Today I penned a love letter
I know you'll never see
Secret thoughts and feelings
Bottled up inside of me
Romantic muse on my heart
Words written with the mind
My forbidden introspection
I know you'll never find
For I, myself, am the bottle
I'm not floating on the sea
The message is deep inside
Heartbroken that we can't be
I know this sounds freaky
But every word I say is true
Although we've never met
My heart is missing you!

Now my tendrilled soul,
Has found its pergola-- Christ--
To wind its way up....

Shell from Sawed-Off

I'm aware that
They'll dare me to surrender when my burner's unkindled
And the barrel is empty
Since their whiskey is missing
But it's in our blood and baby it's trickling and
We're on a roll
I heard from her and her merciless curves
That the curse'll come first
Just 'fore the rebirth
It's a thought that gets lost when you pitch it with a cross
O'er a plate made of moss so
I'll name it Shell from Sawed-Off
As I paint Hell from Far-Off
Like the Seraphim cherishing the heart
Who can't turn from the art
Like embarrassing a perishing enemy
Yeah, one last taunt
When told to listen as though it'd fix it
Something went missing
Although I didn't miss it
A relation on a ship quite distant and
Slightly free
Where the ocean switched and the compass died instantly
Oh it's in our blood, baby we're tricky so now
Out that ship has sailed
Like the Seraphim cherishing the shark
Who can flip 'round the ark
Like embarrassing a perishing enemy
Yeah, one last taunt
And our sweat is slightly trickling
A whiskey business, the highest feeling
And the pressure is highly tricky
A risky business, a godly healing

Highland Lassie

Inspired by the painting "Highland Lassie" (1871) by Thomas Faed.

(Verse One; In introduction to Cailin)
Walkin' on the highways, searchin' down the byways,
Tromps a lonely figure on the Highland roads;
Peerin' from the Highdown, breezin' through the lake town,
Askin' of a question erry where he goes:
(Chorus; Cailin, followed by some villagefolk)
And it's, "Marry, gather 'round! for she hasna' yet been found;
I come lookin' for the truest lass, as only one can be:
I've a letter do deliver; as you see, it says to give 'er
To the fairest Highland lassie from Loch Leven to the sea."
"Here's a lass," they proudly say, "fair as June and sweet as May,
And it's sure that she's the fairest in the Highland mountains steep:
Through the heather you may go, climb the mountains capped with snow,
But you'll never find a better lass on which your eyes to peep."

(Verse Two; Cailin's thoughts)
Some of them were pouty, others even dowdy;
"These," he thought, "would never do in fifteen years:
Beauty on the outside, nothin' on the inside,
Leaves a girl with nothin' when it fades to tears."
(Chorus; Cailin's continuing journey)
Trav'lin' all around, for she hasna' yet been found;
He's come lookin' for the truest lass, as only one can be:
With a letter do deliver; as you see, it says to give 'er
To the fairest Highland lassie from Loch Leven to the sea."
"Here's a lass," they proudly say, "fair as June and sweet as May,"
But you canna' tell the fairest one except you see them all:
And the lassies sweetly smile, for this stranger to beguile,
As 'e treads throughout the Highlands from the winter to the fall.

(Verse Three; Cailin's travels and troubles)
From the banks of Lomon', up to Durness roamin',
How's a wight to judge betwixt a thousand score?
Steps were waxing weary, days were growing dreary,
'Till 'e saw a lass 'e hadna' met before.
(Chorus; Cailin, to a lass called Ellsie and her villagefolk)
And it's, "Marry, gather 'round, for the lassie here is found!
I 'ave searched and found the truest lass, as only one can be:
Here the letter I deliver; as you see, it says to give 'er
To the fairest Highland lassie from Loch Leven to the sea.
"Here's a lass," I proudly say, "fair as June and sweet as May,
And it's sure that she's the fairest in the Highland mountains steep:
Through the heather you may go, climb the mountains capped with snow,
But you'll never find a better lass on which your eyes to peep."

(Verse Four; Ellsie's villagefolk reply in confusion)
Then they said, "Oh, please, Sir, don't you taunt and tease 'er,
Caint you tell she's plainer e'en than Skye down dell?
Caint you tell you've pained 'er? don't do that again, Sir,
Lest you 'ave a reason, and if so, pray tell."
(Chorus; Cailin's reply, followed by Ellsie reading the letter)
"O'er the braes an' through the moor, I 'ave trode my walkers sore,
All to find the truest lassie in the Highlands boggy peat;
And the truest lass is fair, for the true shall never wear,
So I say that here's the truest, fairest lass I've chanced to meet."
Then she opened up the scroll, and she read it to the full,
And for those who chance to wonder, I shall quote you what she read:
"When the fairest lass I find, if our wishes are aligned,
I should wish to know thee better, lass, and then, perhaps, to wed."

(Verse Five; Ellsie's reply to the letter)
Then she said, "Oh, come, Sir; don't be sad or glum, Sir;
Meet my father, mother, and my sisters small:
Soon the bells were ringin', people gladly singin'
"Here's the lad who worked to find the best of all."
(Chorus, which Ellsie's villagefolk sing at the wedding)
"O'er the braes an' through the moor, 'e 'as trode 'is walkers sore,
All to find the truest lassie in the Highlands boggy peat;
And the truest lass is fair, for the true shall never wear,
So I say that here's the truest, fairest lass I've chanced to meet.
"Here's a lass," we proudly say, "fair as June and sweet as May,
And it's sure that she's the fairest in the Highland mountains steep:
Through the heather you may go, climb the mountains capped with snow,
But you'll never find a better lass on which your eyes to peep."

Note: the verses are written using trochaic feet, meaning that they begin with a stressed syllable, followed by an unstressed, and so on repeatedly. The fifth foot (syllables nine and ten) in the second and fourth lines of the verses is a spondee, meaning two stressed syllables in one foot. I mention this for ease in correct reading. An example of this same device is "Since the Savior Found Me" by Edgar J. Haskins, (in last line of verses and refrain).

A Change in Autumn

As the world
closes in on us
   our eyes
    what our hearts
permit them to see
In autumn - in
the waning of the year
as the trees
   turn orange, red and golden
before the land is covered in white
we will see sound and light
Surrounded by nature's beauty we become a part
  of the eco-system
A great dawn
  awaits us
in the end
Voices of ancient
reverberate in the cool air
Sometimes when it seems
that we are lost
the rhythm of the seasons
reminds us of what we may become
Perhaps this autumn light
  will bring this world
to its' senses
Strength, Tranquility
and a heavy sense
      of peace
Are being swept in
by a cool Northeastern breeze

Ocean Of Confusion

My mind is floating on an ocean of confusion That's filled with mental anguish and regret Making me sing the same sad tune Upon waves of sadness I can not forget Drifting onward with each gust of the wind Thoughts of madness build with each crashing wave Hoping to find the ripple of calmer waters Before reaching the darkness of my earthly grave Still searching for the island of forgivness That I've been looking for all these years Praying to drink from its love filled waters Not to become a screaming soul with flaming tears

Buried at Sea.

I watch the ocean waves from underneath it all.
Deep down.
It's getting harder to breathe.
This water makes its way into my lungs.
You're suffocating me.
Just leave me here, you haven't changed at all.
You fall apart, every time you start.
Just start realizing you can't replace the hole that you put in my heart.
One last breath to say goodbye.
I'll tell myself a final lie.
"I'll make it out alive."
The only thing that can feel this hole is the water that buries me at sea.
It'll feel the void, complete me.
Will I ever feel my limbs again?
Is this the end of my suffering?
I don't feel like waking up.
I can't wake up.
I can't see the sunrise anymore.
I have sunken to the ocean floor.

Whale Meat Again

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

From the harbour our course we keep,
for the distant Antarctic water,
to find the leviathans of the deep,
and begin our bloody slaughter.

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

We say there is a scientific need,
to study these magnificent beings
we harpoon them, and watch them bleed,
as before our ship they're fleeing.

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

And still our leaders, they entreat
that we do this for the good of science,
but really it is for their meat,
that we kill these gentle giants

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

Rain from a Heavy Sky

Seems like dark
clouds are following us
      Let the torrents
come down
     We'll survive!
As water strikes
    our garden
  The earth and roots
         devours it
    Life springs forth
after shadows have
Our little star
     will continue
to shine
   on though the
    There will be
    of the wheel of
When we are cleansed by the
    Then we can
begin anew
    Letting the breezes
caress us
   We'll continue onwards
            darkness, rain
and ill fortune
may come
    but we shall grow
and prosper in spite
    of it
  We'll lift up our
  to embrace the world
Laugh once more
    as spring rains
continue to fall

To the Sea

To The Sea

I look to you
For answers
To the questions that swirl like your currents in my mind
Are you as unfathomable as my heart?
Do your swells exceed the passions rising within me?
Does your churning and pounding match the rhythm of my pulse?
Is your water as cold as the loneliness here?
Does the salt you contain taste the same as my tears?
Does your thunderous crashing on rocks at the shore
Equal the tempest that rages in my soul?
Do you harbor secrets in your depths as I do?
Are you roiling below the surface with anticipation?
Do you long for a visitor to break the horizon...
As I long for my Love?
Does the wail that rises from your hollow reefs
Blend with the plaintive cry from my lips?
Can the overture played on your delicate shells
Drown out the sound of my siren song?
Sea, I have loved you, Sea, I have known you...
We feel the same, we sound the same
We give the same, we take the same
We are one
And the same
You and I,
Your mournful soulmate

Tropical Obsession

I've got a tropical obsession
I think I'm losing my mind
I want to see my work day done
Go out and have some fun
And leave the city life behind.

I love the roar of the ocean
The smell of tanning lotion
A secluded beach somewhere
There are coconuts in the trees
With a warm and gentle breeze
And a flower in your hair.

I've got a tropical obsession
It's driving me up a wall
I want the palm trees and the shore
Blue skies and so much more
Oh God! I want it all

There's an island in the sea
I can hear it calling me
Saying come on home today
I'll bring my old beach chair
Plant it in the sand somewhere
And that's where I'm going to stay

I've got a tropical obsession
And I just can't set it free
On an island remote
In a little fishing boat
Is where I want to be.

Moon Dance

The waves slide over the shore
Leaving tiny, squiggly trails
The moon and sun battle for the sky
And the big, bright moon prevails.
The beach is shrouded in darkness
Dimmly lit by only one light
That dances through the undertow
Marching its way through the plight.
A stencil of gray laces the sky
Creating a vision of death
Slowly overcoming the shore
'Til it takes its last breath.
The ocean itself which had once held
So much life in its depths
Has become drowned in its own contents
It is meeting its own death.
A storm lashes its way
Solmnly across the sky
To make room for what will unleash
That will cause the very moon to cry.
Dancing and waltzing across the shore,
The moon sadly turns away
She can't bear to see her ocean like this
And witness it going astray.
With one, final, swift motion,
She casts her love out to sea
The love she held deeply for her ocean
The world, and all her countries.
She makes her way back to where she belongs
And lets the sun take over the sky
I didn't, in all my years,
Think I would ever see the moon cry.
But she shed those tears so bravely
And dried them so nonchalant
She turned and made her way back to the sky
Like it was something she could never want.
The moon had lost the battle
And, defeated, began to fade away
Then the sun began to dance, too
To celebrate a brand-new day.

A sailors soul

A sailor's soul has an epic thirst Only nourished by the sea For only upon it's waves and swells Is a sailor's soul set free He prays for winds to fill his sails And clear skies to chart his way A pull of rum and cheap cigar To finish out his day The stories spewed, both lies and truths Will fade upon the seas For until his ship, next leaves it's slip Will his soul again be freed

Sometimes the sea brings hope to me
as if a dream has come and meant to be
it weaves a spell I know too well
within a time that's known but to the sea.

An empty sound is all around
and echos from what walls there may be found
a click--a tap--a buzz--a snap,
within the time that fills my empty sound;

the light goes through eternal blue
and into space as light can only do,
as pressure grows, my being flows,
contented in the dream I'm flowing through.

Flight Of The Seagull

I see you up there flying in the sky of majestic winged one,
your wing span is so wide, you dip your wings now and then
just to see what the wind is doing, Your head lifts up to see,
as your steely eyes look from side to side.
You cannot afford to get it wrong,
or you could fly off course and hit the ground.
You calculate so carefully, but not on paper, like us, not you,
Your head is what you use to think through all the things you have to do.

Your feathers had all been fluffed about,
when you were caught in a nasty gale.
You had thrashed about and it made you shout
as it grabbed your pure white tail.
Now you are soaring up to the sky,
where you're dwarfed by the mighty blue whale.
The people on the ground don't know,
how much stress a seagull goes through.

When you are pushed around by a wind so fierce,
you have to hang on with all your might.
Just to keep yourself from falling from the sky,
during such a hairy scaring flight.
I watch you dive into the sea ,
to catch the fish that want for tea.
You dive in and grab it with your beak,
then wait patiently, for the next to pick.

With a grace and style so neat,
you dive in and claim your delicate feast.
You have to do this very quick,
because a big wave could make you sink.
Your fisherman friend Joe is due,
you know his boat, its painted bright blue.
You watch for his mast as it nears the point,
and as he enters the bay, get into position to wait,
for him to cut up the catch of the day.

Sometimes I wish I could fly away too,
across the oceans you soar over so blue,
I would fly to a place that was away
from the hustle and bustle back home.
I would chase all the other birds there in the sky,
that are also all alone.
You must see many things on your flights,
when you fly over land, sea and shore.
I love to see you soar through the sky,
Until I can' t see you up there anymore.

Kingdom Lost

In summertime, the ivy climbs,
and hides the castle wall.
The king dreams of late,
that the sea is so great,
and yet - his boat is so small.
As swift as a fox and
dark as a raven on wing,
seven hundred soldiers march
into the valley of the king.
Long overdue, a battle ensues
flanking the powers that be.
Children cry, and good men die,
the monarch is now on his knee…
Soon the horsemen alone
try to maintain the throne.
But the long way around
is the shortest way home.
The evening is filled
with chaos and smoke,
and the kingdom is
stunned by it all…
Soon the sun will go down,
and in spite of his crown,
the king will undoubtedly fall…
His rival’s strength
was mistaken,
by a king overtaken,
his life is now but a pawn.
His authority lifted,
the power has shifted –
an era of glory is gone…

Silk Scarf

Last night the moon told me to pass,
from that same knoll we used to walk,
midwinter's cold, after school's class,
- I heard the silences to talk.

The moon above, was a waxed smile,
transmitting to creation light;
the pines were present and the aisle,
recalled my bronze six buttons bright.

I think the night wanted to talk,
or maybe to attend and care,
something was missing from that walk,
but was ascribed in the hung air.

Arcane the moonlight and your stare,
asserted truths that were forgotten,
my only certainty was aware,
the pines our song recited often.

I think you passed alone from there,
before the solitude to nest,
upon my Oxford blue sky's fare,
and constellation of Northwest.

Ascend above the stars of then,
appreciate the ghosts of time,
upon the knoll I walked again,
amid the pines, the sage and thyme.

The arbor greens, recalled that scarf,
I bought from Indies, on last barque,
half-ended trip because the surf,
never revealed the moors in dark.

Blue waves on silk, buoyancy failed,
betimes it was this last of nights,
the winds of Indian reckon wailed,
sea waters entered from dead lights.

Sea impression

                 Wave a sea softened
and a pain and a tenderness
                   throw dreams in fascination
                   of the blue.
And let shave the waves of
                   Your eternity , oh, weigh
                    above me,
                    oh,weigh a coast of years.
                    Carry far in azure, spiral
                    with bulging little abdomens,
                    flutter with mahagony pinions
and already in vain expect you
                    to stop the scales harbours
with hot flames for You are
Far away, far away ,far away,
                    stretched string,
                    heart and frank await the
                    hymn of June.
All sea sisters are dressed in
                    mother-of-pearl garment
                    embroidered of kiss of
                    In the morning hunts them
                    fishermen and revive with
                    breath of their man’s hands.
                    In the evening girls wash
                    their black tunics,
                    in their blue hearts,
                    their feet white ,who cadge
                    heavy chains.
                    The night is squeezed enigma
                    and ugly,
                    predatory like a bat pecking
                    of scarlet fig.
                    Sea sisters, sea sisters,
                    remember His steps
                    which go through you noiselessly,
                  and ou swing like
                  bloody wine-
                 hold in His fingers Herod,
                 Pilate washes his hands,
                in Yours heirs
               and they bristled like winter
icicles bristles of innoncent blood .
               There at Golgotha
                hearing terrible cry,
                blood gushes like
               wounded river disappear
               like Easter roses,
              in weeds of flushed
     preditory crowd,
     to open way of
     Who is He?
     Do you heard
     His name ?
     He is Messiah,
     God’s anoited
      Jesus Christ.
      Like little sheeps,
      clouds of candy floss,
      they welcome festivaly.
       Barefooted are feet
      of lovely swarthy steps
of the sun, came to bow,
      before You , Creator.
      The sea throws his
       magnificent silver flesh,
      blue like heavently lace,
       to swallow all stars
       only Bethlehem’s
      stays inextinguishable,
       pretty like uncreated
      like an apple of not
      born girl.

dance on glass

I know her dance on glass at night
and how directs soul’s wounds to string
upon the nimbus raindrops cling
- prismatic moon of broken light.

Then she becomes faint shape to frame
her misty wander - face and faith
before the tears - beloved her wraith
pristine and fair her ancient name.

Lone garden’s sadness in her eyes
celestial blue - emerald coast
becomes her verse, solitudes’ host
and repercussions that incise.

She gallivants untimely role
(in void’s catastrophe stars glare)
soul dances in the scent of air,
evanescent the path of Sol.

She gallivants marginal dreams
and stars become far blinking smiles
how lonesome are the winter isles
and the ship’s frozen steel-made brims!

Descending light - circular flare
that fades away, beyond skylines
- erstwhile her soul shall sail on brines
evanescent celestial stare.

Maid of brines

Maid of brines
The flag was waving on the stern;
she stared saluting and the mist
my face on forecastle, coldly kissed,
- she tried my figure to discern.

The Adriatic was that night
half covered by a cotton cloud,
- endowed the night's adorning shroud
and took our ship afar, forthright.

A ghostly ship, a ghostly log
- the maid of brines had left betimes
addressed us with the sounds of chimes
that rang accordant from the fog.

Harmonious her song had welled
from depths, unearthly was the verse
that lingered in our minds' rehearse,
bespoken words, beloved and held.

Her image standing on the bow,
in dark my solitude enacts,
while shooting stars on earthward tracks
induct to quell by ocean's draw.

Our recklessness, the route defines
and nautilus' endangered role,
I know it's wrongful to recall
our bicycling and coastline pines.

The ghostly ship transports us there
attending to the deepness' shrine,
how beautiful the dewdrops shine
and grandness of her seaward fair!

A Farmer's Eyes and a Sailor's Shadow

A thorough yield
On a farm field of far east
It took me time to realize
How far I am to my far east of coast

Call of my weather
Call of my winds
I sailed further and farther
To my naked coasts
Naive songs, Nimble rains
Nile of rivers, Nascent clouds

Reaching this far
I kissed my earth
Ground of my grief
Glory of my ghosts
Glad is those leaves
However scanty they are

Cast is my shadows
No longer they hide
My colors and my figures
They cast numbers on stars
Measure their light
Scope my winters
Scale my summers
Scanty my rains
Scuttle I wish my springs

Now let me see my greens
Their leveling heights
Their leafy gaze
Their spiderly gesture
Their primordial texture
Now let me be slow
In company of my greens

The masters of the ocean
Depending on you
What can they do?
They are grieving.
The masters of the ocean
Are crying for you
What can they do?
They are leaving.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

All they want is ocean
and the space to run.
Freedom's just a morning spray
flashing in the sun.
All they ask is ocean
and the Hope to be
thankful God has given them
---------the sea.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.
It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

Glisten in the Moonlight

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

As the river flows

As the river flows

As the river flows
So surely to the sea
It’s power be a wondrous sight
As it roams the land so free
The path of no resistance
Is how she lives each day
I will learn from this old river
I need to live this way.

As the river flows
She takes all in her stride
Not dogged by expectations
Not held back by her pride
She flows into the ocean
She knows this be her home
She has no need to hurry
She’s just content to roam.

Oh, I’ll be like that river
That’s how I’ll live my life
All free from fear and worry
Until my time is rife
To join that mighty ocean
All filled with sweet devotion.

As the river flows
And things get in her way
She knows to never struggle
Just flows from day to day
And lets the power take her
To where she needs to go
Her softness melts all obstacles
Albeit, oh so slow.

The ghosts come stern to foreshadow
their routes westward to Atlantic,
nautilus trust to sea mantic,
- and ocean deities endow.

Their ancestors were apt sailors,
to serve an equal cause for years,
on compassed routes - funeral tears,
sabled wives shed to sea bailors.

The blue engagement is a spell,
that haunts the island men since birth;
whom sea engulfs is an owing dearth,
to morose depths of mournful well.

The sailors stand on the stern deck,
as dusk turns colors to dark gray,
with a harmonica's sad play,
the long tear shadows and stares beck.

Ocean girl I feel you riding
on the waves at night,
flashing in a brilliant spray
of mist and lunar light.

From the deep you've gathered sea shells
in your lily hand
tossed them to the moon like dreams
no one can understand.

Have you been someone I've known?
I guess I'm part of you.
Ocean girl, I'd love you still,
but don't know what I'd do.

Living in the dream you are,
and riding on the sea,
through coral reefs and shipwrecked souls
 for our eternity.

Crystal blues and yellow hues
from off the ocean floor
beckon to the wandering
I've always hungered for.

If I loved you once again,
as I've done in the past,
would it be a dream sureal
but one to never last?

Ocean girl, don't tell me now,
I'll never want to know,
where it is you're coming from,
or where we have to go,

take my hand and dive into
uncharted ocean's fate,
and as for what I am right now,
it will have to wait.

On early Friday evening I get everything ready for a long fishing trip,
having checked out the weather, I'd be ready by Saturday afternoon;
and while driving I'll sing lyrics louder than a happy coon...
my tenor voice wouldn't be muffled by an incoming ship!

The landscape is still may see a fox running after a wildcat;
aren't the Rockaways a delight to explore before a storm threat?
If there's a spot on the driest rock, I'll stand on it
and start fishing until the blue shore turns dark!

My poodle barks at kids making the ugliest faces...
thinking they want to attack me and do me harm;
oh, he's very protective of me! Oh, his affection amazes!
I keep on fishing by padding his head with my right arm!

Two hours have passed and I haven't caught any blue fish or squid,
and being so disappointed, I would love to call it quit...
but wait, something is making my fishing pole shake:
if the earth's plates are colliding, there'll be no tender fish on my plate!

Whatever happens, it's a delightful day to catch fish;
would ultra violent sun rays give me a bad sunburn if I used no lotion?
And although I'm bored, I intend to stay longer to fill up my bucket to its rim,
but surprisingly something pulls my long fishing cane down: it's sheer elation!

Smell the spring aroma and
let it delight all your senses...
don't the softest roses bloom
on windless, sunniest days?

Let my slow fingers caress your lustrous hair,
feel the pleasant warmth of a lovely afternoon;
on windless, sunniest days...
don't the softest roses bloom?

Only the truest lovers can set the white moon ablaze,
as the passing stars shed more light on their faces;
don't the softest roses bloom
on windless, sunniest days?

God gave us love freely as the air we breath;
humans have turned it into lust and doom...
on windless, sunniest days
don't the softest roses bloom?

My Wishes are Simple

My Wishes are Simple

My wishes are simple,
my desires few,

to gaze upon an ocean,
and marvel at a solitary drop of dew.

My wishes are simple,
my dreams not too grand,

to feel the waves teasing my tired feet,
with no footprints left in the cool, wet sand.

My wishes are simple,
my thoughts serenely gentle, calm,

my heart resting beneath a swaying palm,

healing my being, caressed by nature's soothing balm.

Just Be

Society, community, society, community.
You can leave now and let me be.
I will swim free, free in your sea.
Your sea? your sea, polluted now, Oh you will never see.
Broken hearts, bodies too, beloved inner child, I love you.
Breathe, breathe, breathe.
Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity.
I know now that this is all I need.
To be. To be. That is all, just Be.
Burn your toys, television too, kill the car, the radio.....
Unleash, unravel, these boys, disentangle, unblock, reset there mind, please sir,
could you be so kind?
Simplicity, Simplicity, simplicity.
Eye's clenched shut.
Now I know, Alone in my hut, not long to go, you will be free.
Free. free. free.
Buy the car, buy the house, buy the cow, consume, consume, but how?
Now, now, you tell me are you happy? for ever and art thou.
Ah ha, you see, you see.
Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity.
That is all I need, I choose now, my self is free?
Yes, yes, yes sir, me?
Free to sit, sit and just be.
Me? Free? free to swim in this endless blue sea?
I will just sit, sit right here, against this healing earth, oh so very near.
My mind is liquid, free to birth.
Just be. Just Be. Just Be.
Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity.

A Memorable Friendship On My First Ship

I write from my heart, not just words, but feelings of what’s inside,
Our hearts are such wonderful places where we can find things to hide
Like the ones that I want to remember, they are like pieces of gold
The warm memories that unfold when I think of the reasons they are there
Reminders of special people who I'll always consider my true friends
Just like you are and always will be my friend for every day to come.
Memories of that first day we met on a beautiful and wonderful ship
Will be with me as reminders of days on this cruise each and every one.

Caley you and I met on the "Sun Princess" and then we bonded fast
The time I had with you dear friend was great from the first day to last
I'll never forget the kindness you showed that started a friendship with you
You helped to lift my spirits up when I was teary and feeling very blue
I’ll never forget the tears you shed when I sang that day on the ship
I was touched as I saw you sitting there with tears running down your face
This was the biggest compliment that you could have ever paid me for sure.
Day after day I wish that I could have back the life I had more and more.

Life is full of many surprises I have found with challenges all the time
The best surprise I just received was aboard the "Sun Princess" so fine
I met a lady who loves jewellery, as much as I do on board this ship
She befriended me while we dined in the most lavish place to eat
From the moment we met we became the best of friends so true
Starting as we looked at jewellery or Swarovski Crystal too expensive for me
Or was it while we were dining as we sailed together on the ocean blue
I only know dear Caley it would not be the same if I hadn’t met you.

Sweet dreamland

On the sea of time I sail with you
The sea is calm and the sky is blue

We are sailing for sweet dreamland
We must hurry give me a hand

Take a look at those merry dolphins
It’s a sign. Do you know what it means?

I can see through my telescope
An island full of dream and hope

Take a look at those flying seagulls
I am so excited check my pulse

O my sweetie my near and dear
Be patient we are almost there

Like a river to the sea

Inspired by my very beautiful wife

Like a River to the sea

Like a river, to the sea
That’s how my love does flow to thee
Just like the moon reflects the sun
So I reflect your love, my darling one

You be my haven in a storm
When I feel cold you keep me warm
You’re my best friend, my lover too
You be my rose, my darling I love you

My darling every time I hold you to me
A symphony rings out from mystic realm
No matter what this life should ever give to me
I’ll ride each wave with you here at my helm

Just like a star that shines so bright
You be my light on the darkest night
You be an angel with such power
You nurture me and make my being flower.

Dream on

I dream on, from my dome to my chest
to my toes and to the tips of my palms.
We dream on, in the land of the free,
but where freedom comes at a cost and
sacrifice for others the achieve their dream.
I dream on, flying over an icy mountain top,
To the sweat taste of lemon drops,
To the cool relief of mist burning over a
desert black top as I brain storm lessening
to heart beat of my favorite song.
We dream on, from the top of
lonely tropical island hill top
to the sit and the smell of a breath
taking Forrest and to a falling
sun afflicting a shining sea
that is the best part of the day
I rather spend ending enjoying with a beautiful
woman... the sit and the breeze.

Revised- Reflections On A Gift Of Watermelon Pickle...

That half grown chrysanthemums/
Stirring up like accuser's.
Life is compared with what two things ?
Which do you think is the richer more revealing comparison ?
Poets use many symbols/
Geese flying south can be a symbol,
Of that of approaching winter/
Heart's symbolize love,
In this brief expanse we call life,
One may want to cry out in a revolt ?
Other's simply take in a breathe of fresh air/
Ponder that many other's that don't even care ?
We all must become united in this great cause !
Not to use this concept loosely/
Yet to humbly ponder a thought,
What do you all think tells a more detailed story ?
The poem or the picture ?
Love can grow out of a billowing cry/
Perhaps a cut nor a mere stye in the eye ?
The seventies had embarked on this journey/
Not to mention that of Timothy Leary ?
This took us to a vast opened door !
To break on through to the other side/
Lest I emplore,
Still we have every bit of reason in which to grasp/
That lattice decor to that shine on the asp,
A sweet juice filled with fine honey nectar/
The future resources,
Allow the creative poet/
To begin to explore the valley of much more !
In gaining the proper word/
Fresh out of the Autumn air !

Let Your Rains Fall Down

let your rains
fall down
let your rains fall
let your tears run to the ocean
hold none of them tight within
let the earth send them far away
send them far away
far, far away
far away from here

Written August 22, 2012

When I can squalor victorious
It's when I'll say
That I'm a ruthless young hooligan
Just for today

Here in the bedroom
Crime pours out in the evergreen
Bombarding on the beauty scene
Oh are you with me?

Charisma kills politically
Now and then it comes for me
Visionaries comfort thee
Coast to coast from sea to sea

Here in the bedroom
Colors flow across the morning sky
So beautiful I want to cry
Oh are you with me?

When I claim it in the name of us
It's when I'll say
That I'm as wild as a blunderbuss
Just for today

In everyone’s heart and on their minds there’s a special dream they’re trying to find. A wise old couple traveled the world in search of their unicorn dream. They came to an island in the sun then they knew their search was done. They captured a fabulous unicorn then they came home from their travels all tattered and torn they boasted of their fine treasure they had tied and bound. Then flash she set herself free with the magic of her own horn. The wise couple said “maybe it was for the best”. They knew they had been trapped for years in their own dream. Yet not to be discouraged by their last quest they set sail again to search for the best. No matter if you are one or ninety don’t hide your dreams. As sure as there is a morning star, your dreams may not be too far. It may be the love you never had. It may be the book you never wrote. It may be the song you really wanted but did not sing. Everyone has someone or something deep inside they want to have and hold and possess. Like the wise old couple keep on searching till you find your own happiness.

Ever South

Yellow leaves swoop by the window like
errant canaries, confused, bruised, caught
in a ghostly whirlwind they rise and fall
swirling, hurling, snapping like a flag unfurling,
trapped taut against the window
caught momentarily, autumn comes to
stir things up, to disrupt, the end of
summer so abrupt, ruffling the feathers
of the glossy blackbirds who darken the sky
in swarms and herds, crowding on power lines
they huddle together as birds of a feather,
cawing, seemingly cursing the weather,
so many on the line, a snapshot in time,
etched into my mind, sublime,
taking flight en masse to head ever south,
south, to warmer climes as I hear the deep
tones of my Gregorian chimes, thrumming
tones that rattle breastbones, I count the
autumns that have come and go and
I know, I know.

For Bruce Springsteen

for bruce springsteen...

it was a rain-swept monsoon day

way back then, so many moons away

when i felt the music strumming in my veins

setting me free like a runaway horse without any reins

you sang of simple truths,

your verse spoke to people just like me

in my lonely, wasted, and desolately quiet night

as you screamed out tragic human wrongs, and of everyone's plight

'bobby jean' spoke to me

of that girl down the street

glimpses of whom, we as innocents would furtively meet

and 'the river' that flowed through my ever-barren heart

led me down further roads of thunder

when slowly i finally learnt that the hardest part was fighting on

and never to surrender

to the hard-luck dreams that were born to run

while i danced in the dark

with memories vivid and stark

even as i whined like that dog who for forever lost his howling bark

and then a 'human touch' came along

and 'better days' seemed real, not just words in a song

and still you sang and swayed and spoke straight into my unseeing eyes

as gardens of secrets were opened, and as your fist punched the skies

in an anger that i too felt and in whose cauldron i too burned

as we saw murder get incorporated, while on its wobbly axis, our fragile world apathetically turned

and then suddenly i was told that i was all grown up

working on a highway of scattered ideals

and absolving myself by sprinkling some coins in a waiting cup

well, after all these years of walking along so many a thorny road

with an armour of your verse covering me, even as i hear them taunt me and even as they continue to goad

but now i can feel myself fading away, into the bleakness of this coming night

just like the ghost of that old tom joad...

Drifting Mainly

You belong to me mate ( Intro )
And that be that!
Get on board
And grab your hat!

The ship was aghast at its new passenger	( Verse )
Like disdain for the lives that they now left behind,
Newcomers were scarce
And they never would last
But I held up my chin nice and high.

The bloke who took me screamed	( Pre-chorus )
“Mop up the deck we’ve got things to do!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a boy and don’t know what’s to do.

And he said ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Taking the seas for more than eight moons
We found islands and loot
That was bigger than most.
The taste of sea air
With its wind in my hair
Took me away to this new life I lead.

After mopping the deck
He grabbed my hand and screamed
 “Steer this ship boy!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a lad and don’t know where to go.

So the crew yelled	( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shore
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Surprising to me
Was my unshaven face
The captain looked on
And smiled with grace,
We stopped at a place
Where the women were loose and didn’t mind
If we took a peak.

He said “Now you’re a man so let’s get on that boat,
We got places to be and some people to rope,
So grab that sword and drop that mop
Cause you’re no longer a boy in my eyes.”

I practiced the duel with the men in the crew
The captain took eye to my devilish pride,
And he took me aside and said
“Even in death I’m gonna miss you boy
But don’t let it strike you
Or kill your spirits
Cause even time can beat out the Grim.”

Then in the darkness came fire and screams,
Our vessel had stopped after fourteen years,
The crew fought hard and beat most of the men
But now, my Captain was dead.

We took the new ship watching ours sink deep
Saying goodbye to our drowning escape,
The crew turned towards me and asked
“What do we do?” and I smiled,
And they did to.

And we yelled ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Takin what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Summer Morn

The future lies unwritten on
the blankest, blankest page.
I’m born today and, safe to say,
on track to boundless age.

At anchor in a harbor on
the leeward side of time,
engaged in making love to verse,
in making beauty rhyme--

the heart has placed before the eyes
what Gods of hope have borne,
a well of sweet serenity--
and love like summer morn.

                                         Long love day's has past.
My mind felt with howling storms,
grasping to hold on to vanishing love.
Rape and abandon my weary soul
                                 transpires, poring with instant fires.
Oh this dark secret love does thy life
                                 Like amorous birds of pray,
                                 Once ways, and known devoured
Your beauty no more to befound
nor shall the sound of your voice.
Love to dust, love to ashes.
Our love has now gone to a private place.
                                        The grave yard of love.

away with the sun

Its getting late
but you already came
and while you were here
things never change
you lay with me
and tell me your words
then you leave
and I feel hurt.
Its not you that hurts me
but the sound of the door
closing behind you
I know for sure
you'd like to stay
but you never do
I'm left alone
missing you.
These days its more frequent
you leave so much
that you're gone more hours
than the day brings sun
and I have begun
to feel so numb
when the door closes
another night I run
far away from the thoughts I have
because its killing me to look
at my empty hands
I remember when we were on the sand
you told me you loved me
but you weren't my man
and so I walked, feeling okay
but too many months
now I want you to stay
Am I selfish?
asking too much?
You only visit me an hour
after dusk
and I must go on
but should I stay?
when you see me sometimes
but its always too late.

Siren's Song

She’s alone under beach lights, she’s screaming at air
wishing someone would notice, could anyone hear,
feel the anguish, the loss, losing battle of one?
She’s at war with the world and she’s comming undone.
‘It’s all wrong,’ left her lips, ‘it’s alright,’ said the tides,
‘sometimes we all need a safe place to hide,
to wait inside shadows, return with new light
cause we change and we change till the patterns are right.’
‘But this pounding resounding inside of my head,
I fear is the only thing tangible left.
I can hear it and feel it consuming my head,
eats me up from the inside, lays nothing to rest.’
But the water just turned and it crashed upon rocks,
became angry, determined, climbed onto the dock,
said, ‘Listen to me, I am old and I am wise,
what reason have I to fill you with lies?
I’m a part of your body, a piece of your world,
have I not kept you living since you were a girl?’
But her feet kept on forward at a steady pace
“I’m sick and I'm tired, I'm leaving this place.
I can wait no longer for the turning of time.
I'm the only one left and I’ve been left behind.”
‘But they’re here! Someone’s coming! It won’t be long yet.”
but her mind was as certain as certain could get
and the rushing of water had drown out the sound
as the pounding inside became heavy and loud
and the water, though angry, then grew very still
whispered ‘There is nothing if nothing is fueling a will.
I cannot instill a desire to live, eventual peace is all I could give.’
So she sank and she sang all the air from her lungs,
she breathed in the waves awaited silence to come.
“As I have in you, you may now flow through me,”
and the tides changed again as they dragged her to sea.

As two seas collide

A glance grabbed at my stomach
While my eyes streched into the heavens
As I caught his scent my, my legs moved on their own volition
towards the person that made me whom I supposedly am.

As he strode down Doll Street
The Sun guarded him from behind as The Wind fought him from the front
His body hard and beautiful
His eyes a stormy sea wrecking ship by ship
His tongue speaking the language of man, love and other things too.

My weak mind couldn't resist such beauty
It collapsed and wept
Because for him I will die but not live
Is that not the way things are supposed to be?

The storm caught my eyes in my own tempest
and as the two collided all was calm
My mind still wept and his body still beautiful
but together we spoke the language of love
and shared the tongue of man.

Now the Sun guarded me as well
Even The Wind thought my an enemy to it's eternal bitterness.

An equation with little importance
A lesson taken in physics class
But, something the physics teacher said made deep thoughts emerge
He said: “TIME goes on and never stops”

Places are visited and memories are cherished
Pictures are taken and smiles are captured
Walls embrace stones of reminiscence
TIME passes by, wishes are made, and we are enraptured

Age secretly whips pieces of our memory
Eyes narrow to symbolize remembrance
Then, we believe those pieces are lost
And our good TIMES vanished

These are nothing but mere ploys
Played by our mind
For those memories are at the back of our heads
Ready to appear whenever you, dear reader, want

To me,
T ales tune temperate
I dioms idealize indigenous innuendos
M ajestic mnemonics mollify memoirs
E xistence ends, Eternity endures ecstasy

Remember, dear passenger, that you are the leader
Lead TIME to the pleasant manors
Show TIME the warmth of what is within itself
Reveal the secret of importance to every second in TIME…

passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment in life…” –Anonymous

Chancy thinks its soo fancy

Is it you ? is it me?
Stuck in a world of a fantasy
Heart beats, unceasingly
Is this what they call ecstasy?
Some say “the heart wants ,what the heart wants”
Yet the fire is oh! So enticing! Tranquilizing!
I adore it! I fear it!
Chancy foot stands transfixed in front
The petrified foot it taunts
As it takes one step back,
Chancy stands there and laughs
Torn between the two…my heart weeps
What path to take? My heart! Guidance it seeks
The fear of falling
Holds me back
The want for love
Pushes me back
The shackles of scary bounds me tight
Chancy is there, never to give up with out a fight

Arising a hurricane is what they doo
My poor feeble heart, knows not what to do
The heart is pure. It seeks it strives to find who proves to be true
The ultimate still unknown
For here my heart still stand in the sea of unknown
Cupid I beg you do guide me
And dare not strike me and leave me
With your arrows of blind love
Guidance is what I need
Give me that and I shall heed
Leave me not in the dark of misery
Leave me not in the sea of mystery
But guide me to that ever shinning light
Scary or chancy
With what do I side?
Shall forever remain a secrecy….

Beneath the Swells

In the waves,
white horses run --
And gallop right up to the beach;
To rear back at sight of sand,
Then tuck themselves beneath the swells
And trot along the ocean floor;
To race up to the shore again --
Beneath their hooves the thunder rolls,
As sea mist bellows from their nostrils,
			       In gasping breaths.

Amazing Grace Wash Over Me

A prayer for those who are in dispair along the Gulf Coast due to the BP Deepwater Horizon
oil rig explosion. A prayer for those who waited and their loved ones did not return, Amazing
Grace Wash Over Thee.

Amazing grace wash over me.
My tears are a river to the sea.
Lord above, we know you know,
the oil that is washing upon our coast.
Amazing grace wash over me,
and lift my soul up to Thee.
Lord above, hear my prayer,
for those who are in dispair.
Amazing grace wash over me.
I lift my hands to God you see.
My prayer for those who were hurt,
and those who will never return to earth.
Amazing grace wash over thee,
families were left in disbelief.
Empty hands, their loved ones gone,
Lord Jesus, guide them safely Home.
Amazing grace wash over me,
the oil is filling up the sea,
from Louisiana to Mississippi.
Animals are dying,
and people are crying.
Amazing grace wash over me.

Stony cliffs surround the
  as waves buffet
        the shoreline
The lighthouse keeper stands alone
He will weather the storm
     Fierce winds blow
               from the North
  Yet he persists
in his duty
He knows that ship captains
      depend on him
He lights up the beams
    They cut through the
Preventing ships from
      crashing on the rodky coast
Th isolation of the lighthouse
       is part of the reason
the lighthouse keeper
    does not falter
  Standing alone he saves
large vessels from destruction

In Your Love

Every time you kiss my lips
I am drowning, I'm drowning
Like a never ending abyss
I am drowning, I'm drowning
Every time you whisper I miss you
I am drowning, I'm drowning
In your love, in your love.

Life doesn't seem dangerous
When I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
Don't take it so serious
Cause I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
I don't care what they think of us
Cause I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
In your love, in your love

EYE Don't See -Part 1-

My eyes
Pour forth feelings
That I’ve felt in the past
They make my heart ache…
Take it all away…
Oh my God…
They’re making me sink in dismay

When will they break away?
When will they give me a break?

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye don’t see
A happy ending in this scene

My eyes
Journeys into the unknown
Who knows what will happen…
They’re like hidden treasure…
They’re buried far below…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Oh my God…
They’re driving me insane
When will they see my reflection?
When will they heal the infection?

Eye don’t feel
Raindrops of hope and relief
All I feel…is grief…
Eye sense no peace…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Does He hear
My supplications?
Does He sense
My fear?

My eyes
Conceals the tears that dare to spew out
I feel trapped and lost without a doubt…
They erase my delight…
They seek my hurt…
Oh my God…
They’re casting me away into the perilous sea

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace throw out my fear?

Eye don’t see
A ship in sight…to save me from my demise
My lifeless body...
Drifts away in the wild ocean...
Without a sound...
Without emotion...

Eye don’t see
A rope to hold on to…
My hope for peace
Has drowned…

Warm Waters

See those waves comin' fast?
Babe, they ain’t gonna last
Don’t you wanna take a dip?
Don’t worry, prepare for the trip
It may be cold but not for long
Don't let 'em tell you it's wrong

Pull the pin and ease it in
Let the warm waves crash and flow
If you want more just sing the sin
Your troubles came now watch 'em go...

It's a one way ticket to nirvana
Babe, we can have more if you wanna
Just sing the sin, I'll pull the pin
Let's see how fast we can spin
But first! Before we hit the deck
Let’s be safe, just one last check

Pull the pin and ease it in
Let the warm nirvana calm and blow
If you want more just sing the sin
Your troubles came now watch 'em go...

Let's see that good lookin' pearl
We should go and take it out for a whirl
You know you want more, so do I
But before we swim let’s go and fly high
One more dip in those waters can't hurt
We might get wet so take off that shirt

Let’s pull the pin and ease it in
Let the warm waves crash and flow
If you want more just sing the sin
Our troubles are gone, let's get blown...

Pitter-patter rain drops fall on me,
I hear a cute little bird chirp on the tree,
The winds pass by and they ruffle my hair,
I enjoy all this seated on my chair.

Is the sky blue or angry and dark?
Will the clouds fight and cause a spark?
Are the children out with paper boats?
Monsoon is here , the weather denotes.

Lush green is grass everywhere,
Children run and raincoats they wear,
I can feel and enjoy this lovely feeling,
Treasures of nature,I feeling like stealing.

How I wish I could see,
Alas! "Blind" is the word for me,
Colourfull world it must be I guess,
But Oh! Black is the only colour with which I am blessed.

Unrelenting traveller

Eight salty Beaufort striking my face
at the edge of Inverness.
With my hands wide open
I'm balancing like a seagull
in front of the black and angry Atlantic.

I feel your lonely sunset
as you cross the ocean for hours.
I feel your longing wave
as you come to reach and burst out on the beach.

But since I was a child
an unknown star
permanently drives me to chaos,
and it is impossible to resist.

I travel thirsty on clear waters.
I travel hungry in fruitful gardens.
With great eagerness,
that suffocates inside my breast.
With an insistent deputy,
being stuck as chewing gum under my shoe.

This world is so vast.
and this brain, so restricted.
When will I find a beach?

From my northern city full of rain...
I came to this splendid island of Capri,
and through the blue eyes of Emily,
that constantly remind me of that southern sky,
I saw the beautiful expression of a true smile,
a smile that drove this man insane!

" Ci vediamo a Capri, "
she said to mer sadly...
trembling and trying not to cry;
and though the April' breeze was so warm,
she shivered...reaching for my hand to hold!
Oh, Emily that wasn't a goodbye!

O island so full of fragrant, pretty roses...
waiting for those passionate lovers:
I must depart from you with sadness,
hoping that tomorrow I will be back!
Oh, sweet darling...oh, lovely Emily:
I won't be gone for long...from you and Capri!

" Ci vediamo a Capri, "
I told her with an emotion, so hurt and deep,
that brought me to tears...until I couldn't breath!
" Ci vediamo a Capri, "
I said aloud as I caressed her face so soft and young,
a face that I would remember in my Neapolitan song!

" Ci vediamo a Capri," I shouted over the calm sea!
" Ci vediamo a Capri," was my promise to Emily!

Burnt Tongue

I'm so happy that you can yell at everyone
I'm so happy that you can express youself
I'm so happy that this world isn't what you expected
I'm just so parched that your so high up on your horse

And now I'm mad, now I'm sad, now I just dont understand
Why you care about two people fallin in love
Why you care if I drink or if I do drugs

I just wanna scream into your eyes
Make you realize that what you say isn't always right
Now right and wrong, it's all opinion
Black and white, yes I think they deserve, to be colors too
So how about me and you, is there any truth
You cant change the world with one voice if the tongue is burned

I'm so happy that you can climb a mountain high
I'm so happy that you think its my job to be the wife
Yeah I'm so happy that your such a hypocrit
I'm so grateful for you to tell me lies

And now I'm mad, now I'm sad, now I just dont understand
Why its your job to fix us all
And preach your words to a raging band
Someday you will see
That there is more than just degree
In this world that we praise peace
Peace is lost in the sea

Sea of Tears

My eyes are gazed on the floor
The shadows are lying down my way
Step by step I feel the years blow
In a trail we must not lay

Avoid all the passion
Looking for someone down the trail
The sea of tears blocking my possession
No ship or love to sail

I can still feel her crying
As the world I felt so strong
Is now out of my designing
As it was for so long

Drowning in my way
I can still feel the pain
I cannot save myself, no place to lay
And for the world, my pain is in vain

I can still feel her crying
And I cannot help myself from drowning
In a salty, banned feeling’s sea
Whose feelings come from me

None hear my desperate calling
As my life is going down the current
And only I can save myself from dying
The sea of tears won’t end

See the sadness in her eyes
Drops of sea are coming from those eyes
Avoid all the passion to save herself
Spirits of feelings that still live and kill as well

But if you want to go sailing again
First you have to learn how to save yourself
And if you want the sun to dry the creepiest sea
Than you must teach yourself how to save me

Surging in the water with nothing in our hands
Searching for air and hoping somehwere that there's land
Cause I don't see anything in sight
And I don't feel the need to continue on this plight
Somehow, somewhere
Can't quite compare
How we once shared
It seems like such a neverending game
Swimming the ocean but I still can't see your face
I'm sinking down and can't float
I'm sinking down with no hope
Somehow, somewhere
Can't quite compare
How much you cared
I'm going down, you're going up
I'm praying hard you'll make it stop
You're all the oxygen I need
Take hold and help me breathe
Help me breathe
I'm lost at sea
It's just me
There's no air

Soak My Tears Into The Sea

" Soak My Tears Into The Sea ... "
(A Poem-Song Lyric)

Soak My Tears Into The Sea
As They Sail Into Sunsets
Merging With Fluid Memories
In Floods of Love - I Can't Forget ...

Soak My Tears Into The Sea
As My Face Is Washed With Spray
Will It Dip & Drain Onto My Cheeks?
Find Dry Ground Or Drown This Day? ...

Soak My Tears Into The Sea
Like The Anchor That Was My Heart
That Dropped & Tangled In Thick Seaweed
& Pressured 'Til Lungs Burst-Part ...

Soak My Tears Into The Sea
On Rising Crests of Fathomless Foam
Dispersed; Disolved - In Shameless-Streaks
In The Wake of Ships Now Gone ...

Soak My Tears Into The Sea
Let Them Meet The Teeth of Sharks
Where We Once Played Fearless & Free
... In Waters Now Cold & Dark ...

Soak My Tears Into The Sea
To Surf On Waves of Waxed-Moonlight
Then Let Them Softly Fall To The Deep
Salty-Brine, Yet Shimmering Bright ...

* * * * * * * * * *

... O' Soak My Tears Into The Sea
... Soak My Tears Into The Sea
Soak My Tears Into The Sea
'Til All Tears - Sank Into The Seas ...

Elegy for Heidi

Elegy for Heidi
The clock ticks away.
But there is no layer of time
and no decision to make.
I have been jaywalking
on the edge of the roof
for the last few weekends;

down below the grass looks
already dark, depressed,
as if death has made it.

then a bird, a simple
blackbird sits on the bough.
It cries out and a hand

rises from the green earth
like a bride waking from
her bridal night, gleaming.

I know, I know, I know,
we are all life’s disciples.
“Come on, wake up!”
“My God, you are from East.
It is
Still night here.” She said.

Part 1, On the Other Side of the Mirror, Lit Op 1

Narrator’s View I

1 Day I was born, I have questions my own,
My heart and my soul would willingly ask,
But I’m all vessel with Innocence’s crown,
Nor these are normal, new born’s hourly task

2 Likewise a tree all in island alone,
I was dwelling where in all I know least,
Doing nothing’s all I can do but mourn,
To the answers I seek, stilled in the mist,

3 And to come with the time where I can gaze,
Upon those clearest of lights from the sky,
I saw the world painted most joyful days,
And details of sadness that made me sigh,

4 To wander, to seek, my eyes were then fixed,
To a Place where all seemed painted the same,
And then my heart whom drummed as if
were tricked,
Did spoke to me from the other side came:

Song of Reality

5 To you I greet and welcome to this world,
Land of Reality, seen is adored!
Come herein we give treasures of doses,
And golden beds with cushions of roses!

6 We walk upon the sands of truth and real,
To where are path, the moon-left waters seal,
And when the light of dark had fetched the East,
The waves refine where no marks left to feast.

7 And to our west, the greatest River flow,
To where we behold its rushing sorrows,
No dates we ever face the current’s root,
Ahead are vultures dancing on their loot!

8 These dreams of men that rule many a month,
Destiny and time’s harmony shall grant,
But these the sea and sky had owed to make,
Meet at horizon—illusions are fake!

9 For all these are good if summit attained,
But failure achieved, crude hope still remained,
All trials and works will product to naught,
Unless the sea and sky—together brought.

10 This is the world’s nature, fruit of God’s will,
Older than the first stream of lights he seal,
That this nature, to the man’s realm must live,
All men shall receive, to smile or to grieve.

11 No gods are we to change all everything,
To make the crows cry, to make the snakes sing,
Sorrow and sadness the world has to grow,1q2
But all feel comfort, the great River’s flow…

Daddy Now Please Pray With Me

Daddy now, please pray with me,
for today I'm sailing stormy seas.
I know you say you're but a man,
who tries to live the Master's plan.

I'm weathering gray storms, except a few,
and the turmoil would drown me, if not for you.
The wind is so strong, the waves are so high,
Tattered sails against the sky!

And I recall you telling me,
of Jesus Christ, Who calmed the seas.
And yes, small faith can the mountains move,
and how He died His love to prove.

So Daddy now, please pray with me,
to God's sweet Son, Who dwells in me.
For I am daughter of a man,
and weak at times and cannot stand
against these tides of shifting sands.

You say, "He's still upon His throne",
and with our prayers, I'm not alone!
And God is good and loves me still,
He will offer strength to swim these swells.

Oh Daddy now, please pray with me,
Some choices I made were not of Thee.
At times I've wandered and gone astray,
I feel somehow I've lost my way.

Tell me again my right hand he still holds,
and how in heaven the streets are gold, and
once we're there no one is old because now
Jesus holds my soul!

Daddy now please pray with me like when I
was a child of three beside my bed on bended knees.

And perhaps somehow these words I write, may move
another to change their lives, for Jesus loves me this
I know and his blood has washed me white as snow.

And when you've said "In Jesus Name" I feel brand
new and not the same, so daddy now please pray with me
though I am grown and no longer three.

He'll lift me up on wings of love and forgive me
of all the wrong's I'v done! Then I can drop my anchor
deep and mend white sails on peaceful seas!

the world
in my hands

it's time
to make
my stand

for the love
in your hands

it's hard
to move

under water
sometimes i think i'm going down
sometimes i feel i'm gonna drown
sometimes i feel i can't feel
so i go under water

i don't want to hear it no more
i don't want to hear it no more

i take my chances
i'll capture hope in the moment
there is no tomorrow
no matter who is there
i'll save your ashes
but you're just a moment
you're just a moment
just a moment too much

under water
sometimes i think i'm going down
sometimes i feel i'm gonna drown
sometimes i feel i can't feel
so i go under water

i don't want to hear it no more
i don't want to hear it no more

My soul

On the infinite of sea
without shores,
only the horizon
run the clouds.

I remember,
from long time ago,
on the hot sand,
a young man
love a woman.

As the wind on sky
lavish the clouds
also the time
our loves.

As the dreary night slowly vanishes,
taking along the weary stars,
but the wakeful moon decides to stay...
I awaken with the new sunrise
admiring the glimmering sea
with colors resembling diamonds!

I breathlessly wonder
why God has created it
with a painter's hand,
and giving us that joy...
a devine joy as a reminder:
that all He has made is entirely His;
and in the same manner
we care for our bodies
with much preoccupation,
we must take care of all creation,
so that our children
can enjoy it indefinitely!

Among fields of jacandra and dandelions swaying,
I awaken with the new sunrise in sheer delight...
to face life as it was when nobody was there;
and we can imagine the thought running
through God's mind to put a human being there:
to watch and control the beautiful earth!

I awaken with the new sunrise,
to discover a small bird soaring...
going further and further up until
he has picked up the speed of an eagle;
I awaken with the new sunrise...rejoicing,
opening up my spirit to a song of praise!

If I'm still living, I owe it to my Lord,
and there aren't days I don't proclaim His word...
when I awaken with the new sunrise,
and I gladly watch the golden sun radiantly rise!

Night of the Ghost Knight...

Tender Rose! watch tonight
I reach thee there, in a wondrous flight
Sighs, storms not any more
as wanton winds soften the roar.
Tearing apart the paths I 'll be
trotting triumph through the untamed sea
hold unto thy dreams for a while
as riding I come charging the vile.
Queen of hearts, my charming bride!
shining I near over the tide
Danger, Death my old delight
truest promise tonight, must see the light.
Dogs, savages of the dark
Come an' they shall be ripped apart
Guides me truly...heavenly a spark
never let Fear rule thy heart.
The moment I kiss this castle enchanted
my silver armor in crimson painted
four or forty heads...I need not know
though fiery monsters shall be lying low
Moonlit sword shall drink the sun
the fire of my breast shall make them burn
Fear not faerie queen then, my faerie dove!
witnesses every move...the angel of love.
Softly like rain...fall into my arms
O' Heavens! Thy countless ethereal charms!
I shall fly thee...through kind the flashes of the moonbeams
away from mid summer's night's dreams.!
Unpin the braid...we'll sail in the wind
hoofs won't touch the hard roads blind
into the sea of love...where no chains can bind
as mortal fear, mundane terrains...we leave behind...

Note-As the sailors enter the Thorde sea...they can hear a faint voice singing. As they
move further deep into the waters...the wind all of a sudden hums low an' the voice grows
distinct. A clear ringing voice...pain or ecstasy, they cannot make out. It sings of a deathly
night...of a Knight an' his beloved...the rescue an' an almost successful escape. That the two approach the sea...the knight finds his ship...set ablaze by some
treacherous spirit...gone unbeaten. At this moment of great fix...ten arrows strike the knight
from the back...poison tipped. The beloved princess is speechless in' she
knows nothing of this immediate dreadful strike. As a knight ...never falls or fails...he looks
above, at the gleaming heaven in earnest' with his beloved holding him close; he
storms into the sea with the horse. The waves this moonlit night...remind you the tale once in above...

Love's medium

Like fish dancing

we frolic in

the sea of love,

our bodies turning

and turning

around an invisible centre

skin touches skin

gently like rose petals touch

your face

as they flutter to the ground

in the breeze

how do we speak

except by gestures

of the heart?

how do we know

except by loving touch.

Sea,infinite sea

trusting the depths

giving ourselves away

with hands reaching

to touch again

then floating

side by side

Our medium is fluid,

no boundaries ,no edges,

washed here and there

we paint our love

into being

our bodies the brush,

our hearts the canvas.

Such sweet impressions we make ,such dancing

Spring Feeling (an ode to michigan)

I love farmland in spring
and new beginnings
and winning in extra innings.
I love a fat lady singing;
barbecues, chilling, grilling;
no curfews, imported brews;
a lime or two beautiful women;
swimming in ocean michigan.
Bonfires waterside
with fire flies flying by;
whiskey bottle by my side;
sitting, sipping, simply wishing
summertime would continue.
But autumn's harvest wont be far off
and winter blowing in is looking grim.

Sand Castle

Let’s run to the beach
and play in the sand
and build a sand castle
big enough to live in
for the rest of our lives (the rest of our lives)
I’ll build you a tower
and fill it with flowers
a bed of daisies
you can sleep on
As the weather gets hotter
let’s lay by the water
and enjoy the ocean spray
falling on you and on me
Let’s listen to the waves crashing
crashing all around
Lay back and close our eyes
enjoying the sound
We can play out under
the bluest of skies
Gently kissing
gazing in each other’s eyes
And as the sun slowly starts to set
we can settle down
and lay on our blanket
Staring up into the dark of night
pointing out the shapes
of starlight
Let’s run to the beach
and play in the sand
and/we can build a sand castle
big enough to live in
for the rest of our lives
for the rest of our lives
Big enough to live in
for the rest of our lives
for the rest of our lives
for the rest of our lives

Heart Beat

Sleepless and confused, my mind wonders around like a lost child,
all this gray and rain makes me think suicidal.
Having to do the same stuff over and over again is pissing me off,
so i lay away to this sound of the beat i got playing so soft.

My only escape is and every will be is this beat,
trust me it can put on a good show so have your self a seat.
It will rock your world from the wonders it can do to you,
cause this sound is from the heart and soul and that is true.

Most people don't believe me that music can change a persons life,
it's only cause they have never experienced a good fight.
A fight for there own life, and the only thing that brought them back was music,
but they still refuse to admit that it's not magic.

So go put on a set of headphones and tell listen to a beat or two,
cause by the time you are done i will be asking you if it aint true.
So that's what i am about to go do is put on a set of headphones and listen through,
cause it's not what i can do but what the music can do to you.

Sirens Calls

I’m a cleverly cloaked demon, seraph skinned.
You’re my seductress with your songs luring me in.
I’m beautifully scarred and vainly sinned;
Disguised enchanter, deceiver, My heroine. Bewitched, entranced, taken to another dimension. I’m a serpent at play disobliging all the rules. Caught off guard by your harmonic muse, Called out to sea, love-drunk like the other fools. Confused and abused. Your love you still refuse. Is it to late, can this spell still be defused? So just turn away, go astray and leave like they all do. Grant me one last kiss and then I’ll bid you adieu. The seasons change, wither, die and renew. Destructive and Caustic, this uncanny love like flu. Haunted in my dreams, plagued by the sight of you. You’re the earth and also the sea, Thought you as a healer but you only enslaved me. A sly curious creature, devious and sexy. A winged Siren, callers of doom like in the odyssey. I'm forever possessed by your song and beauty.

Dark Shadow Island

I'm living in the boat on the ocean
No sun. No cigarettes
Tomorrow I will find you, my heart feels it
You know, you were the only one who I really loved in this dying world

Take my hand, let's break this town
My love, my love, my **** love
My heart was in my mouth
I want him. I am so sure

Don't hide from me, honey
Don't hide from the dark past
'Cause she is on the another side
She's waiting for you, baby

I said "Everything is going to be alright"
You said "It sounds like a lullaby from my mouth"
I was repeating it thousand times
But that dark past shadow ruined you

Take my hand, let's break this town
My love, my love, my **** love
My heart was in my mouth
I want him. I am so sure

I want him
I want him
I want him

My Heart

I can't find the words to console you
the right lyrics to take over and control you
but theres nothing that we can do
the good times will come and the bad times will pass
We're running in a race and were going way to fast
I don't want to let you in for the fear that you may win
My heart...............

Oh when my camera takes a snapshot
smile with every miniscule amount of happiness that I've got
Feet in the sand, walking hand in hand
dancing to the band I don't want to go on because at the crack of dawn
you may break
my heart.........

As the rain bombards my hair
wetness everywhere shake it out its okay
you'll keep me dry if I stay but if I stay
the fear is near that I may give you
My heart...............

So that I can see You With Your Glory

O God brainwash me by your great thought
Give me wisdom to thank you a lot

O God eyewash me by your sweet light
Wake me up make me feel alright

O God, come to me in my sweet dream
Please don’t sink my ship don’t make us swim

Good bye, summer, well, it's time to go,

Good bye, summer, well, it's time to go.

I hate to rush you, but you really must go

say Good bye, summer, good bye!

Well, it's the middle of September;

I’m just tired of you and your heat.

Oh, I hate to rush you, but you can’t

Repeat Refrain

Now, autumn and winter,

Might hate it if you stay here too long,

One shake and we'll part, and you'd better

get going, although you served a purpose.

Final Refrain:

Good bye, summer, well, it's time to go,

Good bye, summer, well, it's time to go.

I hate to rush you, but you really must go

Good bye, summer, good bye!

In Shock

In that mouth: gravity hides. Weaves
A brand new world. Broken millstone
Wrapped round the ankles. Tortures of
A sepia vision. Forever there – eyes
Glazed and the lullaby of sleep.

Radio waves creating distorted spectres
On the membrane. She cooks feasts. A
Detour through lazy days and nonsensical
Drawings. Harps play in funeral pyres,
Ashes relaying messaging to those across the sea.

Screaming manifestos uttered by the false prophets.
Echoes of former time – dusty skin, rabid and raw.
Eaten in carved dwellings with parched lips.
Falling from rocky deserts, broken hearts
Captured in purges. Modern economy.

Nameless ghosts tickle this side of reality.
No, divinity. Degenerating woman grips with
Painted fingers to the ledge that’s close to
Breaking. Flesh petals await her in the
Abyss. She smiles though, adores.

And falls.

Read me verses
vibrant with life,
not sad epitaphs;
paint me my portrait
with a lustrous light...
be a Cavaraggio, or Rembrandt,
and my replicas sell in the market
for a price that suits any wallet.

I was given a name,
and with gilt I embellished it;
gladsome to glitter and giggle,
blooming as a rose bud caressed
by the wind's soft breath;
and its seed will be transported
far-away, to germinate by a godly temple,
and there I will meet a favorable, clement fate.

A tombstone is the place
for the soul's eternal rest,
my bones will lie within it...these brittle bones
once covered by flesh, but its spirit
will depart to ascend from the realm of mortals;
and sleep it will...until a mighty voice will awaken it,
there with the angels of Paradise I will write my praises,
and seeing the sorrow of the living, I will act upon their behalf.

Read me verses
vibrant with life;
epistles that the New Testament's
devoted scribes wrote.
Sing me odes of the glory to come, put aside
the longest elegy, don't trifle
with my final wish, everything else is trivial;
look into the Heavens, I will smile...

ballad of a wintered songster

Brandy and Crème soda
Autumn summons us
Shoulder to shoulder
We know not
If we’re getting older
We are self confident soldiers
I give you the best
Of my brandy and Crème soda

Early and on we shall
Through these days of despair
Autumn prevails
Ways to soften
Whom could offer such a touch
A warm letter in the mail
Growing adolescents
A young man
The consequences that follow
A growing male
The turmoil that soothes us
Is growing ale
The spice that tips ginger
Snaps a small town singer
“I love you”
It’s going to be a long winter
Shall we withstand
This duration as centered
Look to no one
For flaws
seem to dissolve our mentors
Passion is Rum
Whiskey endures
cold nights and un-sober palms
A rapist telling me
“I love your mom”
A young harlet calling
“dear love come home”
A shelter
From where doubt comes
The city’s filth
Why it loves only my lungs
I’m good, I’m fine
Expressions in a glass of wine
Through these words
A strangers poetry
You and I
have become intertwined
I’m lost, I’m alone
I feel as though
I’ve become undone
Run, run, away and fast
On to no where, as orphans
We were found at last

Yesterday we held so close, sharing tenderness
Heaven was our refuge from an earth deprived of sweetness;
no gray and dark clouds in our sky so wide and blue...
when we sailed from a sea which welcomed the smiles of two.

Looking out from my window, no desire is deeper than mine,
but wishes are dreams not easily obtained by being sorry...considering this reality;
and it might take forever to see one realized in present time,
but my faint hope is kept alive by remembering a lost passion only evoked by felicity.

Tender love of yesterday, will you quickly return to these lips?
I long to smell those roses and see the thousands butterfly, so shy,
circling around us as we kissed watching the foamy waves roll by...
making us dream of the many treasures in those sunken ships.

Sunlight refuses to come in on a sunny day, although my garden blooms...
so sadness is the mood I'm caught in, and unable to escape it, I seem to dread:
imagining your revengeful phantom pacing the floor of these cold rooms;
and would you harm me for my unfaithfulness and rapture me in that world?

I haven't loved anyone the way I loved you, but temptation was stronger than honesty,
and losing all that I desired to complete that wonderful dream stolen by error,
everything fell apart..making me feel worse than a soldier stricken with terror;
can I still feel the joy of each sensation through a lost passion only revoked by felicity?

Fly me to the Titan
Let me walk among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Venus, Jupiter and Saturn
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, Honey kiss me
now and then

Fill my heart with peace
Let me smile for ever more
You are all I long for
All I desire

In other words, please be loyal
In other words, I love you so
Please come here!

The Sea

Our words swirl and entangle us in webs of
brutal honesty and things left unsaid.
We talk and talk and talk about nothing,
the void between us growing wider and wider
as I sift through my mind to find things
acceptable to say.
you mentally turn my face and look
into my eyes, probing deep inside
while i rip you apart from limb to limb,
still not finding whatever I’m looking for.
you are my question, my answer,
filling me as you leave me empty, lost,
drifting in this overwhelming sea,
your sea.

We reach the peak of our work out.
I fire off questions as you rapidly burn
mental calories one, by, one,
unraveling and unraveling the layers
to your own consciousness.
Once you get going, you cannot be stopped,
so I curl up and watch you blaze by
all magnificence and splendor.
I see you pause and glance aside
– see her face and stop. As you take in
her eyes her smile her wit her looks her laugh
you start to sink, weighed down
by an ever-increasing love
and you drown in this overwhelming sea,
her sea.

We’re at the point where there’s not
much more to say, we lay bare before each other,
totally exposed, no mystery at all.
And yet you still call,
night after night, without fail.
And still I answer, knowing it’s you,
and knowing that at the final click
you’ll leave feeling happy and released,
and I’ll feel like this –
tight and empty, still swimming
towards that unreachable goal
just beyond the surface of this overwhelming sea,
my sea.

Yeah, I’m like an island with no leave
Direction with no destination
A tremendous distance from where I’d belonged so long
Once a deep-rooted tree, exemplary in foundation
Now amputated, indeed from my haven

Once quite fair and desired
This road’s got me withered and tired
And Im longing for the coast in
A tone I’d never thought possible
How the melody of the sea has abandoned me!

Once I dug my heels in and traveled far
Now progress has delivered me hardly at all
If these prints were pods of salt and water
I’d be home alike my mothers daughter

And I’m longing for the coat in
A tone I’d never thought possible
How the melody of the sea has abandoned me!

Ocean of Days

I am just an Empty Chair
Seated in a Sea of Flooded Sand
Holding a Personal and Lonely Vigil
On this Riskiest Edge
Of both Soft and Solid Land.

My legs beneath me are Strong
I cannot allow myself to become Weak
I must possess a certain Fortitude
To not be swept away from Life's Lonely Beach.

Oceans of Days try to continuously pull at me
They attempt to sweep me far away
Like the tides they come sweeping in and out
They assail me day after day
I hold on to my balance dearly
To not falter and get swept away.

They never stop assailing my essence
Their days seem to have no end in sight
They seem to feel completely within their rights
To be completely and utterly obsessed with having
My inner self as their solo obsession.

They keep trying to erode my every thought and prayer
They attempt over and over to sweep me away
If ever I were caught completely unaware
They would most certainly pull me under
To the depths of their neverendings
To the unconciousness of their unending days.

I hold fast to my stability
To my little chunk of solid earth and solid land
To try and stay within my beloved earthly realm
Of timely air and lovely breath and ever inquisitive man.

I am just and only an Empty Chair
Seated in this Sea of Flooded Sand
The Oceans of Days surround me always
I am as an Island in a Sea of Man.

I am all alone in this Ocean of Days
I fight againt the forces that would rule me.
I try and hold on to my Stoic Vigil
On this everchanging Sea of Slippery Sand
On my Last and only Good Precipice
Of what I hold so dear as Solid Land.

I am a Stoic Island
Surrounded by a Sea of Turbulence
That does not care
It does not care
Whether I live or I survive
Of this fact I am fully aware.

And so as I exist alone on this Beach of Life
Wishing to be Seated as Two but am Seated as One
Braving the exposed plight of my disappearing youth
I have seen the Seasons come and then just as quickly go on
Time truly waits for no Woman or no Man.
This is the most evident of Worldly Truths.

I hold on fast to my one and only concrete thought
That my existance should not and only be
Just my means to my eventual and final end
To my Life there should some Meaning be
That there should be something of myself left behind
Besides just an Empty Chair in a Chaotic and Flooded Sea.

I find hard to move around,
dragging my aching body,
unable to do even the simplest chores...
yes, I am very sick of flu:
it's something I can't undo!

I will not go to the hospital,
lie in a comfortable bed for hours,
coughing and sneezing waiting for a call...
while spreading this virus and infecting others.

I'm missing out on brisk walks
that keep my immune system healthy,
and no blues frustrate me more than loneliness...
come spring and let joy renew itself in this memory.

My remedy is Robitussin by far,
a miraculous cure for cold symptoms,
and since I can't go out, or drive my car...
I indulge myself in the creation lyrics.

It's my first day back to work,
I'm drinking coffee, and I shouldn't,
but these headaches won't go away...
unless I smell it, sip it and dream away.

Without You

Memories of you grab my heart and tear me apart
I can't keep living in the sea of acid
It burns me from skin all the way to bone

I am good without you
I am living without you

But, years of our memories hunt me down and killing inside of me
I can't keep living in the sea of sorrow
It suffocate my heart and mind
Just cut out my heart or kill me with pains

I am good without you
I am living without you

The game of life I must play

Requiem of a Broken Heart

Soul burning with tears not yet cried,
The moon calls out to me in a sea of forbidden love.
Promises made to a heart that’s been broken
Do nothing more than tear it apart.

My mind cries out in anguish,
The damages cannot be reversed.
Walking on Hallowed grounds,
Whispering sweet promises of a painless eternity,
The grave calls to me.

Clinging to your bitter sweet memory,
As I watch you gather the pieces of my heart,
Only to throw them away from me.

Soul burning with tears not yet cried,
The moon calls to me in a sea of forbidden love.
Promises made to a heart that’s been broken
Do nothing more than tear it apart.

Dreams envisioning perfection,
Linger on my mind.
Unending love within my reach,
Never again to leave.

Sweet delusions of love,
Whispering endearments in my ears.
Winning my heart over,
As your wondrous eyes reveal
Your poisonous lies.

Soul burning with tears not yet cried,
The moon calls to me in a sea of forbidden love.
Promises made to a heart that’s been broken
Do nothing more than tear it apart.

Love us as if we were there,unforgettable friend;
love us indefinitely: like a real mother would!
And we promise to keep your affection in amorous care,
because the same sea you look at and adore...
still separating us, is not different
from the one you are staring at!

Remember us...when you'll gaze at the sea;
those undying words and smiles are alive as much
as they were yesterday; and we will not forget!
No darkest sky, with sullen clouds, can ever match
the inner sadness that this sea brings upon us!
No bluest sky,with striking beauty,
can ever be as lovely as your thought;
when a good heart cries: it seek out sympathy!

Remember us...when you'll gaze at the sea;
your many embraces and your last kiss
did leave such an unbearable pain, not felt silently,
as our tearful faces leaned upon yours!
Remember us...when you'll gaze at the sea;
don't be grieved,or helpless:
unsepareble fried, love comforts even the lonely!

The Sea, The Violent Sea

Upon the sea, the turbulent sea
I see a ship, a sailing forth
It’s being tossed, tossed so hard
That I’m afraid it’ll fall off course

So maybe I, the lighthouse keeper
Can guide her in and save the day
Oh look upon, the bright lit beacon
Sail, oh ship and come my way

Now, she ports, she has set anchor
Now the men, they come to land
May they stay, stay in safe harbor
Another day, they can sail again

You Are By Amy Matthew ASCAP c) 2005

 I look at your face
and all I see
is heavens angel smiling at me
everyday and every night
I thank God
for my shining light..
you are the one thing that I hold true
and I hope you feel the same way too girl

 you are
the one that I adore
you are
what life’s worth living for..
you are
everything to me
the air the earth and under the sea
you are
the sun and gentle rain.. only my heart just can’t explain
the way that I feel when I’m with you.. ooh
no one makes me feel the way you do..

 ooh I watch you sleep
and all I can do.
is close my eyes
and breathe with you..
every sight and every sound
this heart beats with the love we found..
ooh you are all I’m livin for and I can’t imagine wanting more no

 you are
the one that I adore
you are
what life’s worth living for..
you are
everything to me
the air the earth and under the sea
you are
the sun and gentle rain.. only my heart just can’t explain

Fountain of Passion

In Your Fountain of Passion As You....
Lay your body next to mine
Let me feel the blazing heatbeat of you
Kissing Licking each other in the moist intimate of spots
tasting your passionate delicacy
The flavour to savour
the flavour from your erotic perfume
Breathing the aroma, fragrance of you
The sweet smells of your womanhood
Let me feel the desire, Take me higher
Hard and swollen, Plump between your thighs
You feast on me au naturel
Cosume your hunger, your desire as you drink my fountain of passion
Come to me, Cum with me, I will show you X-T-C
Taken a land of desire
Our bodies quivering...trembling
Dripping whet in our Vibrations of Passion
Lost in Your body...Wraped up
You have taken me home
You lost in my body
Your body is my home
Drenched in each others Passions
We have taken the action
Drenched in X-T-C
Drenched in X-T-C

Ride On The Wind... Forever

I Want To Ride On The Wind… Forever
I Want To Ride Over Land and Sea
I Want To Ride on The Wind… Forever
… and I Want You Riding With Me…

I Want To Ride On The Wind Over Mountains
And Touch The Sky, So Blue
Then Raise Oceans, Like Sparkling Fountains
And Splash Through Water, Kissing You

I Want To Ride On The Wind… Hold Its Mane
Ride The Wind… Wild and Free
For The Wind – Will Never Be Tame…
So Hold On Tight and Just… Breathe…

… Ride The Wind – Let It Begin – Ride The Wind
Ride The Wind – Breathe It In – Ride The Wind
Ride The Wind – Blow Again – Ride The Wind
Ride The Wind – Raise The Wind – Ride The Wind!

I Want To Ride On The Wind – In The Moonlight
I Want To Ride On The Wind – In The Clouds
And Wave To The Wings of Eagles in Flight
… then Float like Snow – Dancing Down

I Want To Ride On The Wind Forever
I Want To Ride and Rush-Up Rainbow-Stairs
I Want To Ride On The Wind – Forever
For Your Sweet-Breath Beckons Me… Everywhere

… Ride The Wind – Let It Begin – Ride The Wind
Ride The Wind – Breathe It In – Ride The Wind
Ride The Wind – Blow Again – Ride The Wind
Ride The Wind – Raise The Wind – Ride The Wind!

The glass domain

On wings of a solitary flight
Cerulean waves cascade to the shore
Their rhythms nod on a moon lit night
Taken for grant it we shall forever
Watch its mystery unfold
For there are depths we never
Have discovered
Below its cradle of movement lay
A world of aquatic life that hover
Teaming along in their search for being
In darkened doorways dressed in seaweed
As they swiftly rock in a lullaby fleeing
With curious eyes lurk around the corners
 Protecting their space
From night time foreigners
Seeking a meal
Another world resides here
Leaving man chartering in a unacquainted
Water abode sphere
Auditory sensations muffle with echoes
With the crying of whales
Leaving man to meditate the details
On the wings of solitary flight
Cerulean waves cascade to the shore
We rally in its allure

One Heart, Two Lives

O, Pearl of the Orient! The island
Of the islands in the Far East---
How nostalgic
The humming wind and the sea, the sunset
And the mountains, the rice fields and the people
The Boleros and the Jeepneys
Don’t you worry, Inay, your beauty
Is still within me

O, Athena! The babysitter
Of my lonely soul
I tiptoed, like a fog, into your beloved fortress
And sit on the ruins
Of your pasts, daydreaming
I, the poet, crowned with rhyme and verse
And well-adorned, with pearled barong
From the islands of the sea

Mexican Waves

The waves crash and I feel lost
you might not see a connection
but somehow, there it is.
In a world so wide and full
I don’t imagine how I,
insignificant as I am,
matter all that much.
Though I may be
the center of my universe
as the ocean takes its
daily route from one shore
to the other,
I feel amazingly small
and lost in a world
that will keep on turning
no matter what I do
or how long I stay
and after I’m gone
lives will be affected
but nothing will change
for I am really of no consequence
to life.
I am alone.
Life is nothing but
a perpetual state of loneliness.
Even within
the circle of your arms
there are times
when I feel that signature chill
creep over me.
And even in this Mexican heat
I feel cold
utterly alone in the world
as everyone

Ships at Sea

Ships at sea the moonlight gray,
As I ponder and I pray.
 Three lost souls forever gone,
As I weap so very very long.
Show my sorrow to the dead,
As I join them in my head.
Though the holy prey for me,
As I cry and as I bleed.
Ships at sea the moonlight gray,
As I perch upon my grave.

Erase all the unrealistic images that appeared at night
from ever dream you ever dreamt;
let love become real, frantic and bright,
something erratic, not remembering where it went.

Live in the moment,
and feel the warmth of each lovely sunray,
to make you feel alive,
but you should start today;
live in the moment,
without recalling how deep you sighed.

Forgive yourself for your selfishness,
open your window and welcome the sunlight;
before sadness was your friend on a lonely night,
now, happiness brings you kisses of tenderness.

Live in the moment,
adventure awaits you in meadows of clovers,
in the fields of sunflowers, where lovers
find the solitude they need to explore desires;
live in moment,
and days will not turn into unpleasant memories.

Taking Charge

We come from down under
With a voice of thunder,
Yet stunned into wonder
By the things we say.

Throw down past failure
On the shore of Forgotten,
Stand tall as a captain,
Shove off with a shout!

Free wheel's in our grabbers,
Fierce wind's in our favor;
Cut loose every anchor
And sail with a smile!

Hear the waves roaring now,
Feel how they buffet now,
Plunging us down again,
Lifting us high!

Life is the sea of us;
We're not afraid of it!
Sweet the salt brine of it,
Onward we go!

Hail to the lightning there,
We're up for fighting there!
Reefs all about us, bare;
Now we attack!

Breasts are now laboring,
Death is not favoring;
Strike for your life-love,
Stretch for your goal!

On through the wave-crash
Of wishes and mindlessness,
On through the hatred
Of men that can't do;

Steer through the foolishness,
Rush through the madnesses,
Wade through the bubbles
On up to the beach!

Isle that's awaited us,
Be not afraid of us;
Souls of Atlantismen
Come here to stay.

Home of the sea of us,
Life of the deeds of us,
Smile of the style of us----
We, who are free!

We come from down under
With a voice of thunder,
Yet stunned into wonder
By the things we say.

sailing to the end

Patiently sitting on this grave mute ship
On which time had cast a spell
Around her endurance on the water of life
Hindering her sustainance that she strife
Against the stormy nights which dwells
At the heart of the sea, compelling her to trip

Old as proclaimed by her once youthful job
To avoid wreckage she lowered her anchor
Paused for strength admist a great race
Which other vessels in the ocean now face
To the roar of the thunder, the sea cries for encore
While whirling was the wind taking us around his orb

Towards the habour of the sea of life
We sail hopelessly on its solitude for a sight
Or glare at the beauty that was said
To be visible not to the living but dead
The shortcut many have found was with stormy Nights
Over the vast sea but with one heart, we still drive

True love in a bubble

...her laughter through
the phone...
my love two miles away...

...her voice in celebration
as the sea surface filled
with thick salty spray...

her heart filled description
of the sea this delicate yet
spectacle so magically appeared

thousands of sea salt bubbles
filled up the sky filled up the air lone sea salt bubble travelled

found its way
to me...

I too started laughing
this magic bubble appeared
so naturally

two miles away love sent
a magic salty bubble...

sent with happiness
laughter and love...

my love said in jest
next time my darling
I will send a dove...

Wheel of the Sea

Somewhere in the past
through the winds of time
where lightening blazes across the sky
a ghost ship forever sails
a voyage endlessly upon the oceans strength
with the winds uncertain draw

Wheel of the Sea

in the hull of her ship
a melody linger on
near a flickering candle
the outline of a man
the captains restless spirit
a trumpet in his hands
his harmony echos through the night

Wheel of the Sea

a ghost ship invisible to the naked eye
forever sailing the waters of time
the many journeys
the many storms
the many storms
the many years gone
a faint melody in the air is all you'll hear

Wheel of the Sea

sailing the northern blue
round to the southern rise
in the sky the strength of every new dawn
adventures on the oceans tide

That Savage Sea

The savage sea comes calling me
In good times and in bad
Reminding me of the friends I lost
And the lovers I once had
But it never comes in the daylight
Never steps out into the dawn
It creeps up on me in the shadowed night
Stealing behind my yawn

So goodnight dear I love you here
In this sordid salty bed
The sheets are stained with blood and tears
But your angry love remains

But the angry sea it never stops
It comes and goes and comes and goes and comes
It stays near to me like a stranger’s tune
Like when the old man starts to hum

I can’t recall when the setting sun
Last dropped below my eye
I guess the savage sea had robbed me
Turning memory into lie

I wish back on that day
When lovers turned to hate
But forget me in the evening
For me it’s just too late

No artists palette could create such beauty and warmth
No poets words or singer could explain how I feel
Only rays of sunlight breaking through distant clouds
Or a peaceful ocean’s horizon

The stumble of a new life as they take their first step
The sound of a river flowing freely to the sea
Your presence is nature
Your beauty, your ways
You are so much with me
It warms me each day

Compare you, I can’t
There’s nothing as sweet
You’re heaven sent
You’re my gift from above
You’re all that I live for
It’s you that I love

'Til Dawn

I was a lookout, port side of our ship
So I put my weather gear on
Captain said sailor, that is your duty
You're going to be there 'til dawn
I used the big eyes, spotted an island
And called to the bridge down below
There's an island to the port side, time's on the short side
Sir, won't you please let me go
We moored in the morning and he gave me fair warning
Sailor watch how you carry on
You can leave for a while and visit the isle
But by midnight tonight we'll be gone
There was a mandolin playing, her body was swaying
Through the night the music played on
I forgot my duty, entranced by her beauty
So I sayed on the island 'til dawn
Now I sit in this jail but I can still sail
In my dreams until my time is all gone
I still sail some with my bottle of rum
And I dance with her memory 'til dawn

Lifes An Ocean

For Anne

Life 4 me, is like an ocean.

To be knocked down, a normal motion.

Get back up, waves knock me down.

I try again, & I nearly drown.

Won’t give up, it’s part of life.

Would not feel right, without the strife.

Can try to take an easier way.

But F.Y.I., the waves will stay.

So take a note, this is my gift.

Go with the flow, ya get my drift?

The Sea

The calming of the sea
The very palms
In which
every man wishes to be
No boundaries, free
Where men fought for hollow trees
With branches, limbs
Bare arms, no sleeves
With the fragrance of fallen leaves
Upon these times we wish
We dream of molecules
Endless mercury to kiss
Lain for now and tomorrow
My life,
The melody,
You have all come to miss
Welcome to the calming of the sea
The very palms
Inwhich every man wishes to be

Night falls upon the ocean deep
When all that is weary and fast asleep
Silvery sage colored moon
Hanging over a blue black ocean in June

Mixing up a bowl of vast sea mystery
Your bountiful glory deliveries thee
Hung above your horizon line
your ebony view is peerless and undefined

A calming rush onto sand and shore
Your most admirable cycles to explore
Bottomless caverns and hidden decor
Thrashing movements reach a tidal roar

Salty wake of white foaming endurance
Thready seaweed washed up on the land
your texture and frangrance spread out in a strand
Night ocean you perplex my intrigue
I watch through this window despite my fatigue

tome of days

And I’ll sail forever
My ocean of mischief
A sea of comfort
My hymn of peace
Love comes with in the drift
My heart tears from the rift
Life my burden to hold
Above my shoulders in lift

And I’ll sail forever
The moments
that flatter our cheeks
A child, A fleet
Of inspiring smiles
Our happiness our triumph
The displeasure in vows
My judgment in trials
An episode relaxed
Racing for miles

Who’s to tell me
I cannot sail
Toward which wind wanders
I am but a sun lit rise
Growing ale
Most prisoners ask for freedom
Letters of ordinary tales
Photographs and mail
But I think
I will forever sail

I thank you for your comments
I acknowledge them, I walk on
In search of wonders
Stress free, a place to belong
Don’t you wish you were home
I’m writing for pictures
An image clear
Yet no one sees
Then again who am I to be
I’m only running with the sea

This is amazing to feel the beauty of the Sea

So deep and big
Delight to the eyes for a feeling so intense to see

So heap and thick
Living creatures of variety are busy in the Sea

So steep and twig
Exciting to travel in a ship to see

So creek and rick
The wonders of the level of the Sea

So reap and nick
The reasons to believe it to see

So bleak and lick
Is the aspect of the Sea

So flick and hit
Which is the best side to see

The Fishermen

“One shall always be strong,”
His words swung with the cold air,
 “One shall always believe,”
It was like the waves were
Strengthening his tone and words,

There he lay on the big rocks
That hid him by the shore,
He contemplated the beautiful
It all made him feel alive at the moment,

The droplets of water
Tenderly slithered on his skin,
Like cure to an illness;
His pain was diminishing,
The fire of hatred was being

For the first time in his life,
He felt optimistic,
It was the first time for him to use
“Half-full” and not “Half-empty,”
To him, it was a life-changing moment,

Thoughts continuously rushed
In and out of his head,
Reminiscences and past-experiences
Came back to relive a beautiful moment
With him… A moment of “Life”

“If I were…” he whispered,
“If I were a…”
He mumbled what he wanted to say…

“If I were a tiny fish that swam freely across the ocean, would I be free? Or would I
just be the bait to some other fish? Would all these fishermen take my freedom
away? Taking me out of the water till I suffocate? Shall my life end because of
them fishermen?”
He said indignantly,
He was filled with rage.
“Would I always live my life with no one’s sympathy? Just me…”
His tears started falling,
For he took out all his hidden pain,
He faced reality again,
And stopped his denial…

After minutes of sorrowful-confusion,
He stared at the sky again…
“O’ fishermen,
When will y’all ever come and get me?”

My Lover

As darkness falls across the land, my lover takes me by the hand... Together we
fly above the trees, over the land, riding upon the gentle breeze...As I look down,
afraid I may fall, he whispers into my mind, "don’t be afraid at all" I look at him
and smile, he looks at me and winks....Oh how I love him! I silently think....On thru
the night we soar, tis never enough, leaves me wanting more... We land next to
the sea and walk along the waters edge, just him and me.... The love we steal by
the light of the moon, leaves me in rapture, hoping we will be together soon... We
fly back across the night, moving regretfully into the light... As I lay asleep, I await
the darkness to shroud the land, I await my lover to take my hand....

Rain or Shine

Rain is so wet and gloomy
It is a good day for a movie
Whenever you want to go out and play
It is always a rainy day
Sunshine is so bright and cheery
The hot weather always makes you tired and weary
The sunny days are the most happy ones
Because those are the days you have so much fun
But whether it is rain or shine
I know I will always have a good time

Maine a place of magic

Haunting lighthouses up and down the coast
Humming noises pass through like a ghost
Jagged rocks that can be seen from afar
Some of them so big and black as tar
Bar harbor a vacationing spot filled with dreams
Joyous sounds of children on the beach that gleams
In the marshy distance an artists paints
They worship this scenery like a lonely saint
Maine and its landscape of beautiful places
It shines like a jewel
Amongst the local face
The smell of the sea in your clothes
Cool emerald water that tickling your toes
So much to see, so much to enjoy
Whales leaping in the air
From a distance, they look like toys
The morning sun wakes here on east first
For some it’s a blessing for others a curse
Miles of mountains lakes and streams
A fishermen delight it all that it seems
If ever I place remains in your soul
It’s the breathtaking wildlife
You viewed here on a stroll

As I think Of It

My poem, as I think of it,
I am taken to solitude of happiness,
Where the bitter memory of yesteryears
Disappears, without traces.

I am delivered in spirits
From hell of anxieties to an exotic paradise
Of hope, where it is me and my poem
Alone for a moment.

There’s rhyming sonnet, and beautiful verses
Even a haiku, too, you’ll see as you gently peek
Thru my soul, fed by the reflection ripples of the sea
With placid water so warm and really blue. I sigh.

The magical seasons of pink summer night,
Of white winter noon,
Of golden fall day,
Of bright-green of early morn. I breathe.

Sweet caress from the rhyming sea
As I look deeper into my heart,
A poem, sweet as me as I whisper to you
My life, not of yesterday, but of today.

Follow me today and ever.
Keep to my rules and ways.
Don’t let me ask you. Be clever!
I’ll offer you the happiest days...

Listen to my tempting whispers.
Trust me. Believe me. Follow me -
I always keep my promises.
Listen! I’ll take you out to sea,

We’ll pursue the horizon line,
You’ll be my helmsman and captain,
We won’t lack adventures and wine.
Oh, don’t resist the little sin...

I’ll show you the kitschiest sunset,
I’ll make your wildest dreams free...
Don’t light another cigarette.
Only obey me and follow me...

Waiting and wading

I was out on moon gone island
Waiting for a friend
Wishing we were back there on our own
You’d be squeezing my hand
I’d be round the bend
Higher than those sunset clouds are blown

In a world of swirling colors changing
Answering my why
Flowing seconds re arranging
Canceling each lie
Like time blown jet stream brushstrokes on the sky
While in the mist
The times we’ve missed
Go wishing in the dark to cry

So I waded in the rolling thunder
Feeling rushing sand
In that special place of wonder
Twixt the ocean and the land
Living in the spell I’m under
Wishing you were there to hold my hand

And in the roar of crashing waves
With streaming screaming gulls
The rhythmic dying smashing gave
Back echoes of the end
I ‘d once more count the cost and lost
A friend
Out on moon gone island
