the day you flew to Heaven

We knew , it was if a moment stopped in time
hearing the news before most of the World did
He loved to fly his plane from Colorado to Monterey Bay
He was a avid golfer at Pebble Beach respected

He had loves and passions from many places
deciding to fly low through the overcast red sunset
Not only did he love music and inspire all
He loved his Plane , he will always remain a beautiful Soul

The next day it was confirmed ..all saddened
It was John Denver's plane that went down
Today in Pacific Grove stands the Memorial
So Kiss me and smile for me we will ~
              always in loving memory
OH babe , do we hate you go ~

Buried at Sea.

I watch the ocean waves from underneath it all.
Deep down.
It's getting harder to breathe.
This water makes its way into my lungs.
You're suffocating me.
Just leave me here, you haven't changed at all.
You fall apart, every time you start.
Just start realizing you can't replace the hole that you put in my heart.
One last breath to say goodbye.
I'll tell myself a final lie.
"I'll make it out alive."
The only thing that can feel this hole is the water that buries me at sea.
It'll feel the void, complete me.
Will I ever feel my limbs again?
Is this the end of my suffering?
I don't feel like waking up.
I can't wake up.
I can't see the sunrise anymore.
I have sunken to the ocean floor.

Ocean Eyes

Ocean Eyes...
You do not wish me harm
Yet you drown me
In your pools of crashing seas
Your waves breaking my arms

Your ships carry my thoughts
Your winds cool my days
Alas, my confessions kept at bay
Hiding under sand and rocks

Your heart has become my continent
I desire to explore your countries,
Ride your dreams,
Discover your forgotten memories;
Every string of music
that hangs from your trees...

Fate has painted my desires an illusion,
The heart's demise...
No matter how hard death tries,
I'll always remember you,
Ocean Eyes.

Moon Dance

The waves slide over the shore
Leaving tiny, squiggly trails
The moon and sun battle for the sky
And the big, bright moon prevails.
The beach is shrouded in darkness
Dimmly lit by only one light
That dances through the undertow
Marching its way through the plight.
A stencil of gray laces the sky
Creating a vision of death
Slowly overcoming the shore
'Til it takes its last breath.
The ocean itself which had once held
So much life in its depths
Has become drowned in its own contents
It is meeting its own death.
A storm lashes its way
Solmnly across the sky
To make room for what will unleash
That will cause the very moon to cry.
Dancing and waltzing across the shore,
The moon sadly turns away
She can't bear to see her ocean like this
And witness it going astray.
With one, final, swift motion,
She casts her love out to sea
The love she held deeply for her ocean
The world, and all her countries.
She makes her way back to where she belongs
And lets the sun take over the sky
I didn't, in all my years,
Think I would ever see the moon cry.
But she shed those tears so bravely
And dried them so nonchalant
She turned and made her way back to the sky
Like it was something she could never want.
The moon had lost the battle
And, defeated, began to fade away
Then the sun began to dance, too
To celebrate a brand-new day.

Sometimes the sea brings hope to me
as if a dream has come and meant to be
it weaves a spell I know too well
within a time that's known but to the sea.

An empty sound is all around
and echos from what walls there may be found
a click--a tap--a buzz--a snap,
within the time that fills my empty sound;

the light goes through eternal blue
and into space as light can only do,
as pressure grows, my being flows,
contented in the dream I'm flowing through.

A poem wrote by me, based on Person who is a deserving icon but still struggling hard with his career life and addressed as disturbed creature.

DISTURBED CREATURE--> Am I ??       BY Mrs.Madhavi Suyog Pagare

Am I so insane, Am I so mad,
Dramatic mood of mine is so die hard.
Destroyed my peace, Shattering my dreams,
People call me as disturbed creature.
As like mounting the pain, attenuating the drain!!

Digesting my feelings lying inside me,
Strangely nobody cared, call me sick.
Teasing me lavishly and my heart is pricked,
Hurted me like hell when addressed me as stupid.
As like showering rain, missing on the lane!!

Time lapse in journey of life,
Can hamper anybody on its path.
When I see innate reflex of mine,
I always use to brightly shine.
Though possessing every job attributes of mine,
I never thought the authorities will ditch and hamper my career line.
Falsely acting bloody swine, making my image as fade as wine.
As like affecting harmonious divine, my soul was, as is transparently pristine!!

Destroying me and testing my patience, Never wanna give up.
Transformed deviations, wanna rightly screw up.
I wanna raise up, I wanna shake up.
I wanna wake up, Tranquilize my mind.
Unzip the professional life compressed by the culprits.
Wanna explore myself, driving the motivated heights of journey.
Lastly waiting for the optimistic opportunity.
Cuffing the suspect ,I wanna rejoice by my pattern of life!!

Glisten in the Moonlight

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

The masters of the ocean
Depending on you
What can they do?
They are grieving.
The masters of the ocean
Are crying for you
What can they do?
They are leaving.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

All they want is ocean
and the space to run.
Freedom's just a morning spray
flashing in the sun.
All they ask is ocean
and the Hope to be
thankful God has given them
---------the sea.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.
It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

The Journey

I'm on a journey now,
Destination unknown,
Into the world outside my home;
A path the sun has never shown

I' won't be there so soon,
It's gonna take a little while;
Like the distance to the moon
But can't be measured by the mile

Through the winds of neptune I try to see,
Barefoot across the burning ground.
Keep moving on that's the key
To keep my bones from being found

Across the oceans of this world
I swim the distance with a salty tongue.
I fight against the curl.
Upon my muse my fate is hung.

There's nothing such as time.
This journey's ending soon.
I see the final stretch to climb
In the shadows of the moon.

I came so far from all I'd known.
Through misty shores I see what's true.
I've found another home.
I journeyed here for you

It's Not Over

Don’t say it’s all over (cause it’s not)
“Sorry” won’t cover it…so don’t go on your knees and pray for my forgiveness
Oh baby…don’t listen to the commotion…I’m done taking cover (it’s all for naught)
I’m plummeting in slow motion…into the remorseful pit…I’m plummeting in my nightmare’s abyss

I want to carry you through the night…
I’m swimming in the ocean of my tears…
My sodden wings lost its ability of flight…
You've been swimming in your distress for years…

Shut up! Don’t say it...
Don’t even think of it (don’t even ponder it)
Hey! Don’t say it’s all over…though we’re breaking bit by bit
‘Cause there’s more treasure to discover

I want to remind you to fight the good fight…
My misery pools are brewing inside of my head…
I’m backing away from the light & exploring the night…
You’re giving in to sleep and I’m wide awake on my bed

Shut up! Don’t say it...
Don’t even think of it (don’t even ponder it)
Hey! Don’t say it’s all over…though we’re breaking bit by bit
‘Cause there’s more treasure to discover

Please don’t tell me…oh, don’t tell me…darling!
You’re giving up today… (I beg you to stay, despite your inner pain)
I’m scared I might erupt – it could be quite startling!
Someday, things will change for the better… (Don’t turn the wrong lane)
I’m waiting for that day to arrive – perhaps it will wash away our dismay…

I promise you a tranquil reality
I want to stray with you tonight
I still have hope that He’ll set us free
I was wondering if you could stay the night
Maybe the Lord could grant us
Pure, incredible delight

Shut up! Don’t say it...
Don’t even think of it (don’t even ponder it)
Hey! Don’t say it’s all over…though we've plunged into our own pit
‘Cause there’s more treasure to gather…

Ocean girl I feel you riding
on the waves at night,
flashing in a brilliant spray
of mist and lunar light.

From the deep you've gathered sea shells
in your lily hand
tossed them to the moon like dreams
no one can understand.

Have you been someone I've known?
I guess I'm part of you.
Ocean girl, I'd love you still,
but don't know what I'd do.

Living in the dream you are,
and riding on the sea,
through coral reefs and shipwrecked souls
 for our eternity.

Crystal blues and yellow hues
from off the ocean floor
beckon to the wandering
I've always hungered for.

If I loved you once again,
as I've done in the past,
would it be a dream sureal
but one to never last?

Ocean girl, don't tell me now,
I'll never want to know,
where it is you're coming from,
or where we have to go,

take my hand and dive into
uncharted ocean's fate,
and as for what I am right now,
it will have to wait.

Turn on your light

Turn On Your Light.

Turn on your light

Turn on your light
Light the velvet softness of your night
You might have felt that breath of sweetest power
In that silver moon
That paints the twilight hours
Have you ever felt that mystic pull
That takes you from the smallest flower
To melt into the all.

I sometimes stand there staring at the sea
As each wave reaches out to destiny
To fade and then to come back
So another wave might form
To be destroyed
Then to be reborn….

Turn on your light
Pass no judgment, who’s to say what’s right?
No need for this when light is shining bright
Have you felt such magic
Have you felt that pull
It’s something that must happen to each fool
He must learn how to melt into
The silence of the all.

The secrets they be wrote within your soul
Seek them out and let them make you whole
Each flower it must bloom then die
So know your precious I
Must be destroyed
To be reborn…

Transformation of Propensity

As I walk upon this road of life…
I desire the path absent from strife…
Free from monetary delusions…
Free from Egocentric energy games of confusion…
Moving from hoping there is greater purpose to existence…
Into knowing the significance of removing resistance…

Floating within the ocean of motion, seeking to find inner peace…
Surrendering to the will of inquisitive nature, allowing false beliefs release…

Show me my dreams, revealing true desires…
Show me the mystery to ignite the passionate intension fire…
Show me my source of loves purity…
Free from judgments latent with fearful insecurities.

Floating within the ocean of motion, seeking to find inner peace…
Surrendering to the will of inquisitive nature, allowing false beliefs release…

I am a seed floating among winds of change…
Nurtured by the fertility of divinity…
To flourish is to breathe…
Mind is the soil for my seeds of desire…
My spoken word is the sunlight, the water…
Creating materialization of tangible fruit…

Floating within the ocean of motion, seeking to find inner peace…
Surrendering to the will of inquisitive nature, allowing false beliefs release…

My Wishes are Simple

My Wishes are Simple

My wishes are simple,
my desires few,

to gaze upon an ocean,
and marvel at a solitary drop of dew.

My wishes are simple,
my dreams not too grand,

to feel the waves teasing my tired feet,
with no footprints left in the cool, wet sand.

My wishes are simple,
my thoughts serenely gentle, calm,

my heart resting beneath a swaying palm,

healing my being, caressed by nature's soothing balm.

Irish Lads Dream

To sign aboard a whalin' ship
to hear mey master wail
such orders I'd be mustered to
like settin' o' the sail,

contracted for many a trip;
for all the life of me;
I'd be a perfect bos'ns mate,
the best out on the sea;

I'd man the harpoon at his call,
he'd know how good's me aim,
providin' ole for burnin lamps
in homes who need the flame;

an' every mate would know that I
am eager for me stout,
at any port we'd pull into
as sailin' all about;

an' when a gale should try to sink
us down into the brine,
I'd hold the course and get me to
a favorite lass o' mine.

For Bruce Springsteen

for bruce springsteen...

it was a rain-swept monsoon day

way back then, so many moons away

when i felt the music strumming in my veins

setting me free like a runaway horse without any reins

you sang of simple truths,

your verse spoke to people just like me

in my lonely, wasted, and desolately quiet night

as you screamed out tragic human wrongs, and of everyone's plight

'bobby jean' spoke to me

of that girl down the street

glimpses of whom, we as innocents would furtively meet

and 'the river' that flowed through my ever-barren heart

led me down further roads of thunder

when slowly i finally learnt that the hardest part was fighting on

and never to surrender

to the hard-luck dreams that were born to run

while i danced in the dark

with memories vivid and stark

even as i whined like that dog who for forever lost his howling bark

and then a 'human touch' came along

and 'better days' seemed real, not just words in a song

and still you sang and swayed and spoke straight into my unseeing eyes

as gardens of secrets were opened, and as your fist punched the skies

in an anger that i too felt and in whose cauldron i too burned

as we saw murder get incorporated, while on its wobbly axis, our fragile world apathetically turned

and then suddenly i was told that i was all grown up

working on a highway of scattered ideals

and absolving myself by sprinkling some coins in a waiting cup

well, after all these years of walking along so many a thorny road

with an armour of your verse covering me, even as i hear them taunt me and even as they continue to goad

but now i can feel myself fading away, into the bleakness of this coming night

just like the ghost of that old tom joad...

The Lady Flies from The Ocean to Return a River

    In her slippery salmon swim
    And red streaked Crawdads chute
    Into her eddying pools
To stare at her from beneath rocks.
    Whitewater rapids challenge men
To stand against her torrential frame
And face her, screaming out in pain
    Torturous centuries of ecstatic rain
    To be her solitary stone
To stand against her all alone
A true man to soften her cold soul.
And who’ll be her Reigning Lord
    Echo her insanity
To lover her shade and slippery slopes
    Crevices’ waiting, sharp inclines.
Once a current in the sea
So filled with green and mystery
To her a man did rarely come
Then, pulled up by curious shapes
Like lambs, in white puffs she flew
And traced her shadow cross the land
Till the puffs released her soul
In little flakes, gentle and slow
For a time entombed in frozen snow.

There men saw her as a sprite
Reflected in her cage of white
Men chased her form of watery light
In dreams that came hard in the night
Her body lucid, long and lean
A cold corpse, frozen to the earth
Blue hair, bent arm, frozen knee
The sun took pity, broke the back
Of the ice block and set her free
    So through high mountains, cliffs
    And rocks she trickled
In a gathering streams, in rivulets
    Of tears, mouths open
Her bosomed skin slipped as ice
Pain built up the rage within
And sorrow brought it to the light.
Green – the color of fast and deep
White – the foam that came in waves
Along the long and joyous vein
    She spreads her long body
Knee bent, her heavy breasts pinned
    Blasted, rippled by the wind
She’s touched only by old earth’s hand
Its gravity like a naked man
    Basking in her pools
Her faces and belly ghosting him, a mirror.

Watch her through the thickening trees
Her body sliding toward the sea
A torturous rape, a rapid ride
For all who’ve hung upon her side
Hearts pound, as she shrieks and sighs
With each down stroke a demon dies
Within the man who’s bourn the pain
    Endured her crushing fingers round
Who’s felt the pound of her breasts soft
Been beaten by her to the blood
And awaits for centuries her cold flood.

Drifting Mainly

You belong to me mate ( Intro )
And that be that!
Get on board
And grab your hat!

The ship was aghast at its new passenger	( Verse )
Like disdain for the lives that they now left behind,
Newcomers were scarce
And they never would last
But I held up my chin nice and high.

The bloke who took me screamed	( Pre-chorus )
“Mop up the deck we’ve got things to do!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a boy and don’t know what’s to do.

And he said ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Taking the seas for more than eight moons
We found islands and loot
That was bigger than most.
The taste of sea air
With its wind in my hair
Took me away to this new life I lead.

After mopping the deck
He grabbed my hand and screamed
 “Steer this ship boy!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a lad and don’t know where to go.

So the crew yelled	( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shore
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Surprising to me
Was my unshaven face
The captain looked on
And smiled with grace,
We stopped at a place
Where the women were loose and didn’t mind
If we took a peak.

He said “Now you’re a man so let’s get on that boat,
We got places to be and some people to rope,
So grab that sword and drop that mop
Cause you’re no longer a boy in my eyes.”

I practiced the duel with the men in the crew
The captain took eye to my devilish pride,
And he took me aside and said
“Even in death I’m gonna miss you boy
But don’t let it strike you
Or kill your spirits
Cause even time can beat out the Grim.”

Then in the darkness came fire and screams,
Our vessel had stopped after fourteen years,
The crew fought hard and beat most of the men
But now, my Captain was dead.

We took the new ship watching ours sink deep
Saying goodbye to our drowning escape,
The crew turned towards me and asked
“What do we do?” and I smiled,
And they did to.

And we yelled ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Takin what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Be Still My Love

Written March 25, 2013

Any minute now
The sun will rise again
A ship sets sail for the ocean
Another's coming in
I don't quite know
Where I should even begin

The day breathes a sigh
That makes me wonder why
The rain falls only in the den
Where we sit so patiently and wait
The same couch from our first date
Maybe this is just our fate

What house is this I'm in
The paint is wearing thin
The sound of stories told
Has got me growing old
Just you and me my darling
And all the red starlings

Any minute now
The night will come again
We'll set sail for the ocean
Watch others coming in
If I ventured in the slipstream
Would I find you in my dreams

So be still my love
Don't fear this life you're in
Things will change this time around
I'll let the light shine in
I'm just waiting
For this life to begin

Ocean Deep

Ocean Deep By Richard Cliff

Love can't you see I'm alone
Can't you give this fool a chance
A little love is all I ask
A little kindness in the night

Please don't leave me behind
No don't tell me love is blind
A little love is all I ask
And that is all

The night has been too long without you by my side
Here alone on my own, I miss your tender care
All I do is cry, while the birds go on and fly
Afraid you won't come home
This pain of mine has grown

to the depth of
Ocean deep
All I ask for, is a little love, is all I ask
A little sadness when I'm gone

Love can't you hear me calling in the night
Love can't you hear this heart of mine
Why am I still alone?
Why can't I get you on the phone?

I want to spread my wings
But I just can't fly
As a string of pearls
All my dreams, go sailing by

Oh ocean deep, I have hit a million ceilings
And I'm still fighting for my feelings

All alone in my room, baby
I think maybe?

Love can lead me home
A little love is all I ask
And that is all...

To Be

All along it hasn't been enough

being as myself.

I wanna be the ocean

so that I never feel empty.

Never again, incomplete.

While listening to the sound

of the deep that surrounds me.

A sign of relief

that adapts to the sea.

For all the fallen dreams

seeking clarity inside of me.

I wanna be the ocean.

EYE Don't See -Part 1-

My eyes
Pour forth feelings
That I’ve felt in the past
They make my heart ache…
Take it all away…
Oh my God…
They’re making me sink in dismay

When will they break away?
When will they give me a break?

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye don’t see
A happy ending in this scene

My eyes
Journeys into the unknown
Who knows what will happen…
They’re like hidden treasure…
They’re buried far below…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Oh my God…
They’re driving me insane
When will they see my reflection?
When will they heal the infection?

Eye don’t feel
Raindrops of hope and relief
All I feel…is grief…
Eye sense no peace…

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Does He hear
My supplications?
Does He sense
My fear?

My eyes
Conceals the tears that dare to spew out
I feel trapped and lost without a doubt…
They erase my delight…
They seek my hurt…
Oh my God…
They’re casting me away into the perilous sea

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace throw out my fear?

Eye don’t see
A ship in sight…to save me from my demise
My lifeless body...
Drifts away in the wild ocean...
Without a sound...
Without emotion...

Eye don’t see
A rope to hold on to…
My hope for peace
Has drowned…

My Blue Ocean Tides

In the stillness of the blue ocean tides
As the water sweeps on the sea rides
I feel you are with me; holding my hands,
Walking slowly along the cold wet sands,
Knowing that one day we shall meet.
In a silence of the early dawns greet
There is only few seagulls cry reside,
Out in the ocean, watch the boat slide,
Somewhere, west winds touch the sunset,
Before the twilight, you will come to rest,
With tears of gladness, in your blue eye
You watch the fish, whispering good bye
Where is my darling, please do not hide,
I have waited so long, to be by your side!

Submerged Love

A hidden protected love which will surface now and than. Submerged into the
deepest waters of the ocean floor. Why it is so still? Like an ocean plant frozen in
place. Could it be devoured? Only by yourself. No one else can harm this submerged
love and the effect it has on us.
It's like a gateway of roads and highways manifesting into a bold flight with colorful
patterns of gazing light that enters in our eyes and alows a sudden twinkle. This
love is submerged deep into the mounds of lakes and rivers combining forced
airways climbing through our hearts.
We can visualize almost anything but a silent love that only shows itself when
Love can be dwelling or it can be timid. However it shows itself is how the true love
feels. It can overpower you or just look you in the eye. Either way it is gentle. Like
an anchor which is held down this love is anchored but can release itself as a gentle
blossom flourishing like a million blossoms from one vine to another. Climbing to the
top and finding it's way home.

Port of Call

Port of Call

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

with the breath of the ocean a caressing balm,
soothing pained memories away,
to the swaying of a solitary palm.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

feeling the brushing away of all past turmoil,
on a quest for solace, ever so hard to find,
yet comforted by the crashing of the waves,
as the tide cleanses all pain,
and leaves despair far, far behind.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

drenched in a sea-breeze of mist,
that hushes the ache of bygone moons,
tasting the salty tang on my lips,
as the burnished sun,
over the distant horizon,

and dips.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

searching, ever searching,
for a slice of solitude,
as memory bids a final adieu,
reaching under the sea so vast,
and seeking comfort in the depths,
while embracing,
the tomorrows to come,
wishing that they be true.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

seeing my truths drown,
as they slip beneath the turquoise waters,

feeling my heart ablaze,
with a passion that rarely falters.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

yet knowing that I am home at long last,
wishing the waves would wash away,
the defences that once stood,
like an impregnable wall.

Barefoot on a talcum beach,

alone, not lonely,

I have found, at long last,

my final port of call.

Eight Foot Ocean

Written January 30, 2013

A lame duck calls and asks me for the key
To The Barn on Sycamore
A dog drenched down for everyone to see

Walk a line cut thin by your disease
Frayed then dyed and petrified
A moral conscience longing to believe

The flood gates poured before you learned to breathe
Fighting up and falling down
Swim around in circles till you're freed

When smooth libations yield vibrating needs
Sunlight wakes us from our sleep
To get all our affairs in order, so we can repeat

IF I was a monkey, lived in the zoo.
I swing from the vine, that what I would do.
But IM not a monkey, dont live in the zoo.
So I will drink my JACK DANIALS,give a toast to you.

If the ocean was whiskey, and I was a duck.
I swim to the bottom and never come up.
But the ocean not whiskey, and IM not a duck.
So I will play TEXES HOLDEM,and drink to my luck.

If a car dont roll over me,I will live till I die
If I die meet ST. PETER,at the gate.
If IM drinking my JACK DANIALS,he will have to wait.

JACK DANIALS,JACK DANIALS,cream of the crop.
IM going to drink my JACK DANIALS ,until the day that I drop
When I drop, fall flat on the floor.
IM going to pick my self up,and drink me some more.

The Lobster Poem redux

Beneath the depths under the deep
of this great, wide ocean
live the lobsters that crawl and creep
with an articulated motion.

They thrive on the ocean’s sea floor,
from the sloping shoreline
to beyond the Great Shelf and more
where the sea reeks of brine.

They live and hide in crevices
and burrows under rocks,
snug amidst the interstices,
safe like a shepherd’s flocks.

Their diet is omnivorous:
live prey such as fish, worms,
crustaceans, mollusks, and…us!
(Ughh!! that last one makes us squirm.)

Stories of their longevity
are passed on more often than not;
some live to be seventy
years old when finally caught.

Long-bodied, with muscular tails,
ten walking legs (three pairs
of which are claws), framed in hard shells,
they can look like bugbears

and weigh as much as forty pounds
or more! A lobster this huge
naturally dumbfounds and astounds
like some hoax or a subterfuge.

Believe it or not, back before
the mid-nineteenth century
lobster was a food for the poor--
a mark of want and penury.

Indeed, inmates disliked lobster
so much they ate it with distaste;
even a dignified mobster
could not eat it with a straight face!

It seems our ancestor’s distaste
for this invertebrate
was in error and was misplaced--
much to their discredit.

People today enjoy this beast
in several, delicious ways
alone or together in a feast
as part of festive holidays.

When boiled or steamed live, they change
color within minutes
of cooking from blue to deep-orange--
ah!...the meat’s now exquisite!!

Enjoy it as “Lobster Newberg,”
a seafood dish du jour
cooked up by Captain Ben Wenberg!
Or as “Lobster Thermidor,”

a French seafood dish of creamy
blend of cooked lobster meat,
egg yolks, (often) cognac, brandy,
and Gruyére—a culinary feat!

Then there’s lobster soup and rolls,
a thick cream soup of bisque,
or Capòn magro--salad bowls
for your gastric pleasure and risk!

Lobster du jour or lobster you want,
whatever your palate requires
any New England restaurant
can fulfill your dining desires!

Lobsters are indeed a great food;
we fish, sell, buy and eat to such
large amounts: but we’d be unshrewd
if we fish and eat them too much.

Cup Of Trembling

Written April 24, 2013

Beside me, the weeds are overgrown
Against my house, my home
Those streets I used to roam
As a child young and free
Oh how the time has flown
From here and there in history
There lies a time that comforts me

Words and letters overused
All the paths I have perused
On the journey for the key
Of happiness towards which this leads
Or so I used to think
Before the system found
What it aimed to find
Beneath the shutters and blinds, of my mind

Do you know the way
That man will follow knelt to pray
Of the lamb and jars of clay
The man who makes us wait and stay
For what feels eternity
The ocean sprays its misty breeze
On everyone who stops to see
The light and dark caressing me
O'er purple mountain majesty

Come and rest your head with me
Come tell us of your tragedy
And when you'll send my way a sign
And how you'll get the blind to see
Oh cup of trembling will you be
The judging wave come over me
Or will you wait and part the sea
When I'm prepared to see

Tell me all that you may know
From the melting of the snow
Bares nature's bosom in the glow
Of the moon, and the sun
Does it matter who has won
No matter where the river runs
The dark of night will always come

The open world in lonesomeness

The lonely tides of indigo sea,
Bitter and sweet; ocean breeze,
Flowing beyond the sleeping horizon.
Sunlight, a fading gloom,
Twilight, soon, appears in the sad sky.
A journey alone, a journey far,
The ocean whispers its memory
To the auburn clouds,above
As it drifts into the endless period of darkness.
