Pursue Love

Pursue love,
the love that has no meaning,
the silver ports of the moon,
shine so bright,
that it blinds you in the twilight
she is beautiful and she is divine
she is the song sang by the sweet nightingales
in the gardens of worthy, overgrowning and blooming roses,
like wildfire grow tall and the thornes of the vines
tangle around her feet and drag her ever so slightly
throughout the garden of beauty.
As the roses lay along a table,
as she sits at the table
and she waits for me, the wordman
to come to the dinner table at the stroke of nine
and sit with her,
start a scene or two of romantic setting,
to pursue love in her name.
Love is around us,
the candlelight shines and reflects in her silk hair,
as her evening dress glitters and shines
and her bossom shows itself in the nightsky
as we lay together,
we pursue a dream together,
forever we live together forever,
as we stand upon the belcony of Romeo and Juliet's love scene
we swim in a pool of sweet divine care and love,
we swallow grapes and drink wine
hand and hand on Persian rugs and virgin white cloth sheets,
we dance to a simple, yet sweet Chopin's masterpiece
of his beautiful nocturnes,
which make such a sweet and romantic song in our heads.

We stomp out the flames
as we dance the night away,
and you lay in my arms,
and I kiss you upon your lovely head,
and you hold my hand,
and I hold you tight
never thinking of letting your love go away from me,
I would take my own life,
before I lose your love.
See us together,
it is a painting that lasts lifetimes,
that needs no touch-ups.
I care for you and love you!
Love me, I know you will.

My sweet and loving portrait lady,
who in reality is more beautiful than a fully bloomed rose
that sits on its green stem,
in the garden of beauty that sits outside my window.
Come up to my chambers
as I picked roses for you and pettles litter the atmosphere
as love's tension grows
and suspence brings us together,
let us make love tonight
seal the passion
and pursue love once and for all.

Then shall we wake with the first rays of the blazing of the morning sun,
I shall wake next to your beauty and glory,
and I shall point my attention to the heavens
and thank the Gods for sending you on the open road,
toward my chamber door, I call my heart.
Then we shall dress, and walk the pathways
in the garden of beauty
and I shall pick a bauquet of roses
and we shall sit by the lake and pursue our love
for one another
and nothing, not one earthquake shall shake us apart.

Fields of the Black Rose

Flowing fields of black
Roses the hue of night
Dark meadow take me home
Relieve me of my fright
And take me back.
Blackened fields of ashy rose
Take me to my home
Where I'll never see the sun again
Where I'll never hate
And never bend
Where we only see in shades of gray
Where summer sun has shone its last
And November wind is here to stay.
Where I can go forget my past
And never have to pay
For the things I've done.
Blackened fields of ashy rose
Take me to your home
Where we all see in shades of gray
And I can rest in the coldly blowing wind.
Forget my face forget my name
Forget my form forget my sin
Let me stay and waste away
Please won't you take me in?

Too Late to Leave

.

...The sun rose again the next morning
and since then, the days pile up and wait
                                I'm longing to leave too...maybe I'm gone
hope is dead and life goes on without me

And since then, the days pile up and wait
for a return that I know won't be
Hope is dead and life goes on without me
ignoring the pain of her infinite absence

For a return that I know won't be
I'm longing to leave too...maybe I'm gone Ignoring the pain of her infinite absence
...the sun rose again the next morning

Ode to Mi Corazon

As I pull weeds from cracks in sidewalks
Yout sit on top of thrones made of solid gold
And I pay no mind to the women around me,
Only to your beauty do I hold an Ode.

I see my fair Spanish lady
my daring, sweet rose with thorns,
That run up and down her spine.
As she stops in the daily parade
Waving at the peasants,
She looks at me and summons her guards
Too take me away.

Her beauty is unbearable.
I cannot take not being with her
For a single moment in my life.
Her hair,
Black like coal,
Her smile is bright, as the first rays of the Red Sun
In the dawn.
Her lips painted with ruby lipstick,
her silk laced dress and shawl wrap around her,
Like a beautiful butterfly in her cocoon.
Her skin of olive, dark color and her green eyes.
My God, those sweet and piercing green eyes
Oh, how they hit my soul and make me shiver with excitment.
She is intoxicating and I am intoxicated in her beauty.

She is like an angel, a Latina beauty who walks the streets paved gold,
As I walk the cracked, cobblestone walkways.
She shines in the Spanish sun, like a dimoand in the ruff
As you blow the dust off her sweet brow,
she glows and sparkles with extordinary excellence.

She is beautiful and sweet and kind.
She loves me, but her father minds.
I am only a peasant, and she royalty.
Can our love ever be together in one holy matrimony?
I pray to the Lord, of all that is good,
Please give me a sign that she loves me.

Soon a storm came over,
blowing me down to the ground
And a cloud of dust swallowed me whole.
A great Conquistador on a great white stallion
pulled me up and told me that she wanted to see me.
I shacked with nervous of joy as I followed the warrior.

She was there, under a palm tree
Near a beautiful beach in Barcelona.
She smiled and a glow covered me with passion.
I hugged her and kissed her upon her sweet lips.
I tasted virginity and she tasted loyalty.
We both tasted beauty and harmony.
As the warrior left us,
We made love upon a vigin white sheet,
Soon covered with a flowing river of red.
She moaned with exticy and love was in the air.
The Ode to my sweet Spaniad, Mi Corazon!

We lay there in each others arms
Looking up at a clear night sky
The twilight glimmered ever so softly
And a shooting star blazed across the sky
I kissed her and she kissed me.
I whispered in her, "My love forever"
And she pushed me back upon the sheets
and we made sweet and ever lasting love again.
As we looked in each other's almond colored eyes.
I said to her, in a soft voice, Mi Corazon.

SCENT OF SUMMER MEMORIES

We've had a glorious season of summer
Love's warmth shinned on you and me
And everyday was a beauty bright
As far as the eyes could see

Flowers showed off their fragrant bloom
The sun's rays were like a symphony
Summer breeze set a vacation mood
And blew work's ambition to apathy

But now the leaves have begun to fall
And cooler nights are all in vogue
The consistency of summer's heat
Has all but fully gone rogue

So, one by one the flower blooms fade
Until only a lone rose petal remains
I breath in the scent of summer memories
Lingering in the moment of season's change

Summer's Ending

6 stanzas...four lines each...

Summer paused on the path to pleasures of autumn dreams.
Alas! Summer's picture perfect days were soon to end.
Dare she stretch to steal through autumn's open door...
She turned, laughed and wrapped around rose hedges.

Alas! Summer's picture perfect days were soon to end.
Nature would close the curtain on her whimsical days.
She turned, laughed and wrapped around rose hedges
Butterflies chasing sunbeams sang duets, that soared.

Nature would close the curtain on her whimsical days.
Summer ran to stretch in sun ablaze on rainbow-ribbons.
Butterflies chasing sunbeams, sang duets, that soared.
Pouring rains, storms, nature teased while she mused.

Summer ran to stretch in sun ablaze on rainbow-ribbons.
Wild, carefree, night, day, summer flaunted her dazzle.
Pouring rains, storms, nature teased while she mused.
People, chased summer fun, voices lit in expectation.

Wild, carefree, night, day, summer flaunted her dazzle.
Her endless path through stream and gardens glowed.
People, chased summer fun, voices lit in expectation.
Summer basked in her days filled with countless joy.

Her endless path through stream and gardens glowed.
Summer paused on the path to pleasures of autumn dreams.
The world took her picture to store as treasures for eternity.
Dare she stretch to steal through autumn's open door...

LET IT RAIN

It's raining today - dreary it may be
The imagery of the raindrops in my view
Dripping ! In my brain I visualize
The dark clouds surrounding me
Thus I see - will there be sunlight
I look, I ponder! I watch and I surmise
the sun may peak in these predominant skies
Mesmerized - sun rays gleam in my eyes
Those beautiful hues - and yet the spectrum
The iris - that beautiful rainbow
It feeds my soul - I look at beauty
And thus blooms the flower - I know
It rained today and thus I say
The gardens grew - if you only knew
I woke - I had beautiful thoughts
Raindrops danced on my life this day
And yes! I saw a bud flourish petals
It's spring - and the rain doth bring
With a little help from the sun , my flower
Blooming in my head I visualize
Look what I saw when I looked at the skies
Imagery in my head, I thought
Imagine it - and the bird it may sing
Music to my ears - I listen - I see
That spring - it's really blessing me
Enlightened I saw the dead rose then grow
And I sit, I still ponder , it's roots I know
And the rose once posed- still life - of art
Prominent are the skies to make you wonder
                                    The rain might start!!!!!
                                        Again & again

My Beautiful Penelope

Oh my sweet and beautiful Penelope
Oh how beautiful you are, and when I see you come down
to the pearl gates of immortality and come down to see me,
as we join hands and walk the shorelines
I see you my beautiful Penelope, she you who walks through beauty,
We shall join in immortality.
Your heart built of stone and paved in golden
you born out of the beauty of a rose and maturity of a lady
you are the one who never sings a depressing and low melody.

My Beautiful Penelope,
The one beautiful lady form Napoli
Oh, how you walk in such glory.
See me look over you and hear my heart beat
for you, I love you, see me for I care about you.
Take it from me, for I shall take you by the hand
and as our shadows rise to meet us in the morning
I can make love to you, then we shall love the night away.
My beautiful Penelope, as I take you through the twilight
we dream of shooting stars falling from the evening skies,
as we hold each other close,
take me and I shall take you and bring each other together,
and fuse us together with a sweet and loving kiss.

She is my beauty and I love her
she takes me by the hand and curels me to her warm chest.
Cares for me,
Makes me laugh,
Makes me feel good and uplifts my soul
everytime I lay my almond eyes upon her beauteous body.
My beautiful Penelope, oh how I see the glory in your blue eyes,
your luxurious, long flowing hair colored golden
like the rays of the morning sun.

Dare to care
about such beauty in her eyes?
Dare to care
about such beauty in her cries,
as she tells me of her suicide struggles?
I hold you close to me
and I hope you to be
my love for all eternity.
See me and I see you to tell me about you and your day,
as you come home and say,
That you love me.
And I shall say I love you too,
with a zealous attitude in my voice
I shall take you into our room and you shall tell me about your day.
You shall tell me, under the shadows of the trees, the houses, the red rocks.
I shall show you love in a handful of roses,
deliver you a bouquet of roses and violets,
as we see the breeding lilacs grow tall,
we shall lay in the grasslands and look up at the clouds,
that shape themselves into beautiful paintings in the glorious blue sea
we call the sky.

Oh My beautiful Penelope
my glorious maiden lady,
who sings such beauty in her melody
that it brings tears to nightingales' eyes.
My beautiful Penelope, you are my love
here are a dozen roses for you to express and show my love for you,
my beautiful Penelope.
Love is eternal with you.

Rose Petals

As the rose petals float downward
Like new fallen snow upon soil
The vine looks to the sun upward
Waits patiently for sun rain no toil

Cleariing my mind of all clutter
Feast on eye candy in garden
Walking like butterfly flutter
Beauty surrounds scene lifts burden

Captured away in the spirit
Visit nature on Holy realm
Come to nature God promerit
Each day there is beauty like Elm

Or this morning fireball red sun
Rising on eastern horizon
Waterdroplets infused rose scent stun
Nature's gift on heart emblazon

DARK SKIES

The wind crept up - the skies ever so dark
Black, slick, clouds and calamity enters thy soul
Dreary! It chatters and limbs they fly
No sun upon thy face - beaming with hue
Those clouds they swarm in darkness
Rain - it pours - flooding the earth
Bewildered I look up at this blustering sky
The trees are dead, It's spring - yes death
Roses in the ground with the trickling raindrops
The April showers - You haven't a clue
True grit! The soil now nurtured
The roots - feeding on this phenomena
And yet when the sun shines soon
Day after day - trees will come to life
And roses in bloom- life after winter death
In awe I see this beautiful imagery
In my brain, as I see the pouring rain
My mind - I visualize - the beauty
Thus, why does it expose calamity?
Beauteous be the wonder in my eyes
And how I love those dark dreary skies
A rosebud in my teeth - I see
Is extraordinary and so is the tree
Let there be rain as it nurtures the soil
And with the chatter of the wind, let there be turmoil
Again in my brain, I can truly love this day
I see life in the rain that is pouring today.

My Love Intended

My love intended for the girl of my dreams,
she walks from side to side,
not knowing that I walk alone.

She is beautiful than any other thing in this simple world,
everything around her shakes and trembles
as she walks on by without a spare of a passing glance.

The wine is drunk
the last cigarette smoked,
the pain of heartache gone away.

It feels good to see her go my way,
to take the pain with her away from me,
as I sit in the wayward cafe on the river of ashes.

A beautiful girl she is mine,
but that course of life shall no surpass mine,
and my heart beats and takes me away
in hope of falling in love.

Irony of love and hate,
it is similar in many ways,
as I sit and think of her.

She angers me,
but when the vail of anger falls over my eyes,
the passion of love enters my mind.

Come now, take me away,
hold me in your beauty,
and love me with your gentle body.

Go into the gardens,
where the nightingales sing,
and sit at the patio's crossway.

Watch the artists paint pictures of the garden,
watch the writers write about the garden,
and watch us go and pick flowers in the garden.

The air smooth and wind breeze calms the nerves,
the pain of my sorrowed heart is soothed,
by her sweet intellegence and beauty.

Her eyes, orbs of blazing sunlight,
blind me with the beauty of her beauteous face,
her lips and skin smooth and pure.

She is glorious,
My love she is the dream girl,
who comes and takes my nightmares away from me.

As I sit on the park benches,
I light my last cigarette,
and reminicse on the days with my love.

I close my tired eyes only for a moment,
and the moment is gone,
my beauty is gone.

The tears are all gone,
the pain has gone,
the feelings of everlasting love are all gone.

Where did it all go?
Where did my beauty go?
Where did my love go?

All gone now, all gone now,
as I grow old,
the feeling of death takes me by surprise.

The park bench is cold,
the cigarette is burnt out,
I am longing for a drink.

I lay in a wayward cafe
drink a coffee and talk to myself
discussing a book of poetry.

Looking over to the right
I am blinded by beauty once again
this time this is no dream.

Alas, my dream girl came
that appeared in my sunny pleasure dome,
who has walked barefoot in the gardens of my mind.

She sat with me,
I looked at her
and we smiled together.

We held hands together,
and dreamed together,
forever and ever.

Love everlasting,
everything everlasting,
cigarettes smoked together.

A cloud over our heads
in the shape of a heart
my love.

IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH GATE

I had a dream last night
fogged by an uneven frost of the morning
guessing if the sun rose.

It dawned on me
it was night still
with forehead engulfed by the fallen hair.

I figured her out
against wealthy gold streaks of sky
while flowers kept merrying in the garden.
Sitting cross-legged in the pavement
She awaited a long cherished arrival;
the pavement turning
          BLACK , white
          Black , WHITE
          Wh…

Time danced on the cross roads
with a series of its resonant restrained movements.
Its hand drew out for me
and I trying to grab them
  found the sun shining
  illuminating everything
except shadow of my own construction.
The very next moment
  ate up its hands
and shadow intermingled with the silent darkness.

Vehicles tossed up the roads
flooding the pavement with light
Yet,
Alterations marked the vivacity of vagueness
  to fathom the unfathomable
and fragmented mirth wetted me from within.
Perhaps,
WHITE would make my shadow flee, I thought.

Sitting there,
she snatched stars from the moonless sky
and buried in the boisterous soil.
I climed up the hill
  and fell from the precipice
  and she followed
like unshed tears of void eyes.

I kept stringing up my instrument
as I had only songs to offer
  that of my own disintegration
And she stood
in front of the church-gate
in deathly austerity.

The deity rose in protest,
Melodies evolved from the ocean-cradle
-filling the air with its uncommon pitch
and my songs kept straying in the corner
  looking for fortification.

I dreamt then-
     trees stretching themselves upright
     trying to peep into heaven:
     Deep fragrance of incences rising
     where I stood
     draped in WHITE
     praying with vague distrust.
  ……..
        ‘AMEN’
                ……..

I rose from the bed rubbing my eyes
  and at the breakfast table
  I sat dismayed
  as I remembered all.

Just Like The Others

" Just Like The Others "

They found her near the rivers bank
as the sun rose in the mornings rain
her body beaten and bloody with no clothes
her precious life went down the drain.

This young girl was such an angel
her feathers ripped from off her wing
they found her broken golden halo
as the church bells softly ring.

She was a families special daughter
her loving heart was full of glee
her childhood was love and laughter
she had a closeknit family.

Soon she faced her teenage years
Just Like The Others can't you see
they all had some fun with alcohol
which led to speed and ecstasy.

All teens will bow to peer pressures
she tried these things onto the next
and of course she had no creed
not until she boast of sex.

Sliding down further a twisted spiral
sadly another young wasted life
drinks, drugs and sex will take their toll
a young childs life is full of strife.

Many bad things done to fuel her habit
had caused her to lose her self control
to feed her cravings and ease the pain
this young girl has sold her soul.

She is so young and just turned twenty one
the last few years have not been kind
her pride and beauty is now all gone
the drinks and drugs have destroyed her mind.

Now she has taken to using needles
this young girl has fully given in
no more speed nor ecstasy
she is using heroin.

This young girl now street parades
in high heels and real short skirts
gaining her money for her drugs
and she is treated just like dirt.

Now there is no longer any help for her
she has thrown it all away
trying bad things unto the next
soon with her life she will pay.

Its sad to think we all have failed her
by ignoring all of the destructive signs
because we always let this happen
repeated again time after time.

We blame the media and this age
by branding the young folks all the same
citing the drugs and a drunken binge
its sad we never take the blame.

These precious youngs ones are our kids
why have we let them all fall down?
Were we too busy not to see?
To watch them flounder and slowly drown.

Yes, they found her near the rivers bank
as the sun rose in the mornings rain
her body beaten and bloody with no clothes
her precious life went down the drain...

Trap

A Red Rose sticks out from between two stone, So bright this Rose that's blossoming here. Reaching between two great stones for a trickle of light, Pleading with it's petals like hands clasped praying. Such a curious and unique flower sits there. Across a stream that flits by unassuming, Content to flow by this beautiful rose trapped by stone, Reaching for light so that it may be free. The leaves have fallen and the sun is grown weak, It falls from the sky like it was fleeing the thought. That if it hung any longer it would not have the strength, to lay itself down to rest for the night. It has grown cold for my Rose; red and shaking as bits of snow lick at its petals on their way to the ground. Alas! The stones have lost their grip and the Rose starts to dip slowly toward the stream to escape in it's powerful current. As the Rose reaches the water's edge against the silent snow, Ice is all that awaits the Red Rose that has wilted in the cold. I step out of the wood and walk across the ice, That contains the powerful flow of water like a plexiglass prison. I have never met a stream so unassuming and ignorant To the beauty that is 'bout to be forever lost When as I'm bending to lift the frozen Red, Beautiful Rose The sun strikes up into the air like a match and burns with such white hot intensity That it melts the ice upon the stream. Where I stand. As I am swiftly swept away in the cool water, my eyes fall for a minute. on the Red Rose which has risen again: strong. and bright. and beautiful.

FALLING IN LOVE

What a phlox in you I find, What a Rose Flower, oh babe: Bright like early morning sun of xmas. Succulent “things” like the rightly ripe pawpaw at my backyard. Oh Babe what a beauty you are to behold – Making gawping heads not able to eyes hold back, Goggling eyes round whole streets turning in ogle – Stupefying sensations sending down signals into phallic organs! And can I contain this fire of desire? Down my frame, too electrifying, feelings ductile, And whole system holding spellbound, as in phantasmagoria, A deep chill of early harmattan morning. Oh Babe, I can see the fiery flies of love In your luscious orbs flying, beckoning for a dear. But can I be your bee? my sweet sixteen! To your sweet red nipplenectars suck? like a suckling? What a phlox in you I find, Oh Babe, what a beauty you are to behold. And can I contain this fire of desire? Oh Babe, I can see fiery flies of love, In your luscious orbs flying, beckoning for a dear, Down my frame, too electrifying, feelings ductile, Making gawping heads not able to eyes hold back. What a Rose Flower, oh Babe: Bright like early morning sun of Xmas, Goggling eyes round whole streets turning in ogle – And whole system holding spellbound, as in phantasmagoria. But can I be your bee? my sweet sixteen! To your sweet red nipplenectars suck? like a suckling. A deep chill of early harmattan morning, Stupefying sensations sending down signals into phallic organs! Succulent “things” like rightly ripe pawpaw at my backyard: Nwanyi oma, my sweet Asaba Queen: delicious Xmas stew, I sing your conspicuous beauty, your deserving love: for am no philistine: What a feeling too conquering to contend, aphrodisiac! – A philter too difficult to contain, down my vein, my marrow! Sweetie, I adore your fine phizog amatory. Wow. A wonderful mien irresistible, cloud nine delirium tremens Down my pliant spine killing ardour sent. Figure -8 What a towering pulchritude, a pleasant statistics!

BUDS OF LOVE

Buds of love bringeth thy breath
Buds of love - on a sun shiny day
The rosebuds bloom in the womb
The womb of the soul in a sort of way
Shines the sun - nourishing thy bud
Awakening thee - to then be in bloom
Gorgeous the flower to see with the iris
Promotes the feelings of love if only to then see
We perceive the beauty glorious to then be
The roots of the flower we bring into view
Saying I love you if then you only knew
Walking paths of life if only then the clue
Loving you my love a long stem is divine
So are the climbers we planted on the fence
To say that I love you dovoted I am and hence
Forth each spring we grow such a flower
To cherish our love everlasting, planting the seed
And cultivate the weed - opposing the bad in life
We love each other - morality, and so we do need
Each loving moment we cherished with the bud
Buds of love , we sought to mean to one another
The love we endeavored to only each other
The rosebuds bloom! And I love you forever
Like the sun shining down upon my face
Glowing a radiant hue of beautiful rays
Still cultivating! The sky I then trace
Looking too at colors of the rainbow, I see
After the rain pours down , I oppose the blues
Buds of love, your true love , I be
And in the womb of my heart, I cherish
This beautiful feeling that overwhelms me
Each bud that blooms , blooms in my soul
And my soul walks with you day by day
I truly love you, This i can say
So therefore buds of love I welcome
I know in my heart they will bloom
And the weed is disposed of
Voila I'm on love!

The Great Sun God

I looked over the horizon
waited for the sun to rise
time ticked by but darkness still rained
and I thought how nice it would be
if the sun rose right now
and the heat that I craved
the dawn was here now
the more I thought
the more it rose
my brothers wounds healed
from the battle of the night
Hades will be upset
the Underworld lost it's might
Ares punched my arm
and Thor lifted his hammer
Zeus gave a smile
and the sea god laughed a while
I had made the sun rise
and that is my job
because I am Apollo
the great sun god

--For the contest I suppose--

Forever Moon

If the sun never rose again,
Would it always be night?
Or would it merely be day,
Without the light?

If the moon never left the sky,
Would time really go by?
Or would the World stay still,
As we moved around,
Or when our feet hit the ground.

What would it look like
If there were no stars overhead,
Would it ever look the same again?
Or would it just look plain,
If the sun never rose again.

ROSES IN SPRING

In the springtime the beauty of roses come to life
True of beauteous blue days , and the sun rays do shine
The rays nourishing the soil blooms the beautiful bud
The dark clouds of a blue day then must it rain
Also nourishing then the beautiful rose blooms
Beauteous be thee rose that in our soul
Sprouts feelings of love making us completely whole
The long stem in red purest too of white
And dozens of roses from our true love
Are a gift from the mysterious skies up above
And with our eyes , we see this tremendous sight
And the imagery be born by the ultimate sunlight
"How do I love thee, let me count the way"?
Give me a rose! that blooms as to say
I love thee like the flower that warms my heart
A new day with a symbol and a brand new start
My love to giveth this wonderful flower
Then promotes that of also the flower of power
The power of love everlasting too then my dear
Brings glory and sunshine each coming new year
And as I see the pouring rain in the paths of my life
I see beauty of the garden each step that I take
Each day! the progress of the buds in bloom
Marks my soul! With each breath that I take
And the baby's breath as I breathe I do see
The bundle of love prominently surrounding me
Thus then love - that it symbolizes in my heart
Bring us significance of beauty - not tearing us apart
Thus again give me a rose ! With love I do declare
To say the words I love you! and remind me you care
And on the bluest of days when dark clouds are in the air
I have the sun to look forward to for the bundle of love
Buds blooming in abundance - I see such beauty
And in my heart - I dance - loving you truly.

Angel rose

In the dew of morning light
Angle rose greets the day
and tucks away the night
As the sun heats the early sky
Her soft persona cools the shade
where lovers tend to hide

When I since her enticing flavor
I am stirred and inspired
to stop there and savor
It takes me aloft to a place divine
And Keeps me there
for the most pleasurable time

She blushes like a song bird singing
And shares her beauty,
selflessly giving
She lifts her pedals to the sun
Then lets the world
drink of her charm

To know this rose so fair for real
Can only serve to spoil the deal
To admire this rose is mine to pardon
For she grows in another man's garden.

Lullaby

The sun rose this morning as so did I
Sounds of birds chirping echoes inside
The morning light hits my eyes
With sweet smell of a new beginning
Which blossoms all living things like a rose
And the wind that sleeps
In crowns of trees
Begin rustling leaves awaken the earth
The beauty of the day shines it light
So bright and pleasant to all its kind
Life begins to dance So vivid and divined
Casting its spell of love
And magic for you and I
Another day unfolds
As the sun cast the days shadow
Upon my face
Just as the day rose
It fades away like morning dew
The sounds of the night
begin to sing a lullaby

Then Night Came

The sun did rise;
Its golden pallor brightening the land,
giving heat and light to the pristine earth,
lush vegetation, rich soil, and pure sand,
our planet glowing with life at its birth,
wondrous creatures, some great and some small,
spreading across this expanse that was fair,
uncounted plant life, some short and some tall,
supplied the needs of creatures, ground, and air,
then night came.

The sun did rise; The eye that gazed saw a two-legged man,
staring grateful at this wondrous orb,
its heat and its light he did understand,
felt good on the skin, its warmth to absorb,
the tilling of crops to store for the cold,
with the sun he worked form dawn into night,
the raising of flocks to keep in the fold,
against the coming of the winter fright,
then night came.

The sun did rise;
Plumes of soot and dust rose into the air,
death's foul chemicals had no place to go,
the greedy man fought for more than his share,
to take hold of all riches was his goal,
putting his brothers neck under his heel,
to rise up to the ultimate power,
no remorse or pity did this one feel,
to sit atop that Babelic tower,
then night came.

The sun did rise;
Decay and stench rose up upon the land,
buildings and structures crumbling into heaps,
a smoldering waste the dying wind fanned,
carrion and rats were filled with their feast,
a hazy dark cloud did cover all things,
the green that was there now turned into brown,
no longer were humans able to sing,
the earth was dying, not making a sound,
then night came.

The Rose

A rose reaches to meet the sun shinning down
A worm vacates his home as water enters the ground
The sun goes in the moon comes out
The wind blows to shake the trees about
The rain falls to nurture the grass
Autumn approaches summers pass
Colours from green now orange and red
The rose once bloomed now is dead
Winter is quiet not much sound
A blanket of white now covers the ground
The rose gone bye winters doom
Springtime showing its new bloom
