The Young Gardener

She is learning young
Pure genteel pleasures of a garden
Amid the fragrant roses and towering lupines
That give the winter pardon.
Sweet feminine echo of her beautiful mother
She holds up her watering can
a tiny version of the other.

Now she mimics to perfection
The sprinkling of flowers
as she giggles with delight
At birds in secret bowers.

She can't wait for the 'morrow
Her duties to employ
She is mother's little helper
And Daddy's little joy

A mother's treasures

A solitary piece the diamond
precious rare gem most treasured
by those lucky enough to hold
Once in possession it is rarely out of grasp
Like the gemstone the mother
requires very specific conditions
in holding fast her (family/) childrens love
Treasured forever in her heart
she will go out of her way
to preen and protect them
holding them dear to her
deep within her maternal safe – the heart
closely guarded by the mind
Her infatuation of all treasures to her
are totally understandable
especially when you think to the complexity
of structure and process taken in creation
Just as from the ‘unbreakable’ in ancient greek
this alletrope of carbon
with strength of bonding between atoms
is representative of that strong love
between mum and child
The maternal being could be compared
to the superlative physical qualities of the stone
Even the characteristic luster
of this gem so prevaient from its ability
to disperse light and colour
compared to the many strengths, roles and qualities
of the mother
seen by the many she deals with daily
A most high pressured job
versus the high pressured temperature
within the Earths mantle
that forms the delightful rock it gives birth to
Infants delight and ignite the forbearer
just as the jewel would dazzle the room
a mother’s love encaptures the magical luster
of those she’s birthed and nothing
stands inbetween this richest of cargo’s

Since First I Saw You

Since first I saw you, it was your eyes,
mesmerizing, your gaze transporting
me to a realm, not of fantasy, real,
where young men go when cupid’s
arrow takes root.

Since first I saw you, it was your lips,
captivating, holding me frozen
in anticipation of our lips brushing
for the first time.

Since first I saw you, it was your voice,
a crescendo, light, invigorating,
each word you speak intensifies
my hearing, enveloping each
note, time ceases as I hang motionless
savoring, memorizing.

Since first I saw you, it was your hair,
long, flowing, gently rising above
your shoulders as a slight breeze
passes through sending waves
of your essence my way.
The sun magnifying each strand,
highlighting the minute
variances of invigorating color,
creating a halo effect, a portrait of
your beauty forever imprinted.

Since first I saw you, It was you,
my love forever more for you,
only you.

A String of Pearls

The amber moon, through window glass
like time itself, looks much the same
Some things have changed, some things remain
Moonlight recalls... wind calls her name

Her silken hair, her porcelain neck
the strand of pearls, a diamond clasp
I find them now, within my hand

With envy now, moonlight comes in
Covetously, it fondles rows
of tiny orbs, which, one by one
are miracles, with moons, within

I hold the pearls within my palm
and think of old Glenn Miller songs
and mother dancing long ago
She wore them like another skin
back, long before my life began

A grain of sand, then pearl becomes
A part of her, .... a part of me

So fragile, weak the thread is bare
as if the sun might gaze too long
a tarried glaze, the string would fray
and pearls would fall and roll away

Perhaps such things meant to be
Each miracle, has just a while
Glenn Miller songs have come and gone
I'll put away the pearls for now
so moon can own the night again

The Moment Of Finality.

A beauty of the finest splendor…captivating
Seizing the rooms attention on the inhale
Now a shrinking shell of her former self
Caught in a chemical coma to ease her pain

Murmuring fate in silences void…foreboding
Her eyes not seeing the milieu’s approach
Those illusory walls protection now ravaged
She stands naked before bereavements eyes

As the nights pass I sit at her bedside…steady
No corollary thought as the clock keeps pace
I allay the fear by a whisper looking for lucidity
While her random gasps for life squeeze within me

Soft regrets for the misery I’ve caused…repentant
Adrift in the words I bellowed in toxic anger
Yearning to drink of the venom washed over you
To share one moment in the clarity of forgiveness

The scent of a spring dawn’s beauty fills the air…mocking
Stroking your hair I stutter out my final goodbye
Ready to be chained to the morose you absolve me
Taking with you my weighted anguish with simple words

Mom opened her eyes one last time and said…I love you too…

Mother Of Light

You started as a droplet inside a shell,
Warm, languid, liquid.
Now that safe harbour,
Has turned you into a sea.
To create you, every wonderful thing I've thought,
Every ray of light I've ever seen,
Was harnessed in that single drop.
To nourish...to divide,
Cell by cell
Pouring forward from me,
Toward my ultimate worth.
I didn't know it,
But until that point,
My world had been flat.
You helped me peek over the edge,
We looked into an unfolding universe,
Then you jumped with me!
A galaxy of light and giggles
Radiated through me,
To get to you.
Spirit and Soul,
Light and Hope.
You are so much more
Than an extension
Of my heart or limb.
I am, because of you.
You are, because of me.
Forever bundled in love,
I get to be your Mother.

Mother Nature's Mistake

Mother Nature’s Mistake

Hills that go on for miles
Pines, oaks and maples reach for the sky
Their leaves casting a cooling shade on a hot summer day
Animals of all kinds dance in the gentle breeze
Flowers fill in the green blanket of meadow grass
Added beauty from a gracious Mother Nature
You sit among this beauty
Glowing in the late evening’s golden sun
Mother Nature watches as her work fades
She sees you and knows that she cannot match your beauty
So she created the night to try and hide you
But your beauty cannot be hidden
You were made to be beautiful
That was Mother Nature’s one mistake
She created one being more beautiful than anything she could create
And for that she should be praised
And thanked for giving you to the world

Mother's Highlights

The highlights in your hair, so familiar
Rays of sunshine, rays of love
I can't remember a time without them
I don't want to remember a time without you.
The smile on your face is genuine,
and Mother, I'll miss it so
The smile of my own, quite similar;
But I want you to know that I love you
Just as much as I know you love me,
So in the next year
In the next two
Please don't forget, ever,
That I really love you.
When I look into the brown of your eyes,
And the soft growing wrinkles in your cheeks,
(yet still that beautiful, youthful glow,
leading people to believe you are my sister)
Brings tears to the blue of my own.
Mother, time is racing faster
Though I'll miss you, I have to do this.
I know in whom I have trusted
I know in whom I'll trust forever.
He looks over us, you taught me that,
He will look over us, forever.
I will miss your tan and freckled arms
Reaching out to me before I walk upstairs,
But for these next years, I have to do this.
For these next years, I will be thinking of you.
In the next year
In the next two
Please don't forget, ever,
That I will always love you.

The Definition Of A Real Woman

(W)- A real woman knows that the wages of sin is death so she is not concerned about the wages of a real man, because money comes and goes like day and night; but true love comes just every blue moon. A real woman isn't loud and doesn't have to be the center of attention. Money is a gold-diggers virtue, while patience is a real woman’s virtue. A real woman is always wary of the image she displays to the world because she knows her children are watching her every move. A real woman’s wisdom comes from the teachings of her elders and the experiences and hardships life brings. A real woman is the wings that help a broken man learn to fly again. When you become the object of a real woman’s affection, winning is the only option.

(O)- A real woman’s main obligation is to better herself, before she attempts to become someone’s better half. A real woman is very obliged with all that God has blessed her with. When a man takes a real woman for granted, she makes up her mind to put him away into oblivion. A real woman is use to jumping hurdles because overcoming obstacles in life keeps her on the right track. A real woman doesn't spend her time worrying if failure is around the corner, because she occupies her freedom chasing her dreams in her most comfortable running shoes. A real woman is a hopeless romantic ready to be wooed with an odyssey of love with a real man by her side.

(M)- A real woman’s presence is magnanimous and captures attention because of the poised and elegant stature of her classy nature. A real woman is like the magnet of ecstasy. All women don't attend college or hold prestigious employment, but for many being the Valedictorian of mothers everywhere is the major of their lives. A real woman respects the art of marriage and believes in monogamy. A real woman’s life is the motion picture of sophistication. The mythology of a woman began within a man’s ribs and ends in the beat of his heart.

(A)- A real woman sticks to her man like glue and never abandons his side. A real woman has the ability to do anything a man can. A real woman has the power to fill the abyss of a man’s pains with joy. A real woman prays with her other half because faith is the key of remaining on one accord. A real woman will amaze you with the way she adapts to changes in her ambiance. A real woman is the architect of her own destiny.

(N) A real woman needs a man to understand and love her for everything she is and for everything she is not because a good support system is a leading factor in longevity within relationships. A real woman is the nexus between love and happiness. When you converse with a real woman you will realize that she is nimble with her every response. No man can ignore the nymph of a real woman, because it is in her D.N.A to be notable.

Hugs

Teenage Girls clad in the latest fashions,
Do it whenever they meet,
Grown men aren't afraid to show some passion,
When their team's comeback is complete,
They can say hello, they can say goodbye,
And anything inbetween,
If you open your arms and crack a smile,
There is nothing that a hug cannot mean.

Grandparents

Grandparents

Grandparents they be two lights
Who may lead to wisdoms door.
For hopefully they've lived their lives
And made that journey to the core
And found the jewel buried there
Beneath the shades of sorrow.
And now these two be living life
No past and no tomorrows.

They be a pool within a desert
Where the grass grows lush and green.
A cool place where the kids drop in
To breath in air that's more serene.
They will be gentle, sweet, but stern
{If the need for this comes up}
But mostly kids look on these folk
To over fill the loving cup.

And when these ancient ones depart
And through the golden gates do stroll
The power that rules these mighty realms
{Once the aids have weighed the soul}
Will send them down as spirit folk
To help folks lives to flow
before they enter Earth again
To gain another chance to grow.

Heart of The Sea

The heart of the sea is a mother's heart
She is the great ancestral mother of all life on the planet
Deep within the mysterious waters of her womb
she conceived and gave birth to the first life form
which evolved into more complex organisms
that live on the land and in the air

She is an essential part of the planet's ecosystem
feeding the clouds which bring rain and snow
that sustain life on the earth
Through tiny ocean plants and photosynthesis
she removes carbon dioxide from the air
and converts it to more than one half of the oxygen
in the earth's atmosphere

She is the great food provider to the planet
having her own internal food chain
with tiny phytoplankton at the lower end
and enormous sharks and whales at the upper end
She feeds creatures from the land and air
that venture to fish in her waters

She is a thing of beauty even in her enraged fury
with massive waves towering over a hundred feet
and the seething white foam of her waters
This has been her action
even before the advent of man on the planet
Man must respect her behaviour
or suffer death and destruction if he does not

She is a thing of beauty in her calm stillness under the setting sun
which lights up the evening sky in its glorious splendour
and paints a glistening beam of light on the water's surface
in line with the sun and surrounds it
with brilliant colours of the rainbow

Love Never Fades

There's a little history to this particular poem. I know I wrote it when I was 11 or 12 years old. I wrote it for my Grandma Dorabel, who is today 90 years old. I also wrote it for my uncle John who had been taking care of her at the time; I didn't want to leave him out so I put on the letter: For Grandma Dee and Uncle John! I wrote this short little poem along with a drawing of a cat and some flowers. However, I actually never sent the picture to her! My parents and I must have forgotten to send! To me that was unacceptable! I thought to myself today when I found the picture, I must send it now! The picture is now on its way to her, so I am happy she will at last receive it.

---------------------------- You can send me a bouquet of flowers, You can order me a box of chocolates, You can buy me a fancy outfit, But flowers don't last, Chocolates eventually disappear, Outfits get out of style, Yet Love never fades, And it's the most precious gift of all

You
first squeezed my finger

A Woman Like a Rose

The rose bud is small and the smell is so sweet
And no other flower in the garden quite so unique

When the petals unfold it makes a beautiful rose
and the fragrance of that flower fills the air

Take the thorns from that beautiful rose
and the beauty can no longer to be found

When the morning dew falls softly on the rose
it's like a tear on a woman's face when she cries

And when a woman's pride is taken away
like the rose her beauty is faded and gone

So never make a woman cry and men be very aware
her beauty may be hidden but the thorn is still there

Grandma

There's not much to say.
I knew her, know some things,
but certainly not all.

I know how little she put up with fools,
how her cooking surpassed so many others',
how simultaneously sweet and hard she could be.
I know about her smoking,
about her jewelry, her faith,
all these I'll hold close to me.

Every single spark, every star,
shines with such a glow, such a marvelous radiance,
that we can't gaze too closely at it,
lest we cause ourselves pain.
And yet, despite ourselves, again and again,
we do;
because it's not within us to resist
the sheer beauty of it all,
of stories and of life.

A bouquet of tulips for you.
We all miss you already, Grandma.
I miss you.
I know Heaven's got you, taking no guff as always,
making sure we're all doing alright.
I love you.
Andrew James (McGillicutty) Sprouse

A Mother Like No OTher

I sing of a special mother
One like no other
One bothered about another

A mother who smiles and care
One who did nothing but share
It is great to know she is always there

When tear drops she brought a toy
Her whispers sparkles unceasing joy
Her love is stronger than the Helen of Troy

You taught me from wrong to right
You taught me the difference between darkness and light
You taught me to recite the Lord’s Prayer day and night

Envelope yourself in a mothers Love
For she is like an angel from above
Never trade her love for the price of a dove

As we celebrate all mothers in a special way
Thank you for your fidelity, even when we went astray
And above all, thank you for what we are today

He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children.
Praise the LORD! Ps 113:9

Angels

On the wings of two angles I was brought into this world…
My mother and father I’ve called them since I first spoke,

To their arms I ran when I first walked…

When my heart was not calm

Their love would come…

When no one believed
They saw what others couldn’t see
When I would cry
With a calm sigh they would smile
And the whole world would stop and the pain would die…
They taught me to not lie…
They taught me to be human…
On the wings of two angels I was brought into this world…
My mother…her beauty puts the stars to shame….
My father…his heart stronger than all the men that walk among us…

I thank my lord for giving me
The biggest treasure on this world,
Love that is clearly out of this world…
Thank you…

Qualities of Health Engendering Women

They see strengths
Not the limitations
These are people who will make you proud of yourself
They will tell you why you’re special
Trust you to the point you have to answer their expectations
They make you better than you normally are
You can be proud of yourself
They respect you
For what you’ve done
Where you’ve come from
They see what you’ve experienced something real
Respect you for your courage
They live by their rules
They do not expect you to follow theirs
They are at peace to themselves
They are not proving anything to you
They are good listeners
Sincere in their interest in you
You feel important
They are available for honest
Genuine discussion
Makes you want to share yourself

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful

WHO AM I BY NAME ALONE

written 10th Aug 2013

I am God's child, first and forever
I am known by many different titles, a daughter
I am a wife
I am a mother
I am a grandmother
I am a poet
I am by several ways, known as a sister
I am an acquaintance
I am a loyal friend
I am a stranger
I am a cousin
I am an Auntie
I am a niece
But who is this person, they all call "Denise?"

She is a child to God
She is a niece
She is a cousin
She is a stranger
She is a loyal friend
She is an acquaintance
She is known to many, a sister
She is a poet
She is a grandmother
She is a mother
She is a wife
She is known as a daughter to many
She is everything, she'd ever dreamed her life to be....
She is happier than she ever imagined possible
SHE IS "DENISE"

Dream Walking

In the small town of Campbell Missouri,
A young girl with lovely brown locks
Sits, having been told she might never walk again
As all aknowledge this belief in town,
A fear swept around,
And many children were kept down

But in the spirit of this child,
Desire to walk snuck over her fears
Perhaps she wished to surprise-
Perhaps she could not stand
The judgmental eyes-but all the same,
She picked herself up, smiled,
And sauntered around the room

Happiness pervaded the house
As the family friend, delighted,
Sang merrily the song,
“Have You Ever Seen a Dream Walking?”

Today, at California Mission Inn,
The same girl, now a woman
Walks her glorious walk
With confidence and grace
She is 91 years old and strong
As song,
Her eyes lighting up as she recalls
She hums the dreamy tune
As I jot down miracles

DEAR MOTHER

DEAR MOTHER

Dear Mother of all
Sweetest mother of all Time
Queen of the world of women
You never aborted me
You raise me with your hard earn
You teach me the way of the righteous
You Bless me with the blessing of your mouth
Who will I praise if not you
Who will I believe if not you
Who will I trust if not you
You that carry me for nine months
You put me to bed on the 17th Day of the Sixth Month of the Glorious Year
You breast feed me till I am fit for the race
You put together your earning for my first birthday
You work under the sun and the rain just for me to be among equals
I understand it is not easy in this part of the world
Yet you gave me a reason to live
And even though I heard I use to be stubborn when I a little kid
Yet your love for me never ceased
Memories fade me not of my past failure
You hold me close to you and whisper to my ear saying
"Foluso The sun still shine, you can still make it"
No wonder I am reaching my goals now because your Sweet words still live in me
Words are not enough to express how I feel
But I have to tell you this Sweet mother
Ain’t a woman alive that can take my mama’s place

Bouquet in mansion
Furnish by the most priceless
Can't outweigh her love

Agrarian harvest
And all the nature's beauty
Can't surpass her heart

She's her children's spouse
A companion to her hobby
...Her caring tranquil

Right way sure her way
Her prayer is excellence
...Can't banish such soul.

Dear Rapunzel

It seems ages since we met over your long, golden hair
an hour glass on the table keeping the meter.

It seems like too many dress up doll days when we played
take me to the river but don’t get our feet wet.

It seems we lost our inner selves painting our faces
painting our nails, singing karaoke at the bars.

Oh, to regain those lost years of our youth, unwrinkled skin
turn back all the pages, like winding gold on a spindle.

Instead we have just leaves, grieves, and grandchildren
with their laser guns, plastic skin and smug attitudes.

They never challenged gamey little midgets with foul intent
they had us to pad them safely with money, love and scent.

Dear Rapunzel, do please let your hair down one more time
and play climb out of the cellar and up the apple tree with me.

Signed Your Dearest Play Mate.

                                                           i need her right now.
                                                            but she's like a bird
                                                      nobody can tie her down.
i wish i had her with me. so i can tell her these things.
and i also wish i could tell my mom, who would be so disapointed in me.
i only wish i could come out and scream to the world.
                                                "I DON'T CARE I'M IN LOVE WITH A GIRL!"
i only wish that my mother could see,
that even though i might be gay, i still want her to love me.
so tonight ill call her, my lover (if that) and fight with her when she ccalls herself fat.
i laugh along with her, and talk about her day.
then my mom will burst through the door crying. then i'll tell her, im gay.

Happy Mother's Days

A mother's holiday should be everyday,
To show you the thanks I wish to repay.

A million word poem could never consist,
Of all that you do - a lifetime of lists.

So Ill keep it short - a miniature report.
To convey my gratitude for all your support.

Preparing this thank-you, builds tears in my eyes.
The bulletproof bond we share never dies.

Countless memories we've made as a pair,
Has given me more than I can compare

Your lessons of chivalry I've cherished so dear.
You've molded my heart to love with no fear.

Your lullaby songs that put me to sleep,
Created a herd of infinite sheep.

Happy Mother's Day Mom, I hope you enjoy.
Much love from your son, your grown baby boy.

- Yours Truly

Nature's Sigh

The Black butterfly waves away her adorations
All she seeks is seclusion, subsuming slave to mortification
The Dear Air is all she can breath, captive of imaginary dreams
The Beacon resonates, but the hope isolates
The Wasteland's silky fingers caressing the virgin's face

So she is now, the covet of the damned
Programmed to every victim's pain
Carrying the weight of every sorrow
Drowning in wrongs she does not know
But paradise is at loss; she must go

Nature sighs after the bite
All my hopes fading
Don't look at me with those sorrowful eyes
How do you know exactly what I'm feeling?
I'm just the ghost flower passing by
And you can hear nature's sigh

Natures Nomenclature

Cool is the air, cool is the sea,
Everything seems splendid, like season of blee.
Being on the banks, how I wonder…
God has created our planet, with no scope of blunder.
Flows with a flow, our flowing river,
Deludes everyone in sunshine, the flow of the silver.
Sings on high notes, a group of lark,
Accompanied by blossom flowers, on branches of the bark.
Mountains touch the widest sky,
Like one’s imagination, with an ambition so high.
Unsteady is my state of mind, trying to flee,
Similar to the wave, moving in the sea.
Around me was everything like the air I breathe,
Now I can only see nature endeavoring death.
Responsible are we, for we spoiled the blend,
The world which is dooming, is by our dirty hand.
There is no other way except praying on our knee,
Oh dear nature! Please guide, as your children are we,
We will take in our hands, to spread the glory of nature,
Oh dear mother! Enlighten our way with your nomenclature.

The soul of the Crab

The soul of the crab

Oh how she hides behind that shell
Lets no one see her feelings
She’s practical in everything
But those feelings have her reeling
She’s sensitive, and hurt easy
And her moods they be so many
And yet she has not one bad bone
Malice, she has not any.

She be the one for queen and country
Digs into history
She’s always loyal to her kin
She loves her family
She’ll protect them with her life
Don’t no one touch her man!!!
She has a brilliant memory
And she’ll get you when she can.

Her mother, she loves very much
But her children more than that
Wherever there be family
That’s where she would be at
And how she loves to entertain
And cook delicious food
And always she will be a mother
In her heart will be her brood

To My Mother on Mother's Day

To My Mother
On Mothers Day

I thought and thought
What gift I can give, to my late mother
On this auspicious Mother’s Day,

A gift for my Mother,
Who passed away from this world,
Many many years back, on Mother’s day.

She must be living in peace,
While living on earth,
She was my inspiration and my precious teacher.

She charmed everyone, who got a chance
To meet her,
By her simplicity and love and selfless devotion.

Her melodious singing and playing of Violin,
Defused the gifts of poetry and writing in me,
Because of you perhaps, O Mother dear.

She taught me the lessons of Music and Poetry,
Of life and its duties, not by taking my classes ever,
But by teaching me and others, what actually was our real duty,

She silently taught, the lessons of kindness and love,
Of facing the ups and down of life,
Without being sad and disturbed.

She taught me to be firm and sturdy in life,
And to never feel forfeited and disturbed,
Even if, success was no where visible.

How great was your greatness, we could not know it earlier,
You gave your precious years to my motherland, O Mother
Sometimes directly fighting for our freedom,

While in your remaining life, you cared and inspired,
Even my father, to not only sacrifice his entire young age,
For the cause of India’s freedom,

But also to write books and create, poetry likes Patradoot,
Which father wrote in Faizabad jail*,
And dedicated it to you, O Mother dear.

Many decades have passed, when this great book,
In Hindi was written by my father,
Depicting the India, as it was around 1932.

O Mother, to day, on this great Mothers Day,
I am dedicating English version of that great epic to you,
So that the world may come to know,

The real life beauty of this great story*,
And the beauty of this gem of a writing of my father,
Which shines once in a blue moon only,
On the horizon of poetry.

Ravindra

Kanpur India 9th May 10

* Story.	Hindi name Patradoot and in English ‘The Messenger’

* Faizabad jail.	My father( 1899-1994) late Dr Amarnath Kapoor devoted almost his entire young life 1920-47 for the cause of India’s freedom struggle, as a follower of Gandhi. During his long imprisonment in Faizabad jail, he wrote ‘the Messenger’ as a unique story in poetry in Hindi & secretly sent it to my mother, The Messenger was published and circulated
in Hindi around 1933-34 with the result, the British rulers confiscated my father’s printing
press for ever and its publications and again put him to jail.

The Pain Of Madame Lionell

Madame Lionell , sitting under a tree ,
asking God , the time of her free ,
the world being so wild ,
showing anger on the lady - who is naked BLIND .

There were none to feel her pain ,
except the neighbors - who thought their gain ,
the new lives then , kicking the world ,
showing anger on the lady who is in the blind world .

She started thinking of all her sins ,
from the ancient times - playing with the teens ,
but she cried on and on - screaming , shouting , and she smiled ! ,
thanking God for that behavior - which seemed her so wild .

The new lives thinking about their cradle ,
for getting those pain and those trouble ,
she thought a while for their father ,
who would think for those tiny heirs - she said "RATHER."

Now , the fearful dark night grew ,
decreasing pain for both the sinew ,
bearing the pain for months well ,
again , thinking for her husband's farewell .

Oh my dear leaving alone ,
can't utter a word for my bones ,
remembering the words which you told ,
"NEVER THINK OF SILVER BUT ONLY GOLD !. "

Now I feel the calmness of my pain ,
feel joyful for my new veins ,
not feeding them with the words of love ,
but their fathers peaceful words of dove!.

The darkness grew more forever ,
the brightness grew for them - for me never ,
she dream t a while - the dilemma of fame ,
" Will my son keep the importance of our name ?"

Silver Strands

The silver strands they hang down low
They catch the sun light and it makes them glow.
The strands look golden in the sunlight
But beautiful, no matter whatever the light.
The snow is outside the strands look quite white
But silver hanging there, in the pale moonlight.
No matter where the strands are
The beauty glows even from a far.
They are silver they are gold, colours they absorb
Wherever they are, they glow like an orb.
Today’s the day the silver strands will be gone
But the beauty beneath them will not be out shone
My mother is having her hair done today
The silver strands will soon be coloured away.
The colour put through will never disguise
The silvery twinkle that moves to her eyes

In My Community

Our Ancestors fought to the death,
Just so we can live a brighter day,
So before you light up that blunt of meth,
Think about what you’re giving away,
It was a glad day in history when Obama rose to victory,
The first black president was all we knew,
Dark skin is in!
Haven’t you heard?
That even in our community,
You can get burned,
It’s a sad day when people would rather stay home and “Crank That Amber Cole”,
Than get up and run to a poll,
In our community,
Rockin’ Luis V is better than having a college degree,
And teen pregnancy is not only a trend,
But the single motherhood that follows should end,
Young girls learn of a wonderful prince to take them away,
Nothing should change thought their mothers prince didn’t stay,
And as the tears fade away,
She grows stronger every day,
In our community,
Fighting is no longer a word,
You argue with someone and shots are heard,
Girls showing places the sun don’t show,
So how do they expect the community to grow?
Where love is a figment of imagination,
Making a young child question her creation,
Young mothers would rather buy the iPhone 5,
Then satisfy her baby’s cries,
While her new man’s eye,
Wander up another girl’s thighs,
In our community,
Where #team dark skin vs #team light skin,
Makes others not love the skin they’re in,
Love, lust, hate, and trust,
Giving a rose on Valentine’s Day is no longer a must,
Where bad is good and good is bad,
Who would think to see their grandmother sad?
Her hurt and pain,
Shows how our community has lost everything her parents fought to gain.

God descends to the earth in the form of a baby,
and fills up the home with loads of happiness

their smile touches the heart, relaxes the mind,

they bring out a mother in a woman and
change them into tender beings.
they have such a magic around them, the sorrow vanishes
and joy prevails in the ambience.
when their tender ,soft hands touch us
its just like lord blessing us.
their smile and innnocence melts even the

soft with people around.
they are the ones who laugh with their hearts and
teach us the value & beauty of life.
they teach us to be always happy and keep worries

L O M L Always

The thought of her smiling gave me faith
From when we were little we bathe
My mother and her mother is best friends
They both took care of us and gifts they send
We pulled each others hair
And she was always quick to dare
When I smiled at her she knew it was no good
She learned to pull me up and she understood
I just wanted her attention and that she gave
She knew it in her heart love was my slave
From when we were a child with full of energy I had my way
She was the one who was my guide and she did not push me away
When I saw her cry one day and her eyes was so sad
I gave her a flower and I smiled at her and made her glad
When some one special leaves her heart
I sat by her and never wanted to depart
She is the love of my life always
She is the one who gave me my hope through out my days
So I gave her my heart and love from within
And I did not make it thin
I stood by her side since I was a child
I gave her my support when we were wild
She knew who I was and I let her go the distance
I did not hate her or give her resistance
My mother and her mother are great friends and their virtue will never end
Because of their love they both trusted us to live our ways to transcend
So my childhood friend was my best friend, and now my wife
She new it from the start that we part of each others life

An ode to the Magnificent Mother

By: Sashi.Prabhu (zeauoxian)
Mother's Day is a celebration honoring mothers and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society.

The moon, the stars, the sunny skies, so beautiful they seem,
All mankind can sense and appreciate what it means,
Their beauty and the beauty of others,
Are in no way a comparison to our mothers.

Mothers are God’s gift to us,
Least appreciated and most worked without a fuss.
Mothers are there to help teach and guide,
And through thick and thin stay by your side.

Mother loves us right from the start,
From the moments she fondly holds us close to her heart.
These moments forever seem to her like only yesterday,
But we all know they were a few eons away.

Mother is there right through our troubles, conflicts and strife,
And every endeavor she undertakes to keep us afloat through pains of life.
Any time in life we can rely on her strong helping hand,
And she is there for you till you have regained the strength, alone to stand.

Mother is one we can lean on,
As deep in her heart she is very strong.
At times it is only mother who can soothe our running tears,
And calm our mind’s lurking shadows of fears.

Mother filled our days with multihued lights,
And put us to bed with lullaby and sweet dreams nights.
And on a foreign land you gave life to me,
And when I was old enough to my wife you set me free.

Whenever I needed you were there with tender care,
For advice and support you were always there.
You taught me right from wrong,
And how to the world whistle my own song.

Mother, I wonder if I could give a diamond to you,
For every tear you shed for me without much ado.
Mother, I wonder if you could accept an emerald from me,
For each truth you made me realize and see.

Mother, I wonder if I could give a ruby to you,
For every midnight coffee you did brew.
Mother, I wonder if I could give a pearl to you,
For every lesson of wisdom you have given me anew.

But I don’t have these and this you are aware,
And all I can offer you is my love devotion and care.
You are so dear to me but yet it took me so long to say,
Have a “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY”.

I know that when you think of me,
A part of you in me you will always see.
Thank you and I Love you Mom,
This is me your first born son

Behold a wonderful being is here
Mind of a lion and heart of saints
Made looking weak but with might so strong
With beauty so serene and exquisite the scene
Created as a guide and companion for men
Created as a creator of other beings
Sacrificing her body and comfort for we
A comforter for the child
And a supporter of man
O' ye mothers of earth
A free gift to even nature itself
Being meek even in moments of stress
What a gift to behold.

Expose of Passion

You ask me now to sum the beauty in sun's eyes
And make of love the distinction that love despise
And all figures come only to my praise of the gift
God gave to Adam, when he unreplenished, adrift
Midst loneliness and impotence, found sleep blessed
To wake and find his rib enclothed with loveliness

Would you call the virgin mother frigid, cold
Who felt God's heat and furnished men his gold
Zeus too often imitate and did not once procreate
Beyond the fiction of the mind. All flesh fornicate
That cannot yield like Mary did to quiver and moan
To bear the first command to all; all pleasures groan.

The stigma then maligns my rib and cuts my breast
For only truth is beauty in all her virgin comeliness
Undemured, undefiled, stained by circumstance, and pure
The heart aches for beauty and found in Eve no cure
Just Mary Magdala, my passion's patient bride
Goddess of the penitent, queen of desire's tide

That like the moon brings sweet glow upon my bed
She copulates with the sun, and trees that naked shed
Themselves, like arthritic Simons, pay in rich spice
To luxuriate in the pleasures of her passion and vice.
What then her breached external form a little stained
The rich stream of heaven kept not disdained.

Measure this then against rebellious Eve, who crave
Man's pleasure but disdained to concieve; the rave
Of her autonomy to be as god, and provoked the earth
To crown an Astarte, Anat, Venus, Aphrodite as worth
To which some like Delilah or Helen made men bow
And worship in wine drenched mud the grovelling sow

Think of it, I never thought my mother panted or sweat
To shed a seed, for her purity repudiated such a threat
That I was concieved by the pleasure that first the pain
Mother is too chaste, and stainlesss all mothers remain
The mind rare permits sister or daughter expansion of gene
And yet unweb the stigma projected unto the queen

And where the stigma sits their lolls the brooding heart
Aflamed, the loins deep ocean longing to break apart
The solid rock that love strike to feed the egg athirst
The tongue languishing to bulge night's breast in verse
The hand to strip the curtain from the flesh, the skin
To meet as one, joy in joy, and love in love enmeshed.

My Mama

My mother is a beautiful woman,
She always holds her head up high,
Even when she is about to cry,
Her strength and beauty is all I see,

She always holds her head up high,
Working so hard to help us get by,
Her strength and beauty is all I see,
I can't explain what she means to me,

Working so hard to help us get by,
Even when she is about to cry,
I can't explain what she means to me,
My mother is a beautiful woman.

 O beautiful woman,
Africa,
 Admirable woman of
the tropic,
 O lustre of the

 Today and ever
 I bask in your warm
delightful bosom!

Black woman, fine
nature’s artwork
From primeval
antiquity;
Well-endowed ‘scape,
heaved backside
Sitting on a vast
plateau
Washed from all
sides by
Lakes, seas and
oceans!

Black beauty,
enrobed in lush
greenery,
Crowned with the

Round her neck and
waist line
Adorned with
precious coral,
Gold, pearl, diamond
and sapphire!

Oko mi, whose
fecundity
Has flourished the

Where faunae find
their natural home
And hominids take

O Mami, let your

I spring up
And my remains form
your dust
On which aliens
would ever tramp
To behold your

My Mo in law

My Mo In law

My Mo in law, she’s ninety five
And wow, she’s looking bright
I see her in that old folk’s home
She looks a real delight
Though she can’t get around much now
She still delights in life
With a smile to all who pass on by
She seems so free from strife

She came out here at twenty nine
To our good sunny land
She worked so hard when she came here
And she made no demands
Milking cows there on the farm
Bringing up three kids
And she got on without a moan
In everything she did.

She helped her husband build two homes
She worked and worked all day
She done each thing she had to do
In a sweet and gentle way
On thinking about my Mo in law
I’d have to tell you this
Old Rosie she’s a mighty bird
You know, she really is.

Sacred Mother Earth- Colors Of Nature

Oh Great Woman of all Nature
Mother of our Divinely blessed, sacred Earth
Your beauty has kissed my lips
with the splendor of your clear, sapphire skies

The golden, moon bathed Sands
  that are gently caressed
by your crystal blue clear flowing rivers
Your gentle rain that ascends from the Heavens above
  to delicately soothe and blend
with tears that flow from the broken hearted

Your moist, emerald green hills
 filled with enchanting, lovely flowers
of every elegant shade and hue
I have beheld the splendid beauty…
of your green weeping willow's gracious bows and limbs
of iridescent greens and golds
that whisper gently in your swaying, languid winds

I have witnessed golden eagles fly so gracious and free
in your pictorial, periwinkle blue skies
I've feasted my eyes on the sublime splendor
of your enchanting, golden harvest moon
as its elegant beauty paints a rose, gold, splendid image
  so deep within my mind

All your violet-blue endless horizons
Your smoky, gray mountains so grand
in the rose blue cool light of dawn
Your chattering bird songs in skies of azure blue
The fragrant scent of amber gold pinecones
in the sparkle of the crystal clear early morning dew

I pay Ode’ to you Great Mother Nature
for every golden ray of sun that warmed my skin
that hangs brilliant and dazzling...
in your glorious skies of cerulean blue

Impression From Grandmother 3x Esther Louise Arbuthnot's Photograph 1876

    TEARS OF AN IRISH GIRL
( Impression From Grandmother 3x Esther Louise Arbuthnot's Photograph 1876)
While the rain is falling gently on the roof it makes the sound
of a time that's long forgotten though it seems to hang around
I can hear you breathing lightly from an Irish dream I've known
it has come to Pennsylvania where you've found me here alone
and I can feel you when you cry.
So far from home, you wonder why,
and it makes me want to die.

All the way from County Down there was a dream you had to find
you were long ago and far away, but always on my mind,
in your photograph your eyes are reaching out perhaps for me,
I can feel you when I see you but I never really see,
what makes you think you have to cry?
You must have known I'd wonder why,
it still makes me want to die.

Can you hear the raindrops falling? County Down's so far away,
or perhaps it's just forgotten, like a dreary Irish day,
I can feel it when you're smiling, and I see it in your eyes
love is gone before you know it, and it's then I realize,
it's made you think you have to cry.
And through it all, not wonder why,
it still makes me want to die.

Prized Possession

Prized Possession

When was it that society and religion
Became so afraid of the sexuality of women

Or was it just men who became afraid

Trapping and turning beauty into pornography
To suit the idealism of a capitalistic
Ideology
Made women its prized possession

There was once spiritual prowess in her nakedness
Once long ago
The symbol of womb and breast
Gave birth to life

And a possession was once the sexual expression
Of both women and men
Connecting
Copulating
In an essence of a spiritual unity
Defined by the pleasure both received
In giving to life

So how did sex become a sin
Dirtied by morals
And then sold in a tin
Of instant readily affordable self gratification
When did your own sexuality
Become a commodity
For them to sale

And poor Eve, lead mankind to ruin
And she alone made responsible for the fall from Eden
So shall she pay the price in cultural centuries
Of Christian and Muslim oppression

Such is the weakness of men
That by muscle alone defends them
Such is the weakness of men
That their God must of course; be a man
Such is the weakness of men
That in the face of beauty
It must be their possession

Such is my contempt of those men
Who cannot comprehend
Where their own lives began
And who’s wives and daughter now exists
In a poor excuse for love and worship
Trapping and turning beauty into pornography
To suit the idealism of a capitalistic
Ideology
Made women its prized possession

The Echo of a Soul

The Echo of a Soul
By Andrew Weeden

In the windswept hills of vibrant green,
Here I sit at your lonely grave.
The bright flower that made my heart beam,
Is the wilted flower I could not save.

From the beginning I did not know,
I was oblivious from the start;
Cancer’s blade cut away your happy glow
And would thrust to pierce my very heart.

Consumed in the darkness of raging anger,
Ten years I stand alone in the rain.
With death no longer a distant stranger;
My only companion in the storm of pain.

Now it seems no one remembers,
But you did not cease to be.
Your spirit still burns in glowing embers
And lives inside the fire in me.

The storm is passing; I finally see its end.
Happiness smiles again and shakes me to my core.
I realize every time I lift my pen
My Grandma speaks once more!

Reflections of your love
Weave tapestries in time.
As a singing mourning dove,
Your words whisper in my mind.

So though you had to go,
You remain in your begotten;
As an echo of a soul,
Gone but not forgotten.

The Gracious Woman

The gracious woman is hated
She is not overrated but such a natural one
Morals and values dictated
Through her trials and tribulations her smiles stun
Family and friends created
Stay optimistic throughout the long run
The woman is so courageous
A strong heart is number one
She seems to be contagious
Her relationships are always undone
Her worthiness is outrageous
To find another is dreadful
To lose her is regretful
A woman of this caliber is so special

The Sea Waves

All waves rise from the sea,
Sons of the mother sea,
Running hard, for her to see,
Pouring heart, for her to see.

Along with kins they see,
Mother, the beauty sea,
Beats for their mother, the sea,
To fathom the beauty sea.

Sons rise and fall to see,
Then tilt and turn to see,
Their mother, the lovely sea,
Their mother, the pretty sea.

I Am So Very Thankful

I’m So Very Thankful… I’m so thankful for everything the Lord has made... Everything he’s created… His beauty is displayed! I’m so thankful for the breath I have to breathe… Until that one day, from this earth, I shall leave. I’m so thankful for the way God has made so evident. The principles of his word… Are so relevant! I’m so thankful for the beauty and glory he’s shown… It has brought blessings and healing to my home! I’m so thankful for the many things he’s done for me… He’s given me his love which flows abundantly! I’m so thankful that each day,.. Is another to live for him… He’s taken away my pain and has forgiven every sin. I’m so thankful that I can write these words from my heart. I know that he’s with me. And he’ll never depart! I’m so thankful that you’re reading what I’ve been saying… May this cause you to once again start praying! I pray that this same Jesus I know… Who’s merciful and kind… Will speak words of hope to you and give you a peace of mind. I pray that before you go to bed and this day has ended. You’ll allow Christ to have your heart “amended.” Thank you Lord! For what you’ve done and are going to do… It’s another way that I can say “I LOVE YOU!” Thank you Lord! For all that I‘ve received and so much more… You’ve made my life complete… And are worth living for!

A battered old saucepan

It may seem strange to write about a battered old saucepan
but this was no ordinary one
it sprung a leak the other day
sadly without thinking
I threw it away
and now it's gone.

It had been in my family
before I was born
and it was used every day
it broke my heart after
to throw it away.

For all the delicious soups goulash and past
it had contained
the mouth watering delectable smells
from the kitchen
the shouts from my parents

''Come on now set the table dinners made''.

All the red hot broths and porridge we'd scoff
before school on a winters day
all the laughs tears and conversations around
the dinner table before it was was washed
and put away.

It was more than a simple saucepan
because it held a lot of family memories
now my parents sadly passed away
it was one of the last things to remind me
of how things used to be
and mow I have to buy a new one
and accept it's demise
like my family
it's gone forever.

Oh Vulnerable Woman

What a beauty you are!
In this very life, my life!
Oh vulnerable woman!

In your fertile womb,
Precious little life,
What a beauty you are!

Lovely soul takes life bids,
Without hesitation,
Oh vulnerable woman!

Without your weakness,
You would not offer love,
What a beauty you are!

Selfless is your existence;
Yielding self to a small one,
Oh vulnerable woman!

Your delicate body gifted life,
And life gives peace as price,
What a beauty you are!
Oh vulnerable woman!

A GIANT AT FIFTY

A GIANT @ 50.
Countless human colors;
Within, across, races;
God's earthly flower garden;
Blessing to mankind.
Nigeria mother stock;
Home of germination;
Divine manifestation,
Until whole earth bedded.
Beauty more than a trait;
Diversity most beautiful;
Monocular too boring;
Races beauty of earth.
Races like rainbow;
Earth horizon beautified,
To His glory above;
All that dwell rejoice
Land of freedom;
Land of the setting sun;
In Britain you rose;
Freedom in sought.
Land of great heroes;
Land of revolutionaries;

Invercargill my little town

There is a little town deep down south from which I came.
There you will find beauty from the beach, beyond are waves that crash into the
sand and hills that line the shore. Each hill is yours to conquer. Move quickly!
Before the sand burn your feet. The smell of salt fill’s the air. You thank God you
are here.

From the bountiful beach, to the rivers that flow with raging currents, through
trees that bend to skimp the water tops. There are trees that stand proudly,
almost touching the clouds. There are pebbles and stones of all shapes and
sizes. Flowers dance in the wind, vainly displaying their colors. There are Fish,
birds, and creepy Crawlies. Blossom trees and warm summer breeze, Mother
Nature in all her glory.

The mountain tops are covered in a blanket of snow. The depths of the glaciers
are as mysterious as the underwater caves. Bitter winds grasp at your face
leaving you breathless. Ice puddles crack underfoot. Thunder and lighting in the
dead of the night, clashing and banging, it would wake you in fright.

Down in the town where people are asleep, there are man made paths that
weave their way through the street. Park’s, lanes and little pebble bridges,
almost replicas of peaceful Scottish shire. Sadly, things do change. But along
with Mother Nature, my little town remains the same. Immaculate beauty from the
mountains and beyond the Sea… That is why Invercargill is always number one
to me.

The Rapture

Escaping from the patterns of my life
From crime and hate and inner strife
I visit a place that is pure and serene
Where i'm alone as a morning bird sings

I followed a path forged in stone
immersed in beauty, that nature owns
It is nature that owns the morning haze
That envelops the glory of this mystic maze

A labyrinth of answers to my dreams
this paradise is false,or so it seems
As the sun beamed its radiant light
i choose a place and did recite

I gasped at the trees and fertile soil
that inherit the flowers as my quill toiled
The flowers have blossomed this early spring
Akin to a babe, immaculate and pristine.

The scent of the air is not of smog and dirt
that blackens the white and decays the dirks
Yet that of a fragrant scent from the flowers
that abides in memory to this very hour.

i heard patter from a creek a distance away
Gentle and calm it enraptured my stay
And to my eyes not a ripple shows
As i induced a wish then tossed a rose

Akin to a morrow, i saw my reflection
Hued in beauty of Mother Nature's protection
For all this beauty that envelops me
unfolds clearly for the world to see

And to the world like a perpetual fire
it flares and glows never to tire
prevailing past the wars hate and crime
the creek remains until the end of time

The morning bird wings again before me
Adieu Mother Nature I'll never defy thee
Yes! the bird of faith will lead the way
To some other secluded haven to stay.

All Things Beautiful

When growing up on the farm in Indiana even at 'round the age of three,
I began to notice simple yet beautiful things that surrounded me.
Strange though it seems, I found beauty in grumpy bumble bees,
And was fascinated by the gold and crimson foliage of autumn's trees!

Golden fields of wheat undulating in the breeze was a beauty to behold,
As were luscious apples ripening on laden trees in hues of red and gold.
Bright green fields of corn that were to provide roasting ears bye and bye,
Were crowned with gilted, dancing tassels reaching for the sky!

I saw beauty in the gamboling of a newborn baby calf,
And the antics of squealing piglets that really made me laugh!
I caressed fluffy yellow baby chicks with my innocent paws.
(The threat of the fussy mother hens rarely gave me pause!)

I had the joy of capturing elusive lightning bugs on languid summer nights,
And delighted at the awesome beauty of the eerie Northern Lights!
I saw beautiful displays of lightning as it flashed across the prairies,
And from afar saw magnificent golden eagles preening in their aeries!

I gently caressed the beautiful peonies that my Mother grew,
And inhaled the fragrance of her roses glistening in the morning dew.
Though I'm in the autumn of life, in all things beautiful and bright
That The Creator in his munificence has provided, I still take delight!

Path Warn Down

The shore is what I have seen since I was little
when I grew up it was so far in the distance to see.
Walking the distance when I was a child I was so brittle
to notice the path was so warn out to me.

The little strides I took was not so bad
it was just how it ended up when my mother had my hand.
She pointed out to the horizon to make me glad
that I could look out and see the sand.

The look in her eyes was so beautiful
it was one of those moments that can be captured.
My mother showed me the path and told me to be careful
to not worry about the pain she pictured.

The final walk up to get home was a bummer
because it was the sign that ended my time their.
My time at the beach and the sea was the end of summer
that is when I said, I will be back I swear.

The path might be warn more and more out
even when time passes and when I get older.
My memories of my mother and I will last with out a doubt
with time I get smarter and much bolder.

Morning Synchronicity

She was a warm coffee cup

brimming over with the sweet

expectation of lips that could

give her the comfort she sought.

He was a sunrise

cradling the morning in

arms of mercy;

He held her sight still,

giving the horizon colors

he knew would feel, just right.

Together they waited for

the jostle of day;

the pitter pat of tiny feet,

the quiet groan of a still tired father,

a mother’s call to the kitchen.

Together they will blossom under

the colors chosen, for mornings of

peace. Together they will wilt the

morning, and break the day,

until night’s slumber.

Together.

Drops of Nature

From the trees of life, of the great green mother earth
To the free birds of the blue, father sky years of birth.
Nature’s true colors, are the beauty of something great
If you can not see the true colors, for you it’ll be too late.

Water as clear as diamonds, is a sign of its purity
The moon at its fullest, to be the sign of humanity.
Fish as happy as the others, jumping up really high
Birds as free as any other, flying fast in the sky.

This beauty we call nature, isn’t really beautiful till we see
The colors that we may miss, for its core that stands to be.
Drops of water from the wet full sky, I can here it said to rain
Age upon the strongest tree, from this I have made my cane.

Nature being life, for the past present and future
Age has no affect, on the timeless beautiful nature.
Nature's snow is as white, as beautiful birch trees
Seeing a clear view, of the setting sun over the seas.

What we are calling the ocean, full of the depthful water
This liquid now a mist, was once mother earth's daughter.
Nature’s flashing son, now brewing a deadly storm
It’s considered ice cold, it’ll never be dry and warm.

Drops of water filled icicles, becoming a welcoming present
The beauty of unknown weather, sometimes not so pleasant.
Beautiful Drops of nature, I will tell you what I want to say
No matter what is to come, it will always be here to stay.

Mother And Child

            Mother and Child

Nothing is more perfect than mother and child
Baby clings on mom’s neck secure in the facts of life
Mom snuggles there in gentle endless caresses
What could be sweeter than the warm milk
Poured out as nourishment and purity for baby
To spice the day as they play
The old house on the cliff keeps them happy
Their days are filled with looking out at the great sea
Watching the heavy waves lap on boulders just below them
The sound, like a somber lullaby, moves them off to sleep
To keep them grounded up above
Sometimes in Spring they dance hand in hand along the cliff
Being ever mindful not to slip
Taking their love one step at a time in humble trust
Mother and child are always sweet and kind

A Fruitful Flight - part 2 of Surreal Love -

Is that enough
proof to show you that you’re beautiful inside and out?

How can I show you that I’m captivated by my love towards you?
How can I prove to you that you’re a great deal?
How can I wipe away your tears – twinkling blue?
How can I express how lovely you look? – It’s true
I’m being serious and straightforward definitely –
our love is pure and so much more…
our love will endure forevermore…
our love is real and it’s a splendid deal…
our love is unreal…our love is made of steel…
Our Love is oh so surreal
You melt my anguish away…
Our love can heal a broken heart
You nurture me in the month of May
You throw away winter’s dismay

Our Love burns on…and its warmth shrouds us with love
Our love takes wing…like a divine, elegant dove
Adoring fruitful flight –
What a sight…what a delight
Put to death the heartless night
And fight the good fight
As my mother would say
every now and then
she always turned the night to day
But, she’s not here with me again
Why would she not visit me in the month of May?
Didn't she promise that she would give me a call today?

Our love’s a sturdy, majestic ship,
Revealing its glory and producing fellowship
Our love sprouts with everlasting grace and ecstasy
A zealous grace that won’t sink down to the bottomless sea

Put a ring on your finger and soak in my mournful, ravishing rain
Love me in a flattering, relishing way
I place a vase of ferns and daisies on your window pane
I send you my love as I begin my journey today

I pray to God that the dawn will blossom
In the month of May,
Pushing away the doubtful, dismal clouds…
making me feel numb
Making me drink in regret and disarray…

Michael's Mother

The beauty of your mother was not in the clothes she'd wear
it wasn't even in the way the light danced upon her hair.
The beauty of your mother is beyond these words I write
her beauty came from in her soul, you saw it in her eyes.

The beauty of your mother was not measured by success
yet overflowing was her resplendence when you felt her soft caress.
A light warming every room she entered, words melodious and sweet
washing over you, as her verbal hug was your personal retreat.

The beauty of your mother had really only just begun
Showering you with drops of love and laughter as the sun.
The beauty of your mother is what her wish would be for you,
Pure happiness and joy, For you, true love, to be loved too.

Remember each day your mother and the beauty that she shared
all the lessons she tried to teach you and how much for you she cared.
Because the beauty of your mother is not gone, its in your heart and in the skies
She is in you and when you gaze at me, the beauty of your mother is reflected in my eyes.

Nature To Its Fullest (my opinion of nature)

Nature to its fullest
Is where all beauty lies
For flowers bloom and animals dance.
and I'm sure no one would say other wise.

I am one with nature
I will not lie
I hunt with the wolves
And sing with the birds

I dwell the dark forests
Where beauty is seen
A beam of light across the bright blooming narcissus flowers
Next to a large pond with silver fish gleaming in the water.

To this I ponder at what I see..
Why cant this be shared amongst us all?
My wonder is over when spot a panther in ivory black
Only to turn silver upon the moons brilliant light

Gleaming eyes turned towards me as i am doing the same
A single tint of sorrow in her eyes
For I see that she has but one cub, innocently playing with his mothers tail
For then I suspect that she lost all but one of her litter,

This is love of an animal with her cubs a loss that seems unbearable
Thus i think of every day society and am disgusted by those who kill their own
Just because of regret, how they put them in places to be left to die, to think about how
Painful it would be for an infant to die of starvation and thirst, a baby crying for love but
Unable to find it. then it dies, and the mother seems not to care... it sickens me to say how
This can be done.

But to most, i should add, morn for their baby's death,
And some cherish the arrival like peace on earth.
Why can't society become one?
Why must we endure such heartaches?
So many questions but not many answers,
But some should be left untold.

Mothers and fathers alike cherish birth like nothing better could happen.
Even as life gets harder, love is still the strongest emotion.

This is a poem of my opinion.
I hope to hear what your opinion is.

From within all life come to light THE WOMB OF MOTHER NATURE

From within - all life come to light .
THE WOMB OF MOTHER NATURE

Before the womb of Mother Nature, stands
two offspring's, feeding off her old life's hands
One day, a long way down the road of time's passing
they will stand tall before the memory of her place .

MOTHER NATURE'S VULVA, ****** .

A flower before the beauty of Motherhood,
one day, a month ago, before me stood .
To day, in the photo, the vision became clear
as I enlarged the picture, bring it near .
Life's journey, before these eyes, was there
for all to see, if but should they care .
Imagination in me runs wild
at the sight of man's stillborn child
looking out at me from within her ******,
past the beauty that is all vulva .
This unborn child - so old - of man,
his skeletal skull, eyes so sad
slipping into dust, as all before had,
kissing the lips all life passes by
on it's long, long journey to be .
This unborn child - so old - of man
reaching up it seems, trying to hang on,
but out into the light we all must go,
past the gap between Mothers legs
we must, he must, as dust, fly
out into the great expanse, of blue sky,
living a life fated, dictated, or chosen .

This in a photo - this day - caught my eye .

Dark Light

 Sometimes I feel like falling,
 Or drowning in the rain,
Sometimes I feel like cutting,
To see her face again.
The Shadows of a darker mind,
Twist, confuse and lie,
I never did understand why she had to die,
I see her face in haunting dreams,
Or looking back at me,
She seems to root me to the ground,
When all I want is to flee.
Her morbid beauty chases me,
Like vulchers around meat,
Her stone cold ear upon my chest,
To cocxe my finel beat,
Amogst this all is one smart ray,
A dimond in the mist,
That hold me close to take away,
The razor at my wrist,
The dark and light confuse my brain,
There never ending war,
Mother I love you and always will,
But James I love you more.

I Remember the Rose

For most, a rose is romance.
A rose is the passion within -
The forgiving flower.
The tenderness that is, pure love.
But not to me.
A rose to me is sadness,
It’s essence and it’s scent,
I recall a painful memory -
A lonely reminder of a woman,
I never got to meet.
It’s velvet beauty surrounded her,
So pale and still she lay
My grandma.
I recall my father’s face;
The first time I ever seen him cry.
On his knees by his mother -
At her coffin.
So when I smell a rose’s love,
In retrospect, I think I understand
The beauty and the essence it demands.
For it was the rose that I remember -
and I think about her quiet face,
My Nana,
the gentle rose
The woman that brought my father
to his knees.

Softly the Hand of a Mother

Softly the Hand of a Mother

Softly the hand of a mother
touches with a smoothness deep
Love, pure love like no other
dark clouds make me weep

Wetness washes my face
her grace sets life aglow
No time, no other place
will replace the her I know

Soft sails on a crystal lake
sunny morns dancing in time
Beauty none can ever fake
melody within a perfect rhyme

Softly her shadow stays me
words , memories give joy
Losing her soon slays me
yet again her lost little boy......

Robert J. Lindley, 11-06-2014

Note: Recently mother was thought to be passing on but pulled thru.
She is as tough as nails. Yet as soft as silk.
A strange ability, unique quality but mothers the world over seem
to share that.
My first submitted write since my break.
Composed tonight and I hope it inspires others to appreciate the love that mothers give so very unselfishly..

Unclean to the evil....

Young girl watches as her mother is raped
The blood in her body runs cold
Her fear is shown with every tear
Noone there to stop the crulity that is taking over
A village being cleansed of culture
As my mother lays dead
I scream to the demon
You may take my body to hell
But never my spirit
As the life is removed from my being
I am free of fear no more a single tear
From above I watch as my village is slaughtered
The clearest of river now pours red
The beauty of my land is now devils land
A domination of men of power I spit on them
A dirty word as they are nothing except murderous evil souls
Day by day year by year hour by hour minute by minute
So many lives are tortured as they die with the massacres
An elimination of ethnic wonders are now silent
Men women the youngest of child and the oldest around
All to be set aside in a grave of brutal domain
Fire burns its fiery its vision is angered
Savage men violently eliminate the undesired ethnic ones
They hold inner weakness of a blinded power
To intentional murder in such unforgiving crimes
There is no excuse for man to be so unconcerned
An intimidation far from beauty as nature once conserved
Now my innocences within my spirit walks by holding my mother's hand
As we now are free from such evil times within man

All love and blessings to the victims of Ethnic cleansing may there souls now run free ...

lullaby

Sleep child sleep bright
as Dream comes an' sits beside
to rock you in her gossamer wings
an' Ariel from the cowslip's bell, now lightly sings
Sleep child sleep bright
The moon flashes on you her silver light
an' sprinkles a beauty unmistaken
of sweet innocence an' silken charms from heaven
Sleep child sleep bright
Hope comes in her flight
Her feathered fingers tenderly at your hair
Lo! golden she turns them, an' stars strewn in the air!
Sleep child sleep bright
Titania's seen dancing in the faint sight
Roses bright hued, in her sun gold arms
Here she comes, to breathe into you her faerie charms!
Sleep child sleep bright
Sleeping beauty in joyous delight
treads softly now her feet light
to kiss you baby a sweet goodnight
Sleep child sleep bright!

Mother

Ode to the mother who is so kind
who’s beauty and gospel light always shine.
The mother that I love so dear always does the wash
The mother that I love so dears loves the kitchen store called Bosch.
Mother, I don’t know if you remember the time you once told me,
that I would always be your baby as long as you were taller;
Believe me Mom that is not quiet fair you always knew I would be smaller.
I never told you how brave and strong you are to me.
Mother I first noticed your strength when grandma left this earth
I know how much it hurt you,
I know how much you cried.
The sorrow that burdened your heart always burdened mine
But the thing that I remember most was how I felt inside
I’d thought that I had lost her forever,
Mom, I thought life would never be the same.
But then I looked into your eyes and that’s were I lost my pain.
I knew she wasn’t lost because her and you are the same, as long
as you’re my Mommy and forever with me you remain.
I hope one day Mother that I shine the way you do,
with the glory of God inside you and a little bit of grandma too.
Your beauty is more than outward appearance, it’s what’s on the inside I love.
You always put up with me,
you always seem to care,
So Mother I know I’m not perfect
and I can be a grouch,
But I know that you love me, and that’s what really counts.
I don’t know why you chose me, but I know why I chose you
Because God believed that you would lead me back to him and would keep me
close to you.
I could not be more proud of the mother you are to me.
So thank you Mom for being the mother I want to be, I hope one day you will know
how much you will always mean to me.

IN THE BLUEBELL WOODS ( PART I I )

IN THE BLUEBELL WOODS ( PART I I )

But none of these took my fancy
As much as the myriad bluebells
Which had spread to every shady nook and cranny
Of the floor of the leafy sea.
It was love at first sight.
Every one of these tiny blue mermaids
Had a straight smooth stem a few inches tall,
And at the top every one turned down
Her head shyly in silent blue whispers.
These creatures were too delicate to pick,
And it never even crossed
My adoring mind to try,
But I ran to my mother and pulled her
By the little finger over to where
The biggest clumps lay spread out taking their ease.
Unnecessary to pick  any of the bluebells;
It was sufficient to have a short conversation with them and about them.

Of the end of the woods trip…..I have no memory.
Indeed, I cannot really recollect
The day ending at all.
The lack of time sense when you are four
Has the advantage of allowing
What may well be a short, intensely-lived experience
To telescope into a one of much longer duration,
Sometimes without any definite end.

It may be that
The bluebell woods of Shotley Bridge
Were no more than the overgrown garden
Of some elderly maiden aunt
Whom my mother was visiting that day,
Or perhaps they weren’t in reality
Located in Shotley Bridge at all,
But in some other location -
But they were there somewhere,
And I had really seen them,
I had really smelled them.

To try to recapture childhood memories
Is like trying to preserve
The beauty of a flower
By picking it for a collection.
Its beauty is gone with the picking.

May We Remember

May the Sun always shine on your face
Mat the gentle whisper of the wind caress your cheek
May the sweet scent of a rose be the perfume of your life
May the days of your life be filled with the colours of a rainbow
May the bubbles in your soul flow like champagne
May the music in your heart reach the crescendo of a wave
May the windows of your soul never cascade like a waterfall
May the windows of your soul shimmer, sparkle and shine like the stars in the
night
May we remember the beauty within, we are unique and divine in our own light
May we remember the only cage we should live in is Gods, it is a beauty mortals
can not create
May we remember the greatest miracle
We are all one with the universe

Morning Star

Across her village far deep in to the forrest Morning Star found peace and
contentment. Here away from her village, the young girl enjoyed the daylight
hours with the sounds and beauty of nature and it's animals. Beyond the forrest
the mountains held a mystery all their own. Their beauty touched her soul and
spirit yet they seems so far off to her.Her thoughts wondered what lay over them
and what new world lay beyond those haunting peaks reaching to the sky.
Suddenly the early morning was shattered by the sounds of gunfire. With all
the men gone hunting no one was there to protect the village. Morning Star's
thoughts were of not only the others in the village but of her mother and baby
sister, she had to get back to them. Screams of women and children cut through
the forrest as the scent of smoke and the sounds of horses grew closer.
Suddenly the sounds began to fade and only the smell of smoke remained. As
she stood at the clearing, Morning Star saw what was left of her village. Unable to
move as her eyes looked across the bodies of women and children laying all
around. Tears filled her eyes as she walked by so many searching for her
mother and baby sister, hoping that they had fled to safety. There in the dirt lay
her mother clutching her baby sister, both dead. How could this have happened?
How could the soldiers have done this to them?
Morning Star placed a blanket over her their lifeless bodies and slowly walked
away. Her life as she knew it was gone, dead along with her mother and baby
sister. She was the only survivor. Slowly she walked back into the forrest. Dusk
was beginning and the forrest would keep her safe for the night. Tomorrow she
would search for a way up to the mountains, there she would find a path to her
destiny and what the spirits have chosen for her. She would be the only one to
tell the story of all who had been lost this day. She would be the only one to keep
their story alive for generations after this.

GOD'S GIFT TO THE WORLD

A woman is God’s gift to the world:
Her beauty is in her eyes;
Which is the door to the heart where true love resides.
A woman holds so much emotions inside.
Her tears release her pain and anguish when she cries.
She gives strength to life;
As a mother and a wife.
Despite of caring for family, illness, and fatigue she never quits.
With a open mind and a conscious heart a woman is well equipped.
God gives her sensitivity to love so unconditionally.
Even when others hurt her so deeply.
She even endures all her husband’s faults.
Through life she teaches and encourages her children to walk.
Her beauty is not in the style of her hair or in the clothes she wears.
It is in the tears that she cries because God gives her the gift to care.

' Dissertation On Beauty ... '

If Aiming For Beauty
Pretty, Is Nice
But Plain Vanity
Is A Venal-Vice

Inner Beauty: Is A Necessity
Outer Beauty: (Maybe) Superficiality
Outer Beauty: May Impress Memory
But Inner Beauty: Lasts An Eternity

Now, As A Teen
I Did Preen
 Too Much Esteem
 Oldest, Sister Seen …

So, As A Teen, I Was Told
Advice To Shape- Mold
Words: Worthy-Gold
Listen: Behold …

“You Are Pretty, Yes It’s True
But Just Wait A Minute or Maybe Two
All In Time and Life’s View
Will Come Someone … Prettier Than You

So, Don’t Be A Victim-in-Error
Like The Queen, due to Snow White and A Mirror
Of Course, There’ll Be Somebody Fairer
So, Don’t Be A Silly-Comparer …

… ‘Cause, The Prettiest Person
Is Ugly To Someone
And The Ugliest Person
Looks Good To Somebody, Hon …

Lovely, Is As Lovely Do …
Be A Portrait and Not Just Surface-Cute
Be A Shame, If Someone Spends Time With You
And Sees, Ain’t Nothing Else, Or Nothin’ New

‘Cause I’ve Seen People
Who Were ‘Knock-Outs’ ! …
That is, Until
They Opened Their Mouths

And Revealed Hostility
In Hearts
Made Attraction-Desirability
… Depart

See: Mean and Envy
And A Barb-Wire Tongue
And Harm and Dumb …
Starts When Young

So, Strive To Be Kind
A Gentle Heart-Smile
Clean and Sweet
And Your Own-Love-Style

… Also Godly Fear
And Inner Beauty Will Appear
Your Outer Beauty Will Be Clear …”
… My Stunning Sister, I Still Hear …

“Beauty … Is In The Eye Of The Beholder”
Especially True … As We Grow Older
