Sins and Virtues Chapter Two

Turning her back to the wedding guests Lust throws a bouquet of Poison Ivy and Venus Flytraps
over
her head. Stepping in front of Sloth, Envy snatches the the bouquet out of the air. "Nice catch Envy"
said Sloth with slow slurred speech. "Thank you Sloth and I do believe green is more my color".
Turning around to see who caught the bouquet Lust wasn't a bit surprise to see Envy holding the
Poison Ivy and Venus Flytraps. "Well Envy I guess you're next to be wedded off" stated Lust. Pride
motions for Hatred to release the owls. Unlocking the huge cage Hatred releases the owls. Slow to
take flight the great owls flap their wings and ascends into the darkness. "Let's get this party
started. Turn on the music" yelled Greed. As the sins partied the night away the sun came rising in
the country Tranquility. "Are you ready to spend all eternity together?" Loyalty asked Love as they
stood on their balcony. "My dear, dear, husband soon to be you already know the answer to the
question you ask". As Loyalty and Love stand locked in a warming embrace being kissed by the
rays of the sun the two share a kiss of their own. Beep, beep, beep "Well this is a perfect time for my
communicator to beep" breaking her embrace with Loyalty, Love answers her communicator.
"Hello Faith how are you?" "I'm fine Love and how are you?" "I'm ready to start this new era in my
life". "I'm looking over your wedding file. Are there any last minute changes you want to make?"
"No Faith everything's perfect". "I'm outside of your house waiting on you Love. Let's get going".
"I'll be right down. I have to go Loyalty". Grabbing Love by the waist and pulling her close Loyalty
whispers in her ear "Are you sure this is what you want?" "I've wanted you when I first saw you.
Now if you'll excuse me Faith is waiting for me".

SO blind

All this time I have always had my doubts,
Not the person led to believe is what I found out.
To be deceived and lied to for oh so long,
Down deep I knew there was something wrong.
Head over heels I had fallen in love ,
Always thought you were sent from above.
How the knife is twisted into my side ,
So much pain I can do nothing but cry.
These memories of what I thought was real,
I'm confused and I don't how how to feel.
Is this really possible that I did not know,
Through all this time it never showed.
Such an evil thing to do to a man ,
Especially the lies which he could not stand.
How cruel and cold your heart must be ,
To carry on as you did never letting me see.
Hard to accept all those moments so dear ,
Realizing they are now my greatest fears .
What was to be Joy and Happiness,
Replaced by the feelings of a loneliness.
Never did I imagine this happening to me ,
Thinking that you and I were meant to be .
It's a very hard thing for a man to accept ,
When he finds out that he's been tricked.
Was it the money or the control you had ,
Maybe because you are really just that bad.
Some day soon for this you will have to pay ,
For the sins against me and your evil ways.
Goodbye to you who ever you are ,
For in this heart you have left brutally scarred.
Tac.

A Very Inviting Temptation

A Very Inviting Temptation! I remember of a particular situation. I was offered a very "inviting" temptation. The situation I was in... I didn't belong! And lost any sense of "right and wrong." At first... I felt no guilt or shame. And brought embarrassment to my family's name. I tried to explain this to my wife and kids. I heard; "Dad... please... no more fibs!" The Godly principles were "tossed to the side," As the sin inside caused arrogance and pride. Soon, all in my life that truly mattered... Was gone! My life was empty and shattered! I was sorry for all of the problems I caused! This time... I took a moment to pause. I cried to God to rescue me from my sin. I confessed! Would God help me once again? I read in the Bible of Jesus’ grace and love! This time the help I needed had to come from above! I asked him for a fresh and brand new start. He removed the stain from a broken heart. He restored to me the joy I once had. I'm so blessed! Jesus has made me glad! Jesus is the reason I'm here today! I LOVE HIM more than words can say! By Jim Pemberton

Regret

Regret

Regrets I have so many
But one that drags me down
Every time I think about it
My face takes on a frown.

It was the day I left my wife
Though why I do not know
All I know with certainty
Is that I hurt that lady so

I never will forgive myself
The remorse is hard to bear
And everywhere I try to go
The furies, they are there.

I know until my dying day
I never will forget
The day I left my wife behind
It fills me with regret.

America Is Being DESTROYED From Within

As sin and perversion often become integrated… So many lives and families are being “disintegrated.” Many are being driven by sin’s temptation force… It’s no wonder much of this country is way “off course.” The morality and values that once made a great nation. Are evaporating…. Leading to a “spiritual separation.” Love, honor, and respect of God… Is often a “thing of the past.” Anything of God seems to be disappearing FAST! God is our only hope! And him alone! Only he can bring healing to our broken homes! He’s the answer to this wounded nation, that bleeds! It’s only God that can meet all of our needs! He’s our provider… The great: “I am!” Won’t you reach out to him? And give him your hand? Why not give him a chance? And allow him in? A brand new life for you… Is waiting to begin! May we allow God’s holiness and love to reach down into our hearts… Asking; “Lord please forgive our sins!” Is a good place to start! By Jim Pemberton

Crystal the fairy

The Fairy

There was a fairy in a land
As beautiful as spring
Who brought the folk from miles around
Just to hear her sing
Her voice was like a nightingales
So beautiful and sweet
And everyone did love her so
No matter who she’d meet.

Just down the ways there lived a witch
As ugly as can be
She covered too from head to feet
In scaly misery.
She hated Crystal, fairy lady
And her hatred was so strong
That she wanted her to be destroyed
This witch was really wrong!!

She sent her evil servant down
To kill this wondrous fairy
He searched there in her lovely land
And he was rather scary.
He’d rough folk up and hurt them bad
Unless they told him true
Exactly where that fairy was
Oh, he was ugly too.

His face was such a monstrous sight
All lumps and bumps and creases
His breath was such an awful thing
It killed folk with diseases.
He loved to hurt, and maim and kill
His name was heard in fear
One day the lovely fairy lady
Of him at last did hear.

She told her friends “just show him in
He’s welcome in my home
Though folk worried, she did not care
She waited all alone.
She had no fear, no, none at all
This lovely Princess Crystal
Her being it was filled with love
Her heart was beautiful.

The beast came up to the fairy’s door
As that lady sat there singing
The evil one stood transfixed there
Such joy to he was bringing
That voice of beauty that he heard
From this sweet fairy’s home
The evil one began to weep
This no one had known.

He entered he her humble home
And fell down on his knees
He begged the lady to forgive him
The fairy heard his pleas
She kissed him on his ugly cheek
And lord you should have seen it
The evil one, how he did change
He did, I really mean it.

His face became all soft and smooth
He became a handsome man
His voice took on a tender note
And his form it looked so grand.
He smiled at her with wondrous joy
And he asked her to be his
The fairy told him “Yes indeed”
His face just filled with bliss.

Then he went back and slew the witch
Who had sent him out to kill
This wondrous sweet and lovely fairy
No more she ever will.
Then they got married, he and her
The changed man, and the fairy
Oh, everybody loved them both
And none now found him scary.

I Knew Someone Who Wanted to End It All

I Knew Someone Who Was Ready to “End It All!” I knew of someone who just wanted “to end it.” Giving up on life, and did not want to “defend it.” It was a heart wrenching and difficult situation. He said what he wanted to, with no explanation! I could see his face and the sad look in his eyes! What he was going to do next, was anyone’s surprise. He turned to drugs and encountered addictions. With this brought much disease and afflictions! He gave up on the wonderful family that was given. And turned to a pretty wild and crazy way of livin’! I told him about a God who loves him very deeply. As he listened, he began to grow restless and weary. I reached for his hand and began to pray for God’s power! It was a miracle! The blood of Jesus changed him that hour! The spirit of God brought healing and hope to his body! He was so excited! He rushed out to tell everybody! The “end” that he wanted, seemed to just fade away! For the son of the living God, changed him this day! The glory of God, and the power of Jesus’ resurrection… Changed him! And got him going in a NEW direction! He’s so thankful for the blood of Christ’ atonement! And is a different person now, because of that moment! This same Jesus loves and can do the same for YOU! Through the problems of life… He will see you through! By Jim Pemberton

Spirit to Fire

Don’t cross your woman
Unless you've lost your head
She could do like mine
And not rest ‘til you’re dead

Could come call in the daytime
Or slip in at night
Scorned women are sneaky
Mine planned revenge right

Don’t limit your fear to
knife poison or gun
She could look as mine did
to drag out her fun

It may be harm to your body
Is her new heart’s desire
But mine called on black magic
To put my spirit in fire

It depends on the girl
Some don’t but some do
I was naive and believed
when mine said I forgive you

So don't do like me and risk
your spirit to fire
Rather Honor your woman
You'll see she keeps you as sire

Sins and Virtues Chapter One

Covered in darkness wearing a veil of evil the bride stands before her groom
and a vile host of wedding guests. The heat and hate that filled the air was so
thick that they all choked on it. Baffled and amazed that Lust the biggest
slut ever was about to be wed to Greed. Everyone watched with anticipation as
a union of sin was joined in unholy matrimony. The words that flowed from
the mouth of Pride the priest cut through the air like swords. "Disgustingly
wicked we have come together in the presences of demonic forces to witness
and behold the joining of this devil and slut in unholy matrimony. This band
and covenant of marriage was established by evil in darkness. Lust will you
have Greed to be your husband; to live together in the covenant of marriage?
Will you obey him, lay with him and fulfill his sexual desires as long as you
both shall live?" With the flames of hell burning in her eyes Lust answers "I
will". "Greed will you have Lust to be your wife; to live together in the
convenant of marriage? Will you supply and adorn her with riches
as long as you both shall live?" With a twinkle in his eyes that sparkles like
gold Greed answers "I will". "By the powers invested in evil the
bride and groom may kiss". As their lips
touched their wedding guests was as silent as a corpse. Turning her back to
the wedding guest Lust throws a bouquet of Poison Ivy and Venus flytraps
over her head. Stepping in front of Sloth, Envy snatches the bouquet out of
the air.

Unholy Matrimony

They gather together in the pits of hell
to join in unholy matrimony
Greed and Lust.
A union of sin with evil grins the groom and bride
exchange vows.
Greed - Just as hell is hot just as space is cold
I promise to lay riches at your feet and power in
your hands.
Lust - Just as snakes slithers just as rats are diseased
ridden I promise to fulfill all your sinful desires.
By the powers invested in evil the groom may kiss the bride.

fear and doubt

i gave my hand to take her
and together we built a home!

leaving her to make the fire
i went out to pick fruits, nuts
and more to cook
and a blanket to cover!

next morning, to go out
again to gather
i looked for my razor
only to learn another hand
in my absence, has removed
his facial hair
increasing also burden in my heart
sowing seeds of fear and doubt
to grow on my face!
