Like The Sun

Like the sun awakened, from slumber grey
Blessing every tortured fray
embraced my soul, your glorious gaze
and set my lonely heart ablaze
like the sun amass a brand new morn
upon your whispered wind was born
our love, till endless ages sworn
like sun enveloped, rainy days
you devoured all my hopeless haze…
and since dost now my heart amaze
with joy and laughter, lifes’ rephrase
but like the sun, twas time to set,
now life dost seem just wretched fret
sunless days chase moonless night
drifting along alas lonely plight
A Godly gift you were to thee
rewarding every desperate plea
now I must sail amidst raging sea
blind to hithers destiny.
But I shall rise above the moon
Amidst the troubled waters swoon
For love like ours it strengthens mast
To ride relenting waters vast
Till time dost ask for my return
To the place my tethered soul doth yearn
And all my cares shall be set free
your womb my love this soul shall flee
where thine was always meant to be
in Heavens Grace… Eternally

THE HEALING SUN

THE HEALING SUN

Painful long night passed
Tears on pillow ran many
Dreams forgot to come

Sun came through window
Found lonely suffering heart
Healing wound at once!

Scarlet Moons and Indian Suns

Written August 29, 2013

She could have had my son
As we'd spell our names as one
On scattered ocean shores
Beneath that Indian sun

I loved my ma
And I loved her well
I loved my pa
And that musty smell

I hope to see them some day soon
I hope to see them smiling too
This Earth they left a bit too soon
Much thanks unto the scarlet moon

Some day well all be joined as one
Under scarlet moons and Indian suns

I love my family
How I miss this feeling
Of constant embrace
Awaiting at my feet

So come and pray for rain
To wash away our pain
Before the winter stains
What autumn left to drain

I hope to see them some day soon
I hope to see them smiling too
This Earth they left a bit too soon
Much thanks unto the scarlet moon

Some day well all be joined as one
Under scarlet moons and Indian suns

The Lonely Army

When wind’s silence
heralds boundless oblivion
and the trembles of cracked earth
raise the dust of tears
dried by the boundless footfalls
of sallow flesh

When a thread of gold
brings unearthly thought
and the misconception
of suns fallen
drives foolish men to their knees
in unending tremors

An army of one
frees the air from his fingertips
and stays not his opal blade
as it bites the rotted gray necks
of kings released from their wrongful bliss
by his trembling palms

An army of one
unconstrained by nature’s volume
freed by the sin of his naivety
yet, bound by earth’s oldest secret
as the scarlet sun weeps
its bloodied tears

An army of one
his cloak worn through
by the acid blood of his deception
and his bones stilled;
the branches of a dying oak
which no longer caress the wind

Autumn Sun

You will find me again

In the place you’ve never been

Once everything’s said and done

In the heart of the autumn sun

When the weather drips its hues

Faint, fading colors

 the leaves will lose

Drop to the earth

 with a hint of white

Falling under trees

 In the days’ waning light

Waves of Gold grown old

All your secrets and troubles untold

You shall call and I will hide

Forever will I be by your side

Haiku for Japan

I try not to say
Sorry to Japan the morn
Sunshine of Asia

I won’t be tempted
To further cloud this sore heart
With my sea water

It is not distance
That holds back the salty fluid
From my eyes but love

My own apartment
Is flooded with Japanese
Electronic stuffs

My countrymen are
Just like the moving sun and
Cannot not be there

My American
Friend’s a teacher in China
Shining so, so close

Japan has become
My backyard in this new world
Small global village

And the eyes also
Suffer the heat of pepper
Eaten by the mouth

So your pain, Japan
Has clouded my sanity
Yet I say weep not!

For by blood have kings
Wore their crowns; and with blood have
Empires been painted

And in blood do women
Deliver forth newborn babes
Blood brings good tidings

By blood had Asia
Risen above its storms. Ask
India, ask China

So weep not Japan
For blood does bring good tidings
In all climes and times

Let the rain wash off
The pain from your memory
The rite is over

Let the sun renew
Your seas and shores to prepare
You for the new dawn.

The Setting Sun of Yesterday

Gone too far away, you can’t hear me call,
Beginnings to the end ,I stall,
I wish you were more than,
The setting sun of yesterday
Where do you hide on such a rainy day Monday,
I see now ,it wouldn’t be Heaven without you,
I patiently wait for you,
You who has recently gone,
Only a memory to spare,I wish I had known you more.

Africa III

Heart pounding
Nervous feeling
Overwhelming
Deep breath to shake it
Cold chill slivers down fast

Beating against cage of heart
Cage of body
Cage of soul
Legs begging to run
Heart aching to be free
Truth to self
aching to be seen

Sweet scent of dry savannah plains
Sharp smell of thorny veins
The aroma of Africa surrounds
Scents sights sounds
In these home is found

Frustration mounts
Captured leopard
Bound

Snarling at every motion made
Scared but defiant
Blinded by fear and rage

Paws long for endless journeys
On paths walked centuries ago
For elegance in element
A space all her own
Where earth still bleeds red on horizon
Morning and night
Continuing the endless fight

Fight for borderless freedom
Everlasting sight
The pale yellow green eyes
Dismays the truth inside
But tell the story
Of wild soul
Story to unfold

Among the trees

It started with a smile,
Running after this beautiful butterfly
And ended with a group of pile,
Burning its ashes in the sky.
The gravitational force of the forest,
Was like the utter submission of the soul
Giving your whole days racing after the harpist,
And forgetting all about the black hole.
The stroll was full of glee:
Harpists, butterflies and no plea.
Unexpectedly, being blinded caused disorientation
Finding yourself lost among the trees,
And your heart just full of hesitation
You came to a dead end where you flee.
Days passed like lingering years,
And you didn't have a single weapon not even spears.
It is time when you implored the Sun;
To show its light even if beneath the glum
It is time when you pleaded the moon;
To never let the dark cause any doom.
A flaw realized after the agony..
But it was said that it wasn't a tragedy.
They were just some injuries;
To teach you that life is full of miseries.
Never reproach yourself
Some trees appeared in your way
To show you that you are more than an elf.

Until The Sun Rises Red

~ I feel it again... It's the pain that engulfs and keeps all my daydreams asleep on the shelf I had shaken it off with the rise of the sun but it comes back, again to the dark, where it's from The grief that will come in the thick of the night, constricts all the air right out of my lungs. It creeps up the stairs where the corners are bare and fills them with ghosts of a yesterday, gone I hear the old weeping and the sounds of goodbye that comes while I'm sleeping, and leaves me to cry I feel the same dread at the foot of my bed And grief lingers with me until a sun rises red __________________________________ Inspired by the contest: " The Pain In The Night" Sponsor: Tammy Reams 3/8/15

My Shadow

Blackness, a dark version of me, badness, negativity.

No matter how fast i run or were i run too your right behind me.

Even the brightest sun doesn’t destroy you, you only exist because of me.

All i know is when i face the darkness you disappear, but to only return when the sun rises.

Ecliptic Silence

Hopeful but its so mundane
Filling the hollowness with more empty pleasure
But it takes my hand and and walks me through this withering decay
Into the ecliptic silence,
Self medicated diluted dreams
A mixture of over stimulation and desensitizing me
Somewhere between ominous and beautiful
Letting the darkness consume my conscious brain
Until the sun can realign and pulls me back into this day
To overcome this strange numbness
Of self inflicted shadowing
Butterflies once warmed me up inside until I pulled off all their wings
Holding memories I cant forget while praying to a God who has forgot
But we are only allowed to keep the things that we have already lost
Sometimes living is not enough without sovereignty
As these flightless insects crawl back inside
Then perhaps through their death life would be more satisfied
Finger deep I draw a line then stand to face a blackened sky
I reevaluate Your presence now without You Lord then where am I
Because this is me You were my light, subsequently my faith has died
Somewhere below the surface of this shifting unstable world of mine

Pouring Sun

Breathe in and out and don’t fall for the lies of society
We are breathing in pollution of poverty
Heartaches are blameless, but I am blameful
Shattered and insignificant…left on the floor…wasteful

Apparently, you are different and better than me
Aren’t you lonely and fading?
Running my mouth and flipping out frankly, frankly
Can’t believe you’re miserable and hating!
Press your body against my own…
We are one, no longer two
Like black and white skies…we blend…you’re my backbone
Right in front of the insanity of my sadness so blue

You’re so distant and far from my reach
Your love, your kind of dynamic love I beseech
Fast speed of shapes shape-shift right before my eyes
Love is working and you run me over by your lies

Apparently, you are different and better than me
Aren’t you lonely and fading?
Running my mouth and flipping out frankly, frankly
Can’t believe you’re miserable and hating!
Press your body against my own…
We are one, no longer two
Like black and white skies…we blend…you’re my backbone
Right in front of the insanity of my sadness so blue

Pouring sun drenches in my eyes of reflections and shadows
Collecting woes…bruises and clues of faithless woes…
Holding unto me once more, winter froze me long ago
Shades and hues of uncertainty clothe us all…so? So?

Apparently, you are different and better than me
Aren’t you lonely and fading?
Running my mouth and flipping out frankly, frankly
Can’t believe you’re miserable and hating!
Press your body against my own…
We are one, no longer two
Like black and white skies…we blend…you’re my backbone
Right in front of the insanity of my sadness so blue

You ignored my calls and messages of a billion light-years of love
Don’t you know, you little sparrow, that wings of flight comes from up above?
Sacred sanity crowns my head and I pray you sift out the dread
Shielded by God’s royal grace, I see your face with an outlandish, yet total trippy trace

Beautiful as you were to me,
You’ll never, ever see it, the beauty
The beauty
The beauty I long to be…
I long to be…
Free,
Can’t you see?
Will you ever see?

Apparently, you are different and better than me
Aren’t you lonely and fading?
Running my mouth and flipping out frankly, frankly
Can’t believe you’re miserable and hating!
Press your body against my own…
We are one, no longer two
Like black and white skies…we blend…you’re my backbone
Right in front of the insanity of my sadness so blue

So blue…if only you knew
So blue…if only you knew
The dark secrets of time
You got to try…
You got to try to fly
Internalizing isolative comments
Negativity and what not
Has left me to rot

Apparently, you are different and better than me
Aren’t you lonely and fading?
Running my mouth and flipping out frankly, frankly
Can’t believe you’re miserable and hating!
Press your body against my own…
We are one, no longer two
Like black and white skies…we blend…you’re my backbone
Right in front of the insanity of my sadness so blue

Enflamed by encouragement
Deflamed by discouragement
Holding in resentment
Deceived by the heart many-a-time…
Pardon my lack of enthusiasm…sin is crime
Sin is crime
Sin is crime
In a flick of a dime

Apparently, you are different and better than me
Aren’t you lonely and fading?
Running my mouth and flipping out frankly, frankly
Can’t believe you’re miserable and hating!
Press your body against my own…
We are one, no longer two
Like black and white skies…we blend…you’re my backbone
Right in front of the insanity of my sadness so blue

Whatever or whoever you want to become,
Be that person, not the numb victim of dumb
For you are not dumb, you are smart
And smartness comes from the heart
I memorized it by heart
The moment we both broke apart

“Be a dream-catcher, not a dream-destroyer”

“Demolish not and construct a lot”

Pouring sun has won
Dim moon has lost

The Sun Goes Down On My Days

My writings are merely shadows of my regrets

The taste of sadness, of thoughts left unsaid

Touches not felt -

Tears that dried, leaving salty traces

The feeling of emptiness in my hands, my arms

Walking slowly through my memories...

I long for the moment to come

when I can reach up and touch the sky

I long for one last, unending kiss

I wish I could say "no regrets" as I muse all alone

Now- in a deep shade of purple the flowers fall asleep...

as the sun goes down on my days

SAVAGE SUN

The glaring sneering Sun has
Beat me down to the pavement.

The hot the heat
The flaring has won.

The. Violent engagement beastly
Perspiration beseigement

Beaming steaming gleaming
Dazed AMAZED seeking shade
From deathly rays.

Prone to bemoan the scorching
Phase of days of UNFALLING RAIN

Nick named SMOKRD AND turned
FIRE STARTER SUN
Churned and burned

Live like theres plusure to be found

The sun dies and the moon comes to life,....

I lay awake dreaming, what life could be like,....

If I could turn back the hands of time,....

And live life from the beginning with Rhyme....

As tears lay dormant and my cries remain silent,....

My past attacks me with a depression so violent,....

I try and count the stars, but I get lost in my confusion,....

I try to recall good times and end up with an illusion,....

I can’t see what is real and I can’t feel what fake,....

So how do I live when life is too easy to break?....

I laugh, I cry, I stand, I sit, I live, I laugh, I try to forget,....

All the pain but my memories, always insist,....

Push and shove until I give in,....

This demon is to evil, how I can win,....

I lost my heart; I found a block of ice,....

I replaced it so now I shall remain cold for life,....

I try and change but this pain keeps reminding me,....

That no matter how hard I try, I’ll never be free,....

From my past. From this unyielding pain,....

And that I will always live within a storm of constant rain,....

.. ..

So as the sun dies and the night sky comes to life....

I try and count the stars, with hope that everything will be alright....

I pray that my pain will cease and that my mind will slow down,....

So until it does, I shall live like there is still pleasure to be found....

Grief Comes Not When the Sun Leaves the Sky

Grief comes not when the sun leaves the sky
And the leaves on the trees are left
With only the breeze to talk to.
And the fox in his hole,
Whose eyes surreptitiously snap and
Growl at reeling snakes,
Looks up and sees that
Yes indeed his protectors are twinkling
To life in the night.
