"To All Christian Warriors Who Walk By Grace"

"To All Christian Warriors Who Walk By Grace"

Hold on tight to your Helmet of Salvation.

The helmet is spiritual and it aims to protect the mind
Do this not because your Savior seeks to take it
Do this because Satan tempts you to give it up.

Ephesians 6:17 Take the helmet of Salvation

and the sword of the spirit

which is the word of God

Ephesians 2: 8-9

The Lord saved us by His

special favor when we believed

we can not take credit for this

It is a grace-gift from Jesus Christ

 Salvation is not a reward

for the good things we have done

so none of us can boast in ourselves

  Bear ye one anothers burdens

thus forfilling the law of Christ

        LABORS OF LOVE

The Song My Heart Sings

Each morning as my eyes awaken
A lovely song in my heart is heard
Its melody is more than enchanting
It inspires me with amazing words

How could I ever live without you
Lord, why would I ever turn away
From your spirits song of deep love
Which within my heart simply stays

I deeply breathe your perfect harmony
Accepting your kiss of a love divine
Happiness paints my world beautifully
Since your wonderful gift became mine

Lord, I will always let the world know
How truly blessed my life really is
From that very first perfect moment
As you spoke to me the words I forgive

All that I thought would not be possible
Suddenly in an instant became very true
As my heart humbly responded joyfully
How much in life I really needed you

I will seek new ways each morning
To happily lift up your name in praise
Thanking you for making love a reality
As a treasured blessing which now stays.

The Battered Ship And The Anchor

My ship had sailed life’s restless sea, the sails were weak and tore.
The hull had had its share of dents from sailing close to shore.
The deck was rotting with decay from careless steps I took,
The ship seemed in such disarray just everywhere I’d look.
But then I saw the anchor there, so sturdy and so strong;
When I would cast it out, I knew it wouldn’t be very long
Until my ship would stop and stay where’er the anchor’s cast;
It was the only thing I had that seemed to always last.
I found that anchor like my faith I placed once in the Lord,
A true foundation, strong, secure there in His precious word.
It mattered not how frail the ship that I sailed on the sea,
Now that my anchor was in God He’d fix it up for me.
He wasn’t looking at my faults, but rather saw my need,
And so when I the anchor cast and to Him I did plead,
He took this battered ship of mine and became my Pilot true;
My anchor now on Him is cast for what He wants to do.
I’m glad He took my battered ship with all its disarray
When I in faith the anchor cast into His will that day.
For now not only is He guide as I sail on life’s sea,
He is the anchor that will hold--I’m safe eternally.

The Rose-The Thorn

A seed sprouted at the foot of the Cross, and was
watered by the Blood of Jesus.
Thorns had fallen from the brow of Christ and attached
themselves to the branches.
The petals opened to look upon the Son of Grace.
A red rose the color of His blood stained face.

The thorns had sharpened to a point to prick the feet
of Jesus, but, didn't prevail. Jesus had the nail.
A rose was born near a thorn, just like you and me.
Both will live eternally.
The rose will always bloom,
the thorn forever doomed.

The rose is a flower that one associates with love.
The beautiful delicate petals wrap around each
other as if to protect themselves from the thorns on
the branches. The rose have a meaning of their own.
On special occasions, to say," I love you so much,"
you will see the rose. They are the finishing touch.

Each petal sends out a fragrance that draws you near.
Thorns are just the opposite.
Flesh that gets in a thorn's path, feels thorn's wrath.
The rose, the thorn, so close, yet the petal is
protected, like our soul, a boundary has been set
from the one who paid our debt.

In the spiritual realm there is also the Rose and the thorn.
The Rose of Sharon, Jesus Christ, the living God, who
speaks, "I love you," to all the world.
The thorn, the destroyer, has hatred unfurled.
The Rose will always be the universal flower of love.
Jesus Christ is Love, sent from above.

Rain the Clouds

bring home a sweet memory in every doing
leave back nothing but take them home
a saviour waits in your midst never forget
take them all back home where they belong

from your heart to your soul its always yours
no matter when your time is right home surely is
no matter how far yet with a hope they wait
all for a home one waits, like a rain and a cloud

nothing breaks it apart day or nightfall it comes
even sometimes to a surprise like a thief at night
do not forget take all back home on a Calvary hill
where it all begin waiting to take you home

peace and security, love and joy
free at will in his arms as he waits
remember your heart alone it matters most
for its you and for you like rain and clouds

never leaving you out of his sight, a sinner or not
it doesn't matter only your heart to draw you home
give it all you have till you have no more
its all free for now just take me home.

A Lavender Day

                                     A Lavender Day

Lilacs and lavender bouquets held in a tiny hand
Blue and yellow striped dresses playing in the sand
Magic moments to share on a bright sunny day
Merry-go-round spinning dreams in every way

Blue overalls on young boys with muddy faces
Girls with yellow dresses who like their pretty laces
Gentle rain falling yet not washing away the fun
Here comes the teacher, and out comes the sun

Little bonnets worn carefully to mask out the sun
Galoshes squeak as the boys laugh and try to run
Watermelon days with so much to do
God planned this day just for me and you

Growth in understanding the faith

Thanks to the assistance of the Eternal Holy Spirit
The understanding of both the realities
The words of the heritage of faith
Able to grow in the life of the Church

Through the contemplation
Study of believers who ponder things in their hearts
Is in particular theological research which deepens knowledge of revealed truth

From intimate sense of spiritual realities which believers experience
The Sacred Scriptures grow with the one who reads them

From the teaching of those who have received
Along with their right of succession in the episcopate
The sure charism of truth

It is clear therefore that
In the supremely wise arrangement of EternalGod
SSacred tradition
Sacred Scripture
And the Magisterium of the Church are so connected
Associated
That one of them cannot stand without the others
Working together
Each in its own way
Under the action of the Eternal Holy Spirit
They all contribute effectively to the salvation of souls

The Day The Stone Cried Out

The stones were silent on that day when Jesus rode to town
While cries of loud hosannas came from people all around.
Some said that they should hold their peace and tried to still their voice,
But Jesus said if they would stop, the rocks would then rejoice.
But these were not the stones God chose to lift their voice to praise,
And so the voices of the crowd continued to be raised.
Then soon this happy crowd became a mocking crowd that cried,
“Away with Him! Away with Him! Let Him be crucified!”
He trudged along a stony street, the heavy cross He bore,
His body bleeding from the wounds and crown of thorns He wore.
And these stones, too, were silent as He headed up the hill,
For they were not the ones to speak, nor was it yet God’s will.
Then darkness veiled the noonday sky there on that awful day
When Jesus was left all alone, His Father turned away.
And as He spoke those final words, an earthquake shook the ground
And some were raised to life again from gravesides all around.
The restless rocks so wanted then to speak with their voice,
But they, too, then were quickly hushed, for they were not God’s choice.
They took the Savior from the cross unto a borrowed tomb,
They placed a stone to keep Him there and all seemed full of gloom.
This was a stone nobody thought would ever speak a word,
But after three days with a shout its loud, clear voice was heard.
That stone so silent all those years cried out upon that day
As with a thunder on the ground it loudly rolled away!
That was the stone that God had chose to cry to everyone
They could not keep that body there--He was God’s victorious Son!
That stone cried out that glorious morn, it still cries out today,
“The sting of death, the curse of sin is taken all away!”
That stone speaks of the one who died and went to hell for me
And conquered Satan and his foes and now He holds the keys!
That stone still cries to you today, oh listen to its voice,
Come to the Rock of Ages now--make Jesus Christ your choice!

Christ Child

In eternity past, the Father asks the Son to go down.
Having equal Love for humans the "Yes" comes fast.
When Creation leads to time, the world waits for 4 BC
Marking the start of the end of Satan's long rule at last.

Did Satan laugh at the poor setting for Jesus' birth here?
A cry in a cave for animals pierces the night, changing all.
Shepherds worship; later wise kings give precious gifts.
Mary and Joseph marvel, yet Herod's rage soon gives a call.

A call to leave quickly to Egypt where they'll live as refugees.
Sparing the Christ child a merciless death of those under three.
When Herod finally dies, Jesus' parents head back to Israel.
Still not fully safe from mad rule, Nazareth is their destiny.

Here the child will grow to be a man, following His parents rule.
Surprising the Pharisees with His wisdom at 12, at 30 riling them.
Preaching with authority, healing the incurable, loving the humble.
Women weep repenting at his feet; one's healed by touching his hem.

Zacchaeus risks going into a tree and finds Jesus' salvation so free.
Nicodemus comes at night to ask and ends amazed he's met God's Son
The Woman at the Well gets far more vital water than the usual kind.
And many healed can't but tell others of the miracle God has done.

The babe in the manger now stills the storm and his disciples believe
Even seeing the dead arise, like Lazarus in the tomb for four days.
Foretelling a greater rising coming but not before immense suffering.
The sword Mary was told would pierce her heart is soon on its way.

For most religious leaders cannot tolerate Jesus' lack of respect for them.
Calling them whitewashed tombs and pointing pride out to Pharisees.
Not endearing Himself with the establishment, but following God's way.
Knowing soon He'd be betrayed, arrested, tried and tortured brutally.

Still, he calmly feeds them body bread and blood wine in a final feast.
Tells them the Spirit comes, and prays they'd be one like Father and Son.
Heads to the Garden, prays to His Father for another way if possible.
Your will be done ends and the soldiers come and with Judas kiss it's done.

The most pure, innocent Man who's ever lived is now in hostile hands.
A trial by dark without witness or any rights – and off to Pontius Pilate.
Then Herod then back to Pilate whose wife dreamed Jesus was innocent.
But the people's cries to crucify win over – Jesus caught in intrigue's net.

The child of Bethlehem now hung on a Cross between two criminals.
The Light of the World by darkness and our sins is being slowly slain.
Feeling forsaken by God, but then "Into Your hands I commit my spirit."
Reunited and soon to show the world that this Child was no ordinary one.

Risen as Jesus predicted, for how can death conquer everlasting, perfect life?
From childhood to adult not one sin, not once yielding to Satan's temptations.
Proving we can have life eternal if we confess and believe in Jesus as our Savior.
Calling His followers in risen form to await the Spirit and share Christ to the nations

In Brief

What Father Christ entrusted to the apostles
In turn handed on by their preaching and writing
Under the inspiration of the Eternal Holy Spirit
To all generations
Until Father Christ return in glory

“Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture make up a single deposit of the Word of Eternal God”
In which
In a mirror
The pilgrim Church contemplates Eternal God
In her doctrine
Life and worship perpetuates
Transmits to every generation all that she herself is
All that she believes

Thanks to its supernatural sense of faith
The People of Eternal God as a whole never ceases to welcome
Penetrate more deeply
And to live more fully from the gift of divine Revelation

The task of interpreting the Word of Eternal God
AAuthentically been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church
That is
To the Pope
The bishops in communion with Him

Will Never Fail

Strengthen my spirit with your precious love
Always increasing my faith deep within
Help me, Lord, to overcome all adversity
And over worldly sins always help me to win

Unlock the deep in-dwelling power of faith
The spiritual essence which only comes from you
Pick me up each day and make me so clean
Guide me always in what i should pursue

Please never let the enemy overwhelm me
Always protect me Lord with your hands
Setting me always upon the solid rock
Whose power nothing can ever withstand

For you are the very first one to love me
In that time with you before I was born
Always keep me safe within your embrace
So I will never again taste of satan's scorn

For I am a child of yours the one living God
And of your sustaining love my heart will tell
Because of your perfect gift of salvation
My faith in your promises, Lord, will never fail.

The senses of Scripture

According to an ancient tradition
One can distinguish between two senses of Scripture
The literal and spiritual
The latter being subdivided into
Allegorical
Moral and
Anagogical senses

The profound concordance of the four senses
Guarantees all its richness to the living reading of Scripture in the Church

The literal sense is the meaning conveyed by the words of Scripture
And discovered byexegesis
Following the rules of sound interpretation
All other senses of Sacred Scripture are based on the literal

The spiritual sense
Thanks to the unity of Eternal God’s plan
Not only the text of Scripture
But also the realities and
Events
About which it speaks can be signs

The allegorical sense
We can acquire a more profound understanding of events
By recognizing the significance in Father Christ
Thus the crossing of the Red sea
Is a sign or type of Father Christ’s victory
And also of Christian baptism

The moral sense
Events reported in Scripture ought to lead us justly
As St. Paul says
They were written for our instruction

The anagogical sense
We can view realities and
Events in terms of their eternal significance
Leading us toward our true homeland
Thus the Church on earth is a sign of the heavenly Jerusalem

A medieval couplet summarizes the significance of the four senses
The letter speaks of deeds; Allegory to faith
The moral how to act; Anagogy our destiny

It is the task of exegetes to work
According to these rules
Toward a better understanding and
Explanation of the meaning of Sacred Scripture
In order that their research may help the Church to form firmer judgment

The New Testament

The Word of Eternal God
Which is the power of Eternal God for salvation to everyone who has faith
Is set forth
Displays its power in a most wonderful way in the writings of the New Testament
Which hand on the ultimate truth of Eternal God’s Revelation
Their central object is Jesus or Father Christ
Eternal God’s incarnate Son
His acts
Teachings
Mission and glorification
His Church’s beginnings under the spirit’s guidance

The Gospels are the heart of all Scriptures
Because they are our principal source for the life
Teaching of the incarnate Word
Our Savior

We can distinguish three stages in the formation of the Gospels

The life and teaching of Jesus or Father Christ
The Church holds firmly that the four Gospels
Whose historicity she unhesitatingly affirms
Faithfully hand on what Jesus
The Eternal Son of Eternal God
While He lived among men
Really did and taught for their salvation
Until the day when He was taken up

The oral tradition
For
After the ascension of the Lord
The apostles handed onto their hearers what they had said and done
But with fuller understanding which they
Instructed by the glorious events of Father Christ
Enlightened by the spirit of truth
Now enjoyed

The written Gospels
The sacred authors
In writing the four gospels
Selected certain of the many elements which had been handed on
Either orally or already in written form
Others they senthesized or explained with an eye to the situation of the Churches
While sustaining the form of preaching
But always in such a fashion that they have told us the honest truth about Jesus

The fourfold Gospel holds a unique place in the Church
As is evident both in the veneration which the liturgy accords it
In surpassing attraction it has exercised on the saints at all times

There is no doctrine which could be better
More precious
More splendid than the text of the Gospel
Behold and retain what our Lord and Master
Father Christ
Has taught by His words and accomplished by His deeds

But above all it’s the Gospels that occupy my mind when I’m at prayer
My poor soul has so many needs
Yet this is the one thing needful
I’m always finding fresh lights there
Hidden and enthralling meanings

A Blessing

I rise each day with a song in my heart
And so rich is its blossoming melody
For I know my heart has heard his call
Yes His dear precious call of life to me

I sleep so peacefully throughout the night
Dreaming lovingly of His grace which stays
I know he always listens to my prayers
For I daily feel His answers coming my way

I know I will never be left to strive alone
For his spirit has made my heart its home
And as I reach out to him with praise words
He eases the aches and pain within my bones

For His love is a very true healing medicine
Whose touch will evenly flow deep within
And with each tender blessing I receive daily
I know more embraces will come my way again

...because of His deep love for me.

A light in the dark

You are a light in the dark

the shadows follow but Your

love stands inside to keep me holding

Your hand so wide.

You are a light in the dark

it's scary out here in the

deep wide world that's not my home,

but Your love holds onto my heart

deep inside we never depart.

Your a light in the dark

when I feel so alone

You take hold of the inner parts

deep in my soul.

Oh Lord, how I long to be home,

YOUR my true light in the dark.

HUMBLE

You were born into this world for me
And for all who live that would believe
You appeared among all your creation
So from our sin you might set us free

Never have you ever charged a penny
For the living words which you would speak
Even though you appeared in the flesh like us
You never coveted wealth or sinful greed

Your hands reached out to all you met
As many hearts in this world you sought to lead
You never tried to profit from the poor and widows
But freely much in their hearts you would leave

You never chose to have much materially
Though everything In this world is yours
But humbly you came and lived among us
Enriching us with the grace you kept in store

Many always claim in you they believe
But from others they seek to take away
They want to be another’s lord and master
Leaving many destroyed spirits along the way

I only want to be Christ like in my dealings
For in my life there will never be another way
I want them to see what its like to live humbly
With your true spirit teaching them every day

Remember me my LORD, each day as I rise
While by your sweet spirit I am truly led
Permit me to always be humble like you
And never please forsake me my daily bread.

For my time is very fleet in this world’s life
And before by your grace I am called away
I want to help share your light into this world
So many might find life humbly following your way.

Holy Passion

ALERT: A carpenter's son is loose in the Temple
Birds flutter, animals hustle, merchants scream.
The zeal for Jesus' Father's house consumes Him
As the place for foreigners to pray had become a zoo.

ALERT: A prophet is setting up for a Baal battle.
Baal's priests even cut themselves yet no fire.
After taunting, Elijah fills his altar with water.
Calling on God, fire consumes and people bow.

ALERT: An old man is building a huge boat ship.
Without a cloud in the sky and only son's to help.
When finished the animals come on call to board.
Rain starts, doors close – 8 saved by holy passion.

ALERT: Jesus is telling a tax collector he'll join him for dinner.
Heedless of the Pharisees despising and the crowd's surprise.
Zacchaeus totally changes – offering to multiply stolen money.
A single sinner saved multiplies even more this holy passion.

ALERT: Peter plus are preaching in the Temple again.
After being imprisoned for just that, now rearrested.
Whipped by the authorities, the disciples rejoice -
For they've been counted worthy to suffer with Christ.

ALERT: Daniel's praying openly even after it's become illegal.
The royal advisers gleefully have the king throw him to the lions.
Strangely they don't seem hungry till after Daniel is pulled out.
So the king openly praises Daniel's God for this amazing miracle.

DOUBLE ALERT: Jesus is talking to a Samaritan woman!!!!
Breaking cultural barriers to share the message of salvation
To her who has been married 5 times and is living with the 6th.
She believes he's the Messiah and brings the town to Christ!

ALERT: Paul's going back into the same town that stoned him.
He's preaching again after shipwreck, jail, beatings, and such.
Persecution seems to encourage Paul that he's doing the right.
Passionately following the Savior who turned Him 180 degrees.

ALERT: Bible translators burned at the stake for God's Word.
Missionaries avoid death and disease long enough to share life.
Stirring Holy Passion in receptive people who repeat the cycle.
Changing cultures in bondage into those sharing Jesus' love.

ALERT: What passion has the Lord put on your heart? Mine?
Can we pray to see His will find its way in our everyday lives
So the lost shall see, hear, find Christ and grow to share Him?
Eternity is forever, this life is not. Fill us Lord with holy passion.

HOPE

HOPE BY N3
Slashed at the throat a blow aimed not at the esophagus but at the vocal cords
Paralyzed by something worst than fear,
Speech grows limp even as silent screams are constrained by shame’s chord.
Tethered like a felon and led by wary oppressors, fragile from blows and scorn,
Our soul stands trial before a court where the judge is rightly wrong.
Fused with chains our voices are imprisoned and the tear cavernous to reveal speechlessness in our gullet is the only sign of our voiceless enslavement.
In steps the first witness clothed in the shroud of despair, hunched from the weight of her truthful lies, testimony of that night of lust.
That night plays out clearly; more vivid than a motion picture is that night of this slavery, blown by ripple of our thoughts, we wobbled from the comforts our beds into the confines of sexual promiscuity.
Then the witness speaks of how thirsty we seemed to taste from the well of fiendish desires even when our spirits recoiled from that fetish neediness.
Now we stand guilty of not only our immorality but also damned so we grope like one lost soul unsure of its mortality when kindled in hell’s fires.
Now a murmur of distaste and a sigh of revolt as the witness go on, not one, not two, not three not four of times we met.
No objections and no cross examinations, the court sits shouting silent accusations cause in the emptiness of our fall the only defendants present are our faults boldly stamped to our essence,
So our souls are judged and found accountable of fanning wrongness, guilty of backsliding to a third degree.
Yes even when in church we decree in hymns our convictions of faith, yet we accept our blindness as rightness failing to visualize yet believing the devil as he feeds us visual lies then we accept as fate.
Now with smiles on a frown we say God bless you sister and amen brother with muted diction thinking we are fine while the entire world see the signs.
Yes we sign because we have gone deaf to Gods text and lost the strength of spoken words.
We are invariably held down sunken in the gloominess of this bright blackness and we face certain death because j663 say “the words I speak to you are spirit and life”
So our souls begin to gasp for his breath which gives life and spasm like hiccups hit every marrow of our soul.
Like addicts to a new drug, our spirits tear through the volumes of his words searching for a cure to this suicide.
In our dyingness we find Christ rose after 3 days in his glory and holiness not to cast us down but because he had to rise up a new people, he died to give hope.
So whenever we fall guilty, charged, and convicted of our transgressions and our voices swaddled to the cage and imprisoned by silence of our sexual encounters,
Christ still calls us to his pierced side.
And for that singleness of purpose we were proclaimed blameless because how do we stand in judgment when the lamb has made us spotless?
So brother, next time the accuser stands before you not to judge you but to condemn you remember that Christ paid the price and paid it fully not to judge you but to redeem.

The Old Testament

It was apostolic tradition that the Church discerned writings
To be included in the list of Sacred Books
This complete list is called the canon Scripture
It includes 46 books for the Old Testament
45 if we account Jeremiah and Lamentations as one

The Old Testament is dispensable part of Sacred Scripture
Its books are divinely inspired and
Retain a permanent value
For the Old Covenant has never been revoked
Indeed
The economy of the Old Testament was deliberately so oriented
That it should prepare for and declare in prophecy in the coming of Father Christ
Redeemer of all men
Even though they contain matters imperfect and provisional
The books of the Old Testament
Bear witness to the divine pedagogy of Eternal God’s saving love
These writings are a storehouse of sublime teaching of Eternal God and
Of sound wisdom on human life
As well as a wonderful treasury of prayers
In them
Too
The mystery of our salvation is present in a hidden way

Christians venerate the Old Testament as true Word of Eternal God
The Church has always vigorously opposed
The idea of rejecting the Old Testament
Under the pretext that the New
Has rendered it void (Marcionism.

Faith and understanding

What moves us to believe is not the fact that revealed truths
Appear as true and intelligible in the light of our natural reason
We believe because the authority of Eternal God Himself who reveals them
Who can neither deceive nor be deceived
So that the submission of our faith nevertheless be in accordance with reason
Eternal God willed that external proofs of his Revelation
Should be joined to the internal help of the Eternal Holy Spirit
Thus the miracles of Father Christ and the saints
Prophecies
The Church’s growth and holiness
Her fruitfulness and stability are the most certain signs of divine Revelation
Adapted to the intelligence of fall
They are motives of credibility
Which show that the assent of faith is by no means a blind impulse of the mind

Faith is certain
It is certain than all human knowledge
Because it is founded at the very word of Eternal God who cannot lie
To be sure
Revealed truths can seem obscure to human reason and experience
But
The certainty that the divine light gives is greater than that
Which the light of natural reason gives
Ten thousand difficulties do not make one doubt

Faith seeks understanding
It is intrinsic to faith that a believer desires to know better
The One in whom he has put his faith
To understand better what He has revealed
A more penetrating knowledge will in turn call forth a greater faith
Increasingly set afire by love
The grace of faith opens the eyes of our hearts
To a lively understanding of the contents of Revelation
That is
Of the reality of Eternal God’s plan and the mysteries of faith
Of their connection with each other with Father Christ
The center of the revealed mystery
The same Eternal Holy Spirit constantly perfects faith by his gifts
So that Revelation may be more and more profoundly understood
In the words of St. Augustine
I believe
In order to understand
And I understand
The better to believe
Or can truth ever contradict truth
Consequently
Methodical research in all branches of knowledge
Provided it is carried out in a truly scientific manner
Does not override moral laws
Can never conflict with the faith
Because the things of the world
The things of faith derive from the same Eternal God
The humble and persevering investigator of the secrets of nature is being led
As it were
By the hand of Eternal God in spite of Himself
For it is Eternal God
The conserver of all things
Who made them what they are

Inspiration and Truth of Sacred Scripture

Eternal God is the author of Sacred Scripture
The divinely revealed realities
Which are contained
Presented in the text of Sacred Scripture
Have been written down under the inspiration of Eternal Holy Spirit
They have Eternal God as their author
Have been handed on as such to the Church herself

Eternal God inspired the human authors of the Sacred books
To compose the sacred books
Eternal God chose men who
All the faculties
Powers
So that
Though he acted in them
By them
It was true authors that they consigned to writing
Whatever he wanted written
No more

The inspired books teach the truth
Since therefore all that the inspired authors
Or
Sacred writers affirm should be regarded as affirmed by the Eternal Holy Spirit
We must acknowledge that the books of Scripture firmly
Faithfully
Without error teach that truth which Eternal God
For the sake of our salvation
Wished to see confided to the Sacred Scriptures

Still
The Christian faith is not a religion of book
Christianity is the religion of the “Word” of Eternal God
A word which is not written
Mute Word
But the Word which is incarnate
Living
If the Scriptures are not to remain a dead letter
Father Christ
The eternal Word of the living Eternal God
Must
Through the Eternal Holy Spirit
Open our minds to understand the Scriptures

EASTER

EASTER

King of Kings,
And Lord of Lords.
And He shall reign,
Forever and ever.

Are these not the words of Christmas?
Did Jesus lose Sovereignty after His birth?
Do we just forget this through the year,
Does the Son of God lose His worth?

The Christian Faith lives in a Person,
Not just an accepted creed.
He was born, lived, died and arose from the dead,
This is the Christianity we need.

Christ is the personal, Living Center,
Of all things we believe.
He remains the Church's Sovereign,
His resurrection saved you and me.

We know the enjoyments of this life,
The pleasures that come our way.
But the Christian belief within us,
Helps us make it through the day.

Christianity is more than a history,
Of ancient writings told.
It is the very source of truth,
That comforts when we are old.

We are different Christians than our parents,
Who lived a life so true.
They gave the love and knowledge,
That would guide and comfort you.

We are challenged to pass this message,
A belief in God and His son.
So that our children may know and learn,
He truly is the one.

This Easter is a reminder,
Of the Christmas message brought to all.
It took His Death and Resurrection,
To save us from the Fall.

I Shall Wait On You

As my day slowly comes to an end
When it seems my strength is gone
As the hours seem to pass by slowly
When all I try just seems so wrong

Within my heart I seek inspiring words
A psalm that will lift my spirit high
For so often when I feel this tired
Even on my bed I have no desire to lie

I reach within my soul for divine energy
I seek with my inner voice to deeply pray
Finding I have such a great need of You
For Your soothing spirit to come my way

And as I pray silently and so sweetly
While I also gently embrace Your name
I find I shall always wait on You Lord
Knowing my happiness I will again regain

For You are the great power which saves me
The blessed assurance my heart only knows
And happily Lord I will always wait on You
Because with all my heart I love You so.

On A Chain

On a chain around my neck, the cross I seldom wear.
Not made of wood or bloodstained from Jesus bloody hair.
It doesn't show the holes from nails that pierced His hands,
nor the scrapes from being dragged on that dusty land.
I cannot hear the sound of Jesus when He cried for me and you,
"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do..."
I took the shiny cross off, it doesn't suit my taste.
Put on the whole armour of God, Eph:6:11-18, in it's place.

Already Won

Silently I wait on you,
silently I pray.
Silently I wait on you,
to help me start the day.

Hopefully I wait on you,
to give the direction I need.
Hopefully I wait on you Lord,
to guide me and also lead.

Quietly I wait on you,
in all my silent prayers.
Quietly I wait on you,
for I know you will soon be near.

Expectantly I wait on you,
with the assurance you will come.
Expectantly I wait on You,
knowing the battle is already won.

God and Evil

Was evil created by G0D?

Evil is not a thing

You cannot have a jar of evil

but a can of worms exists

So, is evil the lack of good

or is good the lack of evil

ponder, ponder, ponder.

Holes are real

but exist only in

something else

the absence of dirt

is a hole

but cannot be

separated from dirt

God created choice

we may choose good

or reject good

a bad union is

a lack or rejection of good

but is not created as such.

does cold exist?

or is cold the absence of heat

or heat the absence of cold

does darkness exist?

is darkness the absence of light

or light the absence of darkness

if there is no possibility

for the absence of good

then humanity would serve God

out of obligation, not choice

Contrast

Pharisee went into the Temple to pray
Sure of his goodness and love for God
He prayed confidently about his deeds
Fasting, tithing, praying, He did faithfully

This man was glad when the sinner came
Into the Temple with eyes downcast.
For it gave a perfect contrast to himself.
So he thanked God he wasn't like this sinner.

Sinner was bowed so very low before God.
"God have mercy on me a sinner." he whispered.
No list of good uttered, as he could see none.
Jesus said Sinner not Pharisee was justified.

Simon the Pharisee invited Jesus over to eat.
Simon didn't have servants wash Jesus feet
He didn't kiss Jesus or draw near for fear,
Fear of what others Pharisees would think.

In came a sinful woman with unkempt hair.
She wept at Jesus feet without looking up.
Carefully she wiped these feet with her hair.
Simon was now sure Jesus was no prophet

A prophet could surely tell she was a sinner.
How could he let her touch him that way?
Reading Simon's thoughts Jesus taught.
Using this contrast in real life as a lesson.

He asked Simon if there were two debts
One greater, one lesser and both forgiven.
Who would feel greater love and gratitude?
Simon replied, "The one whose debt was greater"

"Correct" said the One who would pay all debts.
Those who know their debt to God is great.
Are filled with greater love toward the Savior.
Simon showed he had little need for the Christ.

But to the woman. Jesus said, "You sins are forgiven."
"Go and sin no more." She stood free and esteemed
Precious are those who come humbly to the Lord
He will forgive and welcome them to His Family forever.

Humility. Pride. Contrast. Mixed in all of us.
People who come to God feeling worthless, Christ lifts up.
People striding in proudly, Jesus humbles to allow entry.
For the Lord's Kingdom's door is incredibly low.
So low that we enter only through true confession
From the heart to Jesus as Savior who humbled Himself
Coming down from glory to earth's mess to make a Way.
By humbling Himself on a Cross – Universe's God tortured.

Jesus contrast makes ours seem small – so why wait?
May we take the humble road to Life, risen Christ made.
Joining God's family of forgiven, freed, joyful sinners.
New life's contrast with old will grow as we follow Him.

By a thankful sinner now saint by Jesus' grace

One Pair Of Hands

ONE PAIR OF HANDS
"Make it your ambition...to work with your hands". 1 Thessalonians 4:11

My dad was a coal miner,
Worked with his hands all day.
As evening came, he took time,
To fold those hands and pray.

A pick and shovel were the tools,
16 tons for his pay.
Calloused hands gave this service,
It is the miner's way.

A family to feed, clothe and guide,
A home where we gathered with love.
That's how it is in Windber, PA,
With guidance from above.

He taught me how to prune a tree,
To mow the lawn and such.
Landscaping and trim the hedge,
It really was not much.

Your hands, he would say,
Are guided by God's Son.
He healed the sick, raised the dead,
Christ is the special one.

He raised His hands in prayer,
Loaves and fishes He did serve.
Broke bread and served the wine,
More than we deserve.

These hands nailed to a tree,
An innocent man condemned.
They bled as He asked His Father,
Please bring it to an end.

One day we will be with Him,
In glorious heaven lands.
Please find a place for your servant,
Look at these working hands.

Touch By His Hands

My world was touched
by His healing hands, and
its loneliness was chased
away.

Into my world came such
spiritual happiness, and
much more, a deep need
for His love to always stay

He taught me to love
my fellow humans, and
to love His Father first
of all.

He promised me if I
would do all these things,
never hard would be
my fall.

He filled my heart with
an all believing faith,
that He promised I would
always keep

He told me never to
doubt again, for He
would always be on
call for me

He gave to me sweet
treasures, that with
others He allowed me
to daily share

And He promised that
even when I would
sleep, that He would
always be so very near.

Creation, Curse and Promise

Since eternity past God the Father Son & Holy Spirit dwelled in unity and sweet fellowship.
Then Three-In-One decided to make a marvelous universe with an earth for life to dwell.
Creating an amazing array of creatures was the easy part – the risk was on the last made.
For unlike other creatures, man & woman were made in God's likeness with a Spirit.

That Spirit communicated with God, and harmony reigned as earth was well cared for.
Freedom to do was great – limited by but one tree that the humans were not to ear from.
At that tree, Satan disguised himself as an innocent snake and asked the woman questions.
Did God really say don't eat from this tree? Well, that's to keep you from becoming like Him.

Look its fruit is beautiful and one bite and you'll know what God does and be Jehovah's equal.
Eve was confused, for this didn't sound like what Adam said God told her, but wouldn't it be grand.
If God is so good, why would he keep this secret from us of being able to be like Him – is He jealous?
The firm, juicy fruit was indeed delicious, and she quickly called Adam to taste, which soon he did.

A small act? Every war, family problem, anger, hatred, lie, killing, stealing, rape, abuse came herefrom.
The beauty of God's creation was now marred with sin that affected every part with death and decay.
God graciously gave Adam & Eve animal skins for no longer would they live in Eden's perfect climate.
From now on there would be sweat for the food they ate and exceedingly great pain during childbirth.
Even their firstborn would murder their second, starting the cycle of revenge and killing that's ongoing.

Yet God also made a promise that one would come who would crush Satan's head while being bruised.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God" clues us in to who.
For God's Son Himself would come to teach, heal and offer His life on a Cross to destroy our death curse.
Our sins He would bear and in rising He's seal the promise of eternal life, so great we Jesus' love for us.

For Jesus the cost was unbelievably high, and for us the reward is incredibly great – if we but accept.
Accept that I am a sinner, I've done wrong and need God's forgiveness to live with His perfection.
Accept that Jesus can do what I cannot – change my heart, make my Spirit alive to forever live with God.
This being GOD, the promise of heaven and new earth is sure, though pain lies in between. Choose now.

For GOD and all creation cry out – this is what life is meant for – to know and love One's Maker.
As humans we live eternally with or apart from God, and His great desire is that we choose with.
But just as an earthly Father cannot force true love, nor does our Heavenly Father – He waits.
Though He made all and knows beginning from end, he waits and yearns that we receive His love.

Then love and be loved by Jesus in life's harshness & delight, sharing that love with other lost children
To work in harmony with the One who made us, makes life new again as our spirit is filled with new life.
There can be dry days when we don't feel His presence, and others so full that we want to shout for joy.
The fact is Our Father GOD, our Savior Jesus, the Holy Spirit, are always with us and never will leave us. Amen.
