A Political Person

A person who feels about others
And speaks on their circumstances
And offers a better suggesions
To improve the damped system
To add fundamentalistic solutions
To delete opportunism aspects
To develop everyone’s share
To approach everyone’s contribution
To maintain progress and prosperity
To build a civil agenda to enjoy
Without any prejudice barrier
For our human dignity and regard
To differenciate humanism and animalism
To learn about patience and respect
To discuss a topic of learning
A natural behaviour and sophisticated
Developing approaches at same time
To recover the positive and negativeness
To establish distinctions of values
To identify a usefull and useless motives
To live with peace and satisfaction
To encourage further preparations
To secure and safe future
For beyond from newborn buddies
To provide good tools to develop
To understand a constructive problems
To dissolve wastage of recycling
To save extra energy for dangers
To refine pregressive thoughts
To share his doubts and gains
For a better carriage
Is known as a political person?
How do you feel to listen others?
Satisfaction is a matter for all.

Bookworm

I'm the ultimate
bookworm
my mother, God Bless her,
taught me the joy
of reading
of writing
of using thought
for something
a little more meaningful
than cars, popularity
money or fame
in books
your mind can travel
there are no barriers
for you
each book adds
another flavor
to your being
another star
to your mind's sky
they are things
of beauty
because you share them
the reader and the author
each merged together
somehow their minds
make more than two

so I have spent
a king's ransom
in the years when
I could afford
to accumulate
these golden treasures
far more rich
than gold or silver

I made the master bedroom
of my current home
a library quite extensive
where my mind can roam
I have so many books
I could not fit them all
but part with one?
never....
for any reason under the sun

I have diaries from the civil war
faded slightly
but still a wonderous mirror
into a time and life
never to return
many other treasures
but books among my best
I could never be
a librarian
little work would
I get done
my eyes would be stuck
inside my charges
and no one could
withdraw a one.

Thank you

Thank you – Zamreen Zarook

Thank you is a sweet word in the nature,
You may be a guy of adventure,
May be you are a person of agriculture,
What matters is your architecture.

Never forget the people, who guided you,
In no degree neglect who were with you,
Don’t ever overlook a creature, who gave a smile to you,
Because, you will meet them above you.

People forget the past due to selfishness,
They have no time to remember their unawareness,
Society, most of the times behave in awfulness,
They will understand when their lives come in to bitterness.

Be a person to thank and remember,
Don’t consider them as December,
Because, you might need them in November,
So, always be as a good subscriber.

Your My Dear Friend

We have been together
treasured joy now for many years
we trust each other with our
emotions, with affection, tears,

Any day when you are sick or hurting
I feel your pain - significant other,
when eighter-one needs attention
we help one another...

These mutual friendly feelings
for assistance, approval, support
form our tight bonds,
usually never broken

Sharing visions, time together
we respect each other,
regardless of shortcomings
I know you, "I love you anyway"

Happy Mother's Day--God's Blessings to all Women--Your Mother and Mine

Your Mother and Mine
Tis Every woman
Whomsoever helps
Any children.. anytime

Looks after them
Fixes and gives
them something to eat
Cleans them up...
to smell sweet

Within these earthly days

Your Mother and Mine
Always spending their time
Taking care of any children..

So Children can go on living

helping with childs needs
Fixing up
their skinned-up knees
helping them
with their broken hearts
Wiping away tears..
helping them cope with fears
Watching them
grow through the years

As there are many women
Within this world.. Care-giving

Even some have children of their own
Some are Grandmothers.. Aunts..

Any Women.. whom gives tender-love
Even women of the neighborhood tis Mothers

All the women whom tend..
to look after any children

bringing compassion with smiles
giving many children.. Love everyday

God's Blessings are giving
within the hearts of many women
Whom choose to be.. for many children
even when they have their own..
These women are tis as I see..
God's Blessings.. of Many Mothers

There are many children
Whom seek so many women out
Whom they choose to call.. them their Mother

Family and Friends

Family, the enemy of our souls wants us to believe
The lie that we are alone
He wants us to believe
That we are treading hopeless road

But the cloud witnesses who urge us on
Tell us another story
The road we tread with light and beauty and fellowship
My friends, we are never alone

Qualities of Health Engendering Women

They see strengths
Not the limitations
These are people who will make you proud of yourself
They will tell you why you’re special
Trust you to the point you have to answer their expectations
They make you better than you normally are
You can be proud of yourself
They respect you
For what you’ve done
Where you’ve come from
They see what you’ve experienced something real
Respect you for your courage
They live by their rules
They do not expect you to follow theirs
They are at peace to themselves
They are not proving anything to you
They are good listeners
Sincere in their interest in you
You feel important
They are available for honest
Genuine discussion
Makes you want to share yourself

If I Had One Wish

So many thoughts come to mind If only I could really go back in time Change or undo my life’s violent and sexual crimes Tell those around me to open their eyes Pay Attention to the signs If only one wish could really rewind Those pedophilic hands of my life-time… Then I stopped and started to think Who would I be if this didn’t happen to me? What of the woman I’d come to be The wisdom I’d come to see And my children who’s lives are abuse free As a result of my past… my history… Now, with eyes wide and mind free Heart pounding, air, LOVE and life in me Blessed with children to change my legacy, Equipped with words and strength to share my story… my poetry I’d wish only to open the eyes of the blind The mouths of the abused and the hearts of our society… I’d make them see… I’d make them see So no other child has to end up like me… Lay

I'm a child again

I’m a child again

I’m a child again and it’s such fun
To kick a ball, and laugh, and run
And walk down to the local park
And being bad, oh, what a lark

I love to watch those colored birds
This always kind of gets me stirred
Their lovely hues, my eyes they daze
These lovely birds do me amaze.

But there is one thing that I do hate
At bath times, fuss I do create
And mum and dad, they get real mad
I suppose I do play up a tad.

And also I do hate that school
With all its daft, and silly rules
But when I write my little stories
That’s when I get my share of glory.

But really, If I had the choice
I’d really like to raise my voice
And tell them ‘I want out of this!!
Being a child gives me no bliss!’

Mother, Forgive Us

Mother,
I used to walk in dark places and know that I was safe.
Because I knew that I loved you.

Mother,
I have abused my brothers and sisters.
I have contaminated your purity with murder.
I have raped your daughters.
I have kidnapped your children.
I have brought your blessed bosom to the brink of destruction.

And now, even when I walk in daylight I do not feel safe.
For now I am aware of what I have been to you.
Worse than a prodigal, I have endeavored to exploit the very mother who nurtures me.
And now that I have worsened whatever imbalance was in you before I arrived,
I endeavor to flee you like a coward through the grace of an oblivious savior.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of water.
I have dreamed a dream of living water.
And in this dream Jesus, my Savior, told me that he was not oblivious.
And in this dream Jesus told me that he was fully aware of my crimes against you.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of fire.
I have dreamed a dream of unquenchable fire.
And in this dream Jesus reminded me that I was sent here to heal you as you taught me of manhood.
And in this dream Jesus told me that if I could not love you, my mother, who I could see, then how could I love my Father in heaven who I could not.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of air.
I have dreamed a dream of whirlwinds.
And in this dream I breathed in the breath of forgiveness and I realized that it was not too late for us.

Mother,
I have dreamed a dream of earth.
And in this dream, Mother Earth, I see you and us together, fighting for our freedom.
Fighting against the delusion that our fates are not eternally intertwined.

Mother earth,
Please forgive us.
For true, we have betrayed you.
But it is not too late.

Mother,
I promise you that as sure as my savior is in heaven we are going to make it.

Mother,
I present myself to you as a living witness.
The Lord has not forsaken us.
For within our DNA is the secret to your healing and the end of our insanity.

Mother,
Thank you for loving and protecting me, even as I raped and wounded you.
And now it is my turn.

“In the name of Jesus, the earth and all of the earth’s inhabitants are one mind, heart, and body. In the name of Jesus, we are one person, one planet, and one purpose. In the name of Jesus, the lion will soon lay down with the lamb and this beautiful sound, this sound of the sacred Gaia will know harmony!!”

I Hate Aunt Floe

NOTE: This poem is a humoruos stab at PMS from a mans point of view

I can see your blood boiling
through the blades I once called eyes,
they were once beautiful like jewels
now they hurt my deep insides.
cutting at my guts
and like a noose on my  lungs;
your words seek like bullets
your mouth like sniper guns.
I’m hit with each inaccuracy…
Being killed by words untrue;
and you even got the nerve
to tell me what you think I do.
But let me get mad
and try to plead my case;
then suddenly the world
is a f--ked up place.
You got tears running down…
What the Hell did I do?
We were just sitting and laughing
I could swear that we were cool.
Oh God…
Oh no…;
I should have seen it…
It’s Aunt Floe…,
This battle can’t be won or reasoned
I think its best I go.
Cause I hate Aunt Floe
and she hate me too;
she sit and talk sh-t
about the gum I chew.
The color of my shirt…,
She say my look is a stair;
She say my best has no worth
And she doesn’t stop there.
I didn’t change
I’ve been the same
these 28 days,
 but now I’m f_ckin A__hole
Aunt Floe gave me that name.
She said get out my face
This aint your home no more,
But I’m more puzzled by
What was said before.
I love you
With her glossy eyes
I knew it was true,
But horribly sly
You see these words
make me the fool.
The one that’s cruel
That a__hole dude,
That sparked the fuel
To this f__kin feud.
But I swear to God
I didn’t start this sh_t,
Why would I give up my love
To live my life like in a pit.
 This is horrible sh_t
Wasted days spent,
On nothing but the worst
I could be bathed in your sent.
You could be laughing
While I’m smiling
But Aunt Floe Won’t let this be,
And the only way to make this right
Is hold my tongue a week.
And that ain’t gone happen
I’m a person too,
Not soft
But I got feelins
and don’t know what to do.
Now its been six days
Unbelievable rage,
She locked herself
In the room
I call it her cage.
I smell a sent in the air
It wasn’t there before,
Now lookin down the hall
I see an open door.
Is this a trap
I’ll guess I’ll see,
If I fall for another
You know that’s dumb ass me.
Curled in the bed
I think I know that girl,
But where’s the hells Aunt Floe
The one that f__ked my world.
She packed up and gone
Didn’t even say good bye,
Just came wit gang of bullsh_t
And vanished in the sky.
Is that you my dear
Can you please come here,
Listen close and crystal clear…
I hate Aunt Floe
 Next time she here
Make sure I’m stocked
with weed and beer.
I love you punk. ?

College Years

Luzerne County Community College
I further my education right there
Being there really increased my knowledge
W-S-F-X was on the air

I was the promotion director there
and I hosted Campus Talk a few times
Associate’s Decree without despair
and having a family more than dimes

back in High School college wasn’t in mind
Working out at sea college wasn’t bad
college did get me ready for the grind
and for a moment my mother was glad

but most of all I learn more poetry
and my writing makes me feel truly free

No turning back

A Mothers Meditation

I taught her better.
I didn’t want this for her
She’s followed my tracks
Look at her, life is ruined
She knows not what she’s done

	The Daughters Disposition

	Wow, what did I do?
I can’t bear the pain she flaunts
	Her disappointment…
Stings… like a swift kick inside
What on earth was I thinking?

A Teen Dad’s Train of Thought

Did I? I didn’t!
It wouldn’t have felt as good…
She took the pill right?
What if, she was with other guys?
What do I tell my parents?

A Planet In Despair

As this planet's caretakers
Just what have we done
To our dear mother earth
For our luxuries and fun

Torturing and killing
This celestial body
Surrounded by stars
Writhing and rotting

Poisons poured down
Atmosphere's throat
With toxic chemicals
The planet we soak

The rapid destruction
Of the ozone layer
At the unmerciful hands
Of nature's true slayer

The one's who steal
And live to destroy
The forests and trees
And nature's true joys

Killing the wildlife
All over the map
Considered mere beasts
Yet the savage is man

We take down their homes
Without second thought
We butcher and slaughter
Vile planet we've wrought

No, life on this earth
Is not just our own
For the taking and raping
We have done all alone

We have only created
A planet in despair
An earth crying out
Do we even care?

Our oceans now filled
With poisonous oil
Spilled by the greed
Of those who toil

For the very last drop
Of our liquid gold
To life in these waters
Our hearts ever cold

Often left entirely soaked
Dripping with damage done
Those that are left to die
In oceans of oil and muck

As the number of animals
At our ever brutal hands
Decline and go extinct
With them diminish our lands

Each and every single day
They struggle to survive
Even the most illiterate
Can read it in their eyes

They are the true victims
Under man's brutal dominion
Who along with us, pay the price
The eventual planet's oblivion

For what man does gain
With all his luxuries
Is mother earth destroyed
The defenseless suffering

Yes, I am a tad disturbed
By man as he still covets
But pay no mind for all I am
Is a disgruntled, middle-aged poet

A Squirrels Tears

How do I describe such distress?
A squirrel sat on a lower limb,
His mother had chased him from the nest.
His heart was broken, in upheaval, a mess.
His home gone. His mother turning her back so new.
Oh what, oh what will he ever do?
Each breath he takes is a mighty gulp,
Then the sound so soulful with every shout.
Cries of pain were so deeply felt,
That every bout rips my heart inside out.
It renders me tearful to hear the sounds flow…
The need to help him drives me so,
How could his mother yield such a blow?
But he is wild and won’t let me help his woe.
A human I’d hold so warm and tight.
I’d build a nest for him if it were right.
But I know he won’t accept my help,
As he cries on and on in his plight.
For an hour he tore my heart to shreds…
Then finally a young squirrel came from another tree, instead.
Together they ran off fulfilling his needs…
His cries stopped. He’d found what he wanted with those pleas…
Now if mankind could only help those in need, with such simplicity.

ENOUGH

I sit and wonder where the line
is drawn when one say enough!,
And i could do nothing but
laugh.
Excuse me, for my untimely
sense of humour.
But Isn't there dignity in
satisfaction? ,if not, where is the
honour?

Our world consumed by supply
and demand tactics.
Its no wonder we all warmed up
drowning our guilt through
statistics.
We pretend to be so oblivious
while our world is being blown
to oblivion.

We dig so deep to find black
and shiny rocks.
We were hooked from the first
excavation like drugs.
And now intoxicated with greed
and lust.
We stumble upon each other
like beasts

we sell our green mother at the
highest prices.
For all the gadgets and inovative
neccessities.
Yet like mother and child
bonded by the cord we murder
her quickly forgetting the
symbiotic relationship.

Enough!, could we ever have
enough.?

Observer

A serpent underneath blue sky,
in shade of man, in twinkle of an eye,
above brick wall, in the structure, at the floor,
venom of white dove; contaminated food, undrinkable water,
misguided youth, pregnant daughter, unfaithful father and hateful son,
mothers do pray while we walk through Babylon;
on teli and in the press, on top shells,
price none the less, in bedroom and at your door..
dawn of a new day seemed to be dark,
after all.

Is it justice or injustice

If i allow a mother to steal food, in order to feed her babies. Does that make me
an angel or criminal? How do we as people not take responsibilty to change our
own destiny?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If i don't take the time to teach this mother to stand, to be self reliant, to have faith,
to face her fears. If i don't teach her compassion and self respect. Does that
make me part of the problem or the solution?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i don't register to vote because i believe the system is broke. How then can i sit
on this mother's jury, with 11 others to deceide if she committed a crime?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If i allow the truth to be silenced by her economics or her up bringing. Am I giving
her an excuse to keep on?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i check hispanic as my race because my other choices demand that i deny my
mother. Does that mean that i disrespect my own people?Does that mean i don't
believer in Dr. King's dream?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If i allow the disrespect of another's faith, from one coming of my own. Does that
mean I have no faith in my own beliefs?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i adopt a child from a a foreign country. Does that make me heartless to the
needs of the here?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If am a solider supporting my family and I must go to war. Does that mean I
support the reasons behind the war?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If am a hard working law abiding citixen . Does that mean that it is none of my
concern how the system punishes criminals of differnt races?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If my child is on life support and my insurance won't cover no more treatment .
Who then has the right to deceide if my child lives or dies?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i justify my wrong doings with excuses of what was done to me and my people.
Will you tell me what that makes me?
For justice is the right of everyone!

Justice is everyone's freedom to think, feel, love, have no limits in what one can
do. Justice is to receive the respect of everyone. Not to be judged for sex, race or
faith. To have equal opportunities for you and I!
To quote Dr. King's words, " Injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere!"
end quote.
For any injustice hurts everyone!

Total Destruction

< Destruction of beautiful mother earth
Will it spin off mantel like head to gawk

For thy Father in our Heaven will stalk
                                    Destruction of beautiful mother earth

Eagle that soars a wolf howling from girth

Wonder how forces existed and talked
                                   Destruction of beautiful mother earth

Retro - The Ever Fashionable Oppression of Women

A modern trimming,
Grin and bear it.
The slap of a buckle,
Reminiscent of the squeeze.
Laces bloodied,
From a prayer of acceptance.
Breathing is optional.

The shove to a corner,
Start early for pattern recognition,
Bind the idea prematurely.
Numbed pain,
Limited motion.
Embrace wind through the long locks,
It's only an illusion of progression.

Desert Floor

As I look out upon the desert floor, its beauty I espy.
A lizard awaits the sun to land for its’ sunning to apply.
A mother quail runs from her hole with 7 chicks in tow.
A comedy of running feet, they are found rarely still at all.

A mother dove nests high above, in a saguaro nestled deep.
A cactus wren finds fruit up high, from a cactus she will eat.
A hawk soars high above it all, seeking a breakfast to enjoy.
As fruit trees abound in every yard, amid varied colored stones.

Geese find lakes and golf course ponds with only minor flights.
But don’t forget the smaller things that crawl within the night
The occasional snake will rear its head to look around or bite.
But in cities they are rare, preferring desert solitude and quiet.

You best be quick or miss it all, no other choice there is, I insert.
We’re not alone within these lands of desert sands and dirt.
In a place most think lost, with no more than destitute emptiness,
Is a place where people and migrating birds seek to live with cactus.

And don’t forget the forests high; with wildlife found that’s rather large.
Where bears and pumas dance each day in some one’s great backyard.
Far away a coyote runs a jackrabbit deep into the hidden earth.
As armadillos move along before found, in the daily heats rebirth.

Don’t be silly some will say… it’s only sand, and dirt, and heat.
But I know it comes with great abundance and multitudes complete.
There are those who know the truth, like you, and of course like me.
Who each day find life, and beautiful sunsets in its magical relief’s.

Statutory Rape 101

Everybody knows that it's against the law for grown men and grown women to date all of the underage boys and girls,. let alone a 14-year-old boy or a 15-year-old girl. The law also states that any adult who tries to have this so-called "intimate sexual relationship" with any of the underage boys and/or girls would likely go to jail for a period of time and upon release, they'll have to be register sex offenders for the rest of their lives. It seems that those teen girls would rather date men in their 20's or 30s than guys their age and those teen boys would rather date women twice their age than girls their age, as well. but luckily, their parents (the mothers and the fathers) are here to prevent these so-called "May-December" relationships from ever happening, especially when they're protecting their teenage offspring from dirt-bags like these would-be pedophiles. But no matter what the parents do, no matter how hard they try, their teen sons and/or daughters, they secretly continuing dating older men/older women, even at night (midnight, 2 am, or 3 in the morning, e.g.). And the next thing everybody knows, their parents, they will have found out about it; thereby finding them in bed with the adults; their parents should make multiple police reports and pud the cradle robbers behind bars for good. Boy this is starting to look like an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (Season 6-Episode 19-Intoxicated featuring Danielle Panabaker) and an episode of "Snapped," especially when Sarah Johnson killed her own parents in cold blood because she was afraid that the late Mr. and Mrs. Alan and Diane Johnson would send this guy name Bruno Santos to prison or have him deported back to Mexico for statutory rape (by way of dating a then-16-year-old girl). There's no way that those teen boys and teen girls are ever going to get into a bunch of serious, intimate relationships with a bunch of would-be cradle-robbing adults. They need to concentrate on their education and they need to be with guys and girls their age. I mean, one teen boy dating a n adult female? One teen girl dating an older man? My God, their parents will be seriously upset about this. Who on Earth would be dumb enough to fall for an older woman or an older man? And if these would-be pedophiles in the form of grown men and women even attempt to rob these teen boys and girls of their innocence and whatnot, the parents are going to have a problem up in here.

In My Community

Our Ancestors fought to the death,
Just so we can live a brighter day,
So before you light up that blunt of meth,
Think about what you’re giving away,
It was a glad day in history when Obama rose to victory,
The first black president was all we knew,
Dark skin is in!
Haven’t you heard?
That even in our community,
You can get burned,
It’s a sad day when people would rather stay home and “Crank That Amber Cole”,
Than get up and run to a poll,
In our community,
Rockin’ Luis V is better than having a college degree,
And teen pregnancy is not only a trend,
But the single motherhood that follows should end,
Young girls learn of a wonderful prince to take them away,
Nothing should change thought their mothers prince didn’t stay,
And as the tears fade away,
She grows stronger every day,
In our community,
Fighting is no longer a word,
You argue with someone and shots are heard,
Girls showing places the sun don’t show,
So how do they expect the community to grow?
Where love is a figment of imagination,
Making a young child question her creation,
Young mothers would rather buy the iPhone 5,
Then satisfy her baby’s cries,
While her new man’s eye,
Wander up another girl’s thighs,
In our community,
Where #team dark skin vs #team light skin,
Makes others not love the skin they’re in,
Love, lust, hate, and trust,
Giving a rose on Valentine’s Day is no longer a must,
Where bad is good and good is bad,
Who would think to see their grandmother sad?
Her hurt and pain,
Shows how our community has lost everything her parents fought to gain.

Emigration comes full circle

I left Ireland in the 80's with my husband and two babies for Holland. In 2003, we
returned so that our children could have an Irish University education. Dublin was
buzzing with life at the time, it was very expensive but we were home. Now in 2011,
my daughter is emigrating, back down the old ancestral path, she is going to Madrid
to teach English there. Our country has collapsed so badly, there is no employment
here so we are exporting our young, educated children by the day. A sad day for me
as my daughter leaves tomorrow. I wrote her this poem.

To Sarah
On the wave of emigration
I want you to know
That I see you, a fellow female
An equal on every level
Not just my daughter
My little pink princess
I see you as a woman
A power within this world
With oceans to offer
A lifetime still to learn
Go to your new life
A teacher in Madrid
Be free and fearless
Spread your wings and fly
Take the opportunities
Shape them to your dreams
You have all the tools
You can use them now.

Your analytic mind
Will help you make good decision
Fair and just rewards will ensue.
Your radiating heart
Will gift you new friendships
Maybe even a new love
All in good time
You will never be alone
Because you have a deep sense of self
This will be fortified
With this new tide
Your feet firmly planted
Will always serve you well
Balancing the ups and downs of Libra
Always true to yourself
Life will be true to you too.

We live in a new age today
This global world is small
As we email and skype
Fly back and forth to visit
We will continue to love
As mother and daughter
Our journeys through life
Shared
Forever together
My love
I will hold you safe
In my heart.

One Billion Rising

Today we rise.

No more hiding in the shadows,

of culture,
creed,
tradition.

No more silent complicity,

defensive arguments,
sickening pretences,
shabby excuses,

for the actions of men,

brutal and coarse and vulgar and obscene and murderous and abusive.

Today, we rise,

as one.

Today the change starts,

with me,
within me.

Today we rise.

My Mama

My Mama she trips out in the moon light
when I’m safely tucked up in bed
she dresses to wow her audience
but I know not of her occupation
when I ask I am greeted by silence
and then “You will understand when you grow up”

My Mama she returns at break of day
before the curtains begin to twitch or draw
she’ll come in exhausted and fix my breakfast
then checking in on me she’ll wake me for school
before she goes off to bed – she’ll see me later
to ask about my day and play

A Mamas kiss, a smile, a hug, warmth, food and a roof
Yet when we go out together people turn
to talk to one another, quietly nodding
Funny looks are cast our way and yet not one shall speak to us
Aged nine in school I find out why
when another child will laugh

“Ya Mama works the streets
lies on her back, watches the sky – to feed ya
-Tis what my Ma said”
It makes me cry
I love my Mama
but this shame hurts

I want to die…

Praising Mother

Our beautiful mother,
Who gave birth to us,
Nurtured us and raised us,
With loving care,
Our companion all our lives,
Father's beautiful wife,
Friend through calm and controversy,
A miracle of kindness,
Taught us right from wrong,
With us during our married years,
Grandmother and great-grandmother,
Godly and religious,
Looking after all her children,
Loved and respected by us all,
I remember her whimsical sense of humour,
She had the patience that passeth understanding,
A tribute to all mothers on this special day,
Happy Mother's Day and God bless you.

A Mother`s Dream

Bella Oh! Bella ......
called her mother
wake up,wake up dear
get ready for school

mother wants her pearl to be successful
she was a manure for Bella
gem like words inspired Bella a lot
got her with strong spirits

took her words and learned well
became a shining star
enjoying a golden life
had power in her hands!

treasuring her mothers words
keeping it as a secret
so to make her children sail over a sea of excellence,
have a fruitful life

Tear in My Heart

My mother never knew what to do with me.
I was an obligation that needed to be.
But I wanted her to love me.
Simply… love… me.
I would do anything to please her.
Wanting her to be proud, I worked hard at everything I did.
But she viewed me as her competition, not wanting to be out done.
Needless to say our relationship wasn’t what I wanted it to be.
I dreamed to have a family of my own to simply… love… me.
I had a daughter who didn’t live.
And my mom said someone like me shouldn’t have kids.
Though she didn’t know about my epilepsy and other problems with my health.
Then my life fell apart with hard times everywhere.
I didn’t show it but hidden…my health wasn’t all that good.
My husband’s diabetes affected his mind. And epilepsy was working on mine.
I ignored that fact. I worked hard as my epilepsy kept tearing every thing apart.
Finally with a hard earned job… Fourteen years later I had a son.
The son I’d always wanted to have.
I was so very proud but was attacked by both health and son, at every turn.
He was wilder than most creating problems everywhere.
He blamed me for everything and everywhere something went wrong.
My health did it again at work as my relationship continued to crumble with my son.
He hated a mother who had to work, had epilepsy, and just wasn’t there for him.
I was slowly dying when he was 12 and I was 52, when finally I was saved.
That night… I met God and he said I had more to be done along the way.
I came back and did every thing I could to help my wayward and unruly son.
But way before I helped him go to college… I knew I had lost my son.
But his best friend needed a mom so I was there for him.
It seems so strange to tell, but as my son moved out… His best friend simply moved in.
And it’s even stranger to tell that…
The son who will occasionally smile at me, is someone else’s son.
He’s my heart-adopted son and has brought my first son closer again.
Jesus was always here and… the tear in my heart is gone.

Birds and bees

21st February 2012
By Sashi Prabhu (zeauoxian)
(Couplet)
Hey mum and dad please do not lowly hum or keep mum,
When by your little one asked “where do babies come from?”

Narrated over and over this metaphorical tale,
Many scoff to tell, be it female or adult male.

Birds are like men and fly as they please,
Bees are like women, dedicated to their queen, to her whims appease.

Bees sit on and pollinate the flowers,
By, buzzing around many and over few hovers.

The birds spread the “seed”,
These to the “gen next” they lead.

This is about birds and bees a short verse,
On a topic, proscribed and taboo which parents surely must never be averse

Bells and Cries

A lovely lady;
Growing inside, a new life.
A man in a tux.

Another bell rings now.
Final grades, balanced college offers,
Off to another adventure.

Damp ground, headstones.
Growing inside, a new life,
Done with their adventures.

Woman's Day

Women's Day

wiping away those tears

of the brutal truths of your past

wiping away those tears

your spirit rises up, far beyond your scars

and your strength resides deep within you

with an unshakeable resolve that shall forever last

...the weakened men whose brute force is so macho and empty

and that has always been in your face

are now nothing but specks of aging, obsolete rust

flitting past you, for you hold it all together

as you always have

rising up firm and strong from being shoved into the dust

...you are a mother, a lover, a daughter, a wife, and a worker ... above all a worker you have been

tying the loose ends together time after time

always there

yet unseen

...a woman you are

of fibre

of courage

of being the bedrock on which we trample

on whose shoulders this world stands

as you continue to work ceaselessly on

with lines on your face

and with raw wounds on your hands

but...

now your time has come

and no longer will you silently bear

the jabs and taunts of men

for now you proudly declare

that a mother am I, a daughter too, a lover and a wife as well

and now the time has come for them to awaken

to the tolling a new bell

...a bell that tolls for you

for you have taken back the pride and dignity that they stripped off you for ages

for now theirs is a lost cause while your battle still defiantly rages

through cities and homes and villages

and in town after nameless town

for now the bell has tolled

and the time has passed for you

to be ever
again
put down

Womb for Sale?

Ever since a little child,
Away from the family he was kept,
His protests were ruled out,
Searching for the reason,he silently wept.

No affection, love or bed time stories for him,
Always sad and dejected, his childhood was grim.
He longed for his mother's love, yearned for her time,
Unfulfilled desire of a little boy, what was his crime?

Away from home to Bangalore he was sent,
In a hostel to live alone,he had no intent.
Though dejected initially, he learnt to live alone,
Study ,work and earn, he soon became a gemstone.

Career enhanced and to Mumbai he came,
Appreciated for work, he rose to fame.
He met a girl and friends they became,
Cupid Struck and in love he was lame.

Happily, they decided to tie the knot,
His neglected childhood, he totally forgot.
Happy in love and enjoying his fame,
Life for him became a successful game.

Then one day his mother called,
All his happiness was suddenly stalled.
She demanded his house and his money,
She dictated ... he abandon his honey.

He fought, protested and decided to abandon her,
She said something that made his eyes blur.

"I hate your dad and your handicapped brother,
And sent you away,so I could join you later,
I made dad pay for your education and so you earn
I gave you birth....so now you have to return"

Ma Dropping It Like Its Hot (Limerick)

Ms. Potter caught her daughter Lollipop
There dancing in the grocer’s parking lot
And scolded her profusely
‘Til someone cranked up “Juicy”…
Ms. Potter stopped and dropped it like it’s hot

Comments:
How soon some forget that they were once young too. If the power of dance is ones
passion it is not the worst vice a child can have, in fact it is good exercise. One

A Sonnet For My Wife On Mother's Day

When we met you were "The Talented Miss Glory"
And I laughed at your little joke.
But over the years I've come to see
The truth that your "title" spoke.

You're a teacher of kids, about...everything
Your students are so blessed.
Some kids have above average educations,
Our kids have the best.

You make everyone feel special
You always put others first
When someone's in need and you can help
You jump right in headfirst.

You rise to every challenge, I'm amazed at what you've endured.
So When it comes to things that describe you, Talented's the word.

A Kaleidoscope

A kaleidoscope, a mixture of colors and light
So hard to describe so hard to write
Just like a life just like mine
Here is mine my time to shine

The colors change just like time
A life goes on to hit its prime
No matter what it keeps on changing
Just like life keeps on arranging

My story begins at age six
When life was suddenly no easy fix
The Kaleidoscope began to turn
And its center began to churn

My father left our family home
He left alone to go and roam
Suddenly the Kaleidoscope went dark
Even now it’s left its mark

It remained unturned for about two years
And the movement became quite severe
My Mother moved away from home
To improve her new teaching career

The shades of blue came into play
As most of my family had passed away
My mother was strong and held my hand
Even though nothing had gone as planned

My family will always be in my heart
Those small blue beads will play their part
At that time I was almost nine
I pretended that I was just fine

The colors changed from blue to red
I went on with almost no dread
At age eleven I moved once more
I moved again to the California core

I spent the next year in shades of green
All the kids were just too mean
I went to Junior and then Senior High
Then it was time to say goodbye

The Kaleidoscope turned and made a painting
My life became very entertaining
That’s when I met you for the first time
My hope and happiness began to climb

But My Father turned my Kaleidoscope for me
And I asked and cried my pitiful plea
On the weekends the kaleidoscope turns black
With nothing there to change it back

There are ups and downs, lights and darks
With many blond moments and smart remarks
My life will always be turning fast
Even so I have time to look back at my past

If I remember one thing it is that
My life was nothing like combat
But I still fought wars of my own
Without them my world would still be unknown

There is nothing quite like a kaleidoscope
It’s a symbol of change and hope
I like to think my life is like this
So look back and reminisce

Look back at your thoughts and dreams
But remember nothing is as it seems
The Kaleidoscope will turn to show your past
What was boring and what was a blast

Mine shows everything you’ve done for me
You showed me how fun life can be
You made my life what it is now
To this day I still wonder how

Thank you for turning my Kaleidoscope
And giving me strength and the power to cope
You made my life a beautiful rainbow
You deserve more than you will ever know

Education is Power

Who is in charge of our children's education?
What happens when parents don't do their job?
When children have no sense of reading, writing,
till they hit that school room head on?

Who is responsible to initiate, ingratiate, the word,
so language is understood from infancy and
not suddenly at five years old when
communication receives the attention it deserves?

Parents stand up and take notice
schools do not provide the only source
You are your child's first teacher
You are the one who gives him voice.

From you he will learn expression
From you he will learn who he is
From you he will learn his roots
Give him your love and attention.

Provide an environment filled with books
A place where reading takes precedence
Instill in him a joy for learning
With gentle hand and loving looks.

Model the love of learning
read on your own or with
till without even knowing
he'll develop a yearning
to know, to explore, to evaluate
all there is and more.

Teen Pregnancy 5: Out-Of-Control Teen Mothers

Those teen moms are and/or will have been up to no good, especially by going to unsupervised parties, doing drugs, and stuff. They had their babies not too long ago, but they continue their out of control ways, including by way of neglecting their own offspring? I mean, who in the world does that kind of stuff? It seems that the parents (thee mothers and/or the fathers) really should've kept their teen daughters locked up in their rooms and on top of all that, those underage girls, they never should've been teen mothers to begin with. On top of all that, those teen girls were supposed to concentrate on their education instead of messing around with those womanizing fiends. There's always a problem with teen girls-turned-teen mothers; they’re always having unprotected sex with multiple guys, drinking alcoholic beverages (vodka, beer, and rum, e.g.), using illegal drugs, and stuff. All teen girls should be ashamed of themselves, not taking care of the ones who’ve brought them into God’s green Earth. The only ones who’re responsible for getting those teen girls pregnant, thereby bringing the infants to this world are those dead-beat teen fathers. It’s their fault. They did this. They brought those kids into this world. What those teen girls should’ve done was to have told their loser boyfriends to use condoms, otherwise they never would’ve gotten pregnant. Not only have those out-of-control teen mothers put their own families at risk with their reckless behaviors, they also put their own children at risk, and it’s got to stop right here, right now! Those teen girls, they shouldn’t be mothers at an early age, let alone 13 or 17 and they definitely shouldn’t be putting their own children in a dangerous environment, thereby being harmed by those cold-blooded gang bangers and/or drug-dealers. The reckless behaviors of all teen mothers will have gotten their own children killed or worse. The employees of Child Protective Services and the local police are going to hear this. Everybody’s seeing multiple life sentences in the future and those teen mothers should not just be stripped of their parenting rights, they should also lose custody of their children. It’s making everybody sick just thinking about it. And if this type of ordeal continues to go on, it’ll lead straight to destruction. All teen guys, use condoms! All teen girls, keep your legs closed! And all teen lovebirds, keep your clothes on! No children until after education is completed and marriage!

CRITERIA OF THE JEWISH CANON 11022011

In the several centuries
Before the coming of Christ
The Jews in Palestine re-examined
Eliminated some of the books

From existing collection
As not in harmony with the Law of Moses as
Of doubtful inspiration
The Pharisees set up four criteria

Which their sacred
Books had to pass
In order to be included
In the revised Jewish Canon

(1)	They had to be in harmony with the Pentateuch (Torah or Law)

(2)	They had to be written before the time of Ezra

(3)	They had to be written in Hebrew

(4)	They had to have been written in Palestine

Memories of Leaf Boats

As I grow older my memories become more veiled and sometimes lost.
But the best are yet to come as I write them down, of that I can’t ignore.
For my most cherished memories I’ll pass down, as the stories continue to stir.

Like the wonder I felt as a child… while sailing leaf boats down a creek.
Where would they end up? Would they find they’d sailed to foreign lands?
Or would they be defeated by the storms as they came rolling in?

Later I was awed by the thought that my future hubby would even talk to me.
We were so very bashful; that we were lucky, that we even came to be.
The trick was we were first friends…then, willing to hold together in the winds.

We became like one little leaf boat fighting together against the storms, again.
Then we became parents trying to raise our children with wonder in their eyes.
So we started by finding a creek where their leaf boats would be near, to find.

Eventually grown, they finally left us, so I sent them poems about those little boats.
Perhaps to help remind them: to start new memories for their brood, coming close.
Maybe even to remind them that life could still bring them wonders, too, once more.

Eventually, we will all sail away in one way or another, to distant shores.
I hope my poems will lead them, to where those wonders can still be found…
They will be able to find them by a creek with leaf boats floating around.

I hope it will bring them memories; again, of the days we held them so close.
And had read to them the stories… I had written for those, I love the most.

Innocent

He was stop at the traffic light
They had him surround
And they put a hand cuff
And he wonders what’s wrong

And said that he is wanted
For what he don’t have a clue
It has to be a mistake
This cant be true

They put him in a line up
Then come in the room and say
The others can leave
But he has to stay

So why she accuse him of this crime
When He never seen her before
The jury says that he’s guilty
And sentence him to 25 years or more

He broke down in court
His mother screams and cried
And today 15 years after
 his mother has died

Then one night while watching TV
He sees there is a new technology
Call DNA testing that can prove
If some one are innocent or guilty

He got a new trial
And his conviction was over turn
15 years of his life was taken
That can never be return

She said she was sorry
But he just walks away
Knowing there’re many innocents
Still in jails today

Yes some times things happens
Why we can never know
And we have to keep believing
Or our minds will surely go

He sits on his gallery alone
As the rain starts falling down
Today he is a free man
Tomorrow a new life began

You'll never know what its means
To have your life taken from you
Confined to a world behind four walls
For crime you didn't do

This poem I write today
Is for the innocents in jails
 Keep hope brothers and sisters
The truth will prevails

Creature

Observing.
Frozen in time,
captivated by this enormous being,
the size of a small car.

Pondering,
his every move.
The way he used his hands;
so child-like.
With all the consciousness of the world,
and graceless coordination.

Aware.
of the visitors,
as they briefly called out for his attention.
Only for a moment,
then they were gone.

Untamed,
in an orderly sham.
He sat there,
in his dark cave.
As if he was waiting for the light to find him.

Perched,
on a boulder,
squatting, and primitive.
Drawing in the dirt with one hand.
Swatting a fly with the other.

Surreal,
His nature,
as he rushed to consume his food.
The females hovered behind him,
watching intently,
like me.
His movement mechanic.
His presence powerful.
He was the king of his domain.

Studying,
his magnificence, I watched.
How smart was he?
Could he feel my presence?
Engulfed in the very essence of all that was him,
I watched.

Wondering,
how he felt, I watched.
Did he think he was still in the womb of Mother Nature?
Or, did he know the iron bars which embrace him now?

Then
it happened;
our eyes met.
He noticed my presence.
His gaze intimidated me,
But I did not look away.
He approached me.
I felt his eyes inspecting my soul.
A chill ran down my back,
I turned behind me,
only to find no other presence there.
When I turned back,
we were face to face.
Separated by the sham,
And a two inch piece of glass.
Just me and him,
the two of us,
and the females hovering behind him.

Wise,
His old eyes spoke to me,
They said
“I am like you.
I love, I feel, I hurt.
I am, like you.”

Sympathetic,
I put my hand on the glass
and with all the
consciousness of the world,
he did the same.
With tears in my eyes,
I smiled.

Then, he pooped in his other hand
and wiped it on the glass.
This was a sign of endearment.
I laughed out loud.
And I swear,
He smiled back.

he carries his newborn child
passengers on the backseat
a widower just cycles
no choice but his bike

sad thoughts of his dead wife
lovingly holding his child
he rides with his fate

Petite Mal Epilepsy: The Perfect Child

I have a disability I’ve had my whole life long.
My memory disappears whenever things go wrong,
My first memory was wondering where and who on earth was I.
And who were all the people that I did espy,
When we moved to our first house, it struck me yet again.
Thank goodness my brother came along on his bike just then.
My mother came outside, and looked familiar so I followed her within.
I actually thought that I was normal, when I was very small.
They took my hand when I went out, so it mattered not at all.
Ingrained habits kept me in the yard, with my friends, and at their knee.
I was such a quiet thoughtful child, they were happy to let me be.
Who am I and where am I, became my quiet refrain.
But I didn’t worry because they always there to call my name.
My parents never caught on, no not once, never at all…
I actually acted like everyone else when I was very small.
I looked normal to others so alone I had to carry on.
Then I went to ballet class, I studied so very hard… for oh so long.
The day of the recital I lost it all in front all where I wanted to belong.
My mother thought it stage fright, and finally took me from the throng.
What good was it doing, she thought, if I did not want to learn the dance?
And then I realized to live my life I’d have to work hard for every chance.
And if I had an argument with a friend, it was over oh so fast.
For the stress made me forget and my life became recast.
So if they didn’t come around for a while I didn’t really care.
Because I would soon forget they had ever even been there.
Eventually they would come back and my memory would come back.
Then off we’d go to play again as I studied how to avoid another attack.
When asked what I wanted to play, I’d smile at them you see…
And they’d be happy as I said, “whatever you want is ok with me.”
But do not think to pity me for my stubbornness is truly limitless.
After 12 and ½ years in college… I became for 30 years, a true Chemist.
I raised a son and held my own in a world that couldn’t understand me.
But with all those bouts of confusion the world still became my cup of tea.
Quiet, stubborn, hiding my pain, and with lots of daily notes…
Lots of time spent studying ways around my problems, I would devote…
My family had no pity, just the charge to get out there with mankind.
And here I am successful at 58, now with poetry on my mind.

Teen Pregnancy 2: Teen Parenting

All teenagers will have become parents at an early age, including the age of 14, after
giving birth to their offspring. It will have affected the lives of teen moms and teen
dads and the lives of their parents. It seems that once they become parents at a young
age, there's no more hanging out with friends, no more going to parties, no more going to
the movies or the mall, no more of any of that stuff. It also seems that their parents'
futures have been altered due to the fact that they were going to become grandparents
early. Everybody also knows that all teen parents can't take care of their babies and go
to school at the same time; it's a total waste of time. All of their parents still don't
understand why all teenagers have to be parents (a teen mother and a teen father) at an
early age, including 13. This is starting to look like a bunch of episodes of "16 &
Pregnant" and "Teen Mom" on MTV. Now that those teenagers are planning to become parents
at an early age, even in high school, they'll be forced to give up their dreams of going
to college, being doctors, being lawyers, or whatever; thereby dropping out of middle
school and/or high school. All of the parents should know that teen parenting is a total
waste of time and it's a heartache for all. No matter what the moms and the dads do, no
matter how hard they try to prevent their teen sons and teen daughters from ever being
parents at an early age, let alone 13 or 15, their futures will have been at stake. It
also seems that when the backs of all parents are turned, those teens start to have
unprotected sex and the next thing everybody knows, those teen boys will have gotten those
teen girls pregnant three (3) days later by those teen boys, and their parents will have
been outraged. There's no way that these teens are going to be parents at an early age,
let alone 16. They need to concentrate on their education and getting their high school
diplomas and/or college degrees. And those teen couples, they should've used condoms and
they should've waited until after they've gotten married. Teen parenting is starting to
make all of their parents sick. It breaks their hearts just thinking about it. All parents
really need to get involved in the lives of their teen sons and teen daughters and prevent
them from being parents at an early age. All teenagers are not to have children until
after their education is finished and their married. Teen pregnancy and teen parenting
must end right now.

Crying or laughing you asked me why

Crying or laughing you asked me why.
Your contest begged me unveil
The naked essence of what made me
Mad as hell at the world, or vexed with you
I hate grandstanding
And posturing for cheap popularity
People without privacy
Who think the world has nothing more to do
Than babysit their fallacy
Cloaked in self righteous songs
Of discord note.
For such a waste of suffering I cry.

And if I laugh
Let me laugh for the mother and the baby playing
Let me laugh with lovers splashing water
Into the eyes
Blinding self until it feels a deeper sight.
And if I laugh
Let me laugh with children playing
Let me discover that you found where we keep
The child in all of us.
Play with your child in you,
Do not over mother it, smother it, control it, pander to it
For children know when they got you by the heart
And they love to play puppeteers.
I always laugh before I kiss a child with tears.

Building your future so bright
This is the least I could do

A Shot In The Dark { Narrative}

helplessly he stumbled
through the door
holding his bloody chest
Mother gazed into
her fourteen year old eyes
and just knew that he was up
to his old antics of gang banging
Yelling and cursing did nothing
to wake this kid up
Mother's tears flooded
like an open gate
she wondered
where she went wrong
raising him
for he had the best
of everything
a home a job an education
anything he wanted
or needed
was right at his fingertips
maybe having only one parent
in the household
or just not enough discipline
now she stands helplessly
over her young sons
lifeless body
lying on the kitchen floor
in a pool of blood
all that she could do now
was to pick up the phone
and call the police
and the morgue

Blacks

It’s like we’re doing them people a favor
Showing them, that we own up to what they say;
Stereo types isn’t the way,
But we as blacks are proving them right..
They believe that we’ll kill eachother before the
Last night,
& all our women
gone fall a victim to the streets,
Weak minded;
Not even having our children anything to eat..
The only good thing we got going for ourself
Is education,
& that aint gone support the whole nation..

Come on nie,
We gotta take stand!
Teach our children how to believe in
Themselves,
Show our mothers that they
Can make it without a man!
Prove to our fathers,
That they’ll regret they
Neglected us!
Tell our brothers the
“Freak” that noise,
& Stop that fuss!
Its like we all against
Eachother,
But it shouldn’t be this way,
We gotta get it together some day;
Them people know what they doing…
Pretending to solve these crimes,
But knowing their using the same line,
Only place they wanna see us is the cemetery,
Hmm..
Or maybe jail?
But if we don’t make there,
Best to believe:
They hoping we on the
High way to hell,
But we gotta prove em’
Wrong,
Its been too long,
Take a stand,
Cause black women don’t need any man,
Children needa believe in themselves,
Fathers should regret the neglect,
& our brothers need to stop the fuss,
I’m trying not to cuss,
But all this frustration just built up
Inside,
Its kinda hard to hide!
Think about it:
Rosa
Parks,
Martin
Luther King,
Malcom X..
& More, fault
For our freedom;
Now we got it,
& we abusing it,
Kinda like our fathers try our mothers,
But that’s a whole other subject,
We gotta get it together
& that’s a bet(:

Love vanished

Seven years have passed
since first I married him
Whence he succombed his bride
Yet when I told him of babe we’d due
it felt our love just withered up and died

For the man he changed,
no, the child we had not planned
Pushed me around until to others ashamed I lied
I’d fallen, or bumped myself again,
backed him up, supported him, everything denied.

When babe was born,
I thought we’d learn to love
Try to make things work together with pride
But now cut off from all my friends in time,
it’s nursing I only now that I must bide.

Although I raise our child
I am so sad, my life has stopped,
when they play up I fret that you will chide
and fear that you’ll know not of when to stop
Frightened, huddled close we rock, we hide.

Once grown up, at school a freedom found,
whilst you’re at work – your daily grind.
Lucky new friend we find to guide
us back to safety relieved, released.
Apart, I know head high that I had tried.

Chores late 70's

Says the child to herself
put the toys upon the shelf
thus when mother comes to see
she will give her praise to me
Get up , get dressed and comb my hair
she'll be sure to look and stare
and as she does stand agape
I'll proceed to clean my nape
with socks and shoes upon my feet
she will surely know I'm neat
Sweep my room and make the bed
I'll have her spinning in the head
flush the toilet , take a bath
it's positive to make her laugh
Clean my plate and wash the dishes
I suppose would fill her wishes
Wash the laundry fold it up
feed the cat and brush the pup
Play outside and wipe my feet
pick up garbage and change the sheet
and supposing I do thus
Do you think she'll stop her fuss

Against Those Who Discourage mOTHER Marian Devotion

O Sweet Father Christ, do these people have Your spirit?
Do they please You in acting like this?
Does it please You, when for fear of displeasing You,
We neglect doing the greatest to please Your Mother? Who’s our mother as well

Does devotion to Your mother, delay devotion to Yourself?
Does she attribute to herself honor we pay her?
Is she a stranger has no connection to You?
Does it displease You when we try to please her?

Do we alienate ourselves from Your love by giving ourselves to honoring her?
Yet my Sweet Master,
Greater learned not discourage to Your holy mother
Even all that I have said were true

Therefore, they’ve been punished for their pride!
Keep me Lord, form their sentiments and practices
Please give me share sentiments of gratitude
Esteem, Respect and Love
You has in regard to Your Holy Mother
The more I imitate her, follow her
The more I may Love and Glorify You

As if up to this point
Still I said nothing in honor of Your holy Mother
'Give me grace to praise You worthily,'
In spite of all her enemies, who are Yours as well
Grant me say loudly with the saints
'Let not that man believe to look for the mercy of Eternal God
Who offends His holy Mother

The Price of Faith 11122011

… WHAT YOUR CHILDREN MIGHT BE PRESERVED UNHARMED WISDOM 19:5

MY FATHER’S FAMILY left Russia in 1917
At the urging of their parish priest
“If you want to keep your children safe in the faith
Go to America!”

German-Speaking Russians
Soon afterward their 13 year old daughter
Margaret had been raised in the Church
The Family continued to trust in God

Today we honor St. Josaphat, patron of the Ukraine
He was a man who loved his country
Loved his Church even more
Speaking courageously about unity with Rome at a time of schism and division
His bold stand eventually cost him his life

St. Josaphat
Like Margaret’s family, reminds us
That trust in God
Is the only source of true safety

A Little Crazy

I went a little crazy tonight,
a little over the edge.
Reading the natal
chart prepared for me
by an astrologist in Poetry
class and it all rang too true,
the good
and the bad
was hard to take
sitting there so alone
without you
without anyone
I began to cry
but not for your return
or theirs,
another path draws me now
and good
or bad
I'll have to see
it through until the bitter end
or until it no longer matters,
until my mother's
creeping, bulging, bursting
tumors take over the body
the breast I nursed
the cancer I imbibed
my own breast barely saved.
What is our goal? the surgeon
said, and I said
Save the breast
and we did.

Now I'm in college,
at my age can you imagine
and I surely have some reading
to do and this higher
education is almost too much
sometimes but I love
it and hate that
I failed to pay attention
for several months and now
no one moves around in my
space except me and
I must have driven away
everyone and thing
has left me now but
I do enjoy my solitude
though not quite enough sometimes.

If the Table Were Turned

You ask of people small things to do
But it seems like it’s so hard for them to do.
You say to yourself, “If the table were turned,
I would not have done this thing to you.”
You find yourself in certain situations,
And you ask individuals for their help.
But you’re left high and dry and all alone,
And once again you are all by yourself.
You know the saying goes,
What goes around comes around the same.
But some of the things that has happened to me,
I would not want those things to happen to anyone else by name.
Sometimes, the way we react,
Others do not understand,
But if the table were turned,
I guarantee you;
You would not find another like me in the land.
We do things to other people,
And you wonder if the table was turned;
Would you get treated the way you should have been,
Or would you end up just getting burned.
I know that we are going to reap, that which we sow,
Our character has to get tested.
And that’s how people would really know;
That if the table were actually turned,
It would show the kind of reaction or blow.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO, OR HOW WOULD YOU REACT, IF THE TABLE WERE TURNED!!!

A Criminal Element

My heart was completely hearted,
My Past was a quicksand, my ancestors,
Died without a drawing to follow up,
Younger generation has no guide lines.

When a person found a search light,
And noted a formula of luxuries,
He wrote it for his younger generation.
Without roots a tree can’t survive.

A nation that has no roots as Dalits,
Are struggling to find out the roots,
Religion, a long rooted path for living.
People want to survive by conversion.

If someone has nothing to learn from past,
Present can’t build a concreted basement,
A life will waste the natural resources and
Future will produce a criminal element.

Reason to Rejoice 11032011

REJOICE WITH ME BECAUSE I HAVE FOUND THE COIN I LOST LUKE 15:9

WHEN MY FRIEND CALLED to tell me the story of how she lost
One of her expensive hearing aids
It sounded similar of the lost coin
Diane described how she had taken care of 5 or 6 errands in a day

During that time she placed her hearing aids in her pocket
When she returned home
One of them was missing
Diane hurried back to all places she had been

Retracting every step she searched for the precious item
Her voice held such amazed joy and gratitude
As she related the moment of actually finding the tiny hearing aid
No wonder Jesus used a story of losing and finding something of value to describe the joy God has over “one sinner who repents

When I hesitate to let go of an old hurt
Avoid repenting of my wrong doings
I hope the memory of my friend’s enthusiastic discovery
Will nudge me to give the Holy One another reason to rejoice

Stress and Pain

One big happy said fairytale
Take the pain and no gain
Take the slights and not retribution
Take it all in without an out.

Exploding from the inside out
In silence, crying, hurting, writhing in pain and misery
Never knowing what it’s like to be just okay
Never knowing what it’s like to have love unconditional

Hated and revered
Don’t show them the pain
They don’t understand,
You are the one that is in wrong.

Take it all
Deal with it
Live with it
It’s your fault he’s like this

You carried him
You made him the way he is.
Deal with the pain and suffering
Deal with the stress and the dirty looks

It’s always your fault
No one else’s
You should know that by now.
Take you punishment and like it

God’s listening but this is his plan
Pain and suffering for those that screw up
No love for those that dare to be of a different mold.
No salvation for the wicked souls of men

Shut it up
Swallow it down
No one cares
No one’s around

No tears will make a difference
No whining will help the cause
No yelling will change people’s minds
No matter what you do you won’t be accepted

So….why try?
Be yourself no one else
If they don’t like to hell with them
To hell with you and your self loathing

Mona Lisa Mother's Day

God's blessings for mothers,
To have their relatives and loved ones near,
The blue sky and the beautiful trees,
The sound of songbirds singing their song,
Friends that keep us company,
The miracles that guide us everyday,
A quiet day of thankfulness,
Many beautiful memories through the years,
Guided by God and the ten commandments.
The miracle of education that enhances our lives.
A church that is harmonious and forever.

Pressing On

She watched the mountain intently
Like a bird who’s nestling of dwelling, complains
Yet, neither will move --
Reality blooms;
A surge of genius
Strikes the hollowed core ~
Worrisome thoughts she shan’t abide…

A mother’s love still strives,
Strong willed fledgling must now -- fly
Search to build, its -- own nest
-- Mother bird soars above the mountain -- mind at rest

Comments:
An elder once said teach them well in the ways they must go… Like a hawk one must keep a
watchful eye for they are still your prizes; you never know when they may come home to
roost again... Or at least visit…
However, if they can't respect the home then its time
For them to fly on their own...

MOMS

Millions of dewdrops greet the dawn,
As hungry of bees buzz the clover,
Dazzling butterflies flutter about,
As moms give love the world over.

Lessons learned at our mother’s knee,
Last a lifetime till we grow older,
Popping up when troubles accrue,
Like a whispering angel on our shoulder.

Gods gives us friends that mean so much,
Children, fathers, sisters and brothers,
Though far, far above all the rest,
No one loves us more than our mothers.

In and out of friendships, jobs and partners,
Our mothers always remain our evening star.
Those who where born to a selfish mom,
Make the rest us realize how lucky we are.

How great life is to have a good mom,
Who reads what we feel but can’t say.
Nothing means as much as her tender touch,
And for all who are without one, “we pray.”

a female pedophiliac

A Female Pedophiliac
Mother’s best friend a shapely woman with a sexy smile
I was fifteen and went to her house with a message-
something about a wedding where mother was cooking-
and she seduced me... Can’t remember it clearly only that
I was trembling by the sight of her nudeness.
She did the rest, the ecstasy and the enormous newness
of pleasure was like a dream come true... we made love
and I died every time in her ravenous encirclement.
When I left her house I was a person bewitched but had
the sense to worry what mother would say by me being so
late, but I told her I had met some friends and we had
gone down to the park feeding the ducks and talking to
the girls... Next time I saw her I went beetroot not sure
if I had had a dream, but when mother went into the kitchen
to make coffee she told me to come back to her house in
the evening...and I did. But someone spoke, when mother
knew she called her a whore and never spoke to her again.
Yet my loins craved her I was a burning flame and we met in
fields and woods... till I had to go to sea as a galley boy.
When I saw again she was quite old was old, perhaps forty five,
and the flame of love had died.

and 'Ladies'

  and 'Ladies' young and old
do you even know
when i go into the grocery store
and how they come all around me
and i
not even paying attention
as they watch me squeeze this and
squeeze that
and they being all that you are
some what more and some few less
and they
take my hand and place it there
and in my hand they squeeze it
they squeeze it harder than they should
but i'm not paying attention
and as i'm thinking about squeezing
that which needs to be squeezed
in my mind i am squeezing it more
and watching some become flushed
there faces grow dark and pink
so many
and so many my head spins around
looking down as i feel
all of that juice run free
through my hands
and all of my critical thinking

Away In The Manger

out in the pasture sits a church
homemade by brothers hands and filled with dirt

given to Mother so it stops her hurt
decorated each Christmas for what's its worth

as Mother lays down the cotton skirt
out comes the angels the manger and baby Jesus without a shirt

next comes her towering soldiers buried into the dirt
holding their swords that really can hurt

strewn lights gazes upon the pasture's dirt
frozen in time like a star that shivers and quirks

Mama's eyes glistens like fireworks bursts
for all her effort and time even when she hurts

as mother kneels in front of her church
she praises baby Jesus for all he's worth

comes in from the cold and winters bursts
gathers the children as they all look at her work

and tells us the story of a Christmas birth
as we sip on hot chocolate and felt the hurt

of how Jesus died for our sins on this earth
as we wiped our tears with our night shirts

I was glad to run out and relight the candles burst
and give baby Jesus one more kiss and fix his grass skirt

All these God does for you

He is never too busy for you
In fact, He 'longs for your prayer'
At any time of day or night
No matter where you are

You have full
Complete, and
Instant access to the Creator
King of all things

He listens to every word you say
He desires conversation
He knows everything
He made you and all that you love

He knows you intimately and only desires for your good
He will share your burdens and struggles
Rejoice with you in your triumphs

Sincerely Yours,

Dear friend ,

The world means nothing.
Its set in flames.
Even worse we roam with cold hearts trying to look the part,
in this guilded age.

This is something I wish not to be a part of.
I no longer want to be another soul endlessly making
contact with sole and pavement.
I'm striving for abatement.

For meaning I've always looked at dictionaries.
For significance we've always looked at actions.
So please do take another look and see what this letter is for.

Our education is supposed to be priceless, yet we can't afford it.
Our outlook on life is supposed to be uplifting , yet our vision is always distorted.
Our struggle is supposed to be significant , than why is it our stories won't be recorded?

Does this not trouble you my friend?
We complain about being second rate citizens yet there are those who don't live
but attempt to survive in their homes that are assigned in third world countries since before birth.

Where is the justice if the hearts are starting to turn into just ice?
Wheres the justice if a benevolent man was robbed of their life?
Where's the justice in this non-sense?
I can't see it . All I see is us bracing for a cruel consequence.

Pardon me if I trouble you with the questions you can't answer.

But i've outweighed the pros and the cons of this situation.
I no longer wish to to be just another number in this logorithm of lies.
I no longer wish to be a variable with no value of his own.
I wish to become the variable that comprehends the absolute value of sincerity.

Real love is that which shows no fear.
Unfortunately I am a coward.
I no longer can love a world that is platinum plated and wishes not to remember
the warmth of a child's smile.

Even the stars wish not to roam on the skies of the falsely lit nights.
Even the moon moans because of how far from her we've drifted.
Even the willos weep when we no longer wish to see them stand and instead
choose them to stand on.

I've outweighed the courage and the fear.
But what I found frightened me further.
What weighed us down the most was indifference.

With that discovery I knew what I had to do.
I must leave and find somewhere where gravity is no longer so heavy.

I know I can't outweigh death for it's a burden that falls on the shoulders of everyone.
I'm truly sorry that i'm a selfish coward
For I have chosen the coward's end.

I wish you goodluck my friend,

Sincerely yours,

The shadow of men

Tears

One tear for him saying he loved her and will be there
One tear for her falling for him and just wanting him near
For him not using a condom..thats one more tear
One tear for each of the 3 months, that passed
One tear from the fear of the pregnancy test she did not pass
One tear for her high school education she watched float away
One tear for her young age of 14 and not knowing any other way
One tear for her suggestion of the situation "getting handled" in a certain way
One tear for his rage as he wanted the baby regardless to stay
One tear for her telling him that it was the best choice
One tear because he didn't let her exercise pro-choice
One tear for her persuading him and agreeing he'll go
One tear because when that day came, where he was, she didn't know
One tear for the pain she endure all by herself
One tear for the blood that stained her panties when she got home
One tear for he never again called her phone
and shed one more tear because she has to cry all of these tears alone
                                                  -Akiyah Francis

(Dedicated to my best friend and myself for the struggle we both had to endure, at least we
did it together)

Life to Live Part 1

I used to think that life was a joke.
When I was 9 I started to smoke.
When I was 11 I began to drink.
But as I got older I began to think
I started thinking about what I wanted to do and what I had to give.
But then I realized I had a long life to live.
At age 13 I started to fight for no good reason.
Thanks to my dad and my anger,
I got kicked out of school for the rest of the season.
Not long after, my mom and my dad were separated,
By this time, my anger had very well escalated.
I was baker-acted for making threats in 1999.
Threatening take everyone’s life, including mine.
I hated it! I hated my life in every way.
I always stayed in the house.
I never wanted to play.
After being home schooled for two years,
It was time to go to High School my dear.
My mother appraised me, she said I would to fine.
Oops! My Bad. I got suspended 22 times.
I got baker acted again and I caught a charge.
A charge that landed me straight behind bars.
I was on probation and violated constantly.
For once the only thing I wanted was to be free.
At age 15 I was in a program locked in a cell.
Oh boy! How fun! I had my 16th Birthday in jail.
It took 11 months and 11 days to get my act straight and learn better ways.
January 16,2004 I was free once again,
To be locked up no more.
3 days after I was 17 and free from being locked down,
My mother tells me I’m off probation now.
Now that I’ve told you what I’ve been through,
Its time for me to tell you about what I plan to do.
This is what I plan to do with my life.
To make good decisions and to do what’s right.
I plan to continue to go to school.
No more days of trying to play cool.
I am who I am not to pretend.
The way I think of it, in my life I need no fake friends.
People think I’m crazy for my plan to succeed.
Its my choice if I want to be a part of the city police.
I want to major in Criminal Justice to become a lawyer or be apart of the law.
I have came a very long way and have left so many people in awe.
People think of me as a misbehaved, disturbed little child.
But look at how far I made it. Even though it took a while.
When I was younger, I was wild.
But to all who doubted me, I hope I made you proud.
See the effort that I chose to give.
And all this was to earn a better life to live.

Cornfields Have Ears

Mother warned
Never make love in a cornfield
For the corn-- has ears
And they just may tell...

Upon hearing this
I laughed and replied mom
They might have ears
But they do not have lips
With which to speak...

Not so fast, Careful daughter said she with a smile
They have husks that are tough
And when shucked the silk and shucks will make you tell

Yeah, I've ran through the fields
Playing hide and seek
The itch form those husks --
Sure did make me shriek...

Ahh… Shucks... I guess you're right Mama
You don't have to worry about me
With great bliss--I promise you this...
I'll never make love in a cornfield.

Comments: The lesson was corny but true to form as I will never make love nor hide in a
field of corn -- ears and all 0;-)

HOW TO KILL A MONSTER

When the monster has arrived home from it daily place of employment,
You simply wait for it to settle into its old worn-out chair.

Then the monster asks for the chilled glass sitting in the refrigerator.

You remove the chilled glass from the refrigerator.

You place the chilled glass on the kitchen counter.

You add a few pieces of ice into the chilled glass.

You finally add half a bottle’s amount of Apricot Brandy
and watch the monster takes its first nightly sip.

You repeat this process Every Two to Three Hours.

You repeat this process Hour by Hour.

You repeat this process Day after Day.

You repeat this process Week after Week.

You repeat this never ending process Year after Year.

And You Repeat this Process for Fifteen And Counting.

And You Wait for the Shut-Down of the Monster’s Liver.

Silence

You want to be a man or a woman of Eternal God
You must pray
To be a man or a woman of prayer
Must make silence a good friend of yours

Silence on the inside
Silence on outside
Silence you will hear the message of Eternal God or Father Christ
Will read, hear and understand with all your heart

Baby Thoughts

            Baby Thoughts

Hugs are babies’ first official language
Followed by triangles, circles, with assorted symbols
Infants pay special attention to white pillows and quilts
Sleep is always on their minds
Flowing over yellow ribbons of light and energy
Babies contemplate squares and rectangles lifted from the fog
They think about animals as fury toys and perceive them thusly
Images come slowly and they focus on shiny things
They feel their tiny fingers and toes to stay in touch
Letters and numbers are foreign to them now
Yet they understand some things about them in their world
Pink and white dreams of billowy clouds bounce by
They think to take this ride a lot
Streams of life with limited visibility color in the blurs
Shapes of things to come take form in these meanderings
They know two mountains warm with riches wait for them
Breasts filled with vitamins and milk
They cling to these mounds for nourishment
They rest their heads and think goo goo gaa gaa
It is the foundation of a doctoral dissertation later in life
While mothers voice flows over them like thick warm honey
Babies think of deeper sleep

Risking Our Necks 11052011

GREET PRISCA AND AQUILA, MY CO-WORKERS IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO RISKED THEIR NECKS FOR MY LIFE ROMANS 16:3-4

PRISCA (ALSO CALLED PRISCILLA) and Aquila
Were first-century lay missionaries who accompanied Paul on his travels
His praise of these two indicates that their dedication was exceptional
I wonder if I am ready to risk my neck for the sake of another

Could I be that other-centered?
These questions lead meto ponder what my motivation
For what I do
How ready I am to tend to those in need

I must constantly consider these things
My society pulls me toward individualism and self self-orientation
Placing others’ concerns before my own
Going the extra mile

Doing without something I enjoy
Allowing myself to be uncomfortable or inconvenienced
These are tiny but significant actions
Enable me to risk my neck for the sake of another

Readings and Gospel
Romans 16:3-9, 22-27
Psalm 145:2-5, 10-11
Luke 16:9-15

Knowledge of Others

She never realized,
What she had inside,
Till she recognized she was a mother.

She loved her own
Plus a few on loan
That she nurtured in place of others.

Are those others to blame?
Should they be ashamed?
I think not wise to aver.

For they have no clue
When they misconstrue
And hold their child in disfavor.

No instructions they show
So love never grows
And their children cease to strive.

But surrogate moms
Stop the time bombs
And help those naive to thrive.

Though they’re never alone
When they teach the unknown
To advance and never surrender.

For matters not age
Of pupil or sage
Nor does it consider the gender.

They lead souls in need
With advice they do seed
And instruct the bewildered to fare.

Hence the child shows love
They were once deprived of
Now living their life so aware.

They now hold a key
In the vast human sea
Thanks to the knowledge of others.

For unwitting wise emit
A mere prose or a quip
Never knowing they helped another.

Young Mother

There is emptiness in my heart, I want to be loved unconditionally and true,
There is no one to hold me or always be here...
A child of my own will ease my fears, I let myself say...
A love of my own flesh and blood, a baby of my very own, one who will love me
No matter what and will be with me always...
Now this life is growing in my young womb,
I am only sixteen and reality has set in....
So many questions I never had before, worries on my mind more and more.
I am so all alone, how could this be?
Where is the father of my child to be?
No money or home for my child and I to go...
I am sad and scared and no one evens knows...
I am his mother, the only way for him to survive,
Now that it's too late I ask myself why?
A child myself, I break down and cry.
I was naive and selfish and too young to understand.
My freedom has been stripped from me and my future is gone,
My baby and I have nothing to rely on...
So I strive to provide all that he needs as I go without so my baby can eat.
I am forced to grow up, my hopes and dreams disappeared, my childhood is only
a memory, I fear...
The love for my child is more than words can say and strong until the end...
But I miss my inner-child, my hopes and dreams, my youth and me...
My only best friend.

Yesterdays News

Everyday and there is another story to be told
Of someone dying other then the old
Because todays headlines
Is yesterdays news
And all over again
It is another mans pain
And the world reads about it all

A little boy with only memories
of his dad laying dead at his feet
Dad walked his son to school
   on them bad streets

A mother and a father
   laying dead in their beds
A stranger shoots them
at close range in the head

Someone needs to know
That you love them right now
Let's spread some of God's love all around

Because tomorrow isn't promised at all
It seems other have no care for a human life at all

Every time you hear the news someone is drying
Listen to the voices that are crying
Of two little girls laying dead on a path one walks on every day
I hope you are listening to the words I say

A sixteen year old
And her father decides that she can drive
A mother toss her only child to the side
Is no longer alive
A father lost his wife
A mother her life
And the world reads about it all

Still a lot of people dying that isn't saved
This isn't something that is on my mind
The bible speaks about it all before the end of time
Family against families killing one another
Fathers, Mothers sisters against brothers

And death has no mercy it passes none of these by
Some of us are only left with tears to cry
Because a father shoot in the back of the head
Trying to protect his family now he is dead

Fire takes a little boys life
Because he runs back into the house
To save his mother, only to be remembered as a hero

Everyday and there is still another story to be told
Of someone dying other then the old
Because todays headlines is yesterdays news
And all over again it is another mans pain
And the world reads about it all

Yesterdays news!

Work And Work In Time

Long ago there lived a mortal
Poor was he and named Morraine
His mother and sister -the only beings
All they lived in a rough terrain.

Morraine sat for days idle
Their existence became thread bare;
His mother tried her words to remove the sequel-
But the poor chap sat seeing day-mares.

The day of disaster came withuot late-
His mother of illness met her fate;
Work and not idleness could set things right;
Was what she said before loosing the worldly fight.

The very words went through like sharp pin-
Morraine realised his committed sin;
"What blunders were those I committed !
Through toils would set up myself", he said.

After days of working hard and good-
Success kissed Morraine's foot;
"Oh! If only had I done it early-
Of illness and for money mother wuld'nt have left so quickly."

Listen to elders --they have the wisdom
Work hard -you will be the king of your kingdom;
And working in time saves losses a lot;
Are the three themes in this poem through the story-subtle and short.

How Do I Thank You?

I was driving by the park yesterday and saw that girl.
She was holding a beer while leaning back on some scroungy guy.
I remember when she was in your class in 5th grade...she's only 16.
Does her mother know this is what she does
mid-day on a Tuesday?

I heard another kid in your class dropped out.
Since when is a 9th grade education enough?
That makes how many that just dropped out...
because they 'don't like it'?

The girl in your 5th hour wasn't there all last week.
She was busy... giving birth.
She's old... considering she's in the 11th grade.
(Compared to the 7th grader that just had a baby 3 months ago.)

I want to scream WAKE UP everytime I see them in town.
The ones wearing the booty-shorts and tiny tank tops.
Who do I thank for my wonderful daughters?
Do I just thank God that I was blessed with you?
How can I thank you for being the young women that you've become?
When I see all that is going on around you...
I'm amazed by your strength.

May Your Words be Gracious
Not Salacious, but Kind
Your Voice be Refined
As You Mirror Your Mind

The Cultivated Mind (Home Grown)

Father and Mother
With golden determination
Focused to open my thoughts
in several ways of revelation --
My manner is... Homegrown
The once green mind still looks back;
at all that has been revealed to its now browned shell…
and with that same determination of gold
I pass down the revelations of old
to my children, as I have been told
The mind should always be
Cultivated to the best of ones abilities....
Its focus should start within the home
That is why I feel blessed
When I tell you my children
Most assuredly -- I am Home Grown.

Author’s Comments:
As a farmer tills the earth and toils to harvest that which he has sown and the wife
prepares the table before him, produced from within the bounty reaped thereof...
Thus, we should take the time to cultivate the minds of our children, to also
acknowledge their surroundings and the people there in.
To stay focused on the blessings at hand, that they not live stagnant lives but to be
productively responsible for the gifts which they each so uniquely possess.
The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

' Dissertation On Beauty ... '

If Aiming For Beauty
Pretty, Is Nice
But Plain Vanity
Is A Venal-Vice

Inner Beauty: Is A Necessity
Outer Beauty: (Maybe) Superficiality
Outer Beauty: May Impress Memory
But Inner Beauty: Lasts An Eternity

Now, As A Teen
I Did Preen
 Too Much Esteem
 Oldest, Sister Seen …

So, As A Teen, I Was Told
Advice To Shape- Mold
Words: Worthy-Gold
Listen: Behold …

“You Are Pretty, Yes It’s True
But Just Wait A Minute or Maybe Two
All In Time and Life’s View
Will Come Someone … Prettier Than You

So, Don’t Be A Victim-in-Error
Like The Queen, due to Snow White and A Mirror
Of Course, There’ll Be Somebody Fairer
So, Don’t Be A Silly-Comparer …

… ‘Cause, The Prettiest Person
Is Ugly To Someone
And The Ugliest Person
Looks Good To Somebody, Hon …

Lovely, Is As Lovely Do …
Be A Portrait and Not Just Surface-Cute
Be A Shame, If Someone Spends Time With You
And Sees, Ain’t Nothing Else, Or Nothin’ New

‘Cause I’ve Seen People
Who Were ‘Knock-Outs’ ! …
That is, Until
They Opened Their Mouths

And Revealed Hostility
In Hearts
Made Attraction-Desirability
… Depart

See: Mean and Envy
And A Barb-Wire Tongue
And Harm and Dumb …
Starts When Young

So, Strive To Be Kind
A Gentle Heart-Smile
Clean and Sweet
And Your Own-Love-Style

… Also Godly Fear
And Inner Beauty Will Appear
Your Outer Beauty Will Be Clear …”
… My Stunning Sister, I Still Hear …

“Beauty … Is In The Eye Of The Beholder”
Especially True … As We Grow Older

Somebody's Daughter

She was a bundle of fear walking down the street
With the memory of yesterday sill fresh in her feet
She remembers her Mother begging her one day
Sweetheart, Please don't let the life carry you away
The whole world awaited so she took a chance
Lost so deeply in the fire of his cold romance
Tonight you'll find her back out on the street
Somebody's daughter is now somebody's meat
Turning tricks for a fix a simple solution
Filling her soul up with pollution
Sometimes in the life miracles are found
As somebody's daughter walks through the town
After walking all night she was tired and sore
As somebody's daughter knocks on the door
Her dad opens the door with the biggest of grins
Wraps her up in his arms and welcomes her in
He promised her later they would talk for awhile
As he tucks her to bed with a big smile
He looked at his baby with a tear in his eye
Went back to his room and proceeded to get high
See for her daddies habit she had to hoe
Thats what addiction does to the soul
Next day she found him dead in his room
Right there beside him, his needle and spoon
Her mother took her home the very next day
No more of her soul will she have to pay
Trading death for freedom a simple solution
As hell gets offered a little more pollution

A Mum's Job

Are your married, yes, I am?
He asked me, how many children?

I have three and enough for family,
Do you know how many I have?
I don’t know, I have seven kids.
What, I astonished. How old are you?

I am 22; my first partner has two,
And second has three but third one,
Also have two, I am expecting more,
How do you manage all and what it is?

My first girl friend knew that I have one,
But second also knew that I have one.
But nobody knew that I have three,
And I am a father of sevens.

It is my culture, nobody knows a father,
It is a mum’s job, to look after children,
I am quiet smart taking a good benefit,
They afford me, I am in progress.

He was smiling and has a smoke,
I am not as you to die for only one.

Under The Bed

Strawberries, Blueberries, Cherries

all sorts of berries under my bed

                  why? why?

                  to make a pie

                  why? why?

             'cause mommy forgot

             that I haven't been fed

before she tucked me into bed.

CHILD OF THE GHETTO

Born a beautiful child with dark brown skin, but my life was rough
                           so where do I begin?
My daddy left me when I was two, I became a Thug what else could
                           I do?
Destined to lose right out the gate, my life was filled with anger and
     	     hate.
My mother did the best she could, but it was really tough in
     	    my neighborhood.
My only role models were Pimps and Thugs, at fourteen years old I
  	     took two slugs.
I decided education was not for me, I never knew what I wanted to
 	     be.
By fifteen I decided to leave home, I was really scared and all
 	     alone.
With no skills how would I survive? I couldn’t get no nine-to-
 	     five!
I started hanging out with the wrong crowd, but robbin’ and stealin’
                          didn’t make me proud.
Drugs and alcohol helped me with my pain, there was never sun-
                          light always rain.
I spent some of my youth incarcerated, Society’s monster was
                         now created.
I began to realize that crime wasn’t paying, I wanted to change you
                         see what I’m saying?
The last time I was released from prison, I knew I had to make the
   	   right decision.
I finished school and got my education, staying out of trouble
                        took lots of dedication.
My mother once said to never let go, just because you were born a
                       “child of the Ghetto.”

Native

A little Bird,
Moved for living,
He had chosen a tree,
When he saw his native man.

He didn’t frightened,
He welcomed him and sang a song,
Tried to fragrant his love,
And danced on the branches.

One day a guest came,
And parked his car under the tree,
When he saw the bird droppings
He stared into the man’s eyes.

He felt insult,
He had decided to cut down the tree,
He didn’t notice,
Baby birds are growing in the nest,

Tree fell down on his mouth,
They cut the branches in pieces,
When a cat saw the little birds,
They were hiding for their life.

A Man was standing in front,
He didn’t stop them,
He provoked her,
Innocents were her taste.

A bird was crying above the shade,
He noticed, a dog, cat and man,
Everyone was dumb and deaf,
No bird came back to sing them a song.

TEACH

Read to your child so their minds
can grow.Turn off the Tv's and the
radio's ; and put a pencil in their
little hand . Teach them to write
their name. Games of learning
can be fun.
A child 's brain is like a sponge.
soaking up the many sessions of
lessons.
Sing the song of ABC'S A through
Z. Don't forget to smile and say cheese!
Give your child verbal praise for a job
well done.
Take some time to play and have
some fun in the sun........
Teaching is a reaching expanding
the mind. There's no time to whine.
Learning is a tool that everybody
can use.

A Best Achivement

IRA; a strong idealogic and separatists,
At last surrender to the democratic values,
Over decades, after a long fight to achieve,
Thousand innocents blood on their name.

When a religion has a fight against a religion,
What a person can achieve in this invisibility,
He can kill himself on the name of a religion,
With a belief God will honour him in heaven.

But God never honoured to anyone,
When Lord Jesus was fighting for justice,
Tarrents hanged him innocently until death,
A miracle was disappeared to punish cruelity.

Lord Mohammad was fighting for justice,
To deliver a better service on the name of God,
But no power came to save innocents,
They were martyred as Hassan and Hussain.

Lord Krishna pretends that a man borns,
For his duty, he has to do that as he did,
Million people were killed in a battle,
As respect for a lady is a story of Mahabharta.

Lord Rama has a fight for his honour,
To defeat King Rawana who was seeking justice,
For his sister she was insulted to cut her nose,
Is Rama respects for ladies as Sita was banished?

Guru Govind Singh when declared a Khalsa,
Society killed his innocent family to stop him,
To establish a religion in a religion’s boundary,
And killed thousands innocently who followed him.

At last they admit that religion can’t survive,
Without a state power and a state power,
Can’t deliver peace without a belief in God,
They also surrender at last to democratic values.

Democracy where a person can enjoy his liberty,
Thousands lost their innocent lives to replace,
A better system to remove dictatorship,
As Iraqi nation is fighting for democracy.

Democracy is a best from for governments,
If they know how to respect and honour a law,
Law is superb in democracy, law fails there,
A system is corrupted, nation has no respect.

All likes peace because peace is only a tool,
That provides sources to develop personality,
To understand a cause of birth to identify him.
Who achieves a best achievement of nature?

I survived/ you helped

Education is the key to life when there’s no reason to be on the corner under street lights. My mind needs elevation to further my level of education and my perseverance to strive further for the best makes me different from the rest. When there’s nothing to do after high school, either be a leader or a fool, I’d rather be a educated sista’ then to just be known as cool. I see my generation struggle everyday because of the drama on top of the drama they make from their own mistakes, but today, for me, god has made a way. I know I can do, I have confidence in myself, but because I’m not perfect, family and friends are a big help. So when I go to school, and my family and friends watch me complete, and know that in life, I accomplished a lot in a leap, Ill know that there’s nothing I can’t defeat.

Perhaps, the first
Responsibility
Emerging after the euphoria
Nesting within
An expectant mother.
Taking
Additional vitamins and
Learning how

Caring for oneself
Actually makes a
Real difference in the health of

One love

In every breath that touches my lips,
I think of only you,
Your face imprinted In mind, In everything I do.
Every time I fall asleep You're always
Been apart all this time.
Every since the Day we prayed I
Knew we were meant to write, In School when I think
Of poetry forever Is what I see. I know I've told you
Many lines, exactly how I feel, but I don't think you
Understand one love for ready Is real now as I sit here
Thinking of you I maintain whence time that thru It all,
Throuout my Life, my love Is unconditional.

Mother's Words

it's a point of interest, at least it is to me,
the power of a mother's utterance
on a child can surely be

my mom, for instance
once told me, when I was but a tot
never eat toadstools, those mushrooms,
cause good for you they're not

so as a result, and up till this very day
the idea of eating mushrooms
and no way will I ever sway
is as close to eating razors
or hornets on the fly
and I wonder how this is
I will wonder till I die

this is but one example
of the power of mom's word
so to mothers out there
I hope you really heard

think out the things you say
measure each with much care
today's casual remark
taken to heart by but a child
can repose for many years
with effects not always mild.

PROGRESS

Acid rain pours down on mother earths' beauty transforming her glorious
wonders into riches unworthy. Yet we'll strive to survive in the aftermath of our
own making for the hunger of progress to power shall not be forsaken.

Her oceans once fruitfully alive, crystal clea and enormously vast are now slowly
diminishing and progressively clouding up fast. Plants of production continue to
pollute as they persistently grow while mother earths' winds prevail to acridly
blow.

Wildlife sanctuaries are politically and slowly being erected while our animals
are being poached and left sadly unprotected. The trees in the forest once
abundant ever reaching for the sky are now being processed and
stripped...literally growing to die.

The air once refreshing, we inhaled deeply within. Now there's lung disease and
cancer battling to win. Vegetation once bountiful filled all the lands but greed,
lust and power had different plans.

Our ozone layer once protected us from the suns' harmful rays... now keeps us
hiding from her warmth for the rest of our days. Yet we continue on in life as is
none of this destruction matters, since advancement is our virtue never to be
shattered.

Progress means revenue and money means power so production resumes as
we proceed to devour, what little there is left of mother earths' treasures as we
voraciously enjoy our own selfish measures.

There will come a day when its all said and done, where we may never see
another rising sun. For progress meant power and that was the key....
Progress may be power but it's a force no longer free....
