Fear Not The Wind

Fear not the fierce wind, o gentle heart
Though it may rattle the eaves
And give no ear to its whispers with nothing to impart
But shallow promises that hang, like dried, parched leaves

Listen to its mournful wails on the way to some distant shore
Leaving in its trail, the harsh rawness of a chill
And envy not; give pity instead and be sure to keep no scores
For the warmth of a gentle heart is by far, richer still

For who can fathom the baleful howls invading valleys below;
Billowing across the fragile earth and her boundless seas?
Is it in anguish that it protests; who can really know?
Or is it a mere expression of a mighty power that seethes?

Yet, judge not, o gentle heart, but like a blade of grass amidst a storm
Lay calmly into the wind; rely not upon your strength to stay strong

Fear

Trust in your fear
As it speaks with a voice
Or you'll be left in pieces
With no longer a choice

For your fear will take over
In vociferous chant
To pieces you will collapse
In meandering rant

So when ever this word
Called fear appears
Don't fall to pieces
Or your soul disappears

Beauty in my Palm

You are the wild flower in my palm
With no stem to keep you anchored to this covetous earth
You are the fragile thing I dare not cup,
As your petals whittle away under the wind
And flit unfettered in the air;
Exaggerated fear leaves my fingers numb
Hungry need leaves my fingers twitching
And my hand is paralyzed by turmoil
As every breath of wind takes another petal from me
And brings to my lungs, my chest and my heart
An overwhelming scent of need-

You are the wild beauty in my palm
And I dare not hold you to my chest
For I fear to crush you
To know first hand
That caged beauty, is beauty no more.

Remnants

Sad Heart, now thou art wither’d from the Sun,
What man, or god, will near thee run?
Wrought in twist like branches in Tempests' gasp,
What Comfort, or Gauze, shall be near to grasp?
True ones begotten are the ones now Rotten
And the ones now Rotten will never be forgotten
They are merely sad remains of assiduous Tears
That have been meddl’d with and tatter’d Raw throughout the years

And thou, cruel Mind, that sat’st still thru toiling trail of Night;
Must dream your broken Dreams; thou’rt a sanely flight!
Can thou extinguish passions of Fire, Disease, or Rain?
—tho thy distinguish’d influence trains to abstain
Thy Remnants brought to debris in thy Empty street,
Devour’d by Vultures, their bestow’d beaks entreat
Merely are they cleaning an inexhaustible Mess
Alas! Leaving thy rudiments of Identity to redress....

Fifteen tiny Swallows

Fifteen tiny swallows

Fifteen tiny swallows
All perched upon a fence
Oh what handsome fellows
But here, let me commence
To speak of all their beauty
These tiny little birds
All black and cream with a reddish throat
Oh how my heart they stirred

A lady walking with her dog
Disturbed these little guys
So from the fence these birds take wing
And head towards the skies
It seems that they are dancing
In the way they fly around
They always seem to fly in circles
And nearly touch the ground.

I walk around these wetlands
And wonder at it all
Everyday it’s something else
And it’s all so beautiful
Ducks and swallows, parrots too
And the beauty of the lake
I love to walk there most of all
At the coming of the daybreak.

Rising from the Ashes

RISING FROM THE ASHES

Wordancer

The eyes of the dragon seen through the trees
Mesmerize minds and cause bodies to freeze.
Which way to go, which way to turn;
No time for questions when the trees burn.

Just jump in the cars and flee towards town
But the road is cut off as the wind swings around.
No way to go, no way to turn;
An acceptance of fate, as the trees burn.

The fence of the paddock does not impede
The scorched car that flattens it, picking up speed
Away from the flames, away they must turn
Desperate with fear, as the trees burn.

The breath of this beast lights fires with no flame
The heat of its breath burn all just the same.
It’s tail flames on, it’s head, see it turn
Back towards town, there are more things to burn.

With fire, smoke and tears these folk have learnt
To rise from the ashes; spirits singed; not burnt
A call for assistance, now the schools turn
To grey squares of ashes; and more townships burn.

The calls went out across this wide country
And the offers came from all and sundry.
What do you need? What can we bring you?
They were told, so they went; what else would they do?

Hand towels, toothbrushes, soap and shampoo
To clean away ashes; the soot, and tears too
Through fire and smoke, these folk have learnt
To rise from the ashes; spirits singed; not burnt

The towns’ people will labor as long as there’s need,
They’ll listen and learn and plant as they weed,
While their houses and schools, fire stations too,
Rise from the ashes, and stand good as new.

The February Dragon has left for a time,
But hope that heals the scars in the minds
Of the people there, is strong and alive,
They have rebuilt their towns, their dreams and their lives.

The Disabled Boy

His knees trembled in the slippery cold
Beside the benches dressed with leaves
Mother was coming, yes so he's been told
To wait in an hour by the dripping trees.

Where the Bluejay sang his evening hymn
In the light red blowing of the weary breeze
So he waited hours till the skies turned dim
When the moon hanged idly upon the trees.

But not a sight of her in the blue distance
So he glided across the glass of the snow
To the narrow path of the park's entrance
Where the last velvet hues gently blows.

His heart alarmed the sad tune of despair
He was reminded of his lifelong infirmity
Strolling sadly by on the wheels of a chair
He feared bitter a death in this vast vanity.

He felt on his shoulders a warm embrace
Thawing his fears was her loving face.

Darkness

My feet are cold; my tiredness lingers;
My back aches from stooping so low.
Dampened by the frigid water below,
I breathed warmth into my numbing fingers.
Again, I dipped my shovel into the coarse gravel
Of the stream dredging up with a gurgle
A mixture of pebbles and sand;
Into a bucket I poured it, firsthand.
In this wilderness I'm not alone, there's bear.
Mindful I am of the sounds around me;
A churning stream, rustling leaves, an elk groan,
Snapping twigs, anything that would put a scare
Or raise my hair. I looked around for a tree,
Somewhere to flee before darkness set in.
Not far from here, I spied a log cabin.
Into this stronghold I placed my supplies;
Nature's calm was just a disguise.
I latched its massive door; and bolted each shutter.
In its stone hearth, I started a fire;
Basking in its warmth worries melted like butter.
Outside, darkness enveloped the cabin;
Strong claws raked its walls peeling away its skin;
Relentless growling resonated through the dusty din.
Suddenly, I awoke huddled next to a glowing flashlight.
Shivering against the muddy walls of a beaver's lodge,
I could hear the bear feverishly ripping
Through the muddy grass, and the disjointed timbers
Above me. Deep beneath the surface darkness arrived
Just, as my flashlight flickered, then died.

A PHOTOGRAPHER LIVES WHAT HE FEELS

It can be an orchard with peach trees against patches of blue
as they swerve downhill and meet the foaming sea,
see him capture an indelible moment after
moment until he's amazed by that wonder
to have captured a breathtaking view...
which will be eternally frozen in his memory.

A photographer lives what he feels,
wouldn't it be a celebrity on high heels,
or the most gorgeous child cuddling a puppy
that she saw shivering when snow fell in February?
Didn't he anxiously climb that remote, sun-sunken mount rising in the East...
to find tiger cubs suckling from their mother as she watched a flock of sheep?

Song Of The Seamen And Their Ship Called Mary Rose

Mary Rose, the mighty sailing sea vessel glided majestically across the waves
She had robustly and bravely sailed the briny waves for many a night and day
With the ocean's heaving gusting squalls blowing off proud stern and mast
Sailing victorious and proud - her billowing white sails were cast
The calm, liquid waters of the sea flowed quietly purple for now-
Unaware of the coming storm that would beat furious against her bow

Her alabaster sails whipped violent and furious in the oncoming storm
Impending doom was yelling its cries while the seamen went unwarned
Down below, inside their cabins the seamen peacefully slept
Wrapped in the secure watch that their gallant captain kept
The oceans black, boiling waves beat savage against starboard and port
As Captain Noe standing fearless - at first quake, did not the storm report

The old wooden beams of the Mary Rose began to restlessly moan and creak
While the blackened roaring, rolling waves beat furious against her feet
Her alabaster sails rose proud- beating mighty against wailing squalls and gusts
While deep inside the bow in bunks, the sleeping seamen thrust

Suddenly...they heard the captain's distraught voice cry out
When the seamen heard his voice -they heard fear without doubt
“Awake, all of ye’ ”, Captain Noe forcefully roared
“Alive! Awake… all ye’ seaman come quickly up on board”!

The savage spirit of the sea reigned fierce with rage and fear
While the brave captain fought - loyal seaman brought up the rear
They courageously fought together - not silenced by the eye of death
As the sea raged violently against them with its brutal, menacing breath

To save their mighty Mary Rose, they’d dip their very souls in blood
Leaving themselves merciless against this drunken, mighty flood
With plank and bow standing fierce between them and their fate
The raging ocean’s fierce, blackened waves - the sea they could not hate

The morning brought the warming sun which rose broad above the waves
The winds had tamed their violent voice against captain and seaman brave
With unshakable courage and seaman’s wit not once were spirits broke
Each cheered his mate and captain strong as they fought with steady stroke
Their peril fought in days of danger and night filled with pain
Their manly courage did not wane - their fight was not in vain
For all the courageous seamen and their brave Captain Noe
Joined together in hand and spirit to save...their proud Mary Rose

Why aren't we happy

Why aren’t we happy?

What is it in the most of us?
We are not how we should be
We should be like a singing bird
Who boldly, in the trees
Sings his song when fear is done
His life just flows along
He only knows the dance of life
So he just sings his song.

And yet we humans live our lives
Enfolded in our fears
Glorifying in the sad
And making this quite clear
As we always speak of doom and gloom
And watch it on TV
And always live our lives in fear
Is this the way it should be?

If only each would take a look
And see just what we be
We never see the flowers grow
Or let our hearts be free
Maybe it’s time to see the truth
Of what this life could be
If we look at life without the fear
And live with mystery.

Imagine

Imagine lakes of dreams
Blood contained streams
Imagine oceans that behold undiscovered beings
Imagine human life depended off of cheers and games
Man design’s umbrellas
And eventually would play a part in acid rain
Imagine not wanting to smell another rose
Or touch another soul
Because of despair and shame
Imagine in the mist of your demise
You have the passion to rejoice and sing
Imagine driving pass shattered glass
The interior is soaked with blood stains
Your mind can't comprehend the fact
that it's a dead family in the next lane
Imagine dreaming for freedom
As a result by your neck you hang
Imagine for the sake of progress
You whip a man on his back and call him a slave.
Rage, Pain, Fortune, and fame
You don't have to imagine this
Because that's what life brings.

The Late Night Storm

The Late Night Storm

Looking up in a stormy night
Lightning flashes across a dark starless sky
Thunder rolls through fields and cities
Such energy released on a sleepy Earth
Ancient trees explode in massive fireballs
The amber light of the fires blend with the white heat
Casting demonic shadows on lifeless walls
The beauty of the storm becomes nonexistent
Boundless fear overcomes nature’s beauty
The storm seems to rage forever
Flashes, thunder and wave upon wave of rain
Pounding into defenseless ears
Forcing its way into the primal instinct to flee
The beauty is all gone
Fear has destroyed every vestige
Covered under blankets we hide
Waiting for the storm to end
Hoping we will survive the night
After hours the bravest look out of their shelter
The sun is shining in its entire splendor
The storms have long since traveled to the east
Fears go back to rest as we see the world
The beauty has returned

This is about you

When you have downfall on your mind chaos is all a mind can find, its time to change all the things you had held so deep inside, they cause rage, your trapped in while your caught up in the cage of life an easy life with out strife, no more pain or struggle inside a bubble and you want to make it burst, but first things first you know the times that come will be the worst, because its change you want, and you will taunt the ones who set the curse. They say if you want to change a little then its your choice, but if you want to change a lot they must first hear your voice, loud enough for all to hear, listen and all of the problems soon disappear, just know that the world can be a bleak one and people dont always listen so you cannot only speak once, so when the end is near you can look back at the goodtimes throughout all the years think about all the times and cheer, and thank god you lived this long and your still here. Be remembered only for the words you spoke, for you do not want to be invisioned inside a cloud of smoke, watch as they listen when you start to feel the choke on the thoughts about your life,a bad life, a black life, envoloped in fear you were hoping that the man would hear, and maybe take a listen, to diamonds in your mind as you watch them glisten. finally move to a position, and open your ears and let your mind be clear, and hear the wisdom spoken from the person on the otherside of the mirror, society sobriety with out a clue just sit and ponder at the deepest thoughts that are revealed in you...

Living the Dream

My nightmare is so tangible...so vividly I dream,
The dream, it feels so true to me...reality it seems.

Exhaust and smoke are all I breathe...the air is full of smog...
The job I do is thankless toil, but I work it like a dog.

There's mercury in the fish I eat...there're toxins in my food...
And drugs, they are a constant scourge...myriads for every mood.

Bipolar is my government...a house divided 'tis...
And corporations drive both sides...in the pockets of "Big Biz".

The icecaps, they are melting...the sea is rising, too.
Pandas, condors, polar bears -- empty cages at the zoo.

My money ne'er seems quite enough...I'm always out of cash...
My freedom fled when I wed my bride...(live I under the lash).

"Entertainment"? Reality TV...maybe some vampire shows...
Or idjits becoming household names for being beachfront "ho's".

People clamor "climate change" from the seats of S.U.V.'s,
And bitter news on the honey front...what's killing all the bees?

Politicians spending more...we go deeper in the red.
Opinions dressed as "news" abound...is journalism dead?

Cell phones are ubiquitous...conversation's endangered now...
And "Kardashians" are famous girls..but who knows why or how?

How strange my twisted psyche is t'make real what must be fake...
Now'f only I could find some way to get myself to wake.

Agree to Disagree

                                               Mankind's greatest
                                                 accomplishment...

Wild Weather

Looking out the window
Rain trickling down the pane
Oh how the wind does blow
Causing destructive, torrential rain

Trees are bent in half
Stray branches flying here and there
Screaming wind sounds like a maniacal laugh
Brings about anxiety and fear

Houses, buildings torn apart
Twisted metal becomes a spear
My God…please have a heart
The sight around me brings a tear

The minutes have felt like hours
The noise from hell has ceased
The gardens are stripped of their flowers
The hellish fury has been released.

My Boredom Disease

Like sick allergies,
Boredom can be passed around
I call it: THE BOREDOM DISEASE

Like a horrid storm,
Boredom can catch you off guard
Hold on for DEAR LIFE!

Like the whooping cough,
Boredom can be serious
If I were you, I’d
Get a vaccination !

That Girl

Everyone thinks they know that girl. At
least they think they do.
You know that girl that makes everyone
laugh, and is a class clown. Who used
to be a star athlete. And had everything
going for her.
Yeah that girl that everyone thinks they
know
She became homeless at the age of 16
due to a house fire.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
Yet that girl is still laughing away and
making everyone laugh, but isn't the
same inside, No, Something inside of
her changed they way she felt.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
She became mentally ill, she was
diagnosed with major depression and
bipolar disorder. She was always under
medication, so you never knew what
side of her you where going to get.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
No one knew how much she hated
hearing sirens go off, or how she
couldn't stand seeing fire trucks. She
struggled living her life daily.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
She lost her closes friends cause she
shut them out and nearly lost them all.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
From what I hear it's been 3 years
since the fire and that girl is barely
getting her sight of her future back.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
She is talking to her lost friends again,
but just isn't the same for her, so she
has to make new ones. Which means
she has no one.
Yeah that girl everyone thinks they
know
She is happier now and is looking
forward to graduating and moving on
from this chapter of her life and letting
go.
How do I know so much of her?, well
"that girl" is me.Yeah that girl that
everyone thought they knew.
But im fine now. Sure I have my
downfalls, but I still get up and smile.
THAT GIRL IS ME, I AM THAT GIRL.

The moon

The summer passed so fast
I thought you and I would never last
You told me our memories won’t be just a blast
Ever was I the one to doubt our past.

Clouds were soon hiding the sun
The difficult hadn’t even yet begun
I saw your shadow everywhere I went
I guess that’s just how much you meant.

But even in the darkest hour
The moon was there-a source of power
And each look made you feel so near
A dream to chase the presence of my fear…

Home of the Slaves

Land of the free
Home of the slaves
The blood, sweat and tears of my ancestors resonate
Amongst the soil where they were slain
I’m hearing their struggle
I’m feeling their pain
I can’t imagine being forced to part from my family
All for massa’s gain
So I pay homage to those who promoted change

People like every slave who tried to escape
Nat Turner, Ms Carlotta, Harriet Tubman
And the safe houses who were in accord
And peg leg Joe with his song
Follow the drinking gourd.

People like, the disregarded - those thrown overboard
And who was dismissed and defamed
The ones who were stripped of their soul, their pride, their names

The list could go on
The full will never be told
So I pay homage to others who were bold
Like John Brown, The Freedom Riders, Sojourner Truth
Ida B Wells, Phyllis Wheatley, Maya Angelou,
Langston Hughes and Charles Drew

George Washington Carver, Ruby Bridges
Booker T Washington and Mary McCleod Bethune
Charles Houston, Ralph Bunche, Fredrick Douglass
WEB Dubois, Paul Robeson, Ralph Abernathy
Benjamin Banneker, Marcus Garvey and Crispus Attucks
Who’s death by the way
Symbolized the American lie
You cant declare the rights of all men
While the people of African decent rights get denied
But still we rise

Thanks to Dr Martin Luther King, Malcolm X,
The Black Panthers, the Buffalo Soldiers and Tuskegee Airmen
None who were showed any love
Yeah it’s an uphill battle,
But obviously greatness can be done.

We can rise above this stigma
That blacks are lazy and daunting
That our worth is null and void
And in essence minus nothing
And of all the names mentioned
And the greatness of their successes
No one has been able to erase the evil transgressions of a racist mind
And once you have experienced just a taste of it
It changes your perception of time
The oppression beats like the drum on the chariot
Of when it was finally time to escape to freedom
It's mine

Self PORTRAIT

I will start with using my hand as a guide
And in the end I will open my eyes that I will decide

I consider to do this with one thing in mind
I will close my eyes and will imagine it blind
With no colors or fractionation of the light
Just plain me and a vision with my hand as my sight

My hair is very coarse and some what fine
What I just described is so benign
I twirl my hair and make it bend
And I will say its very clean not oily on the ends

As I press on my forehead I simply feel a distinct part
I notice from hair to skin it is very different from the start
The simple partings from hair not like skin
I am going to feel with my other hand and begin

The smoothness of my skin like years of water eroding a rough rock surface smooth
Not just that my skin is like home to years of stories like scars and attitude
And when I raise my eyebrows the wrinkles it makes is more so for expression
I did not notice it with certain ideas, thoughts, and emotions

I run my hands down to my eyelids I feel movement of my eyes trying to peek
Eyelids that I have, vibrates with some kind of fear, Why?, that I will seek
Just now as I thought about it a sensation ran through my brain
My eyes is the world to me and that is true and not insane

Myself portrait of me is through my touch for now
But to finish it I will have to open my eyes soon and how
I been in a trance full of so many ideas just with my eyes closed
I run my hand on my nose and lips and I smile who could apposed

The feelings in the tip of my fingers rub on my chin and jaw with care
I do notice roughness of unshaved velcro gripping hair
I skip my ears so I will sneak a feel with my fingers I chose
I notice it is like my nose with cartilage, so I don't suppose

I will now open my eyes that I will use a mirror to see myself
My head is oval shape and my neck is like a stump, please help
My skin is very tan and my eyes are brown with my eyes I see
With all the description with my hands, one sure thing is the same and key

It is the description of measurements that is what my hands and eyes can see me
With a smile I am looking into the mirror and I can describe that I am happy
Myself portrait of me is such a way to get to know myself once more
I will never think it was a waste of time or a bore

Black and White

You’ve maddened me to the core
You singed me with your ferocious fire
We’re opposites… we’ll never integrate
We can’t blend with each other…
Your love and I’m hate
We’re contrary to each other…

So don’t even think about
Getting us back together
Because without a doubt,
We don’t click with each other…

So let us go our own way…

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be deleted from my mind…

I’m not the one that should pay the price
You act as if you’re an angel from heaven
But, you’re a fiend…a devil from hell...who needs your advice?
Could someone unchain me from this prison?

So let us prepare for that day…

Fear and bewilderment build inside of our minds
Taking over us…we’re wasting valuable time
Terror and wrath injects into our veins…time starts to unwind
I’m regaining my glory…this moment feels so sublime

You think you’re innocent?
I can sense your guilt…bleeding through you
Do you live to feed me anguish?
Don’t deny it…you crafty demon…no wonder I feel blue

Let’s get ready for battle…
I’ll watch you decay…
IT’S PAY BACK TIME . . .
Taste my fury and my agony

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be defeated…

I scream before nightfall
I close my eyes to kiss my demise
I want to disappear
Scratch away my desolation
Wipe away my tears…
Spewing out of my eyes…like a waterfall
Tonight, there will be dismay
There will be suffering
After sundown…
Failure and glory will expose like stars in the midnight sky
Who will earn the crown?
No one knows in silent wars – who can reveal the light in goodbye

Why are we black and white?
Are you too afraid to know the reason why?

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to suffer alone…

A Pirate's Lot

Footprints on a sandy beach,
will be washed away by morning.
There's a storm out on the open sea,
A thunderclap - a warning!
A lonely ship is tossed about,
and struggles in the hue,
its motley crew begins to shout
at the wicked card they drew...
The ship takes on a starboard list,
the crew jumps in the drink,
lightning strikes the wooden mast,
the ship is doomed to sink.
Fear fills the hearts of those
from captain down to yeoman,
but yo this rugged life they chose
not heeding sign nor omen.
Are you really safe from shark attack,
while standing on the shore?
A mighty ship in port is safe,
but that's not what ships are for...

Tornado In Alabama, April 27, 2011

Oh how furious it was, God sent his power from above. He let the Black clouds
and the rain come gushing through our window panes. Oh what scary a sight to see,
I felt like running, I tried to free me. The gushing winds blowing so fast, I never
thought I would last. The winds he sent was meant to be, to warn all of us our
souls need to be free.

He sent his fury fast and long, we were all surprised where it roamed. The tornadoes
went from one county to another, sending its wrath, killing, destroying and giving us
trouble. Cries were heard throughout the night, People screaming and praying with
all their might.

The tornadoes did not stop, they destroyed our lands, and ruined our crops.
The devastation it left on our minds is here to stay and will never go away.
This is a terrible storm we will never forget, because it lasted a long time and all
of us were upset. We hoped and prayed it would pass us by, asking and praying
to God, please dont let us die!

We all tried to seek shelter in our homes, before we knew it, everything was gone.
Some of us found ourselves standing outside with nothing hardly for cover, we were
screaming and crying searching for one another.

I pray for mother

   I pray for mother

	Mother!
You could have stayed
Forever was my longing
Oh mother!
Does it really have to be you?
Mothers are too special to lose

You gave me life mother
You raised me into a man I am today
I will forever be grateful to you
Out of nothing, you gave me food
Out of nothing, you clothed me
Out of nothing, you sent me to school
Oh mother!
You were the best

In your shadow I had shade
You called me Father.
For I carried grandfather’s name
Now I understand how special I was to you
You felt grandfather in me
Who will ever call me that again?
I forbid my thoughts to go deep
For the deeper it goes, the deeper it hurts

I can still hear your voice mother
I can still see you in my dreams
You left without saying good-bye,
Were you mad at me mother?
Deep in my heart, you will always have a home
My sisters and brothers are heartbroken
They are all grown up
But they still need you Mother

Do you still remember your grandchildren?
The youngest is not yet a year old
She will never see your beautiful smile mother
You could have waited
So she does something for you
Fetch water or call you grandmother

We all miss you mother
It’s hard to know you are never coming back
One after another
We will join you mother
We are not afraid of death any more
For we have a place with you
God almighty will meet us someday
Then I will see you for myself again
We will talk and laugh
Just like we used too

Now you live in a far away land
We can’t change that, not even God almighty
I will teach my heart to live without you mother
Though it is hard
I will learn to miss you
I will learn to live without you
But I will never forget you
It’s the body I will never see

Your time is gone Mother
Now you live in a new world
There you will never grow old
There you will never die
I have peace in my heart
For I am reconciled by God’s mercy
My father in heaven comforted me
Now I know you are happy there
The pain I felt
The pain that tortured me
Will never torment me again
You departed with all my tears
With all my strength
With all my hope
And with all my faith
But God gave me a thousand reasons to smile
In am now back on track

Rest in peace dear mother,
It was the will of God
Who am I to question him?
I never did when you were given to me
And somehow I knew this day will come
Let his name be exalted
We meet again Mother
This I know.

Glisten in the Moonlight

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

The Hunter

The hunter

I saw a man once on TV
He was hunting grizzly bear
Then bear, he got the upper hand
And blood was everywhere
That man was in an awful state
But I lacked in sympathy
You live by sword, you die by sword
That’s just the way it be.

I knew a man, a fisherman
He hunted for big fish
But when his boat did over turn
He never got his wish
Cause big shark came and took his life
And Karma, it was done
It seems that this time hunter lost
And mother nature won.

It seems some folk are low on soul
And only live to kill
I have no sympathy for these
And nor I ever will
When the game gets turned around
They’ve only they to blame
Because they gained their pleasure from
This heartless killing game.

As the river flows

As the river flows

As the river flows
So surely to the sea
It’s power be a wondrous sight
As it roams the land so free
The path of no resistance
Is how she lives each day
I will learn from this old river
I need to live this way.

As the river flows
She takes all in her stride
Not dogged by expectations
Not held back by her pride
She flows into the ocean
She knows this be her home
She has no need to hurry
She’s just content to roam.

Oh, I’ll be like that river
That’s how I’ll live my life
All free from fear and worry
Until my time is rife
To join that mighty ocean
All filled with sweet devotion.

As the river flows
And things get in her way
She knows to never struggle
Just flows from day to day
And lets the power take her
To where she needs to go
Her softness melts all obstacles
Albeit, oh so slow.

4 - Messenger from the Dead

Alas there is no more confusion,
finally found my last conclusion.
Expect me as if Jesus will return,
from a ghost to a realm of concern.

Your dreams are portals like doors,
welcoming spirits into hasten wars.
Leaving the thoughts without trust,
keeping your fears in much disgust.

And though you sought no consequence,
deeds that confirm a wicked malevolence.
Awaiting in your nightmare of screams,
enjoy what is left amongst your dreams.

My Future Generation

I can act insane
But DO NOT
Make me feel worthless

I belong in God’s family
He will bless my future generation

Don’t punish me for
Being myself –
Don’t envy my glee

I can act like an
Adult, but I’d
Prefer to have joy…

Not stress…
That piles upon us in our
Everyday lives

Being childlike is

A rare beauty –

No one prizes it…

No one came across it…

In this lifetime…

I can laugh all day
I can make you smile
If you’d accept my
Childlike dreams of mine
Don’t treat me like a sick swine

Renew my young heart
Give me the ability
To kill the old man…

I have my place in God’s family
He’ll be adored and glorified
We’ll exchange prayers and hugs
By my future generation

I beg of you –
Don’t kill my childlike mentality
I’ll behave myself…
I’m positively sure that I’ll make you happy

I’ll still have pieces of a child in me

And pass it on to my future generation…

The Rain and Wind

The wind blew events all over the place.
Intense emotions and it gave chase.
Lightning lighting to show us the sky.
People try to sleep and not cry.
Wisping by the wind keeps us awake.
The time trying to sleep the storms take.
Chills in everyone gives all shiver.
The clouds surrounded by moonlight is silver.
Heavenly prayers that the rain will stop.
The flood stopped a car the person in it was a cop.
People have seen such devastation.
The road that people made was week in creation.
Rivers near by was over flowing.
Trees that were there was not showing.
By the hour it claimed many.
My father woke up and did not see any.
Floating by was a boat.
Keeping people above water and a float.
My father kept a canoe.
That some day we would use it, that he knew.
Time to paddle up and down the street.
The rain water kept getting on our seat.
It was so dark after the moon was behind the cloud.
Still the noise of thunder still covered the ears loud.
The smell of moist water never seem to go away.
My brothers seem to still sleep anyway.
My head was bobbing up and down.
I was so tired that I could not hear a sound.
The wind blew back and fourth.
It seems that my mom and dad paddle their worth.
Till all the people we saw with grace.
Help us out with embrace.
The time was so late at night.
Everyone was so sleepy and losing sight.
The fight with the weather was so hectic.
The feelings of energy was electric.
Losing to such natural disaster is hard to understand.
When people working hard to block the river with bags of sand.
With hard workers like my mom and dad.
They make things happen that is not bad.
Rough with weather they experience more than ever.
Leaders they are they are very clever.
From the night light of street lights to the morning glow.
The wind did not stop so.
Bringing in more clouds that ill.
The people who were still tired still had will.
The rush of water and waves blasting push the wall side.
Pushing and the force brought water inside.
The battle of our hour was getting long.
Backup people came to aid us was strong.
Rested they were to keep everyone with hope.
The people stopped the water with the strength of rope.
Heavy rain and loss of homes bring people together.
It is kind of sad that this was the only time to gather.
Chaos comes happiness how true.
This is why we are human that gives us a clue.
It is our nature to keep rain falling.
To know when it is time for our calling.
The winds bring such pain and sorrow.
That is why rain sometimes fallow.

Misty White

Distracting my skin from the icy mist,
The horn booms in the distance.
The black horizon glows,
The moon reflected from our grave.

Misty white threatens to consume us,
Feet slip and rope drag against the deck,
Their voices grow louder as
Waterfalls of rain pour into the ocean,

My stomach grows as cold as the rocky face before us,
They hold on for hope and I let go,
Too late to turn back, I welcome the mist,
And all hands are lost.

Mountain Climb

-Read from bottom to up, left to right and help me climb this mountain-

Truly Rejoice To be free, To reach the top Just allow yourself You are very strong I am no longer afraid Soon I will be at the top It is so beautiful and bright The luminous peak is in view Birds and insects cheering me on And laugh wholeheartedly as I continue I recall Mother Abbess from The Sound of Music By legs began to feel the tire of present but still I go I can never truly feel alone in this realm of natural green Alone I climb, accompanied with the music of my tempo-stilled mind I scramble like a beast, engorging in my own energy and headstrongness I fear no end of precious time—I certainly fear not the likes of you, you rampart My head is whirling in the wood—basking in the smells and sights of the enigmas beyond No rack of irrespirable doubt can dare to bring me down again—I simply, modestly refuse it I am inwardly confident and free—eyes focused straight up to the flurry, blurry peaks of new The sun beats down on my flesh—tough, warm love that has supported me from the beginning of time Without further forbidding thought, I make my way upwards, looking up at the highest mountain in awe
-it may be a little too long at parts, but it DID fit on my microsoft word anyway...xD Enjoy my pyramid/volcano/mountain thing..-

Words of Life

Drowning in the pool of anguish…oh…oh…
I’m venturing into the forest…and I want to hear the words seep out
Release these aching sorrows…I worry my soul’s drying out…
like a drought…
Drain out the fluids from my heart
It’s gouging me…bruising me to the core…

**chorus**
Embrace the light…embrace the midnight sky…
You fall in my arms – you die so warm
Shed me more sun to lift up my spirits
From the…underground…and release me – I’m breathless
I’m drowning in doubt…ooh… oh…

Remember me…I’m falling…into my swirling fate…hanging on the roots
Strangling my heart…distorting in my veins… I’m bleeding so softly – cut out the wood…
Splintering me…I’m shattering… and I’m falling in the abyss
Bring me more radiance from my candle light
Warp me up in bliss…don’t let the midnight sky…don’t take away my delight
From the…ocean…and save me—save me…oh… oh… I’m failing

*chorus*

I’m drowning in regret…ooh..oh…
Hit the bull’s eye in my heart…embrace the light
And don’t leave me hanging in the abyss…hand me a kite!
Save me before I fall apart…shut out the night
And don’t let the dusk escape us…

I must confess…
I must confess…
I hate to see you abandon the light…
But I’m not the one to save you from the night
Ooh…ohh…

*Chorus*

Splintering lies fill your heart
I want to kiss it goodbye…
But you’ve mastered it like a piece of art
I want to kiss the abyss and die…
Dry… I wanna touch the sky with my whole soul
But I’m failing and the end of time has taken its toll
Tainted sorrow…swims around me…I dwell where the waters depart
But the anguish still swarms in my heart…
I’m failing…my heart stops beating
And my desires are fleeting
From my grasp
And the monsters laugh at me…as I fall…

*chorus*

Embrace the midnight sky…catch me…catch me…
As I fall in death’s arms…I die so cold
And your heart is made of gold

Untangle the darkness & take away the nightmares
Answer our prayers & block out the night
Erase the heartaches & wipe away our tears
Unravel Your words of life & delight

A Stone In The Cold - 6

Ahead, the bear in sudden motion stands. With a surge of strength, I turn unstayed by fear, a welling force inside to take command. A grim rivalry, but respect we share, yet, uncontrolled the bear imperious roars. With enraged might, he swings his bloody head. His pain in a thundering bellow soars. Off into the dense forest, he has fled. I slip haphazard through death's devious plan, and kneel in the damp crimson covered ground with survival hard-won by these two hands. I rise to face night as darkness surrounds. The wild's full of creatures, stealthy and bold I must build a shelter, to fight the cold.

OPPOSITE RHYTHM

Sleeping during the day,
staying awake at night;
opposite rhythm does harm,
I gulp down strong coffee...
my body shakes like leaves
blown by a chilly breeze.

I don't wonder where
the spotty moon went;
I ponder on words:
leaking fate to loss...
loneliness to cost.

Owls look too sad
without moon rays;
they have no friend...
would that be me?

They know that
opposite
rhythm does harm.

They feel
fear, then

flee.

Oh lonely Inevitable Bear,
Padding claws, death in white
Sorrow in recurring nightmare
Instinct’s test; fight or flight?

Camouflage against the fence,
A challenge; my subconscious fear
Ominous slowly moving silence,
“Let me in, there’s a bear out here!”

Spirituals and Drums

My ancestors walking in the night
using oil lights and moonlight for guides
while being instructed to Wade in the Water
to camouflage their scents like disguise

The Sweet Chariot awaited
so they could ride away
Harriet was a soldier
and it wasn't an option to be caught during the day
That's the same mentality Nat Turner had when he sang
Steal Away

They would follow the drinking gourd
so all were in accord to go north
The Gospel Train was coming
and at the end of the journey
was a fine reward
Freedom was coming
and it was a long time coming and
they walked until they heard freedom bells ringing
and I still hear their tired footsteps running

Thinking of My Darling Nelly Gray
Stolen from my arms a random September day
and eliminated our chances to run away together
No family ties, no love, no strength says the oppressor

Then I hear the drums beat in the darkness
giving me the hope of finally being free
Maybe I'll follow them this time on faith
on bended knee
There must be a place for me among the light
of this darkness
Among oppression, thieves, evil-doers
no thought on their conscience

Thank goodness for the safe houses that
supported our traveled distances
and for the conductors who bore witnesses
and may God have mercy on the souls who
were against this
and on those who chose to forget this sh@!

I still hear crying in quilts of safety
because I know that the burden was heavy
to be at the mercy of nature and patrol men
catching run-away slaves for money
Some did it bare feet with freedom ahead of this
loved induced journey and they made it
So all that bull about how your life is hard
just stuff it in an envelope and save it

Indigenous I Am, from the Stolen Generations

This is a journey, a trip call it what you will It follows the footsteps of my ancestors, and allows my thoughts too spill Firstly let me take you back, to tell you so little of my past Indigenous I am, from the "Stolen Generations" I did not last This is why I must make this journey, to allow me to find the real me To retrace the few steps I made, to rediscover what my young eyes seen How ironic that the person I'll ride with, is the son of the then official Whose deliberation to round up us children, the scene, locale It's now the morn of our travel, where I look I find hard to see The peripheral of the distant horizon, is all that really captures me The town where I grew up so young, barely to the age of five Perth, now bustles like a termites nest, zig zagging in busily strive Into the bush we go, to a place where us youngsters so enjoyed Moore River Native Settlement, which soon became children void As I walk my arid lands, patterned in the heat of this day I recall with every step, where us Indigenous children played We could survive on the smallest of fruit, water we could easily find Even the son of the then official, said that we are a superior kind He marvelled when I spotted tracks, traces of where animals crossed Remembering back to when I was five years old, our lands always talked We opened up as we led our horses, introduced all those centuries ago They opened up my lands, rivers we walked, now the white man flows This is a journey I had to make, it's called, it's in my will No more "Stolen Generations" no more will my culture spill

Philosophical Poetry Week: Transient Tuesday

I am a misprint,
Ink blot on love,
I remain a maybe
Longing for fact,
No speck of lint,
A hand in glove.
Thunder; a baby
Will only react

When you etch
Parallel clouds,
Whistling on cue
To a dead town.
Dream a sketch
Of silent crowds
Becoming you,
This boiling crown

Chews thought
Into flagellation.
Holes in the walls
To spy through,
Seeking a sort
Of bricked-up sun.
A heaven of halls,
All leaving you.

Paper and Plastic, is Man Fantastic

Me, I'm just part of mother earth
I'm just a little particle
At least mother earth knows I'm worth

Me and other particles
We make up her ground
For purity it is, it's found all around

For millions of years
We absorbed so many things
Decaying plants and flesh
In daily life it brings

Then the day arrived
With the experiments of man
Creating what was never here
Was it in their future plans

I can still recall the day
Seeing a fluttering near me
It was so white, drifting like a leaf
But I couldn't picture the tree

Beside me it lay
Not for long, just a couple of weeks
Here, then it was gone
Us particles no longer weeped

The fortunate in us lived on
Living many, many years
But this day I'll always remember
Us particles choked, and lingering tears

Generations now have passed
The same colour, white like the paper
This time it never left
Mans creation, who cares, their caper

Ode on Sorrows

A traveler has traveled far and wide,
Lost in the plains of yellow flowers and Poppies
He saw the tree that stood
An Oak tree it was, with stream of water from underneath.

A reflection of his image he saw,
A fallacy he denied.
Like a fool he talk to trees and skies
The west wind blew and his heart felt
Heard his name sorrow, thus the wind Whispers
“A man is weight by the sorrow in his heart”

Thirsty, he drank from the stream.
Bitter it was, but the stream was as clear as the sea
An epiphany he had, the taste of bitterness,
Was from his heart, the taste of sorrow.

Green grass withered and the sun died,
Illuminated by the night skies;
He mocks the heavens
And he curses the ground.

The heaven cried out,
“Man is imprisoned in the passage of time”
The stars died too
The stream dried out and came a man
“I am thy sorrow, thy need, thy fallacy”.
“I live in denial, for I know not the man I see,
I know not of my weight, my sorrows”

“The yolk of life that I carry has undone me”
“Emptiness in a man’s heart is the presences of grief
Atlas! How well did my heart grief” said he
“How well did my heart swallowe’d”

Darkness came over the plain,
the beauty was shunt from man.
A voice he heard,"nature of man is beautiful and deceitful"
Dawn came, blissful, as the early birds began to sing
the dew drops that fell on the grass, illuminated the plains
his heart was filled with tears of truth.

THE FULL MOON BLOOMS

Tonight, the full moon blooms
And foils the looming gloom.
The remnant doom from noon
Has lost it's bullish tune.
And embraces dusk's eerie cool.

The village square it illuminates
Arena of moonlight tales of late
The little ones gather and wait
While the elderly engage in debates
And the goats noisily ruminates

The bright night, lights sparks
Of bliss and joy in trees' barks
The tall iroko whistle in parks
Where young lovers end their tracks
And skimpy skirts lose their tacks

The son of perdition frets unsure
The thief in the night fears exposure
The pirate sailor steers from ashore
The night fisherman denied action
For the kind light bathes the ocean

Tonight, the full moon beams proud
As the town crier makes his round
Belting forth a piercing sound.
While the town's chorus echoes loud
The stage is set for the yearning crowd

The escape

The Escape.

Two field mice took a walk one day
Then feeling tired, they'd walked a ways
They thought they'd stop and rest a while
For home was further on some miles.

Then they heard the pad of old Toms paws
Which spooked them quite a bit I'm sure
As the cat purred loudly to see the mice
And thought "a meal it would be nice!"

Their whiskers quivered nervously
As, our two mice made haste to flee
So off they scampered for their lives
As old Tom cat for them did strive

That old cat looked he, high and low
And where they were he didn't know
As the two they trembled neath a bush
They could almost touch that mean old puss.

Then Tom gave up and skulked away
And the two mice lived another day
And their lungs filled up with gratitude
They'd foiled that old tom cat, so rude.

THE MEADOW OF GRAPE HYACINTHS

Beyond the maple hills that have fought many storms,
gales don't disturb the meadow of grape hyacinths:
observe the Aurora Borealis paint the soft azure sky
into a glittering, robust gold which the fading moon envies
as thick dew starts dripping from them like idle rain often does...

Over there a varicolored aura of glitter always appeared,
and from a run-down shack blue grass was played on time...
drunken with buck beer, the big fellow with frizzy, red hair
anxiously stepped outside and started the ritual of vain fools:
thinking that fire would have burned the Earth and he would have died.

Bobtails watched him and wondered what made
his face so red and his dirty feet miss a step as he fled
to reach the meadow of grape hyacinths to cry out and curse God,
but his cussing nobody heard while his anger increased into the unfolding dawn...
exhausted from screaming he got up listening to a rustling sound coming from behind.

He looked around and saw nothing moving,
" It must be a squirrel searching for food, " he thought to himself
then a swishing wind knocked him down and an eagle swooped down to seize his beer,
" From now on, I'll never return to the meadow of grape hyacinths! " he vowed.

As time went on, he forgot his promise to never go back,
but one spring morning getting up early to watch the brilliant dawn from his shack,
he remembered the meadow of grape hyacinths and with the strong urge of seeker...
he raced there to catch the last rays of that sunrise to proclaim himself its keeper.

Ode to Maggie

Today I whispered my fears to you --
Wrapped my arms around your hard body
Scales tickling the underside of my arms
You've been keeping my secrets
     since I was ten
You were barely as big as I
     now behemoth
You can almost touch the sky
Reach right up and greet the sun for me
I bury treasures at your feet --
Dig down deep into the earth
Careful not to tap a single root
You've been the protector of my bounty
     for your entire life
What knowledge you bear, all for a little girl

In gratitude, as proof of Your love
     You present to me
          One perfect white blossom

Nature's Single Dad - The Australian Emu 2 THE DAYS CONTINUE

NATURE’S SINGLE DADS:
THE AUSTRALIAN EMU

The next sixteen months:

CRR-ACK ~ “That’s loud,” he exclaims getting up on his legs, so knobbly and thin.
He looks down to the ground,
where he first heard the sound,
and says, “Now it’s your turn to begin.”

Hours go by, as each little chick tries to break free of its protective cover.
They all work their way,
throughout the long day,
then all greet their father-come-mother.

For his new family he breaks the last shell. To his fluffy striped chicks, he’s their mother.
As they grow older under Dad’s shoulder
he will nurture, each sister and brother.

In time, they will leave his home on the dance floor; a single dad, with chicks he will roam.
With high steps he will prance.
They will learn every dance
for survival, before he goes home.

With the changing seasons, Emund finds reasons to leave his young chicks on their own
Others join with his brood
now there’s plenty of food,
Emund turns and again, he’s alone.

Not taking the chance of being late for the dance Emund picks up his speed on the track.
They won’t meet at his gate
if he gets home too late
to dance to the rhythms of the outback.

The Australian Emu; one of Natures' Single Dads worthy of a mention for the survival of the species in the extremes of the outback.

To Hell and Back

It was a mere noise,
which turned into agonizing cries.
The smell of filth stained the air.
As i looked at those big doors,
a tongue of flame leaped through them,
as terror crept unto my body.
The groans of hell hounds echoed.
Fear was almost tangible.
I was a soul destined to hell.

But in a split, the scenery metamorphosed.
A distant music turned into pleasurable laughter.
The fragrance of flowers complimented the air.
As i looked at those wide open, welcoming doors,
rain of purity sprinkled like blessings,
as sunlight warmed my soul.
The chirping of birds was playing.
Peace was almost tangible.
I was the spirit destined to get away from hell.

Entered in PD's contest.
Ranked 3rd.

Lions will be lions

Humiliation occurs
When pigs and monkeys roars
How a pig became a lion?
How , How a monkey roars?
That's when you stop saying NO
Humiliation occurs
When the lions are here
When the lions onshore
Pigs will be pigs
A monkey will stand for
A monkey , no less , no more

Dedicated to an author by the name of William Golding... Enjoy!!!

They discover a lagoon~
Ralph teases him by calling~~

The island with 'em

He has no clue

Other boys appear -
All diverse shapes and sizes
What'll happen next??

A Stone In The Cold - 5 Runner Up

The hunter hunted; the past comes stalking,
breath now visible, I quicken my pace,
dusk has fallen, nature is now talking,
autumn's chill causes my heart to race.

My eyes scan dense forest from left to right,
I stop, gain my footing in the thicket,
only branch and crimson leaves in my sight,
owls call out, and prey upon the cricket.

Voices seem to speak from the babbling brook,
cold stones, worn smooth, waters of countless days,
eyes are everywhere, yet nowhere I look,
something is near, I cannot get away.

Struggling, my arrow kept at the ready,
my once stealthy hand, is now unsteady.

This was my original entry for Debbie Guzzi's contest - "A Crown of Sonnets"

(This is also the first sonnet that I had ever written.)

Green Haloed Glow

The nearly full moon's haloed glow
Doesn't cast shadow on hedgerow
For it's almost hidden by dark clouds
Eerily peeks through leafless willow

The night's darkness could be shroud
Coat all eve's creatures in velvet proud
All that eerie green glow_which frights
Came out from behind thundercloud

Dark night laced by cobalt and black
Hinders my vision of few stars on track
Leave the dark come to inside lights
Avoid demoniac counterattack

Speckled Mist

Speckled Mist
 Beautiful colors, magnificent swirls
Large enough to consume our world
Then as if connected to an invisible cord
All become stiff as an old iron board

More beauty than could ever be caught
Its multitude could never be bought
The force of it all becomes unstoppable
Within one breath it forms into a single giant molecule

Watching all things stiff
 Starts forming a speckled mist
 Within a dark green hiss
 It's a piranhas kiss
 Thats what that is

And out of the violet mane
 There hearts open souls untamed
From speckles to freckles to lines we would miss
 Within a males pyist
It's love not in a grist
It just keep forming out a name
Once again eyes wide open love without game

Rowdy Racecar

ZOOOOOOOMING speedily…
Tires squeaking from exhaust… high in volume
Racecar spews out smoke…
Blinding the eyes of a thousand fans

Blooming havoc…
Explosions avalanche downwards
Racecar drives fast and furiously
Awesome feelings launch through me
Projecting panic and twisted bliss

Catching the audience’s full attention…
Tension between challengers increase
Who could stand in their way… not even the coaches
Racecar screeches on the racing street…
Ain’t this competition neat? Come! Take a seat!
This event is brilliant – it’s such a treat!

Producing thrill or disappointment…
Car organs, fragments, shards, remains, limbs, veins
Spurts out in flames… flying at every possible direction
Countless racecars… barely functions – this scene is extremely horrendous!

Yet, the victories are gracious!
Vibrant applauses and thanksgiving triggers enlightening cheer
Have no fear!!!
The moment is ever so precious!

Racecar…you make so much racket and suspense!
Rowdiness is in your nature…who will pay the expense??

Getting Old

As I sense the daylight strut through my mind,
I open my Squint's just enough to find,
one more day on this circle called Earth.
only 20,125 since the day of my birth.

I pull myself up with creaks and groans,
not stopping once until I've reached my thrown.
Start, Stop, Start, Stop life has played a trick it seems,
making this function that should be simple,
most difficult for me.

My friends all tell me age is just a number,
and I couldn't agree more.
20,126 and counting as my feet hit the floor.
Start, Stop, Start, Stop prostate exam on the 5th,
why, this growing old isn't all that hard as I take one more barium sip.

The hair is diminishing on the top of my head,
but growing in my ears someone once said.
The wrinkles on my for head that once never showed,
20,127 just a roadmap to go.

It use to be my youth was free, careless, casual, and wild.
now in my old age I'm sorry to say; I 'm out dated, out witted and out styled.
so to be apart of the elderly,
you have to be a bit bold.
just get use to the fact for the rest of your life,
you'll always be getting old.

A Lily in the Sun

And time
like a lily
drying in the sun.
The beautiful moments
fading into memories;
the beautiful colors
fading into grays.
And time,
slipping through our fingers
quaking on the surface
of the earth.
Quaking and trembling
because it is afraid.
You see,
time is ending.
Time is running out.
And when the universe
extends her fragile hand
and brushes away
the dust of our existence--
the fragments of our time,
no, our times--
seconds,
minutes,
hours,
days
gone into the wind
like the withered,
falling petals
of a lily in the sun.

fracking oil

should I believe you man in the suit?
oh your hair looks mighty fine
combed back, your polished slacks
a slight tan
you are irresistible in your presence
demanding attention.
you have a face that looks right
nothing you say would be out of sight
nothing you do would steer me wrong
oh man in the suit,
you are my god.
you have the power to make us thrive
dig a hole
to the other side
not to china, but to the fuel
oh man in the suit
I cannot trust you
you dug too deep
into a pocket of the earth
looking for more resource
to fill your own pockets
but I don't want pockets
man in the suit
all I want
is for you to tell the truth
your polished smile did us wrong
lies lay upon your clever tongue
and you continue to rule the earth
digging your holes
you find more girth
to your hungry pockets
which you try so hard to fill
when will you learn
that filling pockets kills...

Armageddon Pt 1

It's bout to get worse
It was written in the verse
The truth hurts
ARMAGEDDON WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

When the time comes
No one's gonna hold up a sign
saying it's time to "get right"
It's gone come like a thief in the night!
Blowin' up and wreckin ish!
The war you want is the war you gone get
It was written before our time
We keep looking at the signs
manifest before our very eyes
constantly denying our right
to be one of the meek ones of our time
ARMAGEDDEON WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

We're at the end of what used to be existence
Every super power will answer to a higher power
so pray repentence
The time is closer than any distance
From Washington to Obama
No one will escape the wrath!
Hope you choose the right path!
Narrow is the gate of the righteous tracks
that are imprented on the mind of the omnipotent one
Will you be spared life on earth with the meek ones
and accurately take in knowledge of his son?
OR will you perish in the dust
never to be awakened again?
No consciousness of sin
ARMAGEDDON WILL NOT BE TELEVISED!

It's in the verses
Read it, see it, live it, rehearse it
You see the times changing
You see the minds fading
You see the world and how messed up it is
You see that nigga satan and his curses!
I pray to have a chance to live a beautiful paradise on earth like it say in the verses!
ARMAGEDDON WILL NOT BE TELEVISED

YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN WARNED

BLOOD IVORY'S JAWS

From deep beneath,
Murky waters flow,
Amidst currents depths
Divides.
Two eyes watch the waves,
Tides.
Primal fear grips mans basic,
Instinctual need to survive.
Hear the music echoing,
And see the fin surfacing.
Predations unseen predator,
Glides at hells speed.
Natures gray phantom,
Feeding hungers unsatisfiable,
Carnal lust.
Perfections ultimate creation,
A killing machine, fueled by
Poundage’s in take of flesh and
Bone.
Camouflages deception masters,
Dwelling in hidden shallows,
 Blacked realm.
Waiting ever aware, for deaths,
Calling, blood Ivory's crimson.
Jaws smile at unguarded preys,
Weakening moment to strike.
The hunters thus emerge,
 Leaving redresses chum field,
Behind in destruction’s wake.
Behold wreckage’s ruins, a harvest
Of humanities leavings,
Left overs floating above.
Just when you thought it was safe,
To go back into the water?
Someone screams Shark, SHARK!!!

THE DUCK BLIND

Every autumn in the Chaos Mountains
the wind blows through the tall grass
& the rain stalls, fitful in its sublimity.
It is not a season for speaking. Only for listening.
Out there, somewhere beyond the horizon
a silence that is not silence, calls,
& men enter the duck blind, and wait,
huddled with their cartridges & ambiguities,
disguised to themselves as hunters,
re-inventing themselves with rifle eyes
fixed on some vanishing point beyond the language
of rivers & trees, turned away from
the here & now - a tempting non-existence
accompanied by hope, which may be nothing more
than the promise of a big dinner with
lots of stuffing and gravy and no questions.

My Nest

Love is my nest.
It holds me
where all the world I see.
It saves me
from the ground
which my soul will never meet.

Up in a forest tree
hunters scattering in threes
they'll never catch me
I have love.
I am perfectly happy.

relaxed I am
I do not stress
for there isn't life
without my nest.

who cares what's below?
I am above.
love is my nest
My nest is my love.

I'll keep dancing forever

I’ll keep dancing forever

In this wonderful world that I’m in
Everything is a beautiful dance
I don’t know what’s coming before me
It’s a sweet game of wonderful chance
So many get caught in the fear game
As each day does crush them some more
But I’m on a wonderful journey
Though I know me not what’s in store

The end I can see in the future
But what is the future I ask
The past it has gone like the dust in the wind
So, can in the future, one bask??
So I say ‘who cares’ it’s all nothing
Just an old boat afloat on the sea
As it waits to be broke by the ocean
And join in with eternity.

So it’s all a dance, to my thinking
The good parts, the bad parts as well
And me I don’t know where I’m going
Don’t believe in no Heaven, nor hell
One dances, no thought for the ending
And so it’s the same with my life
I’m going to get into the dancing
Through all of my love, joy and strife.

We Visitors

Dogs bark
as we are strangers on this block
the night
is not used to intruders like us
the crickets
don't even trust our footsteps

just past eleven
and the windows have eyes
curious
of our unfamiliar presence

and I can't hardly blame them

we don't spell trouble
but the cicadas
and their fellow creature's trust
has worn thin

a dark cat
(I'm betting is black)
is tiptoeing this way
he's been sent to take a closer look
the watchman of their darkness
whose intentions are
that we might possibly see him
and feel the need to go away

but the night is a puppy
and we're not going anywhere
it will take a much bigger spook
than a (black?) feline
to scare us away

we've got tiger's blood
and the dogs
cats
crickets
cicadas
creatures
and neighbors
all know it
we called their bluff

and it's getting late
for them
but its damn early
for us

grab me something cold to drink
it's going to be a long night alright!

Light To Dark

You think you’ve gone just far enough,

I could smile knowing you’ve gone far enough that you can’t go back again

You think you were careful but,

I’ve caught a glimpse of your true, wretched form

You think you can find a way into my good graces

I’ve seen what you are, monsters with a friendly costume

You can’t deceive me anymore and, I don’t consort with serpents

You think I’m a game to be played but, trust me, you could never win

Don’t underestimate me

You think I’m a joke but, trust me you won’t be laughing

You think I’m just talking myself up but, trust me, you’re the ones going down

My eyes took too long to adjust

Better late than never

It may take a monster to know one but, I promise my teeth are sharper than yours

My first reaction to the hideous revelation that was your form was to weep

Fall to my knees, maybe even wretch my heart from my chest and onto the carpet

Then I thought about the mess it would make

I decided the only blood that will spill, will be your own

I was not weak, but I had a weakness

A heart of soft gold stitched to my sleeve with care

No longer

Now my heart is a stone so heavy

I could kill at least two birds at once

Being the nice guy is a thing of the past

Thanks for freeing me of that softness

You thought I was all sunshine and delicate things

When really I had just been swallowing razor blades

Now that sun is setting and I hope you see it was you who were wrong

Can you feel my darkness coming, because it’s eager to hold you

If you thought I was the one who would just stand still or turn to run

Your gonna be the one with tired feet

I’m not sad anymore

Just sick with the plague of your lies

Contagious, and I’m looking for someone to kiss

Even angels can make themselves wicked

When we do, we take no prisoners

Still think I’m a game

This one is just beginning

Dead Winter

The cabin sits against the forest wall
hidden from human site, it stands alone
isolated
in the dead of winter, the cold has a jagged edge
things crunch
twigs snap, upon a sparrow's landing
the freezing wind brushes painfully across the cabin
like an artist, whose hands are brittle with decay
forcing the branches to scrape along the upstairs window
like fingers trying to get inside.
the cabin creeks, showing its age
as it settlets in, for a long winter
outside, the wind continues to show its fury
as the cabin's walls whistle eerily, to see whose listening
the clock chimes downstairs

For now....
we are not concerned about the footprints, leading to the back door
they are of no consequence at the moment
but in a few minutes, maybe less
they will be.
the cabin stands alone
hidden, isolated
in the dead of winter
no one can hear you scream
the deadbolt turns....

IN A BRIGHT STUDIO OVERLOOKING THE NOISY STREET

In a bright studio overlooking the noisy street,
I hide from the living to write with a frantic beat;
loud voices and sounds will subdue before dark...
very sweet is the the melody of the lonely lark.

Even when it snows, the view is quite awesome:
watching snowflakes slowly come down and dress
trees in glistening white...one can feel lonesome
when every audible sound is hushed by stillness.

How lovely it is when happy faces peak from windows!
They may seem immensely surprised or stupefied;
and some even open their doors and come outside
to observe the fluffy snow descend on the pines' boughs.

I pause for another minute, then resume my writing...
it's profound observation that inspires the heart and mind,
giving this motivated poet many ideas of positive feeling;
I sense and absorb them, not noticing kids getting wild.

In a bright studio overlooking the noisy street,
I fear shadows towards evening when feet
make deep footprints that lead to my stairs...
and afraid of ghosts, I begin chanting prayers.

A Walk Alone

Quick as a blade lunging forward to claim a life, is this darkness falling upon me. Whispers of a sorrow, known so long ago, float in the thickness of the night. Twigs snap in the distance, I turn but my eyes fail me.. My own hand in front of my face goes unseen... then, all becomes quiet...
Walking along a gravel path, each step makes the pebbles unearth and dance along side me until coming to a halt.. Searching for even the slightest sign of light.. my head tilts towards the sky looking for the moon or the stars to show me what little comfort they could offer.. I am alone. Even they have abandoned me on this wicked night. Owls hooting in the midst of this forest, as if to let the rest of the forest know I am here.. and I am alone.. the wind at my back shows no mercy on my path to find light.. it taunts me, urging me to run as if it knows something I do not.. As soon as that thought was finished, a screech!
Snapping and cracking from branches being broken in a direct path to me. Finally I can take it no more, rendered so helpless, Frantic, I run blindly with arms reached out in front of me to take the blunt force of whatever I may run into.
suddenly, there is a loud "THUD"...
The screeching stops, as do I.. Heart pounding intensely, it is as if it is not my heart at all, but drums being played.. Lungs threatening to collapse as my knees buckle. Tears of fear streaming down these burning cheeks..
whats that? Foot steps! I ask myself, from where? I spin, there!
Don't scream, don't move.. Crouched down low to the ground. Eyes burning from the rush of tears, heart wrenching and twisting between my ribs.
A light! Scared, I stand.. One moment passes and the next I'm running... but why? Light is what I'm searching for! No..safety.. from fears and my pain...
This forest is a manifestation of my fears.. I must face them!
My feet come to a steady stop. Turning to face the enclosing footsteps.. My adrenalin is fading I can now feel where the broken branches had their way with the bare skin of my arms and legs. I can feel the lumps forming.

The light!
Eyes shut I cling to a nearby tree.. deep breaths in, deep breathes out.. bracing myself for what is about to come.

My eyes dart open...

Gift Of Mortality

An earthly existence
A universe beyond my minds, comprehension
I die
I rise
Life lessons reviewed
Homeward bound
I am not lost, after all!
I am a willing participant
Serving, the Father, of all creation
His son combined, ‘producing life’ as we know it
Representing them, in everything I do
I am nothing, without Love!
My heart full of faith, loyal service I give
Learning how to unconditionally serve, as the Father unconditionally, loves me
Worshipping our Divine Creator’s existence
Choosing to live, moment to moment
Being as one with ‘Our Universal Father’
No physical permanency
My physicality, disappearing
My mortality existence, I let go of
Death temporary
My spirit alive!
Relief, Peace
‘I am only passing through!’
A unique, experience of mortality
A gift, I am blessed to experience, to live!

Growing in Hell And Peace

Just like the Earth,
I'll grow full to bloom;
And as my body changes,
my mind does too.

The place I call home,
people burning others to succeed;
All the sadness and the madness,
and one trying to be the best to lead.

They say the grass grows greener on the other side,
but I fail to simply agree;
And if that is possible,
then why does everyone look so unhappy?

I'm sick of living in hell on Earth,
where's the peace when you need it?
I can't find it anywhere,
or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough for it.

You feel the burns without seeing the flames,
no one tries to put the flames out;
Either you hear the people screaming,
or running around out and about.

Growing in hell and peace,
is not as easy as a gentle floating flower;
But if we can find some way to be happy,
we can make us a better world together.

The Mountains

The silhouettes of the mountains reveal a face
Enveloping the irises with a mystifying gaze
Far into the depths—lost faces are revealed
The spirit of the empty and lost—reveled
And as the darkness burns throughout the night
One is left with a sense of reverence for the forms
One is left with a tempest—elevating the soul

The Water

The water is calm and still but I feel the movement of a single leaf plummeting on the surface of the water. The water so very silent I can hear a tiny tear drop collide with the water looking up a hopeless little girl begs for help but I don't know how.

My first steps the water feels cold the more I walk in the deeper it gets. As I stand in the water its no longer cold but comforting. As I stair in to the water I see the refection of the trees behind me. The water so mysterious who knows what lies beneath all I know is the grass and my feet.

As I walk out of the water my feet feel cold and bare. They no longer stand in the water where they stood before.

The Ibis episode

The Ibis Episode

Today I walked into my garden
To give our dog attention
{Now he’s a dog so big and strong
I guess this I should mention}
And then my eyes, rested upon
This bird, a sacred Ibis
Which made me worry quite a bit
Cause my pond was filled with fish.

This big birds strutted round the place
He could not seem to fly
But I knew that if my Boy caught him
The poor bird well might die
So I was in a quandary
As to what I well might do
So I put the dog into the house
So I could think thing s through

I walked up to the mulberry tree
{He was perched upon a limb}
And I really got quite close to him
And softly spoke to him
He didn’t seem to mind at all
But then, he flew away
It seems he wasn’t hurt at all
Which really made my day.

In defense of the chook

The chook defense

Now I’m no vegetarian
Though I’d like that this could be
At seventy I’ll never change
So I’m just stuck with me
And I really love’s me chook
In every kind of way
But now I’m in the mood I’m in
I just have this to say…..

If we’re going to eat these chooks
Don’t we owe them some respect
We treat them like commodities
But what I might reflect
Is, if we treat these creatures thus
That God placed on this earth
Then we neglect our very souls
And too our own self worth.

Those birds are treated so damn mean
How can one understand
This cruelty, are we then humane?
It don’t look too damn grand
And where’s the goodness in a food
That’s never seen the sun
So when we treat these birds like this
What damage have we done?

That chicken flue was scary, once
But who knows much at all
About the karma that can come
From things, unnatural.
It’s time for changes in this world
When dosh is not the ‘all’
And then humane might be a word
That’s truly wonderful

God help the foolish

God help the foolish

Everywhere I go
The trees grow oh, so tall
The birds, they whistle cheerily
It’s all so wonderful
This world is filled with beauty
To feast the eyes upon
God help us all when all of this is gone.

Some folk worship money
They have no other view
Short sighted is the way they look
They never see what’s true
Destroying untold beauty
For the power of owning all
They are killing everything that’s beautiful

God help the foolish
They know not what they do
They bring down forests to the ground
God help those crazy few
Where will they get their oxygen
When all the trees are gone
God help them with their foolish carry on.

A world without the beauty
Of trees, and birds, and flowers
Would crush one’s soul so heavily
Why do they need this power?
Oh, what’s the good of money
If this is all there be?
This planet dies, as I watch helplessly.

Africa III

Heart pounding
Nervous feeling
Overwhelming
Deep breath to shake it
Cold chill slivers down fast

Beating against cage of heart
Cage of body
Cage of soul
Legs begging to run
Heart aching to be free
Truth to self
aching to be seen

Sweet scent of dry savannah plains
Sharp smell of thorny veins
The aroma of Africa surrounds
Scents sights sounds
In these home is found

Frustration mounts
Captured leopard
Bound

Snarling at every motion made
Scared but defiant
Blinded by fear and rage

Paws long for endless journeys
On paths walked centuries ago
For elegance in element
A space all her own
Where earth still bleeds red on horizon
Morning and night
Continuing the endless fight

Fight for borderless freedom
Everlasting sight
The pale yellow green eyes
Dismays the truth inside
But tell the story
Of wild soul
Story to unfold

A Resolution for This time

A Resolution for This Time
(Based on Eccl. 3:1-15)
©2011 C. Brent Cloyd

I long to see the beauty of my time
Hear music from eternal bells that chime
Enjoy earth, till this good life I sever
Look toward heaven that last forever

I’ll grasp my part in each life occasion
Banish thoughts and deeds of ill persuasion
Accept God’s design for each life season
Submit that I need not know His reason

I will celebrate life so wondrous born
Understand that death is not always scorn
Propagate goodness and wholeness in life
And uproot that which causes pain and strife

I’ll concede it’s sometimes proper to kill
But until convinced I’ll promote goodwill
Useless things I will tear down and destroy
Then plan to build, and work efforts deploy

I will comfort the hearts of those forlorn
Together find God’s healing as we mourn
Dare to dream, love, have hope, and take a chance
Embrace the moment, laugh, and learn to dance

I’ll speak with passion, let pieces scatter
Gather the fragments, avoid the chatter
Engage opinions, proceed with a shrug
When acceptable, open arms and hug

For things of value I’ll search at great cost
When searching is exhausted count it lost
When usefulness has ended, throw away
But don’t allow important things to stray

Now is the time to tear some things apart
Then with care I’ll mend and make a new start
Learn the lesson that silence is golden
Of words fitly said men are beholden

I pledge to hate what is cruel and unjust
Teach that kindness and fairness are a must
In war, anger and malice find release
But I’ll use my voice to encourage peace

Yesteryear’s events once again will be
To measure their success we wait and see
God’s deeds are good, lasting and without flaw
Of Him and His works I will gaze in awe.

Look Around You

Look around you
The world is already at an end
When the Mayans said that the world was going to end
They didn't mean a world destroyed by flare, quake, or salvation
But rather a world full of broken relation
That possibly, it wasn't a literal interpretation
But a figurative analysis of this falling nation
Are we not all the same people, the same human
But we'd rather live a life divided
A life divided by the color of our skin
What is war but greed to keep the amount of money left for our kin
Life is no longer cherished
The earth used for our own experiments until its resources perished
Genocide, assassinations, and murder supported for a "better cause"
Who are we to judge the abominations of others when there is flaw in our own laws
We continue to redefine what is socially accepted
Making a gateway for divorce, abortion, and legal prostitution
Rather than fixing what has been so psychologically rooted into the minds of this generation
We look to cover up past mistakes with a newly corrupted translation
Girls look for sex because of a lack of love from their fathers
Society tells boys to make use of this advantage
Treat girls as objects rather than human beings with emotions
And we later ask ourselves
How did these boys and girls ever become such bad parents
Our government shouts democracy
But isn't that really just a cover up to keep us appeased
It's most convenient when the majority stays quiet
Because only those in power can say that this earth's a heaven
To the majority, this earth is already a hell
The human race is so arrogant
Believing that they are the most superior in this world
That they can live without the mercy of God who should be in control
Look around you
The world is already at an end

The Chiming Winter

She breathes a white mist. Her soul shivered,
Her heart now dissipates on ice.
The snow falls silent, a note unheard.
Belief falters of the Jesus Christ.
It's hot; The salty beads tease her
But her cares are frozen still.
Her naivete of life has dispersed;
In a soundless second, her hope is killed.

The colours are raw.

It is winter now where it was summer then.
Her face is dead. Covered in frost.
She cursed her flaws in heat, now winter made its descent.
The cold wind blows colder,
Her aspirations gone dead pale.
What she feared most held onto her
The ice consumes her warmth; a freezing veil.

"Jesus...why Jesus?"

The sweat is overpowering.
Between her legs dries under the sun.
She hears the melody of his belt singing.
Her scream doesn't bother...her reality cannot be undone.

"Why me Lord? Why me who never sins?"
Silence. It could have been worsened.
Praise be to Him that your life is now ruined
Instead of it stripped away and taken.

Praise be to God for He is good.

God Saw My Distress and Healed Me part 4

This question drives me up and down the walls
I know for certain that God has answered my calls
I can’t hang up on Him…He’s so brilliant
And I’m so little compared to Him…
Maybe I’m little in size and very insignificant compared to the most High
He gives me quite a natural high
He brings me back home and kisses me good night
Without His love, I’d be lost like a sheep losing his shepherd
I feel like I’m separated to God
As if God and I are on both sides of the coin…
Our oceans don’t collide with each other,
But He does make huge tidal waves…
And I make baby waves that swerve up and down
Like a wave’s movement, my life seems to have its low points and high points
But, when I build enough energy, I glide higher than the clouds
Though, unfortunately, I’ve only been dreaming this
Then, I collapse into the sand...my face rubs against it and I have scrapes all over
Sand and water do mix well, but afterwards, the sea shore’s weight will pile up on the bottom of the ocean floor
I can’t imagine how many grains of sand there are on Earth
There are countless amounts of ants on Earth as well
Trillions and trillions of them are in existence
It’s amazing how plants take in Carbon Dioxide
And we breathe in oxygen…
God is a fantastic creator and He did carve His creations pretty well
God saw my distress and He healed me
When I think about Him, I’m speechless and can’t say much
He’s made out of love and He bubbles me up with excitement
I haven’t given Him the credit of working miracles in my life…
But, I don’t want to divorce God…I must propose to Him like a wife
Does to her husband…I want to submit to Him
He made the sunset, the moon and stars
Look! He even made the planets and He healed our scars
He made the flowers, the roses and the creeping bugs
Look! He even made leaves for our eyes to see…
He made the change of seasons
God saw my distress and healed me
God made the wild cats, bears, reptiles
He made us have a brain that is as neat as black and white tiles
God healed me…and I’m simply glad He did so
God wiped out my distress…and He simply dressed me with happiness and He’s in high spirits to see me grow

Difficult Trials -Part 2-

Turn the wheel
*******he sea...
Push aside the misery...
The abominable agony...
Endure this hardship...with me
Fight off the tears and let us roam to sea
Don't make it hard for me
To determine the waters

We are the same kind
If you can be so KIND, let me show you your destiny -
To dwell with me in tranquility

We will try to share our responsibilities...
Take turns and share our possibilities...

How have you been?
Sorry we have shut our ears
To your deafening cries
I'm turning the wheel for you
You're losing energy...be still - why are you so blue?

I'll shut out the feeling of anguish

You'll get what you wish

We will start anew
We will start on a fresh start
We will fulfill our dreams and make them come true
We'll brew away the sadness
I'm determined to eliminate
The distress... swallowing us like a tidal wave...
Behave, you wild childlike waters!! Behave!

Don't worry - we'll get rid of
The limited happiness
And make our heart pump with merriness
Don't be a magnet of depression stress

You'll experience a wonderful opportunity
So you may feel at one with
Our world full of possibilities
And eliminate those cruel, wretched words
That tore apart our responsibilities...
Our activities... our reveries... our possibilities...
That brought us back together

We'll be hiking
These somewhat difficult hardships together

God Speaks Through Thunder

As I sit up in my cozy window seat;
I notice that the sunshine
has disappeared in retreat.
It has left us a very dank, murky,
and unfriendly kind of day;
With dingy clouds lounging over us
in a tempestuous way.
Thundering clouds bellow out their voice in the sky.
While squeezing out massive rain drops from on high.
I survey pedestrians running to take canopy from the rain;
And I hear and see swirling water rushing to the nearest drain.
Suddenly! I am captivated by a fork-like flash
illuminating the sky quite near;
And hot-tempered rumbling and tumbling rage in full gear.
I see God's air-borne creatures flying to take shelter in their nest;
Smartly waiting it out, till the storm takes its rest.
The trees with out-stretched arms, stand still in dorm-like form;
Anticipating the fierce beating they will get from the storm.
With startling strength, screaming winds encircle the house tonight;
Causing the window panes to shudder with fright.
While the huge, expanded raindrops soak everything around;
Lightening bolts angrily shout as they hit the ground.
Without prior notice, I and the whole city become engulfed in darkness;
As the storm violently wrenched down wires, with its powerful ruggedness.
A child in the house shrinks deep down in his bed;
And pulls the blankets up and over his head.
Every sharp voice of thunder clap he does hear;
Strikes him with a stifling chord of fear.
Then a gentle reminder comes to his childish ears;
"Fear not my child, for I am near,
While you sleep, I will watch over you.
Just rest in Me till the night is through."
With the thunderous night over, and the last signs of the storm has passed away;
Sunshine casts its warm penetrating smile on us today.

EYE Don't See -Part 3-

My eyes
Witness your departure
My eyes
Are dripping with hopelessness…
My eyes start to blur…
Melancholy put me under pressure…
Is there a cure to my disease?

You don’t see
The shards of hope that once brought us back together
Just let me search for safety
I’m strong enough to realize that I’m no longer
The weakest prey out there…

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me whimpering like a distraught puppy left on the train tracks?

I’m close to my demise…save me and take me home

Nourish me…and be my beloved friend

Will this friendship last forever?

Hopefully it has no end

Will this cheerful moment help us get along with each other?

Because of you…I feel the need to run
I keep an eye on you – I worry that you’ll hurt yourself again
Because of you…My freedom is nearly gone
I don’t wanna be caught off guard again
Because of you…EYE can’t picture a solution for our vexing dilemma
Because of you…eye can’t focus on my long-term goal

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you sense that I’m giving in to failure?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…I can’t endure
The hardships that you place upon me…
Could you boost up my confidence to overcome
My atrocious anxiety?

I’m just waiting for some sun
To keep me in good hands…
To strengthen me with perseverance …
I’m just waiting until His son
Leads the world outtah Egypt and reveals to us…
His radiance…His dazzling Kingdom –
Vibrant with glee

Your undying sympathy dawns upon us
I’m overflowing with indescribable joy
You’re a candle in the night…
We meet eye to eye…
What a sight…what a precious sight

The Wind:

The wind descended with all its ego
Reaching a cascading crescendo, as i stagger in my thoughts
Of the web which engulfed my rationality
With whips of nature's might mocking my humanity
Its zest cowed my spirit
Trees jerking, buildings barking, oceans oozing
Clattering, spitting, splintering nails shivering...
Sand dunes laughing under its command
Darkness sets in, my lantern snores,
Flickering fear sweeps through my thoughts
As i lay on my couch awe-struck by nature's struggle
An aroma of fear came knocking...
As a sullen wind capsizes my thoughts
It was time for work not dreaming...

The Call of the Swan

A night so cold
Though spring has sprung
Winter so bold
Refuse to run.

Deployed my wings
Wide, gleaming white
Destiny sings
My mate to find.

Flew through showers
Blown about, caught
By strong currents
Of wind so bold.

Rested at night
By ponds and creeks
To avoid plight
Of hungry beasts.

I remember
My parents' love
Their wise lectures
The song they sung.

Yet my heart weeps
For the one I see
In all my dreams
My song won't cease.

As my Father
Found its soul mate,
My sweet Mother
So will I, one day.

I'll fear no night
I'll fear no storm
With the sun I rise
Till light's no more.

Until the day
As I follow the sun
Above clouds of gray
The same song is sung.

For only one
Can sing the same
And I will know
That I found my mate.

The Lord's Peace

Peace
The chaos is shedding
Piece
Of happiness is floating
Cease
The madness..chaos is concealing
Peace
Comes from the Lord -
To Him who mends us all...
To Him who forgives all of our sins
And downfalls
And answers everyone's calls

Dead Winter

Deadly frigid air flows thru into your skin.
Even though you are covered heavily not thin,
Ailing bones are chilled and ache from within.
Driving your soul to seek warmth, even in sin,

Winter is always brutal no matter when it does begin.
I endure the opacity, much as possible within my den.
Nearer the intensity grows; I know soon spring will win.
Traces of a devil in white, deceiver that brings chagrin,
Evil darkness with blinding whiteness portrays Mickey Finn.
Revelations that you hide will slip up unto pallid skin.

Difficult Trials -Part 1-

Turn the wheel
Out of curiosity
I'll be generous...you'll receive
Something special...something to make you whole
Though the trials you must run through
Are a great struggle that can easily
Pull you down
And I want to erase your frown

You will feel way better about yourself
Just trust me...take my hand...
I'll encourage you to have a satisfying time
Just for your own liking
We'll be hiking
Those somewhat difficult hardships
Together for eternity
We'll spend time in the future
Together in unity

*******he sea...Let's flee and be free!
LOOK how nice you look!

Trample those insufferable nuisances
That dare put you down
To the sea floor
I'll push them to the core!

Feel free to walk the

Pink Slime

Pink Slime, Pesticides
And chicken thighs bigger than my thighs

And we wonder why there is an increase
in learning disabilities among children today
I say it’s because the process, that the food is processed and grown and raised, is
compromised by demand, money, greed or fame.
I do understand that demand is high
so we have to do somethin’

So to compete, we inject hormones into the very animal or plant that is sold for consumption
So now we eat these hormones and our bodies are stressed because of the added pesticides and herbicides and other sh#! that’s hard to digest

I mean what’s really the cause?
There’s more kids with disabilities today than there ever was
I say it’s because like the story is told in the verses, that knowledge is increasing in man and the result is not what He purposed.

Pink Slime and Pesticides..We’re eating stuff that’s been chemically grown inside…and chickens bigger than my thighs

Emotional Hole

I did not find myself to be so important
So I ask my friends do I seem distant?
When I ask the question I had received an answer, Yes
So I think that made it clear that I had been not the best
I am a friend of a friend that talks so many things
That friend talks to much it is insane and insanity it brings
I do care, about my friends they are all good people
They tend to stand on their high steeple
Today I find myself not so aware
Disbanding my fear of regret and care
Walking many different paths I see that I have found holes
It is the path that people choose to use to fuel their rage with coals
Coals are partially burnt wood or fossils a piece of fuel
It is the source of burden and fire a rage of emotions that stands cruel
It can be warm and caring, but it also can be baring
I just start to feel so low, below the ground I keep on staring
I reach for my friends so many times I feel so ignorant at times
Just once I feel I should not rely on them when feeling I can not find
I dig my hole deeper and I can not climb out
For some reason I am just full of doubt
I care about so many things and what I have is confusion
One person should be all I should think about to get out of that illusion
My battle in my heart and mind is not at all so pleasant
I feel so alone in an island that is shaped like a crescent
My emotions is like coinciding with a diameter of the semicircle
Not a full emotion that is complete like a circle
My feelings is circular full of incomplete thoughts, so much deeper
I feel it will wake up my evil half a evil soul that is a sleeper
What question should I ask myself? to believe that I am not so alone
As I feel like a person who is deteriorating to the bone
I ask my friends the same question once again
I figure I should do it, to know what kind of feelings I should end
So many thoughts that come out of my feeling
I feel like my friends take, an emotional trauma of stealing
They ask me questions and I answer theirs
But when I need mine answered I feel burning inside like a flare
Are they even friends when they do not take me serious in anyway
Just put me in my hole cause I feel nothing in their will be getting in my way
It's just so simple to answer someones problem
I answer friends with beauty of a rose, but when they answer mine I get the stem
I know the stem is very important in life, with out it how can a rose be a rose
With a hole to put the root and stem in how can it grow
The words we speak I guess is like all natural things we reap and sow

rogue nightmares

I am the lion of the serengeti
the lion who circles the boma
listening for the yelp of the hyenna
watching the buzzards drop from the sky
I am the lion because the wild is my father
and nature is my mother and the instinctive killing nature runs in my blood
I am the eater of death the carrion carrier of the dead
I help the cycle of life complete its revolution
I am the lion because unity says I am

I am the lion the ghost and the darkness I cricle the villages listening for the faint cries of infants the smell of flesh excites my senses
I am the image projected through your nightmares
the fangs the claws the devilish piercing eyes reflecting back at you with no sense of mercy just a lust for hunger I am the lion because the law of the universe says i am

I am the great white shark who swims 50 feet per second no man can out swim me
I am the great white who can detect the faintest drop of blood miles away
whos eyes are darker than any abyss or the deepest point of any ocean

the emptiness of my eyes strike the universal fear into the hearts of all who encounter my presence.
I am the great white whos teeth out number the generations of your family
whos teeth are as sharp as a seraded edge knife who leave mangled body parts floating
as nothing more than mere debris in my domain.
the domain of my ancestor the leviathan
I am the great white who resides in my mothers womb forever
I am the great white who no man can tame for the law of the universe and the spirit of my ancestors will not allow man to cage me but to put forth fear into the hearts of men and cage and bind the imaginations of men
I am the great white a solitary creature of the deep to cross me is to pay the toll to the fairyman into the land of the dead
I am the great white because the law of the universe says i am

the river

The River
The river that crosses the high plain like
an artery has only muddy water since it
didn´t rain in the summer.
Wild horses and donkeys come here to
drink, but often they look up and scan
the horizon weary of man and his dogs.
They served mankind for thousands of
years but with modern farming methods
they are no longer needed and have gone
feral. Free now, but freedom comes at
a prize, winter can be hard and often they
are hunted by sportsmen who kill for fun.
By the mountain there is a corral but only
the stupid and sick go there, the rest know
they are fattened up and used as sausage
meat, which the town uphill is famous for.
Every Octobers there is a gigantic party in
the hill town, beer is senselessly drunk and
tons of sausages eaten, the river, that crosses
the plain, becomes a putrid pool of human
waste till winter rain falls and clears it away.

THE SOFTNESS OF THE RESPLENDENT MOONLIGHT

Rainy nights have hidden
the friendly moon that visited my flowery window;
that was two seasons ago...
when I told her big secrets and didn't conceal pain.

The red-eyed owls watched me strangely and pitied my loneliness;
was I insane for staying up so late?
But sleep was like tasting real death...
I asked myself the same question, " Why dream until daybreak? "

The softness of the resplendent moonlight
must return on the same hour, and paint this sad face with silver moonbeams;
only then my dark night will turn bright...
to relive those summer's nights again and give life to another dream that gleams.

EYE Don't See -Part 4-

My heart is beating with upbeat delight
You astound me…in every shape and form
My spirit is dancing with unbreakable might
You surprise me…when you take my hand
And pull me outtah my jail-like dorm

And He dismisses me from my solitude…
My eyes are glistening with bliss…
And I’m far from my demise…
Only to find that there’s no need to feel helpless

Why do you spoil me rotten with your fatherly affection?

Just protect me from any harm
Let me make my own decisions…
To see the results in the long run

You prize me as if I’m cherished like your carefree child
You don’t understand – I’m TOO foolish and wild
I haven’t even reached to full maturity
But how eye hope to see myself grow and be set free
From the world’s mayhem
Is there a solution to this problem?

And I’m left with no answer…
My eyes are eager to see…another bright day
And the night is coming to haunt me…
I find myself slowly disappearing from sight…
When will God give me a purpose to fight?
When will He feed me His awesome might?

Just support me…especially during my downfalls
Please answer my calls!

And I’m left to venture off into His path…

Eye can’t escape my terrible nightmares
Consider my calls of acceptance…my grief weighs a ton
Let me pour forth my tears –
Do me a favor and cast away my fears
Steer me away from disorder and confusion

Eye can see you’re making great progress
You’re heading towards a brighter, superb future…

My eyes
No longer witness oblivion
My eyes
Looks beyond the earthly pain…
bEyOnD the affliction

I spot a rope in the distance. . . . .

Push aside the waves…and let me
Grab it this instant!
God feeds me His love…and treats me
Like a newborn infant!

Eye see my Father with brand-new eyes
I feel rare content
And I feel hardly any resentment

Eye
cherish
that
REMARKABLE

The Wonderful Lens

A number of tasks to handle,
and not even a space left to enjoy,
as the work needs to be completed,
as fast as it can be done,
in spite of the hard work,
we do daily,
we do need some respite,
and these could be done,
in a number of ways,
by walking,
or jogging
or by watching television,
or by watching films,
in the multiplexes,
those which lie in every nook and corner of the street,
but some derive pleasure,
through travelling,
others by travelling through the forests,
accompanied by a special companion,
some large and some small,
known as the camera,
taking a step at a time,
as silently as possible,
as to not to wake up the wild living in here,
by capturing the photos of these lovely creatures,
living in here,
some of the these wonderful creatures are seen,
roaming as freely as possible in the wild,
look how carefree they are,
but their ears are opened quite wide,
to heed for any danger,
heading their way,
it’s time for me to return home,
from the wild,
as it is time for me to deliver,
these photos to my manager,
as this has been my job,
for which I do get paid for,
to look after my family,
I do need to hurry,
as I do not travel by four wheelers,
or two wheelers,
as the pollution created by these,
could endanger the wild living in here,
I do travel far and wide,
with my bicycle,
for all the work I do,
and I do not mind this,
as my love for the wild,
exceeds boundaries forever!!

Waiting on our Demise

Sweet pleasure, sweet pain
Hourglass grain
Falling, falling one by one
Days pass, sun by sun
Will it rise? Or stay hidden?
Good riddance, I say
Do we deserve the light?
Perhaps too bright
Our minds a dimmer
Orange ball of shimmer
How we waste you away
This world of decay

EYE OF STORM part II

like an eye of a needle,
so hard to get through.
weather that cripple,

GROWING UP

On the empty floors I am watching the nights roll
flowing in other nights.
Nature's mirror has come to give birth and to destroy
the typhoons are embracing me, an unstoppable power
in my two arms.
Between logic and the holy the notions are lost
I am turning blue inside the sky's blue.
And I return again and again to repay the same sin
upon which my own blood has dropped
and with blood I try for centuries to pay.
My form is drawing circles
-what is your name?-my name is Human.
Can this mortality embrace the darkness?
Can my bare hands hold within them the air?
I was born for the renaissance of colours,
I threw green and yellow at the edge of the horizon,
I painted red the lost dreams of history
and I placed white on all the spots of the sky.
I was born to destroy and I dig pits everyday,
I bury inside them living truths and I cover them with shovel and water.
Be quiet! The seasons are sleeping...
With small knives I carve the corners of the world
until I find the bone to puncture it, deeper and deeper.
Our fears are breaks of the Universe
they are transfered from planet to planet,
they change orbit, while cleaving the clouds.
''Learn how to walk, learn how to talk, learn how to kiss, learn how to leave, learn how to love, learn how to kill"...
Hollow bodies at the mountains top are burning with the flames of redemption.
They carry the same rock everyday, everynight until they reach the end,
the end that doesn't exist.
They fill the glasses with water, the glasses that dont have bottom.
Don't ask me to change the world, you only gave me soil but you have forgotten the water
and with hands dry and dirty I collect time to repay you
for your graces, because there is light and there is darkness, because I stop in front of red and I walk in front of green.
But you don't know, you don't, that I find strenght everyday, since I opened my eyes,
I am preparing in silence and I am clentcing my teeth
because the time will come, when I will throw a big punch at this carton world,
I will tear it up in half and I will see what lies behind,
behind the lie.
Shaken off from my dirty morality
I will touch the sacred redemption
I will wake up from the dream,
I will embrace at last, for the first time, reality.

WEATHER FORECAST

Lately, the weather has dropped drastically,
and Fall holds up serenely and beautifully;
green trees so stately gently fluctuate
against a sky of transparent blue as hummingbirds make plans to migrate,
but the downy woodpeckers interrupt their chat
with their unbearable drumming that disturbs their peace with intent.

Summer in New York State has been humid and stormy,
temperatures rose above a hundred degrees as pavements smoked,
sprinklers in streets made children happy as they were being soaked...
so very thankful to live in a rich country offering such a commodity;
adversely, a water shortage caused drought in the South allowing tragedy
as gasoline and food prices soared and spouses couldn't pay alimony.

Hot summers predict cold winters, and we await a harsh winter...
stock up on shovels and salt, keep your driveway and sidewalk snow-and-ice-free;
will you get help from your kids when snow falls...having you think of electric bills?
No, let them play and have fun...their blood is hot and they feel no chills!
And should you think of joining them, drop your shovel as if stung by a bee!
Which other way is there to endure the wintry weather living as an Alaska bear?

Sliding Down

I’m hoping for my dreams to become a reality
I’m hoping for a phase of gratitude
I’m rejecting my hopeless fate
I’m accepting your side of the story…but don’t intrude

Unexpectedly, I believe in love in first sight
I grab the rope for extra support
It burns like a vertical line of fire
I’m unable to climb, but I seem too far from my desire

I’m sliding down the rope, hanging from heaven
They’re distraught by my absence
They’re cheering for me from down below
I’m sliding down…

I cherish you like my own belongings
I designed you on my bedroom wall
I have you displayed deep in my heart
Believe me – you’ll never split it apart

Every day I long for your touch – you changed my life around
My heart is blazing like the zealous sun…I prize my freedom and progress
The world is spinning endlessly as I kneel upon my knees
And I imagine the memories we share with each other

I’m sliding down the rope, hanging from heaven
They’re distraught by my absence
They’re cheering for me from down below
I’m sliding down…

When I reflect upon the joyous times,
My heart never fails
To pound vigorously for you
I’m sliding down
I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you

I see the light in your eyes
I don’t see an insidious nature in you…
I wish I hadn't believed in the lies
I never felt like a hopeless victim until I gave in to the darkness

I’m sliding down the rope, hanging from heaven
They’re distraught by my absence
They’re cheering for me from down below
I’m sliding down…

I’m glad I've met you in the first place
We’re a perfect match –
Don’t deny it…you made me feel handsome
We’re on the road of victory
We’re making great progress
We’re hanging on the edge,
But we were rescued
From sliding down…

At least we’re kept ourselves alive……

Restore the Walls of Jericho

Blasphemy…cloud over their hearts of gold
Their value gradually diminishes…their weapons turn to mold
Serenity…deserted them and neglected them like orphans
Their joy rapidly wears out…they mislaid their abundant portions

They yearn,
“RESTORE the walls of Jericho!”

Anguish…shadows over their dwelling, sacred place
Their weaknesses manipulate them – they’re the definition of disgrace
Danger…defeats them and tarnished them as if they were worthless
Their prosperity shattered straightaway! REBUILD our merriness!

They plead and pray,
“Dona nobis pacem…”

Hear our hesitation and supplication…we’re beneath the bricks and remains
We’re buried alive literally! We’re becoming one with the ground
Fear and despair erases our soothing dreams…we’re getting washed away in the drains
We’re searching for shelter…we’re getting hunted down – we’re barely surviving

They churn…
They coil…
They drift away…
They spoil…
In their miseries…
Does He hear their pleas?

“SAVE ME!”
“Bestow blessings upon us!”
Are you ignoring us deliberately?
 “Give us a helping hand
And lead us to the promise land!”

Misfortune unravels in this city of bafflement
Their strengths repaired our souls…we’re the definition of bravery!
Desolation and disbelief demolishes the walls of Jericho…
Does anyone sense their resentment?
Their charity transformed to greed suddenly –
Their lack of optimism and gratitude
Buried them down in captivity

How can you bear their poverty?
How can He save them from destruction and pity?

They whisper on His Holy Hill,
“Dona…Nobis…Pacem…”

Don’t let the battle overthrow ’em!

EYE Don't See -Part 2-

My eyes
Refuse to see tragedy
My eyes
Marinate in dread…unable to embrace ecstasy

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

You don’t see
What damage you’ve done
Just let me be
Leave me alone…hand me a gun

I yearn for unspoiled glory
To make me feel perfect once more
I yearn for flawless serenity
To make me feel no regret…don’t ignore
My calls…don’t hang up on me

You don’t see
What damage you’ve done
Just hear my plea
Listen to my excruciating cries…
Listen to the truth, not the malicious lies
Our journey has just begun

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye can’t handle the stress
Let me release my horrendous distress
Eye can see you making that same mistake
At least MY life isn’t at stake

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…do You feel my lament
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…Stepped on like cement
I’m aching with discontent… I abhor this torment
When will peace scrub off my fear?

I can’t believe my eyes
Your guiltiness flows into me…
I can’t believe I fell for your lies
Your heartless action rape my mind…you don’t see
What my EYES see…

You’ll never see
How much pressure you put me under
Unchain me from this chamber
And watch me flee…

When will you be set free?

We Search For Direction

In the beginning of plight,
We venture off and take action
Beyond the mysteries of the day and night
We search diligently for safety and direction

The aftermath of our flight
Brought us good luck and success
If we look forward...we'll eventually find light
We must get out of this cave...
Or we'll be stomped on by distress

You're our journey's end
Where is the escape route?
Beyond the present anguish, our spirits will ascend
With God's help, we'll find a way out...
No doubt

Resulting Experience

As the clouds walk our grounds
Falling rain plays the drummer
Peeking from the horizon
The sun rubs against my skin
Leaving a burn
Cars yell out of sight
Headlights wink in my eyes
I walk with a struggle
Getting by the wind
As it pushes me into a wall
Running through my body
My hair waves as the rain
Touches my face
Leaving fingerprints
My sweater wraps around my neck
The sleeves squeeze my body tightly
Loosing breath
My lungs crawl within me
Grabbing the air
Gripping it in refusal to let loose
My shirt unbuttoning itself
Letting me breathe
Telling me to open my eyes and seek
To peek at what taunts me
My hands throwing themselves in front
My teeth forcing to ask this unknown entity
what is this meant to be?
My toes grip the grass as it pulls me forward
My laces take hold of my ankles pulling me backwards
My eyes scratch open
I see this entity of darkness
I ask the wind to explain this haunting
The wind speaks aloud and says
You have refused your life
I blink three times
Open my eyes
I found myself underwater
Resulting of suicide

THE LIGHT COMING FROM THE DARK HOUSE

The fields of wheat have grown tall,
and the path is almost invisible,
and over there the little girl stares
at the light coming from the dark house.

She wonders who lives in that big, scary house,
which only the owls watch from a roof color maroon;
and while there's no sign of the iridescent moon,
its silver moonbeams startle a scurrying mouse.

" Who lives there? " " Is he the graveyard keeper? "
" Why only one window is lit? " She suspiciously asks herself
by not going forward a foot, thinking of turning back
and be safe at home...dreaming of her adorable heart-breaker.

Imagine if this frightening scenery were real,
she would run like a hunted zebra and scream her lungs out,
discovering that the light coming from the dark house is used for a kill...
and the murderer is none other than the rabbit eater with a voice so tart!

Our Divine Haven

This town was the place we used to call our haven
You don’t remember which road we’ve driven on
The stars were shining against your cherished soul
You’re a part of my belongings
You’re ascending above the ground
The peace is still like hidden treasure – it’s bound to be found

I believe in you…I put my faith in you
After the miracles you’ve performed
You don’t agree with what you truly are
The sky is grieving
You jump from puddle to puddle
You’re struggling to meet your destiny
Even if your body is saturated in sweat
You must keep your head above the sea

Follow me and I’ll lead you to divine haven
Forgive the past that embraces you with remorse and think upon our jubilant future
It’s tempting to just give up and turn around
I could tell you've been stressing out
But rest your head on my shoulders and let loose your strain on me

Each melody is an exquisite sound that bounces into our ears
Commotion and strife will cease and your heart will be free
We’ll flee together…despite the unwholesome weather
The voyage has just begun…hold my hand and we’ll rise like the sun
Trust me…we will be strengthened and well-equipped before we take that road of victory

Follow me and I’ll lead you to divine haven
Forgive the past that embraces you with remorse and think upon our jubilant future
It’s tempting to just give up and turn around
You’d rather be drifting away and never be seen again
I wanna change your mind and erase your frown
Take your mind off of the distressful past
Let loose your strain on me

Hey! I know you’re stronger than you realize
You’re not a failure – don’t be disheartened
Don’t worry…you and I will earn our future prize
This mess will clear up in a moment
Just stay by my side and never depart
From the light… I promise that we’ll endure till the end
Just stay nearby and our hope won’t tear apart
We are willing to do anything to attain our wishes and delight
Let’s take action and snatch our glory before our time is up

Follow me and I’ll lead you to divine haven
Forgive the past that embraces you with remorse and think upon our jubilant future
It’s tempting to just give up and turn around
You've been trying to keep a steady pace
But rest your head on my shoulders and let loose your strain on me

Let loose your stress on me…
Don’t be under pressure
Let me handle your anxiety…
Reach towards our divine haven
Do you need a helping hand?

I wish you a carefree
Future

Evil Enemy Tricks

A dream or vision one hot afternoon one day
A fell then thee evil enemy had came play
Being filled with much fear, so he wanted to steer
I had been driving in a car his house I found at night
Needing to stop for a rest his house be the only in sight
Social able and gracious he had invited me in
This is how the enemy plays his tricks
He was old and grey at least his face did display
“You look like an honest and loving chap stay here for a nap
There is nothing to fear no one can find you here”

No stars were above in the sky but yet I did not wonder why
The enemy had played one of his tricks
“Look at all these possessions that I have”
“They can all be yours if I find that you are worthy”
“Allow me to show you how you can create them”
“Here ye is the secret in how one controls the wheel”
Desires to steal the soul is why the enemy plays his tricks

Then he offered me a token if I promised to show him devotion
“See all this land I have cleared and designed by my hand?”
“It all one day shall be yours if decided to stay here this day”
Another way you see how the enemy plays his tricks
“ I have also ordered another surprise gift for you
“See that car over far yonder bringing it to you?”

The car had been two combination's but red in display
But I did not see this until after it drove away
Moving to far ahead so I have to go back
This is how the enemy plays his tricks
He took me inside his home where we decided to wait
Introduced me to his family who were trying to escape
This is how the enemy plays his tricks at the gate

Then there was a knock at the door and I sent to answer
Believing it was the gift from he that I had longed for
I was happy and thrilled to perform this simple chore
Opening to see a female shadow being in close distance
Three knives had hit the door giving no resistance
Head had moved quickly thought then be Divine assistance
This is how the enemy plays his tricks

Friendly Love

There are a lot of things to say
Why do I feel so alive when you're around?
There’s so much to do today
But how do I get rid of the clouds – shadowy and gray
We're lying on the ground...
Looking at the stars overhead...

You are my beloved friend –
Our love won’t break or bend
I’ll love you until the very end…
I’ll love you endlessly…our happiness blends
Like coffee and cream– yum!
I know…these rhymes are quite dumb…aren’t they?

Our light will shine and burn out the night
Maybe there’s a star in the sky that scorches with love

You are my superb friend –
Our love won’t wear off or wither away
I’ll love you until the day I die
I’ll love you every day…our delight will be
As sweet as pie – how appealing
I know…these words are overused…aren’t they?

Our flight will be as dazzling as the elegant eagle
Trained to ascend for more than half his life – or we’ll be like the seagull!!
We could fly there and catch it someday
Fly…fly..fly…with me! Shoot the bull’s eye!
Our love will never die…so don’t say otherwise
Or I’ll sink in dismay

How I Long For--

My dreams are falling apart
In Your hands, I pray (for joy), "Take heart!"
You are the stars - searing my
Soul is kneeling to the ground
Trace my future and take wing
Towards the pathway...You find peace
You are an angel in my--

Heart is bleeding soundlessly
Above land...I mourn so sweet
I am the clouds - carrying a
Gallon of grief...release me!
Place me in fields of love and
Forgive me and lift me up
You are the heavens to my--

Heart is beating profoundly
Without Your heart's joyous song
You are the sun - nourishing
My lambs are grazing around,
Roving in fields of splendor,
Enlightening the darkness
You are an apple to my--

Eye is grieving...losing sight
Of Your glory...I feel lost
You are the lake - sparkling with
Delight and Luck! Bring us home!
Grow like a morning glory
In the autumn time, You thrive
You are valuable to my--

Eye is twinkling...praying for
Insight...yearning for Your sight
You are the hills - guiding my
Mind is longing for your mirth--
Restoring peace to my verse,
Sprouting forth grace and freedom
You are the train tracks, bearing--

My train of thought...making my
Steel spirit connect with Yours
You are the valley - between
The mountains guarding us all,
Building strength to fragile bones,
Welcoming a stream of hope
You are my map - lending me

YOUR helping hand I would take
Now, I could take Your challenge
You are like a maze filled with
Mysteries conceal the truth;
I fight with all of my might
And I BEG for Your mercy
To mend my once blissful dreams!

How I long for Your mercy...

Creature

Observing.
Frozen in time,
captivated by this enormous being,
the size of a small car.

Pondering,
his every move.
The way he used his hands;
so child-like.
With all the consciousness of the world,
and graceless coordination.

Aware.
of the visitors,
as they briefly called out for his attention.
Only for a moment,
then they were gone.

Untamed,
in an orderly sham.
He sat there,
in his dark cave.
As if he was waiting for the light to find him.

Perched,
on a boulder,
squatting, and primitive.
Drawing in the dirt with one hand.
Swatting a fly with the other.

Surreal,
His nature,
as he rushed to consume his food.
The females hovered behind him,
watching intently,
like me.
His movement mechanic.
His presence powerful.
He was the king of his domain.

Studying,
his magnificence, I watched.
How smart was he?
Could he feel my presence?
Engulfed in the very essence of all that was him,
I watched.

Wondering,
how he felt, I watched.
Did he think he was still in the womb of Mother Nature?
Or, did he know the iron bars which embrace him now?

Then
it happened;
our eyes met.
He noticed my presence.
His gaze intimidated me,
But I did not look away.
He approached me.
I felt his eyes inspecting my soul.
A chill ran down my back,
I turned behind me,
only to find no other presence there.
When I turned back,
we were face to face.
Separated by the sham,
And a two inch piece of glass.
Just me and him,
the two of us,
and the females hovering behind him.

Wise,
His old eyes spoke to me,
They said
“I am like you.
I love, I feel, I hurt.
I am, like you.”

Sympathetic,
I put my hand on the glass
and with all the
consciousness of the world,
he did the same.
With tears in my eyes,
I smiled.

Then, he pooped in his other hand
and wiped it on the glass.
This was a sign of endearment.
I laughed out loud.
And I swear,
He smiled back.

Congruity

The forces of nature are being perverted, turning good into bad, and the bottom line,
the key to it all is profit.
Primates choose co-existence within a group driven by forces of the first law of nature.
When we engage in a symbiotic relationship, this law of nature is less burden sum on the
individual.
Humans chiefly rely on our sense of sight; we take up with others who appear to be
most like us, and lend ourselves to the saying that seeing is believing.
Fear is our prime motivating factor, and advertising executives will tell you that fear
sells.

What we are witnessing is the perversion of our survival engine, making the money
wheel go round. We are made to fear everything by key design, and our survival instinct
is telling us there is safety in numbers. So we identify ourselves with a group, and
instinctively try to fit in, by purchasing our reality of acceptance.

                     Monkey see monkey do!
 She’s a nerd, He’s a skater, They’re preps, I’m a goth.
How can you tell them apart? By the things they purchase.
The purchasing of acceptance is also found in the sub culture as well.
People who want to break away from being normal are victims of fear.
The fear of being sell outs, like the Brady bunch family types who are part of a
system that they despise. How can you tell them apart? By the things they purchase.
What you see is what you get, and what we are getting is what we see.
The purple hair, body piercing, and tattoos; are the same as, the Coach hand bags, spray tans, and botox injections. One monkey’s Marilyn Manson to another monkey’s Bach.

                      Form follows thought.
Our survival engine is a universal constant force, and fear is the constant variable that shifts our transmission into drive. No one wants to grow old, living alone dressed in rags and eating cat food.
Even the separatists who choose to be an island in this Sea of crap are fearful. So
there’s an on line computer game for that, or a chat room for that, or a hobby for that,
or pets for that, or a pill for that, and of coarse there’s media entertainment for that.
No matter this or that the key turns our survival engine on and fear shifts the
transmission into drive, and together they keep the money wheels turning…and that's the bottom line.

I once heard someone say “thank god for Hardly Davidson cause it gives fat hairy
beer belly slobs something to be a part of.” She was holding an imitation Louis
Vuitton hand bag and on her way to the tanning salon when she said that

HEAVEN IS MY GAIN

Mary fought until her last day
gazing at the stars of the bay,
" I will soon die, but deep pain
I won't feel...Heaven is my gain! "

And muttering those courageous words,
her pale face pierced by hazel eyes held off
her tears not to make me profoundly sad,
but my caresses warmer than sunshine
consoled her by not making her afraid...
all she saw was a brother praying by her side!

Mary sang many songs and smiled feeling only joy,
not seeing her bold head and missing breast
and despite her suffering, she kept abreast...
wanting to be another survivor and tell her story.

That October evening Mary died without a breath of air,
and with semi open eyes turned to a pink sky...
seeing a sun redder than scarlet;
she stepped into the realm of death
to join mother and sister already there...
why wasn't a cure found? She didn't have to die!

Written by Andrew Crisci
The most powerful note:
" Wanting to be another survivor and tell her story. "

Fatal Attraction

Those shining moonlit eyes
Stare boldly from behind the tree
I hear his breaths like sighs
Or rolling waves from the far sea
The striped face stares at me.

The native hunters, those who dance
Paint their skin black and green
The one who holds me in this trance
His stripes have been called those of fiends
By no human could I be seen

The villagers said to my face
To stay away from there
“The den, the lair, it is no place
For you: MEN who return are rare”
They don’t know the lure of night air

And now I stand here with my poem
In the silence I’m tighter wound
Than when the bugs rustle in loam
For I know he’d never make a sound
By the tiger I’ve been found.

**Alas! I wrote this for the quintain contest but I am too late!**

AN EXCITING ADVENTURE

Hiking was an exciting adventure,
climbing mountains piercing a summer's sky,
not looking back for the fear of falling, or think, " I'll die. "
but my grip had a formidable strength to entice texture.

I advanced as an army in a clashing battle field without a cloud,
stepping on sweet Williams hosting butterflies without thinking of their agony;
and hearing an eagle swoop, I ducked as the rope around
my wrist tightened, stopping my blood's flow...I felt that sense of vulnerability.

Hands Awake

Hands awaken! Speak out! Answer to sacred shouts,
subterranean whispering, to stars above rooftops—
thread sunlit branches with the chattering of a thousand leaves.

If fluxes and urgencies of confusion or death
should drawn you into your self-box, I say,
remember when one constructed self-prison fell away.
However you helped this forward,
do more of the same.

Be rain-hands, weeping, steeped in earth fragrance.
Be fingers in blossom, faces turning upward,
loves innumerable, rough-cut bedazzled—
unafraid to be splayed open.

Be pocketed hands, released to the welcoming wind—
multiplying there in mid-air,
riding the four directions.

Be hands of smoke and fire, descending and ascending like ragged bird-song—
effulgent, double-charged with surprise
and now even with mock surprises.

Start at the beginning, where you are.
Don’t be satiate with loll-lolling
recede wave’s tide, retreat back and back
into yourselves, until grown utterly intellectual and lumpish!

Now, you Human Being—you come awake also!
Sweep the furnishings from table. Upend the table lawlessly.
Bring the muscular, fleshy, feminine against the masculine and muscular.
Bring the masculine to the feminine. Bring friend to enemy,
estranged neighbor to the confidant. In a dance of pressing hands,
let subtle conversation play.

Ring all the tiny bells.
Stir the King and Queen of Remembrance.

In over-arching restraint, holding back one iota, so pure notes sound—
bring sunburst, sphere and harmony.
Make your entire body a listening board
forming therein—tender shape around which love
seed unfolds infinite spaces and then…

Spring awake! All to better dreaming
where hope and faith are undashed, not this dying.

O, hear me now! Hands, every which one of you,
with every human—never again sleep,
never abandon!

Lost and Found -unedited version-

Writing a masterpiece
Takes so much effort and thought
My mind’s settling in my comfort zone – feed me with flawless peace
Words seem to escape me…my feelings mean naught

Anger molds me in inside and out…I feel insecure again
Peace barely meets my body
Joy seems to abandon me like an orphan
Faith passed away – it’s buried too far below the debris

Have I lost the race?

Writing a successful book…writing in general
Takes so much confidence and self-control
My mind is stacked up with debt…
Words splinter my tongue – I can’t repair my tarnished soul

Danger is placed in many corners
Happiness is a few blocks away from me
Fearlessness dives into me
Acceptance of who I am – God’s chosen one

Have I won the race?
Have I found His grace?

Awareness of cold and biting pain
Ruthless purpose of wind and pouring rain
A wolf cries out to his moon again
I am outside, alone and vaguely afraid.

When thunder strikes and hael hits earth
Flashes of light do fear and moaning birth
Waters angrily crashing through hostile firth
I am outside, alone and vaguely afraid.

Pupils dilated for the dark and danger
Peace and light – which is stranger?
I am this wild place’s only ranger
I am outside, alone and vaguely afraid.

My frame I glimpse in a window’s reflection
Not feral, not savage but far from perfection
At once I observe a mental correction:
I am outside, alone and very afraid.

Hell Awaits

Slate gray
hangs over hell.
Glowing softly,
hotter than mortal souls,
the Inferno’s harsh landscape
beckons all.

Beware
jagged landscapes
barren of life,
there lies the maw of hell
its breath poisoning the world
as it waits.

Treasures of the Spider

Spider!
Beware of
the night feeder.
Tiny bat wings, swifter,
than the absence
of light, silent, merciless
terror.

By morning,
I survey the remnants
of your web, rent and empty
 of you, just tiny whispers
of your once, existence.

Your uneaten prey,
all neatly wrapped
and dangling-
as a reminder
of all
that we
can't take to heaven

THE GRIZZLY ATTACK

                                              THE GRIZZLY ATTACK

                                         Relentlessly grizzlies search

                                         Bloody skin

                                         Ferret out each secret fear

Barnacles on Bones

  Sirens call
       And tempests toss

        The Dutchman asks his due.

 Scythed by moonlight
        the dark crystal sea beckons
 To the romantic, the foolhardy
          The adventurous and unwise.

The sea is a wicked lover
 Every seven years
           You’ll threaten her yoke
                   Tempted by the land

But Lorelei will not be idle.
Your song she will yet sing

sinewy seaweed snakes
round your limbs
pulling you

Under
Under
Under

As bubbles like drowned pearls
Leave your lips like a kiss

Abide in the Light

You abide in the light
I’ll miss you…when you venture off at night
Don’t forget me…
Don’t discard me…
Don’t leave me…

Forgive me for drifting away from you…

Please forgive me…
Please don’t ignore me…
Hear my pleas…don’t turn the other direction…
Run with me…into heaven’s light

I’ve given you my soul…
I’ve shared with you my melody
I’ve fed you until you were full…
I’ve healed you when you were under the weather…
I’ve tried to bring us back together

You hang on the rope of hope
I’ll rely on you…I’ll cling to you…
You saved me from subsiding into the obscure abyss

Don’t reject me…
Don’t depart from me…
Don’t release me…

Respect me for who I’ve become
Please respect me…
Honor my presence
Protect me from any sort of harm
Is it in your nature to relieve my anguish?

I’ve been driven away by my affliction
I’ve set you free from Egypt…and lead you to the Promise Land
Have you forgotten my affection?
I’ve tried to empathize what you’re going through – I’ve gave you a helping hand
Don’t you understand? Will you ever understand?

You abide in the light
I’ll miss you…when you depart from my heart
Don’t forget me…
Don’t discard me…
Don’t mourn for me…

Forgive me for wishing for your absence…
Please forgive me…
Please don’t give up on me…
Hear my side of the story… don’t turn the other direction…

I’m still training for perfection

Run with me…until we arrive at home
Hold my hand and we’ll take divine flight
I’ve cherished you for so long
I’ve lead you to my home town –
Do you remember where you and I belong?

I’ve given you my trust…
I’ve shared with you my dreams
You’re an apple to my eye

You were my angel of grace, promising concord –
Bestowing blessings upon me
Your vitality never wears off…

You were my lamp –
Glowing with serenity and elation
Tranquilizing my mind from despair and unease

I’ll never regret…meeting you that magnificent night
I knew that that was love at first sight
The moment you stepped foot into the light

Dried and Browned

Together they fall and plunder,
Piling on in weightless wonder.
The leaves and trees are far from what I fathomed--
Dried and browned in mortal sarcasm.

Cold in warmth and warmth in rain;
Washing away the frozen stains.
Barren soil bears a fruitless yield
Dried and browned in the snowy fields.

Glory

This is the story of a beautiful horse named Glory Freckled and spotted She stood but a twig Lost in a forest Of abandonment Tires and barbwire Surround her by day And at night she suffers The coyotes cries, not far away Left with no food Or water to drink She stands by a tree And hopes for relief Halter grown in And hooves overgrown Not a grain in that belly And left all alone Withering quick She stands by her tree And hopes a kind soul Will help her to see There is life still No matter how grim Things seem from beneath This horrid, old tree This halfhearted twig Awaits her relief As the days pass her by And she writhes with grief Her name is Glory All freckled with spots Like a giant Dalmatian Trapped in this spot At the end of her lead She was finally freed Not a day too soon She'll now find relief Halfhearted no longer And happy at last Whom once was a twig Knows Glory at last Halfhearted no longer And free from that mess Glory has found relief At Horse Creek Ranch* *Horse Creek Ranch is, to the best of my knowledge, a fictional name.

For the Sake of Birds

Why are only birds blessed with wings,
Those itchy, twitchy, mindless things,
While humans are stuck on the ground
And in machines to fly around?

Perhaps there is a reason for
Our legs (NOT wings) being so sore...
Perhaps there is a reason why
We can not freely roam the sky...

Maybe it's 'cause we drink so much!
Drunken drivers are bad enough.
We'd fly in constant fear and fright
Of drunkards hitting us mid-flight!

With this, I worry of the most
An inconvenience vile and gross.
Imagine if we lived if fright
Of vomit rain on weekend nights!

Maybe it is our flatulence.
So near the ozone, there's a chance
The fast food gases we secrete
Cause global warming to increase!

Maybe it's 'cause we fear great heights,
Or 'cause we'd tangle strings of kites!
Maybe wings would be cumbersome
And block the usage of our arms!

Or...

Maybe it's for the sake of birds...
Mankind with wings does seem absurd.
For even birds need their own space,
And everything must have its place.

Circumventing the Silence

a triquint

The night so long with dreaded suspense
and pain the darkness augments.
Morning circumvents
the silence.
Grope!

A mist of dew inspires common sense
dread retreats in self-defense.
Morning circumvents
the silence.
Cope!

As birds break forth with triumph intense,
stirring light and breeze commence.
Morning circumvents
the silence.
Hope!

"courage to change the things I can"

Hurt and You Could Have it All

upstairs in my room
i put my ear to the floor
only to hear my parents screaming
the argument is about me
my mom yells "look at what your son has become!"
Heartless, unintelligent, fake...
my father replies back
"hes your son, hes your own pile of dirt!"
whenever my family is out together
we act happy like these fights never happen
but every night they do and i cant tell anyone
i have to act like someone else in order not to get introuble
What have i become?...hurt..dishonest..will this feeling dissapear?
I will drag you down and i will make you hurt..
I lift my head from the floor
still hearing the angry voices of my parents
i found an old needle, and i dug it into my skin
the next morning i go downstairs
with a cut off shirt on, and baseball shorts
My father grabs my arm
"what is this boy?"
i yank my hand away from him and i sit down on a chair
"its nothing sir"
my father repeats "are you cutting yourself?, why?"
i grab my bookbag and i disapear out the door
My father runs outside pulling me to the ground
"are you cutting yourself boy?!" he screams
i say "no sir i just scrapped my arm on my dresser"
My father grabs my face
"you better not cut yourself again" he replies
He hits my face, as i lay on the ground.
I didnt wake up until i felt something wet drip on my face
it was raining and dark outside
i run into the house and into the bathroom
looking into the mirror i see the bruise that was left on my face
My father wasnt home and my mother went to bed
"everything goes away in the end right, if i let him have it all, my moms pile of dirt?"
I sit upon my liars chair full of broken memories i cannot repair
I become someone else, but the old me is still right there
if i could start again a million miles away i would keep myself
i will find my way

End of dreams

The End of Dreams.

It was going to be so good for you and me,
the future, less work, more leisure, more
equality and end of wars.

Now we have ended up vilifying the poor
bombing children in Afghanistan, and we
blame it on the pesky Taliban.

The poor kill their children because they
have too much time on their lazy hands
according to the politicians.

Hard working families is the new mantra
and if you haven´t got a job it is your fault
for not trying hard enough.

The future didn´t turn out the way we had
foreseen , war is all around us needs too,
we are back in the past´s despair.

THE POLAR BEAR

THE POLAR BEAR

In the polarized northern badlands of the extreme, admits the forbidden
Blizzard white out, emerges evolution's dominate creation, to the
Harshest of freezing environments, the mighty polar bear.
The phantom ghost of this wild baron lunar landscape,
Striking without mercy’s redemption, the devil claws sink deeply
Into the ice and snow leaving crimson paw prints behind, as trace
Evidence that the majestic king has feasted within his chilling halls,
At the Arctic Circle table of frozen death.
Basic instincts empty eyes of blackened stone are set within
This living killing machine, a predatory beast of instinctual survival,
The icy lordship at the very top of this fringed food chain.
A colliding ice burg giant, descending, submersing into the bitter
Temperatures of the ice flow, yielding not to the waters deadly wake,
Or waves that clash against this mighty brutish raw force of nature.
Born to be free, he is the king set at a throne of beasts, alone monarch
Thriving in his harsh kingdom of ice and snow.
Sheared thin is the polar ice blade of extinction,
Slivered and hewed to a fine point roughed edge,
A daggers instrument of destruction, created by
Mankind and slicing at neck of such magnificence
Creature, that should be honored not severed
From this planetary world known as earth,
His future is left up to us?

Mercy Killing

What happened last night brother,
Please tell me it's not true,
Was i a bother,
Don't tell me you have no clue,

Why am i locked up in an asylum,
Don't you trust me,
Am i getting my mammogram,
it's my right to know please tell me,

Don't isolate me please,
I beg you, am only human,
Tell them to handle me with ease,
Am almost a young woman,

Don't turn away when i speak,
I need some answers,
These injections are making me weak,
Not forgetting my ulcers,

Is this about the mercy killing,
Please brother, don't cry,
You tried your best but am not healing,
Please let me die,

I can's feel my limbs,
The medicine is getting stronger,
Please take care of the other siblings,
Am growing weaker,

Am done leaving on life support machine,
Just let me go,
You tried but am a broken engine,
lease let my spirit go,

This are my last words brother,
Please don't try and save me,
Last night when i had a seizure,
The doctor defiled me...,

The Sea Blue Eyes I

Once in a while I meet a person whose eyes tell their story
The story is like the sky reflection on the seas of glory
The eyes are all the wonder of the world
It sees the future, past, and present
The eyes give us knowledge of the world and reflection
The reflection of sadness and weakness of each creature
The wonder of each individual being has a present
To the world who has lots of false images
To arise the moment of that one glance
To follow the heart in romance
Just the reflection that gather in your eyes of blue
What a man and a woman should view
Life is such a pain without stopping to see each eyes
Its like roses you have to enjoy each passion in side
When that moment collides with mind and heart
Nothing in your soul can keep your love apart
Join in the fun look in every eyes of a person beside
With passion and romance I bet you, you would cry
The luster of all the things to come
A bounty of life long needs to be given by just the wonders of the eyes
The blue seas reflects the different depths of our feelings
And it should become revealing
Come to your senses with ravaging hormones of lust
The sea can take you and even the reflection in the eyes of the person
The beauty is not held by one it is held by everyone
Such looks with fear for no relief
Is almost a dreadful part in our human nature
Beware of what can happen when emotions are held
Held to the core of an individual
No such thing is kindness when you find yourself in the Sea Blue Eyes
Calling in your soul by just looking
With ignorance you play around with such futile emotion
Gush away the fear and do not go insane with life so dear
The grasp of the titans comes to reveal
The evil within your heart is so obscenely noticed
You want the sea and you want those eyes to look at you with wishes
The rage in the heart are waves that cannot stop
It pushes and pushes with no regret
The heart falters and there is only one thing in your mind
The idea of one soul to be with is the ocean
The rifts that is trying to break to end the wants of desire
Cannot be trusted in a human lier
The beauty of man is destruction
The beauty of women are commands
The eyes of each does not matter in the sea
Because all emotion and desire is given to those who are true
Command of a person is just one thing
The desire to destroy is another
The Sea Blue Eyes will see no bother cause it bares it all
Even the utmost desire
To be continue.

The Wandering Soul

Over hills I walk,
All tongues I talk.
Rivers I crossed,
Pennies I tossed.
and Life goes on.

With women I slept,
Streams of tears I wept.
Silken robes I wore,
Innocent hearts I tore.
and Life goes on.

Every corner I went,
Till my back was bent.
With every sun I watched,
A stick my hand clutched.
and Life goes on

My Countless Wishes -Part 2-

I wish
To demolish my sorrow…
I wish
To forget the despair and gleefully grow…
To forgive and seek the challenges of tomorrow…
My downfalls and my failures…
I wish
To disappear
I wish
I had no fear…
For God’s near…
I wish
I could be a cheetah in the grassland
I wish
To store all of my energy for an evening run…I’d never give up in the process
I wish
My whole spirit could simply sponge in God’s nature and make great progress
And I truly wish
I could stick to my daily plans of building a sturdier relationship with God
I wish
I had the merriness in my life especially during hardships…

My countless wishes
Brings me down to my weakest point…
My countless wishes
Overthrows me…but it helps me in the long run…

I wish I could forgive
My daily regrets and breakdowns
I wish I could forget
My despondency – embracing my frowns

I wish
To live a life without error
Without a care
I wish
To be flawless when I make my everyday decisions
And scare away
The darkness that tries to make me give up
I wish
I had more time to overcome…
These waves of emotions

My countless wishes
Brings me down to my disheartened state…
My countless wishes
Are like walls from every direction closing in on me…
But it’s a convenient tool in the future…

I wish
I could be live in someone else’s shoes…
But what good would it do?
Would it lead me to the narrow pathway?
Would it inspire me to push all of my doubts away?
Would it push away the blues?
Could He give me any clues?

Warning Sign

Surly you have put
                your word to pen
the winds have carried them
have dispersed them upon the globe
the game pieces are in place
and the populace lives under
               dense clouds of darkness
though not awake aware of determinations
                        a war machine
funded with flesh and gold
                        as oxen under yoke
who have no say in what their masters plow

They HAVE been forewarned
surly your WORD has come full circle
you have called out the future
and given knowledge of fortresses
                        battlements and shields

The 1st WAR your minds
The 2nd WAR your hearts
The 3rd WAR your flesh

             the full destruction of corruptions

Surly your intentions have
been fully shown for any knowing
the instructions of the King
but they have been led astray
and loved to have it that way

You keep sending your servants
the watchmen who view into distances
to tell what was far off has come close

The Temple and the Bride
               are nearly completed
the invitations to all the guests
not one single soul is exempt
                of participation
freewill will have a whole new meaning
you can choose the royal law of Life

or be driven off the cliffs
by unruly angels
because the ideology of WAR
            and fear driven by rulers
whose behavior is so corrupt
that we liken them to being demonic

Come now where is your reason
that you should choose WAR
             over the avenues of peace
everywhere you turn is a sign
            and it says beware
wake up wake up wake up
                before you sleepwalk
                    into death

A storm is coming

A storm is coming
near
On our faces,
nothing but fear
Ignorance protects
the heart of the
young
Never knowing what
they're among

Some shake their
heads in disbelief
Some take cover in
the earth beneath
Man protect woman,
woman protect child
Objects tossed, this
wind is wild

A cry for help is
never heard
Every man for
himself, it's quite
absurd
You know the saying
"joy comes in the
morning"
But in their hearts
it's still a bit stormy

They remember the
ones they loss even
though they are now
apart, may they
know they remain in
our hearts, as life
goes on to a new
start

A storm is coming, a
storm has came
The storm is over,
lives were claimed
And the ones that
are left will never be
the same...
A storm is coming
so is the pain

                                                                                     -

Water

Water all around us
Day and night
Night and Day

Always changing
Always flowing
Never standing still

We live in this ever-changing substance
As though through the water
We ourselves are changing

Adapting to different circumstances
Letting our hopes wash through us
And our fears wash away

A Road to Nowhere

A road to nowhere A picturesque scene of trees turning bare Fresh autumn scents filling the air And a young woman on a journey traveling from here to there With a slow, steady pace and tapping shoes She creates an east rhythm to hum along to Walking along, not a care in the world Living her life, and living it well The cool crisp air softly blowing at her knees Coming throughout the autumn trees For a moment it almost seems Things aren't really ever as bad as they tend to seem Soaking in the last bit of light with a peaceful flow She passes along the last few trees with golden leaves shinning abode The now setting sun begins to give off a warm orangey red glow Setting off her long blonde hair as it moves to and fro Then out of the gleaming sky Fighting her rising fear from deep with inside Her heartbeat quickens, as she tries keeping a steady stride Hairs prickling up upon her neck, a raven screeches as it swoops by The absence oh heat, so abrupt Leaves her with chills, so corrupt Touching her soul as if almost freezing up Upon her face lay a perfect cut A gush of wind cuts across her chest And her forehead quickly covers with little beads of sweat Just as she's starting to fear she can't go on She twirls and turns then starts to run She whirls around but falls to her knees Blood slowly dripping down from her cheek The raven appears with an open beak Ans lets out a bloodcurdling screech "Raven, Raven, oh please don't die!" She laughs And looks upon the bird with a menacing smile Then lets out a satisfying sigh "Just please don't die" She gracefully stands with blood-lust filled eyes Her tapping shoes carrying her off into the night Her Raven black hair rocking to and fro And off down the road to nowhere she goes

Stage Fright

Silence...

...Just wait...

Wait a couple seconds...no, really.

Just WAIT...

In the distance,
a tremble of the air itself.
A subtle quiver of it's molecular structure.
A charge, causing your hair to come alive.

*CRACK* A singularity so vivid, so dazzling,
it blinds you,
forming indistinct bubbles in your vision.

Then another, farther away, not as luminous.
Another, and another. Dozens of fractures in the sky,
shining with voltages so high, so powerful;
temperatures blistering hot,
Searing and broiling anything they touch.
Fiercier than the sun's corona.
Vapourisation.

Retorts of thunderous applause,
following seconds behind, build up.
Unsure at first, escalating. Deafening.
Frightening all into submission.
Applause for such grandeur.

Overlooking the dark and forested valley,
we observe nature's perfect opera.
Above us,
angry violet mamma roil,
bubbling over the base of the storm.
Faded flashes,
illuminating the clouds,
casting mauve highlights and indigo shadows.
Far off applause,
the audience of another, higher up show.

The tempest isn't quite done yet,
the show must go on.
Not 10 metres behind us,
a tree explodes, its trunk boiled and charred.
Simultaneously, a roaring, reverberating crackle-snap ignites the air,
blasting our eardrums past their record limits.
A roasting heat wave blows over our heads,
shoving us forward, searing the tips of our hair.

Screaming and shouting, we stumble away,
no longer amazed at this horrifying opera.
Tripping down the slope,
we roll into the thick forest below us,
colliding with trees and shrubbery.

More flashes, tailed by the sky guffawing at us,
as we've become the joke of the show.
Horror surfacing on our faces,
we blunder towards the jeep.

Only thing is...
all that's left of the jeep is a smoldering carcass...

Real fear sets in,
as we discover ourselves
Trapped.
Isolated.
Entirely alone.
And up on the stage of nature's prime opera.

And we're the laughing stock.
The dispensibles.

No way out.

The Sacrifice

(a place no one has ever been)

We live out in da country
Miles away from anyone else
Papa and six boys, well, we're young men now....just sayin
Momma died at childbirth when baby brother was born
Love it here, cept at night, sleepin through “the howlin”

Big old wood frame house, island by grassland; den da forest
We keep a farm of pigs, goats, even cows; what da heck for ?
Every night Papa slayed an animal; laid it at da edge of da woods
Never new why until he called us six boys together one creepy night:

“Boy’s, listen to me, listen good….your Papa’s dying,
It won’t be long
The last 20 years, your Momma and I set out here a sacrifice
I don’t know what in God’s name is out there
This thing ain't human
Notice how it’s quiet for a while so you can get to sleep
It’s feeding time
Damn right, it’s eating the sacrifice
Long as we put them dead animals out
We live
When I’m gone, it’s up to you six
Be my Nightwatch, ya hear me boys !
You all are men now
I love each one of you very much”

Father finished da story, den...
Said no one ever been in dem neck of doze woods
He bought property twenty (20) some years ago;
Prior owner told him da whole story

In a way I look at dis big monster as our protector
I've heard screamin at night, den da 'howlin'
O man, den dis loud munchin, chompin, chewin masdacated cry
Den more 'howlin'
Call da police ya say? No way. We safe...
So long we feed him, or it
At night: WHOAAA am scared to death

Papa's been gone a few years now
It’s up to us six to offer up da sacrifice
Every night

We older now and don’t all nestle up in one bed
Howlins still be, but we sleep at night best we can
Hated killin doze animals, deys didn’t do nuttin wrong
Dares no other way; we twied once and almost got ourselves scavaged alive

Am not goin out dare, never, not to
A place where no one has ever been

The Sun's Rays

The sun’s devouring rays
Reveals an astounding sensation against the marvelous universe
It caresses the earth with warm hugs and gives life to the motionless gaze
Its auras are above nature’s designating exteriors
Its swaying beauty is beyond Earth’s inhabitants, deserving my praise

It treasures the sky with joyousness and forms swarms of jeering birds
The sighs of the wind attracts clamoring herds

The sun’s appalling flames
Unshackles a zealous tune that reveals the Earth’s accord
It embraces the atmosphere with remarkable claims
Unraveling my curiosity; my ears are pleading to hear more, so I go forward!

It prizes the ocean with eagerness and forms swarms of screeching seagulls
The strength of the waves draws in scorching souls

The sun's unattainable rays
Motivate life to trail on till its duty is done
Its auras seep through the whirling sky and strays
Embracing ambitious love like a father and son

Sponge

Its effects run in you
Always through you
And when you’re not careful,
It can go all the way down
If you clench it hard enough
It almost squeezes back
Ripping at your everything.

In the moment it wrenches you
And you play dead for a while
Until you’re back to reality
And it releases your smile.
It’s not as bad as you thought
You’re not as bad as you thought.
Squeeze yourself,
Releasing all that needs to be said and done
Tempt yourself
For you’re not the only one.

Inside it feels like heaven
And you’re tempted to look inside
If you do, you’ll have to rip at it
Is the cost worth the price for knowledge?
It’s opened…
You see everything
But like a child, the gift of sight is blinding
You’re scared of this new beauty
You can’t understand
There’s an adjustment with time
And you feel alive.
If you accept it’s will
The rest will come full circle,
Don’t lose your battle
For the worst thing that comes
Is happiness, beyond good judgment…

Thunder

Can you hear the thunder?
It pounds into my ears
It always makes me wonder
if I control my fears

It's hard to say I'm brave
as I see that flash of light
it's the terror I crave
the lightning is my fright

The rain pitters and patters
sounding a prelude to the flood
my heart beat it flatters
as it boils in my blood

Can you hear the thunder?
it pounds into my ears
I no longer have to wonder
I cannot control my fears.

Deadly Seduction

I glide carelessly, smoothly, and contently through the deep, dark, murky lake water,
Not knowing that the devious, mysterious, and ruthless hunter is quickly approaching
With the sole intent to plot against his prey then mercilessly yet blissfully slaughter and
Not knowing that today I will meet my maker; I will be the victim he is poaching.

Down my undetermined, winding path through the weeds and small schools I saunter,
Gleefully blowing my bubbles and creating my carefree traveler’s tune, but
I halt in my water trail at the first hint of the presence of the fearfully dreaded haunter.
The hunted cannot evade the condemning temptations of the beast treading the lagoon.

The renowned blue attraction is easily distinguished and catches my attention at once.
I repetitiously bark commandments at myself to move on and ignore the dazing bait but
It entices me, causing a controversial, internal, real battle where there are no fronts.
Back and forth I sway, losing grip on my sanity; I feel suppressed by a heavy weight.

It is simply a mind game that none have overcome and I foresee my despairing fate.
I lose control and dart after the blue wonder out of desperation just to reach it and
To be able to experience adventure derived from curiosity and a purely rebellious state.
The frightful chase begins, puzzling me as the tricky figure eases up yet refuses to quit.

Though I am apprehensive of moving forward I decide to pursue the shadowy feature.
It is like I am racing from the law toward my drug and I know I am about to be booked.
I am gaining on the insistent critter when I glance at the bank to see a giant creature.
Ignoring it, I catch the blue bit, chomp down, and immediately realize: I am hooked.

SO PEACEFUL, SO COLD IS THIS WINTER AFTERNOON

The American eagles left their warm nests
before snow fell on the evergreen pines and spruces,
so did the ravens, grackles and petrels...
hidden among the white mountains, the river still flows.

So peaceful, so cold is this winter afternoon,
no other sound but the waters babbling on rocks,
flowing into the wide valley below without a tune...
two months ago, the placid lake swarmed with ducks.

Footprints are visible into the frozen snow that no one loves...
who would venture in this life-threatening wilderness?
Could it be a grizzling gone astray, or searching for his cubs?
Leave it to the imagination, or simply take a guess!

So peaceful, so cold is this winter afternoon,
and the more I look, the less I think of danger...
I would love to get out and discover it like the slow-moving raccoon
seeking food until he shivers and decides to turn back with anger.

PREVENTING THE EXTINCTION OF THE BEAUTIFUL TIGERS

They still wander with caution and fear in the remote swamps and grasslands
of India and Siberia, and these carnivorous animals are the beautiful tigers.

They are trapped, poched, killed and their soft furs are shipped overseas for huge profits,
but their sad end is drawing near, unless some caring human really gets involved and acts.

Their life span is shorter in their natural habitat, struggling for food and those caged in zoos
have a longer life expectancy...they never experience those hunger pangs in early noons.

They are an extremely hostile species, ready to devour anything that has flesh and blood.
Does anyone wonder why they react so indignantly, don't they fear of being taken and sold?

When tigers are attacked, they fight back and killing they prevent their threat of extinction.
Do we all realize their animosity for the huntsmen, who chase them and shoot them down?

Let's all feel some compassion for them...let's save them and give them freedom and dignity.
Let them roam freely as they did once in South Asia, living in full accord with humanity.

Let It Go

How do you sit amongst nature
and call yourself beautiful?
How can you be around
conversations and call yourself
sociable?
How is it possible to see hands
interlocked, eyes deep in lust,
wonder, and excitement and
not believe in love?
No not love, a chance at love.
Not even love, happiness or
hope even for a little bit.
Why can’t you give yourself a
chance?
Why can’t you consider allowing
yourself to partake in uplifting
opportunity?
Let’s think.
Men climb the tallest mountain
in the world,
Women, whom doctors profess
unable, give birth.
Not only can blacks vote, we
can vote for one.
There’s a child struggling for
hope, happiness, and a home,
But you can’t give me your
hand.
It’s all matters of the mind, you
see.
Pay attention to your heart.
Where have you been?
Why did you leave?
And why go back,
You've become anew.
Why hold your fears as a
priority?
Fear does nothing but limit,
Fear teaches nothing but
excuses.
Is it really fear or letting your
mind stay suspended?
Your trunk of an imagination
claims these dreams lacking
leaves.
Stare at the naked branches all
you please but they won’t
appear with the breeze.
Wait, there’s a leaf, it’s
different from your previous.
Its bright green, but a little
worn.
It’s a start.
A start to rebuilding and
remembering.
There’s another only two steps
away, why not take it?
It’s a little out of reach, two
steps and you’re there.
You’re not leaving your tree,
you’re bettering it.
Clothe your mind and soul with
what the wind blows in.
It’s definitely different, but who
says it’s not time for a change?
They say- If you want
something you’ve never had,
you must do something you’ve
never done.
But you can hold the same
aspirations just make a few
adjustments.
You could find someone to
genuinely support those
There’s a whole world you’ve
yet to see,
Step outside your backyard.
Step into the unknown to
eliminate the unknown within
yourself.
How do you sit amongst nature
and call yourself ugly?
How can you be around
conversations and call yourself
a loner?
Explore happiness.
Engage yourself, no.
Submerge.
You’re trying to stay afloat,
But is it really worth the wasted
strength?

Winter loose

I shiver
as I look back over the months.
I balk at the thoughts
that run through my mind.
It is not cold outside
but an icy wall built within.
The music from the speakers ache with my melody.
The old questions again:
how do I measure and see?
It is not fresh in my home
but a chill wind crept in.
A cloud of living creatures darkens the eve.
A doubt rises from the hidden fertile depths.
It is not bracing on the street,
I walk swiftly by.
Your breath the wind of the south.
Your words warm but from the desert.
It is not arctic in thy heart
but I dare not go in.

Remebering

There goes that smile again,
loose
like a stray hair,
greying;
caught upon the breeze.
You wheeze out a last laugh remembering times gone,
Back when you shone.
Now only with mind's eye,
rose-tinted,
is it hinted that you knew of the summer and spring.

Smile-wrinkles and worry lines still enchant,
Even as they plant:
bitter-sweet feelings deep in my soul.
Crow's-feet
clutch
as memories call out their last sweet siren song.

Past these old lips a complaint spills:
discomfort and distance.
Far from me,
lost.
As the frost covers your world,
those first flakes stick.
You again thick in fog
moan about those kids and how they sing.

Holding your hand I take night watch,
weep silently at endless loss.
Later as I toss and turn I imagine that your mind
remains intwined with mine.
That all, for now,
is fine with you,
I forget all life now is tinged with the bitterest sting...
But then I remember...

We are silent, we are still

Tak, tak, tak, tak
goes the gun;
in a raid of the dawn.
Ahh, Ahh
screams the child,
into fractured world born.
Shredded:
a body, another life torn.

Rhyming' old news.
So what's so good about today's?
Running from the real blues?
A recession of compassion;
inaction for gold:
a silencing transaction.
Silence falls on fields of killing.
We lie in our pity:
sticky and shitty the despair.
The answers we are taught;
range from don't know-
to don't care.
I know I would play my part
if I knew where to start
...would I?
I know something of the pain around
but how to give in?
How to die?

So many
beyond the overflow line,
sickened;
dining on these old platitudes.
We've needed something wider,
deeper.
His unattainable beatitudes
Demanding another
to play the game;
the same death creeps in.
Allowing His goodness
to bring only shame.
The blame we spin.
When we are uncomfortable,
our culture threatened.
We are loud and hate-filled,
love easily abandoned.
But when the straight evil
of theft, rape and murder
elsewhere comes to kill.
When hunger steals another
and war a thousand more.

Then we are silent then we are still.

"If you want to serve the age, betray it."

HOURGLASS

.......HOURGLASS
When all the sand's run out for yesterday
and here you stand reflecting on it all,
no matter what you do, or what you say
you'll never change the way time has to fall;

the sand's been piled onto the waiting floor,
announcing time's run out, as you can see,
all hopes and dreams now fade, to be no more,
as if the way it's piled is meant to be;

all Heaven knows you've done the best you could
to shape tomorrow as you'd want today,
but somehow things don't go just as they should
and sands of time don't always fall your way.

The best we'll ever do is turn the stand
and hope again our time goes as we've planned.

Everyone's Gone

Everyone's gone...
There's no one to look up to...not one...
Not one will be kind enough
To look down and attempt to help me...

Everyone's gone...
I'm beneath the debris
There's no one there to save me...
I'm left to my own misery

Everyone's gone...
I guess I'll find my way out of this maze
Without any clues
I'm waiting for relief to dawn upon me

Everyone's gone
I'm dealing with so much trauma
I'm watching for any signs of support...
Hear my echoes of pain...
It drives me insane...
Catch me before I fall off the cliff...

Everyone's gone
I'm all skin and bones
I'm trapped like a hunted animal
The predator took a bite into me...
Don't just watch me suffer...
Deserted in this lonesome state

Everyone's gone
I'm kicked around like a soccer ball
Hear me as I call...
Help me to stand tall

Help me...
Reach up to the sky
To feel the coolness seep through me
Help me...
To be inspired to write more uplifting songs
Help me think more positively - help me wave g'bye
Help me...
Forgive me for all of my wrongs...

Everyone's gone
I'm a screwed-up building
I need you to be my backbone
Straighten me up...help me to be stiff like a soldier
About to enter another horrifying war
Support me today...
And stick with me tomorrow!

I want to let go of the past memories...
Scaring away my happy moments and delights
I want to smear away the blasphemies…
Obliterating my blissful days and nights

Everyone's gone...
There's no one to depend on...not one...
Not one will be brave enough
To look down and attempt to help me...

Everyone's gone...
I'm beneath the city
There's no one to show me the jolly sun...
I'm left to my own misery

Everyone's gone...
Fine… I'll find a way to get out of this nightmare
Without any clues
I'm waiting for relief to give me strength instead of fear

A Blood Moon Night

A Blood Moon Night
Written by Adam M.
Snow

Tonight I watched in
awe,
the moon once pure
and white.
Obeying the
nighttime law;
lighting the sky so
bright.

The stars, the moon
in sync;
dancing their
worries away.
The end can happen
in a blink;
a sudden halt would
not sway.

Darker the night
grew -
and darker the moon
dost shine.
I stood there in
awe, in view,
- a bloodish
sublime.

The proud moon once
danced so free,
now cowering behind
a blood red veil.
I stood there in awe
to see,
the world halt with
a quail.

The moon eclipsed in
a taint of dark red;

I stood there in awe
in yonder.
"Is not the moon
dead?
What of this?" I
ponder.

Hours pass feeling
like eternity,
watching the blood
moon night pass.
Returning the world
back to modernity,
knowing this isn't
the last.

The moon is pure and
white once more.
Don't succumb to joy
just yet.
Again it'll happen,
I swore -
three more nights, a
blood moon to fret.

Frailty

How I wish to drink the wine of joy with you
feel the brush of fingertips upon my cheek
to spread a picnic feast within the wilderness
what lies within my heart to plainly speak

But raised was I upon a planets prison
and to will of others made was I a slave
with eyes cast to the floor and verbal beating
the road to fear of man did abuse pave

I want to run barefoot on green grass carpets
and prowl the mountain ranges like a cat
wing my way upon the trails ridges
and know no violence will me to attack

Twelve times faced I death and yet I'm living
I've escaped intent and accidents of chance
like those who consider all unforeseen occurrence
that the unwary can be caught by circumstance

I've made my way this far only by reason
four reasons gave the choice for me to live
I've had no time to consider my emotion
nor thought about a need for love did give

I've given vent to mans neglect and violence
for no different do I find inself my own
when I look at the reflection in the mirror
no change to our past can we atone

All those who consider justice and affliction
the pathways of thought and all her tracks
many millennia's of history have we written
the investigation of the goodness mankind lacks

The ever present war within our nature
affected by our fight or flight of reason
the stake to posterity is high and costly
far to often we are weak to logics treason

For all have fallen down before true glory
not a single one hasn't failed his own thought
for everyone has placed for himself standards
and in his own failures is he caught

For in Justice , Love and Wisdom there is Power
in the cosmos is ordered laws that we can see
but not one single human who is existing
can keep the perfection of Love flawlessly

So occasionally I will have to ask for your forgiveness
and hope you love enough to set me free
for even if I think I might know better
I have found in all of us this frailty

I want to tell you I am stronger when you are near me
I have found in you something that in myself I lack
I never knew that getting any closer
would provide the desire to return back

Currents

Sunrise across the river, laughter going through my head,
I don't know what become of you, just a laugh away from,
Some of the things you said. I can hear the river roar.
Rocky mountain river, saw through a vocal score.
Late mournings hours with only the days heat to gain,
Watching, listening to Mother Earth play her games.
Seeing the day before me, remembering you this way,
Calms my upset unsettled thoughts that started my day.

DEAD WINTER

No January morning is ever so devastating, the heavy icicles
dangle from the frozen shingles of houses with puffing chimneys;
no eyes will see the misery of scattered, broken snow flowers...
all paths winding down the icy slopes are buried as memories
of summers past, and by late spring, will they return to us?
Ah, fierce is the strong hand of Nature causing fear through vengeance!

The coldest wind howls, bends trees finding no resistance,
only snow is seen for miles stretching into the warmer South;
where are the Eskimo dogs pulling the heavy-loaded sleights?
Where are the chiseled-faced drivers with the fur-covered heads?
Where are the fishing boats loaded with salmon and trout?
Ah, fierce is the hand of Nature causing fear through vengeance!

It'll get dark early, mornings will be cold and evenings as frigid as Iceland',
only the pathetic moon will shed its dim light on that thick and vast
sheet of gleaming ice that bears crack with their excessive weight...
why live in this cold region and wait for the tons of snow to melt?
Travel South, straight into California to catch some healthy sunshine;
your pale skin will turn red, golden, or bronze while smelling the scent of a vine!
Forget these poetic words that end my long epic of sad reminiscence,
" Ah, fierce is the strong hand of Nature causing fear through vengeance! "

Imagine What You Can't See

The guns, the shooting, the fighting, the war. A young soldier hugs his family as he waits by the door. He knows he's ready, he knows he's right. He stayed up packing and praying all through the night. He's been training, but he's never been there, he can only imagine and prepare. His plane takes off, his heart beats fast, he's leaving for war at last. In his hand he holds a picture of his mom, dad, brother and his sister. He holds it tight and quietly wishes them farewell, he closes his eyes as tears start to swell. The plane lands in the hot heat, quickly he gets ready to jump from his seat. He runs screaming into the dark and stops, what he sees makes his heart drop. Famine, fear, diseases spread. People lying in the streets dead. Laying in the dark, staring at the moon's glare. He can only picture a gruesome nightmare.

Velveteen Sunset

Spoiled scraps of wasted day
Deflate and soil the leveled West
Bruised and bitter they copulate
On an amethyst bed
Too feverish in haste to note
Their plush hues have harshened

The hour came so suddenly
Now all at once must they drink
People's Temple refugees
Squared away and nervous
In their new, nightly Jonestown

Their reverend is hiding
Bright as he is, he sweats
Half hidden under groping land
Mostly melted into reaching trees
Will he come again come morning
Only stars will be awake to see

Until then the night is black
And very lonely

TAKE SOME STEPS

                       TAKE SOME STEPS

Let not fear control your life
regardless of any strife or figurative
knife and be neither a puppet nor a victim
                of any kind

If a talking horse and his owner can
overcome fear with out beer anyone can-
there is no need for a pan but to push
                forward

The proverbial match has been lit
you have to hatch a plan soon and take
some steps or burn-the best decisions
are never made hastily nor selfishly

Forest Games

Stuck in a forest
Lost in the thicket of green
So heavy it is now black
Just like the sun
All the noises I can't identify,
Yet the sounds I know I have heard
Tried my lonely hand at hunting
Hours later... it is me that is now the hunted
By my stench that clings to my scars
My blood sniffed for a trace

The White Mare
the incoming tide made an island out of
the sand bank where I sat, king for a day,
made a crown of coarse grass
but since I only ruled over a few crabs, who
bit my finger when I shook their claws, I
renounced my crown and swam ashore.
Sanitation workers, in blue overalls and
logo, heckled me since I was not like them
and they made fun of my crown.
On an incoming wave a white mare came,
bareback I mounted and gently the horse
trotted amongst the awestruck workers

Mistaken Identity

As the line’s listless structure leapt into attentive control;
It’s purpose for existence instantly acknowledged.

The double-tapered weight-forward shooting line’s condensation,
Informed of its instant transformation,
Leaps to the water’s corresponding constitution,
Each droplet acting as spherical asteroids of deception on the current’s rippling surface.

Instantly, a silent connection has arisen.
One derived out of technology,
Entombed in the cosmology of the seasons,
Originating before explorations in genetics.

Taking solice in a meal of two moons,
How could one resist this temptuos delight?
Emerging with swarms of life; Analgous in size, shape, and color,
Cleaverly disguised in the guile of organic structure.

Destruction and Decadence

I have no idea what you are facing in this segment of life
You are like a labyrinth; I can’t untangle the mayhem without any clues
Spill out your emotions…there’s a waterfall in your eyes ready to collapse
I don’t have the time and willpower to hike on your colossal mountain

Are you fit enough to climb with my echoing praise?
I doubt I ever have the strength to crawl into your agonizing thoughts
Of destruction and decadence
Of despondent dreams and isolated guidance

Do you accept my benevolence towards you?
Do you believe that I can mend your shattered dreams?
Do you accept my fondness towards a friend like you?
Do you have faith that I can make your dreams a reality as it truly seems?

Your contemplation is another expedition to trek
You are like an island, separating cramming chaos from undying peace
Rise from the cave and attack…there’s a bear in your nature, watching over her cubs
I don’t have the ability and determination to trudge in your soggy wasteland

Are you slick enough to trek with my shielding gaze?
I doubt I’m nowhere to be found in your thoughts of desolation
And destructive formation,
Springing forth the equipment of your
Turmoil and damnation

With any luck, I hope we can arrive in one piece
On the other hand, I wish that we both escape from this horrifying journey
Because I want to discard the labyrinth, crafting puzzling pathways that draw me back to
Destruction and recklessness
That I, by no means, address

You are powerful even in the darkest of days... I prayed for Your insight
Night and Day...every pondering moment.
You responded to my prayers in many unique ways...You made my spirit take flight
What should I say? You scrubbed off my lament.

You relieved me from distress
You fearlessly strengthened my hope
and frayed my fear
Now I'm in high spirits with freewill and delight...
and I must confess
You wiped away the boundless tears, shattering my negativity...
your love is crystal clear now!

Am I still that hovering angel...yearning for some light?
Am I still that naive spirit, giving in to the darkness and seeking plight?

I know God loves me, but I doubt Him still
God revealed His love with my whole family...but i don't feel right
I know God cares for us, I see no sign of Him or His will...
God dealt with us with patience and kindness, but I can't yield on to His radiance so full of might

You are fruitful even in the darkest hours...I prayed for Your delight
To fall upon me day and night...effecting my every thought process
You promised me Your blessings and upcoming Kingdom every time I consider Your Word... You made my dreams come true and lingered around me despite
My bitter, spiteful words that I didn't mean to say... Is there any hope that I'll ever be successful during this time of cheerlessness

But, I believe God is a merciful creator!!

Bite

The garden of eden contains the fruits of nature and being one with all its residents. But as evolution triumphs, we move closer to self destruction.
By going forward we are essentially moving backwards.
Stop
I dont want live on this planet anymore
Jumping from the stratosphere
Down
Pluto
Cold
We cant run from time
and our time will come
Taking lives easier than appreciating
The Fall of nature

Tower of Shame

Shame
Remains the same
But, I'm sure I'm its victim
IT SURE NEEDS A TRIM...

I feel ugly and slim

Devour
The tower
Of darkness
Leading me to distress...

I'm in a miserable mess

Kill
The pill
Of sadness
Swallowing me whole - I'm hopeless

My gratitude transforms to frustration...
Do you sense my agitation...?

Feel
The steel
In MY heart
Pounding me to death...

COULD ANYONE TAKE HEART?
ARE YOU GOING TO LET THE MONSTERS
TEAR ME APART??

COWER
Away from the
Dark and morbid tower
OF SHADINESS
Throwing bricks at me...
I'm choking on the dry paint of filthiness

Do you hear my screams?
Do you feel my stress?
Will you keep me in your dreams?
Do you want me to be full of happiness?
Do you want to rest for the day
OR put it aside and increase my dismay?

SHAME
Has no beautiful name
But, it sure gets me
Worked up and distressed...
When I look back at the tower,
I don't feel the best...
Let me flee!! Let me rest...

...or I'll feel tired and depressed

Twilight Stroll Through the Jading Copse

The sun in its melancholy phase
dazed swirls, sun dial spinning
Pale moon but a mere shadow
empty ball, psychedelic haze

Into the bleary copse I tread
for a twilight detox of sorts
nerves on end, psyche suspends
light with shadows, a disco portends

Blipping pulses of light filter down
the pin pricks cause vertigo,
as disoriented interloper, stagger
through the bifurcated maze

Bristling limbs tap their snare drums
dissonant rhythms, arrhythmia creeps
swaying arms shroud every move
Damocles' sword swaggers o'er my head

The ground's tangled web straddles
my feet; jagged stumps, fibrous roots,
slippery Lichens harrow each quaking step
the seismic swell rises to my shaken core

An eerie wind serenades my imagination
grainy outlines appear in the distance
wispy figments dance in the shadows
above, silted holograms prance through trees

Picking up the pace, now double time
my lagging adrenaline to prime
shedding my sensory shield
my naked soul conquers the tempest

Heroes

See the sky painted a crimson red,
They're the ones who face what others dread

They suit up and fight for things that aren't theirs,
True people with hearts that sincerely care

Fighting the flames with water and prayers,
Hoping to make it back to their loved ones who care

They fight flames and protect what they can,
Working from dawn til dusk again and again

With their only wish being to make it home safe and ease their loved ones fears,
This can only happen once the flames cease and the smoke has cleared

Beauty of the Mind

A fiery solstice of tranquil compassion and lie high in the sky in a beautiful fasion, in a blanket of bright in the night as you look like a dream you had read of as a child in a book, so suble they move, well it seems it is so, but you could just be blinded from that terrible glow, now you thought of a dream that you could compare, but its not just a dream it is a nightmare, not lucid at all , you have no control like evading the gravitation of a timeless blackhole, do not be afraid it was all just a dream can be happy or sad, its whatever you percieve, just remember my pretender it is all inside you'll find, so many possibilities its the beauty of the mind.

Forever Lies The Snake.(all comments appreciated)

Forever lies the snake,
The animal with no legs.
Forever runs the hare,
Contenuosly hopping away.

Forever flys the bat
Innocent, yet feared.
Forever swims the swan
Innocent, but adored.

Forever leaps the mountain goat,
Cunning to live at mountain summits.
Foever lives the tortise,
An old, beloved race.

Forever to have something in common.
Are curious to what it is?
Take a guess, you see it every day.
I believe that its the fear of us,
For we put fear into them.
We forced them out of their homes.
We killed them off one by one.
But why I ask do we do this?
Shouldn't we treat them the same?
We should all know what its like to lose a home.
In times of war we are forced to flee for isnt that the same?
Please answer me to the best that you possibly can.
Why should not care to them when they are our species' brethren.

Tornado

Look up in the sky! Such a frightening sight! the winds are a churning in horizontal flight!

It started with hail slamming down to the ground, then no showboating, things were floating, when you looked all around, I saw a cow, I don,t know how, being lifted up in the air!

Confounded and astounded, I must find a way to get out of here!

Suddenly! through the dark cloud a strange thing did appear, an extremely loud funnel cloud, that my eyes and ears could not bear.

A huge and great menace, it moved most supernaturally, this wondrous wind wonder hadn't left me anyplace to flee!

With nowheres to run and lil time left to wait, I threw out my hands in prayer and accepted my fate.

Low Man Is Due

A low man is due...
My eyes seek reality,
My fingers feel for faith.
Touch clean with a dirty hand,
I touch the clean to the waste.
I fall cause I let go,
The net below has rot away.
And I cry to the alleyway,
Confess all to the rain.
But I lie straight to the mirror,
The one I've broken to match my face.
The fire is so warm,
But nowhere safe from the storm.
And I can't bear to see,
What I've let me be.
So wicked and worn.
So as I write to you,
Of what is done and to do.
Maybe you'll understand,
I won't cry for this man.
Cause low man is due.
So low the sky is all I see,
All I want from you is forgive me.
My eyes seek reality,
And my fingers seek my veins.
There's a dog at your back step,
He must come in from the rain.
But you bring that poor dog in from the rain,
Though he just wants right back out again.
So my fingers feel for faith,
And my eyes seek reality.
So as I write to you,
Of what is done and to do.
Maybe you'll understand,
I won't cry for this man.
Cause low man is due.

My Love, Hush Now

Be still, my love...I whisper steadily...
The predator is out to kill...hush now!
Don't scream in pain...resist it or we'll suffer intensely...

Get ready...my dove...I shout fearlessly...
The hawk will snatch you with a thrill...be brave now!
Don't unleash your fear or we'll be mourning fretfully...

the adventure of a timid man

The Adventure of a Timid Man.

The narrow dirt road I followed today was nothing more than a bumpy track,
on both sides ugly trees and thorny, evergreen bushes I was trapped in
the wilderness of enraged nature. Sun and deep shadows, god knows what
lurked in them. Prickly silence, the noise of the scooter unnerved me,
switched off the clamour; opaque calm. As a child when we played cowboys
and Indians I was forever the redskin; trust me to side with losers.
Tractor tracks which meant the road was leading somewhere. I heard grunts
in the bushes maybe it was a boar and if it charged I had no defense, not even
a folding knife. Whistled a Dixie tune, spoke loudly, the echo of my fear ran
up and down the road. I drove on ignoring the imps that grabbed at my shirt
trying to hold me back. And there I saw it the asphalted main road, now I had
nothing to fear but cars and crazy drivers.

ISN'T THE END COMING SOON

Sons and daughters are rising
against their parents,
they use obscenity
and physical force;
honor is no longer
present in their unsound thoughts...
isn't the end coming soon?

Rivers and oceans flood towns and cities,
crops and lives are being lost,
mothers grieve for their children;
firefighters and soldiers
try to save them with their shivering pets...
isn't the end coming soon?

The climate is continuously changing,
it's getting warmer and ice is melting
in both North and South Poles;
grizzly bears, deers and wolves
search for food in garbage pails...
is the end coming soon?

Drug addicts and homeless people
are dying on dark, filthy streets
infested by rodents as big as cats;
punks carry guns and shoot in hallways,
and yet hookers continue their business...
isn't the end coming soon?

Grandpas and grandmas read the Bible daily,
their grandchildren worship the Devil who promises
them riches with schemes...even justice and punishment are failing;
who controls the Courtroom: the judge, the crook or the green?
Is the jury as fair and righteous as it appears?
Isn't the end coming soon?

Preachers praise God from the pulpit
when their souls are not pure as He is...
are they deceiving themselves and their flocks?
They interpret the Bible as they deem,
being inherent and contradicting...
isn't the end coming soon?

When The-Same-Sex-Marriage Law was passed,
crowds of gays and lesbians cheered on:
a return to Sodom and Gomorrah?
Soon perversion will be everywhere,
and more incurable diseases will start new plagues...
isn't the end coming soon?

Gypsie Boy Part One

The toot of a lute
Rang through the air
The carnival was uproar with laughter
A little boy's eyes
a much larger size
at the sight of what he was after
A stale piece of bread
Sat in the trash
It made the little boy in rag's mouth water.
So he reached through the gate
as soon as it got late
Hoping to avoid his slaughter
For stealing was a crime
Even from a trash-bin
They'd have his head off in seconds
A guard caught his eye
But before he could cry
Fate thought he'd need a hero, I reckon.
Some strangely dressed women
appeared from the shadows
and drew their shiny swords
The strangers fought
In the dead of night
The boy was lost for words
One of the women
She approached the child
She bent down to get another look
Seeing his starvation
The pain in his eyes
And the energy that life's stresses had took
"Come with us," Said the women
With a friendly smile
She offered the little boy her hand.
"You'll be safe with us,"
The women explained
"No more getting kicked in the sand."
The boy gave the women
a cautious look
He greatly considered her offer
His parents had just died
Of a horrible starvation
Tonight, hunger wouldn't take another
The little boy agreed
To join the Gypsies
Together they ate and they danced
They traveled from place
To place to place
With a merry smile around he pranced
But what they didn't know
Black magic was brewing
The pagans couldn't sense it upon them
But the hungry little boy
Had always had a gift
He knew when trouble was near him
Immediately he ran
To alert the Gypsies
He said something dark was coming
The pagans all stopped
The music died down
They'd send this enemy running
With candles and an altar
Some herbs and a pendant
The pagan's had formed a plan
They'd cast out a spell
That would protect the people
The animals and the land
Suddenly the sky darkened
Rain started to fall
Their magic wasn't working
With no wind blowing
A candle tipped
Danger was definitely lurking
The fire spread
through out the camp
Tents burned down to ash
The gypsies all panicked
And fetched buckets of water
These problems surely couldn't last
The next two moths
were full of bad luck
The boy got covered by glances
"These problems didn't happen"
"Untill this boy came along."
They said getting rid of him would raise their chances
Of surviving in this
Horrid world we live in
They shunned him within a matter of hours
The boy wandered the earth
With tears in his eyes
His cries rang out with power
So on he walked
Following the road
As his gypsies had taught him
Though his spirits were crushed
and his body hungry
Nobody in the world would stop him

True Expressionists

As far as my mind can perceive, that which is all I have come to believe
Stands true to my soul, and as I grow old realizing there's more to be seen.

If you share same nature in feeling, and have courage enough not conealing
Then dont be afraid, express it in ways, assessing the cards god is dealing.

Trust that god in its general name, shows creater just what it has made
Wayward cultures confused, helpless people are used in the race to place all the blame.

You are brave enough to construct, true religion yet faux claims deduct
Then you'll see there is reason for changing of season, and "coincidence" isn't just luck.

Its whats positive that which I feel, and negative hits harder than steel
I find more joy from the up, so darkness gets fluxed and spirit steers better my wheel.

How did I possibly come to conlusion? obtain vision and not just illusion?
I read people like books, so when teachers tried to look I either embraced or gave
resolution.

Subsiding

I’m grieving like a weeping willow tree
I’m hanging on the branches
Colliding…colliding
Like leaves falling one by one,
My life is failing to seek the light (I don’t wanna face His wrath)…
And I blurred out the sun

I’m drooping like a weeping willow tree
I’m hanging helplessly…my sorrow hatches
Abiding…subsiding…
Like leaves plunging every hour,
My life is wandering off of God’s path (Do I still look precious in God’s sight?)…
And I can’t help but cower

I’m trembling like a worn-out cigarette
My doom is caving in…and I crumble…
I’m starving for Your comfort… I’m upset
My fate is close at hand…yet I still crumble

Into ash.

Family Tree

Our family tree will never stop growing…our faith and comfort will never crumble
Love grows here…so have no fear—God is near
My family, though packed up with pride and low self-esteem, still appears humble
Mirth produces joy and our hope gives birth to cheer

God is our Father; who could play this role as skillfully? Who, other than God, created the world so genuinely?
Love comes from He…so scare away the anxiety—God will grant us ecstasy
My family, though packed up with hope and despair, cherishes my soul with glee
Rebirth and life comes from He and our faith should draw near to thee

"i love you sweet boy..we will have fun this summer and be a close and godly family..nighty nit my light"
This summer, I am positive that we will be a close and godly family
But we must be lights of the world…and we must be willing to finish that race of hardships to earn His dignity
By all means, we will have an enjoyable break without paying a fee
But we must be God’s faithful followers…and we must be prepared to follow our Shepherd who is the key

Of never-ending faith and comfort, nourishing us abundantly
He still exists…He unravels the insanity
Of this world and set us free from blasphemy
Watching over us with pure vitality

Give us Your water
Don’t leave us in the gutter
Listen to the words we mutter

I pray that our family tree will look up to you devotedly

That dark night

I felt it brush my face in the chill morning breeze,
I heard it's whisper in the silent conversations,
I saw it in every strangers blank desperate face,
I walked in it down the road and faced it round every bend,

I awoke in utter oil blackness with it screaming,
Your sobs and retches pulled something demonic from deep,
I stumbled in a haze stinking of fear knowing in my ignorance,
You rushed past me brushing onto me your darkness,
I looked wildly around spotting your memory on the table,
I peeked gasping in a silent horror; beginning to pray,
You had gone in that run-away, one way car,
I was praying constantly as I rang out warning bells for help,
You were hurtling towards the end, stopping now and then to make sure,
I finally reached a fellow warrior more battle hardened than I,

I was most earnest with every word I spilled,
You were stuck looking at a plastic bright past,
I was praying that you would allow a true, beautiful future,
You had seen love turned to twisted ends with bitter roots,
I was then completely selfish; wondering what if he does end,

It had the strongest hold over you blinding eyes: death,
It had been sapping you longing for that final feast: death
It had swirled about my head and I had been lost: death
It now sought ultimate destruction, it had it's prize in sight: death
It was thwarted by Grace, it was cast down by love: death

Eve- The Death of Innocence

Links in a chain remind me of floats in a parade come crashing together hard like a veil over a charade the truth now exposed in a vessel named Eve who lays there naked holding her breasts firm, in plain view Her heart goes into an arrest you can see her pain as she quivers violently dying no use crying now that her end has come she knows shes just begun a certain virgin cycle just one of the disciples could follow her new way A pile of guilty ashes portray a world innocent no more all burned out by evil forces their plain white noises echo as screams in my dreams that quickly turn to new nightmares of such a beautiful ending that gives resemblance to an empire of innocence crumbling down like a chain Eve was her name

A sailors moon
reddened with lost love
scarlet in sorrow
serenading deaths victims
in a desperate plea for them to come home

dark with the desperation of lovers
a farewell speech
a fleeting mirage of familiarity
a forgotten fragility of the heart

A sailors moon
cold and cumbersome
heavy and burdensome
only to be lifted with the light of day

Doubt

A wandering wavering wind bleeding doubt wraps tightly ‘round its' victim in a masterful landscaped sketch of anger it falters and stumbles in its' indecisive nature that at times sways around the arch of a sword determined only to find the truth of its' mark An unsettled mind decides only to take itself out of everything, it finds joy in being nowhere and in that it hides behind a misted mask of silence it may cry with tears of unknown sorrow as it dances its' weak-kneed waltz around the truth that dares to spin out of control A lumbering languid mindset is preoccupied with listening to every single word of every conversation but never acting on anything it search for conspiratorial theoretical indiscernible meanings where there is nothing; It is a foolish denial of the possibility of easily accessible truth An unguided emotional eddy of evasiveness tangles around cords of hesitancy it swirls in fearful tranquility only broken by strong communication that is covered in truth and love and in honesty and compassion

The beast and the meek-

Gently I did lie down beside the beast in

the green pasture. Silently did I lie...

trembling in fear of the unknown and

facing my greatest fear ever, we did both lie

in silence in the green pasture... Scared to

glance into the eyes of the beast, fearing

it would devour me in just one bite. Silently

we did both lie... finally I did look upon the beast; my

fears now did start to subside... As I started to remembered

my father’s promise to me. And the meek shall lie down with

the beast and it shall come to pass that he would not eat the

meek. Both the beast and the meek in perfect peace...

in my father’s pasture did we both lie... silently in green

pastures and in perfect peace, both the lion and the sheep.

Beat`en moans. ( from Tigers in my eyes.)

I watched as the great white tiger called Life looked down on those who feared
him on the ground,
from the cradle to the grave he hunts you, you live in his world in his jungle you
play his game,
you never know he`s coming , the great one never makes a sound,
you will fill his wrath, you will fill the pain,
Distant the orange tiger that has raced to Life for revenge licks his wounds from
the last time the two battled,
you see Life took it`s toll on Distant`s family he took them to the darkest of places
never killing them but leaving them wishing he did,
they didn`t fight back they accepted all Life gave which wasn`t much, a troubled
past, scares that branded them like cattle,
he watched as Life destroyed them one by one and when he did it to Distant, Life
never seen the fire in his eyes the fire Distant hid,
" To you and to you only I look to for revenge for purpose for meaning and a way
to get back all that you `ve taken," Distant roared,
as the rain fell Distant could smell Life he ran to the top of the hill thinking of the
tears his mother cried,
faster and fast, higher and higher he raced to the smell of the great one when he
reached the top the rain stopped and Distant roared,
" HERE I AM LETS PLAY YOUR GAME I HAVEN`T HAD ENOUGH YOU PRAY ON
THE WEAK YOU PRAY ON THE ONES WHO FEAR YOU,"
Distant roamed in circles striking near by trees and stones,
" I DON`T FEAR YOU, YOU WON`T BEAT ME, MY PAIN IS MY FUEL."
not a sound from Life, just beat`en moans.

Sincerely Yours,

Dear friend ,

The world means nothing.
Its set in flames.
Even worse we roam with cold hearts trying to look the part,
in this guilded age.

This is something I wish not to be a part of.
I no longer want to be another soul endlessly making
contact with sole and pavement.
I'm striving for abatement.

For meaning I've always looked at dictionaries.
For significance we've always looked at actions.
So please do take another look and see what this letter is for.

Our education is supposed to be priceless, yet we can't afford it.
Our outlook on life is supposed to be uplifting , yet our vision is always distorted.
Our struggle is supposed to be significant , than why is it our stories won't be recorded?

Does this not trouble you my friend?
We complain about being second rate citizens yet there are those who don't live
but attempt to survive in their homes that are assigned in third world countries since before birth.

Where is the justice if the hearts are starting to turn into just ice?
Wheres the justice if a benevolent man was robbed of their life?
Where's the justice in this non-sense?
I can't see it . All I see is us bracing for a cruel consequence.

Pardon me if I trouble you with the questions you can't answer.

But i've outweighed the pros and the cons of this situation.
I no longer wish to to be just another number in this logorithm of lies.
I no longer wish to be a variable with no value of his own.
I wish to become the variable that comprehends the absolute value of sincerity.

Real love is that which shows no fear.
Unfortunately I am a coward.
I no longer can love a world that is platinum plated and wishes not to remember
the warmth of a child's smile.

Even the stars wish not to roam on the skies of the falsely lit nights.
Even the moon moans because of how far from her we've drifted.
Even the willos weep when we no longer wish to see them stand and instead
choose them to stand on.

I've outweighed the courage and the fear.
But what I found frightened me further.
What weighed us down the most was indifference.

With that discovery I knew what I had to do.
I must leave and find somewhere where gravity is no longer so heavy.

I know I can't outweigh death for it's a burden that falls on the shoulders of everyone.
I'm truly sorry that i'm a selfish coward
For I have chosen the coward's end.

I wish you goodluck my friend,

Sincerely yours,

The shadow of men

Poetic Injuns Snarl

Poetic injuns snarl
The deprecation of land
Defacing of meaning
The grappling with cold
Hospitalized truth, creaky tiles

Curling sand from loveless fingers
Exactitude measured from fininitude
All consuming chains of being
You will be digested as chunks of matter
The law in the same
As for a grain of wheat
There's no special deviation
For walking tonsils with big brains

The oldest man

This man of the past was a shadowy figure.
A moth flittering in the dusk,
covering the earth;
all in silence's dust.

There was a time,
back when,
last time,
in this place,
are the words that come afterwards.
Before, there are many conversations
but not enough is said.
Much is shared,
but most of it is repeats.
Original and deep are rare.
We hope that our eyes
and almost silent sighs convey all we hold within.

But the man of black cloak is ever patient
and ready.
To bear and take the loved ones away.
Like the cloud that slinks across the vista of the night sky
veiling the ancient ones that give hope,
they say it isn't all now, and it isn't all gone.
But now and for a while
I'll be left staring at the cloud
that reflects no light.

I'm a fire

All I need,
Is the air,
To make me grow,
And dance around,
Sometimes I shrink,
To one tiny ember,
Standing alone,
But still leathal,
Big and Tall,
Firey monster,
Just one touch,
To strike you down,
I can do
What ever I want,
Burn you down,
Bring you up,
Addictive to watch,
I dance around,
Nice to the eye,
Bad to the touch,
The ultimate bulldozer,
That is I,
Desroying anything,
That lay in my path,
I only have,
One single enemy,
A mutating blue blanket,
If it lie in my way,
This is I,
Fiery as ever,
But can you see,
The beauty inside?

To Endure a Thorn

Life is garden full of various fauna.

There will be brush that appeals to the touch and other vegetation that appeal to the other senses.

You will find flowers with the most intoxicating of fragrances. Witness flowers with the most beautiful of petals.
You will hear the buds come to blossom. Here you will taste the most exotic and comforting of nectars.

But the rose you seek will have the most thorns.
This rose is called joy.
But to hold this rose means one must endure its thorns.

We must ignite the passion that can melt away the pain and rekindle the flame so it’s warmth can dry our eyes and rid us of all our previous shame.

We do this all to hold a rose, spend restless nights , shed tears, feel scorned,
....all to endure a touch of a thorn.

Double Mind

Who told you
             to be afraid
of those who hate justice

What has happened
             that you let slide
      love , joy , peace , gentleness
forbearance, goodness
meekness , faith , and hope

When did become you
                                                  a slave
to the vanities of the nations

Where did the exaltation
                of loving-kindness
         disappear

Why did you hide
            the light in your heart

Those oppressors of opinion
           where peer pressures
you to run
       to reveling and debauchery
       greed and drunken promiscuity
a man of ingenuity
                             is hailed to renown
but a man of virtue
          and trust is thrown down
Those who sit in laughter
                             of the broken and infirm
Whose contempt and arrogance
                             did no understanding learn
Benevolence of a person
                              is in mockery reviled
Charity for those less fortunate
and jests the violations of a child
                     Can you not decide
what character you will wear
                     conform to some pompous ass
whose opinions you don't share
to sit long hours in drink
and think abuse and rape a joke
           minds that are truly clouded
and disappeared like smoke
The nations sell the lies
                             like many sacks of grains
dense clouds of darkness
                             conceals what truth remains
These are some decisions
that all in life will face
consider carefully your choices
                            once set can't be erased

Part 1 of This is How We Throw Our Faith Away

Through the night lies a love in a warrior’s blood reluctant to fight due to the man above. In his heart he cries as his heart tares him apart. This is the strength of a man torn between what he has sworn and the love he has worn, since the day he was born. He’s afraid to stand; yet the power is in his hand, but he won’t let go of the land. He is a little boy hiding behind a gun, riding to be a hero, siding with fear and a toy for the devil. It is not till the end he will hear; this is how we throw our faith away. This is the way it leaves us day to day. Why is it god we betray?

A new victim is brought into the world at the rim of our hearts and because of her precious face we embrace right away. It is not till later we find she is blind, and needless to say challenged in the mind. Love disappears without a trace because of fear we won’t erase. Her tears brake so the advantage we take to bring her down and make her drown in her own sob. It is not until she is ripped apart that we feel we have done our job. This is how we throw our faith away. This is the way it leaves us day to day. Why is it god we betray?

They live on the street, Born on their feet, and every now and then get beat. They may be dirty and a little then, but that’s just because of where they’ve been. All they have is the man in the skies. No one dares look into their eyes, for it will uncover their demise. They will have to face up to their own lies. They may not have any money or riches galore, but they have god, and that’s more than the rich can sell in a store. The rich unwilling to see turn away acting more than they will ever be. This is how we throw our faith away. This is the way it leaves us day to day. Why is it god we betray?

Homosassa

Left the dock to jump in the black
barnacles glued to the wood
Moment of fear with no turning back
footprints dark wet where I stood
Swimming the river in summer
conscious of reed moccasins
toe tips on seaweed, shiver me timbers
water tight holding my skin
Blue crabs slip past me
soon red, dipped for dinner
Water bugs weightless
and constantly spinning
Sun on a slant as it blues the horizon
seal slip my skin through the night
Lanterns left burning, mosquito wings twirling
alligator eyes shining white
Leaving the river to begin it’s night life
with creatures who don’t know the day
Spring water bathing, fear not withstanding
Blows my composure away.
