The Eternal Tree

I am Alive Forever and always Essence Rebirth Renewal
I have earth to ground me I have wind to move me I have fire to cleanse
my spirit I have rain to quench my thirst for growth
I have sun to enlighten me feed me I am my own mother
and an extension of the whole I am Earth wind
rain sun fire I am as old as life and I am as young
as time I am shelter to those who seek me I am a bird a flower and the breath
of the earth itself I am exactly where I want to be I am life
I am first and last the beginning and the end I am one from many
I am what I am I live I grow and I die. I am Reborn unto myself
                                                          I am the great circle
                                                           My limbs know no
                                                           Boundaries; while
                                                           My leaves whisper
                                                           The one truth of the
                                                           Whole through the
                                                           Seasons changing
                                                            Colors that I wear
                                                            Upon my heart's
                                                            Sleeve, I'm home
                                                           To Earth Mother’s
                                                           Melodious Life; I
                                                           Sing for the whole
                                                         World to hear - trees
                                                       Are Earth Mother's Song
                                                       Blowing 'round the leafy

             A clear night sky sparkle's
A once Famous Star was sent
inspiring the tiny child inside ~

Of Fawn And Fairy

Inside this forest
so bright and mild
a fairy lived
her name, Wonder Child

For all the forest
knew of this girl
to which they knew
she would change the world

A fawn she crept
upon one day
it sensed no danger
no need to escape

Her acquired ability
to speak with those
on four legs with fur
scurrying would go

She was as a spirit
in the woods she did walk
she would talk to the animals
to her they would flock

She'd gentle reach down
and with the smallest of hands
much like the grains of sand
beside them she'd stand

Together as one
the fairy and fawn
if you close your eyes tight
you may see them at dawn

Review:
"I have seen the fawn wake up at dawn...
and then she did not tarry.
This tiny deer so full of cheer
set out to find the fairy.

She knew that the winged one
would help her through the day
and with the sun at end of day
would quietly slip away.

But fawns grow into beautiful deer
and time just passes on.
Now the mother deer, it is so clear,
seeks the fairy to teach her own."

Donna, I hope you don't think I am presumptuous to think this would improve on your beautiful poem... No, It is just an example of how perfection can trigger creativity in the least of us...
You have my honest admiration and respect for this and many other fine works in your portfolio... Love Ya! Jake

Mother Doe and Fairy
Inspired by Donna G. Fowler’s
‘Of Fawn and Fairy’

I saw the fawn wake up at dawn...
and then she did not tarry.
This tiny deer so full of cheer
set out to find the fairy.

She knew that the winged one
would teach her the right ways
and with the sun at end of day
would quietly slip away.

 Fawns grow into beautiful deer
as time just passes on.
Now the mother deer, it is so clear,
seeks the fairy to teach her own.

The fairy knew her language
and all the others too.
She had tutored many youngsters
in the proper things to do.

The forest had been good to her
and the years had been kind too.
When the Doe felt life within her
she knew just what to do.

She knew just where the fairy should be
each and every day.
She wanted her to teach her fawn
to live the forest’s way.

The mother doe was nearing
the birth of her first fawn.
She arrived there at the clearing
just at break of dawn.

She sensed the fairy knew --
for she felt her presence there.
The comfort she had sought to find
Could be felt in the morning air.

She lay down in the comfort
of a nearby grove of trees
And quietly awaited there
in the cooling morning breeze.

Then she heard the quiet flutter
Of tiny little wings
She saw the fairy coming
as the birds began to sing.

She now relaxed and soon she knew
the peace the forest sends
And she found herself surrounded
by scores of tiny friends.

They all had heard the news
and all had been invited
To come and see the miracle
of two friends reunited.

The fairy knew why she’d been called
to this very special place
She was here to help the deer
receive God’s special grace.

It was not long – it had begun
And quickly, it was over.
There lay the mother doe and fawn
in the comfort of the clover.

The fairy then took stardust
and sprinkled it in their eyes.
Now when they exchange gazes
their love is not disguised.

The fairy and the doe and fawn
then went their separate way
knowing this would not be the last
of many special days.

Review:
Jake, I knew you could continue this after what you placed in my review. First I am honored that you were inspired by something I started. Secondly, this is an amazing continuation of my poem. You are so visual in this and I could see the field of clover and the new baby fawn. I felt as if I were there watching. Fantastic job my friend.. I'm so excited!!!!

BY THE SEA

PART One,,,, as she saw it.

The mountains and the meadows were always so beautiful this time of year.
It seemed as if a fresh new world always came to life. The high cliffs turned sharply downward. As I sat listening to the ocean tides smashing against the walls of the mountain below. There was a mild breeze blowing from the south. The grass in the flower covered meadows moved with the breeze. The sun shined so brightly I thought it would melt me at times.

As I stood up from the log where I was sitting by the emerald forest, the breeze pressed my dress against me. It formed to the soft round curves of my breast, down through the curves of my waist pushing against my yielding hips. As I blinked from the sun, I saw him there in the distance. I had thought I was alone. But there he was, starring straight at me. What would I do and where could I turn? I knew what kinds of thoughts men had, my mother told me all about them. I saw that he was beginning to move my way !

I saw him there as he saw me. I was paralyzed, not knowing what direction to move. Though as I watched him from afar, he did not seem dangerous as my mother always warned. Still, I could hear her words like a tape recorder in the back of my mind.

Should I dare take my eyes from his? I could see his eyes were dark, maybe brown, or even midnight blue. What ever the color, I could tell they were smoldering with restrained passions. His hair was long to his shoulder blades. I knew that because it moved with the wind. He had broad shoulders with long legs. I knew I must not let him reach me. If his arms entangled me , surely I would never get loose. And, I'm not sure I would want too. Even though I heard the words of my mother, running in my head.
I could feel the tiny beads of sweat trickling down between my breasts. I was not sure I should take my eyes from him as I leaned down to pick up the fan that had slipped from my hand to my bare feet.

PART ONE,,,, As he saw it .

The winter snow had melted and yielded to the bright warming rays of the spring sun. The bears had come out of hibernation with their new born looking for food. The mountains and the meadows were born again, new, fresh and alive with life. Everything was beautiful and as it should be. Birds singing, their mating songs blended with the crash of the surf against the steep cliffs of the mountain. Nature was at peace with itself, and I came here to share in this peace. To be alone with the earth, or so I thought.

I found a place to sit on the grass hidden among the flowers in the high meadows. So I could enjoy the gentle breeze blowing while watching the forest animals. The warm sun caressed my body and warmed me. It was a prefect day, yet something was missing. A day like this needed to be shared with someone, someone special. Stretching, I caught a slight movement out of the corner of my eye, just across the enchanted forest. Of a beautiful women. It couldn't be possible as no one knew of this place. I had come here for years and had never seen a another person before. Yet, there she was. Dressed in a dress the wind made love to, pressing it to her body. Clinging to the sensual curves of her breast, down to her firm waist and full inviting hips. I suddenly felt drawn to her and stood up. I knew she had seen me as she was starring back at me, as I stood staring back at her. She was a vision. And I was afraid she would vanish if I approached her. Yet, she seemed to be smiling, calling to me as I started walking towards her. I remember the stories my grandmother had told me of the enchantresses that lived in this forest, but I did not hesitate. I would give to her anything she wanted, anything she desired.

As I approached her I realized she was real. She seemed to be looking at me, daring me to come closer. All the stories of the enchantress my grandmother had told me flooded my mind with a warning. Yet, she was so beautiful, so inviting and I couldn't take my eyes from her. I was slowly losing control with each and every step that brought me closer to her. I knew I was lost as I felt the heat of my desire to be with her, starting to take control. It was a struggle not to run to this beautiful creature , with the golden hair, and angelic face. As I came closer I couldn't help but notice her sensual breasts rising and falling with each breath she took. She seemed to be smiling, challenging me with everything that made her a beautiful, desirable woman. A woman this sensual, this beautiful, this desirable was surely the enchantress, and I was hers. As a bee is drawn to the flower, I was being drawn to this women.

Suddenly she reached down to pick something up. It was just then I noticed she was barefoot. As she bent over to retrieve what she had dropped, the sun reflected off her spun gold hair. and radiated a golden brightness that was almost blinding. Her dress shifted allowing me to see that her body enhanced her dress, rather then the dress enhancing her body. She would look beautiful in anything she wore. The heat of my desire for her was beginning to consume me with it's fire. I felt the beginnings of ,,,,,,,,,,

Potawatomi's Beginning...

The story I have to tell- was told long ago to me,
About the creation of the Potawatomi Nation;
In the beginning the Creator made Anishabe,
And the Creator told Anishabe to name all of his creations,
Anishabe set out with a wolf, his companion,
And he went around naming everything;
From the mountains and the canyons,
To the Summer and the Spring;
He became lonely realizing, he alone had no mate,
And as he traveled everywhere searching,
He traveled towards the Great Lakes;
And there he heard a woman singing,
Her song was a thing of beauty,
About the home she was making for them;
Anishabe crossed the lake to meet her, finally,
The daughter of the Firekeeper-And quite a gem
Their’s was the first unity bond, It is where life came from;
Of each other they were inordinately fond;
Their union gave life to four sons,
Each of their sons went a different way,
The First son traveled North, it’s color is White, henceforth;
Given the first gift of the Creator-sweet grass-braided in a bouquet,
He married the daughter of the Spirit of the North;
The second sun traveled East, into the rising sun,
He learned that fire is the essence of life;
He was given the second gift-herbs to speak with the One,
East is the color Yellow, East’s daughter became his wife;
The third son traveled South, known as “The Way of The Woman”,
The way of seeds and all that give life, the color of South is Red;
He was given the gift of cedar-to purify and prepare food for his clan
And to the daughter of the Spirit of the South he was wed.
The last son traveled west, towards the mountain highlands,
He learned that the setting sun represents the circle of life;
Black is the color of West-Sage was the gift for his hands,
Married to the Spirit of the West’s daughter, Black stands for strife.
This is the story of the Creator, That my Grandmother told to me,
How my culture was started, And what our banner means.

~I've been holding on to this a while-Hope you enjoy the beginning of my culture~

Heart of The Sea

The heart of the sea is a mother's heart
She is the great ancestral mother of all life on the planet
Deep within the mysterious waters of her womb
she conceived and gave birth to the first life form
which evolved into more complex organisms
that live on the land and in the air

She is an essential part of the planet's ecosystem
feeding the clouds which bring rain and snow
that sustain life on the earth
Through tiny ocean plants and photosynthesis
she removes carbon dioxide from the air
and converts it to more than one half of the oxygen
in the earth's atmosphere

She is the great food provider to the planet
having her own internal food chain
with tiny phytoplankton at the lower end
and enormous sharks and whales at the upper end
She feeds creatures from the land and air
that venture to fish in her waters

She is a thing of beauty even in her enraged fury
with massive waves towering over a hundred feet
and the seething white foam of her waters
This has been her action
even before the advent of man on the planet
Man must respect her behaviour
or suffer death and destruction if he does not

She is a thing of beauty in her calm stillness under the setting sun
which lights up the evening sky in its glorious splendour
and paints a glistening beam of light on the water's surface
in line with the sun and surrounds it
with brilliant colours of the rainbow

A Pink Garland Of Love

~ Unrolling the fabric by the yard
I could see a light behind her eyes
The wheels of the old Singer sewing machine
Had come alive in her imagination
                    Spinning furiously,
Long before she paid the clerk
And gleaming tiny roses, of pink, and blushing bands
Would take her for a lovely walk
Into the magic land of thread

~ I remember how the floral fabric, spread out before our eyes
Was a garden in florescent light
This fifty two inch wide bolted parade of blooms,
Selvedge seamed, of gleaming polished cotton
Waited to enhance my first dance

~ Before she even picked out a spool of thread
The pattern was laid out in her mind
It was almost as if the springtime dress,
                    Could magically make itself

~ She had held the pink against my face,
Then draped some around my shoulders
I felt myself float off the floor,
And in my imaginary dream, I was Cinderella...
It was as if little bluebirds were wrapping me in garlands of love
                    While mother’s gentle touch
So lovingly, and skillfully….with her motorized magic wand
Was determined to fulfill my dream

~ She would know, just the perfect touch, to make it divine
Just how it would gather around the waist
With a sash of blush, with a bow in the back
A neckline of lace, in a sweetheart design
~ And I think that she also knew, when we made all those plans
How love could last in each stitch, each thread of time

~ The love expressed....in that rosy little dress
With every stitch that she sewed...
Would be part of the fabric of life that I knew
                                            My very first dance dress….
... a rose covered sun dress, sewn from the garden of love

Hera

Hera precious, gorgeous queen of splendor,
of mighty Ares,and Enyo,the mother,
to thee I write my gratitude and thanks
for all thy blessings showered upon my head.
Thine is the pomegranate and the diadem,
with which you rule all worlds and human lands,
with magnanimous mercy and charity.
of rainbow colors dressed divine thou art,
the sunny smiling matron of the arts,
Thou, queen, who favorest the pure of heart.

How does that Lilly grow in this place?

In this valley were the sun did seem to shine all day and a lone coyote on a hilltop calls out
for a mate. Were arid temperatures seemed to linger throughout the day and the skulls of
the weakest of Mother Nature’s most defenseless litter this place and nature’s many
scavengers’ feed off the last of their remains. With their forward set eyes which always seem
to be in search of another easy meal to claim. As both the weak and the strong seek out
shelter from the hot day’s sun, with shelter at a premium and each cool place to rest virtually
non existence to those who sought out relief from the unforgiving rays of the hot sun beams
burning down on their carcasses and brains. Some of them would even fight for those rare
and few cool hiding spots, even if it meant to their death. This was Mother Nature’s attempted
to bring balance and harmony to a place where only the strongest of God’s creations seem to
thrive in this place. It was here that I found a single Lilly growing in this God forsaking place
and it was then that I did realize? That our God had a purpose for us all in this world, even
for that single Lilly that was growing there all alone in this place… It was Gods way of telling
me that all things are possible even if we seem to be alone in this world. One was not a sign
of the end, it’s really a sign that there is more to come and that is why the Lilly does grow
there in the valley all alone in a place where there was once none.

You're There, I See You

I close my eyes in darkness
While the world lies down to sleep
As a father and a husband
My family’s mine to keep
Protect them? I am willing
I am always there on guard
But, when I’m not and far away
I trust You are, oh Lord

The rising sun of morning
Has my family’s eyes so wide
As the motor sounds of traffic
Fills the air that floats outside
And the people that are walking
Some are jogging, some just go
Makes me see, what truly is
And all I really need to know

God, You’re there… I see you

In the blue that reigns up in the sky
On the breath of clouds that float on by
The image of the homeless man
Who still offers up his time
As he asks not for, without doing first
So I give water to quench his thirst
To the flowers that grow in the park
And the trees that children climb

God, You’re there… I see you

While coming home at evening time
Knowing my family waits for me
I smile real wide as I walk along
So all the world can see
Maybe then they’ll see just what I see
And then take it on their way
With hopes that they will share a smile
And make better someone’s day

Now the sun has set, children tucked
With a kiss I gave to fall asleep
Standing at the door I see my wife
And I feel the love she gave to keep
I thank you Lord for all I have
For always seeing my family through
Because I know I couldn’t do this alone
That’s why I put my faith in You

God, You’re there… I see you

In the blue that reigns up in the sky
On the breath of clouds that float on by
The image of the homeless man
Who still offers up his time
As he asks not for, without doing first
So I give water to quench his thirst
To the flowers that grow in the park
And the trees that children climb

God, You’re there… I see you

Song To Mother Earth

Mother Earth spinning on your centre
while revolving around Father Sun
making day and night on your surface
and the different seasons every one

Your flesh provides the vital substance
on which trees, plants and grasses feed
and become food for birds and animals
who partake of them as they need

Some of those birds and animals
feed others higher in the food chain
and become part of the eco cycle
which continues full circle again

All living things decay when they die
and return to you dearest mother
to become substance that feeds plant life
and start off a new eco chapter

Rain and snow from the sky bring water
that feeds the lakes, seas and rivers
which have a food chain of their own
among all their different creatures

Water from the sea becomes vapour
and rises as a cloud formation
which precipitates as rain and snow
and water after condensation

Sun and Earth combine in harmony
doing so since before our birth
Thank you for feeding all living things
Our dearest blessed Mother Earth

The Purity of the Human Soul

" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and temperate"
                                          - William Shakespeare

His question ponders through my mind
For he claimed how thou art more beautiful than thee
Enchanting summer with its mother; the sun

For thou are indeed my guide
Thou art my sun that never misleads
Thou art the one person I shan't leave
And shan't wish to be gone by the morning's rise

O treasure deep within my soul
Beam so strong to enlighten my days
Art thou hearing the wonderful tune?
Playing so softly with the rise of the light
But then again thou art brighter than the sun

Thou art the glass of pure water
Emerging from the steep, creamy waterfall
Gleaming sparks attached to your white neck
Purifying the light touching your skin

" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"
Nay, for thou art more beautiful than a summer's day
For if I do compare
The sun shall melt and the wind shall be amazed
By the beauty thou behold
Embedded deep within your soul

Beauty isn't only from the outside, but from the inside; within a soul,
For the outside might just be a disguise, to simply foul one into ambuscades

Upon this Christmas Day

He sleeps there in a stable
The babe born to the world
Both mother, father watch with care

Though swaddled in a cloth
He is born, yet, to be king
With but just rags for Him to wear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

For within the early morning
Angels brought the sky a voice
Calling forth those who wish to hear

Along then, came all others
Knowing truth within their hearts
That all now have nothing to fear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

Go forth and tell all others
Who had no chance to hear
The news of hope and of the joy

Let them know the Gift of God
That comes to save us all
His son sent as this little boy

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

The Shadow

Would you believe the one thing the shadow does not know is how he came to be.
Stand in the sun and look to the other side of your body from which the sun does shine.
There you will find the shadow, which is something that cannot hear or see.
And, furthermore, the shadow seems to not even have a mind for it lives it's short life just fine.

Then the clouds whisk the sun from view and the shadow does not even say ouch..
For it goes into oblivion as if it never were.
Also, it seems, a magician will never find that shadow in any pouch.
Nor in any fine coat made of fur.

So in reality, the shadow is nothing to fear as it can do no harm.
Not even upon a farm.

But, the object that comes to block the light can be good or bad.
If you are playing as a child and your mother approaches and blocks the light.
Then you have no reason to be sad.
Unless you had done something wrong such as getting into a fight.

To a Mother Waiting

Under a moonlit sky the calmness you long
Is slowly breathing in your heart a cool desert
Is longed by the warm wind is blown by time.
A long still surviving road ahead
And the road a high grade of shadows is gray
And the night above a quiet landscape.

It is how the moon can see you now.
Tomorrow the sun will long for you
The longing that you were the long deep
Breathing that you were or nothing about the glare
Of the moonlight could ever make you see

The soundness of waiting
Upon the road the sun
Will singe on a thin earth.

Mother Nature

The sun beams down lighting up my face and warming my skin
Coaxing my eyes shut to leave the physical world
Letting the natural world fill my veins
The wild wind refreshes my lungs
Replenishing my whole inner being
My mind goes to a wonderful place to take a break from the ever crazy reality
My body begins to weigh down sinking into earths comforting ground
Natures lullaby soothes me to drift off into unconsciousness

The land of dreams and wonderful things, hopefully
With nature surrounding me and cloaking me in divine bliss
Only allowing the subconscious to bring to life beautiful scenes
Flowered trees, fields of green, skies painted picture perfect blue, the air smells and tastes of honeydew, birds sing along to natures tune, the rivers move to the beat of Mother Nature’s heart

A natural awakening brings back my soul from its deep sleep
Slowly uprooting my body from Mother Natures’ loving grasp
She infused me with her energy to help me through the unnatural world we live in
I can't wait for the sun to coax me again to close my eyes and appreciate her beautiful essence once more

For Emily

An afternoon stroll with a friend on a heated day,
Her hair perfectly swaying to her giggle bounce
Holding her tummy, simply stating
“I have a baby on the way”

Hugs, kisses, dreams and wishes
For this Mrs
The sun shining inside and out
So lucky she felt that day, she has a baby on the way

Baby’s daddy holds mommy’s hand
Says thank you honey, I love you so much
Our baby is lucky to have your heart
And I’m so blessed to wear your band

A visit to the doctor turned perfect joy into shock
You have cancer he told her
You won’t live with this life in you
Sit soon with your husband and have a talk

Hugs, kisses, dreams and wishes
For this Mrs.
The sun shines brightly on this day
Cause she still has her baby on the way

Her husband crying uncontrollable tears
Loving her so
He could never ever let her go
He can’t choose
he doesn’t want to lose
His wife or his child

She knew for her this baby was a voice
A wish she made so long ago
A wish come true
And there was no one telling her what to do
It was ultimately her decision, her choice

Six years have passed, and Emily asks,
“Daddy, when will I see mommy?”,
Today my sweet angel,
Today

Hugs, kisses, dreams and wishes
For this Mrs
The sun still shining on this day
as Emily kneels to pray
For mommy

Mommy had made her choice
And daddy still hurts so bad, he misses her smile, her touch
But he holds Emily today
with Mommy's light warming them both
His deep indescribable love for Emily sustains him
On her birthdays

Hugs, kisses, dreams and wishes
For Emily
The sun still shining on this day
her hair perfectly swaying to her giggle bounce,
as she plays,

Mother Star

I am aimed and directed for a shooting star.
In the midst of a collision I am traveling far.

Nothing can stop me for I am on a lifelong mission.
I’m timing the clocks and gaining some recognition.

I am in and out of reality stumbling onto a delusion.
Sometimes I want to run free and go into seclusion.

The wind tries to hinder me so I shew it to go away.
I stand on the Moon and make the Sun arise a new day.

I am looking down at a world that is misunderstood.
If I could have I would have and then again I should.

But that is neither here nor there so I will fair.
I have accumulated a bit and have much to share.

However, there is a cornerstone one can get stuck.
One must find the mother Star and hope for lady luck.

Once you find it you will be well on your way,
You’ll rise with the Sun and be brighter each day.

Time Will Tell

"Time will tell.."
Time has told...
I am getting way to old...

The sun is no longer brighter then the moon
I can't tell a fork from a spoon

I don't drive anymore I only sit and stare
I have to have total care

I used to speak when spoken to
I could react and know what to do

I used to tie my own shoe laces
I used to go places

I once worked on a job for many years
This disease was my worst fear

My mother and grandmother passed it on to me
I can't see what you see

I used to smell flowers and saw how very pretty they were
Now everything to me is one big blur

Family and friends ask me things and I can't reply
Only Our Lord and Savior knows why

For I know I am here with you all and I know that it's going to be okay
Just love and care for me each and every day

We will meet again this I know
When God calls me I have to go

I will tell the others I see that you said "hello and you will see them soon"
I pray for you my child that the sun stays brighter then the moon

Love Always

Precious

I woke up this morning and there you lay
The sun was shining, another day
A ray of sun fell on your hair
And on your face so soft and fare
You looked to peaceful laying there
Without a care

You know not of dangers that haunt this world
Innocence caught in light
Escaped the cold and dead of night
The mind's eye could unveil
Horrific images that swoop and swirl
Horror from which I will protect you my pearl
My precious child

The Calling Sun

These walls are blinding,
Holding no reflection,
Revealing no tone, shade, or hue.
Swallowing all life and personality within.

These walls are weighted with sadness and neglect.
Wonders and horrors of the world barred off.
Alone she sits, needle at bedside.
Along with the spark in her eyes this four-cornered room has long since gone dark.

Her sun once brightened her world,
Illuminating the four-cornered abyss.
But alas, the night always comes for the day's bright sky.
Alone he sits, at her bedside,
He's lost her again hasn't he?
Day breaks, the sun is rising,
A little boy calls for his mother to come home.

Freedom before my lost brother

Freedom before my lost brother

They march before the rising sun with guns at six
We stand before sun down with signs of freedom

Who really marches to the same drum?
When my hand have been blown off for beat
The beat, the beat, the beat

As he races from the explosion of freedom in his chest
For freedom
To escape this tide of hate
That swept us slaves of red, white and blue

And he is nothing like before when hate took him away
He is a man at six and we are still children as adult
War took my hands and feet I am no solider
I fight for freedom not money
You fight so this tide will not cross-oceans and sands

We fight here for food and light
And light, to breathe, to die for family
Across the ocean hand my son an ak-47
And he will march and kneel before God for forgiveness

Hand my brother a ruger and he will stand in the shadows for American greed
Greed in the land of freedom and hope, black in the shadows
And mother can mend wounds here across the oceans she can only dial
Extensions.....
Of relief
Mother over there must know how to be doctor and surgeon, and warrior for the
Next
Generation to survive, to live

We cannot procreate; we are the ends of mankind
With bombs in the hands of babies
To extend our left hand of hate across the ocean, across towers of hope

We must all be the same here a million mile from each other
My skin dictates that I hate, be hated, I rape, be raped
I bleed red, white and blue
Watching in shock, disbelief as red, white and blue goes up in flames in the
Ashes of the wind just like you

Freedom can never come to me here before her with that torch
My mother across the ocean must be sending me a package of death to kill my
four father
Your four father because my complexion means that no one can see me
I am a lost brother, forgotten sister
Hated child with no hands, no hands in freedom

March me before television cameras, signs of peace, and words of love
I am still a lost brother............ before truth
But you knoe me so well..
From the the same box that caused my cousins in your land to be hung
Money means nothing here, Money means every thing beside her with the torch
Pass it to me so I may freedom---the truth

how i felt before my mom got well

I have not seen my mother in a while.
I have these dreams where she comes back.
when she comes back it feels as if I'm in a fairy tale.
It's like there can be no wrong.
It's as if God made us perfect.
All I lost I found.
The sun rose over the empty sky and made where there was a forever lasting
cold night a warm bright day.
An emotional nuclear bomb wiped out all hate. Breaking down the barriers of
insecurity to bring out the harbored bitterness stored deep inside releasing all
feelings, and there was nothing but understanding and love left.
All this happened the day she came back.
Then i woke from my dream to my nightmare, and I realized what i felt was like a
fairy tale was just that a tale.
When I woke: I could find no right, but wrong was all around.
When I woke: I was no longer in Gods world of perfection, yet I found myself in
the devils world of corruption.
When I woke: There was no sun to bring day just cold darkness in the sky of the
everlasting night.
When I woke: There were many unspoken words, bottled up feelings, and
bitterness stored deep in the middle of my soul.
Even when I was awake she came back, but she didn’t stay and every time i
waited for her when she left.
When she did come back i pleaded with her to take care of my brother and sister.
I let her know we needed her guidance, wisdom, love, and compassion.
I weep every time she leaves, but it seems she shows no sympathy toward these
needs or me because she yet keeps leaving.
I get angry so angry I feel my mother is some what of a black widow, but the
sorrow she caused me and my sister and brother. I would sometimes call her
Queen of Black Widows.
She earns this title by loving and caring for you where you can’t live without her.
When I sleep i have dreams about her. Then she leaves and you can’t stop
thinking about her. It overwhelms me so much I can’t breathe without her. It feels
as if you die inside slowly leaving nothing but sorrow so all I can do is cry.
I would go on but there’s nothing else to tell , so i wait till she comes back if she
has not died i hope she took my advice and gave her life to god so she wont go
to hell.
This is how I felt before my mom got well.

On the Death of Esther Jackson, my mother

There was a rock, a big and mighty rock
And little boys hang on it like toddlers to a frock
There was a rock immovable in the sun
And haughty winds blew on it, and effect they had none
And there was rain and there was sweat
That poured from its mighty brow, and the sun set
Beyond it, the rock was like a plow, the way birds came
To feed in its contented niche and dance their little game
There was a rock, bold, independent, strong
Trampled by the fickle forces with egos never wrong
It stood its tests, and gave its all to all
But could not go beyond a hundred years of time when heaven called
I weep for my rock, I weep without a rest
My rock is gone, the signpost in my wilderness
