Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Scars of Love- A True Valentine Story

War leaves scars. They are emotional. They are physical. They are spiritual.

My brother had proposed to my sister-in-law on Valentine's Day, and so it was on that fateful day, 12 years later that his and her lives would change forever.

My brother had invited his wife to the posh Phonecia Hotel in Beirut for a cosy romantic lunch date while their three kids were in school. They decided to sit at a table facing the window so they could see the beautiful view outside. They could see the azure sky touching the Mediterranean in the distance.

At first, they sat opposite each other, but feeling amorous, my brother asked Pam to sit next to him. She was facing the glass window.

During the meal, as they chatted, little did they know that a very important government official was passing on a street close by and that this event would mark them forever.

"On 14 February 2005, Rafic Hariri, the former Prime Minister of Lebanon, was killed, along with 21 others, when explosives equivalent of around 1,000 kilograms of TNT (2,200 pounds) were detonated as his motorcade drove near the St. George Hotel in Beirut."

This was only a short distance from where my brother and his wife were having their Valentine meal. The glass window imploded when the car bombs detonated, and my brother and his wife were thrown off their chairs. They were soaked in blood and for a while, found it hard to see or know what had happened. They were in a daze. The extensive bleeding was caused by the shards of glass they had been peppered with as the floor to ceiling glass imploded. They looked at each other and the ghastly sight was more than they could take.

In the mayhem that ensued, they were able to make their way outside the building with other injured people. Eventually, an ambulance rushed then to the nearby American University Hospital. It was nearby because my brother taught in the Business Department of the American University of Beirut, so they had decided to have a quick lunch in the nearby vicinity.

Extensive work was done on both their faces. My sister-in-aw had a tooth knocked out from the force of the impact as she was thrown to the ground. Her injuries were more obvious as she had been sitting facing the glass. Up to this day, my brother sometimes has pieces of glass make their way to the surface of the skin on his face, and he has to pull them out. That's how deeply they became embedded.

When later asked if they wanted cosmetic surgery done to cover up the zig zag scars on their faces, my spunky Canadian sister-in-law replied, "Why should we? This is part of our history, of what we have been through, and it gives us a great story to tell."

I wish I were as brave as she is. The three children had a hard time seeing their parents in this state. Pam had to stay in intensive care for a while and when the kids finally did get to see her, Dylan, the middle child, burst out crying and said, "Mama, I don't like what's happened to your face."

This is life in Lebanon. We have lived through the war. We have survived. We have scars that tell the stories. I have written a full article on this, and will post a few excerpts later.

We live in a spiritual battlefield. Christ came to rescue us, the wounded and the dying. He CHOSE to walk into the war zone. Jesus carries the scars in his hands and in his side of that rescue mission. He carries these marks for eternity, a sign of His great love and passion for us and for our salvation. He came to rescue the hostages of war....and "by His stripes, we are healed."

Isaiah 53: 5-

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed

Write of Love

I never thought I'd miss the clickety-clack,
like a tap dancing minstrel, hour on hour
the carriage would incessantly slide,
only to pause for a cigarette and more
         thoughtful inspiration,
as smoke ribboned you would write again
in its foggy veil and I would nod off
leaving you - a misty aberration.
I cherish that now, and the earring
in my breast pocket, golden, like your memory
and my promise to return it to you
will be kept, no matter.
Your novels used to be of love,
of plane tickets to romantic beaches,
instead, you write now of beaches
where young men die and lovers cry.
My strength lies in your embrace
and thoughts that still hold you.
Be safe, and write of love once more.

Inspired by those separated by WWII, their sacrifice and the brothers and sisters that are now joining those that they lost so young, so many years ago.

THE MIST OF WAR

I got your sweet perfumed letter
So good to hear you're missing me
Trace your words with my finger
Your note is such Heaven to me

Bombs bursting in the background
There's ash on all the leaves of trees
So many cry out in desperation
The mist of war is such Hell to me

Your lip print on my war letter
Girl, you know it's still a perfect fit
When I read you're home waiting
I find the courage to never quit

I see you've been busy with ribbons
One on Oak for everyday I've been gone
And my heart melts a thousand times
When I read your romantic song

Now it says right here, "to get home"
I guess you're giving orders now
Oh, we could use you in this Army
When my buddies saw ya they'd say "WOW!"

Your letter ends with smudged lines
Misty tears must have rained down
But I know every thought your thinking
Even from this miserable battleground

Girl, I'm going to follow your orders
I'll fight and return safely home
Until then how about another war letter
When they are in my pockets..
I'm never alone

Your perfumed letters are in my pockets
Here with me, I'm never alone
In the mist of war.. I'm never alone!

*The poem is the husband-warrior's thoughts as he reads and experiences the
letter in the mist of war. "Oak" is what they call their big oak
tree in the front yard.

A Hush Of Stars

He stood there in silence watching the light dim
As she became his shadow on a mounding hill
And suddenly the stars
Hushed beneath the tarp
Despite the bombs that Blew o’er land and sea

He heard the screech sound of a medical trolley
As the pain came stark, her bow approached
He took to the scent of a starched apron hem
And suddenly the stars
Hushed beneath the tarp
Despite the bombs that flew o’er land and sea

He felt her cold fingers soothe his wounded arm
As memories of home rained farther still with war
He knelt before this beauty, like a deity to shrine
And suddenly the stars
Hushed beneath the tarp
Despite the bombs that drove o’er land and sea

He took his honorary medal and wore his uniform
Steel propellers cut the sky, he groaned with a sigh
He caught a tumbled tear from eyes of ice and fire
And suddenly the stars
Hushed in, why?
Despite the war that grew o’er land and sea
A man gets to live, after leaving the infantry

His memory survives despite the bombs that fly
A Soldier aims for home with a Star he can’t deny
Another day for her, at the 22nd Infantry Regiment
Another wounded soul and she runs for the liniment

The stars hush in the sky, and the angels rush in
For when it comes to war, nobody is there to win

Bring It On

Eckhart Tolle says, "Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness."

...

To this, I say, bring it on
Throw everything at me, the night of your own right,
And as sure as there is light,
I will live, push, cry, and fight
If the words roll away into the winds of woe
When your eyes no longer burn in my vicious glow,
I will pull through without, within
Taking all the impact in

Lost will be my promised purpose,
In the deepest prisons cold,
Jeers of delinquent devils shout,
"Out with mercy!
Out with fight!
Out with all the hope of light!
Into the fray, vicious and gay,
Stab their souls in false array,
Cut their tongues of honeyed hope,
Crack their joyous jaws and mope,
Beat their battled courage raw,
Reduce them to tears-commit them to flaw!"

To this, I say, bring it on
Drag me to the prisons that quiver,
Into the hell that encompasses the strongest of mind
If treasures are fables, then grime I shall find
And I shall mold the muck into wings of luck
Descending the cliffs of the damned
I will light the wick in my world
With the flame of all determination unfurled!

In the cries of goodbyes I will lift mine eyes,
Across the seas of delusion,
Sing-song, supple voices cry,
"Welcome to dream,
Welcome to relief,
Welcome to mastered misery supreme!
Syrupy promises, in smiles we roam,
And make sugared falsehood our hanus home!
Take their wearied souls and breathe,
In the softest fumes of darkest retreat,
Drain their sorrows in the booze of blood,
Take their children and drown them in mud!"

To this, I say, bring it on!
Lure me into your seas of wrath,
Poisoned with liars promising heaven
If misery be my friend, let her lend a hand,
And lift those hopeless children from the sand
Riding the waves that were once dreams-now life,
I will let myself drown at the expense of their ascension!
You will not take our next generation!

I rise in the gorgeous eyes of your frenzied surprise,
I make love to the promise that even the weak survive
As certain as there is love,
I will always battle with the tiger eye and the charm of a dove
And the souls will remember the days of suffering,
Giving into drifting doubt:
"Remember our slaving curse tonight,
Our God brings death as sure as night,
Weakly we beg you to surrender, right or wrong...
We cannot sing along if we don't belong..."

Moan and groan, my flock, till the break of dawn
Still to this day, and always,
I will pray, bleeding, heaving and graized...
Bring it on...

Evacuation and Loss

The night shone for the full moon,
Sky brewing a coarse monsoon,
Bolted were windows, locked were doors,
The frequency of death frighteningly soared.
But who was this infant high upon the hill?
He denied the storm and just stood stone still,
Eyes shut like blinds and fingers dug into ground,
Felt he could move no muscle, for was sadly street bound.
Shutting his eyes, arms wrapped tight round
His skinny body, battered and browned
Praying for the sake of friends, family and all
However imaginary, he imagined them call
“Boy, come to us we love you most”
“Our love for you is bigger than the Canadian coast”
“Do not cry, remember our love”
Joining their gaze in the beyond above,
He softly mumbled a song to forget,
The once daily song that was always a duet,
Alone on that hill without any feel,
Of an afterlife he finally accepted, wasn’t real
Tears met the floor, now bathed in yellow light,
As lightning struck him too quick to fright,
Child lay on the floor, dismembered and black,
Though his mouth was smiling and his happiness had come back,
As re-joined with family, head held high,
He waved his tortured existence goodbye.
Hugging his mum and his dad the same,
Somehow put an end to the incessant rain,
The natives emerged from their homes, safe and sound,
The boy crying for happiness at the new life he had found.
Soul peering at his body, dead at age eleven,
Holding family’s hands they could finally pass on and join heaven.
The touch of their skin brought old emotion,
Parents who were torn betwixt war and devotion,
A child whom they gave their best shot,
By train to board and bomb to not.
The grave of the boy with the electric crown,
Who carried a burden he couldn’t live down,
Stood proud in the yard of cobbles and stones,
For everyone knew those were a heroes bones,
When you look into the sky on a stormy night,
Remind yourself of the boy’s plight.
As he is the clouds that damper weather,
Out to protect his town, children altogether,
He wanted a life for them around,
That didn’t consist of being mentally wound,
A life that he could never possess,
But he did not bathe in spiralling depress.
Life is sacred, upon that hill,
Those cobbles and stones bring great goodwill,
For the sun only shines on that grassy land,
Still holding marks of the boy’s humble hand,
Some say that the yearly rain,
Is him up above, the tears of a chain.
The chain of the tears shed on that night,
Of the fear and happiness’ conventional recite,
Up above, being tucked under the covers,
Is a little boy with an injury he recovers,
Mother kisses his head and says her goodnight,
Father over bed, comforting a nightmare fright.
Drifting off, the boy could hear,
A little rhyme to calm his fear,
“Boy, come to us we love you most”
“Our love for you is bigger than the Canadian coast”
“Do not cry remember our love-“
The young man rose slowly in his bed,
Opened his eyes and smiled as he said
“I’m here”

Be My Guarantee, Make Love to Me

Make love to me, baby
Cradle me
Soothe me
Pacify me
I have but you to chase them away
These demons I try to hold at bay
Tomorrow is not guaranteed
Nothing is real anyway
It's all a dream
Nothing will stay
It will all one day melt away
Why wait?
Let the melting begin
In this heat between you and me
…make me melt
In this fire
Make love to me

Nothing else but you in candle light
Nothing by your face above mine
Nothing but your hands all over me
Nothing but your scent clinging to me
Nothing but you
Now….HERE
Make love to me

Make love to me
Oh, make it last and last
Eternity past forgotten
Eternity future
May never come
Eternity present is here
In this moment
Don’t rush
To your body...crush
Hush
Every other noise
But the panting of my heart
whispered moans
Your name bursting
From trembling lips
Don’t let anything else
Take your mind away from me
The world doesn’t exist
the universe?
It's only lies
It’s here
My universe in your eyes
Blazing comets of desire
Combusting into me
All that was ever meant to be
Will be
Just..
Make love to me

Close your ears
To these sounds of war
In this shelter
Be safe
Close your ears
To the deafening blasts
They won't last
We will
Forget the ground shaking
The world being torn apart
Tear off my clothes
Shake me
Let me quake
In the blast of your passion
Fill your ears with the sounds of me
Thundering ecstasy
Deafening heartbeats
My voice telling you….breathlessly
You are who you’re meant to be
A lover not a fighter
A lover of me
Make love to me

We may not live another week
Baby…not another day
Nothing is guaranteed
Just this hour
This moment of melding into one
Coming undone
Flesh on flesh reality
I close my eyes
And let myself go free
Who cares what becomes of me
Right now, right here
Paradise is sinking into me…
As you make love
As you make that sweet love
To ME...

Let Rip the Farts of Love and War

I love to fart, it stands me tall,
the raucous rumbling, belly bell,
all look around with eyes aghast,
to witness such a mighty blast.

when before the beak for slander foul,
I gave him one that made him scowl,
“does Sir require a time alone?”
I farted down his crony’s phone.

and if I’m lauded, like Le Potomane,
I light one to produce a tongue of blue
incandescent flame; thus lit, the room
and shadows prance, about the room
the dragons dance

and when in battle we cower from gun,
and want to encourage my comrades on,
I crouch below hell’s muddy trench, and
thus release the devil’s stench

then running forward death all around, I
fart the bugle’s curdling sound, and to
the enemy’s quick dumbfound, so
soon we seize triumphant ground

you see for me it is no shame, to unleash
the belly’s dogs of war, and oft when
travelling by first class, I give them a blast
from boiling ass

when love speaks strong and passion cries,
beneath the sheets there are no lies, so ahhs!!
or Oohs!! I never start, but let rip a lover’s
orgasmic fart

look: tis not the wallet, watch or jewel, that
creates the jinx, and mocks the fool, a prettier
penny lies beneath;
tis the fart; and jealous mule, the thief.

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

Urgent Call for Love

 Urgent Call for Love

The evil axis has been burning
Who rules the land? It’s now very vague.
The second son must get out of old Al Sham
And meet the hungry jury in The Hague
The puppet is hanging by his last string
And the judgment day is sure to come
Forty thousand martyrs will be singing
As they join me in my urgent call for love.

The war machine is pregnant and is bloated.
Money births an icy, rigid son.
He grows up in the muck of all this madness,
It arms its addled brother with a gun.
In my world, war is not an option,
Let’s end the chaos with a silken glove
Murdered angels soar among the heavens
Please join me, in my urgent call for love.

I’d love to build a mass market dart board
With mug shots of the Senators and House
I’d load it on an App and shoot the darts off
With the quiet, perfect clicking of my mouse.
How can these servants bow before their master?
When Moses had already freed his tethered load?
Make them testify before the one judge
And answer to our urgent call for love

Some years ago a scholar lost his lectern
Because somebody stole my vote away
He spoke his truth in defense of climate
And was told let’s fix it later, not today
When the perfect storm came a calling
It blew our measured lives and hopes astray
My Mother, here’s an olive branch and white dove
I surrender to the urgent call for love.

The pleading skies and rivers, they have warned us
Their voices rose to wail their tortured song
The veins of life, they have been all corrupted
And darkness has been blinding us in fog.
Insanity bathes in its make shift chambers
It soaks in a vile and filthy marble tub.
Please join in my call for our salvation,
I am humbled, in my urgent call for love.

An Epic Battle With A Simple Question

A beautiful heart pines from afar. To parallel freedom, we choose our master. In Love, the Dragon and Unicorn are! Celestial winged heart beats faster, Over mountain and ocean meet polar eyes. To parallel freedom, we choose our master. Embarking from sun brewed and moonshine skies Two alien races, in war, collide. Over mountain and ocean meet polar eyes. All brothers' swords raise, marching with pride. Sisters of heaven let feathers fly. Two alien races, in war, collide. The angered clouds rain blood from the sky. A new path finally found. Sisters of heaven let feathers fly. Brothers' swords low now to the ground. A beautiful heart pines from afar. A new path finally found. In Love, the Dragon and Unicorn are! In universe Out bound energy Where are we when we die?

Your Love

The first time I beheld your being, I felt that creation helded, its breath.

Without peace of mind you are in a constant state of war within.

With your tongue, you murder your brothers, sisters,, complete strangers,

And then the innocent, as you allow the guilty to go free.

You go to war with your own heart! Yet we pursue love, or and lust,

with a tenacity and then we declare a cease-fire, that has only one truth.

It blinds us to such a depth, that the cease-fire fails.

Kill You Today, Love You Tomorrow-Love And War

I lay in my bed day by day,
thinking of what next to say,
I feel I dont love you
anymore,
its like I was drowning & now
I'm ashore
I feel no love & no hate my
heart is sore.
all is fair in love & war
Inside my twisted mind i mix,
Two very different links,
Today you die,
tomorrow you cry,
today I'm wielding a sword,
tomorrow I'm defeated by
your words.
I see you in my dreams,
but we are on different teams,
it feels so right & yet its so
wrong,
its like I'm in heaven, but not
for long.
I will kill you today & love you
tomorrow,
this day is on happiness & the
next sorrow,
Why am I like this? Are you to
blame?,
Why are you always that
flame?,
I stand in the midst of
Armageddon
ready for war,
with my armour & hammer
looking like thor,
I see you on the other side
are you looking for more?,
only God knows what it is
we're fighting for!

Notice of Love and War

He woke and saw his beloved asleep with one breast partially exposed

And with his fantastic limp he works his way to the kitchen

He made coffee for her with croissant lathered with jam

Gently he pulled at the exposed women and gestures with the tray

Happily she wakes and with great affection reaches for him

Coffee is second and pastries with jam come close to him

But he is first and the love hits him like the wind

Gently it began and gale force now

He had to lash himself so he wouldn't be swept away

And it grew

She always lay in their position and there was no other

He would mold himself to her and tease her nipple

He came home weathered from the battle and with grief

Friends had been shot by snipers and the heat

He had seen a woman with a basket approach his friend

And she dropped the basket and pulled the belt

The explosion deafened him and his comrade's face is gone

Fragments hit him but he is running to his friend

But the friend lays silent

Gazing to the wetness on his leg he falls

He is deafened and wakes in terror and looks upon the leg

And finding himself in bed she tries to talk with him

But he claim's it's a bad dream and the basket falling

And later...............

The limp was his reminder of that day and he eats the croissant for his friend

Estaba lleno el Verano /Der Sommer war voll/The Summer Was Full

Estaba lleno el verano,
Estaba lleno el verano
de flores, de deseos
como un espejo de cristáles azules,
reflejando los sueños
y el suave color del cielo,
estaba lleno el verano
con nuestro amor.

El color de las casas
antiguas de Oxford,
limpias como después
de una lluvia de leche,
blancas y maravillosas.

Estaba lleno el verano,
lleno de nuestro amor
y de canciones.
Estaba lleno el verano
de calles angustas y cerradas.

Estaba lleno el verano
de espuma, de murallas antiguas,
de música abandonada y olvida.

Estaba lleno el verano
y nuestro amor hize brillar
los sitios como la nieve
hace blanquear las estrellas
en noches de invierno.

Estaba lleno el verano,
lleno de nuestros deseos,
lleno de flores frescas
de un paraiso extraño.

Estaba lleno éste verano,
lleno de abrazos y besos de nuestros corazónes.

Der Sommer war voll,
der Sommer war voll
mit Blumen, mit Wünschen
wie ein Spiegel aus blauen Kristallen,
der Wünsche wiederspiegelt,
der Sommer war voll mit unserer Liebe.

Die Farben der alten
Häuser Oxfords,
sauber, wie nach einem Regen
aus Milch,
weiß und herrlich.

Der Sommer war voll,
voll von unserer Liebe
und von Gesang.
Der Sommer war voll
von engen, verschlossenen Gassen.

Der Sommer war voll
von Schaum, altem Gemäuer,
von vergessener, verlorener Musik.

Der Sommer war voll
und unsere Liebe ließ die Plätze erstrahlen
wie der Schnee
die Sterne erstrahlen lässt
in Winternächten.

Der Sommer war voll,
voll von unseren Sehnsüchten,
von frischen Blumen
eines fremden Paradieses,
voller Umarmungen und voll der Küsse unserer Herzen.

The summer was full with
flowers and dreams
like a mirror of blue crystals,
reflecting dreams
and the soft colour of the sky.
The summer was full with our love.
The colour of the ancient houses of Oxford,
neat as after a rain of milk,
white and wonderful.
The summer was full
With our love and songs.
The summer was full with
narrow, crowded streets.
The summer was full with
the foam of old walls,
full of forgotten and old tunes.
Our love threw light over the sites,
like snow let shine the stars
in winter nights.
The summer was full with our desires
and fresh flowers
of an unknown paradise.
The summer was full
with our kisses
and with our hearts.

SOLDIER'S VOW

Not winter blowing cold, not the frost kind His Army jacket bearing a promise; Like token draped on shoulders he will miss That from anticipated distance, we find, One kiss to quell a thirsting quite refined With gentle rush to dance, to care, and tease. Yet love must express, his will, to say this, How treasured you are and always enshrined. So come, dear one, let’s trail the endless strands Before I go to war holding your dew Yonder the waiting grass, near iced trees’ nest Our vows entwined along the New Year sands, Return I will as faithful groom, renewed Yes, only then shall we feel wholly blessed! My mother, my earth.

Into the light I see,
with rays in clouds and warmth in me.
Brittle is the air around,
no voice is there, nor sweeter sound.

Within my scars and broken back,
there are my kin, there love I lack.
The oceans turn, therefore I weep,
Is it truly my tears to keep?

Now the mountains begin to fall,
like sand and dust to death they call.
I hear my children bleed and cry,
there bellies thirst and almost dry.

Some will seat and eat there fill,
"lets help them now, so now we will!
His mother would find pride within,
a pretty thing this life of sin.

Alas, my days are almost through,
my breath, my flesh and heart is too.
Let this be my final song,
for war alone is for the strong.

Into the night I see,
is there still love left for me?

WATCHING A SUMMER STORM IN DOYLESTOWN

WATCHING A SUMMER STORM IN DOYLESTOWN
I was laid to rest,
my death keeps getting better.
If you find me here, you know, I'm yours to keep.
I could try to say
I love you in this letter,
or pretending you are here, sing you to sleep.

If the world was mine,
I find it quite amusing,
I would give it all away, to see your eyes,
I would save your life,
and everything you're losing,
all because you never see who's telling lies.

I am just as dead
as is your heart each morning.
If the wind has blown, you know I will be there.
I will touch your life,
without much of a warning,
never look for me, just know I'm everywhere.

I'm a summer storm,
my hope is crashing thunder.
I'm a lightning bolt, my love is five alarm.
if I rain all night,
it's just a spell I'm under,
you should know I'm dead, and won't do any harm.

I'm a little boy.
An old man getting younger.
All I have is how I know how things should be.
We still want the world
to live in death and hunger,
yet I love your eyes, when your eyes look at me.

Sgt Griffin

A sorte protege os audazes
Yes a sergeant rode in here as always with
A daring pair of rangers that made us just
Go pray it's back to Fashion Day because
Baby we won't have to pass away, oh no
To the reality of a fascist state
Although

It's hard it's envious of me to see you apart from me baby
Yeah into so many things that aren't a part of me maybe
It's the coat of arms oh stitched by those that harm
That cause alarm
Or the green card rejected by the armies of God be-
Cause they frost The Fall and that's

That's just to save us all
And the justice saves us all

And the style is designed
And with the sign of a Griffin
The symbolism of a lion of wisdom
Where the kings have wings
Oh don't you see
Yeah my envy of these things that separate you and me

So the poet in the philosopher
He said that he'd
He'd throw us the thrill of a cross but first
Put on a gauntlet, in a British accent "lad you can't let
Oh the truth bring out the worst and let it get
Yeah the best of you" so

We'll catch it without the hurt but
Still left with a loss of words 'cause

The style is designed
And with the sign of the Griffin
The symbolism of a lion of wisdom
Where the kings have wings
Oh don't you see
Yeah my envy of these things that separate you from me
My envy of things that separate you and me

TO LOVE YOUR COUNTRY

To love your country,
you must commit yourself indefinetly;
there are no doubts, or fears
when it comes to defend it fervently..
do it for the sake of your family,
or your countrymen who wish for peace!

They will send you to distant lands,
away from your loved ones...
to uphold freedom and its sanctity,
and you'll shine with bravery!

Anytime peace is threatened,
you'll retaliate and engage in combat,
true soldiers always fight with self-confidence,
never retreat in any circumstance!

There'll be days of fright , of darkness and despair,
and nights to shed tears on cold pillows;
no tender eyes to glance into or arms to embrace,
but surrendering distorts your honor!

As the mission comes to its end suddenly,
and you are one of the surviivors to declare victory,
although you'll also grieve for the fallen ones:
you'll wave your flag to the calmest skies!

To love your country,
you must avail yourself of dignity
and protect its borders vigilantly;
be aware of its tremendous cost:
risk your own life,or allow
the enemy to toast!

The Universal Man

I shall live and die By my own accord Only my God may judge me To him I've proved my worth I am still here fighting It matters not what for On my ship of righteousness Headed for waters unexplored The clear night sky will darken And the clouds seem ominous I take heed to the sure signs From them I won't digress They are in the way of my dreams And hopes that fill my sails Like the wind from my heaven Keeps my skin tough as nails Evil comes to tempt me I am not immune Sometimes I play the hero Other times I'm just a fool Either way the choice is mine I make it with my free will For that's the gift he gave me And for what I fight for still The government is coming To bring a chaos they call order The line has been drawn Between two sides there is a border I feel myself being torn To choose a fate in stone Let this be a lesson Why I wander on my own Minds can be controlled I see it every day The weak wills fall like dominos That lie littering my way An obstacle before me I iron will it to the end And when the devil comes to dance with me I have already started to transcend into everything around I am the universal man my true form I shall disguise I am hiding it from this great Satan they say will come for my demise I know he will find me maybe he already has in a long gone nightmare that my soul he stole at last if I remember correctly I can't say I recall ever escaping his grip or did it ever touch me at all?

War in the Street

War
in the street
faces
marred by defeat
crying, fighting
kicking, biting

where is the truth they’re refusing?
can’t you see humanity is losing?

sapphires
seeking retribution
victims
of senseless persecution
amnesty
road blocked by political futility
stubborn leaders
breeding this brutality

martyrs
paving ways brave and proud
but signs say, ”NO PROTESTING ALLOWED!"
people
risking their lives
to benefit future generations
placing themselves on shelves
for the sake of their children's salvation

for now, they fall
bludgeoned in defeat
with hopes of a brighter tomorrow
for this bloodshed today in the street

Code Red: Army of Gods

She was intelligent enough not to tell the gentleman of
The access card to her madness of heart
He played strong suits in case his suitcase didn't make
The pursuit in hand soon cut to the chase

But this is business at its finest
When we promised we wouldn't try this 'cause
It's an -ism that isn't auto
Like the condition in my blood flow
Don't you know oh
You didn't know

And now it's code red at the marina
And the emotions bled because I've seen her
Venus in arms baby an arsenal from afar
Venus in arms with her army of gods

I fight emotionless
Since in my soul there's less
We're in suit
But you get the credit while they edit out the sects
Oh it's enough
Baby the -ism's from above

So it's code red at the marina
And the emotions bled because I've seen her
Venus in arms baby the arsenal from afar
Venus in arms with her army of gods

And she's in my arms
Like a victim of love
Yes in my arms
My victim from above

The Baby Blue Bonnet

The smile on one's face makes them feel glad again
My sister always had a smile to share
Once came time for her birthday,
A handsome boy came to call
And along with him,
A baby blue bonnet that pleased us all.

The smile on her face showed us she was glad
She leaned in a gave a sweet little kiss
Then the Civil War started and he had to go
She would be crying for him.

The bleak war raged on
Many were dead
She was pining for him.

The sheets of casualties came and they left
Many were torn to pieces
My sister dear cried,
"He has died and left me!"
She hugged the dear baby blue bonnet.

The time was bleak when she claimed the body
Sister dear had to wear black
When came the funeral,
She brought with her
The beloved baby blue bonnet

She refused to wear the hideous black hat
"Instead the bonnet!" she cried
For she would remember
The sunny day when,
He gave her the baby blue bonnet.

A walk with me

Waves crash the rocks in ecstasy
as I pass the archway
to the sea.
Onwards to the village,
busy cafes,
the aroma of coffee brewing,
as a power of teens gather, texting.

I venture down
a chestnut lined road
under a canopy
of Copper Beech
where bright shafts of sun
illuminate a lane of lavender
a sea of perfume
wafts the air.

Climbing an incline,
hills in view,
the distant sobbing
of water sounds
a trickling brook emerges
ambling through magenta heather
and thorny gorse.

I reach a stile,
entrance to the woods
where a carpet
of frosted red cyclamen
bleeds down to a deep dark glen.
A chicory lake lies there, frozen
as a mist uncurls between reeds.

The granite hills,
 soft with snow,
luminous against a whale grey sky.
A copse of pine trees
surround a curving river
where trout pout, bubbling.

At the fold of day,
returning hom
The pale sun sinks the horizon
as stars tremble
into a velvet night

A Little Hill in Arlington

A Little Hill in Arlington

There’s a little hill in Arlington
Where no bodies are interred
Yet crosses dot the hillside
And Taps are sometimes heard

Unlike the Unknown Soldier
With “unknowns” in the ground
This little hill in Arlington
Is for soldiers never found

I grew up without a father
He was gone when I was four
Flying for the Air Force
Back in the Korean War

His plane was ore’ the Azores
When communications ceased
The search went on for days and days
They never found a piece

My mother raised four children
Each day she learned to cope
She said until a body’s found
We’d never give up hope
The years went by just waiting
And my mother, bless her soul
Held on until her very end
To a grieving widow’s role

For fifty years we children
Had no resting place for Dad
No gravesite and no marker
No closure ever had

Then on little hill in Arlington
Where no bodies are interred
We raised a simple white cross
Dad’s Taps were finally heard

My big sister got the folded flag
And we all shed the tears
That had been bottled up inside us
For all those fifty years

Now Dad, he has a resting place
With other fallen sons
On a quiet little hillside
Right here in Arlington

holokauston Page 2 of 2

After the quiet we all have to go
Dragged and carted by the Sonderkommando
To be dumped in pits covered by lime
A race to dispose by it's Human slime

Auschwitz, Buchenwald & Dachau slaughtered
Many a son, many a daughter
Experiments on children women and men
Some aged 90, many under 10

In 45, their end was near, how many alive would reappear
As Russians, British and US troops
Chased the Hun to their German roots
Each camp reached showed it's sordid past
Where millions of me, were massively gassed

In Auschwitz, to this present day
Birds don't fly, no animals play
The reminder is all for there to see
Those terrible days what happened to me

It's 1948, our Nation is born
From histories past, populations torn
To all who survived I wish you well
And our new born world, called Israel

He Left Her a White Rose

Its the morning after the night before
As i leave my new wife, whom i lovingly adore

My orders came through, overseas i head
With my band of brothers, not knowing what's ahead

Married for days, whilst conflict takes him away
Holding sheets where we slept, my memory bouquet

At the bottom of our bed, there lies a virgin white rose
With a note beneath i am in momentary froze

I sit and stare as to what it might say
Knowing this is the day my love flies away

My darling Tinks i leave this white rose for you
Its pristine appearance describes my darling so true

It symbolises you, so innocent so pure
With your love in my heart, i will return i assure

Think of the day, from these distant lands from beyond
For the morning after the night before, we will respond

This virgin white rose, so bridal so pure
You and its safety i will secure, for you to return for our future

The day you come home, it shall lay on our bed
And we will continue our lives, as you have always said

I will go about my tomorrow's, thinking of you every day
And prey that this virgin white rose, never turns deathly grey
