Sea Bride

Across the white sand waters
meld of teal and turquoise hue,
in sunlight, emerald facets,
in shadow, grays of blue,
first breaking light of heaven,
tinted sky in tones of shell,
dancing lights, pearl pink and saffron,
fleck the bosom of the swell.
On waves of crisper coral
the majestic sun ship sails,
bright bride aflame in glory
blushed beneath her misty veils.
Such beauty blinds my vision;
my gaze is downward drawn
to vanilla foam soft swirling
in the footprints of the dawn.

When The Sun Sets

When the sun sets, The stars shine with no regrets. Darkness fills the air, The moon gives light with every care. The darkness is easier to walk through, Every light shining is so pure and true. Guidence forever are the stars in the sky, With them we find our places lifted so high. Forever is the moon to cast light upon us all, We become encouraged to stand firm and tall. The stars shine with no regrets, When the sun sets.

When the sun sets, Shining its powerful light it never forgets. Though light fades to darkness, It comes about with alertness. Shadows before the eye can see, The little shining light is enough to set us free. Sometimes we are afraid to walk alone in the dark, From which we were given a caustic remark. Guidance Forever is the changing of dark and light, It helps us to be strong and make one last fight. Forever are the shadows lurking at every turning point, If we give in it is ourselves we disappoint. Shining its powerful light it never forgets, When the sun sets.

When the sun sets, The sky is filled with wonderful colors that the ocean reflects. All the animals of the sea, Come forth creating a musical harmony. The waves crash upon the shore, Washing up new sand to the ocean floor. Its a beautiful site to see, The ocean sounds are calmingly free. Who's to say the ocean isn't peaceful get away, Its a calming place to relax and stay. The sky is filled with wonderful colors that the ocean reflects, When the sun sets.

Wherefrom Enlightenment Dwells

To define innocence in the
countenance of a child's smile
and love's eminence in wildflowers,
conceive infinity in exalted ocean's roar
whilst summer breezes glance splendor
flourishing jasmine and hummingbirds
amidst evermore expansive sunrises,
whence space and time ceases to exist
thereupon shall enlightenment dwell

Hill Top Prayers

I can see the past glory, though it is humble now and all the more reverent....

With thoughts of deep ocean bliss, that comes with fading hope, I walked along the tide line, no longer able to cope. I stared at the setting sun, its brightness, burns the eyes. I glanced back at the sand stone cliffs, where a building caught my eye. I don't recall it being there, when I traveled the cliff top path. I shrugged my shoulders then turned back, to the ocean and waiting death. I take a step towards my fate, when I feel a tap upon my shoulder. I turn to see who is there, all I see is sand and boulders. My eyes are called to the top and to that small building. Something there outweighed my need, so up the cliff path I started walking. There upon the windswept crest, were trees leaning with the wind. I followed the overgrown stone walk, to the building, just round the bend. The steeple leaned, but still spoke volumes. No stained glass to catch the sun. No bell to call folks to service, no roof, as the rot had won. Yet a charm was there to see, strength came from the ancient stones, that made up the four standing walls, of this Chapel, now just bones. I made my way to the entrance, amid dead leaves, the scrag that enfolds. I felt a welcome pour over me, as I crossed over the threshold. The setting sun cast long shadows, that all pointed toward the alter. My need, took me down the aisle. Not once did my feet falter. There He was, looking down, from a weather beaten cross. His countenance both pain and love, I suddenly felt small and lost. The sun sank deep into the sea, and gave its final flair. Within that light I swear I saw, His face lift, so he saw me there. I fell to my knees and I prayed, as I had never prayed before. I prayed for guidance and His love, I felt both, to my very core. I visit that Chapel, now and then. It's still crumbling with time. But, to me it has more glory now, than it did when its bells did chime.

Deep ocean tune

Water droplets become liquid pearls, delicately balanced on milky white petals
Crowning gems sparkling jewels mist under lashes gleam

The beautiful white yellow sunlight all visible wavelengths of light refraction
Fluttering a rainbow promise under the bridge colors bright

The goddess of fertility, wealth and comfort her name Dana-Ana
A crowning beauty sings whom stands in every dream

Sitting on deep rocks a treasure who combs every feeling
Sea cradled her and she heard Neptune whisper .... so beautiful you are

With golden glowing fingers of emotions held captivated in her rays
Filled with warm love when evening shadows and stars turns out in the sky

A Starry Shade of Night

Love forever eludes me perhaps because it flies on angelic wings
And yet my earth bound body is beneath the weight of gravity
Its like following a rainbow to an end I'll never see
Or like chasing the horizon as it falls away from me
Will I ever find that pot of gold and embrace a warm sunset
With my heart on sandy shores beneath a sky I won't forget
To become envious of the moon as it illuminates her face
Gently dancing across her skin as it adorns with utter grace
Then inhale the scent of beauty as her lips press next to mine
As I watch the midnight sky reflect inside her radiant eyes
                and in her starry shade
              Of dim and solitary loveliness
I learn’d the language of another world
That I found deeply within one kiss

Ocean Cry

The quiet walk upon the shore,
The quiet need for something more.
The quiet cry of some seagull,
The rowing of a boat that is halfway full.
The putt putt of a motor,
spraying out of water.
The soft, grainy sand beneath my feat,
The geese flying south in V shaped fleet.
The light spray of water upon my face,
The Great Big Blue ending in a trail of lace.
The light green grass swaying in the breeze,
The cooling air gives you so much ease.
      Oh tell me now,
      Oh tell me when,
whenever shall I see you again?

deep ocean

falling dew
one token
drops of happiness
a foundation
for dreams
Your light i am
A pale white glow
shimmering softly
in slow descent

Melting cold winds
calming your tide
reaching the silence
above the sand
You shall not die
when the flame fades
when i immerse
in vetdant shades

You shall live on
eternal youth
with all its strength
and hidden truth
And through the night
wet salt and mist
reveal the thirstiness

of hundred tales
till the moon shines
in its crescendo
dripping its honey
in still embrace
Sky sprinkles stardust
upon your lips
till new dawn greets you
with a new kiss

leaving footprints
in warm sunshine
sailing within
an ocean paradise
chambers reserved
for one so beautiful
only in dreams
holding hands
once kissed
becomes real

Moon Dance

The waves slide over the shore
Leaving tiny, squiggly trails
The moon and sun battle for the sky
And the big, bright moon prevails.
The beach is shrouded in darkness
Dimmly lit by only one light
That dances through the undertow
Marching its way through the plight.
A stencil of gray laces the sky
Creating a vision of death
Slowly overcoming the shore
'Til it takes its last breath.
The ocean itself which had once held
So much life in its depths
Has become drowned in its own contents
It is meeting its own death.
A storm lashes its way
Solmnly across the sky
To make room for what will unleash
That will cause the very moon to cry.
Dancing and waltzing across the shore,
The moon sadly turns away
She can't bear to see her ocean like this
And witness it going astray.
With one, final, swift motion,
She casts her love out to sea
The love she held deeply for her ocean
The world, and all her countries.
She makes her way back to where she belongs
And lets the sun take over the sky
I didn't, in all my years,
Think I would ever see the moon cry.
But she shed those tears so bravely
And dried them so nonchalant
She turned and made her way back to the sky
Like it was something she could never want.
The moon had lost the battle
And, defeated, began to fade away
Then the sun began to dance, too
To celebrate a brand-new day.

Home is Where the Ocean Is

Summer is here once again.
The breeze is warm,
I smell salt on the wind.
The same sandy beach between my toes,
The same waters I learned to swim.
Sun burn on my nose,
To the Ocean I dive in.
I submerse myself in the waters of the Atlantic
Warmer than the West Coast Thankfully
Cold, I simply cannot handle it!
Further out I paddle faithfully,
For my mother ocean to keep me sane,
this is my therapy,
to soothe this migraine.
This place gives me energy,
a weakness with a name.
Pleasure Island, NC.
A place hidden with fortunes
and undiscovered fame.
Never could I stray from the ocean
my passions would never be fulfilled
and I would never be the same.

Dedicated to my Dad on Father's Day 2013
The man who introduced me to the ocean and educated me about it and gave me reason to love appreciate and respect it.

The Ocean

Children race under curtains of sun where kites fly laced in joyous delight
Echoes of childhood still remain of melancholy play , forever locked in wistful refrain
As days of bucket and spade pass away
Trapped in endless blue, the sun shines bright, while fleecy clouds turn pure white
Sparkling and clean the waters race,
side by side to crash on lonely shores reflecting the joy of childish faces
Winds blow , clouds fly as mountains turn in ominous skies
And she stirs as rain blurs the interface of sea and sky
The mountainous waves speak in tones of thundering grace, ask me now for I do not lie
Blackness descends , the winds do howl ,life comes cheaply , she replies
Swept away in a lovers quarrel , the rage kept locked away
She acts now in magnificent display
Feelings of anger , jealousy and rage
Till at length she calms herself , her fury abated to all things related
The golden sands once again in mid-day sun
Rainbows grow in shimmering mists
And still I wait to see what mood exists
Time is suspended for who knows how long, the seas are calm and pure as glass
And all is normal , feelings of love again at last

Watching the Sun Rise

At first the sun's fingers
Poke up just a bit,
Seeming to find the ocean's ledge,
They grab a hold of it.

With radiant arms extended,
It raises itself higher,
Then sits upon the ocean's rim -
A fuzzy ball of fire.

Watery Sun

As summer’s hope dreamt it had caught him,
days tallied boardwalk planks one by one.
Candles became golden skies burned dim
beyond evening’s watery sun.

How I tried to help you with my friend,
but she had built a sandcastle there.
Only time and advice left to lend
on a beach came that one morning’s glare.

Another wound to scar that bled youth,
ran over before it had begun.
By the grains of chance and a tanned truth,
tides washed another watery sun.

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

A Walk on the Sands

As the palm-trees
danced in the faint
ocean breeze, the sands
gently tickled my feet
as they quickly moved inland

The Sun accompanied
with a sense of freedom,
made me feel as though
the Sun-rays were passing
through me, feeding my soul
with wonder and awe

Sparkling like diamonds
dancing to the tunes of a
magical wand, the skin of the
ocean glowed with Heavenly radiance
that blinded my eyes and
enchanted my mind at the same time

This was a moment not
even a myriad comets could
inspire me with such depth
as the whispers of the ocean
and the warm stare of the Sun

the beach and you and us

the tide rolls on the midnight beach
and stars, they shine so great and bright
the wind blows slightly through your hair
and you, you hold me there so tight

the morning comes and so does sun
its rays, they kiss your sandy cheek
your lashes drop, the way you smile
replaces all, for I can't speak

Ocean Blue

The ocean is so alluring it calls out to you in a
way you can't re sit and you don't want too.
It draws many to it's beach side where many walk
bare foot in it's warm sand and stand letting the
waves splash across them.
Children building sand castles, the sea gulls flies
high over head in the cloud less sky, bodies of
different shapes and sizes lines it shore, many with
sun umbrellas, beach towels, laying in the
warm sun getting a suntan, bodies as far as the eyes
can see.

The ocean is where many go to watch the sun rises, the
sun sets, lovers walking hand in hand on the warm summer
sand beneath their feet, kissing, hugging, laughing, running
just having fun.
Night time comes way to quickly for many but many stay
and watch the sun set and the moon raising high in the clear
dark sky above it's light shinning down on the water making
it look like a shinning gleaming diamond, and like glass that
could break any second.

Ocean Dance

Soft sun, dripping through
the trees, landing on
her smiling face.

Waves made of laughter
crashing down in dreams
lost in the cool light.

Gone are the days of
fanciful sights and gold memories.
Now she has seashell thoughts and
ocean air dreams.

Wind and salt against her skin,
soft, crushed powder beneath her tanned feet.
Smelling sea breezes calms her mind.
Melodies that the ocean plays just for her,
making her soul dance.

Letters From The Ocean

For as the sun drowns in the misty waves
I coat my dreams with the filthy shade
And gently some drops of ocean tickled
Whispering my thoughts in a stormy tune
I coat my dreams with the filthy shade
Jiggling my soul with a wetted hope
Whispering my thoughts in a stormy tune
Drifted through my veins as I went on asleep
Jiggling my soul with a wetted hope
To believe in a rise of a holy sun
Drifted through my veins as I went on asleep
That abides to arise with daily new notes
To believe in a rise of a holy sun
And gently some drops of ocean tickled
That abides to arise with daily new notes
For as the sun drowns in the misty waves

Dreams That Never End

Take a deep breath and feel the cool ocean breeze.
Lay back your head let your golden hair flow free.
Feel the warm tingle of the sun on your face
filling the lines around your eyes like a road map you can trace.

Waves flow around you, cooling your warm sun kissed skin.
Drifting off to places you’ve dreamed but never been.
Maybe sipping tea with the queen at her royal throne,
or singing like a rock star on a stage all alone.

Or flipping through a magazine and finding your face on the cover,
or discovering you’re the main attraction at the circus as a juggler.
Or winning an academy award for your part in an epic movie,
or sitting back stage with the band where you’re the number one groupie.

Or maybe time rewinds and you’re slow dancing at the prom,
or sitting at lunch with the boy you had an enormous crush on.
Or maybe you’re top chef at a five star hotel,
or climbing the tallest mountain to take a breathtaking repel.

So as the crisp ocean breeze peaks your senses to awake
and you open up your eyes as the cold waves wash away,
and the dimly lit sunset lights your soul deep within,
you finally come to realize that your dreams will never end.

Be Still My Love

Written March 25, 2013

Any minute now
The sun will rise again
A ship sets sail for the ocean
Another's coming in
I don't quite know
Where I should even begin

The day breathes a sigh
That makes me wonder why
The rain falls only in the den
Where we sit so patiently and wait
The same couch from our first date
Maybe this is just our fate

What house is this I'm in
The paint is wearing thin
The sound of stories told
Has got me growing old
Just you and me my darling
And all the red starlings

Any minute now
The night will come again
We'll set sail for the ocean
Watch others coming in
If I ventured in the slipstream
Would I find you in my dreams

So be still my love
Don't fear this life you're in
Things will change this time around
I'll let the light shine in
I'm just waiting
For this life to begin

In this world

Beautiful day, sun full beam upon

my face. A fresh brilliance as I Inhale,

this world is truly indescribable. I

 certainly cannot comprehend the

depths of the deepest oceans to the

highest mountain peaks. I could ponder

till the grave the vastness of the landscapes,

every creature God has made. A world

teeming with life every corner far and wide.

I have let the barrier down. In this world

God's love is beyond our understanding. Its

 unconditional and forever lasting

STORM

STORM

The calm waters edge
Happily splashing the shore
The look of the calm
So happy and free
The perfect place
Anyone should want to be
Thoughts of friends
Family you wish to share this moment with
The overwhelming feeling of joy
A swirling in your mind
The most amazing scene by mankind
Displayed right before your eyes
You want to cry
At this feeling of pride
The pride and love of what is in front of your eyes
This epic moment
Sun shining to the sea
Such an amazing thing
Between the rays of light on sea
You see such godlike things
This whole feeling bringing you to your feet
For there is nothing like this
This one thing
The joy of this scene
The warmth of the light beaming
The feeling of being free
This perfect view.
As the sun slowly flows down
You sit with it
Staring at the sea
Its depth amazing
What it can hold
All the life inside its depth
The suns gleam
Off this godly thing
Makes you wonder
How such a beautiful thing
Exists in this world of death.
The trees stir
The sun now tucked away
The ocean moves, calm as every other day
Laying down by its edge
You look towards the sky
The stars slowly form
Showing their light
the moon takes the place
As the cool new sun
The crisp air of night
Flooding your mind
Making you lose track of time
Drifting to sleep
You awake in your dreams
The same old scene
Surrounds you
Yet it is not the same joy
The feeling is strange
The sun is clouded
Darkness making the ocean look grey
What was once a nice day
Has been shown to the side of decay
The wind flows around
But in a different tone
The way it moves
No, no something is wrong
The once clear open sky
Now looks to have drowned and died
The soft ocean seems to turn tide
Then the noise.
There is nothing.
The storms fury is coming
Spin, turn, look for a escape
Unable to hear yourself over the gale
You shut your eyes and think of the time
That time...
The one with the nice breeze
The one with the clear sky
The one that made you cry
Cry and cry
Those tears of happiness and content
The beautiful scene
That beautiful time.
the one that there was not a care in sight
the one where stars where shown bright
yes, yes once upon a time...
