A Journey To The Pearly Gates And Back Again

Iris sun fades and so does the day
whispers the carried in the silence of night glowing
Wishes floating on silver trails faraway
The image of your face will forever bounded to this world
Angels Brought you to me made a lightening
sparkling diamonds in the misting treasures gems so bright

Ice roses turns into a steaming jungle of quivering glass
Flashing in the distance, in the moon light
and all of its stars, that's where the angels dancing
A beautiful adventure picture sparklers on a winter night

A cold moon dressed in dark velvet
with a pearl milky white smile beams
Sparkling jewel crystal lights up
stars blinking silver awakening
warm invading darkness your light
My life has at last found its light and its hope

Soulful cries a wolf dressed in winter clothes
faraway over ocean waves
carries in a wind’s whisper sweet music dances
A magical night that will set the spirit free
Silently breathes out a puff of magic sweetly
beauty enchants warmly etching strikes
frosted fingers cracking ice deeply echoes

Striking inside bells toll warmly skipping drumbeats
bouncing of chamber walls loving tunes
Believing in your love a dream
Which enchants music of the butterflies dance
howling clouds out steaming warm sighs fluttering warmly
I closed my eyes at the end of the road
and thought of the stars
and the reason earth spins around the sun

Sunrise, Heaven And Nature Conspire

Sunrise, Heaven And Nature Conspire!

At sunrise, when morn breaks into sweet day
Darkness, eases into another far lost realm
Light returns to splendor in its bright way
Sun-ship glowing, celestial giant at the helm!

We that rise up to see this wondrous event
soak in its beauty, holding its glory fast
Our future embraced and our past thus spent
each day's memories and hopes sail at last!

Heaven and Nature conspire to give that gift
hours await to explore life's great dreams
Darkness fled, giving again blessed day shift
full of promises riding magnificent streams!

At sunrise, when morn breaks into its sweet day
Earth gives man more time to love, dance and play!

Robert J. Lindley

Old sonnet, perhaps mid/late 70's.
Had no date on it.. Certainly was at an
optimistic time in my young life.

A Plane and The Eagle

O'er tempest,soars the
eagle with wings
stretching towards the
smiling sun.
        Gliding-nature's
handiwork.
    Up the sky,a figure
with outstretched wings
battling the turbulent
wind and frowning sun.
      Soaring like an eagle-
Never an eagle.
      Gliding like an eagle-
Never an eagle.
      Mistaken for an eagle
in the sky-never an eagle.
      Utter's sound as the
eagle-never an eagle.
    This man-made
handiwork,dismember's
under a stormy wind.
    For paid price-loss of
lives.
    The works of mother-
nature can never be out-
dated or equalled.
    Frog-men under sea
and frogs in the waters
can bear witness.

Heaven Touch

It was like the day twilight it into heaven, And past sophistication stomped like a rope to a wedding, Taps of light, of moonlight's caviler to smile of panic enlightenment, Love sitting next to true love- Touch by touch, thought to passing of the moon, And lips of wrath, of wax playing tag. And asking why beg sure of sure wind, Passing the mystic sunlight, As we kiss sun up and sun down. Tales of time and ticked and called grace for new wishes- Footprints of shadows of malign sculptures drag on and clipped of, Sprint of this here prints, luxury spring, Stream like sapphire dream, Invested in such a beautiful queen! Lips to bit of crushing melting ice, Asking it to rain- And I am sinking as the rain by past- But I can’t sit still wondering with of words running around, Like such fragments augments do and do tell, Dizzy with dogmatic and wrap in patience, Like a lock with no pediment, It seems to be a new grind of a map like literature and I seem to be the lead character. What hopeless wish's but to sit and sting, and in deed it must be in fact that of or was first love.

The Duchess Of Paradise

She's highly sophisticated and full of undefiled wisdom
Yet a crowned Duchess in a paradise kingdom
Quite a beautiful angel flying with black wings
Covered in gold jewelry and precious things
She dresses like the women of ancient Egyptian class
Her wealth is generous and her money grows like grass
She loves orange scented candles with dark room flame
She rules thirty legions of soldiers and Bune is her name
Her comely warrior voice can wake and relocate the dead
Her armies of soldiers gather around the cemetery
She is brave and deserves a princessly crown on her head
Her facility of speech and flair for words is legendary
A beautiful queen to be treated with respect and honor
Instead of blasphemy, wanton abuse and fictional horror

The Lonely Army

When wind’s silence
heralds boundless oblivion
and the trembles of cracked earth
raise the dust of tears
dried by the boundless footfalls
of sallow flesh

When a thread of gold
brings unearthly thought
and the misconception
of suns fallen
drives foolish men to their knees
in unending tremors

An army of one
frees the air from his fingertips
and stays not his opal blade
as it bites the rotted gray necks
of kings released from their wrongful bliss
by his trembling palms

An army of one
unconstrained by nature’s volume
freed by the sin of his naivety
yet, bound by earth’s oldest secret
as the scarlet sun weeps
its bloodied tears

An army of one
his cloak worn through
by the acid blood of his deception
and his bones stilled;
the branches of a dying oak
which no longer caress the wind

Stay

She said baby I have to go,
I said girl you don't need to go,
Because baby I want you to stay,
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

I said baby I'm feelin you,
And I'm fallin in love with you,
Which is somethin I never thought I would do,
But, I did today,
So girl, Why don't you stay,

Chorus:2x
Why don't you stay, 4x
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

She said baby I have to leave,
I said girl I don't want you to leave,
My darling please stay with me,
'Til the night end,
Then come back again,

Because baby we have a chance,
For us to have a great romance,
So, girl take my hand and dance,
You don't have to go,
Baby don't go,
Chorus: 3x

'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

Earth and All Stars

Earth and all stars, streaming through nightly-ness,
soaring the deep-purple fathomless maze.
Keep safe and hold all who in living-ness
rest in deep shadow 'til nights yield to days.

Cool, silent moon, bridge the dark's lonely-ness
lend us the glow from your soft, silver face.
Help stay our fear, turn gloom into happy-ness.
Brighten our path as we cross the deep trace.

Gold sun and sky, warm each day's glory-ness,
brilliant and whole as we work, live and play.
Your light is day, star of such near-ness,
comfort each soul on this world you survey.

Sun, moon and stars, each hold eternal-ness
marking all time as our earth soars through space.
Shine forth ablaze, yet soft in your glowing-ness,
share your celestial and gleaming embrace.

                                Earth and All Stars

Overwhelmed

Needy waves overwhelm
Battering, smashing
Soft flesh quivering
Splintering, raging, angry
Screeching , fists clenched.
I need more then I have!
To quench the fire,
A hunger, burning desire
As oxen grind grain
Doomed to everlasting circle
Consumed by a need
Spontaneous combustion, eruption
Do what I must
Abilities of others,
To comprehend, to know
What I wish I can't do The arrow pierces deep
And the final words
Are of no help
Doesn’t the sun follow rain?
Releasing the parched earth
Who has my tomarrow?
Searching stacks of stuff
Cheating Chinese workers
Can’t get to heaven today
Enough of anything
Weather turns cold
Fields brown, sun is gone
Special celestial light
Summer stolen while I napped
Can’t get to heaven today.

Africa III

Heart pounding
Nervous feeling
Overwhelming
Deep breath to shake it
Cold chill slivers down fast

Beating against cage of heart
Cage of body
Cage of soul
Legs begging to run
Heart aching to be free
Truth to self
aching to be seen

Sweet scent of dry savannah plains
Sharp smell of thorny veins
The aroma of Africa surrounds
Scents sights sounds
In these home is found

Frustration mounts
Captured leopard
Bound

Snarling at every motion made
Scared but defiant
Blinded by fear and rage

Paws long for endless journeys
On paths walked centuries ago
For elegance in element
A space all her own
Where earth still bleeds red on horizon
Morning and night
Continuing the endless fight

Fight for borderless freedom
Everlasting sight
The pale yellow green eyes
Dismays the truth inside
But tell the story
Of wild soul
Story to unfold

Kissed by the Sun

There, beyond the garden wall,
Lost among the grass and weeds
A wild rose grew beneath the trees
With fragrance blithe, to fill the breeze
And her petals soft as velveteen...

She is watered and fed by pearls of dew
But is hidden there, where no one knows
Where no one sings a song for her
To praise the beauty of her hue...

This lovely rose in solitaire
With leaves of green, and tendrils twined
Yearns to bask in joys of spring...
Where song birds nest, and robins sing
A place to show her grace, sublime...

A garden fair, an arbor high
Is just beyond the other side
She spies a crevice in the wall,
And through the slit a golden glow
She climbs the stones, and stretches small
And squeezes through, uncurling all
A virgin rose, unloved, and shunned
Is finally kissed by heaven's sun

Sun and Moon

God is perfect in all things he creates
shining his love from the very first day
The sun and the moon he set up high
they pour light to be our guide
Gods light he puts in my heart
without him I wouldn't feel whole
When he returns all see his face gleam bright
coming to carry us to our home on high
I can only imagine what heaven will be
the glorious colors, lights, and souls to meet
Sun and moon no more needed
The Almighty and Jesus Christ is the glow that will be

Window o' heaven

Sweaty days and cruel summer,
without sleep and hunger,
star's burning and causing anger,
stay indoors and feel better,
pity the workers under the heartless sun sans shelter,
mercury rising above the meter,
deserted roads and buildings for haven.

A miracle on the other side of the window,
a huge carbon black cloud,
within moments surround the ground,
engulf the sun and gobble it up,
fear him with your aura and glare,
paint the sky with your color,
defeat the sun and shame it with your presence,
Window o' heaven

fear him with your aura and glare,
paint the sky with your color,
defeat the sun and shame it with your presence,
scare him with your thunder,
wipe him off from sky's face,
outshine him with your grace,
exhaust him in this race,
embarrass him, destroy his base,
come down cloud, reveal your pace,
hit the planet like an ace.

Set the trees free, please be fair,
deliberately they dance with no care,
delightfully tail the wind sans fear,
wet feathers can't fly,
stronger ones give it a try,
squeezed they seem and look up the sky,
delayed so long, i should have died,
missed you long , have i survived?

Beat the earth's dusty face,
show no mercy, spare no base,
let it know how it tastes,
when you arrive and make haste.
Watching a marvel,
you destroying the gravel,
witnessing a wonderment,
standing so close in amusement,
beauty of your presence capturing each moment,
finding self in nature's lap and endowment.
Filling my heart with spirit and joy,
life is beautiful i know why,
timeless moments at the window,
precious emotions shared with the window,
the door or the window?,
window o' heaven!

Sun

Smoking spitter,
Hell is where is holiday,
We watch you stare us down,
Falling, but held in heaven's black old town,

Son of no father,
Father of everyone,

Is your kind of fire in my kind of heart?,
We are all born blind,
So do we all shine from the start?,

Sitting between the shine and shade,
Am I the "We" that you forbade?,
Watching you stare down,
Falling...
Still in heaven's black old town,
We just wait... for heaven's sundown,
We, as babies on the ground

Natures Dream

I walk through the field of green
My feet are bare and the grass squishes underneath me
The rain is falling like little pebbles soaking me in beauty
I breathe in deep letting its sweet scent fill my nose
Suddenly my feet are moving in a circle
I am dancing, dancing with love and hope
Love for the rain and its beauty
Hoping this moment will last a lifetime

My summer dress flowing in the wind
Until it’s sprinkled with tears from heaven
I can’t imagine anything greater than this
I have fallen in love with this day
This moment means only the world to me
The burning yellow sun peaks out of the clouds
Shinning down on me with its warmth
The drops ping against my face leaving a stream

I am still dancing in a circle now waving my arms in the air
The song of nature sings to me in the wind
It sounds like a dozen wooden flutes
The tune is sweet so sweet I get swept away in it
The grass is so green like emeralds from God
I fall from dancing and roll down the grass
The whole time I am laughing and it sounds as if the butterflies are too
My pretty white dress is now green

Butterflies dozens of them are flying around me
They surround me in their array of magical colors
They start to hum to the song of nature sung by the wind
It seems as if this tune is from heaven
I start to hum along to this wonderful tune it seems so familiar
I close my eyes and start to dance all over
	Letting nature take me away
Birds come and tweet along to the song
I don’t think I just do, I go along with the song

Finally the sun peaks all the way out
I can see it warming up the earth with its warm rays
The rain is still coming down just sprinkling over
I can see ahead a field of daises beautiful white daises
I run as fast as I can to the daises the butterflies and birds follow
They are soft like silk, their smell fills my nose
I close my eyes and run through the endless field of daises
I lay down and watch the fluffy white clouds pass overhead
The sun shinning as bright as ever over the clouds and sky

The sky is baby blue with a little purple
I have never seen a sky so wondrous
It looks so full of possibilities and magic
As I lay there I hear the daises moving in the wind
To the song of nature once again
This I know is beauty at its best
I fall asleep to the tune and awake in clouds
         I am home

A moody sky and sunshine grace

A moody sky above

is someone in a huff?

Now a smiling spell of

sunshine puts warmth

upon our face. We are

blessed with Gods good

grace. It's only a few

moments, before the rain

once more shall saturate.

As we gaze above fresh

water sprays our face. It's

actually refreshing, truly

          amazing.

Appreciate your life

Grasses green and things
unseen, that shining light
is not out of sight. By your
side an angel weeps and
tears from heaven are at
your feet.

Spring is in full
bloom what a beautiful sight.
What magnificent scents I feel
on top of the world, at the highest
height.

Time to get
up and go for a stroll, showing
appreciation for all that we've got.
Glance around breath in and out,
we indeed have a lot.

Look inwards
then look upwards, realise we are
truly loved from Heaven above.
Feel the bliss of creation, from a
glorious yellow sun kiss.

Changing
your life, the thought gives you a
fright! A lifestyle so lazy living in a
world that was hazy.

Now that haze
been lifted, you should see the gifts.
Be swift and do something about it,
there is only one true king.

Changing
your mind, now is the time. Name above
all names give our glorious Lord Jesus
the praise.

A Place In the Sun

Twilight comes and darkness spreads.
Children find it scary under their bed.
A noise startles you as you sit.
You peer off with fright into the darkness.
On the edge of your seat you sit.
Do not go into the darkness you stress!
In awe why someone would do this?
Only a place in the sun you confess.

Your twilight years and darkness spreads.
Childhood memories have nothing to dread.
Peer in delight through your lenses.
Noises of children at play fill senses.
Back in your seat you are content.
Knowing the darkness was not what you spread.
Hope and love life you tried to lead.
A place with the Son is what you confess.

The Sun, The Moon, The Stars, My Highway To Heaven

The Sun, The Moon And The Stars, My Highway To Heaven

As I sit on the moon, watching the stars fly by at the speed
of light leaving a trail of black light
I am thoroughly amazed at the powers that have been given
me by a loving and caring GOD.
I watch the brilliance of the sun from my perch, the waves
of vibrating light mesmerize my soul and I become
aware how all this is so right.
As I concentrate all of my power on what I am feeling and
what I am seeing I lay back on the moon and thank
	my Creator, my God
For allowing me into His space and time.

A Place in the Sun

A Place in the Sun
I could run all day, but you would still be with me.
You guide me to the Golden Gate since you are the key.
You block the enemy’s harmful tricks.
As he tries to steal all of your picks.
Please keep me calm and help me trust in you.
Even though I don’t understand all that you do.
Why am I still running when I have already won?
Through you I have found my place in the Son.

OH SOL, OH SOL

Oh Sol, Oh Sol,
You have been there to see it all.
From Meteors and Craters
to Meat and P'taters.

The Lord set you above us with distinctive ire,
to give Earth life by your distant fire.
You have seen the planets ever go 'round,
Continuing fixation as worlds abound.

Your warmth gave us the atmosphere we cherish,
from the first amoeba to the dinosaurs' perish.
Then, as we cooled in your radiant light,
Man was formed and stood upright.

We seem to have no lack of spunk,
as can be witnessed by our "space junk".
We have seen your eclipses a time or two,
We have visited the moon, and other planets too.

What we lack is a humble nature,
for Man is but a prideful creature.
We think we are the "Cat's Meow",
when all we are is the back end of a sow.

We will be humbled and afraid as you slowly grow,
Swallowing planets along the way as you go.
So, when the Lord tells you to finally fall,
Remind us of His forgiveness, Oh Sol, Oh Sol.
