Today I am going to hop my way to my brother.
To tell him how I feel about not being together.
I thought I could be so kind.
I saw him by the road side and I was blind.
I could just end it all by now.
Today I tried a cow.
It really was hard to do.
Then I hired a semi crew.
I watched carefully, darn he is fast!
My name is Happy ?, I'm Easter's brother who is sad.
He painted eggs that made me jealous and bad.
I hopped one day and he threw an egg at me.
My heart became really cold that memory was key.
I finally thought of it an accident really is going to happen.
Happy Easter is going to be laugh-en.
Good to see you, I said to a mystery man.
I was told not to associate with any human.
It was my last resort.
The man had a sports car a beautiful sort.
I was desperate, now, I'm in a bunny court.
Star crossed champions of mirth
Wild hair and wild eyes, both
To the world they say with arms raised to the sky,
"What a pity, for we dearly love to laugh!"
Arm in arm, singing their favorite show tunes
But in the voices of Donald Duck and Calamity Jane
Gallivanting through the city, doing the Charleston in the street
These two have no interest or talent for growing up
And made the world lighter because of it
Willy Wonka in his purple jacket,
Holding the door for her with his cane,
Him with those dreamy eyes
Pale eyes that swim in her perpetual smile
A smile, a voice and a soul that lit up everything for miles
She sits, glowing in the window,
Like a princess in the white room, wearing her little barrette
But she isn't well at all
And so she left this world, Roseannadanna did, one morning
And the twinkle in his eye twinkled off into space
With her dimples, impromptu cartwheels and spinning skirts
Four years wasn't enough to fill up the laughing box
The glass elevator is lonely looking down on the world
Wait, wait, wait, BAM!
Would she want him sinking there in his spats?
A wop, bam, boo! No, choose instead to keep that wicked grin
Dance down the aisle of the plane, show that funny funny face
Embrace each Saturday Night gone by
To Gene and Gilda, geniuses of love and light hearts
Pop the cork on the champagne and roller skate through this life!
~For Heather Ober's Famous Couples/Duos Poetry
Your love pricks me like a rose each thorn grows but no one knows Your so full of
it as it shows so carry on now go on, go. I'm fed up with the phony and i'm
through with the tears, you couldn't pay me all your money to make up for those
years. Someone help me I feel faint how could I think he was such a saint and
worst of all I let me fall into a spiral down below. A magic called love carried
by the dove of someone I use to know.
"Well, heidi-do ya'll?"... blank stares all around. Not a single one of them has any clue what was just said. I clear things up for them.
"Means, how are you guys doing..."
"Oh, we're fine. Thank you. How are you fellas?"
My brother confuses them next.
"We'd be doin' better if the longbeards were gobblin'."... blank stares all around.
"We're hunting turkey and not having much luck."
"Oh, that's too bad."
I see at this moment that, whether good or bad, they are waiting for us to make a move. They are three very confused and slightly nervous hippies, so I invite them to lunch.
"Yeah, I reckon. We got one this mornin'. We were just about to go back to camp and cook some up. Would ya'll care to join us? It's only a mile or so from here. There's plenty ... and I promise you'll love it."
I can see the same thought pulse through each of their minds ... "Deliverance". The lead hippie notices my amusement at their uncertainty and takes it as a sign of goodwill.
"You know what ... we'd be glad to join you guys for lunch."
Every part of my being desperately wants to say, "Good deal ... by the way, you sure got a purty mouth." The better part of me, however, quells such thoughts of mischief.
So, the three hippies join us. It turns out that all three are meat eaters, as long as it's unprocessed, and all three tear through the breaded and pan fried turkey as if they've had nothing to eat for a month besides love and sunshine. They had come from Fayetteville with plans of roughing it for a few days near the waterfall.
My brother and I eat, tell stories, and keep them entertained. They eat, listen, and try to decide what planet we are from. It is soon time to part company and we bid our hippie friends, farewell. Just before they are out of earshot, I call to them.
"Ya'll be careful, now! And don't let the mountain whoop y'ass!" ... blank stares from a distance ... are followed by healthy smiles and friendly waves goodbye.
Until we meet again ... hippies.
Here's Trinny and Susannah who'll both soon have your fashion fixed
These two wardrobe wizards do know all the styling tricks
Just let em at ya wardrobe, let em both go through ya drawers
In just two ticks these chic two chicks will fix this mess of yours
They'll chuck out all the raggedy and all that doesn't fit
They'll chuck out everything you own if they think it looks like
It doesn't really match or the colours are all "wrong"
The stitching's off a little bit, those bloody, bloody thongs
Now, straight down to the shops to buy an "Uber Cool Outfit"
Super new accessories, super, super kit
Matching hat and underwear, matching boots or shoes
Then you get to walk about a bit to see the "Brand New You"
Then, like a puff of perfume these girls will both "high tail"
And you will feel just like a hurricane had hit
Although there is no damage, well to your card a little bit
There'll be nothing left but fashion in their tailored trail
Goodbye Susannah Constantine. Goodbye Trinny Powell
I thank you for your fashion and your sense
I thank you for your honesty and I thank you for the truth
And for caring for my petty Pounds and Pence
Goodbye Susannah Constantine. Goodbye Trinny Powell
I know I'll never see you for a while
I'll not but think good thoughts of you, (as I'm sure all your clients do)
And I’ll ne'er forget your warm and caring smiles
You send bolts through my skin
something I was never to
accomplish with you, when I
saw you it's like my heart sank
to my stomach and I was in
shock my body still my body
heavy felt like when I moved I
was about to fall to my knees
you make me want to get
inside my brain pick you up and
take you out pick you one by
one like a flower because I do
love you and love you not.
