There is a place

There is a place you can go that is full of only love and Warmth .
you will be surrounded by a light that shines from the Heavens ,
Sprinkles of Silver and Gold.

This place is filled with brilliant colors of Purple , vibrant Gold, all colors.
not one Color is less significant then another ,
for every color is equal here .

This place is surrounded by the beauty of different Flowers.
All flowers have significance here . No one Flower is better then another .
All Flowers are equal here .

It is important you know , you can cry here , and should cry as often as needed .
For the tears will cleanse your Soul and give the Flowers water to grow.
No one Tear is insignificant here , every tear has value and not one is better then another .

money holds no value , Where you live , what you own, has no significance here .

You will be surrounded by a beautiful light that shines from the Heavens .
A shining warm light will encircle you and allow nothing to hurt you .
Hate will be shed at the door light a old jacket of no use.

There is a place of beauty and Worth.
This place will not be found on Earth .
It is a place where no one person is better then another .

I'm my Daddy Made Over

Dedicated to my Dad Jerry W. Niday 3/20/1952 - 6/18/2013

I am who I am because of him
He’s the reason for my son’s name
He gave me my courage & my strength
To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy
Stand for the ones who can’t
To think and fend for myself
I’m my Daddy made over

Taught me to fight back
To never back down
How to pick myself back up
When I’ve been knocked down
Fight for what I believe
I’m my Daddy made over

He gave me my stubbornness
Gave me my pride
Gave me my temper
Taught me not to take crap
To speak my mind no matter who
Work for what I want
I’m my Daddy made over

How to keep my emotions in check
How to handle large amounts of pain
When in trouble he always had my back
He knew how my mind worked better than anyone
I got it from him
I’m my Daddy made over

Even though he’s gone
I’ll stand and continue on
I may stumble I may fall
May even get hurt along the way
But I’ll pick myself back up
I’ll dust myself off and stand tall
I’m honored and proud to say
I’m my Daddy made over

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

The Wasteland -Part 1-

How can one express the baffling depths of obscurity? How can one behold to open the shafts of the mind? I have never been able to solve the mystery— Of myself. . . I wish at times that my life was no more That I could live as another and finally see things right But I am always stuck in this darkness And I cannot see this mind in light There are beasts. . .demons prowling through the wasteland Searching for any remaining life And if they are ever found— They are doomed and consumed Fear is their downfall and they never fail to smell it Their ashes remain, dancing with the imaginary breeze It is silent here—there are no answers I wish there were answers. . . But maybe there was never a reason No answers. . . Talons extend and clench around my heart They will never seek me out—they left me here It is like they knew…I had no reason—that was the answer I feel the pulse of my dangling life Alone in the dark, whimpering like a child I have scared myself, becoming this dragon-daggered youth No balm in Gilead! No eyes to see All I know will never be free I don’t need anyone! You are a disgrace—scum of the waste! You have everything, you ungrateful little nothing You are a joke. . . So swallow it all up like the pushover you are Stand your lowest and trudge right through No questions. No answers. Just . You. Or just lie back down into the mush of disease It has already infected you to the core Accept who you are, you ugly pestilence! I hate you Who are you to be glorified? Dream snatcher. . .murderer of all things bright Saturated in what you call light I see right through—even as the reflections shatter All of the dead kept you alive—they all matter… But alive you are the worst there is False savior—edited attention whore I never want to see your face again See, that’s why I hide. . . Desperation. . .desperation. . . I sob and cry kneeling in defeat For once I am right. . .I am right

He Loved You

He loved you too, you know
Loved you like his very own
In away you were
You came into his life as my friend
Through the years you grew to be my brother in arms
Along the way you became the son he never had

He loved you as a friend
He loved you even more as a son
A son he never had
When things began to spiral out of control
You stayed when so many others ran away
You helped when I couldn’t

You meant a great deal to him
You never looked at him differently
Nor did you treat him differently
You stood by his side
When he fell, you stood by his side and mine
You were willing to help me fight his battle for him
You were there from the beginning
You were there until the bitter end
Always remember my friend, my brother
He loved you more than you’ll ever know

Dedicated to close Family friend Rodney Howard. He loved my Daddy just as much as I did/do.

Generic Minds

generic minds listen to generic music
have generic thoughts that are unknowingly abusive
watch generic things talk about generic things
gee this generic *****is spreading like a disease
better get your flu shot
thats what they said to me
a suicidal vaccine
a subliminal killing spree
its contagious and the outrageous
thing about it is that the people are blind in an eye
that they didn't even know they had
it's sickening to watch these clueless civilians
inside the looking glass
with nightmares of being free
without a key to their mind
for it is trapped in the frequency
in the illusion of time
bathed in our universe
killing all that refuse to see
those that admit to hypocracy
or see the message in hip hop
how cant you see
the message in the lyrics that
bring adolescents to their knees
from bullet wounds conflicting their flesh
contradicting that they're the best
but the songs keep telling them that they dont need no rest
that they dont wanna go home
that they should ride alone
with the gat as their only companion
and so the only path they choose is the one that they're told
until they grow old and hope turns to a window pane
inside a window pane, until all they feel is pain
they realize that the music itself is ashamed
so whats to look up to
when you cant even speak when you cant even walk because you look so bleak
your eyes are sunken from the tv you're infested with the dee zees
now its too late to turn around and live for your conscious
so when youre screaming oh please
close your eyes and bring your mind to life
open your eyes for the first time
and never wonder why
since the answer this entire time
has been inside
and you better find it before you die
you dont want your soul to be in a pool with all the others
a buncha brothers missing their mothers
but only seeing strangers
only feeling the haters
wishing they would have used their minds when they had them
and now its too late,
now it's time for another new born fate to grab them

Don't Cry

Please don't cry over my casket
For I am not there
Please don't cry at my grave
My soul has been set free
I know it's hard not to cry
I've been down that road one to many times

I have no more pain
I have no more sickness
And I would not change a thing
As I walk threw the gates of Heaven
Mom Dad our brothers and sisters
Will welcome me with open arms
Here I am free of that pain

Don't blame yourself
It was my time to go home
This is where I'm supposed to be
Don't dwell on things which you can not change
I will always be in your heart

I will always be watching over you
When that day comes for you to come home
I will be there to welcome you
With open arms
And walk you threw the gates of Heaven
You will be greeted by our family & friends
Who came home before you
Until that day I will be watching over you

Brown Eyes

Brown eyes that matched her hair
Sad and unhappy as she stood there
Waiting for her love to return, maybe yes
maybe never, only time will tell
Such sad brown eyes that matched her hair
Tied from behind in the most romantic way
Head slightly tilted gazing down in despair
Looking, but not looking staring into space
Memories, dancing inside her head
As she spoke silently “He promised to return”
Talking to herself said… “I had to believe
What am I to do this is just my grief”
Time is just a lie man invented it to be wise
When two lovers are together
It doesn’t need Einstein.
He gave such a wonderful love
Love only known to a lonely heart
For what is life if not with him, I prefer to die.
Fool I am to think he will return
He’s been gone so long maybe minutes
maybe days.

Journey of My Life

One day you shall know
The story of my life
Some footprints
Would have faded
The ink would have dried up
Some pages torn
Or glaring scars
Depicting the journey of my life

One day you shall know
The story of my life
That I toiled and soiled
My hands
I wept and prayed
As I trekked
On the journey of my life

One day you shall know
The story of my life
That I saved and lost
The fortunes of my life
That the human sharks
Couldn’t let me be
Neither let me reach
The dream of my life

One day you shall know
The story of my life
That at times I stumbled and fell
At times I crawled in pain
At times I ran in panic
At times I walked hopelessly
In the journey of my life

One day you shall now
The story of my life
That every time I stumbled
I stood up
Every time I walked
I tried to run
And every time I ran
I tried to fly
In the journey of my life.

One day you shall know
The story of my life
That the journey of life
Is like the streets
Some have lights
Some are in darkness
That the story of life
Is like the desert
Nights are cold
Days are hot

That the journey of life
Is full of crossroads
With smiling faces
That hides hatred and deceit
While some radiates true affection
One day you shall know

Black and White

You’ve maddened me to the core
You singed me with your ferocious fire
We’re opposites… we’ll never integrate
We can’t blend with each other…
Your love and I’m hate
We’re contrary to each other…

So don’t even think about
Getting us back together
Because without a doubt,
We don’t click with each other…

So let us go our own way…

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be deleted from my mind…

I’m not the one that should pay the price
You act as if you’re an angel from heaven
But, you’re a fiend…a devil from hell...who needs your advice?
Could someone unchain me from this prison?

So let us prepare for that day…

Fear and bewilderment build inside of our minds
Taking over us…we’re wasting valuable time
Terror and wrath injects into our veins…time starts to unwind
I’m regaining my glory…this moment feels so sublime

You think you’re innocent?
I can sense your guilt…bleeding through you
Do you live to feed me anguish?
Don’t deny it…you crafty demon…no wonder I feel blue

Let’s get ready for battle…
I’ll watch you decay…
IT’S PAY BACK TIME . . .
Taste my fury and my agony

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be defeated…

I scream before nightfall
I close my eyes to kiss my demise
I want to disappear
Scratch away my desolation
Wipe away my tears…
Spewing out of my eyes…like a waterfall
Tonight, there will be dismay
There will be suffering
After sundown…
Failure and glory will expose like stars in the midnight sky
Who will earn the crown?
No one knows in silent wars – who can reveal the light in goodbye

Why are we black and white?
Are you too afraid to know the reason why?

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to suffer alone…

Sea And Space

I see outer space
As the place
To retrace the roots
Of the human race.

I see under the sea
Is where our bodily
Cells first came to be.

Man's heart is in the stars,
Holding onto the dream to reach Mars.
Man's history,
Written in the stars as destiny.

I am but a child,
Born onto this planet turned wild.
I am but a soul
Sent here to alleviate the toll.

I see a sea of stars,
A healing ocean for our scars.
I see an empty crater
As void as our love for our Creator.

Man's fate has
Always been to create.
Man's destiny is to face
The sailing of the vastness of sea and space.

Rapture's Light

I’ve just had an experience unlike any other.
It was so great, cause now I’m with the Father.
I’ve just had an experience unlike any’ll know.
‘Cept for those who came with me in the flow.
Of Light! That is. The never-endin’ Light of the Lord.
The never-endin’ Light of the Lord!

I’ve been through hell all thro’out my life.
And I’ve had all kinds o’ different strife.
And I’ve been hard-press’d.
And I’ve been depressed.
And just when I thought I got the hang o’ things,
They change, and they rearrange.

I’ve done all sorts o’ things.
Stupid things. Crazy things.
But now times have changed.
And everything has rearranged.
And all that I e’er knew,
Has come back to bite you.

So listen closely as I tell what’s happened to the world.
The world’s spun it’s last spin and has finally hurled.
The Hea’nly Host has brought us up.
All us Christians, that is, pup.
Anyone listening to this,
is more ‘an likely in any state but bliss.

If this is bein’ heard,
Then e’eryone is real disturbed.
You may’ve just witnessed all of us disappearing,
But there’ll still be another hearing.
Like it’s been for all of life, ‘cept for this one instance that is,
You may come to meet the Lord after you perish.

You’ll have an experience unlike any other.
It’ll be so great, cause you’ll be with the Father.
You’ll have an experience unlike any’ll know.
‘Cept for those who’ll come with you in the flow.
Of Light! That is. The never-endin’ Light of the Lord.
The never-endin’ Light of the Lord!

I shall end this now for I’m ent’rin the Pearly Gates o’ Heav’n.
It’s more beautiful than can be describ’d by any Reveren’.
If somehow this reaches you people on Earth,
Remember this one thing from the hearth.
There’ll always be hope, so stay strong!
Don’t worry, this torture won’t last long.

Our Invincible Defeat

The inner and the outer,
Are dissolving fast in space.
The ominous clouds of thunder,
Are covering your face.

The meek the mild and innocent,
Are trampled under feet,
As we go one marching blindly,
To our invincible defeat.

No more calling softly,
No more calling you,
We've lost our hope and loving,
What once we thought was true.

And now the choice is coming,
Riding on a wave,
To be a free man dying,
Or be a mad man's slave.

And now the drums are drumming,
Drumming down the line,
Will you be marching forwards?
Will you be deaf and blind?

Will the light of sacred meaning?
Shine from bottom of your heart?
As the soldiers go on marching,
Tearing our humanity apart.

Still Standing

Where were you when my world fell apart?
The Sun darkened and the Moon just fled.
All had been done and all had been said.
And ripped to shreds was my beating heart.

Even the Seas began to part.
And the Mountain tops spread.
I lay there completely dead.
Even the Stars I could not chart.

If only you knew,
If only you were there,
If only you had a clue!
If only life had been fair!

I’d turn the clocks back,
Still standing dead in my track!

Journey of a Raindrop

You think your life's so rushed?
You've never been literally flushed,
or frozen and really crushed.
I've been through all a thousand times,
maybe more if you read between the lines.
My names 'Rob' and i'm a raindrop,
how my journey never seems to stop,
for each time I am let go,
as a hailstone or flake of snow,
I seem to know which way to go,
how to find a rivers flow.
From mountaintops up so high,
or sometimes a desert oh so dry,
even occasionally that tear from your eye,
the lives I lead as time goes by.
So much of what you see, depends on me,
and friends of mine, who taste so fine.
Rumours surrounding us are rife,
some say we even birthed life,
binding organic cells like husband and wife,
splicing genes with the creaters knife.
We are as alien as they come,
formed so far away from your sun,
oh the many ways we now run,
being in cocktails is such fun.
A typical journey for me would be,
generally one that begins at sea,
with the warmth and humidity,
thats what lifts and frees me,
and I drift wherever the wind breezes me,
across golden sands to exotic lands,
swelling clouds like poorly glands,
as our molecules hustle, you may hear thunder rustle,
a little flex of muscle, it's a friendly bustle.
But it's hard work to fly so high,
the pull from the ground really does try,
and beg me to drop, it's ever so dry,
like heavenly tears, please, please cry.
So please don't loudly grumble,
if you hear a cloudly rumble,
as raindrops start to tumble,
how would you like to fly 3months non-stop,
when you're so tired, could almost flop,
to hear everyone below say "please don't drop"
It's exhausting work, just being water,
my wifes often dropped, no-ones ever caught'er
But we fall to earth, a new re-birth,
landing upon a hill so tall,
roll down gently, listen for rivers call,
a lucky streak, if you find a creek
waters motorway, no path to seek,
carving through canyons so deep,
diving over waterfalls so steep,
or meandering with a silent creep.
Where the forks do meet we grow,
into a rushing river with busy flow.
You can watch us for hours, until beckoned,
but it changes every Neutro-Second,
have that thought you ever reckoned?
Maybe we all look the same to you?
Water's water, through and through,
but that rivers' constantly anew,
past you I quickly flew,
as we head back to the sea,
awaiting our next epic journey,
whenever the sky turns cloudy,
the weather seems to be gettin' rowdy,
after the days turned wet and gloomy,
can you see the rainbow through me?
Take a second to think of me,
all the beautiful sights I see,
it's not so bad when it's rainy!

Crossroads

Walking threw the mist of the night,
on the path that lead deep into the forest, in absence of sound;
from one whom was bought, no body shell be found,
of those who might be lost, homeward bound,
as we raven through this hollow ground.

Cross sentences that are incomplete, fractions that make you weak,
threw words that you learned so well, life is a living hell,
don't front and pull back, end of line, number check,
in the story and on track, blank page,
ink intact.

Scent of Paddy Flower

Scent Of Paddy Flower

                                   By Goutam Hazra

           1
Reminiscence

My father told me
first time
I was just a boy then,
“Follow the scent of paddy flower
move with the wind it carries,
surely you will go to heaven.”

I remember
he would catch
fistful of wind
bring near to my face
and wonder,
“Isn’t it godly!”

Magically, opened his hand
but I never felt
what scent he meant.

             2
Days of kind rain

“Son, see the misty wind
rushing all over the paddy field
comes every year
to drink the scent of paddy flower.”

Mere as a boy
I could see only
tides of a green plane
touching my little finger
and racing far… too far.
I would ask
“Where have they gone?”
Smiled my father
and said
“Did not you listen,
they are going to heaven,
call the goddess then,
‘come goddess dear’
we all are ready with paddy flower.”

Curious was my face,
“Papa, then?”

“Goddess will arrive smiling
her feet will be here
there
everywhere.
Seeing a pot in her hand
all those paddy flowers
delighted, will open their mouth more wider
and life will be poured…”

“Where these flowers come from?”

Remained my father smiling
speaking all his mind
looking high at sky
asked me to see there
spoke he again.

“Rain, rain, kind monsoon rain
on the first day of its shower
kind rain would ask me to come here
with bagful of paddy seeds,
‘let seeds be spread all over,
let its eternal relation with soil
be the fertilizer’
when all said is done
waiting rain
starts showering its kind
make visible hiding life in the abyss of seed.
Happy wind changes color
being green all around
waits for the day
when the wind would smell the scent of paddy flower.”

Days passed by,
kind rain was still in waiting
sometimes hidden beyond horizon
or simply making sun blind with its smoky face
and whenever wind said,
‘Dry I’m now’
quenched the thirst.

Someday wind played naughty with sun
asked kind rain to make it misty
and with brushes of sun rays
painted a rainbow on the face of east sky.

Wait was over
green field blossomed with flowers
and wind said,
“Fill in my heart
with scent of flower
I shall bring life…”

Happy was my father’s voice
“Rain, rain, kind monsoon rain
said so
green wind brining life
did so
scent of paddy flower
is made so.
Bare footed be here
print your soul
in the dust of this soil
kind rain will come
green wind being there
life will be yours
beautiful
simple
with the scent of paddy flower.”

             3
Cruel entropy

How old was I then
nine or ten
my father looked up
up to the sky
again and again
for a month long
only to see
change of sky’s color
from the color of a summer day to a long humid night.
Dry wind cried at last
over my father’s sweating body
“Rain, rain O kind rain, where have you gone.”

One day sudden
kind rain came again.
Cried to my father
“Why no green wind came this year
from ocean
to bring me here.
Desert wind why
dry my breath
seeds you have sown
how could I then
enliven with my rain.”

Question
many question
my father had asked the rain.

Short-lived, hurried rain could spell its last breath,
“I am not that rain
as was your friend,
I am the curse of dying forest
I am the ghost of all pollution
I am born out of acid weather…”

Who knew, it left for where?

My father cried
As kind rain left him alone
hiding in a dry wind’s bone.

My father was still
going every morning
asking the soil
in vain
if soil could alone
make the paddy flowers to be born.

Year passed by,
came back the time,
for green wind to bring kind rain.

Rain came one day.

But why
as a cloudburst
treacherous
roaring always
pouring unwanted
like an unkind monster
flooded misery
in the life of a simple farmer?

            4
Relinquishment

Dumb remained my father
for days together
sad was his voice at last,
“Run away, son, run away from here,
sky rain wind
river village land;
thread of this garland
who cuts it
go, stop now there hand.”

Draught and flood,
uncertainty of life
changed my mind
as of a farmer’s son.
Books, studies and education
reasons, truth and compassion
might have had fulfilled my father’s mission.

But…
Does not this civilization
converts us
as the products to do more production.
Run, run and run
run ahead of time
let be it, at the cost of inhaling killer tension,
stress taking over your life.
Insomnia, cholesterol or cynicism
is our success’s companion?
‘A’ is shaped as ‘B’
and ‘B’ is sold as ‘C’.
Modification
innovation
sophistication
but I found the basic
what it remain
as life’s supreme conviction
‘simply a fist full of paddy
and its grain’.

             5
Scent of life

So here, I am again
standing in front of this green plane
searching for the shadow of my father.
Green wind surrounds my existence
I can see the dance of those bunches.
My mind whispers to my ear
echoes those words of my father,
“Bare footed be here
print your soul
in the dust of this soil
rain will come
green wind being there
life will be yours
beautiful
simple
with the scent of paddy flower.”

I never felt so,
what I smell now
is the scent of paddy flower.

Freedom

I am a Jewish boy
I wonder if I will ever survive
I hear people screaming and crying
I see skinny people with shaved
heads
I want to see my family
I am a Jewish boy
I pretend to smile
I feel very scared
I touch something that feels like a
rock
I worry if I will ever survive
I cry when I see dead bodies
I am a Jewish boy
I understand someone ought to die
I say people will survive and
freedom will come
I dream that I will survive this
catastrophic event
I try to save other people
I hope for freedom
I am a Jewish boy

A Maidens Tale

Many, many moons ago
when the world was young
people were nomads
carefully moving from place to place
this was the age of dinosaurs
a need for caution
mighty eruptions occurred daily
causing large cracks
that swallowed up camps and people

A time when your only thought was
could you make it through another day?
vegetation that was huge
giant Venus fly traps
that could eat you whole
lush bushes that could hide
a dinosaur behind the leaves

Now after one of the quakes
a comely maiden called Saigon
came to be the only one left alive
seventeen years old and scared
she gathered up some belongings
and set off to the west
she knew there were others that way

For days she walked avoiding danger
at last she could see signs of life
met by men with spears
she told them what had happened
they took her to the head tribesman
he welcomed her knowing of her fame
Saigon was a medicine woman
young though she was, her repute was know

My youngest grandson is very ill
please see if you can help him
Saigon examined the boy
I need moon flowers she said
they lay 60 miles away
they only grew in the blue mountains

The head tribesman sent two fleet warriors
while Saigon mixed the other ingredients
wort, some mushrooms and several herbs
brewed slowly for a day or so
at last the warriors returned
Saigon added the moon flowers

She took the mixture to the lad
cupped his head as he drank
he will sleep now she said
it all happened as she said
at last the fever was broken
a handsome man approached her
thanking her for saving his nephew

Quite taken by Matias she was shy
and hung her head as they spoke
Matias was also very taken by her
a love began to flourish and grow
until they approached the elders
for permission to wed
everyone had taken to Saigon
and wanted to keep her in the tribe
so it was readily given

At the next new moon
they exchanged their vows
and jumped over the broom
to signify they were wed
a feast lasting days followed
as for Saigon she was so glad
to be with the tribe, now she was safe
and had fallen in love as well
happy and content she prospered
living against all odds into her seventies
she passed away content in her bed.

Shadows of Terror - Lion Kill

As the light dims and dances on the horizon
A menace stirs from its slumber, slinks from the shadows.
The game move to and fro, staying sit means certain death.

The eyes of death blink with certain deadly cunning,
paws step lightly and then begins the running.

The cry goes out to all, Life is being written in tooth and claw.
Animals become scatterings in the night, dust and sand dance between their feet.
The sound resonates slowly steadily, like the first rains of the season, until lighting strikes.

The roar is deafening, tooth and claw bearing.
The cry goes out, the shadows of terror are about.
Tawny flashes move back and forth, distress and fear prowl among the animals.

Brown eyes stair into the blackness of the night.
Knowing that courage musters to challenge the assault on their fallen comrade.

STANDING TO ATTENTION IN RANKS OF HOOVES AND HORNS
BORN TO BE WARRIORS OF THE BUSH, BUFFALO STAND TALL.

FORGED BY TRAILS OF NEAR DEATH AND ESCAPE
NEAR MISSES AND SWIPES OF CLAW AND PAW

FORM SCARES AND MARES ON THEIR THICK HIDE
WAVES OF FEIRCE RESISTANCE RISE AGAINST THE TEMPESTUOUS TIDE

Bombardment of bodies against that tawny terror.
Horns heave, shove, push, and move.
The earth beneath them quakes, shifts, and trembles under hooves.

However determination of suffocating and straggling terror.
Grips, bites, and holds.
The ranks brake and scatter, did there effort even matter.
No one knows, which way the battle would go.

The battles have been decisive,
Now the law of tooth and claw,
It has been written, sealed, and decided.

My Future Generation

I can act insane
But DO NOT
Make me feel worthless

I belong in God’s family
He will bless my future generation

Don’t punish me for
Being myself –
Don’t envy my glee

I can act like an
Adult, but I’d
Prefer to have joy…

Not stress…
That piles upon us in our
Everyday lives

Being childlike is

A rare beauty –

No one prizes it…

No one came across it…

In this lifetime…

I can laugh all day
I can make you smile
If you’d accept my
Childlike dreams of mine
Don’t treat me like a sick swine

Renew my young heart
Give me the ability
To kill the old man…

I have my place in God’s family
He’ll be adored and glorified
We’ll exchange prayers and hugs
By my future generation

I beg of you –
Don’t kill my childlike mentality
I’ll behave myself…
I’m positively sure that I’ll make you happy

I’ll still have pieces of a child in me

And pass it on to my future generation…

A Journey Through Time

Two friends were travelling to the east seeking unexplored lands
eventually they reached some grim looking tall mountains
slowly they made their way up to the summit and stood there
Breathlessly they were amazed by the panoramic view before them

Vast areas of open lands stretched out with lakes and forests dotted about
"what a wonderful place" said McLeod "lets climb down and explore it "
they set off it took a long time to get down to the valleys below
they set up camp by a crystal clear spring full of big fat fish

"Supper" said McBram "lets try to catch some" with only their hands
they set about fishing, soon four
fat silver fish had been tickled out
lighting a fire they found a good flat stone on which to bake the fish
the teasing enticing smell of the fish soon filled the air

They saved two which they smoked to carry with them
that night as they slept a bear raided the camp stealing
the smoked fish. Luckily sated it did not attack them
"Drat no breakfast" said McLeod " lets catch and cook some more"

Finally ready they set off following the stream down to a lake
there were plenty of familiar fruits and berries for them to gather
also many strange ones that tempted them "best not eat them" said McBram
"They could be poisonousness". "No look the birds are eating them"

Reassured they tucked in eating a few and collecting some for later
suddenly with a mighty sound a mound rose up with a cave in it
the two friends looked at each other in bewilderment . "What's that
where did it come from?" asked McBram as slowly they entered the vast entrance

An eerie light flooded the cave, it was being emitted by some red crystals
they looked at each other and going over to them they touched them
with a flash they were suddenly spinning through time itself
crashing down they found themselves many moons in the past

Before them they could see strange looking people that bowed before them
a weird man dressed in skins with a stick that was shaped like a snake
pointed it at them it seemed alive as it hissed at the friends wreathing
"These are the promised ones" he said "The ones foretold of in prophecies"

"They have come here from the future to fore-fill the ancient legend"
the friends were feted by these people who treated them like kings
and the following day they were led to an ancient monolith
and strapped to it. "What is going on" asked McLeod "why have you tied us up?"

"To stop the dragon carrying you off" said the shaman "The prophecy foretells
you must defeat it to rid our lands of its evil purpose. At full moon it takes a maiden
and some of the children and feasts on them. You with your swords of iron can
defeat it." "Well we have never seen on before" said McLeod

"How are we supposed to defeat it" "I have a magic potion" said the shaman
"drink it and its fiery breath will not harm you. With its protection you must
then strike the dragon in both its eye then its heart" Giving them their swords
the villagers scurried off to hide. Soon there was a mighty roar and the dragon
flew down breathing fire, its talons outstretched to grab them. McBram went
for its eye running his sword into it sending it blind, while McLeod struck it deep
in its heart. The dragon fell to the ground and laid there dead. The villagers
came out of hiding and prepared a great feast in their honour

Towards the end of the celebration the shaman gave them both a bowl
"Drink this, he said "It will return you to your own time" So they drank it
and found themselves again spinning through time. They saw many different times
and strange places as they were whirled back to the present

Unconscious they laid on the ground slowly coming to, they were back at their camp
on coming to they looked at each other in puzzled bewilderment. Talking about
what had occurred they decided it must have been an illumination. Until they saw
lying on the ground some dragon scales collecting them up they returned home

Their friends scoffed at their story saying they had dreamt it all, there were no
longer dragons in this land. The two friends showed the others the dragon's scales
which were stared at with awe and amazement. Right there and then the two
friends decided they would stay at home safe with family and friends

Maybe to be continued

Rise-Up

RISE-UP

Why are we dumb as woman and man?
The world is [really] not like that to live in.
We don't let stressors break us down when we should address them right now.
We full of grit and grim that disengages a stable mind.
Never does this not aspect but when it is address; we have found the ultimate perspective.
“If” is a very big word in which the only thing hurt a try is failure.
           Put forth effort.
           Rise above your obstacles!
Let the world know you are not that damn man and woman, do the same.
Does neither this concept nor aspect; this conceives.
           So please get with it!
Rise-up and show others what life has to give.

New York

NEW YORK
Scene One, let’s shoot act one, action now.
I dream of everlasting diamond lights, in camera action now.
In the land of ‘New York, sky building light city.
To catch a self discovery, subway underground railway train.
Down one ‘Manhattan line, pass way.
To try and live, in a night life city.
That never sleeps, in any shape or light formation.
I am the twenty four hour, night watch light.
Someone calls out loud, for me now.
Down a green path, of ‘Central Park.
I see the majestic ‘Plaza hotel.
That is in the grand, upper way class, of life living.
Inside one posh, sort of a way.
I love ‘Chicago, within the business life.
‘New York, New York, I just want to sit down.
In a resting place, of one magnificent, play like sketch.
Come on, I am living in the vast magical city, called ‘New York.
I have arrived, in the ‘United States nation.
Entering the experience, of my ‘New York, grand stand, NBA basketball life.
What a town, I can’t believe.
The ‘New York lifestyle, is now bedded inside my whole mind, of thinking.
It’s a draw card, ‘American great life for many.
I don’t want to only, fail now.
Let me see, my connected light.
Of a ‘New York, living fantastic way.
Deep within one large, hot soup pot.
Of sheer beauty, ‘New York living.
So can I be famous, in the heart, of this New York race.
Cultured variety growing, fast moving place.
My ‘New York gift, has one open bright space.
A shinning light, of wonder and might.
Inside this wonderful, ‘New York colored town.
Of my own private, Time Square downtown, magic night.
So I live, for one crazy wild, New York chase.
NBC Today, lined up, in the film star panel.
At Rockefeller plaza, in morning daylight.
New York is a state, made of dream like wealth.
I am the winged ‘New York angel, calling out.
Dressed in one pure light, of the color white.
I am living, for the vast, time moment space.
Of my ‘New York, memory life.
The secret is now, breaking right out.

The landscape of an african soul - Tuli Circle

As dawn peers over the edge of the sky,
In a space of the lonely kopjes and cacti.
Where God roamed to the edge of a scorched wilderness,
and stared into the vast land of nothingness.

HERE, STANDS A PLACE ARID AND BONE DRY
WHERE ROOT AND SHOOT SHRIVEL AND DIE.

HERE IS WHERE HE FORMED ROCKY OUTCROPS AND SANDY STRANDS
TULI IS IT’S NAME.

IN THIS FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WHERE WIND ROLES A GUST
FORMATION OF BOULDERS, PEBBLES, AND DUST.

The springs of vitality forced from the ground below
Sweet honey dew, taste of life, transforms this dusty bowl

Where quenched thirsts were satisfied,
Hunger for food became starvation and slowly crippled the dreary
Only the toughest would survive, no room for the weary

As time pasted, it forgot this flat open bush
where grass and shrub became razor sharp and prickly scrub.
harsh and foreboding.

The Shashe river snaking through the sandy ground
with dust and rubble on the fortress mound

So men came to conquer and forge his own path,
What madness is this, why was he so daft.
But, when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object
History is written.

Wheels of progress move steadily forward
Rocks being used to build roads, bridges, houses, and prisons
So hard, tough, and cold these objects are to house the idea of future dreams and missions.

The stubborn will to settle,
made peoples focus rock solid.
But as time marches out and onward,
the memories and sentiments pasted through like a gentle breeze.

All that is left is the forgotten memories, graves, and relics of buildings old,
Hunters, Riders, and Voortrekkers cry out from the dust and sand,
that fortress of Pioneers, Tuli.

Inevitable Bear

Oh lonely Inevitable Bear,
Padding claws, death in white
Sorrow in recurring nightmare
Instinct’s test; fight or flight?

Camouflage against the fence,
A challenge; my subconscious fear
Ominous slowly moving silence,
“Let me in, there’s a bear out here!”

My Notebook

Stimulating ideas pop into your head
You need a pen…you need a piece of lined paper
It looks like you’re outtah luck…no wonder you’re drowning in dread
You need a shoulder to lie your head down for a moment’s rest…
You need a helper…to aid you while you struggle emotionally…
I’m not trying to irritate you purposely

Try with all your might…try your best
To stay optimistic and fervent
I believe that you’ll pass the test
Be upbeat, kindhearted and jubilant

I appreciate the words you wrote on my notebook…
Sometimes, I feel like leftovers left on the counter…
I’m a rotten mess – you’re leaving me as if I’m an uninteresting book
Sometimes, I feel like a coward – I don’t mean to bother…

But, you’re like no other . . .

You’re like a mat – you’re constantly stepped on…
I’m like YOUR unwanted tool –
I stepped on you and
Pushed your buttons
I accused you of being the fool
When, in fact, I’m the fool by your side…
You’re drifting…pushing me aside…

I’m writing words of truth though –
Expressing how much I’m fond of you

I esteem your presence
Glowing with glee
At times, you do say things without thinking
I’m the god of distress –
You’re leaving me breathless
Cutting me down like I’m some decaying tree
You don’t see how much you make me…
Guilty for your crimes
Taking the blame about the hundredth time

At times, I feel that I’m awkward when I’m around you

You’re like a backpack – you carry everyone’s weight…
You’re like a sponge – soaking in our stress
I’m a distraction to you – you’re wasting valuable time…but don’t hesitate
I’m writing words of self-centered feelings – logic doesn’t exist…
But these feelings aren’t as bad as committing a crime
These feelings come and go – I just had to confess
I didn’t mean to screw up your progress…

Hey, if you need a few sheets of paper to right on,
Use me like a notebook instead…and write with all your might
It seems as if you read me…like a book that drags on and on
Use me as your tool of relaxation… and read me all night

When you wrote those words on my notebook…
It made my day…you’re such a delight
Like reading a fascinating, classic book

Yoda

Hello my green, little friend
don't mess with him or you'll have an end.
Alive over eight hundred years,
with his powers, he disappears.
Teaching is one of his strengths,
except for his lengths.
He may be a little bald,
as long as the rest aren't appalled.
Even if he's greenery,
he blends in with the scenery.
He can fight with a saber,
but with good behavior.
For as backwards he talks,
on tiny feet he walks.
This episode is at the end,
so the rebels will apprehend.

Journey through Time part two

As time passed on by, they settled and married
producing a fine brood of children
yet growing more and more unsettled
until one day they headed off again
this time going to the far north
where the lands were bound in ice

Onward and upwards to the top of the world
great glaciers with bottomless voids
blocking their way as they struggled on
their breath billowing with icy smoke
a storm was brewing, they needed shelter
where to find it in this icy barrenness?

Finding a crack large enough to squeeze through
they went inside to find it opened up to a vast chamber
many signs that others had used it scattered around
signs of fires with scattered broken pots and pans
dried crumbly bones not all of them animal
musty smelling moulding hay once used as bedding

Cleaning it up a bit they cooked some food
listening to the eerie sounds of the wind
as it whistled through the crack
soon they drifted off into restless sleep
when they awoke silence greeted them
and an impenetrable darkness surrounded them

They found the crack blocked by snow and thick ice
lighting torches in the dying embers they started searching
deep at the back there was a narrow passage
they could feel fresh air blowing as they entered
gently sloping, at first a tight fit they went on
until they could see daylight in the far distance

Now widening out on to a ledge they peeked out
there was a rugged path leading downwards
tentatively they set out carefully placing their feet
they could see a mist covered valley ahead
and curls of smoke drifting in the breeze
finally reaching the bottom, they found themselves surrounded

Dark skinned natives with spears pointed at them
they were tied up hung on poles and carried to the huts
there they were left suspended from forked trees
a flash and billowing black smoke from which appeared
a shaman like they had never seen before dressed in snake skins
and holding a stick that rattled as he shook it at them

Dancing around them muttering incantations
he hit the ground hard and the stick became a snake
that hissed and wreathed in sinuous movements
laughing as he watched them cringe back from it
now McLeod and McBram thought this to be the end
when he suddenly cut them loose and beckoned

They followed him to the fire side, he gestured them to sit
pretty girls brought them food and bade them to eat
slowly tucking in the tastes were very strange and hot
causing them to feel like they were on fire
given bowls of clear liquid they sipped on coconut milk
which alleviated the burning sensation entirely

Told to rest they drifted off into a strange sleep
in which they seemed to be awake
travelling at the speed of light they saw the ages flash by
when they woke they were in the future
monolith like structures reared up before them
blocking out light everything dim and dingy

Apart from one gateway which emitted startling bright light
they with trepidation headed towards it
to find themselves in a stone circle with long bearded men
dressed in white toga like gowns with hoods obscuring faces
in the middle was a crystal clear pool that sparkled like stars
the druid like men bade them to approach it

Standing side by side, McBram and McLeod looked into it
they saw over the ages how mankind had plundered and ravaged it
until only one spot of green remained circled around an ancient tree
which was also slowly dying, its leaves drooping and shrivelling
"See the damage mankind has done" thundered the head druid
"If the tree dies, so too will this world cease to exist"

"You two are the chosen ones brought here from the past"
he said, "Only you can change the damage done
We have a gift for you to take back, It is the gift of Benevolence"
and on this they disappeared leaving behind a shiny rock
gingerly picking it up, they found themselves again whirling through time
on awaking they found themselves back on the mountain outside the crack

Hurrying down they went to the centre of the lake
and built a shrine to protect the rock
when they returned home, they found people changed
rich people sharing their wealth until all people were equal
and still all out did themselves as they gave and gave
in the end leaving things in piles for others to take

final part to come soon

Two's Magic Nose

Such a nose had Ol’ Blue.
Best in south Missouri... everybody knew.
Could smell a pheasant across the plain.
Could point a covey in a hurricane.
That’s the way the legend goes.
Ol’ Blue had a “magic nose.”

As Blue got older, his master’s mind would drift away
To a place where he and young Blue used to play.
In the mornings, sitting over his coffee cup
He found it sad there were no pups.
He thought it would be such a shame
If the only memory was Ol’ Blue’s name.

So, Jim was compelled and full of pride;
He made a search, far and wide,
To find Ol’ Blue a suitable mate.
No doubt, his offspring would be great.
It seemed likely, he supposed,
At least one pup would have his “magic nose.”

She was a Champion Miss from New Orleans,
A beautiful “red” named Cajun Queen.
But Blue suddenly passed away, before the pups were born.
Jim was broken hearted. He and “Queenie” mourned.
Then came the litter, but there was only one.
Jim struggled for hope; after all, he was Ol’ Blue’s son.

Dappled and lanky, a handsome little cuss,
He looked just like Blue. Jim made such a fuss.
Naming this pup would require no ado.
It was obvious. Officially, he would be “Blue Two.”
Oh yes, these were mighty large tracks to fill.
“Can he?”, folks asked. Jim would say, “Heck yes he will!”

So his nickname became “Two” and he seemed to be smart.
Soon it was time for his training to start.
The basics went well, but Jim’s outlook grew very dim
When, instead of pointing, Two would wag and jump and bark at him.
Oh, Two seemed to be trying; but try as he might,
He just could not seem to ever get it right.

“Blue’s son or not, he’s got to go!”
Jim found Two a “pet home” far away, in Tupelo.
On his way back, he stopped in Texarkana.
Been too long a time since he’d seen his sister Hannah.
Six days and six pounds later, he was back on his way.
Work at the farm was callin’ and he’d be drivin’ all day.

He thought about Ol’ Blue and wondered if and when
He’d ever have a birddog as good as Blue again.
Oh, he knew another “magic nose” was just a far off dream;
After all, it wasn’t something any man could scheme.
A “magic nose” was a gift from God, only given to a few;
And he was proud and very lucky just to have known Ol’ Blue.

As he turned into his drive, he broke into a smile.
“Why… I can’t believe it! It…It must be 300 miles!”
Two was on the porch, thin and dirty; but he struck a handsome pose.
Jim ran and hugged Two hard. “How’d you get back? Lord only knows!”
Suddenly Jim realized; and struck with awe, he slowly rose.
A tear trickled to his smile. “Why Two… you have a “magic nose!”

Two and Jim are best of friends, together everywhere.
From milkin’ cows to bedtime, Two is always there.
Jim doesn’t hunt much anymore, now Two’s a rescue dog.
Just last month, he saved a little girl lost in Cooley’s Bog.
Jim struts and tells proud, heroic stories;
While Two wags and jumps and barks, and shares his glory.

Jim boasts, “Like father, like son!”, then speaks fondly of Blue;
But all know the largest tracks to fill are those of Two.
His deeds are known far and wide,
And fill Jim’s heart with love and pride.
For with every rescue, the legend grows;
About a dog named Two, and his “magic nose.”

I lay sleeping

I lay sleeping with eyes wide open,
I lay sleeping with dreams that have no meaning,
I lay sleeping with nothing to dream about.
I lay sleeping with no care and sleep with eyes blind,
I lay sleeping, there with my eyes wide open.

Seeing the dark change from dark to black.
There is no moon, there is no sky
just purple strokes of paint in the sky.
Take that morning dew smell and close your blind eyes.
Smell the morning, that smell that clicks in your mind.
The smell of childhood dreams,
that as an adult never came true.
Sleeping bare in the nude with your eyes wide open.
Thinking of her, as she is five thousand miles away from you.
Wanting to love and hold her, but no use in crying.
Sleeping their with blind eyes in the dark that dances in the light.

Your lamplight turned down low,
as life trickeles down in its nightgown and yawns for sweet slumber.
Tired from longs days, and sometimes long nights,
wanting to curel in bed and close its blind eyes.
Dusk will soon peek its head through the blinds
and awake life to a new dawn.
She sleeps in the morning, and walks at night.
When he sleeps at night, and walks with a bare nude heart in the morning.

Life climbs over yellow mountains,
and meets her fellow compainion
a handsome fellow with broud shoulders and blessed with an ego
as I sleep there with my eyes wide open.
As I sleep with my eyes blind to what life has intented for me,
and as I raise to walk the lone streets at the break of the dew covered lawn
at the first sweet smells of dawn,
I can see life go on with the handsome man
and I blind and wanting to go to bed.

I dream of dreams that have no meaning
Gardens of cluelessness and raging emotions
tare me down and I am confused on which way to go.
Do I stay here and dream away, blind and half awake
as life slaps me across my broad cheek?
Or shall I walk on with life hand and hand
and regain my vision of the world,
Start to sleep with dreams that make sense
and dreams that are made of gold and have no end?
Dream of fancy dreams that show love and happy endings
I would love that, and I would love to walk with life,
but she is out of my leauge.

And my bed is so cozy and I feel like sleeping.
So I shall sleep on more restless night chashing life down.
I lay sleeping with my eyes wide open.
I lay sleeping with dreams that have no meaning.
I lay sleeping waiting for life to come back from the mountains
and lay beside me.
I lay sleeping with hope of regaining hope and salvage
what is left of my spirit at hand.

An angel came

An angel came!

Nights in black and white,
My mind keeps drifting from side to side.

Wondering in my mind about the voice I heard,
At my bedside an angel came.

"Be patient," The voice said;
I heard it so clear, yet so discreet.

To hear a strange voice whisper into my ear,
It made me scared, and it made me fear.

Fear from God who heard my cry,
Begging for mercy, to save a child.

Praying to all angels to keep her safe
The mother of my children, my soul mate.

This is a sign for me to know,
That God is with me, and I am not alone.

Thank you God for this sign you gave me,
To remind me that there is a God up there
and to be patient.

I’ll keep my faith every time I'm down,
With my forehead touching the ground.

CHOREOGRAPHY of LIFE and DEATH

CHOREOGRAPHY of LIFE and DEATH
(Three times I have crossed swords with death up to now!)

The cheerful trumpet of
Miraculous life,
Imperatively sounded in
My mother’s life-giving womb,
Heralding with its melodic tune
Another animation:
MINE!
And as now my innocent
Infantile heart, provoked by
The challenging divine call,
Started beating tenderly in
The rhythm of never-dying cosmos
Thus making me
ALIVE!

The promising sound was
Still ringing in my delicate
Ears
Singing the marvelously hopeful
Song of life,
When a sound of a
Second trumpet, similar
To first,
Filled with its melancholic
Tune
My tiny world,
Announcing the coming of
Calamitous death thus
Condemning me to
DIE!

LIFE and DEATH beside me
They stood facing
Each-other,
Tenderly holding my hands
And claiming me as
Their child

Life was the first to whisper
Into my ears
Promises so many,
She talked to me about joy,
Happiness, love and
Procreation,
About thousands of other things that
She would like to offer,
Only a favor she asked in return;
To be hers and only hers
Forever!

When death heard all this,
Didn’t make any sound,
Only sardonically smiled at life first
And then to me emphatically
Declared:
“The cup of joy you can never
Drink before you empty that
Of sorrow’s
And no matter what life says
To you, in the end you will be
My very own.”

That’s the way my trip in
This ephemeral world
Began
With vigorous life leading and
Tracing the promising way
And death kept following her,
Just a few steps behind
Patiently was he waiting
To catch up with her pace
But,
As years were passing fast
One after the other
Death was approaching rapidly
Each and every day
So the fight they had begun so
Many years ago
Relentless war now becomes
With life still the
Winner

Yet, the ill-fated date unexpectedly
Came to my great surprise
When the cold hands of death I felt
Around my skeleton waist
Squeezing the life out of me with
All their force and main
Eager to extinguish in me wish
The very last spark of life
And as the shrilling wind of death
Was howling throughout
My body
I fell at once breathless, dead and
Still over the ground
Remained!

serving and protecting the
¨Basic Rights of Mankind¨

Once, mankind was forgiven from sin
but continue to embrace it like a trend

After the Flood many nations strolled
some didn´t want true history told

All mankind has got to realize
humanity had been vandalized

A few condemmed HIM to a Cross
and mankind became a hope lost

His testimony was like no other
a promise bonding men as brothers

So, was it hate, shame or pride?
The Shroud of Turin now abide

Something embedded itself into minds
their egos separated mankind thru time

From images of Christ to the Sphinx
mankind altered their faces with ink

Societies increased across the land
but some became marauding bands

Enslaved many to learn their ways
called indentured servants nowadays

Learning finally opened many minds
forbidden to most throughout time

Conquering became a lust
many thought they must

Barbarians embraced warfare
believing in war over prayer

Some journeyed to build
but most decided to steal

Robbing nations precious gold
slaughtering the young, and old
another story that was not told

Saw oppressing others was nice
ensnared some as their sacrifice

Oppression increased in the land
because of the barbarian's plan

Their business began to boom
and corruption shot to the moon

America, land of morality and hope
still someone was signing for dope

Capital´ism made a few very rich
sin and immorality, Islam tried to fix
paganism and Communism a glitch
a conflict to shove Christianity in a ditch

Old governments embraced the Klan
still got history's blood on their hand.

Kept society busy with Santa Claus
knowing its origin is spiritually false

They knew global warming was real
maybe too late, this just sent a chill

Interested learning secrets of the brain
Drug gangs driving societies insane

Kids with little future left in sight
hopes dwindled like the Knight

Then, later came Robin Hood
with good news from the wood

Someone revived human rights
still, some decided not to fight

No need for humantarian crises
diabolical plans rolling the dices

These sinful plans between hands
slaughtering the lambs of the land

We need to fix this mess
before we come to rest

Most of world history twisted
some are now rying to fix it

For some Nations, it was too late
capital'ism quickly sealed their fate

Africa was a continent very rich
...now realizing it is in a ditch
never should´ve trusted Mitch

I even heard the Rossette Stone
was hidden in someone´s home

The secrets of Giza
painted in Mona Liza

Even the Eyptian Sphinx
tried to give mankind a wink
now hides her missing links

And, the pyramids contained a sacred Key
stolen by those not wanting us to be free

Someone hide Pandora´s Box
with final desination Fort Knox

Even, saw the Bible's Holy Grail
shipped by Fed-Ex Express Mall

Most gold, and precious artifacts
was found stolen, and hijacked

It´s hard for most to understand
they kept us busy with their plan

So, in this life we must cast our vote
moving forward with faith and hope

Those affected have become a scorn
got them hungry from dusk to dawn

World economies causing a recess
ego and pride got us in a big mess

The Middle East became a feast.
I wonder who planned that piece?

They say Mohammed started this fuss.
through history who dare finger Guss?

These differences in world religions
still affecting mankind's decisions

Humanity began in Africa and Irak
but millions destituted in a shack

The Americas to China has similiar pain
but yrants' view them as a social stain

And, there was oil for food
but someone became rude

So, once again East meets West
fighting over another treasure chest

Expenses reaching trillions
recovery costing billions
death in the millions

The greatest gift is charity
why concentrate on disparity?

We need to fix this mess
or earth soon to rest

Mismanagement of world funds
resources available by the tons

The poor and depair need more
still someone's locking the door

Feeling no guilt with pride
and the fortunes they hide

Corruption and terrorism sown
by a few of government´s own

Someone´s selfish plans ahead
have now made us very afraid...
maybe baked or nuked instead

Distitute's nourishment is baked dirt
nothing else or their stomachs hurt

Most of the time with nothing to eat
weeping for a peaceful night sleep

The 3 pathways to Heaven are narrow
selfish can learn from the sparrow.

When the next ATOM splits and divide
some gonna try to run and hide
knowing they deceived many and lied

So, don´t worry about a thing tonight
soon GOD will make things alright

Then, all children will be able to play
The Prince of Peace will come to stay

So, remember before it´s over
they too needed a shoulder

Perfectly you

You say you aren't perfect,
but look again and behold yourself; perfectly you.
Your tears be heavy-laden with guilt;
also remember, they glisten with remorse.
The sea water of the eye cleanses wounds old
and leads life to the good vulnerability
that teaches humility and belief.

Singing; your voice awakens the dawn
and dancing you set the moon.
Entrancing, you smile
and for a moment I glimpse forever.
Joy's child is your way
and grace is in your name.

Awake in the watches of the night
He watches your panic weeping;
wanting your day to soar
and set twilight leaping.
Stars twinkle in sympathy,
and meteors lead sight to the other.
Come away with me my love and wink at suns.

musings of an impaired being

Does it really matter that i conform to the norms of the day?
What perfect blueprint is there for the journey called life?
Who are you to chastise me for being filled with flaws?
Only one was made perfect.
who deems it otherwise?
Who made you judge and jury over the morally bankrupt?
How dare you raise your nose when your anus is filthy?
Aren't we all on this journey to utopia?
what being dares claim arrival?
That life is fraught with connundrums and challenges is not far fron the turth.
That humans of different races will be judged alike is up for debate.
I'm filled with vices, and so are you
but thou hipocrisy shields your misdeeds.

Listen, fellow weaklings
Take caution as you condescend,
for the descent is inevitable.
What fun is there to life if we dont fall and rise?
What story will be told if we dont lose and repossess?
How would we become fitter if we are not faced with storms?
Who can best define our cause on devil's roof?

Is it survival or procreation?
Is it strifes or oppression?
No one really can tell, only HIM knows

Clerics hold us bondage to selfish doctrines,
and we gullibly oblige.
Like a procession of zombies,
yearning for the release their words present,
unable to put our reasoning to test,
and lose the cloak of vulnerability.
Who exactly are we?
puppets of nature?
or rivals in the ring of life?
Do you wonder why harmony dwell scarce in the elements?
Or why philophobia lives in the heart of men?
I'm speechless, i tremor
at the level of discord we habour
Can humans ever really change?
do we just suppress some deeds at whim?
and display others when we desire.
Will we ever be whole?

The Valley of Bones - Chitake Springs

Lives passing by like a mirage
Stick images move through haze
The view is hard on your gaze

Footprints embedded in the ground
Echoes of the a time when life had a sound
Rolling in on hooves like thunder
Water draws the wildlife, like flies to a corpse in this valley of dry bones.

Chitake Springs, land of valleys, ridges, ravens, and dust.
Baobabs, sunsets, and elephant bulls in must.
Feelings come in with rain and are blown away with the wind.

Water draws life to its brim.
Life without it is pretty grim.
The river creates curved contours in the land
Painted in browns, yellows, and muddy blues in the sand.
Its colors melt together, soothing, and brewing.

Windy days and water bubbling
deep down in the belly of the earth.
As the heat sets in and the dust clouds grow.
The conflict of the titans comes to blows.

Brought with tension and strife,
Like distance thunder and rumbles,
tell of animals in strength of numbers.

As buffalo climb clumsily down the cliffs and valleys into the watery grave,
Eyes of predators peer from the bush as their prey
Strides to the sweet cool relief of the water
Little do they know that they are like sheep heading for the slaughter

As the heads of weary animals go down to drink,
tough though their determination be to savor every drop.
A presence they can’t escape is luring
Nerves on edge and fear brewing

The paws of death stalk with lighting precision
Until the animals are in clear vision
With an almighty dash of speed the chase is on
The game of life and death has just begun

Chitake Springs, drama is never far
Spoken of with a breath of excitement and terror
No one is ever quite sure of what to expect
Life is a balance of chance; this is the secret that is well kept

THE VIKINGS

Harsh winds blow from a baron frozen land,
Of ice and snow.
Exhaling Nordic gods breath a chilling mist
An eerie foggy vapor creeping along the
 Waters aquatic edge.
Rages angry seas lap against the wooden
Hauls as battle harden men brace for impact
Waves crack tarring asunder splinters oaken shell.
Yet these Icelandic warriors laugh at death,
Savoring it's flavor, and relishing their own bloods
Taste upon salted lips.
The devils seed lives within them, these
Barbaric conquerors known to history as the vikings
By Thor’s mighty hammer does strike thus,
Against the anvils rough hewed edge.
Sparks fly igniting thunder and lightening below
Splitting apart the very heaven's themselves,
Odin exposes a distant horizons far off shore.
Hear the oarsmen drumming, a pounding,
It's hastening beat the inner heart of this vessel
Foretelling hells army will soon arrive,
At early morning highest tide.
Whom shall stand after this storm hits land fall.
The sword unsheathed will take vengeance fill
With it's blade dipped an ink well of blood.
No treaty signed can stop history's mighty wrath
Feel hot Norse breath upon your neck oh roman.
Seek thy brothers kinsman’s council for
 Safety’s sake alone.
Fears children hide beneath a gray cloak of innocence.
Illusions shelter of falsehoods arrogance delusion,
Believing the walls of roman shall never fall.
A dark shadow is cast over thy world of glittering
Gold a plunders treasure chest a shinning example
For glistening ripening to fill ill gotten
 Gains empty hauls.
What price to pay for lies deceit, it's brilliance
Calls forth a trumpeting, a sounding for
 Deaths comforting.
Valhalla gates open wide, to welcome
Vanquished heroes unto the neither world.
While Romanian drink deeply from deaconesses
Bloody cup.
The Vikings sing a victory song and voyage on
And Odin smile down upon his people
With pride's honor restored.

brother don't abandon brothers

it was one of the darkest moments in His anointed life
when the Roman soldiers came to arrest Our Lord Jesus the Christ
divinity was unraveling the prophetic scripture to be fulfilled
Jesus betrayed and then deserted the night went silent and still
Jesus was One who was regarded as a gatherer of men
but at the midnight hour His disciples abandoned Him in the end

the journey towards brotherhood is not just about the good days
it's about a willingness to have each others back when life is not going your way
spiritual brotherhood was being tested the enemy now on patrol
the men of God had fallen asleep and the devil had taken control

a war is being waged today against the Living Body of Christ
yet our Christian brothers are asleep on the job unawake to deal with the devil's strife
we need to open our eyes we need to be alert and aware
on the journey towards brotherhood exercising cohesiveness, compassion and care
but the one time that Jeus needed to have His men around
they abandoned Him and forsaken Him and then went underground

every man for himself they left Jesus all alone
and as a result He was crucified and ascended to the heavenly throne
brothers don't abandon each other there's strength in togetherness and unity
have each others backs and then tell Satan to get behind thee

Drifting Mainly

You belong to me mate ( Intro )
And that be that!
Get on board
And grab your hat!

The ship was aghast at its new passenger	( Verse )
Like disdain for the lives that they now left behind,
Newcomers were scarce
And they never would last
But I held up my chin nice and high.

The bloke who took me screamed	( Pre-chorus )
“Mop up the deck we’ve got things to do!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a boy and don’t know what’s to do.

And he said ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Taking the seas for more than eight moons
We found islands and loot
That was bigger than most.
The taste of sea air
With its wind in my hair
Took me away to this new life I lead.

After mopping the deck
He grabbed my hand and screamed
 “Steer this ship boy!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a lad and don’t know where to go.

So the crew yelled	( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shore
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Surprising to me
Was my unshaven face
The captain looked on
And smiled with grace,
We stopped at a place
Where the women were loose and didn’t mind
If we took a peak.

He said “Now you’re a man so let’s get on that boat,
We got places to be and some people to rope,
So grab that sword and drop that mop
Cause you’re no longer a boy in my eyes.”

I practiced the duel with the men in the crew
The captain took eye to my devilish pride,
And he took me aside and said
“Even in death I’m gonna miss you boy
But don’t let it strike you
Or kill your spirits
Cause even time can beat out the Grim.”

Then in the darkness came fire and screams,
Our vessel had stopped after fourteen years,
The crew fought hard and beat most of the men
But now, my Captain was dead.

We took the new ship watching ours sink deep
Saying goodbye to our drowning escape,
The crew turned towards me and asked
“What do we do?” and I smiled,
And they did to.

And we yelled ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Takin what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

incessant rain

each drops of incessant rain pours

its just all bore and boor

but the scent of success issues the awaiting game

the rules are set and the stage is ready.

the poet with no aspiration does not stumble

he has no dreams and has counted the passing moments

just doing the time- he jokes, and hope the rain drops will stop

but the heart as usually beats on cruelly without any melody.

he on the other side, mourns for the poet

as if it was all his call

the King of Solitude does not expect the touch of souls

rather the incessant rain to continue the ever pouring rain drops.

For Bruce Springsteen

for bruce springsteen...

it was a rain-swept monsoon day

way back then, so many moons away

when i felt the music strumming in my veins

setting me free like a runaway horse without any reins

you sang of simple truths,

your verse spoke to people just like me

in my lonely, wasted, and desolately quiet night

as you screamed out tragic human wrongs, and of everyone's plight

'bobby jean' spoke to me

of that girl down the street

glimpses of whom, we as innocents would furtively meet

and 'the river' that flowed through my ever-barren heart

led me down further roads of thunder

when slowly i finally learnt that the hardest part was fighting on

and never to surrender

to the hard-luck dreams that were born to run

while i danced in the dark

with memories vivid and stark

even as i whined like that dog who for forever lost his howling bark

and then a 'human touch' came along

and 'better days' seemed real, not just words in a song

and still you sang and swayed and spoke straight into my unseeing eyes

as gardens of secrets were opened, and as your fist punched the skies

in an anger that i too felt and in whose cauldron i too burned

as we saw murder get incorporated, while on its wobbly axis, our fragile world apathetically turned

and then suddenly i was told that i was all grown up

working on a highway of scattered ideals

and absolving myself by sprinkling some coins in a waiting cup

well, after all these years of walking along so many a thorny road

with an armour of your verse covering me, even as i hear them taunt me and even as they continue to goad

but now i can feel myself fading away, into the bleakness of this coming night

just like the ghost of that old tom joad...

The Writer's Penned Prospect

The truth was here
The letters were sent
The mistakes were seen
The marks were clear
The proof was real
The smudges were seen
The words were unclear
The perfection had an imperfection
The vision was never clear
The journey was often a somber one
The time is now gone
The past survived to bring me here
The chapters and chapters continue
The words now have meaning from that past
The mistake has reason
The marks were clear; I was in a hurry
The mind raced with excitement
The laughter was there
The imperfections made a perfected decision
The writings must go on
The letters must be sent
The truth is here
The imperfection is the perfection
The journey lives on

A Reflection

As I sit beside a lake,
I look down for heavens sake.
A reflection to appear.
For the ripples of life is nearly here.

This person staring back at me.
I do not know.
Is it me?
Or is it someone else.

The waters has calmed
And all I hear are the psalms.
Sung by the angels up above
And I wish I could feel their love.

This journey we are given.
To find ourselves and what we believe in.
Takes no longer than a lifetime
But merely feels like an illusion to me.

Like a little acorn being planted to be a beautiful tree.
I will live in this world to make people believe.
There's always the good and the bad
But what about hope?

Don't we need that too?
Of course we do.
The balance of nature and life is necessary
And without it, we are nothing.

Imagine the whole universe,
We are only a tiny grain of sand.
But even the littlest person can make a difference.
No matter how big or small
Short or tall
We were given a mouth to be spoken with.

This journey is hard and righteous
But as long as I am courageous,
I will be happy and contagious.
And the whole world will see me for who I am.

Nepotism's Only Kin Deep

Chip off the old block;
        It runs in the family.
This all needs to stop
        In our meritocracy.

Titles through ages;
        A generation’s game.
Lordships by bloodline,
        Some things need to change.

Birth won’t denote skill;
        It keeps people out.
Mobility’s lost
        When money they flout.

James Caan can shove it,
        And let workers in.
Nobles move over,
        Let our time begin.

The Lord's Peace

Peace
The chaos is shedding
Piece
Of happiness is floating
Cease
The madness..chaos is concealing
Peace
Comes from the Lord -
To Him who mends us all...
To Him who forgives all of our sins
And downfalls
And answers everyone's calls

STORMY WEATHERS

wether to weather stormy weathers,
crucial to any understandings.
dire to decision,
more like a feeling never mentioned.
heavy to the struggle;
when the weight of the world is on your shoulder,
rise above the storm,
rise above the norm.
critical to the lifestyles,
hard to choose where to begin.
to wait till' the sun shines,
not waiting for the tears to rain.
so many unaware;
the choice you have to make,
the effect it has on you and everybody.
to stress getting through,
to make the right changes.
better to mve on,
don't linger on the problem.
not to get undertow by the trials and tribulations.

Difficult Trials -Part 1-

Turn the wheel
Out of curiosity
I'll be generous...you'll receive
Something special...something to make you whole
Though the trials you must run through
Are a great struggle that can easily
Pull you down
And I want to erase your frown

You will feel way better about yourself
Just trust me...take my hand...
I'll encourage you to have a satisfying time
Just for your own liking
We'll be hiking
Those somewhat difficult hardships
Together for eternity
We'll spend time in the future
Together in unity

*******he sea...Let's flee and be free!
LOOK how nice you look!

Trample those insufferable nuisances
That dare put you down
To the sea floor
I'll push them to the core!

Feel free to walk the
Road of Recovery

A Journey Through Time final part revised

Now as the years passed by everyone became so tired
the heaps of things scattered around became too much to bear
some benevolence was certainly grand but this was too much
the two felt unable to undertake the long arduous journey
so it was agreed their sons Bam and Muss would go
setting out they followed their fathers footsteps back to the cave

Eventually they arrived at the bottom of the valley to see just ruins
Bam said " Lets look for tracks" and soon they found a path
Travelling for days they followed it deep into new territory
until in the far distance they saw some huts in a clearing
As they approached they were surrounded by the natives
who took them to the Shaman who said " I foresaw your coming"

Seated they feasted and chatted telling the Shaman about their fathers
like them they found the food very hot and spicy gulping down the coconut brew
and drifted off into a mysterious sleep that took them back to the monolith
entering through the gate of light they found the Druids gathered
and saw the Tree of Life was half restored. " Your fathers did well " said the Druid
" but things still need to be Adjusted. We have one gift for you to take back "

"It is the gift of Tranquillity together with Benevolence it will help restore the balance
but you will need to journey on from here to the spirit world and talk to the old Gods
and with a bright flash the Druids vanished leaving one shiny stone on the ground
the young men picked it up and found themselves once more spinning through time
until they found themselves in a very strange land. Here was the home of the Gods
mighty Jupiter roared " You men are fools with your wanton destruction of things."

"Yet you come to us expecting our help in putting right the world's balance."
Mars the mighty war god then spoke " There are three tasks you must complete
before we will help you. First you must clean out the Royal Stables and re-bed them"
The young men set to work it took them five days to complete this onus task.
Returning to Mars who hummed and accepted their work with praise. "Now go
to Venus she will give you your next task, mind she is a hard goddess to please."

When they met her she looked at them and laughed. " Never have I seen such
puny specimens. I doubt you have the strength to complete even a simple task.
Still if you you succeed you will be nearer your goal, and she pointed at a rocky
place, clear this and make me a garden I am bored of having no where of beauty
to sit and reflect and to entice my lovers into my arms. Build it so I may sing my songs and enthral the heart of Thor too long he has been impervious to my whiles. "

Bam and Muss started to clear the site but there was one rock that was massive
it defeated all their attempts to smash it up or even to roll it out of the way
so they went to the Royal Stables and explained their plight to Hermes " That
is easy" he said " Take twenty horses they will soon remove it for you, mind
you feed them well or they will cease to work for you. They need the freshest
hay grown from the clover fields A ton or two will do the trick and keep them happy."

First it took them another week gathering in the sweet hay which they then fed
to the Royal Steeds. Already happy with their clean stables they were happy to help.
In no time at all they cleared away the massive bounder leaving the ground ready
now it needed to be tilled and planted. Soon the ground was ready and flowers of
rare beauty began to grow spreading enticing smells and the Gods were pleased.

"All it needs now are some benches and arches and a lovely fountain then I will
surely ensnare Thor's heart." At last all was done to her commands and Thor
wandered over and seeing Venus sat near the fountain was captivated by her
charms. Of course they had one more task and this one was for Thor himself.
He wanted a new thunderbolt spear made of the finest silver from Hades mines
Hades said they could mine as much as needed in return for their hard work.

At last after many hours of toil the had the silver needed now it needed to be forged
and tempered. For this they needed a furnace and blacksmith so they asked Vali
for his help. He started a mighty fire in the furnace and when it was hot enough
added the silver and when ready forged it into a mighty spear. "Here take it to Thor"
he said. Thor was delighted with it and said " You have completed your tasks here
is the gift of Temperance take it and restore your world's balance and harmony."

They picked it up and were whisked through time back to the lake. They hastily made two more shrines and placed the rocks inside their safety, immediately they all started to glow. They could feel the currents emitting from the rocks and over time harmony
returned and the Tree of Life began to again thrive and protect.

Returning to their village they recounted all to their fathers who were amazed
that the Shaman and his people remembered them. They were amazed by all
that their sons had done to bring this about and celebrated their feats. Now
Temperance took care of people's overboard Benevolence bringing in its wake
Peace and Prosperity (and no more piles) while the gift of Tranquillity brought
Happiness and Love and so the Natural balance of things was restored

I hope you all have enjoyed this epic if only it was so easy to put the world to rights
we would have an even lovelier world

You're My Plague

You plague me with your sweltering disease My heart throbs in unease You carry me off to a far-off island Your breeze keeps me flowin’…scraping sand Your names escapes my lips I tell myself, “Get a grip, dude…” But you decided to intrude... My blood drips to the floor I’ve been losing balance… The instant you pushed me aside Your quietude devours me… I can’t help, but hide… I feel horribly disheartened…feelin’ too insignificant To start my day with a good note Too discouraged to be motivated to run… You trade me your pain in the past I consume it like a bear My stomach is churning persistently…you’re running too fast… I’m dowsed in despair My eyes stare vacantly…into space…they roam happily Your vigilance keeps me safe and sound…I dwell in your tranquility Your dreams caress my own… This intriguing comfort never makes me feel alone I’m under your dazzlin’ spell… This is heaven – not living hell! I’ve been bruising myself over you…for a while now The moment you abandoned me that night… Your rejoicing mends my gash…heals my mind… I think better of you – everything’s black and white I feel so exquisite when I’m around you… So inspired to reveal my might…just shine your light On me…and remember to meet me at sun rise… But I still feel malnourished… By your sweltering disease My heart refuses to beat in perfect rhythm – my high hopes nearly perished By your forceful breeze…pushing me on my knees I’m stumbling off my feet – I’m not at all pleased I’m not in the mood to be teased… I’m suffering…I’m not discreet How did you push me off my feet? Why do you make ME feel so damn miserable and incomplete? You plague me with your sweltering disease My heart pounds as I fall upon my blood-stained knees You carry me away to an unknown place Your voice still rings in my ears… I glance at your admirable face I’ve faced you way too many times – Your sparkling with majestic brilliance and pure grace

The Last Wall

The Last Wall
By Kevin Robey
January 8, 2014

Captive in the grips of the oncoming downpour
He ventures into a scene drawn before him
Found the reasons to continue his current course
Back when he is young, where all dreams begin

Gripping the wheel of his war-torn Cadillac
Not caring if headlights stay on the broken path
Faster and faster the words he’ll never take back
Flashing in seams of imaginary cracks in the math

The rain pelting down on the hood with countless holes
Shot-out memories drain the gleam of the falling sea
Still he ventures through the road that once took his soul
Faith-based leap to this place plagued with uncertainty

Supernatural the way these wheels stay true
No rubber to grab the light between potholes
Still they keep reaching for something new
Speeding on through the darkness in his soul

The gates waiting ahead like teeth from diamond sins
His blood that was spilled over reasons still unknown
No restrain in place to slow his descent within
Faster and faster to where no lights are shown

The fear in his eyes betray his steady, able hands
Never knowing the way through this mile-high wall
His hands that stayed when he lost his final stand
Still shifting their way through his darkest falls

Picking up speed, the wall so tall it fills the sky
Front wheels picking up from the broken ground
Puts the pedal on the floor without asking why
Knowing beyond the walls the truth to be found

Crashing through the wall chaos falls like hail
Sprawling debris from casualties stay behind
Briefly bittersweet thoughts flash to unveil
Headfirst into the wheel by the crashes grand design

Bright lights wake him with blood in his chest
Heartbeat symphonies for the very first time
Bright eyes alive again with no lies to attest
Sun rising high above the crest that it climbed

Shining in ruins that no longer claim his heart
So he ventures into the streets with no names
Blinding shadows that once tore his soul apart
Back to the light, the road finally his to reclaim

Le Vacance Pretentieuse: Baggage Claim

Drained to my very heart by our slow-paced arrival,
I wander through tasteless decor to the metal arches
Beyond which a future is unfurled.
My bag’s innards are spilled like blood in the Bible
          Before the cold gaze of the armed man who marches;
He holds the key to this new world.

The mechanistic arch stands and takes quasi-sentience
Beside passport control, piercing my finely popped
                                                Eardrums with sonic solemnity.
I am refused by technology but stagger forward hence
Into baggage claim where a suitcase pile is propped
Up like a holiday Tetris calamity.

My suitcase is soul black and with difficulty is found,
          In its lucid eagerness to fasten itself a faux family;
			   Airports are filled with pretences.
Now we are away again, small trolley safe and sound,
On the road from snow, heat is where I plan to be.
                                                Our intrepid journey commences...

EYE Don't See -Part 4-

My heart is beating with upbeat delight
You astound me…in every shape and form
My spirit is dancing with unbreakable might
You surprise me…when you take my hand
And pull me outtah my jail-like dorm

And He dismisses me from my solitude…
My eyes are glistening with bliss…
And I’m far from my demise…
Only to find that there’s no need to feel helpless

Why do you spoil me rotten with your fatherly affection?

Just protect me from any harm
Let me make my own decisions…
To see the results in the long run

You prize me as if I’m cherished like your carefree child
You don’t understand – I’m TOO foolish and wild
I haven’t even reached to full maturity
But how eye hope to see myself grow and be set free
From the world’s mayhem
Is there a solution to this problem?

And I’m left with no answer…
My eyes are eager to see…another bright day
And the night is coming to haunt me…
I find myself slowly disappearing from sight…
When will God give me a purpose to fight?
When will He feed me His awesome might?

Just support me…especially during my downfalls
Please answer my calls!

And I’m left to venture off into His path…

Eye can’t escape my terrible nightmares
Consider my calls of acceptance…my grief weighs a ton
Let me pour forth my tears –
Do me a favor and cast away my fears
Steer me away from disorder and confusion

Eye can see you’re making great progress
You’re heading towards a brighter, superb future…

My eyes
No longer witness oblivion
My eyes
Looks beyond the earthly pain…
bEyOnD the affliction

I spot a rope in the distance. . . . .

Push aside the waves…and let me
Grab it this instant!
God feeds me His love…and treats me
Like a newborn infant!

Eye see my Father with brand-new eyes
I feel rare content
And I feel hardly any resentment

Eye
cherish
that
REMARKABLE
moment

EYE Don't See -Part 2-

My eyes
Refuse to see tragedy
My eyes
Marinate in dread…unable to embrace ecstasy

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s sagging…from endless mourning
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

You don’t see
What damage you’ve done
Just let me be
Leave me alone…hand me a gun

I yearn for unspoiled glory
To make me feel perfect once more
I yearn for flawless serenity
To make me feel no regret…don’t ignore
My calls…don’t hang up on me

You don’t see
What damage you’ve done
Just hear my plea
Listen to my excruciating cries…
Listen to the truth, not the malicious lies
Our journey has just begun

And I’m left in my solitude…
Do you hear me weeping?
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…
When will peace draw near?

Eye can’t handle the stress
Let me release my horrendous distress
Eye can see you making that same mistake
At least MY life isn’t at stake

And I’m left in my solitude…
My eye’s weeping…do You feel my lament
And I’m close to my demise…
Only to find myself disappear…Stepped on like cement
I’m aching with discontent… I abhor this torment
When will peace scrub off my fear?

I can’t believe my eyes
Your guiltiness flows into me…
I can’t believe I fell for your lies
Your heartless action rape my mind…you don’t see
What my EYES see…

You’ll never see
How much pressure you put me under
Unchain me from this chamber
And watch me flee…

When will you be set free?

We Search For Direction

In the beginning of plight,
We venture off and take action
Beyond the mysteries of the day and night
We search diligently for safety and direction

The aftermath of our flight
Brought us good luck and success
If we look forward...we'll eventually find light
We must get out of this cave...
Or we'll be stomped on by distress

You're our journey's end
Where is the escape route?
Beyond the present anguish, our spirits will ascend
With God's help, we'll find a way out...
No doubt

THE JOURNEY

An epic love and a grand adventure,
Between this woman and this man.
It was a journey of a million miles,
And with the first step it began.
A journey that stretched over a lifetime,
And left a legacy of love behind.
Looking back at where we started,
It’s so far from where we’ve come to.
Knowing the fire and ice we’ve walked through.
And oh, the storms and winters, we have weathered.
But this love is one that will not be tethered.
But if I had known then, what I know now
There would have been no fears.
Because I’d have known we’d make it somehow.
I would have known the happiness would be worth the tears.
I would have never had a single doubt.
But it took living it, to find it out.
But I think somewhere deep down I always knew,
And I think somehow you did too.
That this was something that was meant to be.
This was the life that was purposed for you and me.
So wee took those first steps in faith, and walked the first mile.
Knowing now, that each and every step was worth while.
Because it brought us to our “Somewhere.”
And taught us the lessons in the getting there.
And oh, what a journey it has been,
And you’d better believe it, when I say I’d do it all again.

It's Just The Baby Crying

Screaming For The World
Making The Sounds Of Feelings
Legs Kick For The Floor
Hands Reach For The Ceiling

The Baby Is Crying
Now The Baby Is Crawling
The Baby Stood Up
Now The Baby Is Walking

Look The Baby Grew Up
And The Grown Still Cry
Screaming For The World
With Feelings In Their Eye

We Start Life On Our Back
We End Life Just The Same
From The Womb To The Tomb
Such A Beautiful Game

Love Is Baby Food
For Cub Or Lion
When You Feel A Need Deep Inside
It's Just The Baby Crying!

Page 2 The Lotus Eaters part 2 of 2

The Lotus Eaters part 2 of 2
Fed them the one food they adored. In fact the only food they had in store.
Lotus blossoms, lotus leaves and lotus wine from lotus trees.
Lotus plants grew everywhere and made men’s heads dance and forget their own land,
friends, families and reasons for being there
Their cares were covered by the lotus spell
Great Odysseus knew this well and had to pry his sailors loose from their hypnotic grasp
Day and night his men passed in merriment lost at the mercy of the lotus power
Life became a dream and Lotophagi their Island paradise
In Ithica there’s poverty and war where battles bathed those days in blood
Reminiscing and memories disappeared in the narcotic mist or never was and never missed
Under the influence of this magical lotus flower, the hours draw on and on
No more reminders of love or lore on their own home shores
Brave and cunning Odysseus tricked his men with promises of virgins boarding their ship,
in need of their handsome company, a simple day’s trip at sea for pleasures and picnics,
that's all.
The men were weak and hypnotized, fell as easy prey, victims to his lies.
Still, he had to tie them down (for their own safety.)
At sea they all got sick, wakened quickly from the captive hold of lotus girls and lotus ways.
“This rock is not ours!” The great Odysseus yelled. “The spell has ended!”
“Let us leave and let the withdrawal begin!”
Ithica is a long way down but luck and fate is on our side. South winds will guide our way.
Cape Malea is in sight. The Peloponnesus is at hand. A fresh breath of life headed westwards,
a course that’s true and steady sailing for Ithica again.
Odysseus by any other name is Ulysses. The lotus by any other name is narcotic
and a rose by any other name could not smell sweeter…. Nor can freedom.

Page 1 The Lotus Eaters part 1 of 2

The Lotus Eaters part 1 of 2 pages

Northern unkind gales forced, with no care to man or nature
The cunning, the brave, the great king Odysseus and his crew to draw off course
From Ithica, their home and one true destination
A strange land happened upon them by fate and chance
Appeared from nowhere, but did enchant them one and all
We’ve come to learn this is the Isle Lotophagi.
Glorious scented lotus fields rolled up, waving against moving vast hills
Winds gave them life over flowing there
With majestic summer’s heated wilds Holding the world intact
Boulders lined up as giants against the ancient unencumbered breathing skies
Virgins in yellow and pink silk, filled in the silence of morn with vigilance
While gathering sweet cold water in fragile jugs along the foreign stream
Within the golden landscape scene the lotus eaters lived
In tender innocence, no cares in the world, or of their fate awaiting
Hectic red steadfast on earth this day as sun rose stronger than venues of time
But not too late
To mold the landscape, shape it in its style, in brightness that takes the sight of man to shelter
The cunning Odysseus, and his men are hungry, tired, worn of war and lust for water from that shore
Before they sail to Ithica with furor to their missions end
Determined one and all
They must rest, take in splendors of this world and learn their love and lore
The king and sailors did much more. The lotus eaters, as they’re called
                       (see page 2 next posting)

In Between

There’s a moment when, crossing between two streetlamps, a double shadow appears,
arching from your fears, a body projected through years onto cracked concrete.
So, stopping, you watch it split in separate directions, no fixed perfections,
all later corrections point from now dividing as forces pull one into two,
coloured red or blue at different ends of the spectrum, matter is best left some space,
life isn’t a race in the traditional sense, but against the perception of yourself.
Worrying is bad for your health, because as much as television may scream in your ear,
grinding each individual gear, you need not wealth,
but a hand to pick you up and dust you off when you fall,
no problem at all, giving pats on the back, setting the wheels back on the track,
in motion again you walk on from staring at your shadow, standing won’t help you grow.
And I know it says not to walk towards the light, but this time it’s alright,
because looking back won’t help either. As a fighter, neither Rocky nor Rambo,
you face the night ahead, spit to clear your mouth of lead, and strut on son,
because you are only born once, and you only die once,
but it’s what you do between the two that makes you awesome.

The Desert Edge (part two)

On comes a traveler from lands that I have not wandered only visited
Bringing with him memories of the pains I have borne through my life
Like the desert whose dunes I dared only once to climb when youth held me fast
A fleeting grasp, a tentative hold that was as it must be for us all I have come to see
In those valleys of sand where the sun drank from my body ravenously to crack my skin
I saw only once the whispering vision of life in the distance
Shimmering in the heat of the burning sands stood an oasis many miles deeper
So I set out with that vision hardly in my mind across the desert
Over mountainous dunes and into abyssal valleys with the sun raking my back
I walked and then I crawled when my feet became blistered stumps rubbed raw
I crawled until my hands and knees bled
I crawled until I held my head high no longer
Still I wandered, still I moved despite the sand choking my eyes closed
I crawled my body burned and my eyes blinded by sun and sand
Only to find my way back to this shack on the Desert’s edge
My journey had betrayed me I believed
My journey had twisted me all around I thought
Until today when came a wanderer through the desert forge
To sit down and rest with heavy sigh and cloud of slowly settling sands

On his shoulder sat a grey old owl watching me silently with eyes of tired wisdom
In his arms the man carried his second friend a satyr with ivory pipes to match his horns
I nodded in quiet solitude rocking back and forth in my old wooden chair

So it was that we listened to the gentle creaking of the wood
Listened to thunder rolling in off the great Blue Divide
Listened to wind shushing through the leaves of Heaven’s Gate
Felt the heat wafting over us from the Desert’s edge

Neither of we two speaking, only listening until at long last with the sun beginning to set
The satyr stirred just enough to lift the pipes to his lips and then to play
A hauntingly sweet song of blissful sorrow like age-old memories of lost youth
And we listened to him play his song long into the night
Until the stars failed to shine and the curtain of day touched the veil of dreams

“Time to leave, time to go, time to say farewell
For there are roads still to travel and I have yet much to see
And so long a way to go,” he said with a quiet voice of strength

Cereulean Odyssey - the book

Gerrit Verstraete released his first book of selected poems titled “Mid-Seventies Crisis,” in
1980 ( Admiral Press, Canada ). “But,” he says, “it’s never too late. It’s not that I stopped
writing, I just didn’t know what to do first, draw, paint, write poetry, work on my novels,
write columns, and of course raise a large family together with my wife Alice.” A number of
his poems have been published in various magazines and publications, but his new
book “Cerulean Odyssey – the long distance voyager,” is the first volume of an epic poem he
began writing in 2004. Cerulean ( meaning sky blue ) is a personification of the artist’s
personal journey through the web and weave of life, a journey of art and faith that focuses
on Cerulean’s search for “the city of God, not built with human hands.”
The content of his new book is a contemporary style using conceptual imagery in a narrative
poetic manner. Much of the writing was inspired by his island surroundings, both on Gabriola
and Vancouver Island. One reader in New Zealand said, “Wow! I've now had my daily dose
of inspiration. Your visual poetry is truly powerful and transcending...I love how it reaches
out on so many levels and does not exclude anyone in its scope.” To date the epic ( in four
completed volumes – so far ) comprises over 500 tableaux or sketches ( individual poems )
with 200 in volume one.
The book is available online through Wordclay Publishers. The 6 X 9 volume is paperback,
full colour cover, and 124 pages at $25 US ( plus S & H ). Simply log on to
www.wordclay.com, select the “bookstore” and type in the author’s name: Gerrit Verstraete.
Lots more information about the book is posted. Currently Gerrit is writing the fifth volume of
the epic. So, if you’ve ever wanted to own a Verstraete for less than fifty bucks ( many know
him for his fine art drawings and abstract paintings ), enjoy a copy of “Cerulean Odyssey.”

A journey to the Mountain (never stop believing) pt.1

I remember the white only and black only drinking water fountain. I remember the
struggle's of hatred, and last but certian not lease someone close his eye's and
dream-that dream was the answer of the sacrifices and lost of live's during that
inapprobiate turn of the century a perculiar group had to face during, "A journey
to the Mountain." I have a dream, an aftermention that open the close eye's of
racism. The close eye's of a klan that tried to stop the struggle to the mountain.
Didn't want it(the dream)to come true. I remember his speech and today it ring's
a perculiar volume into the ear's of our childrens, a sound they're not hearing be-
cause they have other thing's to do. "I've been to the Mountain Top", and look over
it. And on this journey, I might not get there with you, but now we drink from the
same fountain, in my dream the black, white, red and all the perculiar's above.
It will be his last speech, Martin L. King and the trailblazer's who help shape the
destiny of a dream. Do not scream, but alway's pray, a future generation is coming
loose at the seam.
A journey to the mountain-on this endeavor might a black one become President and
a white one get out and vote, judge him by his character not by the color of his
skin. "A journey to the Mountain", Martin seen it in a dream, do not scream for all
of God childrens is marching to the beat of immortality.

Never-Never Land

I stare out into this huge blue Sea,
And the waves, well, they just carry me.
My mind drifts so far away,
Because the Ocean is where I lay!
I’m off to never-never land once again,
So take my hand and let this journey begin!
I listen carefully to the Oceans roar,
The waves, well they just help me soar.
My mind relaxes with my day,
Because the Ocean is where I always lay!
I’m off to never-never land on a hunch for so much more,
So take my hand and let’s find new places we can both explore!
I can see blue water with big fluffy white rolls,
Waves, well they just capture my entire soul.
My mind just helpless with my day,
Well, it is the Ocean where I lay!
Off in never-never land I can always see,
A gigantic Ocean covering over me!
Far away in never-never land near the Ocean is where I always lay.
Lifeless in the sand is where I’ll always be.
So take my hand and be lifeless with me in the sand.
Together, just you and me on our journey to never-never land,
Just lifeless in the sand, together you and I and always we’ll be hand in hand!

Grasshopper

A lonely grasshopper

Although the contemplative may disagree,

In late Autumn when leaves change
A scented shade of pine pale torn brown;
Within happiness shift change to sadness...
Amidst the gait of timely hue

A brash circumstance to fully cooperate

Having no given sense of forbidden solace to relate;
In full view of its silence;
A lonely grasshopper reacts
Within myraid currency for distant fervor in restoration,

Now tired from its journey rests & waits;

In full view of solace by which to delegate....

Although in time stregnth comes in numbers stealling thunder

Amidst a surprising fall in compromise thought;

A long line of twisted ambers falling asunder
The firm swift call in delegation mixed with thorns;
In a wooden chamber created within its waiting sphere,
An illusion filled wit silent heavy members drew near,

With pulsating madness running through my brain

A bridge of hope to guide then suddenly elapsed in fear;
I shed a single tear for want to draw near,
In swift desolation a rest on a sofa
Silence...

Suddenly in full view the butterfly arise

Emerging in figures of candles with triumph from its cacoon;
In colors of lavender in mesh slight red with blue,
It radiates a slight quiver in my head;
At first frost the elimination of its timely plight,

The cue for silence as we follow its light,

To the natural man their is always a different way by which to understand,

That destination which always seems right;
With its elimination of truth,
One is completeley forced to live by sight!
In time, a lonely grasshopper is then eager,

A search for order amidst its fire;

The yearning quiver of its timely desire
With thorns fully grown in the place of fear
A soul twisted in vice can ultimately still draw near
The lonely grasshopper still embraced its life's journey after all!

A DROP OF WINE

A DROP OF WINE

A drop of wine shall fall...
On to a doublet
Staining forever
What was snowy white
Blood red
A passing during the night

A walk along the castle wall
I was there
I saw you fall
Taken from me
I heard you call

A drop of wine shall fall
Blood red
Staining forever
My heart instead

It started as a game...
Skipping across parapets
Such delight!
You needed it
Always done at night
A free spirit...
In all but name

You delighted us all,
with your antics in the Great Hall
I saw you fall
From a parapet
My heart ,leapt

You cannot conquer
The journey within
A drop of wine
Shall fall
On to my heart
Blood red
You will always be mine
Inwards , I bled

The call of tiny birds
Fluttering of wings
Took you to the stars
Where you saw,
so many wonderful things

The journey within...
Can sometimes begin
With a drop of wine
Blood red
Staining forever
Hearts , instead

EAGLE FLIGHT

cascading light
washing over me
on sunlit wings

fierce golden glow
feather edged sundancer

sun light in your heart

goose pimples of pleasure
sun trickling drops of pure gold light
dapple on me

sunbreathing,basking sunshine
golden wings soar
rush of warm wind,
blinding white light

blue silence
calm of mind
flex of golden wing
on sunlit clouds of white

pure joy of golden light
pure joy golden flight

feather of mind
feather of heart

sunlit heart

breathe me
soft golden journey
my journey
