My Son Moon and Star

My Son Moon and Star ~

Approaching the celebration of his Birth
                cherishing the gift I received
within weeks of conception I knew
something amazing was in Creation ~

            the Stars held a party
sending me with one of their own
Gazing at 3 shooting stars twinkling crossing the sky
It was magic It was destiny taking its flight.

In love with an October full moon
               drawing and painting I liked
thinking of Vincent Van Gogh ~
caught in a loss of time

Hours going by as choosing my color
a wittness to three falling stars
             A clear night sky sparkle's
A once Famous Star was sent
inspiring the tiny child inside ~

Never a doubt in my mind at all
child bearing was worth any pain received
yours will be in a pursuit of a dream ~
             one to cherish and hold
My Son was born the following August ~

working on the set of Grimm 3rd season this year
as the set of Leverage for 3 years .

Has done a Indie movie here
In Paris it was seen and honored
coming soon filmed in Portland ~
"The House of Last Things "

awaiting the credits , you will see

1st Assistant Director ~ production assistant

My Young Lion Mans dream ~
A proud mom I watch every show and the credits

as foretold in a whisper to me 25 years ago
My Son & Moon and Star
A name you will all know ~

Happy Birthday to my creative Son
you will exist in my heart forever~
                        and thereafter
                             Mom

A theoretical assumption into the causation of Earth's rotation

1000 miles per hour scientists have calculated the Earth’s rotation
And 25000 miles in 24 hours according to their quotation
They say it is the distance from the sun qualifies their concession
But it is the facts that they failed to mention

The fact in the matter is, it is not gravity, the sun or the moon
So I thought I will break it down so you can see the big picture soon
And those scientific theories are fallible and can be popped like a balloon
Then you can stop watching the Discovery channel and watch a Disney cartoon

In order to deliver the facts I will change from monorhyme
This will give you the information in digestible nuggets in time

Here we go:

Fact: we know that love makes the world go round
Just enough to stop you flying off the ground
According to my calculations, there are 380000 people making love every second
Wait a minute, just in case I am beckoned

22800000 in a minute, 1368000000 in an hour and 32832000000 in a day.
That’s a lot of people indulging in naughty play
Therefore each person generates 3045808967 gigawatts of negative energy
Calculate it yourself and if I’m wrong I’ll change my name to Cenergy.
The negative energy is what repels us from the sun
This is not generated from the up and down of underwear of everyone
If we quit the Earth will stop spinning
And this may mean we’ll come out winning
For we won’t die or age in years
We’ll never be made redundant due to someone younger taking our careers

You can borrow money and go in debt
And never pay it off if you take it over a year I guarantee the bet.
For if we stop love, time will stand still
And to get it moving again would need the love pill

So from me and Captain Morgan, we say good night
Tomorrow how the earth got it’s crust we will write.
So say good night to this drunken plumber
And by the way, if we stop the sun will suck us in and that’s a bummer

Good night

When The Sun Rises

Dear God, when the sun rises,
I can only wish for a better day.
I'm not looking for consolation prizes;
I know life can't go entirely my way.

I just want to love and be loved,
To have hope and a great faith.
Sometimes the choices in life are tough,
After sunrise creates a new day.

Love Sings through your Eyes

Like the sun in the morning,
Like the many blue skies.
Your smile is soft like a rose,
And love sings through your eyes.
Love sings through your eyes.
So many times,
Oh how I've tried to find a way to say "Thank You".
All my hopes, all my dreams,
All my plans, all my schemes,
All my life its you.

Like the sun in the morning,
Like the many blue skies,
Your smile was soft like a rose,
And love sang through your eyes,
Love sang through your eyes

The Median Death of the Red Delicious

“God bless us all when the door is shut behind us,
only then will we breathe our first breath,
and awake
from the long dream…”

Forging past the indisputable summit onto the
shelf of the perfect medium (ah, ‘tis noble here!)
he sits, contemplating his balance. He does not sweat.

The winds breath breaks upon his predestined neck,
bestowing the gift of lily white scent upon a lapel that’s
stiff, yet pliable – just stiff enough. A 72 degree sun

shines its neutrality, (fueling his desire for nothing at all,
just the concept of sun giving heat, like a heartbeat,
unnoticed in its certainty) upon his stagnant face.
He is wearing his favorite pants (soft, worn jeans with

a little give, but not enough so that he forgets to hold
in his stomach), and from the ample pocket, he takes
an apple. It is a Red Delicious. Not quite living up to its
name, but unassuming and secure in its redness – he eats.

It’s not the best apple he’s ever had, but its good enough.
The vultures, native to this coveted desert waste circle,
vying for the core of his Non-Delicious, yet edible fruit.
And as he Bites into the last white taste of just fine, a glint

of sunlight flashes briefly – like infinity within dreams,
off of the vultures black eyes. And all at once he knows –
everything is. The death birds orbit the terracotta desert
peek (red and inviting in its dry and unforgiving reality),

the bird turns away so fast after catching his eye,
he forgets that he’d ever seen its pulsing recognition.
The forgettable sunset mollifies him - sedates him,
pacifying his every forgettable non-movement.

It is then, when the last dripping light of day descends
behind the obvious rock mount; the definite edge
of darkness falls. Shadows creep slowly and quickly
across the terrestrial rock spine, (engulfing its redness

in its totality) leaving just the remnants of burgundy
skin between yellowing teeth, and a deafening black desert.
As the sound of raucous wings and ripping jeans dominates
the guttural desert - the vultures take their coveted prize.

Liberation(for karani kelvin)

THE sun superbly smiles in the world
The faces of the people become impeccably bright
And the birds brood, sing softly enraptured,
Wet green grass glean with dew light,
Various flowers loutishly bloom bright and fresh
And the dull, dark night stars disappear,
A breeze cuts through the world without brash,
Hearts of people beat lightly the rhythm they endear
And their souls unburdened duly of dubious oppression,
Their formerly bowed backs now straitening,
Some jubilant wiping the sweat of emancipation
From their victorious visages, now blatantly beaming;
And the mountains seem to recede down to plains,
The burly, bullish bushes let sun rays penetrate,
The rivers flow on sun shined land, colorlessly sedate,
Seas now smell of edible, huge fish’
And thence, the long eagerly awaited tuneful liberation
Emerges from the sun-coated east horizon goldfish
Spreading luxuriantly to the west with expectation

Summer is lemonade

Summer is a lemonade

Summer breeze blowing the grass around
with a warm sun kissing my face
blue skies wrap and hug me
as I watch the butterflies race.
Summer gives me lazy days
coloured flowers and dancing trees
smell of charcoal and starry nights
brings back childhood memories.
Summer is an endless beach
sun cream, bikinis and beer
salty seaspray, fish and chips
postcards saying "wish you were here".
sunburnt shoulders and fun fares
laughter never seemed to fade
grab the ice and share around
yes Summer is a lemonade

IF PEOPLE THINK

I asked a scientist to make an olive's leaf,
So green with its juices,
Smelling spring and sweat from gatherers hands.
He answered that he couldn't.
I asked him to make the light of the sun,
Reflecting its warmth in morning's appearance.
To make a sun enslavor of the sea,
Of breathing trees and eyes,
The eyes of those who stare its dream.
He answered that he couldn't.
And when I asked to form the air of dawn,
So heroic, sympathy air on faces of those
Seeking the dew,
On mainsails following the wind,
He answered that he couldn't.
How could ever human hands, so shakily and small
Give birth to miracles, when their lines
Consist of a hidden mystery delved from ages unsure?
Where human says 'I can't',
Nature raises and rules among Glory and Triamph.
If people think that they live with power and safety,
In houses they built with tractors and iron muscles,
How could they live when road will be their only home?
When they will be forced to run to mountains
And lie down on stones and windfalls
How oh how could they live?
If people think that they eat because they cook
Aseptic food in their high-teck kitchens,
How could they eat when a slice of bread will be
All they have?
If people think that they can adjust their warmth
By pressing a single button,
How could they feel warm and enlighted
If the Sun won't raise, if darkness fills the air?
When people think that there is nothing they can't do,
Replete with egoism, relying on their hands and their brightness,
A huge laugh is coming from the sky.
Because they forget that when all is gone,
Floated down the stream,
Only God can stay still, unbreakable and wise,
Smiling at their ignorance that they own life.
And if they can't be satisfied with theirselves,
How could they embrace others
When time force them to be united?
Creatures excesses with passions and ambition
They want to change their roles and become
Gods in the place of the One.
Yet, their hands are so weak to carry world's weight
And their minds so human to judge fairly and amiably
The sins of us all.

Phobia's

     Phobias
A Bluto is not that Disney dog
	It was when a mewling
	that I would scream
	Should they wet my body
	And then apply cream

Ablutophobia – fear of bathing, washing, or cleaning

	Achluo the demon that lurks
	In darkened corners
The long toothed life suckers realm
I am scared as the sun dims
It seems to bare my soul

	Achluophobia – fear of darkness
	Acro what did they do
	They called me acrobat
	This will not do
I get giddy standing on a matchbox
Please get a net to see me through
	Acrophobia – fear of heights

	Agora just shut that door
I am staying here forever more
Bring me food put it on the floor
The letter box is just for you
Don’t, Don’t, try to get through

Agoraphobia, Fear of open spaces or of being in public places. Fear of leaving a safe place

	Algophobia - fear of pain

	Andro I’d rather be (android)
I am metal and plastic you see
Electric person not man or woman
	That would be so sad
If just a man I would go mad

	Androphobia – fear of men

Antho the pologist got the plan
He put concrete throughout the land.
Not one shrub or flower seen
Not one blade of grass green
A flower would make me scream

	Anthophobia – fear of flowers

	Anthropo was a lonely man
	Wouldn’t mix with others so
He lived in a cave, well just a hole
You would see his eyes peeping out
A shaking frame if people were about

Anthropophobia – fear of people or the company of people, a form of social phobia.

Aqua marine or even the wet stuff
Is enough to drive me mad
I stay in when there is rain
Just wait for the sun to shine again
A damp tissue that’s quite enough

Aquaphobia – fear of water. Distinct from Hydrophobia, a scientific property that makes chemicals averse to interaction with water, as well as an archaic name for rabies

Arach no, and know the score
Those creepy creatures on the wall
Send shivers up and down my spine
Six legs and venom to drive you mad
I am running already it is sad.

	Arachnophobia – fear of spiders

Astra my name you would think of the stars

Automatonophobia – fear of anything that falsely represents a sentient being

Aviat o if you think I am going in that

	Chaetophobia – fear of hair

Chemo therapy keep away from me

No matter how good they are, and that jar
The fear of everything for what they are

	Chemophobia – fear of chemicals

Chirop to or not too so I am told

Just shave my head and cut my nails dear

	Chiroptophobia – fear of bats

Chromo shines bright in my eyes
The fear of all colours I realise
Now I am safe from a troubled day
Into my dark room, I have found my way
Knock when that sun has met its demise

Chromophobia - fear of bright colors

Blind Faith

And the people were fascinated by the
sssa!
Lava touches water,
cools.
Water heats.
Water wraps its hands around the melting
earth, to choke it, smash it, crush it.
Reduce it to its powerless state.
Then
sssa!
Earth and water consume each other.
Water, flown apart, simply rises.
Earth must be quelled, drawn downward. Gravity does this.
And the people only see the
sssa!
The people bring a lunch, make a day of it, camp out.
And soon, the people cook over the earth’s heat.
The sun would blister their backs, make them
fester, make them
cook like lobsters,
but the sun gave up.
And the people let their eyes blister away, just
staring
at the inner earth,
listening.
Concerned only for the coming of the
sssa!
And the elements mingled, found each other
in the earth, melting.
Then found each other again
as noxious vapors.
And the people sat devoutly as their
eyes, ears, and fingertips
melted.
Now. There is no more
sssa!
Water has won its upward passage,
winding mistily towards a more celestial target.
The people sit. Still.
No eyes but burn marks, still singeing outwards.
No ears to speak of, no tongues to hear.
And the people believe.
The people still hear the
sssa!

Holding The Sun

I grew up in a place I didn't want to be
Became someone that i knew i didn't want to be
Society grabbing me by the throat telling me to be me
But who are they to say that I should be what is not me?
Catastrophe shaking this world, leaving fault lines at the finish line
Scarred for what we have to look forward to
You can't put your soul on hold for all your past pretensions
Earthquakes changing the course of continuation
Throwing vibes from left and right
Hitting the pedal to ignite
What imperial dilemmas that arise from such despise
From what i know i'm just another reflection of disguise, who am i?
Those that float around with no worries in the world,
Don't care about the money, all they've got is what's gold
The people who kill, for power and respect
Dont realize what is out there is what's in the next step
And it's all in their head
We've got all of eternity
The tower of destruction that'll set us all free
Cause in the end we always find that there's another place to be;
physically or mentally.
People walking around with frowns carved into their faces
I wonder if theyll ever look up and see that they've been going places
All along,
Giving up falling down through the cracks of the ground
They're at fault for all loss that was among their own soul
Oh, its a cold world
As it slowly turns, im watching the clock tick as i feel the room burn
And its funny, that people try to play the game of constant manipulation,
Repeated deification.
Thinking they were born alive, but really,
They were only born to die.
No not everyone lives under the sun these days
A lot of those that fear thy own will fall pale in the shade
Under a dead willow
How we all want the sun because it's here for a reason
We all expect it to invest in the seasons
The government work of treason,
Throwing ropes to pull it down
Making this place so much hotter than it was when underground
I can't stand to be bothered by the burn that it's put on my wrist
From slamming this door shut, we've got to put an end to this
We're destroying what's inside ourselves cause of things on all the shelves
Yet he destroys, and he breaks, so we build
They take the money, and we run it while they kill
Although it's kinda funny that the state depends on pills,
I'll hold the sun and run away from all that's real.

Gypsies and Others

This happened many years ago
when I was just a child.
Dakota was still a frontier state
and considered somewhat wild.

The caravan of Gypsies came
going from here to there.
I never learned from whence they came
or where was their great somewhere.

They drove wagons pulled by horses
and needed a place to park.
They came in as the sun went down,
to be settled before dark.

Many farmers said Gypsies were thieves
and would not let them stay.
My Daddy with his tender heart
could turn no one away.

He gave them the big pasture,
to park their horse drawn vans.
It looked like a little city
with the lights from the caravan.

My daddy didn’t let his girls
go near where the Gypsies park.
My brothers went, had fortunes told
and considered it a lark.

They never stole from Daddy,
he and the leader had a pact.
And I don’t know if they were thieves.
It wasn’t proven fact.

And then there were the working men
who walked our country lane.
We called them tramps, but they were men
who looked for work in vain.

They came to work the harvests
and with harvesting all done,
they had no money to get home,
They walked from sun to sun.

Gypsies, tramps or common thieves,
my mama fed then all.
She said they were God’s children,
or some angels come to call.

She’d fix an over flowing plate
and set them on the stoop.
We never missed an egg or chicken
from our big chicken coop.

Mother Nature's Unseen Show

I see these things some people don't see
Why they don't stop to look is beyond me

Because they are so beautiful to the eye
It can almost make me cry

A child's smile while they play
A sun rising to begin a new day

The sun that sets in the west
To let us know soon will be time to rest

The calm and sometimes soothing breeze
That finds it's way through the trees

The birds that soar to an all-time high
Against the pale white clouds upon the sky

The flowers that open and begin to bloom
Their scent that brightens up any room

I also see people walking on a busy sidewalk
You say hello but they don't want to talk

I don't understand why they refuse to smile
No they don't see it when all the while

Mother Nature is putting on a spectacular show
Where you can find her is where I want to go.

Sleepily

the Father visits his son in the dark of day
The son is abed, pale in the light of night
For the sun and moon are witness in this hour of twilight
But the sun is not heat and does not shine as bright
And the moon is not rigid rock
The sun is a warm hope, fading ever so slightly
The moon is softness, the dark is soothing

The son is abed, covers sprawled over his listless form
The son is restless, he doth not sleep
The son is ebbing, his heart does weep
and his Father lifts the covers up tight around his chest
and kisses his brow;
The son blinks wearily, smiles wanly, whimpers meekly

Sleep my son, the Father whispers

But I cannot sleep - Sleep eludes him
I want to play - Rest prances about him
close enough to want, just out of reach
And how can I sleep father? - How can he rest atop this fated bed?
When I wish to wake? - When his heart doth weep restlessly?

the Father wavers, he caresses the son's brow, but not his heart
For the heart is within, the caress without,
Rest my son, he says, rest and forget
The Father, gently, lovingly, pulls the covers up, tight around the son's neck

But father, father why
My heart will not sleep
Five more minutes? Just five.

Sleep son, the hour is late, the time is neigh

And the Father, always lovingly, he pulls the covers tight over the son, and lowers him into
the ground.

Just another day

Mornings brilliance
lets the sun spread it’s grin
Slowly warming the beds
awakening the flowers
as they raise their heads
birds chorus dawns delight
melancholic tunes contrite
Nature’s charms begin to stir
Doors slam shut and engines whirr
A shout of ‘Hello’, or ‘Good morning dear’,
Friendly waves and nods of cheer
Then traffic jams and people queue
Paper stands sell the daily news
Off to work the adults go
mums to school with kids in tow
A lovely day is off to start
Fulfilled with joy ‘till sun departs.

Acting My Age

“You’re not a giddy teenager
So why can’t you act you’re age?”
I looked at him heartbroken
Then my body shook in a rage

“Being passionate about life
Means I am acting like a child?
You demand that I be demure
Does that mean being meek and mild?

No, no, my dear, I want to shout
I want to be crazy and mad
To stick my head out the window
Belt out love songs that make me glad

I want to let my body move
To a belly dance drumming sound
I want to feel young and alive
Make love without hushing the sound

On days when I water the yard
I want to get wet to the core
As I point the hose to the sky
The wetness makes me crave for more

I want to see my sun catcher
Make the rainbows dance on my wall
And have multicolored sweet dreams
I want to wander through them all

When you take me for a long ride
I’ll let the wind dance with my hair
I want the music to be loud
What if people just stop and stare?

I want to laugh till my sides hurt
And the tears are just streaming down
I want people to be happy
So I play the part of the clown

They say life begins at forty
Now I know that it does for me
Don’t you dare try to bring me down
You know this 'girl' needs to feel free

Peter Pan’s not the only one
Who will stay forever this young
He’s got me for good company
You know, we have songs yet unsung

So…please, if I am eccentric
And acting a little insane
Remember that I’m passionate
So please, I beg you, don’t complain

And when I want to be ravished
Or to play a naughty love game
Don’t say that was for way back then
Don’t you dare try to make me tame

I desire to ingest life
At a mad and frenetic pace
I am desperate to feel the rain
Splashing down on my upturned face

You know that I must be sun kissed
And to spray on coconut spray
To do handstands in seawater
And to bask in this sun drenched day

I want to cry when things move me
I want to feel, to taste, to touch
I want to giggle like a girl
When something does please me so much

I’m sorry I disappoint you
Sorry I don’t act forty five
But before this life is over
I want to feel vibrant…alive!

Yet, I will try not to shame you
Try to tone it down just a bit
But my dear, this fact you must know
In your box, I surely don’t fit

Yes, you may think I’m 'immature'
And I may act much like a teen
But I’d rather be wild and free
Than captive to rules like a queen."

Mankinds "Friendship"

The dagger of mankind enters my chest

I feel the burn as the flesh is torn open

My insides churn and reveal themselves

As if I am giving birth and mankind is the father

The holy ghost will laugh as this is happening

The spirit of evil embraces tears of his own

These tears are true tears only he feels my pain

He feels the same pain I feel, as he was cast away

Mankind and the ever loving Lord of Light turned their back on him

Evil was shunned and left to die, just as I was

The great villian of time, Mr.Einstein was shunned

This rage fueled him to disrupt the time continuim

As he did to "Old Science", I do to mankind

All I did was speak the truth

The one crying for me now is my only true friend

We have gone to war together without knowing it

Columbus was alone when he wanted to disrupt philosphy

He was alone when he fell off this flat earth

Disrupting the peonic views of "mankind" and paving ways for today

Just as the sun rotated around these same idiots that judge me

Mankind is not ready for the truth that I speak

Only few have heard my words and sought after the truth

Now the sun no longer rotates around the bigotry of man

It rotates around me.......

So enter that dagger into my chest

And thrust it as hard as you can

Join hands with one another to make sure you drive it in

For this is only time that you come together to accomplish

As I await my only tearing friend to take me away from you

My tears I shed are for him....but they are of joy and need

I need his friendship, for it is truth, unlike mankinds........

The Purity of the Human Soul

" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and temperate"
                                          - William Shakespeare

His question ponders through my mind
For he claimed how thou art more beautiful than thee
Enchanting summer with its mother; the sun

For thou are indeed my guide
Thou art my sun that never misleads
Thou art the one person I shan't leave
And shan't wish to be gone by the morning's rise

O treasure deep within my soul
Beam so strong to enlighten my days
Art thou hearing the wonderful tune?
Playing so softly with the rise of the light
But then again thou art brighter than the sun

Thou art the glass of pure water
Emerging from the steep, creamy waterfall
Gleaming sparks attached to your white neck
Purifying the light touching your skin

" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"
Nay, for thou art more beautiful than a summer's day
For if I do compare
The sun shall melt and the wind shall be amazed
By the beauty thou behold
Embedded deep within your soul

Beauty isn't only from the outside, but from the inside; within a soul,
For the outside might just be a disguise, to simply foul one into ambuscades

Internal Sky

As the clouds appeared,
they seemed to turn colors.
Beautiful colors that were violet,
pink, blue, and some with a yellow
sensation that filled the air with
a sweet, sweet smell of summer,
Along with the colored clouds,
There was a breeze that the sun blew,
it seemed that the sun was concentrating
on cooling me off.
The trees did not stir one leaf.
The sun was concentrating on me!
It made me proud, proud to know
someone recognized the pain in me.
The clouds moved on slowly, leaving
a trail of colors in the sky.
My attention rose to the sun, it
had moved as though it had been
shot across the sky by a gun, then
slowly, slowly to its death it dropped.
The stars appeared like diamonds,
the moon a sapphire – they are the
love of the night. I soon went
into the deep sleep of eternity.

Upon this Christmas Day

He sleeps there in a stable
The babe born to the world
Both mother, father watch with care

Though swaddled in a cloth
He is born, yet, to be king
With but just rags for Him to wear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

For within the early morning
Angels brought the sky a voice
Calling forth those who wish to hear

Along then, came all others
Knowing truth within their hearts
That all now have nothing to fear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

Go forth and tell all others
Who had no chance to hear
The news of hope and of the joy

Let them know the Gift of God
That comes to save us all
His son sent as this little boy

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

Angels in The Form of Friends

The road may seem tough right now like an endless uphill climb.
And you may feel that all lifes struggles is one big waste of time.
Everyone around you seems happy and not stressed
Yet each and everyday you can’t help but feel more depressed.

Even though the sun may shine and the day is really bright
All you see is dark clouds looming with only moonless nights.
Looking all around, you see people who pretend to care
And when you wana speak it feels like they wish they weren’t there.

You build up hate and anger and get frustrated with everyone around
You isolate yourself from the world and in your own sorrows you begin to drown.
You feel like you are all alone and there’s nobody that you can rely on
It seems like another endless battle that just can’t be won.

You feel like giving up and so start losing all your faith.
Wishing that your life would somehow end without the entire wait.
This is where you have to believe and restore faith in yourself again
And realize you are not alone, there are many who will help ease the pain.

I know you’ll find it hard to believe that what I’m saying is true
But when the dark clouds break away, the sun will shine right through.
They will make that up hill climb easier for you to take
and then u will find a smooth road that will cause you no more heartache.

They will be there to hug you tight and listen to all you have to say
Even if you don’t wana speak, they will by your side each day.
You don’t have to be alone or pretend that you’re okay.
They can see your fears and help to end the feeling of dismay.

They will never let you go through another difficult path.
But should you cross that way again, they’ll carry you from the start.
So my dear friend, whenever you feel really down.
Remember you have people here to help you keep strong.

They are no superheroes or have powers of any sort.
But they are just ordinary people, who will be here to always support.
They are people who genuinely care and will bring those tears to an end.
Sent with love from God above, they are Angels in the form of Friends….

if YOU CROSSED a FLAMINGO with a DUCK WHAT WOULD YOU GET

A BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER QUIET

‘Tis the infancy of yet another day
And I hear it crying for its bottle now
But I know the sun is no child IN any way
It can be a sadistic son and IT will teach you how

I live under a tunnel on the highway’s right
Yet wrong I MAY ever be
I found an old mattress the other night
so discomfort doesn’t bother me

Today yesterday is but an artifact
An ancient find to hunters of the past
But it seems the sun and Satan have some sort of pact
Alas, whatever it is will probably hold fast

I’m lucky enough to live with my lover
She’s agreed to live free along with me
And often when it rains we needn’t run for cover
The umbrella is our love to be

The term “shelter” means different things for different people I know
Shelter to some might mean a mansion in France
To people like me and my lover “shelter” means just somewhere else to go
Moved by an emphatic embrace and the lives we each enhance

To us rain, cold or snow doesn’t mean we get up and go
It’s the tortuous sun we know will eventually come
So we weather the weather knowing all we need to know
For my lover and I may be homeless but neither of us is dumb

Now let’s get back to the infant son and the fear of it’s adolescence
Because as we know children can often be rambunctious and rude
In the heat of mid-day we suffer an adult son’s insolence
And being fully grown it only treats us kindly when its in the mood

Yellow And Illuminating Brilliance

Out on porch to glimpse a sunrise
Orange sun cast gray 'on clouds
Whispy light airy sparse white clouds
On horizon not like shroud

Then as the sun inched up orange
Disappeared replaced by
Illuminating brilliance clear
Against blue blue sky

Dramatic change for human eyes
I longed to stay awhile
How many didn't even notice
Beauty very worthwhile

Used by Emily Dickinson in many of her works

What people say

As people tell me it shall be alright,
I see the sun bringing forth morning light.
I have to survive this strange twist of fate,
I get up to find I have wiped clean the slate.

The world lately have been a little rough,
I try to be positive but find it is tough.
If I can simply make it through this day,
Maybe the world will start to spin my way.

It’s not that I don’t have enough hope,
It appears like my fate hangs from a rope.
The noose tightens and squeezes out life,
I can’t see the beauty when I’m lost in the strife.

Still I feel I have it much better than most,
I see parts disappear I seem like a ghost.
I take a step forward and two back,
I can’t see what is, only what I lack.

I try to break free yet the world still spins,
I count up the losses and hope for more wins.
A couple kind words and I shall be on my way,
Perhaps I can see life in a different way?

The sun retreat from the vast blue sky,
I look up above to view a lone bird fly.
Into the colors that explode all around.
A curtain of darkness drops without a sound.

After a while it is getting quite dark,
Stars shine like the peace in my heart.
I seem to have survived another day,
I’ll be alright just as people do say.

NATURE

IT'S TIME TO WOKE UP,
IT'S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO FOR WORK,
IT'S TIME FOR BIRDS TO GO IN SEARCH OF FOOD,
IT'S TIME FOR FLOWERS TO BLOOM,
IT'S TIME FOR DARKNESS TO GO,
IT'S TIME TO START A NEW DAY...
IT'S TIME FOR THE SUN TO RISE.

IT'S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO BACK HOME,
IT'S TIME FOR BIRDS TO RETURN,
IT'S TIME FOR FLOWERS TO WITHER,
IT'S TIME FOR DARKNESS TO COME,
IT'S TIME TO SAY BYE A DAY....
IT'S TIME FOR THE SUN TO SET.

Come First Midnight To Bury The Dead

Wander through the trench of bodies,
torch held high, the volley's prose.

Overhead the sun still shown,
heat and radon, Oh';
the bliss alight,
the corpses mount come first midnight.

Thus we take the bodies,
the mountainous trench of bodies,
we take them down from whence they fell
and bury their stories for some to tell.

The laborious task to cleanse the streets,
for come midday the feat repeats;
and come midnight again;
we grab our shovels and bury the dead.

-------------------------------------------

Author notes: As the sun intensifies and summer brings it's heat to bare, I think of the
people without shelter or roof, or shade to hide by. Having to sustain heat stroke by the
minute, all to satisfy the cavalier apathy of those unwilling and incapable of being
bothered by the suffering of others.

Supernova

The heat and radiation
confronts the frustration
our sun grows bright
and the fire dims right
the people stare and wait
scared for there lives "great"
others don't worry about it
smoke a joint and say "doubt it"
I sit here in my room, A/C on
cold as ice and write an con
continue my novel or guitar riff
as others stare at the sun so stiff
but as the last second nears
and the people lose some fears
the sun goes over the horizon
while the people sigh at the Vizion
and then I go outside knowing
I knew something big was growing
then the sky made a silent sound
as the earth made the cold ground
"the calm before the storm" I said
"not this false start again- again"
I was wrong and the sky filled the coda
and the last thing we said was "supernova"

You

Before you came into my life, the sun shined, the breeze blew, the birds flew, and
people mingled. Day after day, I witnessed life's splendor through my window. I had
an urge one day to venture outside my captor. The sun still shined, the breeze still
blew, the birds still flew, people still mingled, and I was life's spectator. Suddenly,
then came you, you entered my life like the sunlight that interrupts the dark, like the
music that fills the silence, like the supernova that brightens the sky. Our hearts
spoke an inaudible language that only two lonely souls know; thus, faith has
become our liberator. Now, we are inseparable. As we frequently strolled through
the ravine, the sunlight paraded her beauty laminating our path, birds gracefully
glided through the air as if they were been choreograph, the summer breeze burst
with fragrance caressing our souls, and consequently we became a part of the
cosmos. like a well-deserved gift that is torn from one's arms, so is my heart, faith
has torn us apart. Instead now, we are kindred spirits separated by distance, so, I
retreat to the familiar to witness life's splendor. The sun shines, the breeze blows,
the birds fly,and people mingle.

This and other things I write

This and other
things I write
By God
of Earth and Eden
In this life
I have a seat
Bitter and sweet
Heavy and light
I will sit for a while
but then I must buckle
for my boat to set sail
into the Island of Light.

I will wrestle and wrestle
despite those of them
who think they know it all.
And to them I must say
'I never forget a face
but in your case
I will be sad to make
an exception'.

Behold!
I have a feeling
Bitter and sweet
Heavy and light
that my life now
has a beautiful meaning
worthy of the struggle
that with my hands
I work and eat
not to steal and smuggle.

I have a feeling
that my heart keeps sight
Of what my mind conceals
my mind tells me I am a knight
so what? I reply. What of it?
My heart is fragile and bleeding
and keeps grist to the mill of it.

I need to read, pray and weep
and my tears are drifting
As the autumn’s leaves
Have fallen and keep falling.
My tears are trickling down
But one day
I will lie down
and be at rest.

After this coming cold winter
I will rise up in the splinter
With my steps up and up
till I find the garden of spring.

My life has a beautiful meaning
In it I have a feeling
Heavy and light
bitter and sweet
always worthy of the struggle.

For as the sun hides behind the clouds
and hides behind twilight
and people on earth wonder
Where has it gone?
What have we done?
The sun comes up with beautiful light
and when the stars sparkle at night
and people down ponder
how far in the sky are the stars?
Those giant eyes looking down on us
They still come up with heavenly light.

My life has a beautiful meaning
In it I have a feeling
Heavy and light
bitter and sweet
and always worthy of the struggle.

Thus, I will keep doing what is proper
I will keep doing what is right and sober
I will keep looking for the invisible fountain
Of love and life even in Parnassus Mountain.

Red Sky Morn

Stormed clouds bringing thunder and rain.
    Howls of wind, singing insane.
Lightening smacks earth, ringing in pain.

Rain drops rap windows, tapping like haunted fingers.
Puddles turn flood, trapping life that lingers.
Booms and flashes snapping the night with stingers.

Red sun rises, shining its kingly glow.
Mother Earth remains painfully quiet, with scratches and scars to show.
She dare not tell on the storm, for the sun can never know...

        Ssshhhh...

If Jesus Asks

IF JESUS ASKS

Dew on the grass
Wants to disappear
As a day wakes up
Frightened by the red eyes of sun.

Again all those men
Will remain tireless
For some more hours.
Sharp arrows from their mind
Defeated-
Distance on the earth,
Boundary of the of universe,
Pride of stars being alone,
Even the game fate plays.
But today’s day is tired.

That green tree
Standing naked in a landscape
Used to
Sunbath during winter,
Play with wind on stormy days,
A born again make up
As spring bade good bye,
Or get drenched in rain
Like a farmer’s son.
Old days have enjoyed them all.
That green tree
No more there,
City’s claw has removed,
Roots of its existence.

Is it only that lonely tree
Has been killed by city life!
Did not you see the tears of ocean!
Her tides,
Like a beloved lady
Wanted to wipe out
All weariness of humankind.
And in exchange
Modern life poisoned her heart
With all its senselessness.

When the day,
Wants to hide her face,
From shame.
Men are still preying,
What else is remaining?
What else is faraway?

When daylight disappears,
They declare
Now penguin’s blood is our subject matter.
Or if this world becomes a bomb in fire
Then we shall hire
Our extraterritorial neighbor
To settle us in space shuttle,
Above the earth atmosphere.
So, the day unwilling to wake up any more.
Only the red eye of sun wakes her up.

Remember how morning birds
Use to sing melodies,
To wake her up.
All that resonance is missing,
As dew fell from leaves to leaves.
Glorious smile of shining water drops
On a lotus leaf
Cry alone now.
Misses how pleasant was twilight’s tune.
In today’s day
Who is there has time for them all.

But every year
There are seminars
To declare
Those entire glorious chapters
Sun, moon, even heaven is not too far.
And many more
All are in the memory of a computer.
But today’s day
Redeye of sun wakes her up.

She doubts,
Are men no more sacred now!
Yes;
May be like polluted water,
As sacred from holy Ganga river.

So one day,
Jesus asks to the heart of mankind,
You have achieved so much,
Your glorious days are here,
Then why you still keep me crucified!
For how many centuries
Shall I remain!

Human child knows age-old answer
‘Its your greatness
To remain there,
So we worship!’

Only red eyes of sun
Wakes another day up.
A day -
No dew falling on her lap.

Ol' Sea Snake's Carriage Ride

Ol' Sea Snake's Carriage Ride

Cobblestones wobble and rock the carriage,
as I circle these streets with Blue Bits and
Derby Boy on this vibrant morning.

With the sun on my back and a salty gale brushing
by, my spirits soar as I imagine what the day will bring.

People come from all over to tour this city,
and soak up it's history and scenic views.

Why not climb aboard my carriage and take
a brisk ride with me on this beautiful day?

As we trot through the historic district, I'll
tell you some of our most scandalous folklores
and show you their shocking locations,
like Copper Moon Ridge, where pirates once
dressed as dames to steal their first good swig
of America's finest moonshine.
It's still pretty darn good!

You'll see the towering cliff views of our granite
lighthouse, whose menacing design has weathered
decades of the ocean's pounding tides.

We'll squeeze in time to feed the beached seals basking
in the sun or catch a rare glimpse of the orca whales
playing in our bay.

If romance is your desire, I'll tool you around in the moonlight,
to our brightest vistas that magnify the star's diamond twinkles.
...Perfect for capturing your lover's passion-heart.
I'll even take a long stroll, just to assure you of your privacy.
 ...Gentleman's honor, I won't take a peek!

If it's fish and chips you seek, we'll head over to
Smacky-Bud's Mackerel Shack for the tastiest fish around.
But I'll be up front with you, don't feed any to Derby n' Bits
or it'll be a long ride back.

So jump aboard and take a ride with this Ol' Sea Snake,
while there's still time.
I'm not getting any younger!

You day-trippers spend too much of your weekly grind
in your lackluster cars.

Come, sit back and unwind for a short time.
I'll sweep you back to the golden age of enchantment,
when hearts would mysteriously merge on a slow-trotting
carriage ride. Memories like these could last you a lifetime!

How To Gain From Our Pain

The sun rises and the sun sets
a new day comes, yesterday forgets
a loving kiss and warm embrace
two souls joined, face to face

Time passes, feelings change
no longer exits, this warm exchange
further on, and still growing more apart
forgetting all that love, they had from the start

Now although they consider to divorce
thoughts of their children cause them remorse
so they make decisions attempting to find a way
to limit any pain, that their children will be okay

Despite their good intentions, they think they know
but only their children feel the pain that will flow
that day finally arrives, the one you were told
it could never happen, it would never unfold

The stark and painful reality, some adults never see
they give up too easily, and for what, just to let egos be
if they only had the wisdom to open their hearts and be free
to learn this meaning called compromise, and make their love agree

Yes, my friend, you're thinking how you relate to the words of this poem
deep down your know you too are a survivor, and that time has shown
you grew up with that pain, asking yourself what purpose was it all for
the answer is clear, do not let it happen to your own as it did to you before

Summer Sun

Flies buzzing around the glass.
Sweet nectar of warm iced tea.
Summer sun on the porch.
Tanning their pale, winter skin.

Side by side they sit,
waiting for it to rain.
Discussing the blue overhead,
without so much as a cloud drifting by.

Up the walk they see him.
Muscle bound as can be.
To shake up two sisters
On a hot summer’s day.

Fanning themselves they smile.
He gives them a seductive grin.
Freeing the shirt from his torso
He begins to mow the lawn.

They flirt in competition
Batting eyes, precious smiles.
Coos in the name of love.
They wonder if he notices at all.

Daddy rolls his eyes in disgust.
Mama smiles at the girls.
She shoos her fawning daughters
into the house to do their chores.

Out the window they peek.
Giggles carry on the summer breeze.
A long hot summer now arrives,
Summer sun shines on the porch.

Much Like the Sun.

You look up to the sky.
It is a normal summer day like any other.
Sparse clouds line the sky and the sun beats down on you.
Except this is no ordinary summer day.
This is the day you ship out.
You have said your good byes and cried with your lovers.
The weight of your country rests upon your shoulders.
It beats down on you much like the sun.
It burns you if you are not properly prepared,
 much like the sun.
Much like the sun you are depended on by all that you known.
 Depended on by your country.
 Much like the sun,
you fade away into the night appearing in a different country

A KISS OF SUNSHINE

People and Nature need sunshine,
it's a free gift God intended for all;
flowers turn to the sun to grow,
while humans seek it to feel fine.

Spring is meant for strolls to admire eloquent beauty,
Summer is the best season for many a beach-goer,
Fall is for the admirers of auburn trees delightful to the eye,
but Winter is for skiers who fear no sun rays on face and hair.

Never seen a woman or girl standing up blowing a kiss in radiant air?
Is it for her sweetheart, or for someone dearly missed as her mother?
She gets carried away thinking that clouds will deliver it to him or her...
either way, it's a gesture of thoughtfulness that shows profound care.

A guy doesn't think as a gal, he differs in thought and action...
he likes to give real kisses, not dream about them so vainly,
and being impatient and unromantic, he misses out on fantasy;
he rarely looks for any sunshine, only for lips that hold attraction.

THE BYSTANDER

On one daring day, when the bruising sun was yet to set
And unfold the opportunities of an anticipated and hopeful day.
A bystander sprouted out from her shell into the dew
Hardly aware of the blindfolds of reality
She set off; ready to feed her eyes what it loves the most, doom!
She is a racy schadenfreude.

Across the street, a mishap called her name
The voice she heeded with race of flashes
To the scene, straining to snap a view for her sight
Alas! She saw the fuss of commotion, and was marveled
She bragged to herself ‘’I’m always on time’’…

A metallic beast had kissed a monstrous millipede
Conveying explosive water, but had unturned and wet the soil.
People were engulfed in steams of smoke
Singing the song of pain and perturbing panic.
The sing-song travelled to her like the gong of a town-crier
The echo drew the bystander closer as she gasped in awe
Her frenzied soul almost ran amok in unpleasant excitement
Her eyes were fixed on her flutter, while ignoring the wet floor she toed.
Just then, a vestige of spark was wafted and veered towards her
In seconds of second, she too was swimming in stream of flame
She whirled out for help but echo ricocheted void
Of abyssal coma, as the day set, the sun smiled as she was bathed to ashes
Then other onlookers after observing the osmosis quickly grabbed her remains
And blew it to the waiting wind
The Man above the earth sniffed it and frowned
‘’Another wasted soul loitering in damnation’’, He muttered.
Then He cried rain down to cleanse others
But as it showers, they stood back gracing the sight
That holds their eyes- the bystanders!

SUMMERTIME BLUES

IT'S BEEN A BUSY SEASIDE SUMMER DAY..
WHILE THE SUN WAS AT IT'S HEIGHT AND BURNING
     UP THE DAY...
ON THE BEACH THEY'RE LAYING AND BASKING
     IN THE SUN...
     SOME TURN A GOLDEN COLOUR..
WHILE OTHERS GLOW A SCARLET RED JUST LIKE
     A STICK OF SEASIDE ROCK...
BEWARE THE UV'S, THERE'S CANCER IN THE AIR..
THE DECK CHAIRS WEAR CONTENTED SMILES WITH
     PEOPLE IN THEIR LAPS..
WHILE AT THE WATERS EDGE THE CHILDREN PLAY..
     DANCING WILDLY IN THE WATER....
     LAUGHING LOUDLY AT THE WAVES....
THE OLDIES ARE OUT THERE PADDLING WHILE TIGHTLY
     HOLDING HANDS..
SHE HOLDS HER DRESS UP TO HER KNEES.
GOD, DO THEY STILL WEAR BLOOMERS..
WHILE OUT AT SEA THE LILO'S FLOAT....
     AND BOBBLE IN THE WAVES..
     FIGHTING WITH THE CURRENTS..
THERE'S A COUPLE WITH A WAYWARD BEACH BALL...
YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN..
AS IT LANDS IN SOMEONE'S PICNIC LUNCH..
ICE CREAM, DRINKS AND CANDY FLOSS..
THE SMELL OF GREASY FISH AND CHIPS..
I'M CRAVING FOR A QUIET PLACE.
THE NOISE AROUND IS QUITE UNSETTLING..
THE SHOUTING, SCREAMING, PEOPLE FALLING OUT
     AND PEOPLE MAKING OUT...
WILL SOMEONE STOP THAT DOG FROM BARKING..
PLEASE GET ME UNDER A LARGE UMBRELLA..
     I'M BURNING IN THE RAYS..
WHILE NEXT TO ME THE RAUCOUS SOUNDING SEAGULLS
     FIGHT FOR SCRAPS OF FOOD..
FOR ALL THE SUN THE DAY IS PASSING BY AND SOON
THE LIGHT WILL GO TO SLEEP..
THE NOISE HAS NOW ABATED AND IS DRIFTING OUT TO SEA..
THE BEACH WILL SOON BE EMPTY AND PEACEFUL ONCE AGAIN..
THE TIDE HAS WOKEN UP AND IS CLAWING BACK THE SHORE..
SLOWLY FIRST THEN WITH A BRUTAL RUSH.
THE CRASHING, FOAMING WAVES LAY WHITENED ON THE BEACH..
A SILENT CHILL IS FELT AS EVENING SLOWLY FALLS..
THERE'S SHADOW'S ON THE PROMENADE AS LONELY JOGGERS RUN..
PUFFING OUT THEIR CHEST'S AND GETTING OUT OF BREATH..
IT'S BEEN A LONG AND STRESSFUL DAY AND I NEED A CUP OF TEA..
     AND A MOMENT TO MYSELF..........

black sun

The sky is red, the sun is black, im riding a roller coaster, but my mind is off track. Theres lots of ups and downs, smiles and frowns, even kings placing crowns on the heads of clowns. But I really don’t care, life isn’t fair, but gods given me a life I can hardly bear, every day I ask him, why cant you share? My life is going, I just don’t know where, because a life like mine is kind of rare. What do I do, while theres love in the air? Other people kiss while I just sit and stare, I look to my left, and theres nobody there, I look to my right, and theres a pair. The clouds are red, the rain is black, I may have left, but ill never be back, but what I can say is, theres nothing I lack. I look at the trees, I look at the sky, but what is the point when I just want to die? Why? Why do I try? When every time I fail, all I do is cry. And how can I be calm when im jealous of every guy? My heart is grounded, while my mind wants to fly, you can guess by what I write, that im also kind of shy, why do I need them? All they do is lie. I try to be nice, but they just punch me in the eye, and when im upset, all they do is pry. The clouds are blue, the sky is white, my mind is racing faster than the speed of light, my life just gets worse, but I still have to fight, why am I like this? Its just not right. Life is taller than me, im not its hight, I fly through the sky, gut still held to the ground, just like a kite, and why are people scared when they know I don’t bite? You can tell my whole life, just by what I write, I sleep during the day, and fly through the night, and im pushing a boulder with all my might. But im getting nowhere, my hands are bare, I love the dark, so give me a scare, I lost my mind and my soul, they were a pair. Sometimes I just sit, sit and think, think that I cant end up in the brink, my mind is empty and cold, like a skating rink, I don’t care if people say I stink, because I already know that im their main link, I have a cup, but nothing to drink, my mind wants to grow while my heart wants to shrink. The water is black, the sun is red, you cant kill something that’s already dead. I jump off the bridge, I take the dive, you cant kill something that was never alive. Im steering my life, but I don’t know how to drive…everything gets quiet when I arrive. I live in a shack, I peek through the crack, and when I look outside, all I see is black…

Turkey

The sun sets over Istanbul
The days are so warm
The nights quite cool
We walk along the bospheros
Hand in hand
Oh what a mystical magical land
The sun The sea The sky so blue
Turkey is the place to be
To make your dreams come true
The people are so friendly
The people really care
Go and visit Turkey
I will maybe see you there

BELSAN

This was written for the Belsan Tragedy....

Mother Earth has completed
the cycle of the sun
Searing agony; blackened dreams
Freewill has been undone

Vivid memories tainted by blood
Megalomaniacs on the prowl,
charging through doorways
Altering course of lives

Masters of predation
Masters of the gun
Masters of deprivation
No need to pull a con

Guns, robes, identity (un) known
Hunted by all
Entrapped by none

Three day of terror
Families' oppignerate
If the sun should rise again
We'll never congregate

Just like Icarius
Who flew from Crete on wings
The sun indeed did rise
Alas! The sea beckoned as well

What was the purpose I wonder,
or am I an ignorant fool?
Multiple lives lost to plunder
Still I say, what was the use?

WALKING ALONG THE BEACH

Walking along the beach on a Saturday morning
I can see the sun smiling from the horizon
The weather is cool and the water is calm
I can feel the gentle hands of sea breeze caressing my face
There are so many people doing different activities
Men and women lying in their shorts and bikinis ready for sun bathing
Young boys and girls in the water swimming and having fun
Little kids on the beach building castle of sand
The dogs are running around barking wildly in excitement
Where ever i look i see beautiful people with smile on their pretty faces
Life seems so perfect just walking along the beach on a Saturday morning.

The Minds Elusive Light

To die, to hope, to love, to give
To fight, to hurt, to want, to live

Life as a star, scorching heat, burning bright
Under the sun, scorching heat, reflecting light

Angels and demons all burn by flame
Illuminated, they are the same

Under the sun, within the mind
We are one, light leaves us blind

Compare and contrast, how long will we last?
Slow to fast, quickly, before we're passed

By our morals, convictions, the sun above
By our zeal, ambition, the moonlight love

Swallowed instead by our stubborn lethargy
Consumed, mislead, by our comatose apathy

Do not rely on the sun to always give
Do not lean on light, life eternally to live

Time is long, life is short, passion even less
Reason can be sound, memory can be stout, the mind can regress

Choices can be wrong, life is short, plans turn to mess
Answers can be found, decision and doubt, chance prone to guess

Spend wisely your brief life, utilize passion to find purpose
Remain fluid and elusive, overcome weakness, pursue your bliss

On evening

On Evening
================
The sun has been trying to move
the loose boughs falling over its face,
in vain.
Out of its front door a road goes
to meet the impatient lady
waiting at the other bend.
Here truths simply interchange.
The myths remain no more myth,
their blending into realities
becomes golden with the sun.
Slowly sun pours itself a stiff liquid…

a bRIDgE OVeR A RIver quiet

A BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER QUIET

‘Tis the infancy of yet another day
And I hear it crying for its bottle now
But I know the sun is no child anyway
It can be a sadistic son and it will teach you how

I live under a tunnel on the highway’s right
Yet wrong I may ever be
I found an old mattress the other night
so discomfort doesn’t bother me

Today yesterday is but an artifact
An ancient find to hunters of the past
But it seems the sun and Satan have some sort of pact
Alas, whatever it is will probably hold fast

I’m lucky enough to live with my lover
She’s agreed to live free along with me
And often when it rains we needn’t run for cover
The umbrella is our love to be

The term “shelter” means different things to different people I know
Shelter to some might mean a mansion in France
To people like me and my lover “shelter” means just somewhere else to go
Moved by an emphatic embrace and the lives we each enhance

To us rain, cold or snow doesn’t mean we get up and go
It’s the tortuous sun we know will eventually come
So we weather the weather knowing all we need to know
For my lover and I may be homeless but neither of us is dumb

Now let’s get back to the infant son and the fear of it’s adolescence
Because as we know children can often be rambunctious and rude
In the heat of mid-day August we suffer an adult son’s insolence
And being fully grown it only treats us kindly when its in the mood

the otherside

Sometimes life is okay
Okay to be normal
Okay to be average
These are my Black and white days
My days that marked black and white
Sometimes it’s alright to be okay
Sometimes it’s okay to be alright
Sometimes it’s okay to be alike

He’d clean the parking lot
He really didn’t ask for a lot
He walked with the rain
Drenched he didn’t complain
He lived in a tent
Really was the last to comment
He didn’t play the blues
It was just another day without shoes
He didn’t need faith to know his place
He never mumbled
Pick up debris and marked subtly

Now Jon-boy saw the sun rise
He saw the sun set
He was thankful for whomever he met
He went to help a man in a nice suit and tie
He lie there on the pavement begging to die
As he reached out the man nearly cried
Leave me alone you stupid man
I don’t need help from homeless dude
To help me stand
His days were never saddened
But sadly on this day it had to happen
She saw a broken man
She took his hand
She and her purple curls
She was right there where you were

She told him
Sometimes life is okay
Normality’s alright
but it’s okay to be average
And if average isn’t enough
Then it’s alright to be normal
These are my black and white days
My days that are marked black and white
Sometimes it’s alright to be okay
Sometimes it’s okay to be alright
Sometimes it’s okay to be alike

She said
It’s the spool of yarn life strings you
The value of having less
This image before you is surviving stress
Why are you trying to cripple me with time
I’ve shaded blinds
Sang through chimes
Stepped away from my mind
A time or two
Made giants fall
Hugged empty walls
Picked myself up
and once more crawled
I’ve prayed and failed
I’ve failed and not prayed
I’ve seen the spoils of belief
I’ve been full and never got enough
Been hungry and could not eat
Been clean and messed up sheets
Been impure and could not sleep

"been on the other side of a persuaded mind"

Reality onto a Bright Sunshine

Like the bright sun in the heavenly sky,
Thy presence enlights mine everyday path.
Eyes of angels and smile that makes shy
He who fall onto its trap like a strath.
I dare'd not look beyond thy dainty eyes
For I fear seeing them for the last time.
Yet, I am feeling the near broken ties
Which hold us together for a lifetime.
Perhaps 'tis the last time I'll hold you close
Enough to feel our harmonized heart.
I Refuse to make the same gaffe and chose
To touch thy lips with mine before we part.
Only to open my eyes to bright beam
Of the morning sun from a lucid dream

Blue Bird

Blue Bird

All alone inside of my magical little paradise called my mind is an peaceful and quiet, the sun is like a gentle kiss on the cheek, and the people are just so warm and friendly but watch out because if you open your eyes everything you once knew will be gone. This magical little realm has an bloody little twist to it. The sun that was once as comforting as an warm blanket was in fact the glistening moon and the empty black sky, and the people are now all blood thirsty monsters that are no longer affected by the sun light are now out for blood.

I run to escape the sickening but yet oh so enticing scent of blood and failure, I run to escape the screams of those who's lives were cut just too short, and I run to escape the sight of the undead, blood thirsty zombies who are on the hunt for others to join their group. I'm running, running to safety and security but all the time there's nothing but pit falls and traps. I'm running and success isn't that far away but just then I see prince charming I stop and become distracted by his promising words but just then he too becomes a monster. I scream and try to run but I just can't you trap me in fire and I can't escape.

My mind goes numb, I can feel the darkness further enclose around me, my mind goes blank, and I forget about everything. On the inside I'm screaming, fighting, kicking to get away but on the outside I'm a love sick puppy. I know I'm stronger than this but there's something about you that I just can't get over. Just as the darkness seems to grow closer an light appears and an blue bird fights off my nightmare monster and takes me back to my snowy paradise where I'm safe and at peace and I continue my lonely dark and cold path to my brightly lite future with the little blue bird by my side reminding me that I am and will forever be loved by both my family, people who actually care about me, and god.

Singing in the sun

Some birds sing in the sun
Others sail through storms
Some folks were born to have fun
Others to slave in many forms

As I sit on this stone of introspection
Staring into the pool that is the world
Do I see the reflection of success
Or just another form of madness?

Crimsworth Dean

Crimsworth Dene

Light relieved land stamped down and raised mounds and hidden folds, revealed the valley’s follies, farms and sunken rivers.

The bright afternoon eye-level sun painted radiance on the dead leaves’ shimmer, rainbowed the waterfall’s joyful spray, and drew eyemotes floating into dancing stars against the sheeted blue.

Outward away past the framed horizon, the sillhouetted church, the tiny Pike, crepuscular shafts healed the broken air and the shining clouds glowed.

The ancient ruin of a farmhouse still holds the ghosts of lovers that once longed across the valley’s gape, forbidden to cross. They rest somewhere near, whilst their dreams still fall towards the river where today, the clough throws its soul-drops over Lumb Falls. Follow the water, and the stream for an instant, becomes brief despariing citizens of the beck hurling themselves, flying and dying to join the river-republic of the hereafter and tumble on ecstatic to the sea.

The central beam, the backbone of the farm, cracked and snapped one day and still rests piercing the floor, now boggy grass. Where the foxgloves towerin early summer, the moss has taken over the lease and the sheep shelter in what is left of the larder and the parlour. Somewhere under the boulders, the bedroom continues to rot , and where their passion lived, the sun now lures weeds towards itself, rising and falling through the centuries.

Where Else Would I Be?

Author Note: When reading, picture the beauty of a setting sun at sea.

Steadfast,
surveying in appreciation the mastery of creation.
A kaleidoscope of color, blends one into another,
producing varying intensities,
fluid,
wispy,
in the aftermath of sun setting;
a vision,
a rustic portrait of my vessel rushing,
as to prolong this rare site.

Water mimics glass,
nary a ripple before me;
changes to chaotic in my wake.

I am enchanted by the feast placed before me,
fortunate among men to bear witness.

This portal between heaven and earth,
this is my place.
I am a sailor, where else would I be?

THEY'LL RISE AND SHINE

The monster rose out of the sea,
Intent on devastation.
The wreckage it left in its wake--
Beyond imagination!

The world looks dark and dismal, now.
Heartbreak, on every hand.
A world of rubble and debris,
Where once was sun and sand.

But this night is not forever;
There will dawn a brighter day.
The Gulf Coast sun will shine again,
And drive the gloom away.

We'll rally 'round and lend a hand,
For we're all kith and kin.
We'll work upon the fallen things,
Till they're rebuilt again.

The human spirit will prevail.
When this tribulation's done,
This land will rise up from its ruin,
And gleam in a new day's sun.

Exhalted

I saw the Sun and the Moon take a stance in the universe.
And an unknown Star placed over them was put in charge.
The whole entire inhabitants scattered themselves at large.
And all the lands and seas became separated by a diverse.

The Sun Shined brightly in the west never to set in a curse.
The Moon gleamed fully bright to the east as the surcharge.
The door had been widely opened and many came by barge.
The stress was great because the world went into a reverse.

Fate and destiny was being dished out like a deck of cards.
Skies lit up and the Stars came back out like never before.
And the palm trees took up to the seas like standing guards.
And from this stemmed growth from that one opened door.

The Sun and Moon are exalted above and beyond you all,
And so is the Star in charge of those that flaw in its thrall.

Chemical Sun

Bad deal today, at times confusing but always harsh.
I may be lying in the mud, but I’m starring up at the stars.
Catching my flight to bliss, trying to ease the pain.
Watching from my semidetached state, the city flame into day.

Chemical sun rising over me, burning pure truth.
I think I’m falling apart again, but you always help me through.

Everyone was on me all day, now its over and I’m audi.
The flaming fury of the day, slowly going out across the city.
Mysteriously beautiful night, I just wish she could see,
through all the floating thoughts, just what’s happening to me.

Chemical sun rising over me, burning pure truth.
I think I’m falling again, and I believe its for you.

You’re so open, never fronting, always straight.
Talking inhibitions, and decisions about soul mates.
We are now, not tomorrow, these thoughts are not ours to think.
I truly know your pain, sweet Isabelle, you don’t have to speak.

Cool Breeze

Today I saw an old woman, gaunt and brown from sun exposure,
Her legs were thin from walking round and round downtown Nashville,
My stomach dropped.
Six months ago I saw the same woman walking in the winter in a hand me down
coat and shorts,
I walked up to her and said, “Do you need any money?”
She cursed me and started talking to herself.
I asked her, “Listen, let me pray with you and I’ll get you some help!”
She cursed me again and started rolling her head around in circles.
I wanted to grab her, but I knew that would make it worse.
I went to my car, and screamed at the top of my lungs, “Lord Jesus heal that
Woman!!”
And I knew in that moment that I would never see her again.
I knew in that moment that God would intervene.
I knew in that moment that someone would get her on some meds.
Someone who she trusted would get her on some meds.
I knew in that moment that someone would call 211 and connect her with Social
Services.
I knew in that moment that someone would care enough to grab her and
say, “You are free in the name of Jesus!”
And everything would be alright.
Today I saw an old woman, gaunt and brown from sun exposure,
And my stomach dropped.

This morning I got a call from US Bank.
I answered the phone and the man said, “You owe us $500”
I said, “How can that be?”
He said, “Your co-signor has been delinquent for 5 months”
I remembered the love I had for my friend when I co-signed for his loan.
I remember knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt that he would not be
delinquent on that loan.
And my stomach dropped.

This morning I weighed myself.
I had been diligent,
I had worked hard.
I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I had lost weight.
The scale showed that I had gained 4 pounds.
My stomach dropped.
And I began to writhe in shame and guilt that while people were dying of cancer
and aids,
And black men killed each other in rage,
That while people lost loved ones,
And writhed in old age,
That I should be subtly suicidal over a 4 pound weight gain.
I cursed the imbalance in my head.
That left me so keenly susceptible to the vicissitudes of life.
And I forced myself to brush my teeth.

Today, I thought to myself, “Where is the proof?!”
What proof do I have that someone, somewhere, has some concern for us?!
I suppose the only proof that I have in this moment is the cool breeze on this
summer day that comforts my soul.

Forgotten By Them All

Far from the set...
The sun still drowns;
Where land meets end,
And the light still bounds.
A sound that carries...
For an echo so faint;
Leaves ears to dance,
And dreams in the wait...

The long lost rant...
Forgotten by them all.
In front of me so distant,
The surroundings seem to fall;
While within this rising smoke,
A soul sits in refuge...
And the mist that consumes,
Never leads to what ensues...

As fate recons,
We're unlikely to forget...
A world upon these shoulders,
And a life without regret.
While the sun drifts to down...
As the street lights shine;
A world lays to rest,
While the rest look to find...

Searching for something worth remembering,
Or at least not to miss;
Just some words for recollecting,
Until this story fits...
For these memories seem curses,
Taunting my world so very small...
Nothing worth holding onto here,
Destined to be forgotten... by them all.

The Ducks Are Free

Within my sight of ocean breeze
I see the curve of earth and sea
The little ducks as they walk about
A show of wings for a simple handout.
White clouds pass, subtle and calm
Giving rest to the sun upon the kiddie pond
The sunlight twinkles as the children play
Together they're dancing within the waves.
Here comes a duck with questioning eyes
A piece of bread or even some pie?
Bikinis and trunks play in the sand
Not one of them lovers, not one holding hands.
This all seems distracted as in playful dispute
The beach is so quiet, maybe they're mute
The glare of the sun brings me back to my write
I see the seagulls attacking a kite.
Although the beach I thought serene
This one corrects me of all I have seen
Only the ducks seem peaceful to know
Their questioning eyes and hunger side show.
The people are sad or poor I bet
To come to this beach, in silence get wet
If this is the price of the beach for me
I'll come for the ducks, the ducks are free.

Swamp Idyl

Somewhere off by a stream,
an old Rabbit told a tale
to his forty eight grand kids
and great grandkids,
Under the sunny sun they sat,
the oldster under the shade of a willow,
all of them had honey and bread,
each waiting to hear the tale.
A Butterfly floated lazily by,
and a Mockingbird chirrupped in the ferns.
Momma Rabbit called on out,
and the oldster said
"No, stay awhile!"
so the mummy Bunny sat on down,
in the mossy grass by the stream,
folding her floral apron neatly.
No cloud in the sky disrupted the tale,
and the forty eight little ones
all were smiling,
the mummy Bunny was too,
as the day slowly went by.
The Mockingbird came to listen,
as did Ole Mister Tortiose,
and Stork Dan,
who came with Panther Rose,
who was always with Cub Fen,
And Fen's friend Hawk Clay,
who carried in his claws Snail Clem,
who begged Adder Serpenz to help,
and soon all of the Swamp was there,
to here the oldster's fine tale,
under the sun in the glade by the stream,
with the breeze so gentle
and the grasshoppers buzzing,
until the story was done.
When it was done, the rest were gone,
but little Snail Clem was still trying to go,
so the oldster picked him up,
and took him to the water's edge,
set him there and took up his cane,
and walked away in the woods,
still telling himself the tales of old.

Citizen on Patrol

It’s 5am, and the alarm clock screams
As I reluctantly open my eyes
Starting my day with a regimented routine
Before the sun even begins to rise.

As I dawn my vest and uniform of blue
And pin the silver badge upon my chest,
I pray that I return home safely to you
And yes, I promise I will do my best.

Some call me a hero, others call me a pain
Because I’ve sworn to protect and serve,
They think that I do it for some kind of gain
Not realizing that it takes a lot of nerve.

To stare into the face of a person with a gun
Praying you don’t have to pull the trigger,
I can certainly tell you that it isn’t fun
And there’s a lot of emotional rigor.

Sometimes I feel like I can’t do it anymore
As I kiss my wife and walk out the door,
But then I realize that I’ve given my pledge;
To face all hardships and walk that razor edge.

It’s 5am, and the alarm clock screams
As I reluctantly open my eyes
Starting my day with a regimented routine
Before the sun even begins to rise.

TASTING THE WARMEST RAIN

Spring, as always, has mild days of sun and clouds,
and in between, it sends down the thinniest rain seemingly blue;
I'm blessed to taste it as it runs down the mounds,
below the hazy town seems empty almost vanishing fron view.

The further I go down, the closer I see the unrhythmic streets:
people walk as ghosts wearing broody faces as they hold umbrellas made for giants;
there's the highway that'll take me home, where snow alters landscapes and sounds,
but tasting the warmest rain compliments me for the lack of cheers.

Several thirty-story skyscrapers will block the sun from shining free,
this southern town, hidden among mountains, has known poverty;
the unemployed and young want jobs despite change and monotony;
they, too will taste the warmest rain and will dream of an age of prosperity.

Imagine

Imagine, for a moment, that you have 3 roses. All the same color, all the same size and shape. All of them clones of each other. You bought these flowers as seeds, and are growing them on your windowsill. Now imagine, that each of these flowers were people. One of your flowers is first world people, another is second world, and the last flower is third world people. You grow these flowers, giving them water and sunshine, soil and love. If we raise our flowers equally, than why do we not raise our people equally? Why do we put our first flower in a big pot, while putting the third flower in a cup? Why do we put the first flower in the sun with excessive water, when the third is in the shadows getting no water? Why do we do this when we could simply put all the flowers in pots, out in the sun with equal water? Why do we treat the flowers differently when they are all the same? Why give some less love than others? Why be so mean? Why so cruel to these people? We are all alike. All needing the same amount of love. So why give some less? Now imagine. Imagine we treat our flowers the same. Give them equal love. Imagine all the starving and dieing, gone. Imagine we were to all treat our flowers the same. Does that sound so hard? Imagine fixing your drooping flower. Turning its brown leaves green. Making a difference. Imagine if everyone took a step in the right direction, if we combine the steps, imagine all the flowers that would be healed. Imagine.

BOOMERANG

Brittannia ruled the waves,they said
My old school atlas,dotted red;
Cricket its multi-national game
Pageantry & fair-play its claim to fame;
Governed by the privileged few
English,said & written its glue.
AN EMPIRE ON WHICH THE SUN NEVER SETS !

Now six decades further on
Its colonial power foever gone;
A damp offshore Atlantic island
Sinking slowly,in PC quick-sand;
Multi-cultures of its past,now abound
Each language of its Empire, here is found.
AN ISLE ON WHICH THE SUN LESS OFTEN GETS !

Life Comparison

Life is like a piece of chocolate because your heart melts when you eat it.
It's like that because in every box there's differen't flavors, shapes and sizes you
can chose.
You could chose how you want to live you life but there's going to be times when
you have to choes what's good and what's bad.
Chocolat is sweet and pure which is something that most people perfer.
Except the sun because the lucious sweet chocolate sits in the sun melting away
but making the sun happy becaue he succeded in destroying what most people
perfer.

Young Love

June 17, 2006

How sweet, how serene,
Delicate inside a core,
A flower I have bore.
Such a magnificent scene!

Blossoms in bloom are what you bring.
I couldn’t ask of you for much more,
I even find you shining on the Seashore.
You make my heart dance and sing!

The Sun shines down on me,
And the Moon leads my way.
The Stars shine and I can see,
A beautiful Sun shiny day!

You come from somewhere up above,
Tender in my heart is a Young Love!

Laughter roams

My face, pushed hard against
the glass. So near to the exploding
life beyond the veins of lead.
Every now and then, the sun smiles
and crystals shine between us.
Everyone, in contagious colored clothing
permanent cracks, padlocked to their jaw.
Every year, when the light is greedy
I am left predicting your arrival.
As if, from some humid mist you'll waltz
across the thirsty glades. Kiss my skin
the sun embraced.
Yet every year, eyes braced to life
outside. Laughter roams the street,
I cry.

As I pass through Life

As I pass through

As I pass through life,
I see different colors,
different smells, different
sounds and different taste.
Nothing ever be the same,
The roads get rockier and stiffer
as I pass through each time.
The sky never stays gray all the time,
The birds don’t always sing, the grass don’t always green,
and the people don’t always stay the same.
It’s sad to see how the birds stop flying,
How things stop sparkling, and how life
don’t stay as bright as it used to. People come
and go, hence people move on everyday. The days are not
always cloudy, and the sun don’t always shine.
Everything under the sun is just vanity because as you pass
through things come and go, they never last a lifetime.
Therefore as you pass through life no matter how it is, make sure
you pass with care, and make sure you learn from everything
under the sun. Because as you pass through something change.

How Beautiful is the Sun

The warmth of the sun as it shines upon my face not only makes my face glow,
but it also helps my gloomy heart to radiate a soft aura.
How intense and powerful this star we call the sun.
As it slowly seeps up over the horizon from the East, it already begins its
marvelous shimmer. The radiant reds, fiery oranges, and even a touch of
yellow- for good measure.
Once it is risen from the horizon level it is so majestic,
How it mirrors over the ocean and along the beach. It continues to rise overhead,
while we scurry about our day and hectic lives.
We take its energy and light for granted not even thinking twice about if it were not
there.
Yes I believe sunrises are so special, but have you seen the brilliance of colors
in the sky when it is time for the sun to set.
They say if the sun is setting over the water you can hear it hiss.
As for me I would like to think it is true.
Some of the most beautiful sunsets occur over the water with pretty shades of
pinks, peach, and not to mention those purple colors. The way the colored
clouds seem to signal the end of another glorious day of light from our intense
star, the sun.

Coal Miners

From sun up to sun down, they worked all day,
but down in that hole they always slaved,
light from a lantern, is all they had,
and quitting time really made them glad.
Coal dust covered them from head to toe,
and year after year it hurt them so.
No other jobs could be found back then,
Sons, and fathers, enemy, and friend.
Safety standards were not the best back then,
time was the enemy of the coal miner men.
Cave-in's were common in that cold wet tomb,
where they spent their days, surrounded by gloom.
Times have changed, things are better today,
but still they are in danger, no matter how safe.

The Rainbow Behind My Back

He never came around much, and never stayed too long.
Carried a vial of whiskey in a paper sack, sang a song.
But this day was special, my heart was so alive.
I carried a sack too, with candy, today I'm five.
He had said, "Come on son, let's go to town, get a treat."
Joy filled my little being. I felt all of ten feet.
Wrapped me a suck in my sack, cherry, my favorite kind.
As he slugged away on his bag, I slued away on mine.
My little legs, nearly running, three steps to his one.
But the sun was shining, we were together, father and son.
He spoke little that I could understand. About dreams lost.
Said I should follow the rainbow, forget the cost.
He said "life is short, pleasures few, so have a good time."
We followed the path through the woods, his hand in mine.
We walked beside the railroad track, till the sun dipped low.
How far? Five or six miles- couldn't tell, didn't know.
My short legs were aching, but I never complained.
For in the distance, I could hear the approaching train.
He sat me on a rack and said, "Let's rest a spell."
He was getting tired too, from his walk, I could tell.
As the clamor of the train grew louder, I became excited.
"I'll see the train up real close", I said delighted.
It grew louder and louder, till it was all I could hear.
I laughed aloud, looked at pop. On his face was a tear.
He jumped, ran to the passing train, lunged into an open door.
I screamed and cried "Don't go!", but never saw him anymore.
His crumbled bag lay on the ground, a memory at my feet.
He had said, "Lets go to town, get a treat."
I threw my bag on the ground, all the sweets spilled out.
At five it was only candy, but it was my life no doubt.
Belief, trust, hope, faith, love, burst forth onto the ground.
I sat there on my rock and cried, till the sun went down.
Then with a tear stained face i turned to follow the railroad track
Knowing all the while, there was a rainbow,
Somewhere behind my back.

VERSES AND RHYMES

The sun comes up, the sun goes down-
The moon always follows-round and round,
A girl comes out the door homeward bound,
So walking to her car she is found.

I've always wanted to make a rhyme,
Where the right word came all of the time,
With this silly ditty, I'll bet you a dime
That everything I wanted turns out fine.

I've always loved a lovely verse-
Ever since I became a nurse,
And all of my patients loved to hear
All of my caring words of cheer.

When patients are sick and lay dying-
Their families stand around crying,
All they ever wanted to hear,
Were words of courage and good cheer.

And now I am seventy and four,
No more do I have to do these chores,
But I'll be making verses and rhymes,
Until I'm at the end of my time.

Flavor

Caramel,Vanilla, and Chocolate,
As sweet as sugar,
Melting when the sun touches it,
Smooth and warm,
More than a mouthful.

Glistening in the sun like a beautiful horizon,
Looking like drops of sugar when it melts,
I enjoy kissing and touching it,
Some even love to squeeze it,
I love my Caramel, Vanilla, and Chocolate skin.

Little Conversations

A running conversation stood catching it's breath
on the hill of decision, on the day of it's death
In an effort to stop the inevitable flow
of the moon in it's belly on a mission to grow
It stepped to the edge of the hill and transpired
with verbiage gone ancient and aching for fire
It stood up on tiptoes and opened it's mouth
to let the sun in, or to let the moon out
This running conversation was made up of air
and moods of the moment and bent silver hair
which reflected the sun in an effort to stir
all the things that it loved while he motioned to her
It took a look down to the Pool of Dissolve
and felt the earth shimmer within it's revolve
In an effort to keep conversation alive
it trampolined toes into a swan dive.

When The Day Is Done 2

Tell me what do you really have to lose when you come and accept in your heart,God’s son?
Don’t you think that this is much better, than burning in hell, a place so much hotter than the very sun?
Life can offer us so much more than we can handle it in too many unfortunate moments of our life
Sometimes we can’t see things clear and that’s when we can make more mistakes and find in our way more pain and strife.

It seems there are so many choices in our life, and more things to choose from all the time, everyday
So be watchful and choose everything very carefully, as you find sometimes your way.
Every day the sun raises high, but sometimes the sun hides and heavily falls only rain
In every blade of grass dews shine and in every roses petals love awakes and hopes then reigns.

Time passes painfully slow sometimes, time watches and never ever stops for you me nor anyone.
Reflections of bygone days are great, when people and times were a lot kinder than what we have today.
Life is good and bad too, do you want it more good than bad, well, that’s the choice you have to opt for.Make it right!Make it worthwhile!
Why don’t you give something instead of taking for a change, give a word of encouragement give away your smile.

Life wasn’t ever meant to be just fine and see love and smiles on everybody’s hearts, eyes and face
The world is not just like that in real life, and our life is not even balanced most of the time, any place
People everywhere just grab and take all them can,but there's still hope, even when most people seem not to care
And as I look at the glow fading fast thru my window, clouds with their arms high, gather up lovingly, all the remmnants,of the days glare!

I'll Be With You

I don't know much about lies
But I know this much is true,
That the key to my heart
Belongs to you.
Cause in the dark of the night,
It would always be your light
That brought me to a new day
I may have never knew.

And when the storms came
The sun became your smile,
Even though the skies were gray
You were shining all the while,

When the other people turned away
You looked at me and dared to say,
"You'll no longer be out here all alone,

Cause I'll be with you."

Even though I wasn't perfect,
Even though I wasn't smart,
You looked past all of those faults,
And saw straight into my heart.
And even though I was so worthless,
Even though I was the one to blame,
You didn't even care at all,
And my troubles washed away in the rain.

And when the storms came
The sun became your smile,
Even though the skies were gray
You were shining all the while,

When the other people turned away
You looked at me and dared to say,
"You'll no longer be out here on your own,

Cause I'll be with you."

Yeah!

My pain is gone
My heart is new,
And I feel happy

Cause I am with you.

Breathe the Beach

Brown berry skin all covered in sand
White ribbon hair with pale yellow ends
Salty in smile, a grin to the wind
Children born unto the sea
Plastic pail castles with driftwood for flags
Shells clink and clankle in white paper bags
Noon is a time warp that stretches and drags
the sun 'till it snaps ricochet
Boats flying by us with cursive pun names
Dolphins below them in bubbling games
Cameras snap photos in permanent frames
all in the blink of an eye
Brutal the afternoon people to bake
Some soaking sun sleep, and some wide awake
All with a vigor the sea breath to take
to carry it's purity home.

Inheritance

Out by the wall; scattered seeds of my youth
fighting to grow against the wind.
And out in the distance; perched, two upon the gate,
The bluebirds begin to sing:

Take me to the castle garden
where the sun forever covers the plants,
where darkness never enters
and where all the people dance.
Take me to the castle garden,
the place you enter in your dreams,
where loved ones lives are never ending.
Reality; stems from your dreams

Now, I remember walking hand in hand
with my father, to the lake.
In his eyes, I could hear him saying
hearts are never made to break.

But, now, now that I am a man
I finally realize
those important words he was saying
when I looked into his eyes:

Take me to the castle garden
where the sun forever covers the plants,
where darkness never enters
And where all the people dance.
Take me to the castle garden,
the place you enter in your dreams,
where loved ones lives are never ending.
Reality; stems from your dreams

Life's Femininity

The leaves falling green
Couple the wind as they
Tumble by.
Dust rises and fall
With the whistle of the lips of
Branches in trees
And stand amazed.

The sun shining bright
Permeates the flight of migrating birds
Their wings flap in perfect harmony.
They sing the song of a new day.
At the sight of you,
I hold my head to the rhythm
Of cars passing so to catch a glimpse of you.

Radiant as the sun
You come
Sweeping by;
Rays of light touch your glory,
And the sun comes shining
Through.

As you move to the rhythm
Of the folding grass
Beneath your feet,
And touch the meadows dew

The leaves fall against
The rhythm of the trees
As they bow to your
Anticipation.

Your Light

Your beauty makes the sun jealous of you
The earth wants to keep you for her own
The light of the moon shines only over you
While the seas crest in your very direction

Your beauty makes the sun jealous of you
It feels pallid in your very presence
It cannot compete with the shine you emit
It is lacking and wanting your very essence

The light of the moon shines only over you
Casting a luminary spotlight on your being
It, too, wanes in comparison to your glow
It is from your light that everyone is seeing

While the seas crest in your very direction
The universe seems to revolve around you
Making you the center of everything good
Celebrating you, your light, the truth

Man of the Hour

The man of the hour;
The beast of the bed;
Incur their delusions;
From the land of the dead.

The faithful the loyal;
The ministering choir;
All morn with such sorrow;
At the pain that transpires.

The pain and regrets;
The scandalous ways;
Beliefs seeming hopeless;
The bad had its day.

Down on the corner;
Bobbing for pills;
Are the quick and the nimble;
And those who are ill.

From sun up to sun down;
And most of the night;
The hustle stays current;
They think they are right.

If you’re filled with the street;
But you know something’s wrong;
When you look to who love's you;
Do you worry they're gone?
