Fool of Infinite and Queen of Fate

Fool of Infiniti

A wanton bird pecks at the stars
A Jester peers through crystal bars
This prison of love with rainbow hue
Illusion parts to lets you through

On dragon wings forever free
You quest into your dreams to see
Smoke and mirrors and shadow haze
To guide you through an endless maze

Slow motion tear rolls down her cheek
Its only passion that you seek ?
Engulfed in strange duality.
She wonders her reality

Your eyes still mock her with desire
Your kisses light her inner fire
Your touch can melt her to your will
But you will never take your fill

Black widow spider guards your heart
She spun the web, she keeps it taut
It is your only fatal flaw.
A secret, silent metaphor.

And all about her swirl the dreams
The nightmares all with voiceless screams
And in her hand the strangest key
To fit the door of What Will Be ?

And when her eyes search yours again
You take her to the spider den
You spin the dreams she hopes to see
And lock your hearts in mystery.

So enter in to lick the flame
Eternal prisoner of the game
Illusion is false imagery
She whispers your Infinity

The Queen of Fate

The Queen of Fate by the outer Gate
Her carriage to Nowhere, will await
Her cloak is wrapped against the night
Her eyes are wide with peculiar fright

Gray horses eyes turn back in fear
With thunderclaps upon her ear
Blue jagged lightning points the way
Along the path to yesterday

Cold, sullen driver cracks his whip
His crooked smile curls round his lip
His horses leap the cruel abyss
Dark Queen of Fate sees none amiss

Above the mist a gate appears
Who will wipe the Gate-man's tears ?
Gray horses strike and paw the air
Fate Queen ascends the carriage stair

And all about her swirl the dreams
The nightmares all with voiceless screams
And in her hand a wondrous key
To lock Enigma's Mystery

Pass through the gate O Queen of Fate
Another carriage will await
Drawn by Steeds of Promises
Illusion Starts and Finishes

Dungeons of the Soul

Beware the secrets castles keep,
In empty chambers tucked away,
Within your soul they do not sleep.

There, quietly within they creep
Kept hidden from the light of day.
Beware the secrets castles keep.

Lost down behind where conscience weeps
The secrets know they cannot stay.
Within your soul they do not sleep.

Through many walls it slowly seeps
Till when our peace becomes the prey.
Beware the secrets castles keep.

We're warned that what we sow we reap.
At harvest time we'll have to pay.
Within your soul they do not sleep.

Loud echos from within betray
The secret truths that were delayed.
Beware the secrets castles keep.
Within your soul they do not sleep.

Burning Flesh part 1

Things begin turning around and very
slowly they take a nasty foreboding twist
as Hell's Dragon has not breathed yet
a deep burning fire melting red his eyes
dripping blood upon fury and destruction
pumping inside the uncontrollable fire
equal to that of a thousand steamboats
and only he sleeps in the dark dungeons.

Chained and suffering in utter Hellfire
chained in untold torment and anguish
unleashed he would burn your heart no less
in a flash—while scorching all to nothingness
fried black from the deepest ashes falling
cold silently sleeping with wings on fire and
chained to love’s weakness as the dark fables say:
Do Not Call Upon This Beast—He’s The Devil’s Own.

Hell’s Dragon stirs inside with tongues of flames
lashing with the pains of hate to strike all now
leaving hottest cinders and funeral pyres a plenty
it’s now the Devil’s very moment to unleash His Evil,
His Demon Dragon upon the saintly and the pure
and the precious doing their good works and all
and unsuspecting of the malevolence awaiting them.

The Devil enters afresh the earthly plane once more and
releases His Dragon to inflict harm and to upset
God’s celestial equation of peace, harmony, and light—
bringing death, destruction, and retribution to all in
its flight path while breathing out the harshest and
cruelest and hottest flames of fiery perfidy in the
name of Lucifer—Himself laughing boisterously at God
all the while not knowing the coming angelic answer.

The Almighty Lord works indeed in the most mysterious
of ways and He will not let his Fallen Angel Lucifer (or
“The Devil” on Earth) have His way by murdering
innocents through His Dragon proxy only too willing to
serve His Master to bring horrible hideous death to all
of mankind who fall within its flight path and intention
to inflict the most treacherous and dastardly plan of
of unmitigated death and horror ever to be unleashed.

Continued burning flesh 2

Dementia

He was always so happy
strong and bold.
He'd give you the shirt off of his back.
Tough.
Independent.
He had a rough life
growing up through the depression,
but like he always does,
he got through it.
He has two boys, of whom he is so proud.
Moved from Regina, to Victoria.
He had the best life anyone his age could have wanted.
But ever since his wife died,
he has not been the same.
Sad
Lonely
Empty.
But like he has always done,
he got through it.
Mind slipping,
just a little forgetful.
That's how it always starts out...
But like always, he powered through it,
until now...
He is not the same person that I used to know.
He been sentenced to the prison in his own mind.
Possessed by the thoughts of his dogs ashes.
He likes to play the blame game,
but we know he doesn't remember that it was him.
He wakes up in the night
shaking with pain,
tears streaming down his face.
There is nothing we can do,
Oh well...
Two more tylenol.
Hold on to hope
for as long as you can,
It's only a matter of time now.
He gets vocal, a very loud tone.
He'll block you in your room
and make false accusations
But we know that it's the pain induced monster in him.
Tick tock, tick tock...
You can't handle the stress anymore
you have to leave.
Just hope for the best,
maybe it will get better.
Surprise, it doesn't.
Your denial is foolish, everyone knows
what happens next.
Sedation
Medication
Anger
Hurt
All results of

THE LAST DAYS

The days seem to go by so fast. there is a void in the air, the birds have lost their vibrant beat, the ocean has lost its luster, the soil feels solid and dry.

My soul feels as if it has left my body before my death, my dreams haunt my day, the tears stain my steps, my doctor says that it is depression, I say that it is reality, I am intoxicated by society,I am numb by perscriptions.

Why do I feel so isolated within myself? is there no one in my painfully tight shoes? can anyone understand my pain? can anyone melt in my sorrows? why am I this way? why is the world so cruel? why can't I be normal?

Wait! I am normal, what am I saying, I know now, the veil has been lifted, humanity is my enemy, the sins that drip from their sweat, the dread that follows their shadows, their souls of black, their intentions of greed pull a shade across their eyes.

They are destined for doom, they will not be saved, they will not find salvation, they belittle me, they curse me, they shame me, but they are right about one thing, I am different, unlike them, I will be saved in the last days.

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

Money

Money money, ringing in your tills,
Calling us to worship,
The hundred dollar bills.
Bend our knees in wonder,
Bow our heads in awe,
At the power of the liar,
Who now controls us all.
From the darkest deep caverns,
To the stars in the sky,
From the infinite universe,
To the strangers passing by.

From your inner most conviction,
To your laughing in the night,
From everything you 're seeing,
To everything out of sight.

The new God has risen,
To claim the holy throne,
The one that we have emptied,
Our hearts all cold as stone.

The throne that we have emptied,
We killed the rightful king,
Sold his crown an sceptre,
Pawned his sacred ring.

Raised his bleeding body,
Up on that bloody hill,
The silent lamb still bleeding,
As the money fills your tills.

A Soul Awakened

She is the muse to her own sorrow; She is the digger of her grave. She is the painter of her ocean view and every fatal wave. She is the shadow of her Father; She is the darkness in your sight. She is the night without the stars surrounding pale moonlight. She is the music with no words; She is sweet love without the reason. She is your dreamer with submission cold by warmth with every season. She is your pet with cold intentions; She is your baby scared and shaken. She is the bold and pure- the lost and found, She is a soul awakened.

CAPTCHA's Cruelty

HELP

The CAPTCHA took me by surprise tonight
Letters became ghouls in my mind’s eye
I listed them—
Noted them; words...begging, crying out for me

STAY

CAPTCHA was merely mocked
By millions of viewers on keyboards
I imagined all—
Tears began to fall

LOST

How may I help you, CAPTCHA?
Are you merely what they say?
Is there more—
Tell me, I pray

AAND

You bewilder my senses with your emptiness
The computer became my way to you
But all I could do—
Was imitate

CRYY

I began to imagine someone stuck in CAPTCHA
A place where they harbored the weak
They took what they pleased—
Allowed them to speak

NNOW

Today it was happening and evermore
There was a reason I came to know
And now—
I want to know more

FOLL

I swallowed air and typed in the words
Feeling worthless and absurd
I began to believe—
There was more to this irrational dream

XOW3

The screen went black and then I was sure
I couldn’t doubt it anymore
The CAPTCHA wanted me—
The letters suddenly blurred and unseen

CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA
Let them go
CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA
Full of woe
CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA
Take me now
CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA
Tell me how to
CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA
Set them free
CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA
Knowing is free

Knowing is free

MMEE

For years I have copied your codes
Knowing you are there
Me—it’s me
Crying in the dark pit of despair

AAND

Though empty your words are to me
They are all I hear
All I fear—
In four letters on this electric trap

XXBX

What am I to do?
To follow would weary my soul
To save—
Would take its toll

FREE

What is this foreign word my dear?
Oh, how can you cut and paste it in my mind so clear?
Free—and then?
Close your eyes and count to ten

The victims of the CAPTCHA remain a mystery to us all
Yet still we stare at the codes and merely imitate them
We are zombies staring our lives away
Trapped in CAPTCHA’s claws
Sad, deprived. . .
CAPTURED

I speak your language to stop this cruelty:

THEE 2TRUE TH78 IS9X BEF4 HOUR VERY EYES

Though we choose not to see
We choose not to fight
We choose only to IMITATE
We merely copy and paste

Letters On My Arm

you won’t listen to me, so i write to you on my arms.
this one says i needed you and you weren’t there.
this one says i’m bleeding but you don’t care.
i wrote you this one out of despair,
seemed like you always had to be at some other somewhere,
and it hurts, because it’s me you’re dismissin’,
with no time to listen, just need your attention,
it’s your touch i’m missin’, look me in my eye,
i know you see my letters, so why don’t i get a reply?
i guess it’s worth it just to try,
to get you to notice me just one more time,
write you just one last line,
but i’m runnin’ out of time ‘cause i’m runnin’ out of ink,
needin’ more time to think,
but i don’t have it, so i sign my last letter and address it to you,
i hope this one gets through

Shotgun Lovesong

Let's play a game
of Russian Roulette.
I'll go first,
you can pull the trigger.
Look me in the eyes
as the muzzle
nuzzles
the temple of my skull.

Fire.

I'll probably be fine,
more than alright in fact,
as I watch you
watch me
remain alive.

It'll look like you love me.
It'll look like you care.

Beginnings and Ends

What is midnight than the hour between
Night and day, seen and unseen?
Sixty whole minutes that drag or fly by
Given importance—my question is: Why?
What is the difference ‘tween midnight and one?
An hour, that’s all? Another day done?
But of course not. It’s simple, you see.
Midnight is end, close, finale.
Midnight is time to look back at the day,
To reflect, to ponder, to be able to say,
“I’ve done it. I’ve made it. I have survived.
One more day down, and I’m still alive.”
Mull over the contents in your quieting mind
The contents of yesterday, what now is behind.
But midnight so dismal? This cannot be.
But of course not. It’s simple, you see.
Midnight is start, the source, the outset
Of a chance to make memories you’ll never forget.
The smiles, the laughter, the time spent with friends.
Midnights are beginnings as well as the ends.

The Warrior

The Warrior

My pencil is my sword
My eraser is my shield
And when I go to war
My paper is my battlefield
When life is to much
This is how I express the way I feel
And so I write such words
As murder, stab, kill
When people read these words
Misunderstanding they think I’m insane
But this is just how I vent
All my anger, frustration and pain
People that don’t know me
Think I look like a bad man
The people that say they do know me
Think I live the life of a madman
All of these things
Circling in my head
Sometimes I have to wonder
Would I be better off dead
I used to be a somebody
And my reputation would reflect
That I used to be a person
To look up to and respect
But now you can see
By the trembling in my hands
That all I am these days
Is a tired, broken man

Help Me

HELP ME

When we fight
I want to run away
But there’s nowhere to go
But down, down, down

Your vicious tongue lashes thru my heart
As you beat me with your soul
And I want to run away
So far from you and this town, town, town

If I could just tell someone
I’m just a piece of trash
Would they help me or am I just all alone?
Metal and glass crash.

I never thought I could hate someone
Until I met your sadness
Evil never felt so bad.
You’re driving me too madness

Running, running away from you
To nowhere lasting
Screaming and nobody hears me
As my blood pours fasting

Please save me from this ilk.
I’m too weak to drink my milk
The time has come and gone my friend
I fear the near is coming to an end…help

Solipsist

Let the Deicide commence.

You're a voyeur at best!
Your vampiric heart is beating out of your chest!
And you have slayed the ones whom would love you for anything less
Ready to consume the final fragments of innocence,
And for you there is no forgiveness,
On your knees pleading, screaming to a tyrant in the skies;
The father of lies.

I will never be enslaved in your superiority
The people agree: jaded of your false dichotomies.
Know: I will be whomever nature intends to be
Apollo and I will share our dreams,
and you will be forced to see
your failure!

I know who you are...
Readily the first to present your scars
Chained by some despot or mental czar
An emotional homunculus in your mind, behind bars
Reluctant to escape - even when proven fake
Your demented mind - depths no one will penetrate!

...And you see me suffering
Not caring of any casualties
Just as long you recieve your safeguard of sympathy
So very wary of the masses and their Anarchy; Liberious ways

Solipsist - Is there no one you can see?
Even if she was presented burning?
Solipsist - Is there no one you can believe?
Even if Sophia was screaming?
Solipsist - Know you have killed and abused me
Imprisoned in your own personal reality

The Eye

The eye,a sign the
unwise can't comprehend
  Forged from the world's
origin,an
illumination in darkened
minds,for the
enlightened ones like
Leonardo da Vinci,Isaac
Newton,John Milton....etc.
   The eye is a tree
with many branches like
Priory of Scion,Knight
templars,I.O.G.T,United
Nations,Masonic
Lodge,Music industry,
Politics,global economy,
etc
stretching beyond
human imaginations-felt
in all corners of earth.
  The world is clothed
through wisdom from
above.
   The eye,all seeing
sign,an invincible
emblem of power and
riches to the lion hearted
and loyal souls.
A seat of influence and
fame.
  Creating the social order
through men of power....
  Some see it as a
curse,others a blessing.
I feel it,the great eye is
everywhere watching
you!

My Hiding Place

I hide here and there,
In a place that snares,
Sometimes full of my blares,
Full of ensnared traps...

I hide here and there,
In a place with many affairs,
Where my enemies are bare,
Where I can make them flee and hare...

I hide here and there,
In a place that only friendship knows,
A place located in the air,
A place below on earth,
Where no plow can cut its soil...

I hide here and there,
In a place with vast plains,
A place with deep and misty forests,
A place with an unreachable sky,
A place where flowers might bloom...

I hide here and there,
In a place where I can hide in my cloak,
A place where I breathe silently,
A place where I contemplate nature,
Where humidity longly persists,
In a place where I scream and no one listens...

I hide and there,
In a place where unwanted can get afflicted,
A place of bright darkness,
A place of dark lights,
Where nothing owns me...

I hide here and there,
In a place where my biggest wishes are spared,
A place where blood won't be splashed,
A place where tears might be shed,
A place where time and space are fair,
A place with some mare surfaces,
Where fear might be gone...

In a place where all sins might be forgiven,
A place where my instinct is tamed,
A place where my mind is thoughtful but reserved,
A place where my heart is controlled,
The place where my deepest secrets are held,
The place where I am the seer,
The place where my soul will forever reign,
The place I can call a hiding place...

Red Roses

Their petals are falling as their colors change
It wasn’t this way before but is it strange?
These roses are dying in delicate sweet sorrow
Will their love shed too? Or will it see tomorrow?
Petals and love falling slow like soft snowflakes
A little change in season is all it takes,
But will these roses bloom again in a new morn?
Will their love come back to greatly adorn?

Will their beauty be gone forever once it fades away?
Or will it come back to make everything okay?
For what will the roses be worth if their beauty dies forever?
Will the image and value from them permanently sever?
Will the light in their eyes suddenly become dark?
As their splendor and significance steadily grow stark?
Or will they rise like light at the beginning of dawn?
And be reborn more beautiful than a swan?

Whispering Night

In a strange
environment under gross
darkness and whispering
night,I found myself with
a companion.
 We walked an endless
journey across the
woods..eerie sounds we
heard,a crack! then the
undead resurrecting from
marshes,we ran seeking
for cover.
  These creatures howled
as they drew near with
blood dripped
mouths,my fear
deepened,I called out to
my friend a flesh eater he
became.
  Under the whispering
night I stood alone,
seemed the world stood
still,as these monsters
encircled me,I closed my
eyes wishing I was not
born.
   Suddenly,a bright light
shone,dispersed
darkness,repelled these
zombies-then eerie noises
ceased, and the world
revolved once again.
  A knock,I realized I
drifted to sleep as my
companion entered my
car.
  We zoomed off towards
the horizon under the
bright sky.

I Don't Care

I Don't Care...

I don't care,
if you're battered black and blue,

I don't care,
just as long as I can drink and screw.

I don't care,
if you've lost your damn job,

I don't care,
you're just a kernel off the cob.

I don't care,
when I see you begging in the street,

I don't care,
I get to suckle on capitalism's raw teat.

I don't care,
about the elderly, the poor, or the weak,

I don't care,
if the earth will be inherited by the meek.

I don't care,
if the climate is warming, I'm so much cooler,

I don't care,
in my penthouse I'm the boss, the only ruler.

I don't care,
for those rolling for scraps in the muck,

I don't care,

I really don't care, cos' I don't give a f**k

Trilogy

She splendid came before the light of dawn,
Emerged from Halls of deep memoir's efface;
'Let me express my love in eyes and ways,
before death turns me back to granite stone.'

Embraced were we while the winds raced moaning,
our strings of lives joined outside of mute grief;
there was a hope left when the arcane Nymph
fled East, towards the first light of morning.
..............

Unvirtuous sons of metamorphosis,
vociferous assault - lives to degrade,
with cymbals' wrothly thump, my land invade,
drums' beat enacts my apotheosis.

They cut me thrice and once as I slaughter,
grotesque barbarians, that fight entranced;
I prayed to dawns' refulgent light; enhanced
their monstrous growls fly with a twilit bird.

Accented their trilogy - immoral,
from deep wounds - inferior weep their cries,
euphoric Spring forces them to baptize
in anaphoric flowing red to flora.
..............

She splendid came before the light of dawn,
Emerged from Halls of deep memoir's efface;
'Let me express my love in eyes and ways,
before death turns me back to granite stone.'

Last Breath

You were a shining Star.
Few of many in the sky.
Looking up so very high,
Not knowing why you are.

Close and set you are far.
Spinning flames knot a tie,
I note a pattern just like pi.
Colliding with me you spar.

So burn it up and burn away,
Sow your heart upon a plane.
Chart your distance in the clay.
Burn it all up then call it sane.

The explosion in the sky is His death.
All burned up He has no last breath.

The Storm

And the storm calls to me in ways you'll never understand
A gentle call that urges my soul forth
The lighting guiding a path for my feet to walk
Between the stones and ash of all that once was
I stand in the echoing silence of the rain
It drops down upon my skin like the blessing waters of heaven
Soothing me, lifting the weight from my body
I feel at once as if I am home
Standing amid two dimensions
Caught between two skies - here and there
The night wraping around me in warmth
The gentle wind lifting me off my feet
Drops from the clouded moon washing away my body
and I am left just a soul, an essence
The storm calls me forth from beneath my roof
Beckoning me into its depth
I stand among the reeds in the basin
They dance and sway as if welcoming me
And I sway with them back
Caught up in the power that charges the air
That threatens to sweep me away
If the ground will just loosen its hold
The thunder rumbles a low welcoming growl
And I get pleasently lost within it
I am so small compared to its vastness
I close my eyes and succumb to the skies wishes
Rising higher until my feet no longer touch the ground
My fingertips touch the liquid color of the stars
A sigh drifts from my lips
There is no need of thought to stay afloat
There is no demand to breathe in air
No crushing weight upon my chest
As my lungs struggle to survive
There are no struggles here
I make my bed on blackened clouds
And give in to the call
The storm has claimed me as its own
It was such a struggle to stay upon the ground
When the storm would call me home

Lacerated Wings

They are bound to the Earth like trees
Suffocating under the weight of an icy grave
Reaching to be free, but only their limbs are seen
Hoping that one day someone will see:
They can't escape with lacerated wings

The ocean surrounds me, covering everything
Nothing will be clearly seen; confusion overwhelming
No-one can save you, you're on your own, left to die
Manipulating every bleeding heart you can find
I can't escape with lacerated wings.

Swarms of nets, waves of screams
Entangle: your captive illusions and dreams
The mask has be seared - The truth now they see
The Liar - Vampiric Fiend; lowly thief
And now they know you can't escape with Lacerated Wings

There's reasons for your rejections:
Your Heavy heart's transferred oppression
The scars are too deep to pass the trials
But you can find peace in your cage of empty spirals
You Cannot Escape With Lacerated Wings

The unexpected

The man in the dark mask turns his head
To face the crowd with evil eyes,
The crowd cry out with screams of dread
But he carries on amidst their cries

As he emits a booming laugh,
Which seems to echo, through the night,
He carries on his reign of wrath,
And slaughters everyone in sight

But one small, frail, child
Decides the masked man will be beat
And runs though crowds with bodies piled
And kneels down at the masked mans feet

The rogue looks down with chilling eyes
Upon the small child on the floor
And as he wields his knife to strike
Lets out a sudden painful roar

Beneath his legs the child had crawled
And stabbed his spine with one small knife
And when the brutal man did fall
His throat was slit to end his life.

The Forest

A woodland path stippled with sun, hushed and quiet -
but the path I found myself on was a dark and dangerous one.
I'd been blackberrying - bramble-scratched, branch-slapped -
snapping from barbs berries fat as leeches
seeping blood-juices on my fingers.
Wood anemones opened pale hands to reach for me,
their fragrant star faces enticed me.
They beckoned, pulling me further and further away
from the world I knew and deeper into the wood.

The forest closed around me, trapping me
in a tangle of twining paths and trembling trees,
the ground layered with brown and golden leaves.
Treetops cackled with the black caws of crows,
bushes bled red berries, grasses lashed my legs.
And every time the footpath forked
I went deeper, I went darker.
Tick-tock time slowed to a crawl,
watch hands wound backwards.

The whispering wood grew dimmer;
what little light there was struck trees and disappeared.
Fly agaric mushroomed into blood-raw open sores,
ivy ropes dangled nooses from branches.
Crying was useless, my panic-forced tears were hopeless.
Moles mouldered, luminous with maggots,
rabbits rotted, their throats ripped out.
Sky turned ink-dark, lonely wood-wild nights engulfed me.

With time, thoughts of home began to fade,
the seething forest seemed friendlier;
trees were a tease of teal and green,
rippling with strange and teeming life.
Amber algae scorched sunsets on umber bark,
wood sorrel crept, beetles burrowed, lichens came alive.
The forest floor was feathered with ferns
and plush with sponge-soft moss.
Now and again I caught the briefest glimpse of blue,
cool and welcome as water,
and once or twice, through distant trees, I spotted
what I took to be the twinkling lights of a town,
but it was only rainbow flickers glinting on leaves.

I've been gone too long, I'm too far gone.
Faint memories of home still siren-sing to me,
but just when I think I've found the right track
the forest tightens its grip, drawing me back.

Conspiracy: Who Killed The Easter Bunny

A crowded table, all suspended in shock
The sound of the shot dimming to a ‘knock’
Only silence, except for the marching clock
The weapon still smoking; an anonymous glock
WHO KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY?

Loud cries arise from the elongated table,
Jack Frost is shocked, the Tooth Fairy unable
To speak whilst Santa is checking the stable
For clues on the erstwhile maidservant Mable
WHO KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY?

They searched for hours, called in C.S.I,
Panic set in, would the children all cry?
Sandman confirmed the bunny had died
Batman suspected somebody had lied
WHO KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY?

Guests were quizzed, interrogations began
The mystery unfolded when Santa Claus ran,
Grabbing the pies, he tried escaping in a van
But was stopped in his tracks by superman
SANTA KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY!

ZOMBIE DAWNING

-- James Ph. Kotsybar

The zombies are coming; no one knows why –
no time to ponder such things anyhow.
Apocalypse gives us no time to cry.
Survival is all we can think of now.

They hunt for us in slow, relentless mobs
and push past all our barricades by force.
We stifle our screams and swallow our sobs
to realize we are just their food source.

There may exist a ruling, safe elite –
the privileged who caused our current woes
and watch us as we’re torn apart like meat –
but likely they’re no better off. Who knows?

For us, they won’t sweep in to save the day.
To them, we never mattered anyway.

quaternity

so far the days of singing rays
have come to meet their sullen end
twixt nights of joy with hidden ploy
a sweetly tone, they do offend

O gasp! the serpent true must strike
O gasp! the lustful raging psych
whose cares are lost forever long
roaring out, O hear my song!

now mute...peace...whist...still
ideas soon drain, decisions fill
a mind at pace with thoughts that spill
float soundlessly thy solstice chill

the misty seep, foreboding reap
emotions run amok like thieves
for darkly cast, a favored past
along is lain misguided leaves

Giving In To The Gray

Overwhelmed with fear I whispered into the rain
Disarming defenses, Giving in to the gray
Tearing down all of my shelter within my hollowed decay
While this echoing silence gave every tear drop a name
They begin filling the voids with mundane hopes for a change
Heaven will save me from this hell and blue skies will reign
Lazily lay in green grass watching clouds drift away
It's all but a deflated dream now that the colors have changed
My thoughts have become restless noise of uncertainties rearranged
Damning all of my emotions, lies decorated with grace
Now I stand with a hardened heart in the sobering autumn rain
I'm disarmed and defenseless, Giving in to the gray

Push Up

i could sit here. day in and day out
thinking of the most proper way
to let the ink in the pen spill out
but as of late im feeling prehistoric
so much weight on my shoulders
and i dont know where to go
resuscitate my soul
look back up and head to the goal

so much evil around. i feel like the devils workin double shifts just to bring me down.
on the road to redemption
you can take a seat up in the front section
just so you can feel the emotions
in this electric notion

i've done a lot of things that hide the halo
let it all collaborate when i medicate
now look at me, mind workin like plato
formulate a new path to take so i can
maneuver through all the mistakes
we all know we cant change what we've already made
but we can change the next thing we create
startin to sound like a serenity prayer
5 steps till im thirty
and the twenty four before i was never a player
found out when the lights came back on im strictly a lover
its the strongest drink for your soul, when its thirsty
so careful how much you intake or be left hungover
even worse be the one she ran over

i dont mean to come off like im too deep
but the obstacles made there way through just to scrape through
and leave me suffocating
just for me to re-invent a new way to breathe, re-decorating

is your life so complicated
you rather wet up your pillows and revoke from the life you live
just think of your kids mourning
theyll never see that pretty face in the morning any more
cheer your self up
you got a lot to live for
your a gem and im that friend
trynna appraise the value
that you dont see inside of you

just another day for him
goin about
searchin wonderin what his purpose is
running in circles
till he found a way through all the turbulence

Darkness

when you're fast asleep
and thoughts creep into your head
and flood your brain until it weeps
and your mind descends dark and deep
into a land of dead end worlds
where the only way out
is the way you came in
but the road is way too steep
and your feet are made of lead
and every smile is just pretend
and nothing is to be believed
and you're going off the deep end
bleeding rivers of hatred
into a pool of shallow deceit
where every thought is colored red
and every shade of black completes
every nightmare ever conceived
born of blood-stained dreams within dreams
where that person you used to be
is falling into skies of silent screams
and contemplating death
all the while wishing
to be alive again

Silver Ships

Written May 31, 2013

The sun does rise
Over silver ships sailing in the sky
Rain on down on our parade
In a concrete jungle
The kids come out to play
Masked by this dreadful masquerade

A cosmic dance where stars collide
The kids and parents run to hide
Shelter from the enemy above
Who light up the sky with lightning bugs

The land is dark and the sky is black
Mothers pray the birds will not come back
Be it by barren land or vicious sea
Lord just hear our plea

The sun does rise
Over silver ships sailing in the sky
Rain on down on our parade
In a concrete jungle
The kids come out to play
Masked by this dreadful masquerade

You are the Good: I am the Evil

You are the light of a day,
I am the darkest of grays.
You are the significant Sun,
I am the forgotten Moon.

You are the sweet make-believe dreams,
I am the tragic nightmares.
You are a glorious angel,
I am a dreary demon.

You are the bright rainbow,
I am the dull rain.
You are the boat that floats,
I am the anchor that sinks.

You are the peaceful Valley,
I am the destructive war.
You are the tame beauty,
I am the wild beast.

You are the precious living,
I am the shallow dead.
You are the glistening stars,
I am the darkening night.

You are the wonderful strength,
I am the terrible weakness.
You are the beautiful heavens,
I am the unpleasant hells.

Nature's Sigh

The Black butterfly waves away her adorations
All she seeks is seclusion, subsuming slave to mortification
The Dear Air is all she can breath, captive of imaginary dreams
The Beacon resonates, but the hope isolates
The Wasteland's silky fingers caressing the virgin's face

So she is now, the covet of the damned
Programmed to every victim's pain
Carrying the weight of every sorrow
Drowning in wrongs she does not know
But paradise is at loss; she must go

Nature sighs after the bite
All my hopes fading
Don't look at me with those sorrowful eyes
How do you know exactly what I'm feeling?
I'm just the ghost flower passing by
And you can hear nature's sigh

Stones

Your words are like stones
Whether skipped or thrown
Destination unknown
They fly alone
Bruising and breaking deeper than bones

Yet pain from these stones will never be shown.

Whether near or far
She'll faithfully wait
Till the unknown date
When those stones are kind and lost of hate

You make mistakes
Yes she can relate
But what if the pain becomes to great
Whe the kindness comes too late

Such small pieces of her heart
whats left to make
She gave to much
Now there's none to take

Just one everlasting ache
That your stones did create

They say you can never retake
A women's heart once it breaks

So next time withhold the quake
Your stones with take
And keep this lesson
As a dear keepsake.

Dying to Live

Dying to Live From off this bier I will arise one day. And nothing that has cowered me before, Will hie me back again from whence I stray; I leave, and seal the mausoleum door. When from that threshold that I do depart, I leave my travails lying on the floor. Knowing that this new life stands apart, I turn my back on fear I cannot tame. Determining that I will make a start, Where love and hopes rebound, and bear not shame. But fear will not hinder my hurried flight, From hush-voiced days I lost that whispered blame. And though I stumbled through with blinded sight, I boldly challenge terror-shrouded night.

The Truth of the Dragon-Knight

Last knight Eye dreamed Eye was a dragon with wings made from disdain and shaped like quaking fear that burned holes through my subconscious imaginings. Eye was gliding soundlessly thru dark clouds, thunder, and rain, while the Slayers stood below, grounded in tyranny and trying to pull Me from the knight sky...Then Eye could hear, then Eye watched thru Dragon-I's as arrows joined my flight...trying to penetrate the hard scales of My spiritual skin. The muted sharpness of the arrows' dancing ricocheted off of Me.

Then Eye cried. Not in agony or pain or sadness...no

Eye cried in echoing defiance of the oppression of blind slavery and meaningless denial. Eye belched blue and green flame and roared aloud--as loud as my Dragon-voice would carry. Eye scorched the minds of the lie-ers and self-made martyrs (there, the ones who were carrying the omission of Truth of this world).

The Slayers still stood their ground. They kept circling around and around under Me...but Eye kept pumping My neck, Eye kept beating My wings, but still the Slayers came...more and more of them...

Eye dived down deep toward their barren landscape (My Own Hunting Ground!!); Eye needed to see their torn, hated faces...Men, all. They kept their hoods drawn, their faces hidden from My I's. But their bodies were bare and naked to My Dragon-flame, naked to the force of My righteous wrath. Eye swept down closer, closer until Eye could smell the scents of their sweat and dried blood (of conquered servants before), and Eye could see, even count, the dark hairs sprouting from greasy, dirt-clogged pores. Eye could see that some bore vehement scars, jagged marks streaking across their man-flesh.

Their weapons were crude, mostly: wood axes, scythes, cudgels, kitchen knivez sharpened to a murderous edge...the only sophisticated armaments were their bows, their arrows. The bows were of blood and bone and tendon and blind fear, the sinewy string woven with acceptance of the Truth...how odd (the Truth that they must stand and fight a common enemy as a single unit, that they must stop war amongst themselves to do so)...and their arrows were bound with Hope and Reason, that Eye would die before them, that they would live on. The bows were more beautiful than the Slayers deserved to wield, but they commanded them with such grace and poise and proficiency...

The Truth is Eye, the Dragon-Knight, and the Slayers are all of mankind's fear and war and social stigma among thorns...

Their bows were the making of Truth and Love and Acceptance, only constructed and command-able when mankind will stand together and open their I's and see.

The prison of the keys

And now I've lost my papers,
My passport and my wife,
The very essence of
My identity and life.

My bank account is empty,
My cloths and garments sold,
My skin and bones are ashes,
Spread thin on the open road.

My old car's broken down,
No wheels to touch the floor,
The motor been dismantled,
Stripped clean down to the core.

The bailiffs and the policemen,
Have emptied my abode,
The promises I made you,
Have been auctioned out and sold.

The love I hold within me,
Is all that I now have left,
The rest is bleak illusion,
The bind man and the deaf.

The imaginary people ,
I thought were my friends,
Have left the scene forever,
As the road of life does bend.

And now I stand alone,
Upon this lonely hill,
I gaze upon the meanings,
The years have silently killed.

In the roaring storms of thunder,
In the lightning in the night,
In the whispering of the children,
In the white doves lonely flight.

In the dust of many ages,
That has settled on my soul,
In the ashes of my humanity,
That has filled my begging bowl.

The ancient breeze is blowing,
Calling me to my knees,
To behold the light within me,
In the prison of the keys.

Fear

Written June 25, 2012

Dim the lights
No one knows
Silhouetted indisposed

Can you hear
Children's fears
The darkness will be here

By the time
You can see
The light that buries me

You will know
All that's glitters
Is not gold

Walk the path
Satan's wrath
Will enter through the back

Door is closed
Think you know
Why the Lord has brought is here

Are you telling me lies
Through your eyes
On and on I'll tell you're wrong
Until the day is done

Shimmering Darkness

She woke up everyday
to the beckoning of death's toll.
But decided to embrace life,
pulling herself from the darkened hole.

With a new brightness in her eyes,
she lived life as partially buried gold.
Never afraid of the darkness,
or what the future may hold.

Shimmering beneath the dirt,
her beauty shall now unfold.
True legacy lies hidden to reign,
for a prodigy has risen from bitter cold.

One example of grace goes far,
farther then any story ever told.
With strength that comes from deep within,
that's been held from days of old.

Among the majority she lived,
witnessing atrocities flare.
From her soul she would always give,
though no one seemed to care.

As the bells of sadness began to ring,
she would rise above the gloom.
Out of darkness and despair she would sing,
with a melody that filled the room.

The tears that had fallen proved as strength,
to her ever-impending light.
Onward traveling to any length,
for what she believed was right.

When darkened paths shimmer,
despite the pangs of apathy,
through life she will always glimmer,
no matter what the tragedy.

Growing Emptiness

My flesh and bone, can't seem to hone
in on the substance I once had
Right and wrong, difference known
I never can choose anymore good over bad
I once was an optimistic hope filled inspiration
Now consumed by an empty shallow occupation
Fame, sex, drugs, feels good to the touch
but never, inevitably, amounts to much
Loving pleasure, hating to face pain
The suppression just makes me insane
Selfishness, recklessness and pride prevail
My half hearted attempts at decency always fail
Not because normalcy is unattainable
But because I choose instead to have my belly full
Once I chose depth and sincerity over surface greed
When darkness calls I now heed
While these things seem to satisfy now
I can't help to see my outlook on life is increasingly foul
A self inflicted wound, I must admit
I know this life is not a good fit
Once again I'm reminded that time after time
and all the same signs
I just can't seem to repress
This growing emptiness

the beast and me

There's fire in my lungs.
smoke flows through my veins.
I feed the beast my soul
to gain euphoric pain.
I serve he who lives in me.
The monster in my mind.
The creature so abusive,
at times can be so kind.
In my mental hell,
I sit beside his throne.
I tend to his desire,
so I don't have to be alone.
Here He is my god.
And I, in turn, am his.
A symbiotic worship,
sealed within a kiss.
Sulfuric fumes consume us,
as we dance into the ether.
The hands of god are ours.
Hes made me a believer.
My halo, so very worn.
His horns, so alluring.
Hand in hand we walk,
love and hate enduring.
His guidance lifts me higher
than any drug could try.
His chains hold me down.
bound wings can not fly.
Walking straight and tall,
crawling on my floor.
I am his moonlit goddess.
And his filthy whore.
I wont break his binds.
I wish not, to be free.
I can never escape him,
for this beast is me.

Bathsheba

The juggler moves his fingers fast,
he likes to smile and to deceive,
when people laugh at his recast,
his goal's higher things to achieve,
for Bathsheba applauds and laughs.

Her hands she claps with sullen glee,
changed him to a marionette,
that sprawls for her obediently,
       jinxed tragicomical duette,
       he jumps defeating gravity.

The juggler walks on tightened rope,
St. Bernard will protect his act,
frail equilibrium's postponed,
he'll pass across, crows' croaks detract,
agleam granite pavement's below.

Unmoved he laid, (lost souls misgive) ,
the juggler sprawled did not bemoan,
the sawbones's charlatan and thief,
as Bathsheba failed to dethrone,
the clown's tangential unknown grief.

The Canvas of Night

The Canvas of Night

Stars like sprinkled sugar,
lay strewn across the canvas of night,

enthralled by the wonder of the cosmos,
my dreams take to the heavens in effervescent flight,

I bathe in the beauty, soaked in sublime delight,
absorbed in moments of bliss, transfixed by the serene sight.

Stars like sprinkled sugar,
lay strewn across the canvas of night,

and my being is infused with feelings of hope,

for even in darkness I find the sprinkled sugar of hope's light.

note: special thanks to one of my heroes, the late Dr. Carl Sagan, for making science accessible to younger me, many, many moons ago.

You Are Rich

Festered lament maddens me
Why must the despair of my heart’s desire
Truly enlighten me?
I rested among the sick and lame
And found myself no different from the rest
For a troubled mind holds endless poverty
Penniless regret marks as a sickness no doctor can prescribe
For the bottles of balm are empty
And medicinal hope grows angry
I derived my madness from creativity
Revealing the remains of my humanity
‘Cool off, child’, I heard a soft voice whisper
But can’t you see I live off the flame?
It asks for no nickel or dime!
But it seeks to destroy all the same
The small voice returns at times
And often my heart listens
But we all listen
And only believe in the inevitability of pain
I speak of the majority
Not of you
For you are blessed and beyond disgrace
You have a life—a beautiful face

And most of all, you are rich
With attributes I can only dream of

You are rich with life and purpose
Holding inscrutabilities I can only wish to understand
You lift me without touch or care
Disposing me from your treasures
Because though you meant no harm,
You are rich with blessing
And must remove all possible threats
So my festered lament
Remains an enlightenment

I can say I am rich in poverty
But you are forever rich
In Mystery

What hurts the most is knowing
I may be wrong about you
For you are so obscure in this mind
And as empty as I am I wish to be filled
In your richness
But we all are filled to the brim in the end
And sometimes I cannot distinguish the good from the bad
There is nothing I wish to discard
So I hoard in constant deficiency and despair
And I hoard the idea that you are beyond compare

That you are rich
And always will be richer
Than me—or he

The Broken Girl-not me

Is my life not tortured enough for you to see?
I am broken as can be.
My heart is torn.
My tears stain these perfect floors.
Why are singing with glee?
Why do you not care about my every plea?
I am trapped in your arms.
I am the hopeless moth.
How did you pick me?
What is it that you see?
A girl untouched by life?
A flower blooming in the desert?
I have said goodbye to my loving integrity.
You took that from me through R-A-P-E.

Eternal Dream

When I begin to meditate
About the life before now
And the life that is due to prevail
Deep in this thought
I heard calls from no where
 Chanting into my ears
A note of warning
“Don’t let the trees surrounding
 This wide fence fall”
Amid this puzzling call
I unearth from a far
Mix voices flaunting a goal
“We will not sheathe our swords
Until all our desires come to pass”
In between these dilemma I inquire
On whose command will lives live?

Her Final Words

"No." She whispered before drowning into her sorrows.
Her life had been a simple happy one.
There were no pains and no troubles.
Life was life and people were people.
Life was simple.
and life was all about tomorrows.
Life didn't know about sorrows.
Her sorrows.
Those same sorrows that she drowned in never existed.
They were never there, but where?
First to be sad in the naive town of joy.
Sorrow became contagious and what was known as happiness no longer was there.
It was non-exististent.
A meager thought
and a blessed memory.
She tried and tried.
She failed and failed.
Life was no longer hers.
For Pain was her only possession.
Her curse.
She lived and she died.
Yet, her legacy was passed on.
Never was it gone.
"No." She whispered before drowning in her sorrows,
"Save them."

From Garden To Throne

For years, I walked through my garden of excuses,
beautifully laid out, symmetrical and abundant.
The tapestry of seduction and deceit, fertile ground
for my field of illusions, with new growth ripening,
under the constant warmth of the gliding sun.
Blissfully, I tended that site, accessible to no one,
ritually, I covered my tracks, and gave nothing back.

Until the weather changed. My labyrinth garden,
my identity came under siege, the wind and the rain
washed it all away, exposing the broken bedrock below.
My barren soul, rootless and drained, drifted into dark
shadows without a trace. Freedom claimed me,
Illuminated me, called me home. My watery eyes
and fragile, pounding heart became my throne.

Does the War Ever Really End

A moment stauls...
Somewhere in between
What shall always be...
Known as my lost and forever hour

Where I wake to sounds of thrashing rains
A clock sits staring, ticking and tocking
My own darkness illuminating lightning
Distant thunder following her in shame

Although, throes of raven blackness
Slumber holds on to the pitch
But, I pass through limbo hallways of surreal
Stumbling forth in directions by my blinded feel itch

Walls of lucid memories like dripping paint
Begin to lapse deep into the younger years
And creaking footfalls shatter their echo
Of certian remembered fears

"Ah" deja vu sounds the alarm even further
Cracks from father’s room, is the ceiling leaking?
Into my little ears I'm more awake
As I hear the faint famaliar tears of weeping

My curiosity ever stronger than before
And innocent eyes through doorways peer
It’s the war again; Mom said he tried...
To leave it all behind, but still it's always there

And the storm's outside, but in a booming violence
Rushes back surreal into the unforgotten killing
The death, its experiences still locked up
Within his mind never free or escaping

A heroes love is his strength
Protecting me from a world with terrible pains
But, somehow I’ve learned to understand
That he needs his son, to calm his troubled angst

And silently I step
Inching slowly towards him
And nestle up within his trembling hands
Tugging upon one sleeve whispering "Dad, oh dad?"

“God has sent me here”
I say directly in his ear
Quieter now “To love you”
My tone gentle to his needs

Wiping away his tears
He whispers back...
“I know”
And picks me up, relieved

And in turn we face the scene
Of a passing storm into silence
As the rain seems alive to notice
Stopping to watch our mends in evanescence

We are somewhat aware we are within God's presence
Looking to each other with a shrug
And then my dad holds me up
Giving this boy the biggest hug

Beneath the returning quiet
And the ambience of moonray light
He carries me back to my room
And places me into bed amid the last flash of white

Pulls the blankets up
Knowing this will comfort me
And I’ll never forget the words
He said so effortlessly

“One day...
You will have a son
Always let him know you love him
And your bond will never end”

Again I wake, this time
To the sounds of an apologetic rain
The lightening has ceased its battle
And the thunder it no longer blames

I unwind the blanket
And uncover and sit
Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes
Awake, on the edge of bed

Was this a dream?
Or a twist of fate reality?
I ponder, running fingers through my hair
And, merely reflect upon it

Then I realize…
I was not alone
Dad is watching, not far away
And I know one day, I'll see him soon, after heaven's gates

Three Souls

One was a child
so sweet and mild
Voice of a bell
to ward off hell

One was a bell
with a crystal chime
To comfort the cat
and make the earth shine

Two was a cat
With a mysterious past
A dark view of the world
And a horrible wrath

Two was a mind
as dark as night
To protect the doll
That could not see the light

Three was a doll
With a broken soul
A shattered heart
With eyes a black hole

Three was a rose
Of pure white
Covered in thorns
As black as night

Living on the edge

Sometimes
I feel like I'm stood on the edge of a cliff
swaying too and throw
in a icy cold biting wind
staring down
at the dark deep caesium below
never knowing
from one moment to another
which way I'll go.

Hoping someone
will come along
and reach out and grab my hand
and save me.

but until then
I stand here and sway.

A snowman with arms akimbo

A melting snowman begs in the troubled tired minds
Dirty snow at the Crossroads of times and the winds,
Revives fountain purling the first word, gold rain:
How to share happiness from the high mountain?

The same, melting into the gray masses of secularization,
The bitter taste of freedom as a necessity, globalization
Of conviction and imagery for poets in times of need,
With sweat emanation of democratic transitions that feed
Our misunderstood freedom and what else might be?
 In the abundance of the unimportant things so free;
And the crisis of the essential ones...calling stability
Like little Prince and forgotten language of Morality.
Like the dream in another incredible long dream,
The landscape is covered by so much ice-cream,
That never-never paid hopes grew as glorious grass
In the horizon of strawberries and invincible glass;

How many eyes look at the wrinkles of those mirrors?
There sun dies and sometimes arises to face new dangers.
Like in the unforgettable party of each blond spring;
Like Narcissus who saved himself in the fountain ring;
Like alliteration in remarkable moral nations,
That lived in the desert of changeable motions
Of obedient stripped dunes under the power of wind,
Calling the thirsty camel in the horizon ready to bind
The earth and the sky around the shinning red moon:
And all those without heart will be lost in that afternoon?

Even mountains of rice can be moved by the new faith,
From desert, in the frozen Europe with white wreath;
There Sisyphus guided generations in the realm of ethics,
And new prophets lead crowds of poll sweat heretics;
Counting endangered ethical animals in the national park.
At Poles, imaginary people live their half life in dark.

Infinity

Cannot be defined,
cannot be contained,
never even seen it,
will make you go insane.

always unknown,
keeping my eyes wide open,
quicker than the slowest liquid,
steeper than the smallest mountain.

deeper than dished pizza,
bigger than beaches on Ibiza,
can't even believe it,
always deceived by it,

thicker than mocha,
tastier than hot cocoa,
tried touching it,
can't put a smudge on it.

tried to hear it,
but it's already gong,
star dust in an unparalleled wind,
like an old cherished song.

time for the next puzzle,
everything falling to pieces,
gone like strobes in the dark night,
ready for a new lease of light.

Bluebeard

My man is Bluebeard
On this holiday for two
And I don't want to go
To spend every hour asleep or awake
With him
His voice controlling every action
every movement moment.
I will be caught in the might
of his King Kong grip
Alternately controlling
then beseeching
The needy man child
desperate to be loved
that makes this monstrous He
That must subjugate and control the She
To leave nothing to chance
In this the field of love
To hold and crush in his hot hand
the fragile wilting bloom
Content with that death
for ownership is all.

The Bird that is Loved and Loathed

It burns and it stings.
It hurts.
More than drowning beneath
the ice.
More than remaining in a
kindled flame
She hits and I no longer cry.
Why mother, why?

It burned and it stung.
The markings remained,
returned, and were relived
Looking, loving, and little
known loathing were the known
ways of living.
Never was their pity for the
child that cried
Never was their relief for the
child that tried

You were that lovely bird that
understood the complications of
felicity
Nothing looked the same in
those dewy browns of yours.
My everbeating would cry tears
of joy.
The others-they were yet to
appear.
Caring Mother, o' so fair
 You were that beautiful bird
filled with care.

The others came and were not
alone. Their two suitors sat on
the throne.
Rampage and rage why did you
come?
I began to wither and wither
slumping along. So very soon I-
the child of fines- became a
human raceme.
The droops of the Lily of the
Valley became the slumping of
my heart.
My lovely bird the enemy had
taken you and the person you
were is far from near.
For that divine nature left its
intricate self and you became
irretrievable my big bird.
All of your fairness died.
With that went my pride.

Mother, Mother what moved
you so?
Your intense spirt vanished only
to supplement a monster.
Mother, Monster and your tar
filled lungs.
How did I kill that liver that was
so, so strong?
The lesson of pain was one you
came to learn.
My darling bird why did you
turn?

My lovely bird and your big
brown eyes
I'll tell you once, but never
twice.
Pain is only a flower for it
blooms and dies
And a mistake can be killed as
quickly as lice.
You dear bird hurt me well.
Though, haven't you heard?
Weakness is a souls greatest
strength.
You brought me up, then you
brought me down.
You haved helped, hurt, and
hindered my blazing spirit.
A hero in my heart-I left you
down in your deep black
slumber.
Escaping those terrible nights
To go for the town of delights.

The Price

Shivering in silence
Fading in disgrace
I can not name this feeling
But I can recall this place

A kingdom in my nightmares
A vision as I wake
A broken, crying infant
On the throne of my mistakes

I stand outside his city
On the verge of stepping through
The portcullis then closes
Because I’ve denied the truth

Quietly I listen
For the price that must be paid
If I ever wish to enter
I must find something to trade

My sanity seems willing
So I release it into night
Again the vision’s singing
Burning through the light

This time I am crying
Deep within the walls
And in this empty kingdom
A child mourns within his walls

Shivering in silence
Sat upon my throne
With sanity now traded
I am left to fade alone

Oh Sojourner

Oh Sojourner

By Ingrid Showalter Swift

Oh Sojourner

Walk among the tall lithe pines as they sway

beneath

subtle hues of lavender’s dusk

Reach your illuminas fingers
with polished nails a-glittered
in crystal-ed gold and diamond sight
out and into this thrusting long light
…Searing a golden pathway from sky into dark walnut and pine and lines of
these byways ..only angels and devils alone ...dare tread

This forest is a barrier thin enough to breech
so teach me!.....I plead of you....

with lips blazing ... the need to speak volumes…like heat rising

Make me a lit oiled lamp on a tall white post
singing out ...streaming out into the streets gray toned and grayed with the
beating
of the merciless weakness ...of humanity

lead me to hope….. yet still more
and pray

daring out …the dark night

yearning for just yet another... lilt hearted singular spring day to awaken within
the gates of this immortal town
held aloft by bone cavern and pale flesh tenting

Let light green springs erupt from me once more
and flow through all I meet
like the river shows the leaf to the ocean and then to the shore once more

You and I

You and I.

You.

Your heart blazed,
with a warmth of spirit,

soothing,

alluring,

soaked in truth.

Your smile burned,
branding me permanently,

gentle,

tender,

enveloping my being.

Your love was complete,
from the depths of your soul,

unsaid,

yet fierce,

bathed in silent knowing.

Your dreams were poetic,
fluttering in the afternoon breeze,
infused with the distilled essence of rhyme.

I.

I squandered your generosity of spirit.

I vainly discarded your priceless poems.

Now I stand,

alone,

empty,

desolate,

wasting away,

rotting inside, day by day.

Drown

The water in my chest,
And my eyes, they burn,
Lungs burst for air,
They are losing all their turn.

My eyes see the light,
That swims in the water,
And as I sink,
My lungs burn hotter.

I try to breathe,
Yet only choke,
I scratch for the surface,
Pray that it be broke.

But I know that I,
Will soon touch sand,
But only beneath the waves,
I will never touch land.

So I close my eyes,
To be engulfed by the dark,
As as i slip away,
Shines bright, the mark.

The deeper I go,
My dress cling to me,
As I drown,
Sink,
To the bottomless sea.

The Bourgeois and the Spinning Wheel

In a room filled with a solitary red hue
The bourgeois spins a wheel
With no destination, nor need
She will spin until her brittle Hands bleed
Just to satisfy her ennui and artifice
But she does not see - the rien I see
The monster approaching her empty dreams

Spinning still - she does not know
The insomniac rose will begin to grow
The thorn of clandestine and ebony
Ostracized for he began to realize
What lies in nonsense is decadence
Which sparks interest
Who's lover is a dadaist
But his story is over now
As Seth lead the way
A poet dies in dismay

The thorn as she spun penetrated
A distraction and a lack of action
She knew the temptation for she so loved the sensation
Of crass, rebellious - ways
The thought laid it's seed
In her Gaulish mind it breeds
She has no other need and no regrets
So she proceeds and the smile lets
With full intention and desire
Caring none of her fate that will transpire
She presses her finger on the thorn
So now she bleeds knowingly
she did not recede

Emotional Hole

I did not find myself to be so important
So I ask my friends do I seem distant?
When I ask the question I had received an answer, Yes
So I think that made it clear that I had been not the best
I am a friend of a friend that talks so many things
That friend talks to much it is insane and insanity it brings
I do care, about my friends they are all good people
They tend to stand on their high steeple
Today I find myself not so aware
Disbanding my fear of regret and care
Walking many different paths I see that I have found holes
It is the path that people choose to use to fuel their rage with coals
Coals are partially burnt wood or fossils a piece of fuel
It is the source of burden and fire a rage of emotions that stands cruel
It can be warm and caring, but it also can be baring
I just start to feel so low, below the ground I keep on staring
I reach for my friends so many times I feel so ignorant at times
Just once I feel I should not rely on them when feeling I can not find
I dig my hole deeper and I can not climb out
For some reason I am just full of doubt
I care about so many things and what I have is confusion
One person should be all I should think about to get out of that illusion
My battle in my heart and mind is not at all so pleasant
I feel so alone in an island that is shaped like a crescent
My emotions is like coinciding with a diameter of the semicircle
Not a full emotion that is complete like a circle
My feelings is circular full of incomplete thoughts, so much deeper
I feel it will wake up my evil half a evil soul that is a sleeper
What question should I ask myself? to believe that I am not so alone
As I feel like a person who is deteriorating to the bone
I ask my friends the same question once again
I figure I should do it, to know what kind of feelings I should end
So many thoughts that come out of my feeling
I feel like my friends take, an emotional trauma of stealing
They ask me questions and I answer theirs
But when I need mine answered I feel burning inside like a flare
Are they even friends when they do not take me serious in anyway
Just put me in my hole cause I feel nothing in their will be getting in my way
It's just so simple to answer someones problem
I answer friends with beauty of a rose, but when they answer mine I get the stem
I know the stem is very important in life, with out it how can a rose be a rose
With a hole to put the root and stem in how can it grow
The words we speak I guess is like all natural things we reap and sow

Red light, Green light, cigarette buds

Red light, Green light, cigarette buds

Red means stop,
green means go,
cigarette buds punched out in an dirty ash tray
means death is coming for you
and love has run out,
just as the man trying to blow through
the intersection we all know as 'life'
smoking his cigarette clouding his car
with ash and smoke
till the eighteen wheeler rams him off the road
and he turns into fire and ash
like his blackened lungs from all the cigarette buds
that were punched out in the ashtray we all call 'reality'
Red the symbol for blood, which flows from his open wounds
green for his greed for rushing through life
and the cigarette buds that littered his so-called 'great life'

THE BLOOD OF HUMANITY

The Book of Revelations showed the slaughtering of souls and The Lord’s Army was the carrier of the deed. The blood of humanity would be the precede. The blood of humanity rolled to the pearly gates. The ending of time had come to pass as stated. The spirits of humankind is in the blood. Judgment day had come. Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ Lord appeared and humanity was gendered again. Many did not see this prophesy in THE WORD and therefore, it was not foretold that humanity would lose their souls. St. John the Divine was found to be in a psychosis by a socio-political and socio-religious person and she was the only one knew but she was not a leader anyone would listen to. Then the horrid came and humankind was silence by the armor of THE ALMIGHTY GOD and life was taken from us. The stillness shook and the people of the world rose and the Lord passed down judgment and the Gates of Heaven squealed to prepare for the souls that were lost to humanity but none entered because all was with sin. The Second Earth formed and the Lord knew that these people would be immortals and live long lives. However, eternity is in Heaven and Hell is where life truly transpires. ___________________________________________________________| ~Published July 16, 2012 (in) Thirty-One Days by (Nom De Plume) Poetic Oblivion Stareyes - Dark Sun~

Signs

The signs are here, for all to see,
The thunder clouds, the dying tree.
The shining lights, that draw you near,
Loud heavy music, in your ear.

By word of mouth, or through cyber space,
The hidden pictures, of your face,
The northern lights, are dancing south,
The rumours you hear, by word of mouth.

The sign are falling, from the sky,
Raining stars, on the passers by,
While the battle rages, on underground,
The innocent dying, without a sound.

The cries of heaven, the screams in hell,
That no one hears, down in this well,
The terrible beauty, the open wound,
The innocent babies, in open tombs.
For all to see, for all to hear,
The blind man's painting, the deaf man's ear.

The birds are falling, the fishes drowned,
What once was up, has now become down,
The tender and loving, an empty shell,
The gross and the ugly, now the rallying bell.

The signs are here, for all to see,
Titanic sinking, on a blood red sea.

Dying with a Smile

Love is an unspoken form of maschism
And it's slowly killing me inside.
Each minute of silence
A lost beat of my heart.
My ribs are all knives now
Stabbing my flesh and making it bleed.
My heart feels vast, hollow
Cold,
Like a hundred story skyscraper-
its residents packed up and left suddenly with out so much as a note on the door
And their rent unpaid.
And each day my skin screams and tries to escape my body and I saw at it with broken glass in an attempt to set it free but I can't.
I am trapped.

And our love is the five ton anchor pulling me beneath the waves.
Our love is the air bubbles frothing from my mouth and the cries of my lungs as they are
filled with the sea.

And our love is the smile on my face that doesn't dare fade despite the pain.

Our love is the hope that soon
I won't need to breathe.
That the chains will break and set me free
To wash ashore with the millions of others and watch them stand up and brush the sand from their hair and turn to bask in the sun's embrace.

Our love is what breaks my legs, keeps my back to the sun and my eyes locked on the dark waters in the hopes that you will emerge and grasp my hand and help me stand!

Our love will starve me
And burn me
And deprive me of sleep.
I will die for our love before I leave this shore without you by my side.
And maybe,
Just maybe,k
I can smile for once without the pain.

The Caged Bird

Four white walls
and a bird,
trapped in steel cage
not free, not happy.
The walls they laugh,
closing in, holding
the bird hostage.
No windows,
no doors,
just four white walls
closing in,
on the caged bird.

I hear crying,
tears of sorrow,
so sweet, yet so sour.
It is the bird
trapped in the rusted cage-
No, just my soul
crying out,
for a warm embrace.

GROWING UP

On the empty floors I am watching the nights roll
flowing in other nights.
Nature's mirror has come to give birth and to destroy
the typhoons are embracing me, an unstoppable power
in my two arms.
Between logic and the holy the notions are lost
I am turning blue inside the sky's blue.
And I return again and again to repay the same sin
upon which my own blood has dropped
and with blood I try for centuries to pay.
My form is drawing circles
-what is your name?-my name is Human.
Can this mortality embrace the darkness?
Can my bare hands hold within them the air?
I was born for the renaissance of colours,
I threw green and yellow at the edge of the horizon,
I painted red the lost dreams of history
and I placed white on all the spots of the sky.
I was born to destroy and I dig pits everyday,
I bury inside them living truths and I cover them with shovel and water.
Be quiet! The seasons are sleeping...
With small knives I carve the corners of the world
until I find the bone to puncture it, deeper and deeper.
Our fears are breaks of the Universe
they are transfered from planet to planet,
they change orbit, while cleaving the clouds.
''Learn how to walk, learn how to talk, learn how to kiss, learn how to leave, learn how to love, learn how to kill"...
Hollow bodies at the mountains top are burning with the flames of redemption.
They carry the same rock everyday, everynight until they reach the end,
the end that doesn't exist.
They fill the glasses with water, the glasses that dont have bottom.
Don't ask me to change the world, you only gave me soil but you have forgotten the water
and with hands dry and dirty I collect time to repay you
for your graces, because there is light and there is darkness, because I stop in front of red and I walk in front of green.
But you don't know, you don't, that I find strenght everyday, since I opened my eyes,
I am preparing in silence and I am clentcing my teeth
because the time will come, when I will throw a big punch at this carton world,
I will tear it up in half and I will see what lies behind,
behind the lie.
Shaken off from my dirty morality
I will touch the sacred redemption
I will wake up from the dream,
I will embrace at last, for the first time, reality.

Another Night of Dread

It is dark and night outside my window,
and in the soundless, lit confines of my
room I sit at my old, ivory desk

cheerless

and anxious with dread for what the rest
of another night may bring.

My ostomy bag, an abhorrent creature that
hugs precariously on one side of my abdomen,
covers my raw and fleshy stoma underneath.

Against my desire, the stoma continually oozes
feces and waste

like a sewer into the ostomy bag, which,
every seven days or so ruptures its seal
and transforms into

a stinking and rancid cabbage

whose fetid odor refuses to stop emanating
until the entire, offensive beast is immediately
uprooted from my body.

So, I sit at my ancient, ivory desk, writing
these cherry-picked words to express

the anxiety and the doldrums
of another night;

and the lonely, isolating, embarrassing, humiliating,
ego-wiping, self-esteem killing, mind-numbing,
soul-shattering, universal, all-embracing,
omni-present

stench

that weekly offends my nostrils and fills my lungs
because of a thoroughly used-up ostomy bag that
needs to be removed immediately

like an old, decaying vegetable
that has outlived its
freshness--

It is another cheerless night in the same, old
cheerless space:

the nose-blistering smell, however, is only for
another night...

Assuage Life

I'm the One to who you should pray;
I'm the Voice that shall never fade away,
I'm the Daemon that haunts your 3am sleep,
I'm the Whisper that eases your weep...

And in this novella, your lissome dreams,
I'm your nightmare; your midnight screams!
- I'm the Yeshua that can make pain fade,
I'm the abolition of the razorblade...

Clad in shadow I stalk your soul,
Invisible but yet in perfect control.
Thus let my voice be your destination
Away from a world with flawed harmonization.

So why cope with a life so bleak?
which has done nothing more but make you weak?
Take my hand and I'll assuage it,
Follow me down to Death's tethered pit...

Here we are, welcome to the Abyss,
Don't worry about people, you won't be amiss.
Give me a smile, a shotgun smile,
Don't worry about pain, atleast not for a while!

Aw, how your mind was delicately bent,
Like the Eye on the Earth's breast you'll descent,
Deep in it's crust, to Oblivion you fell;
A warm hearted welcome to Lucifer's Hell...

The Box

Where I live is in between
A memory and a dream
Walking a tightrope each day
I light my self on fire
And take a big box
And head down Main Street
The weasels in the front of Bill’s Cafe
Love it, spewing hate and spit
And laughing at me because they don’t know
What I know
I know the truth
The cold hard dark truth

Yes I have seen the burning bush
I have stood on the mountain
I have heard the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.
And I too have a dream
I have dream that one day a man
Will not have to live in a box on the streets of Bogota
The slums of Shanty Town will rise above the sewage
That the stench of death on the road to the Congo
Will rise over our heads and blow towards the lands of freedom

Once the west has felt and seen the pain our brothers are in
We shall as a people, as a nation, as a world rise up and crush the inequities of
Poverty and prejudice and cast off the yoke of oppression.
I see that day as clearly as I see the dream of the ancient God’s
They will crumble at our feet and we shall walk upon them as Jesus
Walked on water.

Come one, come all ye sinners for Jesus is a trick on the weak and faithful.
The men of the cloth need you to believe.
Don’t fear the truth because you will never know it.
Trust in me for I will save you.
Now how about a bit of money for your savior?
Kneel by the alter, supplication
Come boy help your Father

I need the box you see for it is my home
I live (if you call it that) on the streets
Of America’s home towns
I’m on the corner of your cities
The greenbelts of your suburbs
I am the coyote of humanity
And I am coming to take apart your lives
Limb by limb, bank account by bank account
Your debit cards and credit cards can’t buy my loyalty
I will disembowel your nuclear family
And leave you wishing that your Beamer
Wasn’t bloody red
I will wash the streets with your sin

And then I will go back and live in my box
Alone with my dream.

Hard to Not Look, Easy to stay Staring

I've allowed that burning boat to float off without me
Rarely ever thinking about dissipating the flames,
As it is hardly worth the time and effort.
In Truth,
There wasn't much of a future with that situation.
No matter the attempts
No matter the appeal
It was all for naught
The only thing I worry about now
Is looking back at the Flames
And hoping I am not entranced
By their Dancing Light

You Can Be

What would anyone do
if I woke up one day
and decided I was
going to be the next
murderer?
That I was going to steal my fathers gun,
and of course I start with him,
the feelings so rough,
tears bursting from my eyes.
I move on to my mother,
my brother,
my grandparents,
and with every kill
the emotion ebbs away.
Things get easier.
What would anyone do
if that day I
proclaimed to the world
that I no longer wanted to
live in this world?
I created the noose
from my old Playstation 3 controller cords,
wrote my last words
"To the world, **** you"
and made an ornament
out of myself on the
back of my bedroom door.
What would anyone do
if I decided one day that
The world is full of pixies and unicorns!
that everything was red,
oh but not the light fire red,
but instead the color of blood,
oh how magnificent things look!
I work for the trolls under
the bridge behind my house
he pays me in finger nails!
You told me I can be anything,
do anything,
so why do you look at me like I'm crazy?
I see the fairies, not you,
so who are you to say I'm insane?
They tell me I'm perfectly alright.
I never really understand why
people were comforted by such an obvious phrase,
I KNOW I can do whatever I want!
Just like Jim Jones wanted to
control and murder 1,000 people,
just like how the people of Rwanda
murdered each other;
brothers, fathers, neighbors fighting each other.
So what if I want to conquer china,
put rat poison in all the exports
and watch the world die,
its my decision right?
you told me so,
and I'll plead that,
I'll plead that you told me
I can murder the whole world,
start the zombie apocalypse,
destroy all animals in the world,
when I'm up in that electric chair.
Hello my future,
Good-bye Sanity.

The Anatomy of What Disgusts

A stoma and a scar
like the Grand Canyon
form a conspiracy
against my body.
The stoma--raw and
fleshy--looks like a red
and beefy barnacle on
my side that constantly
oozes and drains feces
and waste like an
overflowing, backyard
cesspool. It sickens me.

Near the red and moist
stoma lies a huge,
crooked scar on my
stomach and abdomen.
It is like the Grand
Canyon of Arizona--an
immense displacement
of the local landscape,
only instead of earth
and rock and soil it is
my skin and muscle
and tissue that has been
gouged away. Like my
stoma, it sickens me as
well. Because of them
both, my body now
feels to me like the
raw anatomy of
what's disgusting.

Death

The cries in the night as you shed your tears,
Nobody to console and hear your fears,
The nightmares as the take control,
Now I shall show you my other face,
Let the nightmares take your peace,
Let the damnation steal your joy,
There is nothing left for you
There was never anything here for you
Death is a note, thats beauty is black,
As the fire inside let it burn you alive,
Death is friend that will take your pain,
Let your pain fester, and infect,
Do what you wish before I interject,
Death is brother who needs your love,
The Funeral Pyres burn your soul.
Welcome to world where damnation reigns,
We all will die someday,
And Death will one day rule us all, its inevitable why try to hide,
Never to be loved to never to love, Death is a note,
A note that rules you

What is Blackness

What is Blackness?

Is it the colour of my skin that represents my mentallity?
Is it the colour of the crown on my head that shows where I reign?
Is it the depth of my soul's missary?
Is it in the contrast indicating my sanity?
Is it in it length indicating my religion?

Because...

It is the colour of the black whole I veiw from, absorbing all I've seen
It is the colour of my shoes indicating where I've been
It is the colour of death drawing me to live
Drawing stregnth from its nothingness compelling me to give
Up suffercating air that makes it hard to breathe
'Cause it the pure symbol of evel but in only God I beieve
'Cause it is the colour of the dreded hair locking brain in a weave.

The Aswang Fable

Day quickly fades into a fearful silent night
Frightful because within the darkness evil comes to life
Abomination that became legend as legend became myth
The Aswang
The wicked epitome of sin
Beautiful by day but a shapeshifting demon in disguise
It has a long disgusting tongue with unspeakable desires
Blood thirsty creatures eating unborn babies in the womb
Fangs that'll transform people into dead flesh eating ghouls
Severing her body from her legs so it can fly
On serpent angel wings preying on its next victim to die
Bayani took his pregnant wife Amor to the hospital for becoming sick
A three day journey from their mountain village will now begin
Theyll travel through the valleys seeking shelter as they go
Amor wearing garlic on her belly protecting her babies soul
Traveling through jungle & deserted roads along the shore
Knowing when they hear a dreadful cry theyre not alone
With every step they take they abhor the falling moon
Something once so beautiful is now impending doom
By dusk they came upon a village but every door was closed
Desperation in their voice they scream for help with little hope
Dismay dripping from their skin so the demon could smell their fear
Before they heard the dreadful cry the Aswang did appear
In horror they banged on every door pleading for some help
But no one gave relief having their own to protect from hell
Bayani remembered legend perhaps there is a way we can survive
Destroy her legs before she reattached her upper body in morning rise
A task that may be difficult because the lower half they have to find
Before they made a move she swooped down with her evil yellow eyes
She grabbed Amor by her throat as Bayani pled for her life
Please let my wife and baby go and in return you can have mine
She said a lovely gesture but be patient youre the next to die
With a evil grin she slit her throat and consumed their unborn baby still inside
Falling to his knees with a broken heart he asked her why
She said I have no compassion or reason and let me tell you why

"Im the first Aswang of this village
A maiden by the day
Im the reflection of their darkness and their evil ways
Desires that cannot be spoken
A blackened heart equally broken
Habits that are disgusting
I am made of nothing
I am the mirror they will never face
The fear that keeps them all awake
But the truth is much more powerful
I am the face behind their faith
The contradiction of forgiveness
For every time you kneel and pray
Im the fear that keeps the children crying and afraid
It started with a lie
Then desires to reach the sky
Which resulted into sadness
but with a deeper understanding why
Sad because I can see the darkness they themselves alone hav caused
Many more will be like me and many already lost
Failed secrets buried forever
And I will be like them
I am also you
If you wear the wickedness of all your sins"

The Cat

Glowing eyes invade the darkness of the night.
A majestic hunter with prey in it's sights.
Slowly moving through the grass, as slient as an empty glass.
A creature with a sullen expression, embraking upon a hunting session.
It srikes from the shadows of the night; giving the prey little change of escape or fight.

A body full of warming fur and makes the sound of a meow or pur.
Pointy ears, thin legs and sharp claws; extending out from padded paws.
This cretaure wears a sumptuous looking coat always shiney and clean; walking with graceful posture like that of a ballroom scene.

It's younger form more playful and small, but soon will grow just as cunning and tall.
Masquerading as innocent family pets and balls of fur; hiding the true heart of a loin waiting to roar.
Some choose to live with families in thier home; well others like the nomadic people enjoy to roam.
Hedonistic in nature like Lord Henry from the story of Dorian grey, the cat hate's having it's pleasurable lifestyle taken away.
Roaming around night and day...... this creature of beauty is always on the hunt; for it's next prey....

Within Me

Within Me

Flowing through the rivulets of my everyday thoughts,
memories of you surface, gasping for air, breathing in,
permeating, absorbed by the pores of my ageing skin.

Famished, greedily gulping mouthfuls of fractured life,
awash in distant yesteryear, when your feathery kisses,
banished the vacuum, dispelling my anguish and strife.

You are eternally carved, and embroidered into my soul,
I wash ashore, smashing against the boulders of the now,
seeking solace, begging for absolution with my empty bowl.

The book of fate is sealed shut, the tea-leaves have been read,
nothing remains within me, the burden of smiling has been shed.

Now I am stranded, between dreams and the empty years ahead,
searching for forgiveness, in the miles I have yet to wearily tread.

be so kind to me

be so kind to me
for i was so kind to you
love me
as i loved you,
(...but you never loved me...
you never saw my love for you-

-for you were blind and still are-

my heart trembles and takes me out of this place-
yet nothing seems real without you...
never did i think i went on without you
(see me now with gold
hear me roar like a lion- but surely pride shall die out...
and i shall walk along the gutter
with a weak mind set back on you and only you

only wish that you'd be so kind to me
for i was so kind to you
and love me
as i loved you

(but it is hard to love a rock
and its hard to water stone- and watch it bloom into a rose-
just be kind
and i shall smile another day
and keep away from the garden of the dead

Tree Houses and Trigger Fingers

I wish I could take this noose from my tongue.
It doesn’t seem to work against the honesty of silver anyway.
I wish I could hang it over the neck of my thoughts and pull it tighter every time they try to choke me with guilt or pessimism.

Well versed in the words it takes to build things up. My lips and sounds paint pictures and build grand cities where the price would be too high but, people would still pay to live there.

Better versed am I in the words that call for demolition. I need not even speak them before, I set all the beauty ablaze and cast those cities to rubble. All the people paying too much can flee or stay but, as the founder and captain I am charged with going down with my ship.

If I could just speak a balance.
Articulate a safe place.
A perfectly leveled tree house with room for one or two.

Lately though, my words and thoughts shake and stutter.
Trip over themselves like my hands reaching for a pen or a pill bottle.
At least that bottle is half way full, I guess.

In love with the thought of the very idea.
I see now, with no lenses, softening my harsh reality.
I must once more, try to focus on myself.
Love myself and prove it.
Reach for the things I need with conviction and not the unsure hands of a child, I've been sporting so well.

I can find a meadow.
No path required.
I will not rest there, I promise but, I may take in the scenery along the way.
I need no hand to hold my own in respective appreciation.
I can see the wonder painted even brighter when it burns with a pang of solidarity.

I will work my words,
My tired feet,
My heavy lungs,
My heart with dented armor.
I will train my hands steady.

And this time when I put something in my sights, I won’t have to hesitate before I pull the trigger, painting the walls and ground with my red victory.

A flower may yet hold promise,
Even in the wrong climate but first, the seed must be planted. Will it bloom?
We are getting ahead of ourselves.

Clear the board and start again.

Immortal Snare

The clock stopped ticking,
my ears are ringing
Tale, tale signs that something is wrong here
Everything looks normal,
nothing out of place
Then I looked in the mantel mirror
And seen that horrid face.
Not the reflection of a man,
or anything I've ever seen
His eyes were so hypnotic
They seemed to lock onto me.
He only spoke two words
but they were loud and clear
They will haunt my soul all my days
He looked at me and said “Just You”
with a blackened tooth grin
He wants me as his princes
His spoils of war so to speak
To make me his blushing human bride
And the queen of all lost souls
This was way more than I could bear
I tried to say no
Each one bringing a crushing blow
Rebuffing his every attempt
each time his anger grew
And my will was becoming spent.
With my final exhausted breaths
I begged NO let me go
And he laughs and swore to kill all I love unless I stayed
I gave myself over
so that no one feels the pain of this immortal snare
So to save all else I gave in
I miss who I use to be
once so happy and care free
Now on fear and hatred is how I feed

I gave myself over so that no one feels the pain of this immortal snare

Hey Bartender

Written 2010

Flashing lights and sounds roll by
Hear the sound of muffled sighs
Sullen words cannot express
Just confess, and lift it off your chest
Told the priest would hear your cries
If you don't feed him blatent lies

Oh he's your only friend
But he don't want to hear your sins
He's off doing his own thing
But it's far from priestly things
Oh he wont look in your direction
Let alone show you affection
Even when he hears your plea,
"Hey bartender please!"
Gone are all your hopes and dreams
All you ever sought to be
Heard from all across the room
Are many empty pleas,
"Oh won't you pity me?"

You can close your eyes and count to 10
Again and again
But he wont come back to help his fellow men
He was your only friend, but he left you all alone
To wallow in your sin
He failed to listen to your prayer
Now your lost in dark dispair

You can hide behind your cries
But he'll see into your eyes
Until the time you leave his bar
And wobble to your car

a feral creature called ''love''

crushed, wrecked, and shook
like a ceramic doll I fall

headlong and deep, deep
into the violent stream

of fear--fear that flows, flows
like a hurried river

into the tributaries of my
fearful heart which

trembles and quakes at the
watery inundations of its

rippled waves; flooded
and overflowed with

fears and unmoved by
promises that deceive

with a caress I take refuge
and secret repose

in a thing more wild, in a
thing more bloodthirsty,--

a feral creature called "love,"
whose kiss is a fatal bite!

The Illuminated Muse

The Illuminated Muse
by
Ingrid Showalter Swift

You light up the circuits of my psyche with lexis
vibrate within me
daze me
sway me without weight or measure
I breath in the misted air of salt and gesture
and in it you lie in wait

You fill my cells
with oxygen and mercury
the temperature rises
my bearings drop
my center settle casts away
to an island of green palm breezes
waves of art washing…poetry like walk way stones laid and lead ...before me
and I am the eel in the sea
the elk on the prairie
I am an elephant
tusks and trunk held high to sky
baroque-ing out my demands to the dusted waterless ways of the Serengeti
Rise up in me…as the ground rises before the tectonic hand of God
Rise up in me atomic
Equatorial in clime
Tornatonic in impact
I am ferocious
in my thirst
Run me down with your intent
annihilate all argument
and end the war between us
forever

for you are simply
a blue sapphire flickering in the firelight
Tumbling blue hues in a washer of stone
Flares of luminosity…raking the sky to a plunderous pink
a radiance
like an alien ball in the forest
…illuminati imaginations....
trailing sparklings that follow the fairies into the dark wood

You are warm milk
into which I fall
to the creamy center
float on clouded dark dreams
chewy and sweet
the toffee reminiscence
of….morning coffee…and black birds in flight
and you are the birth of child
in the hands of heaven
you are everything arcane ...nubile and blessed and damned at once
and you alone drive my pen
to wagon wheel and weltings center

I Am a Lullaby

I am a lullaby,
soft, silk sheets surrounding your ears,
such a lullaby
that sways the mind to halt its gears.

I am a lullaby,
the pill your heart swallows to fall asleep,
such a lullaby
that makes Death sing when it comes to reap.

Abuse

Trapped. No where to hide. You scream at me through the door.Though your words still
sting me.
I sit on the ground alone.Blood drips down like tears. tears run down like rain. The room's
spinning. My heart bursts out of my clothes. We got into a fight. Why is unclear.
I tried to leave. You hit me. I fell.I started to cry. You kicked me.A sharp pain burst out of
my chest. I could not breath. I have little energy,I kicked you. You fell. I ran to our
bedroom.
I am trapped. No where to hide.I'm weak. I stumble to your Night stand.I see a gun.You
break down the door. I grab the gun.You start to choke me, squeezing my throat like you
were trying to get some sort of juice out of me.
I pull the trigger.
BANG!Trapped. No where to hide.Your grip feels looser. Your face in pain.
You fall down. i fall into darkness.Free. No need to hide.

SHADOWS

Could spectres conceal inscrutable plot,
while following lives with clandestine eyes:
mocking each movement with grace we have not.

Caste-less company of foolish and wise,
elusive and tireless, always impend:
fleet, ever positioned to criticize.

Noiselessly waiting at each journey's end
watching and judging, without acquittal,
deeds that we're proud of, and some to defend.

Their aloofness lessens us, belittles
as around all they swoop, dread silent crows,
and yet are scattered like children's skittles

when darkness descends with one immense blow,
for night is queen of secrets and shadows.

Werewolf

Everything glitters
after dark.

Little by little,
I fell out of love with the sun,
slipping between the black and the white.

I started to appreciate the sound
of music with hot loving.
So good, so giving.
Blood so hot, you barely notice that it's boiling,
until everything's on fire,
everything's moving.
(It hurts so good, it doesn't)

And now,
I can't sleep for the need, it litters
my mind like an infectious disease.
(Though I'd been searching for it)

Little by little,
I caught it,
hands open,
palms burning.

Anything seems bigger
spread by shadows.
Now I think faster,
laugh louder,
love harder,
go quicker.

And when the morning sun litters
the sky,
it's an unwanted savior
to people like us.
(Because we know what's best,
we've seen what's better)

So we rest a little,
hiding strangeness with normalcy,
lust with routine.
But when the sun sets,
I watch with curiosity,
shadows wake and spread
(as if it's the first time)
legs open, arms wide,
inviting me in
to stop pretending
I'm something that I'm not.

Little by little,
I don't need much of anything,
knowing that love
will find me
in unusual ways.

Maybe it already has
but I lost count of ways...
too in love with shadows...
too in love with the night...

Too late.

Storm

Nothing but a waste
you’re just a reckless disgrace
too much power
for a deceiver

It's not right
I see light
It's not near enough
for me to go

It's my choice
so don't you treat me like a play toy
I'm not yours
to control

Cause I will storm in after you
If you take her far away from me
And I will storm in after you
If you take her to the grave with thee

You take our race for granted
and you're highly overrated
you're always taking
my friends

It's not right
I see light
It's not near enough
for me to go

It's our choice
so don't you treat us like we're play toys
we're not yours
to control

I will storm in after you
If you take them far away from me
And I will storm in after you
If you try and take them to the grave

Blank Slate

Vision is flexed
No way in
Try to come about
Straighten in a dulled storm
There is no mental form
How can I paint with no canvas
Tunnel vision eyes fixed
Onto a point that doesn't exist
All by myself hide by myself
Suddenly a spike in red internally
Kill to feel anger
Bridge the gap of voids
Drown inside a chemical cocktail
To tell myself that I feel something
But to come down and not drown
Is that the large fear
To find there isn't a glass to fill
Feeling like an echo ghost
Stalking around the other lives
Hiding from their leering eyes
And their clicking teeth of spite
No chemical cure
For their perceived hate
So instead I'll stay here
And live in a blank slate

The Cruel Raven

Decrepted soul how blind are thee
To see the world so cold and cruel
From the blood shed of lost lives
Like crushed cacoons of butterflies
Not given the chance to take flight.

You judge so quickly
Of what you can't understand
Than given the chance
To see through the mask.

Why must you be cold
To judge things before hand
Than learning their secrets
Seeing no rainbow in the sky
After a rainy storm by day.

Why can't you accept
Things as they are
Let the cacoons grow
So butterflies can flee
From the silky prisons
That held them back.

You the raven
Talons that slice
Butterflies of life
Hope and dreams flee.

The more cruel and heartless
Lesser are the butterflies
Whose only dream is to flee
To go off to live their lives.

As the remaining butterflies
Fly off to distant lands
You sit on your branch
Not willing to take the chance.

Foolish raven are you not,
You are missing quite alot,
Not willing to take risks
There you perch upon the sticks.

Shivering tinder, blazing breath.

Words whispered by ember’s death.

The last gasp of the risen;

slowly falling unto tomorrow’s shadow.

Sleep comes even,

Alchemical Summoner

An alchemist in history’s tome
My past a tale of creating my own
My energy spent on the pain
I conjured forth from living in shame

A creature came, riddled with hate
The sun would burn his delicate face
I summoned him from darkest depths
A symbol of the loss that I kept

He stared at me, all smiles and rage
Creeping through the shadows at day
At night we spoke in whispered tones
The death I sought had invaded my home

The world I feared no longer held weight
When compared to this monster’s hate
He speaks his mind and I come undone
His twisted plans could bury the sun

He knew so well, the pain that I’d seen
He multiplied each loss ‘til I screamed
But still I learned, and I was in charge
Despite his tricks and these alchemical scars

Now here I am, standing in love
For all his hate, he still holds me up
In quiet pause I learned his name
In knowing truth, our demons are tamed

FOTW

There he is again/searching...
for me - the object of his disdain/
his bete noire

Looking at him through the facets of my vision...
- He is a hulking one of them

The ones who seek to cut off my already
truncated life

Swish! a swift and practiced mano
takes aim

Lo Mein from last night's relvelry
my launch to escape

....too evasive...

Yet, my aggravation is apparent -
if only to myself

Agitated setae sit stilly upon a
bottled back

Nonetheless, I take this latest attack
in stride....An insignificant setback in this
current battle between he and I/between I
and them

Since this is a constant struggle/one that has
probably been going on since the inception of time...

I profoundly ponder past assualts from
whilom ages

Is this the Genocide that my brothers from
another phylum speak of through the whisper mill?

For, I am also Black, but very
uncomely/I am Black, but the sun
has not made me so...

No!...

I have attained my shape, size, and melanin
through the evolutionary hand of creation

Still, do I deserve to procreate,
to be fruitful and multiply?

Each day my numbers diminish
and nobody questions why?

Yet, every attempt to exterminate my existence
is met with a well executed jete

Since hardly anyone is successful the first time

I then let the momentum carry me high
and away/until I once again become a
negroid speck on a drab canvas

....A canvas that only I can bring color to...

...F.O.T.W?...

The Darkest Place

The fall comes early to frost covered souls
bound in damp, worn wool blankets
barefoot wanderings
over cold birch branches, sticks,
crack covered ground

thorns, thistles, briars
scratch, pierce the skin
tug at the coverings
lay bare
the naked heart

to face the hollow cold
without purpose
only a ceaseless longing
alone.

A Hollow Shell

a hollow shell
of tangled synapses
sparked into gradual madness
which drowns out the truths of the day
as the mind reeks of the rotten sad moments
that swirl in the rancid soup of forgotten dreams
dreams that once traced a gentle path of innocence
dreams that reached for pure love’s tender touch
dreams now paralysed but once vivaciously alive
what became of those fresh dreams and hopes
as they lie mustily on dusty bookshelves
torn into shreds by time’s fine scimitar
devoid of the touch of raw passion
when all that remains of love is
a hollow shell

Near the End

Red starlit fabric drapes over the model
the artist tries his best
to capture in oil, on canvas,
small lit places on her skin;
light through the trees, outside the window

his sight is marginal;
he goes mostly from memory, instinct
and what he imagines is actually there
he stops for a moment, hard to breathe,
asks her to rest

she is bored
knows he is no master
will sit for him anyway,
he pays,
she has time

after a few minutes, he starts again
re sets her, pulls out a smaller brush
strains his eyes
swears this will be the last one...
until tomorrow.

Bar Scene

Cold hearts sway to timid tones.
We hum hard; hoping to rattle the
grit out of our mouths.
Sand blasted teeth resonate youthful
denial, torturing revelation’s bargain.
No cheap tricks. No sunshine,
we’re all gone.
Too drunk on pain,
to find hope in the rainfall of liquor
in this dusty scene.
Too many empty bottles chugging
on air; the last breaths of my generation.
A swirling vortex of broken condoms
and vomited promises dance in neon
light behind the bar, threatening to dive
into the mouth of the next patron that
calls to the bartender.
A violent eyed harlot with dollars
bursting out of her bra.
She serves death with a smile,
gyrating her hips to a beat
…that never dances.
She just throws ice into
our blood and glances at
the tip jar..
Knowing we’ll pay our own
way to hell.

Two mandarin oranges were both very much in love,

Two mandarin oranges
were both very much in love,
and the rolled together down a hill,
to the ocean,
and the sun was swallowed by great waves,
and these little oranges( who came from a tree-)
Danced together on a sandy beach,
(somewhere-)
and they were in love,
till a little girl, named "Death"
came along and took one of the mandarin oranges,
and Death stole away with someone else's love
and piled her away and eat that orange up in one bite,
and the other orange lay there
Summer, fall, winter and spring came over and over,
till the one orange rotted away in a distant land (somewhere-)

Unholy Matrimony

They gather together in the pits of hell
to join in unholy matrimony
Greed and Lust. A union of sin with evil grins
the groom and bride exchange vows.
Greed-Just as hell is hot just as space is cold I promise to lay riches at your feet
and power in your hands.
Lust-Just as snakes slithers just as rats are diseased ridden I promise
to fulfill all your sinful desires.
By the powers invested in evil the groom may kiss the bride.

Esperar

I love that moment before the storm.
The world goes silent
and dozes and snores.

A prayer summons this bliss to last;
for regular breath,
much unlike the past.

Peace that ends in a series of pours.
Inevitable.
Thunder snaps the core.

The world's awake and is frantic.
Breath turns to howls.
Rain. Tears. Panic.

Motor Head Boi

Intact I am math,
But in a blast I run fast

...Somewhere above the tree line-
I am seen as fine,
But inside I am tried...

Weather doesn't help locate a song

So I hop on a motorcycle to get gone...

I soon crash it into a nearby tree,
and lay on the ground for weeks…

The sooner I come home
The lesser I learn how to lead

And its never anything but my last breathe of shine that I felt my teeth grind-
****ing the enemy
...the way of the blind

Organic and prime,

My weaknesses don't show
So I am fine...

And while feeling fine,
In an interesting wine,
I smell the pine,
It aches within me,
-Rakes at my earliest pillory

So I walk on pleased,
Get paid,
And then go spend all my pees

...With this withering game of time,
I feel hexed to grow some of mine

But I soon stop,
Eager to drop,
1,2,3, and then four…

Four strips, One token,
And two years unspoken

Where I turn and spin in the door

A splended welcome to adore!

What shores have washed away from these pores!

What course I have taken to learn how to adore!

But there is a land I lived in alive
but it just wasn't my find,
I was there,
but it wasn't my mind...

I wish I could scream!
Feel mean!
Go away unnoticed!
Then re-arrive climbing in trees!

Birds eat the bees
Lizards the breeze

But character never breeds
Its gotta be seen-
understood, spoken and then dreamed
before you wake to it
-just like she made ya do it
-and you jerked yourself through it

Started ta loosin' it
And got loaded
and became a rude influence

Perpetual Darkness

Perpetual Darkness:
It runs like a river.
It screams in our thoughts.
It goes further down than the diver.
It causes our minds to rot.
Why, how could anything do so much?
It causes us to fall prey to a rueful bunch.
Could it be that it comes from the heart?
Not just a thought from the start?
It ebbs away at sanity's center.
Breaking into all thought, to freely exit and enter.
Not to spend time as a renter.
How quizzically simple is its destruction wrought?

Burning Light:
How is it so bright?
How does it shine through the night?
How does it catch all flight?
As we run from wrong to right.
How brightly is it that this shines?
That it runs away from all things ours?
Could it be that we're not fine?
It washes over and covers over.
Over all darkness perpetual or not.

Spinning wings.
Such fine things.
Iron bars splayed with rings.
Doors are flung shut.
Such things are freedoms cut.
from such things people lust.
There a man's furrowed brow rusts.
From here families adjust.
To know what is bust. (english word means broke. >.<)
Could it be possible to trust in the heat of a fire?

When it gets too hot for a fire.
When a situation becomes so dire.
That its mire becomes impossible to make an escapade.
When all of life is speeding down a hopelessly delayed tunnel.
When it strains to far, it becomes angrily frayed.
When it craved more than it could handle.
When it roars to a scream, frayed from beaming a burning fire.
Sent out for hire; Blown out like a candle.

Why do me like that

Don't sit there and grin at me
when I sat there and cried for you.
Why do me like that?
Feel the pain deep in my soul,
don't look past those dull eyes.
Why do me like that?
Taste the tears I shed for, (to some a worthless love)
but for a love that I had deep in my heart,
yet you stand there and kick your head up with nose in air.
Why do me like that?

It is easy to lose such memory that had no meaning,
but when it meant something,
and it wasn't just the butterflies fluttering their beautiful wings
in the pit of my stomach and gut;
then it is not so easy to wipe away such sorrowful tears.
Why do me like that?

See what your doing,
wrong-
no more good words to be spread,
no more good memories to be shared or created,
only idle hands and an idle heart that has run out of beats.
Yet, you sit with your heart still thumping away
and you sit there and grin at me,
when I sit there and cry for you.
Why do me like that?

Breaking hearts,
you cutting my heartstrings with your bush whacker
and you still there smiling, as you cut away
with every slice going deeper into my soul and my heart,
and you sit there grinning,
as I sit there and shed tears that may have no end...
You sit there and grin,
while I sit there and cry.
Why do me like that?

Why?...

Love is nothing with doubt,
never once in the mind, body, soul and heart ever have such doubt
for if that be the case,
then you sit their, with your heart in your hand
and she standing over you... and she will grin,
and grinning she is best at.
and you will ask the same as I,
Why do me like that?

Your words lick my spine

branding me with their claims

I burn too deep, Blue

It feels like Hell fastened itself

Whose They

Writing in free verse,
and cracked knuckles on keyboards
with letters composed to make words
into poetry.
"We love your work!" they say.
"Oh my, your such a hopeless romantic." they say.
"Poetry is your strong suit." they say.
The pretty girls smile and recognize the words that flow
of paper with ink black like a dark soul.
They say that I have talent,
that I was born to write,
but they don't know where that inspiration comes from;
they never know because they never ask.
They just compliment and walk on...

Writing in free verse,
the blue poet hard at work,
another poem to feed the audience's hunger for starving words,
held close to their lips; lit cigarettes and beer bottles,
while razorblades hold close to my wrists,
and a loaded gun, one in the chamber, pointed to my temple.

As, I sit and write another poem,
I slowly look and wonder about those people,
who sit and listen but don't hear.
I sit and wonder about those people, those faces, those ways,
each and every smile and sigh,
every girl's tear and every man's silence- and for a moment
I wonder deep in my head, as I click the hammer back, cock the pistol,
pull the trigger... 'whose they?'

...and then I finish the poem,
dotting those endless i's with endless, salty teardrops.

Shadows of The Shore

(This poem is about 3 years old)

Hear the whispers as the wind breathes
The world is but a lingering dream
Shards of reality from a deadened tree
Under the bridge you wait for me

Seeing unreal visions in the moonlit water
Dying is humanity, to a self-slaughter
Majestic sights of watching the fall
The silence only whispers death to all
The dreary mornings of a winter’s wind
Are dragging me further and further to the very end

Walking in the shadows of the shore
Haunting these dark waters even more
Illuminating the evil inside my head
Hallucinating the unreal, the undead

Lost in the vicious sea
Singing unto the stars
Please come save me
I have no watcher in the sky
No guidance, just a lie

Rain seeps through my brain
Flooding me with a sense of pain
Shimmering waves of the reflecting moon
Drowning every thought too soon
Gasping for a light of salvation
Swallowing only sin and temptation

Praying the death I’m awaiting
Cursing the life I’m debating
Sinking to the depths of the blue
Waiting in the black water…
For you…

Searching

Searching

Searching,
in the debris of the past,
scraps of casually discarded emotion.

Searching,
in hastily trashed yesterdays,
an inkling of moments flung away.

Searching,
in heaps of rubbished words,
that tiresome sigh of defeated thought.

Searching,
in the layers of moulted skin
the wilting self that once was true.

Searching,
in the reflections between the ripples,
for the whispered pangs of roaring desire.

Searching,
in the blank eyes streaming endlessly,
an echo of the faintest sigh of new life.

Searching.

SSRI's and I

SSRI's and I ...

... the sounds of thoughts clattering, my neurones sparking,
like Dylan said, my morning recedes jingling and a-jangling,

worn down by this leaden knot, tearing my insides out,
the cacophony drowned in a whisper, lost in a silent shout,

dreams and screams scratching the back of my dry throat,
caged in, liberation hovering like a mirage beyond the moat.

I claw my way, slowly, through a thicket of solitude,
feeling my emotions peeling, stung by unseen nettles,

crawling to an open field, to rest, beneath a sky ablaze with stars,
as my mind glides, brushing the soft grass as it peacefully settles ...

Gravel

Wraps your lips around my pain,

recite the words as if they

were meant to fall from your own.

Some nights, I think you can

feel the gravel in my mouth,

as if it were beneath your feet.

Stand here with me,

hold the blade.

Twist my memory and

let it gush along the

path of our bitter prowl.

Leave it here

with me.

Bygone Days

The sick sadistic people that torture the kid
Thinking of thoughts to fascinating in sin
Hiding behind a stature of loneliness he hates
A time warp in his chest it elates
Swaying through time with no cause or mentality
He don't want to feel like a congenital abnormality
Piercing his mind with no anesthesia
Mind caught in the lake of amnesia
Grasping towards another minoral fate
Sometimes in this bygone world its too late
Suffering a wraith in his vivacious serenity
So sad and unaware with no amenity
This boy has suffered for a time of days
Like most diverse and beseeching in many ways
But tampered with is his lamp of time
Puppet strings in his head now a mime
The prescription of happiness is a lie
Bury the darkness as a maggot one day be a fly
This is the torture of a teen so young
Now no speech they take your tongue
Its over
Its over
Slit it in his own health
Slayed down for his enlightened death....

Subliminal Singularity

Drama invoked karma strangulating serenity. Singularity of unsurprised reason, such a wasted manufacturer to tinker and tether the nature of our society. In your world of opulent polished weaponry and wheel spinning rubber, you exchange the price of moral greed with perishing hunger souls. Controversy tears the false accusations of loyal ring holders. In a love incarnate by steel cut diamonds. Seductive smiles reeling your heart pouring emotions to beg.
Fraudulent capricious deities, you know not the meaning of love. Your fad invoked pleasure induced from this syndrome. Talentless loser of loss are the ill fainted manners of you and I. There is a meaning behind all of these words. Can minds decipher the subliminal coding. Or are such minds to incompetent to comprehend. Your eyes hold all the secrets. You handed me the key, to unlock your casing of personal beauty. Locks altered the façade of who once was.
In a dimmer light I can almost see her breath fog glass.
Unto the dark and into light,
Unto the dark and into light
We shall forebode our passions and dreams.

Puppets

They claim thousands of lives everyday,
carrying out mass executions on innocent souls. A lot of training
is done in their secret hideouts - learning to make bombs, and shoot. They
do all this training not because of any forthcoming war, but only to annihilate
those who don't take heed to their code of living and believing. They
believe that by following their code, heavens will open the doors,
for their souls to enter. They are puppets being controlled by the code,
which moves their heads, legs and hands, using invisible strings......

Falling From Faith

This image is different within my eyes,
Your masquerade is stripped of it’s disguise.

Your emaciated praise is so tortuously sung;
The black in your heart is a lie on your tongue.
Our mouths are muted by the lies you’ve sewn,
But I see the weed choking the flower shown.

Your cardiac corruption leaves your message hallow,
But blinded sheep need a sound to fallow.
Guided by deception they eagerly trudge,
to a demon wearing the mask of a judge.

You rejoice in every heartbroken lament,
For the law is only what you choose to invent.
Lies are laced within your every breath,
You march us to hell then whisper us to death.

Gone

The old church sits
Squalid in its agony
Bitten by the earth

The air groans

The gates swung wide
Her innards raped
Gutted by vultures

Still darkness falls from the sky

It is a Murk,
A cancerous toxin
Spreading into the roots

The old world rises

Where survival rules
None are free
No miracle comes from ruin

The decay lurches on

They Do Not See Me at All

They Do Not See Me at All

they do not see me at all...

as I walk through these desecrated avenues

of soul-deadening frenzy

I see them all rushing past me

and no matter how hard I try to holler and to call

they do not see me at all

it seems at times, that invisible am I

for when I reach out, and shriek out, and when on my knees I crawl

they rush past me

for they do not see me at all

I have tried to raise their ire, I have taunted and goaded them, till exhausted and fatigued, to the cold damp ground I fall

still they rush past me

for they do not see me at all

I stand mutely then and wave my hands all around while scribbling verses in my unintelligible scrawl

and yet they rush past me

for they do not see me at all

they rush past me, knocking me over without ever looking back

and then trampling over my fallen form, they look past my limp crumpled shadow, as they whine on in their monotonous drawl

for they do not see me at all

and when at last I see them look my way, and as a flicker of recognition crosses their faces

I wish to crawl back into my nothingness

where they cannot see me at all
