Will You Tie My Shoes When I Grow Old

You were beautiful,
my tiny child,
wrapped tightly in my arms,
close to my heart.
I listened to you breathing.
I counted your fingers
and your toes.
you cried out to me
and I loved you
with every ounce of my soul.

Will you hear me
when I cry out?
Will you hold me close
as I held you then?

I remember the day
You took your first step.
There was no stopping you.
Your feet gave you freedom
to explore the world
like never before
but danger lurked.
I opened those doors anyway,
and introduced
you to the world.
Where will you be
when my legs
no longer run?
no longer work?
Will you realize
that I love
freedom too?

I laugh
about that day
you first tied your shoe.
We tried and tried
to get that rabbit
in that hole
and you finally did it.
You pointed your toes
for everyone to see
how proud you were.

I am proud too,
of my writing
and my drawing,
of my needlework
and my cooking.
But my hands are beginning to ache
and my fingers will not bend.
I will lose the things
that make me proud
except for you.
Hopefully not you.
Will you let me
brag on you?
Even tell wild stories
that are a bit beyond the truth?
Will you be proud of me too?

I waved good-bye
that morning when you left
on that large, yellow bus.
I was so scared.
I know you were too.
You waved at me bravely
through the dusty window
but I saw the water
forming in your eyes.
You came home, however,
full of pride and joy.
You sang the alphabet song
and got most of it right.
You practiced for hours
until you could sing it
even in your sleep.

I'm afraid.
I forgot
whether I took
my pills today or not.
I forgot
if I told this story before.
I even forgot once
who you were
and it terrified me.
My mind
is my treasure
the only thing I have left,
and I heard you make
fun of me
for not remembering
that I gave you the
same gift as last year.
Will you love me
when I no longer
know who I am?

You came home blushing
from the glow of
your first kiss.
Your first love,
the one you thought was real.
You talked about him non-stop.
You changed for him. You gave.
But he left you anyway
for a blue-eyed girl
and I held you
while you cried for him.

I too have a
broken heart.
The love of my life
left me after
fifty-six years.
He left me here
to live life on my own
while he moved on
to another realm
And I cry for him too.
I long for his shoulder
and strong embrace.
I feel betrayed
because he and I
made a deal
that we would never
leave the other alone.
Yet I am alone
sitting in an echoing house
with no hands to hold.

You welcomed her home today-
your tiny baby girl.
She has your eyes
and possibly your toes.
I see you counting them
as they roll me
into the room.
You finally came
to visit.
It has been a while.

You look up at me
with tears in your eyes
and ask
almost desperately,

"Will she tie my
when I get old? "

I LOVE THEE I am no voluptuous beauty nor do I live a life of purity I can only say: I love wholeheartedly with all I am so truthfully I keep my heart open though it gets hurt so often I avoid to be irate as I know love changes the heart rate.. Guys tried to coo and woo, they say words as for "only you" Yet, hard to believe it is true as I see some untrue I give chances as my heart marks with tact entrances I learned from various instances looking man in romances In places where rules impede, two persons who wants to bid Not of money but of affection, in them must be determination I love thee not of what you have… Not even of who you are but to how you are to me… If I love you, don't tell me much what to do… As me, myself will show you, I am that real and true.. Yes, I am liked by many but tell you what: I don't like this honey nor am I proud of it in anyway One is enough to make me stay Stand with me through it all, I give my best not to fall My name your sweetest call echoing in every wall.. Hold me firm yet dear; allow me to move closely We'll make it anyhow, treading smoothly on flows... We are strong, aren't we? No one moving alone Together we'll face phases in tune, though there will dunes.. © OLIVE ELOISA D. Pledge of love and loyalty

This pledge that l,Ntando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed l am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only lie
in word alone but in action as well.

For that reason in every season
I shall show steadfast commitment
to the implementation of this pledge
with a great deal of astuteness.
I therefore commit myself to be your
devoted and delivering husband for
all the years l shall live with you
on this earth.

I shall treat you with the love and care
you deserve as my wife.
Indeed l shall treat you with
the distinction and dignity
that is befitting of the queen of my heart.
That body, that bone, that breath
shall be my mine to treasure,
for sure;
a dearness to promote and protect
for dear life…and love!
I shall stand by and with you in all the
situations of our life.
If the situation demands that we sail,
sail we shall together.
If the situation demands that we
climb we shall together.

I know very well what l am getting into:
I am getting into a marriage that is
overflowing with blessings.
This marriage- with our mutual
will stand the test of time.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
brims over with a transforming power
of love.

This marriage-with our
mutual commitment –
will transform naivety into maturity
troubles into challenges
pretence into practice
pride into progress
bachelorship into companionship.
I pledge to be your steward and partner
for all times.

I shall value the consultations
and decisions that we make as
husband and wife.
As head of the family I shall do nothing

to derail our love train for anything else
least of all for personal and selfish reasons.
Now and forever

I am your lawful and loving husband…
This pledge that l, Nothando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed I am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only
lie in pronouncements but in practice
as well.

For this reason every season
I shall demonstrate untiring love
and loyalty to you;
a love and a loyalty that is a living
embodiment of our marriage vows.
I therefore commit myself to be your
honouring, supportive and loving wife
for all the years l shall live with you.
I shall treat you with the love and care
that you deserve as my husband.
Indeed I shall treat you with
the dignity and nobility that is befitting
of the king of my heart.
On my mind it is always fresh
that I am the flesh of your flesh.
Green or grown

I am the bone of your bone.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
elevates me into a kingdom of wifehood.
I shall endevour to put my family first
with all the rights, obligations
and privileges that come with wifehood.
I shall endevour to wipe off and ward off
loneliness and lostness from our relationship,
seeking nothing but your companionship;
banking on your stewardship,
sinking together any hardship.
Since you are mine
I shall not do anything else to undermine
our relationship for personal
or egotistical
Now and forever
I am your lawful and loving wife…

I've Scribbled This Song For You

I've Scribbled This Song For You...

I'm wasting my days,
my empty nights too,

I should have held on,
but I simply lost you,

now I stagger along,

wearing broken smiles,
in between hell and you,
there's a million miles,

yes, I should have kept,
you close to my skin,

soaking your warmth,
but you were laughing,

at my foolish grin...

now I'm all broken,
and torn apart,

but what the hell,
I was always late,
for the tolling of the bell,

and now...

now I stagger along,

wearing broken smiles,
in between hell and you,
there's a million miles,

so kiss me now like you once did,
I'm tired of being so carefully hid,

la laa laa la laa laa laa...

(repeat to fade)

Rhyme XOX

I just want my summertime
To be at a stand still.
Sometimes, when women cross my mind,
I'm not sure just what to feel.

I'd like to call her friend,
And I want us to mean something.
I can find several, yet in the end,
It seems like all I have is nothing.

So where is the evidence
That says I should move forward?
Show me a sign that's heaven sent;
A point I should move toward.

Have more respect for yourself

Lord forgive me she says she is on that sophisticated wine and dine,
she says her lips are sweet, hips full bliss enough to put your mind at ease.
Damn girl where did you get those degrees.
She feigns knowledge, pledges abstinence but lets loose to the first fool she sees
Then pledges again and lets loose and the cycle continuously, continues in a loop of ignorance.
Strange you are, a woman you are,
so when will you take a stand, and understand your lips and hips...
momentary satisfactions. The ratings of your visage an illusion which fades over time.
Rude... me... no, truthful yes, knowledge is a blessing the king you seek is not
dwelling in the slums in where you hum your tunes
Lord forgive me she says she is on that sophisticated wine and dine,
she says her lips are sweet, hips full of bliss enough to put your mind at ease.
I won't beg, I won't cry so the more power to you girl, cause ignorance is truly bliss

Secretly Obsessed

Obsessed with the thought of you
wondering if it's only me or
if you sometimes remember the sweet things you've said
and if you meant them how I took them
or if I'm just obsessed with what's in your head

Obsessed with your very sentences
Every response I take personal
I know it's selfishness
Have you not noticed my eyes?
They hold secrets that only you can unlock
if you'd just take time to fill the thick juices of my pride
It's just boiling with lust, passion, trust and distrust
and other things I obsess over so much

I find myself writing to free myself from this prison I've created
where only you and I reside
I become confused about what I'm really feeling inside and I
try to rid the thoughts that are highly debated as false and I
begin to cry and
think of casting love spells so that the universe can deliver this affair
I know it's unfair
but I don't care

I'm obsessed with what hasn't happened between us
I'm obsessed with your heart and that the fact that
I don't think you've even noticed my selfish innuendos
and secret undertones that blatantly express my lust
Or maybe you have and you calmly remain in resistance of distrust
If you could only read my mind by simply touching my fingertips,
I'm sure I'd catch you out the corner of my eye biting your bottom lip
I'm obsessed with the passion and thoughts I think you have
Obsessing over an experience that I may never have....

We were more popular
When you felt lazy,
More important when
We cooked you potatoes and gravy...

To please our boys and men
We would go to any length,
Even begged for mercy
Were pillars of strength...

We are the glue to glass houses
Being abused by the hour by the day,
Even ignored or unheard of by many
But we will continue to love come what may...

Negatively spoken of around the world
And frequently pacified by our nation,
But the torch GOD placed in our hearts
Is not a symbol of accusation more of edification...

Tear us down kick us to the ground
But we will always strive for equality,
We are free women accepting nothing less
Our guardian angels fill us with spirituality...

We are women born to cease dissention
We are women not women of extinction

She Whispered

Take me
Take me within your soul
Devour me with your words
Love me with your poetic desires

You speak of times long ago
You speak of passions long since gone
You walk on roses, and bleed your love
You caress me with your tears

High in the mountains, you have no fear
All the warriors are down below
The battle is love, other men not the foe
Kiss me now, be done with your fears

I am the meadow of your earthly desires
Paint me, write of me, I am yours
Kiss the dreams you once had long ago
Angels of the past will see you through

Heaven is not an eternal place
Is a love that burns eternal
Seek not the paradise of heaven
I am here, you are now

Devour me

They are the beign of my exsistence
But I'd gladly get cut just so one of them could kiss it
When I'm around one I stop in my tracks I get so submissive
I'd like to smoke them like some gonja weed
and if you drug tested me they'd come up in my piss
When I'm underneath one I am in instant bliss
I wanna scratch them all like lottery tickets until I find the winning pick
You know what the scariest part of all of this is?
I'm not gay. Although I do stray like all dogs go to heaven
I love the way she looks at me.
She shows me things with her eyes that the mirror has never shown me.
I receive compliments from women better than I do men.
You see because women rarely compliment.
Men will tell the ugliest girl she's beautiful just to get it in.
Some people look at me like what I'm discribing is a sin.
But I'd say it's beautiful.
We only have one chance to do it all in this world.
So why not live it the way we want to live?
I get shivers when her fingers touch my body
She's perfect for me and her touch reminds me.
Its not just sex its mentally, physically and outter body.
While I was here I thought I'd let you know about my hobby.

Devils only walk straight lines...

devils' cannot go round corners'
evil cannot bend-
it is mostly found in madmen many cases
"some married men"
they all wear bare face masks,
the evil of the deciever is located
in their eyes...connected to a rotten the deceit is beating...

..."sin salivating demon"...

they are frustrated fallen women...
predators of women and children,

you can find them on your t.v
preaching Christian words,...
more lies...
the flesh of young
they love to torture,

another so called "Christian, politician"
to be exact, preaching against
child molestation,
found himself in prison,
for raping children,...that's a fact

the devils work, gives lips service
to that of a spiritual demon flirt

none of you can be trusted,
you are all potential rapists'
just a matter of time
before your a%s is busted,
before the truths' uncovered

you Christian
ass holes point the finger at gays...
when you are the real reason
why you go to church and pray

it is not to find your faith,
for you have none at the start,

...for you wouldn't do
the kinds of things
that break a childs heart...

you know it is only a matter of time
before your life falls apart ...

hang your head in shame you bastard!!!
hang your head in shame...

you're the reason why women leave men
why so many despise your type
the heart of this man is not be trusted...
from experience this logic commands

...another supposed family man...
Hiding behind his family...his wife

don't preach to me you sinner...
all of you make me laugh...
you won't find me in one of churches
your mind bending cult...
perfectly built to house sinners
your the ones' who take it up the a#s

this so called religion
you hide behind...
you yourself a joke...

Now I could write a passage
of compassion-be a real bleeding

but as adults who are we protecting
here...the child...or these nobs
these predators...that steal
a childs innocence...a childs dreams

there is no compassion
only an abyss I cannot forgive
anyone...anyone for this...

 for these kids
a life of nightmares dark shadows
and silent screams...they'll either end up
victims...or brave courageous...
strong and determined human beings...choose a life
of love somehow become a beautiful
loving person...

for devils only walk straight lines...
in God you will repent...
in God there is no pretence...

RIP Virginity

Dear Sir, my innocence is gone now, no more fear
Do you love to **** me again, I am always here.
I wonder when you taught me how to use a pen,
I was so into you but my ****** was in pain!
I was crying; I was too immature to understand
I was turning only 13, I couldn't feel what happened.
but I promise I never forget what you taught me at the end.
I begged you to stop and looked into your eyes,
there was a reflection of a cruel world, that’s what I deserved!
Don't be afraid, mommy never knows what you did,
Nobody knows that you made me bleed.
Dear sir, my innocence is gone with all my tears,
as I had no safe place to hide myself from fears.
Nobody saw anything as your world was so blind!
having hidden hatred inside, a virgin died.
Dear sir, time cannot erase your memories,
time doesn't heal all wounds, that you marked,
yes, you took my innocence that will be always on my mind.
My innocent world was shattered by your touch
Hope no one ever has to experience such
For all the pain, all the cruelty, thank you very much!

Fake Words

Fake Words – Zamreen Zarook

God have given us mouth,
Not to speak to north and south,
Tongue is given under an oath,
So it’s our duty to protect them both.

Girls chat fake with boys,
Having a notion that the boys are toys,
They often make varied noise,
Thinking to keep a trap on handsome guys.

Boys are also human being,
So it’s not possible being clean,
Things varies in the way they are seen,
So positive thinking will make you keen.

Boys’ minds are pure,
As it is pure bio,
So don’t try to pour vino,
Which will take decades to get cure.

Let Him Go

This poem I wrote. I call it " Let Him Go "

Sweetheart don't cry
Don't let him make you feel like your nothing
You do have family even though we are not close by
I know your heart is crushing
Don't harp on the past
Don't let him play with your head
You need to get over him fast
His feelings for you are dead
Over 2 years and you still don't have a ring
Your not the one he calls his wifey to be no more
Take a seat and listen up girl here is the thing
He's playing with your feelings and using you like a two dollar whore
I know you were smart once and can be again
He has you so brain washed it's not funny
I know hearing all this is a strain
Think of the example your setting for you little ones honey
Hold your head high and walk away from that loser mama's boy
Show him that your the one that is too good for his sorry ass
Hell he's such a mama's boy you can find better pleasure in a toy
Your related to me so come on show your sass
Let go of the past and look to a new future
Let go of the pain and the control freak
Say bye bye Looser
It will get easier one step at a time week by week......

Wild Flower

Wild Flower
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 In Death Of A Rose by Nate Spears
Rescue this sunflower
It's capable of being a ray of light
Nurture it, value it, and love it
Its petals are more delicate than they appear in sight
A wild flower it is; but it displays beauty
The facts of its species remain unknown
Its fight to reach its true potential is admired
It’ birth to existence is undetermined
 It’s roots shows trauma
Its presentation brings hesitates to potential caregivers
No one's prepared to take a chance
This flower is destined to win
All earthly roots sprout from above
At some point in a life’s span; we could use a kiss or hug
He who refuses to display any element of the wild
Is merely real
An artificial representation of life
Stuck in Styrofoam surrounded by fake moss and dust
No breath, no soul, non-existence
A human being choked from an outer dimension.
Rescue this wild flower with love.

Ode to a Mellow Glass of Chardonay - by Michael Dom

Marvellous Mellow Glass of Chardonnay
What was my life before you came my way?
My parched throat and tongue, my taste buds were rife,
My heart, my mouth, with the raw taste of life!
I would sweat by my brawn, or by my brows,
Through the days and nights, for a wife and house;
But, with a Mellow Glass of Chardonnay,
My troubles and strife’s seem to wash away!
My heart, my mouth, would taste the sprite of life
If you were woman, I’d make you my wife!

A Woman's Worth

A Woman’s Worth
By Nate Spears

Her purpose in this world is hurting
She’s never been a designed of perfect
But she is a mom, so she’s super
She works
She cleans
Then roll up her sleeves ; and
Take care of the kids; and
The house
Making it a home
For a beautiful family to roam
Building wonderful memories
Becoming a woman of worth
Keeping her faith through Christ
Keeping her pace through health
Keeping her sanity through managing
This is a woman’s worth
I’m giving you

Despite of all the stress
She receives her family with open arms
Through all the mess
She’s a fantastic mom
A wonderful woman
Deserving a round of applause
Plus a standing ovation
For always being an American sensation
That held this continent down since day one
Since the Plymouth Rock landed on us
Thank you for her giving
Thank you for her living
Thank you for her children
This is ,
A woman’s worth.

- Is It Fair -

I have heard: Women burn fat almost 10% slower than men
           It's does not feel justified
I have heard: Women live on average 3 years longer than men
           Women have a better durability date (used before: .. - ... - .....)
           Men: (must be used within: .. - .. - ....)
Why is it only women who are thinking about calories and diets
I bake delicious cakes .... that can only be eaten by my husband
           ..... I think I'll try one more piece :)

A Story My Mother Told Me

someone always told me this with tears in her eyes...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

a wife left South Africa in the 1960’s to join her husband
who was in exile at the time...

in 1970 the husband was sent by the African National Congress to India to be its representative there...

the husband and wife spent two years in Bombay...

one afternoon the husband fell and broke his leg...

the wife knocked on their neighbour’s door, in an apartment complex in Bombay

the neighbour was an old Punjabi lady...

the wife asked the neighbour for a doctor to see to the injured husband...

a Parsi ‘Bone-Setter’ was promptly summoned...

the husband still recalls his anxiety of seeing ‘Bone-Setter’ written on the Parsi gentleman’s bag...

by the way, the ‘Bone-Setter’ worked his ancient craft and surprisingly for the husband, his broken leg healed quite soon...

but still on that day, while the ‘Bone-Setter’ was seeing to the husband...

the wife and the old Punjabi lady from next door got to talking about this and that and where these new Indian-looking wife and husband were from as their accents were clearly not local...

the wife told the elderly Punjabi lady that the husband worked for the African National Congress of South Africa and had left to serve the ANC from exile...

and that they had left their two children behind in South Africa and that they were now essentially political refugees...

the Punjabi lady broke down and wept uncontrollably...

she told the foreign woman that she too had had to leave her home in Lahore in 1947 and flee to India with only the clothes on her back when the partition of the subcontinent took place and Pakistan was formed and at a time when Hindus from Pakistan fled to India and vice versa...

the Punjabi lady then asked the foreign woman her name...

‘Zubeida’, but you can call me ‘Zubie’...

the Punjabi woman hugged Zubie some more, and the two women, seperated by age and geography, wept, sharing a shared pain...

the Punjabi woman told Zubie that she was her ‘sister’ from that day on, and that she felt that pain of exile and forced migration and what being a refugee felt like...

Zubie and her husband Mosie became the closest of friends with the Hindu Punjabi neighbours who were kicked out of Pakistan by Muslims...

then came the time for Mosie and Zubie to leave for Delhi where the African National Congress office was based...

the elderly Punjabi lady and Mosie and Zubie said their goodbyes...

a year or two later, the elderly Punjabi lady’s daughter Lata married Ravi Sethi and the couple moved to Delhi...

the elderly Punjabi lady called Zubie and told her that her daughter was coming to Delhi to live and that she had told Lata, her daughter that she had a ‘sister’ in Delhi...

Lata and Ravi Sethi then moved to Delhi...

This was in the mid-1970’s...

Lata and Zubie became the closest of friends and that bond stayed true, and stays true till today, though Zubie is no more, and the elderly Punjabi lady is no more...

the son and the husband still have a bond with Lata and Ravi Sethi...

a bond that was forged between Hindu and Muslim and between two continents across the barriers of creed and time...

a bond strong and resilient, forged by the pain and trauma of a shared experience...

and that is why, and I shall never stop believing this, that hope shines still, for with all the talk of this and of that, and of that and of this, there will always be a simple woman, somewhere, anywhere, who would take the ‘other’ in as a sister, a fellow human...

and that is why there will always be hope...
hope in the midst of this and of that and of that and of this...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

Where I'm from we don't do debts, fronts, or take tabs
They don't understand nothing but stashing cash
Put that money on the head, you don't need a mask
They don't understand nothing but stashing cash
How is a broke fool gon' try and smash
They don't understand nothing but stashing cash

Money on my mind like bread on a sandwich

I run the city, they're the lights, I'm the switch

I stand for what's mine, never see me slip and fall

I'm runnin' the race, you're a baby with a slow crawl

My cash stay on point, like a sharpened pencil

Try 'n' copy my style, you gon' need mo' than a stencil

I don't be's in the trap, buy my workers put-in overtime

Feds can't catch me, never see me committin' crime

That's why from time to time I shoot 'em a raise

And tell 'em to stash cash for those rainy days

If money talk, then there's nothing to say

If B.S walk, none of ya' fools can stay

My money talkin' for me, betta' yet, it's in a conversation

Ya' look like money; make money, nice observation

They say the love of money's the root of all evil

So how much money will it take to really love people

into darkness
this life descends
mired at death's door
as its light steadily dims
these aweary bleached bones
doth mourn once youthful days
when innocence pure o'er this soul
in blissful ignorance happily reigned
before time's ephemeral passing breath
enshrouded this woebegone heart's moody
mangled reprobate impenitent suasible flesh
with ne'er a humble outcry nor ire forbearance
this lingering bemired e'er obstinate human clay
whence forth engenders hope's demise since afore
existence's perfect birth beyond its motherly womb
till sufferings' midlife malefic spirits furtively abort
its righteous life-giving journey heavenward bound
an inward promise greedily denied by passion's fire
mere dust in blackness of darkness wholly effaced
from paradise lost to limbo's nonexistent embrace
this inflexible cursed soul henceforth forgotten
a preemie spirit resident to fields of silence

Even precious jewels cannot approach their value,
For the women of merit are priced beyond them.
Their beauty is found in the works of love they do,
And in their smile facing the future that is never dim.
Most arise at dawn when it is still like the night
And wrap round them bands of strength like corsets.
Going out like the cargo ships before daylight,
They conduct their business for handsome profits.

Their beauty is matched by their hearts filled with virtue,
For there is rich wisdom and mercy on her tongue.
Their clothing soft fair linen of purple and blue,
And open are their hands to needy they live among.
Men give them praise and children give them honor,
Since her public reputation is all to her credit.
Eschewing evil for the good at every corner,
They ply their gifts toward works of merit.

Oh to be her partner in labor and pleasure,
For her fire will not go out for the night.
Her company for sure has profit in full measure,
And lifts high the muse of good cheer’s delight.
Faith is her deserved and hard-earned reward,
For her strength and self-respect passes the test.
About her worth there is candid accord,
Among women her title is the very best.

An Awesome and Active Mailperson

Walking, the mail man once carried a bag
Slowly, he now drives a jeep to mail box

Brown spots over my mail; a little moist
Like coffee stain probably from the gutter

Lazy! just sit, won’t get out the vehicle now
Months ago, he walked until women came

Hissing teeth, “Just suits me fine, he mumbles”
Recalled my dog, Ruff, chased him one day

Running, the mail scattered all over the street
Like ginkgo leaves spinning in autumn’s wind

Now I wonder, “What in earth am I to do?”
This new mailperson, different yet the same

First a lazy mailman until women appeared
Rules of the game just immediately changed

It’s no longer mailman; it was never mail woman
Now just mailperson; wow women have power!

Some women are awesome! Roses will be great
She ought to smile and bring much more mail

She may come to my door; sensational smile
Active! I bet she will get out of the vehicle

Where I'm from we don't do debts, fronts, or take tabs
They don't understand nothing but stashing cash
Put that money on the head, you don't need a mask
They don't understand nothing but stashing cash
How is a broke fool gon' try and smash
They don't understand nothing but stashing cash

My Green could fill-up a Bay, need a few Packers

Haters look, fold and crumble like Ritz-crackers

Money comes and goes, but you know mine stays

Like a well-trained dog, sometimes it even lays

Money brings power, respect, gotta' have the jewels

Call me a handy-man, I stay with my tools

I know it sounds messed-up, but it's money-over-everything

My weight's been up, you just started like a flower in spring

My money keeps flippin', like some Burgers on a grill

Money on me heavy, like a work-out, makes me sweat fo'real

Active, got a million hustles, I'm motivated and dedicated

Call me and money happily married, we can't be separated

Not talking movies, but I bet you ain't seen this in a while

My money's long, go 'head, call it the green mile

Long as I'm stashing cash, I'll always come out on top

Like a junkie smokin' dope, me making money won't stop

Hostile Times II

Hostile Times II
By Nate Spears

Busted love is my Crystal Ball's fortune
My heart hurts in a torturing way
Nothing ever works in my favor
Standing still
I lower my head and pray
Confessing to God
All I have to give

A 16 year old rebellious daughter
A 13 year old son that’s dead
My father is in prison; so is the one of my two kids
Is this really a way of living?
I didn’t have a choice from the days beginning
Anything different
Would have a given me a chance
at living

Walls of barriers bearing on us
On this earth we stand
Refusing to let go of this curse
If no bill is signed by Congress
My unemployment runs out next Thursday
Now I contemplate what’s next?
Sex dollars or Creflo's Dollars?
Be an honest woman; or
Be a fool that’s starving?
When pushed to the limit
All governors are discarded.

Hostile Times rains upon us
Other nations joins the honors
The Elite makes me vomit
There’s plenty of resources among us
God have mercy and let it trickle down on us
Rather than become degrading
In this pew
I choose prayer
Becoming Sunday Mornings best
Washing away my pains that become abreast; with my chest
Bringing in a new day,
A today,
For a better way
In these hostile times we live in.

The Women

The Women

(for the countless women, names unknown, who bore the brunt of Apartheid, and who fought the racist system at great cost to themselves and their families, and for my mother, Zubeida Moolla)

Pregnant, your husband on the run,
your daughter, a child, a few years old,

they hauled you in, these brutish men,
into the bowels of Apartheid's racist hell.

They wanted information, you gave them nothing,
these savage men, who skin happened to be lighter,

and white was right in South Africa back then,

but, you did not cower, you stood resolute,

you, my mother, faced them down, their power,
their 'racial superiority', their taunts, their threats.

You, my mother, would not, could not break,

You stood firm, you stood tall.

You, like the countless mothers did not break, did not fall.

You told me many things, of the pains, the struggles,

the scraping for scraps, the desolation of separation
from your beloved Tasneem and your beloved Azad,

my elder sister and brother, whom I could not grow
up with, your beloved children separated by time, by place,

by monstrous Apartheid, by brutish men,
whose skin just happened to be lighter.

You told me many things, as I grew older,
of the years in exile, of the winters that grew ever colder.

You were a fighter, for a just cause,
like countless other South African women,

you sacrificed much, you suffered the pangs,
of memories that cut into your bone, your marrow,

you resisted a system, an ideology, brutal and callous and narrow.

Yes, you lived to see freedom arrive, yet you suffered still,
a family torn apart, and struggling to rebuild a life,

all the while, nursing a void, that nothing could ever fill.

I salute you, mother, as I salute the nameless mothers,

the countless sisters, daughters, women of this land,
who fought, sacrificing it all for taking a moral stand.

I salute you, my mother, and though you have passed,
your body interred in your beloved South African soil,

you shall remain, within me, an ever-present reminder,

of the cost of freedom, the struggles, the hunger, the toil.

I salute you!

(for the brave women of South Africa, of all colours,
who fought against racial discrimination and Apartheid)

My Perfect 10

If I picked my Valentine
she'd be a perfect 10.
She'd have blonde hair with highlites
and answer where and when.

She'd be a little shorter,
yet tall enough to kiss.
Her reach a little longer
to torture us in bliss.

Her shape would be the bomb.
As sexy as they come.
With hair up for the moment
I'd meet her at the prom.

She'd talk a little faster
with words I'd say are smart.
Yet keep me to attention
in hugs up to my heart.

A smile just like a lion.
Her face a source of pride.
One to show my mother.
And then to make my bride.

My Valentine was perfect
as I lost her way back then.
How was I to know that she
would find her perfect 10.

I am the face of misery
My life, a dissonance of autumn and spring,
The years are written in the same
Lugubrious, nostalgic grey
How can it be the author to blame?
I cannot scream this all away…
Burn nor Bleed this all away…
To Death I am Ordained

Lacuna ever growing
With Velvet sheets of life flowing
Aeons apart of my "royalty"
Under the mask the cannot see...
Can you dispel this tragedy:
Antigone - Epiphany failing

If it must be…
Then just kill me,
(Antigone) sing me out of reality;
I wear this dissonant crown of shame
(Antigone) Of a kingdom's disdain
I hate to be this way... normalcy's bane
(Antigone) Here comes the edict, to blame
The sordid child of Thebes,
This is me,

No words of hope
No words of hate
Do I have Lenore to send to me:
The sordid child of Thebes
Caught In the longest nightmare
life - the slowest way to die

I know this is my life
But I'm not under control
under the mask the will see
Just Another Human

If it must be…
Then just kill me,
(Antigone) sing me out of reality;
I wear this dissonant crown of shame
(Antigone) Of a kingdom's disdain
I hate to be this way... normalcy's bane
(Antigone) Here comes the edict, to blame
The sordid child of Thebes,
This is me,

If it must be…
Then just kill me,
(Antigone) sing me out of reality;
I wear this dissonant crown of shame
(Antigone) Of a kingdom's disdain
I hate to be this way... normalcy's bane
(Antigone) Here comes the edict, to blame
The sordid child of Thebes,
This is me,

Can you dispel my life; this tragedy?
Can you control the storm in my mind?
I'm asking you: can you rid me
Of The Curse of Antigone?

Wrinkle, wrinkle on my face…

Couldn't you have found some other place ?

What made you furrow between my eyes ?

And all those creams, they are nothing but lies….

When I look in the mirror, all I can see…

Is a silver haired person staring back at me….

Then there are the lines , which run down the sides of my nose…

Running in circles, round my lips, down my neck and into my clothes….

Speaking of clothes , isn’t that where the wrinkles should be ?

Is nature playing a trick on me ?

Or is this a sign “ old “ is sneaking up on me ?

It seems only yesterday I was a young girl .. and had my whole life ahead of me…

So free……

Which don’t take me wrong I have enjoyed my life’s ride…

And there isn’t much in my life, I haven’t tried….

But it should would be nice if I could just see…

Myself with one less wrinkle…when I looked back at me…..

Get in bed, take out my pistol, let off a round
Shoot her up, shoot her up, bang, bang
Blowing on my mic', the best song she ever sang

The chick's riding me, she started to pant

She dropped down low, started giving brain, transplant

She's eating that wood, like she's a termite

Got something to quench her thirst, but it's not sprite

I think I might go down-town, to get some dessert

She's like a water gun when she climax, squirt

Always takes showers, but she's oh so dirty

Started at three, it's going on four-thirty

Make sure I meet her needs, you're a minute man

She say I got flavor, but you're kinda' bland

I'm speeding, you get home at six, it's rush-hour

Gotta' clean up for you, hit it in the shower

She's so wet, it's like swimming in the ocean

Hop out the shower, dry off, wipe her down with lotion

Starts to get upset, said she wanted me to stay

Ain't in Florida, but she might go M.I.A

I'm Not the Kind of Person God Wants Me to Be

I’m not the kind of person I need to be! There’s too many problems inside of me! I’m not the kind of person you’d want to know… I’ve too many worries and a troubled soul! I’m the kind of person who has a lot of stress! Lately, my life has been one big mess! I’m the kind of person who doesn’t have a friend. You listen to me now… But may never see me again! I’m the kind of person who’s gone through pain! I wake up some days, and don’t even know my name! I may not be the kind of person you’d want to be around. I may get discouraged, and “get you down.” I’m the kind of person who’s giving Jesus a chance… I know he loves me! Whatever the circumstance! I’m the kind of person who needs a lot of prayer! I know that God listens! And is always there! Please help me Jesus! That I may be set free! May it be your love that others will see! Thank you Jesus! For being my savior and friend! You’re someone that this person can always depend! I’m not the kind of person that Jesus wants me to be! That’s why I need more of HIM! And LESS of me! By Jim Pemberton

I spit game proper, like a pro-batter, I got the right stroke
I work deals, like it's Black-Friday, I'm far from broke
I can't help but make the girl proud and gay
Want some of my time, like takes, you too gotta' pay

She don't act up, but she's so bad, discipline

Put her in time-out, punishment, a great beatin'

When I'm hittin' her good, she calls me daddy

I'm her trophy, showcase me, friends wish they had me

Too easy, always give it up, her man call it robbery

Termite, loves wood, told me have my log handy

Do what I order, like a puppet, no-strings-attached

Not a crook, but like a purse, your chick got snatched

Not intimate, gold-digger, money makes her cum

It's me, her, and a bag of money, three-sum

You got flushed-down-the-drain, but I'm the crap, feces

You're gone, don't make 'em like me, endangered species

Got fire-wood, leave the 'coochie' smoking like a Newport

Done with you, on to the next, long stick, but life's short

Get attached, space myself, I come around less

Bad sex, back-stabbing, bull, I ain't with the B.S

Only in You

Through the lonely woods, I may head,

Upon the autumn leaves, I may tread,

At the secluded horizon, I may stare,

And only you, I may see,

In those symphonies of silence,

In those melodies of calmness,

In those euphonies of quietness.

By the silent lake, I may lay,

Till the twilight fades, I may stay,

Then in reclusive silence, I may walk,

And only to you, I may talk,

Through those toungueless emotions,

Through those wordless attachments,

Through those voiceless sentiments.

In the lone meadow, I may wander,

Along the untrodden paths, I may waver,

In companionless seclusion, I may hide,

And only in you, I may find,

The depths of oneness,

The bonds of togetherness,

The cozy feel of coalescence.

In the wilderness of emotions, I may die,

At the merciless daggering, I may sigh,

Through a million wounds, I may bleed,

And only in you, I may seek,

The balm of love,

The warmth of affection,

The heal of inseparability.

'Give me drink, rest, and solitude'

Give me drink, rest, and solitude--
these are all the things I long for.
Give me as well your finest food
and I'll ask of you, lass, no more!

My bonnie lass, what's the matter--
why are you all sorry and alone?
Don't be sad because you're fatter
than most, lass, for love loves its own.

Sweet lass, I'll tell you a secret.
If I were a young lad again,
I'd pursue you without regret!
But as I am three-score and ten

years old, indeed, I can never
be the youthful lad you most need.
But your pain won't be for ever:
for your heart will refuse to bleed.

Emotionless,and a sorry Excuse

Can Things ever last,
When they happen so fast.
do these tears and pain ever fade,
Is Drama yet another day,
That I must play to waste the day away,
and ignore the pain,
 that never seems to fade.
I know that game,
I played it so many times,
Emotionless is what i shall be,
 for all times and eternity.
Galeea's training proved right,
All little boys play the game of deception,
But they do not realize that some girls see it before them,
Some girls grow up to be woman and are looking for guys,
Who want to be man enough to take any
Drama and pitiful lies that other little girls spread around to see,
if they can steal that one great guy in their life.
Pity is what it is called when a Man falls into that pit of vipers,
Why can i not be like those vipers?
because I am too smart and not so vain as the
others girls i see around me.
Because i am me and i just want to be me
and that is what i would like to see,
 For that is reality.

I'm a Muslim I'm not a Terrorist

I am a Muslim, I’m not a “terrorist”.
How can I be a terrorist
when I’m against all kinds of injustice.

I’m against every act of sin and evil.
I hate all kinds of crime and even loathe
what Adolf did to the innocent Jewish people.

I hate what God hates; He (Allah) hates oppression.
I’m against stealing, against taking away
people’s loved ones and belongings for no reason.

I’m against suicide bombings,
against racism, against ignorance,
against self-harm and even derision.

What God hates I hate and God (Allah) hates
oppression. I hate it too when people fight
for foolish nationalistic reasons.

I’m a Muslim; I follow the true religion
of mercy from Allah the Most Merciful
Who simply wants us to answer His Call
to believe in Just One -Just One God of all.

So don’t call me a “terrorist” when I clearly
don’t have a ‘mass destruction’ weapon
and my goal in life is to
be with our God (Allah) in Heaven.

Human or Humane

Human or Humane – Zamreen Zarook
The precious creature of the divine lord,
One differ from other as the playings of harpsichord,
Every single was a pass chord,
So as to go for their fatal reward.

Muscular system is a part,
Nervous system is an art,
Skeleton system is again a handcraft,
Things matters on the beauty of the heart.

Showing kindness and sympathy,
You become a man of empathy,
This leads to be healthy and wealthy,
Where as it makes your life lengthy.

Dummy body is human,
Love and kindness within it is the humane,
decide and alter your membrane,
Before you reach the torture of the hurricane.

The Three Floozies Mary, Flo and Burly (A known Feminist)

Come join the three for another cheap, meaningless day in their lives
They consider themselves to be hip, part of the same sex marriage, Burly the
husband, Flo and Mary the wives
Their day always starts at the breakfast table bashing the males that exist
They wish the males could be on the endangered species list
Sometimes things change among the three, as the estrogen level rises in Burly
Once a month, she wants to be a wife and act very girly
As for Mary and Flo, they think Oprah is hot
Burly thinks Rosie O'Donnell has the goodies she so much has sought
They sip their Busch Beer out of Nascar Coozies
There is no more room for anymore women within the circle of The Three
From their point of view, all men should be women's slaves
Burly has a strong scent of Old Spice after shave
They love watching domineering women type movies
The popcorn is shared by all Three Floozies
They go out to only all girls clubs
They cheer on the under dogs, their favorite one is the Chicago Cubs
Their closets are full of clothes by Dickies
They leave each other love notes on little stickies
Mary likes champagne on a store brand soda budget
Flo likes Butterbeans with cumin to make them smell pungent
Burly likes Pickled Eggs and sardines
Burly's favorite movie line is In space no one can hear you scream
Flo's favorite movie line is Go ahead, make my day
Mary's favorite movie line is My name is Chucky, do you wanna play?
Burly dreams of one day wrestlin' steers
Mary is concerned that Burly one day will leave, that's her worst fear
Flo watches the WWE, she is such a loyal fan
Burly uses her forehead to smash empty beer cans
None of you are mothers, so on your peanut butter selection, quit being choosy

A DIVINE HOOK-UP: Loyalty, Love and Devotion When Women Worship God

Naomi and her family departed from Bethleham Judah the land of milk and honey
in the midst of a famine as they were unable to earn any money
so on to the region of Moab they ventured and prospered to some degree
until Naomi lost her husband and both sons and was left alone to grieve
to her daughters-in-law she told them both to their families they should go back
but one daughter-in-law Ruth refused to let their relationship come under attack
she told Naomi I will never leave you nor forsake you
I will stay by your side no matter what we have to go through
your people will be my people, your God will be my God
and wherever you choose to travel you and I will never part
with loyalty, love and devotion Ruth needed Naomi in her life
in order for her to develop a relationship with our Lord Christ
now worshipping God together placing their fate in His hands
for this was a divine hook-up that the Lord our God had planned

Now Naomi needed Ruth too but was to afraid to admit it
as she felt she had been forsaken by the presence of the Holy Spirit
but God was in the midst of that relationship from the very start
He had destined that Ruth and Naomi would never, ever part
for when women worship God great relationships are made in life
with loyalty, love and devotion in the name of Jesus the Christ
In the course of your life there will be people whom you need and require
to help you to be all that you can be in the way that God desires
the clarifiers in your life will help you to see what is your mission
the collaborators in your life will encourage you to come to a decision
the confronters in your life will nag you and stay in your face
while the comforters in your life if they're of God will help you find your place
then the celebrators in your life will help you to rejoice in your victory
with the spirit of love, devotion and a godly loyalty

Now Ruth went on to get remarried but kept Naomi as a member of her household
for their relationship was a divine hook-up that was under God's control
for when women worship God great relationships last an eternity
Naomi and Ruth a divine hook-up of love, devotion and loyalty

The Nameless - for South Africans of all colours who fought for freedom

The Nameless

Slipping through the sieve of history,

the nameless rest.

Not for the nameless are roads renamed, nor monuments built.

Not for the nameless are songs sung, nor ink spilled.

The nameless rest.

Their silent sacrifice,

quiet ordeal,

muted trauma,

remain interred,

amongst their remains.

The nameless rest.

Not for the nameless are doctorates conferred, nor eulogies recited.

Not for the nameless are honours bestowed, nor homages directed.

The nameless rest.

They rest within us,

they walk with us,

in every step that we tread.

They rest within us,

they walk with us,

for their spirit is not dead.

“Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal”
- inscription at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier WWII in Moscow

Special thanks to my dearest elder sister Tasneem Nobandla Moolla, whose conversations with me about life as a non-white person growing up in pre and post-Apartheid South Africa prompted me to write this dedication to the countless, nameless South Africans of every colour, whose sacrifices and dedication in the struggle against Apartheid tyranny must never be forgotten.

My sister’s middle name ‘Nobandla’ which is an isiXhosa name and means “she who is of the people” was given by her godfather, Nelson Mandela, my father’s ‘best-man who could not be, as Nelson Mandela was unable to-make it to my parent’s wedding as he was in jail at the time in the old Johannesburg Fort. This was the 31st December 1961.

This Day In Age

I find it strange this day in age
Some beautiful ones are still teens
I've talked to older women, I'm afraid;
It's almost like I'm caught in between.

You see, other Adventist Christians,
They did consider it ignorant of me.
I didn't ask for this experience;
I don't wish to be in captivity.

Is it how I carry myself?
Well, maybe it's the male physique
Which might describe the way she felt
That time when her eyes were on me.

I picked the less of two evils;
Adulthood is not simple to me.
I will never be perfect for people;
Especially, when I'm twenty-three.

if we could write a scarlet letter
in a world where there is no shame
and place it on a hester prine
just to shame her name
could we find another letter
to represent the womans scorn
and place the letter on her breast
ever to be worn
what would make the woman suffer
the intended consequence
could a conscious spur a soul
into moral consciousness
could a letter change her fate
from being evil to becoming good
and with the added question
did it harm the neiborhood

are all women judged by letters
as harmfull as she
all women judged by letters
to recieve a guilty plea
and all women judged by letters
to wear this ugly blot
and never be free from the sin
that made the awful spot

hester had integrity and hester had a skill
neither man of god or judge of men
could break our hesters will
hester had determination
and hester had her pride
she was not a rat
and yet she never lied
throught the years friends turn into enemies
and foes become good friends
a letter became a decoration
and no longer a mark of shame
soon the world would learn the truth
and the truth can set you free
it's not about who they say you are
it's about who you'll be

when the world sends the letters
and they come to you as mail
don't ignore the letters
answer them very well
when the world sends you letters
through the whispers of friends
don't believe everything
said by so called friends
when the world sends you letters
judging your moral values
take a look at yourself and be honest
do you really have to?
and when the world sends you letters
about your lower class
i don't even have to tell ya, you know.

Get in bed, take out my pistol, let off a round
Shoot her up, shoot her up, bang, bang

Got something for your chick to drink, she slurps me

Definitely ain't praying, but she gets on her knees

Her head game is fire, nine-hundred-degrees

It's like she's educating me, gives me good brain

While she's down there, I pull her hair, like a horse's mane

She's a vampire, sucking on the neck of my second head

Not the one on my shoulders, but the one used in bed

She told me to eat her out, went down and bit it

She can't stand violence, but loves the way I hit it

Beat the 'Coochie' up, bedroom turned into a boxing arena

Call it domestic violence, no court, no subpoena

Riding me, I'm thinking 'bout gettin' her a saddle

We rocking the boat right now, ain't got a paddle

Making a movie, this the best part, 'bout to climax

She loves when I come over, got everything her man lacks

Will You Travel With Me To Heaven PART THREE

Imagine a king who has many
Servants staying at his palace
It would make no sense at all if those
Servants do not fulfill their purpose

Those servants were ordered to work
And to respect that king at all times
While the king gives them a place to stay
They should always make his palace shine

Any slave who does not work may
Eventually be kicked out soon
Any slave who works improperly
May likewise end up without a room

That king has a right to command
His slaves to sing lovely songs of him
To choose the number of times to wash
A staircase, because he is 'king'

That king has a right to command his
Slaves to do well to his family
To treat his close friends with respect
And welcome his guests cheerfully

To tell them not to touch this and that
To disallow them from certain rooms
To do what he commands them to do
As he is the owner who rules

So when Allah gives a command
A command that must be obeyed
You must obey Allah's Commandments
Or else you might get yourself astray

So if Allah commands you to pray
To Him, five prayers everyday
Don't ask 'why? ' Don't ask 'why five salahs? '
Just listen to God, and obey

God lets you walk on the earth He made
God gives you fresh air for you to breathe
God keeps the clouds above you floating
And gives you drink and food to eat

God gave you a brain with which to think
And still you ask 'why should you pray? '
We pray to Allah, the Mighty King
Who lets us live each night and day

When you're awake, when you're asleep
The air you breathe each night and day
What you inhale and what you exhale
Are some things from God which you don't pay

The ability to taste is a
Gift from God which many just ignore
Imagine if you could not taste the
Food you eat, eating would be a bore

You eat fruits and vegetables that God
Created, from plants that Allah made
You drink water which belongs to God
And yet you ask 'why must we pray? '

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.

Beyond the Frontier

Where am I? Why is it dark?
This isn’t what I had in mind when I left the park…
Why isn’t the wind whispering…the songbirds singing?
All I remember is a telephone ringing…
A scream and a crash and a pain in my side…
Is this what happens after one’s died?
I don’t feel like myself, I feel wild and free,
Yet I’m cold and alone, 'stead of filled with glee.

My whole life I’ve studied, and pondered, and prayed,
Trying to fathom what would happen this day
But now that it’s here, I’m beginning to fear
Maybe the afterlife’s not what it appears…
It’s certainly not what I’ve been told by my preacher
Or my parents or brother or best friend or teacher…
Is it a bad thing, or is it good?
Maybe it’s just not quite understood...

While I was on Earth, I just couldn’t wait
To meet good St. Peter at the heavenly gate
And ask him a question or query or two
“What was my purpose?” “What good did I do?”
“What’s it all for?” “How does it all flow?”
“Can I have one more body, one more try, one more go?”
But where is the angel? Where is the gate? And
If this is Hell, then where is Ol’ Satan?
Am I a lost soul? Am I forgotten?
Am I to be left here until I am rotten?

Lo and behold! what, now, can this be?
Is this a wonderful spiritual epiphany?
Is this the magical feeling all souls receive
When they leave Earth? Oh! was I that naïve?
How could I have not seen the realism?
Why was I consumed in man-made idealism?
This is more wondrous than all I was taught
Oh, all the times I argued and fought
With others, ‘bout how their views were asinine
Now I see, theirs were just as wrong as mine!
Little I thought was actually correct!
How, why, did I let others petty beliefs infect
My untouched, my pure, my virgin mind?
I regret all the hours I self-tortured to find
That compared to what I see now, I was empty and blind…

Wait - - What is this that I see?
What is this gateway that is revealed unto me?

Now a door is opened to my immortal soul
I am expected now to enter my life’s final goal…
I am scared, intimidated, but still I am glad…
For the truth I have just seen is anything but bad.
This is the end of my journey, I’ve nothing to fear,
For now I am going Beyond the Frontier.

I Want

I want to sing you
I want to write you
I want to watch you
And describe you

I would like to compose you
You, my ninth symphony
To put you on a stave
To play your melody

I want to sculpt you
Without engraving too much
Hardly anything to change
Some details to fix

I want to photograph you
Under different lights
To whip with the flash
All those artifices that are hiding you

I want to break your records
Go through your body's limits
Jump higher, run further
When man an athlete is one

I could go on with other arts
But none of them seem good enough to define you
So I'll go on in which my words are the finest
For you, I'll never stop writing

Love Is Louder

Love they say is louder than hate.
But I think that it’s a shame,
That only holds true when you have a pretty face.
Maybe I’m a disgrace,
For saying such a thing,
But think about your life and how true that *****rings.
And I cannot deny what this mirror is reflecting,
What’s standing in my way is only one thing.
It was beauty killed the beast,
In famine it will bring feast.
And sideways glances, second chances, you’ll get those at least.
But what about me?
What about us?
It’s power like money,
It drives greed,
it drives lust.
So what about you?
What can we do?
All I can hear,
The sounds that make the world disappear.
Love is louder than hate, but I can’t hear it from here.

The halo effect

If there is one thing I remember
It is what life told
Just open your eyes
All that glisters may not be gold
So who is to blame and whose fault I hold
The halo effect, the one in disguise
Manifesting deception in front of thy eyes
Treat one different because of their look
Why read? Judge the cover of the book?
But you do read others because they don’t have the look
If you understand, how long has it took?
The halo effect, we magnify a trait
Condone the flaws, we magnify a trait
Attractiveness, is this what you mean?
All this talk, my perception a feign?
What I see, aint what it seem?
Huh, thanks for this, as well as that.
The halo effect, my mind was hacked.

Regrets contest

I didn't go I broke my promise
my fault  those babies died  my fault the mothers cried.
When I qualified as a midwife a promise I made
promised my heart I would give them my time
to help the poor women get their lives back in line
all they face is pain and shame

The male leaders have  no compassion
terrible  conditions, no hospital or drugs no anything
just  men who think sex is theirs for the taking.
Leaving women with diseases and the babies they're making.
Once my health is back on form off I  will go
taking drugs with me to help the poor.

Everyone is poor they are without
without health without hope so desolate.
Might be just a ripple in an Ocean of hell
many a ripple would  surely tell
Until that day I live with my regrets
regrets that my life held  such consequences

The Traveller's Unclaimed Land

He says he loves me then he says he loves me not
He loves me today but by tomorrow I'm forgot
He runs from my love but returns wanting more
I guess I'm to blame for letting the traveler explore,
See travellers just wander and are never here to stay
They admire the scenery and enjoy the display
They tour the land and ride the attractions
So memories become their only subtractions,
They search for an experience that is what they yearn
The condition once they leave is none of their concern!
So how can the land be devoted and true
When travellers come and go out of the blue.
The present is now and where he's travelled to,
But the past he calls home so he must return soon
Most likely just a visit although time can only tell,
But what he lusts is in this land and he knows it very well
He may call that place home but its this land that he seeks
Travellers on a mission never realize until they hit their peek
He continues to damage this land down to its core
So what's left to offer when their is nothing left in store?
The resources were depleted and the land left bare
He comes and goes as he pleases it doesn't seem fair;
See this land has been abused time and time again
Seeds that were planted, were means to an end
But pleasure and satisfaction was always accomplished
Because this land provided where the homeland was disadvantaged!
But despite the history and despite the trust
Submit to his urges is something he must.
So this time around his departure is permanent
Lack of faith and loyalty was the final determinant.
The damage he caused cannot be rendered,
So his visitation rights he has surrendered!
So leave this land I say and never look back
This is the path you chose I hope you can stay on track,
Cause travellers have memories of the lands they have stained
But the land only remembers the one that remained!

Packed up
Wedged together
Shut out from light and air,
Little creatures indifferent to life or death
Of what comes
With the open door.
Looking for the first opportunity
To Leap
This intolerable life.
The Mass grave
Of a two-dimensional reality.

I am a woman, not a woe-man

I am valuable but not worth any price
I am precious but far more than gold
I am productive but not for abuse
I can talk but not to be abused of talking
I am hardworking but not to be a slave
I am a wife but I am an individual too

I am a mother but I'm just human
I am strong but I get tired too,
I am in flesh, so I need rest
I care but I value myselft first and foremost
I am kind but need kindness too
I listen but not to be lied to
I run the house but I deserve to run myself too

I am the help meet but I need support too
I understand but not to be misunderstood
I provide but I need to be provided for too
I run the kitchen but I need to run my self too
I am the housewife but I am a wife too,
I am married, to my husband, not the house!
I love but I should not be taken for granted

I am weak but not to be raped, beated and scratched
I am submissive and obedient but not to be exercised power abuse on
I am a cheerful giver but not to be robbed
I am soft but not to have my blood squeezed out,
I am full of life but not to be taken away from me
Yes, I am a woman,
Created to live,
Not to be a woebegone!

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast
As her beauty glistens on the outside, her beast brutalizes and demeans her insides.
Belligerent engaged and in war with herself, hostile aggressiveness makes her beast comes out.
She desperately cries out, unable to discipline herself.
Her beast disassociates and separates her from forming any relationships with anyone else.
Her beast slowly takes her dignity and devitalizes her pride.
She is weaken and deprived of life.
She no longer sees her worth; her eyes tell her story of hurt.
Pain as a contributor a well-known donor, love has divorce her.
Forsaken entirely abandon since birth, to be truly loved she thirst.
Unable to see her beauty runs deep, genuinely shows her generosity that emphasizes her sincere honesty.
She garnishes her beastliness while smiling.
As her beast is hiding deeply behind her eyes, her glazy stare intensify her happy appearance as a glassy finish.
As her beast is frantic, her beauty becomes fraudulent.
Her smiles more deceitful her heart grows fragile emotions so gullible.
The meaning of love gravels.
Beauty and the beast she will forever be, for the love she crave the beast will forever eat.
Leaving her dying a unloved sleeping beauty.

Unspoken Love

She saved herself from pick up lines though she looked vulnerable
She's sooo lovable her heart definition could ruin my poetic abilities
You cannot put a price on her she's not billable
If only her lips where adjustable my soft poetry would define her inabilities and weaknesses for the mute to scream happily ever after
She's untouchable i O you an explanation
Her tears tattoo broken spirits uploaded on instagram
She's no twitter baby though followers invite themselves its unbelievable
I could throw nice verses in our conversation but i'm afraid i'm love blind

I'll tell you more about her if you ask me....ask me nice

A broil, inside, so women effervesce,
spilling from my cottage, armed with platters,
dismissing each storm cloud that presses
dusk. Wind clips my blush roses, scattering

petals onto bare feet as if we are brides.
Laughter electrifies even those weary
who relax by hollyhocks. It’s July
and we’ve become the melt of night, freed

of propriety. When, at last, the rain comes,
maturity un-roots to re-spin legends
on the lawn, belting out a summer song
with elbows locked friend to giddy-friend.

Almost steaming, Morrison’s Brown-Eyed Girls
are renewed by verve and this kindred gall.

Women- The Road Familiar

Refreshing feel of identifying with music in my life,

The mother’s voice still echoes sweet in all life’s strife’s.

She taught me to walk, run, dance and sing,

My mother still stands strong in love and vigor in my life.

Kindergarten, the start of knowledge in life,

Where Mini, Lakshmy, Susan, Shoba and Meera,

Still shines as star's in my day- to-day life,

Keeping those memories and blooming together.

School days, are times that stays vivid in mind,

Friends that evoked passions of love still impress,

Susan Bindu, Jaya, Brinda, and Manju remained firm,

Even when life made new meanings, connections endured.

College saw, mixed platter, though women who stayed in unit

More in day- to-day life in Bindu, Geeta, Asha, Raji and Vinith,

Patterns of Lost love, admiration's, hero worship, list stands long,

However, for me it was a distressing lullaby of hearts .

Life showed me, women stand strong above all

As I carry endless power of strength, mind and heart,

when I finds myself and knows where I remain in life!

So I stand tall and represent myself as women.

Love never lost its footprints along the line,

I am a woman in Love, being loved and cherished

I knows deep in my heart that i am contend,

Hearts grew deep in love, known love and in Love.

I knew it right from the start, a moms heart

Holding my finger tight, I cradle you in my arms

Your smile and showed all your charms.

Heavens showered me the "Mom', role in prologue.

Love dies
In your wounded heart
At night
Among colors of tears
I see nothing But your green eyes
Your eyes are my soul
Your heart is the perfume of my life
And you are the lamp of darkness
When I meet you!
When I hug your virgin soul!
This is you! !
Flower of spring
The beauty of days
Don’t leave me alone
Be the night covering me
Be the love protecting me
Be the eyes shutting my dreams
Be my life….

The Petty Posh-WahZee - Liberation and Ostentation

The Petty Posh-Wahzee - Liberation & Ostentation

The Not-So Distant Past:

The fallen fighters for freedom, are unable to turn in their graves,
their battered, fragmented bones, mixed with a handful of torn rags,
are all that remain, a mute reminder of their selfless valiant sacrifice.

They endured brutal Apartheid harassment, detentions without trial,
torture in the cells, and mental anguish when loved ones disappeared,
they left their homeland, to continue the struggle against racial bigotry,
while countless others fought the scourge of white-minority rule at home.

Nelson Mandela and many, many others, spent their lives imprisoned,
on islands of stone, and on islands of the cruellest torture, yet they stood,
never bowing, never scraping, they stood, firm for ideals for which they were prepared to die,

and many, many comrades did die, at the hands of the callous oppressor,
and many, many comrades perished in distant lands, torn from their homes,
while the struggle continued, for decades, soaked in blood, in tears, in pain.

The Present:

19 years have passed, since freedom was secured at the highest of prices,
delivering unto us, this present, a gift of emancipation from servitude,

a freedom to walk this land, head held high, no longer second-class citizens,
in the land of our ancestors, whose voices we hear and need to heed today.

I do not care much for fashion, Lewis-Fit-On and Sleeves unSt.-Moron,
yet the ostentation that I witness baffles even my unsophisticated palate,

our ancestors' plaintive whispers are being dismissed, left unheeded, as
we browse the aisles for more and more, always for more and yet more.

Asphyxiated by the excess of the Petty Posh-Wahzee, we find ourselves,
perched precariously on the edge, of a dissolution of all that is humane,

babies go hungry, wives are battered, our elders left in hospitals for hours,
I cringe as I scribble these words, perhaps too sanctimonious and preachy,

yet I know, deep in the marrow of my brittle bones, I know, I know, I know,
this tree of freedom planted by the nameless daughters and sons of Africa,

needs to be shielded, nurtured, protected from our very own baser impulses,
so that the precious tree of freedom, may bear the fruit that may feed us all,

for if not, then we are doomed, to tip over, and into the yawning abyss, we shall fall.

A naked woman

She was walking naked
On the river bank
And in her hand holds the revenge dagger for honor
Ah! If she knows
How this dagger screams?
In her pregnant hand with ignominy
But what is the avail of that?
Dagger stays a dagger
Dagger is the color of blood
In her handgrip
Becomes a rose
Dagger becomes a greater saint

My lady
Don’t care

Life is naked trees
And naked mountains
And naked tears
And naked hearts
In a naked night
But are there dumb eyes?
Are there blind feelings?
Are there deaf birds?
And is there an Honorable dagger?
Revenge for a prostitute devil

1 Billion Rising.

For Men Everywhere.

Stop! Listen! Think! Act!

Stop the abuse!

Of grand-daughters,

all women.

Listen to the voices!

Of grand-daughters,

all women.

Think of how you treat,

all women.

Act now to change yourself!

Stop! Listen! Think! Act!

The violence,
the abuse,
the rape,

stops when you stop,

the violence,
the abuse,
the rape.

Stop! Listen! Think! Act!

The violence,
the abuse,
the rape,

is perpetrated by,

all men.

Stop! Listen! Think! Act!

The violence,
the abuse,
the rape,

stops when us men stop,

The violence,
the abuse,
the rape,

today, now.

Stop! Listen! Think! Act!

One Billion Rising

Today we rise.

No more hiding in the shadows,

of culture,

No more silent complicity,

defensive arguments,
sickening pretences,
shabby excuses,

for the actions of men,

brutal and coarse and vulgar and obscene and murderous and abusive.

Today, we rise,

as one.

Today the change starts,

with me,
within me.

Today we rise.

Paper Thin

Your paper-thin porcelain skin,
I know how to get right under it.
For kicks is why I do it now.
You tell me to love but I never knew how.
Our feet hitting pavement,
We spent the day in sunny California with sun kissed skin.
I’m learning to forget and how to fade scars,
And you let me let myself down so hard.

Your paper-thin porcelain skin,
I know how to get right under it.
And now I just do it for smiles,
We’ll never see flower girls stumbling down aisles.
I’d lose my head just before that chance,
But if you want we can still have a first dance.
Cause I think I say things that I don’t mean,
Once upon a time you meant the world to me.

Your paper-thin porcelain skin,
I know how to get right under it.
But I’m trying to refrain,
To make this not all end up in vain.
Maybe I can learn to love like some people do,
And you can learn to love yourself a little too.
Or it is in all fairness to let this go?
I guess we can try but then we’ll never know.

Between soul and body

Why you seem sad?
How is for this moon to sadden?
Why pearls pour down from your eyes?
As the raindrops
What is the secret?
What is the matter?
What is the avail of sadness?
And we are hanging in ropes of the sin
And between rope and gallows
An orphan friendship
And between me and you
A new world
Between my eyelash and tears
Painful memories
My lady!
Between city and city
Long distances
Thousand barriers
Thousand souls immigrating
Thousand temples
Thousand priests
Thousand knights
Thousand nights
Thousand devils
And between heart and heart
Farness and yearning
Thousand mercies
Thousand pulses
Thousand love
Thousand addresses
Thousand words
Thousand lies
Thousand candles
And between eye and eye
Hidden Language and dialogues
Thousand tears
Thousand roses
Thousand tones
Thousand winks
Thousand whispers
Thousand touches
Thousand kisses
But between soul and body
One life.............One life.....

Ashes to Ashes

From ashes
she rises,
face, hands, feet.
Four months,
Ten days,
She mourns.
She weeps.

She clothes herself now
in an adornment of white
bowing privately,
praying fervently,
as bitter fumes
of acetone
seep beneath the door.

Her source is god.
Her destination is god.
She pleads with god now
for peace
As men mix and pour
A holocaust
Just outside her door.

Her sisters wail.
They bathe her lifeless arms
And shroud her
as Iris Albicans-

The imam, he stands,
Praying silently
As men convey her
towards Mecca.
From ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
From ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.

I take you to be the love of my life,
To have and to hold and to hit and to crush
For better and for worse when worse is unspeakable
For richer, for poorer when money is spent on drugs and booze and porn
And there is not enough money left for groceries and school clothes.
In sickness and in health when I have to sneak to buy medication
and you call in sick to go to the race.
From this day forward because I have no place to go.
The shelters are full. No room in the inn.
I'm not serious, they say, because I did not call the police
When you choked me last night.
Instead I hid, huddled in the closet behind the locked door,
Holding my baby and praying that she would not be next.
Until death do us part because I have tried to leave
So many times and you drag me back.
Love bears all things,
Believes all things,
Hopes all things,
Endures all things.
Love never ends.
Love never ends.
Love never ends.

I edward your poet

I come before you all, women of this era
Hear my romance, hear my heart sing of your beauty beyond description
Your touch, a smooth heart melting feeling of affection
Eyes of color, vision of art, fashion and love
In thy lips rest kind words of life and wisdom of time and past
Thy body a shape of hypnotizing the soul even
Soft skin, the smell of love, the smell of fortitude of ones being
Hips that call the heart out for a walk
O' how gorgeous are the women of today
Wavy hair, color of my page, brush of life paint on my soul your canvas
I shall give my all to thee if only you give me thy kiss of love
I will protect thee, I a loyal soul shall stand by thee for always
Voice of perfect poets, a rhyme to awake the spirit
Hold me that I quickly fall into thee
Speak of love that I may rejoice in your words
Make me yours that I yearn to be
Caress me that I shall sing a verse in thy name
Love, above all just love me and I shall love thee for eternity

An End to Aloneness

In my life I often feel I am alone; alone in my thoughts, alone in my musings, alone in my day-to-day movements and unsatisfying activities. I move like a ghost through hallways and down sidewalks, unnoticed and, at times, gratefully so.
I do not wish to be eternally alone. I long for togetherness. But despite this desire for a real connection, I find myself regularly retreating from that temperamental beast that is human interaction.

“Come on now, sweetheart. Don’t lower your head. Don’t look away. Look up! Smile at someone! No! Don’t go back into your bedroom. Don’t lock the door! Why are you doing this?” my brain will plea.

I can’t help myself. Aloneness is comfortable. In being alone, I don’t have to worry about anyone but myself. I don’t have to please anyone else. I can think anything I want, wear anything I want, listen to anything I want, and laugh at anything I want.

And still there remains that nagging desire to be loved and wanted and needed by somebody. I do not know the feeling of being truly desired. I do not know what it is like for someone to crave my company, my smile, my kiss, or my touch.

                                                                              But I would like to…

I cannot make someone love me or like me or want me in some primal way. It may hurt, but I cannot make that handsome boy want to hold my hand or brush my hair back behind my ear. I can only struggle on. I can only work within myself. I can only try every God damn day to hold my head up, keep my eyes fixed ahead, a give the world the best smile I have. I and I alone can bring myself out of the safety of my bedroom and into the bright world that lies beyond that locked door.
I often find myself alone with nothing more than my thoughts and the ever-strong glow of a computer screen. But no longer will aloneness be the constant in my life. It is true that never having known the caress of a man’s hand on my thigh doesn't make me any less of a woman, but I fear that if I stay confined within myself much longer I will begin to become less of a human. A flower cannot grow if it retracts its leaves and petals every time it feels the warmth of the sun or the kiss of a gentle spring rain.
And I want to grow. I want to grow so tall and blossom so big and beautifully that every place on earth is touched by my shadow at some point in the day. And I will grow. I will push myself and share myself with the world, and finally
know the closeness and comfort of love and honest, unabashed companionship.

Days of glory

Days of glory

These days when women get tortured, torched and raped
In democracies deemed the most enlightened
Remember glorious days women once shaped,
Being empowered and liberated no end

In my matrilineal* clan; where they flourished
In joint homes, respected, loved and well nourished
Didn’t need to leave home , owned family estates
Kicked and took husbands to suit their tastes and states.

9th Jan 13.

Form : Rispetto: Rhy Sch:a-b-a-b-c-c-d-d/ 11 sylls per line

PS:* We not long ago had a matrilineal line of inheritance where women played key, powerful familial roles in large joint families headed by a maternal uncle-like figure where men were supposed to work and provide for them, protect and respect them. Women never left homes after marriage, and were free to reject and receive their husbands as they pleased.

Lady Cop in a SUV

The other day I was a cruising, right on down the street.
And I did spy a cop car, plainly marked, yes, an SUV.
Now I would swear that I really saw a Lady Cop inside.
A Lady Cop inside an SUV? Yes, that’s what I really saw.

Now that’s a really tough job, even, at the best of times.
And I don’t want to make fun of women, in this work line.
I’m sure they must be tougher than all the rest, to get respect.
They probably work their tails off, for promotions, theirs to get.

And I sure doubt I would get a pass on any tickets, either, to be true.
I just can’t shake the image, of a soccer mom, my mind keeps going to.
I know it’s wrong… I know… I know… this I really… shouldn’t say…
But I feel it’s right to call her a ‘Soccer Mom Cop’, some how, this way.

I know… I know… But ‘Soccer Mom Cop’ keeps rolling, in my head.
And God help me, she may not understand, if she hears, what I just said.
All I hope is she won’t hunt me down, to lavish tickets, in recompense.
But I mean it, in the nicest way; though to you, it may not make any sense.

Independent Woman

The day I was a baby I looked up to everybody and depended on everyone as well

I grew into my childhood, learning right from wrong

Years more into my adolescence knowing who was really there and who to hang around

But the day I became a woman you realized I don't depend on anyone and really no need to look up to anyone because I have my head on my shoulders and
I contain the true aspects of a woman

For all the years I've lived I've also learned the reality of life and no need to live life with any regrets

No Regrets -w

When I look back to the past,
I feel I have drank the cup of
Life fullest to its brim.

I have taken life as it came,
Knowing this to be the only life,
Like a dress rehearsal of a drama.

I have seen lands and countries,
Met people of different cultures,
Thus enjoying the god’s bounty.

I have received the fullest love,
From the women I loved & cared
And from the women who loved me.

From my children & grandchildren,
Never expected to live to see, yet got it,
All the good things of life.

I have taken life as it came to me,
And have never questioned God's territories
My muse has been always activated.

If a woman's body is her own, can’t she decide to remove what's grown? Yet an abortion’s not so simple, a zygote is more than a pimple. Must motherhood be thrust upon her, a woman is much more than a cur. And if human life’s precious to us, do we have the right to treat her thus? A fetus is a living being, and its life should warrant some meaning. Yet a woman's decision must count, for it's her soul that's called to account. When a woman's health is what's at stake, should moral objections then negate? And if taking a life is a sin, just when does a human life begin? Should guilt be stored in a woman's heart, though it threatens to tear it apart? And what if it were your daughter’s voice, pleading for her right to make a choice?

I Am Woman

I am Woman.
I am domesticated woman constantly dusting off cobwebs of infidelity.
Tears pace down my cheeks but no, I'm fine.
It's merely thick dusty layers of despondency.

Through scorching barren deserts she walks wither soles leather, face wrinkled, skin creased, smile inverted, eyes downturned with not a single drop in sight like the desert she walks through.
Her only condolence is knowing uba uspho lwakhe lume ngaye, inhliziyo yakhe iethe-ethe ebeleke usana lwakhe emqolo.
I am not privileged enough to call myself womankuba andikayazi inhlungu yobayintwakazi, umzali ne gqhiyazan.

You see, the mercilessness of memory takes her back to the day of the night she cried herself to sleep,
Hoping everything would turn out right,
But all she had to show for it came morning was nothing but a bloodstained pillow which she hung on the washing line.
I am woman

You are phenomenal woman.
The clod steel claws of unkindness ripped her heart out
Ngosuku awathy ndlela'nhle kuyise wosapho lwakhe.
All her creased hands cling onto at night is hope,
Please deliver her for her heart is too dainty.

Qina gqiyazana, qina nwakazi ngoba inyembezi zegqiyazana aziweli phantsi.
Beautiful woman with your barren soul,
Are phenomenal woman.

White Saree

You my friend In White Saree and grim faced
Your dresses were, as always, colorful and laced
What happened to that enchanting, infectious smile?
Where is that enthusiasm, your charming style

Death is a reality and everyone must die
The living ones mustn't be left for agony to fry
Humans are not candles that burns through the night
Tell me why widowers are not made to wear White

Why should only women this branding endure
They are also human with a heart and soul for sure
Change this White Saree and in the garbage throw
This is how a system that is archaic must go

Come to me, my love, let me teach you what is life
Your being mustn’t be embodiment of agony and strife
Give up this white coffin and wear red, scarlet and pink
The fountain of life is gushing out; it is for you to drink

Let us, like our olden days, in horizon of thoughts fly
Life’s rainbows await you; so do colors of butterfly
Shed your gloom and let the roses of your cheeks blossom
Walk along the valley of life hand in hand with a handsome

1. Widowed women wear only white in Hindu Religion
2. Saree is the dress of Indian and Bangladeshi women

The Cowardice of the Taliban and The Silence of The Good Muslims

The Cowardice of the Taliban and The Silence of The Good Muslims.

When hot lead tears the flesh of a 14 year old girl,

ripping through her skull,
leaving her to bleed out and die,

does Allah not recoil in horror,

to see His child whimper,
to see His daughter cry.

Where is the indignation,

the anger that often boils over and manifests itself as flags and books and videos are burnt in mass orgies of hollow piety,

where are the voices that scream so loud,
that denounce all but their own creed,

where are the men, the impotent men who crave for nothing more than their fascist egos to feed,

where are the voices that so loudly proclaim,
enemies here and enemies there, always quick to condemn,

where are those voices when the enemy walks amongst them.

14 year old Malala Yousafzai was shot in cold blood,

her crime?

Advocating the rights of girls to an education.

Shame on you, men of bigotry and men of cowardice.

Shame on you, silent and mute accomplices in this carnage.

Shame on me,
for my inaction,

Shame on us all,
who proclaim lofty ideals,

yet are conspicuously silent,

when a 14 year old girl is shot in the head,

by fascist fundamentalist bigots who only worship bullets of hot lead.

Not in my name!

Not in my name,
shall the cowardly men rain down abuse,

Not in my name,
shall the bigoted men light the communalistic fuse,

Not in my name,
shall Malala Yousafzai be shot in the head,

left to bleed out,
while countless mothers' tears are shed,

not in my name,
shall religious murderers,
be left to wander free,

not in my name,
for I dare all believers to open their eyes,
to see!

To see,
the innocence of a 14 year old girl,
wanting only an education,

as the men of the cloth,
prance around with their pathetic self-righteous indignation.

I write this today,
the anger raging in my veins,

yet I fear,

that I shall write more of this,

unless we stand up and say 'no more',

I fear that I shall be writing this again,

until we all,

reclaim the true principles of humaneness,

until we silence the voices of bigotry,
of rage,
of fanatical insanity,

I fear I shall be writing this again,

until the muck-ridden bile,
is not excised,

I shall continue to say,

Or else I shall have nothing,

but my unending shame.

(for Malala Yousafzai, 14 years old, in a critical condition after being shot in the head by the Pakistani Taliban, for her work as a young activist advocating the rights of girls to attend school)

Come and Go Chicago

Come and Go Chicago – Zamreen Zarook
Where are you going my lady?
Where are you from my sweetie?
What ever you ask my buddy,
You won’t get the paddy.
She became a liar,
Because of your chore,
Two questions that you murmur,
Master, don’t forget that you were the rear.
You became a sinner,
Without knowing what is inner,
Now you know the manner,
So, never to forget the dinner.

Cease to care for those questions,
Nothing you gain from the considerations,
Everyone has their own equations,
So,they do have their explanations.

I blame me

I blame me for all my mistakes
I blame me for all the rejection and heartache
I blame me for all the times I stayed silent
and should have started and earthquake
with my words
I should have spoken up when I had the chance
now all those thoughts are wasted
unspoken, unheard

I blame me when my husband touches me
and I feel the hands of a predators pounce
And I blame me when the pressure it on
because all I had to do was shout out and renounce His name
Lord, help me to get rid of the shame

I blame me for my loneliness
I blame me for my feelings of lust
I blame me when I look at myself and see absolute disgust
I blame me when I shut down - unsure of who to trust
At times not even sure if I really know how to love

I blame me when my kids are crying out sick
because when I brought them here
I knew that this world was unfit
Yet overpowered by my love for them
I became more and more protective
So I blame myself in advance for their sadness
when they finally see that the world is not objective

I blame me for those nights I can't rest
Wondering if my consciousness has finally realized
that I have done my best
to stay positive and have good intentions
So I blame myself when I give in to temptations and my human inhibitions
and begin to feel ashamed of myself
I begin to feel like I don't have enough strength to love myself
good things don't happen for me
So I blame me for my thinking and feelings of worthlessness

It's a big world and my lonely soul has no more confidence
I have nothing
I have given up
and so I blame me for my incompetence and my soul's rut

Life without You

Life without you is plain and boring
I find myself thinking about you and I am snoring
It’s like going back to work after a long holiday
I think about you each and everyday
My heart for you is love
You are a gift from above
With you in my life, great memories can be made
Those great memories will not fade.
You are someone I want to come to
I cannot live my life without you

Widow's Peak

Her name is now a legend
Before her name was feared
The lady Henrietta
Lean close and lend an ear

They say her status started
One night long time ago
She found her husband cheating
With the girl she knew next door

Her mind did snap
Her heart grew cold
With a knife she stole their souls
Cut the beating heart away
Ate flesh when cold

Within her veins flowed the blood
Of the one who done her wrong
Gave her everlasting life
Her age in death was old

But one small thing that should be said
About the spell she cast
That beauty would always be her guide
In death she looked her best

Word spread quickly through the town
Where Henrietta lived
About the spell she cast the night
Her husband committed sin

Women came to ask for help
To change their husband’s ways
For they had also messed around
Now love for them had strayed

With each one she gave the spell
Steps to end their grief
Now in the town such beauty found
In women who’s husbands cheat

With new found beauty each started life
Fresh and young again
And if the man they loved did cheat
Revenge was sweet again

Many many years went by
And soon the town was gone
Towards the end all that was left
Were women who were scorned

But in woods outside the town
In a placed called Widow’s Peak
You find plots of all the ones
Whose death came from a cheat

So this story lives today
If you doubt then ask around
For the one you love and share a life
Could be a widow from that town

All men beware all women ask
Before you start your cheating
In every city and every town
A Widow’s Peak is forming

Believe me if you will or not
In the end you’ll heed the warning
Just let the one you love find out
To Widow’s Peak you’re going

One Hundred

One Hundred
By Nate Spears

One hundred percent has been missing
Since one hundred percent of the beginning
A large percent has been given
A large percent has vanished

Which leads me to think
The fool isn’t played
The fool is in living
Adam was the fool
For the rib he was giving
To his wife,
Starving generations with sin
In life

In a world of hard times
The snake rule will end
Head less; or heart less
Without it; regardless
You’re dead
On this earth we stand
As is in heaven

This Stupid Heart

(The disappoinment of a Sugar-Dad)

You said you’re shy but just tried the guts
As you need some aid for this and that.
If I should give in don’t think you’re smart,
But because you’re dear to this stupid heart.

The melodramas and pity claims;
I have the feel for those lousy schemes.
I’ve known the motives in your every plea
Because I was not born just yesterday.

You think am dumb but I’m not a fool;
Am not supposed to play this role.
The humiliation of doing so;
I just wonder if you can stand to it too.

I hear the laughter and the prejudice
Of my trying hard that you’d be pleased.
I am not apt for some return,
If you can’t thank at least don’t scorn.

The silent corner that I am staying in
Have known the pain I kept within.
I broke its silence with my big deep sigh
When I remember your blatant lies.

Though I have doubts if you’ll ever cry
To hear me gone or see me die.
But when love is real; though the soul is frail,
This stupid heart still wishes you well.

The day is hot and two women at their mid 30's took a shade in my shop. I just can hear what they were talking about. The one told the other how his old foreigner fiance would cry when she would threaten of leaving him if the latter would not provide her what she needed. My goodness.....

Standing at a crossroads

Standing at the  crossroads of life
I wonder which path I will take
The one that makes life easy
Or the one to happiness.

The easy path will take me to
A life of ease and riches
Where work conditions are perfect
Making life  go without hitches

The path to happiness is paved
With heartache along the way
But when you get to the end  of the journey
Your heart with be wanting to stay

So i stand and wonder And wait
Knowing that i will be shown the way

The path to easy living
Is to work in a hospital near by
Have satisfaction in my work
But I would be living a lie

The path  that leads to  happiness
Will take me far away, to  a poor country
Where the women need my help as a midwife
Where many  babies an mums now die

I will run the gauntlet of many men
Who class women as lower than  cattle
Not having  help in an way so they die
I know i will have to battle.

To set up a clinic where i can help
Give advice  on keeping things clean
Helping the health of the starving
Showing where to begin.

Be their midwife when needed
For now so many more die than live
When complications arise
But with  help from above they'll survive

My head and heart are in conflict
My family say don't depart
But I have to live with my self
Follow whats in my heart

So I have  bought a  ticket
To foreign soil i must go
If i only help just a few
I will have tried thats all I know.

Prized Possession

Prized Possession

When was it that society and religion
Became so afraid of the sexuality of women

Or was it just men who became afraid

Trapping and turning beauty into pornography
To suit the idealism of a capitalistic
Made women its prized possession

There was once spiritual prowess in her nakedness
Once long ago
The symbol of womb and breast
Gave birth to life

And a possession was once the sexual expression
Of both women and men
In an essence of a spiritual unity
Defined by the pleasure both received
In giving to life

So how did sex become a sin
Dirtied by morals
And then sold in a tin
Of instant readily affordable self gratification
When did your own sexuality
Become a commodity
For them to sale

And poor Eve, lead mankind to ruin
And she alone made responsible for the fall from Eden
So shall she pay the price in cultural centuries
Of Christian and Muslim oppression

Such is the weakness of men
That by muscle alone defends them
Such is the weakness of men
That their God must of course; be a man
Such is the weakness of men
That in the face of beauty
It must be their possession

Such is my contempt of those men
Who cannot comprehend
Where their own lives began
And who’s wives and daughter now exists
In a poor excuse for love and worship
Trapping and turning beauty into pornography
To suit the idealism of a capitalistic
Made women its prized possession

Scars of an Inner Child

You are not the man, you want to be
You said you were my Father, till, I discovered different
Enduring, daily beatings
Bashing the living day lights, out of a woman and a child
Repetitive, bad ass attitude, nasty streak
Mean and aggressive!
Fists, knives and guns, your weapons of chose
Out of control, abusive, devious
Relentless, over – bearing!
Breaking me, piece by piece
Confusing a child, with unhealthy love
Hand fed your bullshit, brain washed
Using me as your human, punching bag
This innocent child’s blood, staining your callas hands
My child’s curiosity, asking you one day
“Why do you hurt me and Mum?”
Your retort: “I am not your blood!”
I didn't understand, back then
Now, as an adult, I clearly understand!
Believe me, when I say
There was never a day that went past
That you didn't remind me of that!
My freedom, restrained
My sanity, tested
Caged, like a wild bird in captivity
Behind bars, looking out
Here, I am today, free from your grip
Nursing, this inner child’s, bleeding love

Strength Through Struggle

Your path may be rocky and tough right now. But one day soon, He’ll show you how, to seek His comfort and His love. It’s time to pray to God Above. You’ve been given “Wings” to help you fly. Now’s not the time to question why. Accept with gratitude the gifts you’re shown, and simply know, you’re not alone! His Angels are working, both day and night, to comfort you and relieve your fright. You’ve gone through some suffering and some pain. Now it’s your time to come in from the rain. With open arms they welcome you, Alone or with children, but there’s work to do. Awaken each day and see these gifts. Then share yours with others and your spirits will lift. For through His Grace you have a new day, But remember to thank Him as you pray. One day you will fully see your place, And know that through struggle, you’ll soon see His Grace!

One Pen

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

To write the pain a deff
man can't hear speak what a blind can't see. Uncover the truth and hide the lies we tells as a society.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

Get the word out to the
ghetto that there is a
better place. We don't
have to reach heaven
to see it. We killing our
brothers and sisters over
colors don't make sense.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

To tell my brothers behind bars a strong body has no comparsion to a weak mind. Do time don't let time do you.

All i need is one pen, one piece of a paper just one.

Send all the women with children a happy day mothers day letter, even if it aint may.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

One shot of that liquor thats infecting my liver but only way ill spill out all these words. Sober thoughts i could only speak intoxicated. One doctor for a liver-transplate if this one shall fail on me.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

One chance to reach for the stars and pull one down. Show the world no task is impossible to accomplish. Stay motivated stay determined no telling what you can achieve.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

One voice one prayer to ask God to forgive you and i for our sins. See none of us is perfect and this world aint either.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

One pen to bleed on that one piece of paper just one so one soul can finally be let free. show others many ways you paint without a brush.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

To read my motivational speech to the men and women serving our country. May i give them strenght to come back home to their love ones.

all I need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

One man hating, one woman loving me. One whip no chains im so free.

All i need is one pen, one piece of paper just one.

Success wouldn't mean much if i couldn't write about it.

Nothing in this world is more important than one pen one piece of paper. thats all i need just one.

You and I

You and I.

Your heart blazed,
with a warmth of spirit,

soaked in truth.

Your smile burned,
branding me permanently,

enveloping my being.

Your love was complete,
from the depths of your soul,

yet fierce,

bathed in silent knowing.

Your dreams were poetic,
fluttering in the afternoon breeze,
infused with the distilled essence of rhyme.

I squandered your generosity of spirit.

I vainly discarded your priceless poems.

Now I stand,

wasting away,

rotting inside, day by day.

Relationship Epidemic (Females)

I'm now in the 3rd chapter of the Relationship Epidemic as I focus on the role of the female
They say one man's trash is another man's treasure, so my girl is my seashell
Since before time, women were loyal before a man is
The backbone of a family, hello, they give birth to the kids
They rarely get lazy
Unlike men who complain about labor pains, but can't show you the baby
Being deprived of attention is what a woman can't stand
If you can't keep up, they grab another dude by the hand
Females left and right can be lovable
As well as gullible
Giving, receiving, and at times also
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" saying is so true
Bite her first she'll bite back twice as hard shame on you
If there's one thing they hate
Is never being on a date
Never comfortable with a nice night in the house
Because they feel trapped like a mouse
That's what I see with girls that are younger
More likely to look for love in the wrong places to satisfy that hunger
When they get cheated on
Or beaten on
They can't trust a male so they turn lesbian or bisexual
Love/sex life is more perpetual
That vision can be perplexible
However it makes life more flexible
It's easy to understand why they want the finer things in life
After all who doesn't, it cuts like a knife
They value commitment, its extensive
We all know women are sensitive
All of that serotonin in the brain
Mistrust on her heart, what soap will wipe off that stain
Mothers, sisters, wives bring some of the pain
Aunts, girlfriends, grandmothers turn snow into rain
A female will never love you in vain
They crave attention, if they don't get it they feel shame
Cheat on a guy and say they're the one to blame
Messed up right?
Do the Right Thing like Spike Lee
No, that's ok girls rather be sneaky
Coretta Scott King, she's so royal
Even after Dr. King got shot, she stayed loyal
Asked my girl if I died, will she get over me
She said not so quick
Replace me? Who will?
That's a different pick
But that's neither here nor there
Good and bad females everywhere
Love attracts girls like plants and meat attracts bears
They can be a man's best friend
To the end
As well as nightmare
Break a woman's heart if you dare

When a woman loves a man

When a woman loves a man.

I went to the perfumer to make me a scent
to please the woman I love, she is Godsend!

He said I will make you a scent no woman has ever wore,
and in replace you must give me your soul.
I said my soul I don't own it belongs to my creator whom I belong,
But instead I will give you my land and my home.
Because when a woman loves a man it is all he needs
first to build her a home in his heart, then wherever she may please!

Will You Travel With Me To Heaven PART TWO

A God who is not a human
Not a soul or created thing
A God who always hears and sees
Yet we cannot hear or see Him

A God who tests us, hence we cannot
See Him, a God who never lies
A God without human weakness
-Not Born- A God who does not die

A God who made us with a purpose
To worship Him, worship Him alone
A God who wants us to be Muslims
And Heaven our Eternal Home

By worshiping only One God
And following God's Rules and Laws
Allah is He. God is Allah.
Allah: The God who has no flaws

Allah is not the God of Arabs
Not all Arabs believe in Him
Allah is the God of all of us
Who made everyone and everything

If you ask 'why the name Allah? '
I ask you, why's your name your name?
Imagine your teacher says 'I'm Jane'
If you disbelieve you could be 'lame'

She says, 'Class, I'm Jane; I'm your teacher'
You say, 'I don't want a teacher 'Jane''
Your teacher says, 'my name is Jane'
You say, 'Don't teach, unless your name is changed'

If one has done that, they have rebelled
They're arrogant; they want attention
If you're a troublesome student
Then all you get is detention

So if Allah says that He is God,
That Allah is God, and God Allah
Then believe in God, worship Allah
To avoid Hell and its boiling lava

Allah is One, the Only True God
Allah created you and I
Allah has no children nor wife
Allah needs no bodyguard nor spy

Allah is One, God is Just One
I said 'One God', not 'God in Three'
One God who rules the whole universe
'More than many gods'? How can that be?

If there were many gods as some claim
The whole world would be upside down
False gods would vie with one another
As kings would fight for the same crown

God has no son. God has no daughter.
God has no wife, God did not marry
God is too Powerful and Perfect
God does not weaken nor get lonely

God is Allah, Allah the True God
If you now believe, please testify
That there is no god but Allah
And God was never crucified

Once you have recognized Allah
Remember that Allah has Rules
Rules that must be followed by all
All of God's servants, including you

God commanded us to pray to Him
To Pray to Him each day and each night
To worship Him our Creator Allah
Is the reason why God gave us life

Tales Of A Computer

My love for you has never swayed
I took my vows I promised it all
I opened my heart I took down the sheild
I was in love head over heel
You loved me to, or so I throught
Then the day came it wasn't me you sought
There were many other women you wanted to feel
You didn't care who they were or what they brought
I was here for you, but you wanted them all
Oh what a tale that computer did tell
While I was hurting and crying
You were typing and playing
For years you had been doing it
My pain to you didn't matter a bit
your cold heart is all I ever got
On other women you wanted your warm body and hands so hot
This was the crummy hand I was dealt
Because you wanted all those notches on your belt
I was here for you, but you wanted them all
Oh what a tale that computer could tell
You were so cruel to me, not a nice word to say
All along you were planning your day
You would be with another, giving her your all
There was no time for me big or small
You typed and played while I had to stand tall
I was here for you, but you wanted it all
Oh what a tale that computer did tell

My SLAM 2 Me (How PD's should have been, but PD's too weak)

BILLYtheKidster, BILLYtheCryBaby, BILLY, the pathetic loser that is he.
So you lost your oldest son to someone driving while drunk
and now you sit around appearing so sad, just to attract attention from everyone.
Pretending to still be in mourning the loss of your son
you've managed to seduce many women.
To think this young man once called you DaD. You Do Not Deserve Such A Son!
and your other son, the surviving one?
theKidster drove his son into the incurable mental disorder known as schizophrenia everyone.
This child's suffering never ends
What does theKidster do? theKidster abandons.
theKidster puts his so called loved son into an institution
and now never pays a single so called DaD Moment with him.
theKidster has driven his son possibly into permanent vegetation.
The child is now an adult. Not once has Kidster visited him.
You drove him to this and then you abandon him.
You're the lowest of the lowest Kidster. You're beneath being humane,
and Kidster, what about all of those great women who tried to help you?
How did you show towards them your attitude?
More times than none you were ungrateful and rude
So many women loved you and you let them all down.
You are a true SKUmkBAG Cleator. You take the crown.
These women are now dead that you claimed to love,
but you never loved any of them, with you it was always lust never love.
All they ever wanted was to make you happy and you smacked them in their face.
You deserve to go to hell Kidster. You're a human disgrace.
Your so called best Friend Sonny killed himself. Suicide wasn't it?
You pretended to mourn, but you really didn't give two bits.
If you truly had given a true thought to your so called best friend
you would have taken the time to speak with him and find out what was troubling him,
but no, like all the others you too abandoned him.
You left Sonny feeling as if he truly had no one, so his life he did end,
and you claim still to this day that Sonny's your long missed friend.
You are the lowest of hypocrites Kidster and like all true hypocrites,
I know how your life will end.
All bets are open everyone,
I'm giving great odds on this one
I'm betting that when the Kidster, alone, miserable comes to see what he has truly done
theKidster will one night blow his own brains out, with his own finger triggering the gun.
and then all of our dealings with the Kidster will all be done.
God Riddance BILLYtheKidster. Rest In Eternal Torment! C'mon, Join Me Everyone!

We’ll be talking
About boys and toys.
But hey, it’s your choice.
We’ll be talking,
Raising our glasses
As high as we raise our voices.
We’ll be talking
For the rest of our lives,
And I hope our conversations
Will always end in rejoice.

What's Happening to Marriages Today

What’s Happening to Marriages Today?

I was listening to someone just the other day…
And I couldn’t believe what he had to say!

He had left his wife and children for another!
She was young enough to be his daughter!

Here they were, “in love” and holding hands!
Hoping to soon, get their “wedding bands!”

They were pretending that this was so “cool.”
Living now by their own “set of rules!”

How sick and disgusting this is getting to be!
Is this something that many can’t see?

God gave us Adam and Eve to become one.
To bear fruit through daughters and sons!

He gave us marriage as holy vows are made.
Not to march in an “adulterous parade!”

We are treading on very dangerous ground!
Faithfulness and commitment
are scarcely found!

The very definition of marriage is changing!
As the family unit is always rearranging!

Our only hope is in Jesus! And him alone!
Let’s promote his love! Into our hearts and home!

Let’s allow his love to be our heart’s glue!
And bring new meaning to the words; “I love you!”

May his love bind our hearts and lives together!
And remain faithful to each other forever!

and I will come

…and I will come.
When the first snow falls down/
when the fall gives its rights/
to the winter/
you know I will come/
for good or for bad/
I’ll board the train/
Passing by / stations/ and countries/
I promised/ and I remember/
You said “there’s no fortuitous meetings/

…and I will come.
When the first snow falls down/
When you’ll lose the trace/
When my firmest snickers/ wipe out/
I will/ I will come…
Unexpectedly/ knowing solely the door/
Just the road / for sure/
Before/ take you I’ll ask/
“are you ready to go?” /
You are ready/ I know/
All the noise doesn’t matter/
I don’t haste/ will be later/

…I will come.
When it finally turns out/
That November is overthrown by December/
When the first snow falls down/
Will be clear/ that nobody is remembered/

And I will come…
Somewhere in chest/ between ribs/
You slashed me/ with thoughts/
I can feel it with lips/ crawling under my cloths/
Our world is alive/ our life/ we’re alike/
And I….

I will come.
When the first snow falls down/
When the death is changed into fate/
When the winter gives up/
To wait/ for spring/
to stay with shining sun/
I will come.

Defend Yourself Women

Being a woman has its challenges at times,
We're always working hard to only get a couple dimes.
But “man's” comments make me thrive,
Especially the ones about the way we drive.
But put yourself in our shoes and see with what we're dealing,
Then try to say women have too many feelings!
I hear we're suppose to stay in the kitchen to cook and clean,
That's funny! You clean up your mess and make it gleam!
I'm not going to be pushed around! I'm in charge of my life!
If you don't like it-then go find yourself a different wife!
Yes, there is equal rights and opportunities for women and men,
But one day women will be the rulers and men will obey us until the end!

My Madness, Me

My Madness, Me...

Confined by this straight-jacket,
strapped in, numb and dumbed,
a washed-out, has-been, also-ran,

body, eyes, the equilibrium of mind,
rattling like stones in an old tin-can.

Still, I am,

I am,

and I am unchained,

my dreams taking flight, soaring,
above these claustrophobic walls,
of synapses, and dungeons of stone,

swooping through green valleys,
taking a detour to savour the joys,

soaked in torrential, evergreen memories,
of a younger man, with passion in his bone.

I am.

My wings unclipped, unshackled, free,

I am, and though I am unable to see,

I am.

At long last,

Mineral Baths - Saratoga Springs NY

Mineral Baths Saratoga Springs NY

She covers her private
parts at the bath house.
Mineral water fills a tub,
centuries old.
She feels cold until
an old Women hands
her heated sheets...
now, her skin covered.
Brought her clips to lift
her auburn hair.
The sheets cooled as the
tub, now filled.

A stray cat
peers into the window...
purrs, kissing glass.
The old Women
removes the sheet, takes
the hand of a young lady
as she carefully
steps into aged porcelain.
Tiny bubbles
surround her skin.

A soft pillow for her head...
Now, relax. . . she tells herself,
dreaming of the
cat kissing glass. . .
alone, at last.

Dreams of Zydeco

I've been up a bit and down
a bit and hung around
in river towns, when glory days
and gamblin' boats were beauty to behold;
long and sleek with shapely curves
and ripe just like a lady
in the bloomin' blush of prime.

Standin' high n' mighty.......she
was glidin' through the water,
lookin' every bit a woman,
feelin' fancy-free and proud.
A sacred shroud a-movin'
on the Mississippi highway,
shinning like a diamond,
in the moonlight headin' south.

Been livin' on the river most
my life. I've seen bout' everything
the river lets you see.
Winona, Minnesota, south
to Memphis, Tennessee.
Down to Shrievport, Lousianna, where
shrimpers float their bayou boats
and freighters sail the sea.

Nawlin's cajun cookin
be my comfort company,
along with Creole women
givin' spice of life to me.
The dancin' bands play Zydeco
and sing about the legendary
swamp-witch history.

The river women love me
and I tell you this I know
'cause up and down the river, river
women tell me so.
Spent my gambin' days in Natchez,
Mississippi, don't ya see,
where fine up-standin' ladies
mixed with riff-raff just like me.
Had a time or two of trouble, but
young men with a temper
can test trouble easily.
I spent some time from livin'
doin' labor for the man,
but when my time was over
and the man had cut me loose,
I left my youth behind me
and my river life began.

Born in Chauvin, Lousianna,
back in nineteen forty-three,
a bayou boy who found his joy,
dreamin' dreams of river queens,
and hopin' glory days were on their way
so he could walk the river block
and smell the rare and richer air
of up-north Baton Rouge.
Then gaze and praise her majesty;
the lady, Mississippi, flowin' south into the sea.

With cajun music ragin'
in my bones of 16 years;
and fantasies of youthful truth
now burnin' in my soul,
I left my home in Chauvin,
on my way to Baton Rouge,
to search the Mississippi for my dreams of Zydeco.

No one ever told me when I grew up things would be this hard.
No one ever knew.
Everyone just took one day at a time, being a puppet and working for lard.
No one ever knew.

Now here I am, living my life day to day in sickness more than health.
Who never knew?
I have to get out of here, my children my health.
I knew.

It has taken over my body, it has made me incapable.
I know now.
The pain I ensure everyday has never been measurable.
I know now.

This is my life, this is how it'll end.
I'm very confused.
Where's my Angel that the heavens sent?
I no longer know.

I dress the way I do on stage
To transport you to another age
Where wild women of the west
Proved they stood among the best
They rode boot to boot along side the men
Riding broncs to hell & back again
They wore skirts, jodhpurs, flowers & frills
Had more than their share of thrills & spills

When you see me here, I hope you recall
Those women who rode proud & tall
Tad Lucas on Midnight, crow hopping & smiling
Fox Hastings, in feathers & flowers, beguiling
Mitzi Lucas Riley, her death defying grace
On galloping horse, a suicide drag, & mesmerizing face
Marge Greenough on Boxer, that gal could really fly
Nancy Sheppard with her spinning ropes, gravity defied

On the day to day, I wear a different look
Still different from those Cowboys you see in picture books
Dusty boots, faded jeans & a cowboy hat, of course
If I dressed the way I do on stage it would amuse my horse
I grew up in the Wild West, or what there is of it now
I learned to ride at an early age & know my way around a cow
I don’t have a need for wooly chaps, my shotguns work just dandy
If I wore woolies, the cactus would soon look like cotton candy

My childhood heroes included those dazzling rodeo gals
I spent many a Saturday morning as Roy & Dale’s Saddle Pal
But the role models that I still look up to today
Have quietly gone about their lives, living the Cowboy way
There’s Georgie Sicking, still going strong in Kaycee
As tough as they come, she always demands the best from me
Sister Bourne, her laughing eyes & ready wit
For forty years taught in one room schools, in her there was no quit

There are many others who have helped me along the way
Their stories are for another time, another place & day
Today I’ll weave for you a tapestry of Western Rhyme
Of rodeo’n, romanc’n & remember’n & a simpler time
There is magic in the West, I find it every where
It is that magic & my memories, that with you I will share
So settle in & enjoy the ride, for I know I have brought my best
As I stand here on this stage, a Wild Woman of the West

The Rich Get Richer the Poor Get Poorer

They know all the loop holes for the IRS
Elaborate parties, tuxedoes and women in their 5,000 dollar dresses
A cardboard box, another statistic for the homeless
A corporate exec did a downsize today
The car repossessed, the house taken away
Sometimes reality is a person's real life movie of horror
The rich get richer, the poor get poorer
Some have never known to go to sleep without a meal
Our government turns a blind eye does not want to see what's real
America's rich worried about the homeless overseas
The poor get spitted in their faces by those wealthy celebrities
A billionaire wouldn't even foot the taxes for the cars she gave away
Never forget where you came from, you may have to return there someday
All the rich have a gold key to the IRS's back door
They know all the loop holes for the IRS
Elaborate parties, tuxedoes and women in their 5,000 dollar dresses
A cardboard box, another statistic for the homeless
A corporate exec did a downsize today
The car repossessed, the house taken away

They Left so Abruptly

They Left so Abruptly

(for the countless South Africans, of all colours, who dedicated their lives for freedom and democracy)

the valiant ones
many known
many more nameless

the truest sons and singers
husbands and poets
lovers and wives
daughters and farmers
workers and sisters
brothers and friends

they left so abruptly
with quiet pride
steely courage
gentle dignity

they left so abruptly
leaving us our tomorrows
filled with promise

they left so abruptly
so that we may breathe
the breath of liberty
the air of freedom
the warmth of justice

they left so abruptly
leaving with us their parting gift

they left so abruptly
yet we remember them all
in the days that slipped away
and in the many more that we await

they left so abruptly
yet they remain
hewed into our memories
etched in our consciences
engraved in our hearts
they left so abruptly
and yet they endure
with us
within us
now and forever more

Protect Me As I Sleep

Knows my real name
Is what I go by
I am freezing cold
I don’t have money
Just, the clothes on my back
I am a walking wardrobe
I am lonely
I smell like crap
I am starving hungry
I can’t find any shelter
My clothes are drenched
I look like a drowned rat!
Upon women
Is classed normal
Around here!
I wonder...
I will survive
Another day?
To wake up
Do this
All over, again!
“Protect me tonight
As,I lay my head to rest”
“I love you, dear God”

Once Upon a Time I was One of THEM

Eyes dry, I look out at THEM. They crawl in the dirt with a trail of tears shedding like a
long haired dog's coat in the summer time.
Anger build up inside of me as I watch THEM.
THEY are the women children of this world.

They want to be loved.

No. These poor creatures do not know what love is. They know of pain.
They know of rising waves and riptides of anger and desperation,
but not love.

To find this treasure that they have heard about their entire life they change.
Change like the leaves on a tree. With every man that comes their way the colors change.

I hate the sight of them. They sicken me. Why?
Once upon a time I was one of THEM.
Once upon a time I was lost too.
That person is dead now.
Now I have the skin of an Indian woman, but my heart remains soft.

Looking for happiness, these women children turn to him,
the one that brings nothing but pain. Their Frogs they try so hard to keep on their lily
pads. He swims off to the next one when he wants to get his feet wet.

Yes. My skin has grown tough, but my heart remains soft. He will not take that from me.
I stand strong and proud. May the fierceness in my soul boil over and illuminate the
passion that is me! I hold my head high and walk out of my house knowing.

I have that. I know that everything I have been through.
Every trial.
Every lie.
Every mistake.
Every tear.
Every scar.
Every rumor.
Every hurtful thing.
Every careless word.
Every scream.
Every man...
has made me what I am today.

May the light shine on my face as these tear tracked cheeks raise with smile. May the
strength within me help the others around me. For I know what I am.
I AM A WOMAN. Proud and Free.

Distant Love

Thousands of miles across the seas,
The woman I love is waiting for me .
How the distance between us seems so hard ,
I can smile on the outside but not in my heart.
In my arms I would hold her so very tight ,
Hugging and kissing her all through the night .
Laying there beside her so soft and warm,
How I thank the Lord the day she was born.
The Joy and happiness she brings to my life ,
Anxiously I am waiting to make her my wife.
As the bright moon's glow shines down on me ,
Warming and confirming me just what shall be.
Making memories of our love is what you will see,
Never forgetting the day she fell in love with me.
I will cherrish and love her till the end of all time
Hand & hand we 'walk showing the world she is mine.
My heart pounds hard & fast as I breathe with a sigh ,
How I fell so deeply in love when I look into her eyes .
But this woman I have fallen in love with you see,
Here she will begin the life that God had planned for me.

On Saturday, August 13, 2011, a tortured soul finally found celestial peace; an end finally came to a life ruined by domestic chaos, abuse and dysfunction. May your soul forever rest in the same tranquility, love and mercy you were so brutally and callously denied throughout your time in this realm. May your spirit forever take comfort in the warm and merciful embrace of the angels that at long last finally came and swept you away. Rest in peace Gerald, for you have finally made it home. In painful, yet loving memory of my brother, Gerald. 8/21/1966 ~ 8/13/2011 Camille Rose Castillo 2011
Note* "Men and women who have experienced interpersonal violence often have poorer health than their nonabused counterparts— and these effects last long after the abuse has ended. Moreover, abuse survivors are significantly more likely to have a number of serious illnesses and to die prematurely compared to non-abused people. They often experience increased rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, the precursor to type 2 diabetes. Studies show that men and women who had experienced four or more types of ACE were significantly more likely to have ischemic heart disease, cancer, stroke, skeletal fractures, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, and hepatitis. The types of adverse experiences included childhood maltreatment (physical abuse, psychological abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect), parental mental illness, parental substance abuse, and parental criminal activity."

There was a wonderful change in my life today,
A sense of something good comming my way.
It's been a long time comming and it's feeling right ,
I know this because I was able to sleep last nihgt.
Loving you has always been so easy for me ,
Holding on to you was very different you see.
Finally the clouds and stormy skies have cleared,
We can see it clearly now that it is so near.
For years we have struggled with this love we shared,
Only recently have the two of us become so aware.
Of what we truly feel for each other these days,
Leaving no doubts it was meant to be this way.
I love her more now then I ever have before ,
To think I was about to walk out that door.
She loves me I can feel her much closer now ,
The happiness I feel makes me scream aloud.
Telling everyone I have a wonderful thing,
The love of my Queen who has made me her King.
We will live our lives making all the memories ,
This love I have for you and you have for me.

Under Ground Cities

A man walks into a new generation gangster town,
there were guns, amoe, drugs, explosives, and allot of bad people, and that's all he found.
He looked around the streets and saw allot of African American people running the show,
he walks into one corridor and into another city, and he welcomed the flow.

The new city, to him it wasn't any different than the one he just came out from, there were Muslims,
they wore gold chains and hiphop music was playing every where, the mostly dealt cocaine, and said fuk them.
there women were so beautiful, they would walk around in heals and panties were ever they went,
the man walked though all the gorgeous women and thought to him self, "no I can't".

The man walks into a new city, he walked into "The Slums" it was the hardest and the baddest outlaws of the nations,
the man looked around and right away he did not like what he saw there, everything was dirty and without and patience.
He couldn't wait to get out of there, the women were nasty and smelled like they haven't showered in years,
The man put his head down and started walking out of the slums with nothing in his eyes but tears.

The man walked into "Siberia" Everyone living there saw the man come in and they all rushed to great him,
at first the man got a little scared, but than he saw there smiles, so he smiled back at them.
Everyone was living there was dancing to a death mettle Hip Hop music, while drinking and sniffing cocaine with a gun on there sides,
The man walks to the bar while looking at all the beautiful women that are dancing and giving him a sexy look.
Than the BOSS of the city comes up to him, pores him a drink and tells him how he is the BOSS of the whole West Coast,
the man looked at him and smiled, he put his hand around the boss, looked at everyone around and said, "Let's Toast".

Passion in D-Major

Passion in D-Major

Feeling, the sensuous brush-
strokes on a canvas,

to a symphonic crescendo,

of our shared heartbeats,

fading between the notes,

feeling your soft body entwined
with mine,

your form bathed in my infinite

our orchestral desire rising,

conducting a shared fusing of

... the music echoing ...

over the precipice,

on the brink of dazzling rainbow

lost in the void,
of an eternal instant,

plunging through the depths of

forever pleading,

for a prolonged,

bouquet of shared time.

Redundant Tragedies

Oh, how he loved you
How he took your wants
And made them his needs
How he wrestled with hunger
Before it fed on you
How he wiped your tears
To make trees grow
And you were love’s willing slave.

Before your moon turned to honey
His hands met your face
As you grew cold, bleeding
Blaming yourself for his bulge
For how could he be the same man
Who showed kindness
Be the one who gave you a shiner
It can’t be, it must be your fault.

Love has long became your tragedy
As this is will always be the last time
He gets angry and beats you,
Leaves you laying on the floor defeated,
And you have to tell us you run into a door .

My dearest friend If I can only say this :
That love will never be an excuse
That those apologies are empty
And meaningless as what you called love

White Saree

       White Saree

You my friend! In White(1) Saree(2) and grim faced
Your dresses were, as always, colorful and laced
What happened to that enchanting, infectious smile?
Where is that enthusiasm, your charming style?

Death is a reality and everyone must die
The living ones mustn’t be left for agony to fry
Humans are not candles that burn through the night
Tell me why widowers are not made to wear White

Why should only women this branding endure
They are also human with a heart and soul for sure
Change this White Saree and in the garbage throw
This is how a system that is archaic must go

Come to me, my love, let me tell you what is life
Your being mustn’t be embodiment of agony and strife
Give up this white coffin and wear red, scarlet and pink
The fountain of life is gushing out; it is for you to drink

Let us, like our olden days, in horizon of thoughts fly
Life’s rainbows await you; so do colors of butterfly
Shed your gloom and let the roses of your cheeks blossom
Walk along the valley of life hand in hand with a handsom

The Rambles Of Men and Women

My man seem to keep his emotions within,
thinking his woman cannot understand him
All I know is, sometimes he tells me things that’s untrue
I stare at him, like I can read his mind and then,
he will say I am acting like a sleuth
As my mother always says, just tell the truth

Our relationship can be on one accord,
If he stops, acting like it is a chore
I’m are here for him but he says, not
I try to do everything to hit that spot

Some of his male friends join in and say women do not care,
That is why they go out and have affairs
Nevertheless, women understand more than they know
That is why we have to pack and go,
So we will not continue to be their yoyos

Fresh and clean

I love the way she smells after a shower
so fragrant fresh and clean
and how she sits there
so beautiful

Her sweet perfume fills the room
and sets my heart on fire
heightening my senses
and filling me with desire.

For Mother Teresa

For Mother Teresa

to see...

the clarity of beauty between the murky folds of life

to see...

the simple truths of living
between the horror and the endless strike

to see...

the innocent smiles of the children at play
while the elder preach hate and division and continue to slay

to see...

the endless yearning for that simpler better place
away from the hollow emptiness of this ostentatious space

to see...

the open vistas of this pale blue dot
the soft reds and fruity greens as this home is all we have got

to see...

the tears of the dispossessed who have been cruelly cast aside
and while we look the other way from their tears we may never hide

to see...

the endless hunger and despair and killing and greed
in the name of God or of ideology or of some or the other creed

to see...

and to see it all

and still stand tall

to hold on to the humanity

that resides deep within us all

may be our only saving grace

and though all of this sounds quaint and saccharine sweet

I need to remember all that I've said

the next time I look into a teary-eyed desolate face

to see...

that being human is simple if we only look beyond ourselves and see

that we are all one, him and her and them and us and you and me...

I see beyond the mountains
The flat lands of my youth,
When women were heroic
And men were men in truth.

The land lay there unbroken
Until strong men like my dad
Determined to subdue it.
It could drive a woman mad.

The treeless plains were endless
Without a soul in sight.
Worst of all the drumming wind
Kept blowing day and night.

The railroads brought the settlers
In ever growing numbers.
At last she learned to just ignore
The wind that never slumbers.

An immigrant train from the East
Brought my daddy to the plains.
He had the brawn to win the land
With the help of sun and rains.

Nature was kind those first years.
The rains all came when due.
The Earth gave up her bounty
And he found my mama too.

She had come from Missouri
Along with her widowed mama,
Who had heard the milk and honey flowed
And Dakota skies held manna.

By time I came, the land was tamed,
The women more contented.
With neighbors closer every day,
Their hardships had relented.

I loved my lonesome prairie land
And the blue Dakota skies
But present home with mountain-view
Is where my allegiance lies.

Nobody Can

There is nobody in this world knows how I am feeling right now,
Trying to get it to all make some kind of sense from it some how.
Filled with deceptions and lies leaving me nothing for me to find,
One memory there is that is truly real cause there's none in my mine.
This sickening feeling overwhelms me making me cold to my soul,
I am surrounded by gloom and sadness the worst I've ever known.
How is it I am to suffer like this for loving with all my heart ,
Always protecting you and always been the light in your dark.
Why me with the love so true and a honest soul feel such pain,
I should feel the Sunshine in my life not tears that fall like rain.
Was it the blindness caused by her natural beautey and tender words,
Or is it that I have lied to myself for so long it was almost absured.
Difficult for me to face this grief that I had always anticipated,
The moment you came back into my life these days been pre dated.
It was Love itself I have wanted to bask in to know the Joy,
This despair , lonliness ,and all the nightmares I needed to avoid.
A wreck just waitng to happen and the wounds opened up again,
Never thinking of when all began only wanting it all to just end.
Days that will be lost and the memories you will never have,
It's the worst kind of emptiness and confusion I've ever had.
These times we share when we are alone and nobody around,
The thoughts we have of fantasies are somewhat profound.
Is there a lesson here to be learned and remembered ,
Or is it I am that lost soul that lonely Pretender.
This can't possibly be the very last and the end for me,
If so then it has always been what was meant to be.
When and how it all went wrong and strayed off course,
Something I will never know or do I want to anymore.
There is nobody that knows what I am feeling today,
I tried making sense of it and found that there is no way.
A fence that will never be mended or memories replaced,
Just a lonely life and a broken heart is what I must face .
Get on with my life pray for better days I must do,
How can I do that if it has to be without having you.

What Do You See

I found this old poem while helping to clean out a house that was vacant. I hope you
don't mind that I didn't write it but it was too awesome not to post. Enjoy--------

                                   What Do You See

What do you see, nurses? What do you see?
What are you thinking when your looking at me?
A crabby old women, not very wise.
Uncertain of habit, with faraway eyes.
Who dribbles her food and makes no reply.
When you say with your loud voice, "I do wish you'd try."
Who seems not to notice the things that you do,
and forever is losing a sock or a shoe.
Who unresisting or not lets you do as you will.
When bathing and feeding, the long day to fill.
Is that what your thinking, is that what you see?
Then open your eyes nurse, your not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am as I sit here so still.
As I drink at your bidding, as I sit at your will.
I'm a small child of 10 with a father and mother.
Brothers and sisters who love one another.
A young girl of 16 with wings on her feet.
Dreaming that soon now a lover she'll meet.
A bride soon at 20. my heart gives a leap.
Remembering the vows I primised to keep.
At 25 now I have young of my own.
Who need me to build a secure happy home.
A women of 30, my young now grow fast.
Bound to each other with ties that should last.
At 40 my young sons near grown will be gone.
But my man stays beside me to see I don't mourn.
At 50 once more babies play round my knee.
Again we know children, my loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me, my husband is dead.
I look to the future and shudder with dread.
For my young ones are busy rearing young of their own.
And I think of the years and the love that I've known.
I'm an old women now and nature is cruel.
It's her jest to make old age look like a fool.
The body it crumbles, grace and vigor depart.
There now is a stone where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass a young girl still dwells.
And now and again my battered heart swells.
I remember the joys, I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and loving life over again.
I think of the years, all the few--gone to fast.
And accept the stark fact that nothing can last.
So open your eyes nurses, open and see.
Not a crabby old women, look closer, see ME.

This poem was found among the effects of a patient who died at the Oxford
University Geriatric Service in England. Author is unknown.

Vula Amehlo - Zulu for open your eyes

Vula Amehlo (open your eyes)

"Vula Amehlo"is Zulu for "open your eyes"

Vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
though eyes aren’t needed to behold
the flowing tears of those of us, left out in the cold

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
the time to turn your back is long gone
no time now to pander and no time now to fawn

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
we the people are hungry, angry, and our skin is torn
though we say it loudly, unbowed we are, and not forlorn

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
we may be invisible and tucked away far from you
but we are here, still, waiting for the promise of freedom to come true

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
you see us sometimes, though you avert your gaze
come on now, compatriots, awaken from your complacent daze

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
we are the open wound that festers on your ostentatious display
band-aids won’t do anymore, we are here, and we are here to stay

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
as you roll down your windows and toss us some coins, look in our eyes
we are your slumbering consciences, we are the famished proof of your lies

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
forget us not as you tuck your pretty children in, and turn off the lights
we too are the children whose mothers, fathers fought for all our peoples’ rights

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
don’t think that we are bitter and livid for no reason or cause
we have been waiting and waiting, for days and a decade, without any pause

vula amehlo
sisters and brothers
vula amehlo
mothers and fathers
vula amehlo
brown and white and all shades of this rainbow so bright
we repeat what we said, we are not going to melt away into the night
vula amehlo
one and all
our patience is being tested from day to day, year to year
we have listened to your promises and we now demand that you hear
vula amehlo
open your eyes
and see us, and hear us clearly, and hear us today
band-aids won’t do anymore, we are here, and we are here to stay

vula amehlo
open your eyes

I dream of a world with no boundaries
No barriers to enclose me
No hatred and malice to burden me
No hype to entrap me
No prejudice to blind me
And no bigotry to limit my ability to love
Yes, I am a dreamer, of this I am sure

I dream of a world not fashioned by
The hands of man or brought
About by some ‘big bang’
A world where right is right and
Wrong is wrong and no gray areas abound
I dream of a world where children are always wanted
And not the outcome of someone’s lust or
Trophies to impress

I dream of a world where men and
Women, unconditionally, love
Where men are raised to stand
As men to love to protect and provide
Where women are raised to stand
As women to love to nurture and support
Where loyalty, justice, honesty, integrity
Live in the hearts of men
It is often said that dreams come through….
I guess I will keep on dreaming

Women made me

I focus on my attributes in hope to one day compete
With them so called, "players and g's"
A wide skill level, intelligent approach to life
From writing poetry to being the best in a fight

I raise my intellect because girls don't like stupid
Began to learn in order to help cupid
Various knowledge, gained just to impress
But i kept going, curious as to what i'll learn next

I play piano because i was inspired by movies
Where with a sweet song, you get that girl nice and gooey
She falls for you, and then you have your queen
And all you had to do was flick some keys

I blow that clarinet to use it like a net
Sweeping women off there feet with musical clefs
It feels nice as my fingers fly
Closing the keys and emitting soft sighs

At first i was focused on the women
Never having any i hoped this would attract them
Now i revel in it, i love the music
And so i have a whole different reason to do it

It was the same with sports, women love the stars
The athletes with chests and abs seen from afar
So i hit the field and began to improve
Proud of the new cuts and grooves

I started poetry with my first love note
Trying a new technique because nothing else worked
I began to enjoy so i continued to write
But my first poem was written because i wanted to be her knight

Without woman i'd of had no motivation
Never would of discovered my talents without inspiration
Besides without a woman i wouldn't be alive
So i have no respect for them rude guys

To all the ladies, i thank you and i hope you remain
Strong in relationships, please stay sane
And remember, not all of us are alike
You probably just overlook the guys that are nice

A few good Men

Chivalry isn't dead.
For I know a few good men.
The man who would open
every door
for you, adjust every seat, fulfill
every romantic desire. Who is
sensitive yet still strong and
masculine. For he know he
doesn't need his women but
wants her because life isn't the
same without a women's touch.
Hes the perfect balance of wit
and smarts as well as physically
stout. Clout like the great
bambino, Heart and honor like
the great King Arthur In
another life it was as if he
wielded a sword and shield .
Would protect innocent and live
for only the greater of good.
A man of god A man of life.
gentlemen are in hiding for the
definition of a "real women " is
now misunderstood for being a
" bad bitch" . As well as a "
real man" is misunderstood for
" a real nigga" or a "boss". I
don't want artificial happiness.
Money can't buy me love. But
these so called "females" can
be.. Something's missing
here?!? I want forever.. I want
unconditional, poetic love. A
soulmate.. True romance a
story book ending a queen.
We all want somebody to grow
old with but I will not accept
comfort. I won't accept nothing
less than extradonary. To this
feeling I am no stranger so it's
worth the wait. Chivalry isn't
dead... I'm here as living proof
for I know a few good men

Irreversible Reaction

Women in Afghanistan Commit Suicide to Escape Domestic Violence

It is estimated that 2,300 Afghan women attempt suicide every year, reports National Geographic. Between March 2009 and March 2010 alone, an estimated 103 Afghan women set themselves on fire, reports the Ministry of Women's Affairs in Time Magazine. Most women are successful in their efforts. It is believed that more than 80% of women who attempt suicide by fire or self immolation die, reports Time Magazine. ( Women's Revolution, Sunday, January 16, 2011)

By the side of you, rest of your life
She vowed you to share grief and strife
To be together until depart by death
She was the one who kept on you faith

Happy moments added to days and years
She brought up precious sons and daughters
To ease your life with every gladness
She swallowed silently any bitter soreness

She was to welcome weary you at the door
You were in torment, she made it pass slow
She assured when you suppressed in fate
She was really your faithful soul mate

Beach parties at every Saturday night
Camping, surfing and adventurous flight
For your own pleasure along aims of life
Had you ever been nonchalant on your wife?

For a slight mishap, you abused her a peak
Ending arguments with lavish slaps on cheek
Hiding your blunders raised arrogant voice
Had you ever been egoistic on her face?

Deprived love in her own grand kingdom
Tortured her mind at each and every blink
Agony buried in her heavy heart fathom
It might compel her to make own life sink

Could you bloom a lovely fresh blossom
From its cleaved petals gone withered?
She was merely a fragrant satin blossom
Why did you let her life untimely fade?

two women both named Mary in the spirit of love, courage and care
went to the tomb where Jesus was laid but did not find Him there
it was the fulfillment of the prophecy that Jesus Himself said
that after three days He would arise His resurrection from the dead
an angel of the Lord was waiting there wearing raiment white as snow
It told both women to "fear not" for Jesus had to go
It said go and tell the Disciples all of Jesus' men
to go to Galilee where they would see Him again

it was a transformation, it was a cosmic victory for life
the resurrection of our Savior our Lord Jesus the Christ
but that would not be the end of this biblical story
as it's my resurrection too and I give God all the glory
on a Friday that day when Jesus was crucified
on a Friday high on a cross for my sins He died

we live in a society where the fear of living is abound
and many welcome death which seems to be all around
people are scared to live life and death is romanticized
for it is much harder to live than it is to die
but it"s my resurrection too, it's my affirmation of life
it's my resurrection too, as I also arose with Christ

Jesus came to make life justified and fair
but those in powerful positions did not want Him there
it's not that much different than what President Obama is trying to do
where those in powerful places want to get rid of him too

for us to be like Jesus who came to give us abundant life
for us to be like Jesus, the Word, the Son, the Gospel, the Christ
to overcome hatred and promote unconditional love
to overcome death and be resurrected by the power of His blood
it's my resurrection too it's my escape from a spiritual grave
it's my resurrection too for through Christ I've been saved

Orchrds of my love

Give the Woman,
Her feeling of safe
She will bloom
She will shine
Like orchards of Canary
Seeded in me the life
Inspiration of her
Her dream
She handed me life
Inherited with blood
The legacy
Of her
The love of her
To son
Woman picked her passion
Her pride for me
And she wrapped a bouquet of love
For me
Resolution of her
her love
She gave me
Hope and faith
And I became
Her love
And she became
A mirror for me in life
And she drapes over me her grace
Of heaven to me

The Woman with all
Her beauty
And humanity
She handed me a rose
And I became a poet
Of her

life lesson

She searches and looks for Mr. right
A strong man, a shining knight
Looking and searching for someone to hold her close
To comfort her when she needs it most
Approached by a man with no one else on his mind
He believes she's a woman worth all his time
To be there, whenever she needs a hand
Together against the world they stand
His mind is full of images like this
He wants to be her king, surround her with love and bliss
For when he is around her, strange feelings are amiss
And an almost pain catches him , as his heart seems to miss
She watches him approach, disapproving of his love
He's missing something, or dislikes what he does
Without giving him a chance, she turns him down
In search for a man, with a "real crown"
With a broken heart, and a damaged pride
The man still believes she's Mrs. Right
But he knows there's something he doesn't have
He watches her, a faint hope in his sight
He adjusts his approach and tries once again
To be more to her then just a friend
"For me to be hers and her to be mine"
To be together for as long as time
She rejects him once again
She wants love, but not from him
instead she falls for someone else
And then cries about how this other person made her felt
She doesn't realize the devotion of his love
That just maybe, this the one sent from above
He walks off, broken once again
Pride destroyed, and heart barely beating
With slightly less respect for women
He forces himself to try again

Mom I'm Pregnant

“Mom…. I’m Pregnant!”

From the time I held my baby
in my arms…
I made a vow to “protect her from all harm.”

She was indeed a wonderful bundle of joy…
And during her life, has been a gift for us to enjoy.

She's been the focus of much of our attention,
Trying to provide for her
“timely” correction.

As a father, many thoughts entered my mind…
I wanted to be attentive to her,
patient and kind.

As she's gone through
her teenage years…
I thought of what perhaps is a parent’s #1 “fear.”

Then one day... “Mom I’m pregnant” were spoken...
At first, my heart was sad and “broken.”

“I didn’t raise her to be “crazy and wild…”
“How could this happen to a wonderful child?”

I realized that in spite of everything
 parent’s will do.
There’s no telling what their
children will put them through.

I gave her a hug and all of the
 support I could give…
Everything she’s been through…
 God will forgive!

With all that has happened in her life…
One day she’ll make someone a wonderful wife!

Dear Lord, please help my daugher to see...
How precious she is to her mother and me!

Entered in the contest; "Mom I'm Pregnant!"

C'est la Vie

the bar is crowded
and the smoke tickles my nostrils
i sneeze a few times
then find a place in the front
the band is a joke
lead guitarist sticks to power chords
except the rare occasion
he noodles like an idiot on solos
some old hipster eyeing me
i look at him with a questioning stare
"have a seat," he says
two women to his side
his friends crowded around in the bunker
the round table shakes from shots landing
and the kick of feet and laughter

"what's your name?" he asks
"val" i say and waft the smoke away
"val... isn't that a girl's name?"
his two drunken friends laugh
"usually" i say and reach for a drink
"why ya here val?"
"to meet a friend"
"a friend, huh... where is she?"
"you gay or somethin?"
"unfortunately, no" i say with a sneer
he doesn't like my tone, but continues
"how long you been waiting?"
"an hour"
"an hour? he's not coming"
"yeah, we'll see"
"you're welcome to stay and drink with us though"
"thanks, but no thanks"
his eyebrows furrow at this and he leans over at me
"look at this kid. doesn't have any friends.
and when someone tries to be a little friendly
he shows just why he doesn't..."
his friends laugh harder, the two women sit uninterested
"look, val. this is my world...
where do you belong?"
my thoughts go sour as i climb my way out

clearing my head on the streets
i make my way for the subway
the walk is long and my feet are killing me
a waste of a night as usual
and thoughts keep going off in my head
as usual

the ride back is empty
besides a big college kid and his girlfriend
the entire time they are making out
but every once in a while they look over at me
and say with their eyes,
"this is our world...
where do you belong?"

Women's Rights to Live

How can you say women don't have rights?
knowing inside we have the will to fight
how can you say we can't do this or do that?
when we know one fact
that we have a mind of our own.

How can you say women are second rate people?
knowing deep down we are all equal
because we all are born the same way.
How can you say we are built to do certain things like were machines?
knowing we have dreams
just like you.

Because I'm a woman; you think I don't have the right to do what I really
want to do?
like I can't use my own voice?
are you that ignorant?
can't you all see that gender isn't even a choice?

Human rights is to be free
willing to use our minds to be anything we want to be
human rights is to express one's true self
to let it all out from him or herself
so how can you say I have to have the rights in order to be what I want to be?
knowing all along I do have those rights to do what I want to do
or maybe you can't see that I'm human like you
an there's nothing in the world that can change that.

words for the wise

living for someone else and not yourself can cause trouble. They might not be there to catch you when you stumble . Live for today and not tomorrow . Forget about the pain and the sorrow . Have your own back and don't become a dummy . Never back down and don't become phony . You only get one life to live so choose wisely . Can't trust no one , shame what this world can do to so many people they fell for the tricks of the evil . Rise above them all and stay positive . You live for your actions not for the power . life is simple its just not easy so look out for the traps and take it easy .

Emmeline Pankurst

She fought for the rights
Of women everywhere,
Changing the laws
To make them more fair.
She worked extra hard
To make things just,
This fighting woman
Was Emmeline Pankurst.
She was a passionate feministe
Just like her mum,
Together they made
Sexist men look dumb.
Her example will inspire us
To stay together and strong,
No mather the distance
No matter how long.
The 1900's where when
A difference was made,
When the distence from men
Began to fade.
She led protests
Against authoritive men,
And thanks to that
Things are much different that then.
So many fewer women
Are expected to clean,
Ordered about
And treated mean.
The world is now
A better place,
Where women and men
Wear the same face.
Through hard times and struggle
She pushed her way through,
Emmeline Pankurst,
All women thank you.

For my Mother

For a Mother.

she left me

with only the thoughts of her embrace to warm me

in frigid mornings of tomorrows yet to come

she left me

with her words of tender truths to shroud me

in the coming evenings of stabbing sleet and hail

she left me

yet she stays forever within me

in my waking dreams

and in my restful thoughts

she stays forever within me

she remains an abiding part

of the love

the pain

the tears

and never shall we be

truly apart

Soulful Cries

I scream, at the top of my lungs
No sound, comes out
Silent, curdling screams
Is, all I have left, now
I wrestle; I fight, with all, my physical might
While, being forced down
By the mighty strength, of many men
The pungent smells of dirt, sweat and grime
Embed, in my senses
Their ghastly hot breathes; making me, want to puke!
Their hands, all over me
Constantly grabbing and groping me
Hollering and cheering each other on
Then, someone punches me
Someone, I cannot see
A large man’s hand, covers my nose and mouth
Muffling my soulful cries, terrifying, my insides!

I can’t breathe, now!

Many heavy handed blows, follow
In a blurry haze
I watch, my scarlet red blood splatter
Upon the snow white sheets, that surround
My sacred blood spilled
My salty tears mixed in with sticky men’s semen
My body, a raging torrent of scorching hot lava
Lulling into a translucent, entranced state
Surrendering, to the primal, animalistic frenzy
The men, taking what they want, anyway they want it
Devouring every morsel left ,of my weak and weary body
My body fighting, for its God given right
To live, now!
My life flashes before my eyes
The sounds around me begin to fade
My eyes glaze over, my body goes limp
My body betraying me, when I need her the most!
Silently, I pray for this is not my will, but their own
“Have mercy upon these souls”
“Please forgive these men, as I do, now
“My love remains with you, heavenly Father”
Blackened tears of jet black mascara
Weave their way down
Through the bloody crevasses, of my black & blued skin
My body used up, a lifeless vessel, totally numb!
My innocence and dignity stripped!
No one, can save me, the worst is done!
Bashed, beaten, worn
I am nothing, no more...

Humanities Mark

A person named Jeannie she is angry at the world.
All her life each day, all she done was quarreled.
Another one I met, all she does is sit and bets.
Spending all her time and money, which she gets,

I watch all human movements, varied are they?
Some twirl their hands, some shake leg in dismay.
I know a man so afraid, that he tells the same stories.
Thinking he won’t be liked, without daily allegories.

Another man speaks of conquests of women of life.
However, he never talks about ever having any wife.
Then there is this scared woman, who I know is abused.
Hiding her fear, furtive bruises seen, she keeps all amused.

I see daughters picking boyfriends, same as abusive dad.
Just to look normal, they allow them in, to share a pad.
Then, assertive ones who think they can destroy any mobs.
But in reality, they are disorderly; homes are kept like slobs.

I have also noticed if a mom is disorderly, mildly unclean.
Their daughters are immaculate, there’s no dirt to be seen.
There may be some who have dyslexia, though not so un-smart.
Can learn much greatness with patience, never challenging start,

Prissy women who look to be wealthy and have a great style,
This is usually only a show; they drink much, secretly for a while.
Macho men, parading about as if they have it made and have it all,
Are only masquerading for themselves, others know what is saw.

A man or woman who is confident in who they are, what to show.
Stands back and watches, earns name quiet, shy, but they really know.
Do they really know or have they been put down, stomped on, so bad.
Throughout life, accepting all changes, playing only game they’ve had.

Fear of the Lord 11132011

Over the years to cross paths with a number of women who fear the Lord
It bears saying that none of them is timid soul
“Fear of the Lord” in Scripture, of course

Means Reverence
A deep appreciation of the power of God’s presence
That transforms people
Making them both confident and courageous

Still let’s not be too quick to throw charm and beauty out the window
Charm and beauty keep us going
Whether they are found in the little encounters of daily life or in the refinements of high art
Charm and beauty are reflections of the creator

The more we appreciate them
Though they are only fleeting
The more we reverence the One who has made this glorious life possible
Gracious God, thank You for the worlds You fashion for our enjoyment each day

sarah and wodjan

sarah & wodjan

debates over the presence
of Sarah Attar &
Wodjan Ali Seraj Abdulrahim Shahrkhani
at the Olympics raves on,
concerning whether or not
they have been used as pawns
thrown from the pools of women’s
oppression in the middle east,
as if their time spent was somehow
those talking on behalf of human rights
go on about how the real issue is the
absence of women’s rights in countries
like Saudi Arabia, that was represented by
both Attar & Shahrkhani,
as if having these two women competing
was not an valid inspiration to women all
over the world.

even if Attar lives in the US and doesn’t
have to deal with a third of the bull*****that
Shahrkhani does, living in Saudi Arabia,
the outcome of the sound bites & images of
her running in the games should not be
discounted, for it all means progress in the
greater scheme.

though Shahrkhani has a greater challenge,
going home to horrible name calling
(dubbed an “Olympic Prostitute” by those
backwards assholes twattering
who see both these women’s participation
in the Olympics as a slap in the face of
muhammad) & slim to no Saudi media
coverage of what has to be one of the most
exciting and meaningful moments
(not to mention amazing & historically
significant!) of her young life,
the fact remains, her Judo fighting in the
international arena, for all the world to see,
means progress.

What a Man can do ,a Woman cannot do

Husband and wife are inside their bed room sleeping,The wife is bordered and couldn`t sleep. She woke her husband,so as to iron out some issues. The clock indicates 1.45am.
WIFE: I don`t think I can bear this any more
HUSBAND:what`s the problem darling?
WIFE: The burden of this family is too much for me.It`s almost a year now.
HUSBAND:Don`t worry,It`s for a short time,I will soon take over my responsibility
WIFE: May be you should have taken that bribe of 2 million.
HUSBAND:What?Don`t say it again, sell my conscience and go against my principles and allow the importation of fake drugs. No way!The principles that I maintained jealously before hooking up with you.
WIFE: I know,I know;HHTT-Honesty,Humility,Truthfulness and Tolerance.
HUSBAND:Yes,my darling;you can still remember.
WIFE: But,look at what we`re been through because of losing your job.
HUSBAND:Don`t worry,I will get another one soon;...And you call yourself an advocator for women...what a man can do a woman can do better.Isn`t it?
WIFE: Yes,I believe in that.
HUSBAND:Then, what have you just done?I carried the burden of this family for ten years without complaining, you did it for eleven months and you are complaining.
WIFE: I still believe that women are better in understanding and governing than men.
HUSBAND:I disagree; There are some things that men can do and women cannot do them.
WIFE: I do not concur with that idea
HUSBAND:Okay,I will prove it to you experimentally.
HUSBAND:Follow me to the toilet,I will get two empty beer bottles; I will urinate in one and you in the other. No drop of urine should be on the toilet floor after urination.
WIFE: Oh,No!Darling you`ve won.I agree with you;I can`t do it.
You are wise,no woman can do it without pouring..
HUSBAND:You can now see;The head is always the head.let`s go back to bed.

For Maya Angelou

For Dr Maya Angelou

Vanquished by the day one may be,
Beaten down by the barren night.
Faltering at times,
at times upright.
Still one stands.
One still fights.
For though one falls,
One must rise.

Trouble with the endeavors of life
punish with the words spoken of the men who once told me they loved me
walkers upon the darkness
beaten with the fleshly judgment of women around me with there stead fast faith
Believing life is an never ending pit a steady trial with weary roads with many bumps and rugged hills

Struggling to be better then what is expected hated by Christian women who once spoke to me with love
Judge by my enemy lost in this lusting and desirable greedy world
Body weary and heart crossed between two paths
For misunderstood by those saints that worship in there so called tabernacle
But a saint is just a sinner who once fell down i heard a wise man once say
For i am just sinner searching for a way

The things I see

As I stood out on my doorstep,
these figures caught my eye,
two women on opposite sides of street from each other,
but it look like they were walking side by side.

On the far side was a younger women,
maybe in her late teens,
On the near side was the older one,
i'd say mid to late 50's.

I don't know why but I stood there and watched,
as they both walk on by,
Just looking at the differences between them both,
imagining life through there eyes.

The younger women stood tall and proud,
as she causally strolled on by,
With her slender body and really good looks,
she tuned at me and smiled.

The older women walk with her head to the ground,
at a fast pace it looked like she walked.
With a plump round body, and bright red face,
she never even gave me a look.

Now if the roles were reversed,
would it be the same,
one walk proud
and the other in shame.

Or is there another factor here,
that only one perceives,
the old are wise,
and is the young are just naive.

After all the streets they walk,
aren't the safest place to be,
not in this town anyway,
labeled one of the worst in the country.....

Love Aligns

Love Aligns

Of names given at birth, one blooms special.
Mary seems to me a popular name.
Common folks and royalty likewise called.
But no two named Mary are quite the same.

A young girl named Mary lived righteously.
By God she was favored, is history.
She willingly bore God's begotten son.
Obscure to man…virgin birth mystery.

Infant queen, Mary of Scotland, betrothed,
Had escaped Henry the Viii rough wooing.
Life's whirlwinds, deaths and romance havocked her life.
Politics sent beheading ensuing.

Mary Read of Devon County, England
Surrounded by death, raised as a boy.
Captured by pirates of the Caribbean Sea,
Became a pirate herself, lived wild joy.

Mother and Daughter, writers named Mary,
Mary Wollstonecraft, swayed by T. Paine, wrote
"A Vindication of the Rights of Woman," (1792)
The thoughts of a mother, by death made remote.

Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, sweet sixteen,
Strong spirited, influenced by her mom
Left home to be Percy's mistress…outcast.
Sorrows in life are Frankenstein's where-from.

Mary Anning, a woman paleontologist,
Prepared fossils from Jurassic era beds.
Well-known by geologists, financially poor,
Put new ideas in scientific thinkers heads.

Famous women named Mary nowadays abound.
From Mary Anne on Gilligan's Island
To Mary Poppins flying through the air.
Each Mary, in her own way has some life brightened.

All of the women I have presented herein.
Have one thing in common: strength and chagrin.
But, there is not one Mary I read about or met.
Whose loves like my grandmother's was fashioned.

She, was a woman of strength, strong will, and spunk.
But, tenderly, she comforted many a tear.
Teaching young children from her sewing machine,
She consistently worked to keep family near.

She offered fresh fruit from the family tree.
I know her sweetness from Heaven shines.
Without her love, I wonder where I would be.
When I hear the name Mary, love aligns.

It Starts Within

Growing up you see nothing but the good
You’re taught that if you treat someone right, you get understood
Pure, that's how you enter the world
Most may say
But where does that all change
When did you go from loving with your all to disrespecting everything?

She was in middle school when she was called fat
She still remember to this day who said it to her
It stuck to her, and she's near her 20s
She don't think she will ever feel secure
It hurt
It hurts a lot
She felt disrespected
Yes she did
Messed her up mentally

Growing up her parents told her
"Sweetie, you are fat"
"Sweetie, you need to lose weight"
Insecurity, that's what she’s stuck with
The people who should love and cherish her
The people who should take her for who she is
The people who should respect her
Disrespected her emotionally.

Dudes hit on her like she is a piece of meat
With a
"Let me see what’s under all that"
Or a
"Omg! Look at that ass"
And a
"Girl, you know you want this D"
That’s the attention she gets
That’s the only attention she get
So she takes it and it becomes okay.

Emotionally disrespected
Mentally imprinted within
And she don’t even know

She grew to become a woman she never thought she’d be
Finding love in all the wrong places
She let that sorry piece of crap hurt her
She let him disrespect her
"Trash come here"
And a
“Don’t get that ass beat”
Ending with a
“You know who daddy is”
Disrespectful that’s what is.

Since when was this okay?
Since when was this just whatever.
When did this all start you may ask.
It all started when she didn’t get the love she deserve.
It started when that guy called her fat.
It started when her mom called her ugly
It started when her dad called her fat
It started when she gave in
It started when she disrespected herself.

Possible yes it is
She disrespected herself when she didn’t stand up for herself.
And when you don’t love or respect yourself, how would you know to see it.
And that’s how it is.
Respect starts within, and without out no one will respect you Ever.

My life, What is life

Is it living in this sinful world

Struggling day and night

Or, is it trying to figure out

What's my purpose for.

This life I live

Isn't perfect and it's sure isn't a dream

It's reality.

The cries

The pain

The struggle and shame

Is all I see

In my brothers and sisters eyes.

The crimes and murders

The last breath of someone's mother

Is the stories we hear from one another.

But no one wants to take a stand

If only you understand

This life is not what it was suppose to be.

What else can I do?

But share the Love from the Father above

To every man and women and child.

I know it's not enough

But I at least have to try.

Reaching my hands

To the drunken man,

The women and child who ran away,

To the girl who was once whole,

To my young brother who didn't want to fight anymore,

I'm here to tell you, to don't give up

Because I serve a GREAT God

And He hears your cries

He feels your pain

Just know

What ever your going through

He is going through it with you until the end.

Then you'll know, that He never left you

And you will claim the victory

In His hand.

This life I live

Despite all the troubles

There's a vision in my heart

To save the lost souls

And serve the Lord.

No matter what I go through

My head is up high,

Jesus in my heart,

And my feet moving forward.

Until then, I wait patiently

For the Father to finally say....

You can come home now.

The Secret Pain

I chanced to see a story told
of pang upon a distant shore
a secret pain who's history old
and still practiced evermore
Within this land a maidens fate
is forced upon her knowingly
wherein old women eviserate
her private parts so secretly
Six thousand maids a day are there
whose injury upon inflicted
who will decry the secret bare
and shame to those convicted
The woe to women the world around
and this is not the only one
when at home can be found
everlasting silence of the tongue
Where young maids fair must beware
of their fathers and their uncles
and two thirds of maidens share
the fate beneath their buckles
In a land whose intellect
so often held on high
and morals supposed circumspect
who will with voice decry
And some chance with wicked glance
to lay blame upon the child
though to protect should be the stance
and the purpetrator reviled
Two thirds of men within this land
do not their children feed
It's divorced women who must stand
and fill their childrens need
How many children suffer fates
How many close their eyes
How many mothers and their mates
will with voice decry
How many voice in crimson rage
will seek with choice and mind engage
how many will seed anothers mind
that to voice they'll be not blind

Last Freedom Fighters

     Last Freedom Fighters

They fought battles to conquer and spread the good news, it became a mighty
state, ports open to all refugees, hard men building a new world for the next
generation to travel, trading their souls for possessions to conquer these foreign

Hidden agenda was not known yet, our red brothers gave us warnings of
many coming, our spirits calling to form a tribal union, speaking of the old days. A
white calf will be born, our corn will burn from the sun rays, smoke rising to the
stars, echo’s from the great chief, a war painted warrior speaking truth to the last
tribe, our homes were yesterday paths, our children do not speak our language,
the old sit on broken stumps not on our women woven rugs.

Sorrow comes rushing in as the pendulum swings, dividing lands between
the waters. Broken arrows burns their hearts, the teeth of the great wolf licks its
prey, waiting in the dark den, an image of timeless tales. Unknown visitors came
upon our lands and brought with them this great destruction to our pastures,
many warriors now lay in scared burial grounds, they took our women and laid
besides them making them slaves.

Our smoke clouds bringing visions, the red fox forewarns about a massacre,
ones that carry the pocked marked faces, yellow hairs that rode broken mares.
It’s now there fate to give back these grounds that belonged to us, we stand tall
knowing the fate of the last freedom fighter, they will go down to the valleys and
lay besides our own. Our eagle soars and the black bears speaks, its upon our
lands that we stood by the waters which turned into red rivers, the mountains
shake bringing down the snow, the animals hide, the dark cloud is coming by the
hands of great men, they too shall melt with the rising sun.

Day after day I ask my self why
Do women have more rights to children then guys
I am good father and she cheated on me
But thats not what the courts ever will see
Thousands and thousands I spend for the fight
Trying to get my kids and do what I feel is right
I am the one who they call with there sorrow
And there mom changes plans from today to tomorrow
She uses my kids as a bargaining chip
To milk money from me..dam she makes me sick
Like children to her are just pawns in her game
Tools to dangle and drive me insane
I gave her the house and the cars and the cash
I earned them all but to me its just trash
The one thing money will never buy is the love of a child
But in Florida the courts favor mothers and it drives me wild
I worked so hard to build a good life for them
To be more then a father to be there best friend
So many fathers give up and walk out
Well I never knew what that was all about
I thought to my self how could they just leave there kids
But in a divorce its not about love its about bids
Well how much money will it take to see my kids today
Two or three grand to get them on a holiday
Some women dont realize how bad this hurts the kids
When they are nothing to you except an item for bids

No, We Can't Be Friends!!!!

You say that I'm not a good wife,
but I supported you while you were in jail.
How can I not be a good wife,
when I stood by you when others would bail?

You know how to push my every button.
How to make me doubt myself and get mad.
You're the fool who will never realize
the loyal, forgiving, faithful wife you had.

Not many people will stand by a man,
who is an addict, has cheated and hit them.
I gave you a second chance with our marriage,
I was the fool who went out on a limb.

I never should have given you the first chance.
You didn't deserve to have someone like me.
Not that I'm beautiful or glamorous, just normal.
But you use women to get what you need.

You feed on women with low self esteem,
using your looks to get your foot in the door.
Well, I learned my lesson, though I love you,
 You're a disgrace, and I deserve more.

I'm tired of you calling and playing your mind games.
You say hurtful things that make me cry.
Why can't you leave me alone, do what you do best,
Go get drunk, screw some skank and get high!

I don't want you in my life anymore,
No, we can't be friends and stay in touch!
You can't make amends for what you've done,
Its over, you've put me through way too much!

You'll never change, so why would I want
to even think of giving you another chance?
I did my time, I'm done, its over, Good-bye,
It didn't work for us, I'm no longer in your trance!

Just sign the papers, for once be a man
and do as I ask, I've given you enough of my time.
Go back to how you were when we met, using women,
not wanting to work, doing drugs and your life of crime.

The cry of the soldiers

          The Cry Of The Soliers

The cry of the soldiers I hear so loud
and so clear, praying that the day light would
     soon appear.
I say to my self how lucky I am to have these
men and women risking their life so I can keep mine.
As they do battle from far and wide I pray to god
to keep them alive I wonder to my self how I would feel if I were in
their shoes not knowing if I was going to becoming
home or stay there until things were through
We take so much for granted the freedom we have,
that we forget the men and women out their,
So as I lay down at night and it peaceful and calm,
then I hear that cry of that soldier in my mind,
I place my hand over my heart and pray to god
to wipe the tears from their eyes.
So to this day ill never forget the cry of the
soldier that led me to this,

I take off my hat and salute you my friends
for standing tall and not giving in,

The cry of the soldiers ill never forget.,

dracula (the real deal):
you know he’s been rollin’ in his coffin
since ejacula came & took over
the whole vampire scene---
as if it wasn’t hard enough to try and live off the blood of
moronic humans
for hundreds of years,
suddenly these pre-pubescent
high schoolers from “twilight,”
with their perpetually stoned eyes
(however, never actually
doing any drugs)
come along &
taint his image.

yes there was a time when vlad prevailed
when the people of his kingdom feared &
respected the man who fought to keep
wallachia free of the ottomans---
so much different was the man whose legacy,
illustrated for the west by stoker,
sat as a wonderfully unique novel delighting readers
for over a century,
taking its place next to shelley’s frankenstein on
the shelf & followed by the likes of

but as the saying goes, “all good things must come to
an end,”
and so strolled in ms. stephenie meyer
whose excrementitious mix of once interesting
vampiric lore & the quintessential teenage
stumbling over sexuality
(of which she claims: "I don't think teens need
to read about gratuitous sex.")
has become a new brew of
non-threatening pulp
which besides giving two actors who couldn’t
act their way out of a box high-paying careers
(as undeserved as the author’s),
has infected a whole generation of young women
who now have a brand new template for
abusive relationships.

meyer’s “abstinence porn” (as it is now
dubbed by many)
brings with it the inevitable message that women will
lose their whole sense of self in a relationship &
end up succumbing to the supposed societal norm
of having a child, that is,
a ludicrous vampire baby who will no doubt grow
up learning how to be abused just as the mother did---
this distressed damsel that stewart portrays
is so transparently based on meyer herself
that one would have to be intoxicated to a point of
not to see it---
the real choice of a young woman to have an abortion &
not have a child with an abusive vampire
might make for a less “romantic” statement
than the twilight-drivel---

if only independence was as romantic.

Nanny hiring Career women

I want the world, Paris, London and Toyko but I feel a tiny bit of worry that my kids
will resent me. I also want the family, 3 kids and a white picket fence. A husband whose
in love with me and the natural feeling of being a stay at home mother. But I know I have
to draw the line somewhere in this dream of mines because I know how hectic a life of
Journalism can be and I don't want to be a nanny hiring career women. I fear that my kids
will be raised by women that they see more than their mother because her job becomes her
life. I don't want to be a mother who can't spend dinner with her kids because she's
flying across the world... but wait I love to travel. I want to get the undiscovered
story, the truth right down to the metal. I want to uncover a mystery so deep that I will
be forever famous. But I worry that while my heads are in the clouds of big corporations
and high heels and suits that I will be missed. My husband will kiss another women to
make up for his wife not spending enough time with him. I don't want to be a nanny hiring
career women but sometimes I feel conflicted... Maybe I like power. It's always been my
dream to work at the top. I want to be there for my baby's first steps, and their first
date and even the small things like the plays they star in. I would hate to miss it
because to tell you the truth even if they had only one line it would be special to me.
Wait there it is my answer to everything... I can certainly do both but I will always
know what's more important... My family.

Wine, Women, and Song

Wine, women and song-
delirious impressions
both over- and understated.
Nonsense to the uninitiated.

This is how my daydream began:
gyrating on stage with long hair
like and adolescent shaman-
visions of a young Jim Morrison.

Wine, women and song-
punk, funk, southern boogie drunk
battle ax guitars, pounding drums
blacken and brutal beer soaked bars.

This is the dream come true:
an insidious reality
that suddenly struck rude.
Nonsense to the uninitiated.

Now, it is still the wine
women and song that I long for.
Indelible impressions
both over-and understated.

Morning Star

Across her village far deep in to the forrest Morning Star found peace and
contentment. Here away from her village, the young girl enjoyed the daylight
hours with the sounds and beauty of nature and it's animals. Beyond the forrest
the mountains held a mystery all their own. Their beauty touched her soul and
spirit yet they seems so far off to her.Her thoughts wondered what lay over them
and what new world lay beyond those haunting peaks reaching to the sky.
Suddenly the early morning was shattered by the sounds of gunfire. With all
the men gone hunting no one was there to protect the village. Morning Star's
thoughts were of not only the others in the village but of her mother and baby
sister, she had to get back to them. Screams of women and children cut through
the forrest as the scent of smoke and the sounds of horses grew closer.
Suddenly the sounds began to fade and only the smell of smoke remained. As
she stood at the clearing, Morning Star saw what was left of her village. Unable to
move as her eyes looked across the bodies of women and children laying all
around. Tears filled her eyes as she walked by so many searching for her
mother and baby sister, hoping that they had fled to safety. There in the dirt lay
her mother clutching her baby sister, both dead. How could this have happened?
How could the soldiers have done this to them?
Morning Star placed a blanket over her their lifeless bodies and slowly walked
away. Her life as she knew it was gone, dead along with her mother and baby
sister. She was the only survivor. Slowly she walked back into the forrest. Dusk
was beginning and the forrest would keep her safe for the night. Tomorrow she
would search for a way up to the mountains, there she would find a path to her
destiny and what the spirits have chosen for her. She would be the only one to
tell the story of all who had been lost this day. She would be the only one to keep
their story alive for generations after this.

Lost , confused and broken.
It's time that I spoken.
Hey you, yeah you.
That the way they speak 2 me.
Not as the beautiful black queen that I am.
But as another piece of trash
''OOOOOH mommy you's a dime piece''.
That's what they say.
Is that all they see women is for there curves
that GOD as given 2 woman.
Why can't we be seen as the SMART,WONDERFUL WOMEN THAT WE'VE
I guess it's 2 much 2 ask for from these men that don't have no respect
for us.
''Hey miss lady'' ,'' you must of fell from heaven ,
cause u gotta be one of gods angles.
Is the bullsh,t they throw my way,
Thinkin I'm gonna jump at the first thing they say.
I'm a WOMAN, not a 304,not a dime piece,
not a jump down.BUT A WOMAN.
Somebodys WIFE,someone MOTHER, A Somebody.

Men And Women

Men are men,
no doubt about that,
women are women,
is there any doubt about that too,
men have been given jobs,
so have been women,
but what happens when you do vice versa,
not my worry,
I am not a world's job describer,
But some things I can say for sure,
there would be time of immense confusion,
quite difficult to endure,
some jobs can be done by strong,
weak are at best for such jobs wrong,
whether women are weak,
or the men strong,
I know not,
but the exchange scheme,
is going to raise such cases,
and the world is gonna repeatedly ask,
for those days,
when they used to say,
men are men,
and women are women,
now the question would be,
for how long?

In Her Shell

Late at night in her bed,
                           she says her prayers in
                           her head.
                           To keep her safe through
the night, until the dawn of
                            the morning light
                            For when night time falls
                            and, darkness creeps in,
that is when the battle with
                            her demons begin and,
                            the skeletons inside her
                            closet they too are making
                            her life a living hell.
She said her life is like
a turtle living in her shell,
not only is it her home but,
                            her prison as well.
                            Something happened years
ago, that left a hole inside
                            her soul.
I would visit her a few times
a week though, it would break
my heart, it would make me
                            For I could not understand,
                            how this women so awesome,
                            this women so grand, would
let her life go to hell and,
choose to live inside her shell
                            away from others, from herself
                            as well.

My black hand bag tucked under my arm.
A rush of blood to the head.
Come on let’s release the energy today.
The arrival of the meeting parade.
A peep through the haunted night.
A year on things had changed in there lifes.
A picture frame in a human form.
A normal driver of a taxi does his routine journey.
There is nothing new in what he does as he sees a
female passenger near a taxi stand.
The passenger get’s in as he drops her off near just after her

She say’s she has no money the taxi driver see’s her daughter

Just Thinking

Why can't I find a women to love,
a women as beautiful as a dove.
Why can't I find to hold,
to keep my heart from going cold.

Why am I always to shy to say,
wow,you really look pretty today.
why am I always so lonely and sad,
can't remember many good times i've.

Why don't I have very much hope,
mabey tomorrow i'll be able to cope.
Why do I have so many fears,
that I have felt for so many years.

Why do I sometimes wish for my death,
can't wait til I take my final breath.
Why can't I find a really good friend,
that will be there for me til the end.

Life is a book

Im living a book. So are you.

Tomorrow is a new me. Tomorrow is a new you.

But there is a tomorrow.

Im living a book. Today I turned a page. Or a leaf in a tablet. A leaf

I turned over a new leaf. And let me say "What a relief!"

Life is a book. A very long, very interesting, very confusing book.

Storys you've shouldn't have read, and some that deserve a second look

Dramas, tragedies, harlequins, and poetry,

Biographies, comedies, and even fiction unfortunately

But I enjoy to read and to share the stories

Of all the past failures and glories.

I wake up every day and say "Zack, why are you happy?'

He smiles and responds"Bc Ive been a daddy.

Ive been a friend, an enemie, been loved, been hated

Been turned into an asshole by women Ive dated.

Been turned into Cassanova by women Ive loved

Been kicked, punched, massaged and rubbed

Ive been happy, been sad. Ive laughed and Ive cried.

Ive had loved ones been born. Ive had loved ones that have died.

Ive gone days without sleeping and Ive slept for days

Ive paid for doing "jobs" and Ive had jobs that pays.

Ive been proud of other people and been told I make them proud

Ive lived my life in silence and Ive lived my life aloud.

Ive done a lot of things, theres a lot of things I haven't done.

But the answer to your question Zack is Im happy bc life is fun.

It has its ups and downs, and even some twist and turns

But I love it with a passion. So much, my heart, it burns.

And I know like every great ride it must come to an end.

The author of my book must set down his pen.

And my book will prolly just sit on a shelf collecting dust

bc to be honest, my book is kind of a bust.

But Im breezing right through it with a smile on my face

Flipping through pages like its a speed reading race.

Reading new stories each and every day

Even becoming a character in other peoples' plays'.

But all in all, if you sit and you look

All life really is is one big book.

Working Women

We women work so hard to be accepted.
We women often get neglected,
By members of the opposite sex.
Fathers, brothers, uncles, boyfriends, husbands,
The list goes on.
They always think we have an attitude.
What do you expect?
When we get no attention or recognition dude.

No appreciation is shown when we carry your child.
You’re somewhere playing with the remote,
With another woman, or with the fellas running wild.
While we are at home: cooking, cleaning, paying bills,
Simply multitasking in the home.
You men get mad when we’re too tired to get it on.

We women need appreciation.
We women need to be shown some gratitude
If we women get those two things,
Then maybe, more of us women would be
In the mood for relations.

V-DAY 2013

“The United Nations
Development Fund for Women
estimates that at least
one of every three women globally
will be beaten, raped or otherwise
abused during her lifetime.”

1 billion women &
men who feel that
violence against women
across the world has to end
will go on strike
this coming
February 14th, 2013.

& this writer will be standing
in vigilant solidarity
in remembrance of
my best friend in
high school whose
face had been smashed
through a glass door &
then was forced by the same
man to drive into a house
after he downed acid &
just didn’t give a

& this writer will be standing
in vigilant solidarity
in remembrance of
my first crush whose
boyfriend raped her, beat her,
forcing her to live in
constant fear even after she
put a restraining order on him,
finally moving across the country
to find freedom.

& this writer will be standing
in vigilant solidarity
in remembrance of my first
girlfriend who revealed later
that she had lost her virginity
to a rape at a party in which
all the ****s in her hick small
town had pointed the finger
at her, saying that “she had
asked for it”---a rape that
her own mother (who suffered
at the hand of her crazy
pentacostal loon husband)
did nothing about when she
found out what had happened
to her daughter---
nothing at all.

thanks to Eve Ensler, we
will have the opportunity,
ALL OF US, this coming
February, to RISE UP &

will you be with us?

don't cry over a reply

I consider myself a student of human nature
and 'tis all too true
i wonder what you women do
women precisely like you
it's as if you're whole life is a bad hair day
unwilling to experiment, to see what may be coming your way
you join the means to meet a man but keep the monitor ever black
well i say enjoy it while you still can, baby, because tight skin and a size two ain't never
coming back
you women slay me, especially women such as you and your ilk
politely sipping on Pinot Grigio but all crying over spilled milk
shoot, if you're waiting for a dove to whisper," He's Mr. Right," as a clue
hon, that dove broke through his cage years ago and much like life that lovely dove so
swiftly flew
                              ~free cee!~
and yes, i do all the important things in my life as well as i write poetry, but there’s only
one thing i do better...MY DEAR, IN THIS YOU CAN trust
              THAT REMAINS IS DREAM dust

They were some people who carry hugh weight on their shoulders.
Hand touching their eyes as they look up to the sky.
A discussion takes place near the fire in a crisis.
A hand of the clock is moving fast condemns the women.
Her husband looks at her don’t do this to me turn the clock back.
The women put’s her hand to cover her eyes and cries.
The look of disgust for all to see appeared from nowhere.
I am ready to go out I wonder what to wear.
They turn around after her disappearance as the husband stares.
Look at my shoulders can’t you see they are getting sore.
The women replies in a harsh way there are two people in a discovery.
She places all her bangles to one side this is the price to pay for our deeds.
The husband wraps them up and places in a safe they belong here for now.
He quickly places a paper on the table and writes as his wife watches.
This is my stamped name keep it safe it might disappear one day.
The women laughs at him can a piece of paper relieve the burden of faded hair.

They Came

They came to us slowly
in ones and twos at first.
They were men with good hearts
and lived with earth as one;
Lived as we live, one with the four legged,
two legged – all the spirits of our world

They brought many things to trade;
knives of iron, that our women treasure,
Thunder sticks that kill from
further that an arrow can fly.

They brought cloth of bright colors
that our women sew into clothes for us.
They brought sugar and tea to change
our diet of buffalo and berries

Then more came.
They came with bad hearts.

They brought firewater.
Our minds were as dizzy as our steps
and the earth danced before our eyes.

The black robes came and gave us their religion.
Strange since they do not practice his teachings.

They brought the spotted sickness
that kills our people.
They came and killed the buffalo
and left the bodies to rot on the earth.

They came like a swarm of insects,
devouring everything in their path.
They came and took our land
and gave us heartbreak.

The sacred hoop is broken
And I cannot go home…

chained chained women

chained chained women in the “land of the free”

can you feel the jealousy emanating from the other first world countries
whose women watch the US government insist upon
no universal healthcare,
making its own citizens eternal slaves to HMO’s & big pharma
if that wasn’t bad enough,
they watch the religious tyrants beating their “holy books,”
to feel as if it is ok to
deprive citizens of contraceptive coverage in the
health care packages being provided by employers across the country?

this writer has a hard time doing so…for the record.

how long will this so-called “democracy” make the women within its borders
how long will the crazy crazy christians insist on
trying to keep women in a little cage where they cannot determine what happens to their own bodies?

as long as women are not allowed to gain access to contraception freely & easily,
they have to walk through a gauntlet of unnecessary bull*****
every time life decides to impede their progress by
throwing an unwanted pregnancy in the way of the struggle to get to where they want to be---
if they cannot climb the ladder,
they cannot achieve the financial status that would allow them to raise these kids in the
first place---
who pretend to have religious affiliations so that they can get more sheep to
baaaaaaaaaaaa to the sound of their specific drum come november,
need to understand that there are more women in this country than men
this country is already overpopulated as it is----
why not better the lives of the women who are already here,
alive & trying?

I just don't understand

The crave to legalize pot
Inability to tell a hot girl she is hot
and tell one that is not, to her face
The lack of passing a certain base
The need to skip a certain phase in life
The desire to have a second wife
But never having the first wife
Always wanting sex
Jumping partners next to next
double standards of women snd men
The "Ew's" and gasps when guy said to be gay
The "ooo's and ah's when women say what he happened to say
For when he is bi we say bye
But when she is bi we say hi
We accept this... But why?
The things viceversa and what a woman can do to a man
The things I could never understand

What's My Type

What's my type? Now there's a good question that
I'm sure a lot of women wanna know so, let's
get right into it. I'm a man of God seeking
companionship so, I like to take it slow. ya know
everyone has there story to tell and mines...
no need to go into details but when you
get something or someone for wholesale
don't sell it retail....If you're a woman that's
as hard as nails please pass me by...I'm
old school as far as love so I'm highly attracted
to feminine women who dress nice classy
attire, passionate, sensual, good communication
and someone who hates liars. A woman who's
virtuous in God's eyes on fire for him that woman
who's sanctified because she loves righteousness
and hates sin this woman has to be mindful that
it's best to wait to we're married because we
know it hurts God when we fornicate unto him
what's my type?

The "wifey type" to me is some relationship title for worldly
people but me...I see beyond that peep hole
I'm a king so in the kingdom that I stand for
I desire my mesmerizing queen
I'm in need of a woman who loves to kiss
not pressed over me but is in need of what I
have to offer like her this love I got is her next fix
I'm a fan of women that know how to dress
a woman who looks at me
with such promise because all her life I've
been exactly what she's been wanting to feel
and that's real, and If you're one
who don't know the difference between black people...
black males in particular and niggas....pass me by I'm not
your type of guy, but the question remains
what's my type?

My type isn't physical features but If you have to change
your lifestyle for me get away from me yeah I beseech ya
I'm on fire for God naw better yet I'm full blown ether
and If you're this woman "spiritually" we might not
be right for a relationship but hey you're a friend
of God so yeah I wanna met ya. I need a woman
who loves to express herself down to earth
honesty & trust is the key and I'm the door If you're...
seeking knowledge wisdom & understanding I might
be what you're looking for, I'm a gentlemen in
every sense of the word whether you hate it or love it
I don't really call this "my type" of woman
because she's mine I'm hers she has a place for
me right in her left bosom so....forget my type
because that is her whom which I was promised
so let it come to pass....what's in the dark always come to light

I've known about this
For a few months now
But in my heart
It still hurts somehow
There are women out there
They want to abort
Those women are ones
They should be in court
For I could never hurt
An infant so small
They never asked for life
Just where is the law
How could anyone
Just end life by killing
To throw it all away
To a small life that was willing
So think about life
Before you just end it
The good Lord will help you
If you only defend it
Don't let anyone
Make up your mind
Think of the baby
And what love you will find

Getting Alone

Why can't our women be a good sport
Instead of selling themselves short?
And why can't our women just get along
And leave each other's men alone?
It's not that hard, it's easy to do
Remember waht you do will definitely
come back on you
Because one day when things seem
to be going just right
Your man might just end up creeping
on you in the middle of the night
And no matter how much you think
that he is under your control
He is still a man and he might
go out on the stroll
I know you might think that he really loves you
Then why is he out doing the same thing to you?
If you're wondering what went wrong
Just remember, It was 'Carma' that messed up your home

Display Purposes Only

Not long ago,I went with a couple of married
  friends of both,so human genders,
To another man's house,peopled full,both
  persuasions together,real sentence-enders.
When we arrived,my friends were greeted with,
  what I would term, mixed cheers,jeering applause;
But,the manner I was welcomed within
had me searching faces for an escape clause.
Our host spoke,very careful ways,laughingly
  set me 'mongst company of women there;
Though,intelligence is undoubted,he did not
  see,I'm a snake,curled in circle's square.
While he was busy wasting everyone's
  attention with tales,giggling,"do her,do her.",
I was happy to bide my time in absolute
silence, measured to avoid a stir.
With his great wit,he kept conversation
  fixated on fictional preferances;
Amusing all with abilities to question
  sexuality,veiled references;
This truly self-made man must be admired
  for his insistance,inheriting his lot,
Be amazed at such an individual male,
  ev'ry frustration met's eas'ly bought.
He's more than happy enough to spend his
  life observing life through his office window;
But,he'd best ignore my features,for I'm
smirking,my manhood is not for him to show.
The overwhelming pleasure I tend to take
  in women is like an old,well-worn coat;
While his lot seems an ever-worsening worry,
he had better buy a bigger boat.
     I'm happy to contemplate self-knowledge,
       while writing's a growing content,though lonely;
But,his own is to wonder if identity is for
       display purposes,only.

Have you ever

Have you ever loved someone so much that it hurts to be a part?

There love burns like the eternal flame deep within your heart.

Have you ever needed someone so much that without them you just cry?

Like a love that last forever and will never die.

Have you ever wanted someone so much that they never leave your mind?

As if to be with them some how stops all time.

Have you ever found someone that is truly your best friend?

Someone who always has the time with you to spend.

Have you ever found someone that makes your heart race?

Just thinking of her kiss and the way that she tastes.

Have you ever found a girl who tastes like a sweet peach?

A girl who with one look can stop your speech.

Have you ever found a women who will give her heart to you?

A women who will promises to always be true.

I found this women who i thought was just a dream.

Now i know what true love is i know just what they mean.

Many poets talk of women and compair them to many things.

Like the beauty of a flower or the song that a bird sings.

But she is so wonderful that nothing ive experienced can even compair.

To the way she feels when shes in my arms and just knowing she is there.

So as i finish this i would just like to say.

Deanna i love you more each and every day.

Can Men Really Love?

After years of seeking the truth
I'm still at a dismay
Can men really love?
Is it real or play?

I know women are meant to love
We love all in sight
We crave to be nutured
Be it wrong or right

Is it your suppose to be strong?
Love is a weakness at first?
Will your friends make fun of you?
Do you think it's a curse?

Is it your ego?
I'm just not sure
I've seen what love isn't
You have to be mature.

Do men always get jealous?
Too afraid to be full exposed?
I know women will love a million different ways
But a mans heart seems to be froze

I'm just curious
So I put in words for all to see
Maybe someone can help me
Can men really love in true reality?

Avodah zarah

Peoples across cultures
converge in a certain place to worship.
Bringing with them the baggage of their history,
helps to understand their ways and cultural flavors.

  Everyone shows his need
  in different levels
  with varying degrees
  in quest for an answer.

Others crave for more
beyond the limit in human proportion.
It's passion for a certain need
power, money and prestige.

  Like a foreign worship
  that centers only on oneself
One's obsession just for self gratification
  describes a temptation to prevail.

That's contrary to our calling
as men and women in the world with others
meant to be gifted to others
moved by God, the source of life and love.

An old man s Dream Life Happens

An old man’s Dream

I have this dream – no !, a burning desire
to be with a woman willing to light my fire.
- Not as in the past – placed on a funeral pyre,
there to be left on my own, left alone to expire.

A woman I can touch, feel, I can reach in,
deep, into her heart, into her soul, know exquisite sin.
To experience, to express, to know where she has bin ?
Not superficiality, not what’s behind of a veil so thin.

Ah, but to know the depths, to know the heights
she has reached – to know that the lights
burn bright and there is nothing in sight,
that, in the end, one would be forced to fight.

But most of all, to find that, that woman
has not been crushed, been shriveled, and can
leave behind all that scorched her heart and soul,
becoming the cage, within which all she came to know,

prevented her from being all she could, but cannot be,
- because of all who steeled her heart and soul – and see,
but she cannot – from within her sarcophagus – for she is lost to ?,
humanity, to man, it has been thousands of years for me and for you.

I have a dream !, a desire !, a wish !, and a need too.

Life Happens

Unfortunately I do not know – about myself – having been sacrificed
- many times – upon the alter of love and passion and their funeral pyre.
Having been burned by the heat of my own passions fire
I’ve known not – for very long – what my heart desired or what my soul required.

Unfortunately, that is life and life happens – before you know it,
it has slipped between your fingers and past your dreams and desires.
Then you become a statistic, crushed, burned, shriveled as any woman
locked up in her cages, laid to rest in her sarcophaguses .

A Great Catch

I read a poem, written by Ron,
and he writes about, women done wrong.
Whether it be physical, verbal, or mental,
abuse is a cowards way of trying to be in control.
So men...know that women talk, and the women
they are talking too.......well, they talk, and before long, your legacy
will be spread around town. Now...aren't you a great catch...
Women always, listen to talk, if you treat one will treat another
the same way... IF,given a chance. IF is a mighty powerful word.
Thanks Ron, you are the greatest.

(in the english language)
they can be called is
the C word---
this word cannot be uttered by men around women,
it’s said by women to men,
it’s said by men to men
when conversing about the women who told them
amidst other women or
without other women present.

all words stumble round its usage like
a toddler
meandering across a
fresh patch of ice in slippers made of

as cyanide in your favorite drink or
perhaps something of a barbed wire jockstrap
you know better than to tread that water,
best to swim instead of sink---
but men will call each other this word
like its nobody’s business
especially in england
and it’s laughable
how quickly its forgotten that women still
these areas said to be inhabited only by those with
it is still a word isn’t it?
one of many,
whose disgustingness has brought violence with them
for hundreds if not
thousands of years.

so will this word be picked up by women who
feel its usage to be violent, misogynistic & vile,
only then subsequently appropriating it for their own
giving it new meaning?

Never Give Up

There was a man driving late one night.
Inside he was on the verge to break down.
He thought that everything was falling apart.
Broken pieces in his life seemed unfixable.
For all his problems he blamed the world and even God.
That same night a women was driving home.
She was thanking God for everything he had done for her.
These two different people have very little in common.
However they both shared a gift from God.
Not knowing the man drove to fast on the highway.
He was too busy thinking about his problems.
The woman was coming from the other side.
She went down to reach her purse to get the phone.
Right at the turn off the man lost control of his car.
Flashing thoughts ran through his mind.
Before the women could look up to see what was coming.
Their cars crashed into a twisted collision.
A week later the man woke up in a hospital.
The doctor came in the room with a heartbreaking face.
He told the man that God has a plan for everyone.
When he had crashed into the other car it was his wife.
The man was shocked to hear those painful words.
Immediately he asked the doctor to see if she was ok.
In profound words the doctor told him that his wife had died.
Hot tears ran down the man’s face with deep sorrow.
She was on her way home to tell him the good news.
The gift from God was a baby that they would share.
His head fell into his hands and cried out his heart.
For the first time in his life he began to pray.
He asked God forgiveness for all the things he had done.
The moral of this story is that no matter how hard life is.
How blinded we can be from the truth.
We must never give up on God.
For God will never give up on you.

plan C

dear ms.
roman catholic
secretary sebilius---
are you aware of what you have done to the young women
living within the borders of the
empire, today?
are you aware that your
have led you to stand in front of young women the nation over &
assert that they NOT be allowed
control of their bodies
in this supposed
“land of the free.”

as representatives of the empire maraud the earth
speaking on behalf of the “freedoms” that women have here,
the drug plan b is stopped from being readily available to
young women &
the fact that we all make mistakes
that we all have impulses from which if we are lucky
we can only learn from in
this is all thrown to the side.

mr. obama, who “was not involved in the process” of
reversing the FDA’s approval for plan b to be sold over the counter
now marches in line
following mr. bible-beating-bush
in the attempt to gain support from pro-lifers everywhere
by speaking of his own daughters
as if they will ever face the same struggles as other young women
in the same way.

as long as believers in this country have any sway
they will beat their drums as loud as possible
in hopes that all will get in line &
pop out kids like a pez dispenser
regardless of what the financial situation might be
in which a young single mother might have to raise it
regardless of whether a father is present or not
regardless of the young woman’s own future aspirations might have been
before she made one impulsive mistake
for which she now must abruptly halt her life completely
for the sake of

it’s obvious that women need a
plan C---
they need to be able to circumvent these legal proceedings
which aim at nothing more than stifling their ability to
gain agency in a world that is STILL
male dominated---
but as such a practice might be unsafe or harmful
they continue to suffer
oppressed within the so-called democracy
where their opinions are supposed to

is not a
that others make for

"A Woman Eyes " by Joseph Goodwill

If you take a moment to look deep inside a woman's eyes you can see the
window to her soul. You can see her joy and her pain; her hopes and her
dreams. She may never say a word but her eyes can tell a whole story. I know
because I have had the pleasure to know many beautiful and wonderful women
in my life. But 6 women changed my life along with Christ. They were my
mother, my grandmother, my two aunts, my cousin's wife, and my beautiful wife.
When I look into their eyes I saw where I came from, where I am now and where I
am headed. The man I have become I owe to God. The way I treat a woman I
owe to my mother. A woman is a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, and that is
just for starters. You can find her at church, you can find her in the community,
you can find her being a nurse to a child's wounds, and you can find her being a
rock to her husband when the world is knocking him down. And after all of that
she is still a woman in every sense of the word. I know man is the head of the
house and God is its foundation but a woman is its CEO; Chief Everything
Officer. My mother is no longer here on earth with me but if I want to see what
she stood for all I have to do is look into a woman's eyes. I don't only want to say
thank you to the women who changed my life but thank you to all women for with
God and you everything is possible.

The things in my life seem nothing more than a complex structure that I can no longer mold
or control.
I am a strong black woman in a world full of deception and criticism.
I am a strong black woman who cannot help to be independent, to have pride in myself.
I am a strong black woman who can understand the problems that we must face and overcome
to reach success.
The fact that I am all these things never ceases to amaze me but amazes others.
Amaze the ones who look down on me not because I possess all these qualities but because
I am black and a women in corporate America that I can stand on my own two feet and let
my opinions be heard.
Time have change this is no longer the 17th century where women must be seen but not heard.
This is no longer the 19th century where blacks must work on plantation and obey there
masters and be suppress from obtain any knowledge about the world.
I am a strong black women and I will fight to overcome all the barriers that surround not
only me but also other black women who feel suppress.
Fight to overcome the hatred, racism and male dominance that are placed not only in the
minds of adults but children that they cannot succeed unless they are a certain color or
I will fight for all those who can no longer fight for themselves.
As I unite the weak and make them strong with these powerful words of wisdom.
Words that they shall never forget “Strength lies within you and you must find the
courage to override all these hateful remarks to overcome your fears.”
Words that have made an impact in my life when I felt I was not strong enough.
I am a strong black women and I will conquer every challenge that passes by to take

" Drunkin Tears "

She said he wants to take her baby,
Sitting in the hospital till five am.
Crying her beautiful brown eye's out,
But doctors would pay no attention.
Doctor's said we couldn't go in,
They had to keep her over night.
Feeling so heartbroken seeing her ly there,
Praying to God please let her be alright.
Being so caught up on ecstacy,
Feeling like there's not much i can do.
Feeling helpless that i can't reach out to you,
That i couldn't be by your side to protect you.
I told her don't cry,
   She's a good mother he see's.
That the stuff he's put you through,
The parent you are he can't compete.
We'll fight because what we feel is right,
Were very strong and still surviving.
We love and we love with all our hearts,
We see a problem were quick to recognize it.
We've been through hell and back,
But us women will never give up.
Cause well fight now and we will later,
That's why for us women we have respect and love.
No mama no one said it was easy,
An angel fell out of the sky and named her Elizabeth.
Blessed her with so many talent's,
   Giving her unconditional love within.
A rare and beautiful blessing,
A women who's corazon is as golden as heavens gates.
A women who would give to the whole world,
And not ask to give back what she gives or takes.
An independant strong surviving mother of more then five,
Who can touch your heart with just a lullaby.

Sharing the world to make sure your ok,
Was that shoulder for anyone to cry.
Lent her sympethetic ear to listen,
   Craves to better everyone around.
Successful in everything she does,
Today on that day my angel was found.

To all y'all poetry lovers I need y'all to really listen
because It don't come easy wit puttin together these writtens
at the end of this poem don't think I was just kidding
But I just wanna know whats up these Baltimore women
maybe it's just me, but if I go to any other city
and speak to a female she speaks back to me
this is for the women but I know the niggas can relate
y'all might say y'all love us but all I'm gettin is a lot of hate
Question? how would I know a good woman by the way she walks
image is everything especially by the way she talks
females in Baltimore can't find a good man because they lost their sight
and the complaining got so bad that they started marrying dykes
all these women here ain't bad I just met the wrong ones
they really don't want love they just wanna have fun
so as for me I'm just gone fall back and stack this money
so black women don't get mad if I find love wit a snow bunny

Difference Iz Vol. 2

I guess to me vol. 1 just wasn't enough
so I guess it's time I refill this lyrical cup
the difference is I gotta explain how different I really am
the depths of a real nigga has just began
concerning this world I guess it don't amaze me
how men & women use each other is far from crazy
but maybe I just reached my spiritual peak
like I told yall love is what I continue to seek
most men can't seem to look a woman
expect by the way her body looks
I guess the difference is I'm on a different page
matter fact a whole nother book
difference is I'm talking to women to see where there heart is
I could careless how many baby fathers you got & how many kids
I'm on a mission just to talk to women because I respect their convo
it sometimes amazes me how a man could make a woman feel so low
but thats the world its lost and don't wanna be found
so if anyone hears God's voice they recognize this heavenly sound
difference is I'm on a love search yeah It might hurt
but one thing I realized is you gotta put God 1st
difference is I'd take a woman with a good heart gladly
for the simple fact I know with this woman
I'd be eternally happy

Sister cuzin

I looked in her face, hers was nothing like mine.Chocolate I, caramel she, our
differences we don't see.
her hair short, mine extended 2 be long, yet our spirits 2 one another are drawn
cuz her day, pain and gripe is the same 1's that got me looking 2 the creator for
as young women we were taught how to be homemakers cater to my man and my kids first. In
the years we live in and are sure to see
that kind of reality
would have ur insides dying spiritually and emotionally
This young women i speak of upon first meeting, spoke volumes 2 me.
I admired her mind, take on life, giving spirit
telling the silly men in her life to come correct becuz u know she doesn't want 2 hear it.
Normally the catty of ladies, would lead me into a shut door of maybes about her
character, somehow we broke down those wall so that we could see exactly who and what was
standing awaiting entrance through the front door.
Every time i see sister cuzin i know she knows exactly whats on my mind, she greets me
with a sweet smile and embrace, let me know quick where to locate the food, smoke and
liquors in my leisure i am free 2 sip
sister cuzins, i luv mine do u luv urs.
Carrying the world on her back saving u constantly from mishaps, in tune with ones
shortcomings and sometimes indiscretions.
Seems sister cuzins always wanna take on the world. Always looking 4 luv, but seems we
stay just being some ones girl.
I come to u with sincere vision, sis
I see ur light, but i warn u, some folks, all they will do is dis it
Direspect, disspondent ready 2 disregard u and ur accomplishments at a flick of the wrist.
I know u sis,
 ur hand strong and steady,
never ever giving these clowns ammunition to dim it
ur lightI mean.
anybody who is anybody knows that in your heart and good graces is
the place one longs to be.

It's The Life

It's the life of a street nigga
get money or die trying in the process
If a nigga make it 21 where Im from
that mean you blessed
all the drama and stress that just goes with tha struggle
along wit the dope boyz moving bricks by the bundle.

It's the life. Everybody been threw it
you can't avoid meeting ain't bout sh!t people
some take heartbrake harder than others
when they think about injecting some lethal
In my eyes lame niggas & fake women is see threw
you know a nigga crazy after a week
of knowing you they say they wanna be with you.

It's the life. We all then had it
the 1st one we gave out heart to
game recognize game but how
men & women use each other is a shame
women say niggas is all the same
everytime they get their heart stepped on
but you know what gets me
a baby muva that think the nigga she had a
baby wit is suppose to get back
wit her just because their child is born.

It's the life. Real talk misery loves company
most women is selfish and when it comes to love
I loved it so much my heart became helpless
but you would've thought that I'd learned from that
I kinda lost count of how many women
emotionally stabbed me in the back.

It's the life. Decision making comes wit a reasonable price
but honestly every question you have about life
forget a therapist take it to Christ
life ain't right but it gets better once
you get on that spiritual kite
but Im telling you this right here
ain't nothin but to street life

I'm not a gullable guy
who settles for less;
and I like to see
more women like yourself!

If freedom is what you choose,
it's long as it
won't defeat my purpose,
and keep my ego intact!

Be as patient
as you can be,
men must protect
and love their women...
in ways to amaze them;
and it still holds true today!

I'm not looking for heart-breaks,
to watch tears fall down a woman's face;
I'll break the rules and compromise
when the need arises!

Men,love your women a lot,
give them true affection
and ignite in them more passion
with the quickest spark:
to feel what most men are afraid to show...
for the fear of losing their adored pride!

The quickest spart
is a surest way to an eager heart;
the quickes spark
can give bring light where it was awfully dark!

I wonder what its like
To be a woman who conceives
A life grows inside her
That started from a seed.

I wonder what its like
To feel this wonder move inside
Kicking, jabbing, turning
Of this I am mystified.

I wonder what its like
This pain of giving birth
Something women endure
The suffering is well worth.

I wonder what its like
Holding a baby of your own
But for women like myself
This will forever be unknown.
