The Sport of Fishing

They say that fishing is a sport,
but who wants to compete with a fish?
These small, slimy swimmers
often end up as someone's main dish.
The fish's pea sized brain
is usually fooled by store bought bait.
The only problem for the fisherman
is how long his patience must wait.
A fishing rod and decorated hook
lures the brainless victim to its death.
After its fins slap the human skin,
the fisherman brags with every breath.
A cold blooded fish's defeat
means little on the scoreboard of life.
If fishing is meant to be a sport,
why are the losers chopped up with a knife?

British Sport I say

We invented cricket and football
And guess what we useless at them all
We loose every game
Drives the supporters insane
But we good for an after game brawl

No Favorite Sport

I do not have a favorite sport.
Folks near me cheering laughing, snort.
At times I sit in bleachers,
And watch the gaming creatures.
I much prefer a tasty torte.

Now I’ve never been terribly sporty
For exercise isn’t my forte
But I’ve finally found
A sport that is sound
It involves getting naked and naughty

Betsy Was a Good Old Sport

Styled like a T Bird.
She really purred in third.
By listening to the engine
you did shift.
Ahe was sleek and styling
if you get my drift.
Her body golden cream,
the roof black.
It's the one with the roof
that slants slightly back.
Pop shifting soon became
my speciality.
I just loved my
1964 Super Sport Chevy.
