Dear God, when the sun rises,
I can only wish for a better day.
I'm not looking for consolation prizes;
I know life can't go entirely my way.
I just want to love and be loved,
To have hope and a great faith.
Sometimes the choices in life are tough,
After sunrise creates a new day.

Summer is here once again.
The breeze is warm,
I smell salt on the wind.
The same sandy beach between my toes,
The same waters I learned to swim.
Sun burn on my nose,
To the Ocean I dive in.
I submerse myself in the waters of the Atlantic
Warmer than the West Coast Thankfully
Cold, I simply cannot handle it!
Further out I paddle faithfully,
For my mother ocean to keep me sane,
this is my therapy,
to soothe this migraine.
This place gives me energy,
a weakness with a name.
Pleasure Island, NC.
A place hidden with fortunes
and undiscovered fame.
Never could I stray from the ocean
my passions would never be fulfilled
and I would never be the same.
Dedicated to my Dad on Father's Day 2013
The man who introduced me to the ocean and educated me about it and gave me reason to love appreciate and respect it.
I know its the summer time because of how naturally
Your beauty compliments the caress of a summer breeze
As I watch the world from beneath a shady tree
I take in the delightful comfort of everything I see
But in the same breath I am holding up my hands
Lord will you please give me back the things I no longer have
They are even more a part of me now that they are gone
As the sun falls below where the horizon is still holding on
Somewhere between the falling light and a star lit night
Is a dream that last forever and will never say goodbye
As the wind gently blows through the brush and shakes the leaves
It begins to hum a melody that I want to sing
At that very moment I smile for all the joy I have
Its so uplifting for me to see melancholy dance
Soon the morning sun will rise and capture my eyes
As I watch the hand of God paint a brand new sky
With every stroke of color I swallow all my pride
And I find a new place to dream of endless times
If I should ever get to the place I left my broken heart
Only then will I believe this brand new day will start
Again Im reminded of why my heart beats so restlessly
Only the speed of thought and my soul beneath this tree
Patradoot or The Messenger 38 /Many

Late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor
The charm and beauty of her lovely eyes, dear,
I could not find even in the loveliness of a deer,
Such are the fascinating charms of her eyes,
Even the Sun would not come out feeling shy.
If any tears would appear in her eyes by mistake,
It would get burnt by the shine of her eyelids, dear letter,
Even the bunch of deer moving here and there
Would feel shy to behold the beauty of such eyes.
Such lovely pairs of my beloved’s eyes would be luster less
Because of her long waiting for me and her silent sobbing,
The moment she would see and hear you, dear letter,
Tears would start coming out from her eyes like rivers.
Her face use to shine like the full Moon, dear letter,
After the tender touch of my love rains,
In compassion of seeing such beauty of her, dear,
The Moon too would feel shy to appear before her.
During the chewing of beetle leafs dear letter,
Her lips used to get red, darker than the lotus petals,
Seeing even Sun with its alluring redness would feel,
Shy to come out before my beloved, dear letter.

Patradoot in Hindi was originally written by my late father
Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor around 1932, who was a freedom fighter.
He wrote Patradoot in Hindi, when he was kept in Faizabad Jail for quite
a long time. The Epic was written as a gift for my mother and it was
sent to her secretly from Faizabad Jail. He was imprisoned
by the British, as he was fighting for India's freedom
under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. He was imprisoned
many times during 1920 to 1947. After India’s
independence as a true follower of Gandhi Dr. Amar Nath
Kapoor left active politics and devoted rest of his life in
writing easy mass literature and wrote many Dramas,
Poetry books, epics. All his other literary
works were mainly written from 1955 to 1990.
He left this mortal world in 1994.

The wind blows the rainbows down
Turns your frown upside down
Then spins it back around
The sun hides the moon
Underneath its coat in bloom
The flowers came late this June
The rain in a teardrop
Falls like dew from a leaf
When she looks at me
See that look upon her face
Used to take her to the stars
Now she's headed back from Mars
Now that Venus loves her more
Wouldn't throw her to the floor
Close your eyes for awhile my friend, I heard there lies a moon far behind the black sky, I heard lovers were dancing beneath, can you hear them singing? I can feel their tipsy steps making rhymes on floor, and smell of perfumes filling the air, I heard a sun rises to brighten up their world, and birds do sing them charming melodies at morning, they say they have roses in colors and beautiful trees in the streets, and have they told you about the sea yet? They say it smells so wonderful and the delicate air of seas caresses their cheeks with soft wet breezes, oh my friend, what have we seen in the dark but the fragile ghosts that we are!
“Hush” whispered to me, “I lighted up a moon inside my heart and I smell lilies and jasmine in my nose, my dreams play tunes my heart dance on, they speak to me all night and there I see a starry night floats above, I feel the warmth of a sun in my soul as it hugs tight, whispering to me hymns of love and joy, lightening candles for hopes which had accompanied me amongst the dark, why have you closed your eyes my friend? Look through the colorful roses I painted for you with eyes wide open, let the lights off so you would see clearer, let the lights off so you can brighten up the world that hides with you, for my friend, what have we seen in the dark but the free spirits that we have become!

Soft sun, dripping through
the trees, landing on
her smiling face.
Waves made of laughter
crashing down in dreams
lost in the cool light.
Gone are the days of
fanciful sights and gold memories.
Now she has seashell thoughts and
ocean air dreams.
Wind and salt against her skin,
soft, crushed powder beneath her tanned feet.
Smelling sea breezes calms her mind.
Melodies that the ocean plays just for her,
making her soul dance.
Black foggy darkness swallowing me whole
enveloping me in madness I can't seem to control
dripping smoothly down my throat it stings
horrible grotesque aftertaste it brings
clamping tighter can't breathe, lungs burst
grasping the lasting soul dream to quench my thirst
plunging head first I tear through asunder
crashing off these empty walls like sharp lighting and thunder
light breaks, a dawn thrust forth and born again
Ascending I break the surface towards the sky
a blue and white rhapsody of ribbons floating by
sparkling droplets shimmer in my eyes
i awaken, my dream has ended.
Freedom sings in the nature of things.
Warm gusting winds.
Bash against the leaves of a tree.
It makes a sound purposely calming to the ear.
Beneath the trees roots do grow.
Freely and free.
Free burning flames of the sun blind the eye.
As free roaming clouds set free the sky.
Plants of the earth dances.
Its partner the free blown breeze.
Hump back whales jump above the sea.
Are you as free as nature and its unpredictable course of dances.
Can you stare into the free burning flames of the sun?
A stare of freedom, the sun has won.
Will your eyes stay open, like wildly free tides that hit the sands.
Stroll with me in freedoms steps
A freedom nature kept.
Pick up a pen and set its ink free.
Or use your blood on paper and set your self free.
Many say they love to write free poem verses, but they erase and cross out their free poetic verses.Oh come write with me on natures freedom leaves.Let free blown breeze run up your sleeves.
Erasing and crumbling paper, a freedom tease
Borrow my free pen and freedoms keys
A free flowing freedom cant freeze, nor cease
Take my pen and write with ease.
No crumbling,no erasing.
Just freedom please
I wake to the crisp winter air
I feel the wind so cool in the night
My soul seems to want to take flight
I hear the lonely winds so cool in the clouds
the birds chirp a song to waken the others
two hungry shadows lurk in the breeze
So dark this morning in time
waiting for the sun to rise
I hear scampering around the tree's
Hoping to hear your voice
hoping to see your hand in my day
seeing the shadows keeps me longing for your embrace
The sun rises and the leaves seem crisp
ready for snow this morning
the clouds are grey and the wind seems to have
I close my eyes and see the sun
the sun shines deep in my soul
waiting for my master to take control.
