The Homeplace

Here further down the hillside slope
Down close to the creek with hope

My husband bought a house, land
Fenced in and made many plans

Subdued the land to cow pasture
And planted a garden, fruit trees sure

Fathered another child to call him sir
The creek seemed to like the stir

Enjoyed the children for a little while___
Loved them so that it made her smile

Today she loves grandchildren the same
No girls there are in frills ___tame

The creek keeps on flowing to the sea
The land is mostly stripped of trees

(This is my adaptation of Robert Frost's poem "The Birthplace". I hope that it does not insult
his work.)

The Wedding

Wedding Night in Raqqa

Cyclonic violet vision

Etheral and immortal

She swirls her sand baked torso.

Evoking the initial collision of primordial seed,

Swathed in gossamer purple veils,

Writhing to the stomping and clapping

Of jeweled ankles

And henna stained hands.

The tribes have united for my wedding to their son.

I ,foreign and naive, swoon to the power

Of ancient rhythm and verse,

Ripe, fertile gestures,

Pregnant with throbbing pulses

And scattered beats of flailing arms,

Bleating tongues, spinning robes.

A cacophony of incessant chant rose from the dancing women,

Growning louder, feverish in their pleasure

And the nearness of release.

I join in the dancing.

They swath me in voiles and lead me to the center

I dance, and I succumb to my wedding night in Raqqa.

The Owl and the PusyCat Sail

Together the Owl and the PusyCat were married
Then again sailed out over the deep blue seas
Searching forever for the great Land of Nod,
To the place where they could find true peace.
True peace, true peace… Where they could find true peace.

The love that twined forever within their hearts
They sought throughout all the wonderous lands
Going to the place where they would live in peace,
A place where true peace, rules and lives in the hearts of the land.
The land, the land… Where true peace lives in the heart of the land.

Alas, the love of the heart, though truly not easy to find…
Is easier to find than the love of peace, found throughout the land.
So it’s said they will continue to sail, until that day comes true,
And when they land for the final time, will be up to me and you.
Me and you, me and you… That day will be up to me and you.

Average Age 19

Once again, the powers that must
In rise again in what we trust
An overseas conflict, another war
Just what in the hell are we fighting for

Families are asking, Korea has just passed
Generations again reft, how long will it last
A country in need, to rebuild again
Flags at half mast, in wind and rain strain

Once again into war, sent by the Washington Post
To send back reports to hit home the most
Military observers were the first to be sent in
Another chapter of man entering existing sin

I'm witnessing our ariel power, Lam Son 719
US planners determine their incursion, saying all will be fine
Along the Mekong River, we'll carpet bomb their supply trail
Tons of munitions and napalm, this spread surely cannot fail

Many sorties are being flown, for the wounded and the dead
Whilst Nixon and his cronies, aren't thinking with their heads
The news of losses has reached me, nineteen have been killed
Eleven missing, fifty nine wounded, more American blood spilled

Seven fixed wing aircraft, more sons in action loss
Whilst back at home more protests, fading the dyeing's gloss
To to this job that I do, I was never prepared for this
To witness such bloody scenes, and ignore that life is bliss

How can I write about a soldier, whose name I'll never know
Killed at nineteen years old, his family he'll never see grow
Or even explain to his parents, when carried from the AH-1
His body bullet riddled and limp, when lifted it bloodily run

I never went back to the theatre, called the Vietnam War
Having witnessed the wanton killing, what were we fighting for
This colonial conflict that started, us on the side of France
So many came back as strangers, many to live in trance

Marble in Columns on Green

On a slope graced with green
White marble stands in proud salute

For beneath these engraved pillars of memory
Lie the resting places of heroes

A solitary green fir looks down
As if sheltering the lost and the taken

So many names, from all walks of life
A father, brother a girlfriend or wife

On a sunny day, they glow radiant like their lives
On a dull day, they stand out against the greys

For the living, life goes on
Tomorrow is another day

I Can See

I seen a man
I seen a man
Bearing the weight of his yore problems in life
No tears wept, he left the emotions to his wife
I seen a man
Daring to proceed in front of crowds and be his own person
Discovering the independence of his character in confusion
I seen a man
Touch not, he could not feel
Speak not, his mouth was sealed
Hear not, no one can listen to his mind
Taste not, the insipid peels of lime
I seen a man
In his wild days, love, would be thrown out there
Following an untraced path, set in air
Hate would bubble within
But it would not erupt, only applause... Fading
His story would confuse the young, puzzle the old
This is just the introduction untold
I seen a man
Imaged in black and white
I seen a man
But I am blind
I seen a man
I seen a man

Today Is Terrible----

The cracked spine of
the book I dropped
at the call.
A chip in my
windshield left by a
pompous *?#@! in a
red sports car as I
drive to the
service.
Rain expectorating
from an ashen sky as
the dirt is turned.
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
crack in grandma’s
spine from her fall
down the stairs.
The chip in her
amazingly smart mind
after eighteen years
as a teacher.
Tears running,
dripping from my
Mothers ashen face
as she cries “My
mama’s dead.”
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
cracked family
emotions left raw
and empty.
The chip in Grandpas
numb mind at the
gathering… “Where is
Irene she should be
here?”
Faces gone ashen
with dread, do we
leave him numb or
remind him that his
wife is dead?
Today is terrible.
Though this is less
terrible than the
empty silences,
missing the jokes
Grandma used to
crack.
Grandma’s laugh and
her endless smile
which always exposed
that tooth with the
chip in it.
Without her the
world has become
empty, bleak, and
ashen.
Today is terrible.

holokauston Page 1 of 2

Around that table, picture the scene
Self appointed leaders if you know what I mean
What were the topics on the Agenda that day
The Jewish race is about to pay

Who gave the right for this decision that's made
Who has the right to cleanse and degrade
To decide who lived, to decide who dies
Another chapter, I still wonder why

They came in the day they came in the night
Women and children pulled out of sight
Herded aboard like cattle and sheep
Many a family awoke from their sleep

Dazed and confused as they are taken away
Where will they be at the end of the day
From their warm houses and their warm beds
What must be going through their heads

As they travel through days and through the night
Up ahead, they see lots of lights
They depart the trucks and board the train
Their faces scared under the strain

Asking questions from family and others
Generations, sisters and brothers
Why are we here, where are we going
Windowless carriages with no way of knowing

We come to a stop, soldiers aplenty
Towers and wire, topped with sentries
What can this place be they have taken us to
As we head to large gates as they shuffle us through

Families separated, herded in file
Women and children, not one did smile
Taken to rooms where our heads were shaved
Is this the way humans behaved

Clothes discarded, as we enter the shower
No signs of water no signs of power
Doors slammed as we are all crammed in
History will recall this evil of sins

As we stand in the dark, chanting Jewish faith
Can hear the voices can't see the face
Noises above, do the showers start
The event has begun that tells us Humans apart

Questions and sighs, as walled vents show daylight
Some thing is falling then their slammed tight
A strange aroma starts to fill the air
As all around are screams of despair

Twenty minutes have passed and the quietness is rife
Two thousand people, two thousand lives
Pellets called HCN, or Hydrogen Cyanide

holokauston Page 2 of 2

After the quiet we all have to go
Dragged and carted by the Sonderkommando
To be dumped in pits covered by lime
A race to dispose by it's Human slime

Auschwitz, Buchenwald & Dachau slaughtered
Many a son, many a daughter
Experiments on children women and men
Some aged 90, many under 10

In 45, their end was near, how many alive would reappear
As Russians, British and US troops
Chased the Hun to their German roots
Each camp reached showed it's sordid past
Where millions of me, were massively gassed

In Auschwitz, to this present day
Birds don't fly, no animals play
The reminder is all for there to see
Those terrible days what happened to me

It's 1948, our Nation is born
From histories past, populations torn
To all who survived I wish you well
And our new born world, called Israel

He Left Her a White Rose

Its the morning after the night before
As i leave my new wife, whom i lovingly adore

My orders came through, overseas i head
With my band of brothers, not knowing what's ahead

Married for days, whilst conflict takes him away
Holding sheets where we slept, my memory bouquet

At the bottom of our bed, there lies a virgin white rose
With a note beneath i am in momentary froze

I sit and stare as to what it might say
Knowing this is the day my love flies away

My darling Tinks i leave this white rose for you
Its pristine appearance describes my darling so true

It symbolises you, so innocent so pure
With your love in my heart, i will return i assure

Think of the day, from these distant lands from beyond
For the morning after the night before, we will respond

This virgin white rose, so bridal so pure
You and its safety i will secure, for you to return for our future

The day you come home, it shall lay on our bed
And we will continue our lives, as you have always said

I will go about my tomorrow's, thinking of you every day
And prey that this virgin white rose, never turns deathly grey

There's A Web of Temptation And Sin

There’s a Web of Temptation and Sin!

There’s a web of temptation and a lot of sin…
That brings slavery and a strong bondage within!

Throughout this land, there’s an evil surge!
While many lives, seem to be getting “submerged!”

Being submerged, into a life, that many believe in.
They become perverted, but want all to receive them!

The “love and acceptance,”
 that many desire.
Puts them on a tightrope! A very thin wire!

As the web of temptation and sin begin to grow.
It brings a bondage that damages the soul!

They may want to have “love and acceptance.”
But in their hearts, needs to be a godly repentance!

May the holiness of a righteous God be stirred!
That all will come back, to the truth of his word!

His son Jesus, came to the cross! He bled and died!
That through him, our lives can be totally sanctified!

Only the power of God, can bring a needed restoration!
He gives to one and all…
 A heavenly invitation!

Whosoever will… Come now! And accept him!
Won’t you take the time, to really know him?

Don’t allow the web of life to destroy
and overcome you!
Come to Jesus now! He really does
 LOVE YOU!

Changing Life's Script into a Happy Saga

Life is a happy adventure when you reach your dreams.
Finding you, my Ingrid, has filled my days with sunbeams.
Two hearts that God has bound together as one, are we.
Laughing and playing, walking through life, soul mates, spirits free!
I love you.
Are we not drawn onward to new era?
Changing life’s script into a happy saga -
Before you, I walked through life with sorrow, bleakly.
Many years of loneliness, I had to face bravely.
I thank God above you came to Florida from Norway.
One day in my doorway, mayday became a parfait…stay!
True love arrived, unplanned.
I wanna hold your hand.
Always and forever, our true hearts sing in cadence.
We agreed; pledged our love with secure assurance.
Time is bursting with thought, serenity…joy.
Happy tears fill my eyes for I am not your toy.
When I feel like I am running on empty, you take my hand.
You and I strolling through life in our woodland.-
New tingling hearts embrace their sweetest spark.

Sexy Kiss

We share a look from across the room and I saunter into your arms,
No matter how hard I try to defy, I can never resist your charms;

You slip a hand behind my head and drag me into your kiss,
You tantalize my senses as I lose myself to bliss;

Desire takes over my body as you take my breath away,
We stand in utter silence, we’ve nothing left to say;

There is an overpowering smell of whiskey and cheap perfume,
But locked in a passionate kiss, we’re alone in the crowded room;

Your kisses taste so potent, I savor the exotic flavor of you,
Your intoxicating to my senses, like the sweetest morning dew;

Wrapped in a fervent embrace, our bodies meld to form one;
I lose myself to you and it’s only just begun...

Life

I do not long for yesterday no grief my soul can find
for everything is just in the end of our time
questions left unanswered can make you seek to find
but in the end it is our destiny that wins our mind

Life is a beautiful tragedy for goodness and glory are divine
how would we know how blessed we are if to hate we remain blind
it is only through those darkest days we truly learn to love our life
so as I lay my quill down finished with each dear line
I must instill in all love and honor will always remain firmly by your side

This is something I came to know in the last few weeks. Sometimes love has always been right beside you. It may be inside yourself. Grief makes us stronger and as they say time heals all wounds. One day you will wake happy and glad to love again. Stronger than before. It is not always easy to forgive those we love or love us, but take it from me it is worth it in the end. You will be so happy you did not break or turn to others. A new friend can not fix the problems in us only we can. When we see that we can be a friend and not just have them. I am proud to have been through hell and know I am finally free from my memories.

Always I Miss You

When I'm home sick, sulking half the day because your not here,
And getting sadder if I say madder because your not there,
I remind myself in an unusual way theres worse fared,
If you don't mind being compared,

Repeating the many ways you cared,
The experiences fondly replayed in many ways,
Thoughts and memories that make me gay,
 Every recipe, every taste,
Looking back it all seems in an awkward haste,

Now it is what I use to fill my plate,
 It's what I use so I won't be late,
 Staying here learning to appreciate,
All the miles, trucks caring freight..

For your Christmas gifts the children just can't wait,
But if you visit my mind would quake.

The soldier, the war, and I

The soldier, the war, and I

Today I am home and thinking to my self..
What would I be doing if I had a soldier coming home to me and my family?
What would I be doing if I was the soldier looking to going home to my family?
And then, I look back at all the years passed since this last war..

Many children have grown to become men, Others have grown to become soldiers
Where would I be if I had gone to the war and fought for my country?
Where would I be if I had gone and came back safely?
Where would I be if I had not gone at all because I was not qualified to go?
Would I be with my family or in a hospital injured?
Would I be standing proud, and laughing with my friends and family?
Or would I be dead, as I never got to come back?

Today I am home and thinking to myself..
Thinking of all of those brave soldiers, children still
Who are out there, suffering.. And some ill

Today I am home and thinking to myself..
How many woman are crying because of their gone loved ones
How many men are crying for their loved and missed ones
How many children are fatherless or motherless, or both!

And at the end I stop. I think no more..
I am grateful for the things I have,
I am grateful for the people who surround me...
And I am sure grateful to never have gone to a war; yet,
I sure appreciate the thoughts, courage, life, and suffering
Of all of those who have been touched by it.

Professional Divorcé

Lost in emotions
Two souls approaching new path
Bitterness adorned

Forgetting love, possibly they shared.
Reasoning on the fights, they had bared.
Manly disfiguring blow.
So possible you know.
Now departing, both no longer paired.

Marriages four, divorced three times now in this life of mine.

If another comes my way, next lover shall be a glass of wine..

Lost Where They do not Belong <> End Line Poem

Parents and spouses to their photo's they look, Another
hero was killed fighting for our freedom. Lost
so far from his home and family, Today
we continue to send our sons and daughters, But
there will come a day when, They
will live as free as we do. Will
we ever learn from these theatres, Never

She flew in on a Sunday

She came to me.
Moving inside the winds of change and I saw her.

Opening my eyes wider than wide,
a newness washes over me
as though the previous years just melted away,
into something more, something real.

Stumbling, the floor opens beneath me and,
I'm falling
faster
further
unaware of my directions, I fly to her.

Fear only exist in her absense therefore,
I must clothe myself in robes of her spirit.
Her lips full, fill my daydreams,
Her eyes consume my nights.
The chess game of 10 years prior seem like an unessential waste of time
Yet, it marks our story,
traces our land,
flavors our history
Without it, she would be another's,
and I,
would be caught in the wind of something else.

Something loud and noisy,
empty of spirit,
closed to her and everyone else,
flying in circles,
lost in living
without love,
without passion,
without life.

Setting up House

I met a woman, fell in love
She was a gift from above
Soon she became my spouse
We gathered things and set up house.

Some things were new without a flaw
Some were hand me downs from Ma and Paw
For some we saved nickels in a can
Some were bought on the installment plan.

Children came – a total of four
Two boys – two girls- no need for more
We managed to provide room and board
Did the best we could afford.

We moved around from house to house
On an adventure – me and my spouse
Gathering things to which we would cling
But we rarely got rid of anything.

Tables, chairs, couches, and beds
Cabinets and shelves taller than our heads
Mugs, pictures, and bells we did collect
Mementoes and heirlooms on which to reflect.

A man gathers a lot in over fifty years
And remembers many of them with tears
Many a thing still fills my house
But it’s not a home without my spouse.

She has a room in a retirement home
Care is provided and she cannot roam
I dreamed one day we would be old timers
But I never figured on Alzheimer’s.

Now I have a house full of stuff
Too many things - more than enough
The time has come to downsize
To an apartment in the high rise.

My children came one by one
Went through my stuff until they were done
One takes this and another takes that
And managed to do so without a spat.

Giving things away is a lonely task
My irritability I cannot mask
Gathering things with my spouse
Was more fun than cleaning out house.

Dance

My baby
My precious
My warm and glowing light
I cannot seem to sleep at night
For dreaming while I'm awake.

I dream of the kindness I see in your eyes
And I yearn to be able to hold you.
I dream of what Dubai is gonna look like
And how happy I think I'm gonna feel
Complete.
Content

Radiant.

Over and over I say your name, and only because it brings its you I've fallen in love with.
Suki
My Suki
You
are my
Suki!
Lol, my friend I can't say it enough and I absolutely love it.
Love you.

Aw man, if ever there were words, I'd sing them to you.
If only there were actions that showed you strong enough, I would do nothing else but
dance them for you.

But let me tell you this, my sweet love.
I have my whole life to sing
My whole life to dance
My whole life to dream.

And I want nothing more than to spend my life doing those things with you.

Murder in the Skies

It was on this day
December the 21st, 1988
Pan Am Flight 103
Would learn of it's fate

Blown out of the sky
For all the world to see
Two hundred and fifty nine people
Rained down on me

My country Scotland
Lockerbie town
The falling of life
In deathly down

This 747
Model 121
Laid-en with fuel
The horror's begun

Argentinian, Belgium
Bolivia too
Canada, France
Sat beside you

Germany, Hungary
India as well
Hey, Herr
The flights going well

Ireland, Israel
Italy flew
To go to the States
All feeling brand new

Jamaica, Japan
Philippines seated
Family toil
Families depleted

South Africa, Spain
Sweden in flight
JFK
Will not be tonight

Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago
The United Kingdom, United States
All of the above
On this December date

We also remember
Eleven on the ground
Who obliterated to nothing
Not hearing a sound

The town of Lockerbie
Will never be the same
Yet one of the gang goes free
Because the poor guys in pain

Where's the compassion
Of the 270 lost
Their memory now tarnished
To the Scottish Governments cost

We set him free
To his home he goes
Treated like a hero
All compassion has froze

My thoughts and my tears
Are for the truly lost ones
Who will never enjoy
The return to their hometown

In dedication to the 270 who lost their lives on December 21st 1988.

Callous eyes

Callous

Every tiny things matter in a young world,
and then with callous eyes, he is used to pick
days and nights as they pass him, as they pass beyond.

Sometimes he panics, fears that she’ll go away
and he won’t feel any ache, just be watching her
moving away, erasing; looking at the place
where she has been seen last; with covert anger.

A tiny butterfly flies, in and out, in and…
the patch of rain raises smells, smells of musty dusk.
The callous eyes follow the hands clutching heart
where past is blending in pains and agonies.

Prison Song/Love Prison

Hands and feet shackled
You are traped and can't get out
Doing time away from me and our son

Love, god,and our son is making you strong
You are in place you don't want to be
I miss you like crazy

The life we was going to have we will have in time
You are sick of that place
You have to keep a low profile
How can we deal with this

I'm not going to cry because I can't anymore
I am going to be strong for you and our son
I feel like my hands and feet are shackled too but not in that way

I am in love with you and in the love prison
Think about a special place and me
We can be in the love prison together

We will be together in time in the love prison
I can't wait til you get out of the other prison
I still love you
I have your back til the day I die
I am not going to leave you

I Do

Admist the rocky mountains
And the natural springs
Comes a better place I remembered things

under this lamp post is where
you first asked me to take
your hand in marriage

I remember you down on
one knee and the snow was
just starting to fall

You looked like a little lost puppy
looking for a way to speak I
took your hand and said yes

That was over twenty years ago
And to this date we still come back
to the Springs of Colorado and say I Do

Symphony of Broken Things

Is it a dream or distant memory?
An Italian Concerto begins
The alto singer bellows
A passionate tale
Proud and stout
Commanding attention

A classic narcissistic symphony

Balancing a tight-rope
A thunderous crescendo begins
Strumming your violin
Drums rattle and roll
You tip, waddle and fall
Boom, Bang, Ting, Tang

A symphony of broken things

Your white walls marred
Sheet-Rock littered floors
By years of crimson scarlet
You know this scene by heart
This is your life
A dramatic melody

A symphony of broken things

You muster your courage
Hit your knees and pray
Picking up the pieces
Hoping his tune will change
You begin an ensemble
Piecing remnants together again

A symphony of broken things

The Day we met Arthur

There was a cool breeze in the air
At this location I sat and silently stared
My spouse was here by my side
Here we were visiting the place-
where I was once dressed as the bride

The flowers laid by the pond so cheery
While we would think of a timeless theory
The memory brought us back to an ageless treasure
While we walked here at our leisure

The tips of the trees brushed back with a degree
A storm was brewing it was easy to see
Then out of the corner of our eyes-
came a man all dressed up with pride

He was wearing his fishing gear
And with his personality so carefree as he appeared
We spoke to him of what if any fish he had caught
And smiled and shared his stories that he had sought

He then asked my husband if he wanted to learn how to fly fish
We turned toward him and said we’d return if you wish
We came back to him and helped him with his rod
His eyes looked so happy his soul seem to nod

He talked up storm and I stood and listened with patience
Although with his slow moves was wearing quietly on my impatience
Then the skies turned to angry steel
I knew in a moment a thunderstorm would wheel

A crack of thunder rattled overhead
And sent me a message get in the car or dread
The rain came down at sideways angle
Soon the fisherman’s lines would tangle

My husband came up running to the car
The storm took over it was so bizarre
My husband told me he was a dieing man
There I was with my new book in my hand

He told me Arthur had a stroke
He had Alzheimer disease and was dieing of cancer
Then my heart just spoke

I gave him my new book and signed my name
I told him to read it to his wife if that’s all the same
He turned and smiled,
He had the spirit of a young child

(This story was written for Arthur
Who is dieing of cancer and suffers the early stages of Alzheimer disease
May his living years ring out with sprit!)

No Color or Relgion, Ever Stopped a Bullet from a Gun

I heard on the news
Another two are lost
That makes 206
Is there, a whatever the cost

We are there to assist
A country so reft
Inner fighting
To help the rest of the left

Guerrilla warfare
Tactically strong
Thousands of miles
Where we don't belong

The people we vote in
Would they go in their place
To show their people
Dying is no disgrace

I will never allow
My children to fight
A war so improper
A conflict not right

To show our presence
As we parade their land
A remote explosion
Blown up on demand

How can we serve
A regime so unfair
They can starve their women
Because he can't have her there

To fight for their freedom
As they fight themselves
The decision should be made
To save ourselves

The Russians failed
So now we try
Coalition troops
In daily die

The modern wars
Will always be run
No color or religion
Ever stopped a bullet from a gun

Rwanda Wrongs

In 1957, there existed a plan
To rid Rwanda of the Tutsi clan
Power they had, too much for one side
The foundation for, future Genocide

1960, the monarchy was gone
Will both sides sing the same song
Sadly not as the persecutions start
Ripping this African country apart

1973, under a new regime
Juvénal Habyarimana promised restrain
Progress and reconciliation proposed to be
For this country to unite, finally

1994, Habyarimana gunned down
His assassination, country drowns
This killing of him, the carnage starts
Population half, ripped apart

The killings horrific, no one spared
Machete slain, heads caved
Hacking, be-headings as families fall
As CNN tune in, the world appalled

The continuance, of the slaughtered tribes
Men, women and children you can't describe
Women raped, and the unborn slain
This horrific act of human pain

Most of the fallen, in their own villages dead
By another clan, they thought were friends
Indescribable to the world as our televisions show
The massacre of innocents, as we watch blow by blow

Where does it all end, can we try the same songs
How many more of these Rwanda wrongs
It appears to be a human trait
To kill each other for the sake of it

Locked Away

My husbands actions locked with my soul and remained at our frount door,
He reenlisted again and had left for the Afganistan war.
My eyes became swollen the tears begain to pour.
Then all of a sudden, for some reason, one day I wasn't mad at him anymore.
I inwardly waited to hear his keys rattle and his duffle hit the floor.

Hurricane Katrina

Awesome power is it natures wrath
To devastate all in its path
Twisters, winds driving rain
Leaves no place to look the same

In a way as it gathers pace
Never in a human place
Hidden killer out at sea
Land urge where it wants to be

Building strength, gathers speed
To destroy any breeds
The one i recall in this worlds arena
This phenomenon called Hurricane Katrina

Louisiana, New Orleans
Was subject by one so mean
Her awesome might hammers home
We are not on this world alone

The sights viewed all around the world
Natures torture from her living swirl
To consternate these Southern Lands
The rains and winds spew from her glands

The aftermath and splatter view
Killed so many, survivors few
City blocks submerged and broken
A legacy of natures token

New Orleans Jazz continues to play
Although nature won this day
Resilient folks, awesome place
Human nature won this race

Undercover we will rise
But in mother nature we will not despise
She gives us life, we share her hope
To view her strength, we can not gloat.

A Hard Mix Between Heaven and Hell

There is a place where few have been
No beginning and no end
A place where I am prepared to go
They say you reap what you sow
I have done my share of very bad things
I flew home to piss on my ex-wife\'s grave
Drinking, smoking, lots of lust and sin has helped me come out of my shell
I am experiencing a hard mix between Heaven and Hell
Practicing Witch Craft one step away from a human sacrifice
I could feel the blood in my veins turn to ice
My life has been a twist and turn affair, never a straight line
If I were to ask you are you dark or do you shine
Nobody is holier than thou, so stop the fake front
Come clean with the bad things you have done
Do a gut check and you will be able to tell
How potent is your shot will be of Heaven and Hell
There is chess board in everyone\'s life and we are all pawns
Just which side is your bread buttered on
Do gooders, most are sinners behind closed doors
Money is the root of all evil, yet churches ask people to give more
A percentage of your income to make the preachers rich
They have no interest in you, yet you are one dollar away from sleeping in a ditch
Sinners openly display their intentions in life
Wife cheats on husband because husband cheats on wife
Go ahead and pray for forgiveness for all your daily sins, another trip to the well
Here, the bar is open, here's your hard mix of Heaven and Hell
Catholic Priests molesting alter boys, they will definitely face the heat
Is there forgiveness for them to reach their Heavenly retreat
Where do you fit in with the grand master scheme of things, no one can tell
Everyone will be able to place their order for their shot of Heaven and Hell

She Sees Butterfly Dreams

She closes her eyes
And dreams away
Off her man overseas
In a foreign country

She prays for his safety
And the flag that he serves
To do their job and come home
It's what they all deserve

She knows of the dangers
But her heart remains strong
Back in her arms
Where he will always belong

She hears on the radio
And she views on the news
Another patriot lost
Their country all solemn and blue

She lives day to day
For that moment to come
On Edwards runway he lands
For she knows she will run

She will sleep tight tonight
With her butterfly dreams
All loving and tender
For into his arms she will stream

Burden

They were some people who carry hugh weight on their shoulders.
Hand touching their eyes as they look up to the sky.
A discussion takes place near the fire in a crisis.
A hand of the clock is moving fast condemns the women.
Her husband looks at her don’t do this to me turn the clock back.
The women put’s her hand to cover her eyes and cries.
The look of disgust for all to see appeared from nowhere.
I am ready to go out I wonder what to wear.
They turn around after her disappearance as the husband stares.
Look at my shoulders can’t you see they are getting sore.
The women replies in a harsh way there are two people in a discovery.
She places all her bangles to one side this is the price to pay for our deeds.
The husband wraps them up and places in a safe they belong here for now.
He quickly places a paper on the table and writes as his wife watches.
This is my stamped name keep it safe it might disappear one day.
The women laughs at him can a piece of paper relieve the burden of faded hair.

The Keeper

I was washed ashore with Mountains looking over me and I could hear roaring Seas.
The sand covered me and my toes curled with sand dollars by the dozens.
I saw dolphins gaming and fish were everywhere, I even met their distant cousins.
The Sun was shining down on me and the Moon was jealous but the clouds gave way.

And I looked up to see the Stars shining and they told me it’s a most perfect day.
Salted lips and these palms fanned, I knew right then I was meant to be.
I stood alone at the shore and blue skies fled taking notice of little old me.
I was touched and moved balancing these visions I began to breathe.

I thought I was by myself, but I wasn’t, not this time.
Looking up I say leave me alone, be gone I’m on my own.
Looking down I am amazed at how truly this is so sublime.
You are the keeper of my secrets and I am of all the unknown.

Shining down upon me you are always standing right there,
Here I shall share myself with you and then I will begin to care.

Blood on Emeralds

The blood of Emeralds
In Northern Ireland's streets
Where sides detest
Victims they seek

Religious divide
Neighbours slain
For the life of me
What to gain

These troubled times
Historic sores
Deep rooted pasts
Now to the fore

IRA
UDA
Many guns came out to play
Both sides fell, as they murderously slay
During the week, even Sundays

The Belfast agreement of 1998
This Land of Emeralds, in peaceful state
Neighbours safe to talk again
Never allow the blood, on the Emeralds stain

" Dedicated to all Ireland - The Emerald Isle "

The Picnic

Loving couple hot summer's day
Head back home one Saturday

He pours cool drinks
She showers warm
They both head
To their loving dorm

They sip their drinks
Sitting on their bed
He slides her robe
As he kisses her head

Over her shoulder
Warm flesh revealed
This couples love
Will soon be sealed

They slide of the bed
Lays her on the floor
On her front
My love i adore

Her back massaged
Her cheeks kissed
Not one area
Has been missed

Arched and ready
He moves real close
His Mr of Men
His loving post

Picnic box, opens lid
Vanilla ice cream
On her back its slid
She arches up
As it slides down her spine
To the curve in her cheeks
To her end sublime

Her groans and cries
As he absorbs the cream
Her heaven moist
Eyes closed she dreams

Her body flavoured
For the Mr of Men
He takes his woman
In their lovers den

Penetration deep
Her body sighs
Sexual eruption
Loving cries
Her walls adorned
With loving spores
This loving couple
On their den floor

Juices flowing
Their recipe
The start of life
Salinity

On her back
Her legs a Vee
He ventures down
Bows on his knees

A pool of life
From sexual pleasure
He scoops to share
With his loving treasure

He slowly makes his way to her
Past her scented heaven fur
Torso reached
Breasts passed
He's finally reached his lass

With love filled eyes
Their lips meet
They share their prize
From their loving feat

Home, At Last

H
O
M Safe
E I

What took you so long to love me?

Under A Spell

As I sit and watch the evening star
I can feel the moon touches me, from a far
Wanting to taste my Smirnoff vodka, with lime
The worn mind suddenly rhyme
Tonight, it’s on the verge, of unearthing
A treasure, a priceless thing
Eagerness I felt as I saw my toy
Tirelessly blinking, for me, with joy
Waiting the speedy touch of my hand
While my old silvery quill-like pen
On a white papyrus, lies, inkless
On the bedside table, of narra wood, shameless
As I begin to peruse the Latin inscription
I heard the clock chimes, with repetition
Ding…dong…ding…dong …ding…dong
The sound is like from an ancient gong
I know it’s midnight, but when I turned to look
I noticed the blue-eyed princess, still, reading the book
Of Kama Sutra, left by an old transient
From the Pearl of the Orient
When my hand found the coded key
The rhyme’s gone and the mind’s no longer free
For I became, the prisoner, of my sultry princess
Under a spell, I gave her my oriental kisses

The Eviction of Mr. Ivy

With his thick, brown, hairy legs,
He had climbed the back of an old white barn.
As his knotted, broad chest pressed
Against the dry-rotted boards,
He stretched his arms toward the sun
Piercing through some nearby branches.
Entangling his long fingers in those limbs,
He rested his head on the black shingled roof
Until his head became green and bushy.
His body clave to the building when he saw me.
He clinched when I tried to grab him
And he did not want to come down.
So, I cut him off by his hairy feet
From among his crawling children,
And I pulled and pulled him by the legs.
Though he fought to stay and kicked to return,
I tore him away from that old white barn
And down he came with boards and branches.
I laid him on top of a pile of old ivy vines
And scraped his remains off the building.

Oceans Between Us

So long mistakes heart breaks these lonely times will take your place
We walk separated sands but through these times i understand One
Look one kiss only in dreams would love feel like this.

Your far away but my love grows anyway i wonder right now if you feel
The same way oceans between us but on this day here i say i love you
I've loved you for so long.

I need you because space and time wont last to long i close my eyes and i'm
With you never let you go...

Your far away but my love grows anyway i wonder right now if you feel
The same way oceans between us but on this day here i say i love you I've
Loved you for so long.

Can we carry on will you be okay on your own sometimes i cant wait to
Hear you breath on the telephone just to make sure tell me again what's
Our favorite song.

( Memories) of you and me a piece of me fade away..
When i think of you i cry on command and all this sadness makes
me a better man.

Your far away but my love grows anyway i wonder right now if you feel
The same way oceans between us but on this day here i say i love you
I've loved you for so long. I've missed you bright my way cure my lonely day
{Oceans between us}

God please believe me i'm dyeing with out her love don't deceive me
Because i cant live with out her. My heart is so numb your warm embrace
Will put a smile on my down and out face.

Your far away but my love for you grows anyway i wonder right now if you feel
The same way oceans between us but on this day here i say i love you
I've loved you for so long.

I can be this strong girl it wont be to long....

Observations in Starbucks

Standing in the
Starbucks line
I have ample time
to observe
the woman
beside me, her
lips and fingernails
painted bright red
like a billboard
she fancies herself
the main attraction
inadvertently
advertising her
desperate need
to be noticed

The tables dotted
with individuals
using their
computer screens
and newspapers
like barricades
they hide inside
fiercely protecting
themselves from
inconvenient
interaction

The boy
behind the counter
takes my order
his scarred hands
moving swiftly,
sinewy arms
decorated with
intricate tattoos

tall, decaf, nonfat
sugar-free
gingerbread latte,
he seems bored
disinterested, even
dismissing me as
chaste and sensible
just another suburban
soccer mom

The man behind me
talks on his cell phone,
like a guilty voyeur
I listen to his side
of the conversation;
in my head, inventing
some sordid scenario
to go along with his
clipped responses

My husband
waits for me
in the parking lot
like a beacon of hope
his truck, warm
idling eagerly
anticipating
my return.
