Bob had been a lonely man ever since
His wife of fifty years had passed.
“Lord, let me join her.” he would pray.
“Let this day be my last.”
Each day, he went to the cemetery,
Just a short walk down the street.
After their talk, he would water her flowers
And hear passers-by whisper, “How sweet.”
One gray and misty morning,
He had hoped for sunnier skies
To plant fall bloomers at her graveside;
But, there, to his surprise…
Stood an old dog beside her stone;
Thin and dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as Bob approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”
He sat calmly as Bob planted flowers,
Carefully sniffing each one Bob put in place.
Then, after the last one was planted,
He sniffed it; then turned and licked Bob’s face.
Bob smiled. “I had a dog when I was young…
Pal…he was a mighty good one too.
So, if you don’t mind old fella,
That’s what I’ll call you.”
Pal may have been an old dog,
But he was smart and handsome in his way;
So they made a deal, Bob would give him a meal
And a bath, if he decided to stay.
Pal loved his bath, then rolled in the grass.
He slept on a blanket in the den.
In the night, he dragged it next to Bob’s bed.
He intended to be Bob’s best friend.
Pal was such a good dog, housebroken too;
Never made a mess or got in trouble.
He knew about newspapers, slippers and Frisbees;
And when Bob called, he ‘d come on the double.
Yes, Pal gave Bob’s life new purpose.
A special bond of friendship was cast.
And never again did Bob pray,
“Lord, let this day be my last.”
For twelve years, the very best of friends,
Together night and day;
And so it was, until one night,
Pal quietly passed away.
Bob held Pal in his arms and wept.
“Oh, Pal…you’re the best friend in my life.”
Bob talked to Pal, caressed him until he fell asleep;
Then, sometime in the night, Bob finally joined his wife.
The next morning, an old woman,
Tears welling in her sad and lonely eyes,
Brought flowers to her husband’s grave;
But there, to her surprise….
Stood an old dog beside the stone,
Thin an dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as she approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”
He sat calmly as she took old flowers
And put fresh ones in their place.
He carefully sniffed the fresh ones,
Then turned and licked her face.
She smiled. “I had a dog when I was young...
a good one too. His name was Pal.”

Here I lie beside you
My heart goes thump.thump.thump.
My soul dances inside you
Reveling in the texture of your own.
Electric and flowing
The currents of our love
Glow like neon lights
Illuminating the hope in my eyes.
Though we're not moving
I feel so incredibly alive
Invincible to my past
Untouchable by all who lack
That gentle touch of when
You lean in and brush my face
Your lips grazing my skin
Softer than a butterfly.
And then you gaze into my eyes
I fall into your depths
Twirling like the autumn leaves
Melting into your smile
Your soul reminiscent of summer.
You pull me into your arms
And for a moment I'm lost
Breathless and in awe
Staring in the face of pure exquisite love
And there you are - holding it
Glowing in the moonlight of my stare.
My heart beats - its drum pounding away
Echoing a song thats lost its words
I touch your cheek and smile
My hands cant stay away
My lips s l o w l y, draw near yours
Hovering, and then -
Part, a soft warmth against them.
My eye lids pulling shut
Dragging me into a silent heaven
I pull away - and what seemed millennia
Lasted only a moment, a second in time
But this is our love
This is what you do to me
You make me invincible and fragile
Lost forever in a beautiful reverie.

A small poem “Thirsty Feeling about Nature and love” wrote by Mrs. Madhavi. Suyog. Pagare
“Thirsty Feeling about Nature and love”
Seating nearby valley side,
Astonished by seeing a nature's serene beauty.
Amidst Grassy hills,
zigzagically mounted on the stupefying homeland.
Pristine Water, Sliding from the highest peak,
Flowing in its own way,
Wondering about its challenging destiny.
Love the way you are.
I owe you for myself!!
Wind's whispered, Cheering in its ain way.
Chanting of music beats,
Recited with a soothing intonation.
Birds speaking eloquently..
Dazzling due to marvellous rainbow..
Love the way you are,
I owe you for myself!!
Amazing and enamoured environment aroused my emotions,
Feeling Shy to express.
Missing my dream person,my Mr.Adam.
Versatile persona where are you?
Come here and hug me.
Fuel me up with spirit.
Gift me a smile.
Until forever fades away, Endure me.
Love the way you are..
I owe you for myself!!
Finished dropping stones in water.
Gladly waiting for your arrival.
Testing patience is all enough now.
Wanted to feel the gist of love.
Desire to fulfil wish with pure heart and soul.
Auspicious moments provoking to capture
Love the way you are,
I owe you for myself

When it comes to love, I AM poisonous
don't let me curse another, leave me loveless
For the first time in my life, I felt your pain and cried for your heart
my heart finally hurts, knowing I passed this pain from the start
Please find help to set your heart free
trust me, it's not a life you recover from easily
Damaged goods I told you, repairable
but some how, you managed the impossible
Unlovable for my entire life
yet you had no problem, getting me to become your wife
Yes, it's been more than both of us should have ever had to bear
at this moment, every cell in my body is overwhelmed, so I really do care
Please don't enter my life's pain and despair
you don't deserve it, you are so patient and filled with such love
I'm sorry I let myself fall in love knowing it would poison you
soul mates forever and eternity, my love belongs only to you...

One day at a time
With the delusion of anger,
falling from my eyes,
The veil of bitterness,
Torn from the one I despised,
My heart withers in my chest
The spell that cast a shadow on this beauties shimmering frame
That hid a wonder a mystery this woman bearing my name.
I cannot believe I’ve lived alongside you for so long
And missed the chorus of a lover’s refrain.
We like strangers in the night
Ships passing by on a foggy sea,
Have rediscovered each other again,
Fearful yet wanting, the task ahead daunting,
Forever changed by the crimson stain,
Leaving us equipped in ways we can never explain.
One day at a time, we live for these moments,
One day at a time, is all we are given,
And by the grace of God our one day at a time will turn into memories
That we will share over a lifetime.

Six days she lay beneath the rubble of concrete and debris,
Pinned down with little hope of survival, just faith that God would send help to set her free.
Six days and five nights, in total darkness, her weak voice called out but no one came,
A billion thoughts ran through her mind, but every thought ended in Jesus’ name.
Her faithful husband stayed at the site,
Looking, digging and listening, each day and night.
And on that sixth day, after many tons of concrete were moved away,
He heard a voice so weak, I’m here, help me, I’m O.K!
Still trapped beneath much debris, an after shock now was feared,
Much steel rebar and concrete still had to be safely cleared.
But with time running out, and few power tools at hand, the outcome looked so very dim,
Then like out of the blue, a U.S. firefighter crew shows up, and now the outlook is not so
Three hours later they pulled her out,
And gave her back to the loving arms of her husband who never had doubt.
Call it luck or call it what you will, but to me it was a miracle this woman got free,
Six days without food or drink, trapped beneath tons of concrete, it was truly a miracle
for all to see.

You're my mate to my soul,
You're my line to my life.
How grateful I am,
To finally be your wife...
The sanctity of my core,
Could not ask for more,
Cuz' it's you that I adore,
So let's close the door.
Let's just forget Monday's blues,
And how my heart used to be so bruised,
But since I met you,
My life has been improved,
-I've never been so seduced.
Predictions of all that is to come,
For you are mine, and we are one.
We fell in love when we were so young,
Twenty years ago, look how far we've come.
Through out the last two decades,
From childhood and then classmates,
We've become perfect bedmates,
With maybe a few little headaches.
Your gentle brown eyes, chills up my spine,
For finally it is our time, let's fly,
Sometimes I lay and start to cry,
For I am yours, and you are mine.

Reminiscing about New Years eves of the past.
Lost in a reverie of what could have been and what came to pass.
Thinking about a New Year's Eve not so long ago,
never knowing that a simple twist of fate would change my life forever and time would move so fast.
Dancing in the Square with lifelong friends under a neon ball
My would be husband not a care in the world,
In the blink of an eye soon everything I knew would change and I would fall
deeper in a love I would never understand
All because he smiled at me and took my hand.
Loves lost would float away in silence and
I would be in an enduring love and
My girlhood eclipsed as I became his wife.
My present and future interwoven with his forever and a day long
My dreams unfurled and
my soul enmeshed, my heart filled with song
The struggles and triumphs United as one
Wrong becomes right and right becomes wrong.
I never would have guessed that fateful day what it felt like to love someone so much your heart can be torn
Their moods, their life, entwined, a shared life, a fated love at a moment can be reborn.
Imagine if I had taken a different path that night
Had instead made love, not war, and continued the insipid fight
I wouldn't know the love, devoted commitment I still strive to understand
Because my soul mate wouldn't have taken my hand.
