The Eternal Tree

I am Alive Forever and always Essence Rebirth Renewal
I have earth to ground me I have wind to move me I have fire to cleanse
my spirit I have rain to quench my thirst for growth
I have sun to enlighten me feed me I am my own mother
and an extension of the whole I am Earth wind
rain sun fire I am as old as life and I am as young
as time I am shelter to those who seek me I am a bird a flower and the breath
of the earth itself I am exactly where I want to be I am life
I am first and last the beginning and the end I am one from many
I am what I am I live I grow and I die. I am Reborn unto myself
                                                          I am the great circle
                                                           My limbs know no
                                                           Boundaries; while
                                                           My leaves whisper
                                                           The one truth of the
                                                           Whole through the
                                                           Seasons changing
                                                            Colors that I wear
                                                            Upon my heart's
                                                            Sleeve, I'm home
                                                           To Earth Mother’s
                                                           Melodious Life; I
                                                           Sing for the whole
                                                         World to hear - trees
                                                       Are Earth Mother's Song
                                                       Blowing 'round the leafy

Sea Bride

Across the white sand waters
meld of teal and turquoise hue,
in sunlight, emerald facets,
in shadow, grays of blue,
first breaking light of heaven,
tinted sky in tones of shell,
dancing lights, pearl pink and saffron,
fleck the bosom of the swell.
On waves of crisper coral
the majestic sun ship sails,
bright bride aflame in glory
blushed beneath her misty veils.
Such beauty blinds my vision;
my gaze is downward drawn
to vanilla foam soft swirling
in the footprints of the dawn.

Queen Sea and Her Three Paramours

So enchanted was Sun by Queen Sea as he sat near some clouds high above he began sliding down stealthily till he touched the dark face of his love. Then Sir Sky, so aroused by Sea’s hue, began melting along with Sun’s rays, and by now, Sun was dipping into the blue depths of Queen Sea. In a daze, Sky gazed down, and with ruddishness blushed! Then a third lover looked on the face of Queen Sea. Feeling thrilled, Night then brushed rosy heavens with deep purple lace. Night embraced lovely Sea! Sun was gone. And again, Sky with envy looked on. Sonnet done in nine-syllable lines for the Anapest Trimeter Contest of Pendleton Arkwright

Island of Sylt

I smile and feel the wind massage my face
Then close my eyes to smell the fresh sea air
The seagull’s wings catch wind then float with grace
A day on Sylt can wash away all care.

I love to see the changing of your tide
Then feel your mud squeeze gently through each toe
You steal my breath your rippled surface wide
Now baring gifts of sea shells as you go.

When you return your rushing waters swirl
And take back all your precious jewels too
I watch in wonder as your wavings curl
And I’m in awe just at the sight of you

Now lying on your sand I watch each cloud
They tell me stories changing forms for me
Today the Greek Gods sat there very proud
As if they wanted all the world to see

The sun has bent down low to take a drink
Now thirsty from his journey through the sky
He dips his head in waters turning pink
Then quickly disappearing shuts his eye

Oh, isle of Sylt your sandy beaches fair
Invite me to return and taste your shore
The salty waters where I’ll sit and stare
Oh, isle of Sylt I’m knocking at your door

King Sun and Goddess Sea

One summer day, enraptured by the Goddess Sea, King Sun shone down with all his might; most splendidly he moved the Goddess, for she rippled laughingly a shimmering reply to Sun in azure sky, and while reflecting that same hue where King Sun dwelt, her turquoise ripples lengthened, for the goddess felt herself now rising up with joy. Wave after wave was leaping, frothing. . . as King Sun more strongly gave his final rays to her. Then he descended low that he might kiss the lovely Sea on earth below - to kiss her soon before the last day’s shadows fell, and so he touched her where she’d let her body swell. With yellow gold, his final glow, he bathed her face, but when the night arrived with sable colored lace to drape the goddess, Sun had vanished from all sight; below Sea’s depth he’d sunk - to love her through the night. Ode to Autumn

Earth’s sphere of fire bids adieu to me

As dying embers gleam across the sea

In rare hues reflected by autumn trees,

Swirling in motion with October’s breeze.

I feel the joy this season has to share

In golden harvest that the branches bear,

And I am thankful for this blessed year,

For divine abundance I share so dear.

The sun and moon take on a special glow

As thunder clouds move swiftly with the flow.

Yes, autumn coaxes feelings to revive,

Those mem’ries of past seasons still alive.

When autumn spreads her dress of lacey frost

I know, in breathless beauty, I’ll be lost.

The Life I Love

(In the words of a happy little mermaid)

I slide through silky cerulean seas
Silently swimming wherever I please;
I glide through water with buttery ease,
With skin that is smoother than ivory keys.

There are secret gardens I love to explore
Far below the world on the ocean floor,
Where are colors no man has seen before
Hidden in an underwater treasure store.

Deeper down in the sea, where I go on a whim,
The light is so far it is grayish and dim;
There the masts of shipwrecks rise dark and slim,
And coins of gold line passages I swim.

On tropical islands with flowing waves
I play in uncharted, mysterious caves,
Or nap in the sunlight's golden rays
In a silent shoal on balmy days.

I pick pretty flowers to put in my hair
And splash in the shallows with never a care;
The droplets shine like diamonds in the air,
Rising and falling like a crystal flare.

When the day is over, the dolphins sing mass
And the sun sets fire on the leaping bass,
Then I lie in a bed much clearer than glass
And pray a sweet dream for this mermaid lass.

Love - Sweet - Love

                                                       Hand in hand
                                       Sandy beach with beautiful sunset
                                                            in love

What could be more romantic than
when the sun is glowing red and orange
                                          melts into the sea somewhere
And two who are in love and goes hand in hand

                                                       A small box
On his knees in the wet sand beach
                                                     Will you be mine

                                              She blushes as the sunset
                                                Smiles her lovely smile
                                                        Yes, I would

The sun melts into the sea somewhere
But for a couple in love, the night is still young

Silent in its violence, the sun
lays its ancient fire hand on the heat-scoured
concrete of the promenade,
the boxy seafront chalets tilting and creaking at angles,
the scorched, salt-stiffened gardens,
sand dunes, the screaming blue sea.
It is so difficult to accept a loss, a deprivation.
Innocence flaps its winding sheet behind me,

its mummy cloth of myth.
As from an isolated moon I see
the first cold breaker rush to engulf me:
an underwater undulance,
undercurrents of menace, of malice.
The sand-strewn strand stretches into infinity,
shimmering with the visions, the voices, the echoes,
the faceless departments of government and society.

I watch the insouciant people around me,
they possess a flatness, like blank paper.
They hump and lug plastic picnic paraphernalia,
ridiculously, all beach grime and blistered backs,
reduced to a red cindery glow.
Ice creams, scooped from the freezers
in trinkety seashore shops,
are clutched in sunburned hands.

They are spreading striped sunbathing mats,
snide and smiling slyly.
Is it a mirage, a delusion,
plucked from the desert-dry air?
The air snags in my throat: the flat summer stench
of warm wood, sun lotion, billowing cotton -
blank but expansive; the creaking, the flapping.
A strange wind howls and banters in my ear.

And the train shrieks through its station -
the station of my brain -
a riddled red abyss, poker-hot.
The sun is sinking:
a disc of fire, a blood clot.
Water floods the ridgy shallows,
eddying into treacherous pits.
The black gun muzzle of my mouth

flays the oxygen from the air.
My nerves a hive of wires suffering
the scarlet atrocities.
Pokers put out my eyes.
Squeezed by the forceps of agony
I see nothing, nothing
but a mirage of wavering dunes closing in
and the sea splintering; a multitude of glass glittering.

When The Sun Sets

When the sun sets, The stars shine with no regrets. Darkness fills the air, The moon gives light with every care. The darkness is easier to walk through, Every light shining is so pure and true. Guidence forever are the stars in the sky, With them we find our places lifted so high. Forever is the moon to cast light upon us all, We become encouraged to stand firm and tall. The stars shine with no regrets, When the sun sets.

When the sun sets, Shining its powerful light it never forgets. Though light fades to darkness, It comes about with alertness. Shadows before the eye can see, The little shining light is enough to set us free. Sometimes we are afraid to walk alone in the dark, From which we were given a caustic remark. Guidance Forever is the changing of dark and light, It helps us to be strong and make one last fight. Forever are the shadows lurking at every turning point, If we give in it is ourselves we disappoint. Shining its powerful light it never forgets, When the sun sets.

When the sun sets, The sky is filled with wonderful colors that the ocean reflects. All the animals of the sea, Come forth creating a musical harmony. The waves crash upon the shore, Washing up new sand to the ocean floor. Its a beautiful site to see, The ocean sounds are calmingly free. Who's to say the ocean isn't peaceful get away, Its a calming place to relax and stay. The sky is filled with wonderful colors that the ocean reflects, When the sun sets.

PART One,,,, as she saw it.

The mountains and the meadows were always so beautiful this time of year.
It seemed as if a fresh new world always came to life. The high cliffs turned sharply downward. As I sat listening to the ocean tides smashing against the walls of the mountain below. There was a mild breeze blowing from the south. The grass in the flower covered meadows moved with the breeze. The sun shined so brightly I thought it would melt me at times.

As I stood up from the log where I was sitting by the emerald forest, the breeze pressed my dress against me. It formed to the soft round curves of my breast, down through the curves of my waist pushing against my yielding hips. As I blinked from the sun, I saw him there in the distance. I had thought I was alone. But there he was, starring straight at me. What would I do and where could I turn? I knew what kinds of thoughts men had, my mother told me all about them. I saw that he was beginning to move my way !

I saw him there as he saw me. I was paralyzed, not knowing what direction to move. Though as I watched him from afar, he did not seem dangerous as my mother always warned. Still, I could hear her words like a tape recorder in the back of my mind.
Should I dare take my eyes from his? I could see his eyes were dark, maybe brown, or even midnight blue. What ever the color, I could tell they were smoldering with restrained passions. His hair was long to his shoulder blades. I knew that because it moved with the wind. He had broad shoulders with long legs. I knew I must not let him reach me. If his arms entangled me , surely I would never get loose. And, I'm not sure I would want too. Even though I heard the words of my mother, running in my head.
I could feel the tiny beads of sweat trickling down between my breasts. I was not sure I should take my eyes from him as I leaned down to pick up the fan that had slipped from my hand to my bare feet.

PART ONE,,,, As he saw it .

The winter snow had melted and yielded to the bright warming rays of the spring sun. The bears had come out of hibernation with their new born looking for food. The mountains and the meadows were born again, new, fresh and alive with life. Everything was beautiful and as it should be. Birds singing, their mating songs blended with the crash of the surf against the steep cliffs of the mountain. Nature was at peace with itself, and I came here to share in this peace. To be alone with the earth, or so I thought.

I found a place to sit on the grass hidden among the flowers in the high meadows. So I could enjoy the gentle breeze blowing while watching the forest animals. The warm sun caressed my body and warmed me. It was a prefect day, yet something was missing. A day like this needed to be shared with someone, someone special. Stretching, I caught a slight movement out of the corner of my eye, just across the enchanted forest. Of a beautiful women. It couldn't be possible as no one knew of this place. I had come here for years and had never seen a another person before. Yet, there she was. Dressed in a dress the wind made love to, pressing it to her body. Clinging to the sensual curves of her breast, down to her firm waist and full inviting hips. I suddenly felt drawn to her and stood up. I knew she had seen me as she was starring back at me, as I stood staring back at her. She was a vision. And I was afraid she would vanish if I approached her. Yet, she seemed to be smiling, calling to me as I started walking towards her. I remember the stories my grandmother had told me of the enchantresses that lived in this forest, but I did not hesitate. I would give to her anything she wanted, anything she desired.

As I approached her I realized she was real. She seemed to be looking at me, daring me to come closer. All the stories of the enchantress my grandmother had told me flooded my mind with a warning. Yet, she was so beautiful, so inviting and I couldn't take my eyes from her. I was slowly losing control with each and every step that brought me closer to her. I knew I was lost as I felt the heat of my desire to be with her, starting to take control. It was a struggle not to run to this beautiful creature , with the golden hair, and angelic face. As I came closer I couldn't help but notice her sensual breasts rising and falling with each breath she took. She seemed to be smiling, challenging me with everything that made her a beautiful, desirable woman. A woman this sensual, this beautiful, this desirable was surely the enchantress, and I was hers. As a bee is drawn to the flower, I was being drawn to this women.

Suddenly she reached down to pick something up. It was just then I noticed she was barefoot. As she bent over to retrieve what she had dropped, the sun reflected off her spun gold hair. and radiated a golden brightness that was almost blinding. Her dress shifted allowing me to see that her body enhanced her dress, rather then the dress enhancing her body. She would look beautiful in anything she wore. The heat of my desire for her was beginning to consume me with it's fire. I felt the beginnings of ,,,,,,,,,,

Ever Turning Circle

In winter’s white, as angels cry
for early spring to warm the wind,
to bring to life with gentle sigh,
in love, the bitter frost has thinned.

For early spring to warm the wind,
at Valentine’s romantic calls,
in love, the bitter frost has thinned,
where dancers twirl amid stone walls.

At Valentine’s romantic calls,
rebirth of nature’s light divine,
where dancers twirl amid stone walls,
and blossoms pastel shades recline.

Rebirth of nature’s light divine,
when day equals the hours of night,
and blossoms pastel shades recline,
to hail the queen of May in light.

When day equals the hours of night,
a summer’s sun will come to play,
to hail the queen of May in light,
we chant and sing along the way.

A summer’s sun will come to play,
so life can grow as gods decreed,
we chant and sing along the way,
with warmth and light our hunger feed.

So life can grow as gods decreed,
the rays of sun on seeds we’ve sown,
with warmth and light our hunger feed,
the wealth of harvest is our own.

The rays of sun on seeds we’ve sown,
in autumn breeze that chills the heat,
the wealth of harvest is our own,
as gold and red belies our feet.

In autumn breeze that chills the heat,
a year that ends with blessed Samhain,
as gold and red belies our feet,
the call of Ancient’s name to reign.

A year that ends with blessed Samhain,
to bring to life with gentle sigh,
the call of Ancient’s name to reign,
in winter’s white, as angels cry.

I Tasted Summer

I tasted summer…
It sure tasted good
I was dying for a sip
Of my iced coffee CHINO
Only in Cyprus…
My drug of choice
Crushed ice with sweetened coffee
In the evenings
succulent watermelon treats
Eating it all with relish
Even the seeds
what greed!

I tasted summer…
In that first dive into the pool
How cool!
Immersed in liquid delight
Open eyes
I touched the bottom of the pool
Two dolphins painted there
Let me have my way...
I did a handstand
Legs pointed straight up into the air
The water running down my legs
Straight up....I held on

In my element
My hair flowing around me
As I did my strokes
Diving in and out of the water
A fish…
That's how I got described
by the one who watched,
"Your so agile"

Such exuberance
I thought…OH…this is better...
Better that a sensual high
There was I
Gliding in and out
Water above, below, all around
Carrying me
Splashing around me
loving me
Playing...playing with my hair
Saturating my soul
With giddiness

Muted sound
Below the surface
I swim underwater
The width of the pool
I thrust up for air
Water slides off my body
The sun kisses me
Applauding the feat
I taste summer
It sure tastes good

Salty scent in my hair
My body slathered in sunscreen
Sand clinging to me
The beach
My sensing feasting
On every single thing...
My eyes delighted

A small September crowd
Enjoys the breeze
that creates the waves
I wade into the water
Intake of breath
I squeal
It's refreshingly cold
The water laps at my legs
crawling further and further up
Making me gasp
I submerge
I laugh

I dive into the waves
One by one
I play...
I push myself high
My face to the shore
They pound on my back
I take a deep breath and let them roll over me
Enjoying the roughness
That "out of control" feeling
This is greater than me

And then
I lie back
I float
Blue above
White puffs: baby angel breath clouds
I let the sun ravish
The water carries me
I forget everything
My mind blank like the blue sky
There is nothing but the NOW
And there am I
Tasting summer
Salty and sweet
September treat
And happy
Oh, so, happy, am, I!

Deep ocean tune

Water droplets become liquid pearls, delicately balanced on milky white petals
Crowning gems sparkling jewels mist under lashes gleam

The beautiful white yellow sunlight all visible wavelengths of light refraction
Fluttering a rainbow promise under the bridge colors bright

The goddess of fertility, wealth and comfort her name Dana-Ana
A crowning beauty sings whom stands in every dream

Sitting on deep rocks a treasure who combs every feeling
Sea cradled her and she heard Neptune whisper .... so beautiful you are

With golden glowing fingers of emotions held captivated in her rays
Filled with warm love when evening shadows and stars turns out in the sky

Mediterranean island, where one finds so much to do
Abundant days of sunshine and the sea is limpid blue
Lavender, thyme and laurel; history spreads in rich galore
The temples, feasts, devotion bring religion to the fore.
Acclaimed for fruit and honey and the fish that’s brought to shore.

This is a friendly nation; you’ll be welcomed by a toast
To the best of health intended to last long while she’s your host.

Summer Surfing

The blazing sun is shining bright
upon the swell of ocean’s pride.
An offshore wind is blowing light.
The blazing sun is shining bright.
There are wild horses in full flight.
A surfer takes a curling ride.
The blazing sun is shining bright
upon the swell of ocean’s pride.

Hollys' Dawn

At dawn a secret Shadow tries
to catch a glint of Sea's surprise
as Daybreak sheds her dim disguise
and silent, signals Sun to rise

Then arctic moods and murky eyes
glow warm, grow light and Morning ties
her silken silver Water prize
with strands of sand to gentle Skies

Ocean Cry

The quiet walk upon the shore,
The quiet need for something more.
The quiet cry of some seagull,
The rowing of a boat that is halfway full.
The putt putt of a motor,
spraying out of water.
The soft, grainy sand beneath my feat,
The geese flying south in V shaped fleet.
The light spray of water upon my face,
The Great Big Blue ending in a trail of lace.
The light green grass swaying in the breeze,
The cooling air gives you so much ease.
      Oh tell me now,
      Oh tell me when,
whenever shall I see you again?

A Summer Walk

The sun is slowly rising and a soft wind gently blows
We are heading for the beach to feel the sand between our toes
There is something about the summer sun and a walk along the shore
That tends to put your world at peace as you hear the ocean's roar

The sound of children's laughter and the smell of tanning lotion
The taste of salt in the air from the mist coming off of the ocean
Sea gulls against a clear blue sky and a ship with its' sails set
These are days that will live in our memory, days we'll never forget

There are palm trees, music and a carousel as you make your way along
And a young woman in a bikini, her body swaying to an island song
There is a rhythm to the pounding surf, unchanging day to day
That tends to ease a troubled mind and take your blues away

Will you join me in a summer walk and be there at my side
Will you run with me into the water and swim against the tide
There's a bench out on the boardwalk, we can sit a while and talk
Then head back home together as we finish our summer walk.

Moon Dance

The waves slide over the shore
Leaving tiny, squiggly trails
The moon and sun battle for the sky
And the big, bright moon prevails.
The beach is shrouded in darkness
Dimmly lit by only one light
That dances through the undertow
Marching its way through the plight.
A stencil of gray laces the sky
Creating a vision of death
Slowly overcoming the shore
'Til it takes its last breath.
The ocean itself which had once held
So much life in its depths
Has become drowned in its own contents
It is meeting its own death.
A storm lashes its way
Solmnly across the sky
To make room for what will unleash
That will cause the very moon to cry.
Dancing and waltzing across the shore,
The moon sadly turns away
She can't bear to see her ocean like this
And witness it going astray.
With one, final, swift motion,
She casts her love out to sea
The love she held deeply for her ocean
The world, and all her countries.
She makes her way back to where she belongs
And lets the sun take over the sky
I didn't, in all my years,
Think I would ever see the moon cry.
But she shed those tears so bravely
And dried them so nonchalant
She turned and made her way back to the sky
Like it was something she could never want.
The moon had lost the battle
And, defeated, began to fade away
Then the sun began to dance, too
To celebrate a brand-new day.

Swept Away

Mid afternoon, the sun slams down,
On the shifting sands of a coastal town,
The monument points with a gun to the sky,
The heat haze displaced by a seagull’s cry;
On the quay I sit and look out to sea,
At the distance between the horizon and me.

At a quarter to four I have not moved on,
Wearing haunted looks that I thrive upon,
An ice cream melts in a splitting cone,
Seeping through cracks to a twilight zone.
I take a deep breath and rise to my feet,
So cold and alone in the sweltering heat.

At the closing of day, the sun settles down,
The night muscles in on a coastal town,
I drift to the bar and the sea licks the walls
Of the harbour without where the darkness falls.
I look to the dusk for an answer or two,
But there’s no sign of life, and there’s no sign of you.

Heart of The Sea

The heart of the sea is a mother's heart
She is the great ancestral mother of all life on the planet
Deep within the mysterious waters of her womb
she conceived and gave birth to the first life form
which evolved into more complex organisms
that live on the land and in the air

She is an essential part of the planet's ecosystem
feeding the clouds which bring rain and snow
that sustain life on the earth
Through tiny ocean plants and photosynthesis
she removes carbon dioxide from the air
and converts it to more than one half of the oxygen
in the earth's atmosphere

She is the great food provider to the planet
having her own internal food chain
with tiny phytoplankton at the lower end
and enormous sharks and whales at the upper end
She feeds creatures from the land and air
that venture to fish in her waters

She is a thing of beauty even in her enraged fury
with massive waves towering over a hundred feet
and the seething white foam of her waters
This has been her action
even before the advent of man on the planet
Man must respect her behaviour
or suffer death and destruction if he does not

She is a thing of beauty in her calm stillness under the setting sun
which lights up the evening sky in its glorious splendour
and paints a glistening beam of light on the water's surface
in line with the sun and surrounds it
with brilliant colours of the rainbow

Fun in the Sun

Flesh on show and sun tan lotion
bodies laid on towels or sun lounges
By the ocean
Salty air wind blown hair
Music streaming from the near by fair
Baby screaming nappies full
Cool guys looking for babes on the pull
Sun shades and floppy hats
Grown men playing cricket with ball and bats
Sand castles and buckets and spades
Candy floss and lemonade
Father With binoculars pretending to look out to sea
Or read a newspaper but really looking at the bathing beauties
Bikinis and manknies G strings tight where the sun don't shine
Hot dogs and hamburgers the popping of corks from bottles of wine
Hairy legs and wrinkled skin
child almost drowning couldn't swim
Muscle bound Life guards with muscles to impress
Granma lost her false teeth
Dropped between her breasts
Ice creams and summer dreams
Young child peeing in the sea
Among the swimmers splashing about with glee
People playing beach ball and football
Mother calls come on all it's time for tea
Large Busty woman running like jelly on a plate
Wobble wobble
And nearly starting an earthquake
Sand between your toes
Sun burn on your nose
Sweaty arm pits sweaty bums
Toffee apples and bleeding gums
Sea gulls flying screeching high above
Clear blue sky pure white dove
Watching the frothy waves stretch upon the shore
Watching the horizon and tiny boats 10 miles away or more
Dogs running here and there
Sweets being passed around to share
Crabs and shrimps and other critters in a rocky pool
Children with fishing nets and jars to take them back to school
Para gliders pulled by speed boats high in the sky
Oh why do people want to risk life
As they could die
Postcards to write people on there bikes
The smell of fish and chips
Children with jam around their lips
Couples walking hand in hand barefoot on warm sand
Treasured memories and photo's to cherish
Suitcases packed feeling unwound and relaxed
Can't wait until next year when they come back.

Livin ' by the Sea

livin’ on the beach in a hut by the sea
green grass , warm gentle breezes and all kinds of lovely trees .
I’m gonna beat the heat to make my retreat sittin by the sea
Cause its winter in the world cept livin here with me
I am happy to make your acquaintance
And i raise a glass to your health , long life and prosperity
So peace my friends and welcome to the sea
Where the music is playin’ ,the sun is shinin’, the people gentle and free
No hassles from the man and no worries will make your day go bad
Lay back and hear the music that wont be sad
The sounds will keep you cool listenin’ to the beat
The sun and the gentle warm breezes
All the pretty girls in bare feet paradin’ down the street
where livin is easy and laid back like u want life to be
Plenty food and drink for you man
To sing and dance the night away
Come down to the sea and live your life away

One Summer Long Ago part 1

.One Summer Long ago

I watched idly as the wind played with white puffy clouds
The sun shining brightly against the loud blue sky
The horizon shimmered and danced
merging sea and sky into eternal romance
Islands of white ,amidst deep emerald waters ,dotted the Aegean
Stretching away into shrouds of summer haze and misty beings
Waves crashed onto golden sands of deserted beaches
Baked by the sun ,unmarked and virgin for eons
Whispering above the wind, siren songs lured weary bones to rest ,
while billowy white sails float along to the west
The great long oars sweeping along the painted faces
of warships majestically making their way among long forgotten places
Dusty footprints in the earth lead to visions of truth and purity
To tales of beasts, gods and beauty
This is the land to which I sail ,
embarked upon my epic journey of which I will regale
A young man of thirty , on a quest for adventure and tall tales
Returning to seek a necklace recounted in myths and legends

As it proclaims ,a necklace adorned thy crown o mighty queen
A pure reflection of peace and beauty ,a rare sight to be seen
Now at war they seek your pleasure
The reason behind the lust for crown and glory
And to the victor ,go the spoils
One mighty warrior took his treasure
and killed the queen as his pleasure
In drunken glory he gave the crown
to his lover to keep till he found
A reason to return for his crown

He went back to war , and died for his sins
his lover grieving went back home to her kin,
He to his lonely grave , and she accepting her fate
Tossed the necklace into the sea as her heart learned to hate
She recounted many times , written in poems
buried by sands ,lost amidst the memories of long ago
,the map and all the treasure of their war
the story of their lovers parting day
Why she tossed it so unceremoniously into the bay
Calling upon her Gods to protect and curse
her secret of jewels from her death to her rebirth
Cursed and forgotten it was said ,
The secret taken to her final bed

Generations apart, a legacy passed down in poem and song
I, the younger son, took it upon myself to undo the wrong
to recover and to keep ,the jewels hidden in the deep ,
And close the door for all time ,
this legend of diamonds ,sapphires and gold
I would not rest till I conquered my goal, my mighty quest

Dancing Trees

Rocking and swaying in the breeze Tree branches are dancing with glee Such playful action of the trees So joyous, unfettered and free Leaves are all rustling and sighing With a sound like waves of the sea Like a crescendo that rising And then subsiding gradually Leaves that fell to the grass below Perform their dancing in the air The breeze tosses them to and fro Making the show a grand affair The sun is shining in the sky Bathing everything in its light I'm feeling such a glorious high Gazing at this beautiful sight

Sun Kiss - Welcome the Day

Sun Kiss - Welcome the Day
                   by Amy Swanson

Kissed so softly by the sun

          warmth on my face

                    wind in my hair

                              enjoying this place

          of quiet contentment
          at peace with life

          letting my problems

                   go ....

                         ... flow...

out into this

                        without a care.

Breeze blows gently
            I close my eyes ...

                          soul drifts along

                          entwined with nature

                          precious moment

                          peaceful solitude

kiss of sun

       hot on my eyelids -

                                                   my heart open

                                                   I welcome the day.

we've been travelling

we've been travelling
across the sky,
we've seen the clouds and felt the sun
we've flown in a plane and had lots fun.

we've been travelling
across the sea,
we've saild in a boat and looked for old caves
we've felt the wind and seen the waves.

We've been travelling
across the hills,
we've seen the fields and touched the snow
we've ridden in trains, some fast some slow.

Mistress Of The Sea

                                  Song of the waves beckon
the heart calleth, deep unto deep
                                captive mistress of the sea

This poem is dedicated to the fisrt time I saw
the ocean. I watched the sun rise over the Alantic Ocean.
I remember I stood there looking over the ocean,
and it seemed as though the whole world held its breath,
and then the sun came up! I was her captive from that moment.
