Inner City

The bright, tall, dusk buildings glow gold
jacket pockets protecting from cold.
The tribal people dance
strange performers chance
and drums and chimes rhythmically bold.

A world of divine mystery waits
to those capable of altered states.
A state sleepily deep
for distracting thoughts sheep
making thy under tempted by debates.

Two eyes cannot see this grand place
for three are required to embrace.
The Soul breathes this air
a clear body thou wear
so as to walk with honest grace.

A world lacking an accurate clock
for emotions fly away in flock.
The flock a coward
neutrality powered
a coat of chalk being a wise block.

Want ill advised, for drawbacks hunt
if the pendulum starts, it be shunt.
Man becomes dependent
attached to a pendant
leaving the par, taking the brunt.

This sway between east, west, with no rest
no rest for the grip on desire, vest.
The farther in sway
will increase weigh
harshly punishing if want not blessed.

So sit, take rest, take sanctuary
in the breath of calm sanitary.
Untie strings to unnerve
and will to observe
human nature that's planetary.

Independence Day

Come let's celebrate the fourth of July
With baseball, hot dogs, and Mom's apple pie
We're sure to ignite
Fireworks at night
So head on over, we'll light up the sky

Not the material guy

Not the material guy

I’m not the material guy
Ambitions were never for I
I’m always the one
That gets noting done
I’m a dreamer, I cannot deny.

My mind it is not very clever
My heart is as light as a feather
My manner is free
Like a bird in a tree
And I never will worry, not ever

Just like a river I’ll flow
And always my heart it will glow
I won’t push the river
So life does deliver
A feeling that each day does grow

Until the day that I die
I won’t let a day pass me by
Without looking at me
At within, what I be
As always I’ll ask ‘Who am I?’

Asighd from Sighence

Ah, sighence, indeed quite a puzzly puzzle.
The hypothermical leaves you chilly with a muzzle.
Solvent? I think not,
Stirring up the pot,
Overflow of info, gear up you better guzzle.

The Real News

FOX NEWS had many car chases
Without seeing any faces
CNN other news
they both give me the blues
the news ignoring the races

Trilling Tray

                                                     Trilling Tray (Limerick)

Parrots have men in the palm of their hands
Through the pirated palimpsest that is from man's land
There is no point getting into panic about the tall story
Touch me if it is a wild and wacky story
But if it is worthwhile to the core, (then) hold my hands.

Lost Freedom

When did we lose our country free?
Our ancestors set rules in degree.
Now they tell us what’s good
Do what we say, understood.
Old George would cut more than a cherry tree

what does it take to be free now?
I asked god and he showed me how
he gave me a book
and told me to look
so only to him will i bow

First Fear of Freedom

             He cringes in fear, his legs wobble,  his young wings scared stiff;

                     below the nest yawns a dark, deathly chasm of  what if;

                                                   plunges into space,

                                            flaps, slows down the pace;

ah, new-found freedom of flight, across, around the home cliff !

as i sit and blink
and think
sometime wink
and not kink
to knowas i go
be free to be what i won't be
you see
there's no measure

Once upon a time Man asked God Free Will

For he thought that it would be such a thrill

God gave Man what he asked for

Then Man asked a little more:

Me, do as I please, Thee Lord, pay the bill!

"Neither did I, my friend, M.M., however I wished to stress the fact that Man asks God to do everything for him but Man on the other hand is not willing to do as much for God. I know you are a very upright critic therefore your comment is a vote of confidence that I have succeeded without revering less our LORD! Thank you, Marugu Mo, for your visit and comment!! "
