Soul mates solace

When my final shadows cling on desperately
Where I fight formidable battles
to merely hold the light
I send you loving vibrations
and soul sustenance
Deep from the cathedral
of one heart to another
where today no choirs sing
nor symphonies play
Yet it is here where we meet
in spiritual solace
here to surrender
and exchange inestimable treasures
recollecting memories
like unopened letters
Galaxies are stretched
over chronicles of shared history
Nebula birthing stars
will be exposed
in forth-coming conversations
bringing short-lived fulfillment to you
Hungry to feast
now will be the time
to approve your blood art vision
and with my own haunting surrender
as dappled shades ink stain your chest
I will reside with you and share, mesmerised
pens - by branding
as this will be your written reams to me
your artist's pallet or brushed canvas
no need for words
and yet creating
mysterious magical moments
Bitter-sweet the music
that dances taut guitar strings
but now blood approved
please go kick your heel up
return to your laughter
and ride on the breeze
for not all are lost
change not
for I am with you always
to love, listen and comfort as one
with you in me and I in you
as masterpiece

Why I Love Him

I love Langston Hughes. I've written about him before. I've written about the Dream Keeper. I love the theme of dreams. You should read his poem, Dreams. However, today, this poem is speaking to my heart. Life is fine...Sometimes we are beset by problems that seem to do us in. Broken hearts...unfulfilled dreams...deceptive people...It's hard. I've lately become very disillusioned with certain people. Saying one thing....and meaning another. Twisting truths. Sometimes I want to give up...BUT LIFE IS FINE!!! ;)

Enjoy this!! You'll thank me later!

Hugs

Langston Hughes, 1902 - 1967
 .
I went down to the river,
I set down on the bank.
I tried to think but couldn’t,
So I jumped in and sank.

I came up once and hollered!
I came up twice and cried!
If that water hadn’t a-been so cold
I might’ve sunk and died.

But it was Cold in that water! It was cold!

I took the elevator
Sixteen floors above the ground.
I thought about my baby
And thought I would jump down.

I stood there and I hollered!
I stood there and I cried!
If it hadn’t a-been so high
I might’ve jumped and died.

But it was High up there! It was high!

So since I’m still here livin’,
I guess I will live on.
I could’ve died for love—
But for livin’ I was born

Though you may hear me holler,
And you may see me cry—
I’ll be dogged, sweet baby,
If you gonna see me die.

Life is fine! Fine as wine! Life is fine!

Find In Our Eternity, Sweet Love

Find In Our Eternity, Sweet Love

 Find in my Heart,
cast away misdeeds never to be embraced
 Find in my heart,
a love of you that can never be erased

 Find in this Soul,
a friend so gladly embracing all of you
 Find in this soul,
true lover that forever loves all you do

 Find in my Dreams,
golden paradise I built for your pleasure
 Find in my dreams,
a deep love, gentle and without measure

 Find in my Desires,
gentle touch, a touch of your pretty face
 Find in my desires,
nights seeing you dressed up in black lace

 Find in my Life,
a sworn oath to your deep love be true
 Find in my life,
to each bright morn, our deep love renew

 Find in our Eternity,
a golden palace made just for you and I
 Find in our eternity,
united love, as great as a Heavenly sky

 Robert J. Lindley, 02-03-2015

note: I failed to write my darling wife her daily poem yesterday(first time in ten years).
So she being playful demanded I write a double good one this fine morning.
I hope this effort will do. If not, then I am lost as this came directly from
my loving heart to her, my sweetest sunshine, my darling wife.

The Last Gold Leaf

The last gold leaf hangs on the bough;
Summer is just a mem'ry now.
You, too, have gone, my golden friend;
Our summer days came to an end.

We said goodbye; our chapter closed.
How I will miss you no one knows.
 On eagle wings you split the skies;
Your spirit soared. You had to fly.

My earthbound soul will bear its grief
Severed from you on mortal reef;
But returning from yonder shore,
Your love in waves will wash me o'er.

You've gone before, my trusted love;
I wait behind, your mourning dove;
Yet, from across the great divide
Your voice to me in dreams confides.

No, I think not that dreams they are;
T is communion of the near with far.
On such sweet songs I stake my claim
To know and love you once again.

Ode to My Husband

Ode to My Husband
What a wonderful, magical surprise! Sometimes love arrives in disguise. I never saw this coming, Never anticipated such an awesome blessing. I was at the right place, When I spied your sweet, handsome face. It was at the right time, When you called me your goddess and I knew you were mine. Until I met you, I was like a sad, little bird with no songs to sing, With only broken wings, l had to work my way through some hurtful things.
But you came along, A real man, unselfishly offering me strong, broad shoulders to lean on. It was a long, slow process getting back on track, But you were patient and willing to take the burden off my back. When I was lost and alone, you showered me with loving attention, Tenderness, kindness, and consideration. You nurtured and cherished me each step of the way, Building my confidence and trust each day. Thank you for helping my fragile heart to mend, Thank you for helping me become whole and to love again!

Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

The Curves Of Those Sensual Lips

The Curves Of Those Sensual Lips

The curves that form those hips
the curves of those sensual lips
The beauty that my mind so trips
face could launch a thousand ships

Hair that shines and so allures
from your love I want no cures
Willingly fall for all your lures
your body, please give the tours

Eyes that emerse me in a feast
power that fuels me into a beast
Bright with a slant from the East
love me, marry me, touch me at least

Legs that so thrill my eager mind
 you the treasured greatest find
Wrap me up, my body please entwine
our hearts, your body must bind

Face that drives me deep into lust
have you, love you, I simply must
Beauty forever , you I simply trust
yes, love you until we both are dust

The curves that form those hips
the curves of those sensual lips
With your love I'll make no slips
we love deeply into forever trips

COOKIES

Now they say that girls are made of sugar
And spice, but good girls finish last my friend.
For there is one truth for all women kind,
Come hell or high water we will fight
For our right to indulge ourselves in
The need for perfections greatest
Confections, COOKIES!!!
Yes we will take down that cookie
Puppet clown, dressed in blue,
For there is no fiercer monster known
To man, then a women who’s cookie
Faddish is left unsatisfied.
Peanut butter to chocolate chip,
Just pass the milk and watch out dude,
For women shall be the first to dip.
Call us the two fisted women of the
Raw dough generation, we don’t
Really care, just pass grandma’s old
Cookie jar.
Roll me down the bakery sweet,
No fragrance smells finer then freshly
Baked what ladies, COOKIES.
Sugar me sweet it’s the ladies favorite
Treat, by the bucket or truck load it can’t
Be beat, frosted or plain, it matters not,
But without Milk its sacrilege that is
No doubt!!
Now chocolate maybe the vise five to
Seven days a month, but cookies rule
As the male race drools, because honey
There is no doubt women will take you
Don’t for what, lets all say it ladies around
The world, all together now, SAY WHAT
COOKIES!!!!!!
By the way did I tell you my favorite
Food in the world, of course it’s very
Obvious, COOKIES!!

True Friendship

 ~True Friendship~
 (Couplets)

True friends are really a treasure so rare
There are not many like that who really cares.

If you happen to have one exactly like that
Be happy you got lucky,so toss high your hat.

Real friends wish to share everything with you, laughter and tears
And like finest wine they just get better all throughout the years.

They will be loyal, honest and true no matter what you may go through
A true friend will not hurt you on purpose and she always care for you.

There are not many good friends around like this they're hard to find
Better just have one true than maybe dozens that are untrue and fake in kind.

So if you already have a true friend consider yourself very lucky everyday
And treat well that friend with all the love and respect that(she or he)deserves all way.

A Tribute to Jayson, My Brave Warrior

A Tribute to Jayson, My Brave Warrior
My dear son, Jayson When you called late last night to let me know You were deploying to go overseas tomorrow In spite of my great resolve I broke down and sobbed.
The little boy I lovingly nurtured So witty and good-natured So kind, compassionate, and loving You’ll always be my sweet boy Even though the world now sees you as a grown man.
Recalling special times when I showered your baby face with kisses Or tickled your armpits Howling with laughter, you would beg me “Do it again, Mommy, I love it!”
I remember all those moments we had At times rocky, sometimes sad But most of all memorable and enjoyable. I remember your growing pains All your questions, anxieties, and mixed-up emotions Yes, we made it through hurdles you and I Making me laugh, making me cry But taking that journey together was quite priceless!
You’re now a strong, valiant, young man Willingly putting your life on the line Many have thanked you for your service And, my brave warrior, I am so proud of you When I hear your humble, heartfelt reply, “Glad to do it!”
You’re just simply the best! While you took a minute to leave the nest I’m grateful for the extra time we were given But I know It’s time to let you go – Go take your rightful place in the world.
You’ve grown wings like a fierce eagle It’s your time to fly high! Now soar! But remember that you are always a part of me And even though we may no longer hold hands We are still holding hearts.
These tear-splattered pages Reflect my anguished heart Knowing you’re prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for your country I pray that you will return to me safe and sound I love you, my hero - my precious son. Godspeed! ¡Vaya con Dios!

Mon Belle Femme

There's a lady I know as pretty as primrose,

With innocence of soul,

   how I know ----

None whom has walked this wide world 'ere

   more lovely than her dimmest delicacy;

The sweet of lavender envious in her passing....

the King-Rose longs her deeper crimson lush,

   and divorce he the earth, to marry her but a day;

And death dare not take her

lest he die in her love,

For holy her heart,

   where the angels take leave

   to but watch mere glimpses of her beauteous art;

with eternal pledges the very ground 'neath her feet

   hallowed with heals,

Her wind as cherubin lungs to fill the sails of saints,

   a messiah for Epicurus ----

   for no ail shall last long in her soothing shadow;

Nay,

   the sun shall not shine

with same vibrance in her leaving,

But the stars align with her remembrance,

   and God in all His glory more joyful for her making;

For He made her from His finest silks

   and honeys from heaven.....

   a mentor for Venus,

   (mon belle femme)

The Priest with Spirited Eyes

The Priest with Spirited Eyes

Heart sees tender giving in those spirited eyes,-
Shared love given to those with great need!
Comforting hearts that hurt but don't bleed,
With love spent in helping as precious time flies

Your healing gently washes away so many lies,
Mercy prevails as you plant that seed;-
Heart sees tender giving in those spirited eyes,
Shared love given to those with great need!

As welcomed as are rain clouds in desert skies
Healing those victims with kindness and speed!
Hearts mended, imprisoned Souls quickly freed,
With tender mercies prevailing and joy in the cries,
Heart sees tender giving in those spirited eyes.

Tribute to My Dearest Daughter

Tribute to My Dearest Daughter
My darling daughter, Precious child of my youth, Dearest to my heart - From that wonderful moment When I first felt that fluttering of life, Rhythmically beating beneath my expectant bosom, I knew that I would unconditionally love you forever.
With deep motherly pride I helped you develop into womanhood Watching you become a strong, well-rounded woman. A loving mother yourself, you are not only a blessing To your own children and your family, But you are also a blessing to others - Those who hurt in life and need care and compassion.
With its ups and downs, life has transformed you, Challenged, nurtured, matured, and molded you. You are kind, thoughtful, generous, patient, and understanding, Unselfishly expecting nothing in return. You are a wonderful human being - You are a true angel. God bless you, my dearest daughter, my love!

Mother Teresa and I

Mother Teresa
She is the mother of every poor people, injured people, ordinary people...

Always we remember the great news
'Mother Teresa will get the Nobel Peace Prize.'
It was one of the best moment in our life...

She lived in our city Kolkata (Calcutta) .
She ate our Bengali foods.
She loved us so much...

One day, I was twelve years old
I met her at Mother House along with my parents.
I looked at her heavenly eyes.
I touched her sacred feet and hands.
I heard her divine speeches.
I love her innocent smile.

I told her only the sentences,
'You are the mother of the world,
Mother of my parents.
So you are my grandmother.'

My father hesitated. My mother was silent.

Mother Teresa said to me with smile,
'GOD BLESS YOU MY SON'

Today my eyes are full of tears
Mother, I miss you.
I love you so much....

SANDIP GOSWAMI, INDIA

(Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which in 2012 consisted of over 4,500 sisters and is active in 133 countries. They run hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children's and family counselling programmes; orphanages; and schools. Members of the institute must adhere to the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience, and the fourth vow, to give "wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor".

Mother Teresa was the recipient of numerous honours including the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize. In 2003, she was beatified as "Blessed Teresa of Calcutta". A second miracle credited to her intercession is required before she can be recognised as a saint by the Catholic Church.)

The Ballad of White Bird Pass - For Truckers and Those Who Love them

Dedicated to those who work day and night in all kinds of weather to bring us our stuff. We all know we get cranky if we don’t get our stuff!

My daddy was a truckin’ man, back in ’63 hardly ever home with his family of three. Mostly drivin’ Idaho, highway 95. Drivin’ in the winter, hard to stay alive. He headed up to Grangeville, loaded with some gas had to cross the twister — dreaded White Bird Pass Road coiled like a slinky, full of mule-shoe turns. Wasn’t any guard rail then, just some earthen berms. Middle of a blizzard, wasn’t fit for beast nor man. Daddy had no choice, there was no better plan. Chained the drivers like he should, headed up the hill. Taming curves on snow-packed ice, required an iron will. A mile from the summit, the blizzard took a break What my daddy saw, surely made him shake. A wagon full of cub scouts, some mama at the wheel crossed the line a skiddin' — he likely heard her squeal. In a fatal instant, a fateful choice he made he saved a pack of lives, but his truck went o’er the grade. A jackknifed trailer skidding weighed dang-near fifteen tons but it saved a tearful mother and dozen mother’s sons. Somehow Daddy managed, to make that truck a dove, it touched the wagon’s bumper, like a gentle velvet glove. In the mirror he watched, as he headed out of sight, the wagon gently kissed the uphill bank, ending one bad plight. The choice he made that day, became my daddy’s end. His truck rolled down the hill, his very final bend. Now there is a new road, on that very hill Modern, straighter, safer, because of daddy Bill. If you’re ever out that way, be sure to stop and read the sign: “A hero lived and died here, way before his time.”

A woman's heart

my father always told me
"son don't go breaking no hearts
if you cant take her to the finish line
then don't go making any false starts

don't take a woman hearts for granted
treat her with kindness and respect
make her feel special and wanted
never make her cry and feel neglect

for god created woman as a gift
for man to honor ,cherish and love
they are our heaven on earth
our beautiful angel from above

the magical wonders of a woman
has no limits or boundaries to retrieve
with a good woman besides you
"son "there's nothing that you cant achieve

the words my father has spoken
it has never left my ears
and his wisdom and understanding
I carry with me through out the years

one day i will find a good woman
and i will ask her to be my wife
and i shall treat her like a princess
love and cherish her for the rest of her life

the woman who gets my heart
will own it from now and forever
and i will fill her life with happiness
every second that we spend together

and i will take her to Trinidad and Tobago
Trinidad is the country where i was born
and will introduce her to all the tasty dishes
and see the sunrise at the break of dawn

and we will take walks on the beach
holding hands under the moonlight
and if the sea breeze makes her cold
i will hold her in my arms all night

yes the woman that i will love
will be the queen of all queens
the diamond of all diamonds
the wish of my every dreams

until i meet this beautiful woman
who will be the one to share my life
i will continue to write my poems
knowing one day my angel will arrive

and will cover me with her love
like the sun over the the seven seas
as my father looks down from heaven
proud of the man that i have come to be

I'm my Daddy Made Over

Dedicated to my Dad Jerry W. Niday 3/20/1952 - 6/18/2013

I am who I am because of him
He’s the reason for my son’s name
He gave me my courage & my strength
To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy
Stand for the ones who can’t
To think and fend for myself
I’m my Daddy made over

Taught me to fight back
To never back down
How to pick myself back up
When I’ve been knocked down
Fight for what I believe
I’m my Daddy made over

He gave me my stubbornness
Gave me my pride
Gave me my temper
Taught me not to take crap
To speak my mind no matter who
Work for what I want
I’m my Daddy made over

How to keep my emotions in check
How to handle large amounts of pain
When in trouble he always had my back
He knew how my mind worked better than anyone
I got it from him
I’m my Daddy made over

Even though he’s gone
I’ll stand and continue on
I may stumble I may fall
May even get hurt along the way
But I’ll pick myself back up
I’ll dust myself off and stand tall
I’m honored and proud to say
I’m my Daddy made over

Tribute to Daniel

“In this life there’s been heartache and pain”
How could I begin to find love again
Desperado walking a tightrope
I looked down and Daniel gave me hope

“The first time ever I saw your face”
Cold heart melted, longed for your embrace
Your compassion and character shone
No longer could I live all alone

“You took my love and you took it down”
Felt lighter than air with feet on the ground
A love without chains, a soul unbound
But walls closed in as I watched you drown

"In a New York minute everything can change"
Sometimes life takes twists that seem strange
A human chain was formed to find my man
Reaching up was Daniel's lifeless hand

Efforts to save, resuscitate
Proved futile to fight the hands of fate
Casket sent home, called his folks to explain
“Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane”

*Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is”
*Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”
*Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”

Harmony Through Love

We haven’t been formally acquainted
Though your words now travel in me
A picture of harmony you’ve painted
Love truest, in the very highest degree

Trouble in the midst, but don’t stress
Look into the windows of the soul
Therein you’ll find your happiness
Where two parts become a whole

Partake of this newfound pleasure
Two rivers now flowing into one
The joy contained has no measure
Warmth radiating like rays of sun

On this road of destiny or now call it fate
To encounter true love, it’s never too late

Based on In Deepened Harmony by Nette Onclaud

I do not know you, but your friends desire you back. You must truly be a light and inspiration to them.

My Bicycle

Once I had a bicycle,
A loving present from my grandfather;
Since I was his favorite granddaughter,
He granted my wish at a snap of my finger .

Since he was so old,
A new bicycle he could hardly afford;
He took his bike when he was young,
Which I found it once at the back of our barn.

As far as I remember,
It was really so old and rugged;
But my grandpa was like Mr. Mac-Gyber,
Amazingly fixing all things all-over.

My granda was a well-known painter,
I thought he will repaint and use sandpapers;
When I surreptitiously sneaked into his hut,
He was there recycling all my milk cans.

When everything was done,
He gladly gave it to me with a big hug;
I hurriedly drove it at once,
Down the street and field with so much fun.

“My bike was real a unique one!” I thought.
So different from others in our neighborhood,
Its wailing siren was made up of a cow’s horn,
Tubes were made of dried bamboos and corn.

Other parts were still the same,
Like forks, hubs and chainwheel set,
The rest were made up of my milk cans,
They were pedal, brake and seatgear stem.

Handle bars were what I like most,
Converted from the handle of his old plow;
So sturdy and so strong all I knew,
And I can drive it so long in full control.

However, when I travelled quite afar,
Parts were falling one at a time;
Until everything suddenly split apart,
Eventually it dropped and rolled me down.

Kashmir-The woman

Kashmir is the innocent beauty of nature
It lifted me above all mire dark and dense.

Kashmir is the divine smile
It gifted me a peace beyond all of my sense.

Kashmir is the sorrow
It showed me a combined pain of poverty, corruption and terrorism.

Kashmir is the beautiful helpless unmarried woman.
Whose neighbors are trying to capture her body not sweet heart.

Kashmir is the paradise on earth without dream...

Taken Away
Though they wanted to stay
Christmas just a week away
Not having a chance to say goodbye
Leaving mom and dad behind
Peace and Comfort they need to find
A senseless Act
Wishing they just came back
No words can be said
Hugging my children tighter before they head to bed
Reminding us to cherish life alittle more
Say I love you as you walk out the door
Nothing can fix the damage that has been done
Rest in peace precious little ones

This tragic event is not the first nor be the last
but if we work on change we can put it in the past

Where was God in this senseless act?
Wanting these lives to simply come back
Satan came in his place
Evil layed down his head
Leaving behind pain and dread
Oh' Christmas Tree
Oh' silent Night
Twas evils will in this plight
It shouldn't of happened, especially not this way
So say, i love you before you start each day

Pal

Bob had been a lonely man ever since
His wife of fifty years had passed.
“Lord, let me join her.” he would pray.
“Let this day be my last.”

Each day, he went to the cemetery,
Just a short walk down the street.
After their talk, he would water her flowers
And hear passers-by whisper, “How sweet.”

One gray and misty morning,
He had hoped for sunnier skies
To plant fall bloomers at her graveside;
But, there, to his surprise…

Stood an old dog beside her stone;
Thin and dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as Bob approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”

He sat calmly as Bob planted flowers,
Carefully sniffing each one Bob put in place.
Then, after the last one was planted,
He sniffed it; then turned and licked Bob’s face.

Bob smiled. “I had a dog when I was young…
Pal…he was a mighty good one too.
So, if you don’t mind old fella,
That’s what I’ll call you.”

Pal may have been an old dog,
But he was smart and handsome in his way;
So they made a deal, Bob would give him a meal
And a bath, if he decided to stay.

Pal loved his bath, then rolled in the grass.
He slept on a blanket in the den.
In the night, he dragged it next to Bob’s bed.
He intended to be Bob’s best friend.

Pal was such a good dog, housebroken too;
Never made a mess or got in trouble.
He knew about newspapers, slippers and Frisbees;
And when Bob called, he ‘d come on the double.

Yes, Pal gave Bob’s life new purpose.
A special bond of friendship was cast.
And never again did Bob pray,
“Lord, let this day be my last.”

For twelve years, the very best of friends,
Together night and day;
And so it was, until one night,
Both quietly passed away.

The next morning, an old woman,
Tears welling in her sad and lonely eyes,
Brought flowers to her husband’s grave;
But there, to her surprise….

Stood an old dog beside the stone,
Thin an dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as she approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”

He sat calmly as she took old flowers
And put fresh ones in their place.
He carefully sniffed the fresh ones,
Then turned and licked her face.

She smiled. “I had a dog when I was young...
a good one too. His name was Pal.”

Flowers die,Pictures fade

I wrote this in memory of my uncle.

Flowers die and pictures fade,attempting
to erase every memory ever made.

Letters are lost while the clouds roll in,
letting the rain pour and the sadness begin.

Feelings are lost and people pass on,showing
us we're the one's who have to be strong.

GOD gives us strength to keep our head held high,
not letting the wonders of the world pass by.

Love everyday and you will see, miracles
happen when you believe.

Nothing can stop you from living your life,
even when the pain cuts like a knife.

Some family we've lost and some still remain,
leaving only love and happiness to be gained.

Some memories fade while the best never die,
leaving you with feelings of wanting to laugh and cry.

People make the biggest impact without even trying,
then everything changes when they are dying.

Ton's of faces get lost in the crowd,
to your surprise certain one's stand out.

GOD gives you love and never leaves you alone,
providing a loving family along with a good home.

Life will bear obstacles and put you to the test,
but you have to be strong and always try your best.

Never back down from any hardship thrown your way,
it will make you stronger until your last day.

Say what you feel in your heart and never back down, even
when your taking your last breath take one last look around.

Angels are singing a song only you can hear,
complete the last part with an open heart,
and absolutely no fear.

Flowers will die and pictures will fade,
but your memory is one that will always stay.

In Loving Memory of my Uncle
                                             You will be missed dearly.

Enigma's Calling

Extraordinary, I am
Craving for unusual thoughts
Endless exploration without boundary
Understanding the gift I shouldn't fought

Invisible drawings in my mind
Playing with the words in my head
My passion
The food of my soul

I feel so lucky
The random thoughts
A lifetime companion
A self esteem builder
A goal planner
Be my forever life saver

I write more
I talk less
I want to please
I chose to bore

What tickles me the most
Is to know what I'm for
Thinking is my love
When my mind goes empty
That's when I hate

My day dreaming lust
Organizing things in my mind
Playing roles of simulation
Where images of art is my vision
And words of attitude is my heart

Tribute to a Polished Stone

It is so difficult to measure,
any metaphysical treasure.
One can only glean,
Its riches of stream,
By absorbing it at one’s leisure.

I’m speaking of poetry that hovers,
Levitating between it’s covers,
just waiting to be read,
nothing left to be said,
Literature for life and lovers.

Tribute to Elizabeth Wesley’s
 new book …
“Polished Stones”
Author House publications.

It has been a long, long time since I have read anything that
has arrested my attention long enough for me to stop and smell
the roses as has this book "Polished Stones" by Elizabeth Wesley.
 Thank you Elizabeth.

THE NIGHTINGALE LOST HER LAMP

THE NIGHTINGALE LOST HER LAMP Anita’s eyes were brown. She was the kindest of angels. Her speech firm with authority but reassuring with a glass- like sensitivity; she seemed to know all. Prompt as a rooster's first crow, that's how she is. She stands like a lioness ever ready to act, a channel to prolong the patient's life. Her heart is a captive cog of dedicated compassion: as a wife, as a mother, as a Dean, Professor, and as a nurse. She stood always regal in white. Bearing a sanction of life and death with each shot made by her gentle hands. She had Tiger eyes for signs and symptoms; sponges to absorb order and pressures, she was simply a lamp for a sick person. Our batch, she handles with iron fist. Labeled as "black sheep" – for some of us are noisy cans but empty inside. Black sheep but later turned into the cream of the crop. She stood as our Samson pillars then despite canyons of doubts and critiques, our batch defies the odds. Yet, one day a snapshot happened – She fainted while teaching. She was brought to the hospital, scrutinized and observed like the frog in my sophomore year. I was one of the nurses who rendered care. I watched, how the shining light in her eyes turned to stormy sadness. I have heard how her sturdy voice now sounded a tattered tape only syllables and groans, no more. Her before supple glowing skin turned a wrinkled ash — all tautness gone. Finally, she needs only bags of blood in two days her life passed my Anita... _______________________________________________________ Sponsor Thomas Martin Contest Name Show but Don't Tell Placed 3rd... Approvals I Should Praise

Approvals I Should Praise

The rhythm of my pen knows no bounds
Its ticks, treks, and steps knows no count.
The songs on my lip just loose the count.
No where, I suppose to untie the bond.

Strong bones are so much in here
They touch and squeeze out letters bountifully.
In these bones, many light I have received gracefully.
Linda is one, Andrea is two among all of you there.

You are all amazing guests in this field
Cup of water..., cup of tea come to toast.
Many hugs, many thanks to you, writ and host.
... Eden that crowns my garden and its yields.

Special parcel to my coy mistress, Linda.
All sea, roses...and sweet showers to you.
And my lady Andrea; always brand new!
I love you all... your words in my wall are tender.

Dedicated to:
 Poetrysoup,
Poet Destroyer A,
Andrea Dietrich
and to the rest of Poetrysoupers.

I am Grateful for your warm welcome.

My son Eli

You came to me before I was ready
I cried when I heard of your existence
Over night my youth was gone
Worried sick that I wouldn’t be good enough for you
Clueless on what expect for the future
Carrying you under my heart for 9 months long
I knew that I love you
I just never knew how much
Then I saw your face
Those beautiful brown eyes staring straight into mine
My heart melted
And I asked myself how can a person love someone so much that they just met
But I did
I love you more than life it’s self
In that instant I knew my purpose on this earth was to protect you from all evil
I would give my last breath to you
I would kill for you
I would steal for you
The little keeper of my heart
My ray of sunshine during a thunder storm
So much joy have you given to me
My life is meaningless without you
I taught you how to walk and how to talk
You taught me that life’s most precious gift is the love of a child
Your smile gets me through tough times
Your laugh is a symphony of music to my ears
I dedicate my entire life to you
I make I lot of promises that I can not keep but the absolute promise to love you till Lord stops my beating heart is one that is forever
I was young and clueless
Wondering around the word deaf and dumb
Until the almighty sent you to me
I am now wiser and understanding
Selfless, patient and gentle
You, my wonderful son, are the reason for this
You changed me
You saved me
I am forever grateful for you
My little pitcher
My soldier
My kung fu ninja
My super hero
The joy of my salvation
Life makes so much more sense when I’m looking at you
Where I go, you will go
I will starve so that you can eat
Go without so that you can have
Sleepless nights and empty bank accounts is all worth seeing you happy
Many will disappoint you, leave you, hurt you, and scar you
But remember momma will forever be right here for you
You are the number one most important thing in my life
You will never come second to nothing or no one
No matter how big you grow you will forever remain my little baby boy
My heart and my soul
My beginning and my ending
My tiny angel without wings
My meaning, my reasoning, my inspiration and my motivation
My one and my only Elijah William Tippett
