A Cinderella Story

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

“Simon, I have something to say unto you. There was a certain creditor

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Whom had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And when they had nothing with which to pay he freely forgave them both.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Tell Me, therefore, which of them shall love him more?”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” He then turned to the woman and
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you gave Me

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

No water for My feet, but she has washed my feet with her tears and wiped them

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

With the hair of her head. You gave me no kiss, but this precious woman

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Has not ceased to kiss My feet since I came in. You did not anoint My head

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

With oil, but this priceless woman has anointed my feet with fragrant oil.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Therefore I say unto you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

She loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

And He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven...Your faith has saved you.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Go in peace.” ~ “A Cinderella Story” ~

ONLY YOU

                                    Never thought, never knew,
                           that some day I'd find a woman like you.
                                    A woman with pure delight.
                       A woman who's mind is so aimlessly bright, that
              the sacrifices made brings the world underneath your sunlight.
                           A woman with thoughts and emotions that
                                 are defined through her eyes.
                   Laying next to her our thoughts mount up as one and
                                      disappear in deep sky's.

                                  Yes adversity will come and go,
                           but in life, with faith we'll constantly grow
            Although there are tears shed and pain that we will seldom share,
                    No other individual will come close enough to compare
                              Time we've spent is no regret to me,
                               Just hope you and I will forever be.

The Accolade

 Fighting mid the strong and bold,
His eye and blade were keen;
Marching like a thund'ring storm
On foes of Faith, his queen.

Now returned in victory
Upon his mighty bay,
Set he off to Langley Tow'r
Her summons to obey.

"John the Squire," the footman called,
And held the oaken door;
Faith, it seemed, had gleaming eyes
Like never once before.

"John! 'tis good to see thee hale,"
The queen exclaimed, and rose:
Tales have sped to Langley's gates
Of many broken bows."

"God has saved me whole and well,
By prayers, I ween, of thee;
Tell me please, my lady Queen
What service I may be."

Saying thus, the squire bowed
And doffed his burnished helm;
Struck in awe by Faith, his love,
The queen of Arthur's realm.

"Gilbert saith," rehearsed the queen,
"That deeds of thee are done
Greater yet than those of Wat
Or even Henry's son."

Tears bedecked her youthful face,
And glistened in the light;
John the Squire, as she had hoped,
Had done her favour right.

"Nay!" the humble squire cried,
"This word is not so true!
How could I, the meanest squire,
Perform the deeds they do?"

"Hush!" It was a firm command;
"I'll hear these lies no more;
Kneel before me, Squire John,
A knight shall leave the door."

Down before the queen he knelt,
He pledged his knighthood true;
Swore her ev'ry small command
With cheerful heart to do.

From his side she drew his sword,
She struck the accolade;
"Thus the greatest knight," she said,
"Is from a squire made."

From her hand the sword did fall,
It clashed upon a stone:
"John, if battle claimed thy life,
How could I be alone?"

"God has prospered all my ways;
My Queen, I praythee, cease!
Soon these wars shall claim our foes,
And Britain be in peace."

Faith remained there by her throne,
With light upon her hair;
Not one maid of Camelot
Was even half so fair.

"God be with thee evermore,"
She bravely said at last;
"Guard and keep thee from the foe
Until the very last."

John the Knight farewell did bid,
And swiftly rode away:
When the wars were hammered out,
He'd be a king in May.

This Woman's Prayer

This Woman’s Prayer
I pray not for power or place, only for the
simple grace to look my neighbors in the face.
I seek not for silver or gold but only for the peace of God that brings
contentment to the soul.
I pray for the devotion and virtue of Ruth.
For the wisdom to take kindly the counsel of years and
gracefully surrender the things of youth.
For the courage of Esther I pray as before the king she
stood that day.
Father, give me a will and heart to be all you created me to be, and prosper
my hands to your work accordingly.
I pray that my life be an example of Proverbs thirty-one.

Dedicated to my niece Kayla Renee Lucas on her Graduation from LCHS Class of 2012!

Warmth of Breeze

Imagine me as a book covered with dust,
A soul whose warmth for years remained untouched

Letters on every page were ill-defined, unclear
The essence was hidden in an ambiguous fear

Uninterested I was in the societal rigmarole,
Me and my outer self were at opposite poles

Quite hesitant I was to turn to the next page
As I knew it would amount only to stormy rage
Quite concerned I was for my future pages and me,
The so-called bright world appeared shadowy

And in this dusky weather, suddenly the air felt unusual
This didn’t happen in years, the matter truly seemed crucial

I bizarrely felt the warmth of cool welcoming zephyr
My pages drifted, smiled and glinted like a pearl

My dull existence got transfigured into a life full-of-beans
Personified I was into a woman of worth, a woman of means

And now after owning this bag full of happiness,
I started reading the letters carved on me,

This time they were decipherable and defined,
They managed to unite me, my heart and my mind.

I looked around, in quest of the soul who revived me
Who passed by me and set my tangled soul free

Seeing him was out of question, quite hazy he appeared to me,
I could only fantasize him as a cozy breeze over the sea

Now, this breeze could be felt only when you are around me
You… only you and nothing beyond
You… the only one to make my passion profound
You… in your absence too you could be felt around
You … the only one in whom I am found!

Every good woman need's a dsmn good man

Woman say that a good man is hard to find and to be qiuet honest with you i find
that to be quietly untrue.To me i feel a woman that's searching for a real good
man shouldn't search at all cause if it's meant to be you'll allow love to come to
you.You see just when you think that a good man is to find,that man that you
looking for can be right before your eye's.Tell me could you spot a real good man
if one was in your presence if one was staring you in your eye's.Tell me My
Nubian Sista,when was the last time you had a decent good man in your in
life.You know someone who will love you for you and not care what's between
your thighs.You know the type of man that rather make love to your heart and
understand you as a woman,you know the type of man that rather comfort your
soul inside.Tell me My Nubian Sista,When was the last time you had a man just
treat you like a lady,i mean having someone real that just appreciate you for
you.Tell me when was the last time you just had a man just comfort you, love you,
respect you and just encourage you in everthing that you do.Tell me would ypu
like to be loved unconditionally,a man that just will fulfill your deepest desire's
and your every wants and needs.Well aloow a real man such as myself to take a
journey through your heart to show you how a rea man supposed to keep his
woman pleased.

The Secret Behind A Woman's Pain

You believe your better than me?
Just because of the bruises you see?
So why don't you just hit me again, hit me

Your afraid because I now know who I am
Your deranged your the one who can't understand
Your nothing to me your a silly boy not a man

I will no longer sit in misery and hear your cries
I will no longer listen to your stupid and pitiful lies
As you fall to your knees and say your sorry,
For the blue and black bruses you had put on me,

And after another night of pain I dry my tears
For I can hear the voice of an angel near
I can mouth out the words there almost clear
For the angel says : "I am with you do not fear"

And then the voice fades and dissapears
I then think to myself what have I been doing here
How I have lived like this for many years

As I see him rest on the bed
With his arms wide open and spread
Vodka in one hang and the bible in the other
I tuck him in on both sides of the covers

I take one look at him and then at the door
A voice says: "Go you just can't take anymore"
But I say what if it gets better what if he can change
But what if it doesn't what if he just stays the same

If I step out what will be there for me
I then think about our past and all of our history
I can't take it he's gone insane
He's not the man I married on our wedding day

And as I walk out with my suitcase in one hand
I look at the trailer park and can't understandd
Reaching for the hope seeing the sun rise up
All I think now is what else the Lord will fill in my cup

Lewis And Clark

They were Meriwether Lewis and William Clark,
Her name was Sacagawea.
On an expedition they did embark
Finding the passage to the sea.

Down the Missouri they traveled,
Then slithered 'round the Snake River bend.
Rocky Mountain weather and sickness battled;
At the Columbia River they'd end.

Soul Sisters

Such an Amazing girl god put into my life.

He knew i needed you at that exact time

Funny when we met I thought you were to good for me

But when you approached me the sweetest girl I did meet.

From that day on we have never truly been apart cause I

carry you around everywhere in my heart. You have been the

rock when I needed a friend around, you have been the light

when the darkness consumed me and took away my sunshine

Even when were miles apart the phone connects us and keeps

our strongest bond. 17 years feels like such a short time but

I feel I have always had you in my life. Soul Sisters we were

meant to be.. You my beloved friend are such a fresh breeze

Even after a year apart it was like yesterday that we did part

so through the many miles and through the long hard road

I know this friendship will always survive. Your a burst of joy

to me each day I thank the Lord for the sweet blessing he gave!

For Always

Every moment I can't see your face;
These are the days and nights when I miss you.
I ask that you stay for always,
On sunny days and when it rains too.

If I speak to another pretty dame,
She's not the flame inside that grows.
In my heart you will remain;
This one thing I'd like you to know.
