Secretly Obsessed

Obsessed with the thought of you
wondering if it's only me or
if you sometimes remember the sweet things you've said
and if you meant them how I took them
or if I'm just obsessed with what's in your head

Obsessed with your very sentences
Every response I take personal
I know it's selfishness
Have you not noticed my eyes?
They hold secrets that only you can unlock
if you'd just take time to fill the thick juices of my pride
It's just boiling with lust, passion, trust and distrust
and other things I obsess over so much

I find myself writing to free myself from this prison I've created
where only you and I reside
I become confused about what I'm really feeling inside and I
try to rid the thoughts that are highly debated as false and I
begin to cry and
think of casting love spells so that the universe can deliver this affair
I know it's unfair
but I don't care

I'm obsessed with what hasn't happened between us
I'm obsessed with your heart and that the fact that
I don't think you've even noticed my selfish innuendos
and secret undertones that blatantly express my lust
Or maybe you have and you calmly remain in resistance of distrust
If you could only read my mind by simply touching my fingertips,
I'm sure I'd catch you out the corner of my eye biting your bottom lip
I'm obsessed with the passion and thoughts I think you have
Obsessing over an experience that I may never have....

Surrender

Sitting in this empty room
Looking at broken pictures of me and you
A broken life together
I always thought we’d make it forever

What has become of me?
I never ever thought I would be
One of those who were beaten down
One of those who didn’t make a sound

Silent when you pushed me around
Silent when you covered my mouth
Silent when you raised your hand
Silent when you gave your commands

But something deep within my soul
Tells me to rise up and take control
Take a hold of my lost self again
Knowing if I don’t this might be the very end

You will not break me down this way
You will not darken my coming days
I am stronger now you see
And I will never let you kill the beautiful soul inside me

I am someone who has a voice
I am a woman who can make my own choice
I don’t need permission to be free
Or to discover the real woman inside me

Discovering the strength and power within
To let the bright shining sun shine in
To let my heart feel free and bold
To let my soul escape your choking hold

I’ve come to realize just a few things
That my life is worth more than two gold rings
Sometimes it has to be that way
For me to take ME back and then for me to say…

I am a beautiful woman inside
I will never ever run away and hide
I will rise to the very top
I won’t quit and I won’t stop

There is nothing that I can’t do
There is nothing left for me and you
So now I surrender and just let go
I am special this I know…..

A Virtuous Woman

A Virtuous Woman

There are different types of women
As you may very well know
I am here to talk about her,
And her goodness I will show
A virtuous woman is
 And talks of good things,
The joy of her love is strong,
And happiness it will bring
She works with her hands and
Takes good care of her home
She comforts her husband
 When he is feeling alone.

She teaches her children and
 Trains them very well
There is so much to be said
About a virtuous woman but
Not enough time to tell.
 Proverb 18 and 22 said;
Whosoever finds a wife,
Which is a woman,
Find a good thing and obtain
Favor in the Lord;
They will remain together
 Till death do them part.

A virtuous woman is not
 Slothful in business
And serving the Lord
Doing wrong will not be
Found in her mind,
Or even in her heart.
Her husband trust her
Every step of the way,
He will never let her go
No matter what you say.

 She dresses accordingly
To make her husband proud
She speaks with a gentle
 Voice, not very loud.
She is always doing things to
 Get her husband praise, sometimes
Just watching her
 Will keep him so amazed.

A virtuous woman is strong
And worth more than
 Rubies itself; and when
 Her family hurt, she
Hurt more herself.
A woman shall be praised
If she is a woman that
Fear the Lord. A virtuous woman
Qualifies with mind, spirit,
 Soul, and heart.

Viagra and Beer

Too much Viagra and beer.
Too much Viagra and beer.
My wife was out of town,
I hit every club around.
Each time I'd hope to find
A horny woman here.

Country Bob's was the last club that was open.
Near blind drunk and horny, but I was still hopin'.
A pretty woman gave me a glance,
Smiled and said, "Nice pants.
Honey, I'm ridin' if you're ropin'."

A few hours later, I was in a Helluva mess
She's still ridin' hard and screamin', "God, this is the best!"
I was dizzy and light-headed. I had pains in my chest,
But she wouldn't stop long enough to call EMS.

When I came to, I was home in my own bed,
Next to my lovely wife; and this is what she said:
"I picked you up at Country Bob's, my dear;
And there's gonna be some changes around here.

You were fantastic last night;
So, I only think its right
If I supplement your diet
With Viagra and beer."

Viagra and beer. Viagra and beer.
She treats me like a king,
Says I make her body sing;
So, I'm happy on my diet of Viagra and beer.

Yes, I'm happy on my diet of Viagra and beer.

A Story My Mother Told Me

someone always told me this with tears in her eyes...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

a wife left South Africa in the 1960’s to join her husband
who was in exile at the time...

in 1970 the husband was sent by the African National Congress to India to be its representative there...

the husband and wife spent two years in Bombay...

one afternoon the husband fell and broke his leg...

the wife knocked on their neighbour’s door, in an apartment complex in Bombay

the neighbour was an old Punjabi lady...

the wife asked the neighbour for a doctor to see to the injured husband...

a Parsi ‘Bone-Setter’ was promptly summoned...

the husband still recalls his anxiety of seeing ‘Bone-Setter’ written on the Parsi gentleman’s bag...

by the way, the ‘Bone-Setter’ worked his ancient craft and surprisingly for the husband, his broken leg healed quite soon...

but still on that day, while the ‘Bone-Setter’ was seeing to the husband...

the wife and the old Punjabi lady from next door got to talking about this and that and where these new Indian-looking wife and husband were from as their accents were clearly not local...

the wife told the elderly Punjabi lady that the husband worked for the African National Congress of South Africa and had left to serve the ANC from exile...

and that they had left their two children behind in South Africa and that they were now essentially political refugees...

the Punjabi lady broke down and wept uncontrollably...

she told the foreign woman that she too had had to leave her home in Lahore in 1947 and flee to India with only the clothes on her back when the partition of the subcontinent took place and Pakistan was formed and at a time when Hindus from Pakistan fled to India and vice versa...

the Punjabi lady then asked the foreign woman her name...

‘Zubeida’, but you can call me ‘Zubie’...

the Punjabi woman hugged Zubie some more, and the two women, seperated by age and geography, wept, sharing a shared pain...

the Punjabi woman told Zubie that she was her ‘sister’ from that day on, and that she felt that pain of exile and forced migration and what being a refugee felt like...

Zubie and her husband Mosie became the closest of friends with the Hindu Punjabi neighbours who were kicked out of Pakistan by Muslims...

then came the time for Mosie and Zubie to leave for Delhi where the African National Congress office was based...

the elderly Punjabi lady and Mosie and Zubie said their goodbyes...

a year or two later, the elderly Punjabi lady’s daughter Lata married Ravi Sethi and the couple moved to Delhi...

the elderly Punjabi lady called Zubie and told her that her daughter was coming to Delhi to live and that she had told Lata, her daughter that she had a ‘sister’ in Delhi...

Lata and Ravi Sethi then moved to Delhi...

This was in the mid-1970’s...

Lata and Zubie became the closest of friends and that bond stayed true, and stays true till today, though Zubie is no more, and the elderly Punjabi lady is no more...

the son and the husband still have a bond with Lata and Ravi Sethi...

a bond that was forged between Hindu and Muslim and between two continents across the barriers of creed and time...

a bond strong and resilient, forged by the pain and trauma of a shared experience...

and that is why, and I shall never stop believing this, that hope shines still, for with all the talk of this and of that, and of that and of this, there will always be a simple woman, somewhere, anywhere, who would take the ‘other’ in as a sister, a fellow human...

and that is why there will always be hope...
hope in the midst of this and of that and of that and of this...

hope...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

The Women

The Women

(for the countless women, names unknown, who bore the brunt of Apartheid, and who fought the racist system at great cost to themselves and their families, and for my mother, Zubeida Moolla)

Pregnant, your husband on the run,
your daughter, a child, a few years old,

they hauled you in, these brutish men,
into the bowels of Apartheid's racist hell.

They wanted information, you gave them nothing,
these savage men, who skin happened to be lighter,

and white was right in South Africa back then,

but, you did not cower, you stood resolute,

you, my mother, faced them down, their power,
their 'racial superiority', their taunts, their threats.

You, my mother, would not, could not break,

You stood firm, you stood tall.

You, like the countless mothers did not break, did not fall.

You told me many things, of the pains, the struggles,

the scraping for scraps, the desolation of separation
from your beloved Tasneem and your beloved Azad,

my elder sister and brother, whom I could not grow
up with, your beloved children separated by time, by place,

by monstrous Apartheid, by brutish men,
whose skin just happened to be lighter.

You told me many things, as I grew older,
of the years in exile, of the winters that grew ever colder.

You were a fighter, for a just cause,
like countless other South African women,

you sacrificed much, you suffered the pangs,
of memories that cut into your bone, your marrow,

you resisted a system, an ideology, brutal and callous and narrow.

Yes, you lived to see freedom arrive, yet you suffered still,
a family torn apart, and struggling to rebuild a life,

all the while, nursing a void, that nothing could ever fill.

I salute you, mother, as I salute the nameless mothers,

the countless sisters, daughters, women of this land,
who fought, sacrificing it all for taking a moral stand.

I salute you, my mother, and though you have passed,
your body interred in your beloved South African soil,

you shall remain, within me, an ever-present reminder,

of the cost of freedom, the struggles, the hunger, the toil.

I salute you!

(for the brave women of South Africa, of all colours,
who fought against racial discrimination and Apartheid)

Human or Humane

Human or Humane – Zamreen Zarook

The precious creature of the divine lord,
One differ from other as the playings of harpsichord,
Every single was a pass chord,
So as to go for their fatal reward.

Muscular system is a part,
Nervous system is an art,
Skeleton system is again a handcraft,
Things matters on the beauty of the heart.

Showing kindness and sympathy,
You become a man of empathy,
This leads to be healthy and wealthy,
Where as it makes your life lengthy.

Dummy body is human,
Love and kindness within it is the humane,
decide and alter your membrane,
Before you reach the torture of the hurricane.

There's A Web of Temptation And Sin

There’s a Web of Temptation and Sin!

There’s a web of temptation and a lot of sin…
That brings slavery and a strong bondage within!

Throughout this land, there’s an evil surge!
While many lives, seem to be getting “submerged!”

Being submerged, into a life, that many believe in.
They become perverted, but want all to receive them!

The “love and acceptance,”
 that many desire.
Puts them on a tightrope! A very thin wire!

As the web of temptation and sin begin to grow.
It brings a bondage that damages the soul!

They may want to have “love and acceptance.”
But in their hearts, needs to be a godly repentance!

May the holiness of a righteous God be stirred!
That all will come back, to the truth of his word!

His son Jesus, came to the cross! He bled and died!
That through him, our lives can be totally sanctified!

Only the power of God, can bring a needed restoration!
He gives to one and all…
 A heavenly invitation!

Whosoever will… Come now! And accept him!
Won’t you take the time, to really know him?

Don’t allow the web of life to destroy
and overcome you!
Come to Jesus now! He really does
 LOVE YOU!

I like your love

I like your love
It's pure, it's innocent
and I don't think I've seen this before

You replenish my reserves before it's necessary
you lift my wings up and
make me superior to my adversary
Creatively providing the exact amount of
what I need to go another day
I like your love
and for as long as you'll have me I'll stay

You make me comfortable in my space
What she share cannot be replaced
with any other type of love
be it artificial or tainted or lustfully blatant
Those illusions don't exist because
we found this love and we claimed it

I cherish those nights when I scratch your head
When you sit between my thighs and I twist your dreads
We become an us that is so pure
that the spring waters question the purity of it's source
I like your love - it's a divine force

Women are always right

Furiously giving into a man
is the worse thing that a woman can do
when she knows she's right. He will think he can
get away with anything. Telling you
he's the boss and makes the rules from now on.
Last time I checked women had their own mind
thoughts and opinions. They don’t need, "I'm gone,
because your not my sweet old mama" kind
of speech. They need you to admit your wrong,
and tell them no matter how hard you try
that you will never be right. Sing a song
if you have to, just don’t make your girl cry.
Just remember that when you think your right,
your not. The woman always wins the fight.

WHALING SHIP CAPTAIN's LOVER part 3

WHALING SHIP CAPTAIN"S LOVER part 3

Now Jorgie met a new love
He begged to make her wife
First, they’d fetch her small boy
to start a fresh new life.

So East they went to Minot
To find her cousin there
But when they came to his big house
His smile for them was spare.

The cousin was not happy
To relinquish that fine boy
He said his wife would waste away
Without her greatest joy

And Jorgie, solemn, studied them
The woman and the child &
Wept with great compassion
Her broken heart ran wild.

Determined to do justice
Twas no one she could blame
Jorgie hugged the boy good bye
Her soul in raging flame.

She bid the woman love him
And tell him she was aunt
And with her newfound husband, John,
Departed pale and gaunt.

Now John, he was a good man
Who worshiped his new wife
They agreed to keep a secret
About her former life

And so away the years passed
Son came after son
Jorgie had a fresh life
They built a solid home.

Each month she mailed the letters
To the ‘cousin’ in the west
She parceled up the photos
true siblings in their best

But Sadness haunted Jorgie’s eyes
She tried to hide it well
But her husband knew her---
She had him in her spell.

So sad she was and so forlorn
He needed to confide
To someone who could help him
to cheer his cherished bride.

And so he told his sister
His wife had longed to see
From her past her loved ones---
Her own sweet family.

So sister Lena planned a scheme—
For Jorgie wild and free
the gift would be a great surprise
And John he did agree.

They would take the children
Aboard the westbound train
Jump the train at Minot
To see the boy again.

Wait they must til autumn
For Jorgie twas the best
In May would be a newborn babe
Nuzzling at her breast

Then hit the plague of ‘17
Entire towns were dead—
And in their midst was Jorgie--
With her newborn-- cold, in bed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: Jorgie : (pronounced Yor’ gee) was a nickname
Her name: Sena Jorgine Larsen
My father’s mother. The baby named Clara. My was nearly 4 when they died. His father, John Anderson—Jorgie’s husband , never remarried. He lived to be in his 70’s. His sister, my great aunt, Lena Anderson Hildebrandt, told me this story in 1971.

Parents Need To Be In Church With Their Children

Parents Need To Be In Church With Their Children… Many parents bring their kids to church… Hoping they’ll be a “better person.” They want them to hear about God. And listen to the “Sunday lesson.” They often tell the children to listen and obey God’s ways. But you’ll never see the parents at church on Sundays! They’re “too busy” to spend time with God... Even at home. Then tell their children they love them. And often leave them alone. They parents don’t want to take the time to give them their attention. They want the Sunday school teacher to give them a “moral direction.” Parents need to be the man and woman God wants them to be! They need to have Christian principles that their children can see! Won’t you be there for your children and help them to understand… What it means to be a Christian. And to be a Godly woman or man! It’s Christ’ desire that you as parents be a Godly example! There’s just too many temptations for your kids to handle! Living for God. As a family. Is the best thing you can do! Christ stands at your heart’s door… The rest is up to YOU! For Anene Booysen 1996 - 2013

Hamba Kahle Anene Booysen! (1996 – 2013)

Dead at 17, brutally raped and left to die,
in the dirt,

at a construction site in Bredasdorp.

‘horrific’, ‘repulsed’,
‘brutally raped’, ‘shocked’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

murdered at 17, brutally raped and left to die,

in the dirt,

at a construction site in Bredasdorp.

Anene was raped,
savagely mutilated,

Her 17 year old body tossed aside,

by the hands of men.

Men, always men,

cowardly, beastly, perverted, twisted men.

‘Beastly’, ‘perverted’, ‘twisted’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

who now lies cold and dead.

How many Anene Booysens will it take,

for us,
society,
families,
people,

human-beings,

and,

men, especially men,

to excise the ghastly menace,

of the heinous capacity that resides,

within men,

always men,

to brutalise, rape, mutilate, and murder.

‘Brutalise’, ‘murder’, ‘rape’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

murdered at 17, brutally raped and left,

to die,

in the dirt,

at a construction site,

in Bredasdorp.

SUNFLOWER-THE SUN

When you come home late
drunk
stinking
vulgar
i open up the door
warm your food
take off your clothes
i carry you to bed.
Wake you early in the morning
run you a hot bath
Choose and iron your clothes
Make your coffee
pack an apple and snack
make sure my man will be fresh and looking fine.

      Five years and counting,
simple words like thank you,no more
the doting look you used to give me,no more
      flowers and candy,no more
      you are beautiful,no more
      phone calls,diner,family vacations, no more
am proud to be your man,no more
      i love you,no more
thank you for loving me,no more
      the kissing,the hugging,the sex,i ain't getting none no more.

When you said you wanted me home full time
i dropped my career to take care of the kids.
Though i love a little flesh on me
i trim every time you say am getting thick.
Baby every time you say it ain't enough
i always make it up to you
when you say jump
i never question why
i just fly all the way.

            (repeat Vs 2)

I keep my body tight
decorate the house as you like
make sure the food is divine
remind the kids what great a man you are
Oh!i even pretend that i am alright.

Baby each minute of everyday without hesitation
i do
will do whatever it takes to make you proud
i sacrifice
forfeit
let you trample all over me so you shine.

      Five years and counting,
simple words like thank you,no more
the doting look you used to give me,no more
      flowers and candy,no more
      you are beautiful,no more
      phone calls,diner,family vacations, no more
am proud to be your man,no more
      i love you,no more
thank you for loving me,no more
      the kissing,the hugging,the sex,i ain't getting none no

Day nor night do you appreciate me anymore.
You don't see me no more.

Baby i wanna know
why, when and how did i stop being your woman
your best friend and sweetness in life.
why,when and how
did i stop being your wife?
because baby its been

      Five years and counting,
simple words like thank you,no more
the doting look you used to give me,no more

Sometimes I Like To Pretend Things Never Came To A End

Sometimes I like to pretend, things never came to a end. But over time, our love became a crime. I didn't know what we had, would ever end so bad. But then I knew things weren't right, when we started to fight. Now I walk down memory lane all the time, the pain is worst then committing a crime. We only caused eachother pain, but we were eachothers maine. I thought things would be alright, but I cried alot that night. I don't want things to change, without you my life is strange. You said you wanted me so much it started to hurt that you couldn't wait, now im just another person you hate. When you said you didn't care, I knew the person I loved was no longer there. You aren't the same, the new you is lame. We both fell, now it's hell. You use to always be here for me, like family. But now your nowhere in sight, things aren't right. Empty is all that I can feel, I still can't believe this is real. I didn't mean to let you get away, I didn't know what to say. Am i with the right guy, or am i telling myself a lie. I was afraid to loose what we had, but to you that choice was bad.

Burning Embers

After being together for a time of great length
I have no idea how I put up with you, or where I get the strength
You make me so furious, just so mad!
Why do I put myself through this, if I just end up being sad?
I get a reminder every morning when I turn to your side of the bed.
The passion our love used to have, a fire burning such a deep red.
Years pass and the fire dies down
I look at you and your once glowing smile, turned into a frown.
What’s changing I really don’t know
Sometimes wondering if it was all a show…
But in the morning, breath stinky and hair a mess
I look at you and know I’m blessed.
Because behind those eyes I see a spark
Memories of making out in the park
The only time we’d cry
is when we had to say good-bye.
I see something that’s keeping us alive
During the screaming shouts there is something in our hearts we are trying to revive
We’re trying to rekindle the burning embers
When all of the sudden, not just our minds, but our hearts remember
We lean in for a passionate kiss
And all of the sudden, remember the feeling of bliss.
And who knew that was the fuel we needed,
A blissful kiss our hearts and lips have so deeply missed
To rekindle our fire
To rekindle our passion
To rekindle our faith and trust we had in each other.

They Left so Abruptly

They Left so Abruptly

(for the countless South Africans, of all colours, who dedicated their lives for freedom and democracy)

the valiant ones
countless
many known
many more nameless

the truest sons and singers
husbands and poets
lovers and wives
daughters and farmers
workers and sisters
brothers and friends

they left so abruptly
with quiet pride
steely courage
gentle dignity

they left so abruptly
leaving us our tomorrows
brighter
hopeful
filled with promise

they left so abruptly
so that we may breathe
the breath of liberty
the air of freedom
the warmth of justice

they left so abruptly
leaving with us their parting gift

freedom
inkululeko
swatantrata
liberte
azadi
vhudilangi
libertad

they left so abruptly
yet we remember them all
today
in the days that slipped away
and in the many more that we await

they left so abruptly
yet they remain
hewed into our memories
etched in our consciences
engraved in our hearts
they left so abruptly
and yet they endure
with us
within us
now and forever more

God's Plan for Marriage

There’s a truth that remains since
the beginning of time.
God created man and woman,
 with marriage in mind.

From the dust of the ground,
Adam was formed.
From his side came Eve. A new life was “born!”

God’s design for marriage became
very evident and clear…
If not for Adam and Eve,
none of us would be here!

Marriage is a blessing from God.
A gift from God above.
A man and a woman come together
as an expression of their love.

Anything different than one man
and woman is perverted.
This is a lie from our culture that
 is trying to be “inserted.”

God gave us all a natural love
with a strong ambition.
To come as a husband and wife
is a God given intention!

Read from the books of Genesis
 thru Revelation…
God’s idea of marriage is
 for any person or nation.

Many can try to change what God
 has already designed.
It’s no wonder why so many have
“confused” minds.

Let’s come back to God and
 trust him with our life!
The one who set up marriage as;
“one husband and one wife!”

God's Definition of Marriage

God designed marriage as the real thing!
Anything less, is what a counterfeit brings!

His concept of one man and woman is very real.
He’s not interested in bowing to “man’s appeal.”

His court of justice rings very loud and clear!
The truth of his word shall NEVER disappear!

You can look in Genesis and it is found!
He created Adam from the dust of the ground!

He designed Eve from one of his ribs!
They were joined together as both lived!

He didn’t need a constitution to know “their rights.”
He gave them HIS WORD as their guiding light!

Satan has been trying to pervert what God created!
This is a truth. And need not be debated!

We have cheapened the value of the marriage institution!
And have added needless
chaos and confusion!

Through the Bible, one husband and wife are taught!
Unless you want to live in Sodom, as did Lot!

Ungodly perversions take many forms and kinds.
And it soon piles up garbage into our minds!

“What God has put together.”
 “Let no man put asunder.!”
Many ideas of “marriage,” is a total blunder!

One man and one woman is what God ordained in Eden.
It was Adam and Eve.
Not Adam and Steven!

The choices in life are yours! And yours alone!
Who is going to be the Lord, of your heart and home?

Kate's Bible Add On

And it came to pass that they ate their dinner
and that she did washeth up.
And she did leave the dishes to drain
Whilst she put on the washing machine.
and the man was very pleased.

And it further came to pass
that she gave the man some pudding
and he was more pleased.
And then it came to pass the he fell asleep
By the fire.

And the Lord God,said
who is this man that sleepeth by his fire?
And he said,I shall waken him up
And the man awoke,
And God spake unto him

How is it that the woman laboureth in ye kitchen.
And that thou sleepeth here in an armchair.
and the man said,
but Thou didst order women to labour.
And the Lord God said unto the man
Why dost Thou remember so selectively what I have said?
And the man said,
I knoweth not and therefore I will help this woman.
And the Lord God said,
Why dost thou not think of it thyself?
And the man said in reply,
It was Thou that made me,O God.

And the Lord God was displeased with the man.
so he called down a plague of butterflies
To prevent him from sleeping.
And when the woman came in
she was much pleased to see these butterflies
and so she fell onto the man
And he did make love unto her.
And the cat was very pleased.

For it thrilled him to watch humans mating
and gave him hope
That the Lord God would take his rib and make a mate for him.
And indeed it doth seem to have happened
Judging by all the cats staring in ye old window here
And by their ecstatic yelps
That the Lord God was very generous with them
and made them many mates.
For truly there is no jealousy among them
And they mate freely and happily
and never have rows about the washing up..as they eat straight from the can.Amen

Here endeth thy lesson for today.

Fifty-Seven Years Ago Today

Fifty-Seven Years Ago Today

With new dress and suit, flowers, and hair fixed just right
The dreams, plans, and labors of our lives would unite

My brother and his gal stood beside us on the spot
To give witness to the world that we tied the knot

We stood nervous before the preacher at his home
Promised to cling to each other; never to roam

Said “I do” to the questions; gave the preacher his pay
Man and wife; fifty-seven years ago today.

A True Man's Love

When a man loves a woman he will treat her like a queen

When a man loves a woman he will stick by her side no matter what

When a man loves a woman he will never put his hands on her for she is to be treasured like gold

When a man loves a woman he will do whatever he can for her

When a man loves a woman he will make sure she is safe at all times

When a man loves a woman he will respect her and her every wish

When a man loves a woman he will treasure her heart and carry it with him where ever he goes

When a man loves a woman he will always be loyal and honest with her

When a man loves a woman he will tell her everyday how much she means to him

When a man loves a woman he will tell her everyday how beautiful she is

When a man loves a woman he will tell her everyday how much he loves her

When a man loves a woman he will never stop loving her until the end of time

For this is a true man's love and it lasts forever because there is no end

A Woman Scorned

There's no fury like the wrath of a woman scorn. Every woman will have known that they
will have been lied to, cheated on, and deceived by their husbands/boyfriends and will
have driven them over the edge. It seems that these men (the boyfriends/husbands) have
been taking these women (the girlfriends/wives) and what they've done for them for granted
and it's not right. It also seems that these women are not good for the guys and the women
are angry about it. Some of the guys (the husbands/boyfriends) think that other women are
way more intelligent and way more attractive than their current wives/girlfriends,
especially when these men are having multiple affairs behind the backs of their women. A
woman's scorn means that all of the ladies have had enough of being lied to, cheated on,
and being belittled by a bunch of womanizing jerks, that includes the loser boyfriends.
And for a bunch of women scorned by infidelities and lies, there's such thing as bad
karma. What these bad guys did to their women will happen to them in the near future, and
when they pass on, these womanizing fiends will meet their judgment day and God will
punish them for all of the misdeeds they've done. The men may lie to their women and they
may lie to their family members, that will have included their parents, but they can't lie
to Him. He sees everything that's going on, and the men (husbands/boyfriends) are going to
pay for what they did to their women (wives/girlfriends). And like the saying goes:
"there's no fury like the wrath of a woman scorned." These men better be really careful
around these women because if they take them for granted, there's going to be heck to pay.

Less Than A Day

The touch of your whispers has blown through the air
And the wave of summer disappears in the sand
There’s nothing to stop these memories are gone
Let the playbook now rest for the feelings they’ve stopped
Slowly it turns the small hands on your wrist
The knots in your belly have clenched like a fist
You picture the east and close her eyes
For the dawn’s a coming in all of our lives
The night’s now bleeding forever it tilts
Circling the orbit no rest from the filth
Rivers are flowing and spirits are dim
And the skies from the ocean will always stand still
The pain from the east has moved to the west
These days are numbered just like the rest
Blind in the rivers the hand clears it away
The whole world has changed in less than a day
