While You Sleep

While you sleep I tell you all of the things I keep inside throughout day.
Now that you can hear but not listen I find them much easier to say.
My hopes, my dreams, my fears, and everything in between
Your subconscious hears so keen, or so it seems.
My tongue is soft; I speak so sweetly
Knowing your reaction will never greet me.

Tonight will be different in what I want you to know.
It has everything to do with what I can’t help but show.
I hold no claim to any religion but you’ve given me a place for my faith.
Somewhere it will never stale or lose its lavish taste.
You’ve shown me something I can see, touch, and feel,
And so before it I choose to kneel.

I know I don’t say it but I miss you every day.
Sitting, thinking of the perfect words to be my choice,
Yet when you call I can’t find any of the right words to say.
I’m just happy to finally hear your voice.
Even just a moment is enough to sooth my heavy heart;
Fearing the ends of conversations knowing we’ll have to part.

I’ll never be too far from you, always within arm’s reach,
And in your days of darkness I’ll be the light that you will seek.
I’ll never let you leave too far from me, I’ll stay close behind you in this world;
Secretly protecting what is mine, you will always be my girl.
I only want the best for you so the best of me I will employ.
Faithfully yours, I will always be your boy.

I close my eyes and kiss your soft sweet lips
And see the very best of you in loving bliss.
I see past the physical which makes you attractive
And focus on the things I can’t see in which I’m attracted.
Your thoughts I’d love to hear them all.
Of the things you speak disinterest never makes its call.

My day will come, I know someday I’ll be the only one.
And you I will pursue viciously,
Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give, to love unconditionally.
Yes our day will come, I know someday we’ll be as one.
And you I will pursue viciously,
Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give… to love unconditionally.

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

OutKast----

"Conceive true deception multiplied a million fold
visualize the yin and yang in a battle so intense
 that we get em confused
the resident evil specialize in misconstruing

We wanna be at a presidential level -- what are we doing?
foolin' ourself, clownin ourself, playin ourself
 by not bein ourself

We can`t babble no more than we can bob our head offbeat
Nimrod by the time we forty cause we can`t get our meat
while we ask no reason for the misplacement of the season
look at the picture that`s painted
tainted as the mind who`s blinded to the point
where Sodomites get all the rights
we fall for fights with fisticuffs
get pissed enough to miss the bus

It disgusts me to see my folks run up on
I say stand up on deception of time all of Revelations
and recognize this mind on the reality of horror
 known as mankind

Jesus and his twelve disciples make thirteen
A righteous number of righteous men
even Judas the Betrayer came true in the end
the Devil says the end is the beginning
they teach that we were the product of incest

Invest no level of self into their system of Paganomics
stand with us and don`t look back upon it
 just face this mind state

Otherwise Babylon..."

The Silver Outline

" And God took a handful of southerly wind, blew his breath upon it and created the horse." ~ Bedoin Legend In the magical moonlight The silver outline you see; Is a greyish white Mustang, A wild horse I am. Rambling free in the vast grasslands... The long coarse skeins, my dark grey manes; Dwells the blustering wind. Early dawn When air is wrapped in fleecy clouds, I swim in the silent waters deep. Mermaid locks leave behind a trail. A canter, that's a hush, a heart that mellows; Yet so strong , yet so rugged. Thunder in the mountains, Rolling fierce rain. No fear I know, As I go galloping, pacing long wild grasses.. Waves in a stormy sea. Artists for eons strove, To hold in their brushes Lightning beauty. Spirit unlassoed, in my knowing eyes Hid behind my long eyelashes white. Mystery unfathomable, In my heart lies; Wings which unfurl as I fly, Taming the wind, blowing a gale. Wild horse of the prairies, I am. ~ 4th place win in the contest For PD's : "My Best Pet or Animal Poem" Honorable Mention For kristen bruni's contest : "If I Was Animal What Would I Be?" From the Shepherd to His Flock: a Parody of Lord Byron's ''She walks in beauty''

THEY graze in beauty on the land
of grassy glades and dewy dales,
and all that's best of dark and tanned
     meets in their aspect and their tails;
thus mellowed to that tender hand
which Shepherd to gentle glen compels.

One fleece the more, one hair the less,
had half repaired the shearless grace
which wreathes in every woolen tress
or darkly tightens o'er their face,
where mouths serenely sweet express
how pure, how dear their grazing-place.

And on that rump and o'er that round
so strong, so firm, yet elegant,
the baas that win, the hooves that bound,
but tell of days in meadows spent—
a flock at peace with all around,
a drove whose milk is innocent.

FLY FREE AND HIGH: BUTTERFLY

The
  BUTTERFLY
    Flutters
       By

A flying rainbow in light blue sky
Coloring more a garden as it flies
          To each blooms,
               it dances and pries
            Fly free,
                    Fly high Butterfly!

My heart releases a deep sigh
                 As the butterfly
                      flutters
                         by
Children catch it with so many tries
But so sweet, pretty butterfly lands on my thigh
                      Fly free! Fly high, butterfly!

                       Once a shy caterpillar
                       hugging one leaf stem
Shielding its body from the snowy tent
Spring May comes and wind hums a warm lullaby
Little by little its cocoon shreds away
               Revealing a transformed beauty,
                       No one can deny!
The butterfly flutters by and by
                      Soaring into the sun!
                 Fly free! Fly high, butterfly!

                                 The
                            BUTTERFLY
                          flutters
                        by
                    Keeping world's treasures
               and reasons why
          Awesome loveliness you freely display
        But it's pity
Your life short to enjoy and play
             SPREAD YOUR WINGS
                  on FULLEST THRIVE
                        FLY FREE!
                          FLY HIGH,
                                BUTTERFLY!
                             Before, you kiss
                          the world Goodbye.

Note: From my readings, butterflies lifespan depends on these: habitat, climate, gender and their specie type.Average lifespan is a month. One day for the garden butterflies. Monarch butterflies and Heliconians for 9 months. Spring butterflies 9-11months. Male lives shorter than females.

Butterfly

I once was like a catipiller young, naive, and new
Always living from my heart not knowing what
else to do.Easy to take advantage of, that is
just the case, people would walk over me
like I was their dirty used up suitcase.
Now I feel a newness coming, like a light
shining from the sky, colors fill my world
and I know I am blooming into a butterfly.
Purple,Pink, Blue and Green I can feel them
flowing through. Colors of the rainbow raising
me into full bloom. Wise and strong I am becoming
My faith leads me where I need to go giving me
insight and wiseness for only me to know.
I have not done this on my own you see
I have been guided by God and Angels
on this Earth. Wise words the wisdom at
it's best comes from a wise lady who
seems to know me best. Lucky, I am
to have her in my life, she always shoots
it straight and tells me like it is, knowing
her words touch my heart and gives me tons of faith..
I feel like flying through the sky or climbing
a tree way up high. I feel like observing the
world just like a brand new butterfly so as I
Bloom I become Anew something unlike the past
Smart and wise beautiful on the inside and outside
a touch of color here a touch of color there
makes me glow and become a beautiful blooming butterfly...

THE WHALE SONG

    THE WHALE SONG
The masters of the ocean
Depending on you
What can they do?
They are grieving.
The masters of the ocean
Are crying for you
What can they do?
They are leaving.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

All they want is ocean
and the space to run.
Freedom's just a morning spray
flashing in the sun.
All they ask is ocean
and the Hope to be
thankful God has given them
---------the sea.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.
It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

Fishmongers ball

Fishmongers Ball.

Two cats went out to jump and shout
At the old fishmongers ball
But wouldn’t you know
They had no doe
So they gave old Ned a call.

Old Ned the dog he looked at them
With a great big happy smile
He said to them
‘I'll take you then
Gonna spend the night in style"

Old Ned was kind
So they all dined
On fish and meat so fine
The whole night long was filled with song
They had a grand old time.

Everyone danced with minds enhanced
They danced the whole night through
And in the end
The cats and friends
They said "hey what a do!".

Then when the night
Had turned to light
Old Ned he said to them
I’m off to bet
To rest my head
I’ll see you guys again.

Albert The Alligator, Florida University Mascot Story

A green sweaty swampy land
Maybe no place for a man
But it is a home to many creatures
Such as our friend's the alligators

Now not so long ago,
In their steamy mysterious habitat
There was a fog so dim it almost made it black
and it had large limb's that hung low on the trees
And each slim blade of grass went an inch above your knees

All gators that lived here
seemed to be very ornary and mean
And it was considered ordinary
To attack their peers With bone crushing teeth

One could ask,
Why are they so mad?
But it's not their fault
It's just the way they were taught how to act
Ever since their speckled eggs hatched
And learned how to make their jaws snap

However, not all gators were like this
There was one who was filled with happiness
He wore a blue hat and a bright orange shirt
Everyone reluctantly called him Albert

Because Albert happened to be completely different
All the other gators kept him at an arm's distance
They called him names and spat in his face
But his joy just never seemed to fade

See Albert had a huge dream
His dream was to be with the humans
As they yelled and screamed
For the local school's winning football team

Out of nothing but sheer excitement,
Albert shared this with the others
But they all laughed even his brothers

So Albert decided right then
to not care about what anyone said
And to pursue his only dream
No matter how long or tough it may be

The next day Albert left that dreary swamp
On mission to prove the nay-sayers wrong
And when he left that dim fog grew so dark
You could not see or hear a big dog's bark

So he made his way to the nearby school
Where he saw not no one, not a single soul
Every building was empty
From the top to bottom floor
The all of a sudden, Albert heard a thundering roar
"Romp!, Stomp!, Chomp!, Welcome to the Swamp!"

He rushed to the football stadium
Where he was met with open arms
He finally felt accepted, safe from abuse and harm
So with his new friends, he rose up in exultation
His life was anew, he was the love of Swamp Nation

THE GOLD WHICH DIDN'T GLITTER

THE GOLD WHICH DIDN'T GLITTER
I remember when I was nine(9) years old
As young as I was, I was told
That, not all that glitters is gold
I always walked chest out and bold
But I saw a gold which didn't glitter
I stood for a while and begun to wonder
Asking lot of questions, demanding an answer
Passing by, I saw a stranger
She decided to give me a helping brain
I was afraid to give the gold to her
I gave it out holding my fists in pain
I was obsessed with fear
Then she laughed in a ridiculous way
She continued to say
'This is not a gold but a stone'
Out of anger,I said 'My eyes are my own'
She left while laughing
I stood there wondering
In no time,I saw a dude
He was walking nude
I clothed him and gave him food
I hid the gold from him
But he saw it in his dream
He took it from the pit
He asked why I doubted it
He then showed it to the sun
Its brightness, I couldn't stand
It penetrated my eyes
On ground, I saw remains of Ice
At a moment I was wowed
How was the Ice thawed?
He said 'This is the real gold of nature'
Until you know it, it will never glitter
On the blade of its tongue, It tastes bitter
On the flesh, It is the sweetest
When the knowledge about is a smarter,
You devalue it for the rest
The cover doesn't matter
Its whole is the brightest and best.

The Soaring Eagle

Eagles soaring high in the sky
suddeny drop to the water below
it's talons encase a fish
in the setting sun it's scales aglow

the fish did not jump
to the bird in the sky
it stayed in the water
while the bird soarded by

If the bird hadn't dived to grab the fish
then the fish would still be in the water
for the fish will not go seek out the bird
it will not willingly go out for slaughter

the lesson between the bird and the fish
is simple but I'll give you a clue
go out and make your way in the world
don't wait for the world to come to you.

A Web-King

How was he trapped in his own web,
Which was woven with silken skills,
Tested and proven since ages,
With a core from his own cells?
How could it be an accident;
During his usual course of hunt
For a flying prey, in whom venom
Instilled and liquefied with enzymes!
Had it been another manifestation
Of perseverance to a modern King,
As done to Robert Bruce the King
To regain the Scottish throne?
Speculations keep on mounting,
But, as his hollow SELF does still cling
To the web-hub, no prey dare swing
As they feel him still the Web-King!

Companion

COMPANION

Countless hours, time no concern
Side by side, how much we’ve learned
Through ups and downs and thick or thin
We march together, new tales to spin

No longer a canter, your gait without pep
Rumors mills churning
Have you lost a step?
Senses diminished, speckles of white
Onward we push, onward we fight

Betrayal of age, the cycle of life
Sauntering quietly, causing much strife
Our hearts melded solid, our thoughts are as one
Losing the battle but war has been won

Not always together, at times on our own
Filling days with dreams we have grown
Dreams of nirvana, dreams of gold
Dreams spent together
Never get old

Someday I know our paths must part
Furry fellow dear to my heart
One knows a place where dreams come true
Side by side, just me and you

SO Far Away

I Stumble Upon My
Words – I’m
speechless
We were so far away
from each
other…I-I-I’m one
with
r-regret…f-feeling
incomplete…
I thought our love
was as worthless as
the debris…
You smoked me out
like a cigarette…and
y-you left me on the
filthy, messed-up
street…
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains, placed in
captivity…

I’ll find a way to
get you back for
another few years
But, I’d be
lying…don’t bottle
up the tears…
Talk with me, for we
are by each other’s
side…the words
escape my chapped
lips
We were so far
apart; now, we’re
both trying to get
our grips…
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains, not even
close to vitality

We were so far away
from each
other…I-I-I’m one
with
r-regret…f-feeling
incomplete…
I thought our love
was as worthless as
the debris…
You smoked me out
like a cigarette…and
y-you left me on the
filthy, messed-up
street…
Do you realize how
much pain you’ve
caused me?
We all wanted love,
but for the wrong
reasons…
Our relationship
changed like seasons
to seasons
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains that puts our
crazed hearts on a
leash...living in
misery...

We exchange
passionate, graceful
looks...I don’t know
what I’m fighting
for
Lonely & insecure
like the wolf, jaded
by his pack
heartlessly
Blindly walking the
road of recovery…I
need something to
live for…and more…
We all want you back
– we were all in
agreement, seeking
freedom eagerly
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains, beildered to
the extreme...here
shall e flee?

We were so far away
from each
other…I-I-I’m one
with
r-regret…f-feeling
incomplete…
I thought our love
was as worthless as
the debris…
You smoked me out
like a cigarette…and
y-you left me on the
filthy, messed-up
street…
Do you realize how
much pain you’ve
caused me?
We all wanted love,
but for the wrong
reasons…
Our relationship
changed like seasons
to seasons
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains - I'm rotting
like a starved tree

I’ll find a way to
get you back for
another few
years…I’d do
anything to have you
cuddle with me in
the blankets of
benevolent adoration
But, I’d be lying to
myself…don’t bottle
up the tears…don’t
cower away, getting
picked on by
countless fears and
nightmares…I’ll try
not to collapse into
the ditch of
frustration
Blindly walking the
road of recovery…I
need something to
live for…and more…
We all want you back
– we were all in
agreement…we yearned
for liberty…but
change is a
challenging chore!
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains...or e'll be
spellbound for
eternity

We were so far away
from each
other…I-I-I’m one
with
r-regret…f-feeling
incomplete…
I thought our love
was as worthless as
the debris…
You smoked me out
like a cigarette…and
y-you left me on the
filthy, messed-up
street…
Do you realize how
much pain you’ve
caused me?
We all wanted love,
but for the wrong
reasons…
Our relationship
changed like seasons
to seasons
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains - don't
mention our
fatality...our
unfortunate reality
that bos don to
tragedy like slaves
to their
master...hat a
pity...pity...

Whisper in my ears,
for I trust every
word that you utter
as long as you
remain faithful to
me and be loyal and
honest, friend…the
words escape my
chapped lips
We were so far apart
long ago; now, we’re
both trying to get
our grips…
We exchange
heartfelt, friendly
bear hugs...now, I
know what I’m
stronger than I
realize
I was once lonely &
insecure like a
weeping wolf, jaded
by his pack suddenly
I thought your kind
of “freedom” would
set us free…
From the rusty
chains...I feel
guilty for loving
you ith plastic love
rapped around my
heart...ith ruby
delight and golden
revenge ith a
sprinkle of sugar
and spice...no, I'm
figuring out ho to
get out of my on
maze, so graze in
your on maze, my
fallen angel of
Lamentation & the
aftershocks of
it...it's not that
pretty...believe
me...me...

Our pride and
confidence will
passed away at some
degree
Do you realize how
much pain you’ve
caused me?
We all wanted love,
but for the wrong
reasons…
I’m trying to get
over you…I must
forgive you
willingly
B-but, our
relationship changed
like seasons to
seasons
I Can’t Fathom The
Thought of you in
distress
You promised
perpetual “freedom”
that ould bring us
the Promise Land
I'm laying don in
ashes of
disheartening
regret...this
feeling of remorse
is not that
grand...don't you
understand my side
of the story? Do you
kno here I stand? I
NEED GOD'S HELPING
HAND...

Rebirth

The sounds of the outside world
Grow loud and strong inside her womb
The placenta shakes
The baby makes its first move
Dancing to the sound waves
Of the grunge scene
The odd shaped child
Alien at first
Human when its born
Taking shape of the parent
Who will give it life
Feeding on your cancer
Sucking the light out of your soul
A finger twitches
The legs start to move
A living thing inside her womb
Feeling the thick wall of skin around it
The wide black eyes take color
The face takes shape
The fingers small and aimed at you in a fist
The legs and arms grow long
Flipping itself around
Finally making its appearance to the world
Coming out head first
The room smells of angel hair
And babies breathe
The starting of a new life
Rebirth

Life Clucks and Then You Fry

Life Clucks and Then You Fry

 I Wake ‘em up screaming
“My cock is blue”
I spent the moonlight
chasing you

and now you tend
another’s egg,
I pleaded, cried,
I even begged.

The others are
but passing flings
I do not long
to touch their wings.

I’d rather sit
beside your nest
while you hatch
the little pests.

What you fail
to realize
Is - it’s my job
to fertilize

pursue the ones
that are “free range”
chase the lure
of something “strange”.

I am a Cock
so I must try
because “ life clucks
and then you fry.”

Concrete Children

Born in concrete
and raised in factory smoke,
we are the children
of an artificial reality.
Each a gear in this maddening
machine of synthetic actualities
and plastic truths,
we are condemned to live
under a florescent sun.
Every once in a while,
a screw falls loose,
crawls back into its
animal skin,
and howls at the sweet,
genuine moon.

Massacre in the Cove

Blood in the sea, the ocean is red,
dolphins and whales, harpooned and now dead!

Where do I begin to describe how it feels?
These countries, this destruction they try to conceal!
Are we so hardened that we can no longer see?
Their natural environment is where they should be.
Not captured for amusement on a world stage,
where you pay for the right, to see these animals enslaved.
If you realized that they endured so much pain,
would you support these shows all the same?

Blood in the sea, the ocean is red,
dolphins and whales, harpooned and now dead!

It's the ignorance of the masses that pay large sums of money,
to watch these intelligent creatures lose their sanity.
The big corporations are not stupid, nor brave,
they count their profits, as you watch these creatures, swim in their grave.
They’re just filling the pockets of those who do not care,
they lie to make you think, it’s all about animal welfare.
Big money they pay, these countries to capture and destroy,
these creatures and their families, so they can exploit.

Blood in the sea, the ocean is red,
dolphins and whales, harpooned and now dead!

Research has shown that a dolphins’ brain
is highly evolved, twice the size of any human.
So next time you go to one of these shows,
where you pay lots of money and you think they don’t know!
Take time to think about these beautiful creatures,
how they were captured for you to have your small pleasures.
If you think they are happy swimming in a small pool,
then all I can say - you are a fool!

Blood in the sea, the ocean is red,
dolphins and whales, harpooned and now dead!

How can you feel comfortable taking your children to see,
the destruction of life, that should be free in the sea?
So will you still take your children now that you know?
Will you continue to exploit these creatures just to see another show?
If you agree that these creatures should be free,
then please will you join this protest with me?
Teach your children with your actions, so they can see,
respect for all creatures should come naturally.

Blood in the sea, the ocean is red,
dolphins and whales, harpooned and now dead!

Stand together as one, united and save,
these beautiful creatures from their sorrowful grave.
Humanity should be ashamed of the things that they do,
this could be likened to the hunger games, one day it could be me or you.

Their families are dead!
The sea it is red!

EMULATION

WHICH ANIMAL DO YOU EMULATE?

Be fast like a cheetah
Don't wait for any hater

Be vigilant like a snake
Always alert and awake

Strong like lion
Defeat every obstacle on your way to Mt.Zion

Wild like a tiger
Scare any bad omen which tries to linger

Wise like an ant
Know when you need and want

Humble like a sheep
Your shepherd will give you a place to sleep

Calm like a cat
Don't confuse mouse with a rat

Don't be lazy like the snail
Lest you are likely to fail

Don't be slow like a tortoise
lest you become susceptible to your enemies

Be neat like a duck
That will call for good luck

Don't be dirty like a pig
lest apart from meat, you become useless yet,big

Be time conscious like the hen
She knows how and when

Don't be stubborn like a goat
lest you always bring troubles to your throat

Colourful Food

She lives in passion past her eyes
Underneath the dying skies
It’s alright when you’re alive
Living when you can decide

She still believes in everyone
Even when they don’t belong
It’s okay to dance along
Even when there are no songs

I want to hold her to her words
So naïve and undisturbed
I want to tell her what I’ve heard
But now I see this is absurd

Wander on into her fear
The only way I can be near
Find a way to be sincere
To trick her heart, to bring her here

She’s the only one I need to find
This animal has lost his mind
She is colourful inside
But this animal will eat her alive
