Yard Sale Cowboy On CD

From here to wherever, I'll follow a yard sale sign,
it's a past time endeavor, for my collective state of mind,
I may buy some furniture, or a trinket for a dime,
yard saling is a pleasure, yes, a personal hobby of mine,

Yea, I'm a yard sale cowboy, on the trail of search and find,
and it gives me great joy, to see a yard sale sign,
from here to wherever, cloudy days or sunshine,
I'm searching for that treasure, ain't no telling what I'll find,

I may find brand new things, boots, shoes, or clothes the right size,
silver and gold chains or rings, or an antique will catch my eyes,
I could find my brother a nice bass lure, or a spool of fishing line,
or maybe a nice piece of furniture, or something for a friend of mine,

Yea, I'm a yard sale cowboy, on the trail of search and find,
and it gives me great joy, to see a yard sale sign,
It's a past time endeavor, for my collective state of mind,
Yard saling is a pleasure, ain't no telling what I"ll find,

Yea, I'm a yard sale cowboy, I just spotted a yard sale sign,
searching is a pleasuree, ain't no telling what I'll find,
I may find an old bass lure, or a spool of fishing line,
now one thing is for sure, I just found my cat a ball of twine,
and look here, I found my ol' dog a bone to grind,

Yea, I'm a yard sale cowboy, on the trail of search and find,
I may find an old bass lure, or a spool of fishing line,
from here to wherever, cloudy days or sunshsine,
I'm a yard sale cowboy, on the trail of search and find,
Yea, I'm a yard sale cowboy, ain't no telling what I'll find,

Hey Bud, how much for that there what-cha-ma-call-it?
Naw Naw, Naw, that there thing-a-ma-jig, there next to that do-ma-flitchie,
Yea, Yea, that thinga-ma-jig right there.....ya say three dollars..um-m-m..OK...
I'll take it...here ya go.....and how much for that do-daddy over there?
Yea, yea, right next to those 2 onion skin tires...Uh Huh..yea..well I'll be..
Well yea..I'll take it too...it's something I just can't live without...ha ha ha..

Hello, Good-bye, So Long On CD

You say you like to ride in my pick-up truck,
to sing karaoke, and drink some beers,
but how can you say country music sucks,
when your rappin' nearly burns my ears,

Well, you can think and say, but by the way,
I'm also gonna speak my mind,
'cause country music is what I'll sing 'n' play,
if you don't like it, kiss my behind,

And you don't have to stand in line,
to kiss where the sun don't shine,
good country music, to me, sounds fine,
but your yappin' rappin' just ain't my kind,

Yea, I'm a country boy, deep to the core,
if you can't tell by now, you're blind,
and like I've said many times before
that crap in rappin' just ain't my kind,

I know you don't like my snake skin boots,
though my cowboy hat you say is fine,
but cowboy boots are part of my country roots,
since way back, a long long time,

Yea, you don't have to stand in line,
to kiss where the sun don't shine,
good country music, to me, sounds fine,
but your yappin' rappin' just ain't my kind,

Yea, you don't have to stand in line,
to kiss where the sun won't shine,
and if my boots don't turn you on,
then I reckon you'd best get gone,
So hello, good-bye, so long,

But, before you go, If you don't mind,
leave a kiss where the sun don't shine,
since country music doesn't turn you on,
and my snake skin boots don't turn you on,
Yea, I reckon, you'd best get gone.
So hello, Good-bye, So Long.

God Knows I'm a Country Girl

God knows I'm a country girl,
and wouldn't trade it for nothin' in this world.
Long brown hair and big brown eyes,
I'll take you on an exciting ride,
to the big beautiful countryside.
Get ready to hang on tight.
Gonna give you the ride of your life.
Hair whippin' wild in the wind,
hangin' out with my country friends.
This is where the fun begins.
Raised up on fried chicken and red beans,
sporting my tight fittin' jeans.

God knows I'm a country girl,
and wouldn't trade it for nothin' in this world.
We can sit on the front porch swing,
maybe sing or even daydream.
Gonna have a mighty fine time,
sippin' on that strawberry wine.
Gonna live a mighty long time,
on this beautiful countryside.
Boy, I hope you enjoy the ride with me,
maybe we'll go fishing or even swimming,
watch the crane spread it's wings.
Ducks gathering on the big wide open pond,
lovebirds making a bond.

Yes, God knows I'm a country girl.
There is one last thing I have to say.
Barefoot and fancy free,
plain as the big outdoors I will be.
Why don't you take a ride with me?
Let me show you the big fine country.

Shell from Sawed-Off

I'm aware that
They'll dare me to surrender when my burner's unkindled
And the barrel is empty
Since their whiskey is missing

But it's in our blood and baby it's trickling and
We're on a roll

I heard from her and her merciless curves
That the curse'll come first
Just 'fore the rebirth
It's a thought that gets lost when you pitch it with a cross
O'er a plate made of moss so

I'll name it Shell from Sawed-Off
As I paint Hell from Far-Off

Like the Seraphim cherishing the heart
Who can't turn from the art
Like embarrassing a perishing enemy
Yeah, one last taunt

When told to listen as though it'd fix it
Something went missing
Although I didn't miss it
A relation on a ship quite distant and
Slightly free
Where the ocean switched and the compass died instantly

Oh it's in our blood, baby we're tricky so now
Out that ship has sailed

Like the Seraphim cherishing the shark
Who can flip 'round the ark
Like embarrassing a perishing enemy
Yeah, one last taunt

And our sweat is slightly trickling
A whiskey business, the highest feeling
And the pressure is highly tricky
A risky business, a godly healing

Buried Myself Alive

can you remember the time i let you in?
the time i showed you my heart?
the time i shared my soul with you?
the moment i poured out my blood when you needed it?
The second i saved your life?
The hour i saved you from your darkest secret?
The minute where you watched me bury myself alive?
Remember the time when you almost made me cry?
the time i made it a game to play your game?
the day i had my own time and took advantage of myself?
the hour it took to shut you out and let you go away for a long time?
well your going to have to ask nicer than that

My Rodeo Cowboy

papa said
son what you going to do
with your life

now that you have
no money job
or wife

he said papa
I'm going to
leave this town

think I'll
join up with the rodeo
and break them bulls down

Maybe even rope
me a stallion or
even a clown

Son you better
take another
look around

for theres no money
for bull riders
thrown to the ground

or being stepped on
by a horse or bull
weighing over eight hundred pounds

Papa I promise
Ill make you proud
of your rodeo cowboy when I'm done

And promise
not to be thrown or bucked off
to the ground

So papa please come
visit when our show's
in town

for I'll be
the one riding high on
the biggest bull that's found

hanging on for just
eight seconds while I'm
listening for that bells sound

just kicking those sides
of horses and bulls
jumping up and down

with coming out your
top rodeo champion and
bull rider found

HOME

Home was just a mellow state of mind
A place a rambling man would never find
Home was anywhere the rivers flowed
Spent most of his days on the open road

Couldn't find a reason to settle down
Morning would find him in another town
Standing still was too big a price to pay
He wouldn't have it any other way

He's a dying breed standing in the rain
Longing for the sound of an old freight train
Sometimes sleeping 'neath the stars above
Living the life he's learned to love

Got all he needs strapped across his back
Too much up ahead to start looking back
Live for the moment. Don't regret the past
All the years go by so fast

In a cheap hotel on a lonely night
He felt the pain and the time was right
He prayed Dear Jesus I'll no longer roam
Tell my Father I'm coming home.

Passing

To see her blog, adorned with pastel tones
Widens the gap that pervades my bones
For now we eat her passing meal of plain white rice
Leaving us all alone, without much needed fashion advice

The red light district has lost an inductee
For I would have love to be involved in her naked party
Yet for now we must all be content
With the debauched path she hath went.

Sadness invades a binary world
Where tweeters and bloggers hearts have curled
Bringing back memories of Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’
Her fashion advice precise like a mastoplexic surgeon

I remember the fervour when you were followed by Kath Kidston
A similar experience when I had my first Jar of Branston
Yet when you found out the intensity with which I was following you
You wanted to change species and become a Gnu

You learnt to accept my frequent outpourings of love
When you finally spoke to me, I felt as free as a pure white dove
But upon your departure I feel pathetic and hollowed
The best I can hope for is the number of one of the hot bloggers you followed

She was always my muse, my intimate inspiration
No-one can cause such an outpouring of personal perspiration
My heart now yearns to see her type a special tweet
One that would make Mr Sexton act like a dog on heat

Now the world mourns the passing of Lily Fulvio-Mason
I can still see her face reflected in my wash basin
With every heart beat, every full blooded pulse
My sadness streaked blood makes my body convulse

But now it’s time to go, my heart says goodbye
The pain eats my nipples like the Syrphid Fly
I can finally see your body laid in an eternal rest
And now I can now finally uncover your breast.

Cowgirl Hat Song on CD

She has a cowgirl hat and a set of spurs,
And sometimes she's as gentle as a cat that purrs,
Imagine that....she's my way with words,
And her and I together'd tame a buffalo herd,

Yea! she's the cats meow...can make a racehorse nicker,
Make a wolf pack howl...when our hearts are gettin' quicker,
When we go downtown to dance and drink some liquor,
We get unwound..meet friends...the mood gets thicker,

Imagine that and also this,
I can't resist her country cowgirl kiss,
And that is that and this is this,
She can't resist this country cowboys kiss,

Yea! she's the cats meow....can make a racehorse nicker,
Make a wolf pack howl...when our hearts are gettin' quicker,
When we go downtown to dance and drink some liquor,
We enjoy the sounds of those drums and guitar pickers.

And that is that...along with this,
I can't resist her country cowgirl kiss,
Imagine that...she's my way with words..
Yea! her and I together'd tame a buffalo herd,
Yea! her and I together'd tame a buffalo herd,
My baby has a cowgirl hat......Imagine that!!

Viagra and Beer

Too much Viagra and beer.
Too much Viagra and beer.
My wife was out of town,
I hit every club around.
Each time I'd hope to find
A horny woman here.

Country Bob's was the last club that was open.
Near blind drunk and horny, but I was still hopin'.
A pretty woman gave me a glance,
Smiled and said, "Nice pants.
Honey, I'm ridin' if you're ropin'."

A few hours later, I was in a Helluva mess
She's still ridin' hard and screamin', "God, this is the best!"
I was dizzy and light-headed. I had pains in my chest,
But she wouldn't stop long enough to call EMS.

When I came to, I was home in my own bed,
Next to my lovely wife; and this is what she said:
"I picked you up at Country Bob's, my dear;
And there's gonna be some changes around here.

You were fantastic last night;
So, I only think its right
If I supplement your diet
With Viagra and beer."

Viagra and beer. Viagra and beer.
She treats me like a king,
Says I make her body sing;
So, She makes sure I get my Viagra and beer.

Viagra and beer. Viagra and beer.
Yeah, she makes sure I get my Viagra and beer.

We're like newlyweds.
I need a break sometime.

Nashville, A Dog Gone Hit,

I left my hometown and didn't much look back,
headed southward bound in my Cowboy Cadillac,
arrived at this store to grab me some snacks,
Yea, they're right about this town, of how it really attracks,

Yea, here in the town called Nashville, where the Grand Ole Opry's on TV,
They say it's the real deal, where upcoming singers need to be,
but I don't do much singing, 'cause the hound dogs howl at me,
though I sure hope it's worth bringing, my songs, for some to see,

I've got them on the internet, downloading them is free,
I haven't had any right connections yet, but I'm hoping patiently,
gonna find me country singer, try to pitch them a dog gone hit,
like pitching a horseshoe ringer, you know you just can't quit,

Yea, here in the town of Nashville, where the Grand Ole Opry's on TV,
they say it's the real deal, where even writers need to be,
no, I don't do much singing, 'cause the hound dogs howl at me,
but I sure hope it's well worth bringing, my songs, for some to see,

Yea, here in the town of Nashville, where the Grand Ole Opry's on TV,
they say it's the real deal, where upcoming singers hope patiently,
Got some songs to pitch the singers, like me, they just can't quit,
like making a horseshoe ringer, knowing one of them could hit,

I've got them at Poetry Soup, where printing them is free,
log on in, enjoy the view, it's finger friendly as can be,
become a welcomed member, without any sort of fee,
no matter what's your gender, or your nationality,

Yea, here in the town of Nashville, where the Grand Ole Opry's on TV,
they say it's the real deal, where upcoming singers need to be,
Gonna find me a country singer, try to pitch them a dog gone hit,
like throwing a horseshoe ringer, knowing you just can't quit,

Yea, I left my hometown and didn't much look back,
headed southward bound in my Cowboy Cadillac,
arrived at this store to grab me some snacks,
Yea, they're right about this town, of how it really attracks.

Just A Farmer 1

                                            JUST A FARMER
(music and lyrics by Joan Donnelly Ellis/Genre County/Male Vocals)

Verse 1

I watched you work the ground with horse and plough
With just the hunger of a dream to show you how
and I watched you hide the pride when God favored your side
And you came home to Mama and me satisfied

Chorus
Just a farmer and your armour was tractor horse and plough
 and sweat upon your brow
A rising before dawn began to break
With shovel , spade and seeds to sow
 God's love and a rake

Verse 2
Your eyes spoke of a heart filled with light
You rarely judged but when you did you were right
And I will always view you as my Knight in shining armor
A special farmer, Dad , you were my life RC

Spoken
I know you tried to mold me a rancher from my youth
But my hankerin' was for music and that's the truth
And when my love for music altered the course of your guide
I know something within you died Dad and Mama says you cried
Now I'm not sure why or what happened that changed things
But turns out music wasn't enough to fill the hunger in my soul
So I called Mama to tell her I was ready to follow in your footsteps as a farmer
And Mama told you. Mama said your room seemed to illuminate from your glow.

Repeat Chorus twice and fade out slowly at the end

Continue to part 2 ....Describes type of Music Video I have in mind for the song

Tequila In My Boot An A Lime In My Pocket

In a couple of hours
 another town we'll be stoppin.
At a big ole country bar
where we can get the people rockin.
    At least until two
I know that place will be hoppin.

So I've got tequila in my boot, an a lime in my pocket.

Once those country boys
start drinking shots, their ain't no stoppin.
An those nice ole country girls
get out an dance, we'll be hoppin.
I know at least until two
That this big ole bar will be rocking.

So I've got tequila in my boot, an a lime in my pocket.

It's been a couple of hours
an no one wants the music stoppin.
At this big ole country bar
everybody wants to keep a rockin.
    But it's almost now two
an everybody is still a hoppin.

Going to have to get more tequila for my boot, an another lime for my pocket.

Soon the bar will be closin
cause after this song we'll be stoppin.
We had ourselves a good time
as we kept the people rockin.
With all the tequila that I drank
I don't know if I, can continue hoppin.

I guess that's what is due, when ya putting tequila your boot, an a lime in your pocket.

Hard Headed Women

< she's a hard headed woman
                                          lovin a soft hearted man

                                          when they get together
                                          they join hand and hand
                                          for loves be glory
                                          in this fairy tales story

for she's a hard headed women
                                          lovin a soft hearted man

                                          a hard headed woman
                                          lovin that soft hearted man

though shes stubborn as an mule
but can make that man still drool
                                          as he's so shy
                                          but captured her roving eye

for she's a hard headed woman
                                          lovin a soft hearted man

                                          a hard headed woman
                                          lovin that soft hearted man

                                          now don't you just think
romance can start out as a wink
even if it may be a little lie
come on little boy now give it a try

for she's a hard headed woman
                                          lovin a soft hearted man

                                          a hard headed woman
                                          lovin that soft harded man

A Cowboy Christmas

On a cowboy Christmas in the west.
Another cowboy Christmas song and dance.
Driving our herd.Drinking our ale.
As we make our way.Along the trail.

Ranch lights glistening.
Children listening.
To hear; Santa's sleigh bells in the snow.

On a cowboy Christmas in the west.
I think this Christmas. We'll be blessed.
We'll drive our cattle.Pull off that saddle.
Then we'll get ourselves some rest.

Ranch lights glistening.
Children listening.
To hear; Santa's sleigh bells in the snow.

On a cowboy Christmas in the west.
Our cowboy Christmas is the best.
Firewood burning.Charcoal churning..
Santa Claus smiling with the rest.

Ranch lights glistening.
Children listening.
To hear; Santa's sleigh bells in the snow..

Please Help Me, Re-lyric

Please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You.
You're just so damn sexy,
That's why I'm hittin' on you.
You don't have to love me,
Some good sex will do.
Please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You.

Yes, you turned me on
When I saw you walk in...
The face of an Angel,
A body just made for Sin.
Now, I may be real horny,
But one thing is true:
What would satisfy me, Girl
Would be to satisfy You.

So please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You;
And I hope that you're fallin'
In Lust with me too;
But if not, then please fake it,
Please don't leave me "blue"...
Please help me, I've fallen
In Lust with You.

Rodeo

Silhouettes and cowboy hats...stake their claim in time..
with cowboy boots and western suits...we also find...
those leather chaps, western tools, and those rodeos...
where cowboys ride those crazy bulls that go bucking to and fro...

Where wild bull heads are dropped and swaying...
as spurs rake bounding hides...
While the fans in the stands are saying...
"Ride'em cowboy ride!"...

Where cowboys are the shining stars in country western design...
as wild bulls and broncos full of spirit are the bucking ones of time...
Where spurs are often used on wild natures kind...
Yea, those wild rodeos are like a TV in the mind....

Where bronco heads are dropped and swaying...
as spurs rake bounding hides...
While the fans in the stands are saying...
"Ride'em cowboy ride!"...

Silhouettes and cowboy hats...stake their claim in time...
Cowboy boots and western roots...everywhere we find...
that cowboys are the shining stars in country western design...
and those great wild rodeos are like a TV in the mind...

Where wild bull heads are dropped and swaying...
as spurs rake bounding hides...
Where the fans in the stands are saying...
"Ride'em cowboy ride!"...

Where bronco heads are dropped and swaying...
as spurs rake bounding hides...
Where the fans in the stands are saying....
"Ride'em cowboy ride!"....

Yea, cowboys are the shining stars riding wild natures kind...
And those great wild rodeos are like a TV in the mind.

That Cowboy Ain't Crazy Song on CD

Yes, with pride inside...every cowboy rides...
even the very first...
and every rider decides, what hide to ride...
knowing they may hit the dirt,

And that cowboy ain't crazy...
ridin' that buckin' horse..
and that rider does amaze me...
astride that ropin' horse...

And that cowboy is blazingly...
ridin that cuttin' horse...
No that jockey can't be lazy...
winnin' on a racin' horse...

And no cowboy can hide what's deep inside...
what's country right from birth...
and every rider alive...rides with pride...
even the very first....

Even a youngster finds pleasure...
rockin' on a rockin' horse...
and a youngster learns to treasure....
playin' cowboy...yes, of course....

Yes, with pride inside, every cowboy rides...
even the very first...
and every rider decides, what hide to ride...
knowing they may hit the dirt...

And no cowboy can hide, what's deep inside...
what's country right from birth...
yes, every rider alive, rides with pride....
for every moments worth....

Ya'll.....that cowboy ain't crazy...
just a little country on a horse.

Just A Farmer 2

CONTINUES FROM : Just A Farmer 1

NOTE: Type of Music Video I had in mind is one that starts out with the son driving home but arrives too late and his Dad has died. After the funeral the son drives to the cemetery, gets out of the car and walks toward his Dad's headstone. The son removes his cowboy hat and begins to talk to his Dad's spirit....
I'm remembering our favourite fishing hole...Do you remember when you near lost your lure studded hat . When you and old Misery begin the routine combat. You fell in the river and old Misery got away...again ! I laughed myself to tears as you thundered home soaking wet . (silent pause as son reflects) miss you pops (deep breath exhales and sighs) Mama sent your trophy hat with you . perhaps old Misery followed knowing you ..would be fishing in a crystal river way beyond the blue...(The son turns away from the headstone and is astonished at the ghost-like figure of his Dad. The Dad is wearing the lure decorated fishing hat and dressed in fishing gear, a fishing rod is leaning against a tree. the Dad smiles & waves as the son stands speechless. The Dad reaches for his fishing rod, rests it on his shoulder. The son comes out of his trance and waves back just in time. The Dad turns and begins to whistle as his ghostly figure slowly evaporates. The son now filled with peace and joy replaces his cowboy hat on his head and walks to his car. He opens the drivers door to find lying on the passenger seat is his Dad's lure studded fishing hat)
(ALTERNATIVE Part in MUSIC VIDEO) the son could ride his horse to the cemetery and upon returning to the horse find his Dad's lure decorated hat slung over the saddle horn)

Way Out In The Country

Way out in the country.
That's where I want to go.
Way out in the country.
That's where I want to go.

You see them deep dark forest.
Along the country road.
You see them deep dark forest.
Along the country road.

I see them smiling faces.
As I make my way.
I see them smiling faces.
As I make my way.

Way out in the country.
That's where I want to go.
Way out in the country.
That's where I want to go..

You see them woman they know.
What type of man I am..
You see them woman they know..
What type of man I am..

They know I'm no stranger.
When I make my way.
They know I'm no stranger.
They give me fortune and fame..

Way out in the country.
That's where I want to go..
Way out in the country..
That's where I want to go..

Too Tall Dan

There was a man; named, Too Tall Dan.
He was a stranger, a lonely drifter.
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan..
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan..
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan..

When he was young; yet, so brave and strong.
He showed his strength to other men.
He had the courage.
He had the pride.
He stood alone, with no one else.
A lone survivor..

Just a man!
Named, Too Tall Dan.
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan...
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan...
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan...

Some felt his power.
His strength and courage.
He had a love for life.
A never ending spirit.

He put his life down.
To fight for freedom.
He fought for everything in life.
A new beginning.

Still a man!
Named, Too Tall Dan.
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan..
He held a gun a side his hand.
That! Too Tall Dan...
He held a gun a side his hand..
That! Too Tall Dan..

WHISTLE ALONG TRAIN AS YOUR STEAM PUFFS

Unlikely the explorers of the Wild West,
I'm bound for sheer adventure, not amazing discovery;
finding gold is far from any quest
while this clanking, slow-moving stream locomotive
will take me to places so primitive...
even a small ghost town has tales that conjure mystery!

Whistle along train as your steam puffs...
reaching clouds and turning them into raindrops,
California is still a seeker's dream for the unhappy folks living
in bustling cities enduring noise and pollution;
soundless are the canyons drifting
by without any fearless cowboy riding,
but the watchful coyotes will resent this intrusion...
whenever your whistle startles them when they are napping!

Whistle along train as your steam puffs,
I didn't bring along a single book to read not to be distracted by reality,
only a huge map showing me historic towns...
where daily shootings were as common as drinking whiskey!
Imagine seeing the ghosts of Billy the Kid and Jesse James
roam the dusty streets ready to start a gunfight;
see crowds gather and wait for the winner to shout...
it's like watching a Clint Eastwood's western movie drawing his guns!

Last Song of the Old Cowpoke

Oh, your saddle needs a soapin'
And your spurs are flecked with rust--
And there ain't much need for hopin'
'Cause your boots are touched with dust.

The days last a little longer--
There ain't nothin' much to do--
But memories grow stronger
'Cause your ridin' days are through.

You sing in that roan rockin' chair
And you ain't got no regret--
Days go by as you sit and stare
But some things you don't forget.

The West is still within your mind
And you smell the sea and sage--
You never knew the modern grind--
You're young at heart and never age.

Oh, your cowpoke hat's a hangin'
And your fringe of hair is gray--
There's no dinner bells a clangin'
At the end of lonesome day.

Yes, these days aren't meant for moapin'--
In the good Lord you will trust--
For no more you'll go a ropin'--
Now you're ridin' with the dust.

Cowboy Heaven

John Wayne will be there
and the steaks will be rare,
in Cowboy Heaven;
And the Posse will be – not gunning for me
- in Blue Yonder sky

The saloon’s never dry,
it’s all free - you don’t buy,
in Cowboy Heaven;
Three fingers of rye, no more patch on my eye
- in Blue Yonder Sky

I’ll be riding off into the sunset,
Saddled up on my trusty old steed
But my permanent ‘get out of jail’ card,
guarantees that by dawn I’ll be freed

The Good Sheriff will be
on the lookout for me,
in Cowboy Heaven;
Keeping injuns at bay,
sending snakes the wrong way
 - in Blue Yonder sky

My horse just won’t care,
‘cos them spurs won’t be there,
in Cowboy Heaven;
He’ll be swishing his mane
on the tumbleweed plain
- in Blue Yonder Sky

There’ll be pictures of me
nailed on every tree,
in Cowboy Heaven;
But there’ll be no reward ,
cos’ I’m loved by my Lord
 - in Blue Yonder Sky

All the good guys in white,
and fightin’ the good fight,
in Cowboy Heaven;
What a place it will be -
and the Whiskey’s on me
- in Blue Yonder Sky

Wind Song, With Birds

The wind
howled ice-cold, clear-sky
lullabies

and awoke the moon,
who gazed, heavy-lidded,
at the stars around her

Leaves and dust
danced sambas and pirouetted
along the desert's river,

who was shivering uncontrollably
while midnight birds
struggled to fly upstream

against the manic,
stinging, musical currents
of turbulence and wonder

Radiant smile

I can remember that day…like it was just yesterday. The pain inside, was too much to
bear. As they lowered you in the ground, my world came a crashing down. No more
would I ever see your radiant smile. That day is still a blur…as I drank the night away.
Hoping it was all just a dream? But, reality came around and my emotions broke me
down…and it all came a crashing down. It took me by surprise as those tears filled my
eyes. My drink became a salty river of tears…I can still hear the Reverends last words
as he commended your body to the earth. I was around town feeling sorry for myself,
my emotions were coming down…I could still he his words as he commended you to the
earth, but my heart couldn’t let you go. As they held me back from jumping in your
grave…the emotions started to fill my soul, I was around town feeling so sorry for
myself. Try to drown my pain with whiskey and beer…but those emotions came a
tumbling down. As my drink became a salty river of tears, no more…no more…would I
ever hear your laughter, that seemed as though it could fill the ever after. Later that
night as I lay down to sleep, I reached over to that empty spot where you use to be…I
swear I could almost hear you say, “ Dry your tears, someday we will be back together
as we laugh together in this life here after…so weep no more. I’ll see you on the other
side.” As I closed my eyes, the pain began to subside…I knew one day soon I’d get to
see your radiant smile and hear your laughter.

Pricked

Your love pricks me like a rose each thorn grows but no one knows Your so full of
it as it shows so carry on now go on, go. I'm fed up with the phony and i'm
through with the tears, you couldn't pay me all your money to make up for those
years. Someone help me I feel faint how could I think he was such a saint and
worst of all I let me fall into a spiral down below. A magic called love carried
by the dove of someone I use to know.

          Tears - Are As Old
         … As East Of Eden

           Pain - Is As Old
         … As East Of Eden

          Woes - Are As Old
… As East Of Eden …

-------------------------The Soul I Sold------------

If I seem down forgive me Frowns I carry around live in me When I break you see right through me GIVE BACK THE SOUL I SOLD... The hurt I’ve learned brews in me GIVE BACK THE SOUL I SOLD... Your words so true renew me If only you'd re-design me Take time rewind refine me Recreate the mold without lies I’ve told... GIVE BACK THE SOUL I SOLD... The hurt I’ve learned brews in me GIVE BACK THE SOUL I SOLD....
