Aster 'Blue Autumn'

(This is a specific type of Aster with full name Aster 'Blue Autumn') Aster 'Blue Autumn,' summer wanes. The shining sky of dusk is drenched in splendor. Tremulously, I watch shadows that arrive all to soon-to purloin sun's last rays. Aster 'Blue Autumn,' how you thrive in fields amidst a throng of goldenrod! And always you forego the chill of nights that come to steal away the last of Summer's days. Aster 'Bue Autumn,' Virgo aches, and you're re-birthed from star dust that she cries- to bloom beneath blue skies until the fatal time when breath is snatched . . . Pensively I wait. Pledge of love and loyalty

This pledge that l,Ntando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed l am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only lie
in word alone but in action as well.

For that reason in every season
I shall show steadfast commitment
to the implementation of this pledge
with a great deal of astuteness.
I therefore commit myself to be your
devoted and delivering husband for
all the years l shall live with you
on this earth.

I shall treat you with the love and care
you deserve as my wife.
Indeed l shall treat you with
the distinction and dignity
that is befitting of the queen of my heart.
That body, that bone, that breath
shall be my mine to treasure,
for sure;
a dearness to promote and protect
for dear life…and love!
I shall stand by and with you in all the
situations of our life.
If the situation demands that we sail,
sail we shall together.
If the situation demands that we
climb we shall together.

I know very well what l am getting into:
I am getting into a marriage that is
overflowing with blessings.
This marriage- with our mutual
will stand the test of time.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
brims over with a transforming power
of love.

This marriage-with our
mutual commitment –
will transform naivety into maturity
troubles into challenges
pretence into practice
pride into progress
bachelorship into companionship.
I pledge to be your steward and partner
for all times.

I shall value the consultations
and decisions that we make as
husband and wife.
As head of the family I shall do nothing

to derail our love train for anything else
least of all for personal and selfish reasons.
Now and forever

I am your lawful and loving husband…
This pledge that l, Nothando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed I am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only
lie in pronouncements but in practice
as well.

For this reason every season
I shall demonstrate untiring love
and loyalty to you;
a love and a loyalty that is a living
embodiment of our marriage vows.
I therefore commit myself to be your
honouring, supportive and loving wife
for all the years l shall live with you.
I shall treat you with the love and care
that you deserve as my husband.
Indeed I shall treat you with
the dignity and nobility that is befitting
of the king of my heart.
On my mind it is always fresh
that I am the flesh of your flesh.
Green or grown

I am the bone of your bone.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
elevates me into a kingdom of wifehood.
I shall endevour to put my family first
with all the rights, obligations
and privileges that come with wifehood.
I shall endevour to wipe off and ward off
loneliness and lostness from our relationship,
seeking nothing but your companionship;
banking on your stewardship,
sinking together any hardship.
Since you are mine
I shall not do anything else to undermine
our relationship for personal
or egotistical
Now and forever
I am your lawful and loving wife…

Pastel Reflections

I'll be waiting here
wading through the seasons
Seems I can't recall the
reasons you aren't here with me

As I watch the trees
turn from gold, - to brown, - the leaves fall down
and swirl around to catch a tear they've found

I believe that love
is something meant to last, -- not like leaves
that ... only crumble, lost like a memory-

Days have tumbled down
I've wondered how to live without you
Winter - summer - fall, - and spring. - have come again

Time recalls the years
Seasons to remember
Love can come around again, without the sound of tears

I have watched the leaves
drifting from the trees, then fall on down
without a song, to say goodbye.... goodbye

All the while, I wait
Just waiting for a sign - in the wind
Reminding you that we were once more than friends

Leaves have turned from gold
and I am growing cold, once again
While leaves are drifting down around my head

I will catch a leaf
and I'll keep pretending
that love will come around to us again
without a tear

I have watched the leaves
lifting from the trees, then falling down
without a song, to say goodbye.... goodbye

I have watched the leaves
lifted from the trees
gone, without a song......... gone, without a song to say goodbye........

The Season Inside

Its beauty yet again plunders me,
Into magnificent realms that hide
Deep within my every thought
Where I ,like a new tenant,
Seek comfort to reside
In the warm abodes of Winter.

It has come yet again
With its white painted sky
Like a dripping white towel
Whose waters slowly subside
Like a pain that has been eluded,
Avoided, denied

Its gusts that blow across
The many prolonging miles
Bringing all windows to shudder
Like lost whispers and voices
Found and compiled
Into a vague resonance.

Its unmelted snow
That at every corner lies
Lingering for the tepid
Sun of Spring to rise
To melt away
Like an unwanted memory.

And all that it holds
Is but a fraction that glides
A sheer reflection of the world
The snow, wind and rain of
The season inside

Sweet Sparrow

A song of a sparrow in the springtime.

Birds chirp a lullaby at the peak of the morning sun.
Speedy is the dragonfly, wish I could catch just one.
Clovers fill the meadow and daisies are in bloom.
Brilliant as the rainbow heanen's scent perfumes.
I hear a sparrow singing sweet tunes of joy and glee.
Sing a song sweet sparrow, sing a song for me.

As springtime goldenrods glow.
I see a sweet sparrow perched upon a rose.
Elegant are the carnations,
and honeybees buzz me by,
God's mighty creations of tender springtime.
I hear a sparrow singing a joyful melody.
Sing a song sweet sparrow, whistle in the breeze.

Lilacs spread their fragrance.
Daffodils line the creek.
In the wind the lilies dance,
and crickets chirp at my feet.
I hear a sparrow singing such a sweet tune.
Sing a song sweet sparrow, lift the morning dew.

Sing a song the prince of love and let the music flow.
Drowning in sweet melodies I open my window.
Perched upon the cedar tree a mighty little bird.
Singing tunes of springtime for all to be heard.

Pieces of Eternity (Seasons Finale)

Maybe it’s unacceptable
Live a life capable of a true fable
True friends never end
But take you back to where it all began
But hey misery gave us something to believe in
Stress became a greater award as we achieved sin
What could I say? Our savior died on a cross tough as pig skin
Never once cried over the loss
Forbidden fruit, Eden garden
Excuse me, my lord, I beg your pardon
And so what if these medics carry life in a carton
But I ain’t trippin
Simply because this is me until my dying day
Please stop crying, you know I can’t stay
I’m going to be the same until my dying day
Over in that casket is where I’m trying to lay
That’s right until my dying day
True lost souls from the dark side
Forever, we as mortals ride
Peace is nothing, I fend for quiet time
Rebels in riot lines
Previous high school graduates
Symbols of an adjective running toward fate
True personality suffer the privilege of inmates
How could you hesitate to ask
There’s no stranger under this mask
Lonely and unholy, who’s there to console me?
I want to get away, forever restless
You can see my similarities with the ocean
I’m stress less
Because this is me until my dying day
Please stop crying, you know I can’t stay
I’m going to be the same until my dying day
Over in that casket is where I’m trying to lay
My son, my friend
We are but pieces of eternity
Mesh on, mesh off
Even at our best times we’re soft
Who’s to say I’d regret my decision
To lead a sinners life without God’s supervision
On a one man mission
And I know I don’t come around much
Got my palms in reality
Searching for something softer to touch
Whisper in my ear, death makes me blush
And Hell only flatters me
One and one, through matter the winds scatter me
I ain’t trippin, baby girl get off your knees
You’re in the arms of a future me
And I can’t see heaven from a distance
Fire me over clouds like a piston
Marching through blood
But it’s all mud and water to Darkhouse
Stand still let me mark my spouse
Live my life as an outcast
How could you even picture me at my last?
Dear lord show some mercy on my followers
Bless those that swallow dust to follow us
No need to borrow sympathy
Unforgiving sorrow made my enemies envy me

Rain from a Heavy Sky

Seems like dark
clouds are following us
      Let the torrents
come down
     We'll survive!
As water strikes
    our garden
  The earth and roots
         devours it
    Life springs forth
after shadows have
Our little star
     will continue
to shine
   on though the
    There will be
    of the wheel of
When we are cleansed by the
    Then we can
begin anew
    Letting the breezes
caress us
   We'll continue onwards
            darkness, rain
and ill fortune
may come
    but we shall grow
and prosper in spite
    of it
  We'll lift up our
  to embrace the world
Laugh once more
    as spring rains
continue to fall

Another Season

I heard the mist of autumn
as it whispered to the sun
'tis time to paint the summer
      another season has begun
Then the author of the universe
      like thunder here below
        announced to summer's ember
it's time for you to go
Set the trees ablaze with color
      another season has begun
and blend them with the heavens
      beneath the midnight sun
         Whatever be the reasons
      within each heart we know
        as like the mighty rivers
all life through time must flow
Then I heard the fading summer
as it whispered to the sun
        my yesterday's have passed away
      another season has begun.

Alone A Tree In Mourning

A single bee
Alone a tree.
A single day in morning.
His slicker sly
Of catching eyes.
His sweeter side of aging.
Like sticky seeds,
These blossom beads.
The winter plants are dying.
A drunken bee
Flies lazily,
Brought down by nectar drinking.

Our springs are wet
With sweet forgets.
Our hearts forever bleeding.
Our summers heat,
These days retreat,
Our only summer setting.
Our summers die
In lullabies.
I wish I wont stop dreaming.
A passer by
I might ask why
Alone a tree in morning?

And possibly
He’d die to be
My only glimpse of fleeting.
Without a care
Our pulses dare
To reach the height of running.
A gentle sigh,
An open mind,
Holds within each waiting.

His ancient cry
Of reasons why.
His simple song of saving.
I'll never die
He'll say tonight
While other dawns are breaking.
A passer by,
I might ask why
Alone a tree in mourning?

Saturday Grace

I lie in chances
Cotton white
Relaxed in your fragrance
A scent
No rose could pleasure

After me
Laughter chases
With open arms
It looks
To embrace me

It’s always bad news that saves the day
The sadness that dawn’s upon your Saturday face
A sadder day’s grace

These songs are written
To never be spoken of
Lie hidden
Above the trenches we’ve dug

Just like yesterdays disappear
I feel my departure
Is so very near
Secrets trespass
To only remain out in the open, clear

It’s always bad news that saves the day
The sadness that dawn’s upon your Saturday face
A sadder day’s grace

Summer Time

Summer Time
and in the spring
the children sprout
growing up until they old
reminiscing on the past
(Summer Time)...
 So innocent and young
growing old and wise
telling true stories
to the children eyes
some young become old fools
just make sure its not you
Summer Time
and in the spring
the children sprout
growing up until they old
reminiscing on the past
(Summer Time)...

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

Goodbye, Winter

"Goodbye, Winter" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques".

Goodbye, winter,
Goodbye, winter.
Hello, spring,
Hello, spring.
Tulips in my backyard,
Tulips in my backyard,
Are blossoming,
Are blossoming!

Bonus activity: Take children outside for recess on an early spring day and sing this
song. Ask children how they know the seasons have changed and that spring has
arrived. Is the air warmer? The grass greener? Are flowers blooming? Are butterflies
flitting about?

Whispering Leaves

Autumn brings leaves in multifarious hues,
Time's flow quickly readies us for winter's blow.
Fun days on our patios will soon turn to blues,
As it takes its leisure neath a blanket of snow.

The Sycamores have shed like some molting dog,
And each Crape Myrtle is dressed a yellowish red.
The huge Hackberry resembles an old upright log,
Now, too soon our days may be filled with dread.

The Hibiscuses are a gathering of pithy stalks,
Where once dinner plate size red flowers hung.
Now no cars come, stop and give strange gawks,
But things will be normal once spring has sprung.

Fallen leaves unmistakably are whispering to me,
Dancing at my feet they swirl along the ground.
As if they can't decide where they're supposed to be,
Each movement choreographed to whispering sound.

Debutant's Lament

Summertime…they say the livin’ is easy,
Flowers growin’ and the sun’s sittin’ high.
They say your Daddy’s rich and your Momma’s so good lookin’;
So hush now pretty baby…there's no reason to cry.

One of these days, you’re gonna rise up smilin’.
Take a look around and think you’ve got it all.
You’ll have your Momma’s looks, all your Daddy’s money,
And all the boys in town at your beck and call.

Summertime…Yes, the livin’ is so easy,
Laughin’, singin’, havin’ so much fun.
No time to stop and think about your future
And what life will bring when your Summer’s done.

‘Cause Summertime, it don’t last forever.
Breezes cool and the leaves begin to fall;
And in your quiet moments, you'll sit and wonder
How you came so far, but have no love at all.

Summertime....They said the livin’ was easy;
Ain’t it sad how fast the good times fly;
And now, your Momma’s looks and all your Daddy’s money
Another sweet, warm Summer’s day they cannot buy.

A Farmer's Eyes and a Sailor's Shadow

A thorough yield
On a farm field of far east
It took me time to realize
How far I am to my far east of coast

Call of my weather
Call of my winds
I sailed further and farther
To my naked coasts
Naive songs, Nimble rains
Nile of rivers, Nascent clouds

Reaching this far
I kissed my earth
Ground of my grief
Glory of my ghosts
Glad is those leaves
However scanty they are

Cast is my shadows
No longer they hide
My colors and my figures
They cast numbers on stars
Measure their light
Scope my winters
Scale my summers
Scanty my rains
Scuttle I wish my springs

Now let me see my greens
Their leveling heights
Their leafy gaze
Their spiderly gesture
Their primordial texture
Now let me be slow
In company of my greens

I Forgot Tomorrow

So long ago I knew the game.
Back when I thought I had a name.
And lessons were for school days.
I never learned to change my ways.

The shadow of the past was cast.
Who knew it wasn't meant to last.
No one is meant to live in sorrow.
I remember now, I forgot tomorrow.

I walked down that empty street.
With no chance of love to meet.
Looking down, afraid to see.
The other person I could be.

The shadow of the past was cast.
Who knew it wasn't meant to last.
No one is meant to live in sorrow.
I remember now, I forgot tomorrow.

Someday has come with latent light.
With shades of grey of black and white.
A long lost sense that I belong.
And now it's time to right the wrong.

repeat chorus

The open door without a lock.
Awaits the taker of the stock.
The only cost has now been paid.
And all the wait has now been weighed.

Repeat Chorus

Grand Finale

The grand finale of nature is come;
the forests with color blaze.
Summer has chosen her brilliant gown
to wear through autumn's blue haze.
Some might say she has gone too far
wearing these gaudy shades;
ah, but summer knows icy winds soon blow--
all the color will quickly fade.

Go! Dress yourself, fair earth I love,
with scarlet, orange and gold;
soon puffed snow quilts will blanket your face,
summer's flowers lie dormant and cold.
I miss you those long winter nights,
your flirtatious, beautiful wiles;
one thought brightens blank, colorless hours:
I am happy you go out with style.

AAh Spring

Spring ushers in our warming breezes, That whispers softly through the trees. Making liquescent, late winter freezes, Then blossoms appear, and later the bees. The trees will soon wear natures clothing, Currently standing naked, tall, and rigid. Shortly, the days will become less loathing, Because my time outside won’t be so frigid.

Old fashion summer

Here under these leaves
of the lush gardens and weeds
Grape vines crawl from post to post
that create a resting spot for most
And now the robin is
guarding her young chicks so fair
her nest is made of grasses and hair
Trickling streams of a watery theme
Where dragonflies hover and spread their wings
And the so clever songs the robin sings
For summer comes and brings the heat of the day
Where busy children are out to play
Oh treasure this, theses days that come to pass
Where one may sit and drink a glass
With lemonade and roller-skates
 be home before
dark ,or at least by eight
Laboring were the long nights of summer
Were perspiration was a part of slumber
And so we woke with sticky necks and sheets
because all we had was a fan to beat the heat

And reminisce theses days we remember
Its soon back to school
Were we could’t wait until late September

Defining Moments

Sun-kissed sand seeping warm softness through loose fingers
Gritty bits of sea worn shells clinging to sweaty palms
Endless stretches of churning salty skirts, swirling soft sand offerings
Timeless routine unless confined to an hour glass; then time defined and depleting
I will stay here, one more day, in this moment with you
Billowing wind toying with chimes dangling from a hook outside the window
Weather-worn strings attempt constant purchase on their prized pipes
Hollow tubes and smooth wood dance as if marionettes
Called to action without self-will; blown and battered sporadically to purpose of
sweet note
I will stay here, one more day, in this moment with you
Fragrant formed wax with wick in need of trimming
Sagging brittle edges from last burning yearn for more pliable state
Called to illumination and guardian of the very flame that diminishes
Beauty invoked by warm flickers as shadows dance; knowing that soon it will only
I will stay here, one more day, in this moment with you
Precious kisses on soft skin and caresses on tiny fingers
Confused pleas of tears and unformed words when communication is elusive
Nurtured as if a fragile rare flower, coaxing to bloom and thrive
Rooted and reaching for the sky; so soon to spread limbs, absorbing and obscuring
the sun
I will stay here, one more day, in this moment with you
Heady thoughts of desperate need, wanting skin and souls to touch and mingle
Uncharted and unrehearsed voyages across deep waters and over daunting cliffs
Strengthened or broken by attempts to fly; stretching wings in unison to keep aloft
Long sought destination reached, realizing now that the journey’s purpose was to
find you
I will stay here, one more day, in this moment with you

Giving In To The Gray

Overwhelmed with fear I whispered into the rain
Disarming defenses, Giving in to the gray
Tearing down all of my shelter within my hollowed decay
While this echoing silence gave every tear drop a name
They begin filling the voids with mundane hopes for a change
Heaven will save me from this hell and blue skies will reign
Lazily lay in green grass watching clouds drift away
It's all but a deflated dream now that the colors have changed
My thoughts have become restless noise of uncertainties rearranged
Damning all of my emotions, lies decorated with grace
Now I stand with a hardened heart in the sobering autumn rain
I'm disarmed and defenseless, Giving in to the gray

If I Could Only See One Color

If you could only choose one color what would it be ?

If I could only see one color
That would be such a bummer
I wouldn’t be able to see all the pretty colors of summer
Life would be so much duller without color
All the multi colors of summer
Life would just be discolored
Without color

Elysium Dream of Love

I close my weary eyes
Holding onto the hope
Of not having to cope
Not a mintue longer
Without you by my side
Not expierencing
The warm look in your eyes
The tingling rush of your finger tips
That would grip my hair tight
To stop you from slipping into the night
Biting your bottom lip
As a pinch to yourself
To see if it was real
The dream of love we felt
And now that you are gone
I only wish to die
Your image fades from my mind
Sometimes I see it clear,
The sun is skillfully stroking it set in the sky
As my feet float down the road across the tuscan country side
I ever so gently sense the wildy grown wheat
Tickling these troubled lines engraved in the palm of my hand
I playfully pick one out of the land and pluck the grains
I look up and in the distance is where she waits
But there she remains peacefully strolling through the calming field
In a white cotton dress that tails off in the wind and
wearing a small confident smile that makes my yearning heart yield
Whispering in my ear that soon I will make it home
But my Life's journey must continue down this God paved road
I awake with the longing of her, But with so much to do
I need God's strength for one more day to get through

Spring Green

I hear the song of spring calling me,
There is beauty in the air blowing free.
Sun whistles through the evergreen pine,
Embracing this longing heart of mine.

Spring, I listen for your song,
The nights of Winter, much too long.
Spring, I seek the warming days,
The Winter shone shades of grays.

I smell the ground as the snow melts away,
The green stems of lilies search the day.
Grasses reach for the sky like tiny hands
Refreshing the colors from dead leaf like sands.

Spring, I see your green bursting bright,
Sanctuary in the sun a warming sight.
Spring, with ease you paint the scene,
With flowering pastels and shades of green.

I taste the freshness in the air.
Oh, sweet Spring, a gift I long to share.
Birth to the beauty, rebirth to the sun,
The seasons battle, and Spring has won.
