Wise Men Still Seek Him Today

W-hen the fullness of time had come, Jesus was born behind an Inn in a cave-like stable.
I-n the Inn there was no room for the Son of God, no room for the Saviour of men.
S-tar was shining so bright above the stable for the shepherds to find their way to Him.
E-ven angels proclaimed His birth to those shepherds "Unto you is born this day."

M-anger is where Mary and Joseph first laid him. It was filled with hay.
E-very animal there must have known that their Creator had come that day.
N-o one knew the depth of love God had, to give His Son to dwell among men.

S-ame star guided three kings from the Orient, who studied the stars and heavens.
T-hese wise men from the East came saying "Where is He that is born King"
I-n their hands they brought him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrr.
L-ike these three wise men, wise men still seek him today!
L-ove is the reason that God sent His only Begotton Son into the world to save us.

S-eeking for you and me, yes God was seeking for us because we had left Him.
E-veryone, yes, all we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone to his own way.
E-ach one has to make his on decision to follow Him or not to follow Him.
K-ing, born to be a King. King of the ages. King of the past. King of the future.

H-eaven, He came from Heaven to earth to show us the right way.
I-niquity, the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
M-elody, He gives us a sweet melody, we sing many songs of praise to Him.

T-ree, A Christmas tree, the love that Jesus had for us, to die on a tree.
O-nly one life and how soon it passes. Only in life can we accept His Love.
D-eliverance, He came from Heaven to preach deliverance to the captives.
A-cknowlege Him and accept Him. Behold now is the accepted time.
Y-ou, Yes, this Christmas Love was for You. Will You accept this love?

Jingle Bells

Christmas shopping I will go
Red kettles at department stores
Sidewalks covered in snow
Bell-ringers spreading Christmas joy

Volunteers bring Christmas cheers
Give a dollar or two or more
For the needy the bells ring clear
Red kettles need to be filled

Goodwill is in the air
Giving donations is what it's about
For those in despair
It's the Christmas sharing and giving part

The Song of the Christmas Snow

There is nothing with so much life as a Christmas snow
The crisp air is still as little dancing stars float to the earth
Strong old trees become burdened with drifts of white upon their bows
But seem honored to be dressed in such finery and appear almost to move
In fact, everything has come to life to watch the snowfall.
Then everything is quiet
There is a whisper in the air
It ripples through the trees
See the birds, they are the first to recognize the whisper
As the Masters of Chorus, the birds know it is a song
They sit as true musicians memorizing the lyrics and rhythm
So, the snow speaks, the voice is old, like it has sung this song many times
As the squirrels could tell you this is a lullaby, and they begin to search from their
perches in the trees for the newborn
And life and love has never felt as strong as now
A horse in its pastures stomps his foot disturbed
Though he hears the song the birds do and the lullaby the squirrels hear, he,
along with all of the worlds creatures, could swear he just heard a cry
The squirrels chatter with laughter, knowing they where right and the birds take
up the snow-song to welcome the child they heard cry
And then they stop and the world is silent
The snow has stopped falling
The cry was only a memory from Christmas long past
The child, a child of time whose
Voice comes with the Christmas snows,
To give every soul the chance to hear
The song of joy and love and beginning,
So it is never forgotten;
The song of the Christmas Snow

Love in July

Someone is lost and afraid
Someone who wanders the night
Someone who cries in the dark
And who waits for the light
Someone clings by a thread,
Under harsh summer skies...
Someone we pass on the street

There are strangers we see
Whose paths we have crossed
Where the cruel fates were tossed
Where loneliness creeps
Where all hope has been lost

Don't cast aside...give just a glance
Where heartache abides, offer a chance
To heal wounded pride
Don't brush aside

Somewhere are those who have none
Alone in the sun
Somewhere a hungry child sleeps and a mother that weeps
So frightened each day of being alive
Look in her eyes...

Someone who needs just a friend
Someone who needs helping hands
Someone who, like it or not
Will need you to share..... a little, a lot,
Help her survive, or give him a start
A gift, big or small, a piece of your heart,
Carry her pain, so she can walk tall......

On a bright summer's day
Bring Christmas their way...
Where rainbows begin
To a place in the sun
Where the smiles never end

Don't look away ....be someone's friend..
Give a piece of yourself
Don't sit on the shelf
Bring joy to those eyes...
A Christmas surprise
Wrapped with love in July!!

A Letter To Santa Part Two

Tomorrow we’ll have a party, all my friends will be there
And Prezzies will be opened and Christmas we’ll share
And Susie will grin in her red flaming hair
And Alice with her doll, in her new wheel chair
Ned will strum his guitar and we’ll all start to sing
And laughter and cheer this Christmas will bring
And I’ll sail my boat across the Spanish Maine
Explore the Antarctic fighting storm and hurricane
And though Timmy’s Jewish, he’ll get his brace and his bear
Hanukkah and Christmas it’s the season we all share
And we’ll be as happy as we could ever be
And we’ll thank the folks from Variety
They give plenty of Prezzies for all us kids
And they come and play with us invalids
They donate millions of dollars for all child care
Isn’t it nice to know that they’re there!
Right now I’m quite sleepy, but I hear jingle bells
The sound of a sleigh “It’s Santa!” Tim yells
But it’s only the nurse making her round
Santa won’t come till we’re all sleeping sound
So as I lie neath the covers, all cosy and tight
I smile when I think Santa’s coming tonight
And I’m as hopeful as I could ever be
Santa got his instructions, this year from me!

Sir Cliff Richards

“Sir Cliff Richard ”

I do wish I could meet you, properly I mean,
To actually speak to you, would be a dream.
I’ve been to see you three times during the last few years,
Although sitting watching you almost reduced me to tears,
Tears of happiness that is, I hasten to add.
I’ve adored you from afar, since you were not much more than a lad.
Twice I have seen you at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall,
Doing your Gospel Concert, but there were no seats left in the stall.
So up at the very top we sat.
I was scared to move in case I fell flat.
Then you came on and started to sing.
It was a fantastic experience I would not have missed it for anything.
Although we went to see you in October, they had Christmas trees on the stage,
Because the show was being recorded for the Christmas edition of Songs of Praise.
When it came on television, I videoed it so I could watch it all over again,
And again, and again, and again, and again.
My favourite songs are “From A Distance” and “The Twelfth Of Never.”
I could listen to you, forever and ever.
I also like the song you did for Princess Di.
Although when I listen to it, I really could cry,
Especially the words, “All That Matter’s in the End Will Be,
The Love In You And The Love In Me.
With a 20 Year Tranquillizer Addiction, and Agoraphobia,
I’ve Been To Hell and Back.
But Thank God, My Life Is Now Back ON Track.
I sat with 12,000, People at Sheffield Arena, Just to see You,
Years ago this would have been impossible for me to do,
Now my greatest wish in life is too,
Get The Chance Just To Meet You.

Happy Birthday Jesus

Long ago, one Christmas morn, in a stable a child was born
Innocent, helpless and small
How could we believe He’d someday die to save us all?
On His mother He depended for his every need
How then could we imagine it would be by His blood alone that we’d be freed?
Growing up in a time and place so different from Heaven above
Living and dying here on Earth, what a symbol of His love.

To the cross He lovingly went
Knowing it was for our sins alone that He had been sent
Dragging His cross up to that hill where men were condemned to die
Jesus, our Savior suffered the fate while we were all passed by.

“King of the Jews,” that’s what the sign had read.
Hanging just above His thorn crowned head.
Blood spilled from nail driven hands and feet
As Christ suffered a death most bitter and sweet.

The pain and agony He lovingly endured
To give us the gift of salvation, most blessedly assured.
He never counted the cost of a price that was oh so high
Giving up His last breath so we may never have to die.

Today He walks amongst us, having conquered the grave.
Loving, hoping and waiting for us to accept the gift that He gave
When on that day so long ago He died in our place
Proving the power of God’s most amazing grace.

So this Christmas morning before you race for the tree
Take a moment to thank God for Jesus, for the gift of life eternally.
But don’t stop there, unwrap that gift of salvation today
What better way is there to tell Jesus………Happy Birthday?!

The Christmas Kiss

I was sitting in the crowded train station with time to waste, waiting on the train to take me home on Christmas Eve. A very pretty, young lady, carrying a full backpack headed for one of the only open seats across the aisle from me next to a rather dirty and disheveled older man.

As she removed her backpack to sit down he glared up at her; she smiled a beautiful bright smile and said to him, “Merry Christmas”.

“I don’t celebrate Christmas”, he barked up at her.

“Yeah? Well, that doesn’t mean you can’t be happy on the day that I celebrate Christmas. And I hope the day is merry for you as well.”

“What is there to be merry about”, he moaned, “A bunch of hypocritical religious zealots pretending to be nice to one another while the world goes to hell in a hand basket.”

“Well, at least for that one day, most of us believe the hypocrisy, and even for just a few hours, we practice the morals that our religion tries to instill in us. At least on that one day, for us religious zealots, there is a glimmer of hope that we can save the world from going to hell and, I, for one, believe that is reason to be merry.”

“Terrific! And, what does that get me,” he whimpered.

“Well, what you get is this one time of year, when a twenty-two year old college girl is not afraid to sit next to you; smile at you; and, wish you a Merry Christmas. And, if you just say, ‘Thank you’ and ‘Merry Christmas’ back to her, she just may give you the biggest and best kiss you have ever experienced.”

She stood back up and started to put her backpack back on as he simply stared up at her. Once she was situated and ready to move on towards her train, she stopped; smiled at him again; and, said, “Merry Christmas.”

It seems I was not the only stranger that was witnessing this exchange. All of those around me were perched on the edge of their seats waiting to see what might happen. The old man cracked a little smile. A glimmer came to his eyes, and he said, “Thank you. And, Merry Christmas to you, too.”

The girl leaned down and planted a kiss right on his lips for what seemed like ten minutes. Smiles lit up the faces of all the men, women and children watching this take place. When the girl finally pulled back, the old man was frozen in place with a big ole smile on his face. She adjusted her backpack and started heading towards the tracks. All the men she passed on her way who witnessed this exchange anxiously yelled, “Merry Christmas” as she passed, hoping for a kiss as well.

I looked back at the old man who was still in a dream. Suddenly he caught me looking at him and barked, “What are you staring at?”

I just shook my head back and forth and said, “Merry Christmas”.

“Yeah! Well Merry Christmas to you, too” he shouted.

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

Dear Alan Titmarsh

Dear Alan Titmarsh, how are you.

I do hope you and everyone else, enjoyed themselves at the do.

If you are ever in Ruddington, could you please give me a hand.

I’m trying so hard to create a garden, with a matchbox sized piece of land.

I don’t seem to have green fingers at all.

All the heads of the flowers, just jump off, when I’m playing football.

Everything I touch, and try to grow, seems to shrivel up and die.

It doesn’t seem to matter, just how hard I try.

Today I have just planted the Christmas tree in a tub,

I hope it doesn’t get some awful bug .

I want it to grow, but everyone keeps telling me it will die.

If it does I will cry.

Next Christmas I want this tree outside with fairy lights on it.

But if it dies my husband will bin it.

Yesterday I planted 100 bulbs all in tubs
,
But they will probably go to Australia or get eaten by grubs.

Last week I watch the secret garden on TV,

That is how I really want mine to be.

So please can you come and give me a hand,

And create me a beautiful garden, with this matchbox size piece of land.

Teaching an Old Dog

All I remember is going into the garage to get the snow shovel.

I am not even sure how much of the driveway I managed to shovel. Apparently, I was lying in the snow for several hours before one of the neighbors noticed me.

The next thing I remember is waking up from a deep sleep to the sounds of beeping machines with tubes and wires stuck into and on my body.

As I slowly regained consciousness and my eyes were able to focus, I was aware of a young, bald child looking down on me.

“Hi,” said the smiling, angelic face. Given the child’s age and complete baldness, I could not tell whether they were a boy or a girl. And, with the tube inserted in my throat and taped to my mouth, I was in no position to return their salutation.

I tried to remember who this child might be and why they were here with me. I guess my eyes displayed my confusion as the child said, “I'm Elizabeth. They let me walk around the hospital a little. Sometimes I sneak out of the oncology wing and look for people who have no visitors. I like to make sure someone is there when they wake up. I know I always like to see someone when I wake up from my operations.”

She just stood above me smiling. I then noticed she was holding my hand.

“Sometimes it is hard for family members or friends to come visit. Some people just really don’t like hospitals. And, I guess”, she said, “not everybody has someone that close to them. So, I like to become their visitor for them. I hope you don’t mind.”

I didn’t mind. Although it did make me embarrassed to realize that I fit in the latter category; I didn’t have anybody that close to me.

She just smiled at me and petted my hand as the medications worked their magic on me and I started to drift back off to sleep. I heard a nurse come into the room and say, “There you are, Honey. You need to get back to your room now and leave this nice man be.”

The next time I regained consciousness, I noticed a hand drawn picture of a house with a Christmas tree out front with a note that said, “I hope you get home before Christmas” and was signed by Elizabeth.

Each new day, I was welcomed by another drawing of Christmas scenes; smiling faces; reindeer; and, starry skies. All containing a happy note and all signed, ”Love, Elizabeth”.

After ten days of recovery and following the insertion of two stents into my heart, I was well enough to return to my empty home. On my way out of the hospital, I stopped by the Oncology Wing to say good-bye and thank you to Elizabeth. When I asked the nurse at the floor station where I could find Elizabeth, she replied, “Oh I'm sorry, Elizabeth is no longer with us.”

I then said, “Well can you tell me her home address or phone number, I would really like to thank her for visiting me in my hospital room this past week.”

The look on the nurse’s face indicated that I misunderstood what she had meant. Elizabeth was no longer with us.

Sadly, I started walking towards the exit.

Just before I got to the elevator, I noticed an open door with a man lying on his bed, with tubes in his nose and throat and nobody else in the room with him. I went into his room and sat in the empty chair.

When he opened his eyes two hours later, I said, “Hi, I'm Joe. I noticed there was nobody here when you were brought back from your operation and I know how nice it is to see a smiling face when you wake up, so I thought I would sit here with you for a while. I hope you don’t mind.”

He squeezed my hand; gave a slight smile; and, slowly drifted off back to sleep.

HOLIDAY HOME - OUTSIDE MY HOME COUNTRY

20 November 2010
By: Noel N. Villarosa

It’s been four years, away from my sweet home during Christmas day
Where I should share the family tradition at twelve and to cheer
To fix my webcam and headphone, and come what may
Welcome to my "Holiday Home" at this special time of year.

My wife and son displaying a warmth in their smile, reaching hands
With sluggish movements and static sound, trying to project it clear
At the peak of use of internet, bandwidth traffic, I tried to withstand
Welcome to my "Holiday Home" at this special time of year.

My wife with hand-held webcam tried to rotate to tour me inside
They have fixed old Christmas tree and angels as pendant for a bright nightwear
At the base, a glimpse of wrapped gifts with laces soon to be untied
Welcome to my "Holiday Home" at this special time of year.

I can hear voices of children doing their caroling
Barking dogs seem would like to join as their backup singer
My wife whispered to my son, ‘please give these coins as a sign for thanking’
Welcome to my "Holiday Home" at this special time of year.

The threshold of a doorway, visitors do come and bringing gifts
The elders incite parlor games with special gifts and cash to stir
Only happened after family went to a midnight mass for spiritual uplift
Welcome to my "Holiday Home" at this special time of year.

A portrait of the Holy Family on the first Christmas eve
Within that stable, baby Jesus was lying in a manger
On Christmas eve, Jesus will visit every home and this is to believe
Welcome to my "Holiday Home" at this special time of year.

The Fog Rolls in

The fog rolls in surrounding me,
My hand before me, I barely see.
A heaviness as moisture clings to the air,
Ghost like shadows from trees that are bare.

I walk forward I don’t want to look back,
I grab a new card from off of the stack.
I think of it like turning over a new leaf,
I take a deep breath and hope for relief.

I turn the corner there are lights shining bright.
Blue lights resonate and glow in the night.
A Christmas tree lit, entirely in blue,
Like a beacon in the fog it shines right through.

The Christmas tree lights shine much like my hope,
I try to break free with some slack in the rope.
They bring a smile and fill me with content,
As the fog thickens the lights don’t relent.

They seem to glow within the fog,
I lose my bearing as I trip on a log.
I feel like a ghost upon a canvas of white,
It all disappears within the confines of night.

I hear a bell from a church on the hill,
Its haunting sound from what was still.
It seems to call to me to just forge on.
All of a sudden the ringing is gone.

I stand in darkness just me and the fog,
Something awakens, memories it jogs.
I think of my journey and all I’ve been through,
What has been done and what’s left to do.

It hasn’t been easy though it’s not bad.
I have fond memories of great times I’ve had.
Still something’s missing as I look for the door,
I know it can’t be like it was once before.

The winds picks up, adds a chill to the air.
It awakens my senses so I really don’t care.
I stand at the threshold to the future and past.
I will simply step outside, the shadows it casts.

Dolly

There was a tree I remember that
Though the house seemed dark I swear.
Father had left us months ago
Now Christmas time was here.

Sister, well, she was only three
and knew not much of presents
I cried for many things that year
one of them loving parents.

On Christmas morning beneath the tree
a special Dolly waited
with joints that moved and eyes of glass
sorrow had abated.

Dolly, well she was an real angel
for she’d brought my Daddy home.
Convinced was I by twinkling eye
and sparkling golden comb.

Magical Dolly with moving hands,
no matter a bit broken,
the token Daddy gave to me
love had truly spoken.

Choose to be Happy

Choose to be Happy

I am happy because I choose to be; my life is far from perfect.

Others are content but I make conscious choices to be Happy and to be a positive person.

You don’t have to be rich or have a lot of money and material wealth to be happy.

Many wealthy people are poor in Spirit with all the money, fame and things that they have.

This Christmas Eve night as I write this poem I think about how I manage my money focusing on my needs first and then my wants.

I ask myself: Can I afford that? Do I need this? Can I wait for the store price to go down and get that dress on sale?

I hope that once I am financially stable with a decent job I can have a coat drive for kids age 1 through 16 in Trenton, New Jersey when every boy and girl gets a cute new coat and I hope that my story inspires others my battle with mental illness over 19 years…

My Christmas Miracle

MY CHRISTMAS MIRACLE

Yes, Virginia, there really is a Christ
Born more than two thousand years ago
This Man actually gave His Life
So all the world would know

That if we just believe in Him
And live our life in faith
Our hope of eternity will never dim
He has prepared for us a place

Although the world may never see
The Truth He holds for all
The fact that He died to set us free
Is the greatest gift of all

So my Christmas miracle, Virginia dear
As we celebrate His birth
Is that people living everywhere
Would experience His peace on earth

LET FRIGID WINTER COME

Let frigid winter come,
it feels nice to be lonesome,
seeing myself snuggled up
in a comfort blanket holding a cup
of cocoa by this warm fireplace...
while the wanderer's frozen face
is dotted with the whitest snowflakes
as he rubs his red, freckled nose!

Isn't this an unforgettable moment
to delight me feeling the thrill
of the Season with its distinct chill?
Isn't this the magic of Christmas
when joy is felt in a calm land
by the sound of chiming bells?

Let frigid winter come and cover everything in glistening, deep snow,
and 'though the evening will not have the moon's glow,
brightness can lead my footsteps really far...
shouldn't I play a Christmas song on this guitar?
I will go from house to house and knock on every door...
tingle everyone with great joy by spreading the message of the Savior!

I'm very confident that going back home
stars will gleam and children will roam:
singing, shouting, swirling and throwing heavy  snowballs;
happy angels will be heard on gelid gulls,
but who minds waiting in the bitter cold...
when a Divine Child comes down to redeem the sinful world?

The Greatest Gift

It's Christmas eve,
and in the dark I ponder
Alone with my thoughts
Over the year they wander.

Of laughing and of little tears,
Of reluctant hugs for dad,
Joyful smiles and soft I love you
Many good times, and many sad.

The Christmas presents under tree
Awaiting little fingers
My smile broadens wider
As on happy faces it lingers.

Sometimes I feel the loneliness
Biting through my heart
When I look at little heads
Cuddled asleep, in the dark.

For next to me, an empty space
That mirrors deep inside
The loss I feel, the emptiness
Is sharper somehow tonight.

Then from the dark a little sound
Daddy, please, I need you now
And to his bedside I will sit
To stroke his hand and troubled brow.

On this night, this Christmas eve,
I sit here no longer adrift,
Hold his hand and know for sure
That I already have the greatest gift.

Hot Snow in July

Walking under a burning sun
Listening evocative Christmas songs

Sweat furrows my motionless visage
Snow calmly is falling down

Alive drops dissolve my thoughts
A fresh breath gently stirs

Walking straightaway still alone
Looking for a friendly crucial turn

Nobody matching my broken mind
What's hot? What's cold?

Deep down somebody is already here
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Cradle And the Cross

The Cradle And the Cross ” 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matt 1:20-21 NIV The cradle of Christmas Has no meaning without the Cross. The babe we celebrate at Christmas Was born to win us back from loss. Part heavenly yet part human, This gracious Christmas gift, Was given to save mankind; Redeem the God-mankind rift. The Cradle and the Cross Show us God’s great love; Reveal his glorious power And his life over death from above. They give us great hope for a future— A hope that cannot die. When we acknowledge the Cradle and the Cross; Upon Christ’s life and spilt blood we rely. From Christmas to Easter We’re reminded of the Cradle and the Cross; The sacrificial life of God’s Son, That his own people sought to toss. The Cradle and the Cross Were prophesies of old. God’s child was born unnoticed by most, Yet worshipped with incense, myrrh and gold. The Cradle and the Cross Bring forth glorious hope; Show us that there’s nothing Beyond God’s power and scope. They give us reason for joy And peace in our hearts to reign. May the goodwill of Christmas Be with all on earth to proclaim! My Greatest Gift

When I received the greatest gift,
Was Christmas when I was ten;
That present gives my soul a lift,
When I think of it now and then;

I didn’t see a box with my name,
When I searched under the tree;
I thought my parents were playing a game,
And had hidden it from me;

I waited oh so patiently,
For my gift on Christmas Day;
And when mom put a blindfold on me,
I didn’t know quite what to say;

She marched me out the front door,
And held my hand so tight;
Just when I thought I could take no more,
I saw that glorious sight;

My dad was holding the reins,
To a horse with a big red bow;
He had ribbons tied in his mane,
With a coat that seemed to glow;

I burst out into happy tears,
As I reached out to touch his face;
It’s a moment I’ve remembered for many years,
No other could take it’s place;

My greatest gift was “Lucky”,
My horse so tried and true;
And I hope you’ll be as lucky,
To have a gift like that for you!

What is Christmas Really About

Quickly is coming Christmas day,
Perhaps you ponder with dismay
Amidst the shopping and the shouts,
What is Christmas really about?

Is it about reindeer and elves,
The gifts we wish for ourselves?
Is it about wrapping paper and bows,
Stockings stuffed with goodies clear to the toes?

Is it about family, friends, and feast,
The smell of bread baking rising with yeast?
About trees, lights, and cute decorations,
Parties, eggnog, and celebrations?

These commodities make the holiday bright,
But something else is required to make it right;
For Christmas is not about programs and costumes worn,
But about a miraculous baby that was born.

About Mary and Joseph, man and wife,
Who came to Bethlehem pregnant with life.
No room was left for them in the inn,
Shelter was found in a cattle pen.

The time of her delivery would not waiver,
In that stable she experienced labor.
Born into a place smelling of manure,
Christ arrived our salvation to assure.

Nearby shepherds tending flocks by night
Were startled by a glorious light.
Angels while seeking to calm their fear
Came proclaiming this event of cheer.

Told of a birth of a baby boy,
A king, a savior, who would bring joy.
His mission was one of peace,
From our sins to bring release.

Then with haste they went with glee,
Marveled at what they did see;
Found him in a manger yet filled with glory
Then left with excitement to tell his story.

So as we gather this December
May this jingle help us remember,
Christmas is not about dear old Santa Claus
But about the Christ who saves us from our flaws.

Christmas Everywhere

Is it Christmas everywhere?
Christmas parties and stuffed teddy bears.
Songs of merry Christmas delight.
Snow covered rooftops glowing at night.
Gifts of sparkling diamond rings.
Christmas memories and special things.
Holiday feasts and decorated doors.
Chocolate covered cherries, Oh! Give me more.
Trips to the mall to buy gifts galore.
Paying with plastic I depleted my stash.
Let us make a loan I need more cash.
Is it Christmas everywhere?
Are you sure without a doubt?
Because some poor child this Christmas will be without.
Give hope and love.
Give prayers and faith.
For those lonesome people on this Christmas day.
Is it Christmas eerywhere?
With war overseas?
People dying and starving,
and no shoes to cover their feet.
Is it Christmas everywhere, with so much poverty?
Families who go hungry, with nothing much to eat.
What about the homeless and natural disaster stricken lands?
It would make this Christmas merry for the wealthy to lend a hand.
With death and crying, and cold and mourning,
an unfortunate road to a path with no glory.
Oh! What a very sad Christmas story.
My home is my castle that shelters me,
but don't forget the homeless that beg on the street.
So, make this Christmas merry if you're able to give.
Share your heart with someone and allow them to live.
The best Christmas will be without a doubt,
God will bless you for giving to those who are without.

Wish

Wish

Seven years I’ve been waiting for
A Christmas with you I wish for
Just like the other years that passed by
My wish for Christmas never gone by

A thought bothered my mind
How do you feel fine?
How do I feel fine?
If it breaks your soul it breaks mine.

Everything you have to sacrifice
A tear drops in your eyes
I wish I could make it dry
But I too can’t stop myself to cry

I hope he will grant my wish
If not now, maybe next year
I would still be waiting here
The same wish that I wished.

WHY ARE WE HERE

Copyright © 2012

(A Purpose So Clear)

Like children we fear
  In secret a somber tear

Like learning to walk
 Babies listen to talk

And reach for a hand
  To help them stand

This too, we all must do
  By HIS Hand made anew

Christmas 2009

Recession made Christmas harder than ever before
Family’s splitting – money the core
Dad’s leaving to live on the street
So that young hungry mouths are able to eat
That some extra cash might be in the house
and children might learn what Christmas is about?
But without Dad gone, roof would be lost
for the bills are much higher – we can’t meet the cost
No longer can the average family budget
2009, jobs lost, even working struggle to afford it
Commercialism needs to stop building hopes and dreams
Childern don’t understand you are busting at the seams
Disappointment reigns as kids outside taunt and tease
No longer we fit in we’re all on our knees
Sinking. Even love has fallen apart
We don’t want this Christmas just haven’t the heart!
Expectation lower, depressions set in
Politicians not helping the hole we’re all in
Instead raising taxes they’ll crucify more
and this miserable life could be at your door
Will someone tell them that family should be together
sharing love, life, hopes dreams whatever they weather

Christ Child

In eternity past, the Father asks the Son to go down.
Having equal Love for humans the "Yes" comes fast.
When Creation leads to time, the world waits for 4 BC
Marking the start of the end of Satan's long rule at last.

Did Satan laugh at the poor setting for Jesus' birth here?
A cry in a cave for animals pierces the night, changing all.
Shepherds worship; later wise kings give precious gifts.
Mary and Joseph marvel, yet Herod's rage soon gives a call.

A call to leave quickly to Egypt where they'll live as refugees.
Sparing the Christ child a merciless death of those under three.
When Herod finally dies, Jesus' parents head back to Israel.
Still not fully safe from mad rule, Nazareth is their destiny.

Here the child will grow to be a man, following His parents rule.
Surprising the Pharisees with His wisdom at 12, at 30 riling them.
Preaching with authority, healing the incurable, loving the humble.
Women weep repenting at his feet; one's healed by touching his hem.

Zacchaeus risks going into a tree and finds Jesus' salvation so free.
Nicodemus comes at night to ask and ends amazed he's met God's Son
The Woman at the Well gets far more vital water than the usual kind.
And many healed can't but tell others of the miracle God has done.

The babe in the manger now stills the storm and his disciples believe
Even seeing the dead arise, like Lazarus in the tomb for four days.
Foretelling a greater rising coming but not before immense suffering.
The sword Mary was told would pierce her heart is soon on its way.

For most religious leaders cannot tolerate Jesus' lack of respect for them.
Calling them whitewashed tombs and pointing pride out to Pharisees.
Not endearing Himself with the establishment, but following God's way.
Knowing soon He'd be betrayed, arrested, tried and tortured brutally.

Still, he calmly feeds them body bread and blood wine in a final feast.
Tells them the Spirit comes, and prays they'd be one like Father and Son.
Heads to the Garden, prays to His Father for another way if possible.
Your will be done ends and the soldiers come and with Judas kiss it's done.

The most pure, innocent Man who's ever lived is now in hostile hands.
A trial by dark without witness or any rights – and off to Pontius Pilate.
Then Herod then back to Pilate whose wife dreamed Jesus was innocent.
But the people's cries to crucify win over – Jesus caught in intrigue's net.

The child of Bethlehem now hung on a Cross between two criminals.
The Light of the World by darkness and our sins is being slowly slain.
Feeling forsaken by God, but then "Into Your hands I commit my spirit."
Reunited and soon to show the world that this Child was no ordinary one.

Risen as Jesus predicted, for how can death conquer everlasting, perfect life?
From childhood to adult not one sin, not once yielding to Satan's temptations.
Proving we can have life eternal if we confess and believe in Jesus as our Savior.
Calling His followers in risen form to await the Spirit and share Christ to the nations

An Angel

An angel did befriend us, on earth, before one Christmas day.
Some say she was a comet, some say she was a star.
I say she was a gift from God, here to light our way.
She was a thing of beauty that shone across the land.
Leading to a humble manger, found in Bethlehem.

And what could be so important, for her to come our way?
A savior to our lands, and yes, our hearts and souls…
Triumphantly born on Christmas Day.
That day he was born the heavens truly did rejoice.
And she, a glorious light, continued to beacon forth God’s love.

Such an important part, that angel was given on that day.
She was a beacon to our hearts and the gifts of love…
Guiding the Wise Men and shepherds endlessly along their way.
Thru her we learned lessons, such as: patience, hope, and how to give…
And yes, she led us to the Wondrous Man, who taught us how to live…

So many candles to see the light

Like joyous green of summer, my heart is singing filled
With you, while winter`s white is witness of good willed;
The glass works and the hot red wine spreading light:
Comforting carols “Silent Night” or “Brad Frumos”.

Comforting thoughts of good like good miners,
And cakes a lot with names of saints and sinners
Looking the heart of sweet cherries strudel under the sight

Of mother humming “Silent Night” or “Brad Frumos”.

Smoldering embers and feeling like hot chocolate
With scent of incense offered to every Christian mate
Under the new temptation of good and hope of right

Teaching of church on “Silent Night”,under “Brad Frumos”

The sacrifice of the pig, a ritual Symphony in red,
At the other side of modal logic, with wine and bread
And slaughtered pig and soured soups that might

Be prepared and savored on "Silent Night" ,near “Brad Frumos”

The aromatic smoke ascending, and dancing heavenly
Like our attempt to preserve and conserve not only
The clay and flash creature but also the inner light

And so many candles to see the Light on “Silent Night”...

LETTER TO SANTA

He sat up late one night and wrote,
His heartfelt Christmas dream.
Dear Santa, I wont ask for much.
His eyes began to gleam.
I've got a baseball and a glove,
A rocket and launching pad.
I've got so many things to share,
But, I haven't got my dad.
He left us not to long ago.
He didn't even pack.
He went to heaven, Mommy said.
But, now I want him back.

I miss my Daddy.
I miss the way he holds my hand.
I miss my Daddy.
And I don't really understand.
I miss my Daddy.
I know he must be missing me.
If you can find him, Santa.
Please, put him underneath the Christmas tree.

He always hugs me when he leaves.
He always says goodbye.
I hope he wasn't mad at me.
It makes me want to cry.
It's not the same without him here.
Why did he go away?
My Mommy's eyes are always red.
She won't come out and play.
Dear Santa, I just want one thing.
The love that I once had.
I'll give you everything I own,
If you'll bring me my Dad.

I miss my Daddy.
I miss the way he holds my hand.
I miss my Daddy.
And I don't really understand.
I miss my Daddy.
I know he must be missing me.
If you can find him, Santa.
Please, put him underneath the Christmas tree.

I hope it's not to much to ask.
I hope I've made it clear.
My Mommy misses Daddy, too,
And wishes he were here.
If you can't bring him back to me,
I hope I'll understand.
You've always done your best, I know,
To make my Christmas grand.

I miss my Daddy.
I miss him every single day.
I miss my Daddy.
OH Santa. Why'd he go away?
I miss my Daddy.
I know he must be missing me.
Please! Find my Daddy, Santa.
And put him underneath the Christmas tree.

What If Christmas Never Came

What If… Christmas Never Came??? What if Christmas never happened? What if Christmas never came? Things around here would be different! It wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? Mankind would be in serious trouble! We’d all be in danger! If the baby Jesus wasn’t born. There would be no nativity. We wouldn’t be able to display this during our “festivity.” It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! Many say; “Happy Holiday.” They worry they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. Once again! We need to put Jesus Christ back into our CHRISTmas season! He is what Christmas is about! HE is the very reason! May we all take some time to rejoice in our savior’s birth. May there be shouts of JOY! From the corners of the earth! Let’s not take Christ out of our joyous celebration! We need him so much right now! All over this great nation! May we bring to him a heart of love for everything he’s done. As we bring honor to Christ. God’s precious son! May we continually offer to him a heart filled with praise! Not only at Christmas time… But all of our days! By Jim Pemberton 12/05/11

Christmas Mass

      CHRISTMAS MASS
Dear holy child, I celebrate your birth,
and wonder at the bright and shining star,
that leads to all the joy and peace on earth
we all look for, and it is where you are.

Yes I will light a candle in your name
on Christmas morning, when I'm all alone,
and say a prayer into the burning flame
to thank you for the gift too few have known.

You are my bright and shining star, you know,
throughout my life, in everything I do,
The gift of love is all I have, and so,
I wrap my love in candlelight for you,
Amen...

More than weather, can be frightful or Unseasonal Christmas

Used to be the weather was frightful
People covered themselves from head to toe
Now, despite the fact it’s Christmas season
I see more sand, than I see snow
The temperatures keep on elevating
To the moon, they just seem to rise
Oh, where is the Christmas of yesterday
The rosy cheeks, windows fogged with ice

It’s just too warm now for Christmas
Too hot to shop, too hot to run around
Santa’s working at the pole in a speedo
That’s nothing, we wanna see come to town

Frosty, it seems we’re not gonna see him
Heat miser, now, has gotten his day
Can’t ole Jack Frost do something about this
And chase the warm weather away
No need to chop wood set for burning
The heated air replaces that in the hearth
I hope it gets cold and very soon, too
Because Christmas puts warmth in everyone’s heart

It’s just too warm now for Christmas
Too hot to shop, too hot to run around
Santa’s working at the pole in a speedo
That’s nothing, we wanna see come to town

Oh, when Christmas day finally gets here
Right now, I’ll tell ya, all I wanna see
Are people with scarves and gloves on their hands
And snow bringing life to all barren trees
I want the temps to chill me right to the bone
That’s when I’ll know it’s Christmas time
Who wants to look up and see a sleigh
With a fat man in a speedo, flying around

It’s just too warm now for Christmas
Too hot to shop, too hot to run around
Santa’s working at the pole in a speedo
That’s nothing, we wanna see come to town

A Child's Christmas

Curiosity brimming over the edge
Heart that only waits but never demands
Innocence in a glance pure and sweet
Laughter and glee over the simplest gift
Dear and earnest gratifications flow
‘Softly illuminating the wondrous glow

Cheerful in the future prediction
Heart brimming with endless benediction
Rivers of optimism stream and buoyantly flush
Inner being and outward joy a healthful blush
Santa Claus prances with excitement and glee
Tree dear tree how verdant is Thee
Manger of presents abundant yet meager
Awesome, accomplishing role of a giver
Swirling and twirling the soft snow falls
Youthful and innocent how it enthralls

Party

Celebration comes when we see fit But we can only celebrate just a little bit 'Cause with all the travesty that surrounds us We look for a good escape, And it does not matter Neither the time nor the place. One man's trash, Is another man's treasure. So is one man's victory Another man's defeat. Never do both the men Run at a parallel. Thus, who deserves happiness When they both meet. This must be a familiar trait All humans tend to have in common; Plus fighting for our wants, And the things we don't see coming. We must find some form of joy, The smallest spec of it in our lives. Even if some of the joy Will bring trouble sometimes. So, we simply set our minds As long as the moment feels really right We will let tomorrow happen If we make through the night

Do we put Jesus in a Box contest

God came down and became a man
He wanted to fully understand
Since the consequence for sin has always been death
Jesus had to Indore our punishment up until his very last breath
He became the ultimate sacrifice
So all mankind did not have to pay the price
His 33 years on this earth science can fully prove, and his horrific death was recorded in history
The miracles Jesus performed, to a believer, hold no questions or mysteries
Many struggle with the concept that Jesus was God in man form
However, he did this so he could guide us through our life storms
God knew there was no other way
To save man from their future judgment day
He saw that humans had limited power
To resist temptation and be their own strong tower
So he sent his son to die for me and you
So we could live in heaven someday too
The only thing you must do is receive
Accept Jesus in your heart and truly believe,
Something so simple has become so hard,
For many in this world are deeply scarred
They question his goodness and question if he cares
For life can be extremely unfair
he never said we wouldn’t suffer pain
that the hurricanes would not saturate us with torrential rains
However He did promise he would give us peace
That we would walk through troubles with his release
He promises to turn it all around for our good
He has been misrepresented and misunderstood
There is a purpose for all who trust in him
He assures us that if you are his child, you win!
Yet, so many put Jesus in a box
Pull him out like old Christmas socks
Once or twice a year
go to church, say a prayer and then disappear
forgetting that God has feelings too
And that he is desperately in love with you
Many believe the lie that he is mad
That they are to damaged and have been too bad
They overlook that his love has never changed
Humans walk away from him, Jesus always stays the same
Don’t underestimate his grace and power
That can transform you in your darkest hour
You don’t have to believe me
Ask him yourself and you will see
You never know until you try
Don’t be ignorant; he is not just a theory in the sky
He is everywhere, at anytime
It is your wellbeing that is on his mind
So during this holiday season
Don’t forget to celebrate the real reason
The birth of Christ
Is what gives each person a chance at a new life
He is no respecter of persons, and he is not counting your sins
He’s waiting for you with his hand stretched out
Begging you to let him in.

Christmas Cometh

Christmas Cometh
by Ingrid Showalter Swift

Through a wind that never stops blowing
the house holds fast to the light
flickering candles in each window
hope calling out over a canvas of landscape base painted
in solid white

Auburn gold shadows creep along the horizon
where morning and night crest like waves upon each other
frothing sudden color in thier blending fight

Ruby red undertones flame up across the frost filled clouds
then die away slowly to golds and then ice gray
and then moonless white

in the lights of a passing car... flakes ignite..dazzle and die away again

an owl ...its bright black eyes
against round white face
calls out

"ahhhhooooooooooo"
swoops down across the vast field
its feathers struck out white
like white flames held aloft..........or flashing silver polished metal
against black forest and gray sky...
against
the now darkening of night

and I am reminded of a book from my childhood
that read...
"Who.... who... who ....are you?"

The candles flicker on dainty dancers of hope
leaping and falling and leaping again...
so like myself...I have to wonder...
do they never learn? do they never give up?

Turning from the window I smile at all the richness of the bright within
the colors of red and green...
the sparkle of packages and bows not yet even wrapped
but that will lie beneath my tree in time
the crackle of a wood fire...the smells of pine bows and of things I have collected
to celebrate these days

and I am merry ...in my soul
ever hopeful ever believing...ever true
ever listening ......

for your key hit

hoping it will still come someday...
if I am lucky...perhaps before Christmas has grown cold
in the hearth and heart once more

the owl calls out again

"Who who ......who are you?"

and I know who I am
I am a woman who loves a man
and for him I keep on the light
and ration like gold
the oil

Why Is Christ Taken Out Of Christmas

Christmas is the only holiday we often don’t call by name. We often forget about the true reason that Christ came. It’s the only holiday that we often call “a holiday.” It’s true meaning, is often, taken away! It’s more than the tree and all of the glittering lights… It’s time to think about the Bethlehem star so bright! It’s more than going shopping at the malls… More than, “Jingle Bells,” or “Deck the Halls!” It’s more than seeing how many people we can buy for. Or that clearance sale, you’re willing “to die for!” It’s more than buying the “newest in entertainment.” Or receiving a gift that may “cause an embarrassment.” Beyond all of the presents and all we truly believe in. Let’s all come to Christ Jesus and receive him! Let’s think about his birth, and his death on the cross! Without HIM… The true meaning of Christmas is lost! He brings the hope, joy and cheer that’s needed! Won’t you listen to his voice? That often goes unheeded? Christ is what’s important! And shouldn’t be left out! He’s what matters! And is what Christmas is all about! Let’s be joyful! It was for all of us that he came! And take this time to bring honor and glory to his name! By Jim Pemberton

Upon this Christmas Day

He sleeps there in a stable
The babe born to the world
Both mother, father watch with care

Though swaddled in a cloth
He is born, yet, to be king
With but just rags for Him to wear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

For within the early morning
Angels brought the sky a voice
Calling forth those who wish to hear

Along then, came all others
Knowing truth within their hearts
That all now have nothing to fear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

Go forth and tell all others
Who had no chance to hear
The news of hope and of the joy

Let them know the Gift of God
That comes to save us all
His son sent as this little boy

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

White as snow

A winter time kiss amidst swirling
snow fall, pure delight wrapped in
a festive mist.

A tender fragment in time, a glimpse
of a future sublime.

Warm lips locking, we cease talking.
For in this sweet moment our worries
are forgotten.

We now see with fresh eyes, washed
white as the fallen snow. Into the blizzard
of life with faces aglow.

We have a purpose and endeavour in faith
hope and LOVE!

Blessings Of The Lord

Day by day we perceive the blesssings of the Lord,
The snowy day that reminds us about the blessings of warmth and friendship,
Friendship that is distant and always remembered,
Miracles that are difficult to define,
A church and portals that you used to visit,
Structures beautiful, unique and powerful,
Hymns sung and bible verses read,
Choirs where the bells ring and the songs are sung,
Ministers preaching the wisdom of God,
Relatives forever loved and protected by the Lord,
Blessed reunions and visits redefined,
Talents shared and appreciated,
The Lord's poet blessed by God's friendship,
Athletic strength as a senior guided by God,
Royalty sacred and divine, a blessing to mankind.

My Last Poem For Christmas!

This is my last poem for Christmas.
I have so much I must do!
I have family and friends to visit.
I wish you all the best too.

     Come follow me in my travels;
Let's start right here on the NET.
There are people I need to encourage,
Some new friends, I've recently met.

Many are sad, ill or lonely,
I'm hoping to bring them some cheer.
Then I'm off to visit some old folk'
     Who've no family anywhere near.

I'll sit and listen to stories
Of times when they all had great fun.
I'll laugh, then we'll sing songs and carols,
About Christmas and Jesus, God's Son.

I'm trusting the peace of this Christmas,
Will be a great blessing to you.
That each of you will gain inspiration,
To carry you all the year through.
     HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

My Christmas Wish For My Souper Friends

Each year I write a Christmas poem
For my closest friends to read
I try to make the message plain
And one I pray they'll heed

How Christ was born the world to save
But first, He had to die
Be buried in a borrowed grave
All for you and I

The third day after His death
He arose in victory
His triumph over death and hell
Was done, my friends, for thee

The message heard on Christmas
Is a message of joy and cheer
Its meaning is there in simple truth
It's one I pray you'll hear

If He is not your personal Lord
I'll tell you He can be
If you respond to His Holy Word
And on your bended knee

Ask Him to come and take control
And guide you from now on
He'll change your life and make you whole
And heaven will be your home

So think about my Christmas wish
For all my Souper friends
You'll experience such spiritual bliss
A bliss that never ends

Written especially for all on Soup who read these simple words, I pray they have a different meaning for you all than ever before. In Jesus' Name, I wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS

A monastery grows from the songs

A monastery grows from the songs of its strange crew,
Monastery painted with blue of unique Voronezh blue
And a new comer, blond icicle, bare footed, gnarled
Deaf and mute -it is said -singing “Have mercy, God!”

Stalactite and stalagmite in their cells, monks and nuns
Some of them so innocent like the sober day that runs;
Hanged from the heaven of their great expectations held
From the glass dawn to noon singing:“Have mercy, God!”

The others in their rusty autumn or white winter,
All calling the Promised Land that started to glitter
In their heart and from this light the sky seems fired
And the forest`s echo repeated: “Have mercy, God!”

In the twilight mist two monks try to cut down
The evergreen tree to bring it for kids in the town;
Children glide on sleigh and even tired go later to bed.
They learnt carols and angels sing “Have mercy, God!”

The child with a name

It’s fortunate to say
A mother named Mary became
And gave us a child with a name
And all on the earth
Were all to be treated the same
He stood as a stone
But was broken and torn
Just all the same

And some want to forget
And not to relive
Anymore of his pain
And not any of the blame
Who ask how is it before
You ever were born
You were already giving a name

They cannot believe
In anyway conceive
That any love you can give
Comes just from a name
Why stay in the dark?
You know just who you are
When in the beginning
The way was lit
For you all, by a star

Not to believe that love
And the promise of it
Comes just from a name
But still the message is true
That is for all of you
Treat everyone the same

To believe we should not
Will always be why
Many of our children, still cry
And to live and let live
Be happy to give
You won’t even try

It is fortunate to say
Mother named Mary became
And is here to remind us
As we all lose our aim
But to remember this day
A woman named Mary became
The one who gave us
The child with a name

Christmas Joy

A good time is coming, I wish it were here; my favourite time, the best of the year. I’ve counted the dates, on finger and thumbs, for hours and hours, till Christmas Day comes. The leaves have all fallen and branches are bare; the wind whistles sharply, there’s snow in the air. I’ve put on my coat, it’s getting quite cold; but Christmas is coming – or so I’ve been told. I’m getting excited, my stocking is hung; the mince pies are ready, the Carols are sung. I’m told I must wait. I hear what they say, but oh how I wish it was now - Christmas Day! ~

For Jeramiah Jay Cook

Late at night, my eyes are burning
as I try not to cry.
I hold my breath and wonder
why you had to die.

I try so hard to fight the tears
as I lay around and dream.
Memories of younger years...
I choke instead of scream.

You battled many problems
and overcame many things...
and you were only a child,
No, an angel without wings.

You never had the most attention,
but you never seemed to complain.
But suddenly everyone’s in tears,
just whispering your name.

You won't get to live the life
you very much deserved.
No job, no kids, just shattered dreams
because you've left this earth.

You were only sixteen.
Its not right that you're gone.
Your heart quit beating,
but didn't quit loving.
Your spirit will live on.

My heavy heart is filled with regret.
I didn't say I love you, or goodbye.
And with memories I'll never forget,
you taught me how to fly.

Sometimes I wish I could turn back time,
if only for a day.
After all, God answers prayers,
but this one is thrown away.

My vision is blurred with tears,
I miss you so bad.
But I close my eyes and see you clear
and don't feel quite as sad.

Pretty soon I'll be grown up
but you'll still be sixteen.
but like you said,
God has a plan,
and in the end I'll see.

*Note*
Jeramiah Jay Cook, my cousin, "buba" and friend passed away Christmas of 2004 at a party.
Rumors fly about what it really was. Alcohol, pills.. it had only been 2 months since his own
mothers death (mine had died in 96') and so he got his Christmas wish.. to spend it with his
Mom. He has been having a really hard time with with substance abuse, but it was far from
what I expected when my Aunt called Christmas morning.. Someone I had always looked up
to, and grown up with.

The Night of Christmas

I'm spending a quiet evening
this Christmas - just by myself,
I'll light a solitary candle,
Sit snugly by the fire,
And dwell upon my life.

No one is coming over
and I have to go nowhere,
I have bought no gifts and
have nothing to sip or savor;

But wait...
Who now knocks at the door?
Who, I wonder,
would venture out in this
frosty Christmas night?

As I open the door
I see on my doorstep
A wicker basket with
warm loaves of bread
And a jug of wine
fetchingly laid!

There is no one in sight,
Hush all around and quiet,
But then,
through this dark
and foggy night,
I see
A solitary star aglow
And footprints in the snow!

Happy Holidays Or Merry Christmas

What if Christmas wasn't here? What if Christmas disappeared? Whenever December came... It just wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? The true meaning of Christmas would be in danger! If this happened... There would be no nativity. We wouldn’t have Christ' peace and tranquility! It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! Many say; “Happy Holiday.” For fear they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. The Day After Christmas

THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS

Christmas behind
New Year ahead
What happened to sorrow
No-one heard

Festive the spirit
Playful the heart
Everybody is cheering
No-one sad

Keep up the joy
Keep up the laugh
Don’t think of problems
It can’t be so tough!

Holiday Gift

The greatest gift I ever got, came with a year that definitely was not.
Health costs and a scam had emptied everyone’s pot.
The tree was bare with nothing to hand out…
And my son had to work thru the Christmas Holliday, we all sought.

We wished him home but he had to work if he was to eat.
And for several years he had not wanted, with us to be.
But this year had taught him we were better than he had perceived.
And he wanted to come home to hold and be hugged, you see.

At the last moment he got the Christmas Day off.
Our gift to him was the price of gas and food on the four-hour trip back.
But his gift to us… you see was the greatest of all…
For he wanted to come home and simply be with us all.

Twenty-four hours minus 8 hours on the trip.
Dinner wasn’t much but it was all we could give.
But no one noticed as everyone talked…
It truly was the greatest holiday present of them all… that we ever got.

Thank you God... your gift to us wasn't lost.

romantic christmas

christmas is about sharing, giving, and happiness,
but it also about relationships,
and love!

I can\'t wait to spend Christmas with you,
dancing all night,
and when out side alone with ur hands wraped around mine,
we will kiss, the snow will start to fall,
and you will look in my eyes and say \' i love you\' .

Like i said, Christmas is a time for caring, sharing and joy
But Christmas is also a time for relationships and love, even if you spend it with
just your friend!

BRINGING A FAMILY TOGETHER

When their very young dad went to jail,
they surely lived in a realistic Hell...
I would hear the youngest one cry over an article she read.
Who had taken her daddy away was too cruel;
nothing they said would make her understand,
why didn't the harsh judge break some rule?

The judge's sentence was based on actual fact,
no pleads from the children softened her hard heart as she read the sentence,
" He committed this crime to feed his family so ashamed of his act,
and even dragged his younger brother along to help him steal by cutting fences. "
Then she made an eye-opening statement, " I must abide by the Law,
I am a judge of justice and fairness...not much I can do in this case;
let him behave and his sentence will be reduced in ten years. "
Everyone in the courtroom started to sob...tears began to flow.

I visited them often, and they seemed different people who couldn't admit
what he did was wrong, assuming he was innocent;
their smiles became cheerless, their words loveless:
a part of them was taken away, lost to hopelessness...
the younger daughter locked herself into her room,
refused to talk to anyone and building that wall deepened her gloom.

Even this year they will not celebrate Christmas with the old thrill,
shopping for presents in crowded malls has lost that excited will,
not even the merriest Santa can make them smile with a jingle bell;
and he must think that they are strange kids who don't love the Holidays,
perhaps reading them the Nativity Story will change their moody ways...
and to bring this family together will take patience and lots of prayers.

How would I ask Jesus, the new-born, who would love to see these kids at midnight?
They must show love to make this miracle happen on Christmas Eve; it has to start
with a heartfelt wish and deep faith, then the Heavens will suddenly open up...
as angels will descend to sing the hymn they sang before they desperately wept.

New July Holiday

Warmth that flows within the seasons cheer,
To have peace on earth proclaimed again,
A giving time for all women and men,
To be able to see the children faces clear.

Smelling the pine that frames Christmas time,
Gloriously celebrating his birth so sincere,
Christmas in July comes but once a year.
Guiding happiness in this season’s prime.

Serving picnic cuisine with prayers enriched.
Family time together bringing love to all,
Dreaming of Christmas in July breaks a wall.
Bringing memories of an episode of Bewitched.

God Gave in Order to Save

It is Christmas time, for what do I wish;
For what hope or dream does my soul anguish?
Is something from my list under the tree;
Something chosen especially for me?

I wonder what good things we’ll have to eat.
Apple cake with walnuts would be a treat.
Some peanut brittle or chocolate fudge,
In pecan pie with whip cream I’ll indulge.

I’ll hope to have my family gathered around
Opening gifts making a paper mound.
We’ll take a drive, enjoy tinsel and lights,
Make memories as we gaze on the sights.

Yet midst the holiday laughter and cheer
There are lonely masses living in fear.
Poor, worried, abused, tired, haggard, and spent
In search of cash to buy food and pay rent.

Where is hope for these lives torn and shattered;
Who live each day, depressed, weak, and scattered?
Perhaps abused by those proud and greedy,
Who use their labor yet leave them needy.

God promises good things to these oppressed,
His merciful love will not be suppressed.
The wealth of the rich will be adjusted,
God’s balancing justice can be trusted.

Others are trapped in our sin sick culture
Where dark sadness hovers like a vulture.
Guilty of trespassing, hence they must pay.
With so large a debt they wilt in dismay.

Is there hope for these who have misbehaved?
Is there any way their souls can be saved?
Is help on the way? Then let’s hear the story!
Tell me please, is there a word from glory?

Yes, to these lost, broken, sinful forgotten,
God sent his son, His only begotten.
From the crib to the cross his life he gave,
All our mistakes and failures He forgave.

We need not perish in this world of strife,
But with faith in Jesus have eternal life.
God sent His Son, the world not to condemn.
It’s Christmas, may the world be saved through Him.

The Real Reason For The Season

Christmas time is drawing near.
Time to spread that holiday cheer.
Time to make that gingerbread house.
And on Christmas Eve to be quiet as a mouse.
I hope with all this we don't forget the reason.
The meaning of Christmas the reason for the season.
The fact that it's the day we celebrate the birth.
The birth of Jesus the one sent down to earth .
He was sent here for us to suffer and die.
He payed for our sins without blinking an eye.
I hope that we all remember that's the reason.
And keep that in mind while we enjoy the season.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IN MY CITY

Many Christmas Trees are seen
around the Yule season in my city;
they all are very tall and beautiful,
but the Rockefeller Plaza's Norway spruce
is the most gigantic and spectacular
with its multicolored, gleaming bulbs.

Come to the city, where kids turn into angels:
they seem real cherubs being sent by Heaven itself,
and these angelic messengers love to play
their carols to announce Jesus joyful birth;
come closer, look up and hear those voices greatly
rejoicing in this bright corner of the earth!

Sit down in front of it and dream
of the gifts stacked underneath your pretty Christmas tree,
but the most precious is this one, only decorated with lights;
and its green color and sheer simplicity,
can begin making a glorious memory!
And which carol will you sing for the crowds?

Christmastime is a wonderful experience on New York City's streets:
stores, pubs, restaurants and shops dress up with dazzling decorations,
every street has a Santa ringing a bell and spreading good cheers;
where else can you find kind folks wishing strangers a Merry Christmas?
On Christmas Eve, Saint Patrick's Cathedral echoes with hymns...
and Child Jesus smiles at children as they caress His soft face.

SILVER STAR

SILVER STAR

I have long since lost Hope,
because my paths are so endlessly long and aimless,
as if sculpted out of my restless spirit
in the long nights of reverie.
You know, Lord... I used to have my Hope.
It was so nice to stand next to the Christmas tree
with my mother,
and look at its proud top,
where our silver star shone,
my favorite Hope.
To me, a child who never decorated his own tree,
it was the biggest Christmas tree in the world,
and the brightest star beyond the heavenly dome.
Each night before Christmas we would return to the same place
with the same desire and faith,
until our terrible companions, the long, cold nights
have invoked death
and stolen my mother.
I am motionlessly standing and staring into this dark, cold night,
like an avenger yearning for revenge,
and a thin woman in rags is passing me by,
whispering warm words into a child's frozen ear.
The child is looking up with the same gaze
like I did when my mother used to show me the silver star,
whispering into my frozen ear
that someday I shall touch that silver star too,
silvering all the orphanages of this dark world.
Her warm words are still crossing my mind:
„Son, always stand on your toes and look up...
and you shall touch your star!“
My eyes have long since stopped sparkling
and they don't look up.
They used to be the big, bright eyes of a child,
that shone in the dark,
like two young embers that were just set afire,
but now... oh, now my eyes are but burnt out embers
in the squeezing fist of the cold world.

You know, Lord, how much I wanted to stand on my toes
and look up,
but life always threw me back to my knees.
I admit that I haven't been standing on my toes for a long time,
but I am not kneeling, either,
I am only looking down
into the dark reflections of people's characters,
and my Hope is once again so far away,
as if it's afraid of my faithful squire,
which is standing at the bottom of the silky net,
not like a flym
but like a master of many a fly big and small,
because Death has that justified purpose
to come for its flies regardless of their size.
I am not looking at death like a fugitive,
but a penitent man,
who wants just another chance.
How strange it is, Lord,
that even a man abandoned by Hope wants his chance.
Yes, Lord, I admit
that I would like to stand on my toes once more,
below the biggest Christmas tree in the world,
and touch our silver star.

The Dark Days of Christmas

2011 and Christmas isn't the same,
The silence and make belief joy
sends auspicious feelings far and nigh,
Revellers go through the emotions
just to avoid falling apart,
As news mongers spread doom and gloom,
Heralding the closing of schools,

The holidays have been reduced
to fear, angst and downsizing,
The dark days of Christmas has
everyone surmizing,

Spreading good wishes and cheer
may warm hearts everywhere,
The sentiments can bring hope,
to individuals who are unable
to cope,

Positive words and feelings
last beyond Christmas Day,
They can give hope and faith
all throughout the year.

(Family and Friendships Formed Of His Love)

The gift I have to share; cannot fit beneath your Christmas tree--
I come to you in the spirit of Love, bearing a gift of friendship true,
In remembrance of Our Lord and Saviour above

I ask Our Lord to lift you up and grant your every need

Come all ye faithful ~ sing the holy praises
Saintly men and women, as even the angels do…
Oh sinner man, I hope for your redemption too --
While praying and joyfully praising GOD
As He allows us to freely do ~

May his Holy Spirit be felt in the hearts of all, so true~

Does the Message of Christmas Offend You

Does the Message of Christmas Offend You?

I know of many who got somewhat “defensive.”
It has to do with something, they find “offensive.”

This seems to be the direction this country’s going.
People getting offended… And it’s showing!

The very appearance of a cross is “offensive.” It seems!
Many get offended by what the Christmas message brings!

Some try to get Christian symbols taken away.
It makes one wonder about this Christmas day.

The words “happy holiday” seem to take it’s place!
Just look at the expressions on a person’s face!

The nativity scene seems to be a thing of the past.
As people try to “rush” through
 this holiday fast!

If the true meaning of Christmas seems to offend you!
Simply look at the works of God,
 that surround you!

It was HIS love that sent the baby Jesus, down to earth.
So that one day, through him,
we can have a NEW birth!

A new life in Christ, is HIS message and meaning!
The greatest gift of all…
You can be receiving!

Won’t you take some time, from all of life’s stress?
And allow Jesus inside, so you can be blessed?

Let all come to Christ! Both near and a far!
He still shines today! Like the Christmas star!

happy holidays to ya

Happy holidays to you hope this year treat you right
and hope you get all those good things you like
yes may santa be good to you
oh! and happy new year too.
for this is the time that we are all filled with joy
where we each get a chance to feel like girls and boys
you know we are blessed just by being here
to see the ending and beganning of the year
last year might have been rough we had alot on our shoulders
and it's going get worst as we get become a year older
that's why we think this time of year is so great
gives us a minute to just relax and celebrate
a time to mend ties with family and friends
a time to show love for our fellow men
so if you dont get what you want dont pout
that's not even what christmas is all about
we've lost focus on why we celebrate this day
so let'e bring that back before they try to take it away
after all that's the reason that we're all still here
merry christmas to all and a happy new year.........

THE STARRY ILLUMINATION

The starry illumination
reflected upon the glazed Christmas snow,
which had fallen much earlier as silent children
waited with anticipation, not showing a frown;
they wished to see Santa's sleight flying low:
would he do away with this old tradition?

This was the night when angels choruses
would be heard over a land waiting for His birth;
then the shepherds saw many wonders,
now silence hushes the white, solitary fields,
and nobody is awake to be amazed by angelic visions...
why hasn't Christmas come and why do children wait?

The Starry illumination
is the same the Magi saw from their palaces,
and certain of their expectation:
they loaded their camels
and left for Bethlehem happily;
three gifts they brought to honor the new King,
why have all forgotten that he is born to show humility?
Hasn't he become small for us to love him with less fear?

Gathered as sheep in an October field, all children lose hope
of getting presents, tonight Santa will not come down the slope;
perhaps they were thinking of giving them to Jesus
as he peacefully lays in the small crib made of hay:
oh, how much they would love to watch him play!
One of them picks up a wooden drum and says,
" Follow me to the manger and sing, " The Drummer boy. "
Jesus won't ask us for a gift...He wants us to feel His glory! "

Christmas Is

A time for dreams, for presents and cheer
Or perhaps to reflect on the passing year
A time for each to give and share
With the ones we love, to show we care

The Christmas message is spread around
But tis sometimes lost in lights and sound
When that little boy was manger born
With no great fanfare or trumpeting horn

A boy so destined to bring great hope, belief
And to a troubled world some faint relief
But the message he spread as he grew older
Is lost in hype as our hearts grow colder

But it's time again to hear what he had to say
Because we need some hope in this modern day
A message of freedom, of life and love
A belief in eternity with God above

As you open your gifts and Christmas presents
Think of just what this day represents
Love, life, time with family and friends
He gave his life on a cross to see it never ends

So remember this during your time together
A life with Him goes on forever
And as you celebrate His birth with great cheer
Recall He is watching over you, all through the year.

Evergreen fields

Where Christmas lives
Where dreams roam free
Where presents sit below each tree

For evergreen fields for you and me
Evergreen fields come true to dream
No more poor, and no more sad
Evergreen fields make us happy and glad

We run through the forest of o so tall trees
Smelling the scent of evergreen trees
Believe in the spirit for one and today
Believe in the evergreen fields where we lay

Snow angels on the ground
Love and happiness all around
Peace, harmony build our town
Knowing good spirits are truthful and bound

Evergreen fields for you and me
Evergreen fields for Christmas dreams
May everyday be your Christmas dream
May every Christmas dream
Be in for-evergreen

The Perfect Gift

Nine months is not very long...although
it seems forever, since you've been gone.

I still remember that knock at the door, two
strangers, I recognized, by the uniforms they wore.

Disbelief in the words, I heard them say...killed in
action, on Christmas Day.

When you left me, for a land far away...I ask Jesus
to keep you safe.

I have been so alone, with just my memories of you,
but today your Christmas Present arrived, and he is
so cute.

He came into this world, giving me back my life,
someone I can hold , all through the night.

Merry Christmas, my sweet soldier...the words
I never got to say, you gave me a gift so perfect,
in every way.

Even though you are not here, to hold your son,
I promise, he will always know his father, and the
good you have done.

We will decorate our tree in Red- White- and Blue...
"This year, and always, in remembrance of you."

Merry Christmas from us both, your wife, and baby son,
we will all be together one day....when our work is done.

"Please, pray for our soldiers."

Christmas Contradictions

As Christmas morning dawns
And children wake with yawns
Excitement permeates the air
With nary a worry or a care

While miles across both land and sea
Other children pray and plea
As anguish haunts their waking day
To weak to laugh, to frail to play

Those well fed children, some obese
With gifts a plenty, several apiece
Crowding round the Christmas tree
Happy, joyful, so carefree

While other children, worlds apart
With empty stomach and aching heart
Gathered round an empty pot
Despair, hungry amid stench of rot

Those healthy children with toys and stuff
Some spoilt brats that have enough
Often whining, wanting more
With gifts a plenty by the score

While suffering children without food
In shabby huts both stark and crude
Complain not once about their plight
Yet from so little derive delight

So while we run around demented
Stressing about which gifts to buy
Perhaps it is best that we relented
And asked ourselves to question why

And when we talk of Christmas cheer
Perhaps we ought to shed a tear
And spare a thought to those without
Is this not what Christmas is all about!!!

Why Do We Take Christ Out of Christmas

Why Do We Take Christ Out of Christmas?

The Last Step

A Christmas eve all alone
No childrens laughter heard
No presents to bring seasons joy
I'm a homeless alcoholic and I'm scared.

Yes I know nobody forced me to drink
and nobody can make me stop
All I ask is a warm dry place
I'm tired and about to drop.

Last year I had a wife and child
I watched them leave and cry
The drink had gotten the better of me
All I did for them was lie.

Do you know what it's like to be a drunk?
Your whole life controlled by drink
Always planning your next bender
Of nothing else you think.

Jesus Christ what do I do
Help this poor wretched man
Is this what you had in store for me?
Is this your punishing plan?

Is this really my lot in life
To die upon the street
Or will you send an angel to help me to my feet.

I have always been an angry soul
Even raised my fist to fight
I swear to you let me live til' morn
I will change with all my might.

I will seek the help of a caring soul
and never drink again
and use your gracious gift to me
To help others ease their pain.

A year has passed since I prayed my prayer
An angel came to me
Dressed in jeans and tatoo's
With a sandwich
and a cup of hot tea.

"If you really want to change your life
we can feed and shelter you
just don't take another drink
that's all you have to do".

Its Christmas eve and I'm clean and sober
With a sandwich and some tea
A helping hand to this poor man
For without Gods grace.. that's me.

IF YOU DO NOT HUMAN

From “Daily Given and Other Poems”

Come forth, dear friend
Squeeze my hand and kiss my face
Even under the shadows of a pencil away
But you should not forget
You and I are human in our right moment to die

Not day I hope
Not in this particular month and not the next month either I should say
Alas! This is my bridge and I’ll wait for you to cross it together
Bring your body to me: Embracing and laughing and capping
What I left for you, and much more.
We should live one, two, or three hundred years
It can be for anyone who would like to sing which it allows you and me to understand.

Speak up like cuckoo’s soul or pulling in front of you the intimate uncertainty
Because you would see eventually we are going to find
That trail that today appears confuse.
No matter what day will make an end
No matter what hour rendering may seem thrust that for others
Sometimes like this, in exact order, find blindness or butterflies.

If you fall believe it or not
I would make for you and the others as a soldier
Pinching wet ground and crushing the living creatures out of my way
But I would carry you and with a best-known smile I would indeed reach
The other end that appears identical from the beginning.

Now I wish you Merry Christmas from this humbly and lonely man
The undone four-letters with which my mind usually I skip
Which by voice-over in a period of utmost solicitude
I should deliver it to you.

HOPE OF THE MAGI

On a dark, mysterious and cloudless night,
A shooting star traces its way from the east.
God’s shining divine messenger glows bright—
Directing the Wise Men’s excursion for peace.

Knowing even God’s folly can only satisfy,
The Magi choose not to ignore this holy clue.
They set out trailing this light in the sky
With promises of the Prince of Peace in view.

With no gifts fit to endow the sacred family of God,
They bear two symbols of man’s generosity and gold.
Guided by the divine grace above on they trod
With sublime visions of God’s realm to behold.

A Christmas Cry

The vacant room dark and dim, though holiday dressed no joy within.
Haunted by black, the ribbons and bows perch as sullen, neglected shadows.
In the corner, the tree oh so grim, no hope or purpose reflected therein.
The mantel and hearth, quiet and cold, no warm comfort as in times old.

Will darkness swallow this fit lair and quiet drown joyful sounds in the air?
That this should be, tis’ shame to say, for it is Christmas..Jesus birthday.

But wait! What noise now I here? As the seasons carols fall on my ear.
Suddenly, a troop throngs the door singing and laughing, excitement galore!
And now a flicker, a candle, a light! Christmas victory defeats the night!
The now crowded room bright and clear is holiday dressed, Joy is here!

Alive with vibrancy, each ribbon and bow compliment the holiday glow.
Christmas tree corner? Anything but grim, bursting hope and purpose again.
Tongues of flame lick the firebox wall, sharing light and warmth with all
And so, to vacant hearts dim and dark, open your door to the Christmas spark!

Happy Christmas, War is Over by John Lennon

 So this is Xmas
 And what have you done
 Another year over
And a new one just begun
 And so this is Xmas
 I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
 The old and the young

 A very Merry Xmas
 And a happy New Year
 Let's hope it's a good one
 Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
For weak and for strong (if you want it)
For rich and the poor ones (war is over)
The world is so wrong (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
For black and for white (if you want it)
For yellow and red ones (war is over)
Let's stop all the fight (now)

 A very Merry Xmas
 And a happy New Year
 Let's hope it's a good one
 Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
And what have we done (if you want it)
Another year over (war is over)
A new one just begun (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
We hope you have fun (if you want it)
The near and the dear one (war is over)
The old and the young (now)

 A very Merry Xmas
 And a happy New Year
 Let's hope it's a good one
 Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
 War is over now

- John Lennon

*After more than forty years, this Christmas song/peaceful protest is still
played on radio every year. I heard it tonight and wanted to share the lyrics.
When I hear it, I always stop to listen. It's not naive or ignorant to believe
that words can make a difference...Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless.

If There Was NO Christmas

What if Christmas never happened? What if Christmas never came? Things around here would be different! It wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? Mankind would be in serious trouble. By Jim Pemberton

Blue Moon Christmas (continued)

But she would not even read it – she knew what lay within—
A red rage toward her country now the fire that was her friend.
Yet just a few days later on a now black Christmas Eve—
Another knock was heard from a cowboy come home on leave.

And Jim Blue Moon stood on the porch with presents in one arm,
A proof against dark forces wishing all of us great harm.
He said like Twain, news of his death was exaggerated—
And with smiles his wife helped him in, and they celebrated.

Yet in the haze of happiness and all her loving care,
Only now did Liz realize Blue’s left arm was not there.
But snatching life from death’s dark rider is a precious thing,
And nothing could dispel the joy their reunion would bring.

Then came the new Christmas day, which now seemed so clear and bright—
Yet Blue held back - flexed his cold metal arm in morning light.
“I wonder if it was worth it?” Blue mumbled at the sight—
But Liz nodded and said: “Yes, you did the thing that was right.”

Then they slowly opened presents - three united again—
Later dad and mom came over, and each rodeo friend.
“PBR’s done,” dad whispered in a voice like from the grave—
“Heck no!” Blue then replied, “I just lost the arm that I wave!”

Sure enough, with prosthetic arm, Blue rode the bulls once more—
Till he volunteered to go back to that faraway shore.
Alone, Jim’s wife held their child and the inner one so new—
As a full, pale Christmas moon rose and slowly turned to blue.

Christmas is in the air

Christmas is coming people are rushing around.
With joy in their heart the love shall resound.
It’s been many years since I’ve felt this way.
It has been much too long I have to say.

In this season spirits seem to uplift.
This is but one of many Christmas gifts.
If you need to find only one place to start,
Let compassion flow freely from your heart.

One simple thing and the world shall change.
The love in your heart you should never estrange.
An act of kindness to someone that’s in need,
Will grow and blossom if you plant the seed.

Maybe the fighting can stop and we will understand,
The world becomes better when we are the best we can.
Nothing could be better than peace in our time,
It starts with and act and then infects one’s mind.

Christmas is a time of peace and good will.
The miracle is before us it can happen still.
Think compassion it will spread to your heart.
The world will join together instead of falling apart.

Something is growing I can feel it right now.
If we begin to care we shall make it somehow.
It starts with you and you need just to care,
Peace to you all, Christmas is in the air.

The frenzy of holiday season

With the flow of people in the city
the time to put reason into Christmas shopping,
has its moments of attaching a price tag
to their affection in this Christmastime.

Perhaps, that obscures the true spirit
of what Christmas really means.
Our attitudes and backgrounds
would paint the meaning in our time.

Being asked to let go of old wounds
and other things that are not of God.
We take a journey of change,
prayer and real purpose of our lives.

Looking at our biblical gift
when Christ became one of us.
He gave us a second chance
to be partakers of his Kingdom.

While we recall and relive God's love for us,
the gift of redemption and our mission;
Re-aligns us to be transformed
into a new creation.

As we enter the shopping crowds
we come to struggle with sweeping ads.
The siren call of some ad wizards
makes us discern and opt for the right tone.

Hearing Christmas carols elsewhere,
with solemnity, subtlety and beautiful melody,
there's a whiff of warmth and introspection
that highlights the season of great devotion.

Christmas Morning (A New Leaf in Life?)

You’re like Christmas morning when I was four
I’m wide awake and can’t sleep
I’m filled with excitement and cannot wait to hear from you again
Each minute has been an eternity since we last spoke
What awaits with morning’s light?
Nobody really knows
We’ll just see how everything goes
I pray it turns out alright
This experiment is cause for merriment
Will more follow?
We’ll see
As for now, like Christmas morning,
I am filled with uncertainty,
but most of all,
an unprecedented ecstasy

A Moving Christmas

Up to my eyeballs with boxes of history
this decision I made is really no mystery.

I've worn myself to a definite frazzle
but as I look around it's beginning to dazzle!

A crazy time to pick up and go
yet the time was ripe for leaving I know.

Sad to tell my dear sister good-bye;
we certainly both had ourselves a good cry.

As the miles burned by with the roar of the truck
I thought about my good fortune and luck.

I'm blessed with friendships so wondrous and rare;
they've helped me so much nothing can compare.

Now the crumpled newspapers lay in a pile;
I need a good rest but I'll work for awhile.

There's cleaning,unpacking,so much to do
but it caught my eye and a crazy thought grew.

In the midst of this chaos a tree now shines bright;
stepping over the boxes I plug in the light.

A smile glazes across my tired face
and Christmas arrives in this new-found place!

*note* I really just moved 4 days ago and I did put up my Christmas tree despite how totally exausted I am! Happy holidays everyone!

I Was Fed Kindness

The ham was crusted, done to a turn.
This meal was huge,I never learn!

I always cook too much for me.
From years of being a chef, you see.

But this is Christmas Eve tonight.
And I feel sorry for my plight.

When suddenly I had a thought.
I took the gifts that I had bought.

I found some shelter folks to feed.
But really,they fulfilled my need.

For cos' of them I'm not alone.
I bless them for their kindness shown.

The Gift

Gifts that come in boxes all
Wrapped in pretty paper and bows.
Awaiting the dawn of Christmas morn
To be recieved with hearts aglow.

A Gift of that special word that comes from
The heart, telling of the Christmas story.
Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, and Kings afar,
Stars bright, it must be Christmas Eve night.

The Gift, lies in a manger of straw,
The glow that out shines the stable stall.
Angels sing their songs with heavenly bliss,
Jesus, Son of God born for us all.

'Twas The Day Before Christmas Eve

‘Twas the day before Christmas eve
We gathered at the church
All sat transfixed
Not even a lurch

The preacher was ‘hot’
And spoke of the stress
He wanted the people
To hear and be blessed

“We have to remember
What Christmas is about
The birth of our Savior”
Then someone did shout!

It’s not about the gifts
‘Though we should always be a giver
It’s about He who came
Bringing Life from ‘The River’

Now what is the reason
If just a ‘holiday’ is this
Without the birth of Jesus
Another meaning is a miss

So if you’ve given in
To the hustle and bustle
And can’t find rest
Because of the tussle

Just think on these things
That Jesus was born
Remembering why
We celebrate Christmas morn

He came to bring peace
Give us access to heaven
All should honor Jesus
On this day given

So there’s hope for the world
To all who believe
In Him you’ll find rest
Just ask and receive

A Christmas Tale

As snowflakes form into crystalline beds
Santa dresses up in his suit so red
Reindeer restless to come out of their stall
Christmas is the most wonderful night of them all
All across the world it's so beautiful to see
People taking the time to fill others hearts with glee
Somewhere high above the clouds in a special place
God and Son sit on their throne a smile upon their face
The reason they are smiling is it warms their heart to see
Love and cheer is everywhere that it could possibly be
Somewhere in a little town nestled nicely away
A worried man looks at the bills he knows he must pay
As his daughter points at the advertisement on t.v.
Excitedly asking of her dad, "Will Santa bring that for me"
Suddenly he hears more mail land in the box
With a thud that hits his heart like a thousand locks
As he shuffles through the bills that day he runs across a card
So he stops and opens it right there in the yard
The thing about this card that made the odds so slim
This man had absolutely no idea who sent it to him
It said,"We know times are tough and what your going through"
"So we placed $500 in this card and sent it off to you"
He searched the envelope and card but there was no name at all
He reckons that makes this wonderful gift the greatest gift of all
He talks it over with his wife and they give half away
To help the local shelter feed the hungry on Christmas day
As we scurry about these days in an awful fuss
I believe up in heaven the Lord is smiling down on us
Because he knows on Christmas day that most all humanity
Takes the time to stop and say, "Lord we give thanks to thee"

Totally fictional poem but the message is one that
needs be heard. In every town across our nation
hungry families will file into the many shelters
hoping to get them and their children a hot meal
and possibly a single gift. If everyone who could
afford to give a dollar would no one would be
turned away - Merry Christmas

Amen, Good Times

Her special month is November,
 My special month is December,
Gather around the fireplace,
 look at the burning ember
 My special time to remember,
 Listen to the wind chimes,
 These are my good times,
 Hear my voice,
 Please feel rejoice.
 Amen.
 No time for depression,
 Time for love and affection,
 Streets filled with snow,
 We're under the misltoe,
There we had our first kiss,
I've never felt so much bliss,
 Listen to the wind chimes,
 These are my good times,
 Hear my voice,
 Please feel rejoice.
Amen.
 Its time for joy,
Kids playing with their favorite toy,
Gathering around the Christmas tree,
 Always something jolly to see,
 Looking back at the year,
 Not a single tear,
 Flying reindeer,
Doing the shopping at the mall,
 Merry Christmas to all,
 Listen to the wind chimes,
These are my good times,
 Hear my voice,
 Please feel rejoice.
Amen.
We're coming home,
As a kid thats all we've known,
 Our homecoming,
 Our family singing,
 We're coming home again,
 Celebration with our children,
 We're coming home again,
Bringing our souls closer to Heaven.

Spending Christmas All Alone

Spending Christmas all alone,
not even a ringing of the phone.
No knock on the door,
No one to share this with no more.
How can this be,
when last year she was with me.
What did I do,
to make this Christmas blue.
The tree is lit and the fire is hot,
the memories is all I got.
The hot coco is sweet,
the presents are wrapped very neat.
I am sitting here waiting for a call,
but what did I do, I can't recall.
Did I say something wrong,
or did I put something where it did not belong.
I wish you would come back to me,
thats what I want for christmas, you see.
No present can take your place,
no money can make our love erase.
Please come home and spend Christmas with me,
the door will be unlock and I'll be waiting by the tree.
If midnight comes and I hear no phone,
I will be spending Christmas all alone.

Merry Christmas in This Recession

Merry Christmas to all of you,
I hope that you enjoy your family,
Even if you can’t buy your kids any toys.
The real reason for the season should stand clear,
Especially this year that we are in a recession.
It is a vast blessing that we are here,
Whether we are employed or not,
Whether we are far from friends or near.

Jesus is the reason why wee are here,
And it is a great thing to celebrate his birth,
Because he is worth more than anything we can buy.
So this Christmas look into the sky to give the big guy,
Not Santa Claus, praise for His first day of life.
Husbands’ mega love your wives.
Mom’s and dad’s ultra cherish your kids,
And let them know whose birthday it is.

I don’t have much this year,
But I will still spread cheer.
To be here it is more than a blessing
Merry Christmas to you in this recession.

Our Greatest Christmas Gift

As I stare at our beautiful lighted Christmas tree,
My mind takes me back to childhood visions and how it used to be.

A popcorn garland and garland made from colored paper connected rings,
Those were the days of simple things.

And bubbling lights that were so pretty and bright,
Brought such grandeur to our tree at night.

The tree it self was freshly cut with two boards nailed to the bottom to make it stand.
The aroma given off was a treat in it self to me that was Christmas I hope you understand.

Our presents were wrapped and carefully placed under the tree.
When no one was looking we’d shake em and shake em just trying to see.

And always on Christmas our church would put on a play,
Of Wise men and shepherds and Baby Jesus lying in the hay.

To turn back the clock would be such a treat,
The Spirit of Christmas was so wonderful and sweet.

But now it’s all glitter and glamour with no fun as before,
And they’ve taken poor Jesus and refuse to celebrate Him anymore.

Jesus is the only reason why anyone should celebrate the day,
Of all the gifts you’ve ever received, Jesus is our greatest in every way.

GETTING INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Getting into the Christmas spirit,
by examining my introspection
and making new plans for the future;
and sparking up your imagination...
could anyone imagine me dressed
as Santa Claus, who never has the minimal time
to watch a log consumed by a crackling fire?
Think again, I could be that Saint Nicholas so bold!

Prejudice is not a part of this Christmas Season,
all kinds of people, of different ages and races,
celebrate it; and it may vary from country to country
with traditions as far as Saturnalia or Yuletide...
that was a time when pagans started this festivity,
and with the birth of Jesus, the Christians
adopted these traditions as their own...
so should we object and put them aside?

Getting into the Christmas spirit,
unpacking decorations for my new Christmas Tree,
from boxes that waited too long for this day of joy;
and even my toddler, Jack, comes downstairs tripping,
handing me Grandma's favorite star, which
she had hidden away into a treasure chest so jealously,
to place on the top of this forest-scented pine tree...
when we all gather and sing," Silent Night."

Getting into the Christmas spirit,
adding, not taking away names from my long list;
and even though these are tough economic times,
I plan to be generous to all without feeling the pinch!
Give the very best of your intentions,
either in gift or in warmest embrace;
give and be content to catch that infant's smile in the distance;
the tender smile of the Holiest Child, who will give of Himself!

Season miracle

Okay so here we are again the holiday season upon us approaching and an end to another
year
Most people are happy and children filled with such Christmas cheer
For me in my present times my emotions for the season just can't be sincere
My kids are so far out of state and they won't be here
The man I'm deeply in love with isn't near
While most are hungry for a traditional Christmas dinner and pumpkin pie
I'm here forcing myself not to and will not allow myself to cry
It's his eyes that I need to gaze so lovingly into, that is for what I'm famished
The years apart and the miles between us never caused our love in any way to diminish
Holding my kids tightly is something I miss so much
Oh how I wish they were here so I could see their sweet smiling faces and such
All I see upon closing my eyes is my reaching out to them, and them reaching back to me, I
long so badly for each and everyone of their touch
So while people are listening to the church bells ringing
Carolers that go door to door with their Christmas songs that they will be singing
And to the New Year everyone soon will be in their homes and hearts bringing
I'll be right here wishing on a miracle or two
It could happen you know and something good is just bound to happen soon
I keep my faith, and I open my heart, soul, and mind up and try very hard everyday in
every way to keep right on pushing through
I want to wish a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, and a very Happy
New Year to all of you
God Bless each and everyone may all your dreams come true

The Cradle And the Cross

The cradle of Christmas
Has no meaning without the Cross.
The babe we celebrate at Christmas
Was born to win us back from loss.
Part heavenly yet part human,
This gracious Christmas gift,
Was given to save mankind;
Redeem the God-mankind rift.

The Cradle and the Cross
Show us God’s great love;
Reveal his glorious power
And his life over death from above.
They give us great hope for a future—
A hope that cannot die.
When we acknowledge the Cradle and the Cross;
Upon Christ’s life and spilt blood we rely.

From Christmas to Easter
We’re reminded of the Cradle and the Cross;
The sacrificial life of God’s Son,
That his own people sought to toss.
The Cradle and the Cross
Were prophesies of old.
God’s child was born unnoticed by most,
Yet worshipped with incense, myrrh and gold.

The Cradle and the Cross
Bring forth glorious hope;
Show us that there’s nothing
Beyond God’s power and scope.
They give us reason for joy
And peace in our hearts to reign.
May the goodwill of Christmas
Be with all on earth to proclaim!

The Eternal Christmas Plan

For thirty years, God's Christmas plan had culminated into a ministry of Love, Hope even
fear and anger. Masses were fed by little, masses were healed, by but a touch of His loving
healing hand. Yet through all this, there was still fear, uncertainty, guile and betrayal.
Even
those chosen to be His Apostles were weary of Him. Even after all He had shown them,
taught them. Yet He foresaw it all, lamentations, denial, betrayal. Then He was brought
before Pilate
a man not wanting to convict nor imprison. Were the Scribes and Priests the ones who really
held power? Where was God? Where was His guidance? Where was His Love for His Son?
Yes God's eternal plan was present, through man to sacrifice His Son, who was willing, for
He understood it must be done, so decreed, Heavenly power fulfilling. To Calvary's Cross,
to suffer such loss, to bury in a tomb for three days, whilst resurrection power had begun to
tower, stone rolled away from the cave. Among Alleluias from Angels on high, parallel to
the Gloria's sung on Christmas Day, where in a manger He lay, God's pure infant Son. Full
circle was present, revealed to mankind, Birth to Death from Eternal obedience , from
manger to cross, the story unfolds, year to year, age to age, still intense, still Celebrated
by those who believe Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again. Let us
proclaim the Mystery of Faith........ In the Eternal Christmas Plan........

Christmas wish for momma

Don’t cry my very own little ones

I assure you I’ll be alright

For tonight I’m gone to visit Jesus

For Upon you I shall shine a light

Maybe within the big bright sun

Or maybe the twinkling of a star

But may you find the comfort in light

Of knowing from you I’m never far.

I’m on the glistening green grass

Within the bright morning dew

I’m in the warm breeze a blowing

Blowing my kisses right to you.

I’m in the soft gentle rain

That falls upon your face

I’m in those pure white blankets of snow

Holding you in my embrace.

I’m in the moon that shines so bright

On your darkest nights

I’m always in that great big blue sky

To show you your guiding light.

So never feel you are all alone

Or you never have a friend

Because I’ll always be right beside you

From now and all throughout the end.

I’m everywhere you go

And in everything you do

I’m in your heart and in your soul

For my love will always follows you.

The little girl watched with boundless tears

As her angel slowly faded away

“Merry Christmas Momma,” the little girl said

“I’ll see you on Christmas day.”

Don't Stress Christmas - repost

Don't Stress Christmas
The northern skies are turning gray --
Seems the sun just doesn’t linger.
Christmas is just a month away,
And the nights are getting longer.
That Thanksgiving spent with family—
A briefly pleasant holiday—
Was forgotten all too quickly
By pushy crowds on Black Friday.

Our gift checklist seems like old Saint Nick’s,
But our staff is lacking Elves.
Shopping trips cause daily panics.
I wonder how we’ll feed ourselves.
We must buy more decorations,
So the yard looks like it’s snowing.
We fall deeper in depressions
As our credit keeps on growing.

Lord forgive commercialism
For ruining every Christmas.
Lord forgive consumerism
For dumping on us all that stress.
December is a dreary time,
Even when little angels sing.
The irony of Christmas time
Was that Christ was born in the Spring.

While standing in the checkout line,
Remember what the carols told.
Think of how Bethlehem’s star once shined,
As Israel’s prophets foretold.
Think of the awe of the shepherds
When they saw angels fill the air.
Coming to the stable, entered,
To meet the Holy Family there.

Instead of spending all you have,
Next November and December,
Spend time with all of those you love,
And teach them what to remember.
"A Savior born in Bethlehem"
Should bring us joy and happiness;
And “ Peace on Earth, goodwill to men”
Should set us free, not bring us stress.

Santa's Take

What a special time of year....
I,Santa and my minion of elves
making a gazillion toys for all
the giddy girls and boys.

Just what are some of the things they
will find under the tree? Let's see !!

Colorful cars that go vroom vroom
and twin engine planes that zoom.
Remote control trucks that
tumble around the room.Oh these
things simply can't come too soon!

There's the cute little doll house
with a canary canopy and the stocking
stuffed to the brim with sugar coated candy.
Oh my, what about the indestructable
tank with the turret that pivots or the
tried and true toolset equipped with
screwdrivers, pliers, hammer
and yes, even a rack of rivets.

I almost forgot about the long-legged dolls
with their fancy silk sweaters and dresses.
Oh how girls love those that talk or cry,
or ..... yes, even make little messes.

Then there are teddy bears,dolphins,
monkeys, ...stuffed animals of all kinds.
Oh, is it possible for the youngsters
to get these tantalizing toys out of their minds?

Chutes and Ladders,Candyland, Twister,
Guess Who, a smorgasboard of board games.
Oh yes, after this Christmas Day,
nothing could ever be the same.

Then there are cd's, dvd's,mp3s
you name it, even cell phones to call.
And no, that's certainly not all.
Catchers mitts, frisbees,yo-yo's or
better yet, a new leather basketball.

Robots, Light Bright,Spirograph,
we are busy making toys for tots.
And I don't think I need to tell you
No matter how you slice it... there's alot.

But I'm running out of time here you see
and there's no limit to what
can be found underneath the tree.
Every year Christmas provides a new story.

I know I hold a special place in
the hearts of people both young and old.
But I will be the first to admit
Christmas is not about me or what's
under the tree, but might I be so bold

as to say we must not forget that the real
Christmas story is all about love.
It starts and ends with the gift of Jesus
sent to us from His Father above.

For without that very "special delivery"
Christmas Day we wouldn't even celebrate.
No, as a matter of fact, December 25th
would simply be just an ordinary date.

colors of Christmas

             Colors of Christmas
Colored lights of red, blue, green and white;
And to what is the reason?
Why it’s Christmas season;
And Christmas is ever so bright.

People are walking, people are talking;
And driving on these city streets;
Looking for toys; for girls and boys;
And shopping for their special treats.

As I look around; it’s for sure that I’ve found;
That in this city;
That looks h so pretty;
The spirit of Christmas abounds.

So I hope for you; with a wish that is true;
To one and to all;
Both big and both small;
That the joys on this Christmas; last all the year through.

Peace on Earth

When Christmas
sends peace on Earth,
it must stay here for ever,
because this love comes from the stars.

I wish days like Christmas
will stay on Earth and never go,
with the bird's song on the snow
while heaven sends its own music.

Laughter and million lights,
like the rays of the star,
like the angel's song
like the wind's soft whisper.

This is Christmas, this is peace,
this is love in our hearts;
for the rich, for poor, for young and old,
God's treasure will open.-

A MEMORABLE CHRISTMAS EVE

It was a cold and dreary Christmas Eve,
the snow was deep so I couldn’t leave.
I was feeling sad and a little down,
most of my folks don’t live in town.
I thought that maybe I could drive to see them,
without a snowmobile that would be a big problem!
If there is a will, there is certainly a way,
perhaps I can see them by Christmas day.
I decided to turn on the television set,
There is nothing good on tonight I bet.
I turned to a Christmas movie for a minute,
it was so realistic that I felt I was in it.
I was feeling tired and was fading away,
I heard Santa outside with his reindeer and sleigh.
I got out of my seat and opened my door,
it was an amazing sight that I couldn’t ignore.
Standing before me was old Saint Nick,
he looked like the Santa Claus from the Christmas flick.
He gestured to me with his apple red cheeks,
To convince folks of this would surely take weeks!
He said, “hop in my sleigh and we’ll ride out of here,
Just leave it to me and my trusty reindeer.”
I hopped in his sleigh and off we went,
I kept telling Santa he was heaven sent.
He dropped me off at my parents' place,
happiness was written all over my face.
I woke up from what was apparently a dream,
I was still at my apartment you see what I mean?
If this were true, it would be hard to believe,
but this still turned out to be “a memorable Christmas Eve.”

Jesus and the angels

Two days before Christmas Eve in New York City.
A little girl named Hope had the heart of a giant at the age of seven years old.
Hope and her loving parents where all together decorating the Christmas tree.
Hope asked her mother, “Mommy will I ever see Jesus and all the angels”.
“One day when it’s your time”, said her mother.
“It would be nice to visit grandma again”, said Hope.
Her mother told her, “You know she’s always looking down on you”.
“Really”, she asked her father with a big smile.
That night Hope woke up with a stomach ache.
“Daddy, daddy my tummy is hurting again”, Hope cried to her father.
He told her, “Alright let’s get some medicine from the cabinets”.

A little while later Hope got really sick.
She was taken to the nearest hospital.
The doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
Running tests over and over.
Still nothing showed up on the screen until they x-rayed on her stomach.
Finally an answer was found, but a cure was not.
It was all too late for little Hope.
She had developed cancer and it was on the final stage.

Any moment would be time for her to go.
Her parents cried in deep sorrow, thinking how to tell their child that she’s going to
die.
Hope’s parents walked in the room trying fighting the tears from their eyes.
They asked their daughter, “Sweetie do you remember about the place called
heaven?”
“That’s were God lives”, Hope said
Her father said, “Well pretty soon you’re going to take a trip there”.
She asked, “Will I get to meet Jesus and all the angels?”
Tears began to rolling down their eyes as they hugged their little girl goodbye.

The funeral was held on a beautiful Sunday morning.
Hope’s mother couldn’t bear the pain any more.
The next night she had a dream about her daughter.
“Mommy I’m coming to tell you that I love you”, Hope said.
She continued, “I know you miss me when you cry but forever I will always be with
you”.
“Tell daddy I love him too and grandma sends her love”.
“I got to meet all the angels and even Jesus too”.
“It’s almost time for me to go back”.
“Don’t worry about me because now grandma and I are watching over you”.

My Christmas Tree Is Ewe

Monkey flies and lies disgrace the human race and television has infected all the
children and the places that they go. What I want for Christmas fare is just
ewe and a place underneath the mistletoe. My Christmas tree is thee. Humble
and retained in innocence and restfulness.
Wrapping all the gifts in love and kisses please.
The kiss is gift enough for me please send me three of them all sweet and
tender and tasting just like CHRISTMAS wine.
Love has come back to me for Christmas time.
But not of gold and silver dew eye speak of.
The very Heart of ewe is parme purple violet hued.
What have eye deserved to ascertain the fragrances of a lemon flavored ewe?
Kiss me three times dew.

WHAT IF CHRISTMAS ( WAS WITHOUT SANTA THIS YEAR?)

They are so thrilled to see him come around;
riding his sleigh in the deep snow...
laughing and making that jovial sound!
Santa, don't rush downhill, take it slow;
the roads are slippery and the deer are running wild,
don't to crash into them to be there on time!

What if Christmas was without Santa this year,
and his coming was put on hold?
Would the children listen to their mama, so dear,
when she tells them to go to sleep...
because if they stayed awake for too long:
Santa Clause wouldn't slide down the chimney!

Sleep and you will surely find those gifts on your bed,
but don't expect what you wish for...if you've been bad!
Sleep and dream that he'll tip-toe to your bedroom,
wouldn't you like to peak and make believe you're asleep?
And will Santa not see you wiggle under the sheets and and stoop?
Sleep with joy and dream of what tomorrow could be!

What if Christmas was without Santa this year,
all the lights were shut down
in every snowy city and town;
what if no stars twinkled on each adorned Christmas' tree,
and the church bells stopped ringing?
Wouldn't the sad angels, looking over Jesus, stop singing?
Come Santa and make everybody happy;
it's not the gifts that matter, but your goodness and laughter!

Mental Victoms Part II

There is a girl a now
shes almost gotten away
played the game
jumped through the hoops
told me some secrets
while she was there she was sexually assaulted
hey i don't pay taxes
so i don't get to choose the channel
i want to watch on the televisions
that are there for the patients
i might be crazy but you know what
i can still remember what my delusions
are and what the reality is on my better days
for me its like a movie or a song stuck in my head
sexual assaults, and a place to be toyed with, a place to go to die from the age of
16 until you die, a place to run from the insanity you witness to be brought back
and punished with the fact their lengthening your stay and upping your poison
that doesn't heal!!!!

A boy singing in his room
louder
too loud to keep the peace of the unit
was sent to maximum security for just that reason
neighbored with man in shackles and chains
just after Arthur had died
and Andrew ran away
he sang his songs
and one day couldn't get coffee out of a coffee pot
so he twisted the lid
to ease the flow
and guess what
he got a needle in his butt

and the doctor lied to his father about the whole ordeal
and for two weeks after he could no longer participate in gym activities
later that Christmas
they threw his Christmas cards away
saying they were fire hazards

opening the blue pages dialing number after number after number
to report leaky pipes the sewer smell
I'll tell you one thing about those power trippers
the people that work there make it very obvious
they only work there because they are afraid to quit
because they fear they know too much
they are addicted of the group mentality of forcing medications upon those who
don't want it

I've never seen something so ugly
some things in reality are there for reason
some things are there to be changed
but when something creates so many causalities and this is just a few
which i will explain,
one was addicted to drugs
one was probably in need of help
and one was me
but we are all victoms a who gets away
in sickness or in health
would rather die in our hallucinations and illness
than be brought back there
to go through than level of torture to be brought back to the next nightmare
the psychiatrists call better

makes me wonder why soo many of the ill find hospitals just another political
war zone we are all innocent pawns of some unholy war game people with
money. I will find ways to turn the tables, this i swear

I love pARME

I love pARME is what the letter to Santa will say.

One hair of head no cold a smile instead.

One long leg and then one more.

Two arms to hold.

One woman of love and riches keeps me warm.

One love inside.

Purple wings beating beside the thumping of my heart.

Early christmas can be a smile.

Captured with devices but meant as love from far inside.

I love pARME is what my letter to Santa must say.

One woman made of love.

The ONLY Christmas Present that eye want.

Dear Santa

Santa, can you bring me a long forgotten smile?
Santa, can you bring me the happiness of a child?
Santa, can you just hold my hand and walk with me awhile?

Down memory lane we’ll wander, while Christmas dreams do rush,
Past our empty nested homes, we’ll whisper in a hush.

Please help me to remember those years of tinsel past,
When our homes were filled with happy cheers,
We always thought would last.
When getting ‘wakened early on Christmas morn,
Brought them peeking ‘round the stairs,
And the pitter patter of little feet was something we once shared.

Santa, can you make a snowflake fall gently upon my nose?
Can you bundle me up so warm, in all my winter clothes?
Can you take me sledding down the hill at North Side park?
Santa, can you please bring back just a tiny Christmas spark?

Can we unwrap some laughter and some extra fuzzy hugs?
I’ll help you warm the cocoa in some extra jumbo mugs!

If you could help me bring back some forgotten memories
I made a promise to the Christ child I’d drop down to my knees.
I’ll say a prayer for Christmas peace and lend a helping hand,
And ride around the globe with you tonight with a message for this land.

Cherish each day as it happens,
put anger and sadness aside,
with the Christ child in the manger,
is where happiness resides.

Santa, I want to say thank-you for bringing me Christmas cheer.
Jesus, I want to say thank-you for calming all my fears.

My Christmas Wish for You

Merry Christmas to all my friends here on the Soup.
I hope you’re still on old Santa’s loop.

I just made a wish and I hope it comes true,
I wished for peace, happiness, and lots and lots of joy for each of you.

I made this wish upon the brightest star that I could see,
It’s just my way to let you all know how much you mean to me.

The comments you make are such treasured gifts,
When I get down you all know just how to administer that special lift.

So many greats are featured here on this site,
I love to read their works whether it be day or night.

This Tuesday when I dine with my family I’ll also think of you.
Cause you guys mean so much you really do!

So Merry Christmas to you with all the best wishes, too!
And don’t forget the main reason, we celebrate the season.

Happy Birthday Lord Jesus and thank You for this day,
I’m so glad you are our Savior and it’s to You that we pray.

Merry Christmas All !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year to You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Santa

Dear Santa
I am going to ask for a little more this year
So you might want to drink more of that Christmas cheer
For this present is a really big one to ask
Maybe your the one that can do this task
First i must say i hope you and Mrs Clause are doing swell
And i wondered if use noticed this world has not been doing to well
I am just simply one person and cant fix this alone
So i thought what better man than one that travels home to home
If maybe you could leave a note in the stockings that are hung with care
Asking that the love in their hearts please can they share
That maybe that man asking for change on the street
May need a warm coat or boots for his feet
So if we all can put in a donation box
A toy for a child or maybe a warm pair of socks
If we can all do are part in one way or another
This Christmas for families may come together
