Spring Forward

Spring Forward

A helical "Slinky" type coil
Compresses or springs without toil,
It’s spiral at times,
Or stretched to the nines...
Like worms that are happy in soil!

Beneath or on top of the ground,
They stretch, but so often lie wound,
Their tunnels air earth
To make healthy dirt
And seedlings are glad they’re around!

when he leapt from his bed with a spring
the golden ring in his -

Gardening time, everybody

Now that spring has arrived on the scene
to get out in the garden I'm keen
can't let one more day pass
without cutting the grass
since the light through my window is green!

A spring was made and then consigned
In spiral form to serve mankind.
   There's tension in the shape,
   It's aching to escape
From python hold and then unwind.

Spring Forward 2

There once was a seed in the ground
Waiting for Spring to come around
Her patience gave way
Came up anyway
Now she is frozen to the ground

Spring Forward

There once was a buff metal coil
whose gal was aluminum foil.
She was his sunshine.
He sprang for the wine,
all's swell 'till they run out of oil.

There once was a girl named Bo
Her dad did not like her beau
So one day they eloped
But Bo’s dad dashed their hope
He sprang from behind with bolo.

Spring Hunting

In springtime the rabbits in our canyon
Produce with prolific abandon
Our dogs take up chase
To hunt down post haste
But never can catch up or bag one.

Ground Hog Day

Ground Hog Day We know every year comes the day We see if our Winter will stay… The Ground Hog will show By shadow we’ll know If we can put snow gear away. If he sees his shadow at all Then Winter will stay here on call… No shadow means great! Spring’s right at the gate! Let’s dance and go have us a ball! However I heard from good source Phil Ground Hog will have no remorse… He will not come out You better not pout If Springtime goes far off its course! © Sandra M. Spring Forward

This winter I am so much over
I need to run out in the clover
Time for spring to forward
Maybe I'll just move shoreward
And spend my time as a fearful rover.

Spring forward

Spring forward

If he could spring in more money,
and avoid acting apparently funny,
Will see springing young buds ahead of spring,
and essence of joys that life surely does bring,
Will relish the cushion springs with his sweet honey !

Spring Forward

I can't hear, said the man to his wife
Did you say, that you're holding a knife?!

with her hands hid behind
a smile not truly kind

Lunging forward he sprang for his life!

Spring Fling

Spring Fling

In the midst of the instinct to mate
she went sniffing around for a date
and once on the scent
all her energy spent
succumbed to spring’s arduous fate

Spring Chicken

There was a spring chicken named Brewster.
He was the school’s number one booster,
      but this spring he forward-sprang
      from the girls’ room overhang.
Now he’s called - the naughty old rooster.

Spring (limerick)

Spring spring how nice of you to come
So happy all the cold and snow is done
Let's enjoy the flowers the birds and the bees
Fun things to watch like leaves grow back on trees
I love spring and I know I'm not the only one

I once knew this guy. Fred McBride
Whose wishes were sadly denied
He was wed in the spring
But before he could bring
the needs, of his wife, satisfied !

It's a shame that this groom and his bride
Purchased bedsprings, wrapped, coiled and tied
Big Fred jumping on
Bounced up and was gone !! ...
Through the ceiling, the roof, then outside !!

Poor Fred hit his head, and had died
Leaving gapes in the roof, long and wide
That bed was spring-loaded
The bride soon reloaded
her bed, ...where a roofer resides !!

Spring Time

The sun came to see us today
Does that mean spring is on it’s way
Flowers Blooming
And trees budding
Do we think it is here to stay?

What the Spring Sprung

Tonight I thought passion would bring
But not in the shape of a bed spring
The very moment I peaked
I felt what was breached
Now I am so very hampered in upswing

Spring Forward

   There was a gymnast,from Biejing
Who tried to perform the handspring
   But he took, a nosedive
   Knocking over a hive
And ended up,with a bee sting.

~Spring is sprung with songs to be sung,
  birds feather together among,
    in the apple trees,

Spring Fever

Spring is here, a great a reprise.

A gentle flower-scented breeze.

     Robins sing in roundelay.

     Flowers bloom in full array.

The buds are bursting on the trees!

Ned's Spring

There once was a Scotsman called Ned,
Who spent all his time in his bed.
He broke yet another spring,
As he danced the Highland Fling.
‘They make beds so fragile,’ he said.

Spring Forward

It’s lim’rick season again
So let the word games begin.
Everyone do it!
Please don’t eschew it.
also, no rules or chagrin.

Lad once gave fair maiden a call.
To ask her, please come to the ball.
When she answered his ring
His thing gave a spring
and pinned the poor boy to the wall.

He then gave fair maiden a ring
in the romantic season of spring.
gave her a call on the phone
said “I know how to bone”
oh how it made the lass sing.

Perhaps you’re now thinking of this
to which, I do say “boo hiss!”
He was boning his meat
and preparing to eat!
Your mind’s in the gutter—amiss.

This is the story of spring
as told by this one ding-a-ling.
So set the clock forward,
I’m always untoward
for you see, it’s kind of my thing.

To die before you die is worse then death itself.
Time doesn’t stop as you are sprung backwards.
Now you have to climb forward.
Desperately yearning to revert to your normal self.
Desperately wanting something to spring you back to where you were, happy.

Don't stack your winter clothes away,
rain or cold may return to play;
mad weather brings blues,
happy music soothes
when sunshine tricks May!
