outside your heart
While I stare from the outside
Knowing I’ll never be part of the inside
So I fall down and go on in a happy frown
For each night I wait, as the sun goes down

July 14th, 2012
By: Sami LaRose

I'm high and dry and dying is a trend these days
In the dark days of November is
where I'm most okay
Lost in the cold without a soul, when it is okay to be alone
It's in the summer where things get funnier
I start to run away
I hide in corners and lurk in the shadows until the sun goes away
And night time is the right time to go out and get away
It's nice in the dark, the sun is too hot for someone who's always in a haze

Eat Spit Be Happy

Remember those days?
 As a little girl,
sitting on the stoop outside the rundown project building
popping salty sunflower seeds into the corner of your mouth.
A whole handful at that!

I remember,
crushing each seed
one by one right down the center of the shell,
sucking each side of it until it no longer had any flavor
 maintaining the seed
on the opposite cheek
as if it were the grand prize.

Once the shell was crushed,
 I'd spit it out
let the shells build up
on the step in front of me
 creating the ultimate shell empire.

I remember those days where I used to
Eat Spit Be Happy.

The Man Who Tried

A man leaps from a tower’s edge
And plummets to the street;
His eyes are closed as he descends;
It’s such a daring feat!

He’s been in training all his life
For such a time as this;
He couldn’t even start to think
That maybe he might miss.

“I’ve worked too hard to give up now;
It’s either fly or die.
If I don’t make it here and now,
At least I made a try.”

He sees the sun begin to break
Into its morning light,
Exploding all throughout the sky
To dissipate the night.

“It’s such a pretty sight to see,
And maybe it’s a sign;
‘Cause if the sun is coming out,
Then maybe I can shine.”

He then begins to clench his fists,
And pull his arms inside;
And then he starts to invocate
And all his fears subside.

“So, this is it; the time has come,”
He mumbles in his breath;
“If I don’t make it here and now,
Then I’ll encounter death.”

He feels his back begin to tear
And rip along the spine;
It sparks a pain that no one else
On Earth could e’er define.

His fists are tightened harder now
As he begins to scream;
But as the blood is dripping down,
He forms a set of wings.

The wingspan reaches far enough
To stop him in the air;
The pristine feathers radiate
An incandescent flare.

A smile begins to formulate
As he begins to fly;
And all it took was willingness
To just give it a try.

Three Stages of the Sun

It was a time in my life
                          I choose to call ----
                            ---The Eclipse ---
For the Sun would not shine
               Upon me
All the love
         Everything good
             In my life
  Had been taken from me
My Heart felt
          Hollow & Dark
             As a chill
        Over took my Soul
And I found myself alone
In a world full of strangers
                As Ice encased my heart
             And flowed through my veins
I longed for the beauty
                   And the warmth
                       Of the Sun
             But walked in the Shadows
Then came the time of my life
                I choose to call ----
                --- The Melting ---
And I stepped out of the Shadows
                     I embraced the light
                            Of the Sun
I could feel it
Melt the Ice around my Heart
              And in my veins
As the fingers of its warmth
             My empty soul
And just as the Sun
   Life in the spring
             My heart was reborn
            Which brings us to now
The time in my life ---
               That I choose to call
                 --- The Rising ---
For each day
With the Rising of the Sun
                I let the warmth
                  And the light
Replenish my soul---
       With love

a Lady 'Loves' her Mister

Because of it 'we' laughed as grass is green there is she common.
Realized; how it is I became, such implied in her, with favor.
And being left off distant of, but near to her, I thus became.
Whose teeth white flashed, the sun as she was now to show them.
I was drawn inside by sweet minty breath, she 'made', as was it
I inhaled with each profound look, I rediscovered.
Lost then finally found within, dark caves of sound, so deep
and smooth, so rich and throaty, singing music all the time.
Never ravaged but by scotch and time and filtered cigarettes.
Though detached always above, I look again below it, such is an
undulation a visitation, invisible muscles, the sea is moving.
A young woman; on the beach 'she' hurries past us saying,
drawing briefly aside a red and white, pair of cheap sun glasses.
Made they 'said' in 'china' hot a sweating mask, I look beyond it.
Bronzed this body made, I think of posies, confusing she with her.
“If your woman and the Mister' (wish to take it to the ocean,
does the lady and the Mister) 'wish to wash it, lightly off'
One day, 'one time each grain of sand and foam, 'she did - politely ask? '
I decided that if it comes when 'I'and if 'I' must,
that this next verbal jolt, 'when it hit' could fly a kite without a tail,
certain repercussions of those acute remarks, open cuts bleeding
might as hearts are won and then as thoughts be lost.
She with her and I, this afternoon could still may be, the sun so hot.
I concentrated on both, by my seat a well of deep emotions.
With a careful, deeper why, I trust my mind, too find it wonders.
Kept thus safe in time, inside I've grown to know and ponder why.
Wistful he for she/her much and subtle this my love, could be her double.
Once was I, of kind like mind, a person drifts at times so far away,
when life like that just walks away or simply floats right past us.
Then washed amongst the rocks and foam the wind it blows away.

sun will you rise

Oh sun will you rise
and dry these tears from my eyes
I hope the sun shines brightly on the path that brings you back to me
A time when all i knew was we
quiet now the ocean's still
broken is my heart's will
A time when I knew so much
How I long for your fleading touch

day dreaming memories is all i have left
From the love that i once kept
I once held you and touched your face
now i feel its all was a waste
For my name you no longer call
Keep building this wall
that helps you forget the memory of me
until you no longer remember we
oh sun will you rise
and dry these tears form my eyes
I hope the sun shines brightly on the path that brings you back to me
A time when all i knew was we

I will never leave my memories forlorn

Times have passed, times have passed, far spent, far gone,
I sit on this step as I recollect all the times passed.
Memories are vast. Happy times of past unfurl in my
mind, sad times of past unfurl while my head down,
angry times unfurl in red flames of aggressive words,
loving times of past unfurl in the freshest part of my
heart. Lessons of past illuminating the path to walk,
shaping my words to talk. Hidden knowledge covered
by night shadows, now revealed by the sun of present day.

I sway my way to the futures bay with knowledge
revealed day by day. Times have past, times have past,
far spent, far gone, looking behind the road I walked
I see many steps, in many hues, many images in
many hues, all combined and fused, all albian,
one, walking ahead to the peak of the sun with
hues of my background kept alive, by rays of the present sun.

Much I have lost ,much I have won but the journey continues
my time isn't done, walking ahead with times of fun, as I dance
with the present rays of sun , towards futures rays I run.
The mile ahead unknown, the mile behind, I've past. I've passed
those times, but those times have never passed me,
walking life with a head full of memories. I walk past people
I know, they seem not to remember me,do people cherish
their memories. Cuddle with them for a while, rekindle the flames,
wrap them in a blanket of fluffy cotton, keeping them fresh and
never to rotten. The lessons I've learned, never forgotten,
The emotions I felt, will never melt, for they played a key role
of who I became.

Times have passed, times have passed, far spent, far gone,
I will never leave my memories forlorn

The Desert Edge (part two)

On comes a traveler from lands that I have not wandered only visited
Bringing with him memories of the pains I have borne through my life
Like the desert whose dunes I dared only once to climb when youth held me fast
A fleeting grasp, a tentative hold that was as it must be for us all I have come to see
In those valleys of sand where the sun drank from my body ravenously to crack my skin
I saw only once the whispering vision of life in the distance
Shimmering in the heat of the burning sands stood an oasis many miles deeper
So I set out with that vision hardly in my mind across the desert
Over mountainous dunes and into abyssal valleys with the sun raking my back
I walked and then I crawled when my feet became blistered stumps rubbed raw
I crawled until my hands and knees bled
I crawled until I held my head high no longer
Still I wandered, still I moved despite the sand choking my eyes closed
I crawled my body burned and my eyes blinded by sun and sand
Only to find my way back to this shack on the Desert’s edge
My journey had betrayed me I believed
My journey had twisted me all around I thought
Until today when came a wanderer through the desert forge
To sit down and rest with heavy sigh and cloud of slowly settling sands

On his shoulder sat a grey old owl watching me silently with eyes of tired wisdom
In his arms the man carried his second friend a satyr with ivory pipes to match his horns
I nodded in quiet solitude rocking back and forth in my old wooden chair

So it was that we listened to the gentle creaking of the wood
Listened to thunder rolling in off the great Blue Divide
Listened to wind shushing through the leaves of Heaven’s Gate
Felt the heat wafting over us from the Desert’s edge

Neither of we two speaking, only listening until at long last with the sun beginning to set
The satyr stirred just enough to lift the pipes to his lips and then to play
A hauntingly sweet song of blissful sorrow like age-old memories of lost youth
And we listened to him play his song long into the night
Until the stars failed to shine and the curtain of day touched the veil of dreams

“Time to leave, time to go, time to say farewell
For there are roads still to travel and I have yet much to see
And so long a way to go,” he said with a quiet voice of strength

If I Could Again

Remembering the sun those days
the smell of the sea
northwest breeze.
A thought flew thru me
hit me brought me back again
is that you?
I close my eyes
stumble around the rocks
a memory saved of you I find.
Then another thought flows thru me
hits me while I'm here
must be you.
Time got lost inside my mind.
But thoughts of you I always find.
Open my eyes not here I cry.
Take me to the beach where seagulls fly.
I close my eyes to dream of you.
I close my eyes to dream I'll be with you.
I close my eyes to love on you.
I close my eyes to dream to be with you.
Those summer nights with friends at parties
we were young once
flying kites.
As the sun covered me
the ocean deep blue
I remember set you free.
Now I watch those good old times
in my head
favorite movie I hit rewind.
What I remember most with you
lieing there all night
with you feeling right.
Time got lost inside my mind.
Memories of you I always find.
I close my eyes just to have that time to dream of you.
At the beach where seagulls fly.
With you if I could again I would again with you.
I close my eyes just to dream of you.
In my dream I could again with you.
Oh yes with you all over again.
Twice a million times with you.
Its you with I would again.
If I could again oh yes,
I would with you again.

Paints The Sky

She paints the sky with white and blue,
With a stroke of her hand, a paradise for two.
She paints the sky, where our love reigns true.
But now she paints the sky with shifting clouds, dark colors, shades, and hues.
What has happened here, in our paradise, just me and you?
The sun has set, in this idealistic world, now bleeding down the canvas, lost and untrue.
She has raped my sky, with lines, foreign colors, and haikus.
She riddles me lies, promising if my heart stays true,
The sun will rise again, in this monstrosity, built in the minds of we two.
Next time she strokes the brush, I expect bright colors, shades, and hues.
But this time something unexpected happens,
This time,
She paints the sky,

The Invisible Man 14

I wrote the Invisible man poems many years ago. These poems, and I have not submitted them all, was for a little girl who died in a road accident. They are a tribute to her memory. It was a dark and very sad time and I miss her so much. The Invisible Man poems are supposed to to show the the darkness of my world, the way I felt. They are very precious to me. Thank you for reading.

The invisible man goes behind the stores looking for some food, by then he has
had enough the bitterness and hate. He thinks if he has happy thoughts he will be happy.

It seems its always a warm spring day when I walk with you down my memory lane,
I remember always holding hands with you as we smile and walk down there again,
The sun is shining brightly with flowers budding along the pathways of the past,
Pointing out little birds and beautiful wild flowers are my memories that last,
No clouds dare to mar the sun's watery glow, which melts into skies of soft blue,
No shadows would dare to mask the sun when I'm walking back in time with you,
From those long ago golden times I remember only happiness and never any tears,
Those were the most beautiful days of my life, the sweetest of all my many years,
For a short while I forget my loneliness the dreadful loss the hurting and the pain,
It’s always spring and happiness when we hold hands skipping down old memory lane.

Thinking of the past makes him so very sad, sadness that comes from deep within,
A wrenching passion that makes him lower his head into his coat to hide his warm,
tears that uncontrollably drip from his gaunt cheeks and splash on his ruined shoes.

Nasty bullying men taunting him and pointing out what he already knows that he is a
cancer on society that he stinks worse than the garbage he rummages through and would
better off dead.He shuffles past these people and leans on a wall Invisible sobs loudly he can't stop.
All the pain and constant sadness is too much so he goes to a supermarket and buys some,
cheap booze to ease the pain. He queues with his bottle of cheap vodka his face still wet
with tears. Everyone moves from his queue to another one Invisible cannot get out of the
shop quick enough. He sits on a bench in the shopping center and begins to drink.
The more he drinks the quieter the taunts are. Darkness hides him in neon light his sadness
is now bearable. He sits with his bottle between his legs and just stares at the floor and
as the booze disappears so does Invisible.

When the Sun is Rising

Good Morning, the time has come,

Wake up sleepy head,

Wake up with the sun,

The sun is a rising,

The sun is awake,

The sun it is here,

The day is at stake,

Living and well,

The world carries on,

For the sun has a risen,

The night, it is gone,

The day it is sprinting,

The day is at hand,

For sun warms the cold ocean,

And crawls through the land,

Good morning my dear,

The time has for come,

To wake up the day,

And wake up the sun.

broken dreams...

I know the path that we have chose is right for both our lives, but I cant help this pain inside
that nags at me when I remember you and me. The morning dawns and I can see the pale
pink hue of the day to come. The birds they sing and call their mates another day to come
and go, the pain that rises in my heart when I remember u and me is very hard to put to
sleep. It rises with the dawning sun and I just want to turn and run, run from all my hurt
and pain, never will I see you again, to know you hold someone new, someone who, will now
become, the one who shares your hopes and dreams ,while, mine just lay all broken and
gone. Like the day that dawns and turns to black. Like the sun that burns then disappears.
I feel I know the reasons why life with you could never be, but time with you was meant to
be although its hard now to agree that you and me cant ever see the sun that rises in the
sky the moon that takes its place at dusk. I feel you know our souls connect, and in a
different time and place our lives together would combine ….

A Double Edged Sword

The sun vanished I am left with gray skies.
As minutes turn to hours I see how time flies.
A cold wind awakens, feels like it may snow.
I save what I can and let all else just go.

As snowflakes drift downward they cover the ground.
There is peace in silence seems no one is left around.
I listen quite closely for maybe there might be a sound.
The path is before me yet I don’t know where I’m bound.

I wish for the sun as I long for its light.
It is the middle of the day but it feels like night.
All that is missing is all the stars and the moon,
I shall see them in a moment night will be soon.

I see the world around me but where do I fit?
I can’t see the answer from this place that I sit.
I have to have faith and a little more hope.
I need to just focus and put life in my scope.

I start to wonder for this is what I do
I try to decipher what is false and true.
The answer lies in the pieces scattered on the floor.
Things that I needed, I shall want them some more.

With all this in my head I just have to move on.
I don’t cry for spilled milk for it’s already gone.
I look to the horizon hope the answer is there.
It seems better than when, I was stuck nowhere.

As night time comes the sky does clear.
I remember the things that I once held dear.
The train is at the station so I climb on board
I watch what I pick for it’s a double edged sword.

This is your time, Do you see that this is your time?
The rain has united with the sun and when it falls it shall bring water to the Earth.
The sun will cast colors as the rain falls.
The beauty that will be seen, will be across the sky.
Seems that the Birds would taste the sprinkles of the water,
as they pass the bright colors of the bow that is placed in the sky.
This is your time to shine.
The sky will unite with clouds, and cause an beautiful array, of whiteness, for all to see.
This is your time, to stand and be free.
The wind has united with the gentle breeze, this will cause the mixing of aroma that will ride along the gentle breeze.
The smell so free and sweet.
Twirl and swirl upon the warm breeze.
This is your time to breath. The air will be sweet, and damp.
This is your time, to dance.
The Earth will cause music to flow through the trees,
Can you hear the sound? Listen to all that is clean and new.
The uniting of nature, that is so crisp, it is safe here.
You will only be seen through the glass covered sky, Seen by his eye.
This is your time, Twirl, and dance, feel the earth between you toes. Twirl, sweetness.
Let, the woes, diminish. You are so beautiful here. So very lovely.
This is you, this is forever. You are united here, with your creator.
He can hear you without speaking. This is your time to smile.
This is your time to become who the Lord wants you to become.
Quietness, will fill your being, united. Peaceful and still. Let the wind
Blow through you. This is your time, So lovely so pure.

One Last Note

I'm left behind once again,

Just one more goodbye I have to

Endure through but I'll be fine,

I promise. I'm strong. Honestly, I

Don't completely understand why

But even before we said goodbye

I felt our love die. I never wanted

This to happen, but I can't

Bring you back and I, have to face this,

It's over; I don't apologize for it. I said what I had to

And you did what you had to.

That's the way this works. Sometimes with you

I got way too honest, way too up close

And personal with myself, ended up hating myself

For being so needy; but I don't need that,

This love wasn't all there was after all,

I'm finding myself and happiness without you

Though it's been slow coming. Once,

You let me have a glimpse of the sun instead

Of the mocking shadows, but we watched

The sun set, watched the roses wither and die;

And I don't regret a single moment...

I Will Not Wear Your Frown

Constantly in your darkness you tell me I'm the death of your happiness always one step
behind you I know that love truely can be blind. Your evil eyes down dressing me I dont
understand just why you hate me but believe me when I say. This cold place I will not stay
you can push me around but I will not wear your haunting frown you can push me from sun
up to sun down but I will not wear your frown.

I remember last September the first time you lost your temper you said pardon me I'm
never like this relax I just need some time. So I let you calm and unwind all along you were
buying time trying to find that nice you were supposedly hiding behind what a fool I was but
believe me when I say. This cold place I will not stay you can push me around from sun up
to sun down but I will not wear your frown.

So I guess I'll pack my stuff I've had enough this whole thing has been so dang ruff but
through it all I remained tuff stood my ground so shame on you I'm done with you so believe
me when I say. You can push me around from sun up to sun down but I will not wear your

I saw the Sun and the Moon take a stance in the universe.
And an unknown Star placed over them was put in charge.
The whole entire inhabitants scattered themselves at large.
And all the lands and seas became separated by a diverse.
The Sun Shined brightly in the west never to set in a curse.
The Moon gleamed fully bright to the east as the surcharge.
The door had been widely opened and many came by barge.
The stress was great because the world went into a reverse.
Fate and destiny was being dished out like a deck of cards.
Skies lit up and the Stars came back out like never before.
And the palm trees took up to the seas like standing guards.
And from this stemmed growth from that one opened door.
The Sun and Moon are exalted above and beyond you all,
And so is the Star in charge of those that flaw in its thrall.

Fragrance II - (Continued after Fragrance -I)

A raging sun raised over the sky so bright, kindled upon
The earth desired for thirst, the first ray hold upon,
By the crops reaped over the farm so baked -
Steamed by the nature so distressed,
The flared breeze glowed over the life withheld.
A muted zephyr pass by the morn, betide upon
The daylight so hoped-for, the first drop gushed upon,
By the wind so aroused over the fight against blaze -
Danced by the mizzle so greeted
The sensation of expressions for the moment winded so delighted.
Moistened by the drops fell upon so pleased, retrieve upon
The sowing over the sloughy farm, the last ray hold upon,
By the dismal days of cloudburst -
Streamed over by the ken so roaring,
The time of the year met with the season of showering.

Abased sun faded by the sky so dark, mislaid upon
The sprinkle dripped for reseeding, the first ray hold upon,
By the awning fitted for shelter over the sidewalk –
Drenched by the approach so merciful,
The mournful reek washed over the shore so disgraceful.
An abstract world by the city so ludic, played upon
The time seemed lively, the first dive swam upon,
By the pleasure of life -
Versed by the pleasance so alive,
The sweet flow of liveliness hoped to survive.
Lasted numb behind the clouds the sun once peeped by the drizzle, showed upon
The rays gently breaking up the sky by the colours differentiated, hold upon
By the welcoming of feathered white clouds –
Eased by the greenery so eying
The time of the year met with the season of fall-flowering.

(This is really a song...)

I want to see your face as the sun comes up, as the sun goes down
Each time this world spins 'round.
I want you near me as I spend my days, when I'm breathing
And breathing out again.
I want you near me everywhere I am

And all my dreams tell me, that I need you with me
I want you near me, now.
'Cause I can't think clearly with you out of my reach
I need you near me, now.

I love the way you see me inside-out, the way you take my hand
The way you make me laugh.
You hold my heart in the palm of your hand, and all this love you give
Is truly a gift
But I never knew that love could be like this.

And all my dreams tell me, that I need you with me
I want you near me, now.
'Cause I can't think clearly with you out of my reach
I need you near me, now.

The door that let you in was a flood-gate and you overwhelmed me here
"Cause I had no defense for your love's tidal wave when you overwhelmed me here
And sometimes I get lost in amazement while you overwhelm me here
'Cause I could sit for hours listening to your breath you still overwhelm me here
Yes, you overwhelm me here

So, I want to see your face as the sun comes up, as the sun goes down
Each time this world spins 'round.
I want you near me as I spend my days, when I'm breathing
And breathing out again.
I want you near me everywhere I am
I want you near me everywhere I am

Moon Mirror

The sun, going about her daily chores,
glimpses a new star in the sky,
one smaller than herself,
yet strangely familiar.

Used to catching her image first in puddles,
then growing larger in lakes,
she at first only sees a stranger,
then catches herself

spread in the moon's reflection
across thousands of miles of sky.
Hypnotized by the beauty
of this strange new view of herself,

she can't ignore it,
sneaking looks time after time;
she can't take her eyes off herself.
Daily, as the moon moves about in the sky,

the sun catches tantalizing glimpses
of herself from multiple angles.
By then, the sun imagines herself to have
the moon's full attention,

claiming it as her mirror.
Like Snow White's wicked stepmother,
the sun asks this mirror repeatedly,
methodically, almost hypnotically,

"Who is the fairest of them all?"
The moon answers all questions
bringing the sun back time and again,
puppet on a string
seeking a definitive answer.

By day, the moon untangles
its strings of moonlight,
puts out its nets.

Their dialog moves sideways;
the sun's questions, always direct,
glance off the moon;
the moon's answers slip around behind it
as the sun tries to get a better look
at what the moon might be saying.

Who was created in whose image?
Which came first,
the chicken, the egg, or the yolk,
small sun caught up in the quicksilver lies
of albumen?

City down south where fresh chill of every morning awakes to consciousness my likely to break into action bones
I have come from a place where the sun shines all year and time long for which it never tires out of giving heat; direct
and ardent, often scorching heat. Here I feel no heat from even the brightest sun for the wind blows cold that always
whiff the face as if saying "awaken the sun in your heart, your inner warmth inside which forever burns and now let it!"
So I smile and embrace the cold air in response saying "Thank you... I have let it from the time that you said Hello."
The everyday greetings of the trees never fail to please my eyes. I have never seen such lush and vibrant colors of
purple, pink, white, yellow, orange, and then from the daring dark of green to a subtle tint of yellow to gold. It all speaks
to me… depicting moods of everyday lives changing by the seasons and every moment of life. My mind raises to the
many seasons I long to see and experience and I feel very much alive.

It's being long and it's being painful
But the time I had was more or less eventful
It was frustration and hopelessness I had to fight
But finally out of that dark tunnel I could see the light
I feel that the SUN has not turned its back on me
Thus I can be the man I want to be
I can think anew and start afresh
And rather be not tangled in a horrible mesh
The flowers blooms across the green meadow,
Leaving THE WINTER as its invisible shadow
The birds sing a delightful and inspiring song
I can't remember the last time when I heard it as its being long
SPRING has finally arrived bringing the SUN that never sets
I stand at that HORIZON hoping for a A NEW BEGINING

Chemical Sun

Bad deal today, at times confusing but always harsh.
I may be lying in the mud, but I’m starring up at the stars.
Catching my flight to bliss, trying to ease the pain.
Watching from my semidetached state, the city flame into day.

Chemical sun rising over me, burning pure truth.
I think I’m falling apart again, but you always help me through.

Everyone was on me all day, now its over and I’m audi.
The flaming fury of the day, slowly going out across the city.
Mysteriously beautiful night, I just wish she could see,
through all the floating thoughts, just what’s happening to me.

Chemical sun rising over me, burning pure truth.
I think I’m falling again, and I believe its for you.

You’re so open, never fronting, always straight.
Talking inhibitions, and decisions about soul mates.
We are now, not tomorrow, these thoughts are not ours to think.
I truly know your pain, sweet Isabelle, you don’t have to speak.

Healing sun

For the first time
I allow the sun to blaze into my eyes
To heal my injured cornea
I allow the tender wind
To dry my watery eye
I await the sun to come back
From every building we passed
For the first time
I adore the shining surface
I willingly gave it a glance of beauty
It lusted upon my face giving it a blow of life
It came upon my dark life and gave it a glow
Gave it a hope, gave it the feeling of freedom
The position of power
And For the first time
Before the arrive of dusk
I adored the sun…

Yearn to the sands

By Sashi.Prabhu(Zeauoxian)

Awoke early this morn with a dizzy head,
Last nite I had a torrid time in bed.
Tossed and turned on a warm bed last nite,
Troubled were the dreams , set my head a lite.

Was thinking ahead as I stepped off my bed,
Dull was my sight as I thought I wept.
The sadness within wrinkled my brow,
The puffiness in myself and I asked myself what now?

On the wisdom’s throne I went and perched,
Gone I want the thoughts of emptiness, that lurched,
A smile I forced on my sleepy face,
I got to ready myself a put on all grace.

I came here to the lavatory to drop and stink,
But all I desire to do is sit and think.
But now all that I do is scratch my balls,
And see the soap stains on the walls.

And now it dawns to me it’s satur’s morn,
As the thought seeps in ,all pain is gone.
To the beach we are going when the sun gets high,
To the clear water, clean air and blue sky.

The salty spray I imagine now,
The force of the mist and the freshness in my body all above.
My body is jovious and filled with frolic,
The juices in my stomach churn just like a craving desired by an alcoholic.

As the sun goes up I pack my things,
The flame within is joyous and on my face it brings,
The sound of the waves and the smell of wet sand,
The call of the beach is strong even in the hinterland.

As we drive to the hotel and park the car,
I can see the birds fly by and go afar.
I check into the room
And spend time to groom.

To the restaurant we head,
Buffet served on the table of snacks, tea , coffee and lots of bread.
After the snack I have a gulp of coffee truly black,
And get myself to the sandy track…………

The birds are chirping, the sun is beaming Why is today so very frightening It is a day like any other, No reason to feel this ugly quiver Am I alone, can no one feel? This nasty pain that feels so real Am I able to carry on? Or do I wait but nothing comes. It makes no sense to trap ourselves No sense to care for someone else Love is a trap for one and all, All of our creatures great or small The sun will shine, the birds will sing Again tomorrow, or so it seems A lonely moment by a lonely soul Really makes no…no difference at all. ©Elisabeth Dubois

I walk and walk the many miles for you.
I give and give until I have nothing more.
I go on and on until I drop or fall,
But I’m searching deep because I search for it all.
Everyday I die more inside.
Eaten alive by myself inside of my core,
Because I’m left alive with life that only I can sort through!
I just want to see the Sun rising up so full and so high.
I want to see the Sun set so huge with shadowing bits that glow.
So I’ll just believe in this strength that comes through you to me.
I search for you but why should I be the one who has to be one that believes?
Everyday I’m alone and it’s nowhere that I go,
Even when it’s my thoughts that I clearly identify!
I just want to see the Moon so round and so high beaming me into the glow of light.
I want to see the Moon peering through the lighter of my brightest day.
I keep seeing all of these cushioned visions of just you and me.
Searching for you gives me the sight of all that I am to see.
Everyday I beg and beg until I hurt that you will stay.
But I’m left alone with reality in sight.
I just want so much for you and me.
I even want the same air that you breathe.
I keep holding onto this strength that I am I feel I believe.
Searching for you I’m with all that I can ever be!
Everyday I’m straightened by what my eyes can see,
But now I’m alone with what’s left alive and what didn’t flee.
So I’ll just keep searching for you while I search for what will be the all of me.

Life's Tree

I sit with leaves falling from the tree
Of lives sun rays shining on me
The way time flies with no time to see
They way they drop so carelessly

Oh life so short with no time to spare
To leave this place with nothing to share
Only one chance to sit under there
Watching them fall without a care

They float to the ground like the falling snow
With all my seeds still left to sow
There is no choice when it is time to go
As quickly as the sun will melt the snow

While under the tree make it last
The leaves fall quick
 And the wind blows fast

Blackwater Bay

I watch the sun rise

over Blackwater Bay

blood red and promising heat

I'm not surprised

that I lost my way

and spent so much time on the street

In my defense

I've got nothing to say

as I watch the sunrise

on Blackwater Bay

I've got things to do

and places to go

I'm thinking of starting today

I never knew

there's so much I don't know

I can't let me stand in my way

too much time gone

and too little ahead

I battle the passage of time

The train that I'm on

won't stop for the dead

as she makes her way on down the line

Should the good Lord allow a few more years from now

I will be able to say

I've followed my heart and I've done my part

when I come home to Blackwater Bay

I've seen the sun rise

over Blackwater Bay

and I want to see it again

If I don't try

I might as well die

Than to go back to where I have been

I watch the sun rise

over Blackwater Bay

Blood red and promising heat

Lord give me strength

and show me the way

Help me to stand on my feet

Humbly I pray

that You won't let me stray

then guide me back home

To Blackwater Bay

I walk down the street,I’ve walked down so many times before
Hey,how hav..
I ignore this person,as if she wasn’t once my best friend
Times change like the seasons,I tell myself `thats all.

I don't quite have the time I once had in the winter
Cool calm and collective, nice and easy yaa know

Sorry too disappoint you but its the Spring
And the days are beautiful,i love too watch the flowers bloom yes that it,as if I was
watching my favorite TV show in the afternoon
I love too feel the warm sun against my skin as I Sit and
Never a bland moment in the Spring, never!

Me,remember those Winter days..Vaguely,I lie
As If I didn't have the time of my life most days,
So care free and relaxing,calm..

Ice blue skies, as the sun sets
Snow so deep, you'll need too rest after just a walk too the end of the driveway..
Stay in and watch movies type deal,
Kinda day where you just,chill..

Sorry but is Spring Time now,
No time too relax,I've got work too do!
Sit and watch the flowers bloom,
As I play lookout for my crew..

When Shall The Sun Steal Back Time- Part 2

It’s always better to move on and not forget
Why forget when you’ve been around so long
The future never shapes
It’s just some hope for the waste which is the past
I live in the moment and I’ve shown it what it means to be alive
It’s a nose dive
Another struggle that carries over into longs sighs
Plan if you want but nothing is carved into stone
Would you rather be in a group or walk alone
When you’re under the weather do you cry solitarily to feel a bit better
Does each tear shed carry away some hidden fear
Do you watch in the darkness as it nears a new beginning
Crashing and cracking on impact
Although not intact it surely did grab your attention
Are you looking to turn you name into something unmentioned

Well fear is something that’s sneaking through the halls of the mind
Seeking a crack in your pride
Creaking over the loose floor boards
Rerouting some most important chords
Kicking in some haunting sealed doors
And I’m left pacing empty floors
Lacing my fingers atop my head
My body glides into rocking as if some how led
Eyes are fixed on the clocking of time
How can we give such an irrational time some reason or rhyme
Can’t help but wonder when the clock shall chime
When will the sun reclaim the clocking of time
Can we forget about the pinching of each nickel and dime
I beckon, I welcome, I think that would be fine

All my perceptions are met with deception
Drawn out with serrated lines
Unwind the razor wire
Erect the fences a bit hire
If you desire
The sun will cast my shadow
Giving some anatomy to my ghostly figure
My words give birth to flippant thoughts
I hope they don’t leave you distraught
Simply I sought to make you see happiness
Shall not be bought
This is one of my daunting tasks
And without reckoning it will be haunting me to the breaths of last

Saturday Morning Time Travel

People say there's no such thing as time travel.
But if you sit outside in the early morning sun
Versus inside in front of half-hour TV shows
The quality of time experienced is chasmic.
The house protects, shields, nourishes
In its finite space.
The World is an infinite bombardment,
Like a child gleefully displaying all his clothes
While fabricating new items on the spot, sweetly, angrily,
but in every way for you, without fee or formality.

It is the world to which we belong,
Not the house, nor the show.
The morning sun may not re-locate us (physically)
Through our own construction of time
As a properly gadgeted time traveler might,
But it slows it with mystic ease and rhythms.
Which is more than Oprah Winfrey could ever do
Stuck inside a glowing, square box.
So rejoice! Your problems are small, definite, and digitized.

As this poem is written I sit
In World's slow time
As it beckons me forward in search
Of the soul's blue and glacial bliss.
A sky wrapped around a fist.
A rising sun crackling
The mountain mist.
A time traveler awakened to
Love's first kiss.
This Saturday morning.
Outside with tea.
Just you an me.
With the television's "secrets" within.
And the World open and naked without.

Adages Pt. 1 (the cloud)

Adages Pt. 1 (the cloud)

I am just baggage to the world
Cast away and forgotten
An entire life
Waiting for something

Every so often a random passerby
We exchange formal soliloquy
Just talking to ourselves
Wondering if anyone really hears

They always keep a lock on my eyes
To desperate to admit sad truths
Pretend they’re giving me sound advice
When just quoting old adages to themselves

They say
“Follow the sun,
For in the light shining upon all
You will find the way”

The same response
Every time runs through my head
“What of the clouds
Stealing the light from my eyes
They always gather around me
Darkening my life

“And what of deep night
Where I sink into despair
Alone and sinking in a world
Where no one seems to care”

They don’t seem to hear my words
Just keep ranting their securities
All the while shaking like leaves
In the harshest of autumn winds

I wonder if anyone can hear me
Or if I even hear myself
Can anyone see me?
Hidden in this cloak of clouds

I begin to feel comfortable
As my worldly self
Begins to drift away
Comfortable with no sun
To burn my skin red
Or to guide my way

I’m locked into a perpetual night
As the oppression of my clouds
Absorbs the light
Sun and moon and stars
And I’m left with nothing
But four walls
And a roof
And a little stool to sit on

I don’t notice any more random passerby
Just as they never noticed me
Just quote my old adages
Some god created just for me

“Stay in the clouds
A safe haven from the pain
I have no need
Of ever finding the way

“The world has spoken its ignorance
And has finally cast me away
I’m tired of endless clinging
And the guilt it brings my way

“If the life in this world
Revolves around an endless rhyme
The sun and moon and stars
I have better places to spend my time

“A room of nothing
No windows or air to breathe
Just a feeling of numb contentment
As my soul starts to bleed”

My conscious mind had made its final pitch
And it is off to the races
But I’m moving so slow
So slow

Just as Time will allow seasons to pass, a pearl to last in an oysters grasp... a fetus to grow in a mothers womb, a boy to a man, the healing of wounds... sun up to sun down, Time allows... and as life goes on, reasons to look to the sky and yell I need you now! But if Time will allow this one thing...these memories of mine, to be like the first Time...I looked into the eyes of love, when Time stood still, and all I could do was feel!
Just as Time allowed this precious moment, it also allowed this moment to be frozen...
In Time...

The Vampire Among Us

A made up world of glory
Sweet lakes and emerald glens
Please let me tell a story
That happened way back when

The grass was green as green could be
The air was sweet with freedom free
Her eyes were blue as the swirling sea
That set her apart from you and me

The day was hot with summer's heat
Birds flew low over golden wheat
Along the coast; the army's fleet
Under shaded boughs two lovers meet

He stood with her until the night
He walked with her so she wouldn't fright
And even though he had no right
He soft skinned neck he wanted to bite

He walked her up to her jeweled door
With diamond windows and marble floor
A kiss to her hand, though he wanted more
From the girl in the house by the rolling shore

He counted the hours until the sun's dawn
Gazing up the emerald lawn
Of the girl with the dress that's a soft brown fawn
Three hours left, nine hours gone

The moment the sun rises over the hill
His hunger crumbles and he loses his will
Now he no longer wants to kill
And drink her blood till he had his fill

Under the boughs he waits for his love
This time dressed in a dress of gray dove
Now his hunger no longer does shove
When her hand touches his in its white lace glove

But then the sun sets
And his luck he must bet
He feels the thirst get
To be a great threat

Though they walk the long beach
In no need for speech
When the warmth's sucked like a leech
From her wrist, he then does preach

"Tis the purest thing I have ever tasted
Though it's a shame all of this has to be wasted."
Upon the sand her blood is pasted
The monster inside no longer lambasted

And though the time for monsters is gone
The truth must be unfurled
While they wait forever for the coming dawn
Vampires still stalk the world

Time For Lovers

Time is with us
As our hearts unite and our souls become one
Time is right now
As I reach for you and touch my palm against your brow
With my heart I do see all that I want us to be
And maybe love will come shining down on me

As the sun warms our eyes, and the snow cools our skin
Oh the soft gentle bend of the combined
Does blow my mind
There’s no more time
Or the sticking, tricking shadows that crawl upon our face
Erase, erase

Time is with me
As I walk with you for all eternity
Time is still to come,
As we journey far into what has just begun
With my heart I do know how much more we have to grow
And maybe our love is all we’ll have to show

As the sun warms our eyes, and the snow cools our skin
Oh the soft gentle bend of the combined
Does blow my mind
There’s no more time
Or the sticking, tricking shadows that crawl upon our face
Erase, erase

Time does not conceive what you truly mean to me
Time can not feel
The warm intoxication that you give to me
As our bodies collide with the sea
Time will not last if we run too hard or too fast
Just hold my hand and you’ll be ok, and with me time will never come our way
We will escape the time

This fair Queen
rides in soft golden light
Only at twilight,to be seen
Golden hair catches the sun
This fair queen on the run

With rippling emerald shawl,
this fair Queen rides in golden glow.
Only the faithful know it so
For, the faithful know it all

This fair Queen loves her folk,
her smile, like the sun
Intoxicating fun,
the fair Queen can invoke

This emerald green
disappears in to the night.
Not to be seen,
golden hair,
golden delight,
rides far in to twilight.

This fair Queen,
bejewelled in green
Golden hair,
the like, never seen

This ethereal Queen
in gold and green
Seen by the few
Those who believe it true

This magical time
betwixt day and night
The clock does chime
This fair queen
must ride with all her might.

To go after sundown
This fair Queen
will lose her crown,
willl never be seen

For the kingdom of twilight
the fair Queen rules all
Bejewelled in green
Golden hair ,so bright
The dying of golden sun
Her work is done

This fair Queen will disappear
at the dipping of the sun
Bejewelled in green
Only to be seen
on a snow white horse, on the run
When the clock does chime,
at twilight time

Golden whisper at dusk,
fleeting flash of emerald green
Scent of honeysuckle musk
This golden Queen
can only be seen,
by the faithful few
Who know it is true

This soft chuckle of delight,
heard only at twilight
Tis my Queen
That can only be seen
in soft golden light

That's That

The Sun is on my horizon approaching this brand new day.
Ripples in the sea shatter my shimmering ultra-violet light.
Birds sing in the air and many more are on this same flight.
Rising high, the Sun makes rounds in its sweet special way.
Puffy white clouds are on the trail until they begin to stray.
Blue skies follow suite running off the wet darkened night.
Green grassy grounds are visions of a true God given sight.
Branches of trees wave at the Sun as if bitterly bent or fray.
Rising with the Sun and busy as a bee,
Up and on it I always rise just to shine!
It is all amazing just like being me!
That’s that and poof I’m all in line!

No really, I am telling you that’s that!
Now honestly who are you looking at?

To my mother

When I was youthfull…young
I had peers that are wayward…wrong
but her wealthy words made me steady… strong
Now I’m old… not tempted by the tales of throng

My mom told me to stay and never sway
Even if I am worldly, weary … wicked way;
In the sun and rain…naughty night or darling day
She taught me to know the time to play and pray

She has taught me never to fear or frown
Even if the scorching sun makes me dry… down
In the ocean of life, I feel I am going to drown
But I come out as pure gold…the talk of the town

My mother, my tender home when I was fragile
Thy balm and boobs blessed me till I was agile
You gave everything you’ve got…going the extra mile
Now I live a life that’s worthwhile…I sail and smile

When I was youthfull…young
I had peers that are wayward…wrong
but her wealthy words made me steady… strong
Now I’m old… not tempted by the tales of throng

My mom told me to stay and never sway
Even if I am worldly, weary … wicked way;
In the sun and rain…naughty night or darling day
She taught me to know the time to play and pray

She has taught me never to fear or frown
Even if the scorching sun makes me dry… down
In the ocean of life, I feel I am going to drown

It's been a long time

The sun comes up to bring forth light
I just get stuck in the shadows of night
I think of you often it’s been a long time
Since I held you close and said you were mine.

The time rolls on as it always seems to do
I’m caught in a dream at a beach with you
I pick up a shell and starfish along the line
I miss your laugh, it’s been a long time.

A heart so big it encompasses the world
I climb into the water as the futures unfurled
A mermaid of sorts below the surface you’ll find
That you’re still in my heart, it’s been a long time.

A sea gull flies over it reminds me of you
When times were better and I knew what to do
I look up to the sky in hopes for a sign
The clouds move in it’s been a long time.

The sun drops and kisses the water it is time to go
The colors streak the sky much like an air show
I pick up the pieces and take what is mine
With a tear in my eyes, it’s been a long time.

Dark Times

When the sun sinks
Below the horizon
All life stands still

Now is the time of evil
Where no angel may tread
This is were evil lies
Safe from the sun and gods wrath
This time
I may not survive

This fair Queen
rides in soft golden light
Only at twilight,to be seen
Golden hair catches the sun
This fair queen on the run

With rippling emerald shawl,
this fair Queen rides in golden glow.
Only the faithful know it so
For, the faithful know it all

This fair Queen loves her folk,
her smile, like the sun
Intoxicating fun,
the fair Queen can invoke

This emerald green
disappears in to the night.
Not to be seen,
golden hair,
golden delight,
rides far in to twilight.

This fair Queen,
bejewelled in green
Golden hair,
the like, never seen

This ethereal Queen
in gold and green
Seen by the few
Those who believe it true

This magical time
betwixt day and night
The clock does chime
This fair queen
must ride with all her might.

To go after sundown
This fair Queen
will lose her crown,
willl never be seen

For the kingdom of twilight
the fair Queen rules all
Bejewelled in green
Golden hair ,so bright
The dying of golden sun
Her work is done

This fair Queen will disappear
at the dipping of the sun
Bejewelled in green
Only to be seen
on a snow white horse, on the run
When the clock does chime,
at twilight time

Golden whisper at dusk,
fleeting flash of emerald green
Scent of honeysuckle musk
This golden Queen
can only be seen,
by the faithful few
Who know it is true

This soft chuckle of delight,
heard only at twilight
Tis my Queen
That can only be seen
in soft golden light

I didn't know you very well April.
You were the start of spring,
The beginning of new things.
Offering a time for transition,
expressing a sweet song for broken men,
showing that what had withered away once could grow again.
April, I sit here now and think of you as me.
You are the most certain uncertainty.
Your chill passes as wind thru my cotton tee.
Your chill is me rushing thru those I've treated improperly.
Your overcast sky is heavy like my regrets.
It has encompassed my every individual action and step.
Drenching my precious days as I stood wet,
your rain fills the wrinkles of this face I cant forget.
But April, I'm moving away from the mirror, far too long consumed,
and stepping outside with you waiting for the flowers to bloom.
April, your sun is dynamic when you show it.
It is very much like mine within me and I know it.
It turns me completely inside out,
Still fierce with fire under that bed of grey doubt.
Still hot as a lover's passion when it parts the storm clouds to shine.
Yes April I am assured that your sun is much like mine.
So April I do, I see.
In your light is where I need to be.
This is where I need to focus.
Hopeful now for I know that nothing is hopeless.
It is here and now that I raise my head
from the muck and mire of years past dead.
Here and now clawing mud from the pit of my eyes to see.
April my statement is that Im going to be free.
Like your sun sometimes immaculate in the sky,
Im going to live more for me and be free or die.
I accept the responsibility of success, so I'll try.
And will rest my weary thoughts without inquiring into why?
Why? Why? Why it all came to be as it did.
I don't know but the best I can do is change how I live.
I wont be selling my cherished ideals,
Im no longer poor.
I wont be pawning off my outbursts
for a cheap pop no more.
Because I need more. More baby, more.
And I know where I need to go.
To kick-start my throbbing heart,
I'm digging back to my roots to grow.
So while your leaves stream upward
and tulips glow from their bulbs,
I'll stand outside myself again,
fully content to be exposed.
April, I can grow with you now, knowing that I know,
I left myself behind a long time ago.
But that's o.k., somehow i'm thinking WOW!
I've always dwelled somewhere other than here and now. .
I'm here now though, its crazy,
I sense that I may be fine.
For the love I lost has found me again,
revealing it's almighty face in mine.

Life is tricky as most of us have found,
it can slap you up and it can slap you
The sun always rises to meet us each day,
the sweet air is blowing and making it
our way.
The day seems long as we start the
trip, we always hope we wont fall
or slip.
The temptation of the human mind is
all around, it can bring us up and it can
bring us down.
To be "strong" they say is what we have to do,
but how can we do that, if its only just
Being alone is a punishment for me, you see,
I sit and wonder, how to set myself
I hate the night as it falls around me,
I feel captive, trapped and needing
to be set free.
Sleep can help and take me away,
to a place that i can be at peace,
and often play.
Dreams are all i have to help me now,
I think on them daily from sun up to sun
Dont take that part of me from which i
live upon, without that within me
i would surely be gone.

It's here!!

It woke me so tenderely
The sun broke through my window
So unassuming but intent on being free

From such a long winter
The rays of spring time born
Wake up the very heart and soul of me

I leap to my feet
No more dark days
The alarm is now a welcome song

I unfurl in the springs toddler feet
Its early days
But I know she can't go wrong

She is adament
In her freshness
Her willing to bring light to the day

I spring to life
Like a newborn
I love her tender way

Flowers are blooming
And the sun is beginning to shine
Everyone is smiling and feeling her awe

Spring time is winters baby
Summers warm up act
A beautiful show to adore...

how i felt before my mom got well

I have not seen my mother in a while.
I have these dreams where she comes back.
when she comes back it feels as if I'm in a fairy tale.
It's like there can be no wrong.
It's as if God made us perfect.
All I lost I found.
The sun rose over the empty sky and made where there was a forever lasting
cold night a warm bright day.
An emotional nuclear bomb wiped out all hate. Breaking down the barriers of
insecurity to bring out the harbored bitterness stored deep inside releasing all
feelings, and there was nothing but understanding and love left.
All this happened the day she came back.
Then i woke from my dream to my nightmare, and I realized what i felt was like a
fairy tale was just that a tale.
When I woke: I could find no right, but wrong was all around.
When I woke: I was no longer in Gods world of perfection, yet I found myself in
the devils world of corruption.
When I woke: There was no sun to bring day just cold darkness in the sky of the
everlasting night.
When I woke: There were many unspoken words, bottled up feelings, and
bitterness stored deep in the middle of my soul.
Even when I was awake she came back, but she didn’t stay and every time i
waited for her when she left.
When she did come back i pleaded with her to take care of my brother and sister.
I let her know we needed her guidance, wisdom, love, and compassion.
I weep every time she leaves, but it seems she shows no sympathy toward these
needs or me because she yet keeps leaving.
I get angry so angry I feel my mother is some what of a black widow, but the
sorrow she caused me and my sister and brother. I would sometimes call her
Queen of Black Widows.
She earns this title by loving and caring for you where you can’t live without her.
When I sleep i have dreams about her. Then she leaves and you can’t stop
thinking about her. It overwhelms me so much I can’t breathe without her. It feels
as if you die inside slowly leaving nothing but sorrow so all I can do is cry.
I would go on but there’s nothing else to tell , so i wait till she comes back if she
has not died i hope she took my advice and gave her life to god so she wont go
to hell.
This is how I felt before my mom got well.

Broken Hearted Night

My heart was repeatedly torn this year
And just when I though night had come forever
The sun rose
But the sun did more then bring the breath of light
It brought back memories
Memories of the serenity in his voice
And the touch of his hand upon my cheek
These memories also brought me multiple sorrowed spirits
They held me captive to the world abound me
So now I sit in theis crisp lonely morning
And watch as the flowing cascade
Of blessed beauty turns my world
From the shadowed shades of violet
That were the days we had spent together
To the deeper hole of blackness
That were the upcoming
But my hatred obscured my vision
Blinding me from the fact
That hurt and pain was in both of us
Little then did I realize
That I wasn’t alone in this forsaken world
Because people were there for me
And their support gave me the strength
To pick up the pieces of my broken tears
So it then hit me
And all the times he had told me goodbye and I cried
Those tears were worthless
So this time I ignored my emotions
Instead I looked ahead
With the hope of a better tomorrow
Because this time love was in my hands
And it wasn’t going abandon me

Treasure Hunt

You were here such a long time ago.
I knew you not nor did I have a clue.
I was just a silly giggly little fool.
Days passed by until the Sun set too low.
So I memorized the Stars at night watching them glow.
I’d swear I’d never have believed you much less knew.

Until, I went back into the past and chased the future ahead.
That’s when I saw the trails and the paths lain from before.
Some were laid in gold, others silver, even diamonds and lead.
The Sun struck down on them and they shined even more.
It was obvious by the color of branches in the trees that were dead.
I could taste the honeydew trickling down my lips feeling my heart of hearts.
I chased the birds and plucked a feather of a white dove just for you.
I ran along the Sea shores and the Oceans belched a many a roar.
Salt on my lips and free with the wind I knew I wanted more.
The Moons beams shined down on me so I followed the shore.

I found seashells and rocks of all kinds and saved them all.
I even cleaned them up and gave names to a few too small.
The Stars began twinkling brighter here and there.
I watched them naming a few and one I made mine.
Then I found the Mountains and how tough they fair.
I rock climbed the highest ones and drew myself a line.

I saw the snow fall and watched it melt.
I just can not tell you in words how that felt.
I ran through the fields and the prairies took my breath.
I was alive inside just feeling my best, there was no death.

The rains came pouring down watering the splendor grass.
Thunders and lighting's all came in a great big flash.
I’m alive inside and just feeling great.
Passing through time I can never be late.

On plated trails of past, present and future I am so alive.
It’s a treasure hunt of buried beauties buried deep inside.
And each vibrantly strives simply to thrive.
And each one seeks where you hide.

Then Night Came

The sun did rise;
Its golden pallor brightening the land,
giving heat and light to the pristine earth,
lush vegetation, rich soil, and pure sand,
our planet glowing with life at its birth,
wondrous creatures, some great and some small,
spreading across this expanse that was fair,
uncounted plant life, some short and some tall,
supplied the needs of creatures, ground, and air,
then night came.

The sun did rise; The eye that gazed saw a two-legged man,
staring grateful at this wondrous orb,
its heat and its light he did understand,
felt good on the skin, its warmth to absorb,
the tilling of crops to store for the cold,
with the sun he worked form dawn into night,
the raising of flocks to keep in the fold,
against the coming of the winter fright,
then night came.

The sun did rise;
Plumes of soot and dust rose into the air,
death's foul chemicals had no place to go,
the greedy man fought for more than his share,
to take hold of all riches was his goal,
putting his brothers neck under his heel,
to rise up to the ultimate power,
no remorse or pity did this one feel,
to sit atop that Babelic tower,
then night came.

The sun did rise;
Decay and stench rose up upon the land,
buildings and structures crumbling into heaps,
a smoldering waste the dying wind fanned,
carrion and rats were filled with their feast,
a hazy dark cloud did cover all things,
the green that was there now turned into brown,
no longer were humans able to sing,
the earth was dying, not making a sound,
then night came.

Erotic ecstasy in sensual bliss.
A thousand emotions delivered by a kiss.
You made me feel you, though my heart tried to object.
Your soul spoke to mine and you were the subject.
The core of my heart must now be replaced.
Sentenced to a life, partially erased.
But my mind still swears the knowledge
of where my heart stands.
It is in your hands.
You are the biggest wall to ever stand before me.
I cannot knock you down, for I have no more strength.
I have tried and tried again
but you have conquered my every wind.
Your cruelty ate my love.
Tell me, how did it taste?
So as I stand in your path now
look me in my face.
Fall into my eyes and drift into your weakness.
For our connection is stronger than words.
we need not figure out the rest.
We are the same as we are meant to be as one.
You believe that you will win
but the moon cannot beat the sun.
Throughout creation, time and time again.
We shall float away together, and neither shall win.
You cannot tell me that you do not care
for I know better.
You will not disappear for my soul will not be scattered.
You broke me once as you attacked by surprise.
But I am now ready, for the sun to set there must be sunrise.
So please will you finally give in too
and watch it with me?
For my sun is not the same without you.

Broken Wings

"Broken wings", with them you can't fly!
You flail about, but still, you can't ever reach the sky.

Wearily you seek for some refuge where you can go.
Moving cautiously away from others so that they would never know.

"Broken wings", with them you can't fly!
And as time goes on, your're not able to peer out even to see the sky.

Longing for a time when you could soar with each wind anew.
That was when you could glide through the sun and a sky so blue.

"Broken wings", with them you can't fly!
But hope begins with a stretch of the wings and desire to reach the sky.

Wearily you seek for some refuge where you can go.
Moving cautiously towards others so that some may know.

"Broken wings", with them you can't fly!
But healing means trusting, and knowing that you will again see the sky.

Longing for a time when you can soar each wind anew.
Taking time to mend so that you will glide through the sun and a sky so blue.

"Broken wings", with them you can't fly!
But never to stretch your wings, means never to see the sky.

Moon's Revenge

The sun is rising in the sky, such a beautiful sight,
He came with no warning and stole the day from night.
With his coming birds did sing, clouds dissapeared, and bells did ring,
The dogs did bark, people spring, what a glorious thing.
Happiness in the world today in man and beast the same,
Men and women working while their children are playing games.
Throughout this wonderful day joy turns to sorrow,
For they all know and fear what comes before tomorrow.
The vengeful moon and her creatures of the dark,
Cat eyes glow green, and bats flutter in the park.
Werewolfs and vampires, witched and wizards,
owls and snakes, coyotes and lizards.
She comes almost unnoticed, and attacks him from behind,
Knocks the sun from the sky and takes her place in time.
If tomorrow he decides he should come and rise again,
The vengeful moon shall return with her evil creatures of sin.

As I pass through Life

As I pass through

As I pass through life,
I see different colors,
different smells, different
sounds and different taste.
Nothing ever be the same,
The roads get rockier and stiffer
as I pass through each time.
The sky never stays gray all the time,
The birds don’t always sing, the grass don’t always green,
and the people don’t always stay the same.
It’s sad to see how the birds stop flying,
How things stop sparkling, and how life
don’t stay as bright as it used to. People come
and go, hence people move on everyday. The days are not
always cloudy, and the sun don’t always shine.
Everything under the sun is just vanity because as you pass
through things come and go, they never last a lifetime.
Therefore as you pass through life no matter how it is, make sure
you pass with care, and make sure you learn from everything
under the sun. Because as you pass through something change.

Our different day.

You go to bed, you lie there, you toss and turn all night,
You cannot sleep, you can't lie still, you try with all your might,
Morning calls, the sun comes up, you raise your weary head,
Now you have to face the day, and you wish you were in bed.
I went to bed, I lay there, and I tossed and turned all night,
I couldn't sleep, could not stay still, I tried with all my might,
Morning came, the sun came up, I raised my weary head,
I decided not to face the day, and I went back to bed.

My Lady's Magic

The sun rises on a beautiful day,
The fog is lifted from my eyes,
The grass has dew, the chipmunks play,
Spirits are lifted to my surprise.

The sun beats down from its high-noon perch,
I greet it instead of cower,
Beautiful is the day I meet without a frightened lurch,
There is a source for this power.

The sun touches down as it sets to the west,
I’m still outside enjoying the day,
With such beauty to see I want to take the time to invest,
I feel no despair holding me sway.

The stars come out twinkling in the night,
The time when I could hide my best,
Now is the time for my lady, who is so right,
And who has put all my fears to rest.

Life's not full of love, it's full of hate

Standing on the lowest point on the earth
With burning heart giving me sensation of hearth
On such a cold dark night
Without a vision of an angel upon my sight

I wonder by here all alone each and every day
Without my heart, my life, passing through my way
Oh my sun has left me never to rise
Leaving me helpless, my life’s a despise

But my love, you are worth all the while
The whole world stops with your single smile
I’m just a admirer nothing more than that
My life’s a cold floor now, you were my mat

By those sweetly spoken words form your lip
My heart runs, your words are always there to keep
Worse than me, my heart’s the one who’s hurt so much
I miss your smile, your voice your silent touch

Every time I dream I miss you
Feels like holding you picture and kiss you
Years have gone but you I haven’t forgotten
Guess how hard it’s to live without a sun

Ask me the pain of that, it’s been ages
That’s the only reason I’m filling blank pages
Rejoice in life is not for me
Pain in heart, happy for others to see

Like the candle burning beside me, my heart burns
Through these veins of mine, your vision runs
It’s so hard to hold the tears filled in the eyes
To search for the sun at night in the skies

To be in dark room full of fears
With songs of depression into my years
It’s so easy to be a girl, loved by all
Unlike boys, never happy in life, always to crawl

Surrounded by the world I’m just a pawn
Without you in my head form dusk to dawn
For as your love I’m out of tear I can’t cry
I’m so young now for me to die

But to die for you, you are really worth it
Still I’m alive, for us to meet
Its not that I can’t die for thee
I can’t live without you in front of me to see

How can I even think of dying?
I’d rather be happy like this, always crying
I’ll wait for you till I make sea of tears
I’ll really wait even if it will take thousand of years

You are really beautiful and always jolly
My dear I’m ugly and always melancholy
You my love, your life’s always a bloom
But my life, oh poor me always a gloom

Without a single picture of you, I wait
Without my heart by my side, my life still a gait
A sad feeling inside my heart, always to born
Life full of pain sorrow and frisson

Sitting on my bed, this precious time I kill
The empty blank pages on copy is what I fill
Life’s what you decide, not of your fate
Life's not full of love it's full of hate

The ticking of the little hands,
Brings hours to the foreign lands,
Brings the stars out at night,
And dark overcomes the light.

The ticking of the little clock,
Brings sailors to the rocking dock,
Brings people home from far away,
And brings the summer and spring day.

The time is clock and clock is time,
The seconds of it made this rhyme,
It wove the threads of years past,
And makes the years ahead seem vast.

It tells men when to get to work,
And foxes just when they should lurk,
And the owl who goes to bed,
When we get up, Sleepyhead!

It tells the moon to go away,
And when the sun should stay,
It tells the moon to come about,
And tells the sun to blow light out.

It makes the grass turn brown or green,
It tells the mallard when to preen,
It tells mostly everything,
Even when the birds should sing.

I think this poem now should end,
But remember time is friend,
It sometimes may seem enemy,
But in the end you will see.

what's at stake anyway ??

Global warming ,
political and scientific debate's
Big buisness being
the biggest contributers and...
the detractor's of truth....

But...i have another question........
is it possible , at one time ,
the earth and the sun were
at it's greatest distance apart
hence , the Ice Age........

Do you think it's now possible ,
the earth and sun are now
coming closer to eachother ??

when we consider " time " as we know it ,
universal time isn't exactly the same.....

Who within' our lifetime or...
generation's past , have had the knowledge
or even the patience to track all this anyway ??

Sure hope we did'nt burn information at the STAKE !!

Human Wreckage (Part 4)

I can’t walk out on this feeling,
The fat lady has just about sung the
Ultimate aria of her own selfish pain and loss.
The duality of my desires schism through my heart
Like a fuzzy scalpel, cutting and tickling at the same time.
I visit the municipal baths site of my hometown,
Find it gone, the pool filled in and grassed–over as if
It had never been; the only reminder a blue concrete
Fountain still intact; no water, just earth and grass,
Filling the basin, moss and lichen clinging there.
I touch the stone; run fingers where as a child
They had been run many long years before.
Contact with the past, bolts in the brain, I am back.
Hot lemon sun beats down on bare skin,
Chlorine fumes stab my eyes, water splashes, crisp
Packets rustle and I see the changing cubicles: cupboards
Of wooden blue slats with batswing doors,
And myself swimming through cold, clean water
Aged eleven and full of life and vitality,
Future mapped as some golden pathway of potential,
As summer goes on and on, feeling like forever.
Above, the rumble of twin engines, a plane draws
A vapour trail, silver cracking the intense blue,
My eyes narrow and tear from glare when looking up;
I see the plane fly away, on and on without crashing,
No engine failure, no loss of life.
And I smile in the chill of the water and
The scorch of the sun when emerging to lie on
The grass or the sizzling concrete surround.
The skies dim, though, evenly cloud over that afternoon,
People pack up and leave before the first downpour.
Don’t go, I say, stay, it will pass.
They pay no heed, they do not hear me, ghosts are habitually deaf,
And soon I am alone as the first cold drops, big as shillings,
Spatter the ground; with shivers, the past recedes
I am back here; the pool is filled in and grassed over.
Modern rain, dirty, acidic, with trace elements of carbon monoxide,
Mocks my reverie; a junkyard dog cruelly barks laughter
In a distant scrap-yard of ruined machinations.

Time And Space and Love

Fly us to the moon where we never have to breathe
The chaff and flare of petrol in an urban ghetto seethe;
Our love, such vital oxygen, feeds each of us as one,
Sustains the pure conceptual time and space continuum.

Inhaling in our fibres, golden clouds of lunar dust,
Sweet galactic voices gently telling that we must
Embrace the fireball sun blazing on the face of Mars,
With her black and auburn tentacles claiming for the stars.

The solar winds may freeze our skin and drown away our sighs,
Despite chromatic visors, comets blind our seeing eyes,
And we may fall to silver knees and pray at some abyss
To let the dawn light find us locked in one eternal kiss.

Our love burns as the sun in space, no vacuum of ashes,
Just the meeting of our lips and the flutter of eyelashes;
Black holes may form and eat the world, yet let us leave a sign,
For as the stars, though dead and gone, this love forever shine.

Little Conversations

A running conversation stood catching it's breath
on the hill of decision, on the day of it's death
In an effort to stop the inevitable flow
of the moon in it's belly on a mission to grow
It stepped to the edge of the hill and transpired
with verbiage gone ancient and aching for fire
It stood up on tiptoes and opened it's mouth
to let the sun in, or to let the moon out
This running conversation was made up of air
and moods of the moment and bent silver hair
which reflected the sun in an effort to stir
all the things that it loved while he motioned to her
It took a look down to the Pool of Dissolve
and felt the earth shimmer within it's revolve
In an effort to keep conversation alive
it trampolined toes into a swan dive.

Remember when we were little and we could spend all day together?
remember how we would laugh when I slept over and it was time to go bed?
remember how we could play from sun up to sun set and wanted more time?
remember when we said friends forever?
you were always there when I needed to talk to some one
you would listen as I babbled about nothing or cried about something
you told me it would get better told me give it time you told me just hold on
you said... what ever you said and away I would never run,
I know years have taken a toll marriage, kids, work, I know this
I know should of, could of, would of, and out of site out of mind
I know we are still there for each other in our time of need
I know if we didn't live so far away from one another you I wouldn't miss,
there is so much I want to say to you so much time lost between us
there are mile the separate us and wall that divide us that we both put up
there is time we will never get back moments we haven't shared
there is a time and a place for every thing and I shouldn't fuss,
I could just pick up a phone and call you tell you this or that
I could send you pictures to show you how I'm doing
I could wish for the time we shared to return
I could just think of my favorite cousin like this morning as I sat.

I've been awake for a while now,
Sun is rising out my window pane
Shadows flash as we pass the trees
The train is slow, but I'm at ease.
The golden hue upon the fields
Makes me feel like it's a fresh new day.
Feelings come and feelings go
Just like the sun rise and set,
Some to remember, and some to forget.
YOu reach the mid-day peak,
Then sneak behind the mountains once again.
It never stays, you can count on that.
Gently rocking me to sleep,
But the sun is staring right into my face
It's reaching rays growing as it comes over the horizon
Telling me to appriciate what is now.
The quiet hush of wind as it brisks past the engine.
The first woken up grin.

5 Minutes Of Clarity And A Single Moment Of Serenity

The sun is shining
Its a beautiful day
Sometimes I have to pray
For the sun to shine on me
Instead of the shade
For darkness loves to cover the heart
Seems like i can't get a headstand
Pride greed and fear
Is were i started to steer
Family friends and goals
Are thrown in the holes
Lost in the distance of who i can't be
Memories i can't allow myself to see
It seems every time i try to stand
There is never a helping hand
For the true ones i had to hold
Turned their backs when i sold my soul
For the destructive path that i now lead
I'm the one who sowed that volatile seed
For this life of pain and misery
I'm a blind man who can't see
The sun shining down on me
For the shade has to stay
Until the day i have the strength to pray
A single string of hope
That i can never see
A fearful past
That i had to lead
5 minutes of clarity
And a moment of serenity
For every second at least one heart seeks
In this world of fear and greed
To be the person they want to be
For no one wants to experience this pain of treachery
The bleeding hearts and the lost souls
All had an obtainable goal
Threw away or taken people don't know
But human judgment is always bestowed
On the liars beggars cheats and thieves
Understand, you can not with out experiencing the deed
The power of choice is what we've been given
Hope, Enlightenment, Love And Peace stay hidden
For the key i hold unlocks this mystery
This mystery of H.E.L.P.
And then the shade of darkness shall go away
The sun shall now forever stay
Enclosed in this box threw the distance of time and space
I shall forever be hidden from the pain of my insecurities
5 minutes of clarity
And a single moment of serenity
Is what i shall have, Finally

I like it when the stars a line,
it's like every thing goes perfect every thing you find,
I like a summer sun set in late June,
I've regrouped calmed my soul changed my tune,
I like the sound of the ocean as it crashes on the rocks,
no matter the size of the wave it stands there taking it's knocks,
I like misty mornings the air so crisp a cold,
it touches you to the bone till the day unfolds,
I like a spring morning the most,
the sun is early to raise as birds sing the days toast,
I like greeting the day alone,
time to myself, time.. a moment I own,
I like as the day ends and all is still,
family's gather together as the night finds it's chill,
I like the smell of roses no matter the color,
they remind me of my mom and how much I miss her,
I like that I've learned to stop...and enjoy a world I never seen,
blue ski's, high mountain tops hills and valleys of green,
I like how this moment and time I didn't take for granted,
I smiled, felt and stayed in a moment here in a place were I'm planted
I like what my mom told me and how it came true,
don't pretend hold on to true love and let out the real you,
I like how my wife and kids completed a world I couldn't see,
she showed me what love is and they set my heart free,
I like that I never seen it coming,
a story book, love song, fairy tail without an ending
I like who I turned out to be,
and I think mom would of been proud of me.

Stunted growth, some seedlings need both sun and rain
The sun went
away, never returning again Seedlings into striplings
grown warped and
weak Striplings become plants, prospects bleak To bear fruit, to
spread its own seed Was a forecast none could have

Until came a butterfly bold, beautiful, unique It cared
not that the
plant was weak It would land on plants upon whom others never settled
Taking a chance, willing to test their mettle It thought
that come
spring the weak plant could bloom Giving nourishment and shelter the
butterfly assumed
On came the weak plant to fulfil the butterfly’s trust
Grow stronger
and higher it knew it must For the butterfly was also
bereft Nothing
but the weak plant had it left They stood alone together
the plant
trying to grow The butterfly waited for changes to show
Time elapsed, spring came and went
The butterfly grew tired of all the time it had spent
The butterfly
had kissed the plant with pollen and strength The weak
plant hadn’t
 bloomed, didn’t grown in length
The weak plants roots sunk deep in soil too fallow The
couldn’t save one with potential so shallow Leave the
weak plant, the
butterfly knew it must Find a strong plant in whom it
knew it could
trust Alone the weak plant knew it would live Deep roots
in bad ground
life would give However weak forever it would remain
Hopes to grow
 strong torn forever in twain

Luxury of Living Things

Spring is in my steps.
It's tucked behind my ear in orange blossoms.
It shivers me in sun in morning breezes
and stops to coil seeds in soil spun.
It foils all the last attempts of winter
to ice and freeze the sapling green decree
while slipping songs to birds in rectifying
the quiet of the winter's revelry.
Spring is in my smile.
It's braided in my breath of peppermint
It has me waking irises from frozen ground in sleep
and crushing air perfume into their scent
It matches every moon to slip in silver
It breathes the sun and warms the sullen ground
It wakes to dance the prelude into summer
to the luxury of living things abound...

Some thing is coming.

Yesterdays sun hides behind today's over cast while tomorrows storm echos in
the distant ,
the dense sun light prepares us for the rain, the fall leafs soon will be changing
color again,
the chill breeze we fill on our backs means winter is coming, time to work like
the preparing ant.
snowbirds scatter, mosquito's stings will soon leave our thoughts for the cold
bears a bad fillings for our two friends.
The smell brings to mind the holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the thought
of another passing year,
a time for family , memories of the loved ones that past and the new members
who joined us,
we will sit break bread and toast to the future, treasure the present as we
laugh so hard at the past we twinkle a tear.
the holidays when all is forgiven and the rest is put behind, for now it`s about
love and happiness.

So let the clouds roll in, allow the leafs to change, and bring on the cold,
it`s that time of the year when we warm our hearts,
it`s that time of the year when we have them to hold.
and it`s that time of the year when the healing from the year starts.

Waves and Whispers

We huddle over the mass of our treasures
with stinging skin and salt ringed hair
while holding a washed blue sea star shining
we whisper with bittering breath on the tide
The waves peel thus and entice us to dig
with backs holding skies and the sun raging noon
while fingers break open in white salty clean
we meticulously scan the horizon for change
We stop when their fins slice the water in arcs
with hands shielding eyes and our lips flooding smiles
while standing like beacons with roots on the land
we wonder if dolphin eyes strain to see us
The moment they pass we are back hard at work
with bellies of hunger and cotton tongued thirst
while feeling the sun on our skin to take home
we whisper that this is the time of our lives.

Misfortune in a Fortune

one day
some day the sun will die
some day the sun will die and the duaghters of angels will cry

they will sigh
they will lie in open pastures beneath the moon
they will lie in open pastures beneath the moonlit sky

then they will come
they will come from beyond the veil to tear and eat before the coming gale

soon they will rise
they will rise from the ocean skies and seize upon the daughters with wide open eyes and they will come to despise the lies they were told to shush their worrying whys as all of them dies underneath the opening skies and no one will be left in reprise, no one left, no one will be left to pour down tearful cries.

Midnight Falls

The rising of the sun casts all into light
outlying the minute details of life
the hardship and struggle
and deprivation of hope.
The sun follows a dedicated route
from east to west never a new path
just like life itself
the same aches and pains dripping dripping
constantly through the I.V implemented
the symbols never change the seasons
the seasons never change their symbols
the plight of man can be simple enough
I can never be satisfied I want more
I need to want more
our minds can stretch beyond its borders
but yet we fall short of glory
time after time
just to reset time when time has come
just as midnight falls
so do we

The sun was glowing
as the wind went blowing.
Along the river’s path
flowing ever so gently.

Leaves rushed side by side along
the path.
Limb’s of the tree’s swayed,
and creaked while fresh air breezed
Refreshing all that was on my mind.

When in a hurry I never see it.
Beauty has made her mark in nature.
And nature has made beauty in a glimpse
in this natural scenery.

I will remember to slow down,
now on when I go for walks
along the flowing river path.
While the wind is gently blowing
and the sun is majestically glowing.

For I will take time to savor it all.
For my peace of mind as I walk along.
