I must Carpe Diem

I used to live life full of dreams
Planning, for many years to come.
Where I will be, when I will go,
A future that was filled with fun.

Till the day my life was shattered.
Till the day when the hammer struck.
All my dreams now torn asunder
Nowhere to hide, nowhere to duck.

I stood my battles, fought the fight
We gathered and said our goodbyes,
Yet through all of your brave faces,
I could still hear the silent cries.

Last Will and Testament written,
Everything important was said,
“I love you,” still that magic word,
I’d sleep in peace tucked in my bed.

Then something magical happened,
I came back from places of dread.
Now more a part of the living,
Each day I get stronger instead.

Now I know what’s most important
Enjoy precious moments each day,
Learned not to live for tomorrows
That just might not come anyway.

I enjoy each sip of coffee,
Watching leaves turn colours and fly,
Kisses from my sweet little dog,
Every time I see a blue sky.

The music of my Children’s voices,
Love of family never ends,
Carpe Diem, just seize the day,
That is my new motto my friends.

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.

Lonely Dreams

I never knew following dreams could be this lonely,
But up on the hill, looking back, thank God I'm not the old me.
If the tears will fall, let them be;
I believe this is God's plan, follow your dreams.

MY SPIRIT SINGS Almond eyes speak: "Take me home please-- bonnie green fields where I may wander, chasing butterflies and darting dragonflies dearly gazing to blue and orange streak skies. Everyday, I will find some daffodils fixing and tucking one to my ear, grin painted on my face as I look hungrily to praise and thank you, God! Interred two years ago by mistake, justice and joy, I yearn to feel, kneeling everyday, praying unto God: "Listen to me O tender God and don't leave" Merciful Father heard, He blessed me saying: "Now Son, be fruitful and multiply", I amble-- obedient me to sunny walks down winding roads, persistent to bear the given loads, quicker to maneuver from danger's path, reflexive instincts working double time! Seeking God's wisdom to always guide me, taking time to read the Bible everyday, understanding: "Man shall not live on bread alone... Vexed and pressed by a truckload of trials but whom shall I fear when God is my light and salvation. Xenacious I, excited, wanting to do it in an instant! Yes Lord! Yes Lord! Yes! Yes, Lord, Amen. Zealous is my heart and spirit as I sing! _______________________________________________________ ***xenacious means filled with yearning for change.. Her Heart Thaws

Her Heart Thaws

Ice crystals in her heart soon departed
as she met another very broken hearted
Gentle man destroyed by very dark witch
untrue to feed her gigantic greedy itch

Now bloody swords have been withdrawn
sun emerges, wind sings a sweet song
Old scars vanishing without a trace
smiles sprouting upon each happy face

Scales of justice now right old wrongs
joys spring forth in melodies and songs
Life rewards those that seek true love
with sweet blesses from the heaven above

I think back

When I think back...
I see your eyes on me across the room,
The way your lips slowly curve into a happy smile,
Your strong arms holding a child,
 And I think back...
Do you remember being the "Big Man" on campus back then?
Or the easy ways of the women you've held?
The loving hearts that you've shuttered and broke?
 And I think back...
Do you remember those secret games we once played?
Or the silent pleas to the Lord that you've made?
The loving family you've had and destroyed?
 And I think back...
And I think back to the way things are and smile,
And I think back to the way you were and I know,
And I think back to the man you've become and I love you,
 And I thank back...then I thank God.

Thanksgiving Celebrations

Time to foster your relations
With thanksgiving celebrations.
With family reminisce past,
All our love now remembering
Come together watch our hearts sing.
Nothing earthly will ever last,
Time to foster your relations
With thanksgiving celebrations.

If stumbling stones stand in your way
Remove them this Thanksgiving Day.
With family reminisce past,
Nothing earthly will ever last.
Time to foster your relations
With thanksgiving celebrations.

Thanksgiving Pudding

Mix up all the love felt for my family, God, and Home.

Sprinkle in the gratitude for material blessings from above.

Blend well, holiday cheer.

Whip the the blues and set aside.

Let the Joy rise to overflowing.

let all the friends partake of the blessings, Warm the hearts of others in my path, sautee the
ingredients and Share the Love with all the neighborhood. Set a spell and enjoy.

For You, From Me

Write away troubles,
put them in a tree,
a ground up and flattened tree.

Right away troubles
Come on back to me.

Write away troubles,
put them in a machine,
ground up into bits,
spit out the other end.
Right away troubles
are seen by new friends,

and right away the troubled
starts to mend.

I AM so thankful
to all the poets dear
who say the sweet things
my heart has longed to hear.

I want to give back
the love you have shared
I want to say
God knows you have helped me,
God knows you love
to share your sweet heart.
God loves to say thank you,

And thank you, for helping me!

Life is full of wonderment and blessings well received.
The greatest gift, so well conceived, the freedom to believe.
Thanking God that in this glorious world He perceived.
There, stands today beauty and grandeur that awed we can achieve.
Our ancestors, many moons ago, the motherland did flee.
Enriching lives, harvest, and family in this land of milk and honey.
Gratitude after we gathered the fruits of our great labors.
Holding hands with love we pray with family, friends, and neighbors.
Thankfulness for waking to feel warm sun on our face, all hail.
The wind's breeze, melodies in green trees from sweet nightingales,
You cast off my chains; you set me free, through true eyes, now I see.
Each dawn I give thanks I am free! Thank you, Lord from the real me.
Thank you for my mind and heart and trusting me from the start.
For the sun, the moon, the stars, and all your creatures who take part.
Also for things in me once damaged, now mending a new start.
To live this life, day to day, with the minimum of fuss-
We believe in many things, that the joys of life bring us.
From majestic mountains, to the tiniest of bugs,
Wondrous bountiful God, created these for poetry.
I am sending GOOD energy, to my friends, and hugs.
My thanks are carried on waves over the November seas.
To friends from afar who grace my life with comfort and ease.
One unending relationship with God and His wonderful love...
Four sons, the gifts given to me from Heaven high above,
I am so thankful to be gifted with so many different things.
And being healthy under loving angel's caring wings
One great blessing: I begin to see the world was more than me.
Methodical. Prodigal. More logical, I found the great light love.
Within our thankful hearts today, a prayer is softly said,
Blessing all who join with us as we eat and share our bread.
Our lives are enriched by family and friends that we love.
With grateful hearts, we thank our generous Father above.
The wonders of your world, Lord, Earthbound and on the wing,
Our hearts are filled with happiness for every blessed thing.
So, thank you, Lord for everything that upon us you bestowed.
Especially for your love dear, Lord that bountifully has flowed.

Stork flights in unison To teach unity to every person

Holding the neck extended Aligning the body as if amended

With legs pushed behind To cope with blowing wind

With wide wingspan like the glider In a well-defined order

With the flame of foresight, Stork sets own nest on height

Bears young ones into the wing Benevolently while growing

With wings, provides shade to the young chick So that they could learn to pick

Causes to clatter to communicate About the impending threat, to indicate

Cares the mother, with fresh feed As the mother may need

Sweet Potatoes For Thanksgiving CONTEST

CONTEST "Giving Thanks"

Sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving,
And laughter for Christmas....

I always overate and was still hungry,
      -for my family.

Others have a hard time comprehending,
The intense love that we share.
It's few and far between,
So consecrated and rare.

I guess it's like the cool crisp breeze,
That fills your lungs in the fall,
And it's the warmth of hot coco,
While watching college football.

It's the affectionate smell of daisies,
Walking slowly into May,
The constant drip of sweat,
Creating summer castaways.

It's constant, safe and sure,
It's unconditional, free and holy,
Gratefulness fills up our hourglass,
As our hearts connect so slowly.

Blood and laughter,
Keys to places we all can go to,
Understanding and unconditional patience,
Of what we are each going through.

How am I so blessed,
How can this not be a dream,
Fantasy world, so sincere...
We make the perfect team.

We've all been born into each other,
So intense and unreal,
For we all have grown together,
God must have known how we would feel,
When He chose my father and mother,
So fresh and free, so undiscovered.

Sacred holy love,
Full of grateful appreciation,
We will live for years to come,
Passing the love onto each generation.

Sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving,
And a grateful life worth living.

Thank you

Thank you – Zamreen Zarook

Thank you is a sweet word in the nature,
You may be a guy of adventure,
May be you are a person of agriculture,
What matters is your architecture.

Never forget the people, who guided you,
In no degree neglect who were with you,
Don’t ever overlook a creature, who gave a smile to you,
Because, you will meet them above you.

People forget the past due to selfishness,
They have no time to remember their unawareness,
Society, most of the times behave in awfulness,
They will understand when their lives come in to bitterness.

Be a person to thank and remember,
Don’t consider them as December,
Because, you might need them in November,
So, always be as a good subscriber.

ANOTHER YEAR WITH YOU Unto the night sky, I see a lace of stars twinkling bright and far beyond the moon with a grin of mystique light I welcome the thought that two nights from now, year 2015 will knock and greet upon my door... Father God, wow! I can't help to be thankful! All those bumps and struggles this 2014 whew! I am so thankful that You carried me through... I have no doubt that it has been always YOU who is there with me, guiding and listening to me. Through, people all around me... see... a child's smile that melts my heart.. my mama's strong voice that toughens me... my papa's jokes that drew a giggle in me... the greetings and hugs of friends all around to the challenging remarks from some reminds me always that You are just within my reach... How can I forget Your presence when each day I wake up... I behold and have the privilege to enjoy Your creation... from the serene puffy cotton clouds on blue skies, from the warmth sprayed by Mr. Sunshine even the pricking sweats falling unto my brows... from the colony of ants align to gather their food, to the sweet smell of flowers, to the dew kissing the leaves to the moving fishes I perceive on clear waters to the soaring flight of birds... these and others reminds me of Your dear presence... :)! I am so glad that You are within my life. Unseen but always felt within minutes of a heartfelt prayer. Unheard but always on time on answering every uttered appeal... Can't help to be teary eyed when I remember those daily miracles You let me experience; those revelations You letting me witness; those trials and storms in which by remaining in You, I won! Giving me further reason to thank You and give back to You all the things You are doing to me... Young at twenty-eight they say, but I thank You that despite what has been I can say I am blossoming better in every way because my earnest pursuit of Your will in my life. I am all challenged and being bent by Your living words. I am all being convicted too when I do falter but I am so grateful for Your gift of mercy. Hence, I make it a point to do more, more and more, for myself and above all to others to which You always said that indeed by loving and extending help to others, I am also loving You... It is not by merely praying, nor attending a daily mass or service nor lifting my hands to praise You nor singing and dancing in-front of Your altar nor handing my tithes or offering that I am indeed praising and worshiping You but... but... It is by sharing the experience of You loving me to others and so with Your creations is the best way. And even loving and praying that You will bless and touch those who persecutes me. I thank You Father God for a wonderful year and I am looking forward for another year with YOU. Forever grateful and forever in seek of You, God, more and more. ©O. E. A Prayer For Strength To Be Yourself

It's hard doing something different.
It's difficult staying yourself.
In a world so accustomed to conformity,
It feels nearly impossible to be unique
As the one He created you to be.
How do we find the strength?
How do we find the courage?
How do we find the bravery?
Where do we defeat fear?
Well, He's hanging on The Cross
Giving life to you and me.
Thank You Jesus!
Let us not forget
With Christ,
Nothing is impossible,
For with God,
All things are possible!
Thank You Father!
Thank You!
We give our lives to You!
We are Yours!
Praise You forever
And forevermore!
In Jesus' Name,
We pray,

Let's Praise the Lord

Let’s praise the Lord!
All you people of the land!
Let’s praise him with every
Instrument we have on hand!

Let’s shout praises to his
wonderful name!
A message of rejoicing,
we need to proclaim!

Let’s come before him,
with love from our hearts!
This is where a victorious
life really starts!

Let’s bring him our thanks
and appreciation!
And sing of his tender mercy
and wondrous salvation!

Let’s bring him a heart filled
With hope and cheer!
The coming of the lord,
is so very near!

We bless the father, the spirit
and son!
Through the blood of Jesus,
we have overcome!

Some Day

Someday, you will know that
  I loved you even through,
I had to leave so fast I never
  wanted it this way.

Someday, you will know that
  my heart broke in to
un repairable pieces that day
no super glue can mend it.

Someday, you will know that
  the rain drops that fall
down from the sky above are
  my tears of losing you.

Someday, you will know that
  I never stopped thinking of
you both, I went to Parks
looking for you all the time.

Someday, you will know that
I fought so hard to find you
guys and tried to get you back,
but I could not find you anywhere.

Someday, you will know that
  I never forgot you ever.
Every Holiday, every Birthday
  my heart crumbled even more.

Someday, you will know that
  the things said about me
were untrue by the people who
  were suppose to protect you.

Someday you will know that
   I missed your growing up
and I miss you now seeing you
   as grown adults with family.

Some day, you will know that
   the ocean holds the many
tears I cried over losing the two
of you I thought I would drown.

Someday, you will know that
God never wanted it to this way.
He wanted us to be a family but it
   wasn't possible.

Someday, you will know that
   I told everyone I had 2
handsome Sons who got in the
middle of a battle that wasn't theirs.

Someday, you will know that
I am and always will be
your Mother and we are bonded
   together by blood.

Someday, you will know that
I had to let you go because it
was in your best interest at the time.
It had been taken out of hands.

Someday, You will know that
things happen and we are not
to question why but just to accept
and never stop looking and loving.

Someday, you will know that
no matter what they said to
you about me I always Loved you.

Someday, you will know that
I have never been the seem
with out in my life but never for get
you are and forever my Sons.

Someday, you will know that
I kept your baby books and the
cards you made for me so long ago.
That I am so Proud of you both.

Someday, you will know that
you know, you were, you are
and always be loved, missed and
    welcome in my someday.

***This Holiday Season I wrote this Poem for my 2 Sons as
a Dedication to what they mean to me! This is for my
Sons and their Families on this Thanksgiving 2010.
I love you always,
  your Mom forever more,

My Picture Frame

In my picture frame, I count nine
Standing neatly in a row
Two are hers and two are mine
And that accounts for four

Two others are a lady and me
Two pastors make it eight
And that is all that there should be
I count nine – but wait

The ninth one is Christ Jesus
A reflection from His picture on the wall
It's as if He's there to bless us
As we answer to His call

We are there to join two families
So they all shall be as one
And live together in close harmony
After all is said and done

That was eighteen years ago
We're so glad Christ Jesus came
To join us all together
And be in my picture frame

	Curtis Moorman
	24 November 2011

This is a picture of my wedding day 18 years ago when two families were joined
together in the sight of our Heavenly Father to become one family with Him as
the focal point. That union is still intact today with five (soon to be six) additions.
Writing this poem on Thanksgiving day gives me great pleasure as I give Thanks
and Praise to the One who made it possible.

Thanksgiving Day

Think of how it could have been
how you made it through my friend
all the heart ache that was shared
never alone as your burdens they bared
know that everytime you faltered
someone was kneeling at an altar
giving love the best way they knew
in constant prayer all while you grew
vain were there attempts to keep you down
insecurities as we looked all around
nearer my God to thee was your prayer
give him your love and he'll always be there
Day in and day out be thou my guide
and shelter me from my own pride
you will be my God forever by my side

The Puzzle

I don't have all the pieces together;
This puzzle is just too much,
But God already has it figured out
As He is solving this from above.

Jesus, Please Take Over Me

You've fallen down again;
How can you let darkness win?
You just scraped your knee,
You didn't break your leg.
It will all be okay;
I will give you strength.
Brush it off, my child;
Come and take my hand.
Let me help you up again;
You will be okay.
I have always been with you,
And I always will be.
I am by your side,
But this time,
Will you allow me to take the lead?
