Birthday warning!

A cold autumn morning,
new rains have arrived
today not so ordinary
A little girls birthday goes by

she had an accident
she awoke in her bed wet
today she is six, a present she did
not expect

A day without the jug cord
would be her birthday wish

Her hope is soon faded,
for there her mother stood,
A birthday beating just begun-
her mothers' way
of a little fun

"you dirty little b!#@h"!
I'm sick of washing your sheets
this will fix you...and fix you good
till you're black and blue
...or till I'll make you bleed"!

Happy Birthday to me...
through aches and tears
I am happy
I survived to date six years

alone in her closet
she'd make this her car
travel to far away happy lands
go shopping for a star

once she bet the jug cord
she collected up the sheets
took her mums' old coal shovel
buried them under the house
darkest corner beneath,

her father gave her sixpence
every time she was dry,
or if she wet, he'd make her wetter
he'd put her in a cold bath

the little girl would trick him,
moving the sheets about
her mother would come in the room
catch the little girl out

the little girl did such things
out of fear she lied
the little girl was in a place
she was trying to survive

she adapted to her father
she adapted to her mother

though difficult it was
it affected everything
looking back the way she was

she changed her life completely
eradicated the fear
her life gets better and better
year after year

her mum and dad to this day
the little girl forgave
she understands the way they were
a woman she has grown
forgiving to her grave

she struggles on her birthday
preferring to enjoy
her spirit accepts what happened
on that day the present
she avoids

Hugs

Teenage Girls clad in the latest fashions,
Do it whenever they meet,
Grown men aren't afraid to show some passion,
When their team's comeback is complete,
They can say hello, they can say goodbye,
And anything inbetween,
If you open your arms and crack a smile,
There is nothing that a hug cannot mean.

Grandparents

Grandparents

Grandparents they be two lights
Who may lead to wisdoms door.
For hopefully they've lived their lives
And made that journey to the core
And found the jewel buried there
Beneath the shades of sorrow.
And now these two be living life
No past and no tomorrows.

They be a pool within a desert
Where the grass grows lush and green.
A cool place where the kids drop in
To breath in air that's more serene.
They will be gentle, sweet, but stern
{If the need for this comes up}
But mostly kids look on these folk
To over fill the loving cup.

And when these ancient ones depart
And through the golden gates do stroll
The power that rules these mighty realms
{Once the aids have weighed the soul}
Will send them down as spirit folk
To help folks lives to flow
before they enter Earth again
To gain another chance to grow.

Thank you

Thank you – Zamreen Zarook

Thank you is a sweet word in the nature,
You may be a guy of adventure,
May be you are a person of agriculture,
What matters is your architecture.

Never forget the people, who guided you,
In no degree neglect who were with you,
Don’t ever overlook a creature, who gave a smile to you,
Because, you will meet them above you.

People forget the past due to selfishness,
They have no time to remember their unawareness,
Society, most of the times behave in awfulness,
They will understand when their lives come in to bitterness.

Be a person to thank and remember,
Don’t consider them as December,
Because, you might need them in November,
So, always be as a good subscriber.

GRANDMA

DEAR GRANDMA,
IT'S YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER,
YOU NEVER MET ME.
OVER THE YEARS I PICTURE YOUR FACE IN MY MIND.
I IMAGINE YOU HOLDING ME IN YOUR ROCKING CHAIR, SINGING
A LULIBY SONG TO ME.
WITH YOUR SILVER HAIR AND WRINKLE SOFT TISSUE SKIN.

GRANDMA , REMEMBER YOUR SON, MY FATHER.
HE USED TO HOLD ME IN HIS ARMS.
TELL ME HOW MUCH HE LOVES ME.
HE ROCKED ME TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT
AND READ READ A BEDTIME STORY THAT
MADE MY EYES SLEEPY IN WONDERLAND.
I WISH YOU COULD OF SAW HOW MUCH HE LOVED ME,
A WONDERFUL FATHER I HAD.

WHENEVER I GOT SICK.
HE PLACED A COLD BROWN BRITTLE HAND TOWEL ON MY FOREHEAD,
KISSED MY RED SWOLLEN CHEEKS AND
MAGICALLY, THE FEVER DISAPPEARS AWAY.

HE USED TO TALKED ABOUT YOU GRANDA.
HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU WERE.
A LOVING AND CARING MOTHER YOU WAS TO HIM.
HE REALLY LOVED YOU AND GRANDPA LIKE TWO DANCING DOVES.

GRANDMA,
I LOVED YOU AND GRANDPA MY WHOLE LIFE,
LIKE YOU WERE WITH ME THROUGH MY CHILDHOOD.
GRANDA,
I MISS MY FATHER SO MUCH.
NEVER HAD LONG ENOUGH TIME TO SHARE MY LIFE WITH HIM.
I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO TELL HIM,
WHAT A WONDERFUL FATHER, DADDY HE WAS TO ME.

GRANDMA,
BUT I'M SURE.
SOMEHOW HE KNOWS I LOVED HIM DEEPLY.
HE DON'T WANT ME TO CRY ARE FEEL SAD.
I HOLD HIM IN MY HEART EVERYDAY.
AND I KNOW HE WATCHING OVER ME.
I GOT ALL THESE MEMORIES GRANDMA.
AND MY HEART FULL OF LOVE AND JOY.

GRANDMA,
I CAN CRY ONLY HAPPY TEARS.
KNOWING THAT YOU ALL IN HEAVEN TOGETHER,
SMILING DOWN ON ME.
THANK YOU, GRANDMA FOR BEING MY GRANDMA
AND HAVING A WONDERFUL SON, MY FATHER.
I LOVE YOU ALL.
SINCERLY, YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER AND DAUGHTER, ROBIN

Grandparents Before - But not today

Grandmothers and grandfathers how they look,
how can we see that there is a grandmother or a grandfather
When I was a little girl we could see a grandmother and a grandfather
Grandparents used hats, glasses, and walking stick
The skin of their face was weathered and wrinkled
Some had teeth they put in a glass in the evening

Grandmothers always had time for a glass of juice and a hug
She was never impatient, tie shoelaces with pleasure
Always in floral dresses, which smelled like grandma
Grandmothers wont not be at work tomorrow, she has time for an adventure
She does not skip a single word, to be finished soon
It was always sweets in grandmother's hand bag
She never spared, but shared with a beautiful smile

Grandfathers were a bit more restrained,
bit concerned about the day's news in their newspaper
He would like to go for a walk, and he walks with small cautious steps
When he meet someone he knows, he lifts a bit on his hat and nod
He has very little hair on his head, and his head shines in the sun
Grandfathers have a strong hand to hold, I was confident in his hand
He could tell me what all the birds called, he was so wise

Everyone should experience an old-fashioned grandmother and grandfather
one that does not have a television, computer or washing machine
A grandmother and grandfather who always have good time

But it was in the past ..... not today...

Ode to my son on his 28th birthday

When I looked up at you the other night
I saw you coming through the door
Framing it with your amazing smile
steadfast, self assured, a happy man
A happy Dutch life with Irish sea-kissed roots
Not just a European but a world class man
As you stood before me, I felt such pride.

When I think of you, I see my little boy blue
Forever young, blond mop, those winsome sky eyes
my spry child, intelligent, forever questioning
hyperactive, mischievous, a little dare devil
your smile, a mile wide in times of trouble
I see you holding your teddies Ruby and Rupert
Tractors, diggers, broken engines brrrrrrrmm.

Your love of engines, paid off after all
as you shifted gear to driving instruction
For a guy who showed no interest in being a scholar
Now you are the teacher, with a flurry of pupils
I think it works better, this way around.
Your greatest gift is your love for people
Your greatest asset, your winning smile

Keep on living and loving as you do
You view life through a positive lens
Becoming a mother hit me with a new perspective
An appreciation of life, when I gave you yours
Together we grew, and continue to grow
In love and respect, now and forever.

Love Never Fades

There's a little history to this particular poem. I know I wrote it when I was 11 or 12 years old. I wrote it for my Grandma Dorabel, who is today 90 years old. I also wrote it for my uncle John who had been taking care of her at the time; I didn't want to leave him out so I put on the letter: For Grandma Dee and Uncle John! I wrote this short little poem along with a drawing of a cat and some flowers. However, I actually never sent the picture to her! My parents and I must have forgotten to send! To me that was unacceptable! I thought to myself today when I found the picture, I must send it now! The picture is now on its way to her, so I am happy she will at last receive it.

---------------------------- You can send me a bouquet of flowers, You can order me a box of chocolates, You can buy me a fancy outfit, But flowers don't last, Chocolates eventually disappear, Outfits get out of style, Yet Love never fades, And it's the most precious gift of all

Healing Words

My mother, my grandmother before has always held a place in my heart.
My father, and my grandfather before has the same part.
I was young and very active with unwillingness to listen fully to what they had to say.
I had a problem, never could be solved without my parents and grandparents till today.
With patience they all come to my aid when I fall on my face.
With little dishonor I listen to them and what they had to say, I embrace.
Over the years I go to them with no doubt a feeling of no dismay.
Over the years I go to them and they help me solve problems that to me is O.K.
Now I am getting a bit more aware of what had happen to me when I was growing.
Now I remember how the ride was in my beginning: it was a trial of not knowing.
With the guided words of my parents and grandparents I survive through them all.
With it some being a problem that I remember I recall.
My mother and my grandmother always said to be patient and it will be easy to solve.
My father and my grandfather always knew that I would grow and evolve.
I could wonder everyday what if my parents and grandparents was not in my life.
I could just think that would be fatal like a stab with a knife.
With knowledge that they had past on to me of what they had experience.
With their proof of teachings they had past on to me is their self existence.
Over the years I grew with life so full of happiness that was because of my families love.
Over the years it showed me the path that led me to all the above.
Now cherish those words that help me through my troubles in my new family.
Now I listen to my parents healing words of wisdom and except them gladly.

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

The Happy Dress

It’s a mother-in-law’s right, her prerogative
To ‘drop in’ on her son almost any time,
But a mother-in-law should always be prepared
For almost anything she may find.

So, Mother Cready dropped in unannounced;
But as she approached her son’s front door,
Suddenly it opened. “Ta Da! Do you like my happy dress?”
His young wife stood there in her ‘all in all’…nothing more.

“Oh, my word!” Mother Cready exclaimed with surprise.
“Why are you naked? Are you insane?”
Just as surprised, the young wife pulled her inside.
“Please, Mother Cready…if you’ll just let me explain.

You see, when Mac has had a rough day,
When he’s been under a lot of stress,
Sometimes I meet him at the door
With a smile and a kiss in my happy dress.

It always relaxes him and makes him happy,
Then he makes me very happy too.
It works for Mac and me, Mother Cready;
Maybe it would work for you.”

“We’re too old for such.” scoffed Mother Cready.
“Perhaps if we were young like the two of you.”
But, on her way home, she decided
She was definitely going to try it too.

So, she bathed and put on some nice perfume,
Fixed her make-up and her hair.
She was thinking some very sexy thoughts,
But she had to hurry…no time to spare.

She heard her husband’s car in the driveway;
And as he approached their front door,
She threw it open. “Ta Da! Do you like my happy dress?"
She stood there in her ‘all in all’…nothing more.

She saw a little grimace cross his face,
But that was not the worst.
Then he said, “I appreciate your happy dress, my dear;
But maybe you should have ironed it first.”

ALTERNATE LAST VERSE

“Well…your ‘happy dress’ could use some ironing;
But my birthday suit could use some starch.”
He kissed her. “Bet you and I can work it out.”;
And off to bed they marched.

Dream Walking

In the small town of Campbell Missouri,
A young girl with lovely brown locks
Sits, having been told she might never walk again
As all aknowledge this belief in town,
A fear swept around,
And many children were kept down

But in the spirit of this child,
Desire to walk snuck over her fears
Perhaps she wished to surprise-
Perhaps she could not stand
The judgmental eyes-but all the same,
She picked herself up, smiled,
And sauntered around the room

Happiness pervaded the house
As the family friend, delighted,
Sang merrily the song,
“Have You Ever Seen a Dream Walking?”

Today, at California Mission Inn,
The same girl, now a woman
Walks her glorious walk
With confidence and grace
She is 91 years old and strong
As song,
Her eyes lighting up as she recalls
She hums the dreamy tune
As I jot down miracles

Living my dream

Living my dream

I had one dream when I was young
To go to another land
In life I wasn’t satisfied
I wanted something grand
Lions, tigers. Kangaroos
And all those wild, wild beasts
Africa, South America
Or Australia at least.

Possessive Mother was my curse
How could I get away?
Every time I mentioned it
She had so much to say
And made me feel so guilty
Really cramped my style
And then one day there came along
Something to make me smile

I’d just turned my nineteenth year
When this great girl came along
She hailed from West Australia
And filled my heart with song
So we got married, had some kids
And here we are in Oz
Been here for half a century
And I came here all because

It was my fate to find this girl
She was my destiny
There’s be a whisper in the skies
That knows how things will be
It takes one’s soul, and leads it on
So growth, it might occur
And I know that west Australia
My heart, it sure does stir.

Will We Know Him

Will We Know Him?

Will we know Him if He stood in front of us?
If He walked by us on the street?
Will we know Him?
If we have a chance to meet Him in our  lifetime?
In that split second that we meet Him?
Our eyes met for the first time?
Will we know Him?
Yes reading the moment we stood side by side?
Our smiles are very clear
Our heart jumps around
Yes we do know Him?
That look, and that feeling
When we know we've found our home
Yes we do know Him
Yes we know what to say to Him
As we walk away together
Yes we know Him as He knows us His children
We are finally together

Female Companion

                                                     She is so typical
                                                           So critical
                                                   For most part difficult

I never really could grasp her in such way
She just wants me to some how stay
She comes to my man cave and makes me obey

Shy she was and now I am scared
In such way I almost cared
She thinks she can do everything for me I swear

She makes me guess everyday but I keep on believing
Because it is fun to give her a kiss, while she does not know when she is sleeping
She stresses out but I will tell her my love for her keeps deepening

So for the most part I just keep her close to make her smile and me
When I do things I do it for her it is always a key
Call me romantic or call me stupefied, but it makes her so, so, sooo, happy

Thanks for that Memorable Day

07/31/2012
Written by: Florence McMillian (Flo)
Dedicated and written for my friend, Lisa Giessinger, as a special message from her to her mother, Hazel – about a most memorable day they spent together.

To My Mother Hazel Thanks for that Memorable Day This poem is specifically Being written just for you I requested it from a friend For she knows just what to do That special day we spent together Is so very memorable for me, I’d say I want it to be memorable for you too With a poem written in a rhyming way We’ve had our ups and downs in life With probably most of them being down You raised me to know how life can be Not easy to cope, with down things all around Well I’ve stepped up to a new level To be happy no matter what the hell Of any negative surroundings to be I live thankful that my life is all well That special day started out so bad for me As I was headed for back injections again I was really happy you were taking me there With a comfort feeling knowing we are kin It seemed like the first time in a very long time Where we just enjoyed each other that day You were kind of like that sweet rose One stops to smell along the way In this path I have traveled Through many overgrown weeds It was refreshing and pleasant this time With no discussion of what someone needs We got along together talking and laughing It gave me such a lasting good impression We even ate at Don Julio’s afterwards I sure hope you had just as much fun I want you to know how much I appreciate this time we spent together Making this a most memorable day for me To truly cherish for always and forever Now let me tell you, that day did get worse With everyone putting me down everywhere You were the rose amongst the trash talkers It felt good to know my Mom really does care Even if everything dips to the downside Within the journeys of my life I may go through No one could ever take our shared moments away They’re in my heart forever and I’ll always love you I had the best time with me and my Mom If I told the world, that’s what I’d say So I really want to thank you Mom For that most memorable day Love, Lisa Florence McMillian (Flo)

Together At Last

My mother how I've dreamed of you
You were a Goddess in my eyes
I would daydream all day
Of your beautiful face and eyes
You have made my dreams come true
By coming to claim me as yours
Deep inside I always knew
To you I would be restored
Oh my mother I'm so happy!
You've finally come into my life
That you have come to save me
From this life of painful strife
We will look to history no more
We will forget about lives past
Let us look to the future and rejoice
For we are together at last!

This is kind of the "part 2" to the Where Are You Now poem. This is from the daughter's perspective.

The Ugliness Of Divorce

My parents taught me the Christian ways.
I was taught to obey what the Bible says.

I was proud of my parents! I really was!
And loved them so much… Just because!

They meant everything to me! I was proud!
Until one day... There appeared “a dark cloud.”

It was like a “darkness” hovered above.
Leaving their marriage empty of needed love!

Though they were together many years.
There were many cracks that soon appeared.

I say a once happy home soon destroyed.
Being with one another…. They no longer enjoyed!

How could this happen! I had wondered…
To see a happy marriage “totally plundered

As sin crept in... And allowed to prevail.
Very soon this marriage simply failed.

May this be a warning for me and you…
That our commitment remains faithful and true!

If your marriage is heading toward separation…
Please seek God for a healing and restoration!

If your planning to have a divorce..
Jesus’ love can put it on the right course!

He can replace the brokenness and hurt within..
And can put your lives back together AGAIN!

L O M L Always

The thought of her smiling gave me faith
From when we were little we bathe
My mother and her mother is best friends
They both took care of us and gifts they send
We pulled each others hair
And she was always quick to dare
When I smiled at her she knew it was no good
She learned to pull me up and she understood
I just wanted her attention and that she gave
She knew it in her heart love was my slave
From when we were a child with full of energy I had my way
She was the one who was my guide and she did not push me away
When I saw her cry one day and her eyes was so sad
I gave her a flower and I smiled at her and made her glad
When some one special leaves her heart
I sat by her and never wanted to depart
She is the love of my life always
She is the one who gave me my hope through out my days
So I gave her my heart and love from within
And I did not make it thin
I stood by her side since I was a child
I gave her my support when we were wild
She knew who I was and I let her go the distance
I did not hate her or give her resistance
My mother and her mother are great friends and their virtue will never end
Because of their love they both trusted us to live our ways to transcend
So my childhood friend was my best friend, and now my wife
She new it from the start that we part of each others life

Mother

My mother sweeping up the floor,
Or greeting neighbors at the door.
Stopping for a cup of tea,
With cookies and some milk for me.

She’d make the beds, do other chores
Before hanging the clothes outdoors.
My mother led a busy life
And still she was a happy wife.

The meals that from my mother came,
Would put all restaurants to shame.
She was the world to Dad and me.
She’s with me still in memory.

I see her shining chestnut hair
And tortoise comb to hold it there.
She kept it all in ordered check
Except for curls on back of neck.

She gazed at me with mother’s pride
Until the very day she died.
I know there’ll never be another
Who could love me as did Mother.

Mother’s always in my prayer.
I ask that she be happy there,
With floors to sweep or beds to make
Someone to love for love’s own sake.

My,Grandmothers,doll,collection

Ever since I can remember we visit my grandmother´s house every Sunday. In the dinning room were we usually spend the while there, she has always had this big glass carved showcase lying against the wall. This big showcase of hers has all types of dolls you can imagine. Is a collection a hobby of her that since I can remember it grows bigger every time. From Matryoshka dolls until Mariachi dolls we can see up there in her collection. Dolls from many places around de world: France, Russia, China and Germany are some examples. My father tells me she collects this dolls since he was a kid, from house to house they have lived on she has taken this big showcase of hers. My grandmother is a collector, and yes she has probably more than 20 different nationality dolls, but this doesn’t mean she has been all around the world. People that know her and care for her always bring her a doll as present when they come back from a vacation. Sometimes I ask her things about the dolls, and every single time no matter her age she always remember the dolls that are the most special to her. Some are presents from other people, and others were bought by herself, but from this special dolls she can give all the exact information. Off course the majority of the dolls she doesn’t even remember from which place they come from or who gave them to her, but I see the smile on her face every time we talk about this showcase, and I feel happy myself only by thinking how an object that she has save for so many years have a great value to her. But most of all I feel happy that one of this special dolls is a present from me and every once in a while when she remembers she thanks me for this doll and tells me that is one of her favorites.

A Spindle, an Hour-glass, and a Doll

This story is about a young girl named Sapphie Smith.
Her parents were poor, so they lived in a small house,
And Sapphie had only three toys,
An hour-glass, a spindle, and a doll.
The hour-glass had been her father's,
The spindle her mother's,
And when she was younger, Mother had made her the doll.
Sapphie had known no other life,
Therefore she was content with her toys and her small little bedroom.
She slept with the little rag doll every night,
Playing with it so much that it was frayed.
When she was about six years old,
An epidemic swept through the land.
Her parents wished they did not have to go to the village and work,
But they were so poor, they had no other choice.
Then, one day, Sapphie's parents did not come back;
Her father found good pay as a shepherd in the distant hills,
Where he would not see his family for a long time,
And her mother knew one day in the village
That she had the dreadful sickness.
She did not go home because she loved her little daughter so much
That she did not wish to risk her getting sick.
But it tore her heart to pieces,
knowing that she would never again see her beautiful daughter.
Sapphie wondered why her parents did not come home
As they did every evening.
It did not bother her much as she played with her toys;
The hour-glass, the doll, and the spindle,
Crawling into her little bed when she grew sleepy.
The next day, Sapphie was getting lonely without her mother,
So she went to look for her in the wooded hills around her house.
She soon grew weary, not having thought to eat breakfast,
And laid down to rest by a stream where she drank.
A kind woodsman found her and raised her like his own daughter,
But as the months passed,
Her father came home, and found it empty,
Save the doll, the hour-glass, and the spindle.
He set them on the little table with three chairs,
Crying when he woke up and saw them every morning.
Sapphie found her father years later,
Which was the happiest day of her life.
Whenever she was sad, she looked on the mantle where the toys were
And remembered how wonderful it was to have her father again.

A Mother

Who is a mother and what is a mother? A mother is one that gives birth to a child. A mother is one that loves you and holds you in her arms. A mother is one who gives you your first hugs and kisses. A mother is one that feeds you when you are hungry and takes care of you when you are sick. A mother is one that wories about you when you come home late. A mother is one that is happy for you when you suceed and one that tells you - I love you , when you fail. Many women can give birth, but not all can be called mothers. That is the reason that some are very special and that includes you mother. Happy mothers day...

My Mo in law

My Mo In law

My Mo in law, she’s ninety five
And wow, she’s looking bright
I see her in that old folk’s home
She looks a real delight
Though she can’t get around much now
She still delights in life
With a smile to all who pass on by
She seems so free from strife

She came out here at twenty nine
To our good sunny land
She worked so hard when she came here
And she made no demands
Milking cows there on the farm
Bringing up three kids
And she got on without a moan
In everything she did.

She helped her husband build two homes
She worked and worked all day
She done each thing she had to do
In a sweet and gentle way
On thinking about my Mo in law
I’d have to tell you this
Old Rosie she’s a mighty bird
You know, she really is.

Typewriter

When I was little my mother and father took me to my grandparents place
The reason was they had school and work so they dropped me off and took haste
My grandmother who was always writing had brought out a case
I always wondered what it was that made her heart beat in an odd pace

Little I did not know what she was smiling so much about
So I watched her run around making snacks all out
I was little and about to touch the case, but I heard a shout
When I heard her she had a look that made me pout

My grandmother smiled and said to me that machine was special to her
But what was that machine because it was odd looking, for sure
As a little child nothing looks more interesting than a new figure
Finally she sat down with me by her side and a cup of coffee to stir

With a big smile she told me a story and first it was on paper
As she spoke I heard her voice with ticks and taper
I could not concentrate because of sounds and I was looking at her
She spoke with kind words and words that I will know in the future

I giggled when she said a word, because it made several noise I heard
My grandmother smiled at me and really knew that I like the sounds that occurred
Little things are not so little she smiled and looked at her coffee and stirred
She pointed at the machine with paper rapped in it with a pattern that lured

As she spoke to me I watched it snap at the paper with precision
I was kinda amuse on her finger making a quick decision
The machine was so fast and her fingers was too, I could not use my vision
She was so happy to see that I was starting to understand the occasion

After a while I got bored and she put me down on the floor
She kept smiling and making music beyond the door
When it stopped I felt empty some how to the core
She stopped it was just because she could not find words no more

I ask grandmother what is that machine you are using as I was griping
Grandmother why wont you play with me as I was smiling
She said that she was doing some stuff, I guess she was not done working
But the thing was she was so happy as she said the machine is a Typewriter for typing

Fluff and Stuff

Silly kittens made of fluff
Pouncing, sliding, snagging stuff
Butterflies that float on by
Out of reach but still they try

Rolling wrestling cotton balls
Soon so tired from their falls
Lying down with mommy purring
Not a kitten soon is stirring

That's Where The Lord Lives

I walk outside to see all that I can see.
Over there is our house, our home,
In the distance, you can see.
And that place of hallowed happiness
Forever has been our home
And forever will be so evermore.
That house is small but raised us tall,
From the perfect parents who loved us so
To the perfect sister for which every man would want.
The house built us all up strong.
More than a mere building,
It is a place to love and be loved,
A place that hands you hope that you give right back,
And a place of everlasting faith.
This home is where my parents taught me about God
And opened me up to Jesus.
They opened the eyes of the blind for all to see,
And the blind included me.
They taught me to be the best I can be;
The best things in life are free.
They have taught us so well,
And they all have saved my soul.
Even if I am not there now,
I carry Him with me.
I carry them with me.
I carry Their values and Their teachings with me.
In this house, this home,
We reside.
We cannot forget this.
This is where my Mother lives.
This is where my Father lives.
This is where my Sister lives.
This is where We live,
In this loving, caring, beautiful home
They made just for us.
We cannot forget this either.
This is where it all began.
This is where the hunger and thirst was created;
This is where we are fulfilled.
We cannot, we must not forget this:
This is where God lives.
This is where Jesus lives.
This is where The Lord lives;
The Father and The Almighty.
This is where We live;
This is where We reside.
We must not forget this.
We must not forget this:
What a beautiful and perfect life this is.

When you outgrow your shoes

Just to sit and look at you,
To admire the person you have become.
To see how much you have grown--
Makes me happy and sad all at the same time.
I am happy because you followed my directions,
And you are succeeding in your life.
You have set goals and have overcome obstacles.
You neve give up and you do the very best you can.
It makes me happy when I see that smile on your face,
To hear your voice giggle and to know that I can still
Hug and squeeze you like the little child you once were.
But my heart is sad because
You can't walk and dance on my feet no more,
You cant sit on my lap and play pat-a-cake like you use to,
And I cant carry you in my arms like I use to.
You are growing up, and although there is a
great big world out there for you to discover,
Each new day is a new leaf turned ,
And an old memory put into the past.
There is such a unique bond between a mother and her child,
It is too special to fathom or even explain.
You want your children to grow up and become someone special,
But you dont want it to happen too fast.
And before you know it, their whole infant and toddler years
Have flashed by in a moments time --
And you are looking and thinking back of when you use to
Hold and cuddle them and sing them lullabies to soothe them to sleep.
So, my dear daughter, although you got some time still to grow,
When you outgrow your shoes and you have left home---
I will still be looking back and will remember
The person you were and the wonderful person
 You've grown to become.

Live for Today ! -Could I ?

Today, when I look back at the years gone by...
Precious moments of my life I lost, I try to think.."why ?"
Planning for the future of my family,I lived my life...
Playing a mother to my kids and a loving wife..

My children meant the world to me..
"Special Someone", I wanted them to be..
My husband ,always happy, I wished to see..
Very Successfull , I wanted him to be.

Family to me mattered the most..
On their achivement , I wanted to boast.
Our future be happy and secure- -my only intention,
In this process, to myself I paid no attention.

My health, I neglected a lot,
My appearance, I totally forgot.
Slogging my life out ,all the money I saved..
To a happy future, the path I paved.

Today I feel I have achieved a lot..
But I also can see what all I lost .
Precious moments of my life ,
Where, I could be" Just Me", not a mother or wife..

"Live for today" as everyone says..
"Really possible?" , I wonder in every which way..
At times I feel " I too should have tried..
But would it be possible, and could I ?

Many Families Are In Difficult Situations

I’ve seen many families in difficult situations!
Often ending up in lies and false accusations!

I’ve seen many families stray way off course…
And tragically, often, end up in a divorce!

I’ve seen the hardships that many families endure.
Their faith has often been shaken.
 That’s for sure!

I’ve seen many families trying to give 100 percent.
And then wondering where all of their time went!

I’ve seen all these things happening
 and much more!
I have wondered; “what is all of this happening for?”

I’ve just one thing to say in this “chaotic confusion.”
Only the blood of Jesus gives
 any hope or solution!

It’s only in his word, we’ll find a godly direction!
His Holy Spirit can give true and loving correction!

May we seek his spirit to bind us all together!
And pray for his blood for our protection forever!

Please come Lord Jesus, and refresh our soul!
We need you right now, to make us whole!

Please touch our heart, and make us all one!
And heal every father, mother, daughter and son!

Please help us to watch what we’ll do and say!
You can turn our darkest night
 into the brightest day!

Petite Mal Epilepsy: The Perfect Child

I have a disability I’ve had my whole life long.
My memory disappears whenever things go wrong,
My first memory was wondering where and who on earth was I.
And who were all the people that I did espy,
When we moved to our first house, it struck me yet again.
Thank goodness my brother came along on his bike just then.
My mother came outside, and looked familiar so I followed her within.
I actually thought that I was normal, when I was very small.
They took my hand when I went out, so it mattered not at all.
Ingrained habits kept me in the yard, with my friends, and at their knee.
I was such a quiet thoughtful child, they were happy to let me be.
Who am I and where am I, became my quiet refrain.
But I didn’t worry because they always there to call my name.
My parents never caught on, no not once, never at all…
I actually acted like everyone else when I was very small.
I looked normal to others so alone I had to carry on.
Then I went to ballet class, I studied so very hard… for oh so long.
The day of the recital I lost it all in front all where I wanted to belong.
My mother thought it stage fright, and finally took me from the throng.
What good was it doing, she thought, if I did not want to learn the dance?
And then I realized to live my life I’d have to work hard for every chance.
And if I had an argument with a friend, it was over oh so fast.
For the stress made me forget and my life became recast.
So if they didn’t come around for a while I didn’t really care.
Because I would soon forget they had ever even been there.
Eventually they would come back and my memory would come back.
Then off we’d go to play again as I studied how to avoid another attack.
When asked what I wanted to play, I’d smile at them you see…
And they’d be happy as I said, “whatever you want is ok with me.”
But do not think to pity me for my stubbornness is truly limitless.
After 12 and ½ years in college… I became for 30 years, a true Chemist.
I raised a son and held my own in a world that couldn’t understand me.
But with all those bouts of confusion the world still became my cup of tea.
Quiet, stubborn, hiding my pain, and with lots of daily notes…
Lots of time spent studying ways around my problems, I would devote…
My family had no pity, just the charge to get out there with mankind.
And here I am successful at 58, now with poetry on my mind.

Fifty-Seven Years Ago Today

Fifty-Seven Years Ago Today

With new dress and suit, flowers, and hair fixed just right
The dreams, plans, and labors of our lives would unite

My brother and his gal stood beside us on the spot
To give witness to the world that we tied the knot

We stood nervous before the preacher at his home
Promised to cling to each other; never to roam

Said “I do” to the questions; gave the preacher his pay
Man and wife; fifty-seven years ago today.

A chance to say goodbye

There once was a woman
that was a wife and a mother
who one day got sick
then called and cried to her brother

She was alone at the docters
when she found out about the cancer
she called her family right away
but nobody would answer

The woman was so scared
she was only 25
when she found out that she had
not much time to be alive

The woman wasnt happy
about living her last days
she did not know how to react
she just sat there in a gaze

as day by day went by
she was more then fun and flirty
till she died on Christmas Eve
at excatly 11:30

As the family cried and cried
the oldest son scremed "why
why did she have to leave us
without even saying bye"

as he cried himself to sleep that night
she talked to him through dreams
she said
"son im very sorry that I had to go and leave"

she said she really loved him
and that she really cared
about how he went through life
without seeing his mother there

He said he loved her so
with his great big giant heart
and that nothing will ever keep
him and his mother apart

When he awoke the next morning
he told his dad about his dream
about seeing his mother happy
as happy as can be

The father said "thats good son
that you got rid of all this pain
in just one night of sleep
now look how much you've gained"

The son just flashed a smile
he new his dad did not understand
that he got his chance to say goodbye
and let go of his mothers hand

My Life

The path I took I did not choose
but mother said that I would lose

For the boy I loved she did not like
so she made me take another path

I was just sixteen and a happy girl
knew very little of the outside world

So when my mother spoke to me
I listened to what she said you see

A man came by and shattered my world
said to mom I'm going to marry that girl

Mom and this fellow they both had a plan
ten days later had me married to this man

Always so lonely for the true love I had lost
my children grew up not knowing the cost

The tears that I shed when they couldn't see
still yearning for my love that never could to be

But now I am happy and have no more strife
and waiting for another to come into my life

A rainy day in the country

A rainy day in the country,
A mother and daughter drove.
To wish the sisters a happy birthday,
And how they are getting so old.

A homemade cake in the back seat,
So moist and chocolaty.
I would never be able to taste,
And become so perfectly.

About a mile away,
The turn in the road they took.
A fate that caused 3 deaths,
And a daughter left on own.

A rainy day in the country,
A daughter drives to visit.
To wish her sisters a happy birthday,
And how we’re getting so old.

A cake turns to a certificate,
So sweet and monetary.
The homemade gifts aren’t worth much anymore,
And the sisterly feeling is no more.

About a mile away,
A turn in the road she took.
Faced with reality that mother is gone,
And that the bonds are broken.

A rainy day in the country,
A daughter is forgotten.
The wish to bring her mother back,
And that things would go to before.

A tear becomes a flood,
So sad and heartbroken.
Feelings of love now replaced by obligation,
And I’ll leave you alone.

About a mile away,
A turn in the road she took.
Not happy, but smiling,
And things will never be the same.

A rainy day in the country,
A tear becomes a flood,
About a mile away,
I miss you.

Babies and Kids Struggles

Everyone in the world thinks babies and kids have no struggles we are wrong.
We forget the hardest times of our lives is when we were infant our hearts beat a song.
When we were hungry we would cry, little hands could not grab anything that lye.
We had help to hold our bottles and we felt so helpless in our everyday struggles.
Our eyes did not open till the time that we were able we saw everything huge in size.
It made our heart throb fast and nothing made sense for all the words were gurgles.
The little ears we had we did stress with sound so loud and so unknown made us cry.
The fathers and mothers with kind word almost calmed us while they whispered.
They held us with fear, we had fear just knowing that we could not handle stress alone.
We grabbed things and we just wanted to hear the heart beat of our mom and dad.
That was the only thing in our minds that made us calm and glad.
The first touch of rough skin and strong hands were most comforting, yet scary at once.
Trust gradually grew when whipped our mess and hind ends, which were still scary.
To the large people out there the mind of a child is so simple but they still struggle.
They still need food, love and security that is all they need to grow.
To their lives is what they cling and no one is there to protect them from sorrow.
There are less fortunate kids that never get to hear their mothers and fathers hearts.
They soon empathize with everything around them with an emotion that struggles.
When sleeping on our own we cannot defend ourselves so we have fears.
That's why we cry nightly to sigh relief, we get exhausted and we run out of tears.
Remember the times you seen a child fall down their first step or bump into things.
It is scary when knowledge is lacking and get into things, which are a signs of struggles.
Children is future, it is nice to just watch them study, play and learn who they are.
Babies and Kids smiling, playing loud, and just sitting, they are still people they struggle.

The tooth fairy went next door too...

A mother left the little girl...
left the little girl and went
next door...

a mother left the little girl...
left the little girl asleep...

the little girl left asleep
had only just turned three...

the little girl awoke to find
her mother gone-
the little girl felt left behind

The little girl got a stool
and climbed onto the bench-
the little girl couldn't resist

the jar of hundreds and thousands
that her mother kept...

the little girl dropped the jar-
it smashed and went
everywhere...

these hundreds and thousands
they went everywhere...

like rainbow coloured snow
escaping from a snow globe...
free and happy to roam and explore...
with such excitement
and curiousness

...the little girls mother stormed
in the kitchen to see what is all
the din...the little girls mother
not happy to see her floor covered
in such mess...

the mother grabbed the little girl
in mid air by her hair...
and punched her with a closed
fist...

the little girls front tooth
flew along the floor and spun
for a while before it came to
rest...

the little girl stood in shock
and she cried just a little
not a lot...

the little girls' mother grabbed her
and cried saying over and over how
sorry she was...

...but the little girl knew her
mother she lied...

...for the little girl knew her mother
would be sorry only until
next time...

the girl was stunned and numb...
for the little girl it was her tooth, the new
gap in her mouth and her mouth
bleeding was her new worry...

the little girl knew that for her
the tooth fairy would not come...

when the little girl got older...
she now was about ten...her
younger sisters
would lose their teeth dance round
and round and celebrate...

from the tooth fairy the coins
they received for them this
was great...

the little would smile and
laugh...

and say my tooth fairy brings
me hundreds and thousands...

for the little knew...she knew the
truth would make them sad...

but the little loved her sisters
and for her sisters she was very very
glad...

You are my flower

You are my flower
The flower from the island
You make me happy when am sad
You make me laugh when am lonely

When I need company there you are
There you are when I need a friend
Indeed you are my flower

Without a word-without a gesture
You are my flower
You are my flower
You are appreciable and understandable

You are my flower
You are a tree with large pale-pink flower
You are a bird rather like a swallow

You are my flower
Indeed you are my flower
You are my flower.

My FOREVER LOVE

“Ah! Good Morning, Glad to see YOU : Happy Valentine’s Day
I’m off to find my Heartbeats LOVE : will YOU guide me on the way?
I’ve ne’er been down the path of LOVE, I’ve ne’er been on this Trail
I’ll walk across the brilliant Rainbows : Stand upon the Sunsets : Pale ::
Against Your illuminating Beauty, Gleaming LOVE ; outshining the Sun
While the Beauty of Mother Nature Cries ; for She knows Her reign is Done
The Tapestry of Her Splendor ; Kaleidoscopic hues of each season of the Year
I console Mother Nature assuring Her beauty lives Forever, as I wipe away HER TEAR
A fork in the Path, now what do I do; to the right there’s a Light, left there’s no view
Onward My Heart Pulsates toward a Voice as a mythical Siren : Mystically calls me
I am close I can feel the Heat of LOVE, from a distant she’s watching Me
As I round the Finally bend, She faces the sun “ Haloed “ by Glorious Sunbeams
Turning Around, in a Golden Gown , her Piercing Forest Earthen Eyes the Dreams::
I dreamt since Youth ; A reality of Beauty has come to me with her Heavenly Charms
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY : BARBARA JEAN
I will ALWAYS LOVE YOU, Kiss YOU, Hug YOU; FOREVER hold YOU in my Arms

Dedicated to Barbara Jean Gorlick For Valentine's Day and ETERNITY

living candle

                                                             Living candle
What is a living candle . People thoughts that that the great man of the world is the living candle how gave lights and happiness to the world with his blood like mathma gandi , neru and
Bagant singh etc. but can we miss some body the most important and valuable person in our life’s . who make our life better and happy with his blood and his life . think about it who is this person .
In my point of view we miss the main person in our life’s. our mothers who always play a very big role in our life’s . mothers always treat the children with his blood . we can say that the mother is the other name of living candle who burn herself and give the light of happiness .
Is our mother refuse any thing or any work that we demand in our homes or in our life’s .
I always see my mother while she is working and rest of his life she always think about success and a good life of his children’s . I told you a very most important and a very bad moment in my life . After my father death our fine national conduction of our family is not so good . In dinner and also breakfast my mother took food in last . but why. I tell you the reason of this
She thinks that’s firstly her children’s fulfill his demand of food and after that my mother eats a very low amount of food and she told us that her stomach fain during the large amount of food but that is not true I tell you truth it is not the pain of large amount it is pain of hunger . I see many times that my mother eat nothing . it is morality and love of mother for his children’s

YOU PREACHED: A Tribute to Pastor Arlee Griffith Jr.

you preached to us that the way to achieve an ultimate makeover
is to concede control to God and let the Holy Spirit takeover
you preached to us that we need to take up our towel of service
and then realize and utilize our God given purpose
you preached to us in the year of 2005
that we are all blessed to even be alive
you preached to us in the year of 2006
that we need to study the word of God to get our spiritual fix
you preached to us in the year of 2007
that there's a happy hour awaiting us up in heaven
you preached to us on how we can make 2008 great
is by getting our relationship with the Lord God straight
you told us we need to do more than just go wishing
but to go out and make disciples by going soul fishing
you told us we need to hear a word from our sponsor, Jesus Christ
and then stay tuned to His channel until we get it right
you told us that whether wise or otherwise
we need to stay focused on God's eternal prize
and when you get into your pastoral groove
your words and message make our spirits move
and when you ask to speak for a few minutes more
believe nobody is making a move towards the chapel doors
to an anointed man of God, Pastor Griffith I thank your grandmother today
for handing God her healing hands that brought you to this day
so congratulations and happy anniversary to you and the first family
for 19 years of leadership and preaching with God's authority

Mommy's Wedding

Today is the day of your wedding,
I am so happy for you.
I see how happy he make you.
To god I had been pleading,
That you would find happiness with someone.
God has answered my prayers.
Every time I see you happy with him,
I get happier and happier.
I love you and the man you are marrying.
I watched for over nine years,
I saw you at your worst.
I saw you cry,
I saw you scream,
I saw everything.
Everyday I wanted you to be happy,
Finally you truly are.
I may have seen you at your worst,
But now I see you at your best!

Mother's Day

Mother's day is approaching and the sadness in my heart is brewing.
Tring to fight back the emotions within .
Having to go to the grave yard to see you is tearing me up inside.
I know that we all must pass on someday but it does not ease my mind none the less.
I will go to your permanent home at the graveyard and shower you with my love for flowers.
We both shared that same love.
For if not for you i would not be here.
So i will continue to pay my respects to you every chance i get.
Wheather it be Mother's day or your birthday or Easter or Christmas .
I will be there to pay you a visit.
I want to say Happy mother's Day to you but its not happy any more without you here.
So i will say i love you and i Miss you and you are still in my heart and soul and there you'll stay.
Love ya Momma

Smiling in Heaven

You're smiling when I think of you,
yet in reality you were sad.
Burying your grief in a glass of
Dutch courage....let down again by dad.

You are laughing when I think of you,
yet in reality you seemed to cry -
hands wringing with anxiety,
....teardrops sting your eyes.........

We were happy when I think of you.
Childhood innocence blinding pain.
Rainy holidays in England,
or drinking sangria in Spain!

When did the sadness start then?
How could I have been blind?
When did the laughter turn to hurt.
When did sorrow shroud your mind?

You nearly told me something
not long before you died,
but we were interrupted
and you kept it all inside.

We didn't really talk again -
there wasn't any time.
Just that phone call saying you were ill,
no time to say goodbye.

Yet in my dreams you're happy.
Earthly misery dissolved.
Worldly differences all mended,
and arguments resolved.

Perhaps the lesson's this then,
that when all seems lost and dark,
when relationships are broken
and life has lost its spark,

in death we are united, and
love melts all the pain.
We can only smile in heaven
and happy memories remain.

daughter in the care of her husband as a tear fell from her daughters eye as the
front door closes the bathroom door opens and there in her doorway appears a

Momma

I miss you momma
Hi, momma
I'm your little baby girl
Momma

I’m here keeping a loving watchful
Eye on you momma

We don't want you to worry
I
Wish I could have been there

But now since I’m a full pledge
Angel
My duties are to love the mortal
Baby Angels

Momma I have my wings I want
You to know

Do you miss me momma?

Momma I kiss you last night while
You slept
You were crying in your sleep
Don’t worry momma

Please don't worry
Your babies are ok

I’m doing fine
I get to play with other angels like
Me
Just babies you see
We fly
We laugh
We go to one field of happiness
To another
Just been happy children momma
So don’t cry momma

Oh yes there is a lot of us here
Momma

I have many many friends

I have my wings momma
Did I tell you that?
Momma I seen my brother yesterday
He said he love and miss you too

But no need to be so sad momma
He’s ok
He worries for you a lot

He hate to see you cry

You know momma he visit you a
Lot
He sprinkles little roses fragrances
Around your room while you sleep
He said it makes you rest better and
I think it do

My brother and I was bouncing on a
Cloud momma

We look down and we seen you kneeling
Down by the brook
He cried because you were
Crying and he talked with God about you
So he knows you are ok
He said he don’t want you to worry
Momma
Momma you will be ok

Momma I love you momma me and my
Brother we do

So momma don’t cry
We picked you the pretties rose in heaven
Momma
We laid it on your pillow
So don’t cry momma
Mother’s day will be happy for you
We planned it out momma
We want you to have a happy mother
Day

We'll be there by your side momma
We are never to far from you momma

The Poopy Face

I am having a wonderful day,
I love to laugh, I love to play,
The only thing I need to be happy would be,
My bottle, my teddy, and my pacifier you’ll see.

I just woke from a nice long nap,
I jump around the room, dance and clap,
My tummy is full from lunch and such,
I love to snack, I eat too much.

A rumble in my tummy has stopped my fun,
Starting to frown, my diaper comes undone,
Squinting my eyes, bending my knees,
I push until the problem springs free.

My tummy feels better but this I know,
A smells is following me now wherever I go,
My clean dry diaper is now warm and squishy,
And there’s something mushy on my tushy.

I am starting to get very nervous,
Do I have to cry louder to get faster service?
New diaper scented wipe then,
Clean drawers would make be happy again.

my family lost

an angry father with no love
no acceptance there even a hug
a detached mother never a smile
ive seen her happy but its been awhile
a drugged out sister who raised me right
finds release with blade of a knife
my dear brother scarred for life
sorrowful crying fills the night
my family means the world and more
but loving me is their biggest chore
not a pleasure not a privilege
my heart soars but then they kill it
not all is bad at times they fake it
but false smiles cant always make it
a beaten child here i lay
waiting for the darkness of day
mother tries but cant hold on
sister only hits the bong
brother distant in great need
father reason i sometimes bleed
they are all i have they are my nothing
hoping, groping to find something
i hold them dear i love them so
better to fight than let go
divorce ending what had been
some chose faith and others sin
my brother chose nothing though i try
to be an anchor in a sea of night
still he drifts away so far away
living life one bad day to bad day
sister to high to hear my cries
pushing back the harder i try
i want her to see the light
i wont give up without a fight
father once so happy and energetic
now drained and sees me as pathetic
was so loving and full of life
now gets drunk and wants a fight
mother lost as i try to lead the way back
still slipping so far off track
i cant stand to see her cry
though it happens every night
i love my family they are all i ever had
and ill stand by them in good and bad
i love you family please come home
im so sick of being alone
i need you now more than ever
i need someone to make it better
i need a smile instead of shouts
i need words from the heart not the mouth
please family find me here
please leave behind the beer
leave the drugs and the knife
leave the darkness in the night
leave your new world ill make this one better
i said it once and ill say it forever
my world is lost without the center
family you are the core
everything that i adore
ill make every effort i want it back
the happiness of our long lost past

The Day I Made My Mam Cry

Folks say don’t cry, don’t be lonely, don’t sigh
But I made my Mam cry
Tears filled my eyes, to see my Mam cry
Mam got bad I got sad
Now at the hospital bed I sigh
To see my Mam die and I cry
How sorry I am that I made my Mam cry

Now all that’s left are thoughts of happier times now gone by
Mams laughter, Mams joy, her voice as she’d rejoice
Her Lord had come, and said come
How I miss her tender ways

But only one of us will say, I’m sorry I made my Mam cry
Look happy stop those tears, look at photos of happier days
Happy days except for one, the day that I made my Mam cry
Now later I rejoice to know that in time I’ll hear her voice
When on that happy road I’ll go, to know I’ll see her with our Lord

don't know why.

Calm as the ski's on this morning and as lonely as the song the birds sang,
this was my birthday morning and what a morning to have the blues,
the 37 before never had me filling like I'm the first one in a chain gang,
I know,I know it's my party and I'll mope if I want to I just can't help to fill as I do,

As I close my eyes I know at this moment I should be back home,
Then there's no more sorrow or emptiness and I'll be happy on this day,
as I pour the coffee in silence wishing I could call you on the phone,
towards a cup and lip I wish you were here... yet in silence I stay,

So this is my birthday and this is how I fill,
wanting what I can't have...a talk with my mom and sharing a laugh,
don't want to smile no need to celebrate I just want to take time to chill,
time to heal and time to recharge I'll do it on her behalf,

She never liked to see me down to her I was at my best when I smiled,
she use to say your only as old as you fill so keep on being you my son,
it's hard to be happy when your moms not around to call you her child,
happy birthday it just doesn't sound right today maybe tomorrow I'll have fun.

Heart To Heart

When I sat down to write this poem, I didn't know what to say.
Because you and I were never close, it just didn't work that way.

When I was growing up, I often wondered why you weren't there.
You never came that Christmas, I didn't think that was fair.

Regardless, I was still so happy when dad said we were going to see you.
I greeted you with open arms, my brother and sister did too.

However I learned very quickly that parenting wasn't your fort ay.
I guess it's not for everyone, I've forgiven you by the way.

I just didn't understand then, what I understand right now.
I believe you wanted to mother us, you just really didn't know how.

And now that I'm a mother, with kids of my own;
I realize how hard it is, especially when your alone.

One of the last things you said to me, before God took you away;
was, 'I want to be there to dance on Mahalia's wedding day!'

I told you that you would be there, no matter what, I swear!
And the look that I saw in your eyes, let me know you really care.

I realize now that your my mom, the one that gave me life;
Losing you felt like I got stabbed in the heart with a knife.

I think about you often, sometimes i even feel you near.
And when I sing my kids the ice-cream song, its your voice I hear.

I know that your in Heaven, with Aunt Glore and Granny,
but today we are all together again, one big happy family.

So heres my tribute to you, every word is from my heart.
I love you and I miss you..... There, I said my part!

Letting Go

How hard it is for us to let go
Of the person who has grown so old
How she came to live with us
To share with us her final years
And be at peace and calm her fears
To hold her hand and let her know that is okay
If she is tired and doesn't want to stay
But go and to see her family and friends
Who had already left her for a far better place
We must be strong and let her go
Knowing her life was oh so good and long
She will be missed that we do know
But we made her happy so she could go
to see the loved ones in that far better place
Where she will always be happy and safe

some things missing part one.

I'm not sure what it is, it's like that time of the year I'm grumpy a bit moody and every
thing seems unclear,
all year long I fill like I'm on top of the world and I could care less about what others
have to say I'm happy and humbled and I welcome every day,
now months away from my favorite time of the year I fill angry unwilling to be my self I
don't smile I mumble with a grin and sneer,
nothings has changed but I fill some thing is missing, I still have the love of a woman
with the passion that still takes me away,
my struggles are the same, my burden I know it's still part of the game but yet the cloud
still lingers,
listing to Elton John Billy Joel feeds my heart and dances with my soul, but I don't want
to hear those sounds,
the screaming sounds of 80's rock AC/DC Iron Maiden Judas Priest feed the filling inside
verses like we will rock you, killers, screaming for vengeance go with the look on my face,
even the confusion of Pink Floyd is there any body out there, the dark sounds of Don
Henley the garden of Ala to not just listen but fill the words from those singers,
even Adam Duritz and the counting crows time and time again I can't please myself no one
knows how I fill how I just fill like falling to the ground,
I am the same person who wrote You, I still fill it I still am the one who raise and falls
in life but inside some thing changed I fill almost out of place,
restless unwilling to be like I shouldn't be happy right now, my son will be going off to
collage to start his life,
my girl still as smart as any 16 year old in a 12 years old body and my wife still as
beautiful as a So. California sun set,
yet I'm wallowing in the spring time like it was cold and raining with gray ski's and
surrounded by wet pavement,
like a knife...
I'm filled with regret...
my enslavement.

Mother's Eyes

A child can dream of distant lands
or touching the stars above.
But, nothing is stronger than a child’s dream
except for their mother’s love.
A child could whistle to a happy tune
or play on a summer’s morn.
But, nothing is greater, in the mother’s eyes,
than the day that child was born.
A child can grow to be a person of wealth
or be happy and strong and wise.
Though, they have become adults in this world,
they’re still children in their mother’s eyes.

For Our Son

For Our Son
Our dear sweet baby boy,
Mommy and Daddy love you so.
I hope we can do all we can,
To make you happy and not sad.
As we watch you laugh and grow,
We hope that you will always know,
That you can be anything you want to be.
You will have some rough times to go through,
But always remember we are here for you.
Don’t be afraid to take risks in life,
Because nothing is a sure thing.
Make sure that whatever you do,
Makes you happy and not blue.
And always give 100 percent,
Because you will regret it if you didn't.
Remember girlfriends may come and go,
But friends are forever.
And when you find that special girl,
Remember that love is unconditional.
Don’t be afraid to tell us anything,
We may get disappointed at times,
But we will love you no matter what.
Through the good times and the bad.
Your Mom and Dad,
Love You With All We Have.

The wonders of eternal plea

Nothing really matters when you're living in a time of forget
when no one notices the secrets of your simple speck
Nothing seems to be in the cards any longer of your tarot deck to tell you of the wise light over flowing or your reality check
the deepest thing is glowing darkness , illuminating light and caressamatic passion that blooms
Really not being hypethetical rather being sweet with laughter visions that woos
Great doom springs forth like yesterdays wine and the chariot awaits to sieze all the men and women looking and lurking not being saturated on heavenly weans.
The wonders of the eternal pleahas a great systimatic love as a mother lying ready for a boy or a girl
Her soul being happy hull of excitement in every turn in the world
Embracing the form and fashion she just can't sit at rest knowing she's going to bear a happy spirited kid she is filled with greatness
The time is right she says
The story is ready to unfold
Ever wonder what it means to meet the secrets of the eye to lighten every load
The up coming mother knows and she's delighteed filled with the fruit of the spirit and with child is her gain
Knowing how to refrain from danger she cries aloud for help in the same, same manner of her heart's joy so fluent who would want it controlled, dealing with the matter of life she has a day un cold
