It Matters Not

It hovers here, a moon opaque, obscuring mountain trails I take. No other living things appear. A moon opaque. . . It hovers here. I follow on along a ledge; below a swirling river’s edge. In front of me, the canyon’s yawn. Along a ledge, I follow on. I see no hue when fog congeals. Oh, doom of one who no more feels! The moon has fled, as so have you. When fog congeals, I see no hue. Now all is dim; it matters not. My dear one’s heart I have not got. No use in living without him. It matters not. Now all is dim. At peace I’ll be if I should fall to murky water from this wall. Oh, yawning canyon, swallow me. If I should fall, at peace I’ll be. Bleeding Love

Introducing: Jan Allison & Poet Destroyer

Pierced by shards of shattered glass
Deeper and deeper you stab me
With lies and venomous words
Dissecting my heart piece by piece
Crushed like the petals of a withered rose
I’m dying …
Scarlet blood seeps into my very soul
    Drip
       Drip
          Drip
Into pieces and a bloody mess
I sacrificed secrets;
Secrets you tore and tore,
Gracing a fake friendship,
Trust tossed like a sweaty towel
Now karma a poisonous snake
You plea ...
To be on death row, decomposing
Dripping into the night -- Silently
fading and fading
Stung by my viper lips,
     smiling
        grinning
           laughing
Until you are no more

Forbidden Love

Is it possible that an angel and a demon could fall in love?
And, remain soul mates for all eternity?
Yes, and I will tell you how it happened.

Maybe, it was a miracle that they met
or maybe it was just meant to be.
That an angel fell out of heaven and a demon escaped from hell
on the very same day.
They saw no one, but each other.
Yet, neither had ever seen such a creature.

The angel was beautiful and kind.
This angel had fallen from heaven
a place of light and life, and of hope and peace.

The demon was imperfect and shy.
This demon had escaped from hell
a place of darkness and death, and of despair and pain.

When they met, their eyes met.
And without a spoken word.
The angel saw only tenderness and hurt in this lost demon.
The demon saw only compassion and love in this lost angel.

It did not matter to them if one had wings, and the other had horns.
Yet, they saw themselves within each other.
Even though they were from two different worlds.
They embraced each other.
Though, they knew their love was forbidden by others like themselves.
So, they decided to remain here on earth.
Where their bond could not be broken.

The heart of the angel was no longer filled with loneliness and longing.
The heart of the demon was no longer filled with torment and sorrow.
Love is what they both were searching for.
And it was found on that very same day.
A forbidden love, everlasting for all eternity.

I dreamed a dream of You

Yesterday I dreamed a dream,
that had no end.
You in your white gown, and long, black hair flowing.
You were calling my name.
I heard you, but I couldn't reach you!

And when I say your soul was tainted.
You went out in the night life.
You dressed in your black, evening ball gown.
You danced till the Red Sun came out, over the horizon.

You smiled at me.
A flame in my heart burned red hot!
My knees and hands shook with nerves;
Nerves of love and joy.
I blew you a kiss,
but you turned away!
Oh, please don't turn away from me,
for I would die, if it happened again!

Your beautiful and golden heart showed me the truth.
The truth that every gentleman wants to hear.
I've seen you walk the streets,
in the blue dawn of August.
As I followed you, you stopped and looked at me.
You smiled so beautifully, and my heart fluttered into oblivion!

You walked with your friends and I went my way.
I couldn't find a single trace of you that day.
I cried out "Why did I leave her like this?!"
I looked for you, all over the courtyards and town squares!
Yet no sight of your beauty.
... No sight of your golden heart, that I hold so dear to mine.
Where did you go?
Why did you leave?
Why did I leave... that is the question!

I should have stayed by your side,
till the ends of time.

Yet I had left.
Why...?

One gloomy and parish midnight.
I came along a road,
and soon found myself in front of a wayward cafe.
Smiling faces all around me.
I spotted a beautiful face that outstood all the other faces around me.
It was yours.

Your face brought me to sanity and I went over too you!
You spotted me and tried to run!
I caught you in the dirty hallway and pulled you in.

Our eyes met and I fell in love once again.
Sanity re-entered my mind, body and soul.
I kissed you and you kissed back.
You held my hand, and we left the cafe and walked down the street.

The street was gloomy, yet we together brightened the dark street.
We went back to the lit up city streets, of the lands filled with smiling faces,
and we fell in love and slept together.

You lay there in my restless arms and I gave you a sweet kiss,
upon your sweet and soft head.
Your dark hair was sweet smelling and felt of silk.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep with you,
there in my arms and we dreamed together
till the morning came and woke me up,
and took you away from my weak and weary arms.

I dreamed a dream of you.

Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Wayward Child

Ah, memory is a fickle lover succumbing to the tide
grasping for the grains of sentiment sometimes left.
In cold or torrid waves, spent passions now abide
for you have left me, long ago, I'm now, alone bereft.

Grasping for the grains of sentiment sometimes left:
beside a roaring bonfire, where sparks on night winds glide;
for you have left me, long ago, I'm now alone, bereft.
I huddle in a dune's dark shade with nothing left inside.

Beside a roaring bonfire, where sparks on night winds glide,
we conceive a wayward child, a changeling child, a thief.
I huddle in a dune's dark shade with nothing left inside,
as the waves of age and ages, return only grief.

We conceive a wayward child, a changeling child, a thief.
In cold or torrid waves, spent passion now abides,
as the waves of age and ages, return only grief,
ah, memory is a fickle lover succumbing to the tide.

You Know I Love You

Winds may howl,
Wild animals growl,
The forest grows cold,
For I am lonesome and old
As the sun peaks through the clouds,
I hear your soft, young voice so loud!
And though you speak dead man's lines,
You speak them with majesty divine
As I am wrapped in my woe,
I only want you to know...
...that roses die black and violets lose blue,
But I will never die
And you know I love you!

The Rose

Once bloomed a rose so young and fair
With dark brown eyes and long black hair

Beside her be a tall dark tree
Whose branches stretch to smother thee

Too close beside the shadowy bark
That soon begins to leave its mark

She cries for help, but none shall hear
Her thorns too sharp, who’d dare go near?

To save this rose, who’d risk their life?
With naught to gain but pain and strife

Alone, afraid, she lays to rest
Her heart beats low inside her chest

And with the hour growing near
She sheds her final grieving tear

And so the rose soon falls asunder
Her final day, eternal slumber

She lies beside the old dark tree
The only one who mourns for thee

A Single Soul Cries Out

A Single Soul Cries Out

Across this barren lake my ghost did sail
lost and heading straight into another hell
Behind, remnants of a dark and wayward past
treasures stored that shall never last

Sunny skies ever looking down upon me
joined by those memories soul sought to flee
No wind to send my ghost sailing right along
on the shore images of a faceless throng

So far ahead a welcoming sandy white beach
forever racing farther and farther from my reach
No deeds to perform to gain my deep reprieve
only memories of those I so easily did deceive

Within this lonely lake a single Soul cries out
forgive me , forgive me , in a wailing shout!

Robert Lindley

note: Once a man raced about all alone,
stumbled upon a rolling stone,
fell into a headlong dismay,
gathered the courage to just pray,

Words that did by faith then atone,
soon the condemnation was forever gone..

Medusa's Love

Medusa’s Love

Medusa is a hideous and vile creature of Grecian yore.
Medusa, once a high priestess in the Temple of Athena,
Suffered Athena’s unforgiving wrath for violating her
Sacred temple as she and Lord Poseidon made love there.

Medusa’s Love entices all of her naive human victims,
Up to that special mesmerizing moment of her icy shock,
As they end up unwittingly gazing into her evil, hellish
Eyes and their bodies harden and turn to stone forever.

You can never trust those Gods who relish in making
The plight of mortal man more challenging on Earth.
Once a perfect paragon of radiant female pulchritude,
Athena transformed Medusa into this mythic monster.

As if this life isn’t frightening enough, with the advent
Of Halloween Eve and the cold, dark nights preceding it;
Medusa’s restless spirit as this grotesque Gorgon can be
Conjured from her lair at the entrance to the Underworld.

From the hissing and viperous serpents adorning her head,
To the ever-present shaking death rattle of her reptilian tail;
Medusa’s sneering and unholy visage paralyzes her victims
As her fiery and demonic eyes bring them a stone cold death!

Locked in a Jar

Does the one who loves you know who you are?
She needs a real man not just a facade.
Don't keep your heart locked away in a jar.

Not being open she'll think you're a fraud.
She longs to share every part of herself.
She needs a real man not just a facade.

Your heart is out of reach on that old shelf.
Where she can see it but it's out of reach.
She longs to share every part of herself.

But you hold onto her just like a leach.
In the glass jar it looks so very clear.
Where she can see it but it's out of reach.

If you open it what is there to fear?
Are there dark spots you don't want her to see?
In the glass jar it looks so very clear.

Is it that you're afraid that she will flee?
Why won't you reveal every part of you?
Are there dark spots you don't want her to see?

There are some good men, be one of the few.
It's time to reveal every part of you.
Help the one who loves you, know who you are.
Don't keep your heart locked away in a jar.

Chasing the Dark

Somewhere in the languid night I'll chase the dark to find you…. Do you search a distant sky this lonely hour? There are lights upon the trail, where I have gathered the stars, The moon will be a candle- while darkness frees you With the friendship of the night I tread the dark in silence- moon and stars my companions, until I find you

In A Darkened Attic Room

In A Darkened Attic Room

In attic room, one window tightly shut,
Dwells broken heart hidden from future pain.
Bare as a savage brute's empty hut-
Condemned to no hope, no future, no gain.

Where rests such perilous fear darkness reigns;-
Shattered dreams give rise to dark illusions.
Hope rejected brings on its most wicked stains,
Evil held, births its blackest conclusions.

Grown in decay until nothing remains,
Yet sad hope is better than none at all.
True love waits the bliss it always contains,
Treasures gifted, one only has to call.

If one ray of love's light but filters in
Love brings life and its promises again.

dark surrender

for days he follows a man dressed in black eyes fathomless pools
I feel his yearning his hunger and I am smitten curious
dreading him yet he enthralls me to surrender-
confusion fear overwhelms me he is breathing oh desire
in his room whispering my name . . .

his voice a deep baritone demanding terrifying
those fathomless eyes look down at me I am lost I pull him close
he strokes my flowing raven hair his eyes cold as ice
daggers to my soul love(or hate) lust passion possession
he wants to control me and violently he crushes my ruby red lips
with a demanding kiss and then the kiss is beautiful
words evil he is need lust he says vile things

oh those dark fathomless eyes go away come back I love you
he wraps his arms around me we are spinning and swirling lost in love
for how long are we locked in that embrace it seems like days
then he stops his smile is mean and cruel he laughs
I am nothing without his kiss I am a love hostage held in chains
and when he turns away I weep for him and hate myself
dark this lust I MUST find the strength to leave

there is no sweetness this is WRONG lost as his fathomless eyes
must get away must find the courage to walk away leave leave
I hear the door close and quickly dress the rooms smell mouldy
finding the door I turn the knob it is locked
and I am screaming . . .

Before The Gates Of Alahsar - 1

"Before The Gates Of Alahsar."
By,
Vladislav Raven.
Full Version.
Bardic Style.
The Time Before Time.

Chapter....1....Part....1....1.

Comest now mine Lords and Ladies, lifteth up thine ears and listen clear,
The ancient tale of the dream land, Alahsar, layeth before thee.
Looketh now in mind's eye, seeeth the golden gates to peaceful shrine,
They standeth in wonder, a city of joy and peace, a most ancient Jewel.
I thy Bard, I standeth before thee, mine words are ready to sing,
Mine beating heart of truth doth beat the cadence as mine heart doth speak.
Oh Alahsar thy dream forever sung, I layeth it forth, ancient words,
Comest now mine Lords and Ladies, Listen to the tale mine heart doth tellest.

Never hadst there been dark in Alahsar's jeweled kingdom,
The sky afire with a golden glow in a night of lightened twilight,
All night this sun wouldst lieth low In the sky, a golden glory,
This light of Love ever toucheth the beating heart of Alahsar.
The sun doth sparkle off golden pinnacles and minarets bejeweled,
The sun kisses gold so gently and golden light doth live,
Mine Lords and Ladies, such a display of dazzling light effects,
Forth did cometh the rainbows of dream's desire.

Upward ran the virgin white stone dwellings of the city,
They didst tower to such heights, reaching for the heart of Heaven.
Open thy minds to the vision and seeeth, upward, upward, ever upward,
Atop the great city a golden palace, how that glory did shineth.
This was a golden beacon to all that Alahsar didst live,
The city of dream in its golden coat arrayed didst sing dream's song.
From the golden gates below to the golden palace atop, peace and joy did reign,
I givest thee Alahsar, the city of dream constant, the dream sings.

On the first level the dwellings of Alahsar's mighty armies,
Of the most sumptuous furnishings they were arrayed.
Seeeth within thy minds soldiers dressed in such regal splendour,
Those on duty walketh proudly from dwellings to parapet wall.
They all knoweth nights of passion in rooms of silken beauty,
Primal passion emits its sighs and screams into the night.
Communal wash areas were to the rear of these dwellings,
They were behind high walls, built into the rock itself.

Before The Gates Of Alahsar - 9

Moveth along and reacheth the plain as lightning bolt striketh ground,
Joineth with he who cometh from the storm, enter the gates with a mighty one.
Still, ever they journey on, they turn left following the river bend,
Now the track through the trees must be taken,They couldst do this,
The quickest way to reacheth the bridge and therefore the plain of Badicha,
Onto the emerald green of the track the Captain did leadeth,
Now in the closest proximity all wouldst be, holdeth heads up high,
The test of the Knights and their steeds would now cometh.

Now they seemeth to quicken their pace a little, these brave knights,
This is not the time for pomp, it is time for to meeteth he who comes.
Forth knights of Alahsar thy duty for to be fulfilled,
Ride ever onward ye brave knights for glory thou shalt meeteth,
Upon the plain of Badicha a Dark Man to joineth, up thy pace,
The son of the storm cometh forth for the revel..
The memories of wars long ago, victories fulfilled, honour taken,
Ride on brave knights, ride on, thou shalt meeteth him on Badicha.

Now, once more, the mists of time close over DreamScape,
The vision be now gone from our eyes my lords and ladies,
Yet soon the jewel shalt returneth for our eyes to see,
We shalt seeeth once more the way to Dreamscape openeth.
Our tale from the time before time shalt begin to singeth again soon,
The son of the storm himself shalt soon be with us, the song lives,
Now the thoughts must focus before our tale progresseth,
The song of Alahsar is just touched, there is more to be told.

Chapter...1 Part...1...5.

We now returneth to Golden Alahsar my lords and ladies,
The mists of time dissipate and glory cometh to us.
Once again we soareth on high as the song of Alahsar cometh forth.
Charge the horns and let us returneth to the jewel named Alahsar.
Now, oh mighty ones, let us returneth to the glorious storm,
Mighty now is the storm played out in Alahsar’s skies.
There is no war, this is but a mother that leteth forth her son,
The son of the storm now ready to descend to the earth.

Black Rain

~BLACK RAIN~

Another rainy stormy night,
nothing will ever feel the same.
Thunder makes me fear with fright,
Theirs no way to call your name.
To be alone is no delight,
here I am alone with shame.
It runs trough me like day and night,
lonesome here for playing my game.
I wish you were here to hold me real tight.
Forgive me for I am the only one to blame.

A darken rainy stormy night!
Here I whither away in the BLACK RAIN!
In that selfish moment, I did not realize,
all I was doing was causing myself pain.
You took and shook me with a big surprise!
And, showed me that my cheating had nothing to gain.
With you in distance I lose myself,
sitting all alone in the BLACK RAIN.

BLACK RAIN, BLACK RAIN!
Please stop the pain, it's my love I want to gain.

Tears from me you wouldn't take.
It was my fault to take the fall.
It does not mean my love to you was fake.
Without you I feel real small.
The hurt runs deep~Deeper than a lake!
The hurt runs high~Higher than the tallest wall!
The hurt is heavy~something you can't shake!
The hurt is like a mystery~you can't solve at all!
BLACK RAIN!
How this cloud passes my days,
I have no one to blame
If I knew exactly what to say,
I would not be feeling all this pain.
BLACK RAIN,
is here to stay!
I have lost what took long to gain.

BLACK RAIN, BLACK RAIN,
please go away!
I want my lover to come back my way.

Cry In The Dark

As you cry in the dark and your tears find the pillow
You think I don't know, those tears filled with such sorrow
Are for that long ago love, then comes tomorrow
I wish for today, your heart I could borrow

Dreams filled with the memory of her face
Wisps of her hair, visions of ribbon and lace
The look in her eyes, another time and place
I wish this from your mind, I could forever erase

But war time came and took you away
And never knowing your fate, day after day
Time took its toll, as time will do
She went on with life, her life without you

As I cry in the dark and my tears find the pillow
You'll never know, these tears filled with such sorrow
Are those longing for love, again comes tomorrow
I wish for today, your heart I could borrow

Zodiac Zombie

She cries comets of burning ice
rocketing through a wilderness of bleeding rubies
her constellation, Anaconda, the 13th Sign, drinker of soul wine,

Her cheeks permafrosted with white agony
the accumulation of eons without the lips of her Man's love mercy,

When the word WHY becomes an acronym
for What Have You,
When knowledge of loss is your only gain,
When questions and answers no longer serve a frantic heart
rebellion is the necessary blessing of love becoming beast,
When everything sacred seems destin to be violated
and reborn as a beautiful monster
she became, the Zodiac Zombie,
her heart a super nova explosion,
a demoness on the breath of Death's delay
hunting hearts born through her Star House,
asphyxiating the affection of all who incarnate through her system,
feeding on the veins of fresh obsession, of virgin devotion,

Legend has it that she births the great Poets and Rebels
for their passion is unparalleled in pride and sweet sacrafice,
she is the Zodiac Zombie, Queen of the Black Sea, Goddess of love bleeding -

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

Fate On The Feathers

When I met you in the language of lonely war
three feathers fastened to your breast breathing sore
many graves of gentlemen knew your score and the devil deigned for more,
tears you had for all times rhymes and ribs broke from crimes making aching lore,
ink of fire you did pour, scold and scorch on skin red soft, truly poetry the maze and metaphor,

A feather you gave with each kiss and wound to savor
their texture smooth as silken vapor, tips cut cruel by sibyl's saber,
quills and spells I made of them, heaven and venom in every lash and letter
when love was innocent, revolutionary, rampant with rogue fight, rapid on soul river
with hawk's edge I wrote with might and flight, dominant on the flesh of firmament's blue leather,

Where the owl's point pierced the vellum of victory's scripture
antebellum affections covered our eyes with wings of damp wisdom and cool color,
together we took the touch of roses and razors, feeling the sting and arousal of friendly danger
as the nights knew more than days, secrets grew sweeter, dreams bolder, howls heavy and louder,
our zenith reached the zone quiet calm black, a raven's stem sealed the song of sleeping stranger -

A Soul Awakened

She is the muse to her own sorrow; She is the digger of her grave. She is the painter of her ocean view and every fatal wave. She is the shadow of her Father; She is the darkness in your sight. She is the night without the stars surrounding pale moonlight. She is the music with no words; She is sweet love without the reason. She is your dreamer with submission cold by warmth with every season. She is your pet with cold intentions; She is your baby scared and shaken. She is the bold and pure- the lost and found, She is a soul awakened.

It Can't Be Real

A truth in rage of insult furrows my mind
For it is only an offense given to me by myself
In the mouths of others far innocent than I
I feel the tears trickle down my cheeks
For I have surfaced into an ugly mistake
I am always inadequate in this brain
I try to shine like the advice of grace given
But confidence rarely rears its head my way
There’s a sort of shade blocking its way
A shade that darkens everyday

That very shade led me to believe my feelings are wrong
That I will never belong so long as they are not controlled
I must be careful—for the lines of love and lust run cold
I hate myself truly this night
And no one but myself will give me the right
The very right to degrade my every being
Because you are not seeing what I am seeing

There is no point
My lines run cold
Can I be so bold as to say
I still love with a pang of indistinguishable doubt
All feelings enter in
As my truth blurs and checks out

Your words pierce me so deep
I cannot describe the pain I feel
God it hurts so bad
It can’t be real

Much like the love I have come to embrace
The very love that links to your face
Tears don’t give it justice

It can’t be real
Much like the love I will never face

Is It Worth It

Love can seem so happy and so wonderful
But it can hurt and take away from life too
You make me so happy and make me feel so special
But then you turn around and make me feel like ****
love can turn you into a whole new person
But you could change into to something great or something no one wants
Love seems so wonderful at first
But spending my days not knowing if you want me or even care for me is agonizing
Sometimes i feel like your lying to me but if i say that then you'll get mad again
Your such a loose cannon, ready to burst with rage and tears
Love is so temperamental
so can you tell me.......
Is It Worth It?

The kiss worth dying for

Light looks at darkness, in his ear she whispers,
'we are not meant to be together, we're different'
walking away, she sheds a bright tear,
he tries holding it but it trickles down his skin,
forgets that darkness cannot hold light within,
she smiles from a distance and obliquely speaks,
words, lost, but the pain he reeks,
he looks at the tear that she had shed,
the hole it had made in his palm had now fled,
he looks above, she shines at a distance,
though he cannot hold her, he can feel her existence,
this thought enlightens the dark,
he runs towards her, footsteps darker than chark

Darkness looks at light, in her ear he whispers,
'we are meant to be together, we're different'
coming closer, he sheds a dark tear,
she holds it, it glows bright and vanishes,
remembers that light can only exist,
when there is darkness, a bit, to resist,
he smiles from near and firmly speaks,
'i know that if you touch me, then i will die
but dying in your arms would be the sweetest goodbye'
the tear that had vanished, never returns,
she looks at him, his love she learns,
they kiss and thus they recombine
he vanishes into oblivion, the sweetest way of dying.

Yesterday's Pain Still Fresh

Forever, our love lingers in the air all around -
The smell of fresh paint lingers in my nose, in the air.
Crisp sheets lay smooth untouched with hospital corners.
I dreamt I held you in our bed.
A king-sized bed is too big for one.
Wedding gifts are strewn across our dining room table.
I dreamt we ate there together as man and wife -
candlelit dinners and meals with laughing children.
Dreams that will never come true.
(I dread the nights, long hours alone pass slowly.)
A family room quietly sits alone without a family.
(I wrestle sleep in fear of dreams darker than my loss.)
A yard waits outside for a garden that will never be planted.
(I forget the day, the month, even the year
                                            you left without warning,)
Nothing is as it seems; only my flowing tears are real tonight.
(but oh, how in the darkness, I remember too well the moment,
down to the second of my silent screams -)
Forever love lingers in the air all around –
(twisted thoughts, face contorted)
A new home, a new marriage, but one of us is only here in spirit.
(in pain like no other pain I had ever felt
while holding what once was you.)
Only one returned from our honeymoon…
In light of day, I turn to stone.
I wish it was me who died that dark night.
(Then, night comes haunting me like a ghost)
The doctors said nothing could be done.
(too weighted with evil to rise.)
A silent death stole you from sleep and me
while I slept next to you.
(Behind closed lids, I am the torero impaled by satan’s horns)
Nothing could be done…a beginning and an end.
(searching for God in the final breath)
Forever love lingers in the air all around –
(Again, screams cannot escape from my choking lungs.)
Now our dream home is for sale. The dream is gone.
(My heart breaks like shattered glass)
I cannot bring myself to sleep in our bed
so I make up the couch tonight….again.
(the shards racing – tearing through my veins.)
My heart calls out for you; my arms reach out for you.
(Red eyed and weary I wait for a hollow sun to harden my heart again.)
Life changes in a moment.
(I would rather be numb than suffer through tortures of night.)
I taste your lips on mine.
I smell you, see you, hear your voice whispering my name.
Forever love lingers in the air all around. –
(I dread the nights, long hours alone pass slowly.)
Your touch lingers tonight...
with the smell of fresh paint.

Her Dark Facade

She wears a dark façade - a charcoal grey once hot like burning coals. Consumed by too much passion she was scorched. Too long she has smoldered. Her dark façade is cold now. . . and brittle. She fears that if you touch her she’ll crumble. Written 10/30/12 By Andrea Dietrich For Nette Onclaud's VIEWS FROM A VIGNETTE Poetry Contest

Love poem for a witch

My love
we celebrate your birth
on this night of Sanhaim
when the worlds are whisper-thin
and your magic sings its sweetest song.

Your love draws stars from the sky
lures spirits from the tombs
snow falls from the summer sky
a love so sacred and magical.

Let us meet
surrounded by forest
as the wind
whispers its secret to the trees
we seek the sacred creek
leading to the river that caresses the earth
where flowers rise in rapture to the sun.

This day I am yours
you are mine
we are inseparable in death
by any power or pain
for it is such true love
no death awaits us.

Come with me my love
come back to the one
feel my spirit and take flight
let us see all of creation
let us seek favor from the divine.

God and goddess we shall become
gods of true and powerful devotion
let us be graced
by the moon goddess
by the dragon of the stars
allowing us to burn hot with passion.

Let us draw from the power of the earth
alive and solid
beneath our feet
fertile valley of existence
all our wants and needs
will be satisfied.

Embrace this love
blessed be
your feet
your knees
your womb
your breasts
your lips
blessed be your soul.

My sweet love scented by jasmine
I seek you on the silver slant of moonlight
beautiful moon goddess
your magic is all enthralling
I succumb to your witches cry
I come to your lair softly lit
your Wiccan pattern on the floor to guide me
save me from the river of flames
with the manifestation of your desires
for in you my lover
I am charmed...
