The truth about women

Bestowed with femininity,
     wisdom, elegance, and grace,
exemplifying dignity, daughter of the human race.

X chromosome integrity
      ordains attributes endowed,
according by propensity, a nature kind and proud.

Beauty and vitality
     anoint her noble gender,
magnum opus artistry imparts celestial splendor.

Her marvelous complexity
     gives complementary disposition
to valiant masculinity for a perfect coalition.

Exquisite physiology
     yields licentious pleasure due
the wanton sensuality of erotic pas de deux.

Magnificent hologyny,
     woman becomes by thy behest,
sacred vessel of posterity, with honor ever blessed.

I Am

I am an old lady, but did not live in a shoe

I am a wife who married her soul mate twice because I wasn’t satisfied with just once

I am a mother that was overly protective of three sons, they all are different in every way, the youngest I planned before I got too old, I wanted a girl but I guess it was not meant to be

I am a grandmother of six, four boys and two girls, I love them all, with all my soul, all spoiled because that is what grandparents do

I have friends that are more a family to me than my own, I would do anything for them whenever they are in need, but they have always been there for me

I am a Christian Catholic and taught prep, I taught my students with lots of visuals because that is how I learn and retain, I also taught school with stern rules but compassionate to all

I am an artist of oils, so all I see is beauty in everything I see even the ugliest frog is beautiful to me

I am one of those wives that would love to walk hand in hand with my husband through the wood of the tall pine and look at the pond that lies beyond with the wild creature’s noseying to see but stay away

I am female

I am Eve is who I am

That Silly Old Hat Of Yours

Oh, how could I ever be bored?
When I had such interesting chores.

I had to paint our bedroom door,
Then mop the grand, speckled floor.

Walked quickly down to the shore,
And dug hidden clams with the oar.

Made a tasty clam-supper for four,
Then into their big bowls I poured.

Knowing, they would yell for more,
Prompting my tender voice to roar -

All gone, there's more at the store!
Or take a lantern to search the shore.

However, they cost more at the store,
But not a penny, to dig with the oar.

Oh, I'm sure you will not get bored,
Performing such an interesting chore.

For soon in bed, I will sweetly snore,
With a sound much louder than yours.

Last night the paint actually, tore,
From the ceiling and door, it poured.

And that is why, I happily wore,
That Silly Old Hat Of Yours.

Since First I Saw You

Since first I saw you, it was your eyes,
mesmerizing, your gaze transporting
me to a realm, not of fantasy, real,
where young men go when cupid’s
arrow takes root.

Since first I saw you, it was your lips,
captivating, holding me frozen
in anticipation of our lips brushing
for the first time.

Since first I saw you, it was your voice,
a crescendo, light, invigorating,
each word you speak intensifies
my hearing, enveloping each
note, time ceases as I hang motionless
savoring, memorizing.

Since first I saw you, it was your hair,
long, flowing, gently rising above
your shoulders as a slight breeze
passes through sending waves
of your essence my way.
The sun magnifying each strand,
highlighting the minute
variances of invigorating color,
creating a halo effect, a portrait of
your beauty forever imprinted.

Since first I saw you, It was you,
my love forever more for you,
only you.

woman

I am the daughter of eve ,with the strength to create or destroy the world, but you nasty people
Judge and say me as a simple weak being.
Was born to be beautiful being but you made me suffer my whole life.
During childhood,I loved playing with dolls and with friends,
But you wanted me to do the chores so brother can enjoy.
He enjoyed all the pleasures and had all the fun, while I was in the
Hot sun, doing the work like a nun.
I worked like a donkey, but he had the turkey.
As he was the son, and I was none.
He had to read the books and I had the food to cook.
And there came a new man in life ,for whom I was wife.
He earned money and I was honey.
he had the authority and I was in poverty.
He was the ruler and I was the bearer.
All I wanted was the love ,but he gave me the stove.
The days passed and the seasons changed, but my life hadn’t.
Designation changed from wife to mother, nursing all the time .
Was split into two by husband and kids, but the heart always
Desired something else.
Kids grew and flew to new destinations.
the heart does crave and yearn for love as it is stupid,as it doesn’t
have mind to think, and it is there only to feel.
I want to learn, read ,play and relive those moments which were
Mine but were snatched away as I was a girl.
But it is us, who make this world beautiful, peaceful and happy.
We are mothers, daughters, sisters above all we are human beings.
Treat us like fellow humans but not like slaves, then you will see
The more beauty of the world.

How Can We Hurt The Ones We Love

How Can We Hurt The Ones We Love?

How can we hurt the very ones that we love?
How can we easily neglect our God above?

It seems like I often heard about many victims
Many times, it’s from a loved one who’s been with them!

The hate and the anger that boils from deep within.
Often “boils over” toward our family and friends.

It’s the love of Christ that we need to find!
His love can totally cleanse our life and mind!

The hearts of many families are bruised and broken.
By the harshness of many of the words spoken.

If we would allow Jesus to rule and reign.
We’d have little reason to murmur or complain.

If we would yield our lives to the master’s will…
The emptiness and brokenness, he shall fulfill!

If we could allow ourselves to sit at Jesus’ feet…
He can make any family totally complete!

If we could just listen to what Christ has to say.
His words of life would brighten our day!

As a family… Won’t you give HIM a chance?
And allow his love to change your circumstance!

Won’t you allow his spirit to bind you together?
You can experience his peace today and forever!

He can change your family throughout!
This is his will and what God is all about!

A Mother's Love

A Mother’s Love… How precious is the love of a mother’s heart! Even as a child… It’s there from the start. A mother’s love knows no boundary or limit. It’s often shown by how much the mother gives it! Whether her children are young or growing old… And whatever circumstances in life may unfold. Her love is continually a solid foundation… That can’t be removed, torn or shaken. Her love is what is a guiding force. Even if her children’s lives stray off course. I’m thankful for the love my mother’s given… It’s surely influenced the way I’ve been livin’! To all of our mothers across our great nation… May we show them our love and appreciation! Their love has stood and endured the test of time… I’m so glad that one of them is MINE! By Jim Pemberton

Today Is Terrible----

The cracked spine of
the book I dropped
at the call.
A chip in my
windshield left by a
pompous *?#@! in a
red sports car as I
drive to the
service.
Rain expectorating
from an ashen sky as
the dirt is turned.
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
crack in grandma’s
spine from her fall
down the stairs.
The chip in her
amazingly smart mind
after eighteen years
as a teacher.
Tears running,
dripping from my
Mothers ashen face
as she cries “My
mama’s dead.”
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
cracked family
emotions left raw
and empty.
The chip in Grandpas
numb mind at the
gathering… “Where is
Irene she should be
here?”
Faces gone ashen
with dread, do we
leave him numb or
remind him that his
wife is dead?
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
empty silences,
missing the jokes
Grandma used to
crack.
Grandma’s laugh and
her endless smile
which always exposed
that tooth with the
chip in it.
Without her the
world has become
empty, bleak, and
ashen.
Today is terrible.

          Summer

anniversary

this is inspired by a picture of a guy looking at a piece of bread with one candle
on it, http://allpoetry.com/amyrowsell

today would be our first wedding anniversary
but I lost her, a month ago
a guy was driving drunk and crossed the line
that night he took the life of mine
you think that they would learn
driving is a privilege you have to earn
I hate him for what he has done
he took away a mother from me and our young son
nobody wins when people drive drunk

Just as the Sea

The beauty of love
Is a lot like the Sea
With all of it’s power
Beautiful and free
Just as the Sea
Is bound by currents
Souls are bound
By loves torrent
Just as the Sea
Reflects the light
Love truly is
A beacon of right
Just as the Sea
Is a provider of life
Love makes a mother
As well as a wife
Just as the Sea
Is bound to the wind
Love forever binds
Two dear friends
Just as the Sea
Needs be respected
True love is a thing
That must be protected
As the waves create
The rings of time
Forever yours
Forever mine

The Definition Of A Real Woman

(W)- A real woman knows that the wages of sin is death so she is not concerned about the wages of a real man, because money comes and goes like day and night; but true love comes just every blue moon. A real woman isn't loud and doesn't have to be the center of attention. Money is a gold-diggers virtue, while patience is a real woman’s virtue. A real woman is always wary of the image she displays to the world because she knows her children are watching her every move. A real woman’s wisdom comes from the teachings of her elders and the experiences and hardships life brings. A real woman is the wings that help a broken man learn to fly again. When you become the object of a real woman’s affection, winning is the only option.

(O)- A real woman’s main obligation is to better herself, before she attempts to become someone’s better half. A real woman is very obliged with all that God has blessed her with. When a man takes a real woman for granted, she makes up her mind to put him away into oblivion. A real woman is use to jumping hurdles because overcoming obstacles in life keeps her on the right track. A real woman doesn't spend her time worrying if failure is around the corner, because she occupies her freedom chasing her dreams in her most comfortable running shoes. A real woman is a hopeless romantic ready to be wooed with an odyssey of love with a real man by her side.

(M)- A real woman’s presence is magnanimous and captures attention because of the poised and elegant stature of her classy nature. A real woman is like the magnet of ecstasy. All women don't attend college or hold prestigious employment, but for many being the Valedictorian of mothers everywhere is the major of their lives. A real woman respects the art of marriage and believes in monogamy. A real woman’s life is the motion picture of sophistication. The mythology of a woman began within a man’s ribs and ends in the beat of his heart.

(A)- A real woman sticks to her man like glue and never abandons his side. A real woman has the ability to do anything a man can. A real woman has the power to fill the abyss of a man’s pains with joy. A real woman prays with her other half because faith is the key of remaining on one accord. A real woman will amaze you with the way she adapts to changes in her ambiance. A real woman is the architect of her own destiny.

(N) A real woman needs a man to understand and love her for everything she is and for everything she is not because a good support system is a leading factor in longevity within relationships. A real woman is the nexus between love and happiness. When you converse with a real woman you will realize that she is nimble with her every response. No man can ignore the nymph of a real woman, because it is in her D.N.A to be notable.

I'm Going Home

,

Lord thank you for this life,
As I have lived a full life,
It was not always as I would have like,
But I lived it to the best of what I could,
I’m going home; Home to the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been a long weary believer,
As I’ve been away to long,
I now know what I’ve been searching for,
As He's been there in me all along,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been and seen lots of places in life’s journey,
Now I yearn for familiar faces in familiar places,
I hear familiar voices calling me to come home,
I see familiar faces looking at me,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
My time is near, the hour I know not,
I see Jesus' face across the Heaven’s,
I hear His soft sweet voice calling me home,
I can’t wait for my real life to begin,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me.

Did The Lord Build Your House

Did The Lord Build Your House? This house of ours is “plain.” But is still standing. We’re “simple folks...” By many people’s understanding… We may not have much of what is “socially appealing”… But we have love in our hearts. And this is a good feeling! We may not be “wrapped up” in much of this world’s entertainment. But we seek God’s peace and a desire for contentment. We, as a family, have one purpose and “calling” in mind. To seek God’s ways of being merciful and kind… Each day we pray with much thankfulness in our hearts… For this is where happiness and gratitude starts! We’re thankful to the Lord for his unfailing grace… And for keeping us together in this special place… We’re blessed to have a God who is truly worth finding. His word in our lives is precious and worth memorizing! “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it!” God must rule and reign… So his love can completely fill it! A Mother Like No OTher

I sing of a special mother
One like no other
One bothered about another

A mother who smiles and care
One who did nothing but share
It is great to know she is always there

When tear drops she brought a toy
Her whispers sparkles unceasing joy
Her love is stronger than the Helen of Troy

You taught me from wrong to right
You taught me the difference between darkness and light
You taught me to recite the Lord’s Prayer day and night

Envelope yourself in a mothers Love
For she is like an angel from above
Never trade her love for the price of a dove

As we celebrate all mothers in a special way
Thank you for your fidelity, even when we went astray
And above all, thank you for what we are today

He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children.
Praise the LORD! Ps 113:9

Jessica McCord: Selfish Assassin

It was February 2002 (WWF Raw, WWF SmackDown!, and WWF No Way Out), that Jessica McCord and her then-husband, Jeff, killed Alan Bates and his new wife, Terra. Before their deaths, Alan "A.B." was in a custody battle against his ex-wife to have determined who'll have gotten full custody of their two daughters (born in 1990 and '92). The custody hearing might have taken place in November 2001 (WWF Raw, WWF SmackDown!, WWF Rebellion, and WWF Survivor Series), but not until December 2001 (WWF Raw, WWF SmackDown!, and WWF Vengeance), when the lady had spent that time in jail for skipping custody hearings more than twice. It seems that Jessica had disapproved of both of her daughters having the late Terra for their step-mother. the only two things that describes Jessica McCord are selfish and a coward. She selfishly pulled both of her daughters out of their respective schools, she hid them away so that her late ex-husband couldn't gain full access to them, and/or whatever. So, the fact that Jessica McCord had used her own daughters as a pair of pawns as if she's been playing a game of chess had made the late Mr. Bates, the attorneys, and Birmingham Police officers of Birmingham, Alabama, very sick. The lady, Jessica, was afraid that the judge would grant Alan and his new wife, Terra, full custody of the girls, so she and Jeff killed them; thereby dumping both of their bodies in a burned-down car outside Atlanta, Georgia (aka Hotlanta, aka Dirty South, and aka ATL). Jessica McCord may have tried to label her late ex-husband as a bad guy, but no one bought it, not even her in-laws, the prosecutors, and the judge. She knew that she and her husband were going to get caught; they knew it. And where is Jessica McCord as of February 2003 (WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown!, and WWE No Way Out/World Wrestling Entertainment's first 'No Way Out' pay-per-view event, ever)? She's in prison, along with her then-loser husband, Jeff McCord, serving a life sentence in prison with no possibility of parole. Ms. McCord should've gotten the death penalty, but that's the way the law works. And as far as the Bates family, the entire community of Birmingham, and the two daughters are concerned, prison is exactly where they belong. Well, it looks like the ghosts of Alan and Terra Bates will be haunting the two-then McCords for life. Let's hope that the Bates sisters don't suffer the same fate their father and step-mother did. And if I see the Bates sisters in person, there's just no telling.

WHO AM I BY NAME ALONE

written 10th Aug 2013

I am God's child, first and forever
I am known by many different titles, a daughter
I am a wife
I am a mother
I am a grandmother
I am a poet
I am by several ways, known as a sister
I am an acquaintance
I am a loyal friend
I am a stranger
I am a cousin
I am an Auntie
I am a niece
But who is this person, they all call "Denise?"

She is a child to God
She is a niece
She is a cousin
She is a stranger
She is a loyal friend
She is an acquaintance
She is known to many, a sister
She is a poet
She is a grandmother
She is a mother
She is a wife
She is known as a daughter to many
She is everything, she'd ever dreamed her life to be....
She is happier than she ever imagined possible
SHE IS "DENISE"

The Happy Dress

It’s a mother-in-law’s right, her prerogative
To ‘drop in’ on her son almost any time,
But a mother-in-law should always be prepared
For almost anything she may find.

So, Mother Cready dropped in unannounced;
But as she approached her son’s front door,
Suddenly it opened. “Ta Da! Do you like my happy dress?”
His young wife stood there in her ‘all in all’…nothing more.

“Oh, my word!” Mother Cready exclaimed with surprise.
“Why are you naked? Are you insane?”
Just as surprised, the young wife pulled her inside.
“Please, Mother Cready…if you’ll just let me explain.

You see, when Mac has had a rough day,
When he’s been under a lot of stress,
Sometimes I meet him at the door
With a smile and a kiss in my happy dress.

It always relaxes him and makes him happy,
Then he makes me very happy too.
It works for Mac and me, Mother Cready;
Maybe it would work for you.”

“We’re too old for such.” scoffed Mother Cready.
“Perhaps if we were young like the two of you.”
But, on her way home, she decided
She was definitely going to try it too.

So, she bathed and put on some nice perfume,
Fixed her make-up and her hair.
She was thinking some very sexy thoughts,
But she had to hurry…no time to spare.

She heard her husband’s car in the driveway;
And as he approached their front door,
She threw it open. “Ta Da! Do you like my happy dress?"
She stood there in her ‘all in all’…nothing more.

She saw a little grimace cross his face,
But that was not the worst.
Then he said, “I appreciate your happy dress, my dear;
But maybe you should have ironed it first.”

ALTERNATE LAST VERSE

“Well…your ‘happy dress’ could use some ironing;
But my birthday suit could use some starch.”
He kissed her. “Bet you and I can work it out.”;
And off to bed they marched.

Mother

She is strong but also weak
with that beautiful smile
so graceful and meek
Her touch is soft
and her words ever so sweet
Never a dull moment
always bright and sometimes lenient
with a positive outlook
even when it's clearly out of the books
She wipes the tears, and forces the smiles
touches the heart
and never you dare cross her child
Mother, Mama, Mom, Mommy
the many names that she goes by
All quite fitting for the warrior inside
with the love giving and super healing ways
she never makes a mistake
Even when you thought she was wrong
give it a day and you'll realize exactly what she was trying to say all along ( you soon realize she was right all along)
She is the all knowing, all loving, super talented and magical gift from the God above

Values Examined At Divorce

Mother of Pearl.
Sand slipped inside a shell.
Seagull's morning feast.

There once was a father who wanted time and space
There once was a woman who ran a race.
The children were grown.
Their pockets were blown.
So one retired and the other became an ace.

There's two sides to every story, personal answers within.
Judgment of each awaits God, or those who haven't ever sinned.

A Story My Mother Told Me

someone always told me this with tears in her eyes...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

a wife left South Africa in the 1960’s to join her husband
who was in exile at the time...

in 1970 the husband was sent by the African National Congress to India to be its representative there...

the husband and wife spent two years in Bombay...

one afternoon the husband fell and broke his leg...

the wife knocked on their neighbour’s door, in an apartment complex in Bombay

the neighbour was an old Punjabi lady...

the wife asked the neighbour for a doctor to see to the injured husband...

a Parsi ‘Bone-Setter’ was promptly summoned...

the husband still recalls his anxiety of seeing ‘Bone-Setter’ written on the Parsi gentleman’s bag...

by the way, the ‘Bone-Setter’ worked his ancient craft and surprisingly for the husband, his broken leg healed quite soon...

but still on that day, while the ‘Bone-Setter’ was seeing to the husband...

the wife and the old Punjabi lady from next door got to talking about this and that and where these new Indian-looking wife and husband were from as their accents were clearly not local...

the wife told the elderly Punjabi lady that the husband worked for the African National Congress of South Africa and had left to serve the ANC from exile...

and that they had left their two children behind in South Africa and that they were now essentially political refugees...

the Punjabi lady broke down and wept uncontrollably...

she told the foreign woman that she too had had to leave her home in Lahore in 1947 and flee to India with only the clothes on her back when the partition of the subcontinent took place and Pakistan was formed and at a time when Hindus from Pakistan fled to India and vice versa...

the Punjabi lady then asked the foreign woman her name...

‘Zubeida’, but you can call me ‘Zubie’...

the Punjabi woman hugged Zubie some more, and the two women, seperated by age and geography, wept, sharing a shared pain...

the Punjabi woman told Zubie that she was her ‘sister’ from that day on, and that she felt that pain of exile and forced migration and what being a refugee felt like...

Zubie and her husband Mosie became the closest of friends with the Hindu Punjabi neighbours who were kicked out of Pakistan by Muslims...

then came the time for Mosie and Zubie to leave for Delhi where the African National Congress office was based...

the elderly Punjabi lady and Mosie and Zubie said their goodbyes...

a year or two later, the elderly Punjabi lady’s daughter Lata married Ravi Sethi and the couple moved to Delhi...

the elderly Punjabi lady called Zubie and told her that her daughter was coming to Delhi to live and that she had told Lata, her daughter that she had a ‘sister’ in Delhi...

Lata and Ravi Sethi then moved to Delhi...

This was in the mid-1970’s...

Lata and Zubie became the closest of friends and that bond stayed true, and stays true till today, though Zubie is no more, and the elderly Punjabi lady is no more...

the son and the husband still have a bond with Lata and Ravi Sethi...

a bond that was forged between Hindu and Muslim and between two continents across the barriers of creed and time...

a bond strong and resilient, forged by the pain and trauma of a shared experience...

and that is why, and I shall never stop believing this, that hope shines still, for with all the talk of this and of that, and of that and of this, there will always be a simple woman, somewhere, anywhere, who would take the ‘other’ in as a sister, a fellow human...

and that is why there will always be hope...
hope in the midst of this and of that and of that and of this...

hope...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

The Women

The Women

(for the countless women, names unknown, who bore the brunt of Apartheid, and who fought the racist system at great cost to themselves and their families, and for my mother, Zubeida Moolla)

Pregnant, your husband on the run,
your daughter, a child, a few years old,

they hauled you in, these brutish men,
into the bowels of Apartheid's racist hell.

They wanted information, you gave them nothing,
these savage men, who skin happened to be lighter,

and white was right in South Africa back then,

but, you did not cower, you stood resolute,

you, my mother, faced them down, their power,
their 'racial superiority', their taunts, their threats.

You, my mother, would not, could not break,

You stood firm, you stood tall.

You, like the countless mothers did not break, did not fall.

You told me many things, of the pains, the struggles,

the scraping for scraps, the desolation of separation
from your beloved Tasneem and your beloved Azad,

my elder sister and brother, whom I could not grow
up with, your beloved children separated by time, by place,

by monstrous Apartheid, by brutish men,
whose skin just happened to be lighter.

You told me many things, as I grew older,
of the years in exile, of the winters that grew ever colder.

You were a fighter, for a just cause,
like countless other South African women,

you sacrificed much, you suffered the pangs,
of memories that cut into your bone, your marrow,

you resisted a system, an ideology, brutal and callous and narrow.

Yes, you lived to see freedom arrive, yet you suffered still,
a family torn apart, and struggling to rebuild a life,

all the while, nursing a void, that nothing could ever fill.

I salute you, mother, as I salute the nameless mothers,

the countless sisters, daughters, women of this land,
who fought, sacrificing it all for taking a moral stand.

I salute you, my mother, and though you have passed,
your body interred in your beloved South African soil,

you shall remain, within me, an ever-present reminder,

of the cost of freedom, the struggles, the hunger, the toil.

I salute you!

(for the brave women of South Africa, of all colours,
who fought against racial discrimination and Apartheid)

I Hate Aunt Floe

NOTE: This poem is a humoruos stab at PMS from a mans point of view

I can see your blood boiling
through the blades I once called eyes,
they were once beautiful like jewels
now they hurt my deep insides.
cutting at my guts
and like a noose on my  lungs;
your words seek like bullets
your mouth like sniper guns.
I’m hit with each inaccuracy…
Being killed by words untrue;
and you even got the nerve
to tell me what you think I do.
But let me get mad
and try to plead my case;
then suddenly the world
is a f--ked up place.
You got tears running down…
What the Hell did I do?
We were just sitting and laughing
I could swear that we were cool.
Oh God…
Oh no…;
I should have seen it…
It’s Aunt Floe…,
This battle can’t be won or reasoned
I think its best I go.
Cause I hate Aunt Floe
and she hate me too;
she sit and talk sh-t
about the gum I chew.
The color of my shirt…,
She say my look is a stair;
She say my best has no worth
And she doesn’t stop there.
I didn’t change
I’ve been the same
these 28 days,
 but now I’m f_ckin A__hole
Aunt Floe gave me that name.
She said get out my face
This aint your home no more,
But I’m more puzzled by
What was said before.
I love you
With her glossy eyes
I knew it was true,
But horribly sly
You see these words
make me the fool.
The one that’s cruel
That a__hole dude,
That sparked the fuel
To this f__kin feud.
But I swear to God
I didn’t start this sh_t,
Why would I give up my love
To live my life like in a pit.
 This is horrible sh_t
Wasted days spent,
On nothing but the worst
I could be bathed in your sent.
You could be laughing
While I’m smiling
But Aunt Floe Won’t let this be,
And the only way to make this right
Is hold my tongue a week.
And that ain’t gone happen
I’m a person too,
Not soft
But I got feelins
and don’t know what to do.
Now its been six days
Unbelievable rage,
She locked herself
In the room
I call it her cage.
I smell a sent in the air
It wasn’t there before,
Now lookin down the hall
I see an open door.
Is this a trap
I’ll guess I’ll see,
If I fall for another
You know that’s dumb ass me.
Curled in the bed
I think I know that girl,
But where’s the hells Aunt Floe
The one that f__ked my world.
She packed up and gone
Didn’t even say good bye,
Just came wit gang of bullsh_t
And vanished in the sky.
Is that you my dear
Can you please come here,
Listen close and crystal clear…
I hate Aunt Floe
 Next time she here
Make sure I’m stocked
with weed and beer.
I love you punk. ?

My Weakness made perfect

As we have all come to know and accept
That within certain parameters we find ourselves trapped
It’s either you’re stuck with wearing pants to rule and impress
Or socially considered inferior and wearing a dress
Well, I for one, fortunately belong to the latter
However, at the excruciating sensation of being perpetually overlooked, I shudder

For I know my worth exceeds that of just another fine lady
A woman who ignores harsh Reality and hides behind a smile, looking dandy
A conformist, being looked down on by what is called a man
So from this awkward position of helplessness, to remove myself without delay is my plan
This feeling of constantly being emotionally and socially dormant
Exhausts me – utterly drains my energy, to be used as a dusty doormat

Then carelessly, I am cast into a sea of vulnerability
Viewed by society as a mere object of instability
I, being of greater value, will remove myself from behind Male’s shadow
For I refuse, the social norm of this world, to follow
Even though seen as nothing, for myself I have respect
And to the world, my greatest strengths I shall reflect

Because I possess rare beauty that goes deeper than the skin
So onto my strengths, I shall trustingly lean
Where man exhibits his pompous ways I humbly outshine
For I am a woman of worth and that, the beauty in me shall always define
As a woman, I am made perfect in my weakness
For I thrive, where man tries his best to impress

My Darling Girl, My Black-Eyed Susan

My Darling Girl,

your big dark eyes met mine

against your pale skin and yellow hair

this name sang in my heart, Susan,

my Black-Eyed Susan.

A wild flower you’ll be, you’ll be a

kind friend,

loving wife,

strong mother,

sweet grandmother

and always you’ll be

my darling girl, my Black-Eyed Susan

THE HOUSEWIFE'S LAMENT

It's not easy to live with every day problems,
Especially when someone expects you to solve them,

The minute that trouble has raised up it's head,
And balance the budget and make home made bread;

And making and keeping appointments and errands,
While setting a shining example as parents.

Sometimes I just wish I could go back to bed,
And dream a sweet dream and wake up instead,

To find I can take a day off to relax,
Perhaps read a book and not feel so taxed;

'Cause the house work will be there tomorrow for sure,
And I don't have to worry, my job is secure.

Who'd want all the worry I have all the time?
It's no bed of roses, no sweet dream sublime;

For I am a homemaker, nanny and nurse;
The one they all turn to for better or worse.

This is my castle and I am it's queen,
And I wouldn't trade it for anything.

(It's the most thankless job in the world --- or is it.)

A Very Inviting Temptation

A Very Inviting Temptation! I remember of a particular situation. I was offered a very "inviting" temptation. The situation I was in... I didn't belong! And lost any sense of "right and wrong." At first... I felt no guilt or shame. And brought embarrassment to my family's name. I tried to explain this to my wife and kids. I heard; "Dad... please... no more fibs!" The Godly principles were "tossed to the side," As the sin inside caused arrogance and pride. Soon, all in my life that truly mattered... Was gone! My life was empty and shattered! I was sorry for all of the problems I caused! This time... I took a moment to pause. I cried to God to rescue me from my sin. I confessed! Would God help me once again? I read in the Bible of Jesus’ grace and love! This time the help I needed had to come from above! I asked him for a fresh and brand new start. He removed the stain from a broken heart. He restored to me the joy I once had. I'm so blessed! Jesus has made me glad! Jesus is the reason I'm here today! I LOVE HIM more than words can say! By Jim Pemberton

WORLD WITHOUT WOMEN www

Have you ever imagined the world we live without women?
It is like a lung without some oxygen, agonizing and inevitably dead,
A face never with a smile, boring and unfriendly.
A cup of tea without some grains of sugar, bitter and foul,
A pool without some water, dry and empty,
A good ride on a bad untilled road, rough and uninteresting,
The earth without some drops of rain, an inescapable famine,

But how come with the great number of women on planet earth?
We still live to cry as a reggae legend sang “no woman no cry”,
It is because they permit evil as much as they permit good,
Gullible and instrumental in the hand of the wicked ones,
Ugly and nice, beautiful and dangerous,
Cunning like serpents, deceitful like chameleon,
Holy but liars, having a form of godliness but highly ungodly,
Lovely like little puppies, sweet like bees honey,
Women, an invincible force in our our world today.

No Job Can't Pay the Bills TRY JESUS

Here I sit, uncertain of what lies ahead.
I’m still wondering how my family will be fed.

I once had a job that provided a sense of “security.”
Now I don’t… And I have a lot of uncertainty!

I have unpaid bills, and I’m not sure what to do.
I’ve asked for help. But not sure who to turn to!

I get discouraged, and feel life “pulling me down.”
I’ve tried just about every job that’s in town.

The dreams I had, have been shattered and smashed.
At times, I feel like I’m just “a piece of trash.”

My wife tried to support me, the best that she can.
But she doesn’t know me… Or even understands!

Dear Jesus… You’re the only left that I haven’t tried.
There’s been many nights I laid awake and cried!

I read in the Bible, where your love for me is real!
When I call on your name... There’s a love I can feel!

Whatever happens, please help me Lord, to trust you!
Whatever tomorrow holds, may I still love you!

I know that you’re a foundation, that I can stand on!
Jesus is a friend! That I can always depend on!

Jesus, if I lose everything that I have or that I hold on to...
My I always remember your faithfulness
 and never forget you!

Here I stand… With my burdens lifted from me!
It’s because of Jesus! And how much he loves me!

I praise HIS name! And lift my hands to the sky!
He’s in control now! I don’t have to ask the reason why!

Jesus… Please take control of my worries and desires!
Above all of my problems, I lift your name up higher!

Boo

"This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called woman because she
was taken out of man."
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave onto his wife and
they shall be one flesh."
(genesis chapter 2 verses 23 & 24)

One flesh, one bone, all one body and soul,
onto our lives it is now just you and I, my wife.

All my pride comes from you, boo.
You complete me!!

Baby, we are meant to reach the heavens together.
Meant to hold our vows well onto our spiritual journey.

Spread your canvas let me paint our love,
open your mind, what I know is not enough.

Everlasting devotion, is the meat of my vow.
I'm am yours for eternity, if you'll allow

Long walks on the beach, our picnic under the willow tree.
You're the inspiration behind so much of my poetry.

" And Adam called his wife Eve because she was the mother of all the living."

Romancing Distant Moments

Romancing Distant Moments

I am romancing with distant moments
Distance, I keep trying to connect by dreaming
In a time difference, so hard to get a full time so meant
For my child and wife, I longed for reaching

God is so kind bestowing us a child
As we never thought we could have at least one
The passing of time charmed and leave us beguiled
But in prayers, answered us by granting us a son

We gave him a Christian name Pio Noel
Derived from the name of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina
And Noel from my name, a kind idea of my wife Cecille
A name he will carry as his insignia

I listened to their voice over the cell phone
Or watched their videos, I took during my last vacation
Still longing for more moments of them to be shown
To alter depression with deep sign of elation

Through messages, I cherish the distant moments
As my wife will relay to me my child’s notable deeds
As I record every details on my diary as my attunement
Of his daily childish act finely registered on my head

For a picture of table, Pio tells ‘it is table’
For a picture of chair, Pio tells ‘it is sit’
My wife will not dare to show him that it is laughable
But gave him a nice lecture to improve his wit

Whenever he sees his grandfather with fellow friends
He will run to them and kiss their hands as a sign of respect
An instance, my wife eagerly drew a rabbit using a crayon pen
And hardly could be identified as rabbit, but Pio proudly said ‘rabbit’ in all aspect
(My wife kissed him and said ‘Pio you are very clever because even though my drawing is
hardly could be noticed as rabbit but still you interpreted it very well’)

At the age of 1 year and 6 months, Pio knows how to save money
Upon seeing coins inside my wife’s bag, he got this in his hand
And pointed into small piggy bank and dropped in the coins so eagerly
Dirty clothes out of the basket, he willingly put this back without a command

Every time my wife’s cell phone will beep or ring
Pio immediately bring this to my wife and tell her that father text
Pio is fond of watching television and get a chance to lip-sync
He enjoyed for someone blowing on his tummy and find his mother to play suplex

Upon entering our room, Pio will point to our family picture
And loudly will recite ‘this is Pio, mother and father’
Every distant moments of them, I need to capture
While away, I am romancing distant moments sweeter but farther

Female Companion

                                                     She is so typical
                                                           So critical
                                                   For most part difficult

I never really could grasp her in such way
She just wants me to some how stay
She comes to my man cave and makes me obey

Shy she was and now I am scared
In such way I almost cared
She thinks she can do everything for me I swear

She makes me guess everyday but I keep on believing
Because it is fun to give her a kiss, while she does not know when she is sleeping
She stresses out but I will tell her my love for her keeps deepening

So for the most part I just keep her close to make her smile and me
When I do things I do it for her it is always a key
Call me romantic or call me stupefied, but it makes her so, so, sooo, happy

A New Beginning

Here’s to new beginnings,
And what this year will bring;
A fun filled year of passion,
And our baby in the spring;

A new life in our arms,
Our prospects look so bright;
Just thinking of our future,
Fills me with delight;

I can not wait to hold him,
And watch the wonder in his eyes;
As each an every second,
Fills him with surprise;

He is the new beginning,
To the life that we’ve begun;
And a happy home in which,
We welcome our new son.

I had sex with my mother-in-law

(This is a fictional poem)

When she turned on the lights, I screamed and screamed.
I pinched myself because I was hoping it was all just a dream.
It was the most horrible thing I ever saw.
I had sex with my mother-in-law.
She was in the bed that my wife and I slept in.
Now I'm so turned off by sex that I may never get horny again.
While touching her breasts, I thought it was odd because they were wrinkled and
seemed to sag.
I nearly died of heart failure when I saw who I shagged.
I can't get the vision of that gray hair, wrinkled skin and false teeth out of my mind.
But what bothers me the most is that I squeezed that prune shaped behind.
My wife started insisting that the three of us have a menage a trois.
I said not with my mother-in-law.
My wife said she'd leave me if I didn't stop saying no.
I pointed toward the door and I said go.

What I Look For In A Home

I’m sure that home to many has a different meaning. It depends what kind of life they’ve been receiving. There are those with memories of hurt and pain. Some may not want to mention their families name. Others have childhood memories they are fond of. They may have a family that they’re proud of! I think that in many cases, home is not what people see. It has a lot of importance. Both to you and me! What home means to me is to have our family together. And ask the Lord to bless it, with his love forever! God gave me a wife and children to take care of. May I not do things that I’d be ashamed of! I invite YOU Jesus, to be the head of our home! May we come together as a family, around your throne! May our family serve one another as we should. May the truths of God’s word be applied and understood! May the Lord help us to get along, with our imperfections. May God’s word be our “road map,” for needed direction! There’s no perfect home. Believe me! I know it! When it comes to family time… We all need to show it! Unless the lord builds the home… They labor in vain that build it! Let’s seek God’s blessing! So his love can completely fill it! Please come Jesus! And fill our home today! May our home be honored by what we do and say! By Jim Pemberton

The soul of the Crab

The soul of the crab

Oh how she hides behind that shell
Lets no one see her feelings
She’s practical in everything
But those feelings have her reeling
She’s sensitive, and hurt easy
And her moods they be so many
And yet she has not one bad bone
Malice, she has not any.

She be the one for queen and country
Digs into history
She’s always loyal to her kin
She loves her family
She’ll protect them with her life
Don’t no one touch her man!!!
She has a brilliant memory
And she’ll get you when she can.

Her mother, she loves very much
But her children more than that
Wherever there be family
That’s where she would be at
And how she loves to entertain
And cook delicious food
And always she will be a mother
In her heart will be her brood

America Is Being DESTROYED From Within

As sin and perversion often become integrated… So many lives and families are being “disintegrated.” Many are being driven by sin’s temptation force… It’s no wonder much of this country is way “off course.” The morality and values that once made a great nation. Are evaporating…. Leading to a “spiritual separation.” Love, honor, and respect of God… Is often a “thing of the past.” Anything of God seems to be disappearing FAST! God is our only hope! And him alone! Only he can bring healing to our broken homes! He’s the answer to this wounded nation, that bleeds! It’s only God that can meet all of our needs! He’s our provider… The great: “I am!” Won’t you reach out to him? And give him your hand? Why not give him a chance? And allow him in? A brand new life for you… Is waiting to begin! May we allow God’s holiness and love to reach down into our hearts… Asking; “Lord please forgive our sins!” Is a good place to start! By Jim Pemberton

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.
Nevermore.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.
Forever.

Missing You

Missing you is like feelings of thee morning dew. The very first time I glanced at you, something like a widow a woman that husband has died. Wishing we had just a little more time. Wishful thinking believing everything you ever said was true shows how bad I want to be with you. Reminiscing over here dwelling on the past, indicating a desire of admiration I grasp. Adoration and appreciation is what I feel for you, longing suffering missing and enduring the lost just to speak to you. From morning till midnight, sunset to sunrise moving into the afternoon time I’m missing you. Arousing emotional response in motion missing you is my religion. My system of belief, therefor you’re an apostle sent by Christ making me a flock of one in your missionary. Leaving me with anxiety and tension I stay missing. Impatient for your fulfillment, missing you is an addiction and psychological dependence. Needing to see you even for a minute, in a recession I remain unchanged retain missing you.

Everything she goes through in life is a lesson
Her beauty is of essence such as her presence
Full of integrity, compassion, and optimistic guessing
The courage that she brings
Screams a strong woman destined
With the passion of a soldier at war
She is honorable, respectful, worthy and more

Jesus My Life Is One HUGE Embarrassment

For many years... My life has been an embarrassment! Filled with hopelessness and discouragement! Many things I thought I had enjoyed... Have left in me... A large and empty void! Many nights, I would cry myself to sleep. Knowing the hole my life was in, was very, very deep. Then one day, I called out to God! I wasn’t sure if he’d listen! My family, my old church, I was now missin'. My family prayed for me for so many years. I often brought them embarrassment and tears. God... I tried everything else... I want to come back to you! I need you now Jesus! I really do! Please come into my heart, and cleanse me within! Set me free from all addictions and sin! I know that you will never let go of my hand. My whole life, on your word, I shall now stand. Only you can satisfy the emptiness in my soul! I am now complete, satisfied, and made whole! By Jim Pemberton

The Ugliness Of Divorce

My parents taught me the Christian ways.
I was taught to obey what the Bible says.

I was proud of my parents! I really was!
And loved them so much… Just because!

They meant everything to me! I was proud!
Until one day... There appeared “a dark cloud.”

It was like a “darkness” hovered above.
Leaving their marriage empty of needed love!

Though they were together many years.
There were many cracks that soon appeared.

I say a once happy home soon destroyed.
Being with one another…. They no longer enjoyed!

How could this happen! I had wondered…
To see a happy marriage “totally plundered

As sin crept in... And allowed to prevail.
Very soon this marriage simply failed.

May this be a warning for me and you…
That our commitment remains faithful and true!

If your marriage is heading toward separation…
Please seek God for a healing and restoration!

If your planning to have a divorce..
Jesus’ love can put it on the right course!

He can replace the brokenness and hurt within..
And can put your lives back together AGAIN!

A Perfect Day

I sink into the steaming bath and soak my cares away,
A glass of wine to cure the pain the damp brought on today;

No screaming son to demand my time, today is just for me,
A book is all I need to be as content as I can be;

I call the local pizza place as the water cools and bubbles fade,
I order up a large for me and hope it’s not delayed;

Soon the delivery man is on his way with a heavenly pizza pie;
And I intend to enjoy every slice, just me, myself and I;

The rain is coming down in torrents as I snuggle up on the couch;
I slowly start feeling more like me, instead of Oscar the Grouch;

I turn on my favorite movie, the one I’ve seen a thousand times;
I enjoy every second as I relax, feeling sublime;

My family will be home soon and their needs I’ll have to tend;
The sun sinks lower in the sky, as my perfect day draws to an end.

Modern Day Slave ( Wife and Mother )

Modern Day Slave ( Wife and Mother )

Not one single holiday
Three years have gone their way
Cleaning house
Changing diapers
Preparing meals
That are eaten in minutes

Not one single holiday
Four walls the only room to play
Ironing shirts
Washing clothes
Cleaning dishes
That get messed up every day

No
Not one single holiday
Mother’s life is meant to be this way
Surgical implant for the kitchen sink
She isn’t even allowed to think

While husband goes out on his hunt
Husband goes out for a beer
And eyes the other women who are there
Not for one minute does he think
Of the person at exhaustions brink

Robot wife she stays at home
Robot wife in her prison
Not one day off in 1095 days
Just a nigger
Just a slave

But mother hood was meant to be this way
Husband goes out earns the wage
Comes home tired and wants to rest
Complains that wife has not done her best

She hasn’t the strength to argue back
And she should be grateful
There is no lack
Diapers are always replete
There is always enough to eat
Husband has done his job
Full time employment
Is his choice

But wife and mother she stays at home
Constantly on holiday
What holiday does she need
And we won’t mention driver fatigue

She takes all the responsibility
In bringing up their child
Husband never changes a single diaper
All he has to do is yell at her

Not one day off in 1095 days
Just a nigger
Just a slave
Never falls asleep at the wheel
But its ok she doesn’t even feel

Husband goes out to see his friends
Husband goes off on weekends
Husband never stays at home
Or lets his wife go out on her own
Husband is happy with his slave
Mother hood was meant to be this way
Working every day

House is spotless
House is clean
Husband has no reason to complain
Unpaid worker she stays at home
Gets her meals
And gets her roof
And does everything on her own

Happy day for husband today
He gets the chance to go away
Maybe some pretty girls will be there
So he can stand and stare
He’s so fed up of the tired dishevelled one
He finds at home
When and if he is ever there

Three years without a holiday
Does the law of Human Rights say its ok
To be treated like a nigger
An unpaid mother
House maid
Like a slave

Another stuffed dead head
Above the fire place

What is it when?

What is it when your heart is filled with joy?
What is it when your soul sings for another?
What is it when you begin to truly cherish someone?
What is it when life seems so much easier?
What is it when you begin to share internal thoughts with another?
What is it when your eyes connect and express your thoughts without uttering a word?
What is it when you are automatically drawn to a person?
What is it when you find it hard not to think of someone throughout the day?
What is it when you change the routine of your day for someone?
What is it when little things become big things?
What is it when everytime your clock ticks you think of someone?
What is it when you sit and stare at pictures for no reason at all?
What is it when you begin to ignore that person imperfections?
What is it when you begin to yearn and crave for someone?
What is it when the feeling of being apart for more than an hour is devestating?
What is it when you find yourself making breakfast and you don't cook?
What is it when you find yourself doing things out of the ordinary for another?
What is it when you find yourself looking in the mirror just a little bit longer?
What is it when you discover that life is so much better with this person?
What is it when you feel like you are on top of the highest mountain?
What is it when you feel like the ocean is so much calmer with this person?
What is it when the phone rings and you are hoping it's that special person?
What is it when you find yourself giving without a care in the world?
The answer is SIMPLY LOVE!!!!!

THE LABOR BALLAD

The long awaited day now comes,
With cries along with bells and drums,
Her belly throbbing, spinning-chair,
For birth, for labor they prepare.

There lots of people shouting names
And nurses playing trolley games,
The doctor came as water broke
'To labor room', the sisters spoke.

The cries were roaring piercing ears,
The friends were filling, hopes and fears,
They rise their hands and ask to god,
To ease her pain while crying odd.

The labor room was quite something,
And doctors wearing apron string,
The beds were crowded lights were dim,
But doctor peeps and makes a grim.

The nurse then speaks 'the time ain't right'.
But patient's pain was total fright,
Again the doctor comes and peep,
To see the cervix while she weep.

The legs were wide the lights were bright,
The cervix ripe and pain was right,
She holds the edge while pushing hard,
And doctor waiting, taking guard.

The hair is seen and doctors smile,
The time is wrote on nurses file,
The head is out, the shoulder's out,
The boy is out, the sisters shout.

With cheer-some tears, she sees her son,
The faces bright, the pain was done,
The heart is blown, the sheets are thrown,
The drinks are served, and heavens shown.

The grandpa born, and grandma's dove,
The husband takes the boy with love,
The joyful kiss on tiny feet.
While sweets are served in blissful heat.

The car arrives to take her back
The kins then walk as wolfs in pack,
But cries are heard in labor room,
With smiling faces, lilies bloom.

Through A Prison Glass

You came unexpectedly, and i was surprised,
you smiled and placed your hand on the glass and cried.
I leaned my head against the glass and told you i am sorry,
i whisper through the phone line, ill start a new story.

You knew i was innocent but you still didn't believe me,
the only person i thought that would stay by my side but you couldn't be.
Mom standing by your side and not wanting to talk,
i got really upset that you came at all cause i didn't want to see you walk.

I needed you, when i was in need,
i was there for you when ever you didn't want to bleed.
I loved you and i cherished you with all my heart,
but before you left your words hit me like a really sharp dart.

You said i failed you,
you cried to me and i knew it was true.
But i needed you to understand me,
but you went your way and upset me.

The glass is now empty and i cant find you even with the fact that I'm out,
i tell you i love you but all you do is shout.
I've lost you for good this time,
so i think i have to do one more crime.

One Billion Rising

Today we rise.

No more hiding in the shadows,

of culture,
creed,
tradition.

No more silent complicity,

defensive arguments,
sickening pretences,
shabby excuses,

for the actions of men,

brutal and coarse and vulgar and obscene and murderous and abusive.

Today, we rise,

as one.

Today the change starts,

with me,
within me.

Today we rise.

The Most Beautiful Woman

She does not own the perfect vital statistics,
nor has a pointed nose, the shiniest hair.
She is not as gorgeous as Miss Universe,
But the world's turning because of her.
Her hands are not as soft as cotton,
Her skin is not as smooth as silk.
She is not the hottest girl in a magazine.
The girl that drives you to heaven.
Her lips aren't like as Angelina Jolly,
But has a power to send you in bliss.
She is an extraordinary woman...
She is your wife....
Love her with all your heart.
Show her the beauty she owns inside.
For she's the most beautiful woman,
A mother of your child.

My tongue
has no more blood;

I have bitten my tongue
so long
my message deflates beneath.

The Women

We laugh and cry. We smile and have fun
But even when that is all said and done
In our hearts still lie the sadness and woes
I guess our brains are too slow to know

No amount of cheer can hold back what we feel
With our souls overwhelmed we each find our way to deal
Whether in anger or anxiety, in guarded fear or open minds
We know that they are with us, in front and behind

As birds of a feather we are drawn together
Each carrying with us a pain that binds forever
We have become so much more than simply friends
The strength that we carry in us will always mend

Our broken hearts and tradgic tales
The hardships we have endured will make us prevail
We are the women that we are today
Because we let no limits hold us at bay.

Written on the 11th of September as proof of the strength that I see everyday not just in my family and friends but in women everywhere. Not to be cliched but I truely believe that the ones I wrote this for are amazing women that I cherish very much and I hope you can feel it too :)

If You Were

If you were a penny, I’d keep you in my front pocket every day.
I’d shine and cleanse you daily, washing all troubles and woes away.
If you were a diamond ring, on my finger is where you’d stay.
I’d shine the stone feverishly, parting all frets and worries astray.

If you were a novel, I’d place you at the very front of the shelf,
I’d tear out the pages of misery, and swallow the depression myself.
If you were as free as a butterfly, I’d cup you within my hands.
I’d whisper all my secrets, then release you from all commands.

If you were a painting, I’d pose you directly over so all could see,
I’d dust away the tears and guilt, inhaling the particles inside of me.
If you were a bronze statue, I would polish you until you shined.
I’d scour away the torment, and any melancholy I should find.

If you were a flower, I’d pluck the petals of bane from your life,
I’d water and feed you frequently, nourishing the roots of strife.
If you were an eagle, I’d admire your rare beauty from above,
I’d watch you slowly soar into the horizon, taking with you,
my heart, my soul and love.

A Box of Hope and Dreams

I keep my dreams and aspirations,
stored away neatly in this box.
Tied off with a pretty pink ribbon,
secured tightly with key and lock.

And every time I feel like a failure,
I open it, so I can again feel alive.
Arms of dreams tightly surround me,
giving me strength I need to survive.

I’ve hidden this box in a secret place,
where I’m the only who can see.
A beautiful box of hopes and dreams,
finely sewn with love at the seams.

This box is opened quite frequently,
especially when we’re apart –
this rhetorical box of memories,
in perfect synch with each beat of my heart

Gothic Mother's Day Poem

Your beauty is a ripe and full
as the moon in view
so many tried to compete but there
talents were to few
for the mother that you are
is a hard act to follow
the love that you bring
voids the hollow
for our child's life is vibrant
due to your generous amount of love
so happy mother's babe
for you have to give you already gave.

Never Thought It Would Happen

We began so little and young,
Life beat us bad and twisted our tongue.
You and I walked a pretty rough road I can say
When you stumbled I was always there to make you stay.

Stay and not give up, I didn't give up on you than, so I wont give up on you now,
We danced our life so brutally and softly, but this time you didn't look my way and bounced.
I thought we would go on like this forever, but I guess like people say,
Nothing lasts forever.

I was Beautifully And Wonderfully Made

I was beautifully designed and wonderfully made… There’s nothing that God has given to me that I would ever trade! I was fashioned and created by God… With one thing in mind. To be an image of HIM… In a body by his design! He fashioned and formed me with the dust of the ground... He gave me his love. It ‘s all around! Though there are imperfections and “inflictions” within… God is patient and willing to forgive my every sin! Through life… I’ll endure trials, heartache and despair... God is with me... He’s always there! I know that his son, Jesus… Has given me his grace. He has provided for my life… “A resting place…” I’m going to serve this God… Whom I love so much! How I long for his presence… His “special touch…” Thank you God... For a “new” person you’re helping me to be! And may your light continue to shine through people like me! By Jim Pemberton When I'm going through a discouraging time... This poem reminds me of how special that I am to God!

I Knew Someone Who Wanted to End It All

I Knew Someone Who Was Ready to “End It All!” I knew of someone who just wanted “to end it.” Giving up on life, and did not want to “defend it.” It was a heart wrenching and difficult situation. He said what he wanted to, with no explanation! I could see his face and the sad look in his eyes! What he was going to do next, was anyone’s surprise. He turned to drugs and encountered addictions. With this brought much disease and afflictions! He gave up on the wonderful family that was given. And turned to a pretty wild and crazy way of livin’! I told him about a God who loves him very deeply. As he listened, he began to grow restless and weary. I reached for his hand and began to pray for God’s power! It was a miracle! The blood of Jesus changed him that hour! The spirit of God brought healing and hope to his body! He was so excited! He rushed out to tell everybody! The “end” that he wanted, seemed to just fade away! For the son of the living God, changed him this day! The glory of God, and the power of Jesus’ resurrection… Changed him! And got him going in a NEW direction! He’s so thankful for the blood of Christ’ atonement! And is a different person now, because of that moment! This same Jesus loves and can do the same for YOU! Through the problems of life… He will see you through! By Jim Pemberton

Held Accountable-

It was my mother who nurtured me as a boy and showed me what I would see in a good
wife, but it was my father that groomed me to be a good man and provider for my wife and
family. Once my mother and fathers work was done, my God then lead me to my wife and it
was his inspired word that held me accountable to my vows to her until he calls me home.

The Way Towards Great Hope

Prayer gift of the Spirit
Makes us men and women of hope
Prayer keeps the world
Open to Eternal God

To pray alone is good
Even more beautiful
Fruitful
To pray together

Many ways to become acquainted to Him
There are experiences, groups
Encounters, Courses
To pray

Take part of parish liturgies
Be abundantly nourished by the word of Eternal God
With active participation
In the Sacraments

The baptized
Confirmed by the Eternal Holy Spirit
The Holy Eucharist, communion
So as to live as authentic friends and witnesses of Father Christ

Elvis

Elvis.

Oh Elvis you were handsome, big and grand
At times folk found you hard to understand.
And life for you so quickly it did move
My friend it seems you had so much to prove.
You gave the world the power of your song
And your bonding with your mother was so strong.

Religion it was strong within your Psyche
To sing those spirituals you really liked.
Your mind at times was battered and so bruised
And times you seemed all mixed up and confused.
An enigma, you so different in your ways
You really brought some colour to our days.

You sang your songs, you made it to the top
In spite of this your troubles did not stop
As that greedy man he pushed you all the way
And kept you down and always had last say
Yes you were such an asset to this man
As you sang and made him rich it worked to plan.

When fame and fortune took you by the hand
It seemed you had the world at your command.
And then you lost the women in your life
Your mother and your daughter and your wife
Oh Lord it left you cold and oh so sad
And though you had so much your life turned bad.

And so you killed yourself with your bad ways
Cause joy was never there to fill your days.
I hope you’ve found some peace now where you are
Even though you be no more a star.
Elvis how your name just lingers on
As still the world gets lost within your songs

The Gracious Woman

The gracious woman is hated
She is not overrated but such a natural one
Morals and values dictated
Through her trials and tribulations her smiles stun
Family and friends created
Stay optimistic throughout the long run
The woman is so courageous
A strong heart is number one
She seems to be contagious
Her relationships are always undone
Her worthiness is outrageous
To find another is dreadful
To lose her is regretful
A woman of this caliber is so special

beware there in

Dad heard a scream from up stairs,
He ran to his son’s rescue and found him in tears.
“What’s the matter son?” Dad gently said,
There’s, there’s a monster in the bathroom and I’m really scared.

“It’s lumpy and hairy with a warts on it legs,”
“And on it’s chest it has what looks like two scrambled eggs”
“It’s belly hangs all the way down to it’s knees
“Daddy, daddy, protect me please!”

“It knows my name, it, it said it through a toothless grin,”
“It’s face is vomit green.”
“Enough,” said Dad smiling, “There’s no such thing.”
A rumbling noise came from the bathroom.
Go see Dad but come back soon.

Dad stood by the bathroom door for a while be fore he went in
And when he opened it his terrified son heard dad scream.
The monster had a huge wart on it’s bum
That's when dad recognized it and said “ Son needs therapy now How could you mum”

Bells and Cries

A lovely lady;
Growing inside, a new life.
A man in a tux.

Another bell rings now.
Final grades, balanced college offers,
Off to another adventure.

Damp ground, headstones.
Growing inside, a new life,
Done with their adventures.

Patradoot or The Messenger 26/Many

Patradoot or The Messenger26 /Many

English version by Ravindra K Kapoor
Originally written in Hindi by my

These Indian women, who were called salves of man,
And even showed as degraded by the writer publisher Ms. Mayo,
You would see, what courage and bravery they have shown,
You can witness and see from your eyes, dear letter.

You will see them fighting fearlessly, dear letter,
While wearing beautiful saffron color sarees,
As if, the goddess of courage is giving them strength,
To peacefully face lathe's and beatings on them,

Some where you will witness on your way, dear letter,
How bravely these women are struggling, while bearing,
Tortures and lathe’s in love of their motherland,
They go even to jails without fearing cruealities.

Such was the courage faced by brave and bold Indira,*
The only daughter of Kamla* on Zero Road, dear letter,
When she saved the honor of national flag,
While fearlessly struggling to carry on the procession.

Woman's Day

Women's Day

wiping away those tears

of the brutal truths of your past

wiping away those tears

your spirit rises up, far beyond your scars

and your strength resides deep within you

with an unshakeable resolve that shall forever last

...the weakened men whose brute force is so macho and empty

and that has always been in your face

are now nothing but specks of aging, obsolete rust

flitting past you, for you hold it all together

as you always have

rising up firm and strong from being shoved into the dust

...you are a mother, a lover, a daughter, a wife, and a worker ... above all a worker you have been

tying the loose ends together time after time

always there

yet unseen

...a woman you are

of fibre

of courage

of being the bedrock on which we trample

on whose shoulders this world stands

as you continue to work ceaselessly on

with lines on your face

and with raw wounds on your hands

but...

now your time has come

and no longer will you silently bear

the jabs and taunts of men

for now you proudly declare

that a mother am I, a daughter too, a lover and a wife as well

and now the time has come for them to awaken

to the tolling a new bell

...a bell that tolls for you

for you have taken back the pride and dignity that they stripped off you for ages

for now theirs is a lost cause while your battle still defiantly rages

through cities and homes and villages

and in town after nameless town

for now the bell has tolled

and the time has passed for you

to be ever
again
put down

For Anene Booysen 1996 - 2013

Hamba Kahle Anene Booysen! (1996 – 2013)

Dead at 17, brutally raped and left to die,
in the dirt,

at a construction site in Bredasdorp.

‘horrific’, ‘repulsed’,
‘brutally raped’, ‘shocked’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

murdered at 17, brutally raped and left to die,

in the dirt,

at a construction site in Bredasdorp.

Anene was raped,
savagely mutilated,

Her 17 year old body tossed aside,

by the hands of men.

Men, always men,

cowardly, beastly, perverted, twisted men.

‘Beastly’, ‘perverted’, ‘twisted’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

who now lies cold and dead.

How many Anene Booysens will it take,

for us,
society,
families,
people,

human-beings,

and,

men, especially men,

to excise the ghastly menace,

of the heinous capacity that resides,

within men,

always men,

to brutalise, rape, mutilate, and murder.

‘Brutalise’, ‘murder’, ‘rape’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

murdered at 17, brutally raped and left,

to die,

in the dirt,

at a construction site,

in Bredasdorp.

Sense

Do you remember how she smelled
like Christmas?

How she smiled
like rain?

Do you think of her, sometimes
when snow and laundry soap
fill your senses?

Or when the wind catches the leaves
and they laugh in your ear
sing you to sleep?

Maybe it's the reason your eyes cloud over
when you feel silk
against your fingers

Because for a moment
you're cradled in her arms
Peter Pan and Hook
tugging at your eyelashes

Some bittersweet reminisce
of quilted portrait frames
salted tears
and candy-cane red lipstick
tuning your dreams

And with simple twinges of regret
feather-like brushes of remorse
you cave
collapse

 Wish you could remember more
than a smell
or a sound
fainter than teardrops

Wish everything didn't remind you
you couldn't.

Mother Mary

Over your head is a shining light,
Oh mother Mary what a blissful sight.

You came to the world to bless us all,
You brought a son to save the world.

You appear to the sick to give them hope,
To bless them and comfort their soul.

So gentle mother Mary, please bless me
And my family in this life’s journey.

A journey of hope that the ever lasting place
Is a better place for us all.

Please mother Mary help the sick,
Heal them with your blessings this i wish.

I kiss the ground where you walked,
The land of the Cedars that stood so tall.

You are there in every place,
On our hearts we engraved your face.

Woman from Congo

I am woman …
WOMAN
Of Congo,
Chewed,
Spat out,
And bestowed with straw basket
To fetch water.
You set upon us
Wild dogs,
Stretching our legs wide,
Ripping out our genitals and dignity
To nurse your children’s
Craving.

‘fore you design gods;
Ones who create dolts,
Small-minded folks,
And feast on minerals –
Congo was a lady
And I … I am
WOMAN,
Strong black woman.

I bought some views
On black market;
They are rare commodities,
Sat down with glass of nsamba
on the rocks
And seriously contemplate …

It is hard to buy
Black market stuff;
We are set up
To think
East is inferior to west,
Barring them Europeans
Who broke their necks
To dwell in Canaan.

One thing is for sure,
They alleged a better name
And substitute
The ones we were given;
Those with implications.
Oh, what things we see
When we start looking
From our own eyes.

I am WOMAN …
Woman alone
And taken against my desire,
Ravished by the corporations;
The gods who create your children
I am WOMAN,
Woman from Congo.

Understood

You are a woman with pried and proven, no need to state it...it can be seen and proven!

You are a woman...vibrant and sassy filled with a radiant glow that can be seen from afar, no need to prove it!

You are a woman...a mother to many not just your own a multiply diverse persona, no need to prove it!

You are a woman…a wife a sister and a daughter as well, a sultry sophisticated woman, no need to prove it!

You are a woman…a cook a doctor and sometimes a lawyer for the guilty even if you she knew you did it, no need to prove it…its been known since the day I first layed my eyes upon you. I myself simply call you my wife and the mother of my children. Understood by me and never needed to be proven!

What's Happening to Marriages Today

What’s Happening to Marriages Today?

I was listening to someone just the other day…
And I couldn’t believe what he had to say!

He had left his wife and children for another!
She was young enough to be his daughter!

Here they were, “in love” and holding hands!
Hoping to soon, get their “wedding bands!”

They were pretending that this was so “cool.”
Living now by their own “set of rules!”

How sick and disgusting this is getting to be!
Is this something that many can’t see?

God gave us Adam and Eve to become one.
To bear fruit through daughters and sons!

He gave us marriage as holy vows are made.
Not to march in an “adulterous parade!”

We are treading on very dangerous ground!
Faithfulness and commitment
are scarcely found!

The very definition of marriage is changing!
As the family unit is always rearranging!

Our only hope is in Jesus! And him alone!
Let’s promote his love! Into our hearts and home!

Let’s allow his love to be our heart’s glue!
And bring new meaning to the words; “I love you!”

May his love bind our hearts and lives together!
And remain faithful to each other forever!

I Am So Very Thankful

I’m So Very Thankful… I’m so thankful for everything the Lord has made... Everything he’s created… His beauty is displayed! I’m so thankful for the breath I have to breathe… Until that one day, from this earth, I shall leave. I’m so thankful for the way God has made so evident. The principles of his word… Are so relevant! I’m so thankful for the beauty and glory he’s shown… It has brought blessings and healing to my home! I’m so thankful for the many things he’s done for me… He’s given me his love which flows abundantly! I’m so thankful that each day,.. Is another to live for him… He’s taken away my pain and has forgiven every sin. I’m so thankful that I can write these words from my heart. I know that he’s with me. And he’ll never depart! I’m so thankful that you’re reading what I’ve been saying… May this cause you to once again start praying! I pray that this same Jesus I know… Who’s merciful and kind… Will speak words of hope to you and give you a peace of mind. I pray that before you go to bed and this day has ended. You’ll allow Christ to have your heart “amended.” Thank you Lord! For what you’ve done and are going to do… It’s another way that I can say “I LOVE YOU!” Thank you Lord! For all that I‘ve received and so much more… You’ve made my life complete… And are worth living for!

American Heart

America resides within the heart of all Who believe in freedom, choice, voice and opportunity Deny, not, the display of pride within yourself Or else you’d deny pride in this land of the free America, more than land, it’s home to you and me Some dare tread, take arms against and try to squash All that America ever stood for, which is evident to all They fear the freedom, strength and all that’s offered As they know, against us, they would never stand tall And for all their attempts, America makes them fall This 9-11, let us not focus on terrorist actions But, on those Americans lost, that still live in our hearts Remember and honor them by living the American dream Exhibiting the ideals and always doing our part Showing all, America has muscle but lives through its heart

Clother Her in Purple (Tribute to Corretta Scott King)

Clothe her in purple

For she must be dressed

Sprinkle her with gold

Indeed she is blessed

Adorn her with strength

And comfort her with love

Prepare her with wisdom

Always shine light from above

Let her sing from the heart

For nations will hear her cries

Tears for equality, justice, and peace

Escape her eyes

Faithful and loyal

She deserves her crown

While he unchained the dream

She helped hope take its place to remain unbound

Her work never ends as she manages her home

‘She must be praised’ her children confessed

Clothe her in purple

She must be dressed

Halloween's Song

Its your Halloween rave, having your mascaraed
With all your best friends from back in the day
Liz Lauren and Blake and while they're dressed like skanks
I'm on the front line of battle
Howlin like jackle with A real nasty cackle
puttin a razor blade in the sack of Blake's apples
crack in Lauren's snapple
Staddle Liz like mclovin
But I am more like faghole As I babble at her ass
Axe her fast and mash her up like cattle
Sneak back and tackle your dad and put him in shackles
Shove sour patch kids Down your trap and gaggle
Its abominable, so unbelievable
But its inevitable, the end is kissable
I have rattled these kids psyches
squirming like a centipede, cutting them like celery
hear their squeamish screams echo in the streets
as the creepy bells of the chapel ring

I remain a mystery
You'll need nancy drew, and at least 3 of the hardee boys to find what I'm up to
Theres this gloom that looms down in your basement room
Consuming shrooms, enhaling fumes to escape your doom
Witches zoomin by on their brooms makin sonic booms
Quick call scooby doo, but I killed him too
You heard a loud pound cause I cut the fuse so you
Run away to a motel room, assuming your safe
And As you look the other way,
I got my fangs in your veins and stranglin your neck
Too bad you didn't text your friends to tell them who is next
Hmm let me think for a sec. As Hex your boy rex
with an incessant twitch, till he is dead in a ditch
Hang him from bunny man bridge
Yo dude turn the lights on
But there's no flip to switch , I have flipped the script
Its bewitched with no miss to kiss
Exorcist with no priest to dismiss the spirit

So the town clock strikes half past 3
There's one last gas before i must sleep
Or i will crash fast if the light touches me
Put on the mask jack, just like the sixth scream
I need to grasp havoc, till i hear shrills and shrieks
Please back rabbit, these chills aint for teens
As I stick a cherry bomb in your moms exhaust pipe
Run up on you with nine a knife, and the head of your wife
Its useless I'm the nuisance that's abusive yet conducive
To your fear that I am near So close I could whisper in your ear
Smell the shampoo in your hair Wipe the floor with your tears
And as you look up in the mirror
I'm there ready to smear your blood all over the chair
as I stab you with my spear I crush a coors beer then
Leave you re crops there dead, red spread on the floor
But I hear a knock on the door
Are you okay honey? "Yes mommy, just got a cold sore"

What's Done In Secret Will Come Out In the Open

What’s Done In Secret… Will Come Out In The Open! I’ve read God’s word, and it’s clearly spoken… What’s done in secret… Will come out in the open! I’ve been guilty of this, too many times! I never thought of it, to really be a “crime?” “Nobody’s watching” was the thought pondered… As my mind began to “explore and wander.” It didn’t take long for my life to go “off course.” By a powerful wind of temptation’s force! No matter how many times I took time to pray… This “secret” held on, and wouldn’t go away! I went to church on Sunday and prayed and cried. This “secret” remained, no matter how hard I tried! God told me, I was to give up what surrounded me! This was hard to do, but God was there to help me! Many things I thought I needed, to give me pleasure… Didn’t fulfill the love that God gave! An eternal treasure! As each day passes on… I want to humbly confess… I’m giving my life to God! He’ll take care of the rest! May the Lord Jesus stir a deep passion within… May it be my desire to be more like HIM! God is the God of yesterday, today and tomorrow! I’ve no secrets with him! No more shame or sorrow! Jesus is the Lord of lords! And the King of kings! He’s my lord and savior! My everything! By Jim Pemberton

Poetry About Poetry

Shades of color bounce within
Singing their hues dancing in place
Vivid lines colored outside
Rules broken with empty space
A midnights dream heard and seen
Gleaming from the twinkle of a eye
Wings touched flown and plucked
Gliding like a bird up in the sky
Wishes from pennies thrown into tears
The reservoir over flowing with pigments of pain
Drowning from the shadows
The flood paints the day
Words speak volumes of silence hidden
Their sounds blind to what they see
Mirrors of nouns and verbs
Their meaning and secrets lost at sea
Emotions ruled by laws of language
Spelled in boxes of glass
Melted from sands inside
That voices strangle to grasp

CRITERIA OF THE JEWISH CANON 11022011

In the several centuries
Before the coming of Christ
The Jews in Palestine re-examined
Eliminated some of the books

From existing collection
As not in harmony with the Law of Moses as
Of doubtful inspiration
The Pharisees set up four criteria

Which their sacred
Books had to pass
In order to be included
In the revised Jewish Canon

(1)	They had to be in harmony with the Pentateuch (Torah or Law)

(2)	They had to be written before the time of Ezra

(3)	They had to be written in Hebrew

(4)	They had to have been written in Palestine

woman's rant on a hot summer day

just because you see me walking down 'ho boulevard does not mean i'm for sale...
i don't have an advertising sign up inviting you to taste and see
a woman can't walk down the street in broad daylight
dressed in a baggy t-shirt and sweats
rockin' an afro puff on a hot summer day
without being propositioned
in violation of my rights as a woman to be free from sexual harassment
and I’m mad about it
my “NO” to your obnoxious offer is real talk
and you should know the difference between what’s for sale
and what’s not on the auction block
so g’long
an' lef’ muh tuh walk in peace
makes a woman want to carry a concealed weapon
and go blasting
could never walk the hallways
play in the yard
or even pray
without somebody bothering me
pulling on my clothes
or grabbing at me
for some sick reason
the next one is going to get a surprise
so g’long
an' lef’ muh tuh walk in peace

~in honor of the women who have walked ahead of me...

That's Where The Lord Lives

I walk outside to see all that I can see.
Over there is our house, our home,
In the distance, you can see.
And that place of hallowed happiness
Forever has been our home
And forever will be so evermore.
That house is small but raised us tall,
From the perfect parents who loved us so
To the perfect sister for which every man would want.
The house built us all up strong.
More than a mere building,
It is a place to love and be loved,
A place that hands you hope that you give right back,
And a place of everlasting faith.
This home is where my parents taught me about God
And opened me up to Jesus.
They opened the eyes of the blind for all to see,
And the blind included me.
They taught me to be the best I can be;
The best things in life are free.
They have taught us so well,
And they all have saved my soul.
Even if I am not there now,
I carry Him with me.
I carry them with me.
I carry Their values and Their teachings with me.
In this house, this home,
We reside.
We cannot forget this.
This is where my Mother lives.
This is where my Father lives.
This is where my Sister lives.
This is where We live,
In this loving, caring, beautiful home
They made just for us.
We cannot forget this either.
This is where it all began.
This is where the hunger and thirst was created;
This is where we are fulfilled.
We cannot, we must not forget this:
This is where God lives.
This is where Jesus lives.
This is where The Lord lives;
The Father and The Almighty.
This is where We live;
This is where We reside.
We must not forget this.
We must not forget this:
What a beautiful and perfect life this is.

Nun In FRiar Small-Bro's Grave---Yard Part 1

The midnight clings to dwarfish kings
While robot drones, adorning thrones,
       Kneel, bowing to the Old...Guard.
Arrhythmic clocks and wooden box
       Grace FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

The diplohacks, in melting wax,
Are swept along, a thriving throng,
       Just dying for a life...guard.
And Nun, alone, has beached their bones
       In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

Beyond the streams, a raven screams
At loser fish that swarm and swish;
       Nun gently drips her dreams...jarred.
There are no thanks along the banks
       Of FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

While FRiar smiles and prowls the aisles
The hierarch obeys his bark;
       His maw is oozing pure...lard.
He tells you who and what to do
       In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

Well, FRiar’s pets are in a sweat;
He calls the tunes near burning dunes
       And taps his cloven feet...charred.
They roast in rooms within the tombs
       In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

His myrmidons, they drool and fawn
While chanting verse near FRiar’s hearse -
       Extolling, wild, the van...guard.
Remote controls promote the trolls
       In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

With faces straight, in bent debate,
They compromise their empty lies
       With any passing re...tard.
Grey zombies groom white flies in bloom
       In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.

Small-Bro is Big Brother’s little brother.
diplohack is a hack who excels in diplomacy.

Unfortunately, the common workplace is even worse, and that is no fantasy...

Though Long and dreadful, the darkness has now become Light

Her clothes soaks in a sea of sweat, her skin wet, brown and muddy, as though floating in a Lake with debris. Notorious in her screams and dangerous in her gaze Making her the worst villain of the neighborhood been greatly antagonistic to Manhood as agony and frustration befell her, comparative to experiencing a difficult means of Livelihood. Medication may be an immediate remedy but will not stop her hatred towards the brotherhood. In difficulty, she curses and swears, her sexuality, been the target and victim. Increase severity of her present situation, makes her casualty to moral decadence and deterring her ability to be sane. Her thinking faculty, substituted with rage, and naughty questions flooding her mind like the spring as she wondered why Humanity is propagated through such pain The Balloon of Life gone so flaccid, her pains, like the infiltrating effect of an Acid. Just one last push to proceed, knowing fully well, she will succeed and finally, the glorious result of a seed. She has been in a Barren Land so dry, the feeling of darkness, she is ready to fry the transition to light, she gives a try which becomes accomplished with a Newborn's cry.

Divorce Isn't Always the Best Choice

Divorce Isn’t Always A Good Choice! I met a person who’s been married for many years. When he talked to me, he was in tears! He was faced with the option of divorce! And now, he feels his life is driven “off course.” His wife said she’s through. She’s “all done.” And doing things which seemed “fun.” Beyond each day and the circumstance… Does this marriage even “have a chance?” Why do people seem happier when they’re apart? Far too often, this ends up in a broken heart! Too often, people “give up” on what they believe! But it’s so many lies, is what they receive! I spoke to this person, of God’s purpose and meaning! Into God’s loving arms, is where he needs to be leaning! When life changes, and marriage seems to have failed you… Jesus is here! And wants to put his arms around you! There’s hope and answers to all of your problems! You’ll find the answer in God’s word! HE can solve them! The best choice for you is to come and trust HIM! Give Jesus your life! Come now and love HIM! All he needs is for you to give him an invitation! He’ll change you! And make you a new creation! His love can do what no other power can ever do! He’ll bring new meaning in the words; “I LOVE YOU!” By Jim Pemberton

PHENOMENAL WOMEN

Praying in her back room
Her eyes focused on her Father
Even when downtrodden
Never giving up
On her family,
Making it her mission to
Embrace love and the ability to
Nestle their desires
Absentmindedly she forgets her own significance, while
Love and trust is all she

Wish for, to
Open the doors to her heart, she
Magically succeeds to keep
Everybody happy,
Never forgetting, that to get love you need to give love…

and shortly there after we became parents
it is quite clear
there was never any other
for to me you are the perfect mother
sensitive and caring
loving and daring
a special blend that makes you unique.
on this day of praise
I raise you up
above the rest
for in my eyes your'e the best
at everything you do.
so once again happy mother's

They Left so Abruptly

They Left so Abruptly

(for the countless South Africans, of all colours, who dedicated their lives for freedom and democracy)

the valiant ones
countless
many known
many more nameless

the truest sons and singers
husbands and poets
lovers and wives
daughters and farmers
workers and sisters
brothers and friends

they left so abruptly
with quiet pride
steely courage
gentle dignity

they left so abruptly
leaving us our tomorrows
brighter
hopeful
filled with promise

they left so abruptly
so that we may breathe
the breath of liberty
the air of freedom
the warmth of justice

they left so abruptly
leaving with us their parting gift

freedom
inkululeko
swatantrata
liberte
azadi
vhudilangi
libertad

they left so abruptly
yet we remember them all
today
in the days that slipped away
and in the many more that we await

they left so abruptly
yet they remain
hewed into our memories
etched in our consciences
engraved in our hearts
they left so abruptly
and yet they endure
with us
within us
now and forever more

An Adulterous Situation

An Adulterous Situation I knew of a couple, involved in an adulterous situation. A person involved, claimed that he was a Christian! He told others that he wanted to tell her about the Lord… But this involvement in sin, he couldn’t well “afford!” A “casual” encounter led to the marriage’s destruction. Her husband was so hurt, he could hardly “function.” How could this man think there’s “nothing wrong with it.” “It must be fine.” He thought. “everyone’s doing it!” Jesus has come, that we might have freedom from within! Going to church, doesn’t give us a “license to sin!” God gave us marriage, as a holy and divine covenant! He gave us his word, so that our lives can be abundant! May this be a stern warning to one and all! That which may look attractive, will cause us to fall! If there’s something more from marriage that you desire… Be careful! Your deep passions will burn like a fire! May I encourage you to pray and seek the Lord above! And ask him to build your marriage on his love! Only he can restore everything the enemy has taken! He’ll be with you, when you may feel totally forsaken! Adultery is like a cancer cell… That will eventually destroy! It’ll rob you of the many blessings, that God wants you to enjoy! What God has joined as one... May there be no separation! But a heart of unselfishness, and a renewed dedication! By Jim Pemberton

I'm A Goddess

I'm a goddess
My flow is unspeakable
Not too many situations are infeasible
A goddess
I'm surely irresistible
Besides my persona the reason isn't invisible
A goddess
I'm gracious always
A real stand up woman the woman she don't play
A goddess
Courageous in all ways
Up against a man my heart will outweigh
A goddess
A woman with intuition
A passion for life and the quality of it's condition
A goddess
I'm a woman authentically
Progressively complexity, I love my femininity

Many Families Are In Difficult Situations

I’ve seen many families in difficult situations!
Often ending up in lies and false accusations!

I’ve seen many families stray way off course…
And tragically, often, end up in a divorce!

I’ve seen the hardships that many families endure.
Their faith has often been shaken.
 That’s for sure!

I’ve seen many families trying to give 100 percent.
And then wondering where all of their time went!

I’ve seen all these things happening
 and much more!
I have wondered; “what is all of this happening for?”

I’ve just one thing to say in this “chaotic confusion.”
Only the blood of Jesus gives
 any hope or solution!

It’s only in his word, we’ll find a godly direction!
His Holy Spirit can give true and loving correction!

May we seek his spirit to bind us all together!
And pray for his blood for our protection forever!

Please come Lord Jesus, and refresh our soul!
We need you right now, to make us whole!

Please touch our heart, and make us all one!
And heal every father, mother, daughter and son!

Please help us to watch what we’ll do and say!
You can turn our darkest night
 into the brightest day!

For Women

The modern day women of today are abused and tortured.
Not the physical of scars and wounds,
but the mental of intellectual suffocation.
What man can say: I am the bearer of life.
show me your proof and I’ll show you a liar.
What man can step forward and say: I was not born from a woman.
What man can say: I did not spend 9 months in their mother’s womb.
The truth is plain to see.
The hatred for women is bitterly unjust.

We should not simply acknowledge our women,
but understand, respect and love our women
for they are walking sanctities of wisdom and truth.
How can we celebrate life without saluting our wonderful women?
The nurtures of time; past, present and future
and still we choose to cast authority over them.
This general consensus of ownership must stop.
There is nothing weak in acknowledging a female heart.
As a man it is not a crime to say; I love you mother.
I love you sister. I love you wife. I love you friend.

On my behalf, I will respect each and every woman
regardless of if she respects herself.
Yet in time,
I know she will grow to love her own.
Valuing her every curve, acquired intellect,
display of heart, and ounce of spirit.
As a beautiful and insightful woman,
in time she will grow to love herself,
love her eyes and love her soul
Just as I will accordingly do.

For My Husband

I love you for being my husband.
I thank you for all your love.
I thank you for being there,
A special person sent from above.
I thank God for sending you to me,
For giving me a life with you.
And our children he entrusted me.
Your acceptance, guidance and care,
Given so unconditionally.
Together with my love and certainty,
Give us so much to share.
I feel a special bond not there before.
It gets stronger every day.
Making within me such awesome happiness,
My heart longs to soar.
I know that I am not always perfectly undoubting.
We both have our failures and imperfections.
I think, however, our short comings and trials
 Build between us stronger connections.
I believe that God has brought us together,
Because each has a lot to offer the other.
You, as the father and husband,
And me, as the wife and mother.

                                                                    Summer Gratias

Nine Meters to Centimeters:Evolution of Sari

The sun sets while the loyal footsteps
of a shadow enveloped in a drape of rudhira
walks down from one corner of the house to another
in obedience. Multiple jobs and multiple voices call
out her name every second, asking for a lifelong performance.

Happiness in the smiles of others, the belief
that is carried; ingratitude is ignored.
Selling pieces of herself for
their sake, vaulting the tears in a closet and wishing
for the dawn to come sooner.

The image of her likeness stands up,
and cuts the cramp of her sheets of toil,
metamorphosing it into a modern art,
walking down the streets under the
sun of liberation.

Happy Holidays Or Merry Christmas

What if Christmas wasn't here? What if Christmas disappeared? Whenever December came... It just wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? The true meaning of Christmas would be in danger! If this happened... There would be no nativity. We wouldn’t have Christ' peace and tranquility! It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! Many say; “Happy Holiday.” For fear they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. Once again! We need to put Jesus Christ back into our CHRISTmas season! He is what Christmas is about! HE is the very reason! May we all take some time to rejoice in our savior’s birth. May there be shouts of JOY! From the corners of the earth! Let’s not take Christ out of our joyous celebration! We need him so much right now! All over this great nation! May we bring to him a heart of love for everything he’s done. As we bring honor to Christ. God’s precious son! May we continually offer to him a heart filled with praise! Not only at Christmas time… But all of our days! By Jim Pemberton

CHARACTER Version 2

What the world
Thinks a woman is?
That's her 'reputation'.

Sadly,
It's often based
On false accusation,
Prejudice and supposition.

Upon further investigation
What's been found,
She really is?
That's her 'character'.

For its her heart's
Attunement and intention,
That truly matter.
(Hence, the question.)

At any rate
Though it is fate,
Which presents
Her circumstances,

Love still requires
That a woman
Take her chances,
To determine her character.
In that way
The seeds of
Her wisdom will scatter.

If here and now
 She were to somehow,
Receive an unexpected
And sudden impact,
How would she react?

How would she respond?
If the truth be known,
Character is a diamond
That scratches a little,
Every other stone.

Yet never
Has there been
A magic wand,
Rock or crystal
More powerful
Than a woman's
Strong backbone.

 We each need
A mind and will
Of our own,
To fulfill.

Character
Is a victory,
Not a gift.
 Underneath the mystery
Lies the lesson
To uplift.

Character,
As a kettle
Once mended,
Always requires repairs.

Sin,
As a bad habit
Once transcended,
Always requires prayers.

Like the story goes,
A person shows
What she is;
By what she does
With what she has,
Not by whom
She knows.

Self-determinism
Is fine but needs
To be tempered
With self-control.

Misfortune will
Usually decline wherever
Soul recognition
Becomes
The ultimate goal.

What Kind Of Life Have You Been Spending

You know that another year is ending. What kind of lifestyle have you been spending? Does it just seem like "you're walking on a cloud." "Everything's going good." You're very proud! You have a family, three cars, and much wealth. Not counting all of your friends... Plus good health. Have you thought about who made all of this possible? Jesus! You may find this to be "improbable." The Bible says that every good gift is from God on high. His word is true Don't listen to a lie! It's surely not just because of you that you have all of this. To go along in life, rather "happy and bliss." The next time you're heading out your front door. Think about the meaning of life. And what you're here for! Lay your treasures up in heaven... and you shall find. A godly contentment. True joy. And a peace of mind. The blessings of God... In you... He wants to pour. Give what you have to him... And then you'll have MORE! By Jim Pemberton

Nun In Friar Small-Bro's Grave---Yard Part 2

Continuation
With ghouls, unlearned, no stone’s unturned, They burnish blame with Nun’s proud name And leave the midnight sky... scarred. They raise their hats to copy cats In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. The rumours spread amongst the dead - Nun marks the place with saving grace, And phantoms keep their face...marred. The sinner digs with twisted twigs In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. In tempests strong, Nun rang the gong But failed to rise in vacant eyes - He gouged the one-eyed trump...card. Nun sets her sail, to no avail In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. Nun asked him why a bird can’t fly. His mouth, a slut, replied “tut, tut”, With conscience painted white...tarred. A mushroom mold has taken hold In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. “To get ahead”, his mouth, it said “Lay bare your breast! I’ll do the rest, I’ll bless you in the church...yard”. The golden rules are made for fools In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. When day’s undone, and night’s begun, Nun stirs a cup and turns face up, A feeling that she’s ill...starred. ’Tis such a crime to waste her prime In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. Nun planned to dine with sparkling wine But sips instead a bitter red Served with a crystal glass...shard, Behind the bog, beneath the fog In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. Well, minstrels fight beyond the night And demons wait behind the gate, While silence chokes the host...bard. An angel sings with broken wings In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. A web waits, spun neath dying sun. And caught ensnared, her flight impaired, Nun’s thoughts are how they’d die...hard. The puppet people storm the stee- pled FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. And voices wail beyond the pale, “The old taboo - it echoes true - Nun’s bound to have her way...barred”. The schemes are strange and minds deranged In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard. Ms.! Cast your nets, but hedge your bets - There are no odds, where purple gods And hungry idle ghosts...sparred. The morning foams amongst the gnomes In FRiar Small-Bro’s grave...yard.
Unfortunately, a woman’s plight in the common workplace is even worse, and that is no fantasy

God Gave Us Our Sexuality

God Gave Us Our Sexuality… God gave us our sexuality and told us how to use it. But many have ignored him, and have “abused it.” Through his word, he’s given us his “set of rules.” So many have refused it, and have become “fools.” The fool has purposed in his heart God does not exist. Yet his beautiful handiwork is all around their midst. Many have chosen to turn his truth into a lie. And often, they burn in lust till the day they die. Many have offered their bodies for ungodly things. Not caring the consequences this really brings! Many are involved with perversion of various kinds. Having a warped sense of morality in very confused minds So many aren’t happy with the way they're created. Their own sexual identity is often debated. You were wonderfully designed and beautifully made. Please don’t end up as sin’s “sexual slave!” God made you special… And has a perfect will! Your every need… His love can fulfill! Don’t settle for what may be “your innocence lost” Think about the work Christ did on the cross! God can help you to resist the man “sexual temptations.” And can bring to your life his peace and true satisfaction. You don’t have to live like you did before! God can restore your life and do so much MORE1 By Jim Pemberton

It's Hard To See The One You Love Go Through Pain

It's Hard To See Someone Go Through' Pain... "It's hard to see someone I love go through so much pain." Were the words I heard that night I called on Jesus' name. "This person whom I love, has gone through so much." "How I wish to bring my peace and healing touch." I cried and wept, as I heard the master's voice. His gift of love is for all of us... It's our choice! His body was broken... A sacrifice was made. His life for our sorrow and pain, is what he gave. His grace is more than sufficient for the pain we endure. His love and commitment to you, is true and secure. He loves you so much. He waits at your heart's door. He gives peace and comfort. And so much more! The pain and suffering you're going through today. Please listen to the words Christ has to say. "I am El-Shadaii." "Jehovah-Jireh." "Your very best friend." Marriage Is Under Attack Like Never Before

Marriage Is Under Attack Like Never Before! Marriage is under attack… And it’s because… So many people have trampled “God’s set of laws…” What once was ordained as “God’s order of unity…” Has often resulted in so much “infidelity…” The God given covenant between a woman and a man… Is so distorted… How can one truly understand? All the way from Genesis to Revelation… God made it clear from the time of creation… It was Adam and Eve from the very start… As Eve was formed from a rib… Close to Adam’s heart. They were joined together by their God above… Being a symbol of his creation and never-ending love This same God is the redeemer of your very soul… It’s only in him that you can be complete and whole! You are invited to join the marriage supper of the lamb… Christ is the bridegroom and is waiting for your hand! Won’t you accept God’s proposal he offers to you? He’s given the invitation… What will you do? He’s coming for a bride who’s sins are washed away! Won’t you accept his proposal of love… Today? He remains faithful… And forever true! And has already said the words; “I DO!” By Jim Pemberton

God's Definition of Marriage

God designed marriage as the real thing!
Anything less, is what a counterfeit brings!

His concept of one man and woman is very real.
He’s not interested in bowing to “man’s appeal.”

His court of justice rings very loud and clear!
The truth of his word shall NEVER disappear!

You can look in Genesis and it is found!
He created Adam from the dust of the ground!

He designed Eve from one of his ribs!
They were joined together as both lived!

He didn’t need a constitution to know “their rights.”
He gave them HIS WORD as their guiding light!

Satan has been trying to pervert what God created!
This is a truth. And need not be debated!

We have cheapened the value of the marriage institution!
And have added needless
chaos and confusion!

Through the Bible, one husband and wife are taught!
Unless you want to live in Sodom, as did Lot!

Ungodly perversions take many forms and kinds.
And it soon piles up garbage into our minds!

“What God has put together.”
 “Let no man put asunder.!”
Many ideas of “marriage,” is a total blunder!

One man and one woman is what God ordained in Eden.
It was Adam and Eve.
Not Adam and Steven!

The choices in life are yours! And yours alone!
Who is going to be the Lord, of your heart and home?

New Beginning

Introduction: It’s a piece dedicated to the lullaby of a different kind. It’s something which has happened to many out there, but the experience is distinctively significant…

A priceless surprise, silenced all in its tune By a soft heavenly cry, from the delivery room Only a few hours was the night; so young Where for the first time, she opened her eyes, While by her side her dearly loved one For the last time, closed her teary eyes Father held her near and resounded to her cry; But all mother could share was, this lullaby – The long last beep from the ECG Echoed her heartbeat…The last goodbye Happiness and sadness broke through the night With streams of tears for mother’s plight; She never had the chance to hold her close But left precious prayers that never left her side As she came down to their hearts Her soul flew up high apart, The transfer of two lives through one, Their journey was complete and done Caught within that reverie He conveyed the Azaan through her ears, In the wake of such irony He fell down to prostrate in tears When all hopes seemed to end, father’s prayer did transcend O’ Almighty became her closest friend and had for her a Grande plan, Under HIS mercy and HIS guide, she flourished through the darkest nights To a new beginning – she set off to write.

Fifty-Seven Years Ago Today

Fifty-Seven Years Ago Today

With new dress and suit, flowers, and hair fixed just right
The dreams, plans, and labors of our lives would unite

My brother and his gal stood beside us on the spot
To give witness to the world that we tied the knot

We stood nervous before the preacher at his home
Promised to cling to each other; never to roam

Said “I do” to the questions; gave the preacher his pay
Man and wife; fifty-seven years ago today.

BREAK THIS SILENCE...

Open your mouth
and break this silence.
When was he given a licence?
This is your body,
You don’t always have to be sorry!
His hand on your jaw
Makes your face purple and sore
Is marriage, a war?
Is this why you have come so far?
No money, just drinks, and bars!
Tacky wowmen and fancy cars.
he will learn
when the tables have turned
To hold you tight
Instead of fighting, and arguing
all through the night.
You have to be brave,
You are not his slave
Feel proud to say
I made my move, i did not stay!

I MISSED THEM ALL TODAY

I missed my wife today
while she had to be away.
Realised how lonely I’d be
if she wasn’t here with me.

Without her love and smile
life wouldn’t be worthwhile
I missed my wife today.

I missed my children today
seeing them happily at play.
Sunny days and ice creams
bedtime stories before dreams.

They’ve grown and moved on
now my little ones are gone.
I missed my children today.

I missed my father today
working Monday to Friday.
Taking us out on Saturday.
preaching in church on Sunday.

Taken from us far too young
long before his life was done.
I missed my father today.

I missed my mother today
busily getting through the day.
Dinner cooking, smelling good
afternoon read when she could.

Never a moan, often a smile
looking after us, all the while.
I missed my mother today.

I missed them all today.

Don't Look Under the Bed

 Don't Look Under the Bed
 - by Bob Atkinson

..........Oliver Goldsmith tells the story ....

out walking for his health
a man spied his friend of years on pathway
how "are you sir?" he asked with smile
"not well" the gent replied back, looked terrified

"... what happed sir to create this stir
you seem so stressed this day
do you feel under the weather
perhaps you should stand in shade? ..."

the man then told his story
one of dubious glory
had come home early yesterday
and found his wife not at her work

lying without on her bed
no stitch of clothes or hat on head
had looked down and seen some shoes
not his size, but a style he knew

looking further had seen his friend
under the bed with open hand
covering body parts unnamed
a context which him inflamed

"... hmmmm the first man perused
this situation's not so unusual
a fix of gross proportions
one of life's heartless distortions

the gent began to lament
how he's sending wife to mother
divorcing within the week
slapping her with lawyer on each cheek

his friend then held up hand to stop
this track of mind which he thought
not a path one should take
in this situation of disgrace

"friend," he said with saddened tone
"you have no witness on your own
just your word against your lover
should you really send her to her mother?

your word against her own
you'll alimony pay through the nose
and half your wealth will be disposed
to this woman of lover spoken

best never again look under her bed
when you come home you should slam
front door hard to make some noise
yell 'Honey I'm Home' loudly in bright tones"

thus, the gent saw sense in this
went home with smile to his sweetness
"Honey I'm home," he loudly declared upon entry
he never again looked under bed or pantry

Our little boys

Look at our three little boys all grown up. You'd be so proud of the men they are today. They think of you often and what'd you say to them today. I wish you could have been here to see them grow into the men they are today. Their no longer the little boys who use to need us to need us to make their bumps and bruices go away. Their now the strong men that have their own family's. You gave me three angels from above but, you were taken from us to soon. I know your always watching after them from above. Even tho their all grown up they'll always be our three little boys.

This Habit's Got A Hold Of Me I Can't Break It

This habit has a hold of me. ..
I can’t seem to break it!
I’m so discouraged … I can’t “shake it!”

I don’t know what to do, or where to turn…
When I tell others about it.
 They’re not concerned…

What am I going to do in a situation like this?
It seems like my life is just one huge mess!

The “satisfaction” I seek… I haven’t obtained.
I’ve only myself… And no one else to blame…

Many discouraging thoughts
have entered my head.
Each night I cry out loud before going to bed…

I can’t think or do anything like I once did.
I don’t know how much longer
 I ‘m going to live.

Can you help me Jesus? I know that you can.
There’s no one else who’ll listen
 or understand…

I’m going to get on my knees and begin to pray…
And ask for God’s help. I’ll do it TODAY!

I trust his power to break this habit of mine…
This is the hour! This is the time!

I need true freedom. And a love that will last.
Everything I’ve tried… Disappears fast!

To you Lord Jesus I give my life that’s broken.
“Please come into my heart…”
  Are the words spoken.

“Help me Lord to have victory within…”
“And thank you Lord for being my friend!”

Fire, the flames of all my desires.
Heat, the sensation that makes me
weak.
Emotions, my missions to keep
discreet.
The more he knows, the easier my
guard faces defeat.
Weakness, the tremble that
unsteady's my feet.
Strength, is my better half, he's here
when I need.
Faith, is Gods security given to you
& me.
Patience and understanding is
knowing when to take heed.
Sorrow, is
overwhelming,overcoming and
deep.
But pain is the one to really make us
weep.
Compassion is something that all of
us need.
To get threw this life, it is needed
indeed.
To the ones that doubt me, I'm tellin
'ya don't sleep.
I may be calm & quite but I only act
meek.
To walk in my shoes, & to see what
I've seen,
I promise, you wont be the one to
judge me.
& to Luis , my man, the love of my
life.
This love, our love, I don't have to
think twice.
Our life, our plans, our path that we
lead,
I promise you baby I will never
retreat.
To my children, whom I love & will
one day have to leave,
Forgive me for all the times I let my
emotions make me weak.
And know that I love you, and you
guys I did need.
Without you I would never
appreciate what I achieve.
To my mother whom I did have the
pleasure to meet.
Letting me go was the best decision
your mind ever could've conceived.
TO my father who left me alone in
the streets,
Without you was harder, but could
never stop me.
One thing I know,I can feel it so
deep.
God made me stronger than I could
ever believe.
MY strength, My tolerance, My
endurance I keep.
Continuing my life & trying to
conquer my dreams.
No matter what happens,what ever
will be,
I will be happy no matter who
doubts me.

Setting up House

I met a woman, fell in love
She was a gift from above
Soon she became my spouse
We gathered things and set up house.

Some things were new without a flaw
Some were hand me downs from Ma and Paw
For some we saved nickels in a can
Some were bought on the installment plan.

Children came – a total of four
Two boys – two girls- no need for more
We managed to provide room and board
Did the best we could afford.

We moved around from house to house
On an adventure – me and my spouse
Gathering things to which we would cling
But we rarely got rid of anything.

Tables, chairs, couches, and beds
Cabinets and shelves taller than our heads
Mugs, pictures, and bells we did collect
Mementoes and heirlooms on which to reflect.

A man gathers a lot in over fifty years
And remembers many of them with tears
Many a thing still fills my house
But it’s not a home without my spouse.

She has a room in a retirement home
Care is provided and she cannot roam
I dreamed one day we would be old timers
But I never figured on Alzheimer’s.

Now I have a house full of stuff
Too many things - more than enough
The time has come to downsize
To an apartment in the high rise.

My children came one by one
Went through my stuff until they were done
One takes this and another takes that
And managed to do so without a spat.

Giving things away is a lonely task
My irritability I cannot mask
Gathering things with my spouse
Was more fun than cleaning out house.

A Young Man With A Heavy Load

A Young Man With A Heavy Load… I was watching a young man walking down my road. I could tell that he was sad, and carrying a “heavy load.” You see his dad had recently “up and left the home.” Now he and his mom were left all alone! I could tell it was hard for him to hold back the tears. Especially after being with his dad for so many years! I don’t think that parents think about what they say and do. They can hurt and betray the one who said; “I love YOU!” When this happens… I know that the heart of God is hurting.. Too many couples are together, but their eyes “keep flirting.” They feel happy to have a family, but soon it’s not enough… And quickly run out when things get “tough.” The dishonesty, lying and cheating are too commonplace… I’ve seen the heartache and pain upon a loved one’s face. Jesus knows all about the hurt and pain that this can cause. He also knows about the “friction” caused by the “in-laws.” For the one that may be thinking of leaving his or her family… You may think it’s fun now… But you’re not going to be happy! Whatever is tugging at your heart now may seem “appealing.” But it’s the love from your spouse and kids that you’re stealing! I challenge you to be the man or woman of God he wants you to be! You need to be with the family God gave you! Can’t you see??? Come on back and spend the quality time you need to spend. Your family and children need you both as a parent and a friend! Allow the love of Jesus Christ to bind your hearts together! May his peace and joy comfort you now and forever! Allow your home to be filled with the love of God’s precious son! May be bring your family together in unity… As ONE! By Jim Pemberton

I Remember Back When

I remember at the young age of 9 or 10.
Going to the theater was
considered a sin.
There were many things
that as a young boy.
That I wanted to explore and enjoy.

My parents may have been "old fashioned."
They were filled with a Godly
love and compassion.
I look back now and with some hesitation.

And think about this
"new generation."
I wonder "where have all of the morals gone to?"
Some parents are doing things, as a kid, I'd never do.
Many of the "Godly" parents don't seemed concerned.
What's right or wrong—they can't discern.

What once was a dividing line
between black and white.
Is now; "if it feels good—it must be allright."
The savior's call for holiness in your life must dwell.
Living by his word will save your family from hell.

Maybe living for Jesus is by some,
"a narrow way of living."
May your life be one of sacrifice,
holiness and thanksgiving.
May your commitment be true, your heart sincere.
For one day very soon, Jesus shall appear.
Now's the time to be an example
of Jesus' precious name.
When he comes —will you be ready—
or be ashamed?

This Past Year

I think about this past year... It “came and went…” I wonder that kind of life have I really spent? It almost seems like yesterday that I was a young man… “I had the world in the palm of my hand.” I had many goals, ambitions and dreams. I wanted to enjoy life and do so many things. Looking back on time and how quickly it’s gone by. I gaze up into the beauty of the stars in the sky. As I get older and think about another “resolution.” I find myself with another problem with no “solution.” I think about a God... Who made all of this a possibility! He’s offered to me love, hope and tranquility! I’m going to make a new commitment this January 1st. No matter if things get better… Or things get worse… I’m going to give my life and family to God above. And ask him to bless our home with his mercy and love. I’m going to try to live for him the best way I know. And seek his blessings wherever I may go! I’m going to give to God a love and strong commitment. It’s only in him where I’ll find true fulfillment! There’s an important fact, I shall always remember… God is with me from January thru December! He will be there to guide each step that is taken! With him in my life… I’m never alone or forsaken! By Jim Pemberton

Can God Find You Faithful

Can God Find You Faithful?

I once knew a man had made
up his mind.
He left his wife and children behind!

He met someone who “captured his heart.”
This was a deception
from the very start!

His wife gave God and their kids
her love and attention...
But her husband went
Into another direction!

  They went to church...
 And did their "Sunday best."
How could this
 turn into such a mess?

Temptation can happen to anyone!.
Whether rich or poor.
Be careful what you allow to
 enter your heart's door.

Regardless of whether you've been
married for a lot of years..."
One shameful act can bring
 heartache and tears!

The love that’s been given...
  Let no one take away!
No matter what others think...
 Or what they might say.

Stay true to God! You'll be
glad you did!
His love and joy will bless you
 each day you live!

Jesus will never forsake you!
Or leave you alone!
Allow HIM to bring peace and
 restore your home!

Three Among Us Named Sue

Bows in the pigtails, bows on the dress
swinging her arms, loving all the sass
bouncing and beautiful, rounding and rue
we flow into the coming days, of kissing Sue.

Sue is immortal, holding her babes,
loving her man, cooking her meals,
wanting for the beyond, entering her days
slowing and slowing until she sits more than swings.

And there you find her bowed back all alone,
waiting for a call, wanting everyone back home,
kisses so remote, we wonder how they disappear
until we find warmth with the one who calls us home.

Hug

1.

"Have you hugged yourself today?"

I still remember that question.
I was not able to answer it.
But there you were, you always so,
if you ask questions
you have had the answers.

"Your arms are too short for your body.
but certainly long enough for me."

Then you came into my arms
and dwelt therein.

"Do you still keep that hug?"

We asked each other.
Then we laughed together.

A hug is the only
answer to the question.
Then buried us into memories.

2.

My wife prefer to hug than to say a word:

"i love you, boy!
i love you, hubby!"

As if the two arms
can convey all the secrets.

Our children grow
loving arms more than words.

That is why every night my wife
prayed to be an octopus.
And all of us come into
the hugs of her hands.

3.

One by one, the body
will escape from the hug

then our arms
began to carry guns
and wars.

The body was destined
to belonged to a hug
then later owned by bullets.

Invisible yet Invincible

The seemingly small acts of a mother
Invisible in so many ways
Often wishing for another’s druthers
She still conquers her world each day

Little things she does so keen
Like binding sores or doing laundry
Often go by unnoticed and unseen
Yet, God’s beside her in her quandaries

He watches quietly as she builds
While her children grow swiftly by and by
She gives so much of her own free will
And she hardy ever questions why

She seems to know all the right ways
As she helps build their souls each day
She knows everyday is a brand new start
So she invincibly gives all her love and heart

HE WAS THERE

I know that there are some that still can't pray
and others that ask, 'Where was God that day?'
HE was there with each tear that's shed
as the news reported, There is thousands dead!'

HE was in the hyjacked planes so out of control
His angels collecting each passenger's soul!
HE was there at the buildings of the World Trade Center
with Heaven's gates wide open bidding all to enter!

HE was there in every tired body and grimy face
that refused to give in to another trying to take his place!
HE was there amongst every common place hero
who repeatedly dug through the rubble in New York's ground zero!

HE was there with the passenger's of Flight 74
whose sacrifice kept the enemy from the White House door!
HE was there with those that died at the Pentagon
when another plane flew into them like a bomb!

HE was there when thousands of passengers landed
unable to get home, so on Canadian soil they were stranded!
HE was there in the smiles of the Maritime youth
who came with blankets, fresh clothing and hot bowls of soup!

HE was there when the President cried out with pride
'This will only make us stronger, we have GOD on our side!'
HE was there when AMERICA was at Iraq's door
teaching the Taliban what happens when you provoke a war!

HE is there today as countless others reflect on the loss
just as HE watched HIS only Son die upon the cross! HE WAS THERE!

I GOT THAT FEELING

I got that feeling you are not love me anymore
Your kisses are as hot and cold as before
Where the reflection of San Francisco’s pier
Brings nothing to you such illusion of lightsome
I fear soon it would be over upon the warm I keep.

Courtville’s home might split in half
The cars might follow the shame
And a court battle has just begun.
Oh, God, believe me! I’m going to fight to death
To give domestic life another paramount twist,
Scream if it’s necessary but my little boy isn’t going
With her.

You blame me for all and for what it is no there
Like the time I write and make you within my limits
Nothing I could do to change color and vain
But my little boy, the one you have given to me
From the last autumn isn’t going to live with that ugly bull of yours.

Mom I'm Pregnant

“Mom…. I’m Pregnant!”

From the time I held my baby
in my arms…
I made a vow to “protect her from all harm.”

She was indeed a wonderful bundle of joy…
And during her life, has been a gift for us to enjoy.

She's been the focus of much of our attention,
Trying to provide for her
“timely” correction.

As a father, many thoughts entered my mind…
I wanted to be attentive to her,
patient and kind.

As she's gone through
her teenage years…
I thought of what perhaps is a parent’s #1 “fear.”

Then one day... “Mom I’m pregnant” were spoken...
At first, my heart was sad and “broken.”

“I didn’t raise her to be “crazy and wild…”
“How could this happen to a wonderful child?”

I realized that in spite of everything
 parent’s will do.
There’s no telling what their
children will put them through.

I gave her a hug and all of the
 support I could give…
Everything she’s been through…
 God will forgive!

With all that has happened in her life…
One day she’ll make someone a wonderful wife!

Dear Lord, please help my daugher to see...
How precious she is to her mother and me!

Still In Love

Still In Love... My son came to me with a question on his mind. I said; “Not now son— I just don't have the time.” He said, “Daddy—are you still in love with Mommy?” “Do you love her like you did when I was in her tummy?” My eyes choked with tears; “Yes son I really do!” “I'm in love with her... and I appreciate you.” “Daddy—will you always love me like you do mom?” “Yes my son—my love for you will always belong.” I looked down and much to my surprise. There were tears running down my sons's eyes. He came running to me with his arms wide open. “Thank you daddy” were his words spoken. I picked him up and gave him a great big hug. As I let him down, on my shirt I felt a tug. His little arm reached up to grab my hand. I knew that what I said, he began to understand. I love his mom so much—my wonderful wife. Ethanol

While some enjoy it without any regret,
other's see it as a threat.

I have seen what it can do to a life,
for the victim is my dear wife.

For I know she is not the only one in the world who has endured much suffering,
damn you liquor store or bartender about to serve a rum sling.

She is not the lush with this wretched disease,
but the one that is loved she cannot appease.

I've always said that her ambition to help and assist this poor soul was a waste,
and yet this person cannot be replaced.

The deception, desperation, destruction to ones self would make you ask "why"?,
try to understand it and you'll break down and cry.

It appears now that this person cannot be saved even though she has knocked
at deaths door,
as hard as this request from me is "this woman you must IGNORE".

Self pity will get you nowhere fast,
the addiction will surely outlast.

Ethanol oh! ethanol another life you have claimed,
you are not a person or living thing that can be blamed.

Why? is all I can ask about pretty much everything, why?

Do you really want to hear the answer?

Or the excuse that has destroyed your trust?

You must let go, you must move on,
before all that you are inside is gone.

WHO Built YOUR House

This house of ours is “plain.”
But is still standing.
We’re “simple folks...”
 By many people’s understanding…

We may not have much of what is
“socially appealing”…
But we have love in our hearts.
And this is a good feeling!

We may not be “wrapped up” in much
 of this world’s entertainment.
But we seek God’s peace
and a desire for contentment.

We, as a family, have one purpose
 and “calling” in mind.
To seek God’s ways of being
 merciful and kind…

Each day we pray with much
 thankfulness in our hearts…
For this is where happiness
 and gratitude starts!

We’re thankful to the Lord for
 his unfailing grace…
And for keeping us together
 in this special place…

We’re blessed to have a God who
 is truly worth finding.
His word in our lives is precious
  and worth memorizing!

“Unless the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain that build it!”
God must rule and reign…
So his love can completely fill it!

Tears

If tears could be measured in quantity, If tears could be weighed, If tears could be drinking water, A lot would go to waste. If tears had colours, Then I’ve already cried a rainbow. If tears were words, It’ll take forever to read. I don’t know if I’m a stupid fool, But I’ve cried enough To fill an entire pool. My emotions are shredded rags, The feeling of abandonment Is all that resides. Emptiness is lurking. And all that’s pushing: The tears from my eyes. Just leaving me more emptier than before. And all that commotion? Just because I dare To love and care.

I Didn't Know HOw Good I Had It Until I Lost Everything I Owned

I didn't know how good I had it,
until I lost all that I owned.
I lost my famly, all of my cars
and even my home.

I tried to live a life according
 to a "good principle."
I let pride get in the way and
 felt rather "invincible."

I once had money, wealth and a lot of fame.
It seemed like everyone around
 me all knew my name.

I feel empty now... afraid....
and "at my wit's end."
Everyone. it seems, has left me.
 Even my "close friend.

Jesus... You're the one I know
that I can call upon.
You make things "right"
when all seems "wrong."

What you can give to me,
money could never buy.
I humbly kneel before you Lord,
with a desperate cry.

PLease help me dear Jesus.
 I know that you can.
I read in your word that you are;
"I AM that I AM!"

In YOU... Jesus... can I
 find life's meaning.
Your life for mine, is what I'm now receiving.

You're my best friend whom
I love so much.
I long for your mercy and peace...
your "special touch."

You alone can bring true joy that
fortune could never give.
You brought me hope and peace
 and a reason to live!

Out on the beach with an amazing guy. The sun's so pretty, the sun's so bright. We're walking and talking about all our good times, against the world, hand in hand. Smiling and walking on the beautiful LA sand. We sit on a bolder and watch the sun set. It's an amazing day, one I will never forget. You slip your arm around me as we as we look at the beautiful sea. "I love you," I say as we feel the cool evening breeze. "I love you too," you say and pull out a small black box. I look at you, smile, and my heart stops. You open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?" you ask as my eyes fill with tears and my heart starts to sing. My smile gets wider as I say "yes". You pull me close to your chest. I gently kiss you as a tear rolls down my cheek. You brush it away and smile at me. "I love you," I say one more time. "I love you to baby," you say as you smile, "now your deffinitly all mine."

Today's the day, the day that starts the rest of our life. The day you become my husband, the day I become your wife. The last time I saw you was last night. But I woke up to a beautiful sight. A bouque of beautiful red roses lie on your pillow with a note on top. "I love you," it says, "and I can't wait to see you." I smile and whisper "I love you too." I take a shower and walk down to the beach to see how much is done. I step onto the hot sand and I feel the hot sun. It's almost done so I start to head home. I need to here your voice so I call your phone. "Hey babe," you say, "is everything okay?" I tell you everythings fine, I just need to hear you. I tell you I love you. You tell me you love me too. You say you have to go but you'll see me soon. "Okay, I love you," I say and look at the clock, it's almost noon. "I love you too," you say and the line goes dead. I look in the mirror and put my hands on my head. I smile and start to get ready for tonight. The first night of m new life.

I take a look in the mirror one last time. Just to make sure my beautiful dress is fine. I walk down to the beach and wait by the gate. I fix my veil and look at my friend. "You look amazing," she says and puts some flowers in my hand. "Thanks," I say and smile. I can't wait to walk down the aisle.

Did The Lord Build Your House

This house of ours is “plain.”
But is still standing.
We’re “simple folks...”
 By many people’s understanding…

We may not have much of what is
“socially appealing”…
But we have love in our hearts.
And this is a good feeling!

We may not be “wrapped up” in much
 of this world’s entertainment.
But we seek God’s peace
and a desire for contentment.

We, as a family, have one purpose
 and “calling” in mind.
To seek God’s ways of being
 merciful and kind…

Each day we pray with much
 thankfulness in our hearts…
For this is where happiness
 and gratitude starts!

We’re thankful to the Lord for
 his unfailing grace…
And for keeping us together
 in this special place…

We’re blessed to have a God who
 is truly worth finding.
His word in our lives is precious
and worth memorizing!

“Unless the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain that build it!”
God must rule and reign…
So his love can completely fill it!

The Price of Faith 11122011

… WHAT YOUR CHILDREN MIGHT BE PRESERVED UNHARMED WISDOM 19:5

MY FATHER’S FAMILY left Russia in 1917
At the urging of their parish priest
“If you want to keep your children safe in the faith
Go to America!”

German-Speaking Russians
Soon afterward their 13 year old daughter
Margaret had been raised in the Church
The Family continued to trust in God

Today we honor St. Josaphat, patron of the Ukraine
He was a man who loved his country
Loved his Church even more
Speaking courageously about unity with Rome at a time of schism and division
His bold stand eventually cost him his life

St. Josaphat
Like Margaret’s family, reminds us
That trust in God
Is the only source of true safety

life's insight

I had to be strong and not falter
Remember our wedding day?
You ran from the alter
Didn’t want to talk to anyone wanted to be alone
Remember our conversation on the cellphones?
You expressed your doubts
And began to shout
Recalling a fight from moths ago
When friends and us all went out

I embraced you with words
And foiled your concerns
We both couldn’t ignore
What our hearts yearned

We shed our tear
And shared a cry
Look at us now
We’re doing fine
2 years later a beautiful lady
Hugs, kissed, and endless smiles
Expecting our first baby

What a good mother
 You never scold
Lilly Ann we hoard like treasure
That’s our precious gold

We shed tears
And shared a cry
Look at us now
We are a family with our own house
And we are doing fine

Preach

Preach to the full moon soldier
It's all you've got left as the nights grow colder

Mother has child that father denies
Leaves when his baby lets out those first cries
Excuses flying, lies sailing; words without care
Feelings are complicated so share you don't dare
Lips that smile hold some bruises and a cut
Hands that have done the damage slam the door shut
You watch him out the window glass
Retreating figure gone at last

Preach to the full moon soldier
It's all you've got left as the nights grow colder

Things get harder, mothers fired
Baby is toddler and much too tired
Money is in short supply
If only father would just comply
To help raise his growing kid
Instead he ran and lost his bid
A single tear stains the cheek
Of a mother's soul who's much too weak

Preach to the full moon soldier
It's all you've got left as the nights grow colder

Mothers dead, everything's blown
Toddler is small child left alone
Father drunk, stumbling back
Custody left to this piece of slack
Days are long and too far gone
Nights are worse, he's never done
Talking his beer scented words speaking
He says to his child be kind, PREACHING

Preach to the full moon soldier
It's all you've got left as the nights grow colder

Small child has developed
Distinguished individual moving up
Swearing to the sky blue
They will be nothing like you
Father in jail thief from the night
Cell lit dimly with pal moonlight
A smile to the grown child
A tear from the man of the wild

Preach to the full moon soldier
It's all you've got left as the nights grow colder

What Has Happened To The Family

I remember growing up in a Christian family.
We were content, joyful and quite happy.

Things were "going along rather well."
We loved each other... more than words could tell.

I think of the special love
between mom and dad.
As my parents... I was proud and glad!

Over the years that rolled on by.
Something happened. I don't know why.

Our deep love became
replaced with "excuses."
Our relationshps filed with
 "barsh words and bruises."

This family... I once held so close to my heart.
Began to "unravel and fall apart."

Our love for another became bitter and cold.
Even to the day we're "growing old."

Everywhere... it is evident and appearing.
The family as a unit is quickly disappearing.

We must come together and
remove all bitterness.
And walk in God's love and his forgiveness!

We must appreciate one another--
in spite of our faults!
Standing together on Godly principles
brings good results!

It we insist on "going our separate ways."
We'll be sorry "one of these days!"

The family is what God has put together.
It needs to be rooted in love--
both now and forever!

HIS love needs to be the glue
that binds us as one.
Blessing every mom and dad...
daughter and son!

I've Failed You Once Again

I Have Failed…

Lord, I have failed you time and time again,
By hanging on to my unrepentant sin.
I once thought, “my life will never get off track,”
Until that one day when I committed such a
terrible act.

“No one’s watching me” was what I thought,
not knowing the pain and suffering into my family
I had brought.
That one night of “pleasure” I hoped would go away,
but this sin stares me in the face every single day!

The lust that crept into my once cheerful heart,
Is now eating at me—tearing me all apart.
I once thought I was too good to commit a sin like this,
so many of God’s blessings I now will miss.

To you Jesus—my whole heart I ask you to cleanse.
for in you my whole life now depends.
Create in me a clean heart, renew a right spirit
within me.
Your forgiveness in my life is what others must see.

The most important thing to God I can now give,
Is a broken and contrite heart each day I shall live!

Make Your Family FIRST

Make Your Family First! I know a person who had “a change of heart.” And very shortly his family “fell apart.” He was involved in doing “so many things.” He neglected the duty of what family brings! He became so involved in helping others… He neglected his wife and his kids’ mother! At first, he had the best of intentions… But failed to give his family any kind of attention! He was so busy, and away from home so much. It didn’t take long for him to be “out of touch.” Very soon he found his life “way off course…” And heading down the path of a divorce! He began to ask himself the question; “why?” As he began to hear all of his kids cry! Beyond all of the chaos and “chatter.” He decided that his family DOES matter! He quit doing many of the things he once did. And asked all of his family to please forgive! He’s now the kind of dad that he needs to be! And is with his family so faithfully! May this be a lesson and reminder to us all! How quickly we can get up. How quickly we can fall! May we put an effort into our family as number one! Every mom and dad! Daughter and son! Invisi-Girl's Adventures

When Invisi- Girl was very young,
She was not worth stopping,
She would always end up spying or snooping,
And even a little eaves-dropping.

She would always be punished, punished harshly,
For listening in on others,
Yet even though she would punish her,
Invisi-Girl still loved her mother.

One tragic day, her mother died,
And her father was devastated,
But when her father decided to remarry,
Invisi-Girl was not elated.

One frightening day,
her step-mother said,
"Give me all your money,
Or you will be dead."

Invisi-Girl's father tried to help,
Her father tried to stop her,
But then the wife accidentally shot him,
When she meant to shoot her,

Invisi-Girl lived a horrible life,
Ever since the day her father died,
She waited on her step-mother hand and foot,
And would always let out a good cry.

The day Invisi-Girl had her twentieth birthday,
her powers she did discover,
Invisi-Girl could vanish into thin air,
And best of all she could hover.

One day she decided to make a plan,
One that her step-mother would not expect,
This expert plan would be only one,
That Invisi-Girl could detect.

ONe day Invisi-Girl used her powers,
And her step-mom she did destroy,
She finally restored the family's treasures,
And brought herself inner joy.

I Love You

I love you is more than just my words,

It is this deep down driving force of a silent sound.

Love is a magnet igniting sparks to try higher light.

Love connects beaming light twinkling at midnight.

Unmistakably, I’m assured audibly to get this heard.

I love you is more than me,

Love is pending in the depths of me I touch.

This is more than what I can realistically feel.

It is a bargainer’s deal for the sweetest steal.

Evidently, I run wild because I set it all free!

I love you is less than you,

It is an uncut gashing wound,

With lifetimes of a scored scar,

It is a typhoon of who you are,

Apparently, it is difficult to do!

I love you is less than them,

It is always lost,

It is never found,

It binds to a cost,

Hearts are bound.

I love just like you,

And you love just like me!

I swear to my God Almighty from up above my heart is pure and true!

I really do embellish everything my love is suppose to do just for you!

Forever and ever, the whole world shall open their eyes daily to see!

In lieu of this unconditional love, it is here I will always want to be!

Girl, How Could You

Walked down the aisle
Girl you did, by his side
Promised before God to your man
The boys came along
Adding notes to your song
The stave that tucked in and held those notes was you
You held your boys and held your man.

Girl, how could you break your own stave
Oh see, the notes are now drifting away
They are crying, can’t you see them dying
What is a note without its song?
How on earth did things go wrong?

See your sweet boys
Learning to live a lie
With their father they drench their pillows at night
They miss your voice
You can’t cover up with toys
Their sad eyes show the heart that took a blow
Oh girl, how could you just leave and go?

Girl, when your feet are tired of wandering around
You search for those roots that should be underground
Girl, don’t you know, roots take time to grow
Fruits are reaped only where seeds were sown
It was for you to build that place
You once called Home.

Ghazal: Now that she's left and gone to be herself again

Ghazal : Now she’s left and gone to be herself again

Now she’s left and gone away, my clothes hang dry
On the line for all to see – what a crying shame !

The lone cuckoo calls out in a haunting tone
Who hears him down here but on wing – what a shame !

Pigeons and crows balance on the clothes-line
And their droppings stain the sheets – Oh open shame !

She’s gone with shrieks from the magpies that dark day
And left me with her first born – Block my shame !

Baby cries for all to hear recall her voice
Where will it hide its face - Oh growing shame !

The musang miaows its woes in the jackfruit tree
Now that the wild she-cat roams in wayward shame

Baby gapes out the window and wonders why
If earth and sky witness bear – painful shame !

Would that the mother hear the cuckoo call
And lift her head to listen to quell my shame

The jackfruit’s ripe and sags at the tree trunk
A moaning woman at child birth - no shame

The puffed monsoon pulls its South-West skirts up
And floods the rice fields with tears, bitter shame !

Hamadryad’s hypnotic eyes turn ire red
Fate keeps the mongoose from common death – O Shame !

Still the baby’s cries in my ears call to you
What will I tell her later – wipe out shame ?

My own shame mixed with no name to call my own
No Elephant God of Wisdom can blot out shame !

Forever-Part 2

Pacabells cannon starts to play. The gates open and everyone looks my way. Beautiful black and red roses line the red carpet that leads to you. You look amazing tonight too. I look at my white dress as I step into the setting sun. The light catches the black sparkles and roses on my dress and makes me look beautiful, makes me feel like one. A black rose on this beautiful LA sand. A black rose that belongs to a wonderful man. I slowly walk down the aisle. I walk up to you and I smile. There's black and red roses on the alter and I get up ther. I can smell their sweet fregrance in the warm evening air. The paster starts as I look at you. You say you vouls and I say mine too. You say "I do," and I do the same too. You slip yet another beautiful ring on my finger and kiss me so sweetly. We hold hands and walk back down the beautiful rose lined aisle.

We walk to the peir where there are beautiful lights hung up everywhere. I spin to look at the beauty and you lean in close to me and say, "wait here." You walk up to the DJ and request and smile as a familure tune comes on. I continue to smile and I take your hand. you walk me back out onto the beautiful sand. "Our first dance," you say. My smile gets bigger when I here Amazed starts to play. You pull me closer to you as we start to move from side to side. My nourvousness is hard to hide. "You okay beautiful?" you ask softly as you gently run your hand through my hair. "Yeah baby, I'm fine," I say as I see people gather around and stare. We dance and we sway sweetly and quietly. We kiss and dance slowly. We kiss again and you start to sing along with the song. I've been waiting for this day, I've been waiting so long.

We'r walking on the beach again. hand in hand. you still in your tux, I'm still in my dress. This is our future. Together. Forever. The setting sun catches my ring. It shines brightly. "I love you," I say and we kiss again. "I love you too," you say and gently pick me up.

You carry me back up to the house. You carry me up sairs and lay me on our bed. You lay beside me and gently kiss my head.

We lay there and talk for hours and hours. We smile and laughas our future stretches on in front of us.

If the Table Were Turned

You ask of people small things to do
But it seems like it’s so hard for them to do.
You say to yourself, “If the table were turned,
I would not have done this thing to you.”
You find yourself in certain situations,
And you ask individuals for their help.
But you’re left high and dry and all alone,
And once again you are all by yourself.
You know the saying goes,
What goes around comes around the same.
But some of the things that has happened to me,
I would not want those things to happen to anyone else by name.
Sometimes, the way we react,
Others do not understand,
But if the table were turned,
I guarantee you;
You would not find another like me in the land.
We do things to other people,
And you wonder if the table was turned;
Would you get treated the way you should have been,
Or would you end up just getting burned.
I know that we are going to reap, that which we sow,
Our character has to get tested.
And that’s how people would really know;
That if the table were actually turned,
It would show the kind of reaction or blow.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO, OR HOW WOULD YOU REACT, IF THE TABLE WERE TURNED!!!

Am I Shiny?

Cover up the blemishes
Hide the little blackheads
Smooth over the redness
Creating perfection
Covering emotion
With thick black glue
Darken in those brows
To match stained expectations
Rosy red cheeks
And sparkling pink lips
You’ll never see my deception
In a purely natural state
Dazzled by fluttering eyes
Seduced by sensual lips
Underneath the false
My plainness sneaks away

The Roof

When they were burning the huts outside,
Bringing down the roofs and orphaning those inside...
Unaware and protected from their wrath,
I understood 'love'in your warmth...

When they made a hero out of me,
Irrespective of how ordinary my actions be...
Under your shield, I made the correct choice,
Building character and maintaining poise...

When in everything they saw only my ill,
And inside, i too was loosing my will...
Through that tunnel all darkening,
In your caresses, I kept walking...

My roof, for all your strife,
I owe you much more than my life...
Feel blessed to have you, my roof,
For once God's presence needs no worldly proof...

Dedicated to the people who have done everything in their capacity to help you be what you wanted to be....our Gods on earth!!!

Purpose

I've always wondered what I wanted to be A beautiful bird that flies or a fish in the sea? A rocky mountain to climb to the very top Or simply a mother and wife to tie the knot I've always said I could be what I wanted to be Or a stationary plum or sweet apple tree A stream that sings you lullabies to sleep Or a scary spider or snake --- free to creep It wasn't until tonight what I wanted to be I recall An author, mother, wife, and Officer of the Law A colorful shape to fight evil on good's side But also a mother and wife I want to confide An author of poetry --- I'll write to my full emotion A mother of a son whom I'll love with all devotion A wife to a man who Heaven and Earth I will move And an Officer of Law to bring the town good news Of all of my purposes the questions I've asked Of all this wasted time inside I have basked I believe tonight I answered my life's purpose And established the starting stone of a new surface

Flee Immorality And Seek God's Purity

Flee Immorality And Seek God’s Purity! God’s word says to “flee from sexual immorality.” And to seek HIS wholesomeness and purity! It reminds us that our flesh “wars against our soul.” From every temptation, we must let go! With each day, there’s a battle that rages on… It’s a battle for doing what is right or wrong! God’s word must be the moral compass for our direction. We need to seek his word for much needed correction! We need to present our lives as pure to God above… And seek to be filled with his goodness and love! We need to be filled with things virtuous and good. We ought to live as a follower of Christ should! We must run fast from the “sinful traps” we encounter! We need to seek his holiness, majesty and power! God wants for each of us HIS very best! All ungodly things in our life need to be “put to rest!” God’s will in each of us, needs to be our goal! For only Jesus can truly make us complete and whole! Why not allow God’s to give you peace and contentment? And give him your life with a 100% commitment? By Jim Pemberton

Is Your Life Running On EMPTY

Is your life running
on empty fumes?
Are the adversities and stress
 of life being consumed?

Any zeal and passion for God
 may be in the past…
You wonder; “How long is life
 going to last???”

Perhaps you feel like your
 anchor’s “been lost at sea…”
And ask; “Lord…
Why is this happening to me?”

Things in life often
 catch us “unaware…”
You may ask; “does anyone
 out there really care?”

There is someone who
 can help you along!
In Jesus’ arms of mercy
 is where you belong!

He walked this earth and
calmed the sea of Galilee…
He’ll calm the storms
of life for you and me!

Won’t you give him a chance...
 To calm your fears?
And allow his love to
 wipe away any tears?

He’ll bring peace to a
 hopeless situation…
All you need to do…
Is to give him an invitation…

The choice is yours…
It’s your decision to make!
Won’t you do it now? Before it’s too late???

I love me Black woman

I love me black woman
whom God created from the sand
the black woman that I adore
she has my eyes allure
she's my first virgin born and pure
I bade in her wisdom, power, acceptance and I am sure
She's definitely the one
that has given me a special son.
I love me black woman with vision
she's ahead with an incredible mission.
i love me black woman with passion
the quality of her blossom that I cannot ignore
in my mind she has never been bored.
I love me black woman from the very top of her head toward her bottom feet.
I love me black woman all the time
wouldn't dare trade her for a dime.
I would have write the more ,but there wouldn't be space
to describe how much a black woman worth.
She's the mother of all earth
given a gift with an unbelievable birth.
Who wouldn't love a black woman
in such case is ignant.
to abuse a black woman, I dare not
She's my black woman beautiful within and out
she's all that I 'm bout
a black woman a red rose to be
I can't help myself but see
that a black woman is all that
Precious, fragile and magnificently phat
I love me black woman.

Jesus The BEST Ingredient For LIFE

The Best "Ingredient!"

While many in life seek
 what is "convenient."
They often are missing
 a major "ingredient..."

This ingredient forms
 what "makes up the dough..."
I'm talking about what can
truly enrich your soul!

This ingredient will make your
 life 100% complete.
And will bring wholeness from
your head to your feet...

It's Jesus! The most important
 part of "life's recipe..."
Without him. All is lost. Can't you see???

His love is the bond that can put
your life back together...
His presence is here now...
 And can be yours forever!

Allow him to bring the sweetness
 that only he can bring...
He alone is our righteousness...
 Our everything!

Only he can bring the joy
you desparately seek.
And will bless your life.
Each day of the week!

He's the "ingredient" to life...
That you've been looking for!.
He can supply your every need.
  And so much more!

He truly is what makes
the "perfect blend."
And is here right now. Why not let him in???

Wounded

Lonely and alone, single now with the children my only comfort and yet a reminder.
The divorce a tug of war between me and her for what once was mine, I thought.
My heart lies languid and still a deep dark mountain pool, without flutter or ripples.
The waves and white water emotions will come flooding in after dark.
Our little ones must not glimpse in me the ugly cuts and scars of your infidelity.
I force myself into our once cramped now too empty bed.
I can now cry quietly in solitude for love and affection like a wounded animal.
I silently scream to be touched, to be reached for, and to be desired.
I miss you I still love you I would forgive you I still want you, Joe where are you?
I hide in the shadows of my despair, dream of killing her, torturing painfully and slowly?
I’ll be gouging out her eyes with one degrading glare a smile and a snicker.
I’m gutting her slowly with only the nightly beckoning of my little finger.
A tryst in the Sykes parking lot in the back seat of our car inches from your son’s safety seat.
Pass a silent gift a potential killer and ruin her womanhood and child bearing potential, almost taking her life.
Rip apart her family with whispered AM phone calls and PM come hither stares.
Strip her self-esteem and ego depositing them without remorse in a blender set to puree.
I would do to her all that she has done to me and more, I am lonely, alone, single now and only them to thank.

After All These Years Still IN LOVE

Still In Love...
My son came to me with
a question on his mind.
I said; “Not now son—
I just don't have the time.”

He said, “Daddy—are you still
in love with Mommy?”
“Do you love her like you did when
I was in her tummy?”

My eyes choked with tears;
“Yes son I really do!”
“I'm in love with her...
and I appreciate you.”

“Daddy—will you always love
me like you do mom?”
“Yes my son—my love for you
will always belong.”

I looked down and much
to my surprise.
There were tears running
down my sons's eyes.

He came running to me with
his arms wide open.
“Thank you daddy” were his words spoken.

I picked him up and gave
him a great big hug.
As I let him down, on my shirt I felt a tug.

His little arm reached up to grab my hand.
I knew that what I said,
he began to understand.

I love his mom so much—my wonderful wife.
She's been such a blessing-
a great part of my life!

Are You Having An Affair

I don't think many people
are aware...
of the dangers of having
"an affair."

Adultery begins with a lustful thought
captured in the mind.
It's been part of sins's curse,
 since the beginning of time.

Many aren't sure how they're
 going to react.
Until the day they're caught
 in an adulterous act.

By this time... they're love for
 their spouse is broken.
When the words; "I love you"...
 to another... are spoken.

Soon... their home become
"turned around" and divided.
As their commitment and loyalty
become undecided.

The family soon become "
one huge mess..."
As the love "for another person"
becomes "obsessed."

You may find yourself in this
kind of situation.
Perhaps you're in
 "deep desparation."

Run from this person as
fast as your can!
Come to the cross and
reach for Jesus' hand!

Confess your sin to your spouse
 and call on Jesus' name.
You have only yourself...
no one else... to blame.

Allow Jesus to 100% be
the Lord of your life.
As you brings you together
as husband and wife!

Let him restore your marriage
and make it complete.
Come to him now and
lay your sin at his feet.

His love in your marriage is
forever and binding!
His commitment to you is
a love worth finding!

Dear Mom And Dad

Are you the same mom and dad
I used to know?
Since I left the house…
many years ago?

Both who carefully taught
me the Christian ways.
Don’t seem to care
what the Bible says.

You were there to give correction
with a belt in hand.
But now are doing things…
 I don’t understand.

What happened to the father’s love
I once seen in your eyes?
You’ve somehow twisted God's
truth into corruptible lies.

You’ve broken my heart
dear mom and dad.
I’m praying for you…
but my heart grows sad.

Please… Just this once…
 Listen to me!
I want the Godly parents
you used to be!

Please make me proud of the
parents I once knew.
And know that I really love
and appreciate you.

You’re my mom and dad…
You’re the world to me.
And you’re special to God...
It’s plain to see!

May your days be blessed and
God’s presence fill your soul.
I will always love you no matter
where you may go.

Thanks mom and dad for reading
this “special letter.”
With God on board…
Things will get better!

A Visit by the Mother-in-Law

A Visit by the Mother-in-Law

By Elton Camp

My mother-in-law lives in another state
Her annual visits I most intensely hate
For her daughter, I wasn’t good enough
So, from the old crone I get lots of guff

“To Mother you better be nicer this time.
She will regret calling you a ball of slime.”
Unless wife I obey and welcome the grouch,
Then for two weeks, I’ll sleep on the couch

So I did everything that my wife had asked
My welcome of Mom Bea was unsurpassed
I had a vase of flowers waiting in her room
And I was careful as to how dress and groom

I made sure the yard was all mowed and neat
And practiced the best way our guest to greet
Nothing at all must go wrong on this trip
I was determined not to make a single slip

“Come in, Mother Bea, and stay a long while.
Your visits are welcome and make me smile.”
But I will admit that it almost made me gag
To have to talk so sweet to that mean old hag

“Son, I am so glad to learn you feel that way.
I feel ashamed and don’t know what to say.”
I told her that the problems we had had before
I’d see that they never will happen any more

Our four-year-old son from his room came out
To see just what all the friendly talk was about
“Hello there you sweet little dear, Gram is here.
Into this dismal home you do bring such cheer.”

Joey then ran over and climbed up into her lap
Around him, Mother Bea her arms did wrap
Our son looked at me and so loudly he calls
“You’re right, Dad, she smells like mothballs.”

An Early Morning Summons

On a cloudless morning
I awoke to the incessant pounding on my door.
A firm voice on the other side.
A stranger calling my name.
He repeats his call.
Looking out, I see his stripes,
Boots shining brightly,
crisply pressed uniform.
Dread fills my soul
with trembling fingers
I unlock the door.
He asks for me by name.
I confirm.
With tears in his eyes
He tells me the worst.
Of how sorry he is to inform.
Of how I should be proud.
How our country has lost another
proud soldier in this fight.
I say thank you, tears fill my eyes
and I wonder how
I will tell her wife
that has no rights.

Mother

"God is mother in a childs eyes."
Thats what I have always been told, But what is a child in their mother's eyes?
A child is; life, love, and Everything.
From the day she first holds her child to the day she lets them go into the world alone.
The child is what keeps her going, what motivates her to live.

If a mother loses her child she loses her reason to go on, even knowing that the child
would want her too. She knows she cant...Not without them.

Unreciprocated Adoration

Father’s first love.
Whipped spirit nurtures new life.
Unreciprocated adoration.
100 kisses of a tickling ‘stashe.
Mother: face down, step forward.
Feel pain, never expose.
Teenage sweetheart.
Stunted growth.
Teenage father.
Juvenile protector.
Baby crying.
Manipulation?
Nothing in focus. Thick smoke.
Another blow-up.
Develops a reflex.
A broken heart still Beats. Beats. Beats.

The Persons We Are 11072011

BEFORE A WORD IS ON MY TONGUE, BEHOLD, O LORD, YOU KNOW THE WHOLE OF IT PSALM 139:4

MY SPOUSE AND A FEW close friends have been known to finish my sentences
Before I do
Some could find this annoying
But I don’t

For it illustrates just how well these special people know
Understand me
It can be exhilarating to be known so well by another
But at times I find it scary too, because it can make me feel more vulnerable

If someone knows me well
Then they also know what hurts me
What causes my heart to ache
Presumably how to manipulate my emotion

We may not feel worthy of God’s attention or desire
It may seem scary, but God would never prey on our vulnerability
God Savors the persons we are
Persons formed in God’s own image and likeness

Gods Christmas Gift

It was one of those times; one of those sincere discussions;
She told me about my fathers words to her when he was on his death bed.
What he asked her may seem funny to some;
What he asked her was to make sure I had a warm jacket and shoes every winter.
At the time I was already in my forties but I guess it didn’t matter to him.

Then we talked about the time we walked in to his hospital room;
My father immediately said he was confused.
I asked him “Dad do you know who I am”?
He said yes I do but why are you so old and she’s so young;
He was pointing at my wife Susan; but I knew it wasn’t her he saw.

He was seeing my mother long passed; here’s the thing about that;
I saw that my wife had the same spirit as my mother years before.
We all believe my mother was there to take him and who better to use as a catalyst.
I never had a chance to see my mother but I know her; she lives in me and is part of me.
I couldn’t see her right then but I could feel her and I could see Susan too.

As we talked we both had tears in our eyes and I think we were both a bit overwhelmed;
I could see how lifetime experiences can never be forgotten or dismissed.
So I asked her why she betrayed me like she did;
And that I could maybe forgive her if I could just understand why.
When she spoke I heard truth and I finally understood why.

So I forgave her and accepted the circumstances and the part I played in it all;
To what end remains to be seen but the pain seems to have been lifted from me.
As we broke the conversation off I began to reflect on the entire topic;
There were no definitive conclusions but what I did feel was;
My Father and my Mother had come to see me for Christmas.

Call me crazy, tell me it’s wishful thinking; even say I’m delusional;
I saw it, I heard it and I felt it; it happened and I won’t be denied.
I learned to be a real man from the pain I suffered;
My ego and sex no longer dominate or motivate my relationships;
And God in his mercy gave me the best Christmas ever

Jesus Is A True Foundation For Your Marriage

As a child, in church, I was raised.
Taught the Bible
and the Christian ways.

At an early age, I invited Jesus in.
Learning what was right
and what was sin.

I looked up to my parents--I really did.
I was so proud of the
way they lived.

They were the world to me--
I was so proud.
Then one day there appeared
a very dark cloud.

This cloud hovered over my parents,
whom I loved so dear.
Soon the ugly face of divorce
was soon to appear.

I prayed for them-
I desperately tried.
The many nights I lay
awake and cried.

How could this happen?
 I often wondered.
To have a wonderful marriage
so utterly plundered.

A sin crept in--and was
allowed to prevail.
Soon this marriage
began to fail.

Let this be a warning to me and to all.
Playing with sin will cause us to fall.

If your life is heading
toward a separation,
build your marriage on Jesus--
a true foundation!

He can Do what no
other power can do...
And give NEW meaning
to the words; "I LOVE YOU!"

August Eighth

Chapter One
Boy into the West

Dawn upon my cloak
Urged and so converged were the guns
Seeding myself with the rest

I broke in the eye of the Sun
Settling my mind on the heartless rapist. Time
Rasterize the faces

So thumb through the annals
Purged and so emerged fleshy etchings of this child
Breast wheels churn uncertainly

Moistened embers dance to the deafening drum
Tidal ducts offer piquant waters of the Pacific coffer
I arrive on the sands

Chapter Two
Hole in the Wall

Deserted in this mind
Hover in and now behind
Stare blank up through the ceiling stucco

Gathering in the stench of ghastly breath of wine
The New Year clothes itself topside
Unfashionable walls crush youthful spirit I drink alone, until morning

Demons of mine in lethargy
Gnawed and sluggish slivers bond my illness
Horizons of hues of shapes the girl knowing

Waking sweat cools slyly treats itself to my tongue
Warmth of girl takes my breath save the end of I prepare
God, are you there?

Chapter Three
Erosion

All in the deflection
Though his reflection isn't mine
Blood in kind of brotherly loving spiteful me
We close our doors of aid restraining love I have

For angry boys reject the angry drudge
Slave to a toilsome loving grudge
It is raining erosion

Blinding contortion
Why in my hands I can't see you yet
My rock there I can’t see her stand

These matters wash away too comfortably
I the destined rock
To erode on as grain of sand

Chapter Four
Facing the Crow

Give to the death
Long confronting his road
Gurge open those words she once clung on

Hung from the rope he dove to the end
I die decay per diem death
Metaling her heart on his mindless last breath

I survive only by his hand...

Efil

Born so old, so fragile, so wise
Born alone into the world
You miss your wife
She passed without pain
I'm sorry old man, that you left her so lonely
Shuffle through the corridors
She used to sit there and knit
Forget it she's gone
Cry at both of your pains
Throw that cane away old man, your arthritus is gone
Get back to your house
Your children are coming
They're all grown up now
Tell the wife to bring some drinks
You're young old man, but you're over the hill
Go sit in your office
Pushing papers for the man
Your teenagers are reckless
So don't be home late
Keep it together old man, they're just at the age
Slept in again today
You shouldn't be late
With a mortgage to pay,
A wife and a baby
It's okay old man, they aren't babies for long
Come home from the bar
To your bachelor suite
A little cologne sprayed
Maybe you'll get lucky
Take her home old man, she's had a little too much
You stole the car
Not old enough to drive
Try to be everything
But you can't be a hero
You're not a kid old man, but your voice is still cracking
Wait it out now
They're only bullies
Don't tell the teacher
They'll take your lunch money again
Walk it off old man, you're just not big enough
You can cry all you want
It won't make her come
She turned off the moniter
She couldn't stand you anymore
Take it easy old man, you can't even change yourself
You shouldn't move around so much
It makes her so queasy
Just a few more months
And you'll meet the world
Enjoy the womb old man, life only gets harder

ENCHANTED

Over any man who feels lost without love
God gives women divine powers.
They can break our hearts or deflate our ego
And cause us to buy diamonds and flowers.

They have compelled kings and presidents to beg
Wild singles to commit to change their way.
Loving us with pleasures problematic to replace
With flashbacks of their passion night and day.

Women mother our babies who we love till death
For us to raise, protect and provide for.
They contribute revenue, affection and direction
With love, companionship and more.

They insist we never abuse or disgrace them
Cheat, lie or take their love for granted.
Which helps us to become more than we are
In love and totally enchanted.

The Daughter

Today I lived my life with ghosts
Both living and dead
Your face, their face
Slipped through my fingers and fell to the floor
Hundreds of pictures of you and them
Hundreds of moments and moments and moments
Too numerous and caught in that web of time
Dangled on a cobweb so thin, so fine
It could break but does not snap
And lasts and lasts
And holds and holds
All there, suspended in that instant
Before falling to the floor,
Or in the box of memories. To be kept.

So where do you reside, in the bin or the box?
Where do you live for future’s worth?
Will you be cut adrift or salvaged in those stepping stones to the past.

And yet, she still picked up those photos of you
Pained and dulled
Still confused and stabbed by what has happened over time.
She saw your face and paused. Reflected.
She then gently collected up those images of you and me
And saved them in the box
One day for all to see in times to come.
She decided not to put you in the bin.
Unlike me.

She rescued her childhood.
Put down a marker in the sand
And said stop to the sea
To the waves and waves
That break over time and pain
Saved you from the blankless pile of Venice and Florence
And Christmas and beaches and Barbies and laughter
And with a simple dignity
She gave you back some worth.

Are YOU Having An Affair

God Gave Me His Love... I Wouldn’t Share It!

God gave me his love. I wouldn’t share it!
The guilt I feel now.
I can’t hardly bear it!

He gave to me blessings and a peace within.
He gave to me joy and a chance to be his friend!

He asked that I give to others what I received.
His life for others is what he’s achieved!

When God needed me, I tried to run and hide.
I was filled with selfishness and pride!

Though I had accepted him
and was born again…
I wasn’t interested in
reaching souls for HIM!

Deep inside me there was a voice
 that began to stir!
Christ helped me to have
  Victory so true and secure!

He helped me with his words of love spoken…
I wanted to be his vessel! Not just a “token.”

His spirit is with me each day that I live!
I want others to know of his power to forgive!

Won’t you share the love that he’s given to you?
Won’t you give back to the one
 who truly LOVES YOU?

His love is everlasting and hard to contain!
You’ll find all that you need
when you call on his name!

Reunion

It was a moment that transcended time
We were all unable to stay calm
Our emotions were at their most prime
Seven years since my wife had seen her mom

Years ago, when my wife left her nation
She had to leave her family behind
Her life was full of loss and of frustration
Never, were they too far from her mind

Their words were said without their being spoken
Their embrace could crush the strongest ever
A mother - daughter bond can not be broken
Their reunion was captured forever

The energy expelled could build a bomb
Seven years since my wife had seen her mom

a dog and divorce

A dog and divorce

I had a dog, a bitch, she loved me. I also had a wife, children Gabriel
and Apple. Apple? I know my wife she wanted to be trendy. We lived
downtown at a place that had been gentrified. When twins were six
my wife divorced me, ok; she got the house, car, twins and the dog.
I had to take a bus to work, which happened to drive passed her house.
Dog saw me and followed the bus. At work she sat outside, refused
to leave, I took her in she curled by my desk. Called my ex, she came,
picked up the dog. The next week dog was waiting outside my office.
One day, she wasn’t there nor the next days. Called the ex: is dog ok?
“I took her to the vet, she was jumpy it was best for her. This upset me.
My ex didn’t want me to see the twins, put many barriers in the way,
I gave up. Twenty years later she died, after the funeral the twins asked
why I never saw them? I told them, your mother didn’t want me too.
They thought I should have tried more. They were right, I didn’t care
enough they were too much like their mother it was the dog I missed
a creature that loved me and didn’t treat me like a bloody piggy bank.

WANDERING Eyes

Wandering Eyes...

Have you been captured by
the wandering of your eyes?
Things you once held as true and
wholesome-- you now despise.

Have you been “captured”
by an outward beauty?
Thereby neglecting your
God-given duty?

Has your soul been consumed with
sin's all-consuming fire?
With an uncontrollable appetitie
and an ungodly desire.

In your heart, is the Holy Spirit
an uninvited guest?
No wonder your life is in
such a huge mess!

Your head is filled with fantasies
and temptations of every kind.
You pretend on the outside. But you've
lost control of your mind.

For your failures—you have
only yourself to blame.
Now's the time to repent—
and call on Jesus' name!

Though your sins be red as scarlet--
they can be washed as white as snow.
Only Jesus can be true peace and
satisfaction to your troubled soul.

Are Things In Your Life Out Of Place

Are Things In Life "Out Of Place?"

I visited a garage sale. And had a
surprised look on my face.
I noticed that some things
 were "out of place."

To my right... Was a shelf filled with books..
And Christian ones too.
To my left...  Was a sign that read;
"I have adult movies for you."

I wondered and thought with
some kind of amazement.
"Does this person read these books.
 And watch this "entertainment?"

This is common in many Christian homes...
Often... People cross God's
"boundaries" and "safety zones."

Anyone can go to church.
Pray, sing and "shed a tear."
Not realizing that sin's temptation
 is drawing ever so near.

Do you seek God's holiness and the
power of Jesus' name?
But each night... Before bedtime...
 Things aren't quite the same...

Have you opened up your heart
and mind... And live life unfulfilled?
Is this the way you ought to live?
Is this what God has willed?

He desires to live inside of you.
  And help you to discover.
With any stronghold in life.
He'll help you to recover!

Are things in life "out of place?"
And need to be put back together?
Allow God's word to guide you!
His promises are forever!

Everything will be where it should be...
With Jesus In control!
Only he can defeat the enemy that
seeks to destroy your soul!

Happy Women's Day

Nature’s first successful science project,
The fate of the galaxy relies on the changing of your mind.

Curses and gifts.
An uplifting redundancy surrounds the pronunciation
Of all your phases.

Kin to the world.
Keeping the earth well feed
With the fruit of your consideration.

In love with all things young and old.
From high valleys and low roads,
You display many moods and modes,
I try my best to play catch up.
Truth is I’m lost with or without you.

You leap to your feet for good luck,
Only to pass it to the next man.

A fan of peace and laughter,
Determined not spend life cornered by strife.
You stand for right.
But no one understands your plite.

Do you know whom I speak of?

The person with the biggest smile,
And the nicest compliments.
The one that will stay to help you clean after the party’s over.
That hardy cooker. That class act.
The one that got your back, no question about it.

So who could it be?

It is she!
That woman,
That mother,
That girlfriend,
That lover
That gay brother,
That best friend,
And cousin.

The ones you’ve borrowed time,
 Love, money,
Space, ideas,
 And expectation from.

And since I never will be able to pay you back,
I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Happy Belated Mother’s Day!

King David And Bathsheba

There was a great king,
whom did sin and fall.
David. When from his balcony,
Bathsheba he saw.

In his heart... he sinned as
lust was conceived.
A plan of muder in his heart
was soon received.

This sin led to another
and had soon willed.
To have Bathsheba's
husband to be killed.

The consequences of his sin
 was later explained.
His first born died, and his
son Absalom was slain.

Once his sin was conceived,
it brought lust and soon death.
Sin is always this way--
until you take your last breath.

Think of the consequences...
and flee tempation FAST.
Enjoy a victory and blessings
from God that will last!

Do You Hold A Grudge

I knew of a "brother" who held a grudge.
From his position. He wouldn't "budge."

When asked why he held this...
 against a certain person.
Having nothing to do with him.
 He was certain!

The reason for this grudge...
Is probably "silly" to many.
When asked for a good reason.
There wasn't any.

He said; "I don't hold any
kind of unforgiveness."
"What I do..." "It's none of your business!"

"I don't hold a grudge and I
 want to be clear!"
"There are some people...
 I wish weren't here!"

Are there people in your life
who've been "shut out.?"
"Is this what being Christ' example is all about?

Living for Christ is not about who we "avoid."
If a life of Godliness is to be fully enjoyed.

We can make "excuses" to stay
 away from somebody.
This could be your brother.
Neighbor. Or anybody.

Christ gave his life and wants
us to follow his rules...
He knows all about us.... And is never fooled!

May your life be filled with
compassion for every soul.
In doing this... You'll be made
complete and whole!

Discover true freedom. Leave any
"grudges" in the past.
Enjoy true victory in Christ...
And a peace that 'll last!

Woman!

The complete opposite of a man…
Existence is unique and never less than.
Her presence can be compelling and desirable,
Forthright, like a force from nature, unstoppable!
Exuding feminine qualities that are mesmerizing,
So much so, that it’s uncanny and amazingly hypnotizing.
In a noble manner that she sees fit to fashion,
She is capable of undeniable passion.
When she loves, her emotions prevail,
Her warmth and loyalty with adoration we hail,
For her wholesome nurturing shall never fail.
In respect to her genuine, moral sense,
A being that epitomizes beauty and intelligence,
So with this I say with pertinence,
Show a woman honor, respect, to emphasize her importance.

Forever-Part 3

We get off the plane and smell the lovely air. Hawaii. One of the most beautiful places. I look at you and smile. "This place is beautiful," I say, spinning around. "Yes, it is," you say and pull me close. "I love you," I say. I love you too," you say and kiss me. Hand in hand we walk into the setting sun.

The sun's poking through the shades in our room. "Good morning beautiful," you say when I open my eyes. "Good morning," I say and smile. "I've got a surprise for you," you say and smile. I look at you questionably. "Just get dressed and I'll show you." "Okay."

You take my hand and lead me down to the beach. "I heard you've always wanted to do this," you say and smile. You point to two goals. My face lights up. "Sand soccer," I say happily and look at you. You kiss me and smile, "I figured you'd like it." We walk down to the two goals and we'r e put on a team. We play for hours and hours.

When the game is over, we sit on the sand by the shore. "That was fun," I say and look at you. "Yeah, it was," you say and lean in and kiss me. "I love you," I say as you warp your arms around me. "I love you too," you say and smile. We watch the sun set on the beautiful sea before we head back to our room.

The next day we surf. We surf for hours. "This is great baby," you say as we sit on our boards. "Yeah," I say and smle, "you must really like doing this," I say and brush a srand of hair from your face. "Yes," you say and you lean in and kiss me.

The Promises of Praying the Rosary

The following promises were given of the Blessed Mother to Saint Dominic and Blessed Alan in the twelfth century
These promises are fifteen in number
and are for Christians who recite the Rosary.
The Blessed Mother promises:

1.	Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces.

2.	I promise my special protection
d the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary

3.	The Rosary shall be powerful armor against hell

It will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.

4.	It will cause virtue and good works to flourish
It will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God
It will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities (valuelessness), and will lift them to the desire of eternal things.
Oh, those souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

5.	The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, should not perish (die, expire, pass away).

6.	Who ever shall recite the Rosary devoutly (sincerely) applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered (under enemy control) by misfortune.
God will not chastise him in His justice
He shall not perish by an unprovided death.
If he be just, he should remain in the grace of God and become worthy of eternal life.
7.	Whoever will have a true devotion for the Rosary will not die without the sacraments of the Church.
8.	Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have, during their life and at their death, the light of God and the plentitude of His graces.
At the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of she saints UN paradise.
9.	I will deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10.	The faithful children of the Rosary will merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
11.	You will obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12.	All those who propagate the holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13.	I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary will have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
14.	All who recite the Rosary are my sons and brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15.	Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Risking Our Necks 11052011

GREET PRISCA AND AQUILA, MY CO-WORKERS IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO RISKED THEIR NECKS FOR MY LIFE ROMANS 16:3-4

PRISCA (ALSO CALLED PRISCILLA) and Aquila
Were first-century lay missionaries who accompanied Paul on his travels
His praise of these two indicates that their dedication was exceptional
I wonder if I am ready to risk my neck for the sake of another

Could I be that other-centered?
These questions lead meto ponder what my motivation
For what I do
How ready I am to tend to those in need

I must constantly consider these things
My society pulls me toward individualism and self self-orientation
Placing others’ concerns before my own
Going the extra mile

Doing without something I enjoy
Allowing myself to be uncomfortable or inconvenienced
These are tiny but significant actions
Enable me to risk my neck for the sake of another

Mother To Be

what a day to think of names
and what silly days ahead filled with games
I will play peek a boo
and think of your mother and you
yet that is nine months away
so long yet so short
for many plans await
diaper bins and a baby gate
the magic of motherhood
is not quite understood
at least by men
we haven't a clue
but nail and hammer and some glue
in readiness we will build it for you
we owe a great big thanks for all that is a mother
for on God's green earth filled with gems there is no other

Someone Asked Me About Marriage

Someone Asked Me About Marriage…

Someone asked me about marriage, as a matter of fact…
I thought; “what kind of questions is that?”

“Let me ask a questions… If I may?”
“Do you read what the God’s word has to say?”

Marriage is still and will always be one woman and man.
I don’t care how many laws we have in our land!

No matter if many churches and people claim; “civil rights.”
Anything different than a man and woman is NOT right!”

The first chapter of Romans makes it pretty clear…
The days of wickedness have drawn ever near!

God’s wrath revealed against all ungodly living!
Think about the garbage our country is giving!

It speaks of men and women leaving their natural affection.
Burning in lust toward one another
 with an ungodly attention!

For this cause God has given many over to a reprobate mind…
Many get involved with perversions of many kinds!

Professing themselves to be wise, many have become “fools.”
By not obeying God’s word… But their own “set of rules.”

Marriage is something designed many years ago.
It was Adam and Eve in the beginning… This we know!

My question to you is: “Why not give God a chance?”
His truth remains the same! Whatever the circumstance!

No court of law can change what God has established!
Everything that’s not of God is simply a lot of “rubbish.”

Jesus is coming back for a bride without “a wrinkle or a spot.”
It’s time we come clean and become
 “blood bought!”

Being the bride of Christ is the most important thing!
He is the bridegroom and eternal love he brings!

A Cheating Farther

My farther could not fulfill a father’s duty
My farther could only fulfill his own pleasures
.Women
.Sex
.Alcohol

He couldn't love us the way he loved them
Coming home early hours in the morning
Mother goes silent whenever he was around
Wiping away her tears with her soft hands If he ever spoke
Pretending she has something in her eye

My farther only loved us
Well pretended to love us
Only when he had alcohol
All the other times
It was those cheap women

Punching
Kicking
Abusing our poor mother
In front of our innocent eyes

He always used to say I'm going to change
The only change he did was sleeping a different women
He just couldnt live without
It never accure to him he had a wife and children

A tender age of 6 all this was going on
I was shocked
Ashamyed
Embrassed
It was like someone cast an evil eye on our family
I could'nt talk to anyone
At home
At school
Or even a family member

I use to always wrote strorys of a farther and son having such a great bond
I always wished those story's were true.

It was like more my dad went with other women
The more abuse she received
The more my mother wanted to please him
My mother was a woman from India
A women from the Asian community
If anyone found out about farther it would be bestay(shameful)

My mother never had a voice to say I’m leaving
The voice she had was silent
21 years they've been married
Years of betrayal made by my farther
Days and nights of abuse
The family gathering lying on how much work he does
Moaning how his wife is so lazy
Moaning on how much we annoy him
Going on and on how great he is.

He couldent bar ethe thought of us leaving
His family name would be known for scum
But was was the use leaving him
He was jst going to pick up move away and cheat on another woman
This is the way I lived with a cheating farther....

Step inside my head

The instructor said:
Right a poem expressing yourself
using Langston Hughes’ first poem
as your model.

When my mom had me it was just me and her.
We went through hard times yet she never let our
problems effect me. Now that I have grown up
I see things differently. I can understand when there is
a problem and know when things aren’t right.

Now I’m just looking for my chance to shine. I am preparing
to see the world through my own eyes. And it is hard. But I
get through. Most kids my age are academically preparing themself
for their future. They go to school and they learn but me I am creating
mine. My voice is my instrument and as long as I have it I plan to use it.
My passion is singing and my heart is in performing but my money always
gets spent on shopping.

Yes I am a women and I was created to be of a helpmate to my spouse
but that doesn't mean that I am not human. Though I may have breast and
my hips may make the shape of my body different doesn't make you
suprerior. I have a mind and I am an individual. I can think and
make decision for myself, all while taking care of all responsibilty.
I am your mother and your grandmother I was responsible for your up bringing.
Don't belittle me because of my sex!

Assault and Battery

The abuse in this day
has gone to far
a war is fought in every other home
from sibling rivalry to spousal abuse
to mend these ties
it seems there's no use
the only thing left to do
is stand up for ourselves
and stop the battles
for patience is not a virtue
when it leads you to being black and blue
we should take the fight to the streets
and chant a chant to be repeat
we should love ourselves enough
not to be in the rough
we should turn the other cheek
and leave the home far at least a week
for need a new philosophy
when in danger we should flee
love should never be an excuse
to stand for abuse

I looked for your heart, but all I found were games you said so much and than you
said nothing, you talked the game but not for me,I was never the one to get your
heart, see you never said there was another who had you,all I got was the

like that,I'm a strong sister looking for a strong person,I thought you were

Forever-Part 4

We get off the plane, back in LA. We drop our stuff off at home and go out for the day.

You wait outside the bathroom door. "Baby," I say. You stop breathing. "What is it?" I slowly open the door. "Yes." I say and smile. "Yes!" you scream and pick me up. You spin me around and kiss me.

9 months later I step out of the car. 3 of us this time. Isavella. Our first daughter. "She looks just likeher mom," you say and smile. "With her daddy's eyes," I say and look at you. "I love you," you say. "I love you too," I say and gently kiss me.

We're older now we've made it a long way. We sit on the deck and watch the sun set. "All or nothing," I say and hold your hand. "All or nothing," you say and lead me down to the sand. "30 years is a long time," you say to me and pull me close. " So is forever," I say. You hit play and Amazed comes on. "We'll make it that far, I swer," you say as we start to dance. We look at Isabella playing in the sand. "I know baby," I say and smile.

We'll last forever. Nothing will break us. We'll always be together.

Together forever.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO

At times you may think I don't acknowledge you.
But just know that i see all that you do.

I am thankful for you all of the time,
and surely you are one of a kind
You mean more to me than I can possibly say,
and without you here, i'd last not a day.

you are my calm amidst the storm,
since the very first moment in front of your dorm.

You are my life long partner and friend,
and we'll be together until the end.

all your hard work, it isn't in vain,
for you my dear, ill do the same.

Your patience and caring and love for our kids,
is the most important thing you possibly did.

you cook, clean, plan and budget too,
what else could i ever want from you?

each day is a new time in our life,
and i'm so glad that i made YOU my wife!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!!!

Are You Going Through A Layoff

Going Through A Layoff???

Are you one who watches
the nightly news?
And hear of the many jobs
 people will lose?

Does this news bring to your life
much uncertainty?
Knowing that very soon…
This could be a reality?

Are you one who’s filled with fear
and apprehension?
Feeling the burden of stress
and a lot of tension?

Perhaps you feel very discouraged
and “distraught.”
Here’s a ”lesson” that needs
 to be taught!

Don’t allow yourself to worry about
 “how things are going.”
There’s a God in heaven that you
need to be knowing!

He knows all about your layoff
and every situation!
The love and peace he gives needs
 no explanation!

Everything that you need...
Jesus does provide!
Worry? Or Trust HIM?
That’s for you to decide!

Mom's Cooking

My wife can't cook as well as my mother. When cooking a meal, there is no other. With roasts, stews, or spaghetti sauce, in the kitchen, my mother is the boss. I married a girl like the one that married dear old dad. I still love my wife, and her cooking isn't that bad. Inspired by another member's poem.

Those Who Have Wronged Us

Those Who Have Wronged Us… I had a loved one whom I thought loved me. I couldn’t understand how she would treat me! I thought she was a Christian. She said she was. She told me; “I don’t like you just because!” As the years went by, just the way she lived. I wanted nothing to do with her! Much less forgive! The things she did were hurtful and caused pain. I didn’t even want to mention her name! Years later, I felt the lord tugging at my heart! God wanted a healing… And a fresh start I wanted an apology… It never took place. I felt the Lord asking me for more of his grace. You see, after all these years, with no words spoken. I heard of some news, and my heart was broken. I found out this person was soon at death’s door. When I found out… I fell to the floor! I cried “Father in heaven will you please forgive me? I didn’t love her, in spite of how she would treat me!” The opportunity I had was a chance for forgiving. Now she hasn’t much longer that she’ll be living! May this be a warning and a “wake up” reminder! To those who wronged us, we need to be kinder! Christ’ love needs to break the “barriers” down. So forgiveness in our lives will certainly be found! By Jim Pemberton

Six hours past and it still isn't over.
Your palms sweat and your body shaking.
The mind raceing with your thoughts.
All these questions, no answers.
You panic, friten and scared.
The pain and watching is to much.
But your love keeps you in touch.
One last push and a life is born.
The parents hold there new baby boy.

This Mother's Day

It's not something
for which you would have to pay
nor take a lot of time to decide
It's not something
I've ever asked from you before
but it will have to come from the heart
It's not something
that's cute
or precious to the eye
It's not a piece of clothing
or something to hang on the wall
no words are needed
but would be appriciated
So when you ask what it is
I want this Mother's Day
my simple request is this
Please take away my anger,
my hurt, my fears,
my sorrow and pain

Priceless

A beautiful entity bestowed upon me
with gentle touches of a silky rose petal

Warming eyes with love so deep and profound,
tapping into the depths of my soul, allowing me
to surrender to life and the world around me

The voice of a gentle breeze in a mid summer night,
caressing the body, answering the insecurities of
a little boy

skin with a milky softness so smooth, the warming
touch of a hand upon my face, blanketing me from
the evils of this world

Power to rejuvenate life so precious, a spawn of my
blood into this world is born

With natural grace and compassion to nurture the
children of gods creations, mothers, sisters,
daughters, wives are thee creators, trophies
of life

Salt And Peepers Yin and Yankee...
all of us are just too many people suffer in the shaded oasises while long knives
wait as ninjas making promises to GOD.
One man smiles his KNOWING at me another shoots them daggers in me they
both make promises that they can't keep me with the horror of they lust. Eye like
children best at how they trust us. A little girl is singsonging and her mother is in
horror at the man for he must HATE the little girl for making noises WAIT this old
man loved it he was never very mean about it but secretly he hummed his
breathe to match the song the little one has hummed. Thinking now only good
thoughts of his GOD and how some people are just young and how they have
that innocence of youth just keep the little girl from growing old OH WENDY
WENDY WENDY please just learn to fly to never ever land with peter pan
and she is making every word she speaks into a rhyme for she is the offspring of
the wine the very poese and this poet the loving daughter of mye mamsie she is
so very in mye heart a world apart but ever near me sometimes she seems to be
left in me in the places next to mother held so dearly one man HARD as stone
another yeilding growing older in the recess of the conquest of his time.
Sometimes it seems this poem could go on forever for this poet would just stay
and type these words forever and hum a differ song. ...yes ewe its for MARY.

Please

My Heart Breaks
Every time I look into their eyes.
I know you’re here,
I feel your lips upon mine
every time my heart breaks.
I know you watch over them,
But
Do you see the pain you brought by leaving us?
Do you see the wonder, that they want to know, in there eyes?
The Questions that they want answered?
Why you?
Why God?
The night bring on more questions,
that they want answered.
Please mend my broken heart.
Please stop the wondering building in there eyes.
Please answer the questions they need answered.
Please still be with us, Forever.

Child Corset

Whale-bone satchel hidden underneath
The husband comes in to take the sheath
From his wife,
To pull away the knife.
Support this cradled strap
Call the cartographer for a map
To chart the followed Path,
Taken before by Plath.
Hold the chest
For this test
Of love,
Of affection
From above,
This rejection
Holds still a toy
For a boy
And twirls
For a girl.

What is love

Do you know what love means to you? Can you put it in your pocket or store it
away for another day. Is it the special moment in time? Does it last forever or
does it go away. Our loved one is hear only for awhile Do you give of your time a
little or do you give more. Do you take the time to love them and hold them dear.
Do you lend that helping hand do you walk that mile. Is your loved one dear to
your heart. Do you take the time to listen and let them know you care. When they
are feeling down and need a listening ear. Do you take the time to be there or do
you not really care. What about the old when there life on earth will be ending
soon. Do you tell them that they are very important to you and if they need you will
be there. What about the children that mean so dear. Do you spend the time to
hear their dreams and fears They are only little for only a short while and grow up
and leave the nest. Their world is important to them so hold them dear to you.
And walk that extra mile. There are many forms and meanings of what you feel is
love. loving ,sharing ,caring Now I ask you this one more time the question is
this. What is love

Beautiful Pains Of Being A Single Mother

Three biological
Three step
Ten Adopted
I have not slept

I worry twenty-four hours a day
For the past eleven years
For they keep growing up
Boxes of tissues for my tears

Multiple romances,
Drugs, schools
Deaths, marriages
Grandchildren rules

Diseases, surgeries
Broken bones, and hearts
Wrecked vehicles, drivers test
Egos, fighting over pop tarts

Loud music, laundry galore
Parties, jobs, and money too
Who picks me up when I fall
Myself, that's who

I love unconditionally
It's the only way to survive
If my ex would do the same
We would have kept our love alive

So here I am
I made a choice to teach
The children of the world
Love cannot be preached

You must harbor it in abundance
For you will need it in time
When I'm am old an fragile
I know love will be mine

I cry, I get angry,
I'm lonely at times too
But the crazy things I've seen with these children
Is always something new

Not one day of peace
Although they do try
That's all I can ask for
My river of tears will never run dry

If they set me up with one more date
I may just get irate
I don't need anyone to love me
I'll get it at heavens gate

"What A Women is Made Of "(part one)

i am, from the newest of born clay
made of my mother's earth
to be molded
and not to be played with

i am, the pain of glass
made of sand
to block the wind
to be looked though
and never meant
to be broken

i am from the small crust of bread
made of the smallest grain
bake in the hottest of suns
and not meant to be shared

i am, from the oldest of rain drops
made of heaven first tears
to wash and refresh
with essence of water
and perception of , thousands years

made to love only you
to kiss only you
soft and ready
only for you

Miryelle's Hair is Everywhere

Miryelle's hair is everywhere.
It's over here; it's over there.
It's on the sofa and the arm chair.
It's in the dresser with my underwear.
And as we clean and scrub, scrub, scrub,
We find hair in the sink and tub.
I look on the desk and on the mantle-
Then the table reveals it on the soup handle.
It's even in the corner on the toy box,
And she still has a head full of brown locks.
I find it whenever I drive to the plant-
There on my shirt and there on my pants.
And when I come back home at night,
Her hair's on my pillow underneath the lamp's light.
It tickles my neck; it's around my ear.
Miryelle has left her kisses here.
Then in the morning when we get up,
I wonder what I'll find on my coffee cup.
I pick up my comb, and it's there on my brush.
She heard my complaint and said, "Please hush!"
And as she walked around from here to there,
I had an epiphany as she tossed her hair.
She's a caring mother and a loving wife,
And so she touches everything in my life.

POETS
POETS
Some people are just different some people are just blessed
Some people are not better more humble than the rest of people seem
Some people make a stab at things unseen
A simpleton a farmer a soldier and the rest a laborer a warrior a vest
A statesman and a teacher a lion of a man and a little baby lamb
These poets These poets These poets of the land.

A Doctor and a Lawyer and the Indian.
A surveyor when he can find the time makes rhyme.
A carpet layer and a concrete maker the least of these and them.
A forgotten homeless in the corridor of time.
Endless women blessed woman making rhyme.
These Poets These Poets These Poets of the land.

Some people have so many problems stemming from the lust.
Some people have so many journeys starting on the dust.
Every march of a thousand miles begins with just one step.
Every poem written began with just one word.
Yellow and white and black as night.
These Poets These Poets These Poets of the land.

Better Than Ten Sons

Hannah was favored,
But Peninnah was fertile-
Both, wives of one man.

Peninnah provoked
Hannah til she cried to God
For an open womb.

Elkanah trembled
With Hannah, the wife he loved
After they worshiped.

God was exalted.
Peninnah's voice was silenced
By Hannah's promise.

Love Thy Word(s)!

From taunting the bee,
I paused awhile and stared
at them, a couple.

She was yelling at him.

Curse words of her sunk, deeply
into his heart, yet he managed though
to smile. And while I was

cowering in silent fear,

he approached her, like
a grounded child and then
kissed her.

When whirlwind subsided, finally
their splendiferous rite continued,
my ole spirits sung, with such relief.

“Alleluia to the heaven’s sky!”

…for I won’t be
choosing in which cup
I must drink.

My Infamous Poem

This glimpse of my soul how well I wrote it.
And now they’re reading it, this glimpse
Of my soul, of which I called poem.

Ahh, my soul has become a poem for all.
D’you know how popular I became ‘cos of this glimpse
Of my soul, of which I called poem?

I can tell you, even if you don’t ask
About this glimpse of my soul, of which I called poem
Not ‘cos I’m rightfully right bragging it...

But simply ‘cos I wanted you to know
That this glimpse of my soul, of which I called poem
Was about the slow death of happiness---

Inspired by you, who
Ran away with a wealthy lover
Instead of making the stars happy, being their mother.

Love Thy Woman

Woman is a precious pearl
For you to shine, don’t hurl

Woman should be loved
Never hit her with a club

Woman should be kissed
Not by your mighty fists

Woman is created, for us
So, love her till you pass

Woman will always be there
When ever you need her care

Woman is your loving mate
Even if you come home late

Woman is your everlasting soul
From you, God created her soul

You cheated on my brother

(This is a fictional poem)

He should've listened to our mother.
She said you'd cheat on my brother.
You slept with another man just two weeks after you walked down the aisle.
My brother deserves better than you because you're a witch and you're vile.

Our son

(This is a fictional poem)

My son was in the road and a tractor-trailer couldn't stop in time.
The driver ran over my boy and he broke this heart of mine.
My wife and I should've been watching him but we were having an argument.
When you get right down to it, we were being negligent.
We were arguing because money is something we lack.
But no amount of money can bring my boy back.
My wife and I cry everyday because we can find no reason to go on.
We've seen how superficial it is to fight over money now that he's gone.

How Do They Sleep

Not a day goes by , my thoughts are not with you,
thinking maybe, someone will have the guts, and
courage to say, "OK, I was wrong."
Daily our troops are killed, and wounded so bad,
trying to start their life over, but it will never be what they had.
Is this a war for peace, or a war for oil, all I know for sure,
our tempers are ready to boil.
Our leaders are backing up, when it comes to our troops,
but they don't have a problem sleeping, for what they do.
How many now have been killed in this war,
How many now will never walk,
How many now can't see their children,
How many now have been abandoned,
How many now have been burned,
How many now can't hold their wife,
How many now can't get help,
I think our country has done enough,
If they can't handle their problem,
well that's just tough.
Our troops, our money, our sacrifice,
something here is not right.
Their land, their oil, and they keep it all.
Somebody better open their eyes, and
then maybe explain to a mother, why her child had to die.

Coma

(This is a fictional poem)

You're in a coma because you had a bad wreck one night.
You took off in your car because we had a fight.
I started the argument and I made you cry.
I'll never be able to live with myself if you die.

Our kids desperately need your love and I do too.
If you die, we'll be lost wiithout you.
As I've sat here and held your hand, I've cried and cried.
The doctor wants to pull the plug and it's tearing me up inside.

The doctor says you can't live without life support and I have a difficult decision to
make.
But if you die, it will tear me apart as I watch our kids hearts break.
I wish I was the one lying lifeless in this bed.
Without you in my life, there will be nothing but pain and loneliness ahead.

MOTHER ANNA

What wouldn't I have done
for Mother Anna when daddy left home,
and abandoned his children...
like they were orphans forgotten and alone?

On that winter's evening
snowflakes danced cheerfully,
and the Christmas Tree shone brilliantly
as an angel fell and broke his wing;
silence descended to denote a great loss...
stirred by a commotion
that couldn't be stustained!
A wife lost her companion;
kids, an uncaring father who could never lead
or set an example for them to admire the most...

Underneath the bare oak tree,
by the brightness of the street lamps...
three young girls sobbed and wept sadly;
an airplane fled across the vast sky
illuminated by the splendid stars:
they waved their trembling hands
to someone they would never see again,
was theirs a memorable cry?

What would have I done in the eyes of God,
if not help you carry half of the load:
denouncing with anger and grief
his selfishness and injustice?
Mother Anna, that pain was immensely mutual,
drawing us together to defy his action
which was thougthless and cruel;
Mother Anna,your wisdom indicated retribution...
