Haiku Collection-Flowers For Friends

Summers sensations
Promising pastel colors
Cozy carnations

Drinking every drop
Where the love goes it follows
Rain bows to roses

Spring has treasures told
Gently birthed from the first rain
Dandelion gold.

When summer sun seeps
Lily of the valley sleeps
Rise in the midnight

The talk of the town
Whispers of wild affairs
Tulips are silenced

Eye popping pansies
Extravagant explosions
Playfully perfect

For all the flowers of the world, beauty
takes many shapes and colors, open
your petals, embrace the sun, and thrive!

For JAN~~

Where are the Orchids?
I have never seen one bloom.
They're all in Jan's room!!

Weeping Willow

Aphids like to dine
on the hardy willow tree
deciduous treat

Lay down your burdens
Weeping willow; cry no more
A new day has come

Let the morning mist
Plant dew drop kisses upon
Wounds of yesterday

Let the noon day sun
Kiss your ground sweeping branches
With wild abandon

Beautiful yellow flowers
Graceful and refined
Cleave to bended boughs

Words are not enough
Language of April showers
Say it with flowers.

Gracious camellia
Daintily posing, but in vain
Begonia lost in thought.

Hopes teeming with ambition
Of a stargazer.

From friendship to love
Exchanging yellow petals
With the deepest red.

Delicate beauty
Of hibiscus in full bloom
Inspires iris.

A blushing lilac
Unaware of dawning day
Dreaming of first love.

Bittersweet flower
Ever loyal to the end
Won’t betray a friend.

Parting time is near
Save the memories within
And forget-me-not.

Yellow hyacinth
With a heart that knows no peace
Nest of jealousy.

Morning breeze scatters
The rich fragrance of jasmine’s
Deep sensuality.
* Hanakotoba is the language of flowers.

Honeysuckle Promise- Haiku Triology

gentle evening breeze
honeysuckle perfumed air
promise of summer

inhale of sweetness
floral scent of paradise
memories linger

stars sparkle down smiles
fullness of what is to come
moment eternal

Eileen Manassian Ghali

It was a warm evening. I had just come back from the office. I got out of the car and the scent of honeysuckle enveloped me in magic. It was one of those moments, that you can't of promise and life....a moment where you are lead to believe that the world is beautiful, the universe close, and eternity in your grasp. This scent brings with it memories. I was filled with bliss. I don't usually do it is. I hope you enjoy it! Hugs

laurel of meadow sage glows
fragrant flowers rise
across swooning bay
voice settled in the woodland
