SO blind

All this time I have always had my doubts,
Not the person led to believe is what I found out.
To be deceived and lied to for oh so long,
Down deep I knew there was something wrong.
Head over heels I had fallen in love ,
Always thought you were sent from above.
How the knife is twisted into my side ,
So much pain I can do nothing but cry.
These memories of what I thought was real,
I'm confused and I don't how how to feel.
Is this really possible that I did not know,
Through all this time it never showed.
Such an evil thing to do to a man ,
Especially the lies which he could not stand.
How cruel and cold your heart must be ,
To carry on as you did never letting me see.
Hard to accept all those moments so dear ,
Realizing they are now my greatest fears .
What was to be Joy and Happiness,
Replaced by the feelings of a loneliness.
Never did I imagine this happening to me ,
Thinking that you and I were meant to be .
It's a very hard thing for a man to accept ,
When he finds out that he's been tricked.
Was it the money or the control you had ,
Maybe because you are really just that bad.
Some day soon for this you will have to pay ,
For the sins against me and your evil ways.
Goodbye to you who ever you are ,
For in this heart you have left brutally scarred.
Tac.

A Very Inviting Temptation

A Very Inviting Temptation! I remember of a particular situation. I was offered a very "inviting" temptation. The situation I was in... I didn't belong! And lost any sense of "right and wrong." At first... I felt no guilt or shame. And brought embarrassment to my family's name. I tried to explain this to my wife and kids. I heard; "Dad... please... no more fibs!" The Godly principles were "tossed to the side," As the sin inside caused arrogance and pride. Soon, all in my life that truly mattered... Was gone! My life was empty and shattered! I was sorry for all of the problems I caused! This time... I took a moment to pause. I cried to God to rescue me from my sin. I confessed! Would God help me once again? I read in the Bible of Jesus’ grace and love! This time the help I needed had to come from above! I asked him for a fresh and brand new start. He removed the stain from a broken heart. He restored to me the joy I once had. I'm so blessed! Jesus has made me glad! Jesus is the reason I'm here today! I LOVE HIM more than words can say! By Jim Pemberton

America Is Being DESTROYED From Within

As sin and perversion often become integrated… So many lives and families are being “disintegrated.” Many are being driven by sin’s temptation force… It’s no wonder much of this country is way “off course.” The morality and values that once made a great nation. Are evaporating…. Leading to a “spiritual separation.” Love, honor, and respect of God… Is often a “thing of the past.” Anything of God seems to be disappearing FAST! God is our only hope! And him alone! Only he can bring healing to our broken homes! He’s the answer to this wounded nation, that bleeds! It’s only God that can meet all of our needs! He’s our provider… The great: “I am!” Won’t you reach out to him? And give him your hand? Why not give him a chance? And allow him in? A brand new life for you… Is waiting to begin! May we allow God’s holiness and love to reach down into our hearts… Asking; “Lord please forgive our sins!” Is a good place to start! By Jim Pemberton

Sins and Virtues Chapter Two

Turning her back to the wedding guests Lust throws a bouquet of Poison Ivy and Venus Flytraps
over
her head. Stepping in front of Sloth, Envy snatches the the bouquet out of the air. "Nice catch Envy"
said Sloth with slow slurred speech. "Thank you Sloth and I do believe green is more my color".
Turning around to see who caught the bouquet Lust wasn't a bit surprise to see Envy holding the
Poison Ivy and Venus Flytraps. "Well Envy I guess you're next to be wedded off" stated Lust. Pride
motions for Hatred to release the owls. Unlocking the huge cage Hatred releases the owls. Slow to
take flight the great owls flap their wings and ascends into the darkness. "Let's get this party
started. Turn on the music" yelled Greed. As the sins partied the night away the sun came rising in
the country Tranquility. "Are you ready to spend all eternity together?" Loyalty asked Love as they
stood on their balcony. "My dear, dear, husband soon to be you already know the answer to the
question you ask". As Loyalty and Love stand locked in a warming embrace being kissed by the
rays of the sun the two share a kiss of their own. Beep, beep, beep "Well this is a perfect time for my
communicator to beep" breaking her embrace with Loyalty, Love answers her communicator.
"Hello Faith how are you?" "I'm fine Love and how are you?" "I'm ready to start this new era in my
life". "I'm looking over your wedding file. Are there any last minute changes you want to make?"
"No Faith everything's perfect". "I'm outside of your house waiting on you Love. Let's get going".
"I'll be right down. I have to go Loyalty". Grabbing Love by the waist and pulling her close Loyalty
whispers in her ear "Are you sure this is what you want?" "I've wanted you when I first saw you.
Now if you'll excuse me Faith is waiting for me".

I Knew Someone Who Wanted to End It All

I Knew Someone Who Was Ready to “End It All!” I knew of someone who just wanted “to end it.” Giving up on life, and did not want to “defend it.” It was a heart wrenching and difficult situation. He said what he wanted to, with no explanation! I could see his face and the sad look in his eyes! What he was going to do next, was anyone’s surprise. He turned to drugs and encountered addictions. With this brought much disease and afflictions! He gave up on the wonderful family that was given. And turned to a pretty wild and crazy way of livin’! I told him about a God who loves him very deeply. As he listened, he began to grow restless and weary. I reached for his hand and began to pray for God’s power! It was a miracle! The blood of Jesus changed him that hour! The spirit of God brought healing and hope to his body! He was so excited! He rushed out to tell everybody! The “end” that he wanted, seemed to just fade away! For the son of the living God, changed him this day! The glory of God, and the power of Jesus’ resurrection… Changed him! And got him going in a NEW direction! He’s so thankful for the blood of Christ’ atonement! And is a different person now, because of that moment! This same Jesus loves and can do the same for YOU! Through the problems of life… He will see you through! By Jim Pemberton

Sins and Virtues Chapter One

Covered in darkness wearing a veil of evil. The bride stands before her groom and a vile host of
wedding guests. The heat and hate that filled the air was so thick that they all choked on it.
Baffled and amazed that Lust the biggest slut ever was about to wed Greed. Everyone watched
with anticipation as a union of sin was joined in unholy matrimony. The words that flowed from
the mouth of Pride the priest cut through the air like swords. "Disgustingly wicked we have come
together in the presences of demonic forces to behold the joining of this devil and slut in unholy
matrimony. This band and covenant of marriage was established by evil in darkness. Lust will
you have Greed to be your husband; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you obey him,
lay with him, and fulfill his sexual desires as long as you both shall live?" With the flames of hell burning in her eyes Lust answers "I will". "Greed will you have Lust to be your wife; to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you supply and adorn her with riches as long as you both shall live?" With a twinkle in his eyes that sparkles like gold Greed answers "I will". "By the powers invested in evil the bride and groom may kiss". As their lips touched their wedding guests were as silent as a corpse. Turning her back to the wedding guests Lust throws a bouquet of Poison Ivy and
Venus Flytraps over her head. Stepping in front of Soth, Envy snatches the bouquet out of the air. "Nice catch Envy" said Sloth with slow slurred speech. "Thank you Envy and I do believe green is more my color". Turning around to see who caught the bouquet Lust wasn't a bit surprise to see Envy holding the Poison Ivy and Venus Flytraps. Spirit to Fire

Don’t cross your woman
Unless you've lost your head
She could do like mine
And not rest ‘til you’re dead

Could come call in the daytime
Or slip in at night
Scorned women are sneaky
Mine planned revenge right

Don’t limit your fear to
knife poison or gun
She could look as mine did
to drag out her fun

It may be harm to your body
Is her new heart’s desire
But mine called on black magic
To put my spirit in fire

It depends on the girl
Some don’t but some do
I was naive and believed
when mine said I forgive you

So don't do like me and risk
your spirit to fire
Rather Honor your woman
You'll see she keeps you as sire

Unholy Matrimony

They gather together in the pits of hell
to join in unholy matrimony
Greed and Lust. A union of sin with evil grins
the groom and bride exchange vows.
Greed-Just as hell is hot just as space is cold I promise to lay riches at your feet
and power in your hands.
Lust-Just as snakes slithers just as rats are diseased ridden I promise
to fulfill all your sinful desires.
By the powers invested in evil the groom may kiss the bride.

Life According To Me

Life According To Me

GREAT PEOPLE:
I have observed that some of the shortest lives contributed so much more than most. We all have known of many endowed with longevity, but were impoverished of legacy.

UNSELFISH PEOPLE:
There are those who gave it all, with nothing taken to the grave but an empty corpse. Then there are those whose God given talents and gifts followed them to their grave.

MARRIAGE:
Perhaps all would agree that marriage should not consummate where there is no love. But do we dare ask where marriage should stand, if love should cease to be in the marriage? Should we not recall that most marriages were entered into, not with love alone, but also with covenant?

STORMS AND MOTHER NATURE:
Storms reek havoc to structures and infra-structures, landscapes and human lives; But those same storms breath life to dry and thirsty lands, filling dams and reservoirs.
The sun shall rise in the East and set in the West, and the world shall ever be under duress with some kind of test.
The winds and ocean waters shall sometimes connect and twist into hurricanes.
But prayers, hard work, and the will to survive will relieve the tears and the pains

WAVES OF WICKEDNESS:
Tyrants and wicked despots shall surface occasionally, but like in the past, they too shall pass. I stand with the God of the good, the tried, and the true; and have every reason to be hopeful.

GRANDPARENTS:
I have always loved grandparents, beginning with my adored maternal grandmother.
In my lifetime, I have witnessed countless “Grands” among the unselfish and the brave. I can only imagine a world of total grief and chaos without grandparents.

ROSES:
I like the beauty and the unmatched presence of roses. I hear their voices speaking calmness, love, and peace.
But roses arrive with the beast of thorns, drawing blood.

JUST SAY NO:
A “No” consequence is often far less severe than a “Yes” one.
So it’s best to put our “Yeses” and “No’s” in their appropriates places

BEING ME:
I think not that God has any use for molds. But if he does, perhaps he threw them away after making each of us. There is simply no one exactly like you, and there is a task and a purpose designed just for you. Let’s dare to find pleasure in being like non other that ourselves, and be the ‘best me’ that any can be.

fear and doubt

i gave my hand to take her
and together we built a home!

leaving her to make the fire
i went out to pick fruits, nuts
and more to cook
and a blanket to cover!

next morning, to go out
again to gather
i looked for my razor
only to learn another hand
in my absence, has removed
his facial hair
increasing also burden in my heart
sowing seeds of fear and doubt
to grow on my face!
