young American days

To be in a young America ~
visions of a ship upcoming statue of Liberty
the young lad holding tightly to his Mothers leg
in all excitement of a new Land to call their own
celebrations of apple pie and fireworks on the 4th of July

thoughts of the old Hollywood on screen
films without 3-D costing less then a dollar
Greta , Monroe , Betty Davis eyes tantalizing blue glare
The Wizard of Oz or books written by Steinbach, Capote, Mark Twain

exciting new visions of creating new concepts
before Capitalism bought all little ones to bigger
songs came from the hills of Virginia to the black Mountains
surfacing in Tennessee for all to hear and wish to see

The day when one travelled by car on the road travelled
every town a story told , learning history we once shed blood
American Indian tears to the British man whom choose freedom of taxes
Boston held a tea party , now wishing they threw out marmite instead

The day when we knew our neighbors and bought homes with a paystub
Everyone had a chance to make their own with pride , even through wars
When Martin Luther King stood proudly as did President Lincoln for Freedom
How many streets have been named after the man whom had a dream ?

When milk was delivered on doorsteps in Glass bottles
Babies wanting the very first of the top being cream
leaving doors open , watching news with your family at 6pm
cartoons were shut down and it was now grown up time

Cereal being a cheap snack for after school
                         school supplies costing twenty dollars
Grandma school clothes shopping for fifty
before the internet , cell phones , and text for hello ~

2 week Vacations not afraid to put up Camp
Christmas sold in December with the sentiment of Love not money
a day when if one were sick , you could actually get penicillin without question
The Doctor treated everything calling it General Practice no fear of Malpractice

               Never forgetting our Motor city
Old Ford Trucks Chevrolets and Dodge
The city that brought Ottis Reding and Marvin Gaye

What happened to us ? Where did America Go ?

Happy Birthday Jesus

Long ago, one Christmas morn, in a stable a child was born
Innocent, helpless and small
How could we believe He’d someday die to save us all?
On His mother He depended for his every need
How then could we imagine it would be by His blood alone that we’d be freed?
Growing up in a time and place so different from Heaven above
Living and dying here on Earth, what a symbol of His love.

To the cross He lovingly went
Knowing it was for our sins alone that He had been sent
Dragging His cross up to that hill where men were condemned to die
Jesus, our Savior suffered the fate while we were all passed by.

“King of the Jews,” that’s what the sign had read.
Hanging just above His thorn crowned head.
Blood spilled from nail driven hands and feet
As Christ suffered a death most bitter and sweet.

The pain and agony He lovingly endured
To give us the gift of salvation, most blessedly assured.
He never counted the cost of a price that was oh so high
Giving up His last breath so we may never have to die.

Today He walks amongst us, having conquered the grave.
Loving, hoping and waiting for us to accept the gift that He gave
When on that day so long ago He died in our place
Proving the power of God’s most amazing grace.

So this Christmas morning before you race for the tree
Take a moment to thank God for Jesus, for the gift of life eternally.
But don’t stop there, unwrap that gift of salvation today
What better way is there to tell Jesus………Happy Birthday?!

THEY BELIEVED IN THE SAVIOR

The were the three Magi with mantels and beards, traveling
on strong camels as far as Bethlehem and having
seen a wondrous star, they began their long journey
by bringing precious gifts, but they warned Joseph and Mary
of Herod's malicious intent...so they fled to Egypt
on a donkey that never complain of a sore hip!

They believed in the Savior as Herod himself full of pride,
and being very wise, they never returned
to tell him what kind of child they had found!
They brought their gifts and knelt at a child
whose fate as foretold was to die for us all,
and he gladly accepted them hearing His Father's call!

Not having heard from the Wise Men who had lied to Him,
Herod sent his soldiers to kill all children under three: screams terrorized Bethlehem;
no, they weren't moved by their mother's painful cry
and shedding their innocent blood they revenged that lie!
O mothers of Bethlehem, Jesus knew that they were slaughtered because of Him!
O mothers of Bethlehem, you wept and moaned as they bled as a sacrificial lamb!

They believed in the Savior from what they had read,
and wanted to see for themselves the glorious event that Daniel spoken of:
the brightest star shining over Bethlehem as angels sang,
announcing Christ's birth in a small town groping on a hill of citrus and clove!

For You And Me

It was for you and me ,
That Jesus left His throne,
Bore the scourge and agony,
Shivered His flesh and bone,

It was for you and me,
He took the awry tour,
Towards the dreaded Calvary,
Summed His tortured hours,

It was for you and me,
That Jesus bore the cross,
Paid the greatest penalty,
That death supposed be ours,

It was for you and me,
He wailed the gloomiest cry,
It was for you and me,
Jesus was nailed to die,

Oh, that you and I may see,
Our wickedness beyond measure,
Jesus to set us free,
In our stead bore the torture,

His love mysterious great,
Knocks the door of all men's heart,
His mighty power recreates,
Renews our lives whole to restart,

It was for you and me,
When on the third day death sufficed,
The savior left His grave,
Victorious he arised,

He rose back to His throne,
Sitting by His Father's side,
Prepare! He's coming soon,
Today is to decide,

Christmas 2009

Recession made Christmas harder than ever before
Family’s splitting – money the core
Dad’s leaving to live on the street
So that young hungry mouths are able to eat
That some extra cash might be in the house
and children might learn what Christmas is about?
But without Dad gone, roof would be lost
for the bills are much higher – we can’t meet the cost
No longer can the average family budget
2009, jobs lost, even working struggle to afford it
Commercialism needs to stop building hopes and dreams
Childern don’t understand you are busting at the seams
Disappointment reigns as kids outside taunt and tease
No longer we fit in we’re all on our knees
Sinking. Even love has fallen apart
We don’t want this Christmas just haven’t the heart!
Expectation lower, depressions set in
Politicians not helping the hole we’re all in
Instead raising taxes they’ll crucify more
and this miserable life could be at your door
Will someone tell them that family should be together
sharing love, life, hopes dreams whatever they weather

Christ Child

In eternity past, the Father asks the Son to go down.
Having equal Love for humans the "Yes" comes fast.
When Creation leads to time, the world waits for 4 BC
Marking the start of the end of Satan's long rule at last.

Did Satan laugh at the poor setting for Jesus' birth here?
A cry in a cave for animals pierces the night, changing all.
Shepherds worship; later wise kings give precious gifts.
Mary and Joseph marvel, yet Herod's rage soon gives a call.

A call to leave quickly to Egypt where they'll live as refugees.
Sparing the Christ child a merciless death of those under three.
When Herod finally dies, Jesus' parents head back to Israel.
Still not fully safe from mad rule, Nazareth is their destiny.

Here the child will grow to be a man, following His parents rule.
Surprising the Pharisees with His wisdom at 12, at 30 riling them.
Preaching with authority, healing the incurable, loving the humble.
Women weep repenting at his feet; one's healed by touching his hem.

Zacchaeus risks going into a tree and finds Jesus' salvation so free.
Nicodemus comes at night to ask and ends amazed he's met God's Son
The Woman at the Well gets far more vital water than the usual kind.
And many healed can't but tell others of the miracle God has done.

The babe in the manger now stills the storm and his disciples believe
Even seeing the dead arise, like Lazarus in the tomb for four days.
Foretelling a greater rising coming but not before immense suffering.
The sword Mary was told would pierce her heart is soon on its way.

For most religious leaders cannot tolerate Jesus' lack of respect for them.
Calling them whitewashed tombs and pointing pride out to Pharisees.
Not endearing Himself with the establishment, but following God's way.
Knowing soon He'd be betrayed, arrested, tried and tortured brutally.

Still, he calmly feeds them body bread and blood wine in a final feast.
Tells them the Spirit comes, and prays they'd be one like Father and Son.
Heads to the Garden, prays to His Father for another way if possible.
Your will be done ends and the soldiers come and with Judas kiss it's done.

The most pure, innocent Man who's ever lived is now in hostile hands.
A trial by dark without witness or any rights – and off to Pontius Pilate.
Then Herod then back to Pilate whose wife dreamed Jesus was innocent.
But the people's cries to crucify win over – Jesus caught in intrigue's net.

The child of Bethlehem now hung on a Cross between two criminals.
The Light of the World by darkness and our sins is being slowly slain.
Feeling forsaken by God, but then "Into Your hands I commit my spirit."
Reunited and soon to show the world that this Child was no ordinary one.

Risen as Jesus predicted, for how can death conquer everlasting, perfect life?
From childhood to adult not one sin, not once yielding to Satan's temptations.
Proving we can have life eternal if we confess and believe in Jesus as our Savior.
Calling His followers in risen form to await the Spirit and share Christ to the nations

What If Christmas Never Came

What If… Christmas Never Came??? What if Christmas never happened? What if Christmas never came? Things around here would be different! It wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? Mankind would be in serious trouble! We’d all be in danger! If the baby Jesus wasn’t born. There would be no nativity. We wouldn’t be able to display this during our “festivity.” It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! Many say; “Happy Holiday.” They worry they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. Once again! We need to put Jesus Christ back into our CHRISTmas season! He is what Christmas is about! HE is the very reason! May we all take some time to rejoice in our savior’s birth. May there be shouts of JOY! From the corners of the earth! Let’s not take Christ out of our joyous celebration! We need him so much right now! All over this great nation! May we bring to him a heart of love for everything he’s done. As we bring honor to Christ. God’s precious son! May we continually offer to him a heart filled with praise! Not only at Christmas time… But all of our days! By Jim Pemberton 12/05/11

Upon this Christmas Day

He sleeps there in a stable
The babe born to the world
Both mother, father watch with care

Though swaddled in a cloth
He is born, yet, to be king
With but just rags for Him to wear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

For within the early morning
Angels brought the sky a voice
Calling forth those who wish to hear

Along then, came all others
Knowing truth within their hearts
That all now have nothing to fear

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

Go forth and tell all others
Who had no chance to hear
The news of hope and of the joy

Let them know the Gift of God
That comes to save us all
His son sent as this little boy

This special morning
The sun now shines bright
From stars there in the Heavens
To the rise of morning light
The world now is much brighter
As angels, too, now play
There’s hope and happiness to share
Upon this Christmas Day

THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

What does this wintery holiday truly mean, called Christmas?
Is it the cost of a present, or if you get what is on your long
Extended wish list.
No, my friend it means so much more, spiritually, emotionally,
Loves magical wonderment lives within all beings, great and small.
Loved ones gather from far and near, sharing this uplifting gift, of
Good will and cheer.
Bright lights of glamor, shiny ribbons and bows, are nothing compared,
To the pure joy shared on Christmas morning, when the youngsters awake,
Running down stairs wondering if Santa Clause came.
Or to receive an unexpected gift, a visitor from a great distance,
Coming home after serving his country.
God bless our service man and women whom have given their best,
So we at home may remain free.
Heart in hand we honor these the best of us, whom represent our
Wondrous nation.
What lies beneath the sacred Christmas tree, means very little
It is just a price tag, with pretty paper wrapped around it.
Hugs and kisses from my grand kids, mean more to me,
Or their lovely drawings of snowmen scotch tape to the frig,
Rate the most valuable in this grandma eyes than silver chains
Of gold.
How does one measure his wealth, in dollar signs, or
Possession, nay it is judged by how much one is loved,
And gives love in return.
This is the true meaning of this holiday,
And so
I will honor Christmas in my heart,
And try to keep it all the year.
Always to be the best I can be, to those special,
People in my life, friends, family, and humanity
In general.
After all a smile, or a helping hand can go
A long way these day, just try it and you'll
Find out.
Merry Christmas to all, and remember
To always to pay it forward.

Sequence

                Sequence

               Christmas;
            Too much food
           Milk and cookies
 Crumbs in Santa’s white beard
                 Ho Ho!

              New Years;
          Hats and horns
        Headache brewing
      Sleeping in profoundly
               Till morn

IF CHRISTMAS DIDN'T EXIST

Imagine how sad December would seem
if Christmas didn't exist; only the chill
and wind would be felt through the frozen bones,
nobody would live in these northern, frigid zones.

What was the true purpose of Jesus's birth?
Some even would say that it never occurred,
and why would the Magi travel long days
and nights to pay homage to the humblest of Kings?

It was prophesied by Isaiah in the Old testament and the Wise Men believed him,
following with awe the biggest and brightest star that they had ever seen;
and didn't it seem strange that God would choose those simple shepherds
to be the first to hear that message sung by a thousands of angels?

Wouldn't you be happy when a child cries out and enters life?
Wouldn't you celebrate that event with overwhelming joy and grace?
The same way Jesus entered this world to suffer and die,
and if Christmas didn't exist, who would remember who He was?

Wouldn't that envious angel, whom God expelled from Heaven with haste,
laugh loudly, knowing that we don't worship Him in spirit and faith?
Fallen Angels are the eternal enemies of this Child, who atoned our sins
by paying with His precious blood...to vindicate the Devil's astute lies!

If Christmas didn't exist, some unbelievers would shout and rejoice,
happy to erase Christ's redemptive message from the earth's surface...
contradicting the Scriptures themselves and the Divinity behind it!
Didn't Herod the Great hate Jesus, fearing He would have become the new King?

Cultures Shaped the Wreath

This symbol, the wreath, in cultures of our past
In our modern world, a Christmas ring that's here to last
Made of flowers, leaves, twigs and various fruits
Around the world their decorated, in individual suit

Strength and harsh winters, symbolised by the evergreens
Eternity in it's circumference, for many Christmas winter scenes
It's now so much in our culture, and forever it will last
To the Greeks and the Romans, I salute your cultural past

The Following of the Pipes

On this cold winter night
A horror unfurls
As they leave their trenches
Under the Bagpipes skirl

It's Christmas Eve
In World War One
Over the top they leave
The killing has begun

Knee deep in mud
Barbed wire and bodies
The piper laments
Their bravery embodied

To march into battle
With their weapon of pipes
Whilst bullets and bombs
Leave the theatre in strife

Onward they march
Turning men into hero's
The battle of the Somme
Last centuries ground zero

What makes such a man
To enter a war
His weapon of music
That they follow him for

Amongst the men that fall
Others pick up their guns
When the piper falls
Their is no one

On this cold Christmas Day
The horrors have been unfurled
As one looks over the trenches
To a different world

But the very next day
In the distance you will hear
The sound of the Scottish Bagpipes
Leaving their enemy in fear

In memory to all who fell at Christmas time, and especially to the pipers
who used music as their weapon, we will remember them, as all will be remembered

Victorian Christmas

Father Christmas is in the night sky his sleigh and reindeer a silhouette in the moonlight,
He has traveled all over the world to lavish his presents to small sleeping children,
A family has retired and left a mince pie and some sherry, the little ones dreaming,
Mr. Christmas climes up and down chimneys leaving special gifts it is a magical time.

Earlier on this Christmas Eve, many excited little children on their little tippy toes,
Straining to place their stocking high on the front room wall away from nosy grey rats,
Some scarcely reach higher than these rats, frantic that sweets will have bites in them
Older brothers and sisters unhook the stockings and pin them higher up, out of the way

Mother has sat them round a table and coaxed them off to their beds earlier than usual,
Told them all about the story of Christmas and why it is such an important special day,
They sat there wide eyed listening to every word the very young not understanding it all,
There faces rosy from the heat of a yule log burning in the hearth and everything quiet.

They understand that Father Christmas only visits very good and well behaved children,
And the children feel guilty as they cast their mind back over the last very long year,
The children find it hard to hold their tongues hoping Father Christmas won't ride past,
And that if they go to bed without any moaning and go to sleep early he will be very kind.

Laying in their beds can they hear the the sound of whistles, penny-trumpets and drums,
They squeeze their eyes shut tight, just in case it is Father Christmas flying nearby,
A wind blows the downstairs door could that be the reindeer's and the sleigh flying past,
Gradually they tire and one by one drop into a deep sleep the sort only known by children.

In their sweetest dreams they hear the cries of dolls, singing wooden birds, gold ribbons,
The ticking of pewter watches looked at by the rag dolls, toy soldiers guarding oranges,
They are asleep and so very happy the emblems of innocence, at peace on this Christmas Eve,
And when the morning finally comes they are loaded with beautiful gifts it's Christmas Day.

The frenzy of holiday season

With the flow of people in the city
the time to put reason into Christmas shopping,
has its moments of attaching a price tag
to their affection in this Christmastime.

Perhaps, that obscures the true spirit
of what Christmas really means.
Our attitudes and backgrounds
would paint the meaning in our time.

Being asked to let go of old wounds
and other things that are not of God.
We take a journey of change,
prayer and real purpose of our lives.

Looking at our biblical gift
when Christ became one of us.
He gave us a second chance
to be partakers of his Kingdom.

While we recall and relive God's love for us,
the gift of redemption and our mission;
Re-aligns us to be transformed
into a new creation.

As we enter the shopping crowds
we come to struggle with sweeping ads.
The siren call of some ad wizards
makes us discern and opt for the right tone.

Hearing Christmas carols elsewhere,
with solemnity, subtlety and beautiful melody,
there's a whiff of warmth and introspection
that highlights the season of great devotion.

Take me Back to the Time

Take me back to a time when have a Pepsi was for merry people at Christmas,
When General Electric fairy lights hung on real trees and pine needles fell,
Father Christmas smoked Pall Mall cigarettes because they were the smoothest,
A present of Tupperware for your mum was the very best present in the world.

Back to a time when Lional train sets made a man of a boy and a boy of a man,
Sammy Davis took Alka Seltzer as it eased his holiday headaches making him well,
Where Tide washing powder made every husband the most smartest man in every town,
And another happy chubby Father Christmas drank Coca Cola because it was the best.

A time when lorries slowly drove along roads selling wood for Christmas real fires,
A new Hoover would take care of any mess that was caused by the most crowded party,
Carlings Red Cap beer was the perfect drink for the perfect party with no hang overs,
And Crushed Rose Lipstick and transformed every woman from a house wife to a princess.

Woman should gain weight stop being skinny and tired with a plan that made you fat,
But the best of all were cock-eyed, cross-eyed glasses that made your eyes look normal,
And Woolworth's was the shop to buy all your Christmas presents to delight your family,
But for a young boy the best present he could ever get in his life was a new bicycle.

'Twas The Day Before Christmas Eve

‘Twas the day before Christmas eve
We gathered at the church
All sat transfixed
Not even a lurch

The preacher was ‘hot’
And spoke of the stress
He wanted the people
To hear and be blessed

“We have to remember
What Christmas is about
The birth of our Savior”
Then someone did shout!

It’s not about the gifts
‘Though we should always be a giver
It’s about He who came
Bringing Life from ‘The River’

Now what is the reason
If just a ‘holiday’ is this
Without the birth of Jesus
Another meaning is a miss

So if you’ve given in
To the hustle and bustle
And can’t find rest
Because of the tussle

Just think on these things
That Jesus was born
Remembering why
We celebrate Christmas morn

He came to bring peace
Give us access to heaven
All should honor Jesus
On this day given

So there’s hope for the world
To all who believe
In Him you’ll find rest
Just ask and receive

Away In The Manger

out in the pasture sits a church
homemade by brothers hands and filled with dirt

given to Mother so it stops her hurt
decorated each Christmas for what's its worth

as Mother lays down the cotton skirt
out comes the angels the manger and baby Jesus without a shirt

next comes her towering soldiers buried into the dirt
holding their swords that really can hurt

strewn lights gazes upon the pasture's dirt
frozen in time like a star that shivers and quirks

Mama's eyes glistens like fireworks bursts
for all her effort and time even when she hurts

as mother kneels in front of her church
she praises baby Jesus for all he's worth

comes in from the cold and winters bursts
gathers the children as they all look at her work

and tells us the story of a Christmas birth
as we sip on hot chocolate and felt the hurt

of how Jesus died for our sins on this earth
as we wiped our tears with our night shirts

I was glad to run out and relight the candles burst
and give baby Jesus one more kiss and fix his grass skirt

St Nicholas

Every ones heart is open happy and glad that's if they have a heart,
Every ones purse is opened wide whether they have much money or not,
This is the sunny good side of Christmas and he is a jolly old fellow,
St Nicholas can dry up most tears quieten sighs, clear up any storms.

He piles the yule-log high upon the hearth and beckons his brother's,
But there are tears that surge upwards from a source too deep to dry,
Clouds too dense to drive away and deeper sighs too sorrowful to bare,
He finds he cannot banish all pain so he begins to sympathize with it.

He has a gentle hand to lay upon a troubled heart he can weep and feel,
He also feels for the unfortunate and help bear the burden of the weary,
He also listens to the thoughtful retrospect its return awakens the mind,
He hopes on this one day every year people show they care for each other.

After the feast happiness ensues a season of deep reflection and good will,
Many last night enjoyed a dance, dance cards full struggling with admirers,
Some were under the kissing bush or picking trinkets from the Christmas Tree,
Playing games like blind man's buff and reveling in the best time of the year.

GETTING INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Getting into the Christmas spirit,
by examining my introspection
and making new plans for the future;
and sparking up your imagination...
could anyone imagine me dressed
as Santa Claus, who never has the minimal time
to watch a log consumed by a crackling fire?
Think again, I could be that Saint Nicholas so bold!

Prejudice is not a part of this Christmas Season,
all kinds of people, of different ages and races,
celebrate it; and it may vary from country to country
with traditions as far as Saturnalia or Yuletide...
that was a time when pagans started this festivity,
and with the birth of Jesus, the Christians
adopted these traditions as their own...
so should we object and put them aside?

Getting into the Christmas spirit,
unpacking decorations for my new Christmas Tree,
from boxes that waited too long for this day of joy;
and even my toddler, Jack, comes downstairs tripping,
handing me Grandma's favorite star, which
she had hidden away into a treasure chest so jealously,
to place on the top of this forest-scented pine tree...
when we all gather and sing," Silent Night."

Getting into the Christmas spirit,
adding, not taking away names from my long list;
and even though these are tough economic times,
I plan to be generous to all without feeling the pinch!
Give the very best of your intentions,
either in gift or in warmest embrace;
give and be content to catch that infant's smile in the distance;
the tender smile of the Holiest Child, who will give of Himself!

grandmother

Grandmother

Remember my grand mother
Use to sit in the gallery
And what ever she wanted
Use to call my brothers or me

She was born deformed
But she never let it get her way
She would be walking with her stick
Going to make her garden everyday

She had the biggest garden
In the whole of ste Madeleine
With tomato, corn, peas, peppers,
Its how many of her days was spend

She would always be doing something
She just could not sit down
If she’s not with the chickens
She’s sewing and singing old Hindi songs

Many times we sit around her
She would tell us many stories
Of fairy tales and legends
Full of so many mysteries

And when there is a wedding
They would come for her on Saturday nights
She would sing with the drums and danthal
She was always the star in the spot lights

With small branches and nylon rope
She would make a Christmas tree
And when she was finish with it
Was the best you could ever see?

She liked to buy the blow up animals
And for Christmas put all in the gallery
Our gallery use to be so decorated
Can still see it in my mind so clearly

I wish I had talk to her more
There was so much I would have like to know
About her mother and father, brothers and sisters
But you only think about after the time past and go
Remember she use to say
Her big brother use carry her when she small
And while the others children use to be playing
He would not leave her alone at all

And how her mother was very beautiful
And her father use to protect her like gold
So many great history and memories
Is now silence never to be told?

If you have a grandmother
Just look how she’s finding things to do
To bring joy and happiness everyday
To show the love she has for you

When we are young we just don’t see it
Of all the history unfolding before our eyes
And we never really realize it
Until many years after our grandparents dies

A young girl will go thru the stages of life
Then become a woman with a family to
Then one day hear the words grandma
And when you look, they will be talking to you

Go to your grandmother reach out a hand
Tell her how she is precious and dear
Tell her you love her so she will understand
Because one day you could, wake and she will not be there

Mental Victoms Part II

There is a girl a now
shes almost gotten away
played the game
jumped through the hoops
told me some secrets
while she was there she was sexually assaulted
hey i don't pay taxes
so i don't get to choose the channel
i want to watch on the televisions
that are there for the patients
i might be crazy but you know what
i can still remember what my delusions
are and what the reality is on my better days
for me its like a movie or a song stuck in my head
sexual assaults, and a place to be toyed with, a place to go to die from the age of
16 until you die, a place to run from the insanity you witness to be brought back
and punished with the fact their lengthening your stay and upping your poison
that doesn't heal!!!!

A boy singing in his room
louder
too loud to keep the peace of the unit
was sent to maximum security for just that reason
neighbored with man in shackles and chains
just after Arthur had died
and Andrew ran away
he sang his songs
and one day couldn't get coffee out of a coffee pot
so he twisted the lid
to ease the flow
and guess what
he got a needle in his butt

and the doctor lied to his father about the whole ordeal
and for two weeks after he could no longer participate in gym activities
later that Christmas
they threw his Christmas cards away
saying they were fire hazards

opening the blue pages dialing number after number after number
to report leaky pipes the sewer smell
I'll tell you one thing about those power trippers
the people that work there make it very obvious
they only work there because they are afraid to quit
because they fear they know too much
they are addicted of the group mentality of forcing medications upon those who
don't want it

I've never seen something so ugly
some things in reality are there for reason
some things are there to be changed
but when something creates so many causalities and this is just a few
which i will explain,
one was addicted to drugs
one was probably in need of help
and one was me
but we are all victoms a who gets away
in sickness or in health
would rather die in our hallucinations and illness
than be brought back there
to go through than level of torture to be brought back to the next nightmare
the psychiatrists call better

makes me wonder why soo many of the ill find hospitals just another political
war zone we are all innocent pawns of some unholy war game people with
money. I will find ways to turn the tables, this i swear
