Silent Voice

--Tree Silhouette--

shimmering tree
they're no footsteps around
but fallen leaves

afternoon twilight
heaven is listening
peaceful lonesomeness
Autumn waits
The wind blows the mind
leaves falling softly

Farewell to Autumn

Multicolored leaves

                     Dancing in the northern winds.....

                                                           Wave farewell to fall.

Autumn Shawl

Fluttering golden
brown leaves dancing on air falls
undressing nature

The wild geese flying
overhead a sign of peace
winter closes in

Throwing the old peat
keeping a fire burning
as cold approaches

crisp wind dips low

crisp wind dips low…
     trembling on hammock
  of rosette sky

     along vast dome…
  feathery air ripples
        like scalloped leaves

 winged azure glints…
     lifting tufted veil
 in autumn’s dance

Warm days and cold nights a clash of bucks rutting wild snowflakes scent the wind. Autumn paints the leaves a cascade of fall colors crimson carpets stone. Ripe for Halloween an eery pumpkin patch gleams the moon glows orange. Written Oct.21, 2015 for "Autumn Haiku - Poetry Contest".

Collected Haiku

Detroit, five a.m.—
Soon, my city will rise and
disturb the ravens.

Windmills in autumn/
apple orchards/ falling fruits
of nativity.

Flowers on your grave
wilt like the words I could say
that might bring you back.

Midnight festivals:
paper lanterns burning oil
in the summer mist.

Music can transform
uncomfortable silence
into miracles.

I want to take my
time with your hourglass and then
come back for seconds.

When you go away
the rabbits will not come back
from the magic hat.

Eagles lock talons
together they form and break
like the divine winds.

You are the warden
of my prison of regrets
you have all the keys.

She holds my hand tight
when our love is imperfect
she is not afraid.
