I stand on top of the opinion of the mighty powers above
Staring into the eyes of their dominion
Keeping myself armed and fighting
In the order of a new world
In the order of new eyes
My spirit is old
In the order of new times
My heart lacks no fear
My hands lacks no wrong
So I have no tears
to let roll on
As The River Of Jordan splashes in red
My evil days shall past
Consistent with biblical teachings
I speak the truth consistent with loud speakers
Let freedom ring
While I’m running my fingers through the clouds
I've discovered a savior to save us
Now drip my sun light onto the best
Now drip my sun light onto the rest
Goodness shall fall from my fingers tips
Onto the pages
of my ink.
I know its the summer time because of how naturally
Your beauty compliments the caress of a summer breeze
As I watch the world from beneath a shady tree
I take in the delightful comfort of everything I see
But in the same breath I am holding up my hands
Lord will you please give me back the things I no longer have
They are even more a part of me now that they are gone
As the sun falls below where the horizon is still holding on
Somewhere between the falling light and a star lit night
Is a dream that last forever and will never say goodbye
As the wind gently blows through the brush and shakes the leaves
It begins to hum a melody that I want to sing
At that very moment I smile for all the joy I have
Its so uplifting for me to see melancholy dance
Soon the morning sun will rise and capture my eyes
As I watch the hand of God paint a brand new sky
With every stroke of color I swallow all my pride
And I find a new place to dream of endless times
If I should ever get to the place I left my broken heart
Only then will I believe this brand new day will start
Again Im reminded of why my heart beats so restlessly
Only the speed of thought and my soul beneath this tree
On that cloudy weekend in June
I hear a soft and graceful tune
from the grey bird on the tree
Singing sweet lullabies felt
blessed in the moment
My body tingles of joy at sight
Gazing out through
my open door,
Letting thoughts fly free
Releasing love out into the horizon
Heart filled with emotion came
Grey bird stood playing its tune
for awhile and on the wings of
Then as the rain fell from the
sky the grey bird flew away
I blew a kiss to the clouds and
utterd these simple words of I
Love You father ( who's now in
heaven ) and yet I hope to hear
that grey bird sing again once
more for me
Farewell, love your son
Poem contest for Debbie -referential
Walking in the meadow of life on that summer day
Where she always loved to be at Una walked along the steady stream
As she picked up the white Lilly flower and put upon her hair of gold (princess of love)
And the daughter of a dander king
Una suddenly turned her head to the old orchard tree and begun to sing roman lullabies of joy
With tears of affection shed for the god who lives above the skies
At that moment she gazed back to the stream
And there the lion stood so tall just like a king eyes wide looked to una
As she went toward the mighty lion he went to her and utter'd thee words
I am a creature of pride with nothing to hide I am pure of heart true of courage with a mask of savage a mane gold as our hearts-
She became very happy and intrigued
As she laid her gentle hands on upon the lion she spoke these words
-I love thee lion and by sun and moon I love thee freely as men strive for right;
I love thee purely in my old griefs and childhood's faith
There a tiny lamb appears right next to her and the lion
So small and graceful like a gift from god above
The tiny lamb followed them further into the enchanted meadow sky as crystal blue and the wind is calm they drifted off strung into the world
To bring new love joy and courage to the world and spread good faith
we got a lot of rain man's wearin ray bands tryin to shake hands
with baked fans it a staged plan to get carly rea pants in front of a video tape.
stumblin mumblin bumblin fools trying to get paid
To say f this chick and f that one
whatever absurd word that flows right off of this tongue
got a dirty mouth, here is some orbitz gum
im sweatin bullets and i cant even afford a gun
but its so free if i want to abort my son then take his lungs
so i can be one hundred and forty one
and be here to see the thwarting of the sun
mr. obama who've worn out your welcome
But what do I know? I'm this republicun
who thinks all girls and boys should become
either a monk or nun and never cum
and pay for all of our condoms and pregnancy prescriptions
Or am I christian who cant have fun
because I know hun its wrong to drink coke and rums
till i am drunk and wait for the ring to get buns
then go condemn kids with weed and pokemon
And its sad to think this what our kids believe
cause this what they preach on the MTV
and their heart beat beats to each tweet and re-tweet
till a pick leaks online then they move on to vines
whatever better trend setter that stimulates the mind
“Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”’
— Genesis 22:15-18 NKJV
Little grains of sand
Assembled along the shore
—Meet sunlit water
As the sun smiled and fadeth behind the clouds
The yawning earth uncloak her beauty to the moon
Halfway through the night, a clock strikes ‘12’ too soon
Virgins carried a lamp and a vessel of oil
Eagerly waiting for the groom’s appearance
Abounding in devotion, patience and perseverance
Virgins grew weary and fell asleep, at midnight a cry was made
“Behold the Bridegroom cometh”
Here He comes and there the band of virgins goeth
Virgins begin to trim their lamp
But five neglected to watch and to pray
They never anticipated so long a delay
“Oh no! Our wasting lamps is dying out by day
Please give us of thy oil!
Please spare us a little of thy toil!”
“No! We have no oil to spare
Lest our lamps burn with dim flame
The groom is come already, lest He vent blame”
The unwise virgins were shut outside the banquet hall
They were left anguishing in gross darkness
In a night of eternal and unredeemed blackness
Both parties were taken unaware
But one was prepared for emergency
As their lamps continually glow with fervency
We are come to the last time
Let your lamps burn and not quenched
And be not a passive warmer on thy church-bench

Command the Israelites to bring pure, pressed olive oil to you for the lamp, to keep a light burning constantly.-Leviticus 24:2
IF JESUS ASKS
Dew on the grass
Wants to disappear
As a day wakes up
Frightened by the red eyes of sun.
Again all those men
Will remain tireless
For some more hours.
Sharp arrows from their mind
Distance on the earth,
Boundary of the of universe,
Pride of stars being alone,
Even the game fate plays.
But today’s day is tired.
That green tree
Standing naked in a landscape
Sunbath during winter,
Play with wind on stormy days,
A born again make up
As spring bade good bye,
Or get drenched in rain
Like a farmer’s son.
Old days have enjoyed them all.
That green tree
No more there,
City’s claw has removed,
Roots of its existence.
Is it only that lonely tree
Has been killed by city life!
Did not you see the tears of ocean!
Like a beloved lady
Wanted to wipe out
All weariness of humankind.
And in exchange
Modern life poisoned her heart
With all its senselessness.
When the day,
Wants to hide her face,
Men are still preying,
What else is remaining?
What else is faraway?
When daylight disappears,
Now penguin’s blood is our subject matter.
Or if this world becomes a bomb in fire
Then we shall hire
Our extraterritorial neighbor
To settle us in space shuttle,
Above the earth atmosphere.
So, the day unwilling to wake up any more.
Only the red eye of sun wakes her up.
Remember how morning birds
Use to sing melodies,
To wake her up.
All that resonance is missing,
As dew fell from leaves to leaves.
Glorious smile of shining water drops
On a lotus leaf
Cry alone now.
Misses how pleasant was twilight’s tune.
In today’s day
Who is there has time for them all.
But every year
There are seminars
Those entire glorious chapters
Sun, moon, even heaven is not too far.
And many more
All are in the memory of a computer.
But today’s day
Redeye of sun wakes her up.
Are men no more sacred now!
May be like polluted water,
As sacred from holy Ganga river.
So one day,
Jesus asks to the heart of mankind,
You have achieved so much,
Your glorious days are here,
Then why you still keep me crucified!
For how many centuries
Shall I remain!
Human child knows age-old answer
‘Its your greatness
To remain there,
So we worship!’
Only red eyes of sun
Wakes another day up.
A day -
No dew falling on her lap.
A poem by GOUTAM HAZRA
Jesus Was There
Depression creeps up on us without a warning
Before long the tears are connected to heartstring’s that are mourning
Having one wonder, when will these tears stop their flow?
Having one question where is Jesus when I need him so?
The days seem like the sun will never shine again
Having us wonder did its rays drown in our tears of no end
Having us question where has Jesus been all along?
Why hasn’t he dried these tears from things going so wrong?
Jesus was there the whole time, but we were convinced it was dark
For the sun was always shining its rays right into our hearts
He was leading us out of the shadows where our tears have been
Though we kept insisting on testing our own faith from within
Through our darkest days, hours and times of our lives
We must stand strong and reach our open arms towards the skies
There we will feel his loving touch holding us with his warm embrace
A place where tears have dried that once came down in an endless trace
The sun goes down, sunny side up.
My thoughts, shallow and unrefined delight in their new found depth.
The moon begins to bloom. Numbered stars take
their place in the countless skies.
There is a serenity I have received that I cannot change. It is a different kind of wisdom. It knows the difference.
God Rocks. Jesus Rolls
The train roars. Time Rumbles.
Night awakes. Rested and well fed it stretches into the light.
Shade delights in its own conception. Newborn shadows, suckle on the night.
Temptation seizes me. Prayer returns the volley.
Ice cubes skinny dip in glasses. They sit at a chair less table.
Painted walls procrastinate at the corner.
Skipped beats gather at the heart.
Motes conspire to dust.
A slick polished thought gets waxed.
Outside a lazy droopy wind falls to the ground.
Rain gathers in trees.
A rainbow shatters the sky.
Dawn breaks, broke.
The sun also rises. Over easy.
