Lost in the Autumn Air

Words tremble
Crisp winds bear burdens
Summer promised, as daylight drifts away
Your heart.... singing in choirs of fading bloom
Hears not

The Ugly Truth

Riches
Rampant beneath
The surface, a body
Dressed in curves, hard edges, and sea
Bounty.

Goodness
That is needed
By the masses, a gift,
Yet used for self gain carelessly
A rift.

By those
Who pursue greed
Seeking gains and power
Without the checks and balance of
Nature.

We see
The ugly truth
Over the globe, high bill
Of disasters and waste so crude
Oil Spills.

Anxiety

anxious
pulse pounds in throat
stomach flutters skin crawls
metal taste on tongue, a pale pall
heartbreak

heart break
hands wrung red, raw
cancerous lips, chewed sore
nails ripped from their beds bleeding, worn
anxious

Too Loud

too loud

Young Girls Pain

Love
Deceitful, wicked
Weeping, cringing, loathing
Things children shouldn’t feel
Hate

Intimacy
Repulsive, severe
Struggling, bleeding, collapsing
My pain continues unheard
Father

Hope
Abandoned, faulty
Hiding, listening, praying
Life is my suffering
Justice

Purpose
Forbidden, fruitless
Reeling, clutching, grinning
The agony has ended
Redemption

The Key Holder

Open
A gate, a key
To greater turmoil
Overture to greater beauty
Unspoiled.

Fear not
Discovery
When your eyes look upon
Rough trail, hiding territory
Beyond.

Count not,
Walk regardless
Of the pros and the cons
Dreams are in the making, unless
You doubt.

Seek Ye
That gate, that key
That you may come to know
Treasure untold; that ye the key
Do hold.

My Destiny

Each day As if through night I walk, searching my way Holding in my hands, a flashlight eyes strained. Watching The road closely I stay on the small path Stepping over rocks, avoiding Ivy. But soon The flashlight dies I know I must go on Yet feel blind in pitch black night, I stop. I hear The night's music Around me like a voice That sings to me a melody Of love. I wait With my faith strong I know something will change And I raise my voice in response Clouds part. The moon Is then revealed I see the path clearly Before dawn I'll be where I belong, With thee. Be Gone!

Be gone!
Out of my thoughts
You who caused me distraught
I won't let my heart break by your
Arrows.

Be gone!
Won't let my soul
Fall upon these stones and
With the plight of volatile storms
Turn cold.

Be gone!
Out of my head
Raging thoughts that cause dread
Let me fly with the swallows and
Change course.

When Hate Becomes You

Hate
Ignorant fears
Jealousy, envy, tension
Grows into something dangerous
Death
