It's Never Too Late

His lifeboat drifted aimless; scorching days and chill of night,
with no hope of rescue within his dizzying, blurred sight.

Hunger gripped his belly in long piercing pangs.
Deprived; life giving liquid, his body, now was drained.

He'd heard stories of both, the devil and Jesus man.
Simply disregarding them; he never took a stand.

"God help me"; empty words repeated in desperation.
No manna dropped from heaven, nor miracle hydration.

Feeling shunned by the one, he called upon the other,
" I'd give my soul for a crumb and a thimble of fresh water."

Parting the curtain of fog, stretched an ancient taloned hand.
"Give yourself to me, and I'll gladly meet your demands."

The devil's seductive voice; at first music to his ears.
We'll feast on souls of nonbelievers, and drink their desperate tears.

Beckoning him from port side, slowly starboard his head turned.
The devil's real, then so is Jesus; his latest lesson learned.

Squeezing his last drop of strength, he managed to his knees.
Through blood stained lips, the sinners prayer; "Father, forgive me, please."

These dying words, barely uttered, he stood at heaven's gate.
My God is a merciful God... Repent... It's never too late....

Holy is The Lamb

Deep in my heart I search Oh Lord
Deep in my wretchedness I pray
Deep in my soul I cry for words
Words oh Lord, deep words worthy
To praise your Holy Lamb

How could I with human tongue
How could I with this spotted soul
How could I the unworthy one
Sing praises, how oh Lord
Sing praises worthy of the Lamb

Will I ever have the words oh Lord
Will I ever sing your song
Will I ever be around your throne
Where there I will praise,….praise
The Holy Lamb

I search the earth your hands have made
I search the sky, the clouds above
I search your flowers and your trees
Yet in their beauty none, none compare
To the beauty of the Lamb

Oh Holy Lamb please hear my plea
Oh Holy Lamb look in my soul
Oh Holy Lamb dispense your grace
That I oh Holy Lamb, I may have the words
To sing forevermore, Holy is the Lamb

Faith Is A Powerful Thing-

Faith is a powerful thing,
asking for absolute trust.
It allows you to believe
that you are not all alone,
here in the shadow of death.

In times of persecution,
some souls have little else.

And yet it’s unshakeable.

Praying perpetuates hope,
opening your heart to God.
When you first feel Him enter,
everything in life changes.
Routine tasks take new meaning,
filling existence with purpose.
Until then you felt empty,
languishing in misery.

The love between you and God,
has only strengthened your faith.
It’s His love that sustains you,
not the words of those that say
God is nothing more than myth.

MY SOUL AND I

MY SOUL AND I

The Spiritual harmony of the Soul
 notes I hear early morn
Better life may be the earnest goal
 yet weakness comes when born

Sunlight sends its beauty to me
 birds sing a morning tune
Life begets its wonderful mystery
beautiful as light of the moon

Each day imparts lessons to learn
 hours gifted to be alive
Work done, midnight oil to burn
 on love one can thrive

Life now sends me gifts anew
 dances with a true love
Discoveries very old and true
all sent by our God above

Gleanings for the Soul to tend
 salvation depends not on you
For true love man must depend
On our Savior having paid all our due!

Robert J. Lindley, 10-15-2014

Man is a lost traveler , searching for a calm port in the midst of a raging storm.
His spirit cries out for relief,
for a saving belief,
for love and sweet life to be a norm
Alas, tis not to be
life is oft a stormy sea
no refuge from it to flee
unless with faith , true salvation is plea....
simply, sincerely ask and will be granted to thee....

Brahma I

If Brahma is Brahma I also am Brahma,
then why am I wandering on a not real way
holding something I don’t know in my hand?

I can lead my life toward good
because everything is Brahma, but I can live
an evil life as well because everything comes from my ego.

If Brahma is Brahma I can cross over the ego
bury myself in meditation,
though it may be a lonely
and a trying way.

Gather ashes from six* burnt senses
and walk on the nonexistent way
because I am a naught substance,
though to be in a mode to attain spiritual awakening,
my ego, stands in the middle of good and evil
unable me to shake off tenacious carnal desire,
it compels me to keep walking on the path of evil passions

and if the terminal goal of life’s never ending circle is
an attainment of spiritual awakening,
and spiritual awakening is to walk in light,
the brightness is the way;
however, paradoxical, in a sense, is also true

stupidity and ignorance though lay in the darkness,
it may also be the way. Yet, the problem of life is
still laying under my foot; and that is the chain of anguish
which would never, ever, be cut off;

I, therefore, collapse on the way
while dragging the chain of a great weight
it may be the end of anguish, a knot of a life’s circle,
or a moment of a pause in the ever changing world,

or it may well be a renewed life in Faramita the world of Paradise,
or the beginning of another anguish in the transmigration of the soul,
and that’s why I believe the nonexistent substance is the way
to Brahma which is one same substance.

Tat tvam asi, I am the Brahma
Tat tvam asi, That art thou

*Six senses: five basic physical senses plus soul or intellect.

Brahma II

—Brahma eva idam visvam(1)—

A life neither has beginning because beginning is Brahma
or end because end is Brahma, it rides on a wagon named Karma(2)
and goes as a wheel whirls.

I came to this very spot becoming a sun, a moon and the stars
following the stream which carries anguish, and one day
I must cross; since it’s impossible to see the past because
there is no beginning or end, I wonder how to manage a day
when everything changes without beginning or end;
I came this far becoming a sun, a moon and the stars
and wandering in a wasteland looking at the bridge
beyond eternity.

In this barren soil:
though flowers bloom, they smell of death
that tempts to ruin me;
though there is a spring,
it’s bubbling sand seen in a mirage to intensify my thirst;
though there are fruit bearing trees,
the taste of fruit is more bitter than Eden’s forbidden fruit;
though there are snows,
they come as a blizzard and pierce the skin to tear it to pieces.

Since Brahma is on the other side of Elysium
no matter how much you wander in this boundless barren land,
though it may seems within hand’s reach, you would never be able
to touch; because your anguish, the reality of life is nothing more than
pursuing a pain, a spinning of a wheel of Karma.

Although my body is worn out
I have no place to lay my body down;
although my wounded soul is wailing
no place to bury my soul to rest,
and if this is my Karma to be accepted,
how do I untie these entangled knots of anxiety.

I exist, therefore my six(3) senses feel and perceive reasons,
then, how do I denounce this Sabba,(4) or deliver from suffering,
for that is the reason I exist.
All phenomena, however, to undergo everyone as Atman(5)
carrying their own Karma, because Brahma is everything
and Karma is the footmarks of ever changing mundane world.

1. Brahma eva idam visvam: Brahman, indeed, is this world-all. 2. Karma: destiny.
3. Six Senses: five basic physical senses plus soul or intellect. 4. Sabba: this world.
5. Atman: soul, ego, or I.

The Hypocritical Christian

I am the hypocritical Christian.
I say I follow Christ,
But I'm still consumed by my demons.
I go to church on Sunday,
But I refuse to invite someone back.
I want to serve on mission,
But I'm too afraid to act.
They think I read The Bible,
But I just fall asleep in it.
They think I'm positivity and smiles,
But underneath I'm death and addictions.
They think I'm clean and pure,
But I'm broken and mistaken.
I say I'm not worthy of His love,
But Jesus will never let me be forsaken.
I pray long prayers,
But inside they're empty repetition.
It might look as if my faith is strong,
But my core is too easily shaken.
I say the things I'm supposed to say,
But don't follow His actions or obey.
I speak the truth the church wants to hear,
But deep inside on matters I don't know what to believe.
I walk in shame as if I'm not good enough
To be loved by God and saved through Christ,
But there is nothing I could ever do to earn His peace;
It's a free gift.
I accept;
Now forgiven, changed, and released.
Thank You God,
Thank You Jesus,
Thank You Holy Spirit!
In Jesus' Holy Name,
We pray,
Amen!

I Do Believe

"I Do Believe"

The purpose of LIFE is to {Living In Faith Ever}
to enrich God within us
to an optimum level
so that We as Humans
can be guided by God
to fuel out brothers and sisters
with the same driving force
to connect with the living God,
to His existence and
to See the Invisible,
Believe the Incredible, and
to Receive the Impossible
to our everlasting journey

THE LAST DAYS

The days seem to go by so fast. there is a void in the air, the birds have lost their vibrant beat, the ocean has lost its luster, the soil feels solid and dry.

My soul feels as if it has left my body before my death, my dreams haunt my day, the tears stain my steps, my doctor says that it is depression, I say that it is reality, I am intoxicated by society,I am numb by perscriptions.

Why do I feel so isolated within myself? is there no one in my painfully tight shoes? can anyone understand my pain? can anyone melt in my sorrows? why am I this way? why is the world so cruel? why can't I be normal?

Wait! I am normal, what am I saying, I know now, the veil has been lifted, humanity is my enemy, the sins that drip from their sweat, the dread that follows their shadows, their souls of black, their intentions of greed pull a shade across their eyes.

They are destined for doom, they will not be saved, they will not find salvation, they belittle me, they curse me, they shame me, but they are right about one thing, I am different, unlike them, I will be saved in the last days.

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

Money

Money money, ringing in your tills,
Calling us to worship,
The hundred dollar bills.
Bend our knees in wonder,
Bow our heads in awe,
At the power of the liar,
Who now controls us all.
From the darkest deep caverns,
To the stars in the sky,
From the infinite universe,
To the strangers passing by.

From your inner most conviction,
To your laughing in the night,
From everything you 're seeing,
To everything out of sight.

The new God has risen,
To claim the holy throne,
The one that we have emptied,
Our hearts all cold as stone.

The throne that we have emptied,
We killed the rightful king,
Sold his crown an sceptre,
Pawned his sacred ring.

Raised his bleeding body,
Up on that bloody hill,
The silent lamb still bleeding,
As the money fills your tills.

Reality's Angel

I am Reality’s angel resting on the broad shoulders of discovery the truth feeds darkness and engulfs its target ideas and concepts in turn become meaningless to you there is a creator of all things He is just and patient many still have fallen into the masses of shadow wrapped in their own filthy idols of philosophy I have seen grown men fall like rose petals and weaklings rise into unjust leaders forever the follower of furtive evil dominating only to remain inferior the most important answers lie in the unseen regions where no sense can fully give assurance the mind that so many unreasonably twist and turn grows weary because of the distance it must take and truth be told the distance is not what frustrates it is knowing we are seeking something far that could very possibly not exist, that our minds can twist into theoretical, idealistic nonsense it is knowing all we really think we know is meaningless and yes—even a lie all that has been written thus far rests under my wings under the warmth in which you refuse to feel can you believe in me— though I am completely unseen? how much more difficult would it be to see Him?

Pal

Bob had been a lonely man ever since
His wife of fifty years had passed.
“Lord, let me join her.” he would pray.
“Let this day be my last.”

Each day, he went to the cemetery,
Just a short walk down the street.
After their talk, he would water her flowers
And hear passers-by whisper, “How sweet.”

One gray and misty morning,
He had hoped for sunnier skies
To plant fall bloomers at her graveside;
But, there, to his surprise…

Stood an old dog beside her stone;
Thin and dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as Bob approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”

He sat calmly as Bob planted flowers,
Carefully sniffing each one Bob put in place.
Then, after the last one was planted,
He sniffed it; then turned and licked Bob’s face.

Bob smiled. “I had a dog when I was young…
Pal…he was a mighty good one too.
So, if you don’t mind old fella,
That’s what I’ll call you.”

Pal may have been an old dog,
But he was smart and handsome in his way;
So they made a deal, Bob would give him a meal
And a bath, if he decided to stay.

Pal loved his bath, then rolled in the grass.
He slept on a blanket in the den.
In the night, he dragged it next to Bob’s bed.
He intended to be Bob’s best friend.

Pal was such a good dog, housebroken too;
Never made a mess or got in trouble.
He knew about newspapers, slippers and Frisbees;
And when Bob called, he ‘d come on the double.

Yes, Pal gave Bob’s life new purpose.
A special bond of friendship was cast.
And never again did Bob pray,
“Lord, let this day be my last.”

For twelve years, the very best of friends,
Together night and day;
And so it was, until one night,
Both quietly passed away.

The next morning, an old woman,
Tears welling in her sad and lonely eyes,
Brought flowers to her husband’s grave;
But there, to her surprise….

Stood an old dog beside the stone,
Thin an dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as she approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”

He sat calmly as she took old flowers
And put fresh ones in their place.
He carefully sniffed the fresh ones,
Then turned and licked her face.

She smiled. “I had a dog when I was young...
a good one too. His name was Pal.”

Close Encounter with The Buddha

A decade and a half year ago
Explored Earth to and fro
Begging help and guidance too

Seeking knowledge from without
But to no avail answers were still kept
Keep wandering until Buddha and I met

Uttered words never heard
Radiates wisdom upon my head
Overrated queries were answered.

Searching green fields
Implanted splendid ideas

Partial distortions imposed
Multiple thoughts ahead
Others mislead and inspired

Savor a basket full of fruits
Wisdom earned with like minds

Lord, I've Been Hurting

Lord., I've Been Hurting!

This one thing I am
 most certain…
Lately I’ve been really hurtin’.

I trying to do right, but it
turns out “wrong.”
Where, in life,
do I really belong?

So many people
 pass me by.
Sometimes, someone
may say; “hi!”

I don’t know if this message is
 getting across?
I feel so confused and
completely lost.

A message of “help” has my
 prayer and plea…
For God to reach out to me!

He reached down and
made me whole!
HIS love and compassion
 filled my soul!

Spending time with Jesus
 is time well spent!
It was for you and me that
Jesus was sent!

God of Light

God of Light

I awaken
In the dark of night,
And face my lord
The God of Light

Who guides me
Thru the haze of pain,
And takes on him
My guilt and shame

My comfort
As he takes my hand,
And shows me
How to rise and stand

Sinless, blameless
Once again,
Because He chose
To call me friend

A wretched man
Though I may be,
He offers fellowship
To me

I lay no claim
To being just,
He gives me grace
In trade for trust

Impossible
For any man,
Without the mercy
Of “I Am”

The song of God
Is in my ear,
Calming each
And every fear

He sings
His weary child to sleep
This loving shepherd
To his sheep

Protected from
All earthly harm
As I slumber
In his arms

No longer frightened
By the night
My father
Is the God of Light

How I Need Jesus

Dear Jesus… I realize
how much I really need you!
  I want to honor,
love and trust you!

I know that others will
disappoint me…
I know that you’re here….
And will take care of me!

  Your principles of holy
living is what you taught!
Love, Joy and peace…
is what you brought!

 May I bring honor
 to your name!
Your message of salvation,
I need to proclaim!

Dear Jesus… You’re all I need!
 And so much more!
It’s you that my life
was meant for!

I offer to you, my lord,
praise and thanksgiving!
For all you’ve done,
 And the life you’re giving!

You all I’ll ever need!
The anointed one!
There’s victory in YOU!
Life’s battles are won!

Climbing Moriah

I am climbing up Moriah
With the thing I love most dearly;
On the mountain's heights above me,
I will see my God more clearly.
Incredible expectation!
For with the knife and holy fire,
I must on a stony altar
Bind up and slay my heart's desire.

O, this God of mine, all knowing!
Past my finite mind can see
In the distant, vast eternal
All that He destined I should be.
Only He can make a promise,
And He fulfills each sovereign vow;
Though He slay me, I will serve Him.
He led me here, I'll trust Him now.

The knife is raised; beyond the void
I dare not cast my weary sight;
I can hear no gentle laughter
In the deep canyons of the night.
I will look instead at Jesus,
And His command I will obey.
There are rams in all His thickets;
He is the Christ, the same always.

A Mother's Love

A Mother’s Love… How precious is the love of a mother’s heart! Even as a child… It’s there from the start. A mother’s love knows no boundary or limit. It’s often shown by how much the mother gives it! Whether her children are young or growing old… And whatever circumstances in life may unfold… Her love is continually a solid foundation… That can’t be removed, torn or shaken. Her love is what is a “guiding force…” Even if her children’s lives stray “off course.” I’m thankful for the love my mother’s given… It’s surely influenced the way I’ve been livin’! To all of our mothers across our great nation… May we show them our love and appreciation! Their love has stood and endured the test of time… I’m so glad that one of them is MINE! By Jim Pemberton

Happy

John was as a free bird, happy,
Living his life, happy.
When others were sad John, happy,
When John did go no one, happy.
For life is not long at all,
And man is a shadow on a wall,
A wall of time.

John our dearly departing
Death will end his suffering.
Cruel death will do him a favor,
As he will carry him to his Savior.
Writing his will he creates the kiss of death;
This kiss marks him till his final breath.

Here comes a pale horse click, clack, click, clack
Upon it sits Death click, clack, click, clack.
Death rides down the street,
He stops, he looks
For the man with no heart beat,
He enters more silently than the best of crooks.

Death left while carrying John,
Got on his horse and carried on.
John is now in Heaven;
Where no heathen
Nor sickness roam,
Sitting by the white throne;
Walking on the streets of gold;
Never to become old.
Happy... Happy...
Eternally... Happy...

The Game

My life has been one enormous charade,
A make believe game,
A play I have played,
A story I tell myself, day and night,
Hidden from myself, out of sight,
A game of hide and seek,
While searching for something else to eat.

The game,
A cosmic game,
A comic game,
A bad joke,
A puff of smoke,
A laugh,
A bath,
A lonely path,
The Game.

I used to take it so seriously,
Think it, feel it so real, so perfectly,

So certain I that was right,
That I lived in the light,
So convinced that I knew the rules,
So obvious I had all the tools,
That I saw the truth,
That I saw the light,
Would win the battle, win the fight.

Heard the sound of the distant drum,
Calling me to battle with the devious one.
The walls of my ego were high and mighty,
My dreams and delusions danced in front of me,
Their smooth dark surface impossible to climb,
Images I swallowed and thought were mine.

I made them alive, moving and real,
Twist and turn like a slimy eel,
Just to tell myself that I was still someone,
Playing in the game and having lots of fun,
Just to tell me and to tell you,
That I wasn't a loser,
So I wouldn’t hear the words game over.

Game over,
Check and mate,
Here's the gate,
You have to take,
Out of the Game,
The game of shame.

The game of avoiding being blue,
Of dogging the bullets they shot at you,
The atomic bomb they drop on your head,
The monsters that they put under your bed.

The game of hiding away,
Live to play another day,
Even if it's only make believe,
The prizes in plastic,
And not worth a dime,
At least I have the impression that they are mine,
At least I don't fell the pain,
The pain of shame,
In this perverted game.

So that I don't feel I'm a prisoner,
Tied to this post,
Don't even realise that I'm only a ghost,
That the truth is well hidden,
On the board of the game.

That the prizes are in plastic,
But they are shiny and new,
The paint hardly chipped,
The emptiness hardly shows through,
The laughing is loud,
The smiles are all warm and friendly,
And we are all together,
Joyful and happy.

The illusion is REAL,
And only the mad man knows,
That it's a rotten deal.

Tell Me

I'm lost hurt and angry
Why did you take his life
I want, No I need to know
Tell me, Tell me why
I deserve to know

Haven't you done enough to him
What'd he ever do to you
He suffered his whole life
Suffered more than anyone deserved
Tell me, Tell me why you did it
I have a right to know

Why'd you let him born to them
Born to worthless parents
Parents who didn't care
They threw him away like garbage
Pawned him off on someone else
Tell me, Tell me why
Explain how you could do that

You gave him Polio
You let others treat him like disease
You took away the full use of his legs
You warped his hand and foot
Tell me, Explain to me why
I deserve to know

You let others think he was crazy
You let it go on for over year
You didn't stop it, Why
Tell me, Give me your reason
Answer me God, Help me to understand

You go and make matters worse
You gave him Cancer
You didn't give him a chance to fight back
You just jerked him away from us
Tell me, Tell me how
How you could be so cruel

How can others not question you
When others do it, It's murder
But when it's by your hand
It's your will, Their fate
Tell me, What makes you so different
Your no better than the demons knocking at the door

You heard me beg and plead
You know I'm not afraid to die
I was willing to carry it all for him
I was willing to take my Daddy's place
You didn't even let me say Goodbye
Tell me, Tell me why I couldn't take his place
Answer me God, you owe me that much

What Is This Church All About

What Is This Church All About?

Is this church meant for people like me?
Is this where God really wants me to be?

They claim to be filled with God’s spirit.
When it comes to HIS truth... Can they give it?

I’m sure there’s many who come and attend
It’s more than “church on Sunday,” that we must spend!

We must reach out to the lost and the oppressed!
After all, Christ gave us his very best!

May we all preach the gospel and God’s holiness!
And strive to seek his awesome righteousness!

Living for Jesus must be a daily walk and experience!
Not simply based on our “ambitious self appearance.”

God isn’t interested in a denomination or a title…
He wants to know… Do we really believe the Bible?

He’s not interested in the money put in the offering plate.
He wants to know; “Are you ready
 to enter heaven’s gate?”

May we strive to serve Jesus with a zeal and passion!
And be filled with his holiness and compassion!

May we serve Jesus from a heart of humbled confession!
And making our commitment to him,
 our #1 possession!

“Unless the Lord builds the house.”
They labor in vain that build it!
Let’s seek the power of God!
May his presence completely fill it!!

May the Love of Jesus Touch You

May the Love of Jesus Touch You!

May the love of Jesus bless and touch you!
May his presence be with
 and uplift you!

May the joys of the love make
 you complete!
And touch you, from your
 head to your feet!

May the glory of the lord
 be with and keep you!
His majestic power can really touch you!

May the words that he’s spoken,
touch your spirit!
His mercy and salvation…
 He freely give it!

May the sweetness of Jesus,
 into your life bring!
His righteousness and beauty!
Your everything!

May you take some time
 with Jesus in prayer?
How much he loves you!
 How much he cares!
