The Long-Suffering Wife

Believing that marriage was ordained of God;
that, like a seed, it needed constant nurturing,
she sowed her deep devotion with a hope
that stretched beyond an ordinary scope.
That hope scanned schisms that had left her desolate-
until it reached the heavens with her prayers.

Time and time again, her spouse complained or failed to do small things
essential to cementing the marriage bond.
With unusual restraint, she held her tongue, forgave. . . and listened.
If matrimony were the fire in a hearth, she supplied the kindling and the logs;
then lauded him for twigs that on occasion he tossed in.
Some nights she’d lay a weary head upon the chest
of the one she called her husband (when he was fast asleep and didn’t know).
In those moments, she felt the beat of that heart he never showed to her.

With humbleness she supplicated God
that she might find connection with her mate.
She wondered and she wondered why. . .if thoughts, invisible,
which were transmitted to the Lord, were able to be recieved by Him,
why could not her words, directly spoken to the one on earth she loved, be heard?

Daily on her knees, she telegraphed celestially with a faith most extraordinary. . .
and wisdom came. Her love would not be broken, and she grew.
The seed she’d planted took root too and grew until there came a time. . .
she laid a graying head upon the chest
of one that was her husband (not just in word only);
a someone who now watched HER as she drifted off to sleep.
With his heartbeat strong in her ear,
she heard him whisper softly, “I love you” as he kissed her cheek goodnight.

Paranoid love

Tell me that this fear is just paranoia in my mind,
we're not straining, we're not struggling,
we're not sinking, we're just fine.
I'm not perfect my dearest, but damn have I tried,
and I'll try harder but I know I'll have the same results every time.
Do you want me all the ways that I am?
With all the struggles and the tears and the clinging to your hand.
I fear your getting further and Im left on the shore to stand,
watching you in the distance with a bullet in my hand.
Tell me all this worry, its just clutter in my mind,
tell me not to worry that we're doing just fine.
Cause Im scared to run you off and I feel Im falling deep.
And Im so frightened of these thoughts that its getting hard to sleep.
All I know is that the heart wants what it desires,
because of you the match inside has turned into a fire.
And I feel the broken glass thats sticking from my skin,
Wondering if you'll remove the pain or push it back in.
My hearts frantic wondering if you feel the same,
pleading and begging for more than just a saying,
but to feel and to see that im not alone,
with being in this love thats overwhelming.
Once I told you that we didnt have a spark,
but you were lighting up and I was sitting in the dark.
And this fire, this blaze its wrapped in desire.
Im terrified to lose you, I think I might die or,
maybe disappear from all the pieces falling out,
im going crazy but when i open my mouth, nothing comes out,
and I cant explain to you why I just need to hold you close,
why every time you leave Im scared to let you go,
why these tears are building up behind my eyes,
all I know is that the heart wants what it desires
and it desires to be your wife.
So tell me in my panic, that your words are true,
tell my my dearest what I mean to you,
tell me that this paranoia is all within my mind
we're not struggling, we're not sinking tell me we're just fine

Pledge of love and loyalty

This pledge that l,Ntando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed l am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only lie
in word alone but in action as well.

For that reason in every season
I shall show steadfast commitment
to the implementation of this pledge
with a great deal of astuteness.
I therefore commit myself to be your
devoted and delivering husband for
all the years l shall live with you
on this earth.

I shall treat you with the love and care
you deserve as my wife.
Indeed l shall treat you with
the distinction and dignity
that is befitting of the queen of my heart.
That body, that bone, that breath
shall be my mine to treasure,
for sure;
a dearness to promote and protect
for dear life…and love!
I shall stand by and with you in all the
situations of our life.
If the situation demands that we sail,
sail we shall together.
If the situation demands that we
climb,
climb we shall together.

I know very well what l am getting into:
I am getting into a marriage that is
overflowing with blessings.
This marriage- with our mutual
commitment-
will stand the test of time.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
brims over with a transforming power
of love.

This marriage-with our
mutual commitment –
will transform naivety into maturity
troubles into challenges
pretence into practice
pride into progress
bachelorship into companionship.
I pledge to be your steward and partner
for all times.

I shall value the consultations
and decisions that we make as
husband and wife.
As head of the family I shall do nothing

to derail our love train for anything else
least of all for personal and selfish reasons.
Now and forever

I am your lawful and loving husband…
This pledge that l, Nothando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed I am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only
lie in pronouncements but in practice
as well.

For this reason every season
I shall demonstrate untiring love
and loyalty to you;
a love and a loyalty that is a living
embodiment of our marriage vows.
I therefore commit myself to be your
honouring, supportive and loving wife
for all the years l shall live with you.
I shall treat you with the love and care
that you deserve as my husband.
Indeed I shall treat you with
the dignity and nobility that is befitting
of the king of my heart.
On my mind it is always fresh
that I am the flesh of your flesh.
Green or grown

I am the bone of your bone.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
elevates me into a kingdom of wifehood.
I shall endevour to put my family first
with all the rights, obligations
and privileges that come with wifehood.
I shall endevour to wipe off and ward off
loneliness and lostness from our relationship,
seeking nothing but your companionship;
banking on your stewardship,
sinking together any hardship.
Since you are mine
I shall not do anything else to undermine
our relationship for personal
or egotistical
reasons.
Now and forever
I am your lawful and loving wife…

Remind Me

Remind me when I forget, of all the things you have done for me.
Living and loving so carefree. Remind me when I get upset, you would
hold my body so tenderly, settting my heart and soul free.
Remind me that a love like yours will never be.

Remind me of all the great times we shared, you giving me all the love I
need, and we both helping each other to succeed. Remind me of all the good
in you, so I will know your love is true, then I will know what to do, and that is
to keep on loving you.

How Can We Hurt The Ones We Love

How Can We Hurt The Ones We Love?

How can we hurt the very ones that we love?
How can we easily neglect our God above?

It seems like I often heard about many victims
Many times, it’s from a loved one who’s been with them!

The hate and the anger that boils from deep within.
Often “boils over” toward our family and friends.

It’s the love of Christ that we need to find!
His love can totally cleanse our life and mind!

The hearts of many families are bruised and broken.
By the harshness of many of the words spoken.

If we would allow Jesus to rule and reign.
We’d have little reason to murmur or complain.

If we would yield our lives to the master’s will…
The emptiness and brokenness, he shall fulfill!

If we could allow ourselves to sit at Jesus’ feet…
He can make any family totally complete!

If we could just listen to what Christ has to say.
His words of life would brighten our day!

As a family… Won’t you give HIM a chance?
And allow his love to change your circumstance!

Won’t you allow his spirit to bind you together?
You can experience his peace today and forever!

He can change your family throughout!
This is his will and what God is all about!

' Trust, Is A Bridge ... '

Trust, Was A Bridge, Between Us
Now, Blown To Bits and Dust !
Scattered Upon Waters of Fear
Too Far Down, To Bring Near

Trust, Was The Bridge, Between Us
Tottering and Unsafe, Due To Rust
Its Base, Was Sinking and Cracked
Cables Snapped, No Getting Back !

Trust, Was A Bridge, Between Us
Used To Stand-Up To Raging Gusts !
We Could Cross Over To Either Side
Hold Onto The Girders … And Stride

Trust, Was The Bridge, Between Us
Repairing It Now … Is A Bust !
So, Can This RelationShip, Sail To Both Shoals
Build A New Bridge, With A Higher Toll ?

… Trust … Is A Bridge, Between Us
Guard It Well … This Time, Is A Must …

Forgiveness

Forgiveness
       by Amy Swanson 12/2008

I know that I'm not perfect
make mistakes from time to time
but the largest err I've made was
      not forgiving you this time.

You're the one that always
makes a smile out of my frown
Emotions, though, got in the way;
I fear I've let you down.

I hid my heart so selfishly
       and distant, from your view
I could not bear to hurt again
and so, stayed mad at you

I let myself forget the good
        and happy things we were
instead I've been so negative,
        our memories a blur.

I thought no longer you recalled
        the pleasance of our youth,
had traded years of loyalty
        with new and bitter truth,

But yesterday you smiled at me -
        I saw within your eyes
A spark that was meant just for me,
        there would be no goodbyes

And then we laughed, you held my hand
and gave my lips your kiss.
We talked about so many things,
         a long-due reminisce

I felt I'd found you once again
          my hero, my best friend;
Whatever this world throws at us,
          together, we'll transcend.

The life we share means more to me
           Than old misunderstandings
I won't subject our love, our trust,
            to childish meanderings.

Once you broke my heart,
         But also I've hurt you...
So please, forgive my foolishness;
         And I'll forgive yours too.

If I Forget

If I forget,
Remind me of your name
As it must have slipped away.

If I forget,
Show me a photo of my face
As it surely has changed.

If I forget,
Take my hand back to that place
For I've certainly lost my way.

If I forget,
Breathe a gentle breath in my ear
If will calm my fear and rekindle the flame.

If I forget,
Bring the heart straps
That held me to you like glue.

And if I forget,
Carry the memory of us
It is lost but a treasure on a raft on the waves...

We Have Never Been in Love With Each Other At the Same Time

You were in love with me
While I'd tell you I didn't love you,
And you continued on for a space...
Until I finally fell in love with you.
But you fell out with me
And kept telling me to my face.
Then my promised love got exhausted
While you were replenished;
Yet, you say it wasn't from my endeavors.
And now you're back in love with me.
But since... I've fallen out with you;
You franticly pull all my handles and levers.
Pushing all my buttons you realize
That we have never been in love
With each other at the exact same time,
And we know it's a crying shame
How quickly we always fall out
Exchanging rich love to nickel and dime.

This Aint Real

Your face,
Made a fake smile, (you said)
I love you,
I need you,
I want you just for a while,
You told me,
That I made you smile,
All the things you said to me,
Are just words now,
How can we love,
When you love me for yourself,
(This Aint Love)

Chorus: 2x
What are we doin,
If this love ain't real,
What is this feeling,
That I feel,

I'm broken in emotion,
I'm broken in love, (you said)
I need you,
I want you
You're the only one,
I'm thinkin of, (so tell me)
How can we love,
When there's always someone else,
(This Aint Love)

Chorus 2x
Bridge:
How can we love,
When there's always someone else,
How can we make up,
When you only love me for yourself,

verse #3:
You got me imprisoned,
Inside your heart,
When kissed
I felt, Like we,
Would never be apart,
chorus 2x

Did The Lord Build Your House

Did The Lord Build Your House? This house of ours is “plain.” But is still standing. We’re “simple folks...” By many people’s understanding… We may not have much of what is “socially appealing”… But we have love in our hearts. And this is a good feeling! We may not be “wrapped up” in much of this world’s entertainment. But we seek God’s peace and a desire for contentment. We, as a family, have one purpose and “calling” in mind. To seek God’s ways of being merciful and kind… Each day we pray with much thankfulness in our hearts… For this is where happiness and gratitude starts! We’re thankful to the Lord for his unfailing grace… And for keeping us together in this special place… We’re blessed to have a God who is truly worth finding. His word in our lives is precious and worth memorizing! “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it!” God must rule and reign… So his love can completely fill it! A Story My Mother Told Me

someone always told me this with tears in her eyes...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

a wife left South Africa in the 1960’s to join her husband
who was in exile at the time...

in 1970 the husband was sent by the African National Congress to India to be its representative there...

the husband and wife spent two years in Bombay...

one afternoon the husband fell and broke his leg...

the wife knocked on their neighbour’s door, in an apartment complex in Bombay

the neighbour was an old Punjabi lady...

the wife asked the neighbour for a doctor to see to the injured husband...

a Parsi ‘Bone-Setter’ was promptly summoned...

the husband still recalls his anxiety of seeing ‘Bone-Setter’ written on the Parsi gentleman’s bag...

by the way, the ‘Bone-Setter’ worked his ancient craft and surprisingly for the husband, his broken leg healed quite soon...

but still on that day, while the ‘Bone-Setter’ was seeing to the husband...

the wife and the old Punjabi lady from next door got to talking about this and that and where these new Indian-looking wife and husband were from as their accents were clearly not local...

the wife told the elderly Punjabi lady that the husband worked for the African National Congress of South Africa and had left to serve the ANC from exile...

and that they had left their two children behind in South Africa and that they were now essentially political refugees...

the Punjabi lady broke down and wept uncontrollably...

she told the foreign woman that she too had had to leave her home in Lahore in 1947 and flee to India with only the clothes on her back when the partition of the subcontinent took place and Pakistan was formed and at a time when Hindus from Pakistan fled to India and vice versa...

the Punjabi lady then asked the foreign woman her name...

‘Zubeida’, but you can call me ‘Zubie’...

the Punjabi woman hugged Zubie some more, and the two women, seperated by age and geography, wept, sharing a shared pain...

the Punjabi woman told Zubie that she was her ‘sister’ from that day on, and that she felt that pain of exile and forced migration and what being a refugee felt like...

Zubie and her husband Mosie became the closest of friends with the Hindu Punjabi neighbours who were kicked out of Pakistan by Muslims...

then came the time for Mosie and Zubie to leave for Delhi where the African National Congress office was based...

the elderly Punjabi lady and Mosie and Zubie said their goodbyes...

a year or two later, the elderly Punjabi lady’s daughter Lata married Ravi Sethi and the couple moved to Delhi...

the elderly Punjabi lady called Zubie and told her that her daughter was coming to Delhi to live and that she had told Lata, her daughter that she had a ‘sister’ in Delhi...

Lata and Ravi Sethi then moved to Delhi...

This was in the mid-1970’s...

Lata and Zubie became the closest of friends and that bond stayed true, and stays true till today, though Zubie is no more, and the elderly Punjabi lady is no more...

the son and the husband still have a bond with Lata and Ravi Sethi...

a bond that was forged between Hindu and Muslim and between two continents across the barriers of creed and time...

a bond strong and resilient, forged by the pain and trauma of a shared experience...

and that is why, and I shall never stop believing this, that hope shines still, for with all the talk of this and of that, and of that and of this, there will always be a simple woman, somewhere, anywhere, who would take the ‘other’ in as a sister, a fellow human...

and that is why there will always be hope...
hope in the midst of this and of that and of that and of this...

hope...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

Her Sense of Humor

A slight hint of consternation was in her voice,
“Why did you tell those people I’m deaf and dumb?”
“I never said you were deaf, my Dear.”
She laughed, but I kinda felt like a bum.

Hell. It was just a joke.

One evening, she asked, “Will you love me if I get chubby?”
I responded, “Of course I still love you.
It would take much more than pounds and cellulite
To make me fall out of love…it’s true.”

Hell. It was just a joke.

“Would you remarry if I die before you?” she asked.
I said, “No…probably not…I’ve been spoiled by you.”
“But you’ve been a great husband. I think you should.”
“Whatever happens, happens is the best I can do.”

“If you remarried, would you play golf with your new wife?
And would you let her use my clubs?” she demanded.
I calmly smiled and said, “Your clubs are safe.
You see, my Dear…she’s left handed.”

Hell. It was just a joke.

Then, she whined and whined about her butt.
I responded, “Want to knock some inches off that ass?
It may sound strange, but I heard it works….
Rinse all your panties in Slim Fast.”

Hell. It was just a joke.

The next day, I readied for work, took ‘undies’ from my drawer.
They were engulfed in a fog of white, why I didn’t know.
So, I asked, “Honey! Why did you put talcum powder on my shorts?”
She slyly smiled, “That’s not talcum powder. That’s Miracle Gro.”

Hell. It was just a joke....I guess.

So, what is my wife’s most endearing feature?
Her sense of humor.... there’s no doubt.
Always a smile where angst or anger might have been,
A smile I never want to be without.

The Women

The Women

(for the countless women, names unknown, who bore the brunt of Apartheid, and who fought the racist system at great cost to themselves and their families, and for my mother, Zubeida Moolla)

Pregnant, your husband on the run,
your daughter, a child, a few years old,

they hauled you in, these brutish men,
into the bowels of Apartheid's racist hell.

They wanted information, you gave them nothing,
these savage men, who skin happened to be lighter,

and white was right in South Africa back then,

but, you did not cower, you stood resolute,

you, my mother, faced them down, their power,
their 'racial superiority', their taunts, their threats.

You, my mother, would not, could not break,

You stood firm, you stood tall.

You, like the countless mothers did not break, did not fall.

You told me many things, of the pains, the struggles,

the scraping for scraps, the desolation of separation
from your beloved Tasneem and your beloved Azad,

my elder sister and brother, whom I could not grow
up with, your beloved children separated by time, by place,

by monstrous Apartheid, by brutish men,
whose skin just happened to be lighter.

You told me many things, as I grew older,
of the years in exile, of the winters that grew ever colder.

You were a fighter, for a just cause,
like countless other South African women,

you sacrificed much, you suffered the pangs,
of memories that cut into your bone, your marrow,

you resisted a system, an ideology, brutal and callous and narrow.

Yes, you lived to see freedom arrive, yet you suffered still,
a family torn apart, and struggling to rebuild a life,

all the while, nursing a void, that nothing could ever fill.

I salute you, mother, as I salute the nameless mothers,

the countless sisters, daughters, women of this land,
who fought, sacrificing it all for taking a moral stand.

I salute you, my mother, and though you have passed,
your body interred in your beloved South African soil,

you shall remain, within me, an ever-present reminder,

of the cost of freedom, the struggles, the hunger, the toil.

I salute you!

(for the brave women of South Africa, of all colours,
who fought against racial discrimination and Apartheid)

Color Dance

Blood runs red in every race
War bring tears to every creed
Hunger felt by every being
Love desired by every heart

Green envy or generosity
Vengeful snares and forgiving
Nightmares give desires to dream
Dancing twixt joy & despair

A Very Inviting Temptation

A Very Inviting Temptation! I remember of a particular situation. I was offered a very "inviting" temptation. The situation I was in... I didn't belong! And lost any sense of "right and wrong." At first... I felt no guilt or shame. And brought embarrassment to my family's name. I tried to explain this to my wife and kids. I heard; "Dad... please... no more fibs!" The Godly principles were "tossed to the side," As the sin inside caused arrogance and pride. Soon, all in my life that truly mattered... Was gone! My life was empty and shattered! I was sorry for all of the problems I caused! This time... I took a moment to pause. I cried to God to rescue me from my sin. I confessed! Would God help me once again? I read in the Bible of Jesus’ grace and love! This time the help I needed had to come from above! I asked him for a fresh and brand new start. He removed the stain from a broken heart. He restored to me the joy I once had. I'm so blessed! Jesus has made me glad! Jesus is the reason I'm here today! I LOVE HIM more than words can say! By Jim Pemberton

Witnesses To Sinners

I can't hear the words as they come from my mouth
I can't hear the screams as they work their way out
As I write all is seen is a blur and blank moment and
Once recovered sensed the words were written, not
Even a look to see what was written only to know it
Was there.Sleepless night, taunt filled faces horde my
Dreams.Have this made me fall so low no longer am I
Am I able to stand on my own to feet. How many times
Will you make me cry before claiming only to being a
Witness in a crime, your crime. Putting on that face
Working the crowds with amazing easily, how I hate you
Yes all the thing I think about revolve around you.
How many times have I witness myself wound my self
With your blade? As though under a spell doing as order
Without a cry to the world what made me so diligent ?
But no longer can you be a witness,No longer can I be
A witness to these crimes that been committed.Be us both
Sinners be us both lovers be that we both be cursed
We shall witness our sins become whole and the love in
Which we share spread further and further like the flames
Of hades. May there be peace for sinners in the next world.
We are both witnesses and at the same time
We are both sinners one day to become consumed by our
Own darkness how far will we fall until that moment comes?
May we be good may we be bad may we fall may we live may
May we die or carry on we are the Witnesses We are the Sinners
To this world and the next.

Healing Can Only Happen When the Pain Is Gone

Healing Can Only happen,
 When the Pain is Gone!

Healing can only happen, when the pain
 and damage are gone!
It can only come about, when there’s
 no “lists” of wrongs!

People need to move ahead, and put all
 of the past behind them!
And seek God’s forgiveness,
so his grace can find ‘em!

Too many carry a load of sorrow
and grief that they can’t afford!
They need to bring everything to Jesus,
 and make him their LORD!

How can we experience healing,
if the suffering is still there?
How will we ever be able to love others,
 and truly care?

May we all seek the kind of healing,
 that only Christ can bring!
May we allow him to remove
 all pain and suffering!

Jesus… We need your healing now! More than ever before!
It is your love that we must learn
 to treasure and adore!

Please come now and refresh us with your awesome love!
The sweetness of your Holy Spirit, is a gift from above!

Thank you God! The pain is gone and the healing has come!
All praise, glory and honor to Jesus!
 God’s anointed son!

There's A Web of Temptation And Sin

There’s a Web of Temptation and Sin!

There’s a web of temptation and a lot of sin…
That brings slavery and a strong bondage within!

Throughout this land, there’s an evil surge!
While many lives, seem to be getting “submerged!”

Being submerged, into a life, that many believe in.
They become perverted, but want all to receive them!

The “love and acceptance,”
 that many desire.
Puts them on a tightrope! A very thin wire!

As the web of temptation and sin begin to grow.
It brings a bondage that damages the soul!

They may want to have “love and acceptance.”
But in their hearts, needs to be a godly repentance!

May the holiness of a righteous God be stirred!
That all will come back, to the truth of his word!

His son Jesus, came to the cross! He bled and died!
That through him, our lives can be totally sanctified!

Only the power of God, can bring a needed restoration!
He gives to one and all…
 A heavenly invitation!

Whosoever will… Come now! And accept him!
Won’t you take the time, to really know him?

Don’t allow the web of life to destroy
and overcome you!
Come to Jesus now! He really does
 LOVE YOU!

No Job Can't Pay the Bills TRY JESUS

Here I sit, uncertain of what lies ahead.
I’m still wondering how my family will be fed.

I once had a job that provided a sense of “security.”
Now I don’t… And I have a lot of uncertainty!

I have unpaid bills, and I’m not sure what to do.
I’ve asked for help. But not sure who to turn to!

I get discouraged, and feel life “pulling me down.”
I’ve tried just about every job that’s in town.

The dreams I had, have been shattered and smashed.
At times, I feel like I’m just “a piece of trash.”

My wife tried to support me, the best that she can.
But she doesn’t know me… Or even understands!

Dear Jesus… You’re the only left that I haven’t tried.
There’s been many nights I laid awake and cried!

I read in the Bible, where your love for me is real!
When I call on your name... There’s a love I can feel!

Whatever happens, please help me Lord, to trust you!
Whatever tomorrow holds, may I still love you!

I know that you’re a foundation, that I can stand on!
Jesus is a friend! That I can always depend on!

Jesus, if I lose everything that I have or that I hold on to...
My I always remember your faithfulness
 and never forget you!

Here I stand… With my burdens lifted from me!
It’s because of Jesus! And how much he loves me!

I praise HIS name! And lift my hands to the sky!
He’s in control now! I don’t have to ask the reason why!

Jesus… Please take control of my worries and desires!
Above all of my problems, I lift your name up higher!

Bless it be Thee!

May 27, 2010

Bless it be Thee!

Bless it be Thee!
Truly, I love you.
My whole my new.
My heart your key!

Loose lips and free.
Realistically, I knew!
You are far and few.
I can justly let it be.

You know, it is Gemini’s Full Moon tonight,
The Universe is waking up figuring us all out.
Point me out as a random beam of Moonlight,
I am engulfing and enriching charts in route.

Swiftly suited, I stand in my place!
Bless it be it to Thee! A closed case!

Missed it-One day at a time

One day at a time
With the delusion of anger,
falling from my eyes,
The veil of bitterness,
Torn from the one I despised,
My heart withers in my chest
The spell that cast a shadow on this beauties shimmering frame
That hid a wonder a mystery this woman bearing my name.
I cannot believe I’ve lived alongside you for so long
And missed the chorus of a lover’s refrain.
We like strangers in the night
Ships passing by on a foggy sea,
Have rediscovered each other again,
Fearful yet wanting, the task ahead daunting,
Forever changed by the crimson stain,
Leaving us equipped in ways we can never explain.
One day at a time, we live for these moments,
One day at a time, is all we are given,
And by the grace of God our one day at a time will turn into memories
That we will share over a lifetime.

What I Look For In A Home

I’m sure that home to many has a different meaning. It depends what kind of life they’ve been receiving. There are those with memories of hurt and pain. Some may not want to mention their families name. Others have childhood memories they are fond of. They may have a family that they’re proud of! I think that in many cases, home is not what people see. It has a lot of importance. Both to you and me! What home means to me is to have our family together. And ask the Lord to bless it, with his love forever! God gave me a wife and children to take care of. May I not do things that I’d be ashamed of! I invite YOU Jesus, to be the head of our home! May we come together as a family, around your throne! May our family serve one another as we should. May the truths of God’s word be applied and understood! May the Lord help us to get along, with our imperfections. May God’s word be our “road map,” for needed direction! There’s no perfect home. Believe me! I know it! When it comes to family time… We all need to show it! Unless the lord builds the home… They labor in vain that build it! Let’s seek God’s blessing! So his love can completely fill it! Please come Jesus! And fill our home today! May our home be honored by what we do and say! By Jim Pemberton

FORGIVENESS

If a married man or a woman committed adultery,
In the eyes of many people they are absolutely guilty,
Especially if both party did the same thing,
They will condemned for their immoral doing.

For secret affairs revealed everyday,
Painful heart crying in deep misery,
Asking questions why they did it anyway,
And family will be broken and divided, really.

We’re all human and nobody’s perfect in this big world,
We committed mistakes and we try to control it, if we could,
I know we are all aware of the decisions that we make in life,
Adultery is a sin but, who are we not to forgive our husbands and wives?

Just give them a chance to prove that they really changed,
To ask forgiveness to their love ones and plan to begin,
a new life for the sake of the people we cared for,
To bring back the pieces of the sins they've done before.

DAMAGED MY TRUE LOVE

written 17th Sept 2013

When it comes to love, I AM poisonous
don't let me curse another, leave me loveless

For the first time in my life, I felt your pain and cried for your heart
my heart finally hurts, knowing I passed this pain from the start

Please find help to set your heart free
trust me, it's not a life you recover from easily

Damaged goods I told you, unrepairable
but some how, you managed the impossible

Unlovable for my entire life
yet you had no problem, getting me to become your wife

Yes, it's been more than both of us should have ever had to bear
at this moment, every cell in my body is overwhelmed, so I really do care

Please don't enter my life's pain and despair
you don't deserve it, you are so patient and filled with such love

I'm sorry I let myself fall in love knowing it would poison you
soul mates forever and eternity, my love belongs only to you...

If Only

If I could spend my whole life with you,
It will only be a dream, because no such thing is true.
If no one open's their heart all the way through.
How can I ever really give my heart to you?
If I did you wouldn't have felt the pain you do.
Therefor no need to say sorry,
we just say it, because we know it's not true.
We say it just to get you through,
to have, to behold, the pain I gave you!
If you should ever feel like this is your last breath,
to love, is to lay to rest.
It can feel worse than any death.
A women romancer is truly the best!
I've sacrifice nothing making you feel like you do,
but you have to learn to give credit, to where credit is due!
Stimulating of the heart, Is to know where to start.
         My devotion is to myself,
I have to love me, before loving any one else
I'm done with the burden of pain, to have me, it's to what you'll gain.
To walk beside me, to never deny me. To love me, is to live as one.
For you can now, feel just where I come from.
To pave a new way, to this unacquainted highway.
Intimacy is thee only thing I could offer to you.
For you could only be mine, no other friend will do.
To have you all to myself, is to deprive,
from liberty, to imprison, to confine to me. To surrender your heart,
thorough thick and, thin. To never let any other lover in,
to whom I'm your only friend, from the start till thee very end.
To vow to never give away your heart, if we do break apart.
If I shall ever feel the love you do for me, I promise to love you for eternity!
To never have to say I'm sorry, for the love I'll feel for you.
For I could never put you through!
To have a good women by your side, is to tell the truth, even if it make's me cry.
That's what it will take for you can be a real man.
To stand tall, to walk with pride, for a real man shouldn't have to lie.
If it should ever feel like it's way to hard, and we took this new found love way to far...
           Reminiscence of that day,
that I began to play thee O' Jays, when I used to be your girl,
till you opened my eyes to this cruel world.
I would like to start all over again, can you change my mind, to just go back in time.
For to truly love someone, is to let them free.
To find each other again, it was truly meant to be!
To say this is true love, shall ever be a mystery.
For there's no paradise, in this so called world we call life.
Until thee very day you make me your wife!

A Woman Created By Law and Men

The twelve were coming in …,
twelve like gods, with sealed fates.
Mortals with keys to death and dungeons of hell,
where devils walked in numbers, and are owned;
they are someone’s belongings. I could not see me.
That place is it where there is blood without formed elements …
or nutrients. Colors became significant (blue and red).
We know of the black and white barriers;
the ones we pretend do not breathe in Washington.
Brothers and a nation are built behind steel bars.

The thought of that woman,
the woman that stands bold
with torch beckoning to come and taste the dream,
is like a haunted house, and I, a little child of three.
How she defends self-government
while she’s trapped at sea. Freedom is a long way …
Liberty is far-flung,
but I must not lose what is left of free will.
When the verdicts are festooned,
they ought to downgrade the others;
there should be no rivalry.
Without such it is simple to mislead the bulk.

I am my better half;
I come clean without boasting on my tongue.
I often wondered if Hilary plagues …
because she believes she has a better hand,
or is there absolute amnesty.
This thought I contemplate to summon sleep
 instead of counting sheep.
The guy who swings the three iron, I often think of his wife;
how her shoes were on to run. Was it hurt are shame?
Love is far too shallow to be called love.

I shall kill her,
and set her in the depth,
where she will be eaten by her conscience;
sometimes I questioned if there’s one.
Maybe one is near, but suppressed.
I must kill her
with this ball-point that poured out the contents
of a lamenting soul; she must go before she is far gone.
Is the law a crooked device,
a mean provided for some to get even?
Who suffers when she cried wolf?
Hell is the amount of her condescension.
She has to die, to live anew,
and to allow the halves to live.

I Did Something That You won't Let Me Forget

I Did Something That You Won’t Let Me Forget! I did something recently, that I regret. What it was. You won’t let me forget! I said; “I’m sorry.” And tried to explain it! But what I’ve done, you continue to name it. You called me your friend, and offered assistance... But any attempts to talk, you offer resistance. I heard you before. You quoted Bible verses. Now you speak complaints and curses! It seems like whatever I do or what I say. You just wish, “I would go away!” Where is God’s love, you once gave me? Are you the kind of person, God wants you to be? I’m sorry of what I said and what I did. I hope you find the power to forgive! I’ve done my part. And that’s all I can do. Now is your turn! The rest is up to YOU! You can love me, or simply push me aside! You can humble yourself, or be filled with pride! The choices and decisions you make... Please do it now! Before it’s too late! I pray that God’s love, will touch your soul! Walk in his forgiveness! And BE MADE WHOLE! By Jim Pemberton

Parents Need To Be In Church With Their Children

Parents Need To Be In Church With Their Children… Many parents bring their kids to church… Hoping they’ll be a “better person.” They want them to hear about God. And listen to the “Sunday lesson.” They often tell the children to listen and obey God’s ways. But you’ll never see the parents at church on Sundays! They’re “too busy” to spend time with God... Even at home. Then tell their children they love them. And often leave them alone. They parents don’t want to take the time to give them their attention. They want the Sunday school teacher to give them a “moral direction.” Parents need to be the man and woman God wants them to be! They need to have Christian principles that their children can see! Won’t you be there for your children and help them to understand… What it means to be a Christian. And to be a Godly woman or man! It’s Christ’ desire that you as parents be a Godly example! There’s just too many temptations for your kids to handle! Living for God. As a family. Is the best thing you can do! Christ stands at your heart’s door… The rest is up to YOU! The Ugliness Of Divorce

My parents taught me the Christian ways.
I was taught to obey what the Bible says.

I was proud of my parents! I really was!
And loved them so much… Just because!

They meant everything to me! I was proud!
Until one day... There appeared “a dark cloud.”

It was like a “darkness” hovered above.
Leaving their marriage empty of needed love!

Though they were together many years.
There were many cracks that soon appeared.

I say a once happy home soon destroyed.
Being with one another…. They no longer enjoyed!

How could this happen! I had wondered…
To see a happy marriage “totally plundered

As sin crept in... And allowed to prevail.
Very soon this marriage simply failed.

May this be a warning for me and you…
That our commitment remains faithful and true!

If your marriage is heading toward separation…
Please seek God for a healing and restoration!

If your planning to have a divorce..
Jesus’ love can put it on the right course!

He can replace the brokenness and hurt within..
And can put your lives back together AGAIN!

I Know of An Old Fashioned Family

There’s a family I know, that may seem old fashioned.
But they serve others from a heart of compassion!

They don’t have much in the scope
 of entertainment.
But they have each other,
 and much contentment.

They have a love for God that comes from within!
And are thankful to the Lord
 for being their friend!

They don’t get too involved with that the world brings.
They have each others love.
They have everything!

This family has been an inspiration to others too!
By their giving hearts, in much of what they do!

This family has a commitment to serve God above.
And have asked Jesus to fill them with his love!

This may seem old fashioned,
not to have a lot of things…
But they know their Lord
and the love that he brings!

I’m thankful to know them and their Godly inspiration…
I extend to them a heart of thanks and appreciation!

Please dear Lord, bless and keep them in your arms!
Be with them Jesus, and protect them from harm!

May the blessings of God keep
flowing through them!
And may the peace and joy of God continue to be with them!

You Are The Girl Who Touched My Heart

I remember the day I thought I'd
never fall in love.
You are the girl that fell from above,
The day I thougnt my heart was
gone,
You showed me I wasn't alone,
I dont know what came over me,
I don't know how this could be,
I cant explain what you did to me,
I just hope you love me,
Like a light shining in the dark,
You are the girl who touched my
heart,
In a blink of an eye,
You fell from the sky,
You are God's surprise,
Because of the way you are,
You shine like a star,
And your eyes glance so light,
Bright as an angel,
My twisted heart untangled,
I was blessed from the start,
You are the girl who touched my
heart.

Tea Time

Love in your bones, perfection, divine, a wandering heart pure is thine?
A moment in time, immaculate, sensual, alive, we align.
A mass of vibrating energy combines.
Lost here, safe there, warm dear?
Our love melts crippling fear.
There is no divide. No moon owns this colorful tide.
So now we jump!
Inside my manic depressive ride.
Will I? can I? Abide? to society now, I have a bride?
Shirtless, shoeless, beard is long, happy am I.
Fear not, even King Kong.
Wife at home, smoking tea and high.
Jesus Christ! I sigh. sigh. sigh..
You pinned my soul, my thoughts and I.....
Dreamed to die.
My, my, my.
Your cold hard shell.
I loved you then and wished you well.
A living breathing tree did fell.
Is it cold in this, your damp black cell?
Silence.....
Now.
For this happy fat sow.
Expectations melted, I chose, I allow.
By camp fire I love. I warm, with stars above.
Tea in hand, lying back, to know someday I will love.
I toke on tea, enjoying my smoke. I love it here, so real.
Remote.
For me, for me, I toast, I joke, this bloke owns nothing.
Sorry. I lied. Frothing. I do own something this lovely green smoke.
You strive for things, material and plastic, a waste of energy, I think, a joke.
Funny you see? means nothing to me, like you I wrote.
Happiness is. So very near, its here, shockingly clear.
Your mind, your head, to freely choose.
Before your old and dead, dead, dead.

I'm Not the Kind of Dad That I Need to Be

I’m Not the Kind of Dad That I Need to Be! I remember reading the Bible to my son. But what a mess, my life has become! My children told me, they were proud of their dad! Now they say they’re embarrassed and sad. I once lived a Godly life! I really did! Just look at me now! And how I live! Things in life I once called wrong and sin. Are now causing me to stumble again. God's word I had loved! Jesus was my treasure! I "traded my soul" for what gives me "pleasure." I’m not the kind of father that I need to be! What kind of example will my family find in me? Will I grow stubborn to God as I age? Replacing his peace, for anger and rage? I need Jesus to bring peace to my troubled soul! I ask YOU Lord to make me clean and whole. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation. By your blood, make me a new creation. Words alone cannot truly express… This family God's given to me. I am so blessed! By Jim Pemberton

(To All Who Believe It Can Be Achieved)

Caucasoid, Mongoloid,and Negroid
Colour the conscience progression
of Man's ethical Truths...
The cultural aggressions of violence
and ignorance must end!
Extend your heart, hand and life
Towards the Precious Don of Honour...
Freely, keeping the sincere

all we are all one in the same under the skin, so why not give it a grand try... One Love and

Forever Rider

Bleached bones of a fallen beast, Casting a shadow that points To the east, A cowboy rides out With a noose round his neck, Travelling north on a Perilous trek. The noose is a reminder That his life is not his, Not that he needs it To tell him the truth, He's atoning for sins Committed by him And the noose is just there For some proof. His horse pointing northwards, His spurs jab its flanks, It jumps on a journey It knows not to where, He has been advised If he gets where he must That he must handle all things With great care. Long weeks follow days, He ne'er stops for food, He feels neither hunger, Nor thirst or fatigue, His Horse is the same, Feeling neither hunger or pain, Though they travel on league After league. He stops on the brow Of a mountainous peak, To gain the bearings He felt he had lost. His eyes sweep the plains He travels in vain, Without ever revealing The cost. His life had been shortened For the most part by death, He had suffered For what he had done, His actions alone Had been the sole cause Of the loss of his wife And his son. And so for his torment He had been given a task, That he knew he must Always repeat, There was no respite And no task to be done And his journey would be Never complete. And so he rides on O'er the endless red plain, Destined as ever to Be all alone, And maybe one day His skull will be seen By another as abandoned Bleached bone....

Fear Anger Love

Fear fear fear

Lessons from yesterday haunt -

demand from tomorrow looms.

No way to escape.

Today is saturated in anxiety.

Anger anger anger

Frustration over inequality.

Malicious throughts cross my mind.

Lashing out in bitter words

because I have no power over this.

Love love love

More than anything you are mine.

Through it all, good and challenging.

Now may be a struggle - yet -

no matter what we have each other.

Life

I do not long for yesterday no grief my soul can find
for everything is just in the end of our time
questions left unanswered can make you seek to find
but in the end it is our destiny that wins our mind

Life is a beautiful tragedy for goodness and glory are divine
how would we know how blessed we are if to hate we remain blind
it is only through those darkest days we truly learn to love our life
so as I lay my quill down finished with each dear line
I must instill in all love and honor will always remain firmly by your side

This is something I came to know in the last few weeks. Sometimes love has always been right beside you. It may be inside yourself. Grief makes us stronger and as they say time heals all wounds. One day you will wake happy and glad to love again. Stronger than before. It is not always easy to forgive those we love or love us, but take it from me it is worth it in the end. You will be so happy you did not break or turn to others. A new friend can not fix the problems in us only we can. When we see that we can be a friend and not just have them. I am proud to have been through hell and know I am finally free from my memories.

A Box of Hope and Dreams

I keep my dreams and aspirations,
stored away neatly in this box.
Tied off with a pretty pink ribbon,
secured tightly with key and lock.

And every time I feel like a failure,
I open it, so I can again feel alive.
Arms of dreams tightly surround me,
giving me strength I need to survive.

I’ve hidden this box in a secret place,
where I’m the only who can see.
A beautiful box of hopes and dreams,
finely sewn with love at the seams.

This box is opened quite frequently,
especially when we’re apart –
this rhetorical box of memories,
in perfect synch with each beat of my heart

Does Family Really Matter Anymore

A family had a wedding... The brother wasn’t invited.
The fact they didn’t want him,..
Was already decided!

When asked why his name had been “omitted.”
It was because of past wrongs he had committed.

The words spoken, one could hardly believe it!
Any kind of forgiveness?
 They didn’t receive it!

How many times are loved ones not
 invited to “family occasions.”
Often times, families listen to “outside persuasions.”

Someone does something,
that may not be liked.
Then they’re often told to “go take a hike!

No wonder why many families
battle one another!
They have failed to truly love each other!

As we continue to see families drift apart.
This often leads to a wounded
and broken heart!

Christ gave us his best!
When we were at our lowest!
A life of mercy and forgiveness…
He wants to show us!

If we can’t treat one another
 as Christ commands…
Then HIS way of family living….
We’ll never understand!

I Think of a Time When I Was Young

I can think of a time, when I was young.
I was growing up and having fun!
I remember how excited I was to have a t.v.
There were my brothers, my parents and me!
I remember at about the age of ten.
My dad thought going to the theater was a “sin.”
There were many things
that as young man…
I later began to see, and understand!
My parents shared God’s love the best they could!
And I read the Bible and was trying to be “good.”
I had my troubles… And problems bear...
But I had a family, and much prayer!
The truth of God’s word helped sustain me!
I knew how much he really loved me!
My parents, may seem like they were “old fashioned.”
They loved their kids! With a Godly compassion!
I’m thankful to be blessed with a Godly love!
My family was a treasure from heaven above!
I think about today, and how things go wrong.
Many families don’t seem to “get along!”
I pray for the blessing of God, to bind them together!
May we all serve him! Today, and forever!
His love must be the cord that binds!
His will must be the focus of our minds!
May the presence of God bind us as one!
Every mother, father, daughter and son!

Let's Not Forget

Let us never forget that God has surrounded us with the best. He gave us
life, and also has given us hope, as a matter of fact, God gave us more than
most. God love is oh so true! God is good to me and you. Never forget that
the World was made for us to enjoy and not destroy. We must all do our part
to spread God's love and keep peace in our hearts.

Help each other along the way and never forget to pray. Let's not forget that
God is the best and he want everyone to help spread his love, peace, and joy
around the world.

Reflections

At night I see your smiling face,
As if the chains of our love were unbroken.
Your look of utter devotion pervades my sensibilities.
I know it's true for many have said,
That you died loving me alone.
Yet you never fought hard enough to let us know.
I guess that secret has gone with you forever.

I cry frequently when I reflect on those irretrievable moments.
At times I feel imprisoned in a bubble that no one can penetrate
Memories however can never be erased.
I have constant flashbacks to those days so many years ago.
I see you in my mind's eye,
You enthralled at the sight of your firstborn.
And your words "that's my precious"
Seem to reverberate in my brain.
Are you now watching over me?
After all, we were once man and wife.

The Hardest Thing

Last night we had a quarrel
We went to bed so mad
Each had to get up early
The morning was quite sad
I never meant to say that
I know you didn’t, too
With hopes to reconcile
Just know that I love you

Yeah darling…
It couldn’t be more true

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

Each morning when we go to work
A piece of me, it goes with you
I cannot wait to get back home
To do those things we do

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

I hope tonight we’re civil
We listen and we learn
Together, we’ll get past this
Each others trust, we’ll earn
So, then we can retire
To the bedroom that we share
Lie within each others arms
And show how much we care

Yeah darling…
It couldn’t be more true

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

Each morning when we go to work
A piece of me, it goes with you
I cannot wait to get back home
To do those things we do

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

And when my work’s over
I will come back to you

If I die before I wake

As I die he will be with me,
I fell in love he had the key,
And always knelt on one knee.

My last thoughts are of him,
As the lights go dim,
Life circling on a rim.

All at once we are apart,
The taste is so tart,
It all hits me in the heart.

You are left to live,
My heart your captive,
There is nothing to forgive.

My cheeks blush so shy,
With a tear in my eye,
As I start to die.

Fear not for I am well,
As many up here can tell,
It is not quite hell.

As I look from above,
kissing the forehead of my love,
I wonder what he dreams of.

I look at him so fondly,
his lips curve so grandly,
as he sleeps so soundly.

I'm like a hummingbird fluttering over his bed,
I wish to be with him but I am dead,
My life over and has fled.

I fear for my love for he is kind,
Strong handsome and well lined,
But now I leave him way behind.

Finding love is like a quiz,
Never knowing what it is,
He needs love from a heart as strong as his.

Time will tell

He speaks with high tones
He loves me
Do I feel the warmth his heart bleeds for me
Now, only from the outside
I am now cold as it seems
My children feel the anguish in my heart
I pray I find the reason not to be alone
Can I have a chance to get back my inner dignity
Does it still exist
Dignity
Do you think we are capable of being one
Truly united
To give it all
All they say, will keep true love true
True love is a falling promise
A burning sensation
Confusion is sometimes mistaken for love
Break that promise that was made
Hit me between the eyes
To forgive is not to forget.

A Father's Sorrow

In the morning of the night
I looked to the light to find what was right
but all I found was left
being deft in the night.

I was not contrite with this inner fight
as I lied attempting to sleep but was slight.
The night’s fight was ripe with spite
as I was lost in the middle of my left and right.

Lines of site are veiled with obligatory inquiries
of yin or yang or black or white.

Should I disinvite the blight within to settle
the fight of left and right? Or make haste of left
even though it’s not right.

But the left was and is deft and is pulling the weight tonight.
The right is though, right…
but should I be left?

I have to be forthright as a knight by being right
but being left I am bereft in my plight.
Even now I write to find my right but can’t change the left.
Having left….could I ever be right?

i look away with shame
after every meal

Done For Good

Her look that day,
Should have told me everything she could not say.
Unprepared, I stared.
She walked away.
As she tossed our ring,
I felt the sting.

If I’d known then
How I feel today,
I'd heal the abscess and my heart’s decay,
Before her affection left me there that day.

Lovers Tiff

Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie
Your demands will be the death of me
I’ve done my best now let me rest
You’ve drained my body physically
You’ve worn me out I’ve had enough
I can’t keep on performing
Let's take a break, relax, unwind
Continue in the morning

Okay, come on, let’s do it
We’ve had our little tiff
I’ve had myself a rest, and
Now I’m getting rather stiff
So get up to the bedroom
We’ll continue with this caper
But you can do the pasting, and
I will hang the paper

Loyal Bride

Ignorance must be stitch inside
Because I've believed every word lied
The price of a loyal bride

On the outward I now hide
Pain crumbling my heart inside
The price of a loyal bride

Rumors spread, but I put them to mute
Saving your name while you covered it with soot
Until blindness wore off my then dimmed sight
And I was shockingly aware they were right

You whisper her name in your dreams at night
I wanna tell you I know, but I don't wanna fight
Afraid you'll leave the commitment we made
For someone whom's body you've layed

Though truth is no longer denied
I'll still hold to you while you backslide
The price of a loyal bride

And to my vows I will abide
No matter sleepless nights I've cried
The price of a loyal bride

A Precious Wife

A Precious Wife… Jesus has brought to me the gift of eternal life… And has greatly blessed me with a beautiful wife! Help me Lord to not be deceived by other things I see… May I continue to love the wife you gave to me! Help me not to be carried away with “suspicion.” But to give my wife all of my love and affection! In my wife, may I daily seek her inner beauty… And treat her like the finest diamond and ruby! Fireproof 'The Movie"

I watched a good movie today that brought tears to my eyes,
A young married couple were on the verge of divorce, but neither knew why.
He was a firefighter and brave as could be,
She worked in a hospital to help provide for family.

Somewhere something went terribly wrong,
They just fussed and fought and could not get along.
Both so in love when they first said I do,
But now they lived like strangers, neither knowing what to do.

Both of them thought their marriage was through,
But not his dad he knew what to do.
He gave him a challenge that would take forty days,
Each day something knew and done in various ways.

About half way through the challenge he realized what was wrong,
But she said it was to late, she wanted out all along.
The rest of the movie is when it gets good,
But I won’t spoil the ending, not even if I could.

I recommend this movie highly as one of the best that I’ve seen,
It’ll bring tears to your eyes, unless your heartless and mean.
I’d give it a ten for a low budget film,
You won’t find one better it’s really a gem.

My First Love

(My First love),
(The way I feel),
(Inside),
(How do I),
Begin,
The way I felt, Within,
I could never hide,
So I told you girl,
The way you, changed my world,
oh girl, The way you looked at me,
As though, I madeYour day,
(Girl I could forget),
The love We made,

Felt, so good,
To me,
How could this be,
A girl just like me,
Who knows, the things,
I need,
(How could this be)
(A girl just like me)
Chorus:
My First Love, (Love)x4

My first kiss,
I came across, a bliss,
How could I forget,
How it made me feel, girl

I'm still, in love,
With you,
In the back of my mind,
Everytime,
Chorus 4x

Yet, I Still Thrive

Does my face retrace the anger,
of a once distant love affair?
Do my curves exhaust a notion,
that at one time we kindly cared?
Yet, I still thrive.

Does my smile rile your insides,
and shadow a subtle act?
Do my hips which sway in elegance,
bestow this monstrous attack?
Yet, I still thrive.

Does my laughter force the cringe,
grimaced upon your face?
Do my fingers not gently guide you,
to a once happy, exotic place?
Yet, I still thrive.

Does my spirit not depict beauty,
of a once stunning shore?
Do my lengthy legs not confine you,
in perfect synchronization anymore?
Yet, I still thrive.

Does my sensuality no longer appease,
the thirst once quenched within?
Do my eyes announce the sadness,
of forever living in sin?
Yet, I still thrive.

Does my lonely heart sob uncontrollably,
noting a broken bond of hate?
Do my tears not convey the purpose,
of two lost souls with opposite fates?
Yet, I still thrive.

When all hope is lost

when the birds have stoped

signing their sweet melody,

and the flowers lost their sweet scent,

when the grass started withering,

u were there for me.

u defied the odds and stood tall when i was down.

u were able to reach down on me

u reached my hand and pulled me up.

u believed in me even when i didnt believe.

u made me your hero.

and for that i regard as the best gift in my life.

i will rise again and be the hero in me that you have always seen.

i will stand by you forever.

naw i am a believer,
 all because of you.

and when i look over my shoulder,

i see the dark past that was my life.

and the thought of you brings light to all of it.

now i can walk with my head held high

because i kno wat m made of

and what i have to do.

i know i have to build you and i

a little heaven on earth

where we will live a happy life that all of us always dreamt of.

we came from humble beginings

and today we stood as legends in the name of love.

we wrote the story of our love in sand

hoping that the wind will not wipe away.

but we dont know of the happenings of tomorrow,

so lets rejoice today,

wat our love has created and brought upon us.

u have not deserted me,

In my darkest hour,

i will also be here with you forever,

for i know u do not want me to go anywhere.

you showed me how it is to love,

i will return the love you gave me

and will remain true to you as u have been true to me.

you are every reason, every hope and every dream i ever had,

and no matter what happens to us in the future,

every day we are together

is the greatest day of my life.

m going nowhere.

unless you push me.

but i will move with greater resistance.

for i do not want to go anywhere,

here is where i want to spend the rest of my days,

i have became happier each day since u came into my life.

and i want to share the happyness with you.

if you will let me stay and enjoy the happyness with you.

there will be obstacles in the journey,

but i think both of us will tacle the obstacle together and overcome.

u always had faith in me,

i also have faith in you, and will forever have that faith,

i plead with you to never loose the faith in me,

even through my downfalls.

m here with you and for you

She's My Life

She’s My Life

She thinks she’s not fancy
and she thinks she’s not pretty
and that she’s not good enough for me,
but what she doesn’t know is that; I don’t like fancy,
that she is pretty, she’s way too good for me
and that she’s my Life!

We’ve been together for what seems like forever
and I know I’ve gotten a little lazy
you know; I think I don’t even remember
what it’s like not to have you as my wife.

I hate to say this but sometimes I make her cry,
don’t ask me why
I guess I just take the struggles of my day
out on her
you know, the job, the bills..just everyday life!

Then I get to thinking.....what am I doing?
I must be crazy
what would I do if I go too far and she leaves me.
I can’t live without her,
Sometimes I can be such a slug.
Quickly I must say I’m sorry & give her a kiss & a hug
and let her know that she’s too good for me
and let her know that I love her.
That she’s my Life and I Need Her Forever as My Wife!

What's Happening to Marriages Today

What’s Happening to Marriages Today?

I was listening to someone just the other day…
And I couldn’t believe what he had to say!

He had left his wife and children for another!
She was young enough to be his daughter!

Here they were, “in love” and holding hands!
Hoping to soon, get their “wedding bands!”

They were pretending that this was so “cool.”
Living now by their own “set of rules!”

How sick and disgusting this is getting to be!
Is this something that many can’t see?

God gave us Adam and Eve to become one.
To bear fruit through daughters and sons!

He gave us marriage as holy vows are made.
Not to march in an “adulterous parade!”

We are treading on very dangerous ground!
Faithfulness and commitment
are scarcely found!

The very definition of marriage is changing!
As the family unit is always rearranging!

Our only hope is in Jesus! And him alone!
Let’s promote his love! Into our hearts and home!

Let’s allow his love to be our heart’s glue!
And bring new meaning to the words; “I love you!”

May his love bind our hearts and lives together!
And remain faithful to each other forever!

How do I resist this love

I'm trying to concentrate, on what needs to be done
But with him standing right there
Right before my eyes, holding back
So many emotions, mix inside, I try not to cry
For this anger, has me pushing back, deep in the ditch
But, when he tries to touch me, how do I resit

My heart feels the truth, the truth on my feelings
It feels the love, I' m hiding from him
I continue to work, avoiding any eye contact
Getting his things, so he can be at ease

No, he touches me, my body wants to melt
Melt deep inside, as I feel no air to breathe
But, has he places his hands around my body
Bringing me in closer and closer
My body stumbles to the floor
My inside are tingly in many, many ways

How do I resist this love, I have for him
He was my best friend, a diary at night
Security to my soul, there is no way I can let go
My heart it melts for him, my wall wants to go up
Keeping guards on his musical notes
Reaching his hand out, lifting me from the floor
Trying to show me, I'm his

I dazed into his eyes, as I realize, I'm truly in love
I'm in love with him, yes husband dear
It's going to take some time, for my heart to be at peace
To let him go, I can not do, for I will not forgive or forget
But , I can give it a try, give love another chance

See what fate can truly do, for me, and also you

Getting The Victory For An Addiction

I know of someone with a very powerful addiction.
It was eating him up like a “big time infection…”

His wife didn’t know what to do. She was at her “wits end…”
No matter what she tried… The troubles began…

At church… It didn’t seem to matter how much he cried.
Everything the pastor offered. He already tried.

He couldn’t find an escape. He felt trapped within.
How was he going to overcome this habitual sin?

He was raised as a Christian even as a young man.
But the problems he was now facing,
He couldn’t understand…

He met others at church with similar “obsessions…”
As he began to listen to their many confessions…

The power he was seeking to overcome this “thing.”
Was not enough. He had tried just about “everything.”

He wondered and had thought this whole thing out.
Is this was being a God-fearing person is all about?

As this addiction seemed to be pulling him down…
He reached out for help. And a friend was found.

He cried out to Jesus with a desperate plea….
“Lord Jesus… Have mercy on a sinner like me.”

As the days went by, he confessed his every sin.
And felt the blood of Jesus cleanse him within.

The victory that he needs and desperately sought.
Is already his. It has been blood bought…

Amen! Hallelujah! Victory in Jesus is his indeed.
For Jesus has supplied his every need!

This victory can be yours too! Won’t you give Jesus a chance!
He alone can change your every circumstance!

He has the power, by the blood of the lamb.
He’s reaching out to you! Won’t you take his hand?

I'll Be There

I'll Be There... By: Brandon Lucas

I call out your name,
but you can''t hear me.
I reach out to touch you,
and you are nowhere near me.
I''ve tried and tried
and feel I''ve failed
and done by best
to no avail.
Look in my eyes
and tell me you need me.
I''ll give you my hand
and let you lead me...
to anywhere I don''t care.
As long as you love me
I''ll be there.

An Unforgiven Tune

Scanting, ranting, seething persona provides –
the confinement and hatred inside you hide.
Screaming, steaming, aggressive overtones –
provide a key witness of a relationship unknown.

Shivering, quivering, the innocent will crumble,
to a raving lunatic with a malicious mad stumble.
Convicted, addicted, to the same vindictive game,
this romance conceived within lies and shame.

Silently, violently, cursing the call of creation,
vowing to avenge this marital bond castration.
Pawing, gnawing, at an open bloody wound,
strumming, and humming life's unforgiving tune.

Bridal Anxiety

Behind the doors I stand
Clothed in the aching of my nerves
For standing other side
Is a man I don't derverve

King of Kings is who they call him
And do they rightly so
Though on the outside appears ordinary
Inward dwells a spiritual glow

His manner and his speech
Is more powerful that you can percieve
And you can feel his presence linger
Long after he has leaved

Now waiting for my cue to go
And start my new beginning
A voice whispers inside my ear
reminding me of all my sinninng

Looking in the mirror beside me
At this veil laced with shame
With a dress as white as purity
A False declaration for this dame

I have nothing good to offer him
Little he gains with me as a wife
Is this truly ordained by God
Or will he regret it later in life

But as the door flings open
The organs begins to play
Crowds rise to their feet
And I try to shake my fears away

Raising my head to see my lover
Expecting a disapproval glance
Instead bewildered in my mind
As I see his look of acceptance

With each step I take the past fades
And the worry casts aside
Taking his hand, seeing his face
I feel ready to become his bride

"Oh my darling" he gently whispers
"All along this was my plan
For you to leave this world of disorder
And to dwell in my promised land

For even as you were dark as night
And your sins as black as tar
You still chose to cling to me
Sensing I wouldnt be that far

Please my love, put your trust in me
As I guide you all your days
I'll conquer your foes, heal your pain
And from your side I'll never stray"

Lifting her heart to her Prince of Peace
Wiping the glisten from her eyes
A leap of joy jumped in her heart
And a love from within began to rise

So she stands with a life before her
Knowing that it'll more than suffice
And now till forever she'll remember
The day she became the bride of Christ

What's Done In Secret Will Come Out In the Open

What’s Done In Secret… Will Come Out In The Open! I’ve read God’s word, and it’s clearly spoken… What’s done in secret… Will come out in the open! I’ve been guilty of this, too many times! I never thought of it, to really be a “crime?” “Nobody’s watching” was the thought pondered… As my mind began to “explore and wander.” It didn’t take long for my life to go “off course.” By a powerful wind of temptation’s force! No matter how many times I took time to pray… This “secret” held on, and wouldn’t go away! I went to church on Sunday and prayed and cried. This “secret” remained, no matter how hard I tried! God told me, I was to give up what surrounded me! This was hard to do, but God was there to help me! Many things I thought I needed, to give me pleasure… Didn’t fulfill the love that God gave! An eternal treasure! As each day passes on… I want to humbly confess… I’m giving my life to God! He’ll take care of the rest! May the Lord Jesus stir a deep passion within… May it be my desire to be more like HIM! God is the God of yesterday, today and tomorrow! I’ve no secrets with him! No more shame or sorrow! Jesus is the Lord of lords! And the King of kings! He’s my lord and savior! My everything! By Jim Pemberton

But even though so you show me truest love.

Love lost and found

You wre my first love
I thought I would be your wife
You said we would be forever
Together for life

You moved on to another
You took your loving care
There was no empathy when you left
You almost took my hair

I picked myself up and moved on too
Another came along and promised he would be true
This is real love as it should be
It's not needy, selfish, or greedy

Love is what love does
Love gives and love buds
Love cannot hold a grudge
My new love I wed, in front of a judge

Divorce Isn't Always the Best Choice

Divorce Isn’t Always A Good Choice! I met a person who’s been married for many years. When he talked to me, he was in tears! He was faced with the option of divorce! And now, he feels his life is driven “off course.” His wife said she’s through. She’s “all done.” And doing things which seemed “fun.” Beyond each day and the circumstance… Does this marriage even “have a chance?” Why do people seem happier when they’re apart? Far too often, this ends up in a broken heart! Too often, people “give up” on what they believe! But it’s so many lies, is what they receive! I spoke to this person, of God’s purpose and meaning! Into God’s loving arms, is where he needs to be leaning! When life changes, and marriage seems to have failed you… Jesus is here! And wants to put his arms around you! There’s hope and answers to all of your problems! You’ll find the answer in God’s word! HE can solve them! The best choice for you is to come and trust HIM! Give Jesus your life! Come now and love HIM! All he needs is for you to give him an invitation! He’ll change you! And make you a new creation! His love can do what no other power can ever do! He’ll bring new meaning in the words; “I LOVE YOU!” By Jim Pemberton

Do You Find Yourself In An Embarrassing Situation

Do you find yourself in an
embarrassing situation?
And have brought shame with
 little or no explanation?

Perversion comes in many forms and different kinds.
The result of it is to pollute or destroy the mind…

This type of lifestyle can lead to “an overwhelming” addiction.
And bring into your life misery and affliction…

Many “starve” to “satisfy” their feeling of emptiness…
And too often find themselves
 in a place of loneliness.

If you’re looking to be free
and have a love worth finding…
Come to Jesus now… Allow his words
 of hope to be “binding.”

If you’re one who is seeking treatment
 in what you endeavor…
The promises of Christ are true
 and will last FOREVER!

He is the answer to what you desperately seek,,,
And can give you true victory each day of the week!

In the midst of this world’s temptations
 and “false allusions…”
Christ has the answer!
 He is your true solution!

Allow his word to cleanse your mind and soul…
His blood can wash you clean
and make you whole!

Enjoy his peace and mercy that’s
already been provided…
His love for you has long ago been decided!

Allow him to remove any embarrassment and shame!
He’s here right now… Simply call on his name!

You are you, I am me

You are you, I am me
I wonder If I am seen
I hear Life passing into the night,
like a river passes into the sea

I see That certain cats think,
iam a lying fake that only think of me.
I want To Erase and forget
what you said to me today.
You are you, I am me.

I pretend That im happy,
 when I'm really not okay.
I feel Lost and shipwrecked,
 love is far away.
I touch You awkwardly.
I worry If i will be good enough today.
I cry Because you dont believe a word I say.
You are you, I am me.

I understand I dont think of you,
my word always come out carelessly
I say How did things become this way?
I dream That i will awaken from this reality.
I try, And you lash out unexpectedly
I hope To find a way out of this insanity
You are you, and I am  me.

Water under the bridge

You have my heart and you should know that by now,
But too often, you still find doubt somehow.
Do you really not know, that like you there will never be another?
For me, there isn’t nor will there ever be any other.
No man holds a candle to you. You are a man among men.
When it comes to this heart you win.
Why you think so little of your self I will never know.
Do you not see the love and admiration I so blatantly show?
Do you not know that I would walk through a desert
Of burning heat, so that I could lay my heart at your feet?
Is our love on ground that shaky?
Do you really believe my love to be so flaky?
What gives you reason to be so insecure?
What more do I have to do for you to be reassured?
I thought by now these childish games would have passed?
How can you not know this love was built to last?
I am committed and dedicated not just for you,
But for myself to see this love on through.
These are the trials that separate the weak from the strong,
This is what decides who will be standing
at the end of a day that has been too long.
This will not be our defeat, nor our downfall.
It’ just another thing, and we won’t sweat the small.
So just take my hand and let us carry on.
And soon these troubles between us will be all but gone.

Unfaithful Remorse

When I come home, you pretend to smile,
But inside you cry, all the while.
You know my thoughts are not of you,
Just hope some day, I'll love you too.
I know not why I treat you so bad,
For, you are the truest love I have had.
If you shall find the room to forgive,
I promise my heart for as long as I live.
All that I have is this simple request,
Let's live from this day, not from the rest.
But if this hurdle should be too high,
I will cower my head and say good bye.
For its happiness and joy I wish you to see,
Not sadness and pain as when you're with me.
So, have a nice life, and hope that you find,
That prince of a man you once had in mind.
Maybe with time, and the lesson I've learned,
I can renew the vows that I have burned.
To show my love for you of course,
And to help you see my unfaithful remorse.

Hunting the zero man

A spoilt photo,a wasted life,
failure as a father, the experiment didn't come off.
So great was my abhorrence at the sight of humanity
that i decided to give her the go-by.
Ladies and gentlemen i introduce you,
the disintegration of my personality.
Brand me with a red-hot iron, iam the killer,
Lynch me ,who will struck the first blow?
Be stunned because iam the zero man.
Fully aware of the danger, iam the cracker man
so don't be soppy.
Sentimentalism is the reason of stupidity
and the end justifies the means.
Nothing ever put me out,no shiver all over my body.
Zero.
I will save my skin once again, believe it or not
and i will do this with fussiness, take it or leave it.

A clenched-fist salute to the dead child in front of my car.

I killed again giving birth to nothing.

You Know Now

Getting that feeling in your stomach,
a huge gust of wind whirling in your stomach everytime time you kiss him.
When you think of him your eyes just close and you think of everything and anyting about him and you just smile.

Finally having someone that you can actually see your self with.
Finally being happy with someone and knowing it's everything you wished for, prayed for.
Finally knowing that if you'd lose him, your whole world would go dark.
Like part of you has been ripped apart.

That there you know he's the one you want to live the rest of your life with.

Alone and Afraid

Alone and Afraid?

There was someone I knew,
alone and afraid...
Her husband left her…
She felt betrayed!

I remember seeing her look
of despair…
Was there anyone who
really cared?

This was a very
 difficult situation.
A lot of heartache and frustration!

I remember seeing her
 at church before.
But no one sees her anymore!

People would pass her by,
Seemingly, not concerned…
Even though things in her life,
had taken “the wrong turn.”

Aren’t we to help the widows
 and single mothers too?
This is what God’s word
asks of me and you!

As the body of Christ...
We should serve one another.
Reaching out to the widow
 and single mother.

We must let them know they’re
not forgotten!
Before their lives hit
“rock bottom”

This is a command Christ
Wants us to do!
He’d do the same for
ME and for YOU!

Why So Painful?

I stand, utterly hollow and alone.
Staring and wondering if he'll phone.

Why is it he has this hold over me?
Why can't he just leave me be?

One minute, I think I'm over him,
then all those thoughts and feelings begin.

The biggest part of me knows we can't be together,
but then I remember, we vowed it was to last forever.

I think of the name calling, and him being so vile.
Then here comes the happy memories followed by bile.

My throat burns, from the bile and from the pain.
A lump, stuck there as the tears fall like summer rain.

How does one get over the hurt and betrayal?
He's nothing at all like his first portrayal.

I thought he was loving, kind, and an honorable man.
Was his facade all part of some cruel, sinister plan?

How can you ever put your heart out there again?
I can not begin to tell you how heart wrenching its been.

I feel sorry for him, that he has to put me down.
Its the only way he can make himself feel renown.

I just wonder when the pain will start to subside.
I truly don't know how much longer I can stay on this ride.

One part of me still loves him, for I am still his wife.
The other part, can not keep putting myself through the strife.

A husband and wife are expected to go through dissension.
Love shouldn't have to be this hard though, its too much tension.

How do you say good-bye to a man you love and equally hate?
I never thought I would feel the love I have for him abate.

I fear a divorce is in order, as I do not feel he will ever change.
Its not like for the last two years we haven't been estranged.

I wish I could say that I want to wish him all the best.
But I don't since he's left this ragged, raw hole in my chest.

I know that's not the ladylike way to be.
However, you have no idea what he's done to me.

I once tried to see the best in people, and love fierce.
Well, with his coldness, my heart did he pierce.

I can only hope to one day, heal my broken heart.
He should be ashamed, for tearing my faith in love apart.

But I forgive him for all that he has ever done.
You see, it is I who will be the bigger and better one.

I only hope I can one day try my hand again at love.
And I hope its him that I will no longer be thinking of

They Left so Abruptly

They Left so Abruptly

(for the countless South Africans, of all colours, who dedicated their lives for freedom and democracy)

the valiant ones
countless
many known
many more nameless

the truest sons and singers
husbands and poets
lovers and wives
daughters and farmers
workers and sisters
brothers and friends

they left so abruptly
with quiet pride
steely courage
gentle dignity

they left so abruptly
leaving us our tomorrows
brighter
hopeful
filled with promise

they left so abruptly
so that we may breathe
the breath of liberty
the air of freedom
the warmth of justice

they left so abruptly
leaving with us their parting gift

freedom
inkululeko
swatantrata
liberte
azadi
vhudilangi
libertad

they left so abruptly
yet we remember them all
today
in the days that slipped away
and in the many more that we await

they left so abruptly
yet they remain
hewed into our memories
etched in our consciences
engraved in our hearts
they left so abruptly
and yet they endure
with us
within us
now and forever more

Why

Here we go again, you yelling and my head doin spins.
Now both so loud…both tryin to win.
A battle not ment to be, between two who have something so unique;
Now hot biting lips and at times can’t speak.
B_tch is a word I try not to say, I know it burns but what else can I say
You choppin at me like a tree, molding me like clay.
Into who you see in front of you,
Doing stupid things I wouldn’t think to do.
But you know what “f__k this” “I can’t take it no more”
How strong can a man be, when he like nailed to the floor.
And you can take it how you wanna
Cuz that’s where we at right now,
Cuz don’t forget what you throwing
Also hitting like kapow!!!
When all I wanted to do…was just lay down.
So could you please just stop and think of this
You and I in this frantic twist.
All I want is my baby’s kiss.
Brainstorm…and imagine me,
Think of my eyes and what they see.
Something not working that used to be.

The Addiction Of Pornography

The Addiction Of Pornogtaphy...

.
A Christian brother had a confession.
Pornography in his life was an addiction .
I couldn't believe the words
I began to hear.
As a message of hopelessness from
his lips began to appear.

I began to see tears running down his cheek.
“I go to counseling once a week.”
This was a “man of God” as many believed.
True joy and fulfillment were no longer achieved.

As the lust in his heart began to burn.
Jesus-his once true love-he longed to return.
In the coming days and weeks ahead.
So many ungodly thoughts entered his head.

He began to lose his family and all he cherished.
His life before him began to perish
Then one night in deep agony,
to God, he cried out;
“Is this what life is really all about?”

“Dear Jesus...in repentance I come to you.”
“I have sinned against God and my family too.”
He forsook the things he thought gave him pleasure.
And lived according to God's word
—his true treasure.
Run from every evil temptation
& lust of the flesh.
Or your life will end up in a huge mess!

Pornography in your life will destroy and decay.
From it's appearance—you must run away!
Enjoy Godly relationships as
Christ meant them to be.
Walk anew in God's love—Only HE
can SET YOU FREE!

This Dirty Old Man

The Dirty Old Man...

I once knew of a dirty old man.
His way of living—I didn't understand.
To the altar, many times he cried.
You wouldn't believe the things he tried.

His involvement with sex became an addiction.
He began to raise quite a suspicion.

His wife he once loved
was now despised.
I can still see the tears in her eyes.

“What's happened to my husband?”she asked.
After she caught him in
shameful acts.

He became so confused,
not knowing where to turn.
As the sin in his heart daily burned.

At church... he was one you
could no longer find.
As God gave him over to a reprobate mind.

The details in his life
began to unfold.
Even beyond the age I would call “old.”

I often wonder what was uttered
in his last breath.
As his lustful life brought
an early death.

May you seek to live a Godly life.
Together—in God love—as husband and wife!

Run from temptation's evil grasp.
Enjoy a Godly love with will forever last.

His love will do what no other love can.
It will help you to be a Godly man!

You have all of me

You still have all of me
I wanted to call
to tell you I still think about you
then I thought there's to much pain
that time has not yet erased
You were and still are my prince charming
how could such a perfect love
be destroyed by all the insignificant
drama to many friends
to much jealousy
to much of negative waste of energy
spiritual I'm still with you
I know you still think about me Bubbiee
one day I may see you again
maybe not
I just wanted to write and tell you
you still have all of me
you already new that
Love Always and forever, Shaweewee

Legal Tender of Getting Old

Legal Tender of Getting Old

If tears were coins I'd be a rich man…
If sadness was time I'd live forever…
If I only knew what to do to make it better…
I would do it in a heartbeat.

But, no answers are easy when feelings crash around you…
And the Sun does not shine in the heavens above…
if only I could see…if only I could find a way…if only I knew…
How do you say goodbye when there is no love?

To only be me myself alone … again…
decisions are frightening and shaky to behold…
But change is needed for me to stay sane…
all the while we continue to grow old.

The Child, 1 2 1

A spirit as fragile as glass
A soul virgin in depth
As innocent to the world as to him or herself.
A stranger to emotions, a vessel covered in flesh and a unknown purpose here, on this earth
to be discovered , yet.
Circumstances surrounding his or her conception is not known, but the child is a "gift" from
one... to two...then back to one.
The Child is "joy" whether a daughter or son.
A world commanded by nine and not by ten, created of three, defined as one.
Let the writer's write about the child's world in view and inform the Gatekeeper to prepare to review .

Never Forget the Trash

Tiptoeing through word pockets
Seems childishly delightful.
I litter kisses on your cheek
and hop into giddiness.
Nuzzling warmth into skin,
Smiling and saying nothing,
Patiently diluting the imminent explosion.

But the heart is not the head
And I want to tell you everything.

There is too much for
Simple sugary glee
And I am desperate to share each sun burnt phrase,
Over and over again
So that we can peel away
Non functioning syllables
Useless falsities and shy giggles of sweetness.

Let us dig and dig and dig until
A painfully scribbled page appears
With nonsensical verses that
Stab and scar and swell
And we un-crumple everything
Remove forgetfulness from the trash
And make it beautiful.

They almost lost their chance...

They almost lost their chance
At being together…
But they apologized
They forgave each other…

From the first time we met
I looked into your brown eyes
I knew from that moment
It was only going to be you

We have had so many good times
We have had our fair share of bad
But the future holds so many things
That say we should stay together

After all the hopeless days
After all the hopeless fights
I have realized that we have
made some huge mistakes

Our devotion is not just an emotion
It is something we both give to each other
Each and every day
This is why we stay

Give us more time and…
All hurts will stop
All love will grow
All laughter will flourish
All tears will dry

I will love, honor, and trust you
I will never doubt you again
I will always put my faith in you
I know this will never end

What If Joseph Kissed Potiphar's Wife

What If Joseph Kissed Potiphar’s Wife?

What would happen if Joseph kissed Potiphar’s wife?
Just think about the impact this would be on his life!

If he’d entered into her temptation and charm…
This would’ve cause much damage and harm!

Many of God’s blessings, I’m sure he would missed ‘em!
If he’s let Potiphar’s wife reach out and kiss him!

Thank God that he didn’t succumb to her beauty.
He held fast and remembered his God given duty!

A life serving God was something that he chose!
Even if it meant her tearing off a part of his clothes!

Godly living was something he decided to choose!
Even if it meant him being falsely accused!

God used him while he spent time in prison!
He trusted God, and knew that he was with him!

I’m sure there were things that he didn’t understand.
But soon, God made him the #2 ruler in the land!

May this be a stern warning to me and to all!
Think about what temptation may cause you to fall!

Scripture says “resist the devil and he will flee from you!”
Run to God! And allow his presence
 to surround you!

This society often encourages to “indulge” in sexual sin!
This is where so much heartache and misery begins!

Run to the Lord! Seek his spirit to lead and guide you!
A way to escape temptation, he’ll provide for you!

Like Joseph, run from temptation as fast as you can run!
And lay everything at the feet of God’s precious son!

His love will sustain you! Regardless of what you’re “missing.”
So you too can receive HIS love
 and Godly blessings!

The Life She Has Always Wanted

There’s a girl, sitting at the back of the bar.
Waiting for a glimpse of the life that she’s always wanted.
She’s not looking for a fairy tale or gold.
Just a little work, and some love not from the usual mold.
He walks in with promises, ending in heartbreak and tears.
She drowns him out slowly, with new dreams and a few beers.
The girl sitting at the back of the bar.
Waiting for a glimpse of the life she’s always wanted.
Two years have passed, not much has changed.
She still comes each week to sit at her corner table.
Some work, many dreams, and a few beers become her label.
The women all judge her inside their private mind.
Small town men buy her a drink, wink and smile, but aren’t her kind.
The girl sitting at the back of the bar.
Waiting for a glimpse of the life she has always wanted.
She has big dreams of life, love, and the woman that she wants to be.
I sit across the bar, wishing she’d look just once more to me.
I turned my back, messed up not long ago.
She told me that she loved me, but she had to go.
I failed to show her my love, I’d hurt her badly.
Breaking her heart blindly, while loving her madly.
That girl sitting at the back of the bar.
Waiting for a glimpse of the life that she has always wanted.
Pulling the ring from my pocket, my jaw stubbornly clenching.
I push through the crowded room, and voice my intention.
Dear Beth, I will love you forever. I’m down on my knees!
Just give me one last chance, and marry me please.
That was two years ago yesterday.
And still my love grows more every day.
For the girl sitting at the back of the bar.
Waiting for a glimpse of the life she has always wanted.
As I nod and thank the bar tender, and add to his tips.
I pick up two drinks, turn to the back of the bar, a smile on my lips.
Cause there is my girl, sitting at the back of the bar.
Living the dreams of the life that she’s always wanted.

                                                                                       Summer Gratias

Fix It

I long for … I need so … the comforting sooth
You’d provide in our relationships’ youth

But time and indifference have eroded away
The warmth and caring you used to display.

It’s not you don’t love me, I know that you do
But you have so changed, and … so have I, too.

We’ve grown apart … our interests have waned
Our relationship troubled, our interface strained

We used to hold hands … we used to go dance
Things we’d do … would build and enhance,

Our life together with our future to build …
But … being enthused was long ago chilled.

Please, Dear, help me rekindle the thrill
Of our youthful years, and then we’ll instill

A rebirth of caring of being involved
To enjoy indifferences being dissolved

We’ve conquered disease; we’ve beat down wrongs;
We’ve cried our tears; we’ve sung our songs

There’s nothing together which we cannot do
Please, once more, let’s be: Me … with … You.

Marriage Is Under Attack Like Never Before

Marriage Is Under Attack Like Never Before! Marriage is under attack… And it’s because… So many people have trampled “God’s set of laws…” What once was ordained as “God’s order of unity…” Has often resulted in so much “infidelity…” The God given covenant between a woman and a man… Is so distorted… How can one truly understand? All the way from Genesis to Revelation… God made it clear from the time of creation… It was Adam and Eve from the very start… As Eve was formed from a rib… Close to Adam’s heart. They were joined together by their God above… Being a symbol of his creation and never-ending love This same God is the redeemer of your very soul… It’s only in him that you can be complete and whole! You are invited to join the marriage supper of the lamb… Christ is the bridegroom and is waiting for your hand! Won’t you accept God’s proposal he offers to you? He’s given the invitation… What will you do? He’s coming for a bride who’s sins are washed away! Won’t you accept his proposal of love… Today? He remains faithful… And forever true! I Dreamed of Jesus (Part 2)

...
My pupils met his, and immediately my eyes opened.
He saw my past, my present and the future to come.
Simultaneously, my body fell to its knees in submission
As I began to wail and confess, "Jesus-! Jesus-!
I am sorry! I am sorry! I love You! I love You!"
I knew He knew who I was and all I had been doing.
My heart begged for His forgiveness, longing for his love.
With his eyes still fixed on me, I trembled in anguish.
He overshadowed me, and the fear of torment
Particulated off of me. Then, I saw my mother's face.
(I knew she had been praying for me with great concern.)
Then, without a word, I saw Jesus reach out to me.
He touched my back as if to lift me up with great force,
But with one last cry of His name, "JESUS-!" I woke myself up.

I was kicking and moving my arms when I came to.
I was still on earth, but it was real. I confessed my sins again and again.
I went to the bathroom to rouse myself, then to the opened window.
I was hot and sweaty and too afraid to sleep. I sat up in bed,
Turned on my bedside lamp, and began to write this dream.
Mirjana, turned toward me and asked me why I could not sleep.
I simply told her that I had to write, and she turned over.
I finally finished, turned out the light, wrapped her arms around me,
And closed my eyes. I could still see His light brown eyes and outline of His face,
As if I had gazed at the sun too long and its image was x-rayed in my mind.
What was He going to do? Would He have taken me somewhere?
Was he going to show me something? Would he come again?
I do not know, but this was the second time I saw Him like this.
All I know is that He is perfect, and there is no darkness in Him at all.

Honesty

I'm sorry I do things to make you mad
But sometimes you do things to make me sad

Maybe we're trying too hard not to hurt one another
We need to be honest if we want to go any further

Let's share our feelings like we share our love
We can always draw on strength from above

We've come too far to mess things up
We need to remember why we fell in love

Our feelings are important and sometimes get hurt
We must talk things out, that is for sure

No secrets, no lies or before we know it
Too much time will pass by and we may forget

Bad things could happen and life could get rough
We may even find that we fall out of love

God's Definition of Marriage

God designed marriage as the real thing!
Anything less, is what a counterfeit brings!

His concept of one man and woman is very real.
He’s not interested in bowing to “man’s appeal.”

His court of justice rings very loud and clear!
The truth of his word shall NEVER disappear!

You can look in Genesis and it is found!
He created Adam from the dust of the ground!

He designed Eve from one of his ribs!
They were joined together as both lived!

He didn’t need a constitution to know “their rights.”
He gave them HIS WORD as their guiding light!

Satan has been trying to pervert what God created!
This is a truth. And need not be debated!

We have cheapened the value of the marriage institution!
And have added needless
chaos and confusion!

Through the Bible, one husband and wife are taught!
Unless you want to live in Sodom, as did Lot!

Ungodly perversions take many forms and kinds.
And it soon piles up garbage into our minds!

“What God has put together.”
 “Let no man put asunder.!”
Many ideas of “marriage,” is a total blunder!

One man and one woman is what God ordained in Eden.
It was Adam and Eve.
Not Adam and Steven!

The choices in life are yours! And yours alone!
Who is going to be the Lord, of your heart and home?

Second Chance

I committed my sin and broken hearts
Sided with the devil and done my evil part
I have strayed way to far from my saviors loving side
I have chosen to head on back to God’s right path
In this strange thing called life we make mistakes without
Knowing if we can every turn back

I have chosen a new life by recommitting my life to the old
I am recommitting my life to my husband and to God above
I have asked for forgiveness and they have chosen to
Grant me one more chance,
A second chance to be a good wife, and a faithful child

I gambled and almost lost the most precious gift to me,
My family
Our family is our treasure, our prize as we grow we lean
On them to survive

The :Look On My Child's Face In An Ordinary Place

Just yesterday I noticed a look of
 love on my child’s face.
This happened in a most “ordinary place.”

It was in our home...a place
 by God’s own design.
I felt God speaking to my heart
 this particular time.

I didn’t take any time to
 stop and realize,
The look of love and innocence
 in my child’s eyes.

“Am I being the kind of Dad
 God wants me to be?”
“Am I being an example of Christ
 for my child to see?”

Have I been demonstrating my
 God-given ability,
teaching my kids God’s love,
 and responsibility?

May a Christ-like life in my kids
 be clearly seen and understood,
As one day they will
grow into adulthood.

I hope that one day my
 Children will say:
“I want to be like my Dad-
every single day!”

NOTHING Yes I Said Nothing Can Separate Us From God's Love

Though in this world, we so often trod…
NOTHING can separate us
from the love of God!

Neither tribulation,
distress or persecution…
Nor the government or it’s institutions.

Neither nakedness, peril
 or even the sword...
God’s love is a treasure that can’t be stored!

As it is written; “We are like sheep
 led to the slaughter…”
But God loves every son and daughter.

In everything, we’re more than conquerors
 through Christ who loves us…
His death on the cross means
 that he wants us!

Neither death, the angels or
 the principalities to be…
Things present or to come…
Can separate HIS love for me!

Nor height, depth or any kind of creature…
Can separate us from God’s love…
This is his feature!

His love is clearly evident
and reigns supreme.
Over all of the earth and every human being!

Why not accept his love…
That is inseparable?
By accepting HIS salvation.
He’s made this possible!

Now is the day of salvation.
His gift is for us to receive.
All you have to do is reach out to him…
And simply believe!

How John Mayer helped end and save my marriage

How John Mayer helped end and save my marriage.. S.Hudson

Our love can be summed up in a playlist of John Mayer songs,
A myriad of one liners and chorus’ overlaying the template of life,
Our “heart break warfare” led to a horrible affair,
She and another took solace in a shared love for John Mayer,
They dreamed together with “Half of my heart” playing in the distance,
“Showing me another way” ,
But a dream is all it could be, and a dream is all it was,
The “Gravity” of the situation realized,
And a husband missing all of his heart.
Two worlds pulling at the hem,
“Pain throws your heart to the ground, Love turns the whole thing around,”
It is said, we have lived together through both my wife,
And I don’t know, “If I trust myself with loving you”,
But, “I’m not the man I used to be lately”
And here we are now,
Trying to recapture this “Home life” John muses of.
“I’d love to walk where we both can talk”, I’d love to give you my all,
“Oh it’s taking so long, I could be wrong, I could be ready, Oh but if I take my hearts advice,
I should assume it’s still unsteady, I am in repair, I am in repair,”
For know we stand with our heart in the others hand, fragile, unsteady, unsure,
But oh so willing.
All I know Rhonda is, “There ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone”
“My girl she ain’t the one that I saw comin,” I “love who ya love, who ya love”
That’s YOU!
I thank you John Mayer for giving us the words and the playlists for
This roller coaster of emotion, heartbreak, passion, romance and desire,
That has been our Story line.
Keep em coming, because we still have a lifetime of Romancing and store walks ahead…

If Only You Really Knew

I cant go and I can't leave
I'm sadly broken from within between
I know that I probably should go
but every time my heart keeps telling me, "no!"
you've changed so much,
and you've lost your light,
now your filled with anger and spite.
you've stolen my happiness and my pride
you call me names and watch me cry
all my tears, sinking into all my fears.
you sit back and laugh with all the guys
joking like my misery is your biggest prize
when I met you , you were something so special,
something that shined like a ruby or crystal.
now your dull you should be ashamed,
your a little boy , you will never change.
god will give back what you've been giving
take this as a lesson in life's finer living.
kindness and compassion can go a long way
maybe you should remember that, it could help you out some day :)

This is actually a song that I wrote, Hope you enjoy! :)

The saga of the dusty road

The Saga of dusty roads of Utah
(To the memory of Don W. Esplin, father of Kathryn Esplin-Oleski)
= =
There he was playing with some mild explosives,
in his own backyard, a resolute boy he is;
the June month had swelled like the taut belly of
a neighborhood lady; the boy wanted to be
a scientist which he became. He, of course could not
envision that all these sepia dust of Utah,
the noon backyard and a young scientist’s narrative
would be remembered by his explosive daughter
and a strange Indian was going to pen a saga.

Alfred Nobel was smiling from a page of a book

The boy rolled a cigarette, the smoke’s curlicues
swirl up to grain the picture. A blast almost choked
the bright blue jays and robins. Defused sun slanted.
The end of the road was just an end of the road
where sun could meet earth, warm grass shook off the heat
and the covert window of the farm house would yield
a father and son talk. Strong argument on
future, on an university, on money
on a world that could differ in generations;
of course the boy, as a father, understood
his girl, then living apart. But distance is in heart.
He would grow up midst dreams. A quirky wind would blow him
here and there; navy, marriage and science,
pharmacology and marriage again; a gust
of wind would take him on a ride that, if he could
read this he would have said, resembled his truck rides
down the roads of Utah. But at that point of time
he was wide awake inside his misty night’s sleep
and an American novel is shooting up
its multiple heads in search of fresh oxygen.
The waves of moon were enjoying a full tide.

God Can Heal Your Marriage

How often have you told your
wife you love her?
Only to be caught in the arms of “another…”

The vows that were made...
 The promises given.
God gives a chance for you
to be forgiven!

A husband and wife are sanctioned
 by our Lord…
But often end up in anger,
 bitterness and discord.

Jesus can mend the hurt and remove the pain.
And bring a healing to
 any guilt or shame.

He loves you with a Godly
jealousy that is evident.
Into your heart and life…
He longs to be a resident.

Won’t you allow his power
 to bring a restoration?
Before your family is heading
 toward a separation?

Let his words of hope and
 love be the glue.
And bring a new meaning to the words;
 “I LOVE YOU!”

May you be “caught up” in your
heavenly father’s embrace.
And allow his love
to put a smile on your face!

What God has joined as one.
 He can keep together.
Won’t you allow him to bless
 your marriage forever?

Have You Been Found GUILTY I Have The Answer

Guilty As Charged? Try Jesus!

There was a woman caught in an adulterous act.
Her accusers came after her with all of the “facts…”

She came to Jesus. .. With a heart-felt plea.
“Master….” “Have mercy on someone like me!”

Jesus looked at her as she wept and cried.
So many other things she had already tried.

Coming to Jesus… She felt scared and alone…
Jesus told her accusers; “You without sin.”
 “Throw the first stone.”

One by one… They dropped the stones and fled.
Rather than face the truth…
 They ran away instead…

Jesus told the woman; “Your forgiven.”
 “Go and sin no more…”
She was the meaning of what
God’s grace was meant for.

If you’re caught in a situation,
 with “no way out…”
This is what the meaning
 of salvation is all about!

Any “accusers” you may have,
 will quickly run and hide.
When to Jesus you come…
And have him “on your side…”

Allow the master to cleanse your life this very hour…
And experience the love of his life-changing power!

He’ll take you in with his arms wide open.
“You’re forgiven!” Will be the lovely words spoken!

Be “caught up” in the savior’s
redeeming grace…
He’ll give you hope and put a smile
 on your face!

I can't bear to be perfect anymore

I always knew something about you would fade.
Your words never could reach my soul,
But they ripped my heart in half.
With every being of who you are you tired,
And tired but it never worked.
And who I am seems to be frowned upon,
Time and time again.
I was never enough for you,
And someday you'll move on to something great,
To someone greater.
And we're gonna grow apart,
One day I'll see you somewhere and remember you.
You'll be a married man and far past us,
And it won't matter to you.
It'll still scar me and even if right now
I appear as the stronger one, it won't be like this forever.
I'm breaking down on the inside, I just don't show it.
And you don't know the control you have,
I just had to write you this so you would know,
That I'm moving on' and letting go,
Even though I don't want to.
You'll keep going about your life,
And keep regretting me like you have been,
And I've never regretted you.
I feel like I've been pushed down,
Pushed down, cut and pushed into the dumpster.
The sadness is this is no longer a poem.
This isn't a work of art,
This is a sad way of writing a letter to a lost friend,
A lost friend who shouldn't be lost.
A lost friend who should still be mine.
But I'll give you my acceptance of moving on when it feels,
While it feels unbearable. And I've lost you.
Odds against me, I doubt I'll ever have you again.
I've never been enough for you,
And I can't bear to try to be perfect anymore.
I can't feed you the lies so I'm enough for you.
I guess I'll always be imperfect,
And unable to be yours.
Hopefully you aren't always lost;
Love and leave,
Joy and tears,
Mine and gone,
One day we'll see.

This Habit's Got A Hold Of Me I Can't Break It

This habit has a hold of me. ..
I can’t seem to break it!
I’m so discouraged … I can’t “shake it!”

I don’t know what to do, or where to turn…
When I tell others about it.
 They’re not concerned…

What am I going to do in a situation like this?
It seems like my life is just one huge mess!

The “satisfaction” I seek… I haven’t obtained.
I’ve only myself… And no one else to blame…

Many discouraging thoughts
have entered my head.
Each night I cry out loud before going to bed…

I can’t think or do anything like I once did.
I don’t know how much longer
 I ‘m going to live.

Can you help me Jesus? I know that you can.
There’s no one else who’ll listen
 or understand…

I’m going to get on my knees and begin to pray…
And ask for God’s help. I’ll do it TODAY!

I trust his power to break this habit of mine…
This is the hour! This is the time!

I need true freedom. And a love that will last.
Everything I’ve tried… Disappears fast!

To you Lord Jesus I give my life that’s broken.
“Please come into my heart…”
  Are the words spoken.

“Help me Lord to have victory within…”
“And thank you Lord for being my friend!”

Sin's Temptations

Sin’s Temptations…

In our flesh… There’s nothing good that dwells.
If we’re not careful…
It will lead us to hell!

Be careful when you see your brother
stumbling with sin!
It could happen to you!
And you don’t know when!

Every sinful temptation has
 the same purpose and goal.
To “ensnare” you into bondage...
And forever damn your soul!

The truth of God’s word is very
 plain and clear…
Things aren’t always as good as they “appear.”

When temptations come your way…
 Don’t give them a chance!
Don’t fool yourself by saying;
“It can’t hurt just to take a glance!”

The purpose of Satan’s plan…
Scripture does unfold…
Everything he tells you is
the biggest lie ever told!

One thing I pray that we
 all understand…
We must keep our eyes on Jesus!
 Not sinful man!

JESUS is here and has something free to give!
An abundant and overcoming
 life that you can live!!!

Do We Have An Example Just ONE

Do We Have An Example?

Do we have an example of those
 who aren’t afraid to say…
“I’m going to bow my head
 to the Lord and pray.”

Do we have an example of those with a like mind?
To be respectful, courteous and kind?

Do we have an example of those who’ll take a stand?
Against the tide of evil
all throughout this land?

Do we have an example? Just one person?
Who’ll live by the Bible…
And apply it’s lessons?

Do we have an example of those
 to teach the younger generation…
Living for God will give us a solid foundation?

Do we have an example? Anyone to be found?
Who’ll spread the gospel
to every city and town?

Do we have an example? Can we look to YOU?
Who’ll try to live the way Jesus wants us to?

Can we find an example? With the courage to live?
Being Christ example with the power to FORGIVE!

Can we find an example? Let me make this point.
There’s Jesus! And he will NEVER disappoint!

Can we trust this example? Most assuredly YES!
In HIM can you find a security,
 a peace and a REST!

Will you be an example? And give your life to him?
And experience what it means to be “born again!”

His example of love can be yours and mine…
Won’t you give HIM a chance?
  While there’s still time?

Hurt so much

You left me standing there
With out a word to say
You get in his car
And I watch him drive away

You hurt me so much
And I just stood there in the rain
Grinded me teeth
And just took the pain

Now you tell me sorry
And how you miss my touch
But how can I forgive you
When it still hurts so much

No only did she leave
But she rubbed it in my face
While I was at work
She would bring him in my place

Never forget the way he smile
Looking at me with his evil eyes
Thinking what a fool I was
Not to see her cheating lies

Now she stands in front me
Like a broken tram missions clutch
But how can forgive her
When it hurts so much

What goes around, comes around
My grand mother use to say
They left me a broken man
Now look who’s crying today

A man will use a woman
Just to cause her husband pain
But when she leave home for him
Then there is no excitement again

So he will leave her now
And move on to his next victim
Then she will call her husband
Saying she sorry and she miss him

But who laughs last
Laughs the best
And the karma
Will take care of the rest

Now she stands in front my door
Say she wants to relight the torch
But how can I forgive
When it hurts so much

Many nights I cry alone
Thinking of him getting your touch
So tell me how I can forgive
When it hurts so much

I Remember Back When

I remember at the young age of 9 or 10.
Going to the theater was
considered a sin.
There were many things
that as a young boy.
That I wanted to explore and enjoy.

My parents may have been "old fashioned."
They were filled with a Godly
love and compassion.
I look back now and with some hesitation.

And think about this
"new generation."
I wonder "where have all of the morals gone to?"
Some parents are doing things, as a kid, I'd never do.
Many of the "Godly" parents don't seemed concerned.
What's right or wrong—they can't discern.

What once was a dividing line
between black and white.
Is now; "if it feels good—it must be allright."
The savior's call for holiness in your life must dwell.
Living by his word will save your family from hell.

Maybe living for Jesus is by some,
"a narrow way of living."
May your life be one of sacrifice,
holiness and thanksgiving.
May your commitment be true, your heart sincere.
For one day very soon, Jesus shall appear.
Now's the time to be an example
of Jesus' precious name.
When he comes —will you be ready—
or be ashamed?

I Dreamed of Jesus

His eyes, they do pierce...
Sharper than the points of the nails
That punctured his hands and feet,
More accurate than the blade of the spear
That drove blood and water from his side.

Last night, I was sitting at a drawing table
(Whether I was writing or drawing,
Or preparing to do so, I do not know.)
In a room without walls with the table lamp on.
Both my arms were on the table top
As light from the west stretched shadows
To the east until they were no more.
His figure drew near, but He was not alone.
Mirjana held his left hand like a royal.
Her hair was up, and she was in a long gown.
She was enveloped with light like one of his angels.
Her facial expression was that of Eve in the arms of God
Being carried to Adam, who was about to be touched.
When I looked at Him, it seemed my eyes closed;
But His face still came to me. Through my eye lids,
I surveyed His image. It was the whitest white
Mingled with the gold of sunrise, translucent
From head to toe; He was floating toward me
With a smile on His face.  His hair was long and brown;
But the light made it look white; His teeth were straight.
His full beard appeared like his hair, and then...

Can God Find You Faithful

Can God Find You Faithful?

I once knew a man had made
up his mind.
He left his wife and children behind!

He met someone who “captured his heart.”
This was a deception
from the very start!

His wife gave God and their kids
her love and attention...
But her husband went
Into another direction!

  They went to church...
 And did their "Sunday best."
How could this
 turn into such a mess?

Temptation can happen to anyone!.
Whether rich or poor.
Be careful what you allow to
 enter your heart's door.

Regardless of whether you've been
married for a lot of years..."
One shameful act can bring
 heartache and tears!

The love that’s been given...
  Let no one take away!
No matter what others think...
 Or what they might say.

Stay true to God! You'll be
glad you did!
His love and joy will bless you
 each day you live!

Jesus will never forsake you!
Or leave you alone!
Allow HIM to bring peace and
 restore your home!

Aborted Babies

Aborted Babies…

Innocent life is being murdered each day.
While our courts say that it’s legal and “o.k.”

Women getting pregnant and maybe don’t understand.
The tragedy that’s happening all over this land!

Is this really something that many people have willed?
To have the unborn to be
“torn apart and killed?”

Many are told abortion is the “best thing to do.”
But not knowing who else to turn to.

Government pretends to have an answer for this.
But it’s just turning into one huge mess!

Read the Bible and you will come to know.
The God who created you…
Loves you so!

Jesus knew you in the womb!
Your hair color and name!
He saw your body when out of your
 mother you came!

He saw your little heart the first time it beat!
And saw your mother the first time
 she tickled your feet!

There is never one unwanted person on God’s list!
You are precious to him…
And are never missed!

He knows each life and every heart that’s beating!
And brings purpose, love and
 a TRUE meaning!

Speaking That Which Is Wholesome And Good

Speaking That Which Is Wholesome and Good… You must be careful to speak that which is good and wholesome. Speaking like this will minister to others.. In a way that will "bless them!" May the words that are chosen, be used for edification… May they be said in a manner of a Godly dedication! As you speak… May you minister grace to the listener. Brining healing in the words spoken to your brother and sister! The words of kindness and love… May we all freely give it. And not quench the work of the Holy Spirit! As we are sealed by God on the day of redemption. We’re called to be HIS example. There’s no exemption! May all bitterness, wrath and anger immediately diminish. So our spiritual lives can be daily replenished! Be kind toward one another, gracious and tenderhearted… So the goodness of God… Through you… Can be started! As you forgive other… As Christ has forgiven you… May we not forget HIS words: “I LOVE YOU!” The power and grace of God is what he’s anxiously revealing. Battle in my Heat

Battle in my Heart

Heart of mine; what is the reason for living?
When your will to live is dying?
All the days and nights; was each tear really worth crying?
I Battle in my heart; for the one I love...
Fighting reasonings to keep us as "one?".
The unity of our vows; echo forever in my heart.
Wishing and longing, my heart aches being apart.
I married you because I love you...now and forever.
Uniting our love..will always be my endeavor.
The windows of my soul; sprang tears, confused feelings are taking its toll.
Hold me..find me..fullfil once again, my desolete soul.

Red Rose

Give me a red rose,
fill each petal with your love.
Allow the tenderness of your eyes
to peruse the pastel approvingly.

Give me a red rose,
as deep and passionate in colour as can be found.
Let it run across my cheek,
falling with your hand like a star.

Give me a red rose,
straight from the garden in your soul.
Nurtured with the light of your eyes,
the beats of your heart.

Give me a red rose,
that depicts the passing hours in your arms.
Not as a blase' depiction of love.
It is a metaphor. It is the blossoming of beauty.

Give me a red rose,
leave the thorns attached.
Don't avoid the cuts and pain - they will heal
letting the stem hold tighter to the smile.

Give me a red rose,
I'll give you eternity. A speckled sparkle
in a raindrop that clings to the colour.
A moment that lives for eternity, beyond the vessel.

LIFE IS MEANT TO LIVE

LIVING IS LAUGHING, SHARING THE FUNNIEST MOMENTS THAT CAPTURED OUR GREATEST
SMILES.
ENJOYING THE TIME WHEN SOUNDS OF HAPPINESS WERE ALL THAT CLEARED THE AIR.
THE GIGGLES WE'VE HEARD, THE SMILES WE SEE,
THE TOUCH I FEEL WHEN YOU ARE SO NEAR.
LIFE IS THE MEANING WE LOVE SO DEAR.
THE AMBITION & MOTIVATION USED TO KEEP OUR HEADS CLEAR.
OUR REASONS TO STRIVE & TO KEEP LOVE ALIVE.
OUR DECISIONS TO MAKE,
TO FEEL OUR HEARTS BREAK,
TO TAKE THAT GREAT CHANCE BEFORE ITS TO LATE!
TO FINDING TRUE LOVE & NEVER ASTRAY,
TO BEING SO ANGRY & STILL WANNA STAY,
TO HAVING THE PATIENCE OF AN ARMY OF MEN,
BUT STILL BEING ABLE TO CRACK & BEND.
LIFE IS A LESSON FOR EACH ONE TO LEARN,
AND BLESSINGS THERE FOR EACH ONE TO EARN.

The Murder In The Study-PTSD

I sit there watching,
watching as he struggles through the pain.
Scared to touch him,
as my hand hovers above his sweat soaked skin.
Where's the antidote?
My eyes scream for an answer,
my lips cry from the sight.
He's lost in his mind,
trapped in the memories,
the fears have taken him from here.

I say his name tentatively, he doesn't hear me.
Eyes black, empty souled,
where's he gone, God where does he go?
Bombs exploding in his ears,
guns firing rapidly,
hands clenching his only hope of survival.
I bite my lip and brush a lock of hair from his eyes.
Empty eyes, his strength is crushing my wrist,
His hand clutching my throat.
I plead his name, beg for him to wake up
from this nightmare of a dream.
Beneath my breast, within my chest
I feel my heart throbbing.
How long will it be until it breaks.

I'm clawing at him, my nails tearing open his shirt.
I've become an animal, an invisible threat to his blind eyes.
As my nails rake across his face,
my back slams into a book case,
I look up, His empty eyes, a world away
in a world of war, his hand shaking
with the cold metallic gleam of his gun.
He aims, without seeing, and the bullet hits his mark.
Instinct has my hands on the hole in my chest.
curiosity draws them away
and with the sticky red I paint.
Maybe when he awakes he'll see this,
this one thing, it might save his sanity.

I scrawl 'I love you', my tears wont wash it away.
I lay as I go blind,
the black fading from his eyes,
and into mine.
God, take away his pain.
Let me steal his dreams,
as you stole his sanity.

Loves Forked Road

Loves forked road

No longer side by side are we
When we drifted apart neither could see.

But here we stand so far apart
Hoping and wishing for a better start.

Our love we say, still exists deep within
Yet our treatment of each other feels like sin.

Unable to talk, so quickly anger arouse
Feelings are hurt, deep infliction housed.

Remedy we know, we must quick find
Both searching desperately within our minds.

For in one condition we have firmly agree
To continue this way and end must to see.

Yet down this road ,now the the fork we reach
One leads to a new future, the other we must cease.

The ending road neither wish to travel yet
For memories of our love we still hope to get.

The other road an agreement we hope to make
Together side by side, hand in hand to take.

But in our contract these values must follow
To love, honor, respect and in friendship to go.

For these old standing patterns of agreement
Must be replaced with new, the old is sent

Sent to the past forever to lie,
Buried deep away like a funeral must die.

In dedication to our future reunited love
In support and respect to each other made of.

So our hurts and betrayal must be put to rest
And with this new beginning extent of our love test.

For what brought us together most powerful strong
I pray each day no error we made for wrong.

Fall in love again impossible, some may say
But let us try this with every passing day…

No more cruel words ,no distance of soul
All things written above, these shall be our goal.

Inspiration has found me, with a new beginning
That promise I make to you …our love …no more sinning

I Can't Do This Anymore It's Dragging Me Down

I just can’t keep “doing this” any longer! What am I doing? I began to wonder… This “sin” just keeps dragging me further down… What do I do? There’s no one around??? This “thing” has got a hold on me… I cry every night… I want to be FREE! I’ve tried and tried… But to no avail… Just when I think I have victory… I fail! I’ve read in scripture of a power that I haven’t seen. I read of a savior who can do ANYTHING! Why don’t I give him a try? I’ve nothing to lose! I’ve been so hurt, worn out and abused..… To you, dear Jesus… I confess my every sin. And can feel your love from deep within! Thank you Jesus! For giving me a joy I never knew… I don’t know where I’d be if not for YOU! You’ve brought to my life a peace I never had. For all you’ve done for me. I am so glad! Won’t YOU give your burdens to this one… I call friend? And experience the joy of being born again? Please come to him now. Why not this hour? And experience his life-changing power! Those Close to Us Can Cause So Much Hurt

Those Close To Us Can Cause So Much Pain Isn’t it amazing, the hurt and damage someone can do? Especially by the one who said; “I Love You!” Isn’t it amazing, how someone, which we’ve given our heart. Can betray our love, and “tear it all apart?” On that special day, when your vows were exchanged… It’s almost like “overnight,” some people change! Throughout this country, this seems too commonplace. As people seek their own desires… Instead of God’ grace. Isn’t it amazing, how anger, jealousy and bitterness begins? Even amongst our loved ones, that we have called “friends?” What’s more amazing… Is how God, in his mercy and care.. Still loves us. And he is always there! No matter what you’ve said, or what you do. God remains the same. And is always there for YOU! He is faithful! His commitment to you is strong and secure! His love is everlasting! And is 100% PURE! I stand amazed, as to how God still loves us. He asks for our heart. He wants to trust us! Won’t you come and experience his love today? He loves you much more than words can say! By Jim Pemberton

I've Seen Sin's Destructive Force

I’ve Seen Sin’s Destructive Force!

I have seen the destruction of sin’s evil force.
It happens when people’s lives go “off course.”

God has given to us his word as a solid foundation.
Too many relationships end in a separation.

I’ve seen people being together for many years.
Come to an abrupt “halt.” Ending in heartache and tears.

People that have had many harsh words spoken…
Only to have their lives torn apart and broken!

God has given us his was of truth and living.
It requires a life of sacrifice and giving!

He asks for us to sacrifice our time for him
And to allow for his love and a healing to begin!

The truth of his word need to guide what we do and say.
It needs to guard our souls, 24 hours each day!

Scripture gives us a “roadmap” in which build upon.
God’s spirit will guide us when “things go wrong.”

May I suggest spending some time each day in prayer?
Your heavenly father knows your every need and cares!

He wants the very best for you and so much more!
His love and mercy are truly worth living for!

If your life seems “fragile” and heading
 in the “wrong direction.”
Won’t you seek God’s ways
and his “divine correction?”

With the blood of Jesus, your life
will be on solid ground!
For where there is sin... God’s love does
much more abound!

Please come to the Lord! Why not this hour?
Experience his presence and
 life-changing power!

Getting By With The Simple Things In LIfe

The Simple Things In Life…

I met this person… And could hardly
 believe my ears…
He hasn’t watched public
 television in over 40 years!

How could someone not
watch this for so long?
Is everything o.k with him? Is anything “wrong?”

Allow me to put any uncertainties
or questions to rest.
He is doing quite well…,
And feels rather blessed!

He hasn’t looked to television to entertain.
But is very happy..
No reason to complain…

I know that he loves Jesus
with a passion and zeal…
God is in his heart. He knows his God is REAL!

He has a dedication for Christ
and the Holy Ghost.
He seeks in life what really matters the most…

He has a wife and several children as well…
They’re seeking God’s love. You can TELL!

It’s the “simple things in life”
 they’ve learned to enjoy…
A contentment in life is what
they wish to employ…

What takes our time from Jesus
 we may one day regret.
That which Christ has done for us…
 May we not forget!

May we all be encouraged to live for God.
Whatever the cost…
And perhaps get our focus back
 on the “old rugged cross…”

Mom I'm Pregnant

“Mom…. I’m Pregnant!”

From the time I held my baby
in my arms…
I made a vow to “protect her from all harm.”

She was indeed a wonderful bundle of joy…
And during her life, has been a gift for us to enjoy.

She's been the focus of much of our attention,
Trying to provide for her
“timely” correction.

As a father, many thoughts entered my mind…
I wanted to be attentive to her,
patient and kind.

As she's gone through
her teenage years…
I thought of what perhaps is a parent’s #1 “fear.”

Then one day... “Mom I’m pregnant” were spoken...
At first, my heart was sad and “broken.”

“I didn’t raise her to be “crazy and wild…”
“How could this happen to a wonderful child?”

I realized that in spite of everything
 parent’s will do.
There’s no telling what their
children will put them through.

I gave her a hug and all of the
 support I could give…
Everything she’s been through…
 God will forgive!

With all that has happened in her life…
One day she’ll make someone a wonderful wife!

Dear Lord, please help my daugher to see...
How precious she is to her mother and me!

God's Plan For Marriage

God’s Plan for Marriage… There’s a truth that remains since the beginning of time. God created man and woman. And had one thing in mind. From the dust of the ground, Adam was formed. From his side came Eve. A new life was “born!” God’s design for marriage became very evident and clear… If not for Adam and Eve, none of us would be here! Marriage is a blessing from God. A gift from God above. A man and a woman come together as an expression of their love. Anything different than one man and woman is perverted. This is a lie from our culture that is trying to be “inserted.” God gave us all a natural love with a strong ambition. To come as a husband and wife is a God given intention! Read from the books of Genesis thru Revelation… God’s idea of marriage is for any person or nation. Many can try to change what God has already designed. It’s no wonder why so many have “confused” minds. Let’s come back to God and trust him with our life! The one who set up marriage as; “one husband and one wife!” By Jim Pemberton

Those Close to Us Can Cause Much Hurt And Pain

Those Close To Us Can Cause Much Hurt And Pain... Isn’t it amazing… The hurt and damage, someone can do? Especially by the same person who said; “I Love You!” Isn’t it amazing… How someone, which we’ve given our heart… Can betray our love, and “tear it all apart?” On that special day, when your vows were exchanged… It’s almost like “overnight,” some people change! Even amongst Christians. This seems too commonplace. As people seek their own desires… Instead of God’ grace. Isn’t it amazing… How anger, jealousy and bitterness begins? Even amongst our loved ones, that we have called “friends?” What’s more amazing… Is how God, in his mercy and care.. Still loves us. And he is always there! No matter what you’ve said… No matter what you’ll do…. God remains the same. And is always there for YOU! He is faithful. His commitment to you is strong and secure! His love is everlasting. And is 100% PURE! I stand amazed, as to how God still loves us. He asks for our heart. He wants to trust us! Won’t you come and experience his love today? He loves you so much more than words could ever say! By Jim Pemberton

Still In Love

Still In Love... My son came to me with a question on his mind. I said; “Not now son— I just don't have the time.” He said, “Daddy—are you still in love with Mommy?” “Do you love her like you did when I was in her tummy?” My eyes choked with tears; “Yes son I really do!” “I'm in love with her... and I appreciate you.” “Daddy—will you always love me like you do mom?” “Yes my son—my love for you will always belong.” I looked down and much to my surprise. There were tears running down my sons's eyes. He came running to me with his arms wide open. “Thank you daddy” were his words spoken. I picked him up and gave him a great big hug. As I let him down, on my shirt I felt a tug. His little arm reached up to grab my hand. I knew that what I said, he began to understand. I love his mom so much—my wonderful wife. She's been such a blessing- a great part of my life! By Jim Pemberton

WHO Built YOUR House

This house of ours is “plain.”
But is still standing.
We’re “simple folks...”
 By many people’s understanding…

We may not have much of what is
“socially appealing”…
But we have love in our hearts.
And this is a good feeling!

We may not be “wrapped up” in much
 of this world’s entertainment.
But we seek God’s peace
and a desire for contentment.

We, as a family, have one purpose
 and “calling” in mind.
To seek God’s ways of being
 merciful and kind…

Each day we pray with much
 thankfulness in our hearts…
For this is where happiness
 and gratitude starts!

We’re thankful to the Lord for
 his unfailing grace…
And for keeping us together
 in this special place…

We’re blessed to have a God who
 is truly worth finding.
His word in our lives is precious
  and worth memorizing!

“Unless the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain that build it!”
God must rule and reign…
So his love can completely fill it!

Abba (For My Father and My Husband)

Love speaks truth into the darkest heart
Where ministering angels stir the soul's delight.
Interred till now beneath a bitter night,
Released this day from bleak resentment's art.
Love, reach deep even though we are apart.
Dismantle lies and give me sacred sight;
Illuminate those wounds born of spite.
Forgiveness sighs, then wakes with a start.
The strand which connects all fathers has led me to one
Whose poems sing praise to God's own truth revealed
Through the Holy Spirit, Mary, and the Son.
A father's heart, so tender, is concealed
Until that inner angel's work is done
And a daughter's vision, through heavenly grace, is healed.

The Things I Feel Inside of Me

The things I feel inside of me,
I doubt anyone will ever know.
The things I feel inside of me,
I try so hard not to let them show.
The things I feel inside of me,
Sometimes makes me cry,
The things I feel inside of me,
Make me wonder why I'm ALIVE!
The things I've seen,
The things I've done,
Makes it hard as hell,
For me to live on!
My life is so much better now,
Than it was before,
I finally have someone that loves me,
That I love even more!
This man comforts me,
When I'm feeling all alone,
The man gives me shelter,
After 25 years I finally have a home!
It's not the walls, the roof,
or even the floor,
It's the Love and Understanding,
That I never had before!
I need this man,
More than he'll ever know,
To hold me and love me,
As we grow old!
His smile can always,
Brighten up a room,
He eyes tell me,
He loves me,
And he'll never leave me, Blue!
His arms they hold me,
And touch me so gentle.
His body, so handsome and sexy,
I can't get enough!
He always makes me smile,
Even when I want to cry.
He always kisses me gentle,
To tell me he's at my side.
He loves with all he is,
Was, or ever will be,
With him is where I'll stay,
Through eternity!

With Christ YOU CAN Overcome

With Christ… You Can Overcome!

One of the things I don’t understand, Is the wickedness throughout this land. I’ve often thought and have pondered. How can this evil continue much longer? It’s amazing what man will do to each other. How people treat their sisters and brothers! The Bible says that the heart is wicked above all things. We can testify to the destruction an evil heart brings! In all of this wickedness, sin and confusion… There is an answer! There is a solution! We’ll find eternal hope and a peace within… As we come to Christ and confess our sin! Why not allow Christ to make you complete? Lay your every burden and worry at his feet! He’ll restore your life and wipe away your tears. His perfect love will cast out your fears! He’ll restore to you, what the enemy has taken. With him by your side… You’ll not be forsaken! Your heart will be strengthened and renewed! His words of life are like “heavenly food.” By the blood of the lamb… You can overcome! Christ has the victory! The battle’s been won! By Jim Pemberton

What Has Happened To The Family

I remember growing up in a Christian family.
We were content, joyful and quite happy.

Things were "going along rather well."
We loved each other... more than words could tell.

I think of the special love
between mom and dad.
As my parents... I was proud and glad!

Over the years that rolled on by.
Something happened. I don't know why.

Our deep love became
replaced with "excuses."
Our relationshps filed with
 "barsh words and bruises."

This family... I once held so close to my heart.
Began to "unravel and fall apart."

Our love for another became bitter and cold.
Even to the day we're "growing old."

Everywhere... it is evident and appearing.
The family as a unit is quickly disappearing.

We must come together and
remove all bitterness.
And walk in God's love and his forgiveness!

We must appreciate one another--
in spite of our faults!
Standing together on Godly principles
brings good results!

It we insist on "going our separate ways."
We'll be sorry "one of these days!"

The family is what God has put together.
It needs to be rooted in love--
both now and forever!

HIS love needs to be the glue
that binds us as one.
Blessing every mom and dad...
daughter and son!

Do Want a Divorce Try Jesus

I knew of a wife who felt like she was alone. There were many nights she cried at her home. She was in, what I’d call a difficult situation. There really wasn’t a good explanation. Her husband just kind of “gave up” on trying. He didn’t find what he felt was “satisfying.” She was concerned for her children too… And wondered; “what am I supposed to do?” It wasn’t too long she fell into the arms of another. And neglected her duty as a Godly mother. This family began to unravel and fall apart. It has lead to many wounded hearts… This happens with many Christian families... As more become “frustrated” and unhappy! Whatever problem we have... God can deliver us! He can heal our families, because he loves us! If divorce is the kind of action that you’ve found! Won’t you trust Jesus, to change it all around? Won’t you commit your ways and thoughts to him? Won’t you fall in love with Jesus, and trust him? There’s power in the blood! I know and believe it! Won’t you take the time… And receive it? Jesus is here! He can change the bitter ugliness! By his glory, beauty and his righteousness! Please dear Lord, bring healing to your children! May your healing touch continue to build them! None of us need to feel worn out and alone! When Jesus can fill our hearts and home! By Jim Pemberton

Make Your Family FIRST

Make Your Family First! I know a person who had “a change of heart.” And very shortly his family “fell apart.” He was involved in doing “so many things.” He neglected the duty of what family brings! He became so involved in helping others… He neglected his wife and his kids’ mother! At first, he had the best of intentions… But failed to give his family any kind of attention! He was so busy, and away from home so much. It didn’t take long for him to be “out of touch.” Very soon he found his life “way off course…” And heading down the path of a divorce! He began to ask himself the question; “why?” As he began to hear all of his kids cry! Beyond all of the chaos and “chatter.” He decided that his family DOES matter! He quit doing many of the things he once did. And asked all of his family to please forgive! He’s now the kind of dad that he needs to be! And is with his family so faithfully! May this be a lesson and reminder to us all! How quickly we can get up. How quickly we can fall! May we put an effort into our family as number one! Every mom and dad! Daughter and son! Broken Relationships

So many times I hear of broken relationships.
Harsh words spoken…
And broken friendships…

Even in many of the “Christian” homes…
There’s things being done
 in the “danger zones.”

Families and friends being ripped apart…
A broken relationship… A broken heart…

I think about what is said in 1 Cor. Chapter 13 …
Do people read this scripture?
 Does it mean anything???

Perhaps if people would
put their feelings aside…
And ask the Lord to remove
all bitterness and pride.

This could be the start of
a brand new beginning.
With God on your side…
You’re sure to be winning!

Everything in our lives, God has understood.
Let’s come together.. In prayer… As we should.

May we refrain from thinking whom to blame.
Walking in the love and forgiveness
 there is in Jesus’ name.

We’re all equal before God. And our sins are many.
Those who are seeking God’s healing… Are there any?

It is Christ’ desire… Before this day is out…
To find what his way of living is all about!

Only his love can bind all
of our hearts together…
And be the “glue” that will
bind our lives forever!

Pulling the legs off Ants

The trouble with small minded, self-centred bigots, is the inability to see the truth of the wider
universe, the one that doesn’t revolve around their pathetic little selves

To be so afraid of the reality of the world that they have to hide behind the so called “power” of
their bitter words and twisted minds

to live a life in constant fear of the unknown, fear of other cultures, sexual preferences, hell even
poetry is scary for the small minded as they don’t understand it, so it must be feared and hated,
just like the blacks are hated, the gays are hated, and the “towel heads” are hated, and anyone
with a different point of view are hated

The inability to understand that others see the world in a much more beautiful light and can see
the truth in other people’s feelings and views

The world is full of beautiful people, all willing to share and enjoy others views, cultures and
generosity of soul

what terrible shallow lives to lead, that the beauty of other minds has to be shackled for them to
enjoy their feeble little selves, how great a victory, to trap such beautiful souls merely to satisfy
their own selfish needs, to feel pride in watching one more shining beacon of beauty extinguished,
leaving the world darker, bringing it ever closer to their dark little twisted minds

It just reminds me of the nasty little spoilt child pulling the legs off an ant for the fun of it

For all the sweet souls trapped in a prison of hatred and fear
Written for a female friend who survived twenty five years of this kind of marriage

Christ Death On The Cross

Christ died for me…
I didn’t deserve it!
His life for mine…
He preserved it!

His gift of salvation…
 I received it!
After reading John 3:16.
I believed it!

His hand of mercy has graciously
 been extended…
My broken life has now
 been “amended

I’m thankful for what
 Christ did for me!
His gift of love is
 plain to see!

Throughout life… Often facing a
“difficult circumstance…”
Jesus has given me hope.
 And a second chance!

I’ll try my best to live as he
 would want me to…
Without him… I have
no one else to turn to!

Thank you Jesus! For being
 my best friend!
You washed me clean…
 And took away my sin!

You’ve done what you said…
And so much more!
You’re certainly
 worth living for!

You Take God I'll Take Booze, Drugs And Women

You Take Your God…
I’ll Take My Booze, Drugs And Women!

Someone recently asked me: “Are you listenin’?”
“You take your God!” “I’ll take my booze, drugs and women!

I’ve been there! When I lived for “the pleasure of the day.”
I didn’t want to listen to what God had to say!

Whatever felt “good.” I wanted to “live it up!”
There were many things I tried, that I let “fill me up.”

But whatever I tried… No matter how
happy I wanted to be.
There was still something empty deep inside of me!

I’ve seen families break apart, over a bottle of booze.
In the end, it seemed like everyone was going to lose!

I’ve seen drugs lead people into heavy addictions.
And have seen them die from various afflictions!

I’ve seen grown man having “affairs” of various kinds.
Only to burn in lust with very “sex craved” minds!

Is this the real fun that people seem to crave?
But too often, end up in an early grave?

Will someone please tell me what going on?
Or, have many people just “have it all wrong?”

There’s a God! And he wants to make this very clear!
Today may be your party! But his judgment is near!

Everything that you try will one day fail you!
The life God offers, will never disappoint you!

He is the answer for the satisfaction you seek!
You need him in your life! Each day of the week!

Won’t you allow his love and peace into your life today!
He’ll show you how to really live
 in a brand new way!

Win Together!

Win Together!

Love saw its wedding day.
Life promises were made.
Romantic glances stayed.
Anticipation blazed.
Two lovers joined as one.
Together, dreaming…dazed.

If the love should fall,
If the heart should break,
If romance lets go,
If all hope soon dies,
Start the day anew.

Forgive the faults.
Sweep anger out.
Show selflessness.
Refresh the nest.

Together,
Prayerfully…
Compromise.

Sweet notes.
Spice life.

Win!

If the Table Were Turned

You ask of people small things to do
But it seems like it’s so hard for them to do.
You say to yourself, “If the table were turned,
I would not have done this thing to you.”
You find yourself in certain situations,
And you ask individuals for their help.
But you’re left high and dry and all alone,
And once again you are all by yourself.
You know the saying goes,
What goes around comes around the same.
But some of the things that has happened to me,
I would not want those things to happen to anyone else by name.
Sometimes, the way we react,
Others do not understand,
But if the table were turned,
I guarantee you;
You would not find another like me in the land.
We do things to other people,
And you wonder if the table was turned;
Would you get treated the way you should have been,
Or would you end up just getting burned.
I know that we are going to reap, that which we sow,
Our character has to get tested.
And that’s how people would really know;
That if the table were actually turned,
It would show the kind of reaction or blow.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO, OR HOW WOULD YOU REACT, IF THE TABLE WERE TURNED!!!

These Three Words I LOVE YOU

These Three Words…

I was thinking of something God
spoke to me the other day.
It was powerful and almost “took my breath away…”

These three words; “I love YOU!” Were clearly spoken…
I didn’t know what to do. I felt worn out and broken…

I cried and waited for something
 to change from within.
This “voice” I heard… Would I hear it again???

I looked for a bible. Any one I could find …
I had to seek an answer to settle my mind.

I opened up to the book of John and began reading…
I realized it was Jesus… That my life was needing...

I read the first few chapters including John 3:16.
About God’s love, which can make my heart clean

I was so thankful and joy came deep inside.
Bowing my head… I wept and cried.

I was sorry for the many sins I had committed...
Jesus forgave me… Now my sins are omitted!

I’m so thankful for the gift of life I’ve received.
When I came to Jesus and simply believed!!!

I am drinking of the living water
 that never shall run dry.
God has promised: “all of your needs.
 I shall supply!

Thanks be to God! Glory and praise
 I shall give him!
Won’t you give him a chance? He’s here to listen!

He alone can do what no other power could ever do!
The words he speaks to everyone are; “I LOVE YOU!”

Listen to his words… It’s a heart-felt invitation…
You too can receive his mercy and salvation!

A Gravitational Pull

Stone upon the water front/
Next to the cashmere pillow,
The pier near the gallow shore/
A man began to speak,

Within this land there shall be no way out accept I tax,
This gravitational pull may bring some down,
Yet if you stay and listen very carefully/
You will live through this time and be very happy !

Many of you have become lazy in the manner of laws,
A decree will be summoned to let us know/
The waiting may be hard to comprehend,
Yet within time you can grow to depend/

The fat of the land,
Let this man take you by the hand/
There can be no further excuses or escape,
The way will depend upon the hearer's !

I Pray For My Children

I Pray For My Children… As a parent, having raised my kids.. I wanted to be a good example in how I lived. Disappointments and failures… I’ve had my share! I still love them and will always care! I didn’t want to “run away,” like many do… I want to be there to tell them; “I love you!” I did my best to give them a God given dedication… And to help them in a Bible based education. Now the years have passed and my kids are grown… Very soon, they’ll all be out of the home. I pray for God’s blessing in their days ahead. May the Bible be their source of “daily bread.” I pray that the Lord will guide their every step… May a love for God in their hearts be kept! Lord, please keep them from evil and harm… And keep them safe and secure in your arms! I pray that one day in heaven, I will see.. All my kids with me... For eternity! By Jim Pemberton

Is Your Life Running On EMPTY

Is your life running
on empty fumes?
Are the adversities and stress
 of life being consumed?

Any zeal and passion for God
 may be in the past…
You wonder; “How long is life
 going to last???”

Perhaps you feel like your
 anchor’s “been lost at sea…”
And ask; “Lord…
Why is this happening to me?”

Things in life often
 catch us “unaware…”
You may ask; “does anyone
 out there really care?”

There is someone who
 can help you along!
In Jesus’ arms of mercy
 is where you belong!

He walked this earth and
calmed the sea of Galilee…
He’ll calm the storms
of life for you and me!

Won’t you give him a chance...
 To calm your fears?
And allow his love to
 wipe away any tears?

He’ll bring peace to a
 hopeless situation…
All you need to do…
Is to give him an invitation…

The choice is yours…
It’s your decision to make!
Won’t you do it now? Before it’s too late???

Jesus The BEST Ingredient For LIFE

The Best "Ingredient!"

While many in life seek
 what is "convenient."
They often are missing
 a major "ingredient..."

This ingredient forms
 what "makes up the dough..."
I'm talking about what can
truly enrich your soul!

This ingredient will make your
 life 100% complete.
And will bring wholeness from
your head to your feet...

It's Jesus! The most important
 part of "life's recipe..."
Without him. All is lost. Can't you see???

His love is the bond that can put
your life back together...
His presence is here now...
 And can be yours forever!

Allow him to bring the sweetness
 that only he can bring...
He alone is our righteousness...
 Our everything!

Only he can bring the joy
you desparately seek.
And will bless your life.
Each day of the week!

He's the "ingredient" to life...
That you've been looking for!.
He can supply your every need.
  And so much more!

He truly is what makes
the "perfect blend."
And is here right now. Why not let him in???

Wounded

Lonely and alone, single now with the children my only comfort and yet a reminder.
The divorce a tug of war between me and her for what once was mine, I thought.
My heart lies languid and still a deep dark mountain pool, without flutter or ripples.
The waves and white water emotions will come flooding in after dark.
Our little ones must not glimpse in me the ugly cuts and scars of your infidelity.
I force myself into our once cramped now too empty bed.
I can now cry quietly in solitude for love and affection like a wounded animal.
I silently scream to be touched, to be reached for, and to be desired.
I miss you I still love you I would forgive you I still want you, Joe where are you?
I hide in the shadows of my despair, dream of killing her, torturing painfully and slowly?
I’ll be gouging out her eyes with one degrading glare a smile and a snicker.
I’m gutting her slowly with only the nightly beckoning of my little finger.
A tryst in the Sykes parking lot in the back seat of our car inches from your son’s safety seat.
Pass a silent gift a potential killer and ruin her womanhood and child bearing potential, almost taking her life.
Rip apart her family with whispered AM phone calls and PM come hither stares.
Strip her self-esteem and ego depositing them without remorse in a blender set to puree.
I would do to her all that she has done to me and more, I am lonely, alone, single now and only them to thank.

                                                                 Summer Gratias

After All These Years Still IN LOVE

Still In Love...
My son came to me with
a question on his mind.
I said; “Not now son—
I just don't have the time.”

He said, “Daddy—are you still
in love with Mommy?”
“Do you love her like you did when
I was in her tummy?”

My eyes choked with tears;
“Yes son I really do!”
“I'm in love with her...
and I appreciate you.”

“Daddy—will you always love
me like you do mom?”
“Yes my son—my love for you
will always belong.”

I looked down and much
to my surprise.
There were tears running
down my sons's eyes.

He came running to me with
his arms wide open.
“Thank you daddy” were his words spoken.

I picked him up and gave
him a great big hug.
As I let him down, on my shirt I felt a tug.

His little arm reached up to grab my hand.
I knew that what I said,
he began to understand.

I love his mom so much—my wonderful wife.
She's been such a blessing-
a great part of my life!

Are You Having An Affair

I don't think many people
are aware...
of the dangers of having
"an affair."

Adultery begins with a lustful thought
captured in the mind.
It's been part of sins's curse,
 since the beginning of time.

Many aren't sure how they're
 going to react.
Until the day they're caught
 in an adulterous act.

By this time... they're love for
 their spouse is broken.
When the words; "I love you"...
 to another... are spoken.

Soon... their home become
"turned around" and divided.
As their commitment and loyalty
become undecided.

The family soon become "
one huge mess..."
As the love "for another person"
becomes "obsessed."

You may find yourself in this
kind of situation.
Perhaps you're in
 "deep desparation."

Run from this person as
fast as your can!
Come to the cross and
reach for Jesus' hand!

Confess your sin to your spouse
 and call on Jesus' name.
You have only yourself...
no one else... to blame.

Allow Jesus to 100% be
the Lord of your life.
As you brings you together
as husband and wife!

Let him restore your marriage
and make it complete.
Come to him now and
lay your sin at his feet.

His love in your marriage is
forever and binding!
His commitment to you is
a love worth finding!

Let's Keep Marriage STRONG

Let’s Keep Marriage Strong! In marriages, we often fail to Be take time to communicate… To be honest with each other… Truthful and straight! In each other… We need to look for the BEST! And not treat each other like a “pest.” We don’t need to speak words that’ll cause harm… But to love each other with an opened arm! May we serve one another with compassion and love! Knowing we were brought together from God above! Just think about the first day you were wed… Remember the words; “I love you” were often said! We need to keep marriages together no matter the cost! Are You Discouraged Feel Like Giving Up Without A Job

It was me that my
savior chose...
He’s supplied all my needs—
my food and clothes.

He was there when I was
laid off from work.
Satan was saying,
“you’re no good—just a jerk.”

I admit; “my accomplishments—
I do not boast.”
But I do exalt the Father,
the Son and Holy Ghost.

If not for God’s love,
I’d be dead, this I know.
This is the reason why
I love him so!

He’s done so much for me—
it’s hard to express.
The privilege of being God’s son—
I am so blessed!

I was a clay jar all broken apart,
But the potter put me together
from his heart.

The glue he used was his
love for me,
That’s why I’m happy
and set free!

This I know and hope
you’ll understand,
He’ll do the same for you—
just reach out your hand!

Dear Mom And Dad

Are you the same mom and dad
I used to know?
Since I left the house…
many years ago?

Both who carefully taught
me the Christian ways.
Don’t seem to care
what the Bible says.

You were there to give correction
with a belt in hand.
But now are doing things…
 I don’t understand.

What happened to the father’s love
I once seen in your eyes?
You’ve somehow twisted God's
truth into corruptible lies.

You’ve broken my heart
dear mom and dad.
I’m praying for you…
but my heart grows sad.

Please… Just this once…
 Listen to me!
I want the Godly parents
you used to be!

Please make me proud of the
parents I once knew.
And know that I really love
and appreciate you.

You’re my mom and dad…
You’re the world to me.
And you’re special to God...
It’s plain to see!

May your days be blessed and
God’s presence fill your soul.
I will always love you no matter
where you may go.

Thanks mom and dad for reading
this “special letter.”
With God on board…
Things will get better!

once longing love

This time your eyes don't seem to bare the familiar strength
you been staying away from me you've gone to every length
i did every thing i could to lend a helping hand
now your broken and its hard to under stand
this was no ones plan love makes harsh demands

even though i can see your heart is truly broke
when i tried to hold you i was just a joke
now things are changed nothing like before
i have become something so much more
a ache still nags deep within my core a life left in ashes spread upon the floor

i wonder where you ll go who you ll see
i wonder if the only thing you think about is me
the empty hole of things left unsaid
a wall of noise stands strong in my head
some how this feel like I'm dead but I'm watching in you go instead

how many times could i try to be the one you needed but i know it was the ego i feed ed
a callous soul without any notion of truth hope or devotion
farewell my once longing love

BLUE FEELINGS

Hello my darling, how do you do?
I have a question pertaining to you.
Why does your heart seems to be true
But your actions tend to make me feel blue?
I think we need to talk all this through
But I’ll do the talking instead of you.
When you stay out late, what is it you do?
The things that I’ve heard, I hope there not true!
Don’t say anything until I am through.
I’m tired of feeling this feeling so blue
So I figured out what I’m going to do.
For now on I’m going to go out with you.
I’ll see for myself if all of its true
And I swear if it is you'll be more than blue.
Now you may talk because I am through.

Hello my darling, how do you do?
I have a question that best fits to you.
You know that my heart has always been true
So there is no reason that you should feel blue.
And yes I agree we should talk this through
But now I’m talking instead of you.
What is it that you think that I do?
How can you think what you've heard can be true?
You had your turn so wait tell I’m through.
I’m sorry that you're feeling so blue.
If that’s what it is that you want to do
That’s fine; I’d love to go out with you.
The gossip and rumors you'll see are not true.
Why would you believe them and make yourself blue?
This is my question so please think it through.

My Father's Seven Days

My Father's Seven Days

“Come” I climbed up on my Father’s lap…
“Sleep” he said; but, I didn’t want a nap…

I looked up at him and He gave me a smile..
I decided then I wanted to stay awhile…

“Tell me about what was created” I asked then grinned…
As I sat up eagerly so proper and prim..…..

“Okay” He chucked, but his laugh was uncontrollable..
I wanted to know all so, I got very comfortable….

“The first day Father created was the day and the night…
Then I asked “that’s called morning and evening right?“

“Yes, and on the second day was earth and heavens…
I impatiently asked “what was number seven“?

“On the third day came plants, flowers and things good to eat”!
Then Father smiled tenderly and stated “even the trees!”

“Then on the forth came the sun, moon and stars ..”
I pointed on a special “ night sky and shouted “there is Mars!”

“On the fifth day was the fish and the birds”
I laughed and said “that’s the funniest thing I’ve heard”

“On the sixth day was people and animals to fill the land!”
I was feeling happily tired so I grabbed for His hand….

“How about the seventh day”? I asked then yawned with a smile…
“Later“, he said; you rest for now my precious little child”.

God Can Bring Healing To YOur Marriage

God Can Heal Your Marriage!

How often have you told your
wife you love her?
Only to be caught in the arms of “another…”

The vows that were made...
 The promises given.
God gives a chance for you
to be forgiven!

A husband and wife are sanctioned
 by our Lord…
But often end up in anger,
 bitterness and discord.

Jesus can mend the hurt and remove the pain.
And bring a healing to
 any guilt or shame.

He loves you with a Godly
jealousy that is evident.
Into your heart and life…
He longs to be a resident.

Won’t you allow his power
 to bring a restoration?
Before your family is heading
 toward a separation?

Let his words of hope and
 love be the glue.
And bring a new meaning to the words;
 “I LOVE YOU!”

May you be “caught up” in your
heavenly father’s embrace.
And allow his love
to put a smile on your face!

What God has joined as one.
 He can keep together.
Won’t you allow him to bless
 your marriage forever?

Moving On

Today I let go…..
Been in this situation to long so….
I’m letting you Go
Life has been a roller coaster and I don’t want to Ride
I feel the pain so deep and apparent I think I want to Hide
Not from shame… Life has a way of making us live thru things
I mean I was your wife, ain’t that what the ring means…..
I have to let you go though I now understand my worth
Got to focus on me now, trying to get rid of the hurt
So….. Today I let go and I let God handle all the rest
I have lived for you as long as I could, even gave you my best
But…. Today I let go!

Are You Being Used By God

I met someone in a very
difficult situation.
I kept walking and gave
 "no explanation."

I was then asked a very
 direct question:
"I thought you said that
you're a Christian!"

I began to feel a conviction
within my soul.
"Which direction should I take"
I didn't know.

Either keep walking, or stop
to help this person in need.
"I suppose just this once...
I'll do a generous deed."

I reached out and loved
him in Jesus' name.
And told him that it was for his life
that our savior came.

My heart was broken as I heard
all he had gone through.
I was speechless. I really didn't
 know what to do.

I decided to buy him a cup of coffee
and a sandwich as well.
And shared that Jesus loves
him more than words can tell.

He thanked me and said,
"I'm so glad that you care."
I then was able to lead him
into a salvation prayer.

We talked more about God before
we each went our own way.
But I'll never forget what happened
that particular day.

It helped me begin to
realize and truly see...
How God wants so much to use
someone like me...

I Am Me

He went away,
She was alone,
You came into the picture;
Because she chose you.

A new life was good,
Then change came,
And there I was in a frame;
Uplifted, upheld.

First I was unaware,
I was just a child,
A slave became I;
The pain was real.

You over looked,
As always you did not care,
I was scared;
Felt so alone.

Choices had to be made,
But what road would I take?
So unsure, broken, taken;
No time to waste.

He came along,
Took me in,
You hated him;
I hated you.

Didn’t know I could,
Handle it on my own,
Didn’t know I was stronger;
Than “ do as I’m told “

Forced to be.
Who I never wanted to be,
He brought out in me a strength;
Renewed, happiness is real.

You could just die,
I wont let you ruin me,
I’m going to be;
More than I knew I could be.

You will see,
Away from you,
A part from pain;
I am me!

This brokeness inside will heal,
Their wont be anymore pain,
That tragedy of my past;
The tears, the pain, hurt and fear.

He saw through them all,
He didn’t let me fall,
He reminded me of who I am;
When you didn’t care.

I was scared,
Felt threatened,
Full of regret;
But he seen me.

He wont forsake me in my weakness,
His love is written on my heart,
I’m going to be over you;
The hate will fade.

I will be stronger,
My heart will beat longer,
I have the rest of my life;
I’m going to be me!

You can’t take my future,
Or draw the curtains anymore,
No more ball and chain;
I am free.

I have pulled the plug,
Down the drain you go,
I’m seeing the world through new eyes;
The sun is shining again.

I’m not scared anymore,
I’m not afraid to reach out,
A voice in the wilderness;
Crying out was I.

He had an ear,
He heard me,
When no one else could;
He saw Me!

Jesus Is A True Foundation For Your Marriage

As a child, in church, I was raised.
Taught the Bible
and the Christian ways.

At an early age, I invited Jesus in.
Learning what was right
and what was sin.

I looked up to my parents--I really did.
I was so proud of the
way they lived.

They were the world to me--
I was so proud.
Then one day there appeared
a very dark cloud.

This cloud hovered over my parents,
whom I loved so dear.
Soon the ugly face of divorce
was soon to appear.

I prayed for them-
I desperately tried.
The many nights I lay
awake and cried.

How could this happen?
 I often wondered.
To have a wonderful marriage
so utterly plundered.

A sin crept in--and was
allowed to prevail.
Soon this marriage
began to fail.

Let this be a warning to me and to all.
Playing with sin will cause us to fall.

If your life is heading
toward a separation,
build your marriage on Jesus--
a true foundation!

He can Do what no
other power can do...
And give NEW meaning
to the words; "I LOVE YOU!"

Childbirth

You have consummated the dream
upon its fertile mind have given birth
your Sons are to be Kings for ruling in the earth
like life I wish that we would never part
our connection like the beating of one heart

because I have believed your heart was true
therefore did I give mine permanently to you
You have shown me a love of Sons of Men
not of his clothing but what he hides within
you didst reveal this by your own right hand
did speak soft words until we could understand
You saw not my skin or what one outside see
you gazed within looked upon the real me

Enfolded in your arms just like a child
your forgiveness and tender mercies mild
where you hold us until each of us can hear
understand completely the Words spoken in our ear

Love should have been the first thing
you met when you were born
the warm embrace which followed
when from wombs comfort torn

Cradle me my Beloved in your arms
hold at a distance all of my alarms
I want to walk with you
until there's endless days
seek the crown of creation
and understanding of his ways
pleasant are the days I spend with you
my Lord , just master of his house
to you my one only
is my heart espoused
Like a mighty warrior you have mounted up
the valor of your deeds have filled my every cup
without you near my heart is empty still
but cries with its distress
until with you my life instill

As bird you gathered us beneath your wings
your endearment descends like mountains streams
there within the wilderness were we broken
until we received knowledge of the promise spoken

I'm Trying To Be The Kind Of Dad God Wants Me To Be

I remember reading the Bible to my son.
However... What a mess
 I have become!

My children were once proud of their dad.
Now, they are embarassed and sad.

I once lived a godly life. I really did!
Just look at me now.
 And how I live!

Things in life I once called "evil," and "sin."
Are causing me to stumble, once again.

God's word I once held ,
as a "priceless treasure."
I have traded in for whatever
 gives me "pleasure."

What kind of father am I
really going to be?
What kind of example will
 my family find in me?

Will I grow stubborn to God
 as I grow in age?
Neglecting his way of living...
With anger and rage?

I need HIM to bring peace
 to my troubled soul.
I ask you Jesus to cleanse
and make me whole.

Restore unto me the
joy of my salvation.
By your blood,... I can now be
 a new creation!

Words alone cannot adequetly express.
This family God has given to me.
 I am so blessed!

Fight

I've got the headphones in my ears, but nothing's playing.
I've got you on my mind, but you're not here.
I've got you in my heart, but I can't feel you.
You're always right there, but yet, you're never near.

Our song is playing, but I can't hear the music.
I'm just waiting for you to walk through that door.
I said, well shouted, some things I didn't mean.
We argued, but you've always come back home before.

Now, I'm curled up in your t-shirt on the big chair.
Now, my stubborn nature has kicked into gear.
Now, I don't really want to see your face.
Now, when you come home, I hope you feel fear.

I hope your heart starts racing as fast as your thoughts.
I hope you're nervous because you may have ran that red light.
You always love to make me mad, because you think I'm cute angry.
Then again, you're always afraid to lose me when we fight.

Your headlights flicker on the wall across from me.
Despite myself, I'm not angry anymore.
In fact, my heart won't stop racing, and I actually have butterflies.
All of this in anticipation of you walking through the door.

I keep my hardened, stubborn composure.
Until I see you come in with your tail between your legs and your puppy face.
One look and all of my stubborn attitude fades,
And I can't even remember why we were fighting in the first place.

Charity

If I had the ability to comprehend,
All languages around the earth and;
Have not charity for my neighbors,
What good would I be worth?
If my faith could move the highest of mountains,
Also all my mysteries I understood;
If I show no love to those who “despitefully” use me,
I would not be any good.
If I used all my possessions,
To help the unfortunate (not expecting gain);
Gave my body without sincerity,
Then my work would be in vain.
Authentic love is to sacrifice,
Is not jealous and does not boast;
Since it truly comes from the heart,
It will extend from coast to coast.
Does not enjoy unlawful doings,
Loves to hear spiritual facts;
Not always aiming to please ones self,
Endures all short coming acts.
For the mysteries and philosophies,
That we presently comprehend;
Along with all the knowledge and understanding,
It will come to an end.
For the knowledge we know is part,
Moreover, the mysteries we understand are some;
Yet when the “TRUMP OF GOD” has sounded,
Only then shall we know that the “PERFECT” has come.
When I was young I was immature,
I thought I knew all things;
Still when Jesus became Lord of my life,
I put away those immature things.
Think on these things and endure without yielding,
These words of inspiration and clarity;
However, with the gifts, Charity, Hope and Faith,
Remember, the greatest is Charity.

I Once Knew A Man Who Did Things His Family Didn't Understand

I once Knew a man who thought
 "things would get better."
He had children and a wife.
  But soon left her.

He met someone who "captivated his eyes."
Having an appetite for her "beauty." and lies.

His wife loved God and the
kids with all of her heart.
"How could this happen?"
This question "ripped her apart."

As a family. They went to church...
 and did their "Sunday best."
How could this "happy" family
 turn into such a mess?

Temptation can happen to anyone.
 Rich or poor.
Be careful wha you allow to
 enter your heart's door.

Regardless of whether you've been
 a "Christian" for "20 years..."
One shameful act can cause
 heartache and tears.

What God has given to you...
  Let no one take way.
No matter what others think...
 Or what they might say.

Stay true to God. You'll be
glad you did!
His love and joy will bless you
 each day that you live!

This saviour is HERE NOW!
And will never leave you alone!
Allow HIM to bring peace and
 love to your troubled home!

The Daughter

Today I lived my life with ghosts
Both living and dead
Your face, their face
Slipped through my fingers and fell to the floor
Hundreds of pictures of you and them
Hundreds of moments and moments and moments
Too numerous and caught in that web of time
Dangled on a cobweb so thin, so fine
It could break but does not snap
And lasts and lasts
And holds and holds
All there, suspended in that instant
Before falling to the floor,
Or in the box of memories. To be kept.

So where do you reside, in the bin or the box?
Where do you live for future’s worth?
Will you be cut adrift or salvaged in those stepping stones to the past.

And yet, she still picked up those photos of you
Pained and dulled
Still confused and stabbed by what has happened over time.
She saw your face and paused. Reflected.
She then gently collected up those images of you and me
And saved them in the box
One day for all to see in times to come.
She decided not to put you in the bin.
Unlike me.

She rescued her childhood.
Put down a marker in the sand
And said stop to the sea
To the waves and waves
That break over time and pain
Saved you from the blankless pile of Venice and Florence
And Christmas and beaches and Barbies and laughter
And with a simple dignity
She gave you back some worth.

Are YOU Having An Affair

God Gave Me His Love... I Wouldn’t Share It!

God gave me his love. I wouldn’t share it!
The guilt I feel now.
I can’t hardly bear it!

He gave to me blessings and a peace within.
He gave to me joy and a chance to be his friend!

He asked that I give to others what I received.
His life for others is what he’s achieved!

When God needed me, I tried to run and hide.
I was filled with selfishness and pride!

Though I had accepted him
and was born again…
I wasn’t interested in
reaching souls for HIM!

Deep inside me there was a voice
 that began to stir!
Christ helped me to have
  Victory so true and secure!

He helped me with his words of love spoken…
I wanted to be his vessel! Not just a “token.”

His spirit is with me each day that I live!
I want others to know of his power to forgive!

Won’t you share the love that he’s given to you?
Won’t you give back to the one
 who truly LOVES YOU?

His love is everlasting and hard to contain!
You’ll find all that you need
when you call on his name!

Find a way

Is it my turn to wish,
That you were here with me?
What did I learn from this?
When I look back and see...
The few times that I could,
Have held your hand to talk,
When I knew that we should,
I chose to skip that walk...
Could I have done worse?
Than not consider how you feel,
But since I was your first,
I thought that you would heal...
So that we could go back,
To where it all begins,
And avoid the many traps,
Which brought us to and end...?
Though you gave me the signs,
That I chose to ignore,
Its now my turn to find,
A way to love you more...

Dave Percell

Dave Percell

Dave Percell was many men,
Many of them were meaningless.
Five faces we will talk of here,
Some of kindness, some of fear.

The first I will attest to
Rises with the morning dew:
With ruffled hair and smiling fun,
Dave Percell says, “Morning son!”

He tarries late and leaves for work
Fighting traffic in New York...
This face curses, absent mirth.
Just in time, he reaches the yard,
Steel beams rising, like windows barred.
Blue-collar friends Dave Percell has,
They leer at woman as they pass.

Saturday finds Percell’s son gone.
At a friend’s ‘till morrow’s dawn.
Dave's at home with the boy’s mom.
Beers are out, along with wine,
They strike a rhythm in no time.

Gentle he starts, as a rule,
But soon, his movements are cruel.
He gets angry and chokes,
Savoring the screams the action evokes.
Like a serpent Dave does strike,
Laughing at her screams of fright.

On Sunday, the sun does not rise
Behind a sea of clouds lies the bright prize.
The two souls awaken early,
His hair straight and hers so curly.
Dave Percell?s wife has a bruised face.
She puts on make-up, like a race.
Dave smiles, ignorant her pain.
They crawl to the car, through the rain.

At church early on that day,
They heard their good pastor say,
“You should never hate, rather pray.”
At that, Dave?s wife turned her head
And to God she silently said,
“LORD, take not Dave, but me instead.”

So now you know, the story’s been told
One forever new, yet ages old.
You’ve heard of Dave Percell and his life,
You’ve learned about his lovely wife,
You’ve listened to their marital strife.

“What did happen,” you may rightly wonder,
Well, just listen to the heavens’ broiling thunder,
You’ll sense the scrutiny Dave Percell’s under
You’ll know his fate, on Judgment Day... asunder.

King David And Bathsheba

There was a great king,
whom did sin and fall.
David. When from his balcony,
Bathsheba he saw.

In his heart... he sinned as
lust was conceived.
A plan of muder in his heart
was soon received.

This sin led to another
and had soon willed.
To have Bathsheba's
husband to be killed.

The consequences of his sin
 was later explained.
His first born died, and his
son Absalom was slain.

Once his sin was conceived,
it brought lust and soon death.
Sin is always this way--
until you take your last breath.

Think of the consequences...
and flee tempation FAST.
Enjoy a victory and blessings
from God that will last!

Locked Away

My husbands actions locked with my soul and remained at our frount door,
He reenlisted again and had left for the Afganistan war.
My eyes became swollen the tears begain to pour.
Then all of a sudden, for some reason, one day I wasn't mad at him anymore.
I inwardly waited to hear his keys rattle and his duffle hit the floor.

A Petty Argument

Honey, just once, would you keep your mouth shut?
Why? Your mouth is the source of all our problems
That’s why. Oh, now you’re calling me a nut!
When you’re not calling me names you condemn
Everything I do or say. What’s with you?
Oh! Here come the tears! Turn them off my dear.
They always seem to appear when the two
Of us reach an impasse, crocodile tears!
Look hon, this is a silly argument
Over what I said at the beginning
I had no idea it would augment
Into this sideshow that’s never-ending
I guess I said some awful things untrue
I had no right to say those things to you.

Do You Hold A Grudge

I knew of a "brother" who held a grudge.
From his position. He wouldn't "budge."

When asked why he held this...
 against a certain person.
Having nothing to do with him.
 He was certain!

The reason for this grudge...
Is probably "silly" to many.
When asked for a good reason.
There wasn't any.

He said; "I don't hold any
kind of unforgiveness."
"What I do..." "It's none of your business!"

"I don't hold a grudge and I
 want to be clear!"
"There are some people...
 I wish weren't here!"

Are there people in your life
who've been "shut out.?"
"Is this what being Christ' example is all about?

Living for Christ is not about who we "avoid."
If a life of Godliness is to be fully enjoyed.

We can make "excuses" to stay
 away from somebody.
This could be your brother.
Neighbor. Or anybody.

Christ gave his life and wants
us to follow his rules...
He knows all about us.... And is never fooled!

May your life be filled with
compassion for every soul.
In doing this... You'll be made
complete and whole!

Discover true freedom. Leave any
"grudges" in the past.
Enjoy true victory in Christ...
And a peace that 'll last!

Do You Have Wandering Eyes

Have you been captured by
the wandering of your eyes?
Things you once held as true and
wholesome-- you now despise.

Have you been “captured”
by an outward beauty?
Thereby neglecting your
God-given duty?

Has your soul been consumed with
sin's all-consuming fire?
With an uncontrollable appetitie
and an ungodly desire.

In your heart, is the Holy Spirit
an uninvited guest?
No wonder your life is in
such a huge mess!

Your head is filled with fantasies
and temptations of every kind.
You pretend on the outside. But you've
lost control of your mind.

For your failures—you have
only yourself to blame.
Now's the time to repent—
and call on Jesus' name!

Though your sins be red as scarlet--
they can be washed as white as snow.
Only Jesus can be true peace and
satisfaction to your troubled soul.

Have Things In LIfe Taken The Wrong Turn

Maybe things in your life have
taken "the wrong turn,"
Life is passing you by—-
you're not concerned...

Things that were important...
are important no more,
Life seems so dull and dry-rather a bore.

Your love for your friends
and family is gone,
Almost everything you do...
it's all wrong!!!

Your life seems to be like a ship
lost out on the sea,
You cry, "Lord-what is happening to me???"

Jesus loves you so much...
he really does understand,
Waiting there to pick you up-
with a special loving hand.

He'll replace your loneliness
witha satisfying love,
Putting your life back together
 gently, like a gentle dove...

His perfect love will give you
a peace of mind,
So call on him now---
NOW is the time!

A Father With A Heart Divided

A Divided Heart... I know of a father who had a "divided heart." Within a few years, his family "fell apart." When his heart changed... I remember when. Here's when, I believe, it all began... He started to help others that were in need. Sharing their problems... his heart would "bleed." What started out with the "best of intentions." Giving others much of his focus and attention. Very little time he spent with his family at home. Many days and nights, his wife felt "all alone." "What happened to the one who "promised his love?" She'd ask for "time alone" ...and "he'd give her a shove." He began to look at others' kids as "his kids" too. Trying to be a "father to all" ... by the acts he would do. Neglecting his God-given duty as high priest of the house. He would confide to a "pretty lady" in a nice blouse. His family tried to warn him of the dangers ahead, His wife would cry each night she went to bed. HIs family did that for so many years, he held so dear. Each went their separte ways... as any love dissappeared. This heartbreaking story made the heavenly father sad. By the divided heart... of the one... many knew as "dad." May this be a challenge both to me and to you. That our heart remain loyal, committed and true! By Jim Pemberton

A Hard Mix Between Heaven and Hell

There is a place where few have been
No beginning and no end
A place where I am prepared to go
They say you reap what you sow
I have done my share of very bad things
I flew home to piss on my ex-wife\'s grave
Drinking, smoking, lots of lust and sin has helped me come out of my shell
I am experiencing a hard mix between Heaven and Hell
Practicing Witch Craft one step away from a human sacrifice
I could feel the blood in my veins turn to ice
My life has been a twist and turn affair, never a straight line
If I were to ask you are you dark or do you shine
Nobody is holier than thou, so stop the fake front
Come clean with the bad things you have done
Do a gut check and you will be able to tell
How potent is your shot will be of Heaven and Hell
There is chess board in everyone\'s life and we are all pawns
Just which side is your bread buttered on
Do gooders, most are sinners behind closed doors
Money is the root of all evil, yet churches ask people to give more
A percentage of your income to make the preachers rich
They have no interest in you, yet you are one dollar away from sleeping in a ditch
Sinners openly display their intentions in life
Wife cheats on husband because husband cheats on wife
Go ahead and pray for forgiveness for all your daily sins, another trip to the well
Here, the bar is open, here's your hard mix of Heaven and Hell
Catholic Priests molesting alter boys, they will definitely face the heat
Is there forgiveness for them to reach their Heavenly retreat
Where do you fit in with the grand master scheme of things, no one can tell
Everyone will be able to place their order for their shot of Heaven and Hell

Being The Kind Of Dad God Wants Me To Be

I remember reading the Bible to my son.
However... What a mess
 I have become!

My children were once proud of their dad.
Now, they are embarassed and sad.

I once lived a godly life. I really did!
Just look at me now.
 And how I live!

Things in life I once called "evil," and "sin."
Are causing me to stumble, once again.

God's word I once held ,
as a "priceless treasure."
I have traded in for whatever
 gives me "pleasure."

What kind of father am I
really going to be?
What kind of example will
 my family find in me?

Will I grow stubborn to God
 as I grow in age?
Neglecting his way of living...
With anger and rage?

I need HIM to bring peace
 to my troubled soul.
I ask you Jesus to cleanse
and make me whole.

Restore unto me the
joy of my salvation.
By your blood,... I can now be
 a new creation!

Words alone cannot adequetly express.
This family God has given to me.
 I am so blessed!

Those Who Have Wronged Us

Those Who Have Wronged Us… I had a loved one whom I thought loved me. I couldn’t understand how she would treat me! I thought she was a Christian. She said she was. She told me; “I don’t like you just because!” As the years went by, just the way she lived. I wanted nothing to do with her! Much less forgive! The things she did were hurtful and caused pain. I didn’t even want to mention her name! Years later, I felt the lord tugging at my heart! God wanted a healing… And a fresh start I wanted an apology… It never took place. I felt the Lord asking me for more of his grace. You see, after all these years, with no words spoken. I heard of some news, and my heart was broken. I found out this person was soon at death’s door. When I found out… I fell to the floor! I cried “Father in heaven will you please forgive me? I didn’t love her, in spite of how she would treat me!” The opportunity I had was a chance for forgiving. Now she hasn’t much longer that she’ll be living! May this be a warning and a “wake up” reminder! To those who wronged us, we need to be kinder! Christ’ love needs to break the “barriers” down. So forgiveness in our lives will certainly be found! By Jim Pemberton

If I Say I Love God But Don't Listen

If I say that I love God, yet refuse to listen… Then his blessings in my life is what I’ll be missin.’ If I say that I love him and am sincere… I’ll not be afraid. Because he’s always here! If I say that I believe his word to be true… Then I ought to live the way Christ wants me to! If I say that I will daily give him 100 percent… Then I need to humble myself and to him… Repent! If I say that I will seek to serve one another… Then I need to be there for my sister and brother! If I say that Jesus is truly the Lord of my life… Then he will bless me and my kids and wife… Why not say; “I invite you Jesus to come inside to live.?” “I accept your blood and power to forgive!” Won’t you say; “Here I am Jesus...” “Here I come!” And experience the life-changing power of God’s risen son! Christ says; “You that have burdens...” “I will give you rest…” Living for Jesus is always the BEST! By Jim Pemberton

Come To The Lord

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord…
All of the lands!
Come together in one voice…
  And clap your hands!

Serve the Lord with gladness.
Come into his presence with singing!
Delight yourself in him.
With praise and thanksgiving!

Know that the Lord is God.
And he made us all!
We are his people. His sheep.
 Let’s answer his call!

As we enter his gates with thanks
 and his courts with praise…
Let’s honor and serve him
 all of our days!

The Lord is very good.
His mercy is everlasting.
Let’s honor him today...
In prayer and fasting!

His truth shall be known,
 throughout the generations!
It’s only in him where we
 can find our salvation…

The Lord is God…
His grace has no limit.
Come and worship him now…
In both body and spirit…

His love has no boundary.
His grace is freely givin’.
Accept his gift of love...
 Be cleansed and forgiven!

Sunset Dinner

[///
I would tell him,
but he hunkered
down in his bunker,
debriefing
with one-thousand-caliber cans of beer.
He rationed himself,
confidentially,
to every Bud.
Every friend
poured from their head-wound
deafening - distinctive - gurgles.
	                               ///]

(…
I dine at a wide clay table -
face the gold-red wall.
I serve myself a setting yolk -
season it with salt.
I eat my meal, and quickly-
forbid the air its warmth.
I stuff myself with sunset;
starved in bed, I bawl
as dusk, so kind, wraps leftovers
for tomorrow evening’s gall
                                         …)

He (like the day) has set;
sunsets taste – different –

The Hardest Question

Why?

Thats the hardest question.

When is easier. It was after.

After the baby, cacooned safely

inside of me. After she died.

Why?

Again its too hard.

Who is easier. It was him.

He who promised to love me,

for better and for worse.

Why?

That question's too difficult

Where is easier. In our room.

Our room with the cot in the

corner. It was for her.

Why?

Is still don't know.

What is easier. It was a knife.

A knife which slit, cut and stabbed

at my throat and stomach.

Why?

I can't remember!

How is easier. With a casual

indifference. The anger had

dissapeared.

Why?

Because of me. Because I killed

our baby girl. Not born, never born.

The pills had taken her.

Like he took me.

Gone for good?

my heart twitched as if i knew he was the one
or was it the fact that he'd packed and run
our love was inspiring and absolutely amazing
so why did he cut himself out was he just fazing
i don't understand i don't think i will
i just wish he could be the one to hold me still
life is full of confusing ups and downs
and certain levels and crazy rounds
so maybe we just had failed
so i wrote a letter and got it mailed
and then i had the urge so i just smiled
but then he got the papers and had them filed
how could he,i wondered for hours
but then he sent me some flowers
he told me the papers were ripped and gone
i looked to his side and his bags were on the front lawn
i love you his mouth spilled out
and that's true no doubt

30 years together today
Sure does not seem that long
But time flies when your having fun
Its not always roses and sunshine
I guess its what you make it , that counts
You sometimes struggle with obstacles
that get in your way
Together you greet the challenges of a marriage
The tumbles you meet get easier together
Times are sometimes rough , but being a family
helps out
You look to the positive end of the stick and you survive

Blood on Emeralds

The blood of Emeralds
In Northern Ireland's streets
Where sides detest
Victims they seek

Religious divide
Neighbours slain
For the life of me
What to gain

These troubled times
Historic sores
Deep rooted pasts
Now to the fore

IRA
UDA
Many guns came out to play
Both sides fell, as they murderously slay
During the week, even Sundays

The Belfast agreement of 1998
This Land of Emeralds, in peaceful state
Neighbours safe to talk again
Never allow the blood, on the Emeralds stain

" Dedicated to all Ireland - The Emerald Isle "

Help Someone

Life is what you make of it.
You can be in the arena or in the sidelines to sit.

Help a fellow brother, let them know you care.
Bring hope for someone that is in despair.

Give the shirt off your back and give to the poor.
Smile at someone and make their spirits soar.

Start a conversation and share a thought.
Let someone know that friendship is what you brought.

Stay with someone awhile, that has a broken heart.
Help them mend the pieces that unknowingly, fell apart.

Bond with someone who wants life to end.
Stay and listen and be that loving friend.

Pray for the heavy laden, chained to their past.
Let them know, Christ died for them, and their sins he has cast.

Forgive others that have done you wrong.
Forgive yourself and your heart will be strong.

Enjoy life and find happiness in the little things.
Try to think positive, no matter what life brings

Don't lose our love

Father please stop yelling,
your voice booms all around.
We got so used to hearing it –
we switch off to the sound.

Oh yes it’s true we hear you
but your voice is now a noise;
it’s not what you say – that we can hear,
just abusive, boystrous tones.

If you stop a while, take time to think -
And plan what you might say?
Maybe you’d talk instead of shout,
and then we’d respond and work things out.

But while your respond in dulcid tones,
whilst all we hear is put downs, moans.
While all you do is scream and yell,
you’ll push us away – so far until…

You’ll lose our love, and all respect,
we’ll grow up not knowing loving yet;
run to the first who shows interest,
repeat history, life of whole regret…

You’ll lose our love, so stop this now,
teach us to love , to talk things through.
We’re not so bad, you’ll see us now,
And as a unit we’ll learn to grow…and flourish…

Make you proud, you’ll see.
Make you understand your love of me,
Be still, be heard – in quiet reserve,
with dignity, respect, and glee…

be proud.

It's Not Worth Fighting

Your tongue, it’s sharpened like a razor
It cuts so deep upon each blow
The verbal onslaught of destruction
Is something you will never know

For retaliation is not the answer
I will not lower myself to you
Continue on, if it’s your liking
But I will stand, so strong and true

When you’re done and lips are tired
I will then just walk away
To give you time to come to senses
In hopes that it will save the day

And if you come to say you’re sorry
I will not turn my back to you
Nor will I try to strike in anger
For I still hold our love as true

After writing my best poem,
After performing my greatest gig,
After reconciling with relatives,
Currently on my "out" list,
After visiting my parents gravesites,
After visiting my old homesight,
After achieving peace with myself,
No matter how long it takes,
After visiting my Dad's and mine's
Favorite wateringhole,
After visiting all my close relatives'

After helping one last needy person,
Anonymously,
After my last church visit,
After my last prayer.
After finding peace.

I hear
The rumbling cloud,
As I sit
On a rocking chair;
Long silence…
Then, the rain fall, like angel’s tears;

But, when the sun start to peek,
And, smile like before;
I know,
She has forgiven me.

Knowing that this would be the end i tried to patch the hole by saveing a friend.
She opened the wound even deeper i never should have tried to keep her.
Resigned to my fate knowing it was much to late i let her go .
The bleeding stoped but the hole is still there i doubt that she even cares.

Because Scars Remain

It may have not been meant, when you said,
"I never really loved you" in that tone.
But let me tell you this, "I was wounded!"
The audacity, though by anger, to say that!
Words can certainly cut deeper than a knife,
especially from the mouth of a loved one.
So, please think before you say and do.
Please also act, instead of reacting.
When we share anger, I promise, too,
to allow my love to shine through
even though it's enveloped by a dark cloud.
May we never hurl insults or try to hurt,
because scars remain.
I love you always.

Don't Leave Me In The Storm

Everyday I awake its like a fresh
New beginning

For I could have been sleeping
Between the walls of darkness

All thou there once was a time
I thought I would have been
Content..

But

I gave God all his praise and glory

For he open my eyes to see all
His beauty,

And brought forth a beautiful new
Day

He reform my heart to a better me..

When I wanted to say just let me
Be..

Away from all the cold cruel

Hearted people...

Only looking for

A way to rob, cheat and kill

Taking

Your Shining beacon of light

But in the end..

They will meet their redemption

“Rather its good are Maybe Bad”

They weaken my spirit but not my
Soul..

I some time ask

Why I didn't I have a mansion?

But than I thought

I ask God for a cute little
House..

So am sorry father, you granted
My want and need without a
Delay..

Than I complain maybe I needed
Some of this and maybe some of
That..

I fell to see you gave me a mountain
As everyone could see..

Than

I thought, well Lord why is that?
Everyone have someone to love
Except me..

And

He did respond and told me this

Your husband was tired he needed
Some rest..

And

It was time for him to spread his
Wings..

But, you have me unconditionally
And your husband too..

For now and eternity..

We will both walk alone side
You..

I still complain, “I am so cold Lord"
Whats a body to do?

Than he gave me his wings to warm
My soul

"And said"

You see, am here for you I want
Leave you alone..

I still complain from the everyday
Tribulation..

He only smiled and said

“I’ve got your back..

Just have a bit of faith

I want leave you to fight this
Old turbulent storm..

cause he would not call he would not write and your call is not answer so

just say it and dont hold back cause he means a lot to you and you love him

Our Little Fight

This letter I wrote I could not send,
I just was upset I really didn’t want our love to end.

As our buttons were pushed we both came back strong,
Never once stopping to think that we both were wrong.

My weaknesses you’ve known for many years,
And I know the things that bring on your tears.

It is a no win situation when we get in these fights,
You’d think by now we would have seen the lights.

Stubbornness and pride go hand and hand,
As we both argue with neither one willing to understand.

Does it really always matter who’s right or who’s wrong?
Cause sometimes being right can hurt the ones you’ve loved so long.

Like a hammer your words struck a vital nerve,
With pent up anger you chose your words in which to serve.

This battle of words you have won, they cut to the core,
If this is really love I don’t think I can stand a whole lot more.

Then we both realize the pain and damage we had caused,
Standing there like a movie that had been paused.

Nearly almost the very same time we both apologized for what we had done,
And stopped the madness or else the devil has won.

i realize it was really hard for me to see,
how could i've been so blind,
you was slowly killin me,
you played with fire,
end up hurting me,
theres no mercy,
especially coming from me

and if i do forgive
i will never forget
its something you have to live with
boy you will regret
u had your fun while it last,
now youre my past
youre a cheater and a liar,
you made urself look like an as(s)

let me tell you,im no bodies fool
but love made me blind
i was a fool for you
now it seems, the tables have turned
so horribly you looking
i see you've learned

you loved that one
she didnt love you back
now you knocking on my door
sayin "plz take me back"

ah, you realize
you was a fool
messin up somethin
with one night or two
three,four,
stop knocking at my door,
when in fact,
step on back,
theres no comin back

i thought you was the one
the one i can trust
but i was wrong
you was a bust

you couldve been the one
my lover, my king
building an empire
just you and me

now its too bad,
it ended so sad,
didnt realize what you had,
you so gone, im glad

im better without you
unstressful
im free
you played with fire
end up hurting me
im the one and only
u had a good thing
now you cant have me

fadeout:
n-e-more....

Kind of Like Sylvia: Part 1

On occasion I feel like Sylvia Plath
The tortured poet who
During her tumultuous life
Never knew lasting bliss
Who never experienced true love
That was ever lasting
It seems she was only destined
To taste a miniscule bite
Of the delights she treasured
Everything she accumulated
Eventually disappeared
As if it was never hers
To begin with
Like a library book
That she was expected to return
By a certain date

Through death she lost her Father's love
At such a youthful age
When she needed the security
That only a Daddy can bring
After all, Fathers shape
Their daughters view of men
For years to come
As seemed to be the case in Sylvia's life
For when she met
A fellow poet, Ted Hughes
Who with whom she
Would enjoy temporary marital bliss
She experienced emotional ecstasy
That she never even imagined
Could exist between two people
Their creativity in their poetic
Works of art brought them together
