The Best Mistake

You made the mistake and now,
your afraid to face this day.

Your thoughts are racing through
and through.

You wonder if your family looks at
you as a disgrace, but you'er mother
takes you and reasures, your very
much loved in grace.

Even though your much to young
for this breathing little thing this
has become.

You couldn't just throw it out
like it was a peice of trash.

So you grow up and take the
path that led you to your best
mistake for years to come.

A mother's treasures

A solitary piece the diamond
precious rare gem most treasured
by those lucky enough to hold
Once in possession it is rarely out of grasp
Like the gemstone the mother
requires very specific conditions
in holding fast her (family/) childrens love
Treasured forever in her heart
she will go out of her way
to preen and protect them
holding them dear to her
deep within her maternal safe – the heart
closely guarded by the mind
Her infatuation of all treasures to her
are totally understandable
especially when you think to the complexity
of structure and process taken in creation
Just as from the ‘unbreakable’ in ancient greek
this alletrope of carbon
with strength of bonding between atoms
is representative of that strong love
between mum and child
The maternal being could be compared
to the superlative physical qualities of the stone
Even the characteristic luster
of this gem so prevaient from its ability
to disperse light and colour
compared to the many strengths, roles and qualities
of the mother
seen by the many she deals with daily
A most high pressured job
versus the high pressured temperature
within the Earths mantle
that forms the delightful rock it gives birth to
Infants delight and ignite the forbearer
just as the jewel would dazzle the room
a mother’s love encaptures the magical luster
of those she’s birthed and nothing
stands inbetween this richest of cargo’s

Since First I Saw You

Since first I saw you, it was your eyes,
mesmerizing, your gaze transporting
me to a realm, not of fantasy, real,
where young men go when cupid’s
arrow takes root.

Since first I saw you, it was your lips,
captivating, holding me frozen
in anticipation of our lips brushing
for the first time.

Since first I saw you, it was your voice,
a crescendo, light, invigorating,
each word you speak intensifies
my hearing, enveloping each
note, time ceases as I hang motionless
savoring, memorizing.

Since first I saw you, it was your hair,
long, flowing, gently rising above
your shoulders as a slight breeze
passes through sending waves
of your essence my way.
The sun magnifying each strand,
highlighting the minute
variances of invigorating color,
creating a halo effect, a portrait of
your beauty forever imprinted.

Since first I saw you, It was you,
my love forever more for you,
only you.

To My Angel Mother

I count my blessings everyday to have a mom like you.
You’ve always been there come what may, to lift my mood when blue.
You say that God sent me down as an angel just for you,
But really God let me choose, I swear to you that’s true.
I saw that we could always be there for one another,
And that’s why God sent me down I chose you for my mother.

I am the woman I am today because you raised me so,
You taught me well and helped me grow, and then you let me go.
You are my mother first of all, but now you’re my friend too.
I never strayed all that far, I like to stay close to you.

Our relationship is a special one I’m sure you would agree.
When I am needed I shall come, you can always count on me.
I know that you feel the same, I am always welcome home.
A warm embrace, a happy face no matter where I roam.

You mean so very much to me, you know that it is true.
I’d walk the very fires of hell, if that’s what I had to do,
To stay the ever loving daughter, and be best friends with you.

POET - DESTROYER

P-oetess, who is so GREAT and LOVELY
O-n the pedestal, I look up at her with so much glee
E-verything she writes are splendid and they all inspire me

D-estroyer is a nice name giving me good impressions
E-ncouragement through her comments, destroy all my writing inhibitions
S-o grateful that heaven brings her as one of my precious gems

O-h, what a great mother, grandmother and also a sweet friend and sister!
Y-earning to meet her someday, I still wonder
E-nchanting names she has are giving me puzzles

I do

A wedding is about the bride and groom
So why does everyone jump to assume
That they're opinions means the bible
It's mothers and daughters that create this vicious cycle

Moms want to throw their daughter the best day ever
They're reluctant to think their dreams aren't the brides endeavor
Its one day in life
With all strings attached
My energy sure feels the bite

No matter how hard you try,
People flake or become insane
You begin to wonder, why?

Then Eloping doesn't sound so mad
All that matters is the bride walks down the isle with the dad
The groom takes her hand
A strong love is witnessed and spread across the land.

Daughters keep your head and will strong
It's about you and the groom,
That's where the power belongs
Don't let other steal your focus
The moment you say “no”
Treasured friendships may become bogus

Everyone else, keep your mouth shut
Wish there was a nicer way to say this,
I'll just be blunt
Doesn't matter what you think or do
For once in your life,
This day isn't about you!

GRANNY

On hearing your death
What creep in my head was
Akon's Pot of Gold
Its melody within heart
You have served your purpose
So Rest in Peace
Born to Love
But it enslaved and betrayed
And onwards you pressed
Your foils nurtured your old age
As strong as you were
Your battle on the thin line
You won hands down
I admire You
Last week I saw and greeted
You were fit
What an awesome recovery
Indeed your Maker wiped your tears
But now it is finished
Well done
As a kid I run onto your bosom on visits
Then rained on me praises
But I lost contact
Next I saw you on life’s field of war
Then despised, not long
I grew wise to know
For with time all will grow
Was in turn and showered care
Hope you recognized
Thanks for your Blessings
My half seed of lineage
May God lay you to a Peaceful rest
Where Love will search to find you
Your foils cry
Swollen red are our fragile eyes
Thousand thorns within our hearts
Pain abounds here
May your Spirit comfort us
Smile down once again
Smile down once again
Memories well built would be well kept
Strong willed, Religious, Grateful
Lord we are thankful
Yours forever
A Single Parent's sweat lay to Rest in Peace.

How Can We Hurt The Ones We Love

How Can We Hurt The Ones We Love?

How can we hurt the very ones that we love?
How can we easily neglect our God above?

It seems like I often heard about many victims
Many times, it’s from a loved one who’s been with them!

The hate and the anger that boils from deep within.
Often “boils over” toward our family and friends.

It’s the love of Christ that we need to find!
His love can totally cleanse our life and mind!

The hearts of many families are bruised and broken.
By the harshness of many of the words spoken.

If we would allow Jesus to rule and reign.
We’d have little reason to murmur or complain.

If we would yield our lives to the master’s will…
The emptiness and brokenness, he shall fulfill!

If we could allow ourselves to sit at Jesus’ feet…
He can make any family totally complete!

If we could just listen to what Christ has to say.
His words of life would brighten our day!

As a family… Won’t you give HIM a chance?
And allow his love to change your circumstance!

Won’t you allow his spirit to bind you together?
You can experience his peace today and forever!

He can change your family throughout!
This is his will and what God is all about!

A Mother's Love

A Mother’s Love… How precious is the love of a mother’s heart! Even as a child… It’s there from the start. A mother’s love knows no boundary or limit. It’s often shown by how much the mother gives it! Whether her children are young or growing old… And whatever circumstances in life may unfold. Her love is continually a solid foundation… That can’t be removed, torn or shaken. Her love is what is a guiding force. Even if her children’s lives stray off course. I’m thankful for the love my mother’s given… It’s surely influenced the way I’ve been livin’! To all of our mothers across our great nation… May we show them our love and appreciation! Their love has stood and endured the test of time… I’m so glad that one of them is MINE! By Jim Pemberton

On her way

The princess calls me out tonight
She looks so beautiful, strong and bright
Tears stream down my face
As I look at my darling with her shining knight

taking her away
shes so beautiful today
I know he'll love you till the end
Forever, we'll be friends

Baby, Its hard to see you go
Leaving us for this young lad
You wont be around, but i'll be glad
You deserve more than this whole world
Show mummy everything you hold

My darlings leaving
to start her life
I can tell you, this one thing
She will be the most amazing wife

taking her away
Shes so beautiful today
I know he'll love you till the end
Forever, we'll be friends

THE BLACK AND BLUE BLUES

THE BLACK AND BLUE BLUES

There was blood on the street
On his shirt
And on his shoes
Yet it never made the news

Just another person
Just another tale
Just another sister with a sorry story for sale
A beauty bound to lose
Yet it never made the news

There had been thousands of tears
Throughout the years
And nights of varied and sundry fears
Her face was painted with blacks and blues
Yet it never made the news

She’d been to the cops to tell her story
“listen lady, no guts no glory”
To them it was too ordinary so they’d refuse
I’d pick up a newspaper to peruse
And still her story never made the fu**ing news

When the law finally caught the case
They understood the condition of her face
Needed not was D.N.A.for the culprit was known
After he beat, bludgeoned and broke every bone

This was a couple who should had never become a pair
She with morals and he with his nose in the air
Because she was his dynamite and he was the fuse
And she died yet it never made the fu**ing news

my mother

	MY MOTHER
I dedicate this poem to my beloved mother

I miss you mum, I miss you
I know I always will
I’ll never stop loving you
I knew that you were ill
I wanted to take away the pain
I would have done it too
But you just grinned and took it
That is so like you
I remember that look on your face
When you told me you were dying
It seems like it was yesterday
I could not stop crying
I know it’s been a long time
In fact it’s sixteen years
Time will never ease the pain
It cannot stop the tears
I say goodnight to you in bed
And think of you in bed
You’ll always be there in my heart
It doesn’t heal in time
My love for you will never die
And this I know is true
You just remember up above
I’ll never stop loving you
A large piece of my heart is gone
But I am not too sad
I remember the memories
And they always make me glad
You are my guardian angel
Who always looks after me
I look up at the stars above
I see you shine, I see
I hope you like this poem
I made it just for you
Remember I’ll love you always
And I’ll always miss you too

Whore

Comforting self destruction
Ice thawed by blood
Soul torn apart
Heart trampled in the mud
Innocent little life
Trying to find its way
Child with no father
Cries the day away
Love without reason
Life without hope
See the blooming soul inside
Smell the burning dope
Pain that's been felt
Many times before
All because of one
Skanky little whore

Special Friend

I know someone real special
Shows kindness and love from within,
Always there to confort me in time of need
Without a dought shes one true friend.

When my day isnt going so good
I know she is there for me,
Never puts me down a bit
But says by my side shell be.

We often would go for lunch
Shopping is always so much fun,
We stop for ice cream once in awhile
Course, its always secret from everyone.

But the best part of this friendship
Which still amazes one to see,
For it very rarely happens now
This poem's about my mother and me.

I know in my heart your love will never end.
On this special day, your Retirement
I hope you have lots of excitement.
My Mother is the friendiest, sweetist person I know
And it's proven by the actions that she show.
She worked hard all of her life,so many years
Stayed strong, and shedding very few tears.

Hugs

Teenage Girls clad in the latest fashions,
Do it whenever they meet,
Grown men aren't afraid to show some passion,
When their team's comeback is complete,
They can say hello, they can say goodbye,
And anything inbetween,
If you open your arms and crack a smile,
There is nothing that a hug cannot mean.

Thank you

Thank you – Zamreen Zarook

Thank you is a sweet word in the nature,
You may be a guy of adventure,
May be you are a person of agriculture,
What matters is your architecture.

Never forget the people, who guided you,
In no degree neglect who were with you,
Don’t ever overlook a creature, who gave a smile to you,
Because, you will meet them above you.

People forget the past due to selfishness,
They have no time to remember their unawareness,
Society, most of the times behave in awfulness,
They will understand when their lives come in to bitterness.

Be a person to thank and remember,
Don’t consider them as December,
Because, you might need them in November,
So, always be as a good subscriber.

Your My Dear Friend

We have been together
treasured joy now for many years
we trust each other with our
emotions, with affection, tears,

Any day when you are sick or hurting
I feel your pain - significant other,
when eighter-one needs attention
we help one another...

These mutual friendly feelings
for assistance, approval, support
form our tight bonds,
usually never broken

Sharing visions, time together
we respect each other,
regardless of shortcomings
I know you, "I love you anyway"

I'm Going Home

,

Lord thank you for this life,
As I have lived a full life,
It was not always as I would have like,
But I lived it to the best of what I could,
I’m going home; Home to the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been a long weary believer,
As I’ve been away to long,
I now know what I’ve been searching for,
As He's been there in me all along,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been and seen lots of places in life’s journey,
Now I yearn for familiar faces in familiar places,
I hear familiar voices calling me to come home,
I see familiar faces looking at me,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
My time is near, the hour I know not,
I see Jesus' face across the Heaven’s,
I hear His soft sweet voice calling me home,
I can’t wait for my real life to begin,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me.

Love Never Fades

There's a little history to this particular poem. I know I wrote it when I was 11 or 12 years old. I wrote it for my Grandma Dorabel, who is today 90 years old. I also wrote it for my uncle John who had been taking care of her at the time; I didn't want to leave him out so I put on the letter: For Grandma Dee and Uncle John! I wrote this short little poem along with a drawing of a cat and some flowers. However, I actually never sent the picture to her! My parents and I must have forgotten to send! To me that was unacceptable! I thought to myself today when I found the picture, I must send it now! The picture is now on its way to her, so I am happy she will at last receive it.

---------------------------- You can send me a bouquet of flowers, You can order me a box of chocolates, You can buy me a fancy outfit, But flowers don't last, Chocolates eventually disappear, Outfits get out of style, Yet Love never fades, And it's the most precious gift of all

Did The Lord Build Your House

Did The Lord Build Your House? This house of ours is “plain.” But is still standing. We’re “simple folks...” By many people’s understanding… We may not have much of what is “socially appealing”… But we have love in our hearts. And this is a good feeling! We may not be “wrapped up” in much of this world’s entertainment. But we seek God’s peace and a desire for contentment. We, as a family, have one purpose and “calling” in mind. To seek God’s ways of being merciful and kind… Each day we pray with much thankfulness in our hearts… For this is where happiness and gratitude starts! We’re thankful to the Lord for his unfailing grace… And for keeping us together in this special place… We’re blessed to have a God who is truly worth finding. His word in our lives is precious and worth memorizing! “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it!” God must rule and reign… So his love can completely fill it! Tomorrow

Tomorrow

If tomorrow I’ll be late for a coffee to "The Greek"
Do not wait
Above Olympus of pain I make portrait of Mother
In the loneliness I knit nostalgic mosaic of Father's
To the Children we build together the statue of longing
Let we kiss a lot Grandmother but not let us kill the exile

If after tomorrow I will be absent for cappuccino to "The Italian"
Wait me a bit
To save desperation about homeland
I will ride crazy within Dante’s circles
While daughter of Tyro’s King wound words from haven
Kills me every day and Kosovo in daylight

If today again I’ll not come to “The new club”
Don’t think that I don’t want
But there are gossips, rumors and fog
And I pray for everyone, even for those who only speak Albanian
Wait me to the field of the church where our childhood suffering
To make toast of tears; why we haven’t had the beautiful youth age

Family and Friends

Family, the enemy of our souls wants us to believe
The lie that we are alone
He wants us to believe
That we are treading hopeless road

But the cloud witnesses who urge us on
Tell us another story
The road we tread with light and beauty and fellowship
My friends, we are never alone

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

WHO AM I BY NAME ALONE

written 10th Aug 2013

I am God's child, first and forever
I am known by many different titles, a daughter
I am a wife
I am a mother
I am a grandmother
I am a poet
I am by several ways, known as a sister
I am an acquaintance
I am a loyal friend
I am a stranger
I am a cousin
I am an Auntie
I am a niece
But who is this person, they all call "Denise?"

She is a child to God
She is a niece
She is a cousin
She is a stranger
She is a loyal friend
She is an acquaintance
She is known to many, a sister
She is a poet
She is a grandmother
She is a mother
She is a wife
She is known as a daughter to many
She is everything, she'd ever dreamed her life to be....
She is happier than she ever imagined possible
SHE IS "DENISE"

A Story My Mother Told Me

someone always told me this with tears in her eyes...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

a wife left South Africa in the 1960’s to join her husband
who was in exile at the time...

in 1970 the husband was sent by the African National Congress to India to be its representative there...

the husband and wife spent two years in Bombay...

one afternoon the husband fell and broke his leg...

the wife knocked on their neighbour’s door, in an apartment complex in Bombay

the neighbour was an old Punjabi lady...

the wife asked the neighbour for a doctor to see to the injured husband...

a Parsi ‘Bone-Setter’ was promptly summoned...

the husband still recalls his anxiety of seeing ‘Bone-Setter’ written on the Parsi gentleman’s bag...

by the way, the ‘Bone-Setter’ worked his ancient craft and surprisingly for the husband, his broken leg healed quite soon...

but still on that day, while the ‘Bone-Setter’ was seeing to the husband...

the wife and the old Punjabi lady from next door got to talking about this and that and where these new Indian-looking wife and husband were from as their accents were clearly not local...

the wife told the elderly Punjabi lady that the husband worked for the African National Congress of South Africa and had left to serve the ANC from exile...

and that they had left their two children behind in South Africa and that they were now essentially political refugees...

the Punjabi lady broke down and wept uncontrollably...

she told the foreign woman that she too had had to leave her home in Lahore in 1947 and flee to India with only the clothes on her back when the partition of the subcontinent took place and Pakistan was formed and at a time when Hindus from Pakistan fled to India and vice versa...

the Punjabi lady then asked the foreign woman her name...

‘Zubeida’, but you can call me ‘Zubie’...

the Punjabi woman hugged Zubie some more, and the two women, seperated by age and geography, wept, sharing a shared pain...

the Punjabi woman told Zubie that she was her ‘sister’ from that day on, and that she felt that pain of exile and forced migration and what being a refugee felt like...

Zubie and her husband Mosie became the closest of friends with the Hindu Punjabi neighbours who were kicked out of Pakistan by Muslims...

then came the time for Mosie and Zubie to leave for Delhi where the African National Congress office was based...

the elderly Punjabi lady and Mosie and Zubie said their goodbyes...

a year or two later, the elderly Punjabi lady’s daughter Lata married Ravi Sethi and the couple moved to Delhi...

the elderly Punjabi lady called Zubie and told her that her daughter was coming to Delhi to live and that she had told Lata, her daughter that she had a ‘sister’ in Delhi...

Lata and Ravi Sethi then moved to Delhi...

This was in the mid-1970’s...

Lata and Zubie became the closest of friends and that bond stayed true, and stays true till today, though Zubie is no more, and the elderly Punjabi lady is no more...

the son and the husband still have a bond with Lata and Ravi Sethi...

a bond that was forged between Hindu and Muslim and between two continents across the barriers of creed and time...

a bond strong and resilient, forged by the pain and trauma of a shared experience...

and that is why, and I shall never stop believing this, that hope shines still, for with all the talk of this and of that, and of that and of this, there will always be a simple woman, somewhere, anywhere, who would take the ‘other’ in as a sister, a fellow human...

and that is why there will always be hope...
hope in the midst of this and of that and of that and of this...

hope...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

Dear little sister from another mister

You’ve been thrown left and right,
Crying to yourself every night,
Thinking all has gone wrong,
& you won’t be giving up after long..
You’ve been heartbroken
One
Two many times:
From old boyfriends,
To lies;
Father walked out,
Baby killed by mistake;
Your mom has disowned you,
But she still shows you lust…
Everybody knows the truth,
The pain that you do not choose;
They see what you show,
But see me…
I, T’Keyah Wilder,
I already know…
You’ve raped and thrown from left to right;
Crying to yourself every night;
Everybody saying they understand,
But you know you’re the only
One who knows your pain ;
On this land…
It’s a matter of time,
Before you kill yourself,
Stressing yourself,
Hurting you and everyone else;
Blaming yourself for,
Mistakes not purposely made;
Crying every time you feel like you just got
Laid,
You want the true love,
Love shown from the heart;
Honestly,
Coming from your big sister;
I think you need a fresh start,
Easing your pain with nicotine;
I’m surprised you’re not
Sippin lean…
I know it may be hard,
To forget about the past,
But there’s one thing;
I must ask from you and I
Want this to last;
Promise me, you’ll try your best
To stress less,
& pray more…
Listen to God;
Put him above…
All;
We’re not close like we used to be,
But you know I’m just a phone call,
Away…
Not far from you..
But I wish you’d realize,
This too…
Stressing is not working,
Cause death, the devil, lies,
& fear are lurking..
Promise me;
You’ll try to be the best you can be…
Dear Little Sister from another Mister!

Grandma Was Dancing

She was a tappin' to the tunes...
of those Mississippi blues...
step-pin' out, in her white...
Pat-en-leather shoes,

We were a watchin' her a prancin',
all through the kitchen, dancin'...
for she was so...hot & sizzlin'...
hummin' to those Mississippi tunes...

Funny curlers too, upon...
her head...for a new... Hair dew,...
she was, a swirlin'-in that bakers apron,
when her head...star-ted a bobbin' to...
those Mississip-pi blues,

'Pots were a knockin'...
Grandma a sockin' down all she brews,
while that kettle there was whistlin',
in har-mo-ny, with them good ole...
good ole...mississip-pi moves,'

That floor there, was a bouncin'
holdin' hands we were a jumpin',
an-a hoppin' In the kitchen, to those...
                  sounds ...
Where Grandma's feet were a stompin',
In her new...New-white-sexy-pat-en-
leather-shoes...

Mother, Forgive Us

Mother,
I used to walk in dark places and know that I was safe.
Because I knew that I loved you.

Mother,
I have abused my brothers and sisters.
I have contaminated your purity with murder.
I have raped your daughters.
I have kidnapped your children.
I have brought your blessed bosom to the brink of destruction.

And now, even when I walk in daylight I do not feel safe.
For now I am aware of what I have been to you.
Worse than a prodigal, I have endeavored to exploit the very mother who nurtures me.
And now that I have worsened whatever imbalance was in you before I arrived,
I endeavor to flee you like a coward through the grace of an oblivious savior.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of water.
I have dreamed a dream of living water.
And in this dream Jesus, my Savior, told me that he was not oblivious.
And in this dream Jesus told me that he was fully aware of my crimes against you.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of fire.
I have dreamed a dream of unquenchable fire.
And in this dream Jesus reminded me that I was sent here to heal you as you taught me of manhood.
And in this dream Jesus told me that if I could not love you, my mother, who I could see, then how could I love my Father in heaven who I could not.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of air.
I have dreamed a dream of whirlwinds.
And in this dream I breathed in the breath of forgiveness and I realized that it was not too late for us.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of earth.
And in this dream, Mother Earth, I see you and us together, fighting for our freedom.
Fighting against the delusion that our fates are not eternally intertwined.

Mother earth,
Please forgive us.
For true, we have betrayed you.
But it is not too late.

Mother,
I promise you that as sure as my savior is in heaven we are going to make it.

Mother,
I present myself to you as a living witness.
The Lord has not forsaken us.
For within our DNA is the secret to your healing and the end of our insanity.

Mother,
Thank you for loving and protecting me, even as I raped and wounded you.
And now it is my turn.

“In the name of Jesus, the earth and all of the earth’s inhabitants are one mind, heart, and body. In the name of Jesus, we are one person, one planet, and one purpose. In the name of Jesus, the lion will soon lay down with the lamb and this beautiful sound, this sound of the sacred Gaia will know harmony!!”

As my Mother Slips Away

I called my mother the other day- just to listen to her voice
She answered dear Steve – yes this is me- how are you this day
I said I was fine- it has been some time- I searched for more words to talk
She cantered a bit then came to a halt- as I began to say
Mother dear- this is Mark- how are you today
Mark she replied- I have a Mark- he was the oldest of three
How is school - are you making good grades- are you coming home real soon
I told her I would- If only I could- would she know me anyway
I visited my mother the other day- at a home for Alzheimer patients
Her stare in the air- made it be known- that she could not remember
I sat by her side- we nibbled on crackers- we looked out the window pane
Then I was father- she told me she miss me –I cried a thousand tears
She reached for my hand- I did not resist- I was blessed to make her happy
How are you Tom- I said I was fine- The kids will be home soon
I told her it’s time- I must go home - I have to work tomorrow
I took her hand- I’ll see you soon- Goodbye Steve she told me

As my Mother slips away today- how precious are my memories
For after this world –I can hardly wait- for my Mother to recognize me

My Story Telling Can You Trust Me

Gun fire all around, bombs going off in the distance
It was some of the angry mobs and resistance
Father was the king of SafeHaven a small kingdom
Like all other kingdoms it fell in random
Fire started in the castle
And along with it came a battle

It was a distance memory now because the child has now grew
Many things in this child that made memories stew
My name is Mastrey, a young orphan who was there that night
Mastrey saw her in the distance and her father and mother in his sight
Everyone was loud that night and made all the children hide
But that evening Mastrey saw her mother and father die

She ran into the bushes in such a fright
And evil doers were running around with flashlights
Mastrey remember it as he distracted them
Her eyes was so confused with problems
Mastrey new that it was because of what just occurred
His feelings of what those people did was not awkward

The distraction worked, he went back to were she was
Hiding and very scared she was, he asked her, can you trust me just because?
Her answer that night depended on her lively hood
As Mastrey was their with his hand reaching out to her as he stood
Pulling her up from the ground he looked into her eyes that were SeaBlue
Mastrey had made a life long friend and love, She knew it was true

I Wish

I wish I would have been there with you
Throughout my whole life
Watching you get old and tired
Watching your hair turn white

I wish I could have been there with you
Those many years ago
When you fought your biggest battle
When you suffered so

I wish I could have been there with you,
Every single day
Never of missed a phone call
Never missed a chance to say, hey

You are the only person
That was always there for me
From the moment I took my first breath
You held me so proudly

And now I hold you on my breast
We shall never be apart
And when you gently close your eyes
You’ll forever be in my heart

Dear Rapunzel

It seems ages since we met over your long, golden hair
an hour glass on the table keeping the meter.

It seems like too many dress up doll days when we played
take me to the river but don’t get our feet wet.

It seems we lost our inner selves painting our faces
painting our nails, singing karaoke at the bars.

Oh, to regain those lost years of our youth, unwrinkled skin
turn back all the pages, like winding gold on a spindle.

Instead we have just leaves, grieves, and grandchildren
with their laser guns, plastic skin and smug attitudes.

They never challenged gamey little midgets with foul intent
they had us to pad them safely with money, love and scent.

Dear Rapunzel, do please let your hair down one more time
and play climb out of the cellar and up the apple tree with me.

Signed Your Dearest Play Mate.

The Rain and Wind

The wind blew events all over the place.
Intense emotions and it gave chase.
Lightning lighting to show us the sky.
People try to sleep and not cry.
Wisping by the wind keeps us awake.
The time trying to sleep the storms take.
Chills in everyone gives all shiver.
The clouds surrounded by moonlight is silver.
Heavenly prayers that the rain will stop.
The flood stopped a car the person in it was a cop.
People have seen such devastation.
The road that people made was week in creation.
Rivers near by was over flowing.
Trees that were there was not showing.
By the hour it claimed many.
My father woke up and did not see any.
Floating by was a boat.
Keeping people above water and a float.
My father kept a canoe.
That some day we would use it, that he knew.
Time to paddle up and down the street.
The rain water kept getting on our seat.
It was so dark after the moon was behind the cloud.
Still the noise of thunder still covered the ears loud.
The smell of moist water never seem to go away.
My brothers seem to still sleep anyway.
My head was bobbing up and down.
I was so tired that I could not hear a sound.
The wind blew back and fourth.
It seems that my mom and dad paddle their worth.
Till all the people we saw with grace.
Help us out with embrace.
The time was so late at night.
Everyone was so sleepy and losing sight.
The fight with the weather was so hectic.
The feelings of energy was electric.
Losing to such natural disaster is hard to understand.
When people working hard to block the river with bags of sand.
With hard workers like my mom and dad.
They make things happen that is not bad.
Rough with weather they experience more than ever.
Leaders they are they are very clever.
From the night light of street lights to the morning glow.
The wind did not stop so.
Bringing in more clouds that ill.
The people who were still tired still had will.
The rush of water and waves blasting push the wall side.
Pushing and the force brought water inside.
The battle of our hour was getting long.
Backup people came to aid us was strong.
Rested they were to keep everyone with hope.
The people stopped the water with the strength of rope.
Heavy rain and loss of homes bring people together.
It is kind of sad that this was the only time to gather.
Chaos comes happiness how true.
This is why we are human that gives us a clue.
It is our nature to keep rain falling.
To know when it is time for our calling.
The winds bring such pain and sorrow.
That is why rain sometimes fallow.

A Sinner Like God

“I have forgiven mother”
She tarries with hope
that the good woman will pray her clemency for her own sins,
but that hour is expired;
Gee grew a strong wit
"Mother is no longer my burden"
Jesus came from hard conscience to corroborate her lies
The WORD written in black and white:
“Us twain is now one; for this reason I depart from her”
Three moons less than time in the safety of the womb is slight

In the past mother was necessity,
but she grew weary of the pace;
her birth city received her
The old Jewish woman was left
with stage three pressure ulcers
while the twain bender in Atlantic City
Their backsides were not masked by mother’s conformity
My mother's now defiant fingers work dutifully in another excrement,
goat stool in her callaloo garden

Before the recession, money was tossed in all directions;
I took hold of a few green ones.
She lived to outdo her alliance,
but high seat killed Miss. Thomas’ cat
Mother watched her outshone the Jones
The recession was never her downfall;
immorality got the better of her.
Jesus was overlooked
“put the WORD to work,
compensate the guardian of your youth”

She had to let a nation know how well off she was
Her enemies know her silver spoon was achieved
Her splurges buried ethics, and smiles were wide as graves
She let me know in scripts:
“A new being I am now; My shine is unlike years ago”
Vanity is not here in show, but her heart remains the same
Like the Jewish elder, mother is spurned
with bruising on her heart.

And Sometimes Why

I hoped to be with you today
That once again we two might play
True friends forever we will stay
One thing that will not go away
Why

A funny thing you’re asking me
For there is nothing wrong to see
This time I thought it best to be
With friend awhile and live care free
Why

Again persistent question why
Pounds at my doors for its reply
No longer can my sighs deny
A friend who really needs to cry
Why

For breakfast Mama didn’t show
And where she went he didn’t know
He didn’t even see her go
What made my mother behave so
Why

I don’t know why I’m telling you
With all the pain that you’ve been through
We’ve always been like brothers true
There nothing that we two can do
Why

                                                           So critical
                                                   For most part difficult

I never really could grasp her in such way
She just wants me to some how stay
She comes to my man cave and makes me obey

Shy she was and now I am scared
In such way I almost cared
She thinks she can do everything for me I swear

She makes me guess everyday but I keep on believing
Because it is fun to give her a kiss, while she does not know when she is sleeping
She stresses out but I will tell her my love for her keeps deepening

So for the most part I just keep her close to make her smile and me
When I do things I do it for her it is always a key
Call me romantic or call me stupefied, but it makes her so, so, sooo, happy

Family

A decade in to
a new millennium,
a woman, nearing
a century on Earth,
braces herself in
a doorway of
the house,
she has lived in since birth.

Her oldest son unfastens his belt, and takes a seat at the end of her table,
where her middle son just fixed the legs of the chair; to make sure it was stable.
Her youngest son brushes the webs off the wall, and scrubs the stains from the floor.
Her only daughter packs up her pictures, and helps her through the door.

A decade in to
a new millennium,
a life, almost
a century long,
comes flooding back
to the thoughts of a woman
who feels removed
from where she belongs.

Her daughter tries to lift her spirits, (from the room in which, she slept as a child)
but no one could easily witness their memories, all being sorted, and filed.
Her house is dissected, and put in a truck that waits - like a thief - in the drive.
-The cumbersome stance; the delicate dance; together, they help one another survive.

A decade in to
a new millennium,
a woman approaches
a century - passed.
A man in the attic
waves from the window -
Assuring her:
This home will not be her last.

Good Night Darling

Lift your head
and look ahead

Theres so much in stall
For all who are small

Dont be afraid my dear
because mummy will always be there

I'll cuddle you all night
When you cant handle the fight

Till you fall asleep
and you no longer feel weak

The way your blonde hair glistens in the dark
I lie here and feel the beating of your heart

Your fragile skin
and determination

gives me a new spark of life
in the middle of the night

I suddenly feel a new strength within
to continue to be the best mum in all of creation

Bless it be Thee!

May 27, 2010

Bless it be Thee!

Bless it be Thee!
Truly, I love you.
My whole my new.
My heart your key!

Loose lips and free.
Realistically, I knew!
You are far and few.
I can justly let it be.

You know, it is Gemini’s Full Moon tonight,
The Universe is waking up figuring us all out.
Point me out as a random beam of Moonlight,
I am engulfing and enriching charts in route.

Swiftly suited, I stand in my place!
Bless it be it to Thee! A closed case!

Time is of the essence

Time wasted cannot be regained, am going to make the most
Of life while breathe, and time remain. Death is a
Subject blocked from the mind, I only pass
Through this life once and am going to enjoy, and make the most,
And appreciate life more, while there is still time.

This morning I stood by my window, thinking on
A situation am in. I prayed to God and the topic came to mind,
Time is of the essence and I must make a start. Now is the time, to do something important
with four special people so dear to my heart.

Yesterday is gone and I will not see it again, I’ll do all in my power today.
Time is of the essence, and a precious commodity; I’ll let nothing, or no one
Deter me; I am determine so let it be.

I'll spend quality time with my children, freinds and family too
I'll tell them that I love them, and show them I care. Time is a healer
and I'll have nothing but regrets, if I fail to do what matters most to me
now is the time, time is of the essence, and I won't let it slip from my grasp.

Cuddle Babies Replay Memory

I remember the day Trixie died,
Sinbad staring out upon her grave.
No crying, just day after day, homage.

I couldn’t stand seeing the pain,
Nothing I did, petting, holding,
Could bring him away from the grave.

So down to the pet store I drove
Hoping for a partner to please
And found a pair of cuddles, babies

Arms wrapped together in play
One black one orange which should it be?
Orange like Sinbad or black?

But how could I take one from another
Leave another hole, so black and orange
Babies two, drew Sinbad back over

To sleep the peaceful sleep of cuddles
Warmth from another, held like a mother
Or held like a father, Sinbad was mine

Once more we could live in happy cheer
Death deserted from our midst
When the wonder of youth appeared.

Thanks for that Memorable Day

07/31/2012
Written by: Florence McMillian (Flo)
Dedicated and written for my friend, Lisa Giessinger, as a special message from her to her mother, Hazel – about a most memorable day they spent together.

To My Mother Hazel Thanks for that Memorable Day This poem is specifically Being written just for you I requested it from a friend For she knows just what to do That special day we spent together Is so very memorable for me, I’d say I want it to be memorable for you too With a poem written in a rhyming way We’ve had our ups and downs in life With probably most of them being down You raised me to know how life can be Not easy to cope, with down things all around Well I’ve stepped up to a new level To be happy no matter what the hell Of any negative surroundings to be I live thankful that my life is all well That special day started out so bad for me As I was headed for back injections again I was really happy you were taking me there With a comfort feeling knowing we are kin It seemed like the first time in a very long time Where we just enjoyed each other that day You were kind of like that sweet rose One stops to smell along the way In this path I have traveled Through many overgrown weeds It was refreshing and pleasant this time With no discussion of what someone needs We got along together talking and laughing It gave me such a lasting good impression We even ate at Don Julio’s afterwards I sure hope you had just as much fun I want you to know how much I appreciate this time we spent together Making this a most memorable day for me To truly cherish for always and forever Now let me tell you, that day did get worse With everyone putting me down everywhere You were the rose amongst the trash talkers It felt good to know my Mom really does care Even if everything dips to the downside Within the journeys of my life I may go through No one could ever take our shared moments away They’re in my heart forever and I’ll always love you I had the best time with me and my Mom If I told the world, that’s what I’d say So I really want to thank you Mom For that most memorable day Love, Lisa Florence McMillian (Flo)

INGREDIENT OF AN ARTIST

One ingredient of the artists is woman
That is why they love their mothers
I love to become an artist
So I will love my mother
She is the precious ingredient of my life
Not less than the love that speaks out itself
She is my womb when I was alone
She is my hug when I am in tears
Now I am old still I love her
I love her, I love her, I love her
So much...
I need to be old for me to get young
I realized that in my younger days
I don’t give a damn to loving her
But requested many things as if I don’t care
I love my mother, please forgive me!
I love you so much
Never and never will you leave me?
I am indeed wanted to become an artist
But the real artist is my mother
Never surrendered to hardship
I will stop not to end
Remember I wanted to become an artist
And you are my ingredient!

Brave like you

I find myself not , eating, thinking, and sleeping
Sometimes , not doing things right in my life
The many obstacles , Im going threw
Just to reach one goal
The many blocks, I walk
Day or Night

Sometimes confuse on time
Wishing it was a dream
The moment , I heard
You went to sleep
All, I keep saying is
Who , understood me like you
For the many reasons
I love you

I appreciated everything, you did
From the braveness, you gave my soul
The gentleness, in your words
For each teardrop, you wiped off my face
Now, my teardrops seem to reach the ground
While , I look in (Heaven)
Praying your looking down

Showering this fear off my skin
Feel my feet
They're so weak
But , for you

I get on my knees
Singing and crying, to God
That my angel is you
So , I can whisper in your ear
Mama, make me brave
Brave like you

Missing You

Missing you is like feelings of thee morning dew. The very first time I glanced at you, something like a widow a woman that husband has died. Wishing we had just a little more time. Wishful thinking believing everything you ever said was true shows how bad I want to be with you. Reminiscing over here dwelling on the past, indicating a desire of admiration I grasp. Adoration and appreciation is what I feel for you, longing suffering missing and enduring the lost just to speak to you. From morning till midnight, sunset to sunrise moving into the afternoon time I’m missing you. Arousing emotional response in motion missing you is my religion. My system of belief, therefor you’re an apostle sent by Christ making me a flock of one in your missionary. Leaving me with anxiety and tension I stay missing. Impatient for your fulfillment, missing you is an addiction and psychological dependence. Needing to see you even for a minute, in a recession I remain unchanged retain missing you.

Unspoken Love

She saved herself from pick up lines though she looked vulnerable
She's sooo lovable her heart definition could ruin my poetic abilities
You cannot put a price on her she's not billable
If only her lips where adjustable my soft poetry would define her inabilities and weaknesses for the mute to scream happily ever after
She's untouchable i O you an explanation
Her tears tattoo broken spirits uploaded on instagram
She's no twitter baby though followers invite themselves its unbelievable
I could throw nice verses in our conversation but i'm afraid i'm love blind

I'll tell you more about her if you ask me....ask me nice

Bloody Observance

We fight this war as enemies
Yet if we threw away are weapons
We could be the best of friends
We would never know

We fight on impulse
With a fear of slaughter and pain
We came face to face
We did not speak
Only our fears fought

I now stand above you
Then kneel and close your eyes
I have killed you
I search your pockets and find a photograph
It’s of your mother, wife and children
It’s wet
I look closely and see tears
Streaming from their eyes
I fall and weep in victory

We were only boys
Who wanted to laugh and play
And stay alive
Only boys

A Special Kind of Love

An unbreakable bond is what we share
Our love is genuine and rare
Beautiful memories of you and I
Laughing, smiling and joking
Unafraid to be ourselves
We are mother and daughter

Openly talk about whatever is on our mind
We fully trust one another with our deepest thoughts
We are best friends
How awesome is that?!
Never have to pretend
We can just be ourselves

We love each other unconditionally
Occasional attitude
Moody ways
And those not so good days,
Will never change the way we feel
Our love is one of a kind

We don’t always see eye to eye
But we communicate to make things right
Never stay upset with one another for too long
For our love is much too strong
Togetherness
An undeniable bond

You are my daughter and I am your mother
Always there for one another
Fully supporting and encouraging each other’s dreams
Uplifting, never discouraging
We are each other’s biggest fans
We are one

Kiss and hug each other on a daily basis
Show each other love and appreciation
I’ m an image of you and you’re an image of me
We are very special to one another
Mother and daughter is what we are
We Are Each Other’s Heartbeat!

Jesus My Life Is One HUGE Embarrassment

For many years... My life has been an embarrassment! Filled with hopelessness and discouragement! Many things I thought I had enjoyed... Have left in me... A large and empty void! Many nights, I would cry myself to sleep. Knowing the hole my life was in, was very, very deep. Then one day, I called out to God! I wasn’t sure if he’d listen! My family, my old church, I was now missin'. My family prayed for me for so many years. I often brought them embarrassment and tears. God... I tried everything else... I want to come back to you! I need you now Jesus! I really do! Please come into my heart, and cleanse me within! Set me free from all addictions and sin! I know that you will never let go of my hand. My whole life, on your word, I shall now stand. Only you can satisfy the emptiness in my soul! I am now complete, satisfied, and made whole! By Jim Pemberton

The Ugliness Of Divorce

My parents taught me the Christian ways.
I was taught to obey what the Bible says.

I was proud of my parents! I really was!
And loved them so much… Just because!

They meant everything to me! I was proud!
Until one day... There appeared “a dark cloud.”

It was like a “darkness” hovered above.
Leaving their marriage empty of needed love!

Though they were together many years.
There were many cracks that soon appeared.

I say a once happy home soon destroyed.
Being with one another…. They no longer enjoyed!

How could this happen! I had wondered…
To see a happy marriage “totally plundered

As sin crept in... And allowed to prevail.
Very soon this marriage simply failed.

May this be a warning for me and you…
That our commitment remains faithful and true!

If your marriage is heading toward separation…
Please seek God for a healing and restoration!

If your planning to have a divorce..
Jesus’ love can put it on the right course!

He can replace the brokenness and hurt within..
And can put your lives back together AGAIN!

L O M L Always

The thought of her smiling gave me faith
From when we were little we bathe
My mother and her mother is best friends
They both took care of us and gifts they send
We pulled each others hair
And she was always quick to dare
When I smiled at her she knew it was no good
She learned to pull me up and she understood
I just wanted her attention and that she gave
She knew it in her heart love was my slave
From when we were a child with full of energy I had my way
She was the one who was my guide and she did not push me away
When I saw her cry one day and her eyes was so sad
I gave her a flower and I smiled at her and made her glad
When some one special leaves her heart
I sat by her and never wanted to depart
She is the love of my life always
She is the one who gave me my hope through out my days
So I gave her my heart and love from within
And I did not make it thin
I stood by her side since I was a child
I gave her my support when we were wild
She knew who I was and I let her go the distance
I did not hate her or give her resistance
My mother and her mother are great friends and their virtue will never end
Because of their love they both trusted us to live our ways to transcend
So my childhood friend was my best friend, and now my wife
She new it from the start that we part of each others life

Alicia and Caroline

The name, Caroline comes from so many places
Some say it means a melody to sing
One Latin version of flattering origins can bring
Beautiful words and a blush to my face

But that is not how it all came about
My name is one that means something else
A choice that my parents made, that simply tells
The bonds of friendship and a legacy sprouted

They were childhood friends, hardly every apart
So different they were, Caroline was freckled and fair
And my mother, Alicia, with porcelain skin, and very dark hair
But bonded like sisters, strong ties from the start

I have heard the stories, of how they would run
Through the meadows of childhood
Not always doing the things that maybe they should
Mischief making, holding hands, and school days of fun

But deeper it went…and later when I was born
This woman, I knew as my mother’s best friend
Was the one who was there, when mother’s life ended
When grief overwhelmed me, and together we mourned

For my mother would die when I was fragile and young
My mother’s dear friend, bore the arms that I found
She wrapped me in love, and I am deeply so proud
To wear and to honor, a friendship so lasting, it still carries on

                                                        ~

Parents Need To Be In Church With Their Children

Parents Need To Be In Church With Their Children… Many parents bring their kids to church… Hoping they’ll be a “better person.” They want them to hear about God. And listen to the “Sunday lesson.” They often tell the children to listen and obey God’s ways. But you’ll never see the parents at church on Sundays! They’re “too busy” to spend time with God... Even at home. Then tell their children they love them. And often leave them alone. They parents don’t want to take the time to give them their attention. They want the Sunday school teacher to give them a “moral direction.” Parents need to be the man and woman God wants them to be! They need to have Christian principles that their children can see! Won’t you be there for your children and help them to understand… What it means to be a Christian. And to be a Godly woman or man! It’s Christ’ desire that you as parents be a Godly example! There’s just too many temptations for your kids to handle! Living for God. As a family. Is the best thing you can do! Christ stands at your heart’s door… The rest is up to YOU! What is it when?

What is it when your heart is filled with joy?
What is it when your soul sings for another?
What is it when you begin to truly cherish someone?
What is it when life seems so much easier?
What is it when you begin to share internal thoughts with another?
What is it when your eyes connect and express your thoughts without uttering a word?
What is it when you are automatically drawn to a person?
What is it when you find it hard not to think of someone throughout the day?
What is it when you change the routine of your day for someone?
What is it when little things become big things?
What is it when everytime your clock ticks you think of someone?
What is it when you sit and stare at pictures for no reason at all?
What is it when you begin to ignore that person imperfections?
What is it when you begin to yearn and crave for someone?
What is it when the feeling of being apart for more than an hour is devestating?
What is it when you find yourself making breakfast and you don't cook?
What is it when you find yourself doing things out of the ordinary for another?
What is it when you find yourself looking in the mirror just a little bit longer?
What is it when you discover that life is so much better with this person?
What is it when you feel like you are on top of the highest mountain?
What is it when you feel like the ocean is so much calmer with this person?
What is it when the phone rings and you are hoping it's that special person?
What is it when you find yourself giving without a care in the world?
The answer is SIMPLY LOVE!!!!!

Through A Prison Glass

You came unexpectedly, and i was surprised,
you smiled and placed your hand on the glass and cried.
I leaned my head against the glass and told you i am sorry,
i whisper through the phone line, ill start a new story.

You knew i was innocent but you still didn't believe me,
the only person i thought that would stay by my side but you couldn't be.
Mom standing by your side and not wanting to talk,
i got really upset that you came at all cause i didn't want to see you walk.

I needed you, when i was in need,
i was there for you when ever you didn't want to bleed.
I loved you and i cherished you with all my heart,
but before you left your words hit me like a really sharp dart.

You said i failed you,
you cried to me and i knew it was true.
But i needed you to understand me,
but you went your way and upset me.

The glass is now empty and i cant find you even with the fact that I'm out,
i tell you i love you but all you do is shout.
I've lost you for good this time,
so i think i have to do one more crime.

LAGNIAPPE

In a corner of the town, stands a building of antiques.
Not an ordinary building but one that percepts the imagination;
sense datum begins and a scene takes place.

I am transpose to my great grandmother days.
I see the rocking chair that she owed
and the Raggedy Ann Doll given to me by her.

She is telling the store’s owner about his antiques
that this rocking chair was her favorite piece.
Oh, and she would like this doll for her grandbaby.

She said she wanted several rooms of furniture.
All must be vintage like her.
However, do not think of her as old.

She was short and plump with olive skin.
Her hair radiance gleamed.
Her smile meant everything.

She almost forgot my small gift that is when she shouted Lagniappe.

My Mother's Friend

I stepped out of the car, on that shattering day and it was like the end of the world had taken all the air away. Even my tears, had nowhere to land, frozen thick in my throat, like desert sand I needed to cry, to shout, to wail The springtime sun, was no comfort at all She was there by the gate, anxiously waiting in the sun My feet froze in place, my knees too weak to move Without hesitation, she began to run… She hadn’t yet been told, but somehow she knew… She grabbed me in her arms, and together glued, We cried our tears together She loved my mother She was my mother’s childhood friend And as the years unveiled She was there for me, as well... Until the end

Praising Mother

Our beautiful mother,
Who gave birth to us,
Nurtured us and raised us,
With loving care,
Our companion all our lives,
Father's beautiful wife,
Friend through calm and controversy,
A miracle of kindness,
Taught us right from wrong,
With us during our married years,
Grandmother and great-grandmother,
Godly and religious,
Looking after all her children,
Loved and respected by us all,
I remember her whimsical sense of humour,
She had the patience that passeth understanding,
A tribute to all mothers on this special day,
Happy Mother's Day and God bless you.

marking time....to my friends on poetry soup.- the Lord helped me fight death and won.

i don't want to be just marking

time. i died on november 20,

2008, during surgery. i was

on a vent when i awakened

december 2, 2008....my sisters'

birthday. what made me llive

i'll never know. i know there

are things to do on this side

of death.

i have no time for marking time.

i have a stupid bag hanging from

my side now. i am supposed to

"get comfortable with it". well

that was a laugh.

that was a laugh until i thought

of the people that had these

things with no hope of ever

getting away from them.

i am so lucky. 14 days i laid

on a vent, then 22 more.

i came home 3 days,

then

i had
great pain in my chest...
.
well this is great i said,

a pulmonary emboli, 15 more

days, three days home.

then back to e.r. blood pressure

too high. this bought me

4 more days in e.r.

i am home now and finally

have spent 19 days home.

i feel every pain and i feel

every time that i feel good

yes, i am never marking

time again.....there is

something about fighting

for your life and your sanity

that straightens things out.

i don't recommend it but

i wish i could let your hearts

know what i know.

A Box of Hope and Dreams

I keep my dreams and aspirations,
stored away neatly in this box.
Tied off with a pretty pink ribbon,
secured tightly with key and lock.

And every time I feel like a failure,
I open it, so I can again feel alive.
Arms of dreams tightly surround me,
giving me strength I need to survive.

I’ve hidden this box in a secret place,
where I’m the only who can see.
A beautiful box of hopes and dreams,
finely sewn with love at the seams.

This box is opened quite frequently,
especially when we’re apart –
this rhetorical box of memories,
in perfect synch with each beat of my heart

I was Beautifully And Wonderfully Made

I was beautifully designed and wonderfully made… There’s nothing that God has given to me that I would ever trade! I was fashioned and created by God… With one thing in mind. To be an image of HIM… In a body by his design! He fashioned and formed me with the dust of the ground... He gave me his love. It ‘s all around! Though there are imperfections and “inflictions” within… God is patient and willing to forgive my every sin! Through life… I’ll endure trials, heartache and despair... God is with me... He’s always there! I know that his son, Jesus… Has given me his grace. He has provided for my life… “A resting place…” I’m going to serve this God… Whom I love so much! How I long for his presence… His “special touch…” Thank you God... For a “new” person you’re helping me to be! And may your light continue to shine through people like me! By Jim Pemberton When I'm going through a discouraging time... This poem reminds me of how special that I am to God!

Does Family Really Matter Anymore

A family had a wedding... The brother wasn’t invited.
The fact they didn’t want him,..
Was already decided!

When asked why his name had been “omitted.”
It was because of past wrongs he had committed.

The words spoken, one could hardly believe it!
Any kind of forgiveness?
 They didn’t receive it!

How many times are loved ones not
 invited to “family occasions.”
Often times, families listen to “outside persuasions.”

Someone does something,
that may not be liked.
Then they’re often told to “go take a hike!

No wonder why many families
battle one another!
They have failed to truly love each other!

As we continue to see families drift apart.
This often leads to a wounded
and broken heart!

Christ gave us his best!
When we were at our lowest!
A life of mercy and forgiveness…
He wants to show us!

If we can’t treat one another
 as Christ commands…
Then HIS way of family living….
We’ll never understand!

Never Thought It Would Happen

We began so little and young,
Life beat us bad and twisted our tongue.
You and I walked a pretty rough road I can say
When you stumbled I was always there to make you stay.

Stay and not give up, I didn't give up on you than, so I wont give up on you now,
We danced our life so brutally and softly, but this time you didn't look my way and bounced.
I thought we would go on like this forever, but I guess like people say,
Nothing lasts forever.

I AM THE GENERATION GAP

I often think okay I am not that old. I am a pretty cool grandma.. I grew up where mom was the lover, protector and most of all the boss.. I never would have thought to slam a door in my mothers face.. She would have broken it down and beat me with door frame that fell off…but that was way way back when.. You know the time where no one had a cell phone and didn’t care.. No one had computer at home …we did have a typewriter but I am the only one that used it.. We had a small record player and I had vinyl records ..oh how I could rock with Elvis, now I don’t understand the names of groups let alone what they are saying … probably better off not knowing. We wore jeans back then but they were not the staple in our closets, now the are a must have for $100.00 wow I could have bought a whole fall wardrobe for that and a coat..
Food has changed the rule at our house was if Mom put it on the table we ate it or went hungry.. Now every one has to have a special meal.. and manners those are a thing of the pass, I rarely hear a teenager or anyone else say yes sir or no sir.. It is a thing of the past and people don’t speak like that anymore.. Stop talking now means ok lets see who can talk the loudest and longest. My mom had a look that said you had better shut up right now or I am going to kill you.. She wouldn’t kill us but she sure would make us pay .. We went to church on Sunday or Monday if mom said so..
I am sure my granddaddy often thought what is wrong with this generation they will never survive.. But the most of us have and now we think this of the next generations to come.. But I really realized how old I was today when my 16 year old grandson, walked on my new mopped kitchen floor and when I said the floor is wet.. He very calmly replied not to bad.. Laughing as I finish this life has definitely changed.. but 50 years from now he will probably be thinking the same thing I am … where is this generation going to go?????????

ESPECIALLY TODAY

You don't have to say, "I love you"
For mom and dad to know you do
It's felt in the warmth of your touch
That they are cared for so much
And most especially today!

You are there when they are weak
A voice when they can't speak
You are a hand that lightens loads
A comfort when the storm billows
You are eyes to help them see
All the things that need to be
Their feet when they can't walk
An ear when they need to talk

No, You don't have to say, "I love you"
For mom and dad to know you do
It's felt in the warmth of your touch
That they are cared for so much
And most especially today!

You are a light on their dark days
Friend and daughter in so many ways
You have Dehaan run by the store
To bring groceries and so much more
Give time when there's little to spare
A thousand ways you show you care
"Jamie" sayings that make them smile
Your always going the second mile

No, You don't have to say, "I love you"
For mom and dad to know you do
It's felt in the warmth of your touch
That they are cared for so much
And most especially today!
Yeah, you don't have to say, "I love you"
But they are so glad that you do!
And most especially today!

Always I Miss You

When I'm home sick, sulking half the day because your not here,
And getting sadder if I say madder because your not there,
I remind myself in an unusual way theres worse fared,
If you don't mind being compared,

Repeating the many ways you cared,
The experiences fondly replayed in many ways,
Thoughts and memories that make me gay,
 Every recipe, every taste,
Looking back it all seems in an awkward haste,

Now it is what I use to fill my plate,
 It's what I use so I won't be late,
 Staying here learning to appreciate,
All the miles, trucks caring freight..

For your Christmas gifts the children just can't wait,
But if you visit my mind would quake.

Tear in My Heart

My mother never knew what to do with me.
I was an obligation that needed to be.
But I wanted her to love me.
Simply… love… me.
I would do anything to please her.
Wanting her to be proud, I worked hard at everything I did.
But she viewed me as her competition, not wanting to be out done.
Needless to say our relationship wasn’t what I wanted it to be.
I dreamed to have a family of my own to simply… love… me.
I had a daughter who didn’t live.
And my mom said someone like me shouldn’t have kids.
Though she didn’t know about my epilepsy and other problems with my health.
Then my life fell apart with hard times everywhere.
I didn’t show it but hidden…my health wasn’t all that good.
My husband’s diabetes affected his mind. And epilepsy was working on mine.
I ignored that fact. I worked hard as my epilepsy kept tearing every thing apart.
Finally with a hard earned job… Fourteen years later I had a son.
The son I’d always wanted to have.
I was so very proud but was attacked by both health and son, at every turn.
He was wilder than most creating problems everywhere.
He blamed me for everything and everywhere something went wrong.
My health did it again at work as my relationship continued to crumble with my son.
He hated a mother who had to work, had epilepsy, and just wasn’t there for him.
I was slowly dying when he was 12 and I was 52, when finally I was saved.
That night… I met God and he said I had more to be done along the way.
I came back and did every thing I could to help my wayward and unruly son.
But way before I helped him go to college… I knew I had lost my son.
But his best friend needed a mom so I was there for him.
It seems so strange to tell, but as my son moved out… His best friend simply moved in.
And it’s even stranger to tell that…
The son who will occasionally smile at me, is someone else’s son.
He’s my heart-adopted son and has brought my first son closer again.
Jesus was always here and… the tear in my heart is gone.

Fruitful
To pray together

Many ways to become acquainted to Him
There are experiences, groups
Encounters, Courses
To pray

Take part of parish liturgies
Be abundantly nourished by the word of Eternal God
With active participation
In the Sacraments

Death's Door

Death is a time where people will never breathe
We can’t talk or walk and even squawk about our lives that we lead

What do you suppose is behind deaths door?
I’m just wondering, because eventually is going to come to us all
Should we be scare? Or fight for it, not to happen? Or just let it be?
Has anyone thought about Death, like me?

Death has come for two people I had a chance to know on, 02/02/12;
however, this was a week ago.
Do you think they knew?

Some people may not know, when it’s time for them to go,
therefore; we should ask JESUS CHIRST to come into our lives
and be prepared for that day

So, when death wants to knock on our door
We can open it up and say I’m ready, let’s go,
and see that place called Heaven’s Tour

letter to my unborn child

This is a letter to my unborn child . .
My Pride & joy, the love of my life, my reason to live.. we shall meet, & when we meet, there will be no wall, no river, no obstacle to come between us.. Your smile? One a man would kill for.. Your Voice? Music to my ears.. Your Presence ? My Blessing.. Youll never know what it feels like to be betrayed by your own father.. & even if you do grow up in a single-parent home you'll never want nor need for anything.. We'll talk & laugh like bestfriends, hangout like siblings, respect eachother like co-workers, & I know there'll be times when we disagree & argue like worst enemies.. but through the sunshine, as well as the rain, mom will be there though trials, tribulations, & pain.. You'll know me like the back of your hand, & i'll know you like the palm of mine.. you'll be book smart and street smart & if i can help it, you'll use the book smarts to better yourself in life,& the streets smarts to overcome the battles you encounter on your journey through life.. that "C Word" . . NOT Carpa Tunnel.. No, Not Cancer.. but "Can't" will NOT be in your vocabulary.. & "I Give Up" is an error in your mind.. I'll teach you everything I know plus some.. You'll be the kid on the block who falls in love with daddy.. therefore, your favorite words will be "I'm Gonna marry daddy when I'm old enough", only til you're disappointed with the reality that its impossible.. You'll hug mommy everytime she's in sight.. you'll be the change this world seeks.. a new spitting image of me(: , but until you arrive; baby boy, or baby girl.. i'm gonna keep this dream alive.. I'll live for you & for me.. cause when you step foot on this earth, this is how you should be.. to my pride & joy, the love of my life, & my reason to live<3

When a-someone or a-somethin’ came ‘n’ tickled my knees –

With her tail up in the air in a question mark tease,
‘Twas my little grey kitten mewin’ wide-green eyed pleas –

Beggin’ of her human, “Oh kind human, please
Won’t you let me share in yer crackers ‘n’ cheese?”

I looked into her tiny face ‘n’ made the choice with ease –
Doncha know that to my heart this kitten holds the keys?

I felt her purrs flow past me, a gentle, liltin’ breeze,
‘N’ now my kitten’s doin’ the munchin’ on my crackers ‘n’ cheese!

LIFE

Two hearts beat, now beating faster; beating until they're one
Two souls breathe, now breathing deeper; breathing until they're done
Two lovers see forever, and forever is where they run
One child comes home tomorrow for life has just begun

Even when the rainbow's glowing, the skies can seem so gray
Even when the wind's not blowing, the tides can turn your way
And when the water's raging, beneath skies that seem so blue
It's just your body aging, and it has nothing to do with you

So now when our God comes calling, I'll hold your hand and stroke your hair
Yes, as snowflakes start falling, I will look for you everywhere
And Mother, as you start flying, remember as you rise above
Marlene, you are not dying, but finding everlasting love

One child goes home tomorrow to embrace the Father and the Son
One child who knows no sorrow, for life has just begun

The Reality of a Dream

I have felt the bliss, of a daughter’s kiss,
and realize what heaven must seem.
For in all my life, thru happiness and strife,
my daughter’s laughter consumes my dreams.

I have sailed afar, and traveled the stars,
in search of a more beautiful feeling.
I’ve flown by air, for this beautiful love affair,
that sends my heart and soul a reeling.

I’ve rode the train, in search of a domain,
where love feels as brilliant as this.
I’ve swam the ocean, with perfect motion,
yet always amiss to finding this bliss.

I’ve treaded the bush, in Australia I push,
demanding they show me the path to glory,
but I leave empty handed, though I’ve demanded,
a beautiful ending to this tormenting story.

I’ve lived my life, searching for who I am,
and always do I come up short.
I fret and I ponder, for a love that is fonder,
than this love in my dreams I distort.

Still I fail, to no avail, to find a reality as grand,
than the laughter I hear, in this dream I command.
I ‘ve walked life’s path, in search of a resolution,
mindless to an ultimate desperate conclusion.
For a dream is an illusion, a visionary infusion,
a poignant resolution to all confusion – and a dream is just that….a dream.

My Family and Me

It's amazing how quick things can change.
First your running with the kings, and then you're knocked out of range.
It's strange. I used to worry and stress over friends.
Now I've grown to be a man. Maybe know a few of them.
All that time I could of studied. Did better in school.
Got a job and made it big. Maybe now I'd be cool.
Who's the fool? Now who's the bull? I know that's not me on the top.
Life is always making turns weather you like it or not.
The past will always be the past. My glory days may seem gone.
But, now its time to start a new.The stories keep coming on.
I've got a new girl. She means the world to me.
She keeps me warm at night, my best friend, my new dream.
Since my car accident, still got a limp on one side.
Still working with my memory, still need a friend who can drive.
I love to Karaoke. I get noticed in bars.
My mom's always there to catch me. Tom's working with my mom's cars.
My sister's in the Army, my niece is a big part of my life,
Friend Zach keeps assholes off me, and God is my wife.
AJ's always there to help, Brian is my LOST bud,
Mary's out of school, Lil cousin, Hunter's a stud.
Grandpa still is my idol, JT is still the music man .
The Adam's still can party. Chris, living good on the sand.
I may only use one hand, but I plan to be the best.
At all I do in life, cause there's not that much time left.
The blood test that I took says Landon is mine.
I hope this all works out fine in time and help to make my son's life shine.
JC who's down in Georiga, my heart is screaming for you.
I hope that you recover well. It can't be worse then what I went through.
Uncle Jimmy where you at? Where's Matt, Corie, and Pete?
I know you all are doing good. Serviolo's are a hard team to beat.
How's the rest of the family? I love and miss you all!
I hope you all are standing tall and I pray we never fall.
These last words that I say, I say only to you.
We've got the best family in the world and you know I LOVE YOU!

I Am So Very Thankful

I’m So Very Thankful… I’m so thankful for everything the Lord has made... Everything he’s created… His beauty is displayed! I’m so thankful for the breath I have to breathe… Until that one day, from this earth, I shall leave. I’m so thankful for the way God has made so evident. The principles of his word… Are so relevant! I’m so thankful for the beauty and glory he’s shown… It has brought blessings and healing to my home! I’m so thankful for the many things he’s done for me… He’s given me his love which flows abundantly! I’m so thankful that each day,.. Is another to live for him… He’s taken away my pain and has forgiven every sin. I’m so thankful that I can write these words from my heart. I know that he’s with me. And he’ll never depart! I’m so thankful that you’re reading what I’ve been saying… May this cause you to once again start praying! I pray that this same Jesus I know… Who’s merciful and kind… Will speak words of hope to you and give you a peace of mind. I pray that before you go to bed and this day has ended. You’ll allow Christ to have your heart “amended.” Thank you Lord! For what you’ve done and are going to do… It’s another way that I can say “I LOVE YOU!” Thank you Lord! For all that I‘ve received and so much more… You’ve made my life complete… And are worth living for!

Understood

You are a woman with pried and proven, no need to state it...it can be seen and proven!

You are a woman...vibrant and sassy filled with a radiant glow that can be seen from afar, no need to prove it!

You are a woman...a mother to many not just your own a multiply diverse persona, no need to prove it!

You are a woman…a wife a sister and a daughter as well, a sultry sophisticated woman, no need to prove it!

You are a woman…a cook a doctor and sometimes a lawyer for the guilty even if you she knew you did it, no need to prove it…its been known since the day I first layed my eyes upon you. I myself simply call you my wife and the mother of my children. Understood by me and never needed to be proven!

Why Should We Live?

Why should we live if we have
nothing to live for?
Why should we live if we have
nothing to die for?
Why should we live if
no one cares?
Why should we live if you're
loved by no one?
Why should we live if no
one likes you?
Why should we live if
no one loves you?

Each day is just a day
Each day is a day closer to death.
What's the point of living?
Some may say none,
Others may say why.
Why should we live?
Tell me and I will think about your answer.

Tainted love
or tired love?
Smug attitudes
and weak games
Look at you!
Your such a lame!
Me cry?! Ha! Not no more!
NOT EVER!
Five point five years
What a joke?!
All you do is lie
Keep smoking your life away!
Wake up before its too late!
Before this love turns into hate!
Your too old to act this way!
Your too comfortable
You cant stay!
In my life!
In my way!
Goodbye to you!!!

My Friend

	Mother, daughter, sister, friend,
She is all that and even then,
She is more than words can describe,
When I’m around her I get a good vibe.
	I love her even though,
She doesn’t like the words that flow,
Out of my mouth all day;
She always listens to what I have to say.
She is someone that I love,
Her spirit’s gentle like a dove,
About me she always cares,
She hugs me anywhere.
	Mother, daughter, sister, friend,
I hope our friendship will never end,
Of one thing I am quite sure,
I am really glad to have met her.
She turns my frown upside down,
By sometimes acting like a clown,
She makes me glad that I’m still here,
To me our friendship is quite dear.
I’m glad to have her as my friend,
Our friendship is strong like the wind,
And I end this poem at last to say,
I thank God for my friend every day.

A Kaleidoscope

A kaleidoscope, a mixture of colors and light
So hard to describe so hard to write
Just like a life just like mine
Here is mine my time to shine

The colors change just like time
A life goes on to hit its prime
No matter what it keeps on changing
Just like life keeps on arranging

My story begins at age six
When life was suddenly no easy fix
The Kaleidoscope began to turn
And its center began to churn

My father left our family home
He left alone to go and roam
Suddenly the Kaleidoscope went dark
Even now it’s left its mark

It remained unturned for about two years
And the movement became quite severe
My Mother moved away from home
To improve her new teaching career

The shades of blue came into play
As most of my family had passed away
My mother was strong and held my hand
Even though nothing had gone as planned

My family will always be in my heart
Those small blue beads will play their part
At that time I was almost nine
I pretended that I was just fine

The colors changed from blue to red
I went on with almost no dread
At age eleven I moved once more
I moved again to the California core

I spent the next year in shades of green
All the kids were just too mean
I went to Junior and then Senior High
Then it was time to say goodbye

The Kaleidoscope turned and made a painting
My life became very entertaining
That’s when I met you for the first time
My hope and happiness began to climb

But My Father turned my Kaleidoscope for me
And I asked and cried my pitiful plea
On the weekends the kaleidoscope turns black
With nothing there to change it back

There are ups and downs, lights and darks
With many blond moments and smart remarks
My life will always be turning fast
Even so I have time to look back at my past

If I remember one thing it is that
My life was nothing like combat
But I still fought wars of my own
Without them my world would still be unknown

There is nothing quite like a kaleidoscope
It’s a symbol of change and hope
I like to think my life is like this
So look back and reminisce

Look back at your thoughts and dreams
But remember nothing is as it seems
The Kaleidoscope will turn to show your past
What was boring and what was a blast

Mine shows everything you’ve done for me
You showed me how fun life can be
You made my life what it is now
To this day I still wonder how

Thank you for turning my Kaleidoscope
And giving me strength and the power to cope
You made my life a beautiful rainbow
You deserve more than you will ever know

Looking Back

Dedicated to my children who have kept my dreams alive.

LOOKING BACK We can’t go back To the days of yesteryear To capture those lost feelings With those whom we loved so dear I am just looking back to see Where all of my dreams first start You know those deep seeded dreams Buried way down deep in your heart I’m not trying to revive a lost love That I once had forty years ago Or even trying to replace the twenty years Of not seeing my grandchildren grow There were times of much struggle Filled with pain, fear and torture It was the love I had for my children That developed my strength to endure My children only remember the 2nd set Of twenty years that have come and gone When they were all moving out on their own And when all of the grandchildren came along It’s like I was locked in a rock Throughout those 20 to 40 years Not able to see my grandchildren Filled my heart with so many tears The bitterness you feel towards me Is understandable and really okay My children, you all have the right To your feelings and to feel that way I have finally made the escape Since that rock has split wide open I want you all to know who I really am I haven’t changed at all, only my situation The gift of feelings we have in our heart Whether right or wrong, just happen It matters not what others may think We should let out our own self expression No feelings are really ever wrong In another’s view or even our own Our thoughts trigger our feelings inside The feelings we have are ours alone Looking back strengthens my heart Reminding me I want to pass along To all of you, just who I really am Before my time on earth is gone One day I hope you will realize With you I have always been Filling you up with that extra love You may have noticed you’ve been given You have all filled up Such a big part Of all the dreams Living in my heart My best friend Grace, reminded me That our feelings are meant to be and to last God wouldn’t put the dreams in our heart If He didn’t plan to bring the dreams to pass My dreams haven’t changed I am not letting them go They are for new adventures With new beginnings of tomorrow Now that I’m looking back I’m so glad to have survived I know now, my love for all of you Has always kept my dreams alive Florence McMillian (Flo)

The Deadly Dart

Wherever I go through out my whole life,
I end up struggling with lots of strife.
Thinking that my life is a total waste,
Wanting it to be over in a haste.

I can feel the pain inside my own heart,
Like someone through at my a deadly dart.
The wound is easing deeper and deeper,
Will the pain ever stop getting bigger?

Feeling emo is never a good thing,
Cutting your arm makes a really bad sting.
Blood is dripping from my arms and my heart,
Failing to dodge the largest deadly dart.

Drowning in all the lies and self pity,
I live each day but always feel sh*tty.
I have lots of thoughts about suicide,
But then I think about those who have died.

Those who have died not just from suicide,
But also those who are really nice guys.
...
...
...
...This "poem" was actually suppose to be a couplet (on any thing you want) for my english
class but i made this kind bcuz i was feeling emo that day...and also after i was done i read it
over and it almost sound like a rap song which, i guess, is kinda funny and cool.........

Attributes of a Successful Woman

She possesses an inner beauty
that far surpasses her outward appearance.
She exudes strength and power
though you may see traces of her trials and pain.
She’s not caught up in gaining material possessions,
for she deems such pursuits as a hindrance.
Rather, knowledge and wisdom are the goals
that she envisions and seeks to obtain.

She endeavors to support others
whether with money or a word of encouragement.
She's very dependable and strives
to keep any promises that she makes.
She works hard and enjoys a challenge
for in these she finds true contentment.
She tends to be very forgiving
rather than dwell on others' mistakes.

She educates her children
instilling in them a love and respect for life.
She inspires many in her community
letting them know that they can make a difference.
She takes the time for meditation
so that she may ease her mind of stress and strife.
She has dreams of rebuilding this nation
for she knows this to be the purpose of her existence.

Who is she?

She is my mother who has raised twelve children.
She is my daughter had she lived past the age of one.
She is the poet who motivates her audience to listen.
She is the teacher who makes learning fun.
She is the college student who strives for excellence.
She is the single mother who raises her child alone, yet successfully.
She is all who I was, all who I am
and she is all I aspire to be.

Suicide Note

This is the reason....
 Dear mom,
We never got along..
And you know that...
We constantly argue and disagree..
You make me feel like im a disappointment..
You made me feel as if i was never good enough..
You never made it seemed it like you actually cared..
 Dear Dad,
I know who you wanted me to be..
we used to not get along..
But now we do..
most of the time..
I know this is not who you want me to be..
I know this is not what you wanted me to do..
But i got no where to go..
You never seem to help..
Dear the rest of the family
I know you are there for me..
But your reactions to what i do...
I just dont think i could deal..
I dont think you could help...
And i know you wouldnt understand..
 Dear Friends,
If i even dare call you that..
If you will care or not...
Even if you will notice...
I know some of you say your here for me..
But you dont understand..
I tried to tell one of you..
You just starred and wanted to tell everyone..
I am a human..
Im no different..
Im not some monster..
So i may be an outcast..
But does that really matter...
If only you could of helped me..
If only you didnt call me the names...
 Dear everyone,
Im sorry..
Im sorry for being a disappointment..
Im sorry for letting you down..
So that is why i have decided to leave..
So everyone will be happy..
Have a great life everyone..

Oscar

he felt the bile rising in his throat
but he was strong, he was ready
wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans,
he stood up and took one last look in the mirror before he presented himself to his parents
as he uttered the words with only a slight stammer
the shock only passed over their faces for just a moment
and then they told him exactly how they felt
There apparant love for him made him dizzy with relief
they approached him, arms open wide
and he shed the last of his fears onto their shoulders
and with one last shudder, he released all anxiety
they understood
and he is finally happy again

What's Done In Secret Will Come Out In the Open

What’s Done In Secret… Will Come Out In The Open! I’ve read God’s word, and it’s clearly spoken… What’s done in secret… Will come out in the open! I’ve been guilty of this, too many times! I never thought of it, to really be a “crime?” “Nobody’s watching” was the thought pondered… As my mind began to “explore and wander.” It didn’t take long for my life to go “off course.” By a powerful wind of temptation’s force! No matter how many times I took time to pray… This “secret” held on, and wouldn’t go away! I went to church on Sunday and prayed and cried. This “secret” remained, no matter how hard I tried! God told me, I was to give up what surrounded me! This was hard to do, but God was there to help me! Many things I thought I needed, to give me pleasure… Didn’t fulfill the love that God gave! An eternal treasure! As each day passes on… I want to humbly confess… I’m giving my life to God! He’ll take care of the rest! May the Lord Jesus stir a deep passion within… May it be my desire to be more like HIM! God is the God of yesterday, today and tomorrow! I’ve no secrets with him! No more shame or sorrow! Jesus is the Lord of lords! And the King of kings! He’s my lord and savior! My everything! By Jim Pemberton

Divorce Isn't Always the Best Choice

Divorce Isn’t Always A Good Choice! I met a person who’s been married for many years. When he talked to me, he was in tears! He was faced with the option of divorce! And now, he feels his life is driven “off course.” His wife said she’s through. She’s “all done.” And doing things which seemed “fun.” Beyond each day and the circumstance… Does this marriage even “have a chance?” Why do people seem happier when they’re apart? Far too often, this ends up in a broken heart! Too often, people “give up” on what they believe! But it’s so many lies, is what they receive! I spoke to this person, of God’s purpose and meaning! Into God’s loving arms, is where he needs to be leaning! When life changes, and marriage seems to have failed you… Jesus is here! And wants to put his arms around you! There’s hope and answers to all of your problems! You’ll find the answer in God’s word! HE can solve them! The best choice for you is to come and trust HIM! Give Jesus your life! Come now and love HIM! All he needs is for you to give him an invitation! He’ll change you! And make you a new creation! His love can do what no other power can ever do! He’ll bring new meaning in the words; “I LOVE YOU!” By Jim Pemberton

Happy Mother's Not

Thank you mother,
you birthed me,
you nursed me,
you fed and clothed me.

You loved me,
when seems, the word had loathed me.
I'd not want that love in vain.

However this is not your day.

Thank you mother,
for your support,
and your optimistic sheen,
it's inspiring
and always has shaped the person whom I am.

But this is not your day.

It belongs to the greeting card companies.

Who've robbed another holiday.

Robbed it of all meaning,
all substance and heart.
Robbed it of it's very soul.

Deformed it,
corrupted it,
chewed it up and spat it,
till it's obscure meanings long forgot;
faded into history, a mother's not.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Dedicated to my mother, whom I love.
Also dedicated to Julia Ward Howe who invented a holiday meant to end war and poverty. And to
celebrate all families. Who died before her dream could ever be realized.

And...to Anne Jarvis who forced through the holiday, hoping to continue Howe's work and end war
and poverty and create a better world for all, only to see that dream shattered as Greeting Card
companies and greedy conglomerates perverted it's ideals to nothing more then lip service
dedicated to selling cards and candy.

To celebrate some mother's publicly, while other's have their health care raised and their social
security stolen. While single mothers have to risk their health and their lives to barely feed their
children.

This holiday is an abomination. It doesn't celebrate motherhood, it degrades it. Women don't need
to be celebrated nearly as much as they need a good world in which they can better raise their
children. A world in which they can feed their children. This holiday is a Mother's Not and so is this
world.

An Auntie's Duties

Moms and Dads are important in a child’s life.
I love kids but they are not what I see for me at the moment.
I have the love of many children
Who all receive the love that my own would.
Hugs, Kisses, Care and Treats.
Their smiles keep me on my feet.
An auntie’s duties are never done.
From the headaches to the fun.
I wasn’t only blessed with the life of one.
More like the mighty group of five in my life.
From when they were born they are all I could see.
The love that they give is enough for me.
One girl and four boys is quite a challenge
But not for an auntie like me
Because I got the power.

You think he/her might be in love with you.

You think about a lot of things. Do you really know those things?

You think a lot, you worry a lot.

But do you really HAVE to think or worry about those things?
Or do you WAN'T to think or worry about those things?

Now that there is something to think about.

I Care for You

you'll never be alone
as long as i care for you
Hear my whispers in the dark
my voice is clear and true
when darkeness comes
reach out for me
i'll light the night with stars
so you could see
that you tried so hard
but it wasnt meant to be
you got so far
you almost made it to victory
in the end
it was full of pain
it doesnt even matter
because that pain didnt stay
whenever you fall
i'll always catch you
when you've think you lost
i'll be there to remind you
you'll never be alone
as long as i care for you

" WRITE A LINE OR TWO "

Did you ever stop and think
When you spent the day all alone
There was someone else too
That was just as lonely as you ?
So if you are feeling blue
Just sit down and write a line or two
For someone that loves you dear
Will be waiting from you to hear.

CRITERIA OF THE JEWISH CANON 11022011

In the several centuries
Before the coming of Christ
The Jews in Palestine re-examined
Eliminated some of the books

From existing collection
As not in harmony with the Law of Moses as
Of doubtful inspiration
The Pharisees set up four criteria

Which their sacred
Books had to pass
In order to be included
In the revised Jewish Canon

(1)	They had to be in harmony with the Pentateuch (Torah or Law)

(2)	They had to be written before the time of Ezra

(3)	They had to be written in Hebrew

(4)	They had to have been written in Palestine

Fourteen

Fourteen, that's all I am.
Wisedom not yet noticable though my age
But wise I am not
Stupidity comes once so often.
But harsh and unforgiving
Please save me from it.
My eyes, my heart endured so much.
From scarlet red hair of my demons
To the way they treated me
Brainwashed I was.
Best Friend
They would whisper
and fear they would not.
But torn down to my depths.
Reach my angel
Find my lost heart
and fix my eyes to see the heavens.
For Fourteen thats all I am.
But wise I am not.

Forever Somewhere

Watch me as I shoot across the midnight sky
Looking almost as beautiful as I am fast
I do my best to try not to die
But we both know that I cannot last

Flames and faith blazing as I go
Because I know that just up around the bend
Is forever somewhere that I do not know
Is forever somewhere near my sweetest friend
Is forever somewhere where I still love you so
and forever somewhere near my bitter end..

Faked

I stumble upon a river
the way it flows and feels
I take my shoes off and run threw it
laughing looking up towards the sun
I wake up and it was all just a dream
my sister runs up the stairs
she slams her door
i asked her what was wrong
she looked at me
She says "mom told me you were adopted"
at first i laughed as i thought it was a joke
I run downstairs to see my mom and dad sitting on the couch
"mom?" i say
she replies "its true we adopted you!"
she got up and walked into the kitchen
"after all this time i thought i was yours" i say
My father gets up and walks out the door
My mom lays her hand on her forhead
Just dont worry about it everything will be okay
"No it wont i say"
i felt fake like i wasnt who i was suppose to be
i just sat on my bed thinking about the whole thing
my whole life and who i should have been
I packed my bags that light and i ran away
leaving the less important things behind
i set out on a journey to find my real parents
I had my sister get there info. from my dads office
I took a bus to indiana and looked up there address
As soon as i found it i knocked on the door
A man opened the door
he said "who are you?"
i say "apparently i am your son?!"
"you put me up for adoption?" i repeat

He yells "ANNA!?, Some kid is here for you!"
i repeat the story to her as she denied it
She looked bruised and beaten up
I wanted to help her but the man hut the door on my face

I had no where to go now
So i started on a journey back home
But i never made it there
I found that old river i use to go too
i stayed there for a few weeks until
i remembered the way back.
I found myself that day
I realized that i was fake but now im not because i know that i am just me not any of them

BESIDES FAMILY

During the years that I had lived
many friends I have had;
some nice, some good, some bad...
ah! being friendless is very sad!

Beside family...who else
will remember what I've achieved,
perhaps a stranger reading
my works too lucid and intense?

I have honored many unnotorious folks like humble mother,
and the ones who have touched me in ways nobody has...
having been an innovator, not much of a shaker,
readers will uncover the true meaning of my writings.

Besides family...who will take time to read them twice?
Have I moved, inspired and changed them in several minutes?
That could be so true by the interest they have shown in the poems
I've written and my wish is that they have found that voice!

I seek no praises or laurels for my creations with words so intuitive,
and if an ode were dedicated to me....so very honored I wouldl be!
It's not being naive...not to have realized it and be crowned with victory;

she wonders

She wonders what you’re doing
and how you're living life
what new things did you learn today
and how did you sleep last night
did you feel raindrops on your face
or sunshine in your eye
of all the questions left uknown
the biggest one she has is why
why can’t you be together
why can’t she watch you grow
why can’t she guide you through this world
this she just does not know
but she promises you’ll be together
no matter how long it seems
just know your always in her heart
and always in her dreams

Poem is dedicated to a dear friend of mine
P.G Always remember sweetie true love is never lost, you will meet again someday.

An Adulterous Situation

An Adulterous Situation I knew of a couple, involved in an adulterous situation. A person involved, claimed that he was a Christian! He told others that he wanted to tell her about the Lord… But this involvement in sin, he couldn’t well “afford!” A “casual” encounter led to the marriage’s destruction. Her husband was so hurt, he could hardly “function.” How could this man think there’s “nothing wrong with it.” “It must be fine.” He thought. “everyone’s doing it!” Jesus has come, that we might have freedom from within! Going to church, doesn’t give us a “license to sin!” God gave us marriage, as a holy and divine covenant! He gave us his word, so that our lives can be abundant! May this be a stern warning to one and all! That which may look attractive, will cause us to fall! If there’s something more from marriage that you desire… Be careful! Your deep passions will burn like a fire! May I encourage you to pray and seek the Lord above! And ask him to build your marriage on his love! Only he can restore everything the enemy has taken! He’ll be with you, when you may feel totally forsaken! Adultery is like a cancer cell… That will eventually destroy! It’ll rob you of the many blessings, that God wants you to enjoy! What God has joined as one... May there be no separation! But a heart of unselfishness, and a renewed dedication! By Jim Pemberton

trains

Here I am
with all my bags scattered at your feet.

The train roars away, miles away.
With smoke piling out of it and no trace of me.

Had a nightmare last night
that I left you behind
hit me with such force that I
jerked awake and cried.

There was darkness looming ahead
but I just kept
doing what I was doing and
then it all caved in.
The thunder roared
and the lightning cracked,
death surrounded me
I was found with shaky knees
somewhere on Toledo streets
all I could think of was Home.

So I jumped in someone's car,
in someone's arms
and fled.
Cuz it was new and different.
I said Home,
Take me Home.
I called and called to say
I was on my way.
No one answered. No one was there.
But new people.
A Father who looked like my Father but a Mother who looked strange.
And I know wicked step mothers are only in movies. Only in movies.
That storm had taken everything I knew.
That nasty selfish storm.

You heard I was on my way
to go way
cuz I was in shock, it all came back
to me.
Have to start my life over.
Brick by brick.
Block by block.
The strongest material
so we can always stay together.
You did not push it.
You did not beg.
With the calmest, gentlest voice you said:
You were the most beautiful baby
I'd ever seen.
Born on a Tuesday
I remember that day.
Six pounds nine ounces
however many inches long
and smiling away...

Can't believe I almost left you behind..
Like some puppy I can't take on a trip
that I can just toss aside
somewhere on a country road left wondering what you did wrong.
You are people.
You are my people,
some of the best God made. So I dropped my plans ran and took a flying leap into your arms.

That darkness is still here
but it isn't everywhere.
Its starting to fall behind
will you dance with me on the other side?
And say we beat this
we beat this thing.

I cried oceans for twelve whole months
and I will continue to off an on
until my Home is back...

But now I'm here ready to gve give give
til I can barely walk walk walk
cuz I'm so worn out.
That's what I want.

Here I am take me back.

Trains will always be there.
Trains will come and trains will go..

Kurt

i am kurt daniel everdean
I am 21 years old
I've been playing the bass guitar
Since I was 11
i weight 145 pounds
i have blondish brown hair
and blue eyes

If I could say one thing about me that I like... Its that I never gave up.

things started when i lost my father
i was 10 years old
my mother started going to her room everytime she got home
she would come out with her eyes all red... Shes been crying
until i accidently walked in on her doing drugs
i now believe it was the drugs that caused the redness
me and my brother would fight everynight
when i bought my first bass
he slammed it against the floor
and told me since i think my lifes crap
then i shouldnt have anything that makes me happy
My mom became a street whore
She would dress in a golden gown and wear ugly make up
We would never see her
unless she needed money to get condoms for her "men"

the things between me and my brother got worse
I was arguing with him over a text he sent my mom
And he got into an accident and died that night

Things just never got better
I created a band called the nocturnal
And the reason you haven't heard of us yet
Is because were an underground punk band in Seattle
we haven't gotten far yet
Just underground party's and bars

My mom ended up running away with her "boyfriend"
After my brother died she blamed me
And told me to leave and said she won't come around me
Until I brought him back

Since then I've gotten a job and was able to pay rent on
My moms old apartment
Hoping shed come back clean and sober
As for me
I've cleaned up. but suicide is still an option

I haven't found god yet and I don't want to
If there was a god why did he give me this ****ed up life
Ya you'll say Kurt?... You made the desicions for your life
I knolw I did. But he was the one who let it actually happen

I've been writing since I was 11
Lyrics and poems
Drawings and paintings
bass guitar and vocals

My life isn't over
But it's sure close to it

Its sad to think that what you thought was fake... Is a true story

Many Families Are In Difficult Situations

I’ve seen many families in difficult situations!
Often ending up in lies and false accusations!

I’ve seen many families stray way off course…
And tragically, often, end up in a divorce!

I’ve seen the hardships that many families endure.
Their faith has often been shaken.
 That’s for sure!

I’ve seen many families trying to give 100 percent.
And then wondering where all of their time went!

I’ve seen all these things happening
 and much more!
I have wondered; “what is all of this happening for?”

I’ve just one thing to say in this “chaotic confusion.”
Only the blood of Jesus gives
 any hope or solution!

It’s only in his word, we’ll find a godly direction!
His Holy Spirit can give true and loving correction!

May we seek his spirit to bind us all together!
And pray for his blood for our protection forever!

Please come Lord Jesus, and refresh our soul!
We need you right now, to make us whole!

Please touch our heart, and make us all one!
And heal every father, mother, daughter and son!

Please help us to watch what we’ll do and say!
You can turn our darkest night
 into the brightest day!

For My Husband

I love you for being my husband.
I thank you for all your love.
I thank you for being there,
A special person sent from above.
I thank God for sending you to me,
For giving me a life with you.
And our children he entrusted me.
Your acceptance, guidance and care,
Given so unconditionally.
Together with my love and certainty,
Give us so much to share.
I feel a special bond not there before.
It gets stronger every day.
Making within me such awesome happiness,
My heart longs to soar.
I know that I am not always perfectly undoubting.
We both have our failures and imperfections.
I think, however, our short comings and trials
 Build between us stronger connections.
I believe that God has brought us together,
Because each has a lot to offer the other.
You, as the father and husband,
And me, as the wife and mother.

                                                                    Summer Gratias

Why Did I Give In To Temptation

Giving In To Temptation...

I remember of a particular situation.
I was offered a very "inviting" temptation.

The situation I was in... I didn't belong!
And lost any sense of
"right and wrong."

At first... I felt no guilt or shame.
And brought embarrassmen
 to my family's name.

I tried to explain this to
 my wife and kids.
I heard; "Dad... please...
  no more fibs!"

The Godly principles were
"tossed to the side,"
As the sin inside caused
arrogance and pride.

Soon, all in my life that truly mattered.
Was all gone... and my life
was empty and shattered!

I was sorry for all of the
problems I had caused/
This time... I took a moment to pause/

I cried to God to rescue me from my sin.
And confessed. Would God help me once again?

I read in the Bible of our
 saviour's grace and love/
This time the help I needed had
to come from above/

I asked him for a fresh and brand new start.
He removed the stain from a broken heart.

He restored to me the joy I once had.
I'm so thankful... Jesus has made me glad!

YOU--Jesus--are the reason I'm here today!
I LOVE YOU! More than words can say!

Mother

         my friend's mother
in silent she walk her way through life,
making sure everything is still all right,
she's been cooking,
cleaning for all of them,
queenly as she only knew.
Now, an old little lady, as she is,
some things she can't do,
fixing things that with time goes wrong,
or mow the grass,
paint the fence,
So many things are out of her control,
but one, she still keep the tittle to,
calling my friend as he was a kid,
sweaty, honey,dear,
not realizing he is grown man.
Time does pass for all of us,
but for loving mother
time is standing still,
cause,
love for her son is always the same,
as for those little hands still
want to fix dinner, iron the shirt.
So why those little words let to be on the way?
My drear friend let your mom call you
honey and sweaty and dear,
one day she will stop.
She will be gone,
and
No other woman will ever,
call you so sweet and soft,
like your mother does.

It's Hard To See The One You Love Go Through Pain

It's Hard To See Someone Go Through' Pain... "It's hard to see someone I love go through so much pain." Were the words I heard that night I called on Jesus' name. "This person whom I love, has gone through so much." "How I wish to bring my peace and healing touch." I cried and wept, as I heard the master's voice. His gift of love is for all of us... It's our choice! His body was broken... A sacrifice was made. His life for our sorrow and pain, is what he gave. His grace is more than sufficient for the pain we endure. His love and commitment to you, is true and secure. He loves you so much. He waits at your heart's door. He gives peace and comfort. And so much more! The pain and suffering you're going through today. Please listen to the words Christ has to say. "I am El-Shadaii." "Jehovah-Jireh." "Your very best friend." "My love and devotion to you will never, never end." By Jim Pemberton

I Hate

I hate the birth mark under my right eye
I hate my extremely static hair
I hate my big bottom lip
I hate my spotty nose

I hate that I have really *****y times
I hate that people only remember me for my really *****y times
I hate that the real *****es hate me
I hate being cautious so they don’t ***** about me

I hate that I cry over everything
I hate that people know I cry over everything
I hate that I hide from them anyway
I hate that they actually don’t care

I hate the fact that my brother is leaving home next year
I hate the fact that I cried when he told me that
I hate the fact that I hid my tears from him
I hate the fact that he’s all I really have left

I hate my father for making me feel like he doesn’t care about me
I hate my mother for making me feel like she picked him over me
I hate that my brother had to look after me when they couldn’t be bothered
I hate that, in my eyes, they don’t deserve to be called mum and dad

I hate that when I was younger I had to run away from my father
I hate that my mother and brother left me by myself that day
I hate that they left me closer to my father
I hate that they went somewhere I would have felt safer

I hate that I feel like my friends are slowly fading away from me
I hate that I feel like I’m a third wheel
I hate that I feel like my friend’s don’t trust me
I hate that I feel like I can’t trust my friends

I hate the feeling of loneliness
I hate that I read books to escape to a world better than mine
I hate that I write to create a better life than my own
I hate that people want to invade that one heaven I invented

I hate that people ask me why I made Katy Clover Taylor
I hate that I had to make a role model for myself
I hate that she is the person I desperately want to be
I hate that she is the one thing I will never live up to

I hate that I feel like my grades would grasp my families attention
I hate that feeling of disappointment when I get a bad grade
I hate feeling like I have to live up to an expectation to hold their attention
I hate that I am relied on because of my grades

I hate that I am an older mind trapped in a younger body
I hate that I am limited in what I can do because of my age
I hate not being trusted upon
I hate people treating me as a kid

I hate not telling people how I feel
I hate hiding behind an invisible barrier
I hate not being able to share how I feel with people
I hate being scared that they won’t care.

I hate people judging me
I hate judging people
I hate that feeling of giving up
I hate the feeling of losing when I didn’t give up

I hate the choices I have made
I hate that nobody thinks I can live up to my dream
I hate people thinking they are so much better than me
I hate the fact that they are right

I hate that I will never make a good girlfriend
I hate the fact I know nobody would fall for me
I hate knowing that no one would help me pick up my life
I hate that it has fallen apart

I hate hurting the people I love
I hate them not loving me anymore
I hate knowing that what I would do would hurt people
I hate the fact I do it anyway

I hate knowing that I do all of this
I hate knowing I hate all of this
I hate trying to change it
I hate that I am not able to change it

I hate that I try not to give up hope
I hate knowing all hope is lost
I hate that I still try and cling to it anyway
I hate knowing I failed at that too

But most of all

I hate not being able to express this until now
I hate that this still won’t change a thing
I hate thinking that it still might
I hate knowing that no one cares

Anemones and shells my childhood

As I recall my past, it was a sea kissed life
summers spent roaming the Rabbit Burrows
cradled by dunes, beyond Tramore strand
towels stretched out on Woodstown beach
soft powdered sand, surrounded by forest
adventures in the Saleens, daring quicksand
of swimming with dad, high jumping waves
falling, laughing in great gulps of salt water
free and fearless, in our bare bronzed years

It was a sea salted life of wave-washed castles
of tide pools, alive with translucent shrimps
carmine anemones sucked tight to the rocks
periwinkles, hermit crabs, a world of shells
baby pink crabs moving sideways over stone
textured algae, salted, crisping in the heat
our faces stinging with sand and hot sunshine
we spent hours with nets, exploring the pools

After months and years of living near the sea
the landscape became an essential part of me.
I saw fuchsia ballerinas pirouette the breeze
sea pinks, grassy rosettes swaying on cliff tops
rocket, tiny lilac petals with succulent leaves
valerian, a candy floss pink, sweetly scented
We picked them and pressed them into books

I recall my child’s life with a skipping heart
when summers seemed to shine eternal
The rock pools taught us to treasure nature
togetherness bred a strong sense of self
a respect for the sea, the taste of freedom
when I open a book, I often find a flower
and shells - this child is forever combing

Christmas Tree Tradition

Coming together for decorating
Having fun with everyone
Rising together to put on the lights
I sure love the simple ones
Star goes on last
That is my brother's job
Making sure the star is safe
Atop the beautiful tree
Smells of fir trees fill the air

The home-made ornaments go on first
Rearranging to fit
Everything on, is an interesting task
Everyone stops, steps back, and looks at our beautiful Christmas tree

My Mom

My mom is always there
To fill my every want and need.
I couldn't ask for a better mom,
To help me secced.
She doesn't like to see me
Hurt,
'Cause it makes her really sad.
She's very protective,
But I guess it comes with
Being a mom.
My mom has a motherly touch,
That puts me to sleep every
Night and day.
My mom isn't the "old fashion"
Mother,
'Cause she's really upbeat.
I have fun with her all
The time.
'Cause she's the best mother ever.
She says I'm a sprouting
Image of her and I know
I am. But that's a
Good thing, since I want to
Be just like her.

BREAK THIS SILENCE...

Open your mouth
and break this silence.
When was he given a licence?
This is your body,
You don’t always have to be sorry!
His hand on your jaw
Makes your face purple and sore
Is marriage, a war?
Is this why you have come so far?
No money, just drinks, and bars!
Tacky wowmen and fancy cars.
he will learn
when the tables have turned
To hold you tight
Instead of fighting, and arguing
all through the night.
You have to be brave,
You are not his slave
Feel proud to say
I made my move, i did not stay!

Tater Sack Annie

On a raft in the river tied to a tree, lived in an old woman of whom most folks made fun. She didn't talk much, most thought she was dumb. Kids being curious, and the summer being hot, the cool of the river drew our disobedient lot. We kids soon discovered the crude raft and the tent. We oddly made friends with its strange occupant. Tried as we might to find out her name. All we got was a smile from the toothless old dame. One thing for certain we kids soon found out. Social graces she lacked, but her kindness made up for that fact. Times being tough and money being tight, often we kids confided our plight. She didn't care if we were dirty or poor. She loved her little friends all the more. We didn't mind her fashion was lack. She wore a dress made from and old "tater sack." What troubled us was she didn't have a name. We didn't care from where she came. One day as we sat on the bank, a thought came to mind. We were disgusted with folks being unkind. "Everybody's got a name," said one. "Let's call her 'Tater Sack Annie'", said another, so it was done. Annie smiled at us. She liked her new name. She didn't say much, just smiled again. She motioned for us kids to her camp for lunch. She always fed our whole bunch. Fried taters, catfish and greens. All of us believed she was a woman of means. Several summers went by. One year the fall came. A saturday night, folks out for a lark. Didn't see Annie walking home in the dark. Somebody sent, and a somber Sherriff came, "Anybody her know her name?" He spoke to the group. Two boys stepped forward, both knelt to a stoop. "That's our 'Tater Sack Annie'", they spoke in a low tone. Both their faces ashen and as white as bone. Today in a churchyard no monument gleams. Only a simple stone reads, "Annie a lady of means."

I've Heard Of A lot Of People

I’ve Heard Of A lot Of People…

I’ve heard of a lot of people who claim to serve God above.
I heard that many of them proclaim a message of his love!

I’ve heard of a lot of people who claim to know him too…
Would one of these people be someone like YOU?

I’ve heard of a lot of people who’ve made it known.
They are making plans to soon
 be in their heavenly home!

I’ve heard of a lot of people who are joyful. You can tell!
They’re in love with Jesus. And are doing quite well!

I’ve heard of a lot of people who’ve
made a wise choice!
They read the word of God and seek their savior’s voice!

I know of a lot of people who have
made a firm decision…
They’ve given to God their hearts
and undivided attention!

I know of a lot of people who were stumbling along the way.
Until they met the master… Who changed their life one day!

I know of a lot of people that will soon be all together…
When the Lord comes back soon and
takes them with him forever!

I know of a lot of people and I hope you’re one of them…
Who have accepted Christ.
And are now born again!

I know there’s lot of angels in heaven
waiting for you and me!
Won’t you join with these people to spend your eternity???

Grandma's Becoming A Republican

Grandma’s Becoming A Republican!

There was something that I was able to hear…
Grandma is going to be a Republican this year!

I remember her talking of the great depression.
Many years that created a lot of tension!

I remember her talking of days gone past.
Wondering how much longer
 our country would last.

I remember her talking of doing many things.
And has experienced
what life daily brings!

Because of how things have
 been so dramatic.
She decided long ago to be democratic!

Beyond all of the politics and chatter…
She loves God! And that’s what matters!

We love her dearly! And it’s been decided…
Everything she needs…
God has provided!

We congratulate you grandma with your choice!
We say “we love you!”
With one heart and voice!

Our prayers are with the choice grandma’s givin!!
May God bless her! Each day she’s livin’!

The Look On My Child's Face

The Look On My Child’s Face… Just yesterday I noticed a look of love on my child’s face. This happened in a most “ordinary place.” It was in our home...a place by God’s own design. I felt God speaking to my heart this particular time. I didn’t take any time to stop and realize, The look of love and innocence in my child’s eyes. “Am I being the kind of Dad God wants me to be?” “Am I being an example of Christ for my child to see?” Have I been demonstrating my God-given ability, teaching my kids God’s love, and responsibility? May a Christ-like life in my kids be clearly seen and understood, As one day they will grow into adulthood. I hope that one day my Children will say: “I want to be like my Dad- every single day!” By Jim Pemberton

left presence I can’t see
but I can feel you here
still watching over me
your a whisper I can’t here
and a touch that I can’t feel
I’m talking to you now
I love you and always will

God's Definition of Marriage

God designed marriage as the real thing!
Anything less, is what a counterfeit brings!

His concept of one man and woman is very real.
He’s not interested in bowing to “man’s appeal.”

His court of justice rings very loud and clear!
The truth of his word shall NEVER disappear!

You can look in Genesis and it is found!
He created Adam from the dust of the ground!

He designed Eve from one of his ribs!
They were joined together as both lived!

He didn’t need a constitution to know “their rights.”
He gave them HIS WORD as their guiding light!

Satan has been trying to pervert what God created!
This is a truth. And need not be debated!

We have cheapened the value of the marriage institution!
And have added needless
chaos and confusion!

Through the Bible, one husband and wife are taught!
Unless you want to live in Sodom, as did Lot!

Ungodly perversions take many forms and kinds.
And it soon piles up garbage into our minds!

“What God has put together.”
 “Let no man put asunder.!”
Many ideas of “marriage,” is a total blunder!

One man and one woman is what God ordained in Eden.
It was Adam and Eve.
Not Adam and Steven!

The choices in life are yours! And yours alone!
Who is going to be the Lord, of your heart and home?

My Other Mother

Nothing like Gayle’s homemade chili wafting throughout her home
To make even the hardest heart feel comforted and less alone

I met an earth angel when I was a merely sixteen and a half
Her spirit was as inviting and as contagious as her laugh

The very first moment we met I felt I had known her forever
Perhaps in another life I was her daughter and her my mother

Tears rush to my eyes and my heart leaps as I write and weep
As it speaks volumes of how my connection to her is so deep

Immediately drawn to her beauty which resonates warmth and compassion
I longed to be just like her, with the same values, integrity and passion

Older than I, yet youthful and beaming with such strong intense light
Gayle is unusually gorgeous, significantly intelligent and bright

Twenty six years later I receive a call and she is there for me like before
Not just to share my grief for the loss of my father but much more

A white flower bouquet, a ‘Care of the Soul,’ book, a card depicting a work of art
Filled with her original loving words and a talk that healed my heart

Still to this day she is my idol, my guru, my mentor, my ‘other,’ mother
Her abilities are immense her talents are many and her spirit like no other

With the originality of Martha Stewart she wraps gifts and decorates her house
Cooks a feast like Emeril, writes like Thomas Moore and sings like Alison Krauss

A phenomenal writer, and college professor, there is nothing she can’t teach
She resides in harmony with nature in a chateau overlooking the beach

In my next time around when I have self actualized enough to deserve less strife
I hope to be her, with all her wisdom and spiritual depth, and have her exact life

I'm So Thankful For Everything

I’m So Thankful… I’m so thankful for everything the Lord has made... By Jim Pemberton

Happy Holidays Or Merry Christmas

What if Christmas wasn't here? What if Christmas disappeared? Whenever December came... It just wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? The true meaning of Christmas would be in danger! If this happened... There would be no nativity. We wouldn’t have Christ' peace and tranquility! It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! Many say; “Happy Holiday.” For fear they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. Once again! We need to put Jesus Christ back into our CHRISTmas season! He is what Christmas is about! HE is the very reason! May we all take some time to rejoice in our savior’s birth. May there be shouts of JOY! From the corners of the earth! Let’s not take Christ out of our joyous celebration! We need him so much right now! All over this great nation! May we bring to him a heart of love for everything he’s done. As we bring honor to Christ. God’s precious son! May we continually offer to him a heart filled with praise! Not only at Christmas time… But all of our days! By Jim Pemberton

My Son

These words I write with tear filled eyes,
As a new dawn comes to light.
Another day without you Son,
Nor' a star filled winters night.

Your Mother sends her love dear boy,
As our hearts are torn in two.
A Major came to see us Son,
He brought us news of you.

He told us of your courage,
Of the fight that lay ahead.
The soldier that we knew you were,
Then he told us, " you were dead".

You left for a tour of duty,
With the army in your heart.
We are proud to have had you in our lives,
We won't always be apart.

You fought for Queen and country,
Now your duty sure is done.
A man, a friend, a soldier,
And my ever loving Son.....

Marriage Is Under Attack Like Never Before

Marriage Is Under Attack Like Never Before! Marriage is under attack… And it’s because… So many people have trampled “God’s set of laws…” What once was ordained as “God’s order of unity…” Has often resulted in so much “infidelity…” The God given covenant between a woman and a man… Is so distorted… How can one truly understand? All the way from Genesis to Revelation… God made it clear from the time of creation… It was Adam and Eve from the very start… As Eve was formed from a rib… Close to Adam’s heart. They were joined together by their God above… Being a symbol of his creation and never-ending love This same God is the redeemer of your very soul… It’s only in him that you can be complete and whole! You are invited to join the marriage supper of the lamb… Christ is the bridegroom and is waiting for your hand! Won’t you accept God’s proposal he offers to you? He’s given the invitation… What will you do? He’s coming for a bride who’s sins are washed away! Won’t you accept his proposal of love… Today? He remains faithful… And forever true! And has already said the words; “I DO!” By Jim Pemberton

When All

When all is said and done
At the end of the day
Week, month and year
At the end
When the finish is near
Nay, at hand
One thing will hold true
When the last grain of sand
Has left the hour
And the seconds have ticked away
When the last word
Has been spoken
And there’s nothing left to say
One thing will hold true
Through whatever time
Life has left
Till heaven and earth pass away
And eternity rules
Bringing life a brand new day
One thing will hold true
It doesn’t matter where roads lead
Nor how paths may cross
Doesn’t matter if directions are found
Or ways are lost
Doesn’t matter if freedom comes
Or at what cost
One thing will hold true
For when all have fled
And there’s no more to be bled
All battles have been fought
All conquests sought
When all that’s left to do
Is look around to see
Who’s left standing with you
One thing will hold true
Standing there
I will be

God Is Our Refuge And Strength

God Is Our Refuge And Strength... God is our refuge and strength, in a time of trouble. He's there to pick me up... when I fall and stumble. I will not fear, though the whole earth be shaken. And the mountains be thrown into the ocean's deep basin. Though the waters roar, and the trees shake with fear; I am never alone.... for God is always near.. There is a river, whose streams bring forth gladness. God is in it's midst and brings true happiness. Let the heathen rage... and the whole earth melt too. The Lord of hosts is with us, and shall protect YOU! Behold his works... and see what he has made. He has caused wars to cease... & destroyed weapons displayed. Be still... He is God and is exalted to glory up on high. He is our protector. He is El-Shadaii! The Lord of hosts is with us... all of heaven does proclam. The awesome power and glory there is... in HIS majestic name! By Jim Pemberton Psalm Ch. 46

Just Being You

You are a lady of stature, a lady of peace
You are a lady who is compassionate and quite unique

Unique in your ways, thoughts, and expressions
A mentor to all, in helping others understand life’s lessons

I wanted to give you a gift, but what can I say
You are a lady who wants for nothing, you are blessed in many ways

So I’ve decided to give you something no one else can
A poem from my heart to make you understand

Your impact on my life, I will never forget
Your thoughtfulness and blessing to me I appreciate and accept with respect

I will never take for granted the kindness you have shown to me
You are a genuinely caring woman, and I know for a fact many others agree

Your smile brightens up a room; your laughter is pleasant to hear
The funny stories you share with me make it very clear

You are a lady of knowledge, wit, humor, and class
Splendid in personality, even on your most trying day you still find reasons to laugh

In close, I give thanks to God too
Because in your love for him you are a phenomenal woman while “Just Being You”

DECASTICH-THE WISEST ONE

Seeing others doing harmful things,
excessively drinking and using hard drugs,
I say this road is the wisest one
a very prudent individual could ever take,
hoping that nobody will lay flowers
on that spot, where a horrible crash may occur.
Perhaps I've been too cautious...
when it comes to save what I hold most precious,
not afflicting useless pain on my body;
only praying to God to safeguard me.

This afternoon, I visited my niece Crystal in Elmurst Hospital,
as she and her four friends were involved in a bad accident;
the driver, who had a legal alchool level in her blood, crashed
into a light pole last Sunday morning; were they all drinking?
That's a mere speculation, but this kind of behavior is common
among teenagers; Asia, the driver of the car, is into a coma slowing improving.
Crystal has a broken leg and fractured pelvis, begging nurses for help;
and she is in acute pain and can hardly breath. Elisabeth is on a respirator...
due to a blood clot traveling to her lungs; the other two girls have minor injuries.

What does it take for irresponsible drivers not to be under the influence....
avoiding the mourning of a dear one, or even losing their own life?
Not many folks will heed this message...until they face death,
and nothing can be done to prevent them from diying.
Trongs of visitors crowd the hall, to inquire about their condition;
they hear their agony and are unable to help...ah, if they ever could!
So will you take that path which is the wisest one to avoid a possible tragedy,
or continue defying fate until its awfully late to enjoy a full life?
Their parents are as helpeless as I, but our faith makes hope grow...
that these kids will finally understand that a second chance is not given to all.

This horrible accident happened in Woodhaven, Queens, NY on August 15, 2010.

Are We Being Driven to God's Elimination

Are We Being Driven to God’s Elimination? In the names of diversity and anti-discrimination. It’s like we’re being driven to God’s elimination! God is being “forced” from many institutions! All in the name of this country’s constitution! We’re told that God and this country must be “separated.” Anything less is what many would call; “discriminated.” Any forms of Godly virtues or values are “torn down.” Any symbol of a cross, is often “removed from the town.” It’s no wonder that this country’s in such a big mess! And yet this country wants to be strong and blessed? “What shall the righteous do if the foundations are destroyed?” Meanwhile, the tide of ungodliness, is often “enjoyed.” Those who are trying to remove God! You must beware! His judgment is soon coming! And will catch you unaware! There’s will come a day! When God’s wrath you will endure! The wages of sin is death! This is very true and sure! People may think that removing God is the “thing to do.” Anyone who attempts to do will wind up as “a fool.” Only God can fill the void in life and true love within! Only he has the power to free your soul from sin! The words; “in God we trust,” in our lives must be applied! Everything we’ll ever need… God has supplied! God is this country’s hope! It’s only true foundation! We need HIM right now! To come and heal our nation! By Jim Pemberton

I Remember Back When

I remember at the young age of 9 or 10.
Going to the theater was
considered a sin.
There were many things
that as a young boy.
That I wanted to explore and enjoy.

My parents may have been "old fashioned."
They were filled with a Godly
love and compassion.
I look back now and with some hesitation.

And think about this
"new generation."
I wonder "where have all of the morals gone to?"
Some parents are doing things, as a kid, I'd never do.
Many of the "Godly" parents don't seemed concerned.
What's right or wrong—they can't discern.

What once was a dividing line
between black and white.
Is now; "if it feels good—it must be allright."
The savior's call for holiness in your life must dwell.
Living by his word will save your family from hell.

Maybe living for Jesus is by some,
"a narrow way of living."
May your life be one of sacrifice,
holiness and thanksgiving.
May your commitment be true, your heart sincere.
For one day very soon, Jesus shall appear.
Now's the time to be an example
of Jesus' precious name.
When he comes —will you be ready—
or be ashamed?

As You Leave

Every time you leave, a piece of me goes with,
it attaches itself to you securely,
assigning its mission forthwith.

When you travel down that lonesome road,
down a monotonous path of isolation –
just reach inside your pocket,
and there I’ll be there without hesitation.

As your days go by, without me by your side,
just open up your jacket,
you’ll find my heart beating inside.

When you lie awake in bed,
crying at the severed loss,
just wrap your covers even tighter,
and my love shall span across.

When you feel down,
and alone without a friend,
that piece of me shall comfort,
your heartache I will mend.

As the distant absence grows longer,
that piece of me grows stronger,
leading you back to this absent heart,
the one who was with you from the start.

Daughter to Mother

Knick-knack paddywack
Give the dog a bone
Grown up quick
But you didn't go wrong

Criss-cross twist toss
Over and under
Wonderful memories
Are always of blunder

Clip-clap snap back
Shakin my head
Fed up people
End up red

Stop-skip jump trip
Lick up the wound
Noon is the time
To just sit in your room

Flair-fall stumble stall
Live to love your life
Strife and grief
Make it all the more bright

Give-got taken shot
The higher you climb
I'm still with you
So smile all the time

I'm the daughter I'll have you know!

In Honor of Teeds

Multicolored tears
For one gone too soon
And one who’s denied her hand to hold
Halfway through his journey towards manhood

“Life’s not fair.”
She told him so
Mothers do
When teachers play favorites
Or party invitations never come
Or Christmas budgets aren’t big enough for
Wish lists.

But this.

It’s too big
Even for Mother.

So we weep
And we pray
And in our naked helplessness we come
Together
Giving of ourselves and receiving from others
With a rare and sacred gentleness
We share
And honor the ineffably beautiful spirit
Who breathes love and life in us and through us and among us
Every day

Today that spirit was purring.

Can God Find You Faithful

Can God Find You Faithful?

I once knew a man had made
up his mind.
He left his wife and children behind!

He met someone who “captured his heart.”
This was a deception
from the very start!

His wife gave God and their kids
her love and attention...
But her husband went
Into another direction!

  They went to church...
 And did their "Sunday best."
How could this
 turn into such a mess?

Temptation can happen to anyone!.
Whether rich or poor.
Be careful what you allow to
 enter your heart's door.

Regardless of whether you've been
married for a lot of years..."
One shameful act can bring
 heartache and tears!

The love that’s been given...
  Let no one take away!
No matter what others think...
 Or what they might say.

Stay true to God! You'll be
glad you did!
His love and joy will bless you
 each day you live!

Jesus will never forsake you!
Or leave you alone!
Allow HIM to bring peace and
 restore your home!

GRATITUDE

The word " Gratitude "
is better expressed...
when said with thankfulness
and much more tenderness!

Ever grateful to God and mother
to have seen and tasted life:
through serene days without worry and strife,
even through stormy days with little sun's glare!

See their images in me,
one holy...the other kind;
search inside these eyes of harmony:
more hidden treasures you will find!

Feeling no gratitude is absurd,
it pulls you away from the Rock...
the One who shed all of His blood;
live by faith, not by ridiculous luck.

Without God We're Empty Within

Without God… We’re Empty Within! Without God… Our life is filled with emptiness within. And is quickly absorbed into the quicksand of sin! Without God… We are like sheep that have gone astray. Being confused... And going the wrong way! Without God… We have no moral compass or guide. And soon become arrogant and filled with pride! Without God… We are like a ship that’s lost at sea. Not knowing who we are or where we’re going to be! Without God… We have no true hope or security. Everything becomes meaningless and utter vanity! Without God… We have a life built on a “shaky” foundation. It’s only through HIM… We can become a new creation! With God… All things are possible to those who believe! An abundant life with Christ… You can achieve! With God… Your life can be cleansed and made whole! Only he can bring true love to your soul! With God… Can you find eternal life so joyful and bliss! God’s purpose for your life. You don’t want to miss! With God… You can have peace and joy you never had! He’ll give you a reason to be happy and glad! With God… Things in your life will never be the same! That moment you reach out… And call on HIS name! By Jim Pemberton

My Best Friend and Mom

She stood there smiling
as I walked the line,
The day had finally come
it is my graduation time.

She stood there crying
as I lay in the bed,
Happy as can be she said
"I can see her head!"

She stood there crying
with a broken heart,
After Katrina quickly
tore our lives apart.

My mom is not only
a mom as you can see,
She is so much more for
she is a BEST FRIEND to me.

For this I know is
her love has no lack,
I would do anything for her;
even walk from hell and back.

Aborted Babies

Aborted Babies…

Innocent life is being murdered each day.
While our courts say that it’s legal and “o.k.”

Women getting pregnant and maybe don’t understand.
The tragedy that’s happening all over this land!

Is this really something that many people have willed?
To have the unborn to be
“torn apart and killed?”

Many are told abortion is the “best thing to do.”
But not knowing who else to turn to.

Government pretends to have an answer for this.
But it’s just turning into one huge mess!

Read the Bible and you will come to know.
The God who created you…
Loves you so!

Jesus knew you in the womb!
Your hair color and name!
He saw your body when out of your
 mother you came!

He saw your little heart the first time it beat!
And saw your mother the first time
 she tickled your feet!

There is never one unwanted person on God’s list!
You are precious to him…
And are never missed!

He knows each life and every heart that’s beating!
And brings purpose, love and
 a TRUE meaning!

A young homeless child
Looking for a home but finds none.
On my first day at school the mother's not around
To comfort me when I'm down-right scared
An innocent child of seventeen
I find myself locked up in a placement
An innocent child now afraid of time
Will I forget my goals and dreams?
I go to Maryhurst
And meet people who care
I learn about peer pressure and much more
Now comes the time
To break through.....

I Can't Do This Anymore It's Dragging Me Down

I just can’t keep “doing this” any longer! What am I doing? I began to wonder… This “sin” just keeps dragging me further down… What do I do? There’s no one around??? This “thing” has got a hold on me… I cry every night… I want to be FREE! I’ve tried and tried… But to no avail… Just when I think I have victory… I fail! I’ve read in scripture of a power that I haven’t seen. I read of a savior who can do ANYTHING! Why don’t I give him a try? I’ve nothing to lose! I’ve been so hurt, worn out and abused..… To you, dear Jesus… I confess my every sin. And can feel your love from deep within! Thank you Jesus! For giving me a joy I never knew… I don’t know where I’d be if not for YOU! You’ve brought to my life a peace I never had. For all you’ve done for me. I am so glad! Won’t YOU give your burdens to this one… I call friend? And experience the joy of being born again? Please come to him now. Why not this hour? And experience his life-changing power! A Big Problem In Churches Today

A Big Problem In Churches Today… There’s a big problem in churches deep within… Very few preach on the topic of; “SIN.” Sin is a very powerful and destructive force! Many families are coming apart and ending in divorce! Getting involved in perversions of various kinds… Many are getting a garbage of filth in their minds! Too many pastors are afraid to preach of a God who’s HOLY! They remain silent and consider it a bunch of “baloney! It’s just too easy to come and play “the Sunday game.” But at home… Things are not the same! Not everyone in church is doing fine and “o.k.” It doesn’t matter how you listen or what you say! God is a God of love but also of holiness too! He wants the best kind of life for me and YOU! He said to “take up the cross and come follow me!” This is the only way we can be TOTALLY FREE!!! Whatever sin or problem is “holding you down.” Seek the awesome presence of Jesus that can be found! If you can’t find his presence in your church building… Come to him in prayer! Seek his power of forgiving! He is God! There is NOTHING that you need to fear! Through the blood of Jesus… Your sins will disappear! He is and will always reward those who diligently seek him! All of your struggles you can put “beneath him!” “Though your sins be as back as scarlet, they can be as white like snow!” Once you’ve met the master. And the redeemer of your soul! I praise you as the greatest mother.
Growing up in near poverty,
Never doing without.
You passed that test no doubt.
For this I’m blessed.
Plus thru it all you never turned your back,
Really what more could I ask?
I love you mom
I have to say thank you for going above and beyond!!!!

Double Dechastic-A CARING PERSON

How would I describe Linda-Marie
with words never written for a caring person?
Kind, generous, responsive, courteous and lovable,
but many more qualities shoud be
attribuited to this extraordinary individual...
and I congratulate her for the battles she has won!
Mother of fine children, one fighting for this country:
Eric, the brave, young soldier defending our precious liberty!

How can I not be moved by what she writes?
Sometimes emotions become a well of tears...
as reality conveys much truth by proclaiming her a poetess!
Linda-Marie is a definite success, and one
needs to ponder over those verses to understand her well.
She's never disheartned, always encouraging someone...
she has touched me deeply enough to call her a caring friend!
Thank you, Linda-Marie, for showing me where the road leads!

Still In Love

Still In Love... My son came to me with a question on his mind. I said; “Not now son— I just don't have the time.” He said, “Daddy—are you still in love with Mommy?” “Do you love her like you did when I was in her tummy?” My eyes choked with tears; “Yes son I really do!” “I'm in love with her... and I appreciate you.” “Daddy—will you always love me like you do mom?” “Yes my son—my love for you will always belong.” I looked down and much to my surprise. There were tears running down my sons's eyes. He came running to me with his arms wide open. “Thank you daddy” were his words spoken. I picked him up and gave him a great big hug. As I let him down, on my shirt I felt a tug. His little arm reached up to grab my hand. I knew that what I said, he began to understand. I love his mom so much—my wonderful wife. Mom I'm Pregnant

“Mom…. I’m Pregnant!”

From the time I held my baby
in my arms…
I made a vow to “protect her from all harm.”

She was indeed a wonderful bundle of joy…
And during her life, has been a gift for us to enjoy.

She's been the focus of much of our attention,
Trying to provide for her
“timely” correction.

As a father, many thoughts entered my mind…
I wanted to be attentive to her,
patient and kind.

As she's gone through
her teenage years…
I thought of what perhaps is a parent’s #1 “fear.”

Then one day... “Mom I’m pregnant” were spoken...
At first, my heart was sad and “broken.”

“I didn’t raise her to be “crazy and wild…”
“How could this happen to a wonderful child?”

I realized that in spite of everything
 parent’s will do.
There’s no telling what their
children will put them through.

I gave her a hug and all of the
 support I could give…
Everything she’s been through…
 God will forgive!

With all that has happened in her life…
One day she’ll make someone a wonderful wife!

Dear Lord, please help my daugher to see...
How precious she is to her mother and me!

Those Close to Us Can Cause Much Hurt And Pain

Those Close To Us Can Cause Much Hurt And Pain... Isn’t it amazing… The hurt and damage, someone can do? Especially by the same person who said; “I Love You!” Isn’t it amazing… How someone, which we’ve given our heart… Can betray our love, and “tear it all apart?” On that special day, when your vows were exchanged… It’s almost like “overnight,” some people change! Even amongst Christians. This seems too commonplace. As people seek their own desires… Instead of God’ grace. Isn’t it amazing… How anger, jealousy and bitterness begins? Even amongst our loved ones, that we have called “friends?” What’s more amazing… Is how God, in his mercy and care.. Still loves us. And he is always there! No matter what you’ve said… No matter what you’ll do…. God remains the same. And is always there for YOU! He is faithful. His commitment to you is strong and secure! His love is everlasting. And is 100% PURE! I stand amazed, as to how God still loves us. He asks for our heart. He wants to trust us! Won’t you come and experience his love today? He loves you so much more than words could ever say! By Jim Pemberton

WHO Built YOUR House

This house of ours is “plain.”
But is still standing.
We’re “simple folks...”
 By many people’s understanding…

We may not have much of what is
“socially appealing”…
But we have love in our hearts.
And this is a good feeling!

We may not be “wrapped up” in much
 of this world’s entertainment.
But we seek God’s peace
and a desire for contentment.

We, as a family, have one purpose
 and “calling” in mind.
To seek God’s ways of being
 merciful and kind…

Each day we pray with much
 thankfulness in our hearts…
For this is where happiness
 and gratitude starts!

We’re thankful to the Lord for
 his unfailing grace…
And for keeping us together
 in this special place…

We’re blessed to have a God who
 is truly worth finding.
His word in our lives is precious
  and worth memorizing!

“Unless the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain that build it!”
God must rule and reign…
So his love can completely fill it!

Shelf life of sunshine

Shelf life of lights
=
A thoughtful commentary on the shelf-life of sunshine
flares up on the kitchen; here her quick hands have been
getting pickled and spicy, with each turns of time she’s spent.

Days are, of course, growing thin; like her little family
which has been unfastening. Son has gone to the town;
his dad has lost appetite; the vegetable patch’ve dried.

She looks at the brown cat, it seems to attain bodhi.
The salty air teases her hair, unknotted it.
“You look great.” The wind’s accent, slightly slurry, comes inside.

It reminds her of youth, insouciant, innocent.

Birthday Rose

Introduction: A mother is such a wonderful poetry...She is the compass and blessing for her children and no matter what, in our hearts - she's the rose that never dies.

The moment I first opened my eyes, I saw your glowing face in shine You took me in your graceful arms, And poured my life in peaceful charm You sacrificed more than I can count, To raise me and strengthen my ground Every time you heard me scream, You took off from your every meal You fulfilled all my needs and dreams, You mean the world and more to me A teacher, a playmate, An answer, a guide of fate You reach out and pull me back, Whenever I get lost off track You love me like no other, Words just simply can’t explain, you are the best mother With you I never pretend, by your values I transcend You help me get my courage tight, You aid me to my wisdom right You are my loving mother, Someone I have to share my thoughts Always you know, always you care, Always you feel, always you heal Your tender smile lights up my life, From doubts that keep me captive at night Forever in my heart, you reside You care so much and feel so deep, You’re just everything I need I’m above grateful to have you in my life, As every time I think of you, I always feel revived.

Did The Lord Build Your House

This house of ours is “plain.”
But is still standing.
We’re “simple folks...”
 By many people’s understanding…

We may not have much of what is
“socially appealing”…
But we have love in our hearts.
And this is a good feeling!

We may not be “wrapped up” in much
 of this world’s entertainment.
But we seek God’s peace
and a desire for contentment.

We, as a family, have one purpose
 and “calling” in mind.
To seek God’s ways of being
 merciful and kind…

Each day we pray with much
 thankfulness in our hearts…
For this is where happiness
 and gratitude starts!

We’re thankful to the Lord for
 his unfailing grace…
And for keeping us together
 in this special place…

We’re blessed to have a God who
 is truly worth finding.
His word in our lives is precious
and worth memorizing!

“Unless the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain that build it!”
God must rule and reign…
So his love can completely fill it!

I've Failed You Once Again

I Have Failed…

Lord, I have failed you time and time again,
By hanging on to my unrepentant sin.
I once thought, “my life will never get off track,”
Until that one day when I committed such a
terrible act.

“No one’s watching me” was what I thought,
not knowing the pain and suffering into my family
I had brought.
That one night of “pleasure” I hoped would go away,
but this sin stares me in the face every single day!

The lust that crept into my once cheerful heart,
Is now eating at me—tearing me all apart.
I once thought I was too good to commit a sin like this,
so many of God’s blessings I now will miss.

To you Jesus—my whole heart I ask you to cleanse.
for in you my whole life now depends.
Create in me a clean heart, renew a right spirit
within me.
Your forgiveness in my life is what others must see.

The most important thing to God I can now give,
Is a broken and contrite heart each day I shall live!

The Older I Am

The Older I Am… It seems like the older I am, with each passing day. There’s someone that I know who “passes away.” I remember as a child, 40 seemed to be “old.” Now, it seems quite young. As I’ve been told. This life that I have is wonderful and God given. He wants to be with me each day that I’m livin. The older I am, the more I begin to see. I need much more of God, and a lot less of me! Whatever path in life that I might choose. Without God in control. I’m going to lose! He’s the one that I need to take control. His word brings nourishment to my soul! His word and commandments need to be obeyed. There’s nothing for HIS LOVE I would ever trade! I thank you my lord for the life I have received. An eternal life with you, I want to achieve! The older I am…The closer I get to my mansion above God has blessed me and given me his eternal love! One more day with Jesus is sweeter than before! No matter my age. I’ll always need him MORE! He is and will always be with me till the end of time. I’m so glad that I am his. And he is MINE! By Jim Pemberton

Make Your Family FIRST

Make Your Family First! I know a person who had “a change of heart.” And very shortly his family “fell apart.” He was involved in doing “so many things.” He neglected the duty of what family brings! He became so involved in helping others… He neglected his wife and his kids’ mother! At first, he had the best of intentions… But failed to give his family any kind of attention! He was so busy, and away from home so much. It didn’t take long for him to be “out of touch.” Very soon he found his life “way off course…” And heading down the path of a divorce! He began to ask himself the question; “why?” As he began to hear all of his kids cry! Beyond all of the chaos and “chatter.” He decided that his family DOES matter! He quit doing many of the things he once did. And asked all of his family to please forgive! He’s now the kind of dad that he needs to be! And is with his family so faithfully! May this be a lesson and reminder to us all! How quickly we can get up. How quickly we can fall! May we put an effort into our family as number one! Every mom and dad! Daughter and son! What Has Happened To The Family

I remember growing up in a Christian family.
We were content, joyful and quite happy.

Things were "going along rather well."
We loved each other... more than words could tell.

I think of the special love
between mom and dad.
As my parents... I was proud and glad!

Over the years that rolled on by.
Something happened. I don't know why.

Our deep love became
replaced with "excuses."
Our relationshps filed with
 "barsh words and bruises."

This family... I once held so close to my heart.
Began to "unravel and fall apart."

Our love for another became bitter and cold.
Even to the day we're "growing old."

Everywhere... it is evident and appearing.
The family as a unit is quickly disappearing.

We must come together and
remove all bitterness.
And walk in God's love and his forgiveness!

We must appreciate one another--
in spite of our faults!
Standing together on Godly principles
brings good results!

It we insist on "going our separate ways."
We'll be sorry "one of these days!"

The family is what God has put together.
It needs to be rooted in love--
both now and forever!

HIS love needs to be the glue
that binds us as one.
Blessing every mom and dad...
daughter and son!

FAMILY RAINBOW CIRCLE

Rainbow circle never ends
Mother, sister, daughter, friend
sitting in your circle there
colorful skirts fanned
as you each braid
the other's hair
laughter's melody
fills the air
joy & anticipation
for the dance
tonight is shared
Captured now forever
image burned into
this cowboy's heart
reminding me forever
that a circle
has no end
many years
from now
this scene
will replay
Grandmother, Mother, sister, daughter

Forever-Part 1

Out on the beach with an amazing guy. The sun's so pretty, the sun's so bright. We're walking and talking about all our good times, against the world, hand in hand. Smiling and walking on the beautiful LA sand. We sit on a bolder and watch the sun set. It's an amazing day, one I will never forget. You slip your arm around me as we as we look at the beautiful sea. "I love you," I say as we feel the cool evening breeze. "I love you too," you say and pull out a small black box. I look at you, smile, and my heart stops. You open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?" you ask as my eyes fill with tears and my heart starts to sing. My smile gets wider as I say "yes". You pull me close to your chest. I gently kiss you as a tear rolls down my cheek. You brush it away and smile at me. "I love you," I say one more time. "I love you to baby," you say as you smile, "now your deffinitly all mine."

Today's the day, the day that starts the rest of our life. The day you become my husband, the day I become your wife. The last time I saw you was last night. But I woke up to a beautiful sight. A bouque of beautiful red roses lie on your pillow with a note on top. "I love you," it says, "and I can't wait to see you." I smile and whisper "I love you too." I take a shower and walk down to the beach to see how much is done. I step onto the hot sand and I feel the hot sun. It's almost done so I start to head home. I need to here your voice so I call your phone. "Hey babe," you say, "is everything okay?" I tell you everythings fine, I just need to hear you. I tell you I love you. You tell me you love me too. You say you have to go but you'll see me soon. "Okay, I love you," I say and look at the clock, it's almost noon. "I love you too," you say and the line goes dead. I look in the mirror and put my hands on my head. I smile and start to get ready for tonight. The first night of m new life.

I take a look in the mirror one last time. Just to make sure my beautiful dress is fine. I walk down to the beach and wait by the gate. I fix my veil and look at my friend. "You look amazing," she says and puts some flowers in my hand. "Thanks," I say and smile. I can't wait to walk down the aisle.

Will I Still Go To Heaven If I Envy?

I watch them from the corner of my eye.
(because I don't want them to think I'm weird)
I wonder how I could get what they have.
I wonder what happened
that made my own mom turn away.

Do they know I watch them?
Can they see the lump in my throat?
Did I blink my tears away quick enough?
Do they know?
I hope not.

I know it's a sin to envy.
I just can't stop myself.
I want to....I know how it seems.
It's embarrassing.
It's crazy to want somebody to love you
if they don't.

But, I still want a mom.
One that would come over and visit
and ask how the kids are doing.
One that offers me a hug
when she hears how I'm hurting.

One that loves me.

Dakota's Poem

I am finally home with you...
To show you Mamas love is true...
I love you my baby boy...
You fill my life with motherly joy...
I am sorry I had to work so many years...
I wanted to take away your fears.

Now you are eleven years old...
Your eyes tell the stories told...
You had me believing that Benjamin Franklin
got eating after he died...
I really didn't know you lied...
So I had to read your book...
As you and Daddy smiled with a look.

You bring such smiles to my face...
I love you my son with all your grace...
When you sing to me I love to hear your song...
None of the lyrics seem to long...
You are my precious baby boy...
Thank you for bringing my heart such joy.

Honor To Mother Mary is Honor To Father Christ

“The honor of the Mother reflects on Father Christ”
“Whatever honor and praise are given to the Mother bounces to the Son”
“The honor given to the Queen bestowed on the King”
The Honor we give to the Mother of the Lord was referred to Him Who was made incarnate (personified) of her”

The Mother is honored for her Son’s sake”
“Indeed in loving Mother Mary, we honor Eternal God”
“We will never love her as He loved her”
Father Christ was the first to honor her as His mother
“We will never be able to equal with which Father Christ loved her”

Dear God I Don't Want To Be DEPRESSED Anymore

My mind seems to be going
 "in every direction."
I often wander if I'm going
 through a depression.

The people I once loved...
 I love no more.
Life seems to be so "dry."
Rather "a bore."

My life seems to be
"turned upside down"
There's no one to help.
Nobody around.

Will you... God... listen
to my call?
And accept me...
Faults and all?

I know that you're listening
 to my desparate plea.
To love someone
as lowly as me.

Thank you Lord for
helping me along.
In your arms of mercy...
 Is where I belong!

You

(Dedicated to Brandi)

Many nights
You came to my room.

Only I know your
Needs. You give up when you
Lay wake at night.
You have cried in the dark

Wanting my presence
Inside of your mind.
Still I protect you. Please don’t forget
How long ago, I promised my ear.

It was a great day
When I got married
I gained a friend
That means so much to me.

She is so sweet
But sassy when need be
She laughs, sings, prays
And even crys with me.

She's always there
And shows she cares
Her love unconditional
No matter what the cost.

She holds my hand
When I can't seem to stand
Her shoulders are broad
The problems she tries to solve.

This is a way for me to say
I love you dearly
Thank you today
For giving away your dear son to me
And being, my Mother-N-Law

Reason to Rejoice 11032011

REJOICE WITH ME BECAUSE I HAVE FOUND THE COIN I LOST LUKE 15:9

WHEN MY FRIEND CALLED to tell me the story of how she lost
One of her expensive hearing aids
It sounded similar of the lost coin
Diane described how she had taken care of 5 or 6 errands in a day

During that time she placed her hearing aids in her pocket
When she returned home
One of them was missing
Diane hurried back to all places she had been

Retracting every step she searched for the precious item
Her voice held such amazed joy and gratitude
As she related the moment of actually finding the tiny hearing aid
No wonder Jesus used a story of losing and finding something of value to describe the joy God has over “one sinner who repents

When I hesitate to let go of an old hurt
Avoid repenting of my wrong doings
I hope the memory of my friend’s enthusiastic discovery
Will nudge me to give the Holy One another reason to rejoice

To A Very Special Mother

Thank you Jesus for
giving me my mother.
She's "one in a million!"
There is no other!

She's blessed her
family as well.
I love and appreciate her.
 Can't you tell?

She was there to teach
me right from wrong.
And Godly principles that
certainly belong!

I haven't strayed from

As a reflection of his love

May her life be blessed...

ERIC IS GOING TO IRAQ

Linda is making her urgent plea today
to all who read her desperate message;
she asks for comforting words and prayers
for her son Eric, who is going to Iraq, whose
pride and courage reflects a young age.

Go, Eric from your loved Motherland
and bring along the Star-Spangled flag...
to remind you of a mission of liberty,
to open the eyes of those deceived by tyranny;
go, Eric and bring along God's mercy.

Saying goodbye may be too hard,
so let tears flow to release much pain,
and your sacrifice is another child's gain...
an American soldier being there to transform ugliness into beauty,
to let him, or her see how a kind and loving stranger can change their destiny.

Go, Eric and make America proud with your manly ego,
and tell your mom that another unforgettable hero
will be added to the long list of those who planted their seed;
and on his return his family and friends will hug him
and congratulate him for his bravery and grit.

God's protection is invoked by a well-wisher and a caring person like me...
to bring you home in the shortest time, safe and sound;
and may the desert nights help you find that special friend in the stars,
and may the long days resemble the radiant sun's face, and should
you break down and cry: don't let despair be your demise.

Embrace your mother, and kiss her tenderly,
show her how strong and confident you are...
to go overseas and engage in a war still fought with atrocity;
look afar...visualize the moments of your glory:
when you'll land on your adored and beloved shore.

Forever-Part 2

Pacabells cannon starts to play. The gates open and everyone looks my way. Beautiful black and red roses line the red carpet that leads to you. You look amazing tonight too. I look at my white dress as I step into the setting sun. The light catches the black sparkles and roses on my dress and makes me look beautiful, makes me feel like one. A black rose on this beautiful LA sand. A black rose that belongs to a wonderful man. I slowly walk down the aisle. I walk up to you and I smile. There's black and red roses on the alter and I get up ther. I can smell their sweet fregrance in the warm evening air. The paster starts as I look at you. You say you vouls and I say mine too. You say "I do," and I do the same too. You slip yet another beautiful ring on my finger and kiss me so sweetly. We hold hands and walk back down the beautiful rose lined aisle.

We walk to the peir where there are beautiful lights hung up everywhere. I spin to look at the beauty and you lean in close to me and say, "wait here." You walk up to the DJ and request and smile as a familure tune comes on. I continue to smile and I take your hand. you walk me back out onto the beautiful sand. "Our first dance," you say. My smile gets bigger when I here Amazed starts to play. You pull me closer to you as we start to move from side to side. My nourvousness is hard to hide. "You okay beautiful?" you ask softly as you gently run your hand through my hair. "Yeah baby, I'm fine," I say as I see people gather around and stare. We dance and we sway sweetly and quietly. We kiss and dance slowly. We kiss again and you start to sing along with the song. I've been waiting for this day, I've been waiting so long.

We'r walking on the beach again. hand in hand. you still in your tux, I'm still in my dress. This is our future. Together. Forever. The setting sun catches my ring. It shines brightly. "I love you," I say and we kiss again. "I love you too," you say and gently pick me up.

You carry me back up to the house. You carry me up sairs and lay me on our bed. You lay beside me and gently kiss my head.

We lay there and talk for hours and hours. We smile and laughas our future stretches on in front of us.

Flee Immorality And Seek God's Purity

Flee Immorality And Seek God’s Purity! God’s word says to “flee from sexual immorality.” And to seek HIS wholesomeness and purity! It reminds us that our flesh “wars against our soul.” From every temptation, we must let go! With each day, there’s a battle that rages on… It’s a battle for doing what is right or wrong! God’s word must be the moral compass for our direction. We need to seek his word for much needed correction! We need to present our lives as pure to God above… And seek to be filled with his goodness and love! We need to be filled with things virtuous and good. We ought to live as a follower of Christ should! We must run fast from the “sinful traps” we encounter! We need to seek his holiness, majesty and power! God wants for each of us HIS very best! All ungodly things in our life need to be “put to rest!” God’s will in each of us, needs to be our goal! For only Jesus can truly make us complete and whole! Why not allow God’s to give you peace and contentment? And give him your life with a 100% commitment? By Jim Pemberton

If the Table Were Turned

You ask of people small things to do
But it seems like it’s so hard for them to do.
You say to yourself, “If the table were turned,
I would not have done this thing to you.”
You find yourself in certain situations,
And you ask individuals for their help.
But you’re left high and dry and all alone,
And once again you are all by yourself.
You know the saying goes,
What goes around comes around the same.
But some of the things that has happened to me,
I would not want those things to happen to anyone else by name.
Sometimes, the way we react,
Others do not understand,
But if the table were turned,
I guarantee you;
You would not find another like me in the land.
We do things to other people,
And you wonder if the table was turned;
Would you get treated the way you should have been,
Or would you end up just getting burned.
I know that we are going to reap, that which we sow,
Our character has to get tested.
And that’s how people would really know;
That if the table were actually turned,
It would show the kind of reaction or blow.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO, OR HOW WOULD YOU REACT, IF THE TABLE WERE TURNED!!!

I Pray For My Children

I Pray For My Children… As a parent, having raised my kids.. I wanted to be a good example in how I lived. Disappointments and failures… I’ve had my share! I still love them and will always care! I didn’t want to “run away,” like many do… I want to be there to tell them; “I love you!” I did my best to give them a God given dedication… And to help them in a Bible based education. Now the years have passed and my kids are grown… Very soon, they’ll all be out of the home. I pray for God’s blessing in their days ahead. May the Bible be their source of “daily bread.” I pray that the Lord will guide their every step… May a love for God in their hearts be kept! Lord, please keep them from evil and harm… And keep them safe and secure in your arms! I pray that one day in heaven, I will see.. All my kids with me... For eternity! By Jim Pemberton

After All These Years Still IN LOVE

Still In Love...
My son came to me with
a question on his mind.
I said; “Not now son—
I just don't have the time.”

He said, “Daddy—are you still
in love with Mommy?”
“Do you love her like you did when
I was in her tummy?”

My eyes choked with tears;
“Yes son I really do!”
“I'm in love with her...
and I appreciate you.”

“Daddy—will you always love
me like you do mom?”
“Yes my son—my love for you
will always belong.”

I looked down and much
to my surprise.
There were tears running
down my sons's eyes.

He came running to me with
his arms wide open.
“Thank you daddy” were his words spoken.

I picked him up and gave
him a great big hug.
As I let him down, on my shirt I felt a tug.

His little arm reached up to grab my hand.
I knew that what I said,
he began to understand.

I love his mom so much—my wonderful wife.
She's been such a blessing-
a great part of my life!

Fragments of Design

Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces,
Makes each one of us who we are, and do become,
Each passing moment joins us and then releases.
Each passing human secures a piece and then some.

We are and will be the essence of everyone we meet.
I remember the smell, his words, my grandfather left for me.
I recall the wisdom my grandmother shared non-discreet.
Scents of her baking and cooking Sunday dinner for three,

These and so many more are embedded for natural recall.
Never searched for in your mind, etchings of time gone by,
Fragments of normal design, remembered forever after all.
They may deliver happiness, or create mourning or a sigh.

For every person you meet you take a part of their spirit.
Fragments of their emotions stick with you for at least a while.
Along with they acquire fragments from your little tidbit.
These fragments that we apportion make life so versatile.

Let's Keep Marriage STRONG

Let’s Keep Marriage Strong! In marriages, we often fail to Be take time to communicate… To be honest with each other… Truthful and straight! In each other… We need to look for the BEST! And not treat each other like a “pest.” We don’t need to speak words that’ll cause harm… But to love each other with an opened arm! May we serve one another with compassion and love! Knowing we were brought together from God above! Just think about the first day you were wed… Remember the words; “I love you” were often said! We need to keep marriages together no matter the cost! Divorce leads to so much tragedy and a huge loss! By Jim Pemberton

Are You Having An Affair

I don't think many people
are aware...
of the dangers of having
"an affair."

Adultery begins with a lustful thought
captured in the mind.
It's been part of sins's curse,
 since the beginning of time.

Many aren't sure how they're
 going to react.
Until the day they're caught
 in an adulterous act.

By this time... they're love for
 their spouse is broken.
When the words; "I love you"...
 to another... are spoken.

Soon... their home become
"turned around" and divided.
As their commitment and loyalty
become undecided.

The family soon become "
one huge mess..."
As the love "for another person"
becomes "obsessed."

You may find yourself in this
kind of situation.
Perhaps you're in
 "deep desparation."

Run from this person as
fast as your can!
Come to the cross and
reach for Jesus' hand!

Confess your sin to your spouse
 and call on Jesus' name.
You have only yourself...
no one else... to blame.

Allow Jesus to 100% be
the Lord of your life.
As you brings you together
as husband and wife!

Let him restore your marriage
and make it complete.
Come to him now and
lay your sin at his feet.

His love in your marriage is
forever and binding!
His commitment to you is
a love worth finding!

Are You Discouraged Feel Like Giving Up Without A Job

It was me that my
savior chose...
He’s supplied all my needs—
my food and clothes.

He was there when I was
laid off from work.
Satan was saying,
“you’re no good—just a jerk.”

I admit; “my accomplishments—
I do not boast.”
But I do exalt the Father,
the Son and Holy Ghost.

If not for God’s love,
I’d be dead, this I know.
This is the reason why
I love him so!

He’s done so much for me—
it’s hard to express.
The privilege of being God’s son—
I am so blessed!

I was a clay jar all broken apart,
But the potter put me together
from his heart.

The glue he used was his
love for me,
That’s why I’m happy
and set free!

This I know and hope
you’ll understand,
He’ll do the same for you—
just reach out your hand!

The little girl

The little girl who wasted years
Ignoring precious time
Has given love a second chance
By mending what's inside
And thus by healing her broken heart
Two were saved to find
A friend they lost, far out of sight
But never out of mind
And the little girl with an empty hand
Now holds her mother's tight
Free to talk about the pain
Of time that passed them by

And though the years once lost are gone
It's now that holds the key
It's not how many seasons change
But time before we leave
To tell the ones we love the most
With measured time to share
For a fleeting life, comes and goes
But love's forever there,
Was a lesson learned by the little girl
Who closed her heart one day
But given to so very few
A second chance to say
That love is now between us
The wall's been taken down
The daughter's found her rightful place
Beside her mother now

You Were There

You were there when I hurt
You were there when I graduated
You were there when I cried
You were there when I need someone to help
You were there when there was a problem
You were there when I was scared
You were there when I had my good days
You were there when I had my bad days
You were there when I feel
You were there to pick me back up
You were there when noone else was
You were there when it didn't seem you were there at all
You've always been there
And I just know realized this
And even though I'm 24 years old your still there for me
You've been an inspiration
I couldn't every repay you for being there for me
Cause you weren't even my real mother
But that didn't stop you from being there for me

I've Loved

From love I passed
To love I go
To not knowing where I am
And where I have been today~

And love I must discover...

Love is great to have
For love I will know
is good for all of us
And I pass my test
for I love you in goodness
and I know the future
and the past has left me behind...

MOTHER'S EYES

Mother’s eyes peer at her books everyday
Mother’s eyes spot the messes on my clothes
Mother’s eyes get me in trouble for the messy room
She says, “Paul, it is cold outside,
Make sure you bundle up.”

Mother’s eyes see past the skin
Mother’s eyes comfort the pain from the scratch
Mother’s eyes decorate the house and yard
She says, “Dinners ready!”
And we all come to see her masterpiece

Mother’s eyes show love
Every time I come home from school
Mother’s eyes show cheer
Every time I play ball
Mother’s eyes comfort
Even when I beat her in memory
She says, “I am just getting warmed up
I will get you next time.”

Mother’s eyes have always been there
From north to south
Right by my side
Mother’s eyes will always be there
Right with me by my side
That is why I love mother and her eyes

The Persons We Are 11072011

BEFORE A WORD IS ON MY TONGUE, BEHOLD, O LORD, YOU KNOW THE WHOLE OF IT PSALM 139:4

MY SPOUSE AND A FEW close friends have been known to finish my sentences
Before I do
Some could find this annoying
But I don’t

For it illustrates just how well these special people know
Understand me
It can be exhilarating to be known so well by another
But at times I find it scary too, because it can make me feel more vulnerable

If someone knows me well
Then they also know what hurts me
What causes my heart to ache
Presumably how to manipulate my emotion

We may not feel worthy of God’s attention or desire
It may seem scary, but God would never prey on our vulnerability
God Savors the persons we are
Persons formed in God’s own image and likeness

the flow of the ebb and ethos

all of our great steps
as well as our
more human steps
that we do most often
are greatly overexaggerated
like lofty flowers
in the trees
as seeking upwards
reaching ridiculously
transversely
for the bananas of
tomorrow's smoothie
already on the ground

so we can be more cognizant of other energy fields
besides our own
that hit life frequency

peak to valley
valley to gorge
gorge to river
river to sky

atoms in your soul
since the dawn of time

the chemistry of the stars
reminds us of
who we really are

and that is ...

Mona Lisa Mother's Day

God's blessings for mothers,
To have their relatives and loved ones near,
The blue sky and the beautiful trees,
The sound of songbirds singing their song,
Friends that keep us company,
The miracles that guide us everyday,
A quiet day of thankfulness,
Many beautiful memories through the years,
Guided by God and the ten commandments.
The miracle of education that enhances our lives.
A church that is harmonious and forever.

TWO COUNTRIES LOVED BY ME

How wrong is the notion than having two great loves...
doesn't make a heart absorb what it immensely adores.

My natural motherland is that southern European country
kisses by the warm waves of the Mediterrean sea,
where a great empire rose and conquered others,
only defeated by the barbarians like the Huns.

My adopted motherland was discovered by Columbus,
who with three ships sailed the Atlantic Ocean confidently,
hoping to find a route to India, the land of spices and mystery...
and he thought all along it he had found it without any loss.

The first one made a dreamer out of me overnight,
and inspired me with her breathtaking landscapes and skies;
who has ever see Mount Vesuvius throught a teenager's eyes,
and be somewhat moved by the magnificent sight?

The second one nourished my erring and poetic spirit so sensible:
seeing snow-capped mountains, green vallies and sun-drenched canyons;
there all thoughts fled to find inspiration...like kids playing with crayons,
attempting to draw with ingenuity images very awesome and beautiful.

These two countries are loved by me as I loved sweet mother;
the old one holds her strict religious values and the other has more realistic freedom,
not suggesting to quickly discard one, and embrace the other;
I will definitely love them both and honor their flags with the joyful beats of my drum.

How happy and grateful I am to have had these friends fulfilling my worthiness
that daily shaped my character and broadened my avenues towards success.

Jesus Is A True Foundation For Your Marriage

As a child, in church, I was raised.
Taught the Bible
and the Christian ways.

At an early age, I invited Jesus in.
Learning what was right
and what was sin.

I looked up to my parents--I really did.
I was so proud of the
way they lived.

They were the world to me--
I was so proud.
Then one day there appeared
a very dark cloud.

This cloud hovered over my parents,
whom I loved so dear.
Soon the ugly face of divorce
was soon to appear.

I prayed for them-
I desperately tried.
The many nights I lay
awake and cried.

How could this happen?
 I often wondered.
To have a wonderful marriage
so utterly plundered.

A sin crept in--and was
allowed to prevail.
Soon this marriage
began to fail.

Let this be a warning to me and to all.
Playing with sin will cause us to fall.

If your life is heading
toward a separation,
build your marriage on Jesus--
a true foundation!

He can Do what no
other power can do...
And give NEW meaning
to the words; "I LOVE YOU!"

My Family

My family loves me.
My parents wore gentle gloves
While they raised me
When I was a baby.
My mother and father
Save me from drowning
Whether in aquatic places
Or in one of my emotional despair traces.
My grandparents care for me,
Even if they rub in the truth
Too frankly and bluntly.
The bad things other say about me
Are not true.
But my family will always
Bring me through sad times.
I am glad my aunts, uncles, and cousins are mine.
My family knows me as a
One of a kind child.
They are what save me.

Silence

After millions of seconds,
every second seeming,
much longer than the other.
All we wanted was good news,
all we wanted was you...

 A night with little excitement
only listening to the music,
and watching stars make lame jokes,
my sister and I heard a ring,
only faint cause the phone was outside.

Praying that everything was all right
we only wanted you safe,
we hear a sob from my mom.
As the moment my life fell apart
the good news never came.

You ran,
you jumped,
you swam,
you quit.
Why?
I don't understand.

We still haven't stopped asking questions,
Why you? Why us? Why then?
Those questions will never be answered.
It's been almost five years
Why?!

When you left you took a part of us with you,
My mom says hello,
Can you say hello to Ashley for me?
I hope you take her camping, and watch the stars at in the sky.
I hope everything's alright.

I know your dad came to join you,
Does it make you happy when people join you,
maybe that's what was going through my sisters mind,
maybe we all miss you more than you'd expect

Ever since you've been gone,
there has been a silence,
never questioned cause we don't want to face the truth
I wonder if you had more time if you wouldn't have done it,
do you regret it, or do you like the silence in the clouds.

We will never understand why you ran.
Life hasn't been the same since,
it's gone done hill from there,
you will always be in my thoughts.

MOMS

Millions of dewdrops greet the dawn,
As hungry of bees buzz the clover,
Dazzling butterflies flutter about,
As moms give love the world over.

Lessons learned at our mother’s knee,
Last a lifetime till we grow older,
Popping up when troubles accrue,
Like a whispering angel on our shoulder.

Gods gives us friends that mean so much,
Children, fathers, sisters and brothers,
Though far, far above all the rest,
No one loves us more than our mothers.

In and out of friendships, jobs and partners,
Our mothers always remain our evening star.
Those who where born to a selfish mom,
Make the rest us realize how lucky we are.

How great life is to have a good mom,
Who reads what we feel but can’t say.
Nothing means as much as her tender touch,
And for all who are without one, “we pray.”

Are We Being Driven to God's Elimination

Are We Being Driven to God’s Elimination? In the names of diversity and anti-discrimination. It’s like we’re being driven to God’s elimination! God is being “forced” from many institutions! All in the name of this country’s constitution! We’re told that God and this country must be “separated.” Anything less is what many would call; “discriminated.” Any forms of Godly virtues or values are “torn down.” Any symbol of a cross is often “removed from the town.” It’s no wonder that this country’s in such a big mess! Only God has the power to free your soul from sin! The words; “in God we trust,” in our lives must be applied! Everything we’ll ever need… God has supplied! God is this country’s hope! It’s only true foundation! We need HIM right now! To come and heal our nation! By Jim Pemberton

Alanis morisette

I know you got my letter
from years ago
the one about all my problems
and the crush i had on you
about my dresser and my mispelled name
and what slide meant to me and why

I should be accountable
but im not sure what im supposed to do
ive heard you
and understand your sick of your voice and why
ive even tried joining your fan club
but i think that fell through

I told u about my friend sherri shepherd and her family
and how they blindly ylead eachother
but im not allowed to be her friend

Im not sure what id do if i was in your shoes
recieving a letter from a child fan
telling a stranger their suicidal tendencies
and molestations and abuse at home
and their witchcraft circle and strange experiences that involved
making love to a famous artist before their career had changed

Alanis
its like unexplainable to me
what you are
a reminder of a mother figure i never knew
a saving grace when the angels seemed soo far away
and i understand all of ur lyrics from im not ur mother
i diont carry you in my womb for nine months
to not the doctor
and now i wonder if im like an adopted 27 year old
life lesson
object to crave
side project
toy
you never wanted but got handed
and passed with flying colors

even though a few of your lyrics are two edged swords
im not sure what i wrote and sent off to you
but by the time you read it and wrote that song a lot had changed

i spoke of love like yours
and the help i needed and how i was fascinated with you
things i needed help with no one else could
i dont remember what i wrote
i think i wrote marilyn manson one too

Thank you
we bruised eachother
and i know you did a lot more for me
an object to crave?
its there u know...and it might not be me
but if u want one and u cant find one
i can help u look, or show u places to start

life is strange
i cant fathom the loops we sent eachother through
and who knows what anymore
but thank you soo much

My Alter Ego

In my eyes as a child my dreams forever grow,
I can catch the talons of an eagle and slay the meanest foe,
Drop to the peak of the mountain top and set my Princess free,
Dive the depths of the ocean and bring her back the sea,
To quince her thirst and cleanse her soul,
In the name of my friend, Ebie Sybie So.
I can slap my baby sisters and for all my parents know,
It wasn’t me who did it, It was Ebie Sybie So,
I remember this one most frightening time,
When the twins teamed up and beat my behind,
Ebie wasn’t there and it got real scary,
‘Cause my sister had two friends, Redeye and Kerry,
Redeye and Kerry must have assisted the twins,
You see they were Cindy’s two imaginary friends,
Out numbered but not out classed,
I cried to my mother hoping she’d beat their ass,
As I went to my mother with tears in my eyes,
The twins got smart and started to cry,
Mom came a running like a mother cat,
You see the twins were the youngest spoiled little brats,
What did you do to my darling little twins, tell me now, I want to know,
But Mom it wasn’t me who did it. It was Ebie Sybie So.
Well as time went by, it was half past nine,
When my mother took the switch and beat my behind,
She said, that wasn’t nice, what you did, you know,
But Mom, it wasn’t me who did it. It was Ebie Sybie So.
My mom said, when I lie, my lips begin to grow,
Like the nose of the puppet Pinocchio,
In my eyes, it wasn’t a lie,
And besides Cindy had two friends, Kerry and Redeye.
Back in the bathroom, in the mirror I stare,
What happened to you Ebie, don’t you even care?
The silence was deafening as my tears began to flow,
It wasn’t me who did it. It was Ebie Sybie So.

and 'Ladies'

  and 'Ladies' young and old
do you even know
when i go into the grocery store
and how they come all around me
and i
not even paying attention
as they watch me squeeze this and
squeeze that
and they being all that you are
some what more and some few less
and they
take my hand and place it there
and in my hand they squeeze it
they squeeze it harder than they should
but i'm not paying attention
and as i'm thinking about squeezing
that which needs to be squeezed
in my mind i am squeezing it more
and watching some become flushed
there faces grow dark and pink
so many
and so many my head spins around
looking down as i feel
all of that juice run free
through my hands
and all of my critical thinking
has left me it's gone.

Morning Prayer 3

Sign of the Cross (poem)

O my God
I offer you all my prayers
 Works
 Joys
 and sufferings

In union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus
For the intentions
Which He pleads
Offers Himself in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

In thanksgiving for Your favors
In reparation for my offenses
In humble supplication for my temporal
Eternal welfare

For the conversion of sinners
For the relief of the poor souls in purgatory.
Amen.

MY GIFT TO DENISE

Denise is barely twelve and smart,
she has been an orphan for sometime,
but since her mom passed away,
she grew up as lonely child...
generosity was instilled early
in her little, empty heart.

She made her first paper star
when Sirius, the brightest one,
appeared and hung over
the twinkling, navy blue horizon...
thinking of her mother's illness,
and to her she was a pretty princess.

And with love and eagerness, Denise
sang a melancholic song every evening,
feeling her presence with that smiling face;
other girls had mothers to sing them lovely lullbyes,
so Sirius was deeply touched, and seeing
her loneliness got some nightgales to lull her to sleep.

I've made a plea today, through the Archangel Gabriel,
to ask God to give the star, Sirius, to Denise,
and in return I would do many a good deed;
and tell everyone the wonderful news with a thrilling voice,
and would the Almighty, who made this gem to gleam,
grant me another wish...a wish perhaps too impossible?

Nights passed, and no heavenly message was sent to me,
and Gabriel never returned to ease my restlessness and fear;
one night as I fell asleep...his voice ordered me to listen,
" Your Father has granted your wish...He has seen a sincere love;
now Sirius is Denise's star!" And waking up from that vision,
I looked outside and there she was gazing at it with awe!

Entered in Lind-Marie Bariana's contest, " Shining Star "

Starting from scratch has never felt so Good
I’ve been from the Burbs and now my life’s the Hood
Blessed needless to say- this journey has been one for the Record
I’ve been pushed/ pulled/ torn but not Broken
Im taking lifes trials and tribulations as a Golden Token
I’ll allow the things I go through in life to make me Better
If that means I have to go through the storm to get to pleasant Weather
I’ve learned to let go which is the hardest thing I’ve had to Do
But I owe my life to God, not the family or even to You
I am a woman with newly discovered Worth
This journey I’ve taken has been filled with so much Hope
The light of Life is now burning so Bright
Took a lifetime of trials for me to get it Right
Now I have God on my side and my Strength is Greater

Sincerely Yours,

Dear friend ,

The world means nothing.
Its set in flames.
Even worse we roam with cold hearts trying to look the part,
in this guilded age.

This is something I wish not to be a part of.
I no longer want to be another soul endlessly making
contact with sole and pavement.
I'm striving for abatement.

For meaning I've always looked at dictionaries.
For significance we've always looked at actions.
So please do take another look and see what this letter is for.

Our education is supposed to be priceless, yet we can't afford it.
Our outlook on life is supposed to be uplifting , yet our vision is always distorted.
Our struggle is supposed to be significant , than why is it our stories won't be recorded?

Does this not trouble you my friend?
We complain about being second rate citizens yet there are those who don't live
but attempt to survive in their homes that are assigned in third world countries since before birth.

Where is the justice if the hearts are starting to turn into just ice?
Wheres the justice if a benevolent man was robbed of their life?
Where's the justice in this non-sense?
I can't see it . All I see is us bracing for a cruel consequence.

Pardon me if I trouble you with the questions you can't answer.

But i've outweighed the pros and the cons of this situation.
I no longer wish to to be just another number in this logorithm of lies.
I no longer wish to be a variable with no value of his own.
I wish to become the variable that comprehends the absolute value of sincerity.

Real love is that which shows no fear.
Unfortunately I am a coward.
I no longer can love a world that is platinum plated and wishes not to remember
the warmth of a child's smile.

Even the stars wish not to roam on the skies of the falsely lit nights.
Even the moon moans because of how far from her we've drifted.
Even the willos weep when we no longer wish to see them stand and instead
choose them to stand on.

I've outweighed the courage and the fear.
But what I found frightened me further.
What weighed us down the most was indifference.

With that discovery I knew what I had to do.
I must leave and find somewhere where gravity is no longer so heavy.

I know I can't outweigh death for it's a burden that falls on the shoulders of everyone.
I'm truly sorry that i'm a selfish coward
For I have chosen the coward's end.

I wish you goodluck my friend,

Sincerely yours,

The shadow of men

Do You Hold A Grudge

I knew of a "brother" who held a grudge.
From his position. He wouldn't "budge."

When asked why he held this...
 against a certain person.
Having nothing to do with him.
 He was certain!

The reason for this grudge...
Is probably "silly" to many.
When asked for a good reason.
There wasn't any.

He said; "I don't hold any
kind of unforgiveness."
"What I do..." "It's none of your business!"

"I don't hold a grudge and I
 want to be clear!"
"There are some people...
 I wish weren't here!"

Are there people in your life
who've been "shut out.?"
"Is this what being Christ' example is all about?

Living for Christ is not about who we "avoid."
If a life of Godliness is to be fully enjoyed.

We can make "excuses" to stay
 away from somebody.
This could be your brother.
Neighbor. Or anybody.

Christ gave his life and wants
us to follow his rules...
He knows all about us.... And is never fooled!

May your life be filled with
compassion for every soul.
In doing this... You'll be made
complete and whole!

Discover true freedom. Leave any
"grudges" in the past.
Enjoy true victory in Christ...
And a peace that 'll last!

Not Exactly Break Dancing

On a hot summer night
To a nightclub we danced
My girlfriends and i
Music entranced

There i was
Giving it all
When something happened
That made me fall

In disbelief
Dancing to MJ's beat
My kneecap snapped
Broken real neat

The doctors said
It was the strangest break
The pain you have
Will keep you awake

No more standing
For weeks to come
I'll let you know
Don't be so glum

In the heat of summer
Long days stuck in
Watching TV
Looked after by kin

I long for the day
To get back to school
To be with my friends
Who are all real cool

The miss of my friends
Sends me round the bend
No job, no money
Parental spend

This lucky young lady
Has a caring mum
If it wasn't for her
I sure would be glum

So Julia, i said to myself
Your not exactly, left on the shelf
I will get better, wait and see
Back to dancing, 123

In time I'll look back
And visualise
The angel who helped
And realise

That was my mom
I love her so much
As only mums do
That loving moms touch

This poem was written for a dear friends daughter, get well soon Julia.

Silence

You want to be a man or a woman of Eternal God
You must pray
To be a man or a woman of prayer
Must make silence a good friend of yours

Silence on the inside
Silence on outside
Silence you will hear the message of Eternal God or Father Christ
Will read, hear and understand with all your heart

Risking Our Necks 11052011

GREET PRISCA AND AQUILA, MY CO-WORKERS IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO RISKED THEIR NECKS FOR MY LIFE ROMANS 16:3-4

PRISCA (ALSO CALLED PRISCILLA) and Aquila
Were first-century lay missionaries who accompanied Paul on his travels
His praise of these two indicates that their dedication was exceptional
I wonder if I am ready to risk my neck for the sake of another

Could I be that other-centered?
These questions lead meto ponder what my motivation
For what I do
How ready I am to tend to those in need

I must constantly consider these things
My society pulls me toward individualism and self self-orientation
Placing others’ concerns before my own
Going the extra mile

Doing without something I enjoy
Allowing myself to be uncomfortable or inconvenienced
These are tiny but significant actions
Enable me to risk my neck for the sake of another

Readings and Gospel
Romans 16:3-9, 22-27
Psalm 145:2-5, 10-11
Luke 16:9-15

You're My Mom

You're the best I could ever have,
You make me happy when I am sad,
You give me what I need,
and patch me up when I bleed,
You give me all your love and understanding,
Sorry sometimes I can be so demanding,
I appreciate all you have done for me,
I like the way you let me be free,
You always show all your love,
and when I need you buy me dove,
I know I act real bad,
and always get you all mad,
But today I want you to forget it all,
Today's Mother's Day so have a ball

So Good

A comfortable sound; is found in the pews
Illuminated, we are feeling the Good News
As this providence is caught alive
All tempestuous thoughts of transgressors subside
Hallelujah, HE brings divine will for all of us too…
It is so good to hear the sweet sounds from the pews

Words

The words of lovers
take them far.
The words of liars
leave them at the bar.

The words of mothers
soothe the heart.
The words of fathers
strengthen the weak.

The words of friends
can make us laugh.
The words of enemies
can tear us down.

The words of God
give us faith.
The words of the Devil
bring us hate.

Words to the wise,
It's sometimes best
to not use words at all.

Knowledge of Others

She never realized,
What she had inside,
Till she recognized she was a mother.

She loved her own
Plus a few on loan
That she nurtured in place of others.

Are those others to blame?
Should they be ashamed?
I think not wise to aver.

For they have no clue
When they misconstrue
And hold their child in disfavor.

No instructions they show
So love never grows
And their children cease to strive.

But surrogate moms
Stop the time bombs
And help those naive to thrive.

Though they’re never alone
When they teach the unknown
To advance and never surrender.

For matters not age
Of pupil or sage
Nor does it consider the gender.

They lead souls in need
With advice they do seed
And instruct the bewildered to fare.

Hence the child shows love
They were once deprived of
Now living their life so aware.

They now hold a key
In the vast human sea
Thanks to the knowledge of others.

For unwitting wise emit
A mere prose or a quip
Never knowing they helped another.

Barbara

Barbara
That Woman drives me crazy
She Once was a Mother
and onto a Friend
That Woman, She drives me crazy
She taught me about life
Whats Wrong and Whats Right
I learned from her Mistakes but
That woman drives me crazy
Never Rich but Not Poor
She Occasionally swore
That woman, She drives me crazy
Behind that I seen her Frown
She Always came Running,, If I hit the Ground
but That Woman, She drives me crazy
Full of Confidence and Self- Respect
Her Pride as tall as can be
She gave me my Wings and told me to Fly
but that Woman, She drives me crazy
I Love You Ma.

A SWEET LULLABYE

Which kids long to hear a sweet lullabye...
when they are cuddled up in their beds,
when the vagrant moon won't shine on them to make them sigh?
Would you say they are those being loved by caring parents?

Not at all...orphans with many needs do!
They have dreamed of that mellow sound
as long as they can remember, and 'though they were fearful infants,
those memories were recalled vividly by their mind;
and they are very sad and unforgettable, too...
ask them about their disappointment, you'll surely witness their tears!

Orphanages aren't great places for children to dwell in,
and frustration and anger echo within those walls of silent pain,
where the outside world cannot hear them and alleviate them...
but curious faces peek through window screens and dream!

Let's sing them a sweet lullabye, so that they can sleep
under a vigilant moon and begin weaving their dream;
let's give them a memorable night as the nightingales revere their smiles
as they mimic that melody to make their young hearts rhapsodize!
Let's sing them a sweet lullabye, not just for one night, but for many...
and would they want to turn back time and be solicitous and solitary?

"My Mother" my Queen

You carried me for over nine months
You sheltered me and clothed me to the best way you could
You gave me love and taught me right from wrong
You tried to guide me in the right direction
You always stood behind me when I was in the wrong and caused nothing but
heartache and pain
I regret putting you through what I have in the past
I have grown up and realized my mistakes which I have learned from
I look at you and appreciate what God has blessed me with
I was given a Queen that is beautiful, strong woman and has a heart of gold
a woman that deserves reconigition and shines in her own way
Although there's distance between us you're thought of and loved everyday
You should never doubt the way I feel
You're the Queen of my heart
I would never trade you..lend you and never forget you
Being a mother is a lifetime of giving love and care
Sometimes it seems like you don't know who I am but I'm just like you
I keep this inside because I am strong and it's close to my heart
I'm your baby girl but I'm going to make you proud because that is the gift I'm
giving you
A mother is a lifetime of hardwork..dedication..and an everlasting love
Thankyou for being and having a heart that is so strong
I have been blessed in so many ways
In my eyes you're a rose that never dies and a friend for life
I Love You Mom

"AJOROSUN"

Only at the top of “Mapo” Hill
Lies the old but tattered roofs
Of the ancient city of Ibadan
"Ajorosun" the second largest in Africa

Archaic modern city with which we measure
The political tempo and potentio-meter
Of the most populous black nation in the world

The city of those who only chew “Oro”
And converse with the mat for the dinner
The city of those who ride and rid people
Their properties with horses and impunity

Those who refuse to know “Laipo”
Stand not to know the city called Ibadan
The city of the real warriors and conquerors

Inside a Lagos bus on my way to Ibadan
From Lagos.The inspiration came when
The vehicle (Sango-Molete) got to Bere,
Behold I saw Ibadan and the tattered roofs.

NB-"Ajorosun" is a Yoruba word from an Ethnic group in Nigeria. It is used as
praise poetry for the Ibadan people of Nigeria.

A Mother's Love ..For A Child So Young In Need

Tonight was my son's christmas concert and memorial for a little girl named
Emily
Her life was tragically taken at seven in a half years old
By a highway ramp that was to short in length to emerge
I was so proud of my son for ttrying and preparing himself for this evening
You see the last week he has taken this hard
I bought him a new suit and even let him pick out the flower he wanted to wear on
his jacket
A pink rose
He looked so handsome and shined like the prince he is
The very end there was a slideshow of Emily
First picture I shedded a tear while he sat there amongst his friends sitting ever
so quiet
When it was finished the lights came on
There he was coming to me all teary eyed
All I could do was hold him so tight and share his pain
I kneeled over and held him like there was no-one around us
It was a moment that continued even in the car ride home
This is a time in my life I could finally see he really knew what it felt like to taste
the bitterness of a loss
He's six years old tommorow and as he got out of the car
He held his hands in the air with such hatred
Begging her to come back
Tell me how do I explain this to him
Repeatedly saying "I miss you"
I love you so much
Why Emily
Pretty pretty please
To hear those words and see his actions of anger
Is so painful
I did what a mother would do
I stood there with him let him vent
I held him and rubbed his back
We came in the house and I put his pyjamas on
I tucked him into bed and held him
Cried with him and comforted him
I told him about the goodness she brought in this world and how God must of
truly needed her
I cried with him till he could'nt cry no more
I was there for him and in the end he turned to me and said "I really love you"
Sang him a song and hummed until he fell asleep
It's time like these you the importance of loving a child to no extent
God bless him and Emily's family for having the strength to carry on when they
were at their weakest

Collections

I’ll add you to my safe keeps.
And put you with my collections.
I’ll sit back with my own reflections.
After, I’ve taken hundreds of peeps.

I’ll put you under my pillow where I sleep.
And then there will be no exceptions.
It’s where delusion versus deceptions.
You and I will never weep.

Until your heart is free to run,
I’ll be collecting ashes and dust.
I’ll never be done!
And I’ll never rust.

My collections of restorations appeal.
Piece by piece many of you will heal.

MY MOTHER

As a boy growing up
She made every rule
She mended my cuts
And sent me to school

She punished my wrongs
But praised my good deeds
My very first friend
Who took care of my needs

She was always there to listen
And to support my every dream
But would stop me and correct me
When she caught me in a scheme

She knew the way i felt inside
And all the things i thought
That at times i leaned towards evil
So on God's words me she taught

She knew i needed special help
To keep me on right track
For i could sometimes wander far away
Maybe never to come back

She was the one who kept me sane
And kept the family close
Then one day she passed away
So now i miss her most.

I Met This Lady Who Didn't Know What To Do

I met a lady who didn't
know what to do.
She was deserted by the one
 who said; "I love you!"

I can't begin to describe
 her look of despair.
She asked; "does anyone out
there really care?"

She told me of her very
 difficult situation.
Feeling much hopelessness
and frustration.

I remember seeing her and her
family at church before.
But things are different now...
She's not happy anymore.

I was in a hurrry... not wanting
 this "extra burden."
But this one thought from scripture
became quite certain.

We must minister to the widows
 and single mothers too.
This is a command Jesus asks of me and you.

As the body of Christ... we must
serve one another.
Reaching out to the widows
 and the single mother.

We must see that their needs get
our undivided attention.
Even though, at times,
it's a difficult situation.

We must act quickly and
boldly take a stand.
Reaching out to the widows and single
 mothers as Christ commands!

Theres Something I need To Tell You

There's something you need to know,
But how to tell you, I haven't a clue
You need to before you go
If I don't tell you I know I'll feel blue.

It's only three little words!
I could tie the message to a pigeon,
But I'm scared of birds.
It's only three little words!

So here it is, the message I've got for you.
I don't think I've told you this before,
And I know I have to, before it's too late,
To say three little words, takes so much courage.

You've always been there for me, and
I suppose what I have to tell you is,
You're my mum, you love me with all your heart,
The three little words this poems is saying is
"I love you"

A Mother

A mother is one who lends a ear no matter how old you are.
They try to catch each tear no matter how near or far.
They lend a hand when all alone.
And stand by your side whether home or gone.
She shares the same sorrow and joy,
no matter if she has a girl or boy.
She shares laughter and pain,
even though there's nothing to gain.
They never turn their backs or shrug a shoulder,
no matter how silly the problem or if the child is older.
They open their whole heart to any child.
For this reason a Mom makes a Mother.

Kyle (Mrs. Bodners Poem)

“There is no one to blame
No one to blame. . .” I used to; sometimes I still do,
Whisper these words over and over
On nights like this endless eve
Telling myself, telling myself

The night is silent and still
Like the moon and the stars
The very heavens are quiet tonight
Quiet like his soul through these leaves
Do they know?
The stars I mean
Do they know of the chasm across my heart?
Can they see the rent through my soul?
And do the stars
Do you cry out at night in frustration, horrible sadness?
Do you scream out your soul?
Because my friend, her son is dead tonight
Do you hear me do you care?
That his mother sits alone
Crooning softly holding his empty shirt
Like she holds the memories
Of his smiling face
His laughter

Does any of this matter to you
As you sit there gazing down at me, at her, at us?
And when his light vanished from our lives
Did you notice?
Did you notice his light missing from the universe?
Did you feel it like I do, like she does, we do
Like his mother does, always will
Like emptiness inside her womb
The sudden and irrevocable gulf inside our lives
Did you feel the hole
My friend, her son
His life
Left behind

There is no one to blame no one
For the death of my friend
So why do I blame myself?

Why do you?
Why do you wonder once more all over again?
What more you could have done
Why do I?
I know why, I know, I do
I do

I love my friend
I miss you
She does, we do

FUNERAL

It was so beautiful a morning
when I heard her over say
that she'd pull out my sundays best
because someone's passed away
so we hurried to the chapel
that was down on fourth and main
she seemed to have a peaceful smile
but eyes that filled with pain
I asked my mother many times
Who was the friend that died
Dont think she ever heard me
But I could swear I heard her cry
We walked through friends and family
as we made our way within
greeted by a man in white
forgiving all our sins
I barely even noticed
All the roses near our feet
Laid out to spell the name
Of someone missing in their seat
As the preacher started praying
 we all stood holding hands
Waiting on the row before
To pass the casket stand
Then the man in white so proudly
Helped my mother from her knees,
Showed me the way to heaven
because that friend that died was me....

' Dissertation On Beauty ... '

If Aiming For Beauty
Pretty, Is Nice
But Plain Vanity
Is A Venal-Vice

Inner Beauty: Is A Necessity
Outer Beauty: (Maybe) Superficiality
Outer Beauty: May Impress Memory
But Inner Beauty: Lasts An Eternity

Now, As A Teen
I Did Preen
 Too Much Esteem
 Oldest, Sister Seen …

So, As A Teen, I Was Told
Advice To Shape- Mold
Words: Worthy-Gold
Listen: Behold …

“You Are Pretty, Yes It’s True
But Just Wait A Minute or Maybe Two
All In Time and Life’s View
Will Come Someone … Prettier Than You

So, Don’t Be A Victim-in-Error
Like The Queen, due to Snow White and A Mirror
Of Course, There’ll Be Somebody Fairer
So, Don’t Be A Silly-Comparer …

… ‘Cause, The Prettiest Person
Is Ugly To Someone
And The Ugliest Person
Looks Good To Somebody, Hon …

Lovely, Is As Lovely Do …
Be A Portrait and Not Just Surface-Cute
Be A Shame, If Someone Spends Time With You
And Sees, Ain’t Nothing Else, Or Nothin’ New

‘Cause I’ve Seen People
Who Were ‘Knock-Outs’ ! …
That is, Until
They Opened Their Mouths

And Revealed Hostility
In Hearts
Made Attraction-Desirability
… Depart

See: Mean and Envy
And A Barb-Wire Tongue
And Harm and Dumb …
Starts When Young

So, Strive To Be Kind
A Gentle Heart-Smile
Clean and Sweet
And Your Own-Love-Style

… Also Godly Fear
And Inner Beauty Will Appear
Your Outer Beauty Will Be Clear …”
… My Stunning Sister, I Still Hear …

“Beauty … Is In The Eye Of The Beholder”
Especially True … As We Grow Older

My Mother

My origin, my matriarch, my mother, my queen
My prime paradigm of an amicable human being

My mentor, my supporter, my companion, my friend
My forever confidante I can always depend

My thanks to you for your love so unconditional
And for teaching me the power of love, value and principle

My absolute bona fide blessing like no other
Is having the honor of calling you “my mother”!

not forgotten

life taken so suddenly... and painfully so,
no time to satisfy desires of togetherness.
happiness to unexpected fear, emotions flow...
remorse , love , compassion, desolateness.

her words haunt my memory , " i never thought
this year would come to this ." i sat , staring
into her eyes , nearly motionless ... distraught .
suffering of pain ...... my heart tearing.

external beauty fading by loss of hair and weight.
bones deteriorating quickly. everyday abilities ...gone.
worries of what's to come. my father , her soulmate ,
by her side ... august 10th..she's taken at dawn.

to this day , it still doesn't seem real . i
find myself expecting to be greeted by her whenever
i return 'home' . and although i have told her goodbye ,
she shall remain in my life forever.

my dad , my brother and i were all with her as she passed....

                                         ....we all miss her dearly.

Jordon

Send me an Angel for me to hold,
One with wings and a halo of gold.

Send me that precious gift I long for,
A smile so sweet and eyes to adore.

Send him here for me to cherish,
Make him kind, loyal and garish.

Send him here with love and grace,
A child whose unique style I'll embrace.

Send me the patience to be a mother,
Hoping he'll love us and his brother.

Not a typical family is what we are,
But we could be much worse by far.

Jordon is the answer to my prayers,
A big brother, for Chris, who truly cares.

Love is what we have to give,
Without my son I could not live.

Thank you God, you've done what I asked.
As a good mother, please tell me did I pass?

ON MY OWN

Here I am sitting down and on my face is a long, long frown.
I wish I could go to another part of town
and find me a guy that's not a clown.
I have a mother who lives so near,
but does she visit?
No because she doesn't care.
I have a father who wouldn't even bother,
to call his daughter,
he would never know if I was murdered and slaughtered.
I have a boyfriend who is so immature,
but his ignorance I try to ignore,
how he needs to learn so much more,
he swears that he's so hard core,
but the streets is all he knows and nothing more.
I need a man and not a boy,
one who'll pick up the news paper before a toy.
He's a boy inside and out;
"it's over" are the words I wish to shout.
My best friend is special in many ways
she could go on lieing for days and days,
I think it's time we got some space
before I end up punching her dead in her face.
I have only one person who truly cares,
but she is no longer physically here.
Her words of wisdom are all I hear
and she's the only one i'de allow to see me shed a tear,
because only she can comfort me when i'm full of fear.
I will try to get through this, I will win this battle.
My heart and mind will unite
and together we shall win this fight,
I will try to get through this with all my might
even if i'm full of fright.
Walking through the dark,GOD will help me
and shed his light.

Fly over me

Fly over me when you see me fall
run to my side when your name you
hear me call. Not to much to ask for
the sympathy of your hand not to much
to ask for your arms to help me stand
you cared so much for a world you
left behind but i cant seem to smile
at a world so unkind you said you would
never leave me an those words i took
to heart but as the days grow long an
my heart grows cold i can see we will
always be apart
one day for sure we will be together
in a world so perfect we can promise
forever
until that day i hope you can see that
you are the angel i need to fly over me

Grandmother

You stood by me through it all,
You saw me stumble,
YOu saw me fall,
You picked me up and held me tight,
You washed away my tears and fears,
You walked by me through the years,
YOu were there when the tears came,
You were opened your arms once again,
You showed me love, you showed me strength,
You did for me at great lengths,

What I treasure most of all,
Is your love through it all,
Your beautiful face,
Your big green eyes,
Your heart of gold eternal size,
I miss your smile when I'm away,
I think of you each and every day,
My love for you will never die,
YOu are the apple of my eye,

Blood on Emeralds

The blood of Emeralds
In Northern Ireland's streets
Where sides detest
Victims they seek

Religious divide
Neighbours slain
For the life of me
What to gain

These troubled times
Historic sores
Deep rooted pasts
Now to the fore

IRA
UDA
Many guns came out to play
Both sides fell, as they murderously slay
During the week, even Sundays

The Belfast agreement of 1998
This Land of Emeralds, in peaceful state
Neighbours safe to talk again
Never allow the blood, on the Emeralds stain

" Dedicated to all Ireland - The Emerald Isle "

My Best Friend

One I love
One I see all the time
One I care for
One that is sweet as and white beautiful dove
One that I can count on
One that stays on my mind
One that will never will put me out her door
The one I love
Is you, you MOMMY
I loved you every since I was in your tommy
Every since the first time, I saw your cat-green eyes
I always knew to you, I will never tell any lies...

Dreamer's Lot

Could emptiness be the reason I spend my nights
Wide awake, in a quiet restless daze?

I have now become confined by my unconscious thoughts,
Never felt more liberated,
I walk a path that leads me to those memories,
Now nearly faded,
I stroll through that path in the field,
Walking along the river where the low water sits still
A step towards fulfillment, a step towards happiness,
I step and catch up with an old friend
Four years come and passed, now here we stand, at last
Just as I remembered him, age hasn’t done a thing
Time is timeless? A beginning, but no end?
We stroll through that path in the grassy field
Walking along the river where the modest current moves a little
A step towards fulfillment, a step towards happiness,
We step and catch up with an old friend
Eleven years come and passed, and now here we stand, at last
Your son’s journey has come to an end
Time is on our side, its time we didn’t spend
This is my destination,
Rebuilding an old friendship through my recollections
 Building a mother-son relation
Previously missing, now an easy connection
Standing at the end of that path
Where the river passes graciously and its high tide shimmers
Paradise, by the dreamer’s lot

Never thought it could come to such a tragic halt…
I have now become confined by the conscious facts

My Mother My Friend

We bonded when you heard my heartbeat,
It went pitter patter ever so sweet,
You let out a giggle whenever I'd kick-
You dreaded the mornings I made you sick,
9 months long and you had to think-
Am i going to get the blues or pinks?
September 1st came with a bundle of joy-
A little baby girl-
To whirl and twirl
Day by day you watched me grow
A little bit taller from head to toe
You were there when I needed to cry
You were there to help me without a sigh
I became an adult and went on my way
I know I don't listen very well
I like to hide away in my shell
But please believe me when I tell you-
I love you and I'd be lost without you
Because of you I've made it this far
Simply because of your love and care
I feel your pain as if it's my own-
My tears for you inside have grown
I'd do anything to take the pain away...
But all I can do is HOPE and PRAY
That you'll have the strength for another day
And your lovely smile is here to stay
If the clouds move in on you...
Just remember-one plus one is two
That means- Me and You
I LOVE YOU-
You Are My Mother And .......
MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Mum's Job

Are your married, yes, I am?
He asked me, how many children?

I have three and enough for family,
Do you know how many I have?
I don’t know, I have seven kids.
What, I astonished. How old are you?

I am 22; my first partner has two,
And second has three but third one,
Also have two, I am expecting more,
How do you manage all and what it is?

My first girl friend knew that I have one,
But second also knew that I have one.
But nobody knew that I have three,
And I am a father of sevens.

It is my culture, nobody knows a father,
It is a mum’s job, to look after children,
I am quiet smart taking a good benefit,
They afford me, I am in progress.

He was smiling and has a smoke,
I am not as you to die for only one.

Charity

You are my little angel
and I hope you'll always know,
I love you more than life itself.
I've loved watching you grow.
If only I could show you
the way you've changed my world,
You'd see how much you've given me
by being my little girl.
There's nothing you can't tell me.
I'll always understand.
I'll always try to guide you.
I'll always hold your hand.
When you need to reach out for me,
you won't have to reach far.
Cause I will live inside your heart.
I'll be wherever you are.
Remember, my precious Charity,
You are special because you're you.
I wouldn't trade a single day
I spent together with you!

One love Cardel
You were one of my favorite cousins.
I'm going to miss you more than you will ever know.
I'm hurting inside but just don't want to let it show.
How could someone do that to you ?
You were one of many with such beautiful hearts of gold.
It's not the point that you had to go its how you had to go.
One love Cardel...
I hope you're watching from above.
Kiss my baby brother & grandmother and please send up my love
Be good all of you.
One day ill be up there where there's no tears, no fears, and just eternal love!

Dedicated To A Friend

The day my mother died ,
I found a bookmark in her bible placed inside.

It said Lord he’s all I’ve got and I give him to you,
She stood on those words hoping and praying someday they’d come true.

She said I wasn’t bad only I had lost my way,
Night after night coming home drunk to my wife and children but still she would pray.

It took in her eyes what seemed like forever for me to turn around,
But the day it happened she was the happiest mother ever to be found.

So to Christy I dedicate this story of mine,
Keep praying for your children all the time.

God does listen, and He answers those prayers,
Especially from a mother who really cares.

It may take awhile but never give in,
No matter the problem, God can make him whole again.

mom i love you

Although you may have not been there at birth,
You’ve been with me through the so very long walk,
You’ve went through the same amount of hurt,
You were the one, who every day fought,
For what you believed I needed,
You had been the one, who stood in the gap,
The one who always had my back,
And when I was young you never sat back,
You made sure all my needs were met,

Now that I am older,
We go at it,
When others might say I already told her,
He was no good,
But you ignored them only looking at the good,
I may not show how much I care,
How much I need you,
But even now in my life I can only think,
Where would I be now if it wasn’t for you,
And every time I may argue later on my heart sinks,
Not wishing to argue, only wishing to speak,

But now I say from the bottom of my heart,
 I love you very much,
And I hope we never part,

My Shining Star

Glimmering shadow

      shared
            with
                abundance.

Twinkling brilliantly

      with
          twilights
                  gleam.

" Drunkin Tears "

She said he wants to take her baby,
Sitting in the hospital till five am.
Crying her beautiful brown eye's out,
But doctors would pay no attention.
Doctor's said we couldn't go in,
They had to keep her over night.
Feeling so heartbroken seeing her ly there,
Praying to God please let her be alright.
Being so caught up on ecstacy,
Feeling like there's not much i can do.
Feeling helpless that i can't reach out to you,
That i couldn't be by your side to protect you.
I told her don't cry,
   She's a good mother he see's.
That the stuff he's put you through,
The parent you are he can't compete.
We'll fight because what we feel is right,
Were very strong and still surviving.
We love and we love with all our hearts,
We see a problem were quick to recognize it.
We've been through hell and back,
But us women will never give up.
Cause well fight now and we will later,
That's why for us women we have respect and love.
No mama no one said it was easy,
An angel fell out of the sky and named her Elizabeth.
Blessed her with so many talent's,
   Giving her unconditional love within.
A rare and beautiful blessing,
A women who's corazon is as golden as heavens gates.
A women who would give to the whole world,
And not ask to give back what she gives or takes.
An independant strong surviving mother of more then five,
Who can touch your heart with just a lullaby.

Sharing the world to make sure your ok,
Was that shoulder for anyone to cry.
Lent her sympethetic ear to listen,
   Craves to better everyone around.
Successful in everything she does,
Today on that day my angel was found.

If Someone Asks

My father always asked for help,
When he works hard,
When he feels n’t well,
When he wants to finish early.

I always asked to my father,
Can I have a ride?
Can I book holiday site?
Can I enjoy a pope night?

Mum always cares for me,
She cleans my room,
She cooks my taste,
She buys my dress.

I always listen my mum,
When she asked me for sleep,
When she asked me to stop watch,
When she asked me stop noise.

I care for my sister,
When she goes to school,
When she finishes her work,
When she plays in a group.

I care for my brother,
When he asks for pray,
When he asks for play,
When he asks for stay.

Parents objected me to hear,
If someone provokes me for violence,
If someone asks me for disturbance,
If someone admits an offence.

April's Poem

If ever you don’t have Nickle’s to wear
Here’s a little something from someone else who cares.

Just to keep you warm at night
Or if you ever feel a fright.

You’ll always know that you’re loved
For you’re an angel sent from up above.

Hold this to remind you of my love
Bright and everlasting like the stars above.

So, sweet and pleasant dreams good night
Sleep tight, and don’t let the bed bugs bite.

A Best Achivement

IRA; a strong idealogic and separatists,
At last surrender to the democratic values,
Over decades, after a long fight to achieve,
Thousand innocents blood on their name.

When a religion has a fight against a religion,
What a person can achieve in this invisibility,
He can kill himself on the name of a religion,
With a belief God will honour him in heaven.

But God never honoured to anyone,
When Lord Jesus was fighting for justice,
Tarrents hanged him innocently until death,
A miracle was disappeared to punish cruelity.

Lord Mohammad was fighting for justice,
To deliver a better service on the name of God,
But no power came to save innocents,
They were martyred as Hassan and Hussain.

Lord Krishna pretends that a man borns,
For his duty, he has to do that as he did,
Million people were killed in a battle,
As respect for a lady is a story of Mahabharta.

Lord Rama has a fight for his honour,
To defeat King Rawana who was seeking justice,
For his sister she was insulted to cut her nose,
Is Rama respects for ladies as Sita was banished?

Guru Govind Singh when declared a Khalsa,
Society killed his innocent family to stop him,
To establish a religion in a religion’s boundary,
And killed thousands innocently who followed him.

At last they admit that religion can’t survive,
Without a state power and a state power,
Can’t deliver peace without a belief in God,
They also surrender at last to democratic values.

Democracy where a person can enjoy his liberty,
Thousands lost their innocent lives to replace,
A better system to remove dictatorship,
As Iraqi nation is fighting for democracy.

Democracy is a best from for governments,
If they know how to respect and honour a law,
Law is superb in democracy, law fails there,
A system is corrupted, nation has no respect.

All likes peace because peace is only a tool,
That provides sources to develop personality,
To understand a cause of birth to identify him.
Who achieves a best achievement of nature?

The Music Box

The only thing that seems to bring me joy what some might consider a toy
i sit for hours and just stare hoping this beautiful music will transport my
imagenation in to thin air. This music box tells a story of days long been told
history both new and old generations this music box has been past almost like
eyes that have seen the world change. My treasure which will some day bring my
children and their children pleasure, from what i've been told there use to be a
key hidden deep inside this music box which is what makes it so unique. My
great grand mother explain to me that the precious key was used to hide
members of my family and family friends in a secret room when for sure they
would face doom if found by the Gestpo that cold day in June. And when the
coast was clear to calm the fears of the children hiding in the room my great
grand mother would play that music box that i hold dear today. The music box of
mistery tears of centeries hold a special place in my heart what great object the
music box which secrets are forever unlocked.

An Old Woman

Once upon a time there was an old woman
A really old woman I knew well
She had a daughter who was also an old woman
But the oldest only time could tell.

When they were together, whenever, whenever,
The youngest would always say...
You're sure an old woman, an old old woman
Then the eldest would always say...

Now listen here you, you old old woman,
I've lived a many a year,
I've earned my gray hairs, my battle stripes of life
You're catching up, you old woman, ya hear?

The two old women were as close as sisters,
Just as close as any two could be,
The oldest woman is my mother...
And the youngest one is me!

Her happiness

Over a week, she is managing,
Her happiness, her son is coming,
First time from a university,
She was busy to express her Love.

She cleaned his room and furnished,
His likely items, behaved nicely,
As he purchased to enjoy time,
Flowers, books, songs and new portraits.

She was under pressure over years,
I didn’t understand her feelings,
She was so deep in willing to care,
I lost my life, never saw her so closely.

Before a night, she haven’t a sound sleep,
Watching the clock, having a drink,
Went back to bed and started rolling,
I thought not to disturb her, made a cup of tea.

Spent few hours and shared all memories,
Refined stock of sadness and happiness again,
And enjoyed healthy relationship once more,
Heard early music of birds before rising a Sun.

She drove her vehicle, and stood up,
Train was coming an hour late,
But her eyes were running on the lines.
She welcomed her son with tears

The Family Gathering

Three sisters, one brother, and our dear parents too,
Not counting our children, which numbered quite a few.
Prepared the family gathering, our laughter to live on,
All seeming happy and anything but blue.
With tables set for sharing the food of joy and cheer,
Thanks were given to our Lord
For the passing year.
With dinner feast over and another year to soon disappear,
We look around to find we're still together,
As so are very few.
All the family members have just put their hunger to rest,
And with God's blessings, we still have our family nest.
With younger days and years left far, far behind,
We reach for our memories to share,
One more time.
The laughter was heavy and spirits feeling free,
One more gathering, for our family tree.
Our school-day dances, we tried to do,
Listening to old records of,
God knows who.
With our childhood vanished, and many years gone by,
Least we forget the family gatherings,
 We've shared during our lives.

Fenceposts

Barbed wire makes illusive shadows
the sun is going down slowly,
a lazy red spoon
in your corner of the sky
it must be ten degrees
but you've been sitting on that
fencepost
all day
I never asked you questions
I know better when you're holding your hands
like that,
laced together
playing with the rings
your eyebrows are raised,
annoyingly aristocratic
you won't tell me what you've been thinking
decisions, decisions
I smile knowingly,
but stop when you look worried
it could be the cold
but there's a tear on your cheek
it was one year ago,
I brushed it off with my mitten.
You looked at me helplessly
"I'm getting an abortion"

Showdown At the Pizzeria...

Yet another of Tom's True Tales...and not even exaggerated!!

A while back, I guess I was 17 or 18,
And leader of the "Gors",
My friend Barry Bernstein and I
went on a double date,
Little realizing, what would be our fate...

Now Barry's tag was "Noodles the Shiv"
His propensity to wield his gravity knife,
I was a bit more low-keyed, but to
anger me was to invite strife

Now the mother of one of the girls
had dropped us off at the movie,
When the show was over,
and we were feeling groovy,
We stopped at the pizzeria
next door,
Sat at a table and it took no more,
For five greaser's at a table near,
To start making comments
that we could hear...
My hair was a bit long,
but my temper short,
They asked if I was an Indian,
which I doubt they thought,
They laughed at us, it was so sad,
Until somehow I got so mad...

I took off my garrison belt,
It's edges sharpened like razors,
Wrapped it around my hand,
My eyes showing crazes,
I went over to their table,
and challenged them,

"Come on, you faggots!!
You wanna fight?!?!
I'll take you all on, as is my right...

They grew quiet now,
their eyes showed fear,
Thinking I was a madman,
Well, yes, that was clear...

No fear I felt, only rage,
And really hoped,
to challenge me to engage,
But their blood was drained
from their faces,
This guy's insane!!!...
Let's get outta' here,
In speedy paces...

So they left, and I
returned to my seat,
and then our pizza, we did eat

Ten minutes later,
with the mother on her way,
We walked out,
and I gotta say....

Now there were 12 or more,
with bats, chains, and more
Out for our blood, cause
ya can't ignore...
A failed face-down,
such loss of face,
Might as well pack up,
a disgrace to your race.....

The mother's station wagon,
it did approach,
I told Barry to walk slow,
So they knew at most,
They'd be in a fight,
might cost them dear.....
Hurry up, Mom,
they're gettin near...
They still hesitated,
such fear I'd struck,
They weren't about
to push their shakey luck...

Up rolled the car, and we got in,
The mother oblivious
to the great din,
As she started to pull away,
trash cans started,
to fly our way.....

"What's with these kids?"
she wondered aloud,
Not realizing how close,
We'd evaded their crowd...

Sacrifices for Love

I think of my mom everyday.
She always gives me hugs in a special way.
She has told me that whenever I feel lonely and bad, this hug is for when you are sad.
Each day I think of her in a very loving way.
This helps lift my day.
She brings a smile to my face.
She makes me feel special each and everyday.
As the days get longer,
my mother's hugs get stronger.
It makes my body feel warmer,
in the love and comfort of my mama.

His Paradise

I heard my mother speaking to
Me..

From the sky that heaven hidden

His paradise..

An angel was peeping from under

The cloud..

Holding a candle in her right hand

Singing to this child left in this world

Of so much sin..

Her voice sound much like my mother

Sweet and kind the angel spoken to me

Let these words penetrate your mind

Your heart your soul..

Live your life kind and true

Never stray from the true words

And I know you will be with me

In this paradise where you will

Have eternal life..

In the beautiful mystic paradise

That was made for his

Children..

Mother

Mother, Mother how I wonder how you made it this far.
Going through trials and tribulations and having a wreck in a car.
You are such a diamond in my eyes and even when you cry.
I want to tell you it will be alright.
But I know God is holding you tight.
I know your heart is so big and you have love for everyone.
Giving you your flowers right now for what you have done.
So don't think no one cares.
I don't get even when you mess up your hair!
Everyone that comes around appreciates a word from you.
Some hearts are broken, but a word helped them through.
You hand out poems, bibles and all kinds of sorts.
Just to show them God will hold down the fort.
So Mother, Mother I love you so dear.
Mother, Mother can you hear me so clear?
Mother, Mother you are God's child.
Mother, Mother I thank you for being there when I ran wild.
So Mother, Mother I wondered how you made it this far you know!
Praying and shouting was the only way to go.
So may God bless you everyday!
These are just a few words I had to say.

I Love You Mom

Sometimes I hate her so much.
So much I can't stand her.
Sometimes she hates me.
So much she can't stand me.
There are times I want to run away.
I'm sure she feels the same.
She frustrates me.
She makes me mad.
But I'm sure I do the same
Most of all I hate the way,
She loves me
She loves me so much,
That she is strict with me,
That she has to know all about my friends.
All her extra money goes to me.
All her extra time goes to me.
Everything she does is about me.
I don't even deserve any of it.
She is the most amazing person,
She is filled with so much love
I only wish I could be like her
I hope that someday I am
You'll always be my hero
I love you mom.

I love my mom for she is the greatest
as you soon will see
she gave birth to my brothers and my sisters,
but not to me
this does not bother me,
no, it doesn't make one bit a difference
because, you see, at the age of six
my step-father started beating me
for a year i put up with this
and when i could take it no more
my step-mom was there for me
as i sat there and told her and my father
she held me close and rocked me like i was her own daughter
from that day on she was there for me
she raised me as her own
and welcomed me with love into her family
ever since then she has been like a best friend
and i hope our happiness never will end
