Beer Pong Balls

-Sing along to Jingle Bells-

Beer pong balls! Beer pong balls!
Landing in my cup.
The more you sink, the more I drink.
It's Christmas, let's get drunk!

Heeeeeyyyy!

Beer pong balls! Beer pong balls!
Landing in my cup.
The more you make, the more I take.
It's Christmas, lets get drunk!

Drinking Michelobe... Sipping on some Jack...
We just made two cups... Give us the balls back!
Ha. Ha. Ha.
Guys can finger cups... Girls know they can blow...
I'm hall of fame, In this game, cause I drink like a pro

OOOOhh!

Beer pong balls! Beer pong balls!
Landing in my cup.
The more you sink, the more I drink.
It's Christmas, let's get drunk!

Heeeeeyyyy!

Beer pong balls! Beer pong balls!
Landing in my cup.
The more you make, the more I take.
It's Christmas, lets get drunk!

A day or two ago... Drinking Miller Light...
I had won eight games, and then got in a fight...
Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
We ran out of beer... Had to get some more...
If I'm alive, then I can drive, let's all go to the store!

OOOOhh!

Beer pong balls! Beer pong balls!
Landing in my cup.
The more you sink, the more I drink.
It's Christmas, let's get drunk!

Heeeeeyyyy!

Beer pong balls! Beer pong balls!
Landing in my cup.
The more you make, the more I take.
It's Christmas, lets get drunk!

Santa's Helper

"Santa's Helper" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot".

I am Santa's helper;
Look at me,
Wrapping presents
Merrily.

Soon it will be Christmas...
Don't you know?
Gotta' get Santa's sleigh
Ready to go!

Author's Note: "Santa's Helper" makes a good activity song for children:

I am Santa's helper;
Look at me, (child points to himself)
Wrapping presents (child mimics wrapping gifts)
Merrily. (child smiles)

Soon it will be Christmas... (child points to calendar or clock)
Don't you know? (child holds hands out to sides and shrugs shoulders)
Gotta' get Santa's sleigh
Ready to go! (child mimics stuffing a sleigh with toys)

That Christmas Feeling

A snowy Christmas is what we all prayed for
Probably because it never happened before
We didn’t need it to have Christmas cheer
But it sure would be nice to see the white stuff this year

You can’t force it; that Christmas feeling just comes to you
Can’t tell you how, but even when it’s overdue..
Life’s trials sometimes get in the way
But if you’re open to it, that Christmas feeling will come to you and stay
…If you’re open, it will come to you and stay.

One Christmas a few years back, I was having a drink in an old country bar
Listening to a guy play Blue Christmas on guitar
An old bar tender poured me another beer, looked over and said
By the shape of your dungarees, it’s been one hell of a year.

Christmas had me thinking, Is this how it ought to be?
Usually it was a Spirit, most would say Holy, which helped me to see
Then I smiled, ‘cause a thought showed me, it might not have turned out okay
If in 3rd grade, Mrs. Harrington hadn’t sat me in your way

That Christmas feeling will come to you and stay …If you’re open, it will come to you and stay.

The bartender saw the new smile on my face
Said laughingly, That newlywed glow will soon leave without a trace
I didn’t have the heart to tell him, but this Christmas it’s been fifteen years
Since I fell in love with you forever, ‘cause it’s the heart that hears

As I drive up to our home, with it’s simple light show
A feeling came over me and it began to snow
I could hear the kids joyfully screaming inside
And I thanked God that he helped me hang on for the ride.

We all feel low at times; it’s just that way
But it you’re open to it, that Christmas feeling will come to you and stay
…If you’re open, it will come to you and stay.

Some have asked about how song turned out. Check for on itunes under my name Shawn Sackman. Thanks.

DISTURBED CREATURE- Am I

A poem wrote by me, based on Person who is a deserving icon but still struggling hard with his career life and addressed as disturbed creature.

DISTURBED CREATURE--> Am I ??       BY Mrs.Madhavi Suyog Pagare

Am I so insane, Am I so mad,
Dramatic mood of mine is so die hard.
Destroyed my peace, Shattering my dreams,
People call me as disturbed creature.
As like mounting the pain, attenuating the drain!!

Digesting my feelings lying inside me,
Strangely nobody cared, call me sick.
Teasing me lavishly and my heart is pricked,
Hurted me like hell when addressed me as stupid.
As like showering rain, missing on the lane!!

Time lapse in journey of life,
Can hamper anybody on its path.
When I see innate reflex of mine,
I always use to brightly shine.
Though possessing every job attributes of mine,
I never thought the authorities will ditch and hamper my career line.
Falsely acting bloody swine, making my image as fade as wine.
As like affecting harmonious divine, my soul was, as is transparently pristine!!

Destroying me and testing my patience, Never wanna give up.
Transformed deviations, wanna rightly screw up.
I wanna raise up, I wanna shake up.
I wanna wake up, Tranquilize my mind.
Unzip the professional life compressed by the culprits.
Wanna explore myself, driving the motivated heights of journey.
Lastly waiting for the optimistic opportunity.
Cuffing the suspect ,I wanna rejoice by my pattern of life!!

Christmas Eve

Sing to the melody... “La Cucaracha"

The little children/ the little children/ setting sugar cookies and warm milk....../
Hoping to see him/ hoping to see him/ in his red and white silk!

The little children/ the little children/ anticipate the leading red light........../
Hoping to see him/ hoping to see him/ sliding down the chimney tonight!

The little children/ the little children/ falling asleep on the couch....../
They didn't see him/ they didn't see him/ setting presents in a crouch!

Pork And Kraut---Good Luck Meal

If it were not for the pork and black eyed peas
My husband would not be eating this meal with me
I love my pork and sauerkraut for our New Year good
luck meal
Hubbie hates kraut and would take bad luck that is
just the way he feels
I will have the kraut and him the black eyed peas
Then he will share in the good luck meal with me

Tropical Getaway

Carpooling in the Monday traffic jam,
Wondering what we are and who I am.
Since we’ve already raised a family,
Is there anything left just for you and me?
Seems each day is just like the one before.
Exactly what have we both been working for?
So many years lost from nine to five...
Making ends meet, but barely feeling alive.

I wanna find us some tropical getaway--
Somewhere lost where the locals play;
With fishing boats and mango trees,
And spicy scents carried on the breeze.
I wanna find us some island Shangri-La—
A quiet spot with no hoopla...
Some place where it’s easy to hide,
That can’t be found in a tourist guide.

I wanna find us some tropical paradise
Where nights are warm and folks are nice,
And green birds sing exotic melodies
While monkeys play high in coconut trees
We could lounge in that tropical paradise,
As bonfires spark like fireflies;
Watch lovers dance while steel drums play
Calypso tunes from dusk till day.

I wanna hold you close on an empty beach,
With a full moon just out of reach.
We could sneak behind a big sand dune
And celebrate another honeymoon.
Let’s forget about all the noisy mobs,
Grown-up kids, and annoying jobs,
And swing in a hammock made for two—
And snuggle close, just me and you.

(Chorus)
Bamboo torches and starry skies
Will be mirrored in your big brown eyes.
We’ll dance away each endless night,
Lost in love, with no dawn in sight.

Walkin' With My Wiener In My Hand......

(to the tune of "Winter Wonderland")

See the frost, watch it glisten
Too much beer, I'm on a mission
To write my name in the snow
With a funny yellow glow
Walkin' with my wiener in my hand!

Got a trenchcoat that I'm wearing
So that I can do some "sharing"
Maybe my legs are too white
That gives 'em a fright
Walkin' with my wiener in my hand!

At the lounge we were chillin'
After time, my bladder's fillin'
I stagger left and then right
Hope I make it in time
Walkin' with my wiener in my hand!

Feels so good to drain my lizard
From behind I hear a whisper
"I hope you'll be done soon,
'cause you're in the ladies room!"
Walkin' with my wiener in my hand!

Christmas Is Magical

Christmas is a magical time
a time for love and joy
where even in wars there is piece
between the men and women deployed

Children laugh with parents
around a green tree
everyone is together
as it should always be

snow falls on the ground
leaving everything in a blanket of white
icicles hanging from roof tops
it's such a glorius sight

Christmas is a magical time
for every boy and girl
it's a time for great happiness
and joy throughout the world

Christmas Morning

Christmas is that time of year
When friends and family gather near
The children giggle with delight
Anticipating Santa’s flight

Wondering if their list has been read
As they snuggle down in their warm bed
Excited about what tomorrow will bring
Trying to listen for the bells to ring

Then before you know it we open our eyes
Run down the stairs to see the surprise
“Wake up mom and dad look what’s here”
We jump and laugh and give a cheer

Santa came, Santa came look what he left
A doll, a bike, a big treasure chest
Our stockings are full of goodies too
We must have been good the whole year through

I can’t believe the things we got
Santa must really love us a lot
So always help your mom and dad
And work on being good, not bad

Santa knows what we do
When we’re happy or feeling blue
Always make sure and try your best and
Santa will take care of the rest

So stoke the fire add some wood
And remember who’s watching
You better be good!

Merry Christmas!!!

A Simple Southern Christmas

It's gonna be a simple southern Christmas here.
All I want from Santa is some egg nog, bourbon and beer.
I'm gonna wait on Santa Christmas Eve night,
and when he's not lookin' I just might,
steal his reindeer.
It's gonna be a simple southern Christmas here.
I'm sending out my Christmas cheer.
I'm gonna sit on my front porch swing and sing.
It will be a good thing to hear those jingle bells ring.
I thought I seen Santa on the backwoods bayou road,
but instead it was a big fat toad.
It'a a wonderful simple southern Christmas here.
Santa just brought me some egg nog, bourbon, and beer.
When he wasn't lookin' I stole his reindeer.
So now I can deliver my Christmas cheer.
But hurry, hurry, I'm in a rush,
got to give that reindeer a little push.
Got to go, got to go,
got to get home to fix my gumbo.
It is Christmas day,
and I'm in a rush I must say.
It's gonna be a simple southern Christmas here.
Just add egg nog, bourbon and beer.
Mix it up with some Christmas cheer.
I'm ready for Christmas every year.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

    CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
I keep saying Merry Christmas,
Xmas just don't mean it.
Christmas without Santa Claus
is alright by me.
----chorus
Part of your Christmas lights
are Jesus, and you and me.
He's in every Merry Christmas
You'll ever hear from me.

I keep saying Merry Christmas,
Xmas has no feeling.
I keep thinking Santa Claus
Should come another night.
---------chorus
Part of your Christmas lights
are Jesus, and you and me.
He's in every Merry Christmas
You'll ever hear from me.

I'll keem wishing Merry Christmas.
I'll keep hoping Merry Christmas.
I'll keep saying Merry Christmas.

It is a song, but the lyric is still being worked on and I'll
have it done pretty quick and get it recorded for Christmas 2014. But I will
have my first Demo of it in just a day or two, on my own website, vbdosa dot com
and a video on YOUTUBE.
The best time to Plug a Christmas song is about late March or early April..

Christmas In July

It is no wonder why
Oh happy day in July
When I sing of peace and love and joy
I of’t recall the birth of Mary’s baby boy
Born that first Christmas day when angels did proclaim
“O Earth, to you, a savior born; Jesus is His name.”

Oh joyous day in July
When yards turn brown and get too dry
I read again the story Bibles tell
Not like the Christmas advertisers sell
I know a time angels to shepherds came
And sang, “…a savior born; Jesus is His name.”

Oh festive July day
When I take time to pray
I am glad the Christmas spirit still remains
As I lift my voice with sweet angelic refrains
Christmas came years ago from heaven above
God’s gift given; precious Jesus, wrapped with love.

On the 12th day of kiss-mass my true love sent to me
12 dirty undies
11 socks a stinking
10 shoes a humming
9 shirts for pressing
8 trousers
7 days of take-out boxes
6 flagons of beer
5 D V D's
4 mischievous children
3 dozen wine bottles
2 ex partners
and an engagement ring under the tree

Christmas Blues

Christmas was never about God for me,
it was memories of warm laughter, rosy cheeked joys
for if God was the point, whose God would it be?

Xmas was about giving to your protégées.
Long, long, lost wishes of long broken boy toys,
Christmas was never about God for me.

Winter’s height held the beauty of childhood set free
of hunting and wrapping and folks overjoyed
for if it was God, we had three, whose God would it be?

This December wonder now past, gone you see,
gone with the cold, I’d not wish despair on July, this killjoy
for Christmas was never about God for me.

Once a year Xmas marks a sad crying spree
with nobody wanting to be home and little joy employed
for if God were the point, my son would be with me?

Perhaps, with grandchildren there be a jubilee
and this hollowed out husk of me will be destroyed
And Christmas will be about God for me
for it could be so, whose god will it be?

I Can Not Stop Thinking of You

Thinking of you
I can’t stop thinking of you.
And your wind-blown hair
Shining in the night breeze.
Your pretty blue eyes
Reflecting heaven’s stars,
While looking my way,
Inviting tomorrow,
Still embracing today.

Strangers one night
Strolling amid a crowd
The tide rinsing bare feet.
Two silhouettes prancing
Silent excitement.
Eyes dancing connect.
Inviting tomorrow,
Still clinching today.

Thinking of you
I can’t stop thinking of you.
Fireworks bursting.
Heat flashing in the dark,
While soft-spoken dreams
Echo to forever.
Alive and magical
Our souls connected.

Thinking of you
I can’t stop thinking of you.
Today brings tomorrows.
Merriment waning.
Now, alone, my time passes.
Come, Fourth of July,
Please say you’ll meet again!
Please say you’ll hold me again.

Thinking of you
I can’t stop thinking of you.
Oh, Fourth of July,
I can’t stop thinking of you.
Please say you’ll meet me again...
Please say you’ll meet me again...
Please say you’ll meet me again.

Christmas in the Middle East

Said the soldier to his wife at home,
do you see what I see?

Way up in the sky, my dear,
do you see what I see?

A rocket, a rocket, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite...
With a tail as big as a kite...

Said the soldier to his only son,
do you hear what I hear?

Ringing through the sky, my boy,
do you hear what I hear?

A bomb, a bomb, high above the sands
With a voice as big as the sea...
With a voice as big as the sea...

Said the soldier to his president,
do you know what I know?

So safe at home, Mr. President,
do you know what I know?

Men, men are dying in the sand
Let us bring them home
Let us bring them home

Said the Poet to the people everywhere,
listen to what I say!

Pray for peace, people everywhere,
listen to what I say!

Our nation, our nation, rising to its feet
Its strength will bring us peace today
Its strength will bring us peace today.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------
Based on the "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Christmas song written in October 1962 with lyrics by Noël Regney and music by Gloria Shayne Baker.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------While Christmas approaches nearer to our hearts and homes, it is important to remember our brothers over-seas. Everyday, people are dying in wars that should have ended long before they begun, and now, in a time as great as any, we must remember that peace is not impossible, but rather grows in the hearts of all whom maintain it.

This Christmas, let us do our part.

A Memorable Friendship On My First Ship

I write from my heart, not just words, but feelings of what’s inside,
Our hearts are such wonderful places where we can find things to hide
Like the ones that I want to remember, they are like pieces of gold
The warm memories that unfold when I think of the reasons they are there
Reminders of special people who I'll always consider my true friends
Just like you are and always will be my friend for every day to come.
Memories of that first day we met on a beautiful and wonderful ship
Will be with me as reminders of days on this cruise each and every one.

Caley you and I met on the "Sun Princess" and then we bonded fast
The time I had with you dear friend was great from the first day to last
I'll never forget the kindness you showed that started a friendship with you
You helped to lift my spirits up when I was teary and feeling very blue
I’ll never forget the tears you shed when I sang that day on the ship
I was touched as I saw you sitting there with tears running down your face
This was the biggest compliment that you could have ever paid me for sure.
Day after day I wish that I could have back the life I had more and more.

Life is full of many surprises I have found with challenges all the time
The best surprise I just received was aboard the "Sun Princess" so fine
I met a lady who loves jewellery, as much as I do on board this ship
She befriended me while we dined in the most lavish place to eat
From the moment we met we became the best of friends so true
Starting as we looked at jewellery or Swarovski Crystal too expensive for me
Or was it while we were dining as we sailed together on the ocean blue
I only know dear Caley it would not be the same if I hadn’t met you.

Heart and Soul

~ Heart & Soul ~

It’s not just about that one person
You can’t imagine your life without
It’s so much more than that

It’s waking up each morning
Knowing you have a family who loves you
It’s a group of friends
Who care about you
Not just
Some made up version of you

It’s that feeling you get when you help someone out
Or when a dream comes true

It can be happy or sad
It can lift you up or break you down
It can break your heart
Or it can heal you
Yet one thing is true

If you have felt it even once
You’ll never want to let it go

It has so many forms
With so many different ways you can feel it
Even a day to celebrate it

It is a feeling that
Is hard to live without
Those who have never felt it
They are the ones I feel sorry for

LOVE
A four letter word
That says so much
Means so much
Has such an impact on so many lives

It’s so important
In so many ways
A couple just starting out
Two people spending the rest of their lives together
A family
Friends
A lifelong dream
And so much more
A feeling
Called Love
I prefer to
Call

The New Santa Claus

I'm locking up my house, because it's that time for thieves.
I need to Santa proof my place, because It's Christmas Eve.
If he does get in, I'm going to run and hide.
I left out some milk and cookies with rat pellets inside.
While he's eating the cookies and he's starting to sweat.
The reindeer will be caught in security nets.
"I'm sorry boys and girls, but Santa has to retire!"
I'm going to tie him to the tree and set poor Santa on fire.
Then I'm going to take the toys and keep them all to myself.
Even though I've been bad, no coals will be on my shelf.
Merry Christmas to me! This year is going to be grand!
I'll get whatever I want, if Christmas goes as I planned!
Wearing Santa Claus' suite I'll get in houses without keys.
In twenty seven minutes I'll rob twenty seven trees!
So all you little brats, don't you cry and sob.
With the recession and depression, I just needed a job.
A lot of things are going to change, but you all shouldn't be sad.
Now that I'm the new Santa, It doesn't matter who's bad.
I'll use the elves as my slaves and the toys will still come.
Instead of a Nintendo, you'll get a gallon of rum.
Toy guns are for babies, how about the real thing?
A candy neckless won't impress, I'll make sure that it's bling.
You said you wanted a pony? How about a deer that can fly?
No more lousy presents, no more socks, or bad ties.
I'll change...
Wait... Wait a minute... Was that all just a dream?
Why do I only have coal under the tree and in my stocking?
Santa please come back! I promse I'll be better next year!
I promise I'll be good and I'll spred more Christmas cheer!

Did Santa Claus come back? Did he come like I thought he should?
No Santa didn't, but next year I'll be good!
I'll only do what is right, aleast to his satisfaction.
So he comes back to my house, and my plan goes back into action!

I'm Happy You Left Me

I remember early morning,
you're standing in front of my door.
Waiting on me to start the word,
But silence hinder to break the noise.

You said goodbye to me,
How happy I am free!
You'd think life will be a mess,
I sing it with birds on trees.

I'm happy you left me,
I always wanted you to go.
Cos my life turned to pieces,
When someone like you broke my soul.

Why only now that sun is peak--
When life is nigh to leave your keys.
If you think you broke my bones,
Thank you for makin' me strong!

Little Shopper Girl (for Deborah's Contest)

Note: To the tune of "Little Drummer Boy"

Come, they sold me, to Macy’s this year
The perfect gifts await for holiday cheer

I’ll push and shove my way through the crowd
Cuss if I don’t succeed, for crying out loud

Stomp on feet of shoppers with my heels
Clear a path to line's front as everyone reels

Bent o’er in pain they grouse, “Who is this cruel witch?”
And I scream back to them in a very high pitch

To reach fine gifts I create travesty
Then single-handedly grab the last Nativity

Baby Jesus is smiling at me
What have I done to find Thee
Done to find Thee

Sadly, I glimpse back at those I’ve attacked
And hand the manger scene to one farther back

The truest gift we find is not on the shelves
We’ll never find this gift within our lost selves

If we forget to share the holiday joys
With shopping schemes and ill-conceived ploys

Make way for kinder shoppers courteously
To find the greatest gift called humanity

Just leave the shops behind and visit your church
And bow before His grace from the pew as you perch

Baby Jesus is smiling at me
For now I’ve found Thee
Now I’ve found Thee

The Kitty and the Bunny: An Easter Song

"The Kitty and the Bunny" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "Pop! Goes the
Weasel".

'Round and 'round the dogwood tree
Kitty chased the Easter Bunny,
'Til Bunny tossed an egg
That broke Kitty's leg;
And Kitty cried, "This game ain't fun-ny!".

Bonus activity: Give children some crayons and paper and have them turn this poem into a comic strip. Tell them you would use four boxes for your comic strip: one showing Kitty chasing the bunny, the next one showing the bunny tossing an egg, the next showing kitty holding his paw, and the last one showing tears streaming down Kitty's face. But, tell children they can use as few or as many boxes as they like for their comic strips and even change the storyline. The dogwood tree becomes an apple tree and bunny is seen pelting Kitty with apples. Perhaps squirrels join in the fight and start throwing acorns at Kitty.

More than weather, can be frightful or Unseasonal Christmas

Used to be the weather was frightful
People covered themselves from head to toe
Now, despite the fact it’s Christmas season
I see more sand, than I see snow
The temperatures keep on elevating
To the moon, they just seem to rise
Oh, where is the Christmas of yesterday
The rosy cheeks, windows fogged with ice

It’s just too warm now for Christmas
Too hot to shop, too hot to run around
Santa’s working at the pole in a speedo
That’s nothing, we wanna see come to town

Frosty, it seems we’re not gonna see him
Heat miser, now, has gotten his day
Can’t ole Jack Frost do something about this
And chase the warm weather away
No need to chop wood set for burning
The heated air replaces that in the hearth
I hope it gets cold and very soon, too
Because Christmas puts warmth in everyone’s heart

It’s just too warm now for Christmas
Too hot to shop, too hot to run around
Santa’s working at the pole in a speedo
That’s nothing, we wanna see come to town

Oh, when Christmas day finally gets here
Right now, I’ll tell ya, all I wanna see
Are people with scarves and gloves on their hands
And snow bringing life to all barren trees
I want the temps to chill me right to the bone
That’s when I’ll know it’s Christmas time
Who wants to look up and see a sleigh
With a fat man in a speedo, flying around

It’s just too warm now for Christmas
Too hot to shop, too hot to run around
Santa’s working at the pole in a speedo
That’s nothing, we wanna see come to town

Upon this Christmas Day

He sleeps there in a stable
The babe born to the world
Both mother, father watch with care

Though swaddled in a cloth
He is born, yet, to be king
With but just rags for Him to wear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

For within the early morning
Angels brought the sky a voice
Calling forth those who wish to hear

Along then, came all others
Knowing truth within their hearts
That all now have nothing to fear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

Go forth and tell all others
Who had no chance to hear
The news of hope and of the joy

Let them know the Gift of God
That comes to save us all
His son sent as this little boy

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

There ain't no going back

There Ain't No Going Back.

I took a trip across the sea
In the year of ninety eight
To seek my ancient bones of yesteryear
So I boarded me the big jet plane
For a twenty hour flight
With expectations never really clear.

My past and me came face to face
So I drank a lot of beer
And I coughed and spluttered in that London cold
Then a thought jumped out to bother me
And it came on very clear
That you cannot go back to things of old.

There ain’t no going back
It’s the truth now it’s a fact
That what once was is truly cold and dead
The road may last forever
Yet backwards one moves never
Those days long gone their streets one cannot tread

So I learned me a lesson
All my ghosts been laid to rest
And England lost a son for evermore
And the bird will no more wander
He will rest beside the nest
For home be where I am and that’s for sure.

A Florida Christmas Jingle

Written to the tune of "Jingle Bells"

Here in Florida,
We don't get any snow,
We don't have sleighs to ride,
But we do have mistletoe!

For a little Christmas jaunt,
We'll drive 'round after dark,
To view the Christmas-lighted homes,
And displays at the park.

Ho! Ho! Ho!
He! He! He!
Christmas time is here.
Let's deck the halls and shop the malls,
To spread some Christmas cheer!
Ho! Ho! Ho!
He! He! He!
Christmas time is here.
Let's deck the halls and shop the malls,
To spread some Christmas cheer!

Driving through the rain,
In a souped up Cheverolet,
Traffic's moving slow,
But hey, that's A-okay.

Christmas carols blare,
From the Chevy's radio,
We're having fun singing along,
Making words up as we go!

Ho! Ho! Ho!
He! He! He!
Christmas time is here.
Let's deck the halls and shop the malls,
To spread some Christmas cheer!
Ho! Ho! Ho!
He! He! He!
Christmas time is here.
Let's deck the halls and shop the malls,
To spread some Christmas cheer!

12/4/2011 for Debbie Guzzi's Deja vu Christmas contest.

Trying to think of a Christmas song or story that I could modernize, Jingle Bells popped in my head. I live in Florida and it doesn't (usually) snow here, so tried to come up with a snowless version of the song.

A Christmas Dream

Over the blasts of mortar shells,
He heard the sound of jingle bells;
And when he closed his tired eyes,
He got a Christmas Day surprise.

Snow was fall’n and his boy was call’n:
“Daddy, can we go down now?
I think it’s clear, Santa’s been here
And Daddy got home some how.
We are a family, Daddy, Mom and me
On this Christmas Day;
I’m with you, my wish came true,
The one to Baby Jesus I did pray.”

From across the world, so far away,
In a foreign land on Christmas Day;
Sleeping with his fatigues still on,
His boy’s voice was a Christmas song.

Snow was fall’n and his boy was call’n:
“Daddy, can we go down now?
I think it’s clear, Santa’s been here
And Daddy got home some how.
We are a family, Daddy, Mom and me
On this Christmas Day;
I’m with you, my wish came true,
The one to Baby Jesus I did pray.”

Please remember our service heroes,
Scattered throughout the world,
As we celebrate with our families,
The good will they hope to build.

He woke up to a flash of light,
And screams resounding in the night;
He charged forward to help his peers;
With his son’s voice ringing in his ears.

Snow was fall’n and his boy was call’n:
“Daddy, can we go down now?
I think it’s clear, Santa’s been here
And Daddy got home some how.
We are a family, Daddy, Mom and me
On this Christmas Day;
I’m with you, my wish came true,
The one to Baby Jesus I did pray.”

In a land of Christmas dreams

There’s a special place not to far - you know
A special place where we all can go
A place where dreams run as free as our mind
A place where we stop the happiest of times
To live our fullest at being who we are
To share and listen in each others beliefs of who we are.
To be happy being who we are

In a land of Christmas dreams
Is a special place for you and me
Somewhere to go and always see
How truly life can really be

Listen to our loved ones how we want to be heard
Understanding completely with out stating a word

Where giving is a pleasure with a hug and a kiss
Open minds and hearts and feelings as this

In a land of Christmas dreams

In a land of Christmas dreams
Is a special place for you and me
Somewhere to go and always see
How truly life can really be

For this beauty of freedom and dreams
Every night stares at you in your sleep
This giving and caring is special indeed
This giving and caring is shared between you and me

Expressing our gracious love for our friends and family
Always supporting our love and devotion
Being there for each other through times thick and thin
Always to return strong in message of the truth within

In this land of Christmas dreams
All of it’s beauty of freedom sings
Every night sings to you in your sleep
This giving and caring is special indeed
For this giving and caring of Christmas dreams
Is all behind the spirit of you and of me.

Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year.
I just love when you ride in the country and see all the pretty colors of leaves on the trees.
See the kids having lots of fun jumping up and down as the autumn colors fall to the ground.

The air is so crisp and clean and you feel alive.
The wind blowing through the trees is so nice to hear.
Children everywhere running and jumping with such a cheer.

Fall brings out the child in us all.
Not too far behind is the holiday season
  we all look forward to.
Bright lights, decorations, toys and all,
But nothing could come close then watching
  the fist snowflake fall.

Christmas is Coming

Christmas is coming. Christmas is coming. Christmas is coming. What are you doing this year? Jingle bells are rattling, Santa's come tapping, On your roof is, Dasher and Dancer, And Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, And Donner and Blitzen. Here comes Rudolph! Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming, Your parents are loving, How your rooms clean. Its not like you're meeting the queen. Jingle bells are rattling, Santa's come tapping, On your roof is, Dasher and Dancer, And Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, And Donner and Blitzen. Here comes Rudolph! Christmas is coming! It is amazing seeing the christmas lights, Passing as you're driving by. Seeing the snowmen, In northern Texas! Jingle bells are rattling, Santa's come tapping, On your roof is... Jingle bells are rattling, Santa's come tapping, On your roof is, Dasher and Dancer, And Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, And Donner and Blitzen. Here comes Rudolph! Christmas is coming! The only question left, Is what are you giving, And what you're gonna get?

Christmas Through July

Christmas Through July

Christmas is such a grand time of the year!
People are happy joy shows everywhere.
Gifts of love arrive from both far and near.
Scents of the season permeate the night air.

Remembering the Savior's love so grand.
Families hang lights, such a beautiful sight.
Decorations displayed across the land.
Many surprises are shared Christmas night.

January came but the tree remained.
Celebrating my child's birthday the same.
Just like Jesus, her happiness sustained.
Each year's tradition when her birthday came.

Year round loving was about to be taught.
Decorations of hearts and shiny red balls
Replaced the angels that Christmas had brought.
February feelings Christ's love did recall.

In March, the tree was adorned with shamrocks.
Paper-mâché nuggets sparkled in gold.
Children and laughter sang around the clock.
Smiles, like at Christmas, were great to behold.

April was spring pretty flowers were hung.
It took a lot of work, but was it still fun.
We at play felt pure joy, free and young.
One fun filled plan to teach love, begun.

May decorations, the best, I recall.
Mother's day cards, painted hands, paper plates.
A trip to the attic was fun for all.
While cherishing the loves childhood creates.

Christmas in June on a new marriage day
Downstairs jam-packed squeezed in each wedding guest.
Rained out at the park, they saw our display.
Christmas year round knew love at its best.

July 30th past, the flags were still hung.
Patriotism shown, honored with rare style.
Christmas in July with a new day sung.
We took down the tree cherishing each smile.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This lyric poem written in quatrain format is a true story that expresses my feelings about
showing love year round…not just in December.

Cirque de Halloween

"In this town, everyone's waiting for the next sunrise."

Gather round children of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with me and you will see.
Let us set the stage, for this is Halloween.

Whispers hum in the wind. (I am the clown with the tear-away face)
HALLOWEEN! HALLOWEEN! the crowd chants.
Master scares and creeps.

This, our circus on Halloween.
Don't be late now, for after the show, everyone's waiting for the next sunrise.
This is Halloween.

"Life's no fun without a good scare" we sing.
"I am the wind blowing through your hair; I am the hoo? when you call "who's
there?!"

I am the one hiding under the bed, teeth grown sharp and eyes gone red." my friend
sings as the rest of the group sings the pumpkin song.

"La, la, la la la, la. Life's no fun without a good scare! La, la, la la la, la. THIS IS
HALLOWEEN! THIS IS HALLOWEEN! HALLOWEEN HALLOWEEN.

As the song ends, it is replaced by the eerie tinkling of a music box; slow and scary.

But, hey. That's what we're here for; the scares.

TAG

Tag! Your it! Like in the school days.
I got your mind lost, like you were in a corn maze.
This isn't Halloween, just another day of the week.
I'm always getting candy. I say forget trick or treat.
You can forget Flasnick. People just call me Flash.
My rap game's so scary, I say hell with the mask.
Forget Jason, They call me Lil T.
Wake up it's not Freddy, it's me you see in your dreams.
I'm rated X. Noway I'm PG13.
Sisco and Ebert said not to see the damn thing.
So if you do, you better call me the king.
I'll give you six days to live. I'm more hard core then the Ring!

Freak Show

Hello? Hello? Is anyone here? I am here for the “Freak Show”. Fine don't come out. If you can't see yourself in a mirror, Come here Come here. If you don't fit in, Come here Come here. If you're full of terror, Come here Come here. If your made of tin, Come here Come here. Cause it's time, it's time, for the Freak Show, To unleash their wild pack, To come out of a shack, To show your wild side, To show you won't bite. Cause it's time for the Freak Show, To come out from the dark, To do your freaky march, To come unrap, To lay down flat. It's time for the Freak Show. Down here we don't judge, We don't care if your fudge, If you have flames, Or even fangs, If your made of fur, or if you purr, Come down for the Freak Show. 30 seconds on the clock, Those hands go tik tok, It's almost time for halloween night, Get ready for a real fright! Just scare those kids, Into little bits, I'm sure they won't mind, It isn't a crime, Invite them inside, For a little surprise, You are supernatural, Or even bichemical. WELCOME HOME.

The Ultimate Birthday

As the snow falls we sit by the fire
Thinking what a beautiful sight to see
Shimmering lights all around
Children's eyes all aglow
Bows, ribbons and wrapping too
All these things for me and you
From God above to show his love
On this the day
The anniversary of his son's birth
So as we open our gifts
And spend time with family and friends
Let us give thanks to God our Father
For giving his only son for you and me

Christmas - It's Just Another Day For Me

Christmas...

It's just another day
Another day for me

I won't get any presents
I won't sit beside a lighted tree

It's just another day
Another day to try and survive

Another day to try and find food to eat
Another day to try and stay alive

It always seems to be just another day
Another day to try and do my best

Another day to hug my children
Another day to pray to God to help me rest

Christmas is just another day...
Just as previous years have come before

Another day to sit and wonder
Where I'll be, when I don't have a house anymore

It's just another day to think about
Where and when things went all wrong

To wonder if all of our elected politicians
Care to see what is really going on

I am just an average American
who has always been just fine

But without a job to go too
I've fallen below the poverty line

I don't want to be here
I don't want to lose everything I own

I want to be able to afford the Internet
I want to be able to have a phone

I want to be able to have a car to drive
I want to able to go to work

I want my children to be safe and warm
I want to have some money in my purse

I am sick and tired of all of my days
Being unproductive and the same

I am sick of sleeping hungry and cold
I am sick of not knowing where I am going to stay

I am sick of my life being on hold
I don't want to have to live this way

So Christmas is just another day...
Another day for me to see

All the things that I am missing
Another year my children won't have a tree

But another day to love my children
The bright spots in my life

Another day to go to church and pray
for those who are living just like me
Those who are still living
Daily with my strife.

This Christmas

Wow another year has come and gone
What a year it has been
So many things we wouldn’t change,
yet so many we would
As the new year approaches we all will set goals for ourselves
and our family’s too
As we do this let us remember the true meaning of Christmas
Let us not forget that if it wert for Our Lord Jesus Christ we wouldn’t be blest with the many
things we have today
So with this let us celebrate the ultimate birth, the birth of Gods sun
Let us all decorate with bright vibrant coolers, sing his praises and give of ourselves in his
honor
Let us all stop, be still and think of those not with there family’s this year
Let us open or hearts to those less fortunate than us
Let us all say a prayer for our neighbors, family, and friends for there safety in the coming
year
As we go forth in the following year let us all carry Gods love and pass it around to each and
every one we meet

A Day Of Thanks Two

As we sit around the table this year,

Let us not forget those not with us

Our family and friends, our service men too

Let us remember those lost and their loved

ones as well

Let us give thanks to God, our heavenly

Father, for the things granted to all of us in

 this truly trying time

Let us be gracious and kind to one another

each and everyday as we go on our way

As I hear peace ring

Although the day is snowy and cold
Although the day is windy and bold
Although the streets are icy I’m told

I hear not a thing
As I only hear peace ring
Peace whispers saying barley a thing
As I silently smile to it’s warm tones as it sings

The day seems as night for it is so dark outside
Uninviting so cruel and not willing to hide
Never ending darkness it seems is all this day brings
Clear visions approach bringing the light
As I hear peace ring

Forgiveness to this day
As I hear the bells say
Ringing for peace and a brighter day.

"This Poem"

THIS POEM "LOVES.. WINE..."
Brings out THE BEAST,
in my womanly, female, cravings
The PASSION that I Feel
When I Read This Poem,
MAKES me, want to take off
all
that is on the outside of me.
And feel what can only
be share between two
hungry calculating souls in love.

My lips grow swollen with ever word
as if i am utterly skin close to you.
And you are caressing, every carve
of my inner and outer thoughts.
no words have ever moved me
to thoughts of so deep, with moist intentions
to which have no endless meaning in its passions
before!
if only I, could sip
for your cup
just maybe
I, too could know and feel,
of this sweet "loves.. wine...
you speak of...( http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/loves-wine/ )

FRANK'SGIVING!

Hey, Pilgrims,
Let's dress-up
Dress-down the plumes
of the dancing Peacock
(If we'd allow)
but for the Ritual;

For Francsly speaking
in tongues of plata y oro,
Pound-for-bloody-pound
How much 'cide this buys?
A simply-uneasy angst to the quest,
Oh, how Corpulent "m.d.'s" -
Which dystrophy Indigene Water - Land - Identity muscle
Manifest your Destiny! - Trophied.

Lots of time for sargeants,
for unhappy Cherokee rides on trails to tears
Led from 50,000 years to Discovery? Indeed!
With no reservation
'cept to enslave the Spirit,
And with tobacco & cotton gotten
from the corn colors of the Earth!

Are the Iroquois/Mohawk/Navajo/Cherokee/Hopi
Thankfully jeeping...?

Don You grisly-now...
Our meleagris gallopavo decapatito,
Strut and march like mute Mummera in the Charade!

I don't wanna sip that juice
I heard it has a sour taste
So I text text text
My buddies Sam, Drew and Flex
I wanna kick their asses on PS3
Soccer and some boxing
NFS and some wrestling
We pass the joint clockwise
Steal my lighter
That's not nice
When the munchies set in
I told my chef to let it fry
And like Maino we let it fly

Holiday life is so much at ease
so many nationalalities, the sun and the breeze
gives off a laid back vibe
like a community of an african or inca tribe

Its mine n skinbobs first holiday together
she,s loving the people, atmosphere and weather
such a laid back set up and theme
meeting other people that we wouldnt dream

That we would do if we were in our own town
but where we are its a differant crown
because its such laid back and easy going place
just love peace and happiness,n get on no ones case.

Evergreen fields

Where Christmas lives
Where dreams roam free
Where presents sit below each tree

For evergreen fields for you and me
Evergreen fields come true to dream
No more poor, and no more sad
Evergreen fields make us happy and glad

We run through the forest of o so tall trees
Smelling the scent of evergreen trees
Believe in the spirit for one and today
Believe in the evergreen fields where we lay

Snow angels on the ground
Love and happiness all around
Peace, harmony build our town
Knowing good spirits are truthful and bound

Evergreen fields for you and me
Evergreen fields for Christmas dreams
May everyday be your Christmas dream
May every Christmas dream
Be in for-evergreen

Ortygia

How long I’m standing here on Ortygia?
Remain motionless
under the hot sun.
Looking like a marble kouros
with broken hands.
I search the wind
for the cool breeze of Aegean,
the sweet smell of Delos
which gave its name to this place.

I have to caress the Doric columns
in temples of Apollo,
Athena and Artemis.
I have to easy their eternal nostalgia.

But the source of Arethusa
brings black water from Alpheus today.
Olympia is being burned
and my heart comes out of me
falls on the asphalt
and breaking in pieces.

Gods!
What the barbarians doing again
in our homeland,
while we’re standing here?
You as bare models for tourists
and me like a marble kouros
with broken hands.

It's Thanksgiving

"It's Thanksgiving" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "Oh, My Darling Clementine".

It's Thanksgiving, it's Thanksgiving,
It's Thanksgiving-time to eat;
Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes,
Pumpkin pie...yum, what a treat!

Bonus activity: Ask children if they were preparing Thanksgiving dinner, which foods they would prepare. Would they prepare traditional dishes, such as turkey, mashed potatoes and pie? Or nontraditional dishes like tofu turkey and carob chocolate pie? Or, would they simply order a pizza? Why did the child choose that particular menu fare-love of tradition, special dietary needs, ease of preparation?

A Day Of Thanks

On this special day we give thanks for all we have been
granted in life.
Often forgetting those less fortunate than us.
So as we gather with our loved ones to enjoy each others
company let us take a moment and remember those that are
alone and have less than us.
Say a prayer that although they may not have someone to
share this day with or may have little to eat that God
continues to watch over them as he always has.
Pray that they know this without a doubt and that their
faith never falter just because they feel alone and
scared.
Let them be reassured that they never walk alone.

Christmas Time

*Christmas Time*

There is a bright light
A bright light
Around the block
Its jingle bell time
It’s a well time
Santa’s coming to night Oh, oh, oh
So cheerful night
Let sleep till the night goes by
Oh, it’s a swell time
Mistletoe hanging so sweetly
I can kiss you till the night is sleepy
Oh, it’s a swell time
My children’s time
Watching as they scream in cheer
(Course)
Oh, let me be with you
Oh, and let you be with me.
It’s a swell time; it’s a fun time,
To watch the night go by
Singing jingle-bell time
It’s a swell time
Eating all night till sun comes up
Children sleeping to know there fun to come
Cleaning up, cooking it’s all the same
To busy to think, so cheerful in so deep
Oh, oh, oh
(Course)
Oh, let me be with you
Oh, and let you be with me.
It’s a swell time; it’s a fun time,
To watch the night go by
Oh, oh, oh

Carel

I’ve been saying
Saying I’ve been on my own
And I’ve been saying
Saying I’m all alone
Don’t wanna be away
Away from your holidays

Yesterday it snowed
Somehow we lifted a lighter load
And I wandered
I wonder where you went
The beauty in fallen leaves
The bronze and auburn tint
Shaded by a breeze

I’ve been saying
Saying I’ve been on my own
And I’ve been saying
Saying I’m all alone
Don’t wanna be away
Away from your holidays

I’ve cursed my aptitude
Stranded
And to no one I allude
What more is there to prove
A warm touch is something I could use
I used to say, “I don’t know how to lose”
But lately I’m walking in everyone else’s shoes

I’ve been saying
Saying I’ve been on my own
And I’ve been saying
Saying I’m all alone
Don’t wanna be away
Away from your holidays

My holiday song this year
I’ve brought myself away from tears
The cold, it chills my bones
But my stones are rolling home

"a song i wrote to john mayers "waiting""

I'M LOUDLY SINGING FOR JESUS...MY REDEEMER!

Everyone is with someone else they can't stay apart,
and this sadness shouldn't be mine today or ever...
because His birth makes light much brighter
in this lonely soul searching for comfort,
and that's why I'm loudly singing for Jesus: my Redeemer!

What I feel comes from a heart that desperately
desires its tears to erase what has been its yesterday,
and loudly singing for Jesus:  my Redeemer does me good;
praising His coming and proclaiming Him my Lord!

Nobody more than I...has the urge to be consoled,
when arms don't open to welcome me inside;
and His mighty arms, although trembling and small,
open up in loving gesture to greet my call!

Come Jesus, friend of gentle hearts and kind souls,
spend Your day telling me what is in store for me;
how Heaven echoes of the angelic, eternal voices...
unlikely the earth that waits for a Savior to end its misery!

Without instrument, music sheets, or choir on a snowy day:
I'm loudly singing for Jesus...my Redeemer in the simplest way,
and my gladness is expressed in every verse of my song;
oh, how I'd like to thrill baby Jesus with the words I sing!

I'm loudly singing for Jesus...my Redeemer,
as I shiver under the cold sky of December!

The American Flag

The American Flag, is red, white and blue
To you, I salute, this is what I do.

The American Flag, you stand so free
To you, I salute, with love from me.

The American Flag, nicknamed Old Glory
To you, I salute, a flag with a story.

The American Flag, you changed over the years
To you, I salute, with a song and music to our ears.

The American Flag, we display you with pride
To you, I salute, your true colors we do not hide.

The American Flag, what can I say
To you, I salute, each and everyday.

The American Flag, raised by a rope
To you, I salute, you give us hope.

No Room!

There wasn't room at the inn,
For Mary and Joseph to stay.
So our Lord Jesus was born,
And in the animal manger He lay.

The world made no room,
For our Savior to be.
Even though He was coming,
To save you and me.

In this fast paced world,
Going from here and there;
We've crowded up our lives,
Like we no longer care!

Is there no room for Jesus,
In the fast paced life you're living?
Shouldn't we make room for Him,
Because it's our sin He's forgiving?

Now slow down and examine,
Your whole life situation.
Make more room for Jesus,
Because He is your salvation!

Look back at that night,
So silent and still.
Will you make more room,
So your heart He can fill?

October Breathes

October loves me
September baby
Virgo across its face
Out of it’s play pen
This child
decides to spin

In a vacant scenery
Thinking back
On what yesterday
meant to me
He’s going on
It won’t be long
As he’s carried home

Don’t you love me sober
Days I’m drifting
Along In October

She just sits there
Someone hold her
Kiss her sober
Missing all the fun
Just growing older

Flowers ale
Roses
Paint you pale
Broken, shapeless
Only strangers notice
The rain
That follows hail

Jesus Seekers
Leaves bristle
Against
a fallen preacher
your father’s gone
Running home
No ones worried
That your gone

Don’t you love me sober
It’s almost over
For days I’m drifting now
Alone in October

Ho Ho Ho

Go to sleep
Go to sleep
My little ones

Or Santa
Just won't come

For he knows when you are awake
For He knows when you are asleep

Close your weary eyes now
And I'll go take a little peek

Tap Tap Tap
Upon the roof

It's santa coming
For I hear reindeer's hoofs

Hush Hush now
Don't say a word

Better hurry
And fall fast to sleep
Or he just may leave you a big turd

Let sugar plums
Dance in those pertty little heads

As I made sure
Santa was nice and fead

Cookies and milk
With nothing else

Oh thank you my dear Lord
For this nice little cord

For they are fast to sleep
Now I can go back to bed
And count my own lost sheep

Do You Hear What I Hear, Little Lamb?

Said the night wind to the little lamb, "Do you see what I see?
Through the olive branches, there it glows ~
A star, unlike all others, we have known ~"
                                    ~
Said the night wind to the little lamb, "Do you hear what I hear?
The angels play their trumpets to rejoice ~
All nature sings in glory with one voice ~"
                                    ~
Said the night wind to the little lamb, "Do you know what I know?
Tonight we have a newborn King to reign ~
Praise to Him, sweet Jesus is his name ~"
                                    ~
Said the night wind to the little lamb, "Tonight has been a blessing to behold ~

Another Year

Another year has almost gone
It's remaining month
Will quickly pass.

As people rush
From day to day
Some forgetting the true meaning
Of this time of year
Some never knowning
What Christmas really is.

Open your hearts as well as your eyes
For this may be the "Last Christmas"
You'll ever see.

Our world stands shattered
This land of the free
So many things
Now are out of proportion
And I am afraid they will forever be.

So light up the trees
And try to share the moments
With your loved ones
Remember they too
May see the same as you do.

Although unspoken
For what can be said
To put things back like they were
To make America what it used to be

So You're Getting Older

Ah! Another birthday is
About to be upon you again
It is so close
But don't feel too frighten
My friend.

We all have them
Or either we don't
We are here or
Of course already gone.

But these birthdays
Lordy why must it be
We wake up one morning
And they have affected
The way we see.

We kid ourselves thinking
Our eyes will focus back
We deny it is time for permanent glasses
Although we know it has to be.

We wake up one morning
And our joints feel kinda weird
They feel like something
Walked on them during our sleep
Like something attacked our body
But Lord what could it have been?

Then one day you get up and
Your skin doesn't feel as tight
Feels like maybe it loosen
Up during the night.

Next thing you know
You're paying more attention
To your bodily functions
Hoping they will remain in tact
Talking to them more often
Thinking that will keep them
On the right track.

Let's don't forget our memory
Somedays it plays little games
It likes "Hide and Seek"
And at any time
Off it may go in a run!
Leaving you thnking
This time it is gone for good.

Oh but be not afraid
For there are alot of others
Among you
About the same age.

Some may seem more livelier
Or some may seem more dead
But they are all headed down
That path called
The "Elderly".

So here's to you
On the 18th day of November
Happy Birthday and may you have
Many more to come.
Don't worry about getting old
For I have been told it was
Alot of fun!!!!

Who knows maybe one day
A national holiday
This day may become.
You may set a record
By growing old in numbers
But remaining always young!

Have a Merry Christmas

Have a merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
May this very Christmas
Be filled with holiday cheer
Let everyday be Christmas
For the rest of the year
And have a merry Christmas
Filled with holiday cheer (Chorus)

To all of those we know, to all of those we love
To those we have seen grow and like to kiss and hug
To our new family members and old familiar friends
Attached to the presents, written in the cards we send

Season's greetings and warm wishes with so much care
And good tidings of great joy I bring in this little prayer

(Chorus)

To all those you'll see and to those who'll pass by you
To all those you'll meet and to those you'll say "Hi" to
Acquaintances and strangers, the homeless and shut in
Remember them like family and treat them like your friends

Give them season's greetings, warm wishes with so much care
And gold tidings of great joy bring to them in this little prayer

But do not let it end, live a life of love and cheer
In and out of season share it in the New Year

(Chorus)

Today is a Gift

Happy Easter Baby
Today is a “Gift”

My heart, it jumped a beat today when I answered the phone
As I listened to that familiar voice, I couldn’t help but feel at home
As we talked it occurs to me, it’s like so many of our days
The clock stops, the sun goes down, and time just flys away
I’m honored to be with you, on this “Special” day
You’re my Happy Easter “Baby”, and it will always be that way
I love you with all my heart, your love is so true
When you take me in your arms, and again it feels so new
I figured out when love is real, you never have to choose
To settle for less than what you have become, for now you know the rules
Always be true to who you are and listen to your heart
Then you and your soul will never be apart

This poem is dedicated to man that changed my life
I am forever grateful for his love and friendship
And for every moment of sad and happiness spent on our behalf
And for showing me what true happiness is all about

With Eternal Love & Respect,

            Rosemarie

Love's Christmas

Bring in the tree, shake off its boughs,
Discuss with friends the whys and hows
Of existence as you trim away,
Sharing together the dreams of the day.

As you carry the children off to bed,
Spare a thought for the Child
In the cattle shed -
For one good man, who wept and bled
For the sake of a better world.

So by all that's fine and sacred then,
Have a care for the hearts of fellow men,
For families, friends and all the others
Since beneath the skin, we all are brothers.
Deep in our souls we know this to be true,
Be we Christian, Moslem, Buddhist, Jew.

We can be our own saviours,
If only we wish
To mature our behaviors,
Hoping only for this:
To subdue the beasts that lie between us,
To make it this once, Love's Christmas,
For the sake of a better world.

Hark, Hey Harold, the Calif. Angels Sing!!

Hark, hey Harold,
the Angels sing....
glory to the homerun king...
piece of turf,
with bases wide,
runners steal,
when pitched inside,

Come ye bunters,
drop one down,
see if we can win
the division crown

Piece of bleachers,
crowd gone wild,
all because of
the runner's glide

Hark, ol' Harold,
get some franks,
and give to heaven
your heartfelt thanks!!

Waiting for the Wind

Sitting in the morning just waking up on my side of the world today
I turn on the news see if anyone has anything good to say
Stock markets falling and another landslide while the politicians try to deny
Global warming and more killer storms and another thousand people die
and the advertiser says I’d be happy if I bought bigger car you know
I’ve got my sails out...and I’m waiting for the winds to blow
I got my sails out...and I’m waiting for the winds to blow.

Sometimes I think the world’s gone mad and I can’t stand to hear the pain
One place burning in holy fire and another in a deluge of rain
Sometimes I think that hatred and war is the only way we know how to be
And I want to sail away,..in a world made for you and me
Sometimes I wonder at the pace of it all, where’s everybody trying to go
I got my sails out...and I’m waiting for the winds to blow.
I got my sails out...and I’m waiting for the winds to blow.

Why can’t we see the beauty of it all in the sun rising every day
Life holding on to the sides of mountains and the waters rushing into the bay
Why can’t we live as if nothing on earth mattered more that the love that we bring
I want to sail away,.. and become part of everything
Why can’t we care just a little bit more, maybe let a little kindness show
I got my sails out...and I’m waiting for the winds to blow.
I got my sails out...and I’m waiting for the winds to blow.

Suffering from the Truth

I just want to say
I forgot my friend
And if it were
Any other day
It just would not end

And I’ll see you
In another life
And I’ll see you
In another day

Some loved ones remain eternal
Others we hold below a murmur
Sometimes the means of what it takes
Tires us, a bit sluggish
Life waving goodbye
With a palm full of luggage
From here, as individuals
To where do we roam
When lost is gone
And nowhere is home

Suddenly
I just want to save
The whereabouts
We once knew
Yet here I am today

And I’ll see you
In another life
Yes I’ll see you
In another day

And I just want to say
I forgot my friend
And if it were
And other day
It just would not end

My Musical

A reflection
Is that enquiry
That touches
Our past
My wintered rose
As centered
My prose
Life
My splinter
As the mist rose
The path taken
The path of that
No often chose
And in the ending
I say goodbye
To those
Whom greet me
“Hello”
The cure
A smoothly
Moved cello

Snow flakes
On days
It doesn’t mist
The spectacles
That un-flower
Within
My fist
The seasons
Of my life
With told
From an
Hour hand
Symptoms
Of a glass
That fragilely
Stands
Tragedy
The treasure
Abroad
Our collapsing
Days

Let There Be Peace On Christmas

PEACE on earth this Christmas, eternal peace on earth,
an end to all the hatred, an end to every war,
that we may hug each other, members of the human family -
let there be peace on Christmas, let there be peace on earth.

JOY on earth this Christmas, joy on earth forever,
an end to every tear, an end to all our fears,
that we may meet the morning sun rising in the clear eastern sky -
let there be joy on Christmas, let there be joy to all.

LOVE on earth this season, love on earth all the time,
hands that reach out to hold you, hearts that beat with love,
eyes that glow with compassion, faces showing tenderness -
let there be love on Christmas, let love prevail on us.

Merry, blissful Christmas and Happy New Year too!
may all your dreams come true, this is my wish for you:
may you find the things you seek and keep the friends you make -
let there be peace on Christmas, may it begin with you.

The Christmas Story

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem,
in the days of Herod the king.
Behold there came three wise men,
from the east with great gifts to bring.

The star the wise men followed,
from the east so brightly had shown.
To a stable these wise men it guided,
finally resting above God's very own.

On this night, crisp and cold, in a manger,
the Christ child lay asleep in the hay.
With this wondrous event this gift of life,
God, provided for man's sin today.

Blood Lust

I'm tired, uninspired, nothing's fun anymore,
sick of working so much and still being poor.
Christmas is coming and all I feel is dread.
No sugarplum fairies dancing in this head.

Into my haven pure evil has snuck:
someone came and killed my sweet pet ducks.
I hope you choke on their bones, you SOB,
my heart is filled with hatred, your evil's infested me.

My pacifist husband has even bought a gun!
He really wants to kill you, so you see how evil's won?
And now, and now, when I look at the lake,
all I can feel is... a wrenching heartbreak.

The fish that we feed have become so tame,
they are fooled by your lures; it's hardly fair game.
And WE are at fault for gaining their trust,
God, we hate you "fishermen" with your sickening blood lust.

Anger and revenge have usurped our peace,
                          and
      I am
             just waiting for
                                   this crappy life to cease.

I Need

I need a vacation of rest,
away from all this mess.
A cruise would do just fine,
and a huge glass of wine.
Dancing under the stars all night,
gotta call , and make my flight.
Music, magic, and me,
out on the wild blue sea.

Time For Tom's Christmas Carols pt.#1

"I Came Upon A Midnight Beer..."

I came upon a midnight beer
in my sleepwalkin' thirsty search...
In my glorious P.J.'s old...
My backside flap was ripped open...
But I did not feel the cold....

I popped the lid, and gulped it down,
And thought I heard angels sing....
"Let's go find another, my friend....
Cause this is the real deal thing!"

Christmas !

Sparkling lights, warm stories
Sounds and smells that linger
Throughout a season, so short
But praised with such meaning

Details | Lyric | |

This Christmas Season

May your hearts be filled with joy,
your homes filled with cheer.
May God's great gift light your path,
throughout the coming year.

There's no place He'll bade you go,
that He himself has never been.
He faced temptations such as we,
yet He was found without sin.

So Christmas morn around the tree,
I will kneel in silent prayer.
Thanking God for this great gift,
a gift that is beyond compare.

Just his birth alone would not suffice,
to save mankind from our sin.
But took the agony of a cruel cross,
that we might be born again.

When Joseph took him to his own tomb,
where most thought he'd stay.
Three days hence the stone was rolled,
giving all mankind hope today.

So ponder all these things my friend,
while rejoicing on this day.
For from this tiny Christ child's life,
God provided for us a way.
